I Was already sold on bath and shower..But almost didn't get it because agent was so nasty. I wanted to be clear on payments before signing the forms. The agent got very upset. He started yelling at me. My husband had to tell him don't be upset, I'm spending my money. And he calmed down. I no longer was interested but my husband wanted to move forward, so we did. He said it will be like six to eight weeks before we hear anything. About the tub installation.

The rep I spoke with at Safe Step was very knowledgeable and it was fine with the install techs. They showed me the features. The only thing is I wish the tub was a little bit longer. I feel like I'm sitting scrunched up in a little hole.

The placement of my shower for my mom to get in was a problem. So, we have another bathroom that just had a tub, and I said, “You know what? Let's check these out.” My mom is okay to get in the Safe Step, but when you open the door to get in, it hides that bar for her to grab to get in. It's behind the door. So, she tries to grab the door. I go, “No, mom. You gotta go behind the door.” She's 94 so she's not dexterous. I also can't even shut the door. It is so hard to push that handle down to make a seal. I have a hard time. I have to take a towel and help push it because it hurts my hand. So, I wasn't happy about that. That's a struggle, that I don't know how an older lady would do it by herself. It makes it a bit easier for me because I can hang on the outside. And the cleanup is a little easier, but it is hard for her to get her out and to try to grab that handlebar that is behind the door. That's crazy.

Also, we have that overhead shower, but it doesn't reach the seat. So, the shower comes down on her feet. But now she's cold because she's just sitting there in the air. There's no water to run on top of her. She can't get closer. The handheld shower’s great, but she only has one hand so she can't hold it and wash. So, she can't use that tub. I thought she was going to be able to sit there and take her time and wash herself, but she can't do that because she's not under the water so it's cold. I turn on the heated seat. She loves that. I put the lights on and she likes the little dancing lights. But as for her to do this herself, it's not conducive to that. You can't take a shower in there unless you can stand. I have to hold the handheld while I wash her back and she's washing herself.

And she doesn't want that whole tub filled. She can't wash her lower half if she's in a bathtub. After she passes on, I'll probably love it because I would want the whirlpool. Because I have a shower in my other bathroom, so I wouldn't use it as a shower. I would use it as a hot tub. But I didn't need to buy that big thing. I could have just bought a whirlpool bathtub for me. But that wasn't the point. It’s for mom. I wouldn't want someone to spend a lot of money on something that didn't touch anything that I wanted. And that’s sad because the salesman was here and he met my mom. He knew her limitations. I didn't have anything to look at but a picture, so it's not like I could tell. Until you put somebody in it, you just don't know.

The sales rep was good and the installation team was great. But I was supposed to get $500 for putting my brother-in-law. He got a tub. Also, my sister was supposed to get $500 too, but she didn't get anything. She got one first and then I got one.

They were very quick and efficient efficient. They did put in the tub pretty good and it's working good. My favorite feature so far is the movable showerhead and my wife puts on the water bubbling through there so that she has both jets and bubbles making her feel comfortable. But she and my daughter have at least once forgotten to empty the water before opening it up. We got flooded but I showed them what to do.

The rep was real detailed in explaining things and the installers did a good job. They did it in one day and they were in and out. The tub is easy to get in and out of and a lot handier than the old one.

I love the bathtub. The tub itself is fantastic. But the installers did a terrible job. They did such a bad job that a second person had to come and clean up their mess, but he didn't do a very good job either. When he left, the rain shower doesn't even turn on now and the shower bar that holds it up to the wall is loose. He left caulk. He didn't clean up the caulk as he should've. That was what I was expecting him to take care of. I've already spoken to their customer service people and they're ready to come back and repair everything and get it right. I wanted to talk to the sales manager and when he did call me back, there was something going on with one of our phones and we kept getting disconnected.

I appreciated everyone with the Safe Step business, except for the installers they sent. They were personable and very kind, and they kept telling me, "You'll be happy. We'll make sure you're happy before we leave." But they did the exact opposite. In fact, they rushed out of here. One was sitting in the car waiting while the other one was quickly going through telling me about the tub and the functions.

The installers were awesome. The whole thing has been really good. I like the fact that the door swings in and not out. The seat warmer is very nice. The little towel bar on the outside and the little shower nozzle are also nice. So it's really good. I like the tub. It's worth the money.

The first people that came out and installed the tub said they can only go 48 inches high with the surround of it. But when Tim came out, he said “Oh, we can do different from that.” He used this shiplap on the walls and he did just perfect. The tub is a beautiful product and we're just getting used to it.

The installers came and installed the Safe Step tub. I had considered putting a different ceiling in, but I wasn't sure, and it was left unfinished. But the tub was in. Then after that, I had to have surgery and I was laid out for a couple of weeks. Because the bathroom is right off my bedroom, I didn't want anybody coming back. So I called Safe Step as soon as I felt better and said, "Can we get this fixed?" I got passed on and then they said somebody was coming up on Friday. But it went on and on. Sometimes they didn't return my calls. So I told them, "Look, I've given you plenty of time. It's not a big job to finish this up.” But they kept saying, "Well, we’ll be out Friday." I said, "Could you possibly do it before Thanksgiving? I'd like to share this with some of my friends. It's good PR for you.” But none of them called me back.

The product is well-made and they're very friendly. But the thing is with Safe Step, they were cash payment. When the workmen walk out, they want a check for the full amount. I did that and then I thought afterward, that's not right. Sometimes it's good to do that. I'm not against it. But usually, you’ll have an option of invoicing you in 30 days for the balance. If they told me that they were shorthanded and that they got a lot going on before Thanksgiving and they couldn't do it, then it was no big deal. I understand that. I left Safe Step somewhat of an acrimonious voicemail saying, "You know, this isn't right. Just tell me what's going on. You asked me to pay in full, and I still have an unfinished tub.” They said someone will come out on Thursday.

The rep was very informative and nice. But when the installers put that tub in, they messed up my tile. They chopped up three bucketloads of my tile. If I had known that, I could have got my tile man over here and he'd have got every bit of it and I could've saved it. When I got down there to the bedroom, they had already chopped it up and put it in the buckets and thrown it out. I also had an issue with the door. So I called the rep and told him about it last night. He said he would see what he could do. It's gonna cost me something to get my doorframe fixed. Whoever drove those nails in that doorframe didn't know how to drive a nail. It went all the way through the wood. But the installers were nice and polite. They had to come back a second time because it wouldn't drain. So the other guy came and got it straightened out.

It's nice to get in the tub, but it takes so long for it to go out and I have to sit there shivering and turn the heater on overhead. Also, Safe Step needs another pull bar in there. When you stand up in the thing and try to get out of that tub, you got nothing but one little hand bar up there on the front and you got to hold the pipe the hand sprayer comes out of. I have a very hard time. I have to stand up in it and hold on to that bar on the right and one on the left, and then I got no arm to get out with.

Everything went smooth with the installation. Two people came out, and they got there around 8:30 and they were gone between 3:30 and 4:00. They did an excellent job. My dad said he liked the tub. He likes the jet where they massage his feet and his back. The tub is pretty safe. He could get in and out of it.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He was good. The installers did a great job. I've only used the tub once and I liked it. The only thing is it takes a little while to fill up. But my mother doesn't have a problem with that because once the water gets up to her feet where she's able to turn on the jets, she washes her feet or scrubs them, and she's using the jet. The bench has a warmer in it. My mother loves the tub.

The installers were excellent. I love them. I couldn’t ask for a better group. I love the tub. My favorite feature is the back massage because I had back surgery and my back is stiff and I have stiff muscle and arthritis. Plus I had bilateral knee surgery and it's good for that. I've enjoyed everything about the tub so far.

The installation of our walk-in tub was okay. The installers had to take out another tub and put it in. I need to get some other work done around the tub. But it was good. I like that you walk into the tub. I also like filling the tub up in the water, the Bluetooth, and the air and the massage features. So far, so good. I enjoy using the tub.

I needed to get a walk-in tub because my dad is disabled and needed to live with me. He's 91 and I am 68. We chose to get a Safe Step tub. The installers put it in and they left. Working with Safe Step was excellent and I very much like the product. I would recommend it.

Our sales rep was very professional. He came in and answered all our questions. He showed us exactly where everything would be. The installation was pretty quick. The crew didn't have all their parts the first day they came out. But on the second day, they had everything and they were in and out within a few hours. So far, no problem. The quality has been everything the salesman said it would be.

