People need to know that when the first flat screens came out and even now, I was told that they were only made to last a few years. Don't know if all that is true, but I have had my 47 inch INSIGNIA HDTV PLASMA for about 8 years now and I love it.. It has a better pic than my 50 inch Toshiba led... If your tv is on constantly I'm sure that the life of it is shorter, or if you play games on it...

I purchased a 55" Insignia flat screen from Best Buy and the TV was in our living room and seldomly watched unless we had a group of people over. Not even a year after purchasing the TV, I was sitting watching the news and out of nowhere the screen went completely blue and no picture ever returned!!! It was a total disappointment. I work very hard and a lot of hrs to support my children on my own and I tried to go out a little to have a nice large screen TV and they are total junk 100%. And I feel that Best Buy and Insignia should have a class action suit for doing people so wrong and to stop them from doing it anymore.

Insignia TV 37" model NS-L37Q-10A - I had this Insignia model for about 5 years when recently I had this very strong electrical burning smell in my bedroom where the TV is located, had to open windows to get the smell out. At first thought it was from surround sound speakers and unplugged it. Mind you the TV was still playing with no problems. A few days later the smell returned, much worst, this time I was in the room went over to the other electronics, DVD recorder, DirecTV genie; no smell from them, then went to the insignia, BINGO! I unplugged it immediately emailed the company about the issue. The only advice I got from them, don't plug the TV up again, which I already knew. A refund or any compensation, of course not! I think support was only concerned the TV did not catch on fire! Be careful of this brand, can be dangerous too!

I bought an Insignia TV/DVD combo (Mod.# NS-LTDVD26) about 5 years ago but never use the DVD player until today. Every time you try to put a DVD in it automatically ejects the DVD. I read the reviews and found out that it is a very common problem and that almost everyone has had this problem with their DVD player but they get the run around when they try to get it fixed. I know that the warranty has long expired and there is nothing I can do at this point. But I do believe there should have been a recall for this TV by Best Buy.

This has happened at least 6 times and this thing is only a week old. After reading some of the reviews on here, I see this is a problem. Gonna call the geek squad tomorrow to find the issues. I purchased a 36 ins. Insignia TV in January 2014 from Future Shop. In September 2014, the TV went dead, there was no sound/picture. I spoke with Insignia staff but they could not help me, I was advised to return the TV to Future Shop for repairs. Future Shop could not confirm when the TV will be returned. I got back my TV six weeks later. That's not the end, after two weeks the TV stopped working again, this time there was sound, but no picture. Again, Future Shop sent the TV for repairs and it took another six weeks for me to get it back. To my surprise, the TV only lasted for four days on this occasion. So within a period of one year, I was without my TV for 3 months. Future Shop will not give me a loaner despite my pleas with the manager.

Never again will I purchase ANYTHING from Future Shop, and I will advise everyone to do the same. The Insignia TV is a crocodile waiting to snap on you, and the manufacturers are not doing any thing to help customers. I only had one year factory warranty on my TV, thus I had to throw it in the garbage at this time. Who are these repair men/women? What are they being paid for? Taking six weeks to fix a TV that works for four days. Customers beware of purchasing anything from Future Shop.

Previously I had stated that I had a problem with my 48" LED Insignia 1080p TV purchased from Best Buy Canada. Insignia Corp. Customer Service was very helpful and I am now satisfied. I connected the TV to another HD Cable Box and the info now shows 1080p. Insignia Corp. & Best Buy were both very helpful & prompt in suggesting solutions and resolving the problem. I am now a very happy customer enjoying great picture & sound on my Insignia TV.

    Original Review: Feb. 10, 2015

Purchased a 48" Insignia LED TV from Best Buy. The outside of the box said 1080p. After setting up the TV and connecting it to my HD Cable Box, I am only able to get 720p and not 1080p. The staff at Best Buy are unable to help. It is pretty obvious that Insignia put a 720p TV in the box that states 1080p on the outside. Very disappointed as I wanted a 1080p LED TV.

We've had the television for 5 years and used it in the bedroom, so it wasn't used as much as the living room television. At first, there was a narrow discolored on the very far left. We thought that it might be the cable box until we changed cable boxes and it still kept happening. Now most of the time there is just black on the ENTIRE left half of the television. My wife says sometimes the black box goes away after the TV is "warmed up". That may be true when TV's had tubes, but shouldn't now. When you pay that much for a TV, it should last longer than five years! Especially since it wasn't used as much as our other one.

