I can’t hear the TV when they place music. I contacted ReSound and got hearing aids for both ears. I did research. And I went to Costco, and ReSound was cheaper than anybody else. The sales representatives were great too. They're very thorough. I'm really impressed with the size of the hearing aids. They're very small. Most of the time, it works well. It depends on what setting you put it on. It’s like sometimes if I have it on speech clarity and we’re eating dinner, and someone's putting the pots and pans away, it’s really loud. But I told the guy from ReSound about it, and he toned it down. And it’s still a little loud, but I don’t have another appointment with him for a couple of months. So, I’ll tell him about it. I’m pleased with my ReSound. It helps me hear what I’m missing on the TV.

I had significant hearing loss on both ears and Costco recommended ReSound to me. My hearing improved since using them but there was a program update and it has made life far more difficult for me. If I have my hearing aids in and I look at the ReSound application, in many cases, I find that this application is not turned on and I have to hit the button to turn it on. I’m not happy with the fact that it turns off. I don’t like what they did in making what worked well into something that I’m not sure when it’s working and when it’s not.

I have been a hearing aid user since 1994...25 years and I have NEVER had as much trouble with hearing aids as I have these!!! I have molds rather than the domes because of the severe hearing loss I have as a result of Meniere's Disease. The left mold has been sent back 5 times due to loose speaker wires and speaker problems, now I am having to make another round trip of 180 miles to my audiologist because now the speaker wire in the right one is coming out!!!! Not to mention if the least little bit of sweat gets in the aid it won't work or has a TERRIBLE static noise! I am completely fed up with RESOUND!!!! They have to be sent off to be repaired. They are then gone for 2 1/2 weeks. I have to work and if I can't hear I can't work!!! NO MORE RESOUND FOR ME!!!! Miss my Oticon's!!!!

I purchased the ReSound hearing aid to help me hear better. I DO NOT have an iPhone, so that part doesn't do me any good! The aid does not work as it should! The seller told me to try them for a while, get used to them. Giving the benefit of doubt, I tried, and continue to try. It's been a year now, I have went back for adjusting. While they do amplify a little, I still cannot hear well with them... I have two, over $6000 worth! I hear what sound like my fingers in my ears, amplified. The soft tips were vented to help with the "finger in ear" sound. It does help a little with that part. If I were to purchase again, I would not purchase the ReSound. I do not have the money to throw away, which I feel that I did with these. I hope my review helps others from making the same mistake.

The Smart 3D software is abysmal. I use an Android phone. I have been talking to ReSound Support for almost a year about quirks, problems and failures. Well, these guys are experts! Experts at dodging the questions; experts at blaming everyone for their failures. They have no helpful answers at all. They take no responsibility for anything and give out “buckets” of erroneous information.
Go back to your hearing professional; he must have set you up wrong. Hardware is the problem. Replace the hearing aids and the same problem. Oh, he must not have paired the devices correctly. He should set up a completely new profile. He had already done so. Still does not work. Oh. Must be your phone. Try another phone. Same problem. ”No one else is having this problem.” Check out the reviews on Google and Apple store. The only good thing is that the Hearing Aids work quite well. The supporting app that would make life BEAUTIFUL does not work at all. ReSound does not seem to care about solutions at all. It is all about avoidance.

I purchased the ReSound Linx2 model 61 in October 2016. Several months later I began having issues with the microphone or receivers. In 2 1/2 years I have made numerous trips back to where I purchased them (120 mi roundtrip), sometimes they can be fixed in house, many times been sent in for repair (?). I estimate they have been repaired at least 15 times in 2 1/2 years. I have been wearing hearing aids for 12 years and these are by far THE WORST. I have asked for them to be replaced without any luck. DON'T waste your money on ReSound.

I got a LiNX 3D Mini 61 and although I still had hearing before, it’s better with the ReSound hearing aids. I’m a veteran and the Veterans Association is the one that prescribed ReSound. When I went to Wilkes-Barre VA to get my hearing aids, they took them out of the box, put them in my ears and said, “There you go, as long as you can hear.” But there are four settings on the top where you can push the buttons and none of them were set. I’m having a heck of a time with it too right now. They don’t want me to control them. I got the app in my phone and that’s what I’m trying to do now. But all it says is to reboot the hearing aids and when I reboot them, it would say it has found the hearing aids. But that’s all it does. Then it just runs and runs. I called them this morning though, and I got an appointment for tomorrow morning. Other than that, the quality of the hearing aids is good.

My hearing loss was only 30% on the right side and on the left side, I’m deaf. I did a lot of research online and I found ReSound Hearing Aids to be the best one in technology. I like the way how it works if you need to set it up. You can do it online with the professional. And of course, I like the Bluetooth. I purchased the 7 LiNX 3D. However, I’m a little frustrated because it seems like when I’m outside and if I put my phone in my pocket, the hearing aids stop in the middle. The Bluetooth, the music, or the podcast stops. But usually, when I’m inside at home, it works better.
Also, the thing that I needed to call my professional about is that I use a lot of All-Around and the Speech clarity. I put in Listen and then I come back to All-Around, Speech clarity. For about 10 seconds, it is amazing. It’s working fine and the words are clear. But after about 10 or 15 seconds, it gets stuffy and hard to hear. When I'm also in the car, sometimes, I can’t hear other's voice but I can hear more of the tires' and engine's noises. Other than that, the hearing aids are great. On the first day that I've used the hearing aids, I was almost crying because I could hear the paper. When you change the paper in the book, there is a sound. I wasn’t hearing that before and now, I’m able to. There are a lot of small sounds that I’m actually able to hear now. I would tell a friend that ReSound Hearing Aids is a great company.

I got ReSound's LiNX Quattro for the price and from recommendation of the purveyor. I used the iPhone app quite briefly. The app's pretty pathetic. The filtering with the tunes and things used to be not working well. When I change the volumes, the volume doesn't change until you stop the motion. So it's not a gradual adjustment of the volume. You can't set a number, and then suddenly the volume changes. You set the number, the volume changes again. It could be made more instantaneous. I don't think I'd been more disappointed in a purchase in my adult life I have with the ReSound Hearing aid.
I've had multiple adjustment of the hearing aid, and each of them don't seem to improve the quality of what goes. I just recently sent the device back for a factory reset or exchange. Noises are very loud. There’s plenty of sounds like breaking glass or silverware after every adjustments. I relocated since I bought the device and it was also quite disappointing that there wasn't a more seamless transparent exchange from one provider to the other. When I went to the second provider, I had to pay another fee to make them adjust the hearing aid. I understand that must be their business model.
I also called in three separate times to ReSound to have the device worked on remotely. Four times we went to original provider and that didn't make any difference in the settings. And then I went through the 800 number. It direct me to ReSound. They made me went through a partial reset and that person was highly professional and very responsive. And then I called back, and again having problems not being resolved and the person was quite frankly just rude. When they did a full reset they really didn't prepare to tell me that when you do a reset, you're gonna lose everything on your telephone.
And then the third time I called back and the person was just more or less apathetic. There was nothing more I can do. So at this point in time, my assumption was the device was either defective, and therefore we sent it back for repair. And I think my second provider would agree that the changes they made were not showing up when we would restart the device afterwards.
The second person seemed to be very knowledgeable about ReSound, and had been trained for their cochlear implant, recently. The first person, every time I went in, they had to call ReSound and made me walk through the settings through them. They are very nice people. But all in all, there seemed to be a gap between training and application that was going on. There seemed to be a lack of consistency from the corporate level to the local user. This is going on six months. As far as I'm concerned, I would pick the device and just give it back and go buy something else. ReSound has been a waste of time.

I had moderate hearing loss and Karen, the Advanced Hearing Aid Solutions owner, provided me with all kinds of information that I requested about ReSound, the Danish company, and I was overwhelmed by what I found. She was absolutely wonderful and very high on the list. So, I decided to get a Quattro 9. Since then, everything has been great. Controlling them with the app on the iPhone is just unbelievable. If we go to a concert or a restaurant, I take advantage of it to shut out all the extraneous noise and just focus on the party at the table. I also have the mini mic which is a great tool. ReSound is is top-notch. It's superior compared to Phonak which I had 10 years ago. I have recommended ReSound to several people and to some that have hearing aids and are very unhappy with them. In fact, a neighbor who visited Karen a couple of days ago bought hearing aids right on the spot and she’s been very happy.

I had moderate hearing loss and bought ReSound hearing aids that work with a Bluetooth telephone. Before we got it, it seemed like I don't hear as good. I like the app. The only problem I have is I'm on oxygen, and I swear a lot, especially if my oxygen level drops and it makes the receiver react. I probably had the receiver replaced maybe every two months.

Bluetooth technology for my iPhone, iPad, etc. They are rechargeable so no replacing batteries, and I can control the sound from my phone. Thank you VA for providing top of the line equipment.

I've had a gradual hearing loss for years and I'm 72 years old now. I worked about 26 years in heavy industry around gas carbons so it was a natural hearing loss. I lived in Little Rock, Arkansas at the time and I had an annual hearing test after I retired about four years ago. The clinic there recommended the ReSound hearing aids and I got that one.
The customer service was great. They had a no-interest financing program so I was able to pay them out then. Even though that I did then, and I still think they're outrageously expensive but it is what it is. They've been very helpful as well. I had some difficulty with one of the hearing aids a short time after I bought them and it basically just quit working all together. They fooled around with it some at their lab, but then they ended up sending it in to the factory where they replaced it or rebuilt it and sent it back. There's actually a clinic here in Norman, Oklahoma where we live now. I had the little wire that goes from the speaker to the hearing part that goes in the ear and the clinic replaced that little wire for me at $95. Aside from that, the hearing aids work well and it improved my quality of life.
I hear well and I can function without hearing aids but I really have trouble with background noises and if I'm in a big room with a lot of people, I miss an awful lot of that sort of thing. The aids are helpful in group settings. I usually put them on if I'm going anywhere or in the evenings. When my wife and I watch TV, I always wear them. We bought the ZVOX of SoundBars to go with the TV. It has an auto audio function that accentuates the narrative and takes all the background noise out and that's when the hearing aids help me quite a lot. My wife is a bit hard of hearing as well, and she has ReSounds too. Without that, we have the closed captioning and we have to read lots on there across the room.
My hearing aids are tied to my iPhone as well, so I can manipulate the volumes and then kinda improve the settings depending on where I am with that and that's very useful. I've been perfectly satisfied with ReSound. It's a good product and I have no complaints at all. I seriously wish the market in general was a little more affordable but I wouldn't have any reason to go anywhere else. They've done well by me.

