I purchased all my kitchen appliances for our new house from Asko including a Pyro OP8678G oven, which in 2.5 years has had to be repaired 3 times. Asko has been extremely unhelpful in assisting me. Their service is very poor. Long waits on hold for customer service and never replies to emails. I am very disappointed as Asko used to have a good reputation and quality products but it seems now that their quality and customer service has gone out the window.

We are awaiting our third replacement pedestal drawer because the first two were faulty. Customer service is non-existent. Highly recommend NEVER buying from this company.

Was convinced to purchase Asko based on the sales pitch on their quality and ther warranty. I purchased their washing machine and dryer through Harvey Norman and arranged delivery time to coincide with HN and others. After it didn't arrive I called and waited an hour. Finally, I left my phone number and they called back. They informed they had it for delivery 2 days later. Umm no. When it arrived there was only the washing machine and not the dryer. Again another hour on the phone and I gave up. Long story short took me 2 days to get through to their support office. Absolutely appalling customer service. I am dreading if there is an issue based on what's happened.

I purchased an ASKO washer/dryer in November 2019. Today 05/13/2020 I'm having problems with it. The gasket came off. The technician was here, worked on it. He put the gasket on but it looks terrible, like a 2 yr. old put it on. He messed up the door where it's now hard to close and scratched it. It's now making weird noises. Worse. $2,000 machine.

I purchased an Asko oven/cooktop/range hood, costing approx $7000. We have had issues with the oven since we first purchased it. We have had parts replaced and nothing has resolved the issue with the griller causing an error code 7. We were informed by the Asko service dep that it was due to humidity and we would have to reset the oven by the power box every time the error code came on. We live in a humid city. We emailed three different departments at Asko over a month ago to express our disappointment and was seeking an exchange or refund. We have received not one response. Our next step is local rep and Consumer Affairs.

I bought an ASKO dishwasher in 2017 because I was told it would last a long time. Not the case at all. December 2019 I noticed that the dishes weren’t clean on the top rack. I tried cleaning different detergents which did nothing. After running numerous cycles I noticed that the bottom spray arm was the only one spinning during the cycle, this was in January 2020. A technician came by to diagnose the issue February 03. He said it would be a week to get the parts. The part arrived a few months later and he came by again on April 17 and told me he needed more parts and it would be about a week to get in. It’s now May 12 and nothing yet. I bought a dishwasher to wash dishes, it’s been doing absolutely nothing but wasting my time. I will just toss the dishwasher and buy another brand. Sick and tired of waiting. Do not buy.

I helped my elderly parents purchase a Asko Oven last year.. It started playing up within the first few months. Three occasions it self locked and we had to have a technician come out under warranty to unlock it. The technician disconnected the oven saying it was faulty. That was 7 weeks ago and we are still waiting for them to replace the oven! Yes seven weeks and still waiting. My parents live on a rural property so haven’t easy access to takeaway shops etc. Each time we contact them they promise to ring back with a solution but fail to even return calls. Their Moorabbin warranty centre don’t seem to care how long it takes. A lady even joked with me she wouldn’t be going to have dinner at my parents with no oven.

My 80 year old parents who are still independent are still without a oven. The oven wasn’t even 2 months old when it first had problems. I would not ever buy a asko product out of Victoria. If it breaks down the Moorabbin warranty centre won’t do anything anytime soon. But they will give you lots of excuses as to why they haven’t. They are incompetent! Simple fact. As I write this review my parents are still waiting to get their new oven and still waiting the return phone call asko continues to promise. I will never buy a asko product again. Save your money and buy products half the price with far better customer service and reliability. If I could give it a -5 I would.

A local Asko Invoice ** and **. I believe that this is a dangerous situation and would be common to all their machines, so be careful. I mentioned that this is an issue to the service man who in turn replied with "Well it is getting old. They are no good after 10 years." Bought an Asko dishwasher 7 years ago. Began to rust at the front within a few months. Front replaced (Supposed to be stainless steel for goodness sake). Some time later the surrounds around the dials showed rust. Sent photos to Asko who said it was from using harsh abrasives, which was rubbish. This month, after very little use over the 7 years (in fact, wasn't used much at all) it began leaking from the front bottom corner. Repairman said the seam was split and was unrepairable. Very disappointed to say the least. First and last Asko product I will EVER buy.

We renovated our house and put in two brand new Asko dishwashers. The day we moved in, the appliances both broke down. Asko replaced them within a couple of days. 1.4 years later, the replacements have each broken down multiple times and required new control panels. The parts take a long time to get so a wait of a month or more is normal. This is the worst appliance purchase we have ever made. I will never again buy an Asko product.

