McCarthy Services called me about a $19 sale offer to check out my heating system. I had had some challenges with my system, and I thought it couldn't hurt to have somebody come out and check it out, so I had them come out. The tech, Wayne, was very efficient. He was very friendly and thorough. The conditions were much worse than I had expected they were going to be, and I had to replace my entire HVAC and heating system. Wayne had pictures of everything, walked me through things, what I should expect, and if I had somebody come out, like a sales guy, what to expect through that.

We had a power surge, and then we had one of those ECO-V systems installed in the home. Right after that, with that heat pump, it kept going in and out. We had our contract; they came and serviced it a couple of times. So, instead of them going through doing the assessment the way that the salesman did, they just gave us a quote.

I reached out to McCarthy because they would be able to come the same day and they were responsive. My old unit was serviced by somebody else, and when I needed a new one, I went through them. They also had an arrangement with Home Depot so I could get it financed using my Home Depot card. All their visits and the technicians have always been good. The first thing that McCarthy did was probably a cleaning, and the second one was the installation of the HVAC unit. The last time I called them, my cat was stuck in the vent. A vent opened while we were cleaning something, and the cat slipped in. We heard something in the ventilation system, and then there was no cat. The floor vent was way too small for that cat to have fit through, but she did.

On the 4th of July, I had 20 people in my house and the AC went out. I reached out to McCarthy and setting up the service call was super easy. There were just a couple of questions and then they sent a confirmation email saying the tech would be there within a certain time frame. The tech who came out was super friendly. The guy explained what the part did for the system and that it was not routine, but it was very common for it to go out sometimes when it was overworked. He gave some recommendations as well for future things that we may wanna take care of to make sure the system keeps working well.

I had a Freon leak and I decided to use McCarthy Services because of the number of stars they were recommended with on Angie's List. My experience in dealing with the reps was positive. They were curious about what the problem was and helped me understand how to solve it. The first technician stood out to me. He was knowledgeable, looked at the system, explained the problem, and gave me obvious solutions I could take to fix it. But I decided not to go through all the work it would take to repair the old unit and I got a new one instead. Everything seems to be going well, and everything is fine. Overall, I had good, fast service and would recommend McCarthy Services.

I've been working with McCarthy for several years at this point on HVAC and all the AC, heating, and all the type of appliances in the house. I have no complaints with their technicians. They've been great. Scheduling a service visit is easy. They usually have somebody available very quickly. They do a really good job. They have reasonable prices. That's why I've been using them for the last 10 years.

I had a problem with my AC for leaking the Freon, and it was using a lot of electricity. So, my electricity bill was very high. I contacted McCarthy and their salesperson was very helpful and professional. He gave us a very good price, and we installed the unit in one day. I changed the whole unit. I will use McCarthy again.

McCarthy did an air conditioning unit for me. Mine went out. I had to have it replaced. The guys did a great job and they were extremely professional.

My old HVAC was 17 years old, and I had McCarthy do a routine fall checkup and decided to replace it. Their technicians were all good. They did a good job. Overall, the price was fairly good, and the service has always been good. I would recommend people I know to use McCarthy. I'll continue to use them in the future for this house and my rent houses.

I've been with McCarthy for over 20 years. They're good. They came out here less than three months ago. I wanted a Carrier. They came back less than three months, and they’ve gone up so much and wanna sell me this Rheem. So, I got the Rheem air conditioning unit. I'm gonna see how it works. I like it cold, and it's not giving me all the cold air that I like. In order to get it cold, I shouldn't have to turn it down that low. I have to turn it down by 64. I would like to be able to have it on 70 and still get cold air, and I'm getting it.

McCarthy was the system that I see driving around. My HVAC is supposed to have a second floating device, which did not, so the water level got too high, and it shuts off when it does to safeguard it. So, their tech came and put another one wherever it's supposed to be. He was nice, polite, and professional. He explained the problem and what he did to resolve it, and gave me a brochure about another thing that I can put to help the system. Now, I haven't been having any issues. Not having AC is not fun, and I have Siberian Huskies. So, my concern is always that they stay cool enough. I don't recommend McCarthy's cost, but I recommend the service.

The condenser unit was no longer working, so I didn't have AC in the condo. I reached out to McCarthy Services right away. As soon as I was notified by my tenant, I contacted them. I wasn't there when their tech came out. I was only told that the potential repair was going to cost around $3,800, and we could be looking into replacing the whole system, which McCarthy installed like eight years ago as a new system. I did not have the issue resolved because it's a pretty expensive repair. So, I'm looking to do this a little bit differently. The estimate received from McCarthy was very high. They are prompt. They are responding fast. So, that's one benefit, but when it comes to prices, they're fairly high. So, my experience is a mixed bag.

