    I've been using Byte for a year and a half. After they send you a certain amount of aligners and if you're not satisfied with your smile, you could email them and they would ask for some other pictures. I sent them in and they told they they would ship however many aligners I needed. Two teeth didn't correct themselves the way that I wanted, so I emailed them again after that set was done. They told me they'd send me another adjustment. I'm hoping that this will correct my concerns. But if I'm not 100% satisfied, they are willing to keep tweaking. They send you an email every once in a while prompting you to do a check-in. You could use the app or the email. They go hand in hand. They get back to you fairly quickly. I was happy with their response time. I'm on my second adjustment but they didn't say, “No. This was what you paid for. This is the plan. You're done.” They were willing to, not once but twice, try to adjust my smile.

    The beginning of the process was really good. The guy that reached out to me was very consistent and helped get me a couple of different discounts. He worked with me with all the questions that I had and made sure that I picked the right deal. When I did the imprints, I'm glad there were two in the box because one of them got stuck when I was pulling it out and it totally messed up the imprint. Other than that, all the liners have felt fine. I charge the HyperByte and it works great. I love the straightness of my teeth and I use the foam to help whiten them.     Everything was relatively easy. The molding came with instructions and a video for me to watch, just in case I couldn't follow the instructions. I got everything really fast in the mail as well. My kit came in with nine aligners and a whitening spray. It also came with a little machine that goes in my mouth that I use on a daily basis for five minutes, and it's supposed to move my teeth. I started about two months ago, and the gap on my front teeth is already closed. I love it. The application really helped a lot with the weekly updates, because it reminded me when I had to change my aligner. I set a timer, so it reminded me to put the aligner on. I had very minimal conversation with the Byte customer service person, because I didn't really need to, and everything has been great. My sister is looking into trying the aligners as well, and I was just speaking about it with her.

    Everything's been great, and I've noticed my teeth moving. I also got the foam to go in my trays and the whitening is subtle. The process took four weeks altogether ‘cause I had to get a second set of impressions. I did it all at home. Byte just mailed the products to me, and I'm wearing them continuously for 10 weeks. My experience with them depends on the day, but for the most part, it's not bothersome. It's an easier process than going to the orthodontist, ‘cause I've done that before when I was younger.

    I'm still going through refinements with Byte. I still haven't been able to straighten out my bottom teeth. It's been a challenge. This is the third refinement. I'm just trying to get through the treatment. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.

    You have to pay 15 bucks and Byte would send you the kit to see if you're even an applicant depending on your teeth or how messed up they are. You have to mold the two putties together and take the forms. You have to do two forms on top and two forms on the bottom. It takes about 15 minutes each time. You drool everywhere and it's disgusting. Then, you mail these forms back. Byte has an awesome 3D thing that can extrapolate the information. Then, they send you a yes or no, if you're an applicant, which I was. I had an overbite and a couple of gaps. They figure out the treatment steps, such as how many aligners you're gonna need and the course of the treatment and if you wanted to do daytime or nighttime.

    With the daytime, the treatment plan is shorter because you wear the aligners longer during the day. But I chose nighttime because I didn't wanna be bothered with it. You just wear them at night. Realistically, it was 24 aligners in total and you had to wear each set for one week. I'm on my last set of aligners. My teeth are right where they said they'd be. They send you this progression scale that takes you through the aligners, what your teeth look like in the beginning and what they're gonna potentially look like at the end. And my teeth look exactly like they said they're gonna look like at the end. Those little molds snap right on your teeth like a Lego brick going together. You can feel the pressure on your mouth. It's a nice feeling.

    Byte is cheaper. I had two kids that went to the orthodontist, and that was more expensive. We decided to try Byte for my son who had a lot of spaces in between his teeth. They sent in a kit which came in less than a week. He's finished 14 sets, and he just got new ones in yesterday. He has eight more weeks left. His teeth are looking much better. He likes the aligners.

    I had a crowding issue on one side of my teeth and I needed to get that fixed up by almost moving just two teeth. I also needed training everything else out. I went with Byte and so far, I haven't had any hiccups yet. I'm still going through the treatment and I'm on my 15th week right now. People at home and friends say it seems like my teeth's moving quickly and I'm excited to see how the rest of it goes. The aligners are pretty comfortable and I was surprised with not having any pain other than a little discomfort when I change aligners the night that I change them every week. They seem to fit in well and I don't have any problems with the edges or anything inside my gums. Early on, it might have been hard for my gums to get used to with just having something plastic in my mouth and a little cut in the mouth from wearing them. But after having them for four weeks, it was just like cake.

    Do not use them. They got my son through 15 weeks of treatment and we weren't happy with the position of his teeth. We followed all the steps and made sure he wore the aligners and his teeth did move, but after the final step, they do not look right. Ten weeks and 30-40 pictures later, they still were asking for more pictures with no offer of how to proceed with a resolution. Their end game was to wait us out and wear us down until we caved and told them to just send us the retainers we had prepaid for that will hold our son's teeth in a position that is not right... Shame on you and your customer service people. They drug this out and finally won in the end. Don't use them. Spend the money for an orthodontist, this is a subpar process. Signed - a worn out/unhappy Byte customer's dad...

    This company is going to take your money up front, provide a very untimely response time to any problems and there are many. I have had them 'working' on my teeth and it has been 8 months [they said 9 weeks total treatment plan] and my teeth are a mess. They show you a plan, as the fake computer 3-d models, not really what is going to happen in your mouth! It took 2 months to get management to respond - a phone call was cut off and they did not even call back to complete the concern and finalize a plan for a paying customer? They have your money so that's it. I wish I could do more to warn people.

    Creating the molds was easy. I threw on some gloves, messed with the putty and then put it on. Sending it back was very easy too and the customer service was excellent. Wearing the molds is not too bad at all. I brush my teeth twice a day and I make sure that I scrub them clean with my toothbrush if I see anything on them. It's very easy and I love talking about it to my friends because they’ll ask why I am wearing them. And I'll tell them the whole story.

    I have the overnight ones and I wear them often during the day. I can take them off for a few hours if I need to. If I know I'm going out and it would be like a little too tricky, I could take them off. Then I compensate with more wear time later in the day. The results have been great. My teeth have shifted a whole lot and I've even had people comment that my teeth look good. Byte is fast, easy and comfortable, and I totally recommend it. The app that I use is an interesting way to track which aligners you're on and how often you use the vibrate thing. Sometimes, it is a little glitchy but that's not related to physical care. I use the molds every night anyway so it's not like I need the app to keep track but it works as best as they can. It's technology and I get it.

    I was so excited when I got my impressions and almost 1 year later my teeth are worse than when I started! I've done two different sets of impressions and received two entire sets of aligners that did not fit right. My teeth are so offset that they have to settle for months before we proceed and try another. I have to badger and send email after email to even get a response and they treat me as if I'm an inconvenience. The product is meant for people who need MINOR ADJUSTMENTS!! Make sure you read the fine print and there is no refund policy!!!! I have never been so disappointed and frustrated! Good luck!

    All my teeth had shifted significantly over the years since I had braces when I was young, so I wanted to straighten everything out again. Byte sends you impression kits and you have to do dental impressions on your own. I thought I was more experienced because I had a lot of dental work and a lot of impressions when I was a kid, but it still wasn't that easy. I've been on a 10-week program for 20 months now, and I've done impressions the second time, and I can say that it was not that easy to get them right. I might have gotten them wrong the first time. My teeth have certainly improved. They're a lot better than when I started.

    I am getting results, but I would never recommend Byte to anyone. A regular interaction with an actual orthodontic practitioner would be big. I haven't heard from anybody in months. They ask me for feedback all the time, but no one tells me if the things are going well or if they're not going well. I feel like I had to fight for 3rd rounds of impression kits because my teeth aren't right and they guarantee that they'll be right.

