Warren Plaza Giant Eagle Pharmacy is a disaster! Avoid that one if you can! Very rude, unprofessional staff and pharmacist. Will mess up your RX every time, yes that happened to me too many times. Won’t fill some RX’s unlike Rite aid. Was forced to choose Giant Eagle when Rite Aid closed all stores. The big heavy set girl at the counter is very ignorant and causes to many problems with a RX. The pharmacist is unprofessional in that he literally throws the prescription to the staff across the room and is rude. Transferring ALL my prescriptions the heck out of that terrible pharmacy. BTW the corporate NEVER responded to my concerns. One and done with them! Avoid!!!

I have been a long time customer of Giant Eagle in Chardon. Never any problems. However, once in madison suddenly all of my medications have a charge. I spoke to my insurance company as well as the doctor and his pharmacy. They looked at all of my medications and said that I am covered. Note I've had the same insurance and same medications since 2018. My doctor and says I'm covered but the individual named (Lisa) who says she's not going to give me any information. She said I'm not covered and I'm just going to have to pay. I recommended that they call chardon to find out how they're putting it in, the one pharmacist did call, not lisa, someone else who didn't mind doing their job and she got the medications to go through with no charge.

When the next month came they sent me a text saying filled but with charge so I called and the young man said he would call however he called me back, said there was a note saying that I had pay then lisa got on the phone and made it very clear that she was not calling anyone and had to pay from now on. I had some of my medications transferred to walgreens. Guess what? No charge at all, so why is it when I go to giant eagle same medications that I have to pay. But walgreens I don't.

Please note there is some shady activity when it come to bills. I strongly suggest that people check with their insurance to be sure and not to go to giant eagle in madison ohio and don't deal with (lisa). She is unprofessional, disrespectful, racist and a big liar. I no longer wish to deal with giant eagle pharmacy or (lisa). Never ever again in life. Do not trust them. They put notes in your file to charge even though you're not supposed to be charged. This has caused my blood pressure to go up and has put me under distress. Never again lisa. You're shady and dishonest. Giant eagle pharmacy department. You should investigate her actions seriously. She is not customer friendly to **, she's very nasty.

Giant Eagle Pharmacy Greenfield. ***Avoid at all costs!*** I have never seen or encountered a more unprofessionally run establishment in my life. The pharmacist at this giant eagle will consistently put off filling a prescription until the next employee comes in. You can call 4 times to ask and make sure it is ready, it does not matter. It won't be.

They will insist it is coming in the next day. If you push them really hard they will finally say they have the medication in stock and can fill it. I feel I work harder than any employee here trying to get my own prescription filled. It's a joke. I have had surgery in the past where the doctor will call in meds and I will then have to call them 3-4 times before they will finally fill them.

The lead woman pharmacist is probably the rudest person I have ever come across. She will sit behind her computer screen and just holler over to you. She refuses to even come to the counter and talk to you like a human. I have never witnessed such an incompetent employee. I have already made a formal complaint against her. If this pharmacy wasn't part of a huge conglomerate that giant eagle is, it would be long shut down. I feel like this place will be investigated and eventually shut down.

I have been using this pharmacy for a very long time. In the past year they have drastically went downhill. There's always a line, it takes forever them digging through drawers and a mess on top of the drawers until they finally find my prescription. I've been getting the same prescriptions for a while now and every time the price is different. Lastly I just can't take their snarky and rude attitudes. The whole store seems miserable. If it's that terrible go work somewhere else and not with the public especially in the pharmacy.

I recently had a deeply unsatisfactory experience at Giant Eagle that has left me feeling frustrated and let down by their customer service. I purchased a money order from Giant Eagle, and unfortunately, I had to return it for personal reasons. Armed with my receipt and expecting a straightforward process, I was shocked when the store refused to accept the return.