I like that you can just walk in and out of the tub without a problem. I have three handicap bars and I have where you put the soap. I can move the showerhead and adjust it for my wife, who uses the chair, and for me as I stand up. This walk-in tub has impacted my life a whole lot. It's much easier for my wife. I don't have to really sit there and watch her to make sure she can get in and out without falling. She just slides right in and out and sits right on the commode or comes to sit in the chair and dry off.

The rep explained everything and showed different materials. It was a pleasant experience. Tim and the man he had with him did a wonderful job with the installation. They were done in one day and they cleaned up. So it was a great experience as well. I love the tub. It has all the new features. I love the upgraded features. The tub is a wonderful product and I would highly recommend it to anybody.

My first contact with Safe Step came over and I showed him what I wanted. And he jerked. I was taken aback by his quick response. He said he thought I wanted a walk-in tub. I said I wanted a floor-level tub and that he could leave. He said no and asked to show me what they have. So, he showed me the floor-level walk-in arrangement but not really a tub.

The installation was good and the guys were very efficient. The shower curtain was hung higher than I expected though. I have a 7-inch open spot from the bottom of the shower curtain to the floor so I'm trying to get some little things that will shield the water from going out of the tub. Their shower curtain rod is fixed in and I can't move it around. Also, my water pressure isn't high and that's unusual because the water pressure in every other outlet is good. I don't know if that's them or I just need more water pressure or what to do. But I’m glad the installation is over. Safe Step was okay and I got my money's worth.

Everyone was professional and did a very nice job. We've had a couple of minor problems with the Safe Step tub and they sent out a repairman. We're waiting for a new nozzle for one of the jets and hopefully, that will solve the problem. Other than that, we love the walk-in tub.

My wife has used the Safe Step walk-in tub and been quite impressed with it. We've had to have maintenance people back here about three times because from the factory, it had some problems. But other than that, it seems to be okay now. We've been happy with it.

Safe Step was easy to work with as far as setting up appointments. The reps showed up on time and was here around the amount of time they thought they would be. So, it was an okay experience. I love the walk-in tub. But somebody's coming out today because they've already got to fix something on it. There are hinges that are inside the door and there are plastic plates that cover those hinges. One of them has already come off and another one’s getting ready to come off. So, they've got to re-glue it.

Noah, the sales rep, was great. He was very informative and polite. He went step by step with us and told us to call this number if we need anything. We could contact him if we couldn't get anybody. He was all around a great guy. But we had to postpone the appointment with Safe Step. The reps were afraid of some structural damage and we had to wait for contractors to come in and check it out. All we need to do is brace it so I had to reset the appointment for the 21st of November for the installers to put in the walk-in tub.

Safe Step was by far the better tub of the best three choices that I could find. And I had them come to the house. So, I talked to Safe Step a little bit and they were the highest one. I got them down to where I wanted, so we went with it. The installation crew was great. The two guys tore the old shower out, put the tub up and they cleaned it. They did everything. They kept asking me, “Is there anything else that you know of we can do?” I suggested a couple of things, and they did it for me. They really did great.

We love the walk-in tub. Back when I first got the tub, I weighed 360 and I was scared that I couldn't get in. They brought it to the porch. They set it down. They unpacked it and made me get in it outside the house before they even bring it in the house. They even said that if I didn't like the way it fit me and I couldn't get in it good enough, they’d pack it back up and wouldn't cost me a penny. I could get in it and it took probably two hours for them to do all of that. They brought it on in and started installing it. I would recommend the product highly. It's got that microbubble that puts the microbubbles into the water. That thing is great. I’ve got really bad dry skin, and those micro air bubbles get in and break that dry skin off. It's really great.

The sales rep from Safe Step was very good. He was friendly and professional. My only issue was the salesman said that the job would take one day, and that was absolutely false. It took two and a half days because of the plumbing. They had to take out the old shower and I didn't have a problem with that. I only had a problem with the fact that he said it would be one day. I would have felt better if he had said, "We usually try to get it done in one day, but sometimes we can't." What I had to do was rearrange my schedule and that annoyed me because it was last minute. If I had an idea, then I could have planned ahead of time, and then I would have been okay.

The two gentlemen that came to the house to take care of it were absolutely wonderful. I have nothing negative to say about them. They explained the entire process to me. They explained what was going to go on, what was going to be done, and what needed to be done. If they ran into a snag, they told me and said, "This is what's going on. We have to do this." The first snag that we encountered was that the tub that they brought me was too small. They had to call in and order a larger tub. So, that took almost three-quarters of the day.

I like the tub. There is one feature that has to do with the jets that I haven't learned how to use yet. When I turn on the jet, it splashes everywhere. The jets come out from the back and the sides and it always winds up making more of a mess. That's not a big deal though. The other features are really good. I'm still trying to adjust the handle because it always feels like when I'm gonna close it and put a lot of pressure on it, I keep thinking I'm gonna snap it, but I was able to call them and they told me I'm not going to snap it. I just have to pull it in.

The Safe Step walk-in tub is great and it does everything I want it to do. My favorite is the heated seat especially now that the weather is getting cold. And I like that it is made here in the USA in Tennessee. People who are looking for a tub should definitely take a very hard look at Safe Step.

Randy, the salesperson, was very thorough. When he did the demonstration and explained everything, he said it would take about three weeks before someone would call us. And the reps came out within that time. I got a phone call and they let me know when they were coming out. So, everything ran smoothly. I didn't have to call anybody. Bowen and Shane, the installers, did an excellent job. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. So, we didn't have any issues. From start to finish, the installation took about six and a half hours. I'm hoping and I'm quite sure that everything would go great. They filled the walk-in tub with water and ran the jets, and everything went well. I got the walk-in tub for my back and for the jets but mostly, I got it for my parents because they are elderly. So when they come down, they'll be able to take their bath without any issues falling.

I liked the person from Safe Step who came to speak to me and I liked what the walk-in tub looked like, although it has features I didn't care about. The installers were hard-working and quick. They had the floors cleaned and they tried to be very careful when I told them I have a front door screen that's heavy and slams loudly. The tub looks good but I was a little surprised at how long it takes to get more than ankle-deep and the water doesn't seem to get warm enough. Other than those, I love the showers - the stand-up one and the handheld one - and I’m very appreciative of the seat because I have some disability with standing for any length of time.

I wanted a company that I could depend on and who would come and fix it because it's guaranteed for my lifetime. It was reassuring that Safe Step would send somebody to a place where they were having a problem. The installers worked hard but they weren't very friendly. They had taken the door off to the bathroom and one guy stopped what he was doing because I was watching him. He put the door back in and he shut it. Also, there's a trapdoor that you can get to and that came open. He didn't tell me it was open and all the dust got into my closet. He could have told me that, that door came open and all this dust and dirt is getting in your closet or something, but he didn't. And there was a little key that I wanted and it was sitting on the windowsill and it was gone. I questioned him about it and he gave me one. He said the keys are all the same but that little key was smaller than the one he gave me.

He showed me how the tub worked and he filled it up with water. Then when he showed me how he did it and it took a long time for it to finally drain. He told me I need a breather in there. The new houses have it and mine doesn't have one. He took me downstairs and showed me where I could buy one and get one put in. But there are no plumbers around here. The guy that sold me the tub should have known that because that's their business and they should have offered that to me and put it in. He was great but he should have told me that. I haven't used the tub and I don't know when I'll get around because I don't know people here.

When the sales rep came out, he looked at the space and explained the product to us completely. He spent a lot of time going over all the features and benefits. We spent as much time as we needed and he answered any questions we had. He just went over everything. He was really informative. By the time we got to the part of making a decision, the decision was pretty much already made. The Safe Step tub is everything we were looking for at a really good price.

The installers said they would be out here by 8 or 9 o'clock and they were there about 8 or 9 o'clock. They introduced themselves, took care of everything, and left the places cleaned up. They had to come back because we had to do a short wall for the shower part of it. When they were done, they went over everything with us and made sure we understood how the features worked. One guy gave me his phone number and said if I had any questions whatsoever, I can call him and he would gladly walk me through it. The tub takes a little while to fill up but the drain time is beautiful. It drains quick. All the other features work great. My wife said that the first time she used it, she got out and then her muscles felt relaxed. It's gonna do well for her. We're telling everybody they need to get one.