I had Siemens for about four years when we were in Arizona. We moved to South Carolina and my hearing was getting worse, so I went to an ENT doctor and then the audiologist in his office talked about ReSound and I ended up getting that. I dealt with the local office here in Bluffton, South Carolina who got the hearing aids from ReSound. I had a problem with my hearing aids and ReSound replaced it. The company through which I bought it had a 45-day trial period, which I'm still in that. If I don't like them, I can return them to get my money back. I've just had a little bit of a problem with crackling sounds in one of them which is sometimes annoying. I also told the technician where I'm going that the hearing aids didn't seem as sturdy as the Siemens that I had. When I grab and put the dome in my ear, the whole unit doesn't seem all that solid although it seems to be functioning okay. For the most part, the hearing aids have been fairly good.

My hearing loss was moderate to severe and I liked that ReSound was a pioneer with the connection to the iPhone. I’m a big proponent of iPhone and I like the way that they connect. I'm able to control the volume and the different settings I'm in. I can also adjust my hearing aids to make changes to the environment that I found myself in and very easily by using the iPhone.
I assumed that all ReSound hearing aids would take rechargeable batteries and someone purchased a ReSound for me as a gift. They call them doors that come with zinc batteries. However, when I took them to my audiologist, they gave me the bad news that rechargeable batteries couldn't be used with my hearing aids. Still, I wouldn’t reject ReSound since I should done more research myself to understand that not every ReSound hearing aid is the same. Their current model, Quattro, uses rechargeable batteries but only some of them do with the one that I purchased. No one made me aware of it, so it was not ReSound's fault. You gotta shop around and investigate as to what’s available for your hearing loss. Another factor to consider is having a good audiologist and I’m very happy with where I’m serviced which is at the Audiology Department at Hackensack Costco.

My ReSound Linx2 hearing aids come from Veterans Affairs, and were a distinct improvement over my older Siemens hearing aids. I've worn them for 2 years, but just recently I've had problems with other phones taking over the bluetooth connection to my hearing aids. There doesn't appear to be any way I have discovered to prevent it. I've emailed ReSound, but of course was ignored. It's happening more frequently lately; I was even hacked on the NJ Turnpike in a moving car. With this happening many (10 or more) times a day, I've stopped wearing the hearing aids rather than put up with the changing programs and constant dinging. I'm asking the VA for another manufacturer, these are not working for me.

I sent the below email to ReSound on May 30th 2018 and still I've heard nothing from them. I've even stayed on hold for hours trying to contact them by phone with no results as well. It seems that all they are interested in is sales not customer satisfaction. "I bought my ReSound LiNX hearing aids at Audio ** in Oklahoma City a little over 2 years ago. I’ve had nothing but problems with them from the beginning. After about a year in and having so many problems I asked for my money back and Dr. ** said he could change them out for a more robust model, and I agreed. (I shouldn’t have.) They were NOT more robust and I continue to have the same problems with them.
I no longer live in the area so getting them in to be fixed is a real pain in the rear. I paid a premium over $6000.00 for these pieces of junk and would really like to get my money back or at least most of it so I can go elsewhere and get a set that will work. I bought these to be able to hear and these pieces of junk continue to turn themselves off every time I try to have a conversation or walk by a running car or any time I’m somewhere where it’s louder than a whisper. These have never been right from the beginning and I’ll never purchase this brand again, nor will I promote them.
I’m sure an attorney could get me my money back under the Oklahoma Lemon law but I don’t have the funds to obtain such services. I’ve searched the forums and have exhausted all suggestions and remedy’s to correct the issues such as trying different brands of batteries, cleaning suggestions, and so forth with no positive results." An unhappy customer.

My father was visiting from India and all of a sudden, he could listen very less with his hearing aids. We got in touch with one of the ReSound dealers here and we went to them. We got an appointment and the rep had a look at the device but there was no testing mechanism. Some cables were missing because this model was like two and a half years old, so he did not have those instrument or some set-up that needs to be connected to the device. The rep cleaned the device and tried to remove the moisture that was there. It was improved for one week but the issue was still persistent. My father is going back to India and show that device to the agent over there and see what can be done after that.

My wife has around 80% hearing loss and I got the Verso 9 from ReSound. There was a good salesman here in our town that sold it to us. My experience with ReSound has been terrible though. They lost one store that sold their product here in Bakersfield and I was trying to get some help because my wife’s hearing aid needed adjustment and needed to be fixed but ReSound said that I would have to drive to Los Angeles to get it done. I asked if I can send the hearing aids and they said no.
We spent $6,000 on hearing aids that we can fix if we wanna drive two hours one way and then leave them there and send them in and drive another two hours. Also, it took me a long time to get somebody from ReSound customer service to respond to me. When they did respond to me, it was like “too bad, you choose that.” I wasn’t very pleased with their customer service at all and we would never purchase another one of their products.

I could get by with a lot of, “What? Whats?” without hearing aids, but I certainly needed one as I had to have things loud and I was missing out on some conversations and things. I have a set of hearing aids that I got from an insurance company, but they were not working really well for me. They were not comfortable and the sound quality was not very good, so I ended up not wearing them.
I went into an eyeglass store and a guy was there. He had a ReSound hearing aids and he told me a couple of things about it that had me very interested. He said that it is connected to his iPhone. He can adjust the volume and change the treble and the base. He can also change to different kinds of settings on his iPhone, which seems pretty cool. He also said that there are speakers in the part that goes in the ear, as opposed to some hearing aids that create a sound in the hearing aid itself and transmit it to a tube. That seemed to make a lot more sense to me in terms of being like almost an earbud, where it has the speaker right in your ear.
I ended up getting the ReSound and they were actually as I thought. They are very comfortable and I have no trouble wearing them. The two things that I like the most are the design of it with the speaker and the telephone connection capability to adjust it. It’s pretty cool. The quality of the sound is much better, so they are working out really well. I get what I pay for and it’s certainly worth it. The other ones were rather inexpensive, but they didn’t work so well. I’m really happy I have it and it has improved the quality of my life. I’m very satisfied, overall, with everything. People around me are much happier. I don’t have the TV so loud and I don’t say “what” so much.

I’ve had my Resound hearing aids for a year and couldn’t be happier. I’m so sad for those who bought theirs from an audiologist rather than from Costco. I cringe when I see that people have paid $5-7000. My pair from Costco cost $2800. That includes a 60 day no questions asked return policy, a three year warranty, free replacement for each if lost, no cost cleaning and adjustments. There have been some issues with coordinating with iPhone iOS upgrades, but each has been resolved with time. I love controlling them with my phone or Apple Watch. I've noticed other users appear to be having quality issues, but this is not (yet?) my experience. I'm over 60 y.o. and the phone app is not a challenge to use. Battery life is about 5 days. I was having trouble making my previous hearing aids work with my phone. I did some research to find out which one would work with my iPhone and ReSound seemed to be one who was the best. There wasn't any that paired right up with the iPhone as smooth and seamlessly as ReSound did. I got the behind-the-ear hearing aids from them and there's an app that goes on my phone that lets me control the volume and have some specialized programs that I can link right directly to the hearing aids.
I bought the hearing aids in Lake Havasu. When I got to Idaho, I was having some problems, so I found the local people that work on them. They did the job and they fixed them. The hearing aids allowed me to be able to do business and talk on the phone, where before I had trouble hearing and understanding what people were saying. But because of the way the ReSound is set up, it goes not through the speaker on the phone, but directly into my hearing aids, so I hear much better. I've told several people about ReSound.

I've had ReSound hearing aids for several years now. They're behind the ear and I also use the iPhone app with the phone clip. The app does the job but it could be more robust. If I have my Bluetooth turned on, anything that comes into my phone that makes a normal noise like a text message or email, the hearing aids cut out. I hear the tone and then they come back on and there's no way to silence that without actually turning it off on my phone itself. So, I'd have to turn off all notifications all the time on my phone in order to not hear that.
I like ReSound's hearing aids, the phone clip, and the app. But it's the whole gotta pay a couple hundred dollars every time you go in to get any adjustment made, and if the doctor doesn't get them right, they're gonna charge you again to come back. Though it seems it's the industry standard. The hearing aid is a really expensive product and really expensive to maintain.

The interesting thing was that the lady I talked to didn't seem to know very much about hearing aids. She didn't know whether they could or couldn't be converted, or if they did or didn't have a rechargeable battery hearing aid. They need to get someone who knows about their hearing aids. I originally purchased my ReSound hearing aids on the premise to link with my android phone. My previous review in 2016 chronicles the poor performing phone clip. In May of 2017 I purchased an iPhone 7 which ReSound claimed would link directly to my hearing aids. From day one I have a persistent problem of the sound not connecting on phone calls, also with streaming sound from apps, with delays from 10-45 seconds. The caller can hear me but I cannot hear the caller.
Apple is working on this problem and acknowledges that there are hundreds of ReSound hearing aid users that are having the same problem. I have installed new update software versions but nothing works. ReSound just says, “Sorry this is a phone problem not our problem.” My audiologist just told me I should consider buying new hearing aids as my 3 1/2 yr old hearing aids were the first models to have connectivity with iPhones and would probably never work right. Right, $4,700 in 2016 + $7,500 in 2018 = $11,000. I think not.