    I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with the Byte at-home braces system that I signed up for over 9 months ago. I must emphasize that my experience with this product has been nothing short of a complete disappointment, causing me physical discomfort, extensive dental expenses, and significant distress.

    When I initially received the aligners from Byte, I followed the instructions diligently and began wearing them as directed. Unfortunately, from the very beginning, I experienced excruciating pain and discomfort. The aligners not only caused intense soreness but also led to severe cuts and abrasions inside my mouth, necessitating medical intervention. I have been prescribed antibiotics on 3 occasions to address the resulting infections from wearing these aligners.

    Considering the severity of the adverse reactions I experienced, my PCN has come to the conclusion that either I am allergic to a component in the aligner material and, that the craftsmanship of the aligners caused aberrations and cuts. It is distressing to know that the product I trusted to improve my dental alignment has instead caused me significant harm and has exacerbated my pre-existing health conditions.

    I have made multiple attempts to contact your customer support team to voice my concerns and request a refund, I have sent the document and the note from my doctor stating my allergy and that MUST discontinue However, to my utter disappointment, I have not received a satisfactory response thus far. The lack of acknowledgment and resolution from this company only serves to reinforce my belief that this entire experience is not only a disappointment but also a clear indication of the dishonest practices employed by this company.

    I am deeply disappointed with the entire Byte at-home braces system and the subsequent lack of support and accountability. As a consumer, I trusted that the product would improve my oral health and enhance my smile. Instead, I have experienced excruciating pain, incurred hundreds of dollars in medical expenses, and suffered undue physical discomfort caused by these aligners.

    Stay away, see your dentist, and get an actual professional to address your orthodontic needs.

    I signed up with Byte online then we ordered the kit to take the impression. After the impressions were complete, they walked me through the whole thing and it was very easy. The number of aligners that Byte gives to their customers varies per person and how long they think it's going to take to straighten your teeth because there's an orthodontist that look at your bite. Then they send you pictures that show step by step how your bite is going to change. And mine is going to take three months if I wear my aligners every day and do exactly what they told me to do.

    I feel like the aligners they sent me are going to work because they are snug. There was the uncomfortableness like you would with braces at first, then it gets a little easier. I'm adjusted to them now. I feel tension because they're adjusting my teeth slowly. My daughter is doing the same thing and she has her Byte aligners for a month now. Her teeth moved already.

    I should be close to done right now, but I had to go back into the previous aligners and it wasn't the original plan. I have a 20 retainer plan for the top and 12 for my bottom. I tried to request the remainder but Byte told me that it looks like my teeth weren't fitting the aligners properly or there are gaps between the aligner and my teeth. I thought they fit well though, and I didn't feel any pain. Other than that, I like the way my teeth look now compared to before I got the Byte treatment, but it could have been better. It's nowhere near as effective as braces.

    I like the end result with Byte. I see my smile every day and it's what I wanted. I'm not covering my mouth anymore when I laugh. Their price was also way better than others on the market. I chipped my very back tooth in the middle of the process. Thankfully, it didn't impact it. It's been amazing so far. I still haven't finished but they make it super easy. One thing I enjoy is the app. It's a recent update. When I first started, there was no app to keep track of the data and the progress. It was easy at the beginning. It was the middle of the pandemic so I didn't have to leave my home. I don't make food for myself so I eat out all the time. Being forced in the home, it was a bit stricter to keep to the process. But whenever the restrictions lifted, I was out more and taking my aligners out more. The app whipped me back into place. The only time I ever had a problem was when I was the problem and didn't follow the schedule. I reached out to them and they said, "Just get back on it and you'll be good."

    The teeth correction I was getting Byte for was a simple one and it was something that I didn't really need to go to an in-person dentist for. My experience with them was nice, simple, and quick. Hopefully, we can get it done within four to five months if I'm able to go through the plan correctly. At the beginning of the treatment, they send you a impression kit that comes with four of the trays that you use for your mouth, two for the bottom, two for the top, then you mix together two different putties that are different colors. So, you can tell which one's supposed to be which.

    Once you've mixed them together, they start to harden quickly. So, you have to roll them out, push them into that mold, then get them good and flat. Once you have them in the mold, you put your teeth in the mouth guard just like you would if you were trying to create an impression of your teeth. Then you push it up into your mouth or down onto your jaw then hold it there for three to five minutes. Once that three to five minutes is up and the putty is hardened enough, you can take it out without it messing up your impression.

    In terms of following the instructions, this process was extremely easy to complete. But in terms of the feeling of having the impression kit in your mouth, there's really nothing you can do about that. Having the impression kit in your mouth wasn't super comfortable for five minutes. If there was a way to make the putty dry faster or even make it less uncomfortable, that could be an improvement. But it's probably one of those things that you can't.

    Once I made the molds, they sent me my aligners. They send you everything that you need for the first 15 weeks, for your top and bottom sets of teeth. Day-to-day, I'll get up in the morning and I'll still have the aligners in from last night. I wear them 22 hours a day, so I wear them the entire time I'm asleep and anytime I'm not eating or drinking something that's not water. I will take them out anytime it's time for me to eat or drink or doing anything else that involves my mouth that you would not want them to get damaged or torn up. The way that Byte described them, they can be somewhat fragile and you don't want them to break and have to wait for more aligners to come in. It is a tight fit because it's moving your teeth around, but I wouldn’t say that it's uncomfortable to take off or put on. And anytime you take them out and eat or drink anything, you have to wash your mouth and make sure everything's clean before you put them back in.

    I've been using it as an incentive to help me diet because it's not really worth it to take your aligners out to eat a bag of chips. You have to brush your teeth, drink a bunch of water, floss, then put them back in. It's not really worth it. And it's helped me a lot since I've lost some weight during this process. Naturally, my teeth are in pretty good shape, but I wanted the front four teeth on the bottom, my central lower teeth, to be a little bit more straight. Because the way that they are naturally, they didn't look as great as I would like it to, and I knew it could if I was to go through this process.

    I've been using the BrightByte that came with the aligners and my teeth have significantly gotten whiter since using them. I always try to make sure that I follow the instructions of making sure that I brush my teeth first, floss, rinse the aligners out, make sure they're good and clean, then squirt some foam in both of them, even it out, make sure that it's got a good amount, and just pop them in. Whenever I pop them in, because the foam is white then it looks whiter immediately. But even once it's long dried out and the cleaner is no longer in my mouth, the teeth themselves have definitely been significantly whiter recently. It has helped my ability to feel confident whenever I smile.

    I've had a great experience with Byte and I would recommend it to others. Recently, I had some dental work done where I had to have a dental crown put on one of my front teeth. When that dental crown came in, it didn't exactly match my old tooth as there are some differences. So, my top rows of aligners don't exactly fit currently and I have to get with the Byte help team to try to see if they can get me some new ones or do a new impression kit for the top so they can make molds that fit that new tooth. But other than that, it's been fantastic.

    Byte responded pretty quickly, and they were offering a discount for the first step. They walked me pretty much through the plan. They sent a kit to do impressions, did the impressions, and then provided me with the treatment plan that asked if I wanted to move forward with the treatment plan. I'm on week 6 of 16, and it seems to be coming along okay. They have some regularly scheduled check-ins where you send them photographs, and they tell you if you’re experiencing any problems, to contact them. So far, it's been pretty seamless for me.

    I’m on the night plan. I wear the aligners 10 hours a night every night. That seemed a little bit easier process for me because I travel for work and often meet with clients. I didn't want to wear the 22 hour, or the daytime ones. I can see that the separation between my teeth is closing, and the alignment closing. Also, Byte gives you a solution that you put into the aligners prior to putting them on, and it has definitely brightened and whitened the teeth. So there are some visible changes taking place.

    Updated on 03/16/2024: This company is terrible in all aspects from sale to service and proper dental treatment. You are sent a mold tray to start. The treatment plan is then set up with 15 weeks, but NO ONE ever comes near to completing the plan in the agreed upon time frame. My approximately 4 month plan lasted 1.5 years without even being close to be corrected. I had to stop the program. Getting out to the program is ridiculous.