What I was looking for was a transfer from a tub to just a walk-in shower. But when Safe Step came over, they explained all the shower stuff. The install was three quarters of a day. And they were very pleasant. It seemed very good. Those jets are wonderful. I have chronic back pain, and it's wonderful. It relaxes me a lot. It's a great place to have a cup of coffee at on an afternoon. I already told my sister that they should get one if they could.

The Safe Step sales rep was a really nice guy. He was very helpful. The install guys were really nice, too. It was a little bit of a difference between like when we were sold it. We didn't realize things we were going to have to do to the bathroom. I kind of had the feeling that it was going to fit into the space where we had the other Jacuzzi tub and now, we've got some tiles and boards that we have to replace on the floor because the other thing was bigger.

The sales rep was really good. The delivery guys were really, really good as well. The gentleman asked me where I wanted the handles at and he put them right where I wanted them. But it'd be nice if I had a handle by the chair. I like the seat that they put in the plan. It was really nice.

The Safe Step salesman had an appointment with me at 0900 and was here promptly and left 45 minutes later promising to return with a quote for my walk-in tub. He never came back. I called the company multiple times over the course of the next two week and never did get a quote. I was told that I was "bothering" and "being dis-respectful" the corporate offices. I have since found a contractor that is doing the work I want done but will avoid Safe Step in the future.

My mother thought that Safe Step would be a better way to feel safer in the tub and not standing in the shower. She's afraid of falling down. The installation didn't take very long at all. Everybody was friendly and it was great. Everything's nice aside from sometimes, I hold it down too long on the remote control. When the blue light flashes in the middle, I don't know what that means other than it can't recognize anything I've done for the last two minutes.

When I found out Safe Step could serve as a tub or a shower, that was appealing to me. I was very pleased with the two young men who installed it for me. One has been back to make some adjustments, so they've been easy to deal with. I felt positive about the install process.

I liked the price. And the one guy said, “You have to do it now or not.” I don't do business that way. But we still played with it. The rep was knowledgeable of everything. He was concerned with the safety end of it. It has some of those hand holds that you suction cup on the walls. Safe Step should have those in there. They're not safe. We did not get the door. They talked us out of the door, so we got the curtain. There's still a lot of water ending up on the floor outside. I like being able to stand up. The only thing is we didn't have a lot of stuff put in it. Soap, shampoo, and you almost have to open the curtains. We set it outside and that doesn't work well.

I called the number and Safe Step set up an appointment. Had a salesman come out and talk to me. My son came and sat in on the discussion, and the salesman was wonderful. I never saw anybody any more prepared than he was, and gave us the presentation and showed us everything. We put down a deposit. A few weeks later, the guys came and installed my tub. And I was tickled to death. The major one’s name was Frank. He was as personable and as fun to talk to as any installer would be. We had a wonderful experience that day.

Sometimes, I push the water jet, and I push the air jet and it opened the door. Other times, I can't get it that way. Safe Step advertised a 4-inch step out of the tub. Mine is 7.5-inch step out of the tub. I'm 90 years old and I've got arthritis. 4 inches is not that big of a deal, but I just wonder why. Everything else is okay. I'm very satisfied with it.

I like that our Safe Step tub opens up and I can walk in and out of it. The sales rep that sold it to us was Gary and he was very knowledgeable. He was very nice to us and he wasn't pushy. He sat down, took his time and talked to us, and we really liked him. The installers who came in were very nice, too. The installation took all day but it was well worth it. The tub is wonderful. I only fill it so full because I'm afraid of falling but it really works good. I wash my hair quite a bit in it and I really like it. Also, I was in terrible pain before we got it and I've noticed a big difference.

I use the tub three times a week and though it's a little pricey, I really enjoy it. My wife enjoys it too especially the jet part around her leg.

I like that Safe Step is American-made and since it's American-made, you can get replacement parts easily. The rep was very nice and positive. I didn’t feel like I was wasting my time. The installers were also nice and prompt. They cleaned up everything. I really enjoy the tub. I like how it's immediately hot water. It has been a godsend as far as I have a bad knee and bad feet. It's a lot of money. I had to dip into my savings, but I felt like I needed it and it was worth it.

The Safe Step reps were quite professional and cordial. They explained things to me. The only thing was they had the hot and the cold water switched. But I like the idea of not having to put a rubber mat down. I have the chair. They put in a horizontal bar for me close to the chair and then another horizontal bar as you step out. He had put another attachment so that I could put the sprayer head down there right on the chair. So I didn't have to stand up or turn it off when I was sitting in the chair. I'm quite pleased. However, I would like to have another shower caddy. I would recommend Safe Step. The price would be objectionable to a lot of people. But it was worth it to get somebody in here that knew what they were doing.

The installation went really well. Really nice guys put the tub in. We like the tub but there's a little button on the back of it when you sit down on the right hand side and I don't know what that's for. Also, I don't know what to do with the aromatherapy stuff. Other than that, everybody who we've talked to is really nice. The tub looks really nice and we're satisfied with it.

If there was a little glitch, they explained what they'd have to do and they asked permission. They did very well. They were very thorough and when they completed the installation, they explained the tub thoroughly and left me instructions. They were very caring and it was a very personal experience. The sales rep was very pleasant and the installer was extremely nice. He did an extremely good job. But I'm having problems now 'cause the air quit and I've been trying since September 8th to get a service call and I can't get anybody to do it. I keep calling the service department and they keep telling me they will get ahold of the man to get a hold of me to schedule an appointment. It hasn't happened and I've called five different times. We can still use the tub and everything works except the air jets. But I'm in this thing for $22,000 and I have a lifetime warranty yet I can't get service. I'm not very happy about that.

I had the tub put in because my wife has dementia and with the regular tub, I could not take care of her like I should because I couldn't get her back out right. This has helped me tremendously and I'm super pleased with it.

The representative was excellent and the people who installed the tub were very good. But the tub uses a lot of water to get the full use out of it. Also, it was awfully expensive. The Safe Step reps were very nice. However, there's not much room to sit on. If it was just a little bit wider there, not from hip to hip but from backbone to knee, it wouldn't affect getting in and out of the tub, but it certainly would make you feel safer. It is also extremely costly, but it is of good quality. I like the different jets on it. It's a longer tub than what I had. So, it's tough for me to get up on my feet. I've been in a wheelchair for 11 years now and it's really hard for me to stand up. You have to do that to reach anything behind the faucets because they're quite a distance. So, if that seat was deeper, it would be easier.

For somebody who could move around a bit and help themselves to get in and out, the Safe Step would be a very nice thing. But it's a hassle really with somebody who's almost completely unstable. I was not happy with the installation. They got the seat going the wrong way the first time. They said I ordered that, which was ridiculous. The way they had come in, I'd be facing a wall. It made no sense. The wall that they put up was very rough. I had to have somebody else come in and redo some of it. The quality of the tub is good, except they broke something downstairs in the plumbing. But it looks nice. My husband is pleased with it. I recently went in and it was nice. I thought that the water would come up higher on me. But it only goes to not even my waist.

But the thermostat was put in wrong and it was opposite of what it should have been. If he thought he was having cold water, he had hot water. Then they came and turned that. They had to change the hose because the hot and the cold was opposite of what they should have been. It seems to be okay now.

The tub leaked and my floor is ruined. They were here today and moved it so we could tear all the flooring out and replace it. The walls are black. The drywall and wood are molded. We got the tub July the 5th and we have never used it yet. First time my wife tried to use it, the water ran out the door. So, they had to come back and replace the door. At the same time, they found the leak and turned it off, but it already ran for a month. I talked to them Monday and they showed up today and took the tub out. We pulled a part of the floor up. It's completely soaked. It's got to be all completely replaced and the walls are gonna have to be replaced. I got a contractor coming tomorrow to see what the damage is gonna cost to fix the floor and walls. It happens, they're getting it taken care of and that's the main thing.

Mike was a smooth talker. The worst part was that they brought the wrong tub. So they took it back and we had to wait two weeks for the correct tub to arrive. They installed the correct tub but we had to wait five weeks for our receipt of payment. Now it's six weeks and we're still waiting for an amendment of our contract. Since they delivered the wrong tub the first time, we need an amendment of our contract when they delivered the correct tub. We have called many times to ask for an amendment of our contract. Not only that, but we're still waiting for it to be inspected. We don't know who's supposed to inspect it. They make promises but they don't fulfill them.