I bought the ReSound hearing aids in February of 2017. At first, they seemed like a godsend. After a couple of months, I had to start going back to have them turned up. Afterwards it didn’t even seem like they had been turned up. I went back in within a few months of purchase numerous times. The audiologist finally changed the wiring to one that she said was more powerful but the problem with not hearing clearly still existed. The audiologist also changed the tips several times. Still the issue existed so she finally molded my ear and made me a pair of new earpieces which I was charged $100 for.
Now I continue to still have issues with the Bluetooth not staying connected, it not picking up phone calls, it turning up or down on its own, and when connecting to the TV it continually kicks out or only one hearing aid will work, and the list just goes on. I gave $5500 for the hearing aids and $400 for the TV connector. I have had these hearing aids for about 18 months and continue to have problems with them. Right now I have one of the hearing aids going out constantly and not working at all along with all the other problems listed.
My previous hearing aids costed $3000 and lasted for five years before I had any issues what so ever. At the cost of the ReSound hearing aids, I expected to get at the very least the same amount of trouble-free wear as my previous hearing aids. ReSound is Definitely not a quality hearing aid and not worth the high price. I will never buy another product from them again.

I purchased my first hearing aids which the dealer recommended should be Resound. From the first month I had them there was nothing but problems with them. The mic had to be replaced constantly. I would say every 6 weeks one side or the other would go down. I also would like to say that my Audiologist was not a very good one or helpful. He also tried to recommend that I buy the new improved Resound Aids. I went to another Audiologist, got a pair of Phonak hearing aids and never looked back. She explained everything thoroughly that the other fellow couldn't be bothered!

The only thing I've had problems with is the technology; ReSound is, maybe, a little ahead of the iPhone. It went on demo mode and I couldn't get it off. Then, all of a sudden, it went on by itself a day later. I was at ReSound's office yesterday and there were three people that have gone through the same thing. But Christie was marvelous! She took time. She knew what she was doing. She has been doing it long enough that you know when she gets done, it is gonna be correct. I'm just concerned that I still have not received the batteries that they were supposed to send me about four weeks ago.

I purchased my ReSound hearing aids in July 2016. Right off the bat every time I’d work outside and sweat my hearing aids would first signal low battery then go dead. New batteries did not help. I’d have to leave them out overnight for them to dry out and then they would work until I’d sweet again. I’m an outdoor person so I do work up a sweat. The audiologist would say ReSound is having an issue with these but won’t admit it. Finally a year ReSound supposedly fix the problem and I got a new set never mind I had them set in 6 times already. The new set works better but I still have to send them in on an average of every 6 weeks.
I just got them back again Friday and within 30 hours the left one quit because of sweat just like the old ones. Here it is 4 days later and they have quit 3 times. Back to the audiologist again to have one set in. I’m hoping they are still under warranty. I will NEVER buy another ReSound product and I do everything I can to discourage anyone from buying them. They do not honor the products. I can’t afford close to 6,000.00 every 2 year. I’ve had other issues with them cutting in and out on phone calls and listening to internet audio sounds. Buyer beware!

Purchased in June 2017. By March 2018, one hearing aid had been "rebuilt" twice and replaced once. It still has the same problem, after 1-2 weeks it periodically lowers the volume to where I cannot hear it under normal conditions/background noise. Turning it off and then back on will sometimes correct the problem, most times it will not. My audiologist has witnessed the problem while the hearing aid was connected to her computer for checking the programming. Now ReSound says it will not repair or replace the hearing aid! I've used Starkey hearing aids (issued by the VA) for 19 years. This year the VA issued me ReSound with a 3D App for my iPhone. First - you don't need to own an iPhone to use these hearing aids. If you have an iPhone it provides a graphic interface that makes it easier to use and it links to the iPhone for music and phone calls, apps, etc. (don't know about Androids). The audiologist also pre-programmed my hearing aids so I can do single, double or triple taps on the hearing aids to change the settings. I've only had these hearing aids for 24 hours, and so far I'm impressed with the capabilities and the ability to tailor for my hearing and environment. I plan to update this in a week or so.

Resound Hearing is the first set of hearing aids I've ever had. When I'm using my phone and I've got it on the phone symbol, every once in a while, the bell starts to go off and it destabilizes the phone. Then I get silenced between the right ear and the left ear. I took the hearing aids in to the VA technician up in Reno and he couldn't find what was going on. It seemed to work fine but we were only dealing in very close proximity with each other. Then I found out that you can't leave the phone program on all around and expect it to jump over to the phone symbol that's ringing around my pocket and be clear. The problem may be in the programming of the phone and not on the hearing aids themselves.
Other than that, Resound did a wonderful job making the hearing aids, though the batteries only last three and a half days. My hearing has been wonderful since having it and they're absolutely comfortable. I wear them from 6:30 in the morning until I go to bed at night. Also, the audiologist did a wonderful job on the fitting as well and I already recommended Resound Hearing to several people.

I wasn't really aware that I had a significant hearing loss, but the moment I put these hearing aids on in the morning, I'm suddenly aware of the sounds that I wasn't hearing until that moment. Also, the Bluetooth is a fun toy and I can control it through my phone, which is very useful. The hearing aids that I have prior to these weren't comfortable, so I intended not to wear them. But with the Resound Hearing aids, I put them on in the morning and take them off before I go to bed and I'm not even aware of them in between. I would recommend them.

I'll either switch to speech clarity if everybody's in front of me or I switch to the restaurant all around if I'm in the middle of the group, and I control the volume. I'll also increase the speech clarity when I'm watching TV in the evening. My hearing is definitely better with Resound Hearing. If I hadn't been introduced to them years ago when I started wearing hearing aids, I would think the cost was very high but actually, I was delighted with how reasonable the cost was. I’ve had substantial partial hearing loss and tinnitus in my right ear that was very bad. I started with another provider. We looked at several different hearing aids and what I really like about the ReSound Hearing Aids was the control that I could have with the app on my phone. The app is extremely useful. I can control the volume for my right and/or left ears equally. Also, I can adjust the tinnitus for six different types of sound. It generates the white noise options for my tinnitus which provides relief.
This came through TruHearing and the price was substantially discounted. I got $2,300 invested in ReSound Hearing Aids from my insurance benefit and if I didn't have that, they would’ve been about $5,400. I believe that the markup on the hearing aids is unbelievable and I’m really disappointed with that because these are very useful items. They’ve introduced me to a lot of things that I have not heard. And at $5,000, that’s not an affordable appliance. There's a lot of technology that goes into it but when it comes right down to it, it’s a microprocessor and the technology just keeps evolving, getting better and easier and they’re not worth what they cost. But the ease of use and maintenance of ReSound Hearing Aids is simple and I’m getting great battery life out of them. It’s one of the top of the line hearing aids out there and it’s working for me. Despite many complaints I’ve read here, I love my 2-month-old Over-The-Ear aids. I travel a lot and I need reliable, simple, good sound quality. So far great. The audiologist is 1 mile from my house. Great service. Paid $125 for earmolds that DON’T stain. Unlike 2 sets of Siemens I have had. I stream music, FM radio, movies, and phone calls, without a dongle. Batteries (13s) last 4 days to a week and these puppies are on Bluetooth (iPhone app) 9-14 hours a day. Just the phone call capability is worth it. Siemens aids required me to pull aid from left ear (when I NOTICED a call in) to hear without feedback. As a result over 5 years I dropped two aids. One went down a storm drain and another was stepped on. No more. And FIND MY HEARING AID? This is part of the app and for sure will come in handy at some point.
After my first “tuneup” at audiologist to punch up treble a bit - something you need to do after ears have adjusted to hearing so well, the 3D effect really is outstanding. Oh, and audiologist sent a year’s supply of batteries. I have 1 repair and 1 loss for each aid package deal at way reduced rate. Also tips on battery management. When you hear battery getting low beeps signal, unseal a new battery and let it initiate for two hours or so before installing you’ll get another day or more out of it. Also I set my aids (batteries removed) or at least off with door open on my computer hard drive to keep that nasty moisture at bay. Another advantage the self-adjusting is great for is that you can wear your aids with large over-the-head earphones from computer with NO feedback. I”ll see how these aids hold up (or don’t) but for now these change my life.

ReSounds are clearly made for old people who don't use smartphones or technology. First of all, many of the features and app screens shown in the owner's manual don't actually exist on the Android application. They're working on that, they say.
If you were thinking about being able to use your hearing aids while using most of your smartphone audio functions like text to speech, Google Maps driving directions, etc., forget it. You'll have to buy the Phoneclip+ which isn't really a problem. The problem is that the software in the phone clip disconnects from the hearing aids after every audio transmission and when it reconnects, it first must play a "bong-bong" tone that cuts off the first 3-4 seconds of your map directions. I returned the Phoneclip+. No the bong-bong tone is not able to be turned off.

The Multi Mics are nice only if there is no other ambient noise in the room and must be on all-around mode to get full reception. Pros: More features, ReSound's App compatible with iPhone. Cons: poor speech recognition/discrimination pickup, garbled sounds, mutes and drops speech and sounds, lots of ambient noise interference that blocks and distorts the speakers' speech and voice while they are speaking (orally) to you. However, in more challenging environments, no matter how much I fuss with the settings, I get frustrated and cannot hear. I am in my early fifties, and people in their 80's with hearing aids out hear me. Large, cavernous rooms with mumbly speakers don't work.
Cars with loud engine noise, or where I am in the back and cannot see lips... also bad. Most frustrating, when I walk I like to listen to podcasts or music and stream it through my hearing aids. However, the sound bounces from the left to the right side, sometimes going out entirely. I have gone into my audiologist twice about this and she can't figure it out. Unfortunately, I find that the volume setting is erratic. It will suddenly jump to very low or very high volume for no apparent reason. The company technical representative was worthless and my audiologist tried and failed on several occasions to adjust the aids both with and without discussing it with the ReSound technicians.
I cannot prove it scientifically, but it is my distinct impression that the clarity of my hearing and my ability to understand words even at high volumes is much worse than it was with the Phonak instruments I just replaced. I virtually never understand what is being said to me the first time it is said. I constantly have to ask people to repeat what they are saying.
Then, while the Phonak instruments worked well with the Icom necklace for both telephone and TV, the ReSound aids do not work with the provided necklace. I'm told that it is incompatible with the iPhone so I no longer use the PhoneClip and must instead hold the phone to my mouth to speak. I can hear the conversation well through the hearing aids, but must hold the phone for the caller to hear me. Phonak worked through the necklace even with the phone in my pocket. It is also a pain to have to grab my phone every time I want to adjust the hearing aids, but the button and volume control in the hearing aids are difficult to use correctly. The program button has a delay build in so it must be held for several seconds to work.

