I would give NEGATIVE review if I could on this portal. I raised a request related to plumbing job at my property. There was a toilet flush tank leak and Bath Tub faucet leak. They sent a plumber to fix it. Plumber was not able to fix it properly. I asked a recall, plumber came back but still not able to fix problem. Choice Home Warranty closed the ticket on their own. I called them back to open it again since problem exist. This happened in iteration for complete month. Tried to call plumber contractor multiple times who was not picking call. I raised same concern to choice home warranty and asked them to assign another contractor to fix this problem, but they did not assigned new contractor and they closed the ticket on their own without fixing the problem.
This was really frustrating for me as I was waiting on them for 1 month. I called them to resolve the problem or refund my per visit charge and refund my 3 year choice home warranty subscription charge. They refused to refund me back. Same time I got water heater broken . Based on experience from choice home warranty I called a certified plumber and got water heater replaced, toilet flush tank fixed and Bathtub faucet leak fixed on same day in 3 hours. It is no use to buy home warranty if they cannot deliver.
Ethan was professional and helpful. He is an asset to your company. He was polite and personable. I am Not sure I understand my statement below about this extra service fee. I don’t understand the $75 charge for setting up my contract that the company charges.
the technician was professional and prompt. He determined, after a thorough examination of the machine that my problem of water leakage was a plumbing problem. The machine was in good working order. The water was backing up from the drain.
Technician was good with his communication on when he’d arrive, and arrived when he said he would. He also was polite and quick with the repair, did not try and over sell. He was respectful and professional and the AC unit is now coming the house again.
My washer flooded the laundry room, wall to wall carpeting in the hall, and the bathroom. I called Choice for help and their response was "we do not respond to emergencies". This was clearly an appliance failure and I thought it should be covered under the warranty. I ended up calling COIT for help with the flooding. I have to pay the bill that I thought should be covered by Choice. I am going to look for another company. I am very dissatisfied.
Mitchell ** of Airstrike HVAC came to diagnose our AC problems. He was very polite and extremely knowledgeable. I diagnosed the problem, bad capacitor, and repaired the unit in about 15 minutes. Would recommend him to anyone. Our AC is now colder than it was last year.
Services received over the contract and renewal of the contract have been excellent. Once calling a claim, response was professional, and very efficient. I have been very satisfied with this service which is the main reason I have renewed my contract with Choice Home Warranty.
I called on Thursday, May 25 to submit a claim. I have not heard from anyone. Water was running in condo and in the hallway as well. Since no one contacted me I made a call to get the situation taken care of. The situation could have been awful if I had not called to fix this. If Choice can not service customers in the Maryland area, they should not be selling plans. This is totally unacceptable.
Was very thorough and explained what he did and what the cause of the issue was. Called in advance to let me know me he was on his way. He went right to work on the issue and finished very quickly. He cleaned up the area around the dryer.
At first, I was upset because I couldn’t get ahold of Choice Warranty then I found the correct number to use. They were very nice and prompt. I’m pleased with the service and response. Thank you and I would recommend Choice.
I stopped getting hot water. It took them 2 days to schedule tech who never showed cause they said they didn't get work order? Then it took 6 days before the 2nd tech came and stated I needed new one! It took Choice another 3 days to approve it and that was a Friday w/ holiday attached on Monday...which meant no hot water till Tuesday making it 2 weeks and 1 day to from reporting claim to replacement, and Tuesday not here yet so hopefully it's Tuesday and I had no choice but to approve 300.00 of non approved stuff that they don't clarify in email that I still have to pay in order to get it... So after 2 weeks and 300 or more, I guess I'll have hot water again!
My representative had great customer service skills, and very informative. A pleasure to talk to. I was switching from another home warranty provider and Safeco had coverage that beat out the other competitors by having a outside and inside coverage.
I recently switched from American Home Shield to Choice Warranty and so far I’m very happy. My most recent service was for my washer. Choice Warranty has partnered with Lowe’s and they are sending me a gift card. I have not yet received it so I hope I do soon but as long as I do I'm a happy customer!