When the salesman from Safe Step came, he told us that the people coming to do this installation would be certified plumbers and electricians, which was a lie. Neither of them was certified in anything. I asked them when they got here and they just do installation work. But the fellas were nice enough. I did have one issue with the way they did the work. They had to run an electric line across the outside of my home to run current in for this unit. I asked them if they were going to put that in a PCV conduit and the guy said they didn't work with conduit. The best they could do would just run the PCV line on the outside of the house.

There are PCVs that are designed so that they can be exposed on the outside but the code says they're supposed to be in conduit. This unit that's installed here is actually contrary to the electrical code. If some inspector comes by and looks at that, he would order that this whole be taken out and it would be up to me to pay to put it back in. That leaves a real bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, they had the work done in the day like they said they would.

But the salesman also told me about how roomy this was and how easy it would be to move around it but the space is so small. They say you can take a shower in there but I don't know how you do it unless you're a contortionist. There's no place to move. I've almost fallen in it twice. And the door is so small, I can't get through it. They said that door's advantageous because I can lean on it and so on but I'd rather have a big door where I can walk through it. The other thing is those water jets in there spray every place except where I need them. I had this terrible excruciating pain and I told myself that hydrotherapy should do something for that but the nozzles in that unit don't strike my body where the therapy needs to be applied.

The way they advertise this tub is absolutely fraudulent and I intend to report this to the Better Business Bureau. I tried to call the guy who sold us the unit but he wouldn't return the call. Then, I tried to contact Safe Step and I was put on hold and I never got ahold of anybody. I can't speak to anyone and I really feel like I've been taken advantage of. I was a lot better off having a shower stall installed in my home. It's just a matter of me expending electrical energy, wasting water to fill the tub, and then getting no substantive relief out of it except a bill for $20,000. It's a $20,000 boondoggle and if I knew what I know now, it wouldn't be in my bathroom. If there's anything I can do to discourage anyone else from buying one, I sure as the devil will do that.

Jill came and explained and told me how they work. By the time I was ready to purchase my tub, they had a lot of features added to it, which was comfortable for me to use. The installer was a very friendly person. I did call Safe Step back because they had to pull some of the areas from my tub so that it could get to the plumbing, and it wasn't sealed back properly. They said to take pictures and I took pictures but nobody came back to fix it.

The only thing is that you have to totally relax to take a bath in the tub because it takes a longer time for the water to run out. But away from that, it is very safe for me because I had two hip replacements and two knee replacements. One of my top reason for purchasing this tub is because I used to step over into the regular shower, and I slipped about an inch. It was so scary because I was home, and if I had dropped in it, I wouldn't have anybody to help me out. Another thing is that I can't use a regular bath to get into. So this is nice for me to sit and let the water fill up and just wade myself in it. So it's more comforting for me. The features are good, like the warm seat.

We loved Safe Step's rep. He told us everything. And the people that came in and put it in the walk-in shower were great. I couldn't believe the way the contractors came out and did it. Usually, somebody would come in and put it in like they needed to. But they asked, "Where do you want this? How do you want this?" That just made it more personal. I was also surprised on how they put their cost down, made sure the floor didn't get messed up. Everything was great.

I thought I could do the walk-in tub because I really wanted it. But I can't because there's a five-inch step. I couldn't get in like I needed to. So I went with the walk-in shower because easy to push the knob down on the handheld. And it’s easy to get into. My scooter goes right up to it so where my leg doesn't want to work because I have MS. And I can get out, turn around and sit down. I have a walk-in shower in my other bathroom, but it has an inch and a half step in and I have to drag my foot across it. But my bathroom was too small. So we put it in my bathroom, which is a bigger bathroom off of my bedroom and it works great.

There are a couple of things that are problematic, but I can work around them and I'm doing fine with my Safe Step tub. I'm a larger woman midriff. I don't have a lot of room to squeeze myself into a position to be able to open the door to be able to get out. Other than that, everything's fine. The quality is good because it's a great, seamless apparatus and it doesn't creak, leak, and move around. It seems to function great. The thing I like the most is the water whirling around when I'm done washing up. I have a lot of arthritis and the tub seems to help with it.

We love our tub and the guys who installed it were amazing. But we started noticing that whenever we would drain it, it would leak at the bottom. One of the pieces on the hinges came off as well. I called the number that was on the website and I could never get through to a person. When I left a message, nobody called back. Ryan was the representative that we ordered it from and he gave me a number that he likes to use. That's when I finally got a human being.

The lady I spoke with was super nice. I asked if they could try to schedule somebody to come and check out our tub on a Monday and she assured me I would get a phone call. I never got a phone call. I called that Monday to ask if they were coming out to check on our tub and I got another lady who said she would follow up on it and that they would make sure somebody gets out here. Nobody came. Everybody has been super nice and I understand that those guys that installed have jobs. When they do the install, they're doing that extra and I understand there may be a conflict, but that's something Safe Step has to work on because we are not getting called back. It's a great tub but right now, I'm not happy.

The installers did a wonderful job. They had to cut a big hole in my father's bedroom to get it into the bathroom, but they put a panel up so there's easy access to everything in it. It looks pretty good. The only thing was there was a shelf at the wall that I couldn't move. I told them, “Well, you guys would have to move that,” and they didn't. They didn't caulk the wall that they put up next to the wall that's in the trailer. They did leave a can of caulk, and I didn't ask them to. It took me several days before I found that, and I called him and that's when he told me that. But I'm disabled and my mother's disabled too, so we can't do it either. So it's like an unfinished job. But he said that I could take some cleaner and get the pencil marks off the wall.

The installers were very nice and polite. They explained what was insured and wasn't warrantied. They showed me how the things worked, filled it up, drained it, and cleaned it, and took pictures. My mother has been able to use it once. It's hard to get her in there. But once she got over being claustrophobic, it went pretty good. The quality seems to be pretty good. We use the micro and the air bubbles in the water and it seemed to work pretty good the one time we used it, and it drained well. It purges itself like 30 minutes after you use it.

The Safe Step rep who came out to the house had a lot of information and pictures and testimonials. He explained it thoroughly and how my husband would benefit from it, and he went over the financing and payment. It went well. There were a couple of issues with the installation. There was a lack of proper communication. It was a complete remodel of the bathroom. So, the lack of information and explanation of how to prepare the bathroom between the company that installed it and my contractor was the issue. The installation was behind for at least a month, but it's done and I'm happy with it.

My Safe Step tub has helped my legs out. The only thing I don’t like about it is that I have to struggle to get the door closed when I get in there. My legs are still too big to wiggle in between the door and the seat. It’s just gonna take me time to find the right combination. When I do, it’s gonna feel great. The sales rep did a really good job of explaining what it was, how it worked, and how it helped other people with their circulation. The installers did really well, too. They got it done faster than I thought they would. They had access to the bathroom from an outside door. So, it made it easier. Everything went just like clockwork.

We like our Safe Step tub. The installation was pretty good and the crew was really nice. We like sitting down in the tub and being in that much water. The handheld part where you can wash your hair with it while you're sitting down is really nice. The shower part feels really nice, too. The tub's just a little bit too narrow for me.

When the sales rep came out, he did a good presentation. I like the grab bars and I love the jets on the tub. I took pictures and showed it to a couple of family members and friends. They were glad I got it. My heart only works about 20% so when standing up in the old shower, my husband had to get in with me and soap me off and shampoo my hair. It wore me out. I thought it would be a lot better if I could sit down. But right now, I can only sit in it for 10 minutes. I'm hoping I'll get more used to it. I wish the seat was padded though.

I talked to Nick who works for Safe Step, there was an appointment setup for the 13 Jul 2022. My sister had setup the appointment for my mom, but when he called my sister to verify the appointment he was so rude to her, my sister told him maybe his company was not for us. My sister was so upset she called me. I called him to make sure that maybe there might be a misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding, he was very rude to me right at the start. I told him, we don’t need to deal with him or his company. I suggest anyone wanting a product that Safe Step sells, to look elsewhere!