ReSound was recommended by an audiologist in Big Bear Lake. I’ve had Siemens before and two pairs of Phonak. All those required me to have something hanging around my neck but ReSound doesn’t and I appreciate that. I had to move in October last year when my wife developed a brain tumor so I had to continue down here in the Covina area with a doctor of audiology. I asked for ReSound in-the-ear versions and they were the best available. I have an iPhone and I have the hearing aid app on it. I also got the remote control because I don’t like to fiddle with the phone if I’m hearing a symphony or attending a concert and I’m listening to the TV through that connection accessory that transmits to my hearing aids from the television.
ReSound is much better than Phonak or Siemens except for the left hearing aid which I sometimes wish I could send back. I had one and it hurt my ear. It was too tight. The reps probably put too much force and then the hearing aid entered the ear canal. We sent that one back and they made another impression and we got another one. The second printing was a little on the light side and almost fell out. It was done by the same audiologist, and I’m tempted to ask this audiologist to make another impression and order another left hearing aid because it seems to have some quality difference in the sound in my left ear. I’m still having a little trouble with the left hearing aid and we’re working on it, but it's improved.
I’m an oncologist and cancer specialist so I need to hear, especially during an operation, so the hearing aids have definitely benefited my quality of life. I get new hearing aids about every two years for the heck of it and I’ll probably get another pair of ReSound. I’m fortunate enough to be able to buy two pairs at a time if I need it. Most hearing aid companies offer a discount and I was pleased to get one. But I have trouble when I call hearing aid companies. I’d like to be able to talk to somebody about my hearing aids and get some input from them. But it seems like I have to go to an audiologist and I can’t go to the company itself. Overall hearing aids will never be perfect but I always recommend ReSound. It’s the best of all the hearing aids I've had so far.

My friend and I were talking about the fact that we couldn’t hear anymore and he had gotten hearing aids from ReSound and loved them. He said nothing but great things about ReSound so I thought if he likes them, I probably would like them too. When I got home, I looked ReSound up online and looked in the area on the web that's close. I had three choices, picked one of them, set up an appointment and went in. I got the behind-the-ear hearing aids that you control with your iPhone. I use my iPhone app daily and it's been fine. I love the hearing aids. As a matter of fact, I forget I got them in and I almost got in the shower a couple of times with them. The higher octave of hearing is what I was impaired with. And with these hearing aids, I don’t say, “Huh?” quite like I used to. It's nice to hear things that I've forgotten and that I didn’t hear anymore.
The person at Hearing Healthcare in Myrtle Beach was fantastic. She did a great job. She‘s really pleasant, thorough and explained everything. As a matter of fact, I sent my neighbor there and got a set of ReSound hearing aids as well. The cost of them is always going to take your breath away but they do exactly what I wanted them to do and what they said they would do so that’s worth it in the long run.

I rented a pair of hearing aids from other brands before but Resound Hearing Aids work better. I got the LiNX2 which came in the mail from Kentucky and I took them to the hearing consultant here. The cost was outstanding because I got them through free source, not retail. But they set up the app on my phone which helped a lot. I had it set up to my favorites so when I do different things, it changes. I also have a pair of wireless headphones that I use at home when I’m in bed. Overall I like my Resound Hearing Aids a lot. My life is a lot better now and my wife likes that I can hear her.

I love my ReSound hearing aids. I've been using Bluetooth headphones to listen to my TV and computer audio. However, I was getting annoying feedback on my hearing aids. My provider suggested that I try the ReSound TV Streamer 2. I tried it with my TV and the sound was horrible so I gave up and moved on to my computer. The sound was fine but I could no longer get on the Internet thru WiFi. I discovered in both cases, since I have practically WiFi of everything that the Streamer interfered with the WiFi signals. In order to use the Streamer with my computer, I had to turn off WiFi and connect the computer with an Ethernet cable to my router to get both to work.
I can not turn off the WiFi from the router as I have backup hard drives collecting data from my computers and more than one person is using WiFi. Also, we have our smartphones and Kindle devices connected to WiFi. There must be some way to change the channel that the Streamer uses but I have not had any luck finding out how.

I tried to reach ReSound because the dealer that I purchased my hearing aid from had sent it to them for repairs and it was never returned to me. I tried to reach the dealer (fixyourears.com) and he did not respond to my calls. When I spoke to ReSound's Customer Service department, first they said they had never received it. Then they said they did receive it but were waiting for the dealer to call them back. This has been going on for over a month and I must say the hearing aid industry ranks right up there with used car dealers, snake oil salesmen and other unethical businesses that prey on the elderly and other disadvantaged people. I paid over $5,000 for these hearing aids, and it looks like I am going to have to buy new ones because the industry is full of greedy charlatans.

I had it for about three weeks then I switched back over to the Widex. I wasn't dissatisfied with the ReSound, I just prefer the Widex. It seems like it is a better hearing aid to me. There is more control with the Widex than with the ReSound. I reckon I am just used to its app and I like that better.

My family had purchased and used Resound hearing aids before. I went with them as well. Having tinnitus, the LiNX2 that I got from Resound was very good. Being able to adjust the volume is nice. I also like the Bluetooth capability and the iPhone app is very intuitive. Resound is pretty comfortable until you've had it on for four or five hours. But then, wearing anything longer than that becomes uncomfortable, no matter what it is. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

First, let me state that I have been hard of hearing since I was a toddler and was officially diagnosed and given hearing aids in 1995 and I have worn a variety of different brands, including Widex, Phonak, Oticon and now ReSound. I got the ReSound ENZO hearing aids from my audiologist's recommendation and they are the WORST hearing aids that I have ever had.
They have all kinds of great apps and features, but they are awful at the one thing you actually need them to do, which is "be a good hearing aid". Basically, they fall short in every important category. They suck outside. They have terrible wind cancellation, to the point where if there's any wind blowing, I need to tilt my head to avoid having everything drowned out by howling wind noises. They also cannot get wet, even in the slightest bit. So if you're outside and it's raining at all and drop happens to fall on your hearing aid (seriously... all it takes is *A* drop), it will freak out and all the sound will be distorted or it will crap out completely until you can go screw around with it and try and dry it off. This leads me to my next point.
You can't get sweat on them. If they get a little bit of sweat on them, they will crap out and turn off for some undetermined amount of time until they get suitably dry... whenever that is. This wouldn't be a problem, if I wasn't 27 and still like to go outside and you know, live life, which unfortunately may mean having to sweat a little bit. Bluetooth accessory sound quality SUCKS. The quality of the Bluetooth sound is mediocre at best and most of the time it just sounds super cheap and tinny.
If you don't have the device situated perfectly between your ears (i.e. you need to turn your head or something) the sound drops out in one ear until you rearrange it. Also, the microphone on the Bluetooth device is absolutely awful and if you wear it under your shirt, it picks up all kinds of rustling and no one can hear you and if you wear it outside your shirt, it picks up all the ambient noise and... no one can hear you... so I basically can't use it. All in all, considering the price tag on these things, I would expect them to be good hearing aids first and have cool features second, but it seems that they opted to make all the "cool features" the selling point and neglected to address the important parts. Don't waste your money.

I was referred to the EMT at the Womack Army Medical Center where I was given the ReSound hearing aids with the remote. I can tell the difference when I use them, from the time I put them in to the time I take them off. I also like the remote feature. You can answer your phone when you're in a crowd or in a meeting, and if you don't want to listen to whoever's speaking then you can listen to your phone music using the Android app. I just want the design to be a little better. When I take the little rubber ear pieces off ever so often to clean and change the filter, they rip or they get stuck in the ear because they don't stay on tight enough. ReSound could use a different kind of material for the end towards the filter, or a little stronger or thicker at that end.

I had a pair of hearing aids before that were not ReSound. My previous audiologist had some experience on her and she knew how to tune the hearing aids. She'd know what I was talking about when I go to her, tweak the hearing aids a bit then I could hear great. She kept it that way until I lost one of them and replaced them with ReSound.
With ReSound, I have had a sour experience. The audiologist at the place that I go to now just graduated from college and has no idea how to do what I describe. I went in there one time and told her my left hearing aid was whistling, and she had no idea what to do to the hearing aid to make it quit doing that. We eventually sent it back to ReSound all three separate times and they rebuilt it. It turned out it was something to do with a part in the hearing aid and they replaced it. And so, with that replacement, I got rid of the whistling.
Right now, every time I speak there's a squeak in my hearing aid. There is a way that my audiologist would be able to remove that sound, and I know because the lady that I had first could do it. But I've had this squeak for four weeks and my new audiologist doesn't know how to fix it because she's not experienced enough in the ReSound software. It's honestly not her fault; she just hasn't been trained enough. You could know all the book knowledge about how to operate, but if you don't have the application from experience it's of no use. Everybody has to climb that hill, but she needs somebody to pull her by the hand up the hill instead of her staggering up the hill by herself. She's not gonna get there from here by doing herself.
I even called ReSound themselves and they were trying to get me in to another dealership. But their efforts were like a little bird fluttering around up in the sky. So, I just stopped calling the dealership. The only ReSound dealership I know of is this one and I would tell others whatever they do, not to buy these because they don't know how to service them. At times, I take the hearing aids out and say I can do without them and be better off. But I spent a lot of money and that is not good. It's not fair to ReSound nor to me.