Insignia 55 " tv ( NS-55L260A13) - I purchased this tv February 11, 2014. By October the tv would began just shutting itself down occasionally. Then would not come back on when the power button was pushed. Sometimes after unplugging it, then plugging it in again it would come back on. Other times it would not power up for hours, then days. I had purchased the geek squad 4 yr. Coverage plan. I called the geek squad about getting my tv repaired and after 3 times of them calling and canceling because they told me they could not get the parts needed to complete the repair, they urged me to exchange my tv for a new one. The guy said because they failed to get my repair completed within 30 days I was entitled to the exchange. He also told me they really had no idea when they might get the parts needed to fix my tv.

I finally went in and worked out a trade. It took hours trying to get them to give me some compensation by discounting this new tv I shouldn't be having to buy. Knowing that this tv too might be a lemon also I purchased a new protection plan. So after less than a year shelling out even more $ for a new tv. Do Better Best Buy! I agree there should be a class action suit against Best Buy and or Insignia for selling these tvs with the knowledge that they are defective!

Our 47" Insignia, purchased in Feb. 2009, finally died today. It died because we failed to have it hooked up to a UPS, to protect it from power surges, and lo and behold, after an outage a couple of days ago it now refuses to power back on. It gives us the "PLEASE WAIT" message, but no picture, and the controls on the TV are unresponsive. It was a really nice TV to us for nearly 6 years, and my only regret is my stupidity in not investing in a good surge protector!

I give the TV a four star rating rather than five, because it has very little functionality when used with the universal remote which comes with the Cox cable/recording box. The Cox remote has buttons for every function of the Insignia TV, but it is completely impossible to get such features as picture-in-picture to work at all. Since the TV remote got lost, this has been an annoyance which many other TV brands do not encounter. The Cox remote codes for Insignia TV's have been notoriously bad. But, as a TV it had lots of inputs and worked wonderfully with my gaming consoles.

My partner took it back to the store and he was told that he was one month too late for the warranty and would have to pay to have it fixed but it would be better to buy a new one :-(. I followed instructions carefully for putting on the stand, etc. Called Best Buy to exchange, they said since it was purchased in August, I had to send it back to Insignia for repair and they would probably charge for a cracked screen. I told them it was cracked out of the box. They didn't care, just stated their policy. Went to Best Buy store to plead for a reasonable resolution, they refused to budge. I will never buy anything again from Best Buy, nor will my wife and kids, and I will relate this experience to as many friends and co-workers as possible. 42" Insignia LCD TV NS-L42Q-10A - We purchased this TV new about 3 years ago and set it up in our guest room. This TV has less than 5 total viewing hours on it. This TV has less time on it than it takes to watch a football game. Recently, we decided to relocate the TV to the living room and I purchased and installed a wall hanger for the TV. Without testing, I simply moved the TV from one wall to another. After the move I tried to turn the TV on but got nothing. Only the red led flashes about every three seconds.

I reasoned that even though the TV had only a few hours of viewing on it that it still had been plugged in for years and that the power supply probably died. I purchased a new power supply and installed it. Same result. Nothing but the flashing led. I then reasoned that the next component (the main board) had died. I purchased a used one for $100.00 to test with and installed it. The TV worked for about an hour before it died again with a loud "Pop" sound. I'm sure that was the fuse on the power supply. I reinstalled the original power supply and turned the TV back on again. This time I get the message "Please Wait" and then the TV does nothing else.

Without the proper equipment to test the main board, I purchased another to try again. Alas... the same result. "Please Wait" and then nothing. It's official... In my opinion, these TV's are absolute garbage and you want to avoid these TV's like they have a plague.

My plan now is to bag this TV up and take it out in the desert for some target practice. It will be about a $1200.00 target so I really plan to do some damage to this thing. Best Buy should be completely ashamed to sell such low quality products to their customers and that's what I'll tell them in my letter to Best Buy coming next. INSIGNIA IS GARBAGE!!!!

I bought a 55" Insignia TV from Best Buy 17 months ago. It comes with a 1 yr warranty for around $800. That barely covered it. After 17 months the TV won't turn on. The red light flashes in series of three and dies. I have to unplug then replug 20-30 times before it will turn on like a flickering fluorescent light with a bad baffle. I went to the store of purchase and was told it would cost me almost half what I paid to ship and give me an estimate before I even got it fixed and those labor and parts cost added on. I also have a 42" with combined DVD player which has had a disc stuck/inoperable for a year. That cost to repair was more than I paid.