The salesman was very friendly and answered all of our questions. He gave us a few days to think about it where others that we talked to wanted to do it right away. The installation was very quick. I was surprised that there were two guys. They were here at 8 o'clock in the morning and gone by 4:30, and it was done. They cleaned up everything and it was great. I love the tub. The thing I like best about it is I could just sit in it. I've had knee surgeries and back problems. I can get the water level up over my knees and lower back, and just sit there. The only thing I would change if I could somehow, and I don't know how, is the design of the entrance door. It's kind of in the way. Once you get in, you got to swirl around behind it to close it.

Safe Step came when they said they were gonna come, and their guys did a good job of selling the product. They were very knowledgeable. They said the installation was gonna be about eight weeks, and then ended up being eight days. The installers also did a great job.

The sales rep and installers were very professional. For the installation, they had to come back because they found a defective part on the tub. But they were very nice and the quality of the tub seems to be very high. It was what I was looking for and I use it all the time. Aside from that, when we had one question, Safe Step's reps were able to help us over the phone with it. I would highly recommend them.

A gentleman by the name of John came out and when we saw the products, they looked pretty decent. John was very professional. He showed us all the parts and how well made they were, and he had a good spiel. But he never showed us a picture of the tub. I had a Jacuzzi tub but I'm in my 80s and I have trouble getting out of the tub. So I told him that I was looking for something I can get into and take a nice, hot soak. He went on about everything then gave us the information on the cost, which was a little over the top. Then, he told me the tub would be delivered to me within six to eight weeks. We met him on the 24th of February and I got a call telling me this tub would be installed on March 10th, which was way too soon because I expected it to be mid-April.

Then, I got a notice on April 4th from the permit department of Yavapai County saying I needed to go in to their site and get my permit so the job could be posted before the installation. But I told them that the tub had been installed already. So the issue here is the construction company, Cavalier Construction Company. They got the permit to install the tub but they didn't submit a drawing or blueprint on how it should be installed.

Now, I had an existing tub which I asked for to be removed and for the Safe Step to be placed in that same spot. But John told me that they couldn't place it that way and they needed to reverse it. In my mind, if you change the existing drainage, you need county approval. But Cavalier did not get Yavapai County approval to change the drainage. Consequently, Cavalier Construction came in on the 10th, pulled out my old tub, and carted it away. They had two men working here all day and they had my master bathroom sealed off completely with plastic tape so I couldn't see anything that was going on.

When everything was finalized, they called me in to look at the tub and I didn't realize that there was an issue. With my Jacuzzi tub, the side of it was a flat surface, but the Safe Step has two openings. One that's held with a little magnet, that narrow strip, and the access panel was blocked because it was butted up to the wall of our vanity in the bathroom.

On the 16th of June, the inspector, Brent, came in to inspect what was done and when he looked over everything, he told me the job is a failure. He commented that they must provide a dedicated 20 amp circuit to breaker panel with breaker identified and that an open tapping into an existing outlet supplied by a 14-2 wire is not allowed. So Cavalier piggybacked the electrical on me and didn't do it properly. His other comment was that they were unable to verify equipment bonding and that the tub must be located as to allow the removal of the access panel and have enough room to service the equipment. I've been working back and forth now between Sierra, the construction lady who oversees everybody, and the senior inspector from Yavapai County, about this. When I talked to the owner of Cavalier, Nick, he said there was no problem. He stated that the tub can be pulled out if work needed, or have the back slab removed.

I had a very simple conversation with Safe Step's sales rep and the installation was very rapid, though the tub wasn't working for quite a while. They thought it was a pump, they thought it was the switch. Finally, they determined that the electricians installed the wrong circuit breaker. It has been repaired now and the tub is working. I like that I can get in and out of it pretty easily and I have no problems with Safe Step, though I believe the original electricians were not really qualified to do their work.

The company was absolutely brilliant. The people that came and installed did a good job. It was dirty before they came. They were fabulous to work with. My wife loves the tub. But it could be better if there was a little bit more space in the tub to open the door because my wife needs to kind of scrunch up in order to get the door opened around her knees.

Safe Step's salesperson came out and did an excellent job of selling me on the walk-in tub. But there are a couple of things that I haven't heard from anybody since they installed. Other than that, the installers were very proficient and they did an excellent job. Everybody’s been extremely professional. I paid $19,500 for my Safe Step and it's a big investment. At the time I got it, I was debating whether to upgrade my truck or get something for my back. I'm glad that I got the Safe Step and I like the jets on it that are on my lower back.

But I have a 40-gallon hot water heater, which is only a year-and-a-half old, and it's not big enough because I run out of hot water about 10 gallons before I can start the thing working right. I've worked a way around this hot water problem though. I get all the hot water in, then I use the handheld shower, and I get nice and clean. Then I turn the heater on. It takes about 10 minutes and I can get more hot water. I also told my wife when I'm using it to not wash dishes or the clothes. But she can flush the toilet since that’s cold water.

Aside from that, the brochure that Safe Step gave me is for an older model. I got the rain shower way up top and I got the handheld shower, and all the instructions I have on that doesn't have those two items. And there are a couple of things that I don't know what they are, like the micro. I’ve got to call the main headquarters and see if they have an updated brochure because if you can operate this tub, you can fly a plane. It’s got a lot of features but there are only three that I don't know what they're for. My wife thinks she does, but the other day, she flooded the bathroom because she forgot to lock the door in.

The salesperson told me so many different lies, it wasn’t even funny. He told me that my water heater would be just fine, but it's not. When I complained that I couldn’t fill up the tub to utilize the jets because I couldn’t get enough water, he said, “Well, how big is it?” I told him and he said, “Well, that should be fine. Maybe you need to have a plumber come out and look at the elements.” I said, “I’ve only lived in this house three months, it’s a new-build.” The person that came out that did the repairs said, “He lied to you. There is no way a 45-gallon water heater is enough to fill the tub up with hot water.” So here I am with this tub that I can’t use the jets unless I buy a bigger hot water heater.

When the little part that covers the hinge on the door fell off, Safe Step sent someone out to fix it. Also, the drain thing had to be replaced. We did that and it’s working. But now, another hinge fell off and I haven’t called them because it gets me all upset. The salesperson also told me that in no uncertain terms would Medicare pay for any walk-in tub, which is not true. The tub is extremely overpriced. It probably is a very good product, but there are others that are equally as good that you could get some help from Medicare. But I enjoy using the tub. I just can’t use the jets because I can’t fill it up. If that part worked, I would be happy. But I should have shopped around and got something cheaper.

Safe Step did a good job. The sales rep explained things well. The installer came in bad weather but the installation took him only six hours. So he did a good job. But I wish I would have had an extra grab bar installed. The guy asked me at the time if I needed another one and I wish I would have told him, yes, but I didn't. So, other than that, the tub seems to be working fine. It's so easy to take a bath or a shower. I don't have to move a bunch of stuff around and it's much more convenient.

The gal that came was better prepared than anybody else we’d spoken with. The tub is what it’s said to be. It’s safer to get in and out. It's comfortable and it looks nice. They did a good job of installing it. But there is one area where the caulking didn't stick to the wall, and water can leak down. It needs to be fixed.

I love the tub. I really like the microjets that put air into the water. The tub rejuvenates my skin and gets rid of the dryness on my legs and my arms. I've really been pleased with that. Safe Step did exactly what they said they will go on to do. The tub has worked out really well. My only problem is the length of time it takes for the water to drain out. I talked to the technician when he was here and then I've also talked with Safe Step again. The rep let me know that it was normal.

The salesman sold Safe Step with a good pitch, but I'm not real happy with it. The tub has leaked ever since I've had it. I've had them out and I've called and called, and I called three weeks ago. I told the girl, “Hey, look. You told me to pop the button out and I went by the instructions. Well, the top of it broke off.” She said, “Well, we're gonna have to come out and service it, and it's gonna be $179.” One reason I bought it was that there was a lifetime warranty on the tub. But now they want $179 to go out and service it. I don't understand. The tub cost 18,000 and I've only taken a bath in it about 10 times in the past eight months. It shouldn't be leaking. I should be having better results than what I'm getting.

I like the water working as far as aerating. It's good for the massage. But I've never got the aroma therapy to work. I talked to them all about it but I never got any results. They sent me another one of the little containers that had the aroma in it, and I put it but I couldn't smell anything when I'm taking a bath. I can't even smell it. To me, the aroma does not work. If I don’t get any results this week, I'm seriously thinking about taking some action.