The silverware basket is not deep enough to hold silverware. And the start time of 2 to 4 sec is not enough. It was recommended by Sub-Zero which I am a huge fan. A KitchenAid would be better. We bought an Asko dishwasher 2 years ago and it has failed to wash dishes properly since new. We have been trying to seek a resolution for this problem for years and have been fobbed off with a list of reasons for why the problems exist. On the first callout, the technician altered the water level. They have said that Asko deliberately set water levels low so Asko can get a better water efficiency rating. We have been told that Asko is not made for Australian conditions, they have suggested that we use too little or too much powder, there may be blockages or twists in hoses. Apparently they found fault in the motherboard which was changed, now they say it is the heating module. NONE of these fixes have solved the problem and the service department are difficult to get hold of and one was actually rude. At this point, we would definitely not recommend buying an Asko dishwasher.

This is a seriously overpriced machine (Asko Dishwasher) for what it does -- and doesn't do! It's not as quiet as a Bosch, it doesn't clean as well as a Kitchen Aid. Worst of all, reliability and service are through the floor -- it malfunctions, the servicemen don't know how to fix it, even with error codes, they scratch and dent it when they attempt repairs, and replacement parts take forever. I have had to wait two weeks for an uncertain repair. You may think these are made in Sweden, but they're actually made in Slovenia, as a result of a bankruptcy (well deserved) of the original company. I HATE my ASKO, the manufacturer, and the service people! AVOID THIS BRAND!!!

We bought an ASKO W6884 ECO washing machine which worked well until just over two years old and out of warranty, it started making slits in clothing amid a loud squeaking noise. I contacted ASKO who sent a service man costing $100, he telling me that the machine needed a new drive belt which would take a few days and cost $200. When he rang to return with this part, he asked me to disconnect the machine and have it ready for him, out from the cabinetry where I'd paid ASKO to install it when we bought it. I declined, politely telling him that it was his job.

When he arrived, he requested some towels which I assumed were to absorb any leaking water, but was surprised a short time later to find the kitchen floor and adjacent cabinetry awash, with him having rolled the towels up under his knees. A short time later, I heard a loud banging coming from the kitchen, and on walking in, found him kneeling on our towels, vigorously banging a claw hammer onto a shifting spanner to undo the lock nut at the back of the drum. He told me that the lock nuts on ASKO machines were always difficult to undo, that often these were sealed in with Loctite.

I told him to stop, to use a ring spanner as he was stripping the lock nut to which he replied that he didn't have one which very much surprised me. I told him to stop work and rang ASKO's service manager, an extremely rude, arrogant woman called Varni to whom I related what had happened and that I was very unhappy. The repairman appears to have been a backyarder contracted by ASKO, he having come without towels or proper tools, leaving the place with the floor and cabinetry still awash. I shall never buy or recommend ASKO to anyone, and hope for ASKO's sake that I never change my sales' job to selling household appliances.

Expensive and until now reliable 5 year old Asko W6444 front loading washing machine (purchased Oct. 2012). In May 2017 the gap seal burst out of machine door while machine was on. Contacted Asko to request a technician to come out. I explained what had happened. Person on phone said "we know about that problem". He said there is a Youtube video that we can watch explaining how to replace the seal ourselves and that way save a technician coming out. I asked if perhaps the seal had now stretched and might come off again. He said "it is a bit of a design fault". We watched the video and couldn't do it. Rang them again. The woman said we would have to pay for a technician to come out. I said "That's unfair because I was told it was a design fault". She repeated that we would have to pay. We needed the machine fixed and so I said "Alright, we'll pay in the first instance but I will take it further".

I then contacted Consumer Affairs. They said we shouldn't have to pay if it's a design fault. After it was fixed I wrote to Asko saying I wanted a refund for the technician. I received a reply which said the problem was my fault because either I had 1. an unbalanced load (my husband and I were standing next to the machine which sounded normal when suddenly the seal burst through the door). 2. Tried to clean the cabinet or seal area and rubbed it too hard (I hadn't cleaned it recently at all). 3. There was a water leakage because I had not pushed back the detergent dispenser properly (rubbish).

She said it was "certainly not a manufacturing defect" and was "a purely cosmetic part that can come off due to just normal wear and tear". She said that we were definitely obliged to pay. She said "I am sorry I cannot assist with refunding any costs AT THIS STAGE" (my capitals). Does this imply if I continue to argue she might... Pathetic. This problem is obviously VERY common for them to go to the expense and trouble of making a Youtube video on how to fix it yourself. Rubbish response.