    You never actually speak with a person it is all AI and Chat BOT (which they completely deny) however after months of fighting I received partial refund in summer of 2023 and BYTE was to never contact me again. Starting on March 14, 2024 I received text and email from BYTE to purchase a new aligner. I responded to both the email and text with DO NOT CONTACT ME by TEXT, EMAIL, PHONE or USPS. But I then received another email from someone named JENNY who sent my email to managers to rectify my complaint.--- JENNY is not a Real Person. This company has now violated NYS and Federal Regulations of do not contact.

    Original Review: In Spring of 2022 I purchase aligners to straighten my teeth in 3 months as they claim. I answered questions about my dental health and was quickly approved and contacted by sales department. I paid on full, out of pocket. The teeth molding tray arrived and the the set of 15 aligners arrived by mid May 2022. I began the plan. By week 6 I started to question fit but was told it was good and keep on going. Then after 4 weeks I was told to back track to week 6. I was also provided a new kit for a new set of aligners in the early Fall of 2022. This set also had 15 weeks. I moved along then. These also stopped fitting week 6/7 but they didn't tell me this until week 10. At this point it is May 2023. 1 year later with no end in site.

    I also found out I needed an emergency root canal. Byte demanded a note from dentist plus x-rays. Please remember no dentist approval or x-rays were needed to start program. I am seeking to stop the treatment but Byte is not responding or listening. Most responses from Byte do not include a staff member name, are cut/paste generic non answers. I am certain it is AI/Bot communication. Avoid it. Use your local dental offices for aligners.

    Please just go to a dentist office where you can get the customer service needed for such a big investment. I am still waiting for a refund 5 1/2 weeks after cancelling the order before it was even manufactured. I went through the impressions and was setup to have a phone meeting on April 14th with a representative. I stated in my email to the customer service department that I wanted daytime trays. The rep that I had the call with took my HSA card number and processed the charge $2748. My confirmation email the same day and it was for night trays which were $400 more. I immediately contacted Byte via email, text, and a support link to leave a message. No one got back to me to let me know that my order was corrected and that I was refunded the overcharge.

    Text again on Monday the 17th asking for a confirmation that my order has been corrected and "Jamie" stated that he was working on and that he had submitted a refund and would reach out once everything had been corrected. The following Monday, April 24th, I asked for the status. He replied "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry. I will reach out to them right now and see where everything is at". Four days later I still had not received a reply and it had been 13 days since I had reached out to fix the problem. I sent a text, email and tried to call. I stated in my text that I no longer had faith in the company to provide me with the service I had paid for and requested a full refund as my order was never confirmed correctly. No reply.

    On Friday, April 28th, I sent another text and asked why no one will return any of my messages and he actually responded with "Sorry. I sent this over as a tech ticket. The refund was approved on the 17th. I am not sure why it hasn't shown up on your end as of yet" and I sent pictures of my account to prove that I still had not received it. NO REPLY. Monday, May 1st - another text. No reply. Wednesday, May 3rd, another text. My phone number is now on a "do not accept" black list because I no longer receive a menu of items to choose from but goes directly to "extention 0489 is not available". I have left dozens of messages with no return call. I called from my husband's phone, at the menu I chose that I was not a customer but had questions for customer service. I was told that there was a 10 minute wait. 45 minutes later and it is now 7pm when they close and still no answer. I left a message. Still no return reply.

    I have submitted a complaint with the BBB as well. The representative finally answered my text with "the tech team is saying that you should have the refund in the next few days". I thanked him. Friday, May 5th, still no refund. Text again and was sent a screen shot saying 15 days in Refunded, 35 Days in Closed/100% complete. With an answer to call my HSA provider. I did that and was told that nothing has been submitted. I text Jamie again yesterday, May 22nd, still no refund. May 23rd, 5 1/2 weeks later, and I still have not received a refund. No answers from anyone. IF the company processed a refund, it was not to my account.

    All interactions have been pleasant and friendly. I am frustrated primarily with the lack of follow-up. There are required photograph check-ins completed at certain points during treatment and at no time was there indication that there was a problem with the compliance of my alignment. At the end I voiced concern over my alignment and after reviewing photos was told I had to repeat treatment plan. I repeated, and again, no actual follow-up even though I voiced concern that I didn’t feel the photos were actually being reviewed.

    At the end of that treatment I was told I would need to repeat again. I’m a healthcare professional and understand not everyone responds to treatment in the same way, I just am not happy that there’s been a major delay in completing a treatment plan that was supposed to be 4 months long and we are going on 9 months now. I explained the aligners didn’t feel right, that they seemed loose and was told not to worry. Now here we are…

    You get what you pay for and BYTE is not it. Customer service was poor, and communication was abysmal. Trays only fit for a few weeks properly. I followed all the instructions and was told to fall back to old trays and send pictures repeatedly. Ended up with Invisalign, and I am so much happier now with straight teeth.

    I like that if your teeth change after the treatment, Byte will guarantee your smile for life. The process was straightforward. They sent the impression kit and it was easy to do. As soon as I sent it back, it was processed fast. I signed up for the at-night ones. I'm supposed to only have to wear mine 10 hours a day. I use it while I sleep and a little bit into the morning. The actual switching out of the different aligners was totally fine. But I have been experiencing problems with their estimate of how long it would take. I've had to backtrack a couple of times already.

    As I was doing that, they were saying that it looks like my teeth, there were air gaps in the photos on the app. They were telling me to backtrack a few aligners. I did that, and I stayed in each of those aligners for a month instead of two weeks for each of them. Since then, it's been a little complicated. I followed up with photos like they told me to. But I never heard back from anybody. I just went on with my treatment and I'm down to my last set of aligners. I had to go back and forth with customer service over email for over a week with all these random support people. They were telling me they were not going to send my new aligners like the rest of mine that I'm supposed to get because they still saw air gaps. I said, “No, there are no air gaps. Here are more pictures. There's nothing there. How are you basing this? Show me where.” But they couldn't show me and couldn't get back to me.

    They kept bouncing me around from support agents and telling me to backtrack again. I said, "That's not possible. I've been wearing these retainers for over a month when I'm only supposed to be wearing them for 10 days. I've already had to backtrack before." It was a terrible experience from a customer service perspective. I told them, “If you're refusing to send me the rest of my treatment that I've already paid for, put me in touch with a manager or with somebody who can call me and talk to me on the phone.” But they never did that. But somebody randomly got back to me a couple of days later. He said, “Sorry about that. We see that there are no gaps. You just need to send us some more pictures.”

    They have this app and they request that you send them pictures all the time. I only do it every few weeks because every single time that you send them, it is a long process. You have to put in this smile structure thing and take pictures with and without the retainers, on and off. In total, it’s somewhere between 5 and 10 pictures that they want each time. But the way that they want you to upload it is through the app and there are some app issues.

    They won't let you upload a picture. You have to take a picture live in the app. The only way that you can take a picture, for example, is with the selfie view instead of the other way around. This doesn't seem like a big deal, but the problem is the photos are blurry. You can't adjust them. So that was something I continued to call out every single time. It's not also in sync with the actual treatment timing. The app needs some improvement. But the rest of the process was really smooth with getting the actual treatment and ordering it. The quality of the retainers is really great too. So I'm happy with that. It's also good for people who want to be more hands-off and not have to go to a dentist all the time.

    I wanted to improve the alignment of my front lower teeth because of how they had shifted from age and childbirth. I went with Byte and it 's been a seamless and customer-friendly experience. The box that came in was laid out beautifully. It had clear instructions. It was an easy process to do. The returning process was easy as well. There were email notifications about doing pick-up. It lowered any obstacles it would take for someone to figure out how to complete their impressions.