Insignia Flat Screen 40" Model # NS-40D40SNA14 - Purchased TV in April 2014, I think. 3 days ago I turned on the TV and could not get the TV to power on for longer than 20-30 seconds. The brand name logo would come on and it would show the channel 5.2 but the rest of the screen would be black. After many times a picture finally came on the screen after during the initial logo stuff and it would last for about 30-60 seconds before it went off again. I tried to figure it out on my own for a couple of days but nothing worked. Unplugging it for a while, unplugging overnight. The remote did absolutely nothing to help and I could not even change the channels, increase or decrease the volume, nothing. I called the company and spoke with a male with a very strong accent. I had a very difficult time in understanding him. I had to ask him to repeat everything he said and then repeat it back to him. He had me go through some steps but it did not work and he told me to take it in to Best Buy with my receipt.

I called back to Insignia tonight to see if I would get a different person to help me but the language barrier was too strong. This person just told me to hold the power button for a sustained period of time and then let it go and wait a half hour before I plug the TV in. He said I could use the time to locate my receipt. Gee, thanks. Now seeing that there are so many unhappy purchasers I wish I had done research before I bought this brand. I will never recommend it to anyone and I will warn my friends and loved ones not to buy it. Also, I am going to call the Attorney General Office and see if they can help me or direct me to someone who can. I want their office to be aware of the many complaints against this company. There should be some recourse for the consumer.

I purchased the tv in July 2013. On October 10, 2014, the screen basically died! The audio is fine, and all the other TVs in the house are fine (not Insignia!) so not a cable issue. I am told it is a bad LED screen and is out of warranty. I do not have $500 to throw around once a year for a product that should have lived longer than 1 year and 90 days! Bad product. And Insignia is not interested in working with this consumer to compromise some satisfactory resolution.

Bought 32" with dvd built in, 2009. Only had it a few months and sound went out. Best buy was horrible and no help, had to pay $200 to an outside repairman. Now this problem of turning off on its own started, then stopped. Now a few months ago it wouldn't come on. I had cable box replaced and that was when it happened the first time. If I unplugged and reset it would come on. I didn't use it much, husband was sick and dying so never home. It now has begun doing it regularly and I had cable out again 5 days ago. Thinking they did it, he shut it off to see the problem. Now 5 days later it won't come back on at all.

Now I'm on here, I see I'm not alone. Of course I either have to pay for repair. I paid $600 for this, put $200 into it for sound repair, it will obviously be cheaper to buy a new TV, starting at $150 brand new. Best Buy should be ashamed of this product. Never again. So basically the TV is no good now unless expensive repair. Oh and DVD player never worked correctly, got stuck, wouldn't play, made terrible noises. Bad product.

Called Dish, verified everything was fine with that hookup. They gave me INSIGNIA's phone number... I could not understand him. He could not understand me... Sounded like he was going to charge me for his help. Wanted my name, address, phone, etc... I hung up and called Best Buy tech support. By 2:15 pm they told me I had a lemon and to take it back. Foolishly we got the same 40" Insignia TV. Brought it home... same, no color or sound. Spent the next 4 hours with DISH... who decided I needed to upgrade my receiver. I bought the TV from Best Buy for $599, and it makes me extremely angry that I purchased something for that much, and it only lasted one year and eleven months. I was told by the Best Buy representative that this TV was a good TV, and that Samsung is the manufacturer. That Best Buy had them make TV's for their own brand "Insignia". Over the past weeks, the pixel has stretched all the way to the top of my screen and has ruined the picture completely. After calling the Insignia manufacturing company, they informed me the two year warranty had expired. They said that I'd need a new picture tube, which would cost $400. I am sure you can understand how frustrating this is. The TV is only 2 in a half years old and should not be falling apart. I will never purchase another Insignia TV ever again. The TV would work for about four months, stop working again, and a technician would come to my home to repair it again. Now that the warranty that comes with the TV has expired, the TV has stopped working again. My options are to pay $200 to have the TV repaired or do without one until I can afford to buy a new NON-INSIGNIA TV. Neither option appeals to me. However, I will never put one penny towards another Insignia TV, so the second option is my only choice. Best Buy should be sued for misrepresenting to its customers that Insignia TVs work consistently (as do normal TVs) when the reality is that the Insignia brand only works sporadically.