In March 2015 I purchased an ASKO Dishwasher D5644. Purchase Date 23-3-15. Invoice ** from Domain Warrawong Sales person Robin. My ASKO dishwasher was delivered with front door damaged. I tried to contact the delivery guy to immediately return to my home and take my damaged dishwasher but wasnt able to contact him. After endless phone calls, emails to ASKO to supply me with a whole new dishwasher as a package in good working condition and quality, Sales Co-ordinator Rachael ** notified me via email that I will be only getting a replacement door panel. That Regional Appliances will be in touch to replace the door. I wasnt granted new dishwasher which I was terribly upset about.

Since then I have had Regional Appliances attend to my faulty dishwasher on 3 separate occasions. 16th Feb - Due to the control panel not working. The technician reset my dishwasher (never opened the control Panel) then worked for a further 6 weeks. 4th April Due to Control Panel not working (never opened the control Panel). Regional Appliance technician visited my home and the panel work immediately for him.

On the 4th April was told via phone call Sharon from Regional Appliances if their technician is to come out again and the control panel is working that I would be charged for this visit. A control panel was ordered by Regional Appliances but sent back to Asko supplier 3 months later. Between 4th April and 15th November 2016 last visit from regional Appliances. I have been turning my dishwasher off at the wall for a day or days until the dishwasher (control Panel) happens to come on. As I was reluctant to call Regional Appliances, I didnt want to be charged if it works for the Technician.

The last visit from the RA Technician I explained to him that it created an unsafe environment with a huge, loud noise early in the unawaken morning with smoke and smell. He then proceeded to try and take the door off with no luck. He then proceeded to try and take the front panel off with screwdrivers and a lot of hard pulling and damage to the inside of door. I then left him to himself as my husband is a tradesman and says he hates people watching him. Within seconds he had his bag and told me it had cockroach damage.

Terrible experience with Asko D5233. So disappointed in this dishwasher. We purchased it due to salesperson recommendation and a general appreciation for Swedish-made products. Our dishwasher needed multiple repairs within the first year - the only Asko-approved repair company came out and claimed there was nothing wrong, but we could see that there was food left on plates and major spotting. Repair person blamed it on the fact that the hot water took too long to get to the washer. Ridiculous, but we ran the hot water at the sink until it was hot, then ran the dishwasher and we got the same results.

Next the repair company suggested we had to first wash the dishes by hand and then put them in the dishwasher for a full cleaning. Complaints to Asko went absolutely nowhere. Asko refused to offer any solution. We spent over $800 on multiple repair visits and essentially gave up. We no longer use the dishwasher except as an overflow dish drainer to get our dishes dry.

Just had my Asko D55254 dishwasher installed. It took a month to order it - the type where you install the wood panel over the door. My appliance store assured me it would be very quiet. Imagine my dismay when he installed it and started it up and it's almost as loud as the 12 year old dishwasher I replaced. My daughter's Kenmore makes no sound. I thought a $1300 Asko would be just as quiet. Big mistake. Now I'm told if I want to spend another $600 I can upgrade to a Miele. I will never buy an Asko again and if I know of anyone who is thinking of getting one I will invite them to my house to listen to the loud noise it makes. It's a shame stores don't have appliances hooked up so you can actually hear them before you purchase them.

I booked and called to have my dishwasher and oven fixed. The dishwasher was not draining. The serviceman found that there was a blockage in the first 15 minutes. He then spent another hour and a half on it testing it for a leak, which it did not have. He was deliberately wasting time. He then went to fix my oven and took out the fuse, demanded a plastic bag, put the fuse in the bag and snapped it in half. He then said he could not fix it today and the office would call. He added that they will tell me that they would not have parts but I was not to mention that he had said this. He said, that they would offer for me to buy a new oven.

A week later after numerous calls and an email they still will not respond. They keep saying a team leader will call back. I have requested the fuse to be returned to try and source one elsewhere, but it has not occurred. He was an aggressive man who told me it was none of my business what was wrong with the machine, and he was the expert so I did not have to worry. He also said that they do not stock spare parts for ovens anymore as there would be too many parts to stock.

They charged me $245.01 for nothing. I paid as the serviceman was so angry and I wanted him out of my house as I did not feel safe while he was there as he was complaining about his life and Asko. I would never recommend buying an Asko product again as it appears that you will not be able to have the machine fixed if it needs parts. The products are definitely not built to last.