    I have the night aligners that I wear for 10-plus hours. Putting them on, the first few weeks, there wasn't any discomfort. In different weeks, there would be more pressure. I change them every week and I'm wearing week 13 right now. I've taken to putting them on for several hours during the day so that it doesn't disturb my sleep at night. I feel a difference in the alignment in my bite. It has shifted. With this most recent check-in that I had to do due to issues with air bubbles being seen, I had to go back and try to find what was the best fitting alignment set. I found one that was on week six that removed the air bubbles or most of them.

    Initially, everything seemed good. Everybody was very nice. But I was given a time frame of about four months for the full treatment and we're going on almost eight months now and I'm still not even halfway through my treatment. Certain aligners weren't fitting very properly and as time progressed, I'm already in my third set of sending impressions back to get new aligners made. Byte should locally have a place somewhere in each state where you could go and have them professionally take or have impressions made. Because, apparently, it's not working out very well for home impressions. The process of getting to the finish line is challenging. You just get a run-of-the-mill person to speak to when you call on the phone and you only get professional help through emails, which take about a day or so to get back to you, and video chats, which usually take about two days to schedule.

    I just ordered my next set of aligners and the process of that was really easy. I'm a very busy person. I don't have time to go to the dentist and get checked and go through the whole process of Invisalign. So, this was really very much worth it for me. Also, you don't have to pay all of it upfront. They have their payment plans. I feel like if I needed to contact them, they would be very willing to help me just based on my experience. The app reminds me when I need to switch my aligners or when I need to do whatever it is I need to do and it just keeps track. They also make a 3D model to show where you started, and then where you're supposed to be. That's really nice too. Then, you take your progress pictures. I love my results now that I've been using it for a couple of months. I've recommended several people to do it because I don't have any bad things about it.

    I thought doing the molding was gonna be difficult but it was easy. I went with the night aligners and I like that I only have to wear them at night. The dentist was trying to do braces and Invisalign, and with the Invisalign, I have no choice but to do 22 hours a day. So, I was gonna do six months of braces and then another nine months of Invisalign. And with Byte, it's only gonna take me 26 weeks to get my teeth fixed. So, this is something that I've put a lot of thought into. I’m in Week Four of my aligners and in that one tooth that I want fixed, I can floss that tooth now. My teeth are not as crowded as it was.

    The rep was texting me and offered me multiple forms of a payment plan. She told me there was so many ways to go. My dental insurance does not cover online aligners because they all want you to go through your dentist to do all of this stuff. So, I am paying all out of pocket for Byte. But I like that Byte has a 500 which is low. I loved that. 500 is very decent and a low enough credit score to help people get approved for getting their teeth fixed, and that is great.

    Everything was quick and I liked the convenience. Once I initiated contact and they sent me the impression trays, I was going within a month. Also, the reps were very attentive and got back to me right away when I sent a message. I did the nighttime so I didn't have them on all during the day and that was nice too I had some crooked teeth on the bottom and they're straight now. There was a little bump on the road when there was a glitch with the app. It was saying that I'd be done in February and then it said I'd be done in October. I reached out to them, and they got back to me and said there was something going on with the app. They were aware of it. Other than that, I was really pleased with the convenience and the speed.

    I had been interested in starting Invisalign for a few years, so I started researching and came across Byte. They had great reviews, so I decided to call on 5/4/22. The first step was to complete the impression kit. It took about a week to receive it. I did it the same day I got it and sent it off the next day. My initial consultation on 6/13/22 was great. The lady I spoke with was great. She explained the process and the cost of the plan. She said the process would take 25 weeks, and I should reach my goal by the middle of January. I was super excited to start, so I signed up right away. It took about five weeks to receive my aligners. I received them on 7/15/22 and started wearing them immediately. The first few months were so painful. I lost 25 lbs because it hurt too much to eat.

    My teeth hurt (which is to be expected), but the aligners were sharp and kept cutting the inside of my gums. I also developed thrush and blisters all over my mouth, which I believe was from the whitening solution they had me use. Despite all this, I continued wearing my aligners and doing my monthly check-ins because I did notice my bottom teeth getting straighter.

    Let's go back a minute so you can have a better understanding. Before starting the treatment, my bottom teeth were very crooked. However, my top teeth were all straight except the tooth right next to my front one. It was the beginning of December when everything got worse. When I went to change my aligners to the next step, I noticed the tooth on top had not straightened out at all, and to make matters worse, it is now loose (it wiggles), and there is a gap in between my teeth. I immediately call Byte to explain the situation. They told me to take a two-week resting period from the top aligner to see if that would help, so I did. Two weeks passed, and my tooth still wiggled, so I informed them. They told me to extend the resting period, which I did.

    Fast forward to today, 4/23/23, after MANY failed attempts to resolve this issue, I was told they do not cover any outside dental work. They said I will have to pay out of pocket for any/all dental visits and treatments, even though their product caused the problem. So, not only did I suffer for months due to their defective products. I now have to pay out of pocket for dental bills due to their negligence and to top it off, my teeth look worse now than before I started. I wasted 8 months of my life that I could have spent using a product that actually worked and saved myself the pain, money, and headache from dealing with Byte.

    I went to SmileDirectClub and I found their process to be really confusing. I then tried Byte just to see what the heck and I ended up qualifying and getting my impression kit. The impression kit was really easy. They give you a step-by-step direction and you just put the little putty together, put in the little things, and put it in your mouth. It was nothing too complicated. It was easy to follow and it was really fast.

    I'm on the nighttime routine. I just wear the aligners for 10 hours every night and I change them out every week. With my plan specifically, I have to go through 19 weeks. I'm about halfway through right now-ish. I brush my little aligners. Byte gives you a little whitening and cleaning foam you can put in them and then you just wear them. Usually, on the first night, because it's of the new set, they're pretty tight on your teeth. It's not uncomfortable. It's just different because it's like having something really tight on your teeth when you're not used to having something like that. But after the second or third day, your teeth are already fitting in them really well because they're shifting your teeth every week. It hasn't been bad for me. Braces are worse.

    Byte is easy and painless. The customer service care team that you work with in the beginning is really nice and knowledgeable. They walked me through the whole process. There is comfort and ease in the whole process and getting to do it at home rather than having to constantly go to the orthodontist and having to worry about braces. Byte is just way more independent.

    The first part of my process shifted my top teeth and the second part of my process is working more on my bottom, which is where the majority of my bite needed to be fixed. I've only been two or three weeks into my bottom bite. I've seen a shift and this is over a 19-week process. It is really slow but you'll be able to see the results. Plus the little tracker that you can look at and go from zero to the full. However many weeks you have to do it for is really fun to follow. It's pretty accurate with where your teeth are shifting in what week you are. It's like a 3D model thing to look through.

    The process with Byte was very straightforward and easy. They sent a tray with some putty, and I did it on my own at home. It was very easy. I only have to wear the aligners at night instead of all day. So I wear them while I sleep. My teeth are slowly straightening up. I especially feel it after I'm done wearing them every day. I can feel my mouth. I can tell it's affecting it because my gums hurt a little bit. I can tell my teeth are being manipulated. My process is supposed to be completed in June or July. It's a six-month process. So it's not a very long process. There's an app as well that helps you track everything and keep in touch with customer service just in case. It helps you keep track of what day to switch the aligners out and then what your next one is.

    Byte has been really good for me so far. I'm on step 12 now. They had to help me out because I had to redo my impressions. When I first started, I was supposed to be 29 on the top, and 24 on the bottom. Now I'm 19 on both because I had to redo my impressions. They didn't like the way they were looking, so they sent me new stuff to do the impressions again and got me back on track again and didn't charge me extra. I was supposed to end in March but now I'm supposed to end in May. But so far, I’m pleased. My oldest daughter just got started with Byte. She liked the way my teeth was looking after doing them. She did her impressions Sunday night and I mailed them for her on Monday.