The lack of consistency and understanding in Giant Eagle's return policy is beyond disappointing. As a loyal customer, I assumed that returning a money order purchased from the same store would be a hassle-free procedure, especially when armed with a receipt. However, the staff at Giant Eagle were uncooperative and unwilling to assist me. The fact that Giant Eagle, a store that prides itself on customer satisfaction, refused to accept the return of their own product raises serious concerns about their commitment to customer service. The inconvenience and frustration caused by this incident have left me questioning whether I can trust Giant Eagle for future transactions.

Moreover, the unhelpful attitude of the staff during this ordeal only added to my disappointment. A company of Giant Eagle's stature should prioritize customer satisfaction and demonstrate flexibility in resolving issues. Unfortunately, my experience suggests otherwise. I would caution potential customers to think twice before engaging in financial transactions, especially involving money orders, at Giant Eagle. The lack of a reasonable return policy and the uncooperative attitude of the staff have tarnished my perception of the store's commitment to customer service, and I am left with a negative impression that will undoubtedly influence my future shopping decisions.

I'm used to getting scripts in 20 minutes or less. It's ridiculous that I can't get the medication I need in a timely manner. The pharmacy techs aren't very friendly most of the time either. I'm going to switch pharmacies; I can't take it anymore.

I recently returned Giant Eagle Pharmacy. A terrible mistake. On Dec 03 2022, my physician called in a prescription for a quality of 60 pills and in tablet form. I was originally told that they didn’t have in stock. Then they stated they had 29 tablets. If I took those I would forfeit the remaining 31, I asked why, they stated Ohio Law. I reached out to Board of Pharmacy to ask if true. The investigator assigned to this stated if a pharmacy can only fill a partial even if it is classified as a level 2, as long as pharmacy got the remaining within 30 days of prescription being written they were allowed to fill. The investigator also stated Giant Eagle on Groveport have been made aware.

When I called back I spoke to manager Amy, she told me I can place calls to Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and Attorney General offices if I wish, and I would need to find a pharmacy that can better suit my needs. However she did state the medication was on long term back order. I have called other Giant Eagle pharmacies that have the tablets however Giant Eagle is refusing to transfer per their policy. I called this am to see if they had my medication in stock. The technician confirmed the Medication was there. I told him I needed remainder. He got the pharmacist and then I was told they didn’t have it, even though my cousin literally was sitting in drive through picking up their same medication. They are deceitful and condescending.

When I asked about what they charged my insurance Amy the pharmacy manager said, "Your state insurance? We billed for 29 they gave me." When I asked where does the remainder 31 go she said it’s absorbed. I have never been through so much issues. So instead of seeing my Dr. once this month I have to go back in a few days all because they are difficult because I followed up with AG and OSBP. I have been discriminated against because I followed up with how the law is written. I have to take my medicine daily and been trying to stretch to make last but it’s not working as it should. Shame on Giant Eagle in Groveport for putting an senior citizen through this.

I went to pick up a script at Giant Eagle Pharmacy in West Mifflin pa. On mountain view Dr. The cost was going to be $87.00 and the same script the month before was $27.00. I ask why so much and they said it's their cost. I refused the script and did some research and found GoodRx coupon online. I returned and used goodrx and they dropped the price to $37.00. I accepted that but found that the Giant Eagle two miles away charge $27.00 for the same script with the goodrx coupon. That is a $60.00 difference from the original price and I pay $1850.00 for my insurance every month and that includes prescription coverage. All I can say is GoodRX works and don't trust your pharmacy.

If that wasn't bad enough they fill two of my scripts that they have not had in their possession for over six months. Each were filled for 90 days which really screws up my pill pack and I did not know my latest pill pack boxes did not have my medications. I got severe chest pains and others really bad symptoms because I have a bad heart and high blood pressure because they did this and I was not aware of it. Because I am mobility-impaired and I rely upon others for assistance. Run do not walk away from this Pharmacy and any Giant Supermarket pharmacies. Be careful. Know what you have, know what has been filled and if somebody else does it for you recheck it at least once a week - signed... Not dead yet... but heart is in agony.