I bought an Asko W6884 washing machine approximately 1 year, 1.5 years ago. The first one was leaking water, the door did not close properly. Asko sent the technician twice then changed it. No drama. The second started to do a squeaky noise and sounded like a spring inside just broke after a couple of months. The technician came again, few months later same story. After 4 technicians visits, Asko replaced it with a new one. No drama. The new one started to do the same squeaky noise, the technician came once, few weeks later same noise.

I have asked Asko to give me the money back as I bought their product to have a reliable machine as I did not want to deal with repairs. The washing machine does a good job is totally programmable which is the reason I bought it in first place but I think there is something wrong with the spring system. Like a design defect. I don't believe I have been sooo unlucky to get 3 defected machines. I am disappointed because I bought Asko to have a quality product, reliable and energy wise machine.

Checked wiring behind kickplate and found float switch plug burnt out (after research I believe this seems to be a common problem that will eventually take out the main board in most instances in this model).

Asko dishwasher model D3250 - I have read the poor reviews for the Asko dishwasher and I am so empathetic, but my experience is totally different. I loved the Asko washer and dryer my sister owned, so when we purchased a 2-year-old home (1999), we upgraded all of the appliances. We chose Asko for the washer, dryer and dishwasher. We did not have experienced service in the Ann Arbor MI area, so this was frustrating for the problems encountered with the washer/dryer (replaced the mother board on the dryer when it wasn't drying - only to discover the lint trap needed RINSING in water to maintain performance - not in the manual). The belt on the dryer needed replacing once - still works.

The washer quit a few years ago. The dishwasher is still working, but just had a problem with the upper rack not cleaning dishes. I checked the washer arms. They are clean as a whistle (I add a few tablespoons of vinegar to each wash to maintain, and prevent water spots on glassware). With the top arm off, we used a dental mirror to look inside the wash arm bearing onto which it snaps, and found several pieces of a plastic part that I suspect came from the water pump, and pieces were also located in the lower wash arm assembly. So, although the washer was retired at age 13, the dryer and dishwasher still work at age 15.

The asko appliances are inherited from the rich guy we bought the house from. We thought we were very lucky to get a house full of high end stuff but in all honest the performance is not anything special at all. If that were the only problem and the green story is where they hung their hat. Maybe we would be fans but the dishwasher does not do a good job of cleaning compared with other dishwashers I have had in my life that are more typical brands and the main problem is that when they are serviced the parts take forever to be received. The fix doesn't last very long and now at 8 years old the parts have been discontinued and are no longer available. The company was bought out by sub zero/wolf parent who thinks high end appliances are a good thing but not a good enough thing to keep going with parts. I will never again buy anything with the name asko, sub zero or wolf on it. Their idea of customer service is telling you politely to stick it in your ear.

Bought a gorgeous stackable titanium ASKO washer/dryer in May of 2013. By December the dryer was whistling a high pitched squeal. Turns out the belt was already a problem. We took the time to hunt down the proper warranty repair folks. They didn't have a replacement belt. They told us it would be at least three weeks for the belt to arrive. The washer is amazing and does a great job. We like the dryer as well - except for the whistle from the bad belt and the very loud performance altogether. Part of the reason we bought this model is that it is supposedly made for small spaces. But why would they design a product that floods its space with what sounds like a gigantic hair dryer? We have to leave the house to dry clothes because the dryer is SO loud. And the bad belt/whistle? Unbearable!

Like so many European products, it is made of quality materials, is deeply thought through - but fail to work reliably. So frustrating!!!!! I hate to say it, but the repair folks are eventually going to come back and replace the practically new belt that doesn't work (already) - and I don't trust that the replacement won't have the same problem! I want ASKO to do well as I like the Swedes and the design is beautiful and I love beauty - but...

I contacted Asko who insisted that it is the dishwasher detergents in the US (same as I had used for years with previous dishwashers with no problems) and that I needed to occasionally run a cycle with vinegar to clean it out - which I do but to no avail. Eventually, the machine dried up and the electronics began working again. Now in the third year, the machine has failed. The control board has failed. I phoned and wrote ASKO USA for a diagram of the machine. They did send one for the front door, but not the diagram of the location of the control board (which has failed). Their product is no longer sold in Montreal. We have no distributor and all parts have to come from afar (USA, Sweden, etc.). The machine is quiet, and when it worked, washed well, and was at a premium so that we could/would not have a noisy washing machine. There is no service for the product. There is a very polite telephone answering service, but no follow up. This company acts as if it is bankrupt. Lack of product support is why I would never recommend or buy another ASKO product.