I got the LiNX2 from ReSound Hearing Aids. I liked and trusted the people I dealt with at the hearing aid center. They're the ones that measured my hearing and the ones that I believed in. They're the ones that said, "Use this one. It's probably better." I liked them so much that I let them decide for me and I went with what they wanted. I use my hearing aids with my iPhone and leave it in the same mode all the time. Other than being able to go from all-around mode to restaurant mode, there's no big deal to having it via wireless. However, the prices of these hearing aids are ridiculous. Fortunately for me, money is not an issue, but if I wasn’t as lucky as I am to have the financial resources, I don’t know how anybody spends this much money on one of ReSound's products.

I saw the doctor first, had a hearing test, went to the provider’s office, and he went ahead and ordered the hearing aids. I liked that I was able to do that. So far, my experience with Resound has been so good. I also like that I got a remote with them to change programs and mute them. And when one of the speaker wires went bad, it was replaced under warranty. However, the battery is a size 13 and it’s supposed to last a long time, but I’m lucky to get a week out of them.

My fingers can't find the buttons in the app. Also, it would be great if they could embed the technology to charge the device instead of replacing batteries. And they could make the colored dot that differentiates between the right and left ear much bigger, too.

Resound LINX2 Mini-Rics OK then failed. I was fitted with these a year ago, by the VA, and was pleased with them at first. I had to trade my Blackberry for an iPhone 5 to control the hearing aids, the iPhone has been terrible, battery life is pathetic. A couple of months ago the Hearing Aids started having intermittent problems. I saw my audiologist at the VA. He did some programming tweaks and they seemed fine again. Then they started having problems, they dropped out and in intermittently and it was distracting and annoying. I went to see the audiologist again, he did some tweaks and they were still acting up. Just before I was done with the visit the left hearing aid started screeching in my ear (sounded like a FAX machine) I pulled it out quickly and then, a minute later, the right hearing aid did the same. The audiologist sent them back for repairs. I am not satisfied with these hearing aids and could not recommend them for others.

I have tried some hearing aids from a different company and they did exactly what I wanted them to do in their office. Then, when ReSound called, I got a pair of the behind-the-ear style from them to compare. I ordered a gray color and they didn't have another pair so I just took the beige ones because we were moving on a trip and I needed them. They're comfortable and a lot cheaper than others. They also seemed to be doing what the other brand was doing at the time. But in the long run, I realized I made a mistake and spent $4,000 for almost nothing.
They make everything louder including the background noise which is what I'm having trouble with. I can go without hearings aids all day and until the evening. But when I sit down and decide to watch TV, I realize I need them when my wife tells me to turn the TV down. When I put them in, I turn the TV down and everything is fine. But if she was in the kitchen and start doing things, then I had to turn it back up. It made the background noisier. They even set me up with an amplifying thing so I could hear the television better. But the only trouble is if I plug that unit into my TV, I could hear the TV perfectly but nobody else can hear it because it shuts the speakers off.
Then I had to send the hearing aids back because one of them was eating up batteries. In two days, the batteries could go on dead. For the first three years ReSound is furnishing the batteries but still it's ridiculous to have to change them every three or two days. So I contacted them and sent the hearing aids back so they could see what was wrong with them. They corrected that quite a bit and now the hearing aids last for about four days.
They also made some adjustments because I could hear better with the different noises. But I have to turn the treble frequency down because they had it turned up so high that if there's some crackling sound, it sounds like fireworks in my ears. Every time I put the hearing aids on, I have to go in on my smartphone and make that adjustment. It's nice to be able to adjust it that way instead of having to mess with the actual hearing aids. However, they're still not doing what I want them to do. They help to a certain extent but I'm not satisfied with the way they are. I'd be nice to have tune up adjustments on them but where I'm at right now, there isn't a ReSound place around for several hundred miles. I haven't been able to find the place that can do it. And if they can make it work right, then I'd be satisfied.

I injured my hearing years ago so I have been without good hearing for most of my life. I did not realize it until I was in the navy and they put me through a sonar test which I failed. Then I wanted to be a teacher so I was taking night classes. They gave me hearing tests and they said, “Your hearing is not very good really.” So then I started investigating and the first thing I got was Miracle Ear. I had that for many years and then I needed an upgrade. That’s when I got into ReSound which was recommended to me by Sonus. They showed me the attachment through the TV and that was what sold me on it. My wife had Parkinson’s and we were having difficulty with her and I watching television and interfering with each other, and I wanted to have something that was separate. So that was what appealed to me.
I have had a great experience with ReSound. I got the top of the line at that time. I have been going to them about every six months and they clean everything up and adjust my hearing aids. And I’m very happy with them. When I first got them, I thought I heard something and I thought, “What the heck is that sound?” And I looked over in the corner and there was a little, tiny, whirlwind of leaves that was fluttering around. I thought, “My, gosh. I can hear that.” I heard leaves rustle for the first time. And that was so exciting to me when I came out of the hearing aid place.
I am also hooked up with Posit Science which is a brain program you can download on your machine that increases your ability to hear, see, etc. I can turn my hearing aids to the high stage and begin to tell the difference between the vowels that they test me with. I can get pretty good scores because I can distinguish which syllable or consonant I’m hearing. That’s a big plus. I also like the controller in my pocket. I can control stations and decibels on the sound. I have rated ReSound 5 stars to everybody who I know that needed hearing aids. Most hearing aids, they last about three years. I’ve had ReSound for five years and I’ve never had a problem with them. They're brilliant.

I don’t like any hearing aids but I put up with it and I got ReSound hearing aids. ReSound Hearing aids can be controlled with a smartphone and I was interested in that. Costco is a bit cheaper but ReSound's quality is good. They also did a more thorough examination than what I had in other dealers I had looked at. Also, other brands of hearing aids didn’t match all the details that they went through Costco. So, I like Resound. The options on changing special needs and the different programs were what I liked the best. I have an iPhone and I like the ReSound app for different conditions. I change it when I need to and it’s easier than clicking the buttons on top of a hearing aid. I used to have a problem where I never understood the speakers at a meeting and now ReSound makes me able to hear. I usually understand face to face conversations but not in an auditorium of some kind so ReSound helped me a lot. It's a good experience.

I never had hearing aids before my ReSound LiNX2. I like its integration with the iPhone and the availability of the app. With some other phone companies, I can use the Bluetooth, but they don’t integrate the same way. The app has made me even more likely to wear my hearing aids because it’s certainly far more convenient than listening to the speaker phone.
My ReSound hearing aids improved my life quite substantially and I do hope that the evolution of the system will continue. One of the shortcomings is I have numerous Apple products and I can only link my hearing aids with one device at a time, like my iPhone which I am on right now. But I have my iPad with me and I am just spending the day doing some things on it, and I can’t have music or videos or any audio coming through my headset because I have to first go in and disconnect the hearing aids from my iPhone and then re-link everything with Bluetooth to the iPad, which is a process. It takes about three minutes. You have to take out the battery and put them back in again. All of that is a rather tedious, so I don’t even bother trying to do it anymore.
And the other thing is, I understand it may be a problem with the Bluetooth connectivity, but I often walk away from my phone while I’m talking to somebody and forget that this microphone on the phone is what is going into the telephone call. Although the audio out is going directly to my hearing aids. It would be nice if the microphone in the hearing aids, and I know they have one, was picking up the voice to be transmitted to the iPhone. Then I don’t have to have it out of my pocket. I need to wear it holstered. If I’m wearing the Bluetooth headsets, I talk through the headset to the phone. So I don’t have to have out of my holster or don’t have to be looking at it or keeping it close to me. But those are all evolutionary things so hopefully the process will continue to do that and with the linking more flexible.

I had gone to other hearing aid centers. They used different companies and I was fitted with the different brands of hearing devices. Then I chose the technician and I go with whatever brand he sells and represents. My hearing aid technician opened an office and I went to him and he fitted me with ReSound 10 years ago. He takes real good care of me and fixes anything that goes wrong with the hearing aids or sends it back to get it fixed.
My hearing went bad enough that I had a cochlear implant in my right ear and then I still wear ReSound in my left ear. I like that their technology blends together. There's a lot of features I could use like telephone connectivity, or Bluetooth. One major feature is I can hear in both ears using my iPhone without having to push any extra buttons. I couldn’t talk on the telephone before because I couldn’t hear well enough, but now I can. The second best feature would be the live streaming because I watch TV into both ears. And the third would be the remote microphone, and using the feature that I could plug it in to my computer speakers and have the computer sound downloaded into my ears.
I use the app off of my iPhone to manage my hearing devices. If I want a normal setting, a restaurant setting, an extra loud setting or if I want to download from the TV, I can just push a button on my iPhone and get it done. That’s the only application on my iPhone that I use. Overall ReSound is a very good product that doesn’t require much maintenance. As my hearing has gotten worse through the years, thank goodness the technology and the hearing aid cochlear industries have improved so much that the technology kept in pace with what I need. So, I’m having a good experience and I’m totally satisfied.

I also like not having to take my hearing aids out every time I have to talk on the phone. Overall, they monitor easier pretty much. It's also easy to use. My husband had been loyal to a friend who had a hearing aid business and the hearing aid he got from his friend did him fine for a few years, but then my husband needed better technology. He tried the Resound hearing aids and loved them.
The type of hearing aid he’s using goes in his ear then it loops over with a little filament. The hearing aid couldn’t be seen and it has a little control at the back of the ear. With the hearing aid, he’s able to pick up the phone, hold it to his ear and could hear people talking on the phone. I now also rarely repeat myself in front of him because before when he was wearing his previous hearing aids, I would have to repeat the same things in front of him, like a broken record 15 times where it got to the point I won’t talk to him anymore. Now, I'm turning my head towards him saying the words right, two feet from his head, and he'd go, “What?” It was well worth the money and I like my husband a bit now. It is almost scary to him though. He’ll hear the wind blowing or the motor in the car going and he would ask what noise was that. He's hearing things that he never heard before.