The salesperson was very good. But I was not happy with the installation team. The tub was fine but they did not put it in like I wanted it. They did a poor job of installing the drain on the tub. It wasn't draining downhill and then they took a two by four and nailed it into one of my joists and pushed it up and then another one to hold it down. But the tub has good quality. I like the water jets all the time.

The rep was a really nice guy. The fella who was in charge of the installation was really informative and knowledgeable. He got everything explained. But his hired help left a little bit to be desired. One was on the lazy side. Also, my wife is a bit disappointed as the tub is a bit small to her. Additionally, the salesman said our water heater would handle it but we've got to upgrade our water heater. The heater handles the tub in the summertime but in the winter, it doesn't when all the water is dead cold. All in all, it was a pretty good deal. It has hydrotherapy, the air and the water jets. We're happy with it.

The guy that we dealt with was a salesperson so he made everything sound great. But everything was positive with him. I like the jets and the whirlpool of the tub. The jets on the muscles of the legs are my favorite thing. We have the quality of water heater that the guy recommended. But by the time we fill the tub up, the water is barely warm. So we've not used the tub that often because of that. In order to get the best results, we're going to have to buy a bigger water heater. Even though ours is what the company recommends.

I liked the people that installed my Safe Step. They were very nice and the lady that sold it to me was excellent. But the 40 gallons of water is quite expensive here and the one panel in the front fell off. Plus, one of the covers for the hinge fell off and I'm not sure how to put them back on the panel. It doesn't look like it should and it's not quite in there right. But it doesn't take away from the appearance. Other than that, I love my walk-in tub and I like the shower. I was pleased with the Safe Step rep. Also, the crew was fine. But considering the fact that the representatives are not local, I know whatever issue I have it would take time for them to get here. I wanted the jets and it's cool. I've been getting in hot water most days for so many years. I now have some conditions that make that difficult, and I'm able to get in hot water again. The problem is pushing the button. Sometimes it drains, and at a certain point, it stops. I had to open it several times because my drain is slow. And at a certain point, it stops draining with the push button and I have to push it over manually. For the amount of money I spent, I should have zero issues.

The staff at Safe Step was great but we had issues with the installation. The tub had to be taken out and reinstalled because of the caulking issues with it. Everybody was nice, jumped on the problem, and took care of it. But we were disappointed that we had to go through all that just to get something that cost that much money. And it is still having a little bit of caulk issue, which really unnerves me.

The sales guy was awesome. He was very articulate with the product and didn't sell me on it. He was very nice about it and explained everything to me. I love the way he went about being a salesperson. The installer was quiet and did an excellent job. He did a good clean up behind himself when he did the installation. I like everything about the tub and I can hear my music too when I’m in it. When I first tried to use it, it wouldn't come on and the features on there weren’t working. I was in the tub and I had my phone with me, and I told my daughter to check and see if the green light that was supposed to be on for the electrical was on. And that was what it was. Then, we tried to use the shower and it would just shoot up and water would come out. So, I called Safe Step about that. The guy came right out. He said he knew what the problem was and fixed it right away.

The sales rep was good and I liked him. My mother enjoys the tub but there are a couple of things that could have been done differently. The caulking doesn't seal well and I'm gonna have problems on my wall behind this. It should have been a one piece that comes up the wall and it's not. It looked good when it was done. But as soon as the water and a body is in there and there's weight, it separates.

The installers came back here and they caulked it again but I'm still having the same issue. They came in, we filled up the tub and they caulked it with the water in it so it had some weight, and they thought that would do it. It's still the same thing though. It still separated. So, I'll just be careful with the water splashing there. But it's hard to wipe it down all the time. The installers were saying there's not much they can do with the caulking. I spent all this money and there's gonna be water in the walls. So, there's going to be some type of mold and eventually, there's gonna be an issue. But I would recommend Safe Step. They did a very good service by putting it in. The tub works well and my mother likes it.

The lady came out to speak to us and explained everything, which was the reason why we decided on Safe Step. The installers showed up at the time they were supposed to. They came in and looked at the area. I was ready to drape off the bedroom but they said I didn’t need to do that. They said they could drape my bed if I would like, and I said they could. They draped the bed very nicely with plastic although it wasn’t necessary. They got to work and it had it done in half a day. They took out our tub and shower unit. It was very professional, quiet and they cleaned up after themselves. It was a good experience.

My mom uses the tub and she talks about it every time she gets out of it. She doesn't use a whole lot of other features except the air jets every now and then. She still says it’s chilly waiting for it to fill up but she's right next to the water heater so the water coming in is warm when it gets to her tub and she enjoys it. She has always liked to soak in a tub and it was just getting more hazardous for her to step into that tub-shower unit. So, it's been a good situation all around. She enjoys it. She'll soak for a little bit and then let the water out and then shower and wash her hair, which is good. It's much quicker for her and it's much safer, and we're pleased because of that. Safe Step has taken a lot of worry off me. My mom still gets around well and does well with most things, so at first, she said she didn’t need it. But now that she's got it, she likes it and thinks positive things after every bath.

We love Safe Step. My husband can take a bath every day, which he couldn't before at all. And I couldn't get out of those regular ones anymore, either. So it's wonderful. The handle fell off right away and they had a service person within the next day. He put it back on and he also saw something else that maybe the installers didn't put in right, so he did that. He said he would be calling me in a bit. I like the lifetime guarantee, I hope every time something goes wrong, I could call them, because I'm old. I don’t know what to do with it if something goes wrong. You can buy the walk-in tub at Lowe's but you don't have the electricians and the installation people, and they don't put them in.

The salesman was terrific. He was good, social and fun to talk to. So, the whole thing was very good and the serviceman was this adorable young guy. I wanted something good and we need the bath. We you get this age, it’s like, “Wow! That’s neat!” You can do your hair and I liked the micro thing. We have scabies on our skin and after everything is said, we love the tub. I'm very pleased.

I saw the tub a very long time before purchasing it because of the price. But at the time, I had a bad knee and I couldn't climb in and over the tub that I had. So, I decided this was the product that I needed to get in and out. But I'm sorry that I made the investment. I’m not happy with the tub. There are several reasons why I'm not. I'm not comfortable with it and there are things that are not working correctly. The water that goes into the tub, by the time it gets up to the level where you can turn the jet on, it’s not as hot as I would like it to be because there's some kind of a control in the tub that only allows the water to be 104 degrees. So, the man's coming over today to check that to see if it is 104. Because I don't think it reaches 104. I want it to be hotter and there's nothing I can do on my end. It's very upsetting to me. Because when I get in my tub, normally, I can make the water hotter or colder just by turning the knob. I can’t do that with this.

You’re supposed to press the electric panel there for the automatic drain. It wouldn't open up the drain so I have to sit there and hold the manual drain open until the tub drains. The gal who’d been working with me has been very helpful and accommodating, and the man is coming today to try to resolve that. I bought the tub and I'm gonna have to use it. But if I had to do it over again, at this point in time, I would not.

I got three different companies that I set up appointments with. At the end of listening to their sales pitch, I liked the combination of qualities that Safe Step had the best. The installer came and it was done. The tub was clean. My only complaint is in the tile on the wall where the old grab bar was, they left the screws in the wall, which is a little unsightly.

Also, my hot water tank was a little too small. They judged that wrong. I can’t fill up the tub with really nice warm water. Dennis was my salesman and he is arranging for a guy to come and do some sort of hot water fix. The guy was supposed to arrive the Sunday before. He says he called me but he didn't call me at the time that he said he was going to call me. I wasn't in the house and I didn't hear his phone call. He phoned me later saying that he had called me. Now he couldn't come. He was supposed to come yesterday.

He phoned today, saying that he phoned me several times. He said the telephone rang but I never heard it ring. We set a time that he will show up, which is for this coming Saturday. Other than that, I like the features of the tub particularly the little bubbles. That was the main selling point for me. It's just relaxing and comfortable. This tub has given me pleasure. Safe Step is a very good product and it was very professionally installed.