Within days, it needed another repair. It took over 2 months as Asko had to send the part. Now, we are on #3 repair. It's been almost 3 months and I have no working unit. Today, Asko says our warranty is not valid, yet our initial call (3 or so months ago!) involved a repair person coming out, Asko telling us and the tech they were sending the parts, and an offer to basically rebuild the unit. No repairs have happened.

I am more skeptical and called again for more information and was told it will be $550 toward the purchase of another Asko washer. I was also told they do not make washer/dryer combo units. Well! What's the point? Asko made one before. We have the WCAM 1812. We purchased a supposedly top-of-the-line product that doesn't work. Why would I buy anything else from this company? Asko hasn't honored this warranty. Why would I expect them to honor any of their warranties on any of their products?

I can go online, enter our serial and model # and pull up a page that says it's a 3-year, Bumper to Bumper, No Worry Parts and Labor Warranty. Yet, I still have a useless piece of junk sitting in my home purchased from a company that continues to lie to me. Their customer service reps just seem depressed and are virtually useless. In four years, I have had 1 dryer repair and I have now just had the washer serviced and it needs a new pump again! Because I didn't register my units within 90 days, I only got 2 years of warranty, instead of 3 years. Strange that they punish you a whole year just for not sending the card in promptly!

In any case, the first pump that failed was covered for parts only. I just made it within the 2 year warranty. With this new pump, they give you 1 year warranty. Strange that the original pump came with either 2 or 3 year warranty but they can't warranty a new pump for longer than 1 year! What’s the difference? Now that pump is gone and I need a new one. I am beyond the one year of the replacement pump. Honestly, it's not good that a machine of only 4 years old has gone thru 2 pumps! There's something wrong.

Bottom line is that I called and spoke to a number of people at ASKO but they don't think out of the box and the "warranty is the warranty and you're out of the warranty" blah, blah, blah, really annoying. Because I did not register within the 90-day period, I will have to pay for a service call. The supervisor at customer service said that this is their policy and there was nothing she can do about it.

I would like to know-- why does this policy exist? The warranty should be determined by the purchase date and not on an arbitrary designation based on sending in a postcard. Secondly, many customers, including my self, are resistant to sending their information to a company when there is no apparent need for it. I perceive this 90-day registration to be an excuse to collect marketing information, and I resent that Asko is putting this "policy" above the principle of taking care of their customers.

I called Asko, and for two days, they asked for sales receipts, had the installer go out and check and make sure it was all hooked up, and verify it was not a user or install problem. It took 2-3 days to re-register the product. Then when it came time to actually do the work, they said it was not under warranty, because the original purchaser had not registered it within 90 days of purchase. I talked with a supervisor as well, and all they did was say it was policy, policy, policy, like they were robots. If this was the problem, why did they waste 2-3 days of our time, and have people go out and check things out?

Would I ever buy Asko again? Absolutely not. They treat their customers like dirt, and talked down to me, because the original purchaser did not register on time, and I should have checked this out before purchase. For as expensive as their product is, you think you would get better customer service. For them, it was all about being registered, the numbers, nothing about the human on the other end. The story does have a happy ending though. The appliance dealer took back the Asko appliances, apologized, and brought out a new pair of Electrolux, and did not charge for the delivery. Hamilton's Appliance in Gladstone Oregon rocks! They have awesome service. Asko customer service needs to have more humanity, and not waste people's time, and then in the end, deny them service. We called but the parts department was already closed - an hour earlier than its posted hours.

On Monday, no part came. We called again. They stated that the part would be with us no later than Tuesday, end of the day. Can we get a tracking number? "No," Asko responded, "We don't give out that information." Tuesday comes and goes. Wednesday, still no part came. Thursday morning, we called again. They put me on hold to contact UPS and discovered that the part went to New Mexico. At this point, my dishwasher has been broken for weeks. Their response was, "Sorry for your frustration." I state that the mistake was made on their part and that I want the part shipped overnight.

At $18 for shipping, it's ridiculous not to have the part in two days! They could have shipped it through priority mail and given better service for a fraction of the cost. Their response was, "Asko will let UPS know that that is what you'd like." I stated back, "No, I wanted Asko to direct them to ship the part overnight or ship a new part directly from the warehouse overnight. This was their mistake." At this point, I asked to speak to a supervisor, the person said, "She isn't here, but I'll take your number and she'll call you back." I received no phone call.

There is a quick fix; taking the bottom panel off and drying out the underneath parts, but the problem comes right back during the next wash. I cautioned anyone about buying an Asko dishwasher.