I use Giant Eagle Pharmacy to fill my prescription based on Insurance requirements. I was advised via the automated system that my prescription was ready. Due to the location I am not able to easily get there. I received another call on a Thursday and went to get the prescription on Tuesday to find out there is no prescription there for me and they cannot locate. It may have been put back on the shelf I was told as they hold them for only 12 days. I have not problem with this practice except for the fact that this information was never disclosed to me as the Customer. The automated system should indicate that there is a prescription and advise of an expiration date.

I spent over 1/2 hour at the drive through attempting to get my prescription filled. The employees were nice and my complaint is not against them, it is against the practices of Giant Eagle. Any company should be fair to their customers and treat them as such. Advising me that there is a prescription for me to only find out that there was not is deceitful. This practice needs re-examined. It is extremely difficult to file a complaint with Giant Eagle as well. The number on the prescription bag asks you to fill out a survey- I don't want to fill out a survey, I want to file a complaint. The message on the number tells you to contact them on www.gianteagle.com/contactus, which gives you the same number or allows you to view your account or fill out a survey.

Nowhere does it state where you can file a complaint. Feedback from consumers is very important and there should be an easier way to provide this. I finally spoke with a woman and aired my concern on the practice of not disclosing Giant Eagle's procedures/practices to their consumers and advising them incorrectly via a phone message. We shall see if anything comes of it. Also, I am unable to use mail prescriptions due to dosage changes for medical reasons. Hopefully they will disclosure properly to consumers in the future.

I have used Giant Eagle most of my life because that is who my parents used. They have been fine until recently. I currently go to the Giant Eagle Pharmacy on Cochran/Greentree road in Pittsburgh. First issue I have had lately is they don’t have the medication I need and they have to order it. Which isn’t totally annoying because I know not to show up at the pharmacy. But lately after l show up to pick up my medication there is a reason why I can’t receive it or that I will have to wait longer. Not billing my insurance right so then they have to recount everything (their protocol); they didn’t order enough which means I can only receive a 5 day supply and come back another day when they get more of the medicine; or they have filled it but have not looked at my account to see whatever questions they may have for my dr. As you all know doctors can’t just be reached immediately so that means I go home and wait for them to get their affairs in order again.

Meanwhile during this whole process the head pharmacist is very rude and sends some intern to deliver any bad news so they don’t have to deal with it. For anyone who relies on their medication (such as a diabetic) to the point of hospitalization if you don’t receive it; I would not recommend this pharmacy. I will definitely be switching my pharmacy ASAP.

My doctor suggested this company to save money. Well, it may be cheaper than local pharmacy costs, but the hassle and frustration is not worth it. It took forever for them to get straight that I wanted autoship, despite my signing up online for that and calling them to do so more than once, so I had to pay for higher shipping to get my medication in time. Second nightmare - the medication began to get lost in the mail, showing up weeks later. Thirdly, since I was on autoship (FINALLY), they contacted my doctor and got an out of date prescription and kept filling it with the out of date Rx after he changed it - and after the expiration date should have come and gone. So now, I have two prescriptions I cannot use and I'm out money since they don't take anything unopened back. Calling to try to block them from charging my card yet again. Horrible experience. Buyer beware!! The money saved is certainly NOT worth the hassle, frustration and expense.

Later I called again, all meds ARE on auto refill. Received call from them, my meds were ready except for 3. I am diabetic and the insulin pen they called me about was cancelled. They wanted me to wait for it. I requested a print out of my prescriptions so I can go to a different pharmacy and they refused to print it for me. I know the pharmacy is busy but I just called to 1/7/18 to verify my prescription was still there because I had a emergency in the family and the pharmacist was so rude, she said she would take care of it and hung up. This is example of the customer service I get at this location. I spend a lot of money at this location to be treated like this. If they are too busy to talk to a customer they need to hire more people. I am really tired of being treated like this. I thought Giant Eagle should know how the customer are being treated.