Safe Step's customer service was wonderful. They were patient with us and friendly as well. A week ago, the tub was leaking around the big shower. But the man came out the day after I called and he fixed everything, and it's working fine. I'm a diabetic with neuropathy and I would have to go across town to do and pay for the exercises I do in the tub. Before, my legs were just healing on the outside, not the inside. Now it’s doing both.

The sales rep was fine. Our interaction was very good, and when the Safe Step team came out, they installed the tub in one day. I like the tub because it's easy to get in and out.

The rep was great and very professional. She came in and we talked, and she was very courteous and offered me up everything that I needed. The installers were very good. They explained what they were gonna do and they got to it. I was overweight at the time I bought the tub and had it put in. Now, I've lost a bunch of weight and I don't need it. But I use it. It’s easier for me to get in and out of and take a bath. It was a fantastic and enjoyable experience with Safe Step. I'm very happy with it. I have been talking it up to people and telling them what it does and how good it was putting it in.

My Safe Step tub is a little too short for me but I like it. I got it for my wife because she gets cramps in her legs. The quality is great. The carpenters that put it in were experts. My house is worth about $2 million, so I was kind of concerned about them installing and cutting all that out to put that in and that they might not do a good job, but they did a beautiful job. Everything was good.

The installation went well. They did a very good job, and I’m very pleased with them. We're doing well with the tub too. We love it, and the main thing we like is the jets. My husband has toes amputated off both feet so it's great for him to get in and soak his feet.

The installation of our Safe Step could not have been better. From the very beginning to the end, the gentleman who came to get the information and to measure for the installation was absolutely fantastic. He told us exactly what to expect and when to expect it. It was a flawless installation. I could not have asked for a better group of people.

When I first got it ordered, I ordered the tan or bone-colored step-in tub. Four days later, I was in my bathtub and I thought, "Whatever possessed me to order a tan tub." I called my original guy that sold it and I asked him if it was possible to change it to white. He thought it was not too late and that he would verify and then send me an amendment to the contract. I waited but nobody ever called me, so I was not sure if it was ever gonna be white. But when the lady called to let me know what date exactly it was being installed, I asked her, "Is it by any chance white?" She said, "Oh, yes, it's white." Other than that, everything was perfectly fine.

The sales rep from Safe Step was very professional and he knew the things I was going to ask ahead of time. So, he was prepared. The installers were fast. They came in, they saw what they needed to do, and they got it done. They showed us how the tub works and left the information. I just wish I had thought of one thing when they were here. I was thinking it would be nice to have another bar on the top. I gotta wait to call them for that because I got to have them come out and do it. So far, there were a few things I wish they had filled in on where the holes were. At the bottom where the tub fits in, there was a nice little gap. But they did what they were supposed to do. Also, it's too expensive but other than that, it's nice. I like the heated seat while you're waiting for the tub to fill up. It'd be nice if it could fill them faster. I sit there for a good 10 minutes at least.

The sales reps were great and everything went well during the installation. The installers did a lot the first day but they had to come back and finish up on the second day. We like everything about the tub and the only issue we have is it’s a little hard to close the door when we get in. There isn't much space or room and we have to turn to the side to get the door past us to shut it.

I have a Safe Step walk-in tub, which I got a few years ago for my wife who became disabled and is in a wheelchair. That was difficult for her to get through that door without assistance. We have a shower that has the regular glass door and I couldn’t help her really get into that. So, I got the Safe Step walk-in shower so that I can put her wheelchair right up to where she needed to be, and she could just get up, twist 90 degrees, and sit down on her shower stool. I really love it. Unfortunately, she never got a chance to use it.

For the walk-in tub, the first time their installers came out, they didn’t know what they were doing. They were talking about digging big holes in the wall to run the power down. I called the young lady that sold me the thing and she had a local crew that was available. They came out and did one small hole in the wall just to put a receptacle in. I've recommended them to several people. In fact, I asked for that same crew when I ordered the walk-in shower. They did an absolutely tremendous job. Everything was about as clean as I get around here. They left it as good as they found it.

I called Safe Step and the reps came out and assessed what they could do. They were perfect as far as telling us what we're going to have and how they're going to do it. They came in when they said they would be here and they came in with their crew. They took out the shower which we had in there. They even had to take parts of the doorframe off but you wouldn't know it. Everything is perfect. The tub fits right exactly where the shower was. They never touched my vanity place at all and didn't have to move anything. It's exactly the way it was except it's brighter, clean and white. So, I changed the colors to light blue as far as the rug. When they were done, I couldn't be happier. I never dreamed that they would get this done in one day and they cleaned up. Everything is beautiful.

Safe Step are wonderful people to do business with and you get exactly what they say. Everything is spotless and you wouldn't even know they were here. They had a close up this window and put a wall. My husband is singing his praises all the time. He loves the place, which is a good addition to the house. My husband loves the walk-in tub. He's in it all the time. It’s got so many jets. It is a miracle how the jets hit the right spot, especially around the knees. So, he's enjoying it because he's perpetually outside. I'm handicapped and when I got hurt, he built a whole ramp for me out the back, but that meant putting a door on and railings out there, and he just never stops. I love a shower and I like to wash my hair in the shower and I'm all rinsed off. But my husband loves it because his legs are bothering him. So, this is the best thing we could have done. It's everything that people could possibly want.

The purchase of our Safe Step was great. We liked our sales representative and the installation went very smoothly too. It was a few weeks ahead of schedule. They said it could be up to eight weeks. But we got it after six. We also enjoy the tub. It's my mother-in-law who mostly uses it and she really enjoys using it. It's helped her a lot. It's also helped take some of the stress off my wife of having to help bathe her.

We had to have one of the technicians come back out because one of the heater elements in the back came unplugged. But they came right out within a couple of days and got that repaired. My only issue was they had set up an inspection with the county here, and we weren't informed. So, when they came, no one was home to meet them. We're having to work through them again to get that rescheduled. But the installation was very professional. They were great. They got it done in one day. We were very happy.

We're having trouble with the drain. When you try to drain, it will stop up the tub. But when you try to drain it out, it doesn’t drain out. I called the name on the Safe Step brochure and she told me to pull the drain out and tighten up the screw a bit. I did and it worked a little bit. But then the maid came and she was cleaning the tub that we told her not to bother with, because we think it’s touchy. But she may have stepped on the drain and something happened there. It happened again when my husband got it in last night. He had trouble getting out of it.

I don’t like the tub that much. Once I get in it, it’s fine. It’s just getting in and out. It’s made for a thin person. My legs are just barely on the too fat side to squeeze in that door and close that door. But my husband seems to like it. He feels safer getting in and out of it. It’s easier for him because it’s so short and he’s a small man. However, every advertisement on the television says you get a free showerhead and $1,500 off. But we didn’t get $1,500 off. We paid $20,000 for that tub. But the men that put it in were very professional and fast. They didn’t take up our whole day. It was a nice-looking installation job.

I'm not very happy with Safe Step at all. We had it installed on April 1st, and up until a couple of weeks ago, I was only able to use the tub once. The pipe that was bringing the water in flooded the whole floor. It was not installed correctly. They finally got somebody out there and they fixed that part of it. But then because of being flooded and the water dripped for so long, the mechanism got all shorted out and that didn't work so we didn't have any heat in it and jets and nothing worked in it.

Somebody came in now and they fixed that. They put a whole brand new mechanism and then after that, you’re supposed to have this pump button that you push for a quick drain and that was broken. They said they fixed it, but they said, “Empty half the tub before you can use it.” What good is that? I sit there for about half an hour for it to drain before I can use the fast thing. I would never recommend it. We have well water here so it takes 35 minutes for the tub to fill up to be able to use the jets because it has to go up to a certain level to use the jets. It also takes too long to drain. You also have to have at least between a 40 and a 50-gallon hot water heater. They responded fairly quickly within an appropriate amount of time. But it's still not worth the $18,000 that we have to pay for it. The only good thing that I really enjoyed about the whole process was the salesperson, Blair. He was really nice.

The gentleman who showed up is one hell of a salesman and he sold us. $18,000 isn’t pocket money. The install was good, and I haven’t had to call them back. The only thing I had a problem with is in the instructions, it says underneath the door is the white plastic plug. I take that out, make sure it’s clean, and put it back. However, there’s no way possible of putting that back. It doesn't go back once it’s out, so every time I go in, I have to be sure it’s sitting in there when I close the door or it will leak. My wife tried to help me put it back in and make sure it was stable, but it was loose. Other than that, we’re very happy with the tub. All I do when I get in it is I play with the buttons. If people really want a walk-in tub and can afford it, I would recommended they get a Safe Step.