On Sunday night 5/21/23 I filled out a service request form with CHW for a backed up toilet. Before the evening ended, CHW had arranged a plumber to come to my home on 5/22/23. The plumber arrived and completed his work by 10:00 am on Monday 5/22/23. This was an extreme example of customer service at its best. Admittedly, the job was just a clogged toilet and was repaired within 10 minutes. However, the fact that Waterway Plumbing arrived so timely and CHW had set up this fix so quickly was an example of the finest customer service I have experienced in a while. Kudos to CHW and Waterway Plumbing for an excellent job completed timely and with an unprecedented level of professionalism.
The technician gave great service and advice. He was a knowledgeable, honest, professional, courteous, understanding, and Godly man. Though the initial service scheduling appointment was canceled, the technical call ahead of time to inform me that he would arrive by 09:00 the next morning, and he arrived on time as promised. I Would definitely recommend this technician to friends and family.
The technician was very friendly and professional. He was able to verify the problem and complete the repair in a short amount of time. We would be happy to have this company come back if we were to have any problems.
Technician arrived as stated on time. Very clean, courteous and knowledgeable. Found the problem in the overflow hose and corrected it. The process for submitting a claim was very fast. Not complicated and the response from CHW to confirm a vendor was excellent. Unlike my previous experience with Fidelity Home Warranty which was a disaster and two years later I still have not heard from them after hours and hours trying to reach them even sent them a fax asking for help and no reply..
Choice was great they had someone out immediately last time I had an issue with my a/c. There was a problem though. It wasn’t Choices fault but the problem was with the man they sent. He said it was just a fuse that had blown so he replaced that. Then he asked me if I wanted a yearly service contact so I paid him the $75 for the Choice visit and $129 for the service contract. Not sure I should have done that. I tried to call him yesterday before I called Choice and he won’t answer his phone now. Just letting you know. Thank you, Bette
This Technician changed my appt to come out earlier to fix my AC Unit. I called the issue in, and the Customer Service Agent didn’t find it important to make my appt earlier. I had no air blowing out of my unit. They set it a week out, I called the Tech and let him know my house was hot 80-90 degrees, same as I told Customer Service, the Tech thought, I had set the first appt. I was suffering every night. Customer Service showed no concern. When people don’t have air for hot days or heat for cold days, that should be a PRIORITY.
Leon was very knowledgeable. He figured out the problem very quickly. He was on the phone with the warranty company within 15 minutes of getting to my house. The part has been ordered and will be replaced within the week.
Service technician didn’t show up on Tuesday, called service tech and had to reschedule, took an additional two days to finally inspect and verify that my tank had failed. To my astonishment the company denied my claim! I am investigating the reason, still no hot water so I am getting a new hot water heater and paying for it myself.
Very pleased with the work of the contractor. He did a good job. The contractor was on time. He did a good job. He was clean, he didn't leave a mess, he was friendly, he was quick. He was also very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what to do with with the machine.
The customer service staff are very rude. I asked to speak to a supervisor three times and they all denied me. Three different people said, "Sorry we can’t get you to a supervisor because your information is the same." I will never sign with you again. Your advertisement is false. You do whatever it takes to prevent paying for a claim.
We chose Choice Home Warranty to protect our appliances in our home based on a recommendation that a friend gave us. We are very glad that we did. They were prompt to respond to our claim. Agent was knowledgeable of the work that was needed to resolve the situation. I feel that the recommended company will do a good job.
9 days and still waiting, all this time CHW has been stalling and clearly delaying decision to make the repair, every day the status is waiting for the technician to provide information and technician has done several times, then CHW says that will review the information, and the goes back to pending information from technician even when it was already submitted, so I am still waiting for my repair… terrible experiend and no, I will not recommend CHW to anyone.
My washer and dryer broke Sears was sent and I am very satisfied with their work. I also had my light fixture repaired and am waiting for a part so it can be fixed, I have had Choice for many years and happy with it.
I had one plumber request queried by choice and the manager explained why it was not covered but then proceeded in cancelling that one plus 2 other valid ones! Thanks to the new agent, I could request these 2 again. But This delayed the repairs for 3 weeks! Poor quality on behalf of the case manager I talked with. Very poor.
Choice Home Warranty is trying not to cover my refrigerator in my pool house. When I opened this policy they said it would be covered and when something went wrong they are saying it is not covered. They didn't mind taking my money for an additional coverage of two refrigerators but when one of them stopped working they do not want to cover it.
