What is Prime Health?

Prime Health is an online telehealth weight loss clinic. It provides compounded GLP-1 medications, including semaglutide and tirzepatide. The company claims prescriptions can be written within 24 hours of signing up (for patients who are approved). It also provides ongoing support for patients via appointments with prescribing clinicians.

Prime Health is available in every state except Louisiana.

How does Prime Health work?

Prime Health follows a very simple three-step process to get new patients started:

  1. You take a quiz to help determine if you qualify for GLP-1 treatment with Prime Health.
  2. A clinician will review your information and health history and prescribe an appropriate medication. The company claims you’ll receive a prescription within 24 hours.
  3. Once paid for, your medication will ship within 48 hours and should arrive at your door within seven days.

After this initial process, patients have ongoing access to a care team and clinicians to answer questions and provide support. There’s no extra cost to consult with a clinician.

Prime Health weight loss medications

Prime Health prescribes compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide.

  • Semaglutide: This is a GLP-1 medication that’s taken as a weekly injection. It’s the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy.
  • Tirzepatide: Like semaglutide, this is a GLP-1 medication taken as a weekly injection. It’s the active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound. It can be more effective than semaglutide, but it’s also usually more expensive.

Company continually charged me $398.99 every month when I only received one vial of weight loss medication. I only spoke to their provider one time. They did not make me aware that this was a subscription service.

      Reviewed Oct. 29, 2025

Terrible experience, I canceled months ago and continue trying to cancel. Their customer service (refunds & billing department is terrible). They keep charging me despite me confirming cancelation multiple times which has now added up to thousands of dollars (without even receiving the medication). I'm now having to dispute this with my bank.