I got Resound LiNX hearing aid and it goes behind the ear then there's a tube that goes to the other thing in the ear. It's light and not very visible. Since using the hearing aids, it has vastly improved my hearing. I got the three channels and it has a channel just for the background noise. It works okay and I could hear the crunching of a paper and little things. It's incredible. But the hearing aids are grossly overpriced and its technology is such that I’d feel could be a lot better. Channel two was not functioning properly and channel three was useless. I’ve sent it back twice to the company and they've either sent back a new one or fixed the old one.
Also, I live in the mid-west so we have warm weather five months out of the year. If I perspire, the hearing aid does not function. It shorts out. For a $3,500 piece of apparatus, that's a joke. Resound didn't put in the pamphlet that if moisture gets in the hearing aid, it will not function, which is totally not acceptable especially that there are all kinds of drying products that are out there. The titillation of being able to hear and having that all taken away by something like perspiration is ludicrous. I'm very dissatisfied and wouldn't recommend Resound. My warranty runs out in 2018 and will have to switch because it seems like every six months to a year the hearing aid has to be fixed. There are other things available like various implants but the hearing aid is still the answer, but somebody has to step up and create something good.

And I noticed it’s difficult to hear in large crowds with these hearing aids.
Also, my hearing aids are not app compatible. The new hearing aid models are and I’m looking into them. I went back to Rametta, where I also go to five times a year to get the hearing aids cleaned and have them tested, and they're recommending the new ReSound LiNX. I went to another hearing aid provider carrying also ReSound, but was pushing me towards Oticon, which is similar in style, features and price range with Resound. I spent $4200 on hearing aids that were pretty worthless. They were good, until the warranty was off them. The ReSound Alera has a plastic tube that holds the microphone. There are 2 major problems with it. 1) The microphone is half hidden by your ear and you only hear about half of what you should. 2) It cost $350 per hearing aid to get it repaired because the plastic tube with the microphone on it will break and usually one month AFTER the warranty is off it. (I spent another $1500 in repairs on the hearing aids in 3 years).
Also, Wakefield Hearing offered free batteries. I would get their batteries and most of the time half of the batteries were dead. Now this becomes a problem when you are in the field working and all you can hear is the ringing in your ear because the battery is dead. I gave up on the Wakefield batteries and ordered hearing aid batteries off the internet.
I also followed the directions given in the pamphlet in calling the factory if you had problems with your hearing aids and needed them repaired. The customer service representative was anything but helpful. He was rude and inconsiderate and told me I couldn't talk to them directly as I wasn't a doctor. After three years of trying to work with these lousy hearing aids, I went to another company, got new hearing aids, have had them a year, have had no problems, have a knowledgeable doctor, great customer service and NO DEAD BATTERIES!!

He would not wear the hearing aids and complained about them being too loud. I work in the I.T. industry so I figured the remote and hearing aids needed fresh batteries and relink (pair) the remote. First I would like to say that the old batteries had long been removed and no place even online could I find a model number. The manual was generic listing NOTHING for battery type or size. Once the batteries were fresh I tried to pair the units and only one would pair.
I called ReSound support and the second person I spoke with did not appear to want to help an end-user. I told her what was done and she said it should have paired both units not just one and then advised that the units should be shipped to the Texas Costco for "Reprogramming". I asked about doing the programming myself and she said that ReSound "will not release the program to just anybody". I attempted to call multiple Costco's in my area and the hearing centers are closed permanently. As for the TWO SETS of ReSound hearing aids and the control unit they are now in the TRASH! ReSound hearing aids are not recommended for these reasons: 1 hour battery life, will not pair correctly, remote functions are slow and hard to move around (clunky interface), and worst support for the money. $3,800.00 in the TRASH! I have had nothing but trouble with my Resound Linx hearing aid. Initially I was sold on the iPhone capability but found the streaming to be ineffective. Most of the time, I could not hear people using this function due to background feedback and also people complained they could not hear me either. Unless you hold your phone near your mouth, the speaker does not pick up the voice well. Well the whole point of having the Bluetooth is so you don't have to carry your phone! In addition, when in the car, the streaming was weak, also due to feedback and background noise. So each time I was in my car, I would have to deactivate the streaming feature and use my car radio Bluetooth, which was a far better and clearer sound. It finally got to the point where I just asked my audiologist to turn off the iPhone connection.
After 1 year, I was not happy with my purchase as I had made so many trips back and forth for adjustments, that audiologist replaced with another Resound Linx with a more powerful amplifier/receiver. However in the last year I have had even more grief and issues with receiver (which was replaced numerous times). This has been the biggest source of frustration and grief, as most of the time it is not working properly or fails at the most inopportune time. My friends and family are just as frustrated and ask me why I still can't hear them, even with the hearing aid! Resound is pure junk, I'm sorry to say. I had a pair of Oticons, which I unfortunately lost, that never gave me these kinds of problems.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am so sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing. Would you please respond with a private message to let me know who your hearing care professional is? I would like to work with them to resolve the issues you are having.

I have not had good hearing aids before and then I was talking to my audiologist a couple of years ago and she told me to try the ReSound hearing aids. I'm horrible with technology but she said I would be able to hear on the phone and do a bunch of other things. So, I got the hearing aids and it has made a big difference to my life. Before, it was painful trying to hear without Bluetooth. But now, it is not, and it’s a big improvement over my last hearing aids. However, I wanted a fit that went into my ear a long way, but they gave me these little stubby things and we had to send them back two times. The first time wasn't even close and the second time wasn't enough. It took a third time before they figured I was serious. Other than that, it's been good. I love it and I'm very happy. I get them every two years and I'm going to get another one as soon as I'm eligible.

My husband has been wearing ReSound hearing aids for quite a number of years and so, I went to the same audiologist and she prescribed them. I had done a baseline test about two years ago. So, I've been following with the audiologist and then last year, I did another one. This past summer I asked if I'm supposed to be wearing hearing aids and she said whenever I am ready. I was volunteering in a second-grade classroom and I wasn't hearing all those little voices, even when they were just sitting next to me, reading. My granddaughter was saying, "Grammy, you have to sing." "What? Say that again." I realized that I wasn't hearing everything.
I had an appointment back a week later and each time I would go in and say, "Well, it tickles a little bit this way. I'm hearing such and such." She kept tweaking them a little bit and we changed the size of the dome. The very biggest thing ReSound has helped me is that I can hear clearer despite the fact that I thought I could before. Also, the comfort has worked out. I'd get done with my shower, put make-up on, get my hair dry and pop the hearing aids in immediately because they feel good. A little baby oil helped every couple of days and at night. I've already recommended them to my whole book club.

I am a 69 year old retired guy who is experiencing hearing aids for the first time. I had my hearing tested and evaluated. It was found that I did have a moderate hearing loss. Heredity and shooting guns for hunting without proper ear protection no doubt contributed some to my hearing loss. My grandfather and dad both wore hearing aids. My dad had them for over 55 years due to a WWII disability.
I was recently fitted for a pair of ReSound LiNX 2 aids. The experience has been very positive. A few examples: Able to hear the TV/ Home sound system better. Less complaints of having the sound turned up to high. Able to hear my young grandchildren with their high-pitched voice a whole lot better. Able to hear my wife talk clearer from another room in the house. Can have some drawbacks to that. Able to hear recorded music much better. I have access to 100K plus songs, and listen to music daily. Able to hear some sounds I didn't know my car was making. Can also be a drawback. Able to hear birds and animals in woods much better. Able to hear much better when conversing on the phone. A lot less asking what, what, what? Keeping my ears clean and doing a small amount of aid maintenance will allow me to realize the above benefits. Well worth it.

I had ReSound for many years, and this is my fourth hearing aids from them. The ability to hear and talk to someone without everybody else listening is amazing. I borrowed the TV transmitter from the audiologist and used that for a couple of weeks before taking it back. If I could afford it, that's what I would have right now. It uses their proprietary Bluetooth transmission to take the sound from the output of my television or stereo to my hearing aids, and I can adjust the volume on that. But that technology costs way too much. They could make their products cheaper.
I've worn hearing aids for many years, but this is the best pair I've ever had, and I really like it. The ability for me to adjust it a little bit in a restaurant setting has really been helpful. The only thing I would like is that it would get rid of a lot more background noise than it does, but I can be in a crowded situation now with a lot more comfort than I have in the past. I've already told some of my buddies who have hearing aids that they'd better go look at this one.

I had other family members with ReSound and they were happy with their hearing aids, so I went there, too. Then I got my second set of ReSound hearing aids, one of the best ones that they've got. The LiNX2 is a newer model and it seemed pretty good. It's got that little G-loop thing to it. I like that it has stuff go directly to my ear, like from my phone or podcast, or if I have a phone call. I use the iPhone app that they have. I go on there and adjust it for different settings, depending on what I'm doing, like I can adjust the volume control if I want to hear people better. But if I want to hear better the people all around me in the car, then I hit the outdoor setting.

I recently purchased ReSound Smart Hearing aids and my 60 day trial is almost up. I am seriously considering returning them this week. They are expensive and I have had issues with them turning off. At first I noticed it when receiving phone calls but now it has happened multiple times. At first it was just the left hearing aid but now it has also happened to the right one. The only way I have to correct this issue is to open the door and then reclose it. The biggest disappointment is paying a large amount of money for something that is giving issues before my 60 day trial is up! I have worked tirelessly with the audiologist in trying to correct issues but I am not having any success. It does not give me a confident feeling with this going on to keep these hearing aids. The only way would be to extend the trial period and offer a full refund if the problem is not corrected.

I have had a pair of ReSound digital hearing aids for about 4 years. They have 3 different pre-programmed hearing 'styles'. My experience has not been good. One just quit but was replaced. My disappointment mostly has to do with feedback. I have returned several times to the audiologist about this and I have been through multiple ear bud styles and finally got the custom fit buds. It made little difference. Any high frequency noise sets up a horrible feedback screech, especially in the ear with more aid. I have had experiences of having to rip the aid out of my ear to avoid a painful event. Worst of all it is not possible to listen to music louder than low background level. Now when I listen, I do not use the aids, rather I feed the stereo via iTunes using an equalizer spectrum profile similar to that of my hearing aids. The hearing aids have been relegated to speech enhancers for watching television with another person.