The AC went out. It was like that for about a week. I called McCarthy and they were able to install a new AC unit the day after. The service visit was seamless and straightforward. Everything got taken care of in about a day. Overall, the biggest benefit for me is they got the job done in less time. My AC is not working, so I contacted McCarthy Services. The service visit went well. I called them. They responded immediately, came immediately, and they fixed the problem immediately. They changed the whole AC unit. The tech was professional. When I asked a question, he answered. I really like McCarthy's services. Even when my water heater had an issue, I called them, too. They came and fixed the water heater.

I recently had an air conditioning problem. I talked to someone at McCarthy Services to submit a repair ticket and it was easy. They put in a new piece and the unit has been performing very well. McCarthy Services gets the job done. Go ahead and do it.

McCarthy responds fast even if it was in a weekend. There was someone on a call, and they were able to assist me. When a fuse was out, they came the next day and fixed the issue the same day. They replaced the fuse. The service visit was good. The guy did his job. It was just too expensive. It wasn't covered under my warranty. Overall, my experience was good. Everybody did their job well.

There’s a problem about the AC McCarthy Services installed here. Everything works fine, but the problem is the fan. I have another AC in the house. McCarthy only changed the upper one. The fan constantly runs for 48 hours. It’s supposed to run and stop, but it keeps running. I spend electricity. The last time they were here, they were polite, professional and punctual. They explained everything to me. They cleaned up after they finished what they were doing. But I need to call to let them know about this issue.

I reached out to McCarthy Services the second day after the hot water heater went out. The technician was very professional and on time. He did an outstanding job on the installation. He did a big job. He replaced the water heater by himself. I will recommend McCarthy to other people, if they ask.

The service with McCarthy was great. This is probably my third experience with them and each technician in their field did a wonderful job. I would recommend McCarthy Services to my neighbors.

The AC was not working and the techs came on time. It was good dealing with them. They diagnosed and made a recommendation for a full HVAC replacement, which I wasn't expecting, but I had to do. The new AC was installed and there were a couple of follow-ups. I called McCarthy to come to check and they came and resolved my queries. So, all went fine. I had a good experience and I will recommend them.

McCarthy Services installed the system initially, which was why I decided to use them. And they have done a decent job when I've had them out to do work. But it's difficult at this point to get that to happen, which hasn't been my experience with them every time I've worked with them. But that's certainly been the case most recently. I had somebody out to take a look at the HVAC and was not given a quote about how it was going to get fixed. I waited a while to hear back and I finally did. I was told that I was given a quote that seemed incredibly high as far as price, and then I had to reach out again to try and get ahold of somebody who I could talk to about that, which finally got squared away. I haven't heard back from McCarthy in about a week and a half and now I've been waiting for them to call because they need a part to do the repair. It’s been frustrating.

McCarthy Services came out and said that they were going to fix the problem. There was something about the HVAC pump. It was flooded. They thought it was the filter being blocked, so they removed the filter. The problem was not resolved, so I was a little mad about that but they came two days later. They fixed it and didn't charge us additionally so that made me happy. They were apologetic.

I hoped for a replacement of my HVAC system. My dealing with McCarthy Services was perfectly fine. The only problem is I didn't use them. Someone gave me a better price. It was just a matter of expense. That's the only reason I didn't go with McCarthy.

I picked McCarthy Services out of the Google lineup and called them, and they did the job, and they did good work. They got it done very quickly, within a day.

McCarthy Services has been doing fine. I had a clogged condensation drip from the HVAC. It's that little tube that needed to be cleaned. The technician he was good. He knew exactly what the issue was, gave me the exact resolution to prevent it for the future, and didn't try to upsell me on stupidity.

McCarthy had a kiosk at Home Depot and a special offer of 0% interest for an HVAC replacement. So, I signed up with them. They did a total replacement for me but they messed up the loan. So I ended up getting 3.99% interest rate and had to spend a few months getting that sorted. But they eventually got it sorted with my staying on them. Also, they were kind and quick. I referred my grandmother to them because her unit stopped working. She had hers replaced and they were very kind to her too. But they overcharged her and I'm still waiting for a call from them regarding her credit. So while they do good work, their office leaves a bit to be desired as there are still issues pending and I can't get them resolved. And it's been a month now.

The problem was that I had a diagnosis that was misdiagnosed by McCarthy Services, and I had to call another company to get it properly diagnosed and resolved. They said that the transformer was bad, when really, it was a small short in some wiring that had to be replaced. The transformer was fine. Their service was good, though.

After the compressor was installed, there was no air coming through it. I called McCarthy Services and told them about the problem, and the guy who put it in came back the next day and fixed it. They were able to take care of it right away when he came. He was a very nice guy and told me some things about my air conditioner that I may need to have done in the future, so I was thankful for that.

I've had nothing but good experiences with McCarthy Services. I've had them come out a couple of times to do some service and recently, I used them for the air conditioning system which they replaced for me. Communicating with them was easy and I liked their professionalism. They get 5 stars from me.