The technician did that and forwarded results to Asko. The parts are no longer available and Asko refuses to replace the unit. The dishwasher is included in CPSC recall number ****. Do I have any recourse?

We bought a dishwasher in 2004. It has given us numerous problems. Every time we order a new part, it takes about 2 months to get it. Right now we are waiting for a part that is on back order.

We were never even told it was on back order until we made numerous phone calls to our service provider (Jimmy's range) inquiring about the part. The machine has been broken for about a month and a half. I feel that for the amount of money we paid ($900 in 2004). Ask should have better service and repair.

We are now giving up and purchasing a new dishwasher. This problem has occured too many times. We actually had to shut off the circuit breaker to the dishwasher because of the constant grinding noise. We could not even shut off the appliance any other way.

I have an Asko washing machine purchased inMmarch 2007. In May 2010, the washer shut down in the middle of a white cycle on the highest water temperature. It lost all power and we couldn't even get the door open to get the clothes out. The machine was just two months out of warranty, so Asko covered the parts and labor with one-time "concession" for an out-of-warranty repair. Now, three months later, the washer has done the same thing. It overheated and shut down in the middle of a white cycle.

The repair technician diagnosed the problem as a faulty heating element this time. He indicated that he thought that the heating element was probably the problem in May but hadn't been diagnosed correctly. I have been on the phone with Asko every morning for the past week, trying to get them to, at a minimum, cover the cost of the heating element as an additional part in their one-time, out-of-warranty "concession" since I have an appliance technician telling me that it was probably misdiagnosed in May.

They were completely unyielding, so at this point, six months out of warranty, I have close to $500 costs in service calls, parts and labor on a three-year old "high-end" fancy washing machine. I do not recommend Asko appliances. They're expensive to begin with, and I'm afraid that they will continue to be expensive to maintain given my experience so far. Their customer service representatives have limited ability to problem solve and everything has to go through "management."

When I got a manager on the phone, she was worse than the phone reps. She said to me twice, "You know, I'm sorry but warranties don't last forever." It was very patronizing and insulting. I was trying to be reasonable and ask Asko to meet me half way by splitting the cost of the heating element or picking up some of the labor cost. She was absolutely unyielding and had no interest in improving the customer experience. Very frustrating. Buyer beware, the Asko customer service model is seriously flawed.

The D 5233 dishwasher was bought from the Great Doors of Houston, Texas around the first of December. The cost for this machine was a lot more than the other brands because it was supposed to be so great. This machine came with a big blue mark on the door and it would not come off, so they sent a new door and a company nearby came and put it on. The machine has not worked right. It filled up with water and would not pump it out ;the technician said that it was probably the pump, so we got a authorization number. The man was supposed to work on it and got it running. But now water won't come in the machine.

So they are telling me that it was working and it's fixed. The lady that I spoke to said that they had fixed the machine and my question to her was, "Then why wouldn't the water come in the machine?" She told me to try to reset the machine. So we did and it did not work. There is no one in our area to service this machine. So she said that the supervisor would call me back but I have already heard that. What is wrong with this company? They suck.

I purchased an Asko dishwasher model D3122 and it stopped working with water pooling in bottom. I called Asko and followed their instructions to clean out the bottom and run again, which still did not work. I was given names of service people to call to come and fix the machine (long distance calls also at my expense). No one will service Asko products.

I have spent four months calling all over Ontario, Montreal and Ohio and still my dishwasher is not fixed. I get told that supervisors will call back and none of them did. They sent out a part to a service dealer after four months of no action only to send the wrong part. I have had to take days off work to have people come to my home to look at the machine and determine the problem and then again on the day, they came with the wrong part.

I have had to make long distance phone calls to fix a product that as a consumer, I should not have to do.

After four months, I am still sitting with no dishwasher and out of $600. I intend to inform as many as possible through all means available i.e., media that buyers beware and stay away from any and all Asko products.

The dryer is just as bad. I gave up and bought Kenmore. I do not recommend Asko appliances. They are a lot of hype. I spent over $600.00 to get these monstrosities to work to no avail.