When my two year old out of warranty hearing aid failed, I took it to my audiologist for repair. I was informed that in order to have the device repaired by its manufacturer (ReSound) I would be required to purchase a 6 month or 12 month warranty. I was happy to pay for the cost of the repair, but did not want to purchase a warranty. I was told that I had to pay for the warranty or the manufacturer would not accept my hearing aid for repair. I verbally confirmed this with ReSound via telephone and was told that it was an industry policy. If this is so, it is a very unattractive method of diverting consumer funds from the legitimate cost of repair to the highly lucrative net profit from product warranties. I am not displease with the product but highly disturbed by this devious and unprofessional practice.

Just got it back on Monday 11/7, was told they replaced the entire aid. After 3 days of use, now the right aid is completely dead. Changed batteries, cleaned the dome, replaced dome and wax filter. Love my ReSound hearing aids. Only complaint is although the phone device works great, the clip that attaches to your clothing or string/rope that's included with the device is absolutely a joke and ReSound is very aware of the manufacturing defected design. The phone device cost $300.00 and the clip breaks way too easy and no repair is offered. The only option is you have to rebuy the whole device. If anyone does the slightest research just reading reviews you'll be able to find that this is a major complaint. The audiologist company I purchased my ReSound hearing aids from admits very poor design. ReSound NEEDS TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM.

When I began to admit that I am maybe hard of hearing, I got online and I was looking for something that’s a little more technologically advanced. I found ReSound and liked the technology associated with it so I emailed them and asked for a vendor. They sent me to McDonald’s Hearing Aid but I ended up at the one over on Douglas Boulevard. I had a terrible time with McDonald’s submitting the claim to my insurance company. I had to get crazy with them to get them to even return my calls about it. I received the product on July 22nd and I just got payment this week. I even emailed ReSound and let them know because they referred me to them. But it’s been resolved.
I had a hearing test and I ended up buying the LiNX. It’s the most advanced but not top of the line. I didn’t want all the bells and whistles. I looked at another provider, which my doctor initially referred me to, but I did not like both the product and the office. The staff was hokey and Resound's product wasn't listed so I didn't go to them.
My favorite is the ability to control the hearing aids on the phone because there are some locations that I really have to adjust to hear optimum-ly. So if I’m not hearing somebody, I can just pick up my phone and adjust whatever I need to hear them properly. It's discreet. I like the Bluetooth aspect with the call back or hands-free feature. I like the geo-mapping, but I don’t use it as frequently as I could. But I do like the fact that it adjusts automatically. However, when I reset my phone, I have to reset all my geo-mapping. I’m happy with ReSound and I'd recommend it. I didn’t realize that my ability to function socially was as impacted as it was. So I’m happy now that I can wear these and be very comfortable. I can interact socially, and so that’s a plus for me.

I previously had another brand and my hearing aid specialist told me that ReSound came out with a Bluetooth version, and that's what motivated me because I like the Bluetooth feature. I talk on the phone and it streams right to my hearing aids. I watch television this way, too. I don't have to turn the volume up so loud that all my neighbors get upset. You have to buy the app and the device. It's a very good feature being able to talk on the phone. It really made a difference.
My other hearing aid is also high tech but doesn't have this feature. For a long time, I was wearing those because it seemed like the sound was better. But I think I had a defective hearing aid and ReSound had to send them back. They fixed them and now they're better, but for a long time they weren't very good. What I would like is to be able to get technical assistance without having to make an appointment with the right hearing aid specialist to do it. There's no number I could call if I have questions, and that is really bad.

Thank you for your feedback! We do have a number you can call for technical assistance. The number is 888-735-4327, option #1. There is a team available to assist you with your Bluetooth functionality.

VA provided me with ReSound LinX2 hearing aid and I had to purchase an iPhone because the app for the hearing aid is optimized for iPhone. The app has affected my hearing aid usage in a good way. I can stream everything into my hearing aid from my phone. It’s very good when I'm driving because I put my phone on the console and I can talk. It interrupts whenever I'm streaming, and the phone call comes right into my hearing aid. That's the best thing and it's more like wearing Bluetooth earbuds.
I can also tweak the settings with my phone, so if I'm in a restaurant, I set it for that kind of atmosphere. I can put that as a favorite, and the next time I walk in a restaurant, it automatically goes to that setting. And if I save this location of the restaurant, whenever I go back to that location, it goes back to that setting. Even when I drive by a restaurant and I hear ding-ding I know my hearing aid has changed setting. There are several chimes in there that let me know what's going on with them, like low battery time and anytime the settings change.
My hearing loss is not bad, but they fitted me with hearing aid because of tinnitus and the model of hearing aid I got has the tinnitus management feature, so I can stream white noise into my hearing aid anytime. I also have the Relief app from ReSound; it's for tinnitus. It has other things and different sounds that I can stream in. There's one that's called Green Woods. I can also have sounds like ocean waves, birds chirping, water bubbling, brook, and some very subtle tones like musical chords playing, around me all the time. It is very good and helpful and it gives me relief especially when I'm working alone and it's quit and no sound.

I can put iTunes on there and when I go to church and I'm listening to music, I put it on Music setting. I'm happy to wear them because it's like having Bluetooth headphones and whenever I want to turn the music on, I just put it on.
When I go to a restaurant, I put it in the Restaurant settings and it traps out a lot of the outside noise around so that I'm mostly focusing on the person who's speaking. I had hearing aids before and had to carry a remote control in my pocket. I didn’t like them and didn’t wear them that much. It's excellent because I have what they call an all-around section on the app and then I have one that I had them set up for me when I'm in a restaurant which cuts out the background noise and lets me focus on the people around me that I'm talking to. And I can get some more favorites when I get to using them more. The app tells me when my batteries need replacing and I can also adjust the volume on the app. I don't have to worry about pressing buttons on my ears which would be very inconvenient. Another thing that's very good about my Resound hearing aids is that when my cellphone rings, it rings in my ears. And then when I talk on my cellphone, it's like automatically on speaker so I'm not trying to hold the cellphone to my ear.

My ReSound hearing aids are very comfortable and they have increased my quality of life. I can use the telephone and the sound comes right through my hearing aids. Also, I use the iPhone app and through it I can tell whether it’s connected or not. It also shows me the battery usage and the volume. When I have problems, I don’t know if it’s my hearing or the hearing aids so I look at the volume to see, and go back and forth with it.

I have profound hearing loss, and three years ago, I purchased ReSound hearing aids. If I’m alone in a quiet environment, I hear well. I still don’t hear when in church, but it may be a product of my personal hearing loss. I have the TV component, the little device that I hook up to the sound system on my television. In fact, my best experience was the first time I heard the television in 15 years. I had tears in my eyes. I like that I can use my hearing aids with my iPad and iPhone. The only thing is that they need to make improvements in terms of background noise. I also have the mini microphone and use it in restaurants, but it still is not enough. I need better background subtraction in noisy environments.
Another flaw is if I’m hooked up to my iPad and my telephone rings, I have to totally disconnect from my iPad to get to my phone. By the time I do that, I’ve lost the call. Also, the hearing aids don’t instantly connect to the iPhone every time. A lot of times, I have to take my hearing aids off, open and close the battery container and then reconnect, but it has nothing to do with fresh batteries. It periodically happens. Probably, there’s a bug in the system. Other than that, they’re marvelous.

I’ve been wearing hearing aids for nearly 30 years now and ReSound for the last 20. I’ve researched different brands of hearing aids every time I had purchased new hearing aids and have had three models of ReSound hearing aids and their sound quality is far superior to any other make. I’ve got the LiNX2 now and a TV Streamer as well. I’m also using the Smart app with the iPhone. The app has definitely helped me because I can watch or listen to TV now without earphones. However, I’m having a problem with the inconsistent battery life of the LiNX2, especially with the right hearing aid.
The reason I’ve got the LiNX2 is because they came out with an upgrade - $195 per hearing aid to upgrade to the new version of the LiNX. It has a longer life than the original ones, but the battery life is not consistent from day-to-day or from battery to battery. I use Pro Line batteries and the battery life went from three days to up to about six days. I’ll be sending them back to ReSound for some repairs next week.

ReSound Hearing Aids share the same wireless technology with the Nucleus Cochlear Implant which I have. I got the ReSound ENZO hearing aid and using the Phone Clip is my favorite. Using the Smart App increased my hearing aid usage. Because I'm able to connect the device to my iPhone, I'm able to take calls and stream music. I've also linked the hearing aid and my Cochlear implant via the Phone Clip to my iPad so that increased my usage as well. Having the hearing aid made things easier. I don’t have to carry an accessory with me if I have a long phone call and if I have my phone in my purse or in another room in the house, I can hear it ring through the hearing aid. It’s a cool feature.

I am a 69 year old female who received my first hearing device in November 2015, the Resound Linx2. I went back to the audiologist multiple times for adjustments and finally purchased two aids, unfortunately without trying any other brands. The longer I wore them the more frustrated I became. I have to say "what" as often or more often than before I started wearing them. She has made additional adjustments but I still can't understand when speaking with someone other than one on one.
In crowds, I take them out. It's better to not hear than put up with the roar. They have failed repeatedly, the battery door broke on one and had to send it back for two weeks. Batteries last very short time and very often when I replace I have to try 4-6 batteries before it starts working again and sometimes nothing will restart it but laying it aside and trying again later. Total junk and I'm out $4300. My audiologist keeps telling me that there's little difference in brands and these are very good, but I have not spoken with a number of friends and acquaintances who tell me there is a lot of difference in them and they've had to try numerous brands before finding the right one. I'm stuck as I cannot toss these aside and spend that kind of money again soon.

We sincerely apologize about your experience with your ReSound LiNX². We appreciate your feedback and would like to try our best to make things right. Would you be willing to give us your provider's information so that we may discuss the issues with them further?

I returned to Costco and spoke with Jeff and he was very helpful as I explained the problems I had. He was able to have the hearing aids completely overhauled and return in a very short time. Since then I have not had any difficulty, they work great. Thanks to Jeff, Costco and ReSound they did for me what was right.