I have had my Insignia TV for a little over a year now, maybe two. I am a college student who lives in an apartment, so I only really have my TV on to fall asleep to since I am always out. Last year, when I had first purchased the TV, everything was fine. But then the issues started happening slowly. If I had the TV off for a weekend, I would turn the power on and the first few minutes, the screen had lines running across the screen and the picture was blurry and fuzzy. The pictures would be smeared looking on the screen. After a few minutes, the picture would go back to normal.

I moved out of my apartment to live with my mom this past summer, so I kept the TV in a safe place at home and did not use it since I had my own TV there. I move into my new apartment yesterday and when I go to turn on the TV, it does the same creepy picture thing again. Ok, no problem, it always does this. Wrong. This time the picture is ten times worse and the audio cuts out. Then a few popping noises and the screen cuts out and the TV basically shuts off. I had many people look at it and they all tell me that it is not the cable, it's the TV.

I call the Insignia people, and they are incredibly rude and not helpful. My friend has a friend who works for the company and he even told him to stay away from the products. Ha! Now I will be picking up another shift at work to start saving up for a DECENT and WORKING TV. The people at the company know how crappy their products are, but as long as they are getting paid - it's not their problem. I will be spreading the word, like the rest of you all seem to be doing. Eventually went to Home Depot and bought washers to get a tight fit as I had looked up reviews on line stating the same issue. Finally got the stand together and attached it to the tv. Got the tv plugged in and turned on to find a line down the middle of the screen and no picture. Put that one back in the box. Took the 2nd one out and had the same struggle with the stand. However, this tv actually had a picture and worked fine. I boxed the damaged one up and took back to Best Buy to exchange.

Brought the new Insignia tv home. This stand went together no problem. Plugged it in, worked fine and went off after 30 min and then back on. I thought maybe it was my outlet. Moved the plug to a surge protector plugged into a different outlet. From there, no problems. Good picture, good sound for 4 months. One morning in December, I get up, try to turn it on and nothing. Doesn't work. I see the red light that is usually on when the tv is off is no longer on. Unplugged, plugged back in and still nothing. Left it unplugged for 2 days then plugged back in and the red light came one. Working again.

Worked for that night and that was it. Now even after unplugging for a couple days, it's still not working. Have not yet called Insignia to see what they will do to fix, but after 4 months with the money spent, and already being on the 2nd tv, seems ridiculous. That to me says it's a poor product, especially when I have read several other people state they have had problems with the power. Must be a known issue that you would think they would have corrected by now.

This one has gray black streaks running from the top of TV to the bottom of TV. It now has 4 big streaks and Best Buy tells me the picture is going out. Is it worth repairing or buy another product? I have the same problem with the 42" Insignia that I purchased from Best Buy. When we turn on the TV, we get a fuzzy off-color picture. I have tried plugging and unplugging, change the picture settings and color warmth, turning the TV on and off multiple times, turning the TV off for a few hours and trying again... Nothing works. I have the 32" Insignia TV/DVD combo and after 6 years of use, the power no longer turns on. I have unplugged and replugged into different outlets and the power light comes on but if you press the power button, the light goes off and the TV doesn't turn on. I see on here lots of people with this issue and was wondering if anyone got it fixed and if so what was fixed and price range? Or is it not fixable and I should invest money into another TV? It is kind of crappy that only after 6 years technology doesn't work anymore. I mean come on, most of us had the old TVs that we all grew up with and they lasted forever and the day.

As I'm researching it appears this is a known issue of the Insignia LCD 32 inch TV that the TV unit will not power on thus there should have been a recall or at least Insignia should take responsibility for the repair. This however isn't the first issue I've had with this model. Previously the picture would yellow out in a split screen. I purchased the TV because the rep mentioned it was a Best Buy product and that they stood by their products. I hope he's right because I plan on contacting them to handle this repair. And would hate to be disappointed and have to now switch to HHGregg for all my electronic needs.

I had bought TV from Fort Myers, Best Buy in February. They had seen the TV in the store and said, "I see it is under the 1-year warranty but without receipt, we won't fix it." I got the same response from Insignia. Just because no receipt, no fix but it was confirmed that it was under mfg. warranty by both. I looked and did find the receipt in two weeks. Both fought me and then got 3rd party to schedule to look at it. They scheduled a repair 4 days later. Guess what, they never showed. 8 hours of no pay by my wife.