    I wanted to get my teeth straighter. My bottom teeth were so crooked and it was hard to keep them clean. Since I've started trying to straighten them, they're straighter now. It's easier to brush and floss them and keep them clean. I like the contract that I have with Byte. I got it where it automatically does the payments for me. I had a little issue with trying to get my card switched over but it wasn't Byte’s fault. I paid twice the $49. So this last month, they just reduced my payment to $25. They made it right for me.

    Everything's going good with Byte. I've had an issue unrelated to the trays. I had an issue with one of my upper molars, but I went to my dentist and it's a root canal thing. That's not attributed to the trays. I'm very happy with the results so far. The way that my teeth were crowded, it was hard to get the toothbrush in there and the floss. So, I feel like this is gonna help me down the road as I get older. So, I'm happy. Byte did a really good job with the fitting and the way the kit came. Everything was there. I like the way it's all organized. I like the way that they had the little nail file thing to trim up some edges. I like it when you guys thought of everything. It was very easy as far as the instructions. With all my questions, they had all the answers ready for me.

    I've had a good experience with Byte. I talked to one guy mostly through text, but I got a phone call too. He was very helpful. The whole process was easy, from getting the kit to doing all that. It's been going well so far. I'm in my ninth week. I can definitely tell that they are moving more, like when I floss, they're not as crowded. I can definitely tell also a bit by looking at them too. I've got till August. The process has been good. I like their app as well. It is user-friendly and it's not difficult for me to remember to change them. They haven't bothered me at night.     Stay away. There are so many other REAL services that are equipped to create aligners for you that you can also put on Care Credit. Byte is a farce and will not provide you with the support or quality that it claims. Was super easy to sign up for the service, very attentive salespeople answered questions quickly and helped me pick out what I needed within days. They clearly spend most of their money on sales and marketing, and then lack any form of actual support. The aligners themselves are fine I guess; clearly 3D printed and probably costs them pennies to produce but it's everything else about this shady and unprofessional company that ruins the experience.

    Each time I need to get in touch with support, I have to fill out generic information and take often completely irrelevant photos. My first time needing support was to ask a very basic question that wasn't listed on their website: how long should I wear each retainer if I can't use the "hyperbyte" (which specifically says should not be used by anyone with TMJ). To ask this question, I had to take like 4 photos of my freaking mouth and answer a bunch of entirely irrelevant questions -- all questions, by the way, that the support team asked me AGAIN in their emails and all questions with information that should be saved to their system already -- which brings me to my next point.

    Byte DOESN'T EVEN SAVE YOUR TREATMENT DATA. As in, support team members can't even look up your treatment plan information. Instead, you have to verbally inform every single person every time you get an email response -- which, for Byte, is NEVER THE SAME PERSON. That's right, when you submit a support request, a new person emails you every single time asking for the same information you just gave the last person. I had a support team member ask me to take photos of my Step 9 aligners... I only had 8 steps. This should be information readily available to a support team and the clear lack of any form of database management for a company that gives medical treatment is severely troubling.

    Also apparently, the check-ins using the Byte app are saved to absolutely nowhere + the questions and photos you have to submit for the support requests are all just a theatrical way to make users think they're tracking information. Every time I've needed any support whether it's just a simple question or a full-on issue, it has taken a minimum of 5 emails (with 5 different people) and two days. At one point, I noticed my aligner had cracked. No problem because I signed up for the service that replaces damaged aligners for free with quote "no questions asked" -- right? Wrong. Over the course of three days, I communicated with multiple people each asking me for a different set of information. You'd think if you needed a list of information from me to replace the aligners, you could ask me for all of that information at the same time, but nope.

    Now I'm on the last set of my aligners and my teeth are not yet straight. Reading some of the other reviews I'm really worried they're going to charge me extra money despite the fact that their treatment plan clearly wasn't accurate in the first place. I've used the retainers as instructed and if I'm charged any amount of extra money I will be raising hell for being charged for a service that was not honored. You don't get to make fake treatment plans that don't straighten people's teeth then charge them extra to straighten their teeth.

    For Byte representatives reading this: You are a medical service, maybe start acting like it. 1) Get a real support team or else lower the number of people you service to account for the size of team you have. 2) Get legitimate database management to protect my medical information but to allow access to basic treatment information (like how many steps are in our treatment or which step we're on). 3) Get rid of your generic support request form (I don't need to upload the same 5 photos every single time I need to submit a support request) OR share the damn form responses with your support team before they email me to ask me *for the exact same information and photos again.* 4) If you're going to make an entire app for users to track their treatment, USE THAT INFORMATION. 5) DO NOT charge people extra money to straighten their teeth when that's what they've paid for in the first place.

    Seemed to be going fine until it was time for them to send my 2nd half of aligners, prior to doing so they needed photos to review. After this I was told we need to "backtrack" and revert to an earlier aligner on my lower and stay on my current on the upper. Now after a constant back and forth request for updated pictures, I literally have been on the same aligners for almost 2 months now without any progress at all. This is starting to feel like a scam, they take your money then hope you'll give up and not have to produce and provide your final aligners. I feel stuck in a endless cycle with no end in sight. Go to someone local that you can physically visit with if you desire aligners.

We are happy to clarify why backtracking is needed, when air gaps are present between your teeth and the aligners, this means that the teeth have fallen slightly behind in the treatment plan. Without resolving the issue, these air gaps will grow larger as you continue to advance through each aligner set. The larger the air gaps become, the less effective the aligners are. By addressing this concern proactively, we can keep you on track to your desired end result without any major setbacks.     I have had braces previously, and simply needed some minor correction on just the lower teeth. I did impressions and got my kit and away I went, it wasn't until the checkups that I started having to interact with both the Byte Care team and their customer service that I realized how badly this could go if my aligners don't get everything the first try. Sadly it didn't fix my teeth, then began the never ending chains of emails, redirecting responses, repeatedly asking for photos that you send the day prior to a different rep. They ask for your "step" you are on, but after 3-4 different plans, and they restart back 1 each time, it's hard to know which one they are referring to. Also taking photos on their horrible app is a horrible experience.

    It is incredibly difficult to capture what they are looking for by yourself, and after you finish their request(s), the next email will just be them asking for the same and additional stuff and so on for as many times as you let it go, before you finally call them and force someone on the phone to help you. The only way to get any type of help from Byte is from their phone line, which is incredibly hard to get a hold of. Finally I gave up as it was effecting my bite, it was hurting to chew. They told me it was fine, but my dentist warned it could cause more damage to my teeth. I finally asked them for just my retainers of the steps I was currently on, which they refuse to do. In short, I feel I have paid for a product to help align/straighten my teeth, with a "guarantee for life". However, they couldn't even do the first part, much less even finish their services by simply giving me my retainers and letting me go get proper help.

Once a new set of aligners has been received the customer will no longer need the previous set.     Updated on 03/11/2023: After 15 weeks of using these aligners, I went on the app and requested the last 3 aligner set. After weeks of waiting, I called them to find out why they were taking so long. Only to find out they wanted me to do pictures and repeat weeks 12. Again, after weeks and weeks and submitting countless photos, no one contacted me with guidance. After telling them that I was going to contact my insurance and credit card company, now they want to ship me the last 3 sets of aligners. These people don’t care about quality of service or about providing a successful treatment. They just want your money. Stay away.

    Original Review: After reaching week 15 on my aligners, the companion treatment app was locked and it took over 3 weeks, and me calling them, for them to tell me I need to re-do some of the previous weeks on my bottom teeth. Now it has been over a week since I spoke to someone and the app is still locked. I’ve sent several emails, requests from the app, I reached out on social media and even called them. NO ONE seems to care or know what to do. Do not waste your money or time. Go with Invisalign.

    I was very excited about Byte, the price was good, the technology (HyperByte) seemed convincing, and the "at-night" approach was very appealing. I was told 7-9 months to a "perfect smile". In hindsight what is clear is that the company did a great job at marketing its solution and a terrible job in planning out how to execute it right.