We purchased our Asko model #D3450 dishwasher December of 2004. It ran up until late summer 2009. We called Asko and they said we needed to remove the face plate at the bottom front of the dishwasher, and to sponge out any water that may be in the pan. We did it took hours to do. I called Asko back and they gave me numbers to about 3 Asko repair dealers in Minnesota. We live out in the country but not to far out, just enough for one repair dealer to charge us about $200.00 just for the mileage to come out. Not going to happen. After doing dishes by hand for about 2-3 months we finally took it in to a repair shop a little bit closer to home but not much.
The problem is a error code F4 an overfill problem supposingly. The repair man said that there was a cut in the line and it was dripping onto the motor. They replaced the line and replaced the motor, and we brought it back home. About 2 days of it being home it was having more problems, and it finally brokedown again with the smae problem, Not draining, and lights blinking. We called the repair man out from the same repair shop that we brought it into, they came out and told us that the water valve under the sink was shut off, no it was not! it is to tough to even push in or out. So after a $95.00 charge for the repair man to push a little nob in, since then it ran good, just until yesterday 11/24/09. I have called the same repair shop and they cannot get out until Tuesday of next week. The dishwasher is having the same problem that it was having from the start. I called Asko yesterday 11/24/09 to see what could be done, all they could say was "I'm sorry mam, all I can do is have someone get back to you within 24 hours." YEAH RIGHT! I called Asko this morning 11/25/09, I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager, I explained the problem over, and over, and over. All they could do was tell me the same thing, "well the service company should stand by their repair job, or you'll need to call another repair service out." After getting yelled at by ASKO themselves, I asked them if they stood behind their product, they said "yes we do". So after spending over $1100.00 on a dishwasher that doesn't wash dishes, and spending another $400.00 for it to be repaired, and it's not repaired. And reading all of the blogs on the defective Asko products. I am stuck doing dishes by hand. I do have to admit our old dishwasher a Kenmore, that we had for 10 years, before we moved in 2004 worked for 10 years, and the only thing wrong with that dishwasher was the seal around the door, that was replaced the next day. ASKO is a bad manufacturer, they lie, they take hard working peoples money and don't stand behind their product!

Two problems to report: 1 - An Asko washer that has stopped working after four months, and 2 - A bad experience with Asko over the phone.
We have the Asko W6222 washer and it's still under warranty. We've used it for just four months. After running a load, it still has water in the tub, seems to not drain fully. We called Asko, they gave us two names of local people to call for service. We called one who came out. He said he needed to order a part, and that usually Asko has the part to him in two days. He unplugged the washer and told us not to use it. We told him to have the part overnighted if possible and we would pay the cost for that. He called a short time later and said that Asko would not allow him to have the part overnighted, that if we wanted it overnighted, we'd have to call them ourselves! My wife called and was shuffled to three different people. The third said he'd take care of it and would put her on hold to make arrangements. She waited for him on hold for a full thirty minutes. When the phone was picked up, it was by another person who had no idea what my wife was talking about.

Having paid a considerable amount for these "high-end" appliances, we have been very disappointed in their performance (or lack thereof). We have, since brand new, had continuous problems with our dryer. There has been a smoking smell in the clothing and we determined that lint was being trapped in the back of the dryer and was actually catching fire. After numerous service calls, the fix was to put a piece of duct tape over holes that were designed into the machine to do who knows what. Asko apparently was aware of the problem but failed to notify consumers or service personnel. Due to the difficulty in getting service (their service network is terrible), the poor attitude of those with whom we spoke at Asko, the money spent and the real possibility that we could have burned our house down, we decided, when our Asko washer broke down after 4 years, to throw it out and get a Whirlpool Duet with which we are very happy.

The washer was delivered to my residence on Monday, February 23rd. I installed it on Wednesday, February 25th. The machine would fill up with water and then do nothing. The Machine would never move on to the wash cycle. I called Asko directly as soon as I tried to use the machine. I requested a new machine be sent to me and requested them to pick this one up. The lady I spoke with said that they would not send a new one, but she would arrange for a local service man to look at the machine. I told her that I did not want a new machine that needed to be repaired before it was placed in service!! Asko would not send a new machine. I finally told her that if that was there policy and it was legal, I would have no choice but to let the repairman look at the machine, as Asko already had my payment of $1382.99. The repairman showed up February 26th and determined that the mother board was defective and that he would have to order a new one. When he called Asko to let them know the problem, their responce to him was, we want you to check some other things because that mother board costs over $300.00. The repairman came to my residence again on Saturday, February 28th and again determined that the mother board was the problem. The serviceman contacted Asko and tried to order the board and he was put on hold for 38 minutes and then hung up on. The serviceman finally was successful in ordering the part on THURSDAY MARCH 13th!!! Asko told me that the part had to come from Sweden and that I could expect delivery sometime in April, no exact time, just some time in April.