They said 8 am to 12 pm. I called at 1230 pm and was told they needed parts and had called and said they cancelled until parts came in. I guess they had a crystal ball, no show but knew what was bad. Still 8 days later, no call, no nothing, just arguing 6 weeks. I hate Best Buy and Insignia. Screwed by both. Purchased an Insignia 55inch TV 2.5 years ago. A vertical line has appeared through the middle of the screen. (A single vertical line of pixels.) It's sensitive to light. Dark colors appears red, and light colors, the line appears black. Insignia (Best Buy) will not do anything at all to fix it. It's 5 months out of warranty. Took it to a Television repair shop. They can't do anything to fix it. It's not a part in the TV, it's on the display itself, so to fix it would cost just as much as the TV was.

So basically, I bought a 650 dollar Insignia TV that lasted 2.5 years under very minimal use (once to three times per week) and it can't be fixed and will not be replaced by the manufacturer.

Worked great until March. Screen started rotating through various colors. Would not do anything else. Took it back to Best Buy. They sent it off, and when we got it back, they said they did a factory restore on it. Worked for about six more weeks with no issues. Then the same thing happened again. Took it back to Best Buy, and they would not switch it out for another one (since we did not get their warranty). So we have shipped it off again. Called Insignia, and they were no help. They pretty much said that all they could do was keep fixing it. That is great, but what happens when the manufacturer warranty runs out??? So I bought two Insignia 32'' flat screens on price impulse: one back in 2007 for $600 and the other in 2009 for $350. I've had these unopened televisions sitting safely in my storage until early last year (2012). I took out the one I bought first in 2007 that cost more and please note that I'm very type A about my things because I'm not rich and I don't have an everything-is-disposable attitude, so when I spend my hard-earned money on specific products, I expect them to last. I take good care of everything I have and I'm all about quality. Well 9 months later, after enjoying my Insignia TV, the picture becomes distorted with what I'm calling black snow (tiny black speckles) and barely watchable if you're desperate or lazy.

I tried everything. I unplugged it several times. I unhooked my Wii PlayStation and Insignia DVD player but to no avail. I have been a customer of Best Buy for years and even have a credit card with them which I've used for about 99% of my purchases so they are able to view on their system everything I've ever purchased with them, not to mention I've kept every single receipt from that store until this day. I talked to one of the managers and explained my situation in which he asked me to bring it in and if the problem still persists, he'll give me a damn good deal on a new TV. Well, I'd like my $600 TV to work without having to spend more money here, dude.

He pulled up the original receipt from the computer and acknowledged on his own that I've spent a lot of money with them over the years as he's going through my spend record they keep. Yeah! Thousands! I come back half an hour later with my pristine looking TV along with the original box and the other new unopened Insignia TV still sealed in its box to prove a point that just because I purchased it 5 years ago doesn't mean I've been using it for 5 years, nor is it thrashed. Tell me why when he hooks it up to one of their DVD players does it appear fine?! He goes on to tell me that it's probably my devices i.e. PlayStation and Wii, all of which I purchased at Best Buy and take good care of so I know it's not my devices!

So I looked like a jerk. I took it back home sans the Insignia DVD player I owned (I gave it to the manager to recycle) and works fine for about 2 months and the same problem is back! Bottom line is Best Buy doesn't care about knowingly selling you inferior products. I just brought the other unopened Insignia back from my storage and will see how long this piece of ** will last. Please save your money and don't be fooled by the lower prices. Stick to the tried and true name brand televisions. Yeah, they cost a little more but if you're like me and expect your product to be worthy of the money you spent, then you'll go with a superior brand. Just google ‘Insignia TV complaints’ and you'll see for yourself.

So to save $100, we went with that brand because it was less money and better warranty than the Sony next to it. 2 years and a few months later, the DVD player, which we used less than 10 times, quit working. I took it to the store and they said that they could not do anything for me since warranty was up. It would cost me $32.00 for shipping and minimum of $55.00 for someone to look at it, plus the parts and labor. It’s a waste of money to purchase Insignia TV.

I bought a Insignia 32" Flat Screen in 2006 along with a 4 year maintenance extended warranty. I was extremely glad that I did buy the warranty due to the repairs I had to have done since the day I brought it home. First, after unpacking and installing, it would not work. I called Insignia and they told Best Buy to exchange it for another. I was told they did not have anymore like the one I bought and had to give me a store model. After returning home and installing this one, it worked fine for about 8 months, then the video went. The Geek Squad came out and replaced a part.