    Short version – go to a local orthodontist, and you will be MUCH happier in the end.

    Longer version – I am now 2 YEARS into my treatment and, as of today, they are telling me it will be April before I am done. My experience along the way has been very frustrating because you, the patient, must drive everything. Yes, they try to send automated reminders, but they are typically not at the right time or stage you are at. But I have spent SO MUCH time driving the process, and they are slow to respond, that I would have much rather have had a personal experience.

    So was less expensive than going local, yes. But after multiple restarts over 2 years, the frustration, the extra money, the lack of responsiveness, and the overall headache were NOT worth it. With the competition they have in the marketplace today, I don’t see their business model thriving unless they make changes.

    Everything was going great in the beginning and even during my treatment customer service was great. However, I reached the end of my 10-week treatment and my teeth are not straight. I have sent several dead-end emails including pictures and all the information they requested. All of these threads ended in no response. I have called 2 times now without reaching a solution. The first call was the day my treatment plan ended. The second call was two days ago and I have yet to receive any response besides my treatment plan (which ended nearly two weeks ago) being put on hold? I'm confused why this isn't being treated as a bigger problem considering the amount of money I paid for an incomplete service. Nearly two weeks without an answer seems unacceptable. Just to clarify, my teeth are nowhere close to looking like the 3D model I was sold on. I will update with complete information once this has been resolved.

    Do not use Byte. I know the price point is tempting, but I have a valid reason why I do not recommend their service. I submitted all of the required documentation, AND CALLED THE NEXT DAY, to which I was told everything looked great and they should arrive in 3-4 weeks. At week 3, I call. JUST TO BE SAFE. The order was never submitted. I have been in the same bracket for two weeks, and will have to wait another 4 to received the "already confirmed" remaining brackets. These trays are not meant to be used for 6-8 weeks.

    They will not do anything to remedy their wrong, other than say "there's nothing they can do." When I asked for a refund because they did not comply with their treatment best-practices they replied with "In 3-4 business days someone from upper management will send an email." I paid cash, upfront, in full and they just never placed my order. Again, do not use this company. My teeth will not be straight and I'm out all my money.

    Very friendly and communicative customer service (phone, text and email) upfront. But in the end they would not allow me to put a downpayment on the aligners so that I could use my FSA funds before the end of the year. So keep in mind that if you have FSA/HSA money to use up, start the process with Byte at least 2 weeks before the end of the year, if not more. I also recommended that they update their website to make that clearer, since the website indicates that you can pay a downpayment, which would simply be refunded if the orthodontist decides that you are not a candidate. But in speaking with the customer service team, they clarified that you must do the impressions, send them back and the orthodontist has to review everything and approve your care plan before any payment can be made. Odd that they don't offer a downpayment options, but oh well. Will go back to Invisalign!

    I've had issues with 1 tooth since the beginning of my treatment and complained multiple times. They just kept making new impressions of my teeth that still weren't helping. Then they asked me to stop wearing aligners for over 2 months, which made my teeth completely crooked, then told me they could no longer help me and offered a refund, which they previously told me wasn't an option since they offer 100% guarantee. I can't talk to anyone on the phone. When I call, no matter the number they give me, it goes straight to Serena's voicemail who is apparently in charge of my account. I have complained everywhere, but still can't speak to anyone on the phone. No one listens in emails. Don't use them!

    Do not use Byte! They have awful customer service. I had to request my additional aligners to be sent to me and had to speak to a bunch of people from customer service before anyone would respond, which delayed the process. After 28 weeks, my two bottom teeth are still crooked. I reached out to customer service about it and they ignored me for a month. Then they told me it’s because of gapping between the aligners and my teeth, and to wear my prior aligners again. I did that, still crooked. Byte needs to have much better customer service and they need to be more proactive about checking in. Everything is automated so it feels very not personal and it’s a pain to get some help.

    While Byte's aligners mostly did the job, their company makes it difficult. They are so understaffed that everything takes forever. As an example, I received my final retainers a few months ago. There are some sharp edges and gaps that are a QC problem. I wrote to them right away and explained the issue. A few weeks later I had a video chat with one of their specialists that recommended taking new molds for the retainers and said she'd have them sent out soon. She admitted that they had been having problems being responsive because there weren't enough people, but said they had hired a few more and maybe it wouldn't be so bad. More than a month later, still wearing retainers that are cutting my mouth and tongue, they haven't sent the new molding kit. The entire time with them has been like this.

    I used the complete set of Byte aligners for the recommended timeframe. My crooked front tooth straightened somewhat but it was still twisted. However the Hyper Byte vibrating gadget that must be used 20 minutes every day actually loosens your teeth so they can move quickly. My teeth did move, but they remained loose and shifts easily. My dentist said I could eventually lose my front teeth that are not stable. Beware of that hyperbyte.

    Byte customer service and product is an absolute travesty. After 22 weeks of wearing them, the aligners...my teeth are still in the same exact same and position they were in prior to plunking down thousands of dollars. When you speak with their "customer service", and try to explain that their aligners don't fit properly and aren't working, they quickly become condescending, rude and speak down to you like a child. Truly insulting and belittling. You'd be best served by seeing a certified professional orthodontist than working with this fly-by-night organization.

    I foolishly chose to do this rather than Invisalign, because they offer a course with night treatment only, and I have a job where wearing aligners during the day would not work. I'm on tray 25, and have extended the wear on some - per instruction from Byte- for weeks on end. It's been years. And the one crooked tooth I started this whole thing to fix- it's still crooked.

    When their 'treatment plan' doesn't work - which I suspect happens a lot - they require that you send a ton of photos, which in itself isn't unreasonable. But then the response is - go back to your last aligner for longer. Then it's- send us more photos. So I send more photos. Then it's- schedule a video call. So I do that. On the call, I'm told they need me to fill out more paperwork and send MORE photos - this is insane. Then, and only then, will they send a new impression kit. Which I assume will take six weeks to process. I'm beyond done with this process, and have gotten nothing out of it. My teeth were basically fine before, I have one crooked tooth that moved after I had my childhood braces off. Otherwise, no issues. And that tooth is still crooked several thousand dollars and years later.

    TL:DR: Not worth it. Sure, it's cheaper than traditional options, but in the long run you might find yourself having to get traditional braces because Byte cannot fix your smile. It takes forever to hear back from customer service, and when you do, it still takes weeks to receive any new aligners needed. I would absolutely NOT recommend Byte. They ask for reviews from people very early on and I gave them 5 stars in my first reviews. I think this is how they maintain very good ratings, and most people probably do not bother updating their review if things go wrong somewhere down the line. I have been updating all my reviews to 1 star. I was 9 weeks into my 21 week journey with Byte. Everything was going very smoothly with Byte until the end. Somewhere near the end, a bottom tooth of mine got rotated and I could not close my mouth with the tooth like that. This was likely "user error", as I was the one in control of changing my aligners.

    However, as a user, you are told to change your aligners weekly, which is exactly what I did. I was following all the rules they give you - using HyperByte (for probably 30+ minutes) daily, changing aligners weekly, and keeping them in for the maximum time I could each day. However, they do not give enough guidance on signs to look for when changing aligners. I don't think this is a Byte-specific problem though. I have a friend who is doing Invisalign and she had the same problem I did. When I contacted Byte about this, they sent me more aligners to fix this issue. When that set of aligners didn't fix it, another set got sent, then another one, then another one. There was a lot of email communication between us during this time where they tried to help me solve my issue, but the truth is that there are some issues that they cannot solve virtually.

    I sent them pictures and videos of my teeth multiple times, and even had to redo my impressions a couple of times. Today, (Nov 2022), a year and a half after I started Byte, my smile is not fixed. I have gone through 37 top aligners and 46 bottom ones. I was initially told it would be 5 months of treatment, 19 top/21 bottom. Over a year later and double the aligners, my smile is not fixed. I visited an orthodontist today and she said that my actual bite is messed up now and if I do not fix it it will cause jaw pain down the road. I showed her pictures of my teeth before Byte and she agreed that I had no alignment issues prior to starting Byte, so therefore Byte is the reason that my teeth do not align correctly.