Safe Step was amazing from the very get-go. The installers left everything so clean when they left, and they went through what I was supposed to do and gave me all the instructions. The sales rep came to the house and showed me everything about the Safe Step bathtub and shower unit. A lot of it was photos on the computer. He was here for a couple of hours and we went over everything. The tub was installed a month ago and I like all of its features. I slid in my bathroom floor twice before I got used to it though. Usually, I run a tub of water and I get in, but I don’t do that with the Safe Step. Now, I have to get in, then run the water.

The installers were upbeat and amazing. They were a great bunch of kids. They did a great job and beautiful work. It was a joy having them over. I love the tub. In short, the most egregious issues with Safe Step Tubs of Minnesota, Inc. is that they came to splice wires from their newly installed heated jet tub to a bathroom outlet. One GFI services two bathrooms. They did not pull permits. They did not have their work inspected by the city. The general contractor's license was expired when work was performed.

The tub needs to be on a dedicated circuit. It is what I demanded, it was what was promised and stated as standard practice for them, and it is required by building code. The company will not return calls. The tub sits, not connected to power. Full payment has been demanded twice each time stating that the job is complete. It is not.

The installers seemed to know what they were doing. But for our first experience with the tub, we had a flood already. So it wasn't too good. It's a lot to comprehend right away. You're gonna have to do it slowly. The door on the tub has that handle and it needs two clicks. It has one click, then you got to pull it a little harder. You have to force it. I wasn't aware of that and that was where we had the flood. The water came through the door.

We thought the Safe Step salesman was great when he came out to sell us the tub, but he was much less than great when I called him when they were installing it. They were having problems. The installers first installed it in the wrong place. When I went in to look at what they had done, I asked why was it so far away from the wall. It was not where it was supposed to be. It was supposed to be where the old tub was. They said my water lines come up above the floor, and the tub wouldn't sit on top of those water lines. I told them they've got to do something else because I didn't want the tub all the way out, that far away from the wall.

The installer called his supervisor and they were on the phone. Meanwhile, I called the salesman ad he was a totally different person. All of a sudden, our house was constructed poorly, and that was not his problem if we have lousy construction. He was gonna call the supervisor of the installers and see if they could come out and reconstruct our bathroom. He said, “We're not in the business of remodeling or reconstructing. We just install tubs.”

I told him I didn't want a remodel or reconstruction of my home. He sold me a tub that was supposed to fit in the space where the old bathtub was. It was not fitting in the space so I told him he could come and take the tub back. He said they couldn't do that. I told him they could pay for whatever it would cost to fix the installation so that it could be installed where he told me it was going to be installed. He kept repeating the same thing over and over again so we stopped dealing with him.

We dealt with the installers after that. I told the installer I didn't understand why they couldn't put the tub where it belonged. He said a metal bracket right there was stopping him from doing that. I told him to move the metal bracket. He said he'd have to get approval from his boss to do that which was what he ended up doing. This was after about two hours of my mother going berserk because she just spent $20,000 for a stupid tub.

It's way too much money to pay for the product now that I've seen it. I would not recommend to any elderly person to spend that much on this product. It's highly overrated. I was thinking it was gonna feel like being in a Jacuzzi but the jets are not very strong. Also, the tub will not fill up with hot water. We have a 50-gallon hot water tank. The salesman told us it would be plenty but the hot water completely runs out before the tub is filled. We even went and turned the water heater up as high as it will go and t it's still not hot water. It's just kind of warm.

When I used the bath once, it leaked. I called the number that I'm supposed to call for service and they sent someone out. He was a very nice gentleman. He came out and refilled the tub. One of the jets had come off on the bottom. He replaced the jet. But we couldn't duplicate the leak. He filled it up twice and drained it twice, and we could not find where the leak was coming from. I was asking him if it could have had something to do with the foot jet not being in place. He said he didn't think so but now the jet is in place, it's not leaking.

The Safe Step tub was installed in one day. We're kind of surprised that it takes so much water. We have a small water heater and it only fills it up just a little past my husband's ankles. You have to wait until the water heater gets hot again for another 10 minutes to fill it up. Also, we had failed the first electrical inspection because there was something left underneath the tub. Then when we went up into the attic and saw what had happened and showed it to the inspector, he failed it again. We can't even get into our attic because the wires are sitting on top of all of our stuff. That was the end of April. We only want to see the guy with the license. We don't wanna see these guys that just come in here and do whatever. Nicole who was the one that we've been talking to with the inspection said that the guy wasn't coming back from vacation until yesterday. We are waiting for it to pass inspection.

I interviewed two people, Safe Step and Kohler. Kohler was 10,000 more expensive than Safe Step. When the guy came out, he gave us a video. Safe Step is made here locally in the United States. The other big key is that as long as we own the house, it's a lifetime warranty. Safe Step is also a little smaller, which is better for our 98-year-old mother. They did a wonderful job. I was happy from the person who came to the house and sold us on the tub to the guys that installed it. The company was absolutely wonderful. Everybody was very knowledgeable and they did exactly what they said they would do.

They had the tub installed within the day and it works great. We didn't have to do anything on the walls because the tile was still good. Since they took this oversized tub out of there and put this Safe Step one in there, we're able to have more shelf room in there. We flipped the door around when it was on the other side. The installers worked with me wherever we wanted to put it and it was perfect. It went well.

My mother loves the tub. She is not scared to get in it but she's scared that she'll mess up shutting the door and she has arthritis. I help her in and out of it. I'm very happy that we went ahead and did that because she was only sponge bathing once a month. Now I get by there to give her a bath once a week. I wish she would get used to it to take a bath more often.

Safe Step contacted me after the tub was installed to make sure everything was okay. We did have one tiny glitch, and they took care of that right away. I had done some research and determined that Safe Step would be the best purchase, the safest, and the best one for our needs. My experience was far better than I had expected. The installers were a little bit earlier than I had thought they would be. They were going to sit outside and wait. So, I hurried so that they could come in. My husband's disabled, and I wanted to get him out of the bathroom before they could come in and install the tub. They were apologetic, kind, caring, and helpful. The installation took so much shorter a time than I had anticipated. Now that the tub is finished, my husband is so secure. He can hold on to the high walls. He can go right in and sit down. There are lots of grab bars. The tub makes all the difference in the world in our lives.

There was no pressure, but great explanations and information sharing about the Safe Step tub. I was excited about it when I saw it, but especially for my husband who is disabled. They sold me and my husband, and he's hard to sell. My husband's afraid of falling and has difficulty getting in the shower, and this was an alternative for him that he could enjoy. It has so much to offer, and I’m really happy with it. I like the way the colors come on the water. The lights, the voice, and the sound, I just like it. It's a great and relaxing experience.

Safe Step gave us exercises to try, and my husband is trying some of them. He puts on his swimsuit, and my daughter helps him into the tub. We have a pool at our home that he won't get in now because he’s afraid. He can swim, but not now. He gets in the Safe Step tub every other night, and the water is really helping him, especially since he has developed an autoimmune skin disease called bullous pemphigoid, which puts blisters on his extremities. He experiences lots of itching too. Now, the blisters are starting to dry up. The water is so relaxing to him, beating up against his legs and arms. He just loves it.

The reps told me our door had to be pushed in and it was doing fine, and then it got too tight. It was also making a loud squeaking sound like it was gonna break, and it would have had I not called then. Safe Step sent someone right out, and the guy fixed it. Not only does the door open inward, it can open outward too. He did a great job with it.

The installers took the old tub out and put the new one in. The tub was a little bit high-priced. But I like the jets and the bubble bath. The thing I don’t like is it's too small. They gave me the dimensions but I didn't realize till I went to get in there and used it how small it was. Also, dirt clings to the tub, even after I wipe it down after I get out of the bath or the shower.

Purchasing the Safe Step was easy. At first, when I signed the contract, I didn't hear from them for a couple of weeks which got me worried that I had contacted the wrong company. But once they called and got things rolling, it went smoothly. The installer was good about what he was doing. He had to remove a doorway in order to get the tub in there. I was happy with how things went. I was totally satisfied.