I purchased my ReSound hearing aids from Costco about 3 years ago. I felt like that because they were available at Costco. There was some assurance that they would be reliable. My first impression was good however before long I noticed I had difficulty with certain issues such as people whispering near me and I could not hear them. I returned to the store and had them adjusted several times with the hope that the problem could be resolved but it never was. I decided to return them and all they would do is try adjusting them again which didn't help. Next the real bad thing was that I starting getting popping in my right hearing aid which over a month or two rendered it totally useless. It quit. I found out that there was no warranty and that it would cost something like $400 to $500 to send it in and have it repaired which I didn't do because of my experience and lack of confidence at that point in the company.
Well, now 3 months later the left side is doing the same thing. It has started popping and I can tell that its performance as a hearing aid has diminished significantly. If a person pays $3000 for hearing aids personally I would expect them to last much longer and work better. I am very disappointed in ReSound and Costco. I would recommend that you talk with people who have had a good experience with another brand and not depend on Costco to do your research.

I have been wearing hearing aids since 2005. As a veteran I get my hearing aids free of charge from the VA Hospital, so cost is not a concern for me. Today I was issued a new set of Resound Linx2 Model 88 hearing aids. From the moment my doctor put them in my ears I hated them. First the ear piece is made to fit too tightly, causing the "full" feeling you would get if you stuck your fingers in the ears... This causing everything I say to sound very loud blocking out almost all other noises. I also don't like the features in general, and I think overall they are a very expensive piece of junk. In the past the VA always issued me Phonak hearing aids, and so I was really surprised they gave me these instead. In my case I have 6 months to try them out and return them for a different set. I didn't even need one day to know these are going back to the VA and I will be getting a different brand.

Just reading the bad reviews. Don't understand the negativity. I had a pair of over the ear, and now have the in the ear models. I work at home on the phone. The over the ear mic was outside the headset, so it was of minimum help. With the LS9 in the ear, the difference is OMG. When I put the headset on, you can hear the aids lowering the gain as it is not needed with the headset. I have tried with my iPhone 5SE and works flawlessly. I can listen to my iPad audio files with no problems. I have used them for over a month, and after a couple of weeks, I was thinking, not working as well as I thought, then I took them off and realized, YES, they were working flawlessly, and I had just gotten used to hearing like I did years ago. Would I recommend them to others??? Without a doubt. I am 72 and have been in the electronics industry all my life, and can understand that technology can be a little daunting to newcomers to this type of technology.

I have been really shocked by the very poor reviews submitted by most of the writers re ReSound Hearing Aids and the attitude of ReSound. But, am even more surprised by total absence of comment by ReSound. I am 87 a wearer of HEARING AIDS for many years. My problem is age related (so I am told). I am fortunate in having an excellent Audiologist whose interest in her clients and technical ability is beyond excellent. But to be honest had I seen these reviews before trying the ENZO hearing aids I doubt if I would have bought. As I have said I have every faith in my supplier and after a decent term on trial settled for 2 ENZO hearing aids along with TV attachment and mini mic. Without Hearing Aids I am now totally deaf.
The use for general hearing is beyond anything I have used before - TV listening is now enjoyable, in the car my wife wears the mini mic so no more "what's that?" Another example of its use is in my Doctor's surgery. The habit of him talking whilst looking at a computer screen or a file means not looking at the patient, as all Hard of hearing people know once eye contact is lost problems with understanding occur, the mini placed on desk before him totally solved the problem - yes the max distance can be a problem but not for my needs. I understand there is now a new model with better distance but at a silly price.
Last but not least being able to listen to my iPad without sound annoying others (for instance in bed). This actually was a surprise - no special action is required. iPad seems to be linked - must be the Apple idea. On the question of cost ReSound and the industry in general will need to be aware that the new technology is attracting some big names in the technology world to become involved. Apple already are and Samsung will I understand make their mark later in the year. Who else?
Interesting days. Think about it, how little extra will it take to add the necessary addition to the motherboard of a TV so it can stream directly to modern Hearing Aids and the chance for the seller of TV to sell the hearing bit. Not everyone requires the complicated hearing test as for hearing aids and consider the annoyance created in most homes by volumes being too loud or not loud enough.
Most waiting rooms have a TV today but either the general noise level is too high or volume of set too low for people like me to hear. All I have to do is place my mini mic close to the set (often the speaker is at bottom of set) or there is a ledge or stand, bingo! I can pass the time in total comfort. With a built in streamer in the TV it would be even better, but that could be a long way away.
However the downside is that this equipment if you buy the added equipment, it is not for those who want to wear hearing aids just to help poor hearing. Of course on its own the ENZO is a marvellous bit of gear for general hearing and also there are different models available. A friend of mine has just bought the tiny in-ear model and the new mic, boy am I jealous, but the tiny in-ear is no good to me. She is really astonished at what she hears at night when she is Dog walking.
I am very happy with all the equipment and say it has been a real life changer for me. There are a number of snags when trying to use all of the facilities from these high spec devices and at times possibly beyond many people. A computer user shouldn't have problems, I have spent a lot of time working around the problems and will be happy to pass on the info if requested. Nothing beats a suitable trial time but do not buy if you cannot try and be sure you really are doing the right thing for you.

I am a 'first-time' hearing aid wearer. I got my first and only set on 6/23/16. I was coerced into getting them by my wife. I know I needed them but did not want them. I am now of the mind that these sensational, over-the-top, high-end marvels of technology and engineering have literally been a life changer for me. When I see those bad reviews I can only think of two possible explanations. First, they did not give it enough time to allow their ears and brain to get adjusted to the new way of hearing. Of course it will never be precisely like natural hearing, but it does come close. Of course, it could also be the technician or audiologist that "fit" them may have done something wrong with the settings and balancing of them for the individual.
It took losing one over the July 4th holiday weekend in a shopping mall a 45 minute drive from home and being without them for 12 hours to fully appreciate just how much they mean to me now. It was the technology and the "locate" feature that told me where they were within the shopping center and I drove back to retrieve them. Awesome pieces of essential equipment. I do not have a single complaint about these devices. No, I have no connection to the company in any way other than loving their hearing aids.

On 9/30/15 I paid $6,500 for two ReSound Linx2 aids, plus another $500 for a ReSound Unite TV Streamer 2. I have had continuous problems with both aids - both aids chime unpredictably without reason; both aids produce feedback while streaming (using the ReSound Unite TV Streamer 2); the left aid unpredictably produces feedback even when nothing is within a foot or so (during normal use); the receiver tubes don't fit correctly because ReSound has decided that they don't need to follow the industry standard for sizing tubes.
The left aid was returned to ReSound and repaired or replaced (it wouldn't pair with the ReSound Unite) but still continues to give me problems as noted above. I have previously used Phonak aids (10 years with no problems at all), Lyric (was allergic to the material used in them), and Unitron (2 years, replaced them as soon as my insurance would cover a new pair) so I'm not a novice user. I will never buy ReSound aids again and I will discourage everyone I know from purchasing this product. "Premium" class hearing aids that cost this much should deliver premium quality but this product falls far short of doing so.

The audiologist sent them back to the manufacturer 4 times before she demanded that they be replaced after 12 months. The new one worked fine from 7/15 until 2/16 when they started cutting off and chiming for no reason. They work most of the time but for $5,700 they should work all of the time. Six months ago one of them stopped working and I took it in for repair. The problem was that the door to the battery compartment wouldn't fully close. I took it in for repair. This morning the other one developed the same problem. The two hearing aids cost nearly $5,000. For that kind of money, the manufacturer should not use shoddy materials. I purchased a ReSound hearing aid in May of this year. I wish I had done some research before making this purchase. I've been very disappointed. The most annoying problem is phone conversations. The squealing noise and static make it impossible to hear. The buttons that's supposed to alleviate this problem seldom work, it feels as if it's sticking. The HAS switched it over so it was to switch automatically when speaking on the phone. This worked until the battery door was opened and closed the first time.
I've taken them back several times and now the HAS is saying things like: " I wonder they work in the office" or "they worked in the office." The seller won't entertain the notion that this product may be defective. The next issue is the clarity and or volume is not consistent. I find myself asking others to repeat what's being said at frequent intervals. These are the major problems though I could name more.

The hearing aids are great for hearing loss. The extra monies paid for these for extra functionalities is not worth it. When having a phone conversation on the iPhone, the Bluetooth app causes the conversation to move from ear to ear and completely drop sometimes. I have to cut the Bluetooth functionality to have clear phone conversations. Bluetooth is a mature technology and these problems should not exist.

While the high cost of the initial hearing aid may by justified, the policy of dealing with lost hearing aids is completely avaricious. After the loss on one hearing aid which costs $400 to replace (probably the wholesale price), the cost if it is again lost is the full $3,500. Only greed can justify not giving you replacement hearing aids at wholesale. I cannot understand this policy of again charging for what you have already paid for. My audiologist said "Well, I have to program it again", a job that takes at most 10 minutes. I went ahead and paid for the replacement because I would otherwise lose the 7K I had already invested. But, given the choice, I would never have made the original purchase.

I like my hearing aids but my remote control and mini mic are garbage. They do not work as advertised. The mini mic only works if you are less than 10 feet from it. The clip on the remote breaks off very easily. The button to answer the phone on the remote does not work every time it is pushed. I returned four remotes before one worked properly. Each time I sent one ReSound would write that I had damaged the equipment even when I sent one back within three days because it did not work from day one. Sent in my left hearing Aid because the program button did not work and there was static and it. When it was returned the button won't work but there was still static in the hearing aid. I told my audiologist that they did not run all the diagnostics on the hearing Aid. The audiologist did not believe me.
After the warranty period of my remote, I sent one back with the clip broken off, it would not charge and the cover that goes on the bottom of it was missing. ReSound sent that very same remote back to me just like it had been sent to them. ReSound had obviously not even looked at it or run any diagnostics on it. And they still wanted to charge me $345. Bottom line is that their service is horrible. It's obvious that they really don't care. Don't buy ReSound.