    I am not able to move forward with braces until my teeth have moved back into their natural positions, essentially undoing everything that Byte did. The orthodontist said that they are not able to fix my teeth the way they currently are. I will not be continuing with Byte and have requested a refund since the orthodontist recommended that I do not continue with Byte. I will update the review if I am actually able to get a refund.

    I've been in Byte aligners since May of 2021. I've been a diehard supporter of the company, and made many social media posts urging others to use this product. I will no longer be doing this. I have been wearing the same aligners since May 2022, because every time I contact the company, I get a run-around. I use the request form, I send the photos, I get sent a new request form, I send MORE photos, I get shuffled all around and NEVER talk to the same person twice. NOW I AM BEING TOLD I NEED TO START OVER. My teeth are not straight. They are SO CLOSE but not there. My aligners are not straight.

    First they told me I needed to start over because I lost my aligners... What?? I still have every single aligner I was ever given and I never said I lost a single one! Byte then claims I voided the contract by "not contacting them within two weeks of the end of treatment".... I did contact them - and got a runaround for months. I was ALSO told I was to receive 24 steps and I am only on 18 so that's not the end of my treatment. All I want is to finish my treatment, I just want to get what I was promised and what I paid for. Apparently giving folks the runaround and forcing them to "start over" is standard practice for Byte and I'm SUPER disappointed.

    DO NOT DO THIS! I started treatment with Byte in April of 2021 to correct a crooked front tooth and a slight misalignment on the bottom teeth, nothing major. A year and a half later I am left with major issues in the alignment of my teeth leaving me unable to chew my food properly leading to other issues as well such as acid reflux. I questioned the alignment process early on once I began having problems and their initial response was to dismiss it, they told me "it takes time to get used to the new alignment". I insisted something was not right with the way my "treatment" (I use that term cautiously!) was going. They issued me a new set of aligners. I am on my FOURTH set and my teeth are worse than ever! I have NO issues prior to Byte in regards to chewing and now I can't even chew gum due to the air gaps in the way my top and bottom teeth align.

    Customer service is nearly non existent once they have your money, I paid in full up front, no one answers their phone, you are sent to a message center that doesn't work. I never dreamed based on their advertising that I would find myself in such a health dilemma since they say they have "a network of dentists and orthodontists" and treatment is "reviewed and approved by your state-licensed doctor". There is so much more for me to say but I will leave it at this.... DON'T DO IT, get a real orthodontist that can properly monitor your progress!!!

It was 2 months ago. Since that I was charged by Splitit twice and 3rd charge is coming. "Advisor's" responses:"Oh, sorry, we are going to fix it right now". Byte customer support - silence. Splitit only accepts cancellation info from merchant, not from shopper.

    Dead end. Maybe someone is lucky to get their teeth straight with this company. Definitely not me.

    The app is lacking a lot of potential features. For instance, the check ins must be done through the website instead of app, the app only gives you a reminder. Can’t compare progress pics on app, can’t even change the day of the week in which you switch out your aligners. Way too limited in capabilities, it needs to contain the features that are available on the Byte website so it’s streamlined and easier to access. What’s the point of doing some things on the site and others on the app? It’s confusing.

    You can't get anyone on the phone. Then they have scripted email responses that have nothing to do with your concern. And it takes 5-7 days for them to respond to emails. Horrible, horrible customer service. I've been using the aligners for over 1.5 years at this point because they haven't sent the complete set so I have to keep asking for it and that takes even longer. Spend your money somewhere else.

    10/10 customer service. Usually respond within 24 hours. 9/10 app. Initially had issues with checkins but that got resolved within a week of me contacting customer care. 10/10 product. Cheaper than braces and other aligners. No dentist required as they have one within the company and reviews the pictures. Aligners will hurt the first day each week but that’s normal. Swap them out every week. It’s recommended to use hyperbyte to shorten treatment and help with sensitivity. The whitening/cleaning solution that comes with it also works amazingly with no sensitivity. The only issue is you begin to run out of it within 2 months.

    Do not waste your money here for two main reasons. One, your teeth might look pretty, but your bite will be off. Two, worst customer service EVER! Three, they will hold your retainer hostage. I started treatment March 2021. I've been trying to get them to give me my retainer since February. They won't get over the fact that I have a front tooth that won't move, so they just keep sending me new aligners, without doing new impressions.

    I noticed a spot on that tooth and asked my dentist about it. He said the aligners were damaging the enamel on the tooth and that I should stop treatment and move onto my retainers. I have a feeling that since they didn't do impressions for the refinement treatment, they aren't going to do it for a retainer, so I asked for an impression kit. They won't send it to me until I send them a letter from my dentist. I'm not doing it on principal alone. I'm done with treatment and want them to release the death grip they've had on me for two and a half years!!! Been nothing but problems since DAY 1!!!!

    Be warned about this company. They will give you the runaround once they receive your money. I know from experience and I am still disputing my current service. I have FINISHED two (2) sets of aligners and with both completed sets the results did not match what was initially projected. My bottom teeth still are not straight. I find the service I am receiving from BYTE horrible. If you have an issue, the representatives will only speak to you via generic emails. At this time, you cannot speak with their Clinical Support Team. I have begged in emails and by calling the customer service line for someone to reach out and discuss my issue. Not one call back. I spoke today with a customer service supervisor who said I he strongly thinks I would get a call within the hour from the Clinical Support Team as he made a note in my file to expedite my claim. No call, just two generic emails today saying they may implement a call system soon. It’s unacceptable.

    In my first set of aligners when there was an issue, after disputing with customer service, I was finally given a link to schedule a call with Clinical Support. I’m not sure why that service is no longer offered but that should be an essential part of treatment. I have explicitly followed the instructions given by the staff throughout 9 months treatments and on multiple emails have received conflicting information about my treatment. In my latest email received the representative mentioned issues with my TOP aligners. The completely wrong set! It’s frustrating as I can’t reach out to the associates as it is a just a generic email. My treatment keeps getting prolonged as I wait days for a new response.

    This company lacks communication and customer service skills. I don’t believe it is unreasonable to ask a company that you have purchased a service and an additional extended warranty program for a call back to discuss treatment. I recommend going through a dentist where at least you have an office with regular visits to monitor your treatment.

    Byte operates as if they are scammers. You will be unable to connect with anyone at the company by phone, email, text, Facebook. Nothing. Absolute silence. They will follow up and communicate in every way up until payment is made then after you will be ghosted. My account manager and I discussed payment and we agreed upon the monthly payment plan for 36 months. Byte decided to charge my card $2974 with the first initial payment including interest.     Waste of money. They find every excuse to void guarantee if there is an issue. Instead, they will ask to pay additional $699 to fix aligners error they made in a first place. I followed treatment plan as instructed. Ordered retainers because they told me. Then I contacted them about bottom teeth still being out of place. I have contacted them before 14 days of treatment completion as instructed. After 2 months of sending duplicates of photos per their request, they eventually send me an email stating that because I ordered my retainers before reaching them first if forfeits guarantee. There is nowhere in their website states that. I ordered retainers because they told me so and I have answered in their useless treatment app that treatment was not satisfactory beforehand. Now they want an additional $699 if I want results they promised in a first place. And now they are ignoring my response. Complete waste of money.

    I do not usually post reviews, but want to provide my honest experience for others. I chose Byte mainly because supposed to be shorter time and supposingly their hyperbyte is to help that. This is very false. My teeth were never horrible to begin with. I am going on year 3 and the delays are horrible between trying to get ahold of anyone and anything moving to get next set of aligners. Hyperbyte does not do anything better or speed the process up. Use it or not you will feel the same aligner loose when time to change in a week.