It worked fine until the audio went out, Geek Squad replaced another part. This happened like clock work for the next 3 years. Video and audio, video and then audio. Then in February 2010, video again. I expressed to Insignia that reading my warranty, I found that North Carolina has a lemon law and I expressed this to Insignia that this was a prime example of a lemon. The rep claimed this only is when you cannot fix it, which is not what the NC lemon law verbiage stated and I read it to her word for word, "once a product has been repaired for the same problem more than 4 times, we will replace the item. She claimed that the product was repaired for audio and then video, audio, video , audio etc. So this did not pertain and was not the case for a claim on the lemon law. The Geek Squad came to fix the TV and I asked him was this repair going to stick this time or should I buy another warranty because the one I have is going to expire. His answer was it would probably cost as much as a New TV.

The warranty has expired and I am sitting here with a TV that the picture has gone out and I can either pay $450.00 to fix per the Geek Squad based on the parts they have replaced or buy a new one for $269.99. Does this mean that the TV should only last 4 years before you have to buy a new one or keep contributing to this bottomless pit?

I Called Insignia and they said to call the manager of Best Buy and they should work with me on a replacement, I really think this is Insignia's stock answer and that they have had these calls before. Bruce, at Best Buy was indifferent about my situation and Matt, the patsy that he sent to talk with me about my situation was useless and I felt like he was almost making fun of me. Told me he has not had any issues with HIS Insignia. Does this mean he was special and exempt from other consumers issues because he works for Best Buy. Not sure have to ponder that later.

I purchased a 32 inches HDTV from our local St. George, Utah Best Buy Store. I purchased it on "Black Friday" the biggest shopping day of the year after Thanksgiving. I shop locally to support the businesses in my community. I have been a regular customer of Best Buy since they opened their doors. The brand name of the television I purchased with cash money is an "Insignia."

I am a single mother of 3 and live very modest with a monthly income of $930 for a family of 4. I wanted to buy my family a TV for christmas and I thought that it would take care of each child's main gift for Christmas. Anyway, my point is that the purchase was made and the Television was discounted for the "Black Friday" sale. We had been pleased with the Insignia HDTV untill a few days ago. I went to turn the TV on and it did not come on. It acted like it was going to but it just never did. I immediately called the Best Buy I purchased it from and told them of the problem and that it had done this once before but I gave it another try and it did come on. However, this time, it hasn't come back on and it's been two days of trying.

I started to research the Insignia name and found that HDTVs have had a lot of problems and recalls since they introduced HDTV. After I made some inquiries and phone calls to the manufacturer, I was informed that they were aware of the problem that the Insignia HDTVs were having. I then asked if they were recalling them and they said no, they weren't. I asked if it was something that would fall under the 1 year limited warranty? Again, they said no. They proceeded to tell me that it was a design flaw and the problem is that the power supply goes out and it isn't covered. I asked if they know this and why they continue to manufacture and distribute a defective product willingly and knowingly to the public? No reply. I then asked if Best Buy was aware of the power supply problem and the customer service representative said that the company was made aware of the issue. However, they decided to sell a defective product knowingly and willingly to the very people who pay their wages and keep their place of business open so they have a job. The customer service representative did tell me that I could call the Best Buy where I made the purchase and see if they could offer a solution. So I did and got the same customer service, which was NONE.

Best Buy did inform me that they did discount on defective Insignia HDTV because of the problems and because it was "the biggest shopping day of the year and they didn't have another option. So both companies knew that the TVs had a power supply problem but still made the choice to push their defective product and loss onto the consumer instead of taking the loss themselves by recalling or replacing the TVs they knew were defective. I paid over $450 for my piece of crap Insignia HDTV through Best Buy and it was a lot of money for my family to spend on something that wouldn't even give us enjoyment for an entire year. How do you people sleep at night?

We are without a television now and have no chance of getting one in the near future. I have told everyone I know about the way things were not handled and I will continue to do so until it is resolved. Thank you for caring about your customers that shop at your store faithfully to help the community. It will be the last time I will shop at Best Buy. I will be there on Black Friday to warn the poor single mothers who come to buy something special for their families at Christmas because it is probably a defective item that Best Buy is trying to pass on to the customer so they don't lose out and end up in the poor house like the customers have because of bad business like yours. I am going to pursue a class action suit against both companies if anyone else has encountered the same situation.
