Aptive Environmental is a pest control company that has been in business since 2015. It’s a bronze member of the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP) for companies pursuing alternative pest control practices and is a member of The National Pest Management Association (NPMA). How does Aptive Environmental work?
You can call Aptive directly or submit an online form to get started. The company doesn’t provide free inspections, but you can get a free quote over the phone.
Aptive’s services generally require a year-long contract. There are three main plans to choose from, all of which target both the inside and outside of your home. However, technicians can only treat attics with finished flooring and crawl spaces that are at least five feet high. Aptive guarantees that if you notice pests between scheduled appointments, a technician will return and re-treat for free.
- Basic: Treatments every 50 to 80 days. Doesn’t include outdoor rodents, pantry pests, snails, slugs or aphids, but you can add them for an additional fee.
- Pro: Treatments every 30 to 60 days in April through October and every 50 to 80 days in November through March. Includes outdoor rodents, pantry pests, snails, slugs and aphids.
- Premium: Treatments every 20 to 40 days in April through October and every 50 to 80 days in November through March. Includes outdoor rodents, pantry pests, snails, slugs, aphids and mosquitos.
Aptive Environmental pest control services
Aptive treats a range of household pests, including:

Treatment of rodents, mosquitoes, flies, fleas, ticks, aphids, snails and slugs is not included in Aptive’s basic service and requires an additional charge. The company also doesn’t treat bed bugs and has only begun treating termites in a very limited service area.
Aptive Environmental costs
All of Aptive’s prices are based on year-long service agreements. As of publishing, a standard initial treatment is $399, with monthly fees ranging from $49 to $99 depending on the frequency of service and the types of pests being treated. This brings annual costs to between $938 and $1,488. Aptive frequently has promotional discounts, so you may be able to get the initial treatment at a lower cost. Customers pay upfront for the initial treatment and then monthly for the length of the contract term. There is a $199 fee for canceling the contract early.

What chemicals does Aptive Environmental use?
All of Aptive’s products are EPA-approved and customers will receive a list of all the chemicals used on their property. The chemicals used depend on the season, the type and life stage of the pest and your location — some products aren’t registered for use in all states. Is Aptive Environmental safe for pets?
In general, the chemicals Aptive uses are safe for pets. However, the company advises that people and animals should stay away from treated areas until they’re completely dry, typically two to three hours. Customers with birds or aquariums should either remove them from the house during treatment or cover them completely.
Does Aptive Environmental have payment plans?
Aptive does not offer payment plans. When you sign a contract, you’ll pay for the initial treatment and then each month thereafter to continue your services.

I've been using Aptive Environmental for about nine months after they offered a sign-up discount. The company generally tries to sell you a comprehensive plan, but I opted for a standard one, which has been sufficient and more affordable. Initially, I reached out to them due to a bug infestation in my pantry, but since they've been coming, I haven't had that issue again.
My most recent experience with them was a month ago during one of my routine scheduled visits. Their tech came by, cleared out spider webs, checked for pests, and applied some anti-ant treatment in my kitchen. Scheduling appointments with them is straightforward, either online or via their customer service, which I find quite convenient, especially since I often reschedule.
I've found their customer service and the service provided to be excellent, rating both at a 5. However, the price can be a bit steep, so I'd rate it between 3 and 4.

Since I've been doing Aptive Environmental, I've never had any problems at all. I have been a customer for about 1.5 to 2 years and they always come, except one time. The appointment was rescheduled due to rain, but otherwise, their service has been consistent. I chose them somewhat randomly but have been very satisfied with the decision.
My interactions with their technicians have always been positive. They are courteous and do excellent work, efficiently removing cobwebs and taking care of pest control so well that I haven't seen bugs since they started their service. They did an indoor treatment once, but I don't it anymore because their advice to focus on outdoor treatment to prevent pests from entering has been effective.
If asked, I would highly recommend Aptive Environmental to friends and family. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, I would give them a 5 for their service quality and customer service. Plus, the value they provide makes it worthwhile, also earning them a 5-star rating in for pricing.

I've been using Aptive Environmental's services for a while, and I've always been impressed with their dedication and professionalism. The technician who visits our home is very courteous and always rings the doorbell to check if we have any specific pest-related issues. He follows a routine where he treats around all the windows and garage door, and occasionally, we have him treat inside the garage too.
Since starting their service, we haven't encountered any problems with spiders or ants, which were a significant issue last winter. The technician also pays attention to areas like the plumbing lines, ensuring a comprehensive treatment around the house. I've noticed no pest activity inside our home, which is fantastic.
Their customer service is superb. The technicians wear name tags, which I appreciate, and they are always friendly. They also send an email update if any issues are noted or treated. I have no complaints about the company and would rate all aspects of their service, including the price and website usability, as 5 stars. The website is straightforward, and I receive appointment notifications in advance, which is very helpful for rescheduling if needed.
Overall, I highly recommend Aptive Environmental for their excellent service and customer care.

Aptive Environmental does a wonderful job and are very professional and friendly. The team is knowledgeable and ensures you are informed about their work. They notify you when they are on their way and send pictures of their activities outside, keeping you well-informed. If any issues arise, they are always willing to come back. I've been very satisfied with their service. Since using their service, pest activity in my home has significantly reduced. Normally, I would encounter ant problems around this time of year, but since their intervention, I haven't had any ants inside. They are set to visit again soon for a scheduled spray.
The technicians are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They wear booties when entering the house to keep it clean and respect the property. I appreciate the alerts and texts before their arrival and their practice of taking pictures and providing feedback surveys after their visits. This consistent communication is something I value highly.

I’ve been a customer for about two years now, and I’ve been extremely pleased with the results. Before starting with Aptive, I struggled with persistent spider and ant issues. Since using their service, those problems have been completely resolved, and I haven’t had any recurring pest issues.