I bought an Asko washer/dryer combo unit (Model Number WCAM1812) on 4/30/08. About a week later an electronic card quit working. The Asko people assigned a local appliance repair shop to make the repairs. After the repairman came out and found the bad card, he ordered a replacement from Asko. They sent one out and then did not authorize a return visit to my house to put it in. Afetr a long round of phone calls, he finally got the authorization only to discover after arriving to my house that they sent the wrong part. He re-ordered the part and received another wrong part. After three weeks, he finally received the right part and repaired the washer. On that repair we spent between $400 - 500 at the laundromat (enough to buy a decent washing machine at Sears). Then a few weeks later it quit spinning. The same repairman came out to service it and found another bad part (electronic again, I think). It was down for a week or so that time. Then a few weeks later it quit spinning again. The same repairman came out again...it was a bad belt this time. It quit working again a week ago. It quit spinning and it is making a griding noise. Asko tried to get the same people to work on it again, but they no longer service Asko appliances. They contacted another place about 50 or 60 miles away. After 4 days, we finally got a return call from the new repairman. He is convinced that it is a motor and capacitor from the description we gave him over the phone. I had asked Asko if we could get a replacement machine (the old repairman was going to recommend that if he had to come out any more). They said that it only had ONE MAJOR repair.

I have an Asko dishwasher which was purchased brand new in 2004. In July of this year, it broke. I contacted the company and they put me in touch with an Asko certified repairman. I called the repairman to come out. He explained that he doesn't like to work on these because he has a hard time with the company. Assured him it would not be difficult. He came to my house, diagnosed the problem and attempted to order the part from my home. He did not have his 4 digit authorization code with him, so they would not let him order the part. This went on and on with excuses why the part not being ordered ranged from no authorization code to me having to call and file a claim.

After about 10 weeks of this, the part was finally ordered. During those 10 weeks, I would continually call the company. They would not return my calls or they would tell me one thing and then when I would call back I was told something else. Two weeks ago, I received a message from a second supervisor informing me that she is very sorry. She has no idea why this has been going on so long but assured me it would be resolved. The part finally arrived and on 10/7 the repairman came out to fix it. Turns out we now need additional parts. We were informed that the parts were ordered but on back order and they should arrive in about 8 days.

Then, 10/14, my repairman calls me and says he is finished. He will not deal with them anymore. Apparently they now said he needs to fill out a contract or application to work on their projects - even though this was the company they sent me to. He filled out the paperwork and then they said he needs to fill out two more things. He said forget it. I am now left with no dishwasher for 3 months and no repair person. The company takes the approach when I speak with them that they can do whatever they want. I requested at this point they come pick up the dishwasher and drop off a new one. If I bought a less expensive GE model, I would have had it fixed right away.

I (through my builder) bought an Asko washer and dryer summer of 1999. I moved in to my new home 2 days after labor day, 1999; that's when the appliances first started in use. Within three months, the dryer stopped working. I called Few apliances (704-588-1690)at that time and subsequent to then. A couple of months later (about 3/00) the washer broke; apparently a fuse. @ 3 months later, again the washer, this time the electronic circuitry board.

At this time, it's non operational again due to what's thought to be the modulator (what ever that is). For the second and now third time it's broken, It's taken 2 plus weeks to fix, costing me additional expense at the dry cleaner and time to launder it somewhere else. The washer has only been in use 15 months. I've had washers (American made!) go 15 years before a belt would go. Unfortunately, despite calling Asko ( now owned by AM appliances) I've got nowhere.

I spoke to 'Debbie' on 2 separate occasions, however, I was told I had to Collect my original invoices, all invoices regarding repairs and mail them all and only then would they consider replacing it, which was what I asked for; The woman said it's under warranty for 3 years anyway. Interestingly, it was changed form 1 to 3 years for warranty service for items sold after 4/99 (probably because they were getting complaints). Unfortunately, Few Appliances is not obligated to do anything else except repairs.

I called Queen City, from whom I purchased these items and spoke to the owner (Randy) who took this matter very seriously, however (while I just spoke with him last week) he hasn't got back to me. So, now I'm stuck with an expensive washer (should've stuck with good old American KitchenAid) which has broken down 3 times since 1/00. I couldn't even get another brand to fit under the cabinet shelf as Asko is the only one. I would have to get a carpenter to change the cabintry first. I know of no one to call at this time.

I an extremely angry at the response I got from Asko to begin with. They weren't helpful at all. If it was my company, and there was a complaint, no matter what, it would be looked into and taken seriously. They (their representative) did nothing to satisfy me. In fact she was blantantly rude, which I told her.