I just bought a house and the air conditioning was not working. I got a full replacement and a water heater through McCarthy Services. I saw their ad on social media. I first signed up just for service and their guy came out and said that it wasn't any good so it looked like I needed a new system. The technician showed us a picture that said, "What have you all been doing to this system?" Even though when they replaced it the next day, I asked to see the old system and it did not match the picture that he showed me. I told him, "You've already diagnosed it. You've only looked at it five minutes." He said, "Just 30 years of experience."

I've been with McCarthy for a long time. They've always been fair and knowledgeable and that's what I look for. They do good quality work and they're always engaging. In most cases, the services were done and they were perfect. In one case, with the garbage disposal, I had to have them come back twice, but it was not because of defective work. It was because of a washer that was laden and it took a while to figure it out, but they did. McCarthy Services has been competent and helpful. They're convenient, available and they get the job right the first time.

I needed a toilet replaced. It was an optional repair. I just wanted a new toilet. I reached out to McCarthy Services, and the service visit was fine. It met expectations. They showed up on time, which is great.

So far, all my experiences have been good with McCarthy Services. The most recent one was just preparing for the summer. We did the tune-up of the HVAC system before going to the summer months and running the air conditioning. The representative I worked with was kind and professional. The service visit went well. It was quick. They ran through the inspections. They gave some recommendations on what we could do to improve the unit, and then they walked me through on how to do owner care and some preventive maintenance on it as well.

I got McCarthy Services at the end of May. I needed mini-splitters put in my apartments. I had mini-splitters put in two different apartments. Everything that they did was well. They were easy to work with and easy to communicate with.

I used McCarthy Services for the first time in the summer of 2016. My air conditioning unit in Washington, D.C. had gone kaput and I asked some people in my rotary club, "Who do you guys recommend for air conditioning?" One of my colleagues could not stop saying great things about McCarthy. So we used them for our brand-new air conditioning unit in D.C. in 2016, but then when I wanted to get the annual maintenance package, by the time I was ready to sign up for that, they weren't servicing D.C. anymore because D.C. is like that. Now, I live in Virginia. When we needed an air conditioning inspection, I said, "Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited. We get to use McCarthy again." We have the annual inspection now.

My furnace had been on the decline for a couple of years, and the AC unit was having blower issues. They were purchased at different times, and it was best to replace both of them instead of doing it piecemeal again. I decided to do it since I was going to use my tax refund to purchase it. The in-person visit from McCarthy Services was exceptional. The representative was very clear in explaining their services. He showed me the various options to choose from, and I wasn't pressured at all to make a decision that day. They emailed me the estimate, and I contacted two other companies to compare.

The air conditioning wasn't working on one of my rental units. The young man came out quickly and he was very friendly. But he gave me bad news that there wasn't anything he could do and that I needed to replace the system. I asked for a quote, which he could not do. I paid the service fee because he had gone out there quickly. One of the salesmen went out later to get me a quote, but they didn't send it to me right away. I had to keep calling them over and over before I got it. Also, the office couldn't send it to me, for some reason. It had to be sent directly from the salesman. Finally got it, but it was more than double what another contractor had quoted. So, I went with the other contractor. But I didn't have any problems with McCarthy in terms getting someone out there right away. That was great. It's just unfortunate. If it had been something he could repair, I'm sure the tech would have done it, but it just wasn't. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I called McCarthy Services because they originally put in the HVAC systems that I had at my house. I had a lightning strike that caused some damage in the house, and the HVAC stopped working. I wanted them to come out and tell me if they could fix the problem. Their tech was on time and professional in his appearance. However, he misdiagnosed the system and said I needed thousands of dollars of parts when it was only a couple-hundred-dollar part. Also, the part that he recommended replacing was wrong. He ended up recommending that the whole system be replaced.

I contacted McCarthy Services when my AC stopped. It was quick and easy. However, McCarthry said the unit can't be fixed. It's always about, "You need a new machine. Can we send someone to give you a price on a new machine?" It would be nice to try to give me better options on fixing it rather than going right into replacement. Other than that, I appreciate a dedicated sales rep that I've been working with. Whenever I have issues, I just talk with him about it.

I had my water heater and three AC units replaced. I had a problem two months ago with my AC. Some guy came and said, "This is what's wrong." The equipment is still under warranty. He said it was the controller that was bad. I'm an engineer. I doubt that was the problem. They said it was $1,700 to replace it so I called somebody else. I asked, "Can you take a look at it?" I didn't tell them what was wrong and they said it's a blower. They came the next day and replaced the blower. Everything is okay. It was much cheaper compared to what McCarthy Services was. They have these vans that look the same. Their branding is good but they're expensive. Also, they said they will call me tomorrow but never did.