    Byte made my lower teeth worse at first pushing my tooth down into my gums and then after straightening best can they said they cannot move it up. I have been told can stop when satisfied with teeth to receive retainer, but when I stopped on a lower aligner and communicating for a month now I am now told my account will be voided as have to finish the whole treatment plan although I have been expressing for over a year at least my lower teeth did not need moved anymore as the trouble I am having is my upper teeth yet they continued to send me more lower aligners than upper aligners so makes no sense and waste of time.

    My account was to be expedited with management although they still use same one generic email address everyone is on and make a note in subject of email. Very unprofessional and actually takes longer to get a response and always same thing repeated. So now instead of voiding my future Byte lifetime guarantee to just finish my upper aligners that they held my last 5 aligners out of 20 I was informed, now telling me would void my account as of now and would need to pay a re-entry cost just to finish my last few upper aligners if not continue lower treatment although lower teeth best they have been so have to risk messing them up again.

    I am now going to continue my lower aligners as they are giving me no other option or taking anything into consideration as my lower teeth I am satisfied with and my bite is good the same as just saw my dentist too. They were moving my lower teeth worse again, but they want me to do that so will see. I was informed someone just pushes a button and the computer produces outcome from an employee so. Nobody will ask you to get on a call and video your teeth after this many years to get anything right which is beyond unprofessional to be in this business when customers are not being seen in the office. You would think if they cared they would. This is just the worst experience I have had. Ruined a lot of things for me taking this long for no good reason.

    I looked into Byte aligners to correct my crowding issue. Byte advertises a "100% risk-free guarantee" so I went for it. I submitted my impressions and I will say the customer service and support for this part was really good. I ended up not being a good candidate for Byte aligners which was fine. I requested a refund for the impressions as promised, but I was denied. The reason given was that I was approved for aligners on the top but not my bottom teeth. I was not interested in only doing half of my mouth, for $2,700, especially since my bottom teeth are my main concern. They offered $300 off treatment, but to me, I would only be getting half of a treatment...pretty disappointing.

    I like many others had a good experience in the beginning, only to go downhill the longer the treatment went on. My first set fit and felt great. The aligners extended around my molars and felt strong and well made. After about 8 weeks they did an evaluation of progress and determined my teeth weren't tracking as expected and did another impression to adjust treatment. The new aligners seemed to be made with cheaper materials and didn't extend around the molars, making them weaker. Since they were cheaper and weaker, they stretched and my teeth didn't track correctly. I tried to get them to give me better aligners but they said they were made correctly and refused. They also said they had different manufacturers and couldn't control which would actually make them. They also said that my impressions were the reason they didn't extend around molars.

    I kept wearing them, but my teeth were not moving correctly. When I got the next box, they were magically made correctly, extending around molar, even though they used the same impressions as previous. Since they were stronger, they really made my teeth hurt because they hadn't tracked in previous set. It took a month to get anyone to listen and finally make new impressions. But then I was back to the same problem of cheaply made aligners, only worse. They used less material and some were J shaped, covering more teeth on one side than the other. Again, they said they were made correctly and refused to remake them.

    A few weeks later I ended up needing a root canal. I believe the poorly made aligners added to the problem. Now they are refusing to update my treatment plan until I provide them with a Official treatment plan from dentist with official company letterhead. I do not have this document. I sent them the email with all the details or findings and treatment, just no letterhead. Still waiting weeks to get any kind of response. I am so disgusted with this company, poor product and customer service.

I should have seen this as getting an orthodontist to speak over the phone from the beginning is incredibly difficult, but seems to be nearly impossibly once you submit payment/start service.     I started my Byte journey in 2020 and it is now 2022... I initially found Byte online and was impressed by the reviews, so I decided to try them because I wanted to fix my teeth. When I ordered the kit in April 2020, the customer service was AMAZING. The representatives were responsive and prompt. I got my first set of trays and everything was going ok until it was time for them to send my second round of trays. From there everything went downhill... I was supposed to get my second set in August.

    I called them and let them know that I would be moving and gave them my new address, never received my trays. I moved to a different state and there was no way possible for me to get my aligners. I kept calling and emailing them back and they kept saying that they were not ready. I literally had to wear the same trays until October when they sent out the new trays. When I got the new trays none of them fit literally. It was 10 weeks of trays and they were all horrible and falling out of my mouth.

    These trays that were sent out were different from the original trays I received, when comparing them, these were cheap and actually looked completely different. I contacted them again. The responses got slower. I had to keep leaving voicemails. I was so annoyed. When I finally got in contact with them they said I had to wait another 6-8 weeks for new trays. I did not get my new trays until April 2021. I had my old trays so long that I lost one and when I asked for a replacement I was told I would have to pay $175. Really?? I've been wearing the same tray for weeks and due to their error and wanted to charge me that amount for one tray.

    I finally got my new trays months later and they actually fit and I thought I could finally get my teeth where they needed to be. I had to stop using my trays because now my jaw is locking, when I'm eating I have to open my mouth wide due to chewing my jaw locks up. My jaw is continuously locked, as I talk my jaw clicks, brushing my teeth is a hassle and painful, and I'm literally back at square one with my teeth. I can say this has been a horrible experience with potentially permanent effects on my mouth and everyday activities. Just choose somewhere else, it's really not worth it.

    Customer service is non-existent, you can't call them anymore and it takes them a week to respond to your emails. Byte caused an open bite on my back molars since I started them 1.5 years ago, and they have been giving me the run around for over 6 months now. They tell me "wear them only at night for a few weeks" then tell me "stop wearing them completely for a few weeks" and just rotate back and forth between this while claiming my open bite will fix its self over time. it hasn't gotten any better in the last 6 months and they won't let me move forward with having new molds made for new trays. I have sent photo after photo and video after video and I'm getting nowhere.

    I was first very excited with the company and its guarantees. I had a small issue with my hyperbyte and it was replaced with no problem. Well I got in a bad car accident that caused me to lose a tooth. I've been going back and forth since early May and still no solution. I asked to do a new impression since I'm missing a tooth and can no longer use the aligners I have. I submitted all needed paperwork multiple times about work done and an X-ray showing the missing tooth. Every time I receive an e-mail I'm either asked for the same info again or they randomly bring up something else out of the blue that's need. I've asked for a partial refund and was told no. I feel completely taken advantage of by people that choose not to do their job. Also the phone line has been down since mid-May. Every time I call it directs me to the website to speak with customer service. The Byte for life guarantee is a joke.

    The salesperson was really great at their job. They made me think that this company had superb customer support. That's how they get you.     I initially was quite pleased with Byte and the stellar customer service I received prior to making the purchase. After is a completely different story. My aligners have no been fitting for the last 6 weeks, and something is clearly wrong, but I have gotten short responses by different people just asking for more information, a week apart. This is horrible customer service. My bite is completely screwed up and my back teeth and front teeth are no longer touching. These people clearly don’t know what they are doing. I wish that I had spent the extra money to purchase Invisalign so I could be reassured that those who actually know what they are doing would be checking up on my teeth through the process. My bite has been completely destroyed and I have yet to get any real answers from anyone. Beware before using this company! Once they take your money, the follow through is deplorable.

    During the onboarding process, customer service was excellent and timely. They were very friendly and wanted to get me in their aligners ASAP. However, if the first set of aligners do not end up working perfectly for you, it goes downhill quickly from there. If the first set of aligners do not straighten your teeth to your satisfaction, you have to submit a customer service request to them for another set of aligners; however, you probably won't get your new aligners for well over a month after you submit your request. Furthermore, customer service goes from top-notch during onboarding to absolute garbage during remediation requests.

    I was initially quoted 3 months for my entire treatment and it's been over a year now and my teeth are still not straight. It's been over a month since I submitted a request for my FOURTH set of aligners and they're still telling me to wait another week just for a response to my request. I'm so frustrated at this point that I just want a refund and seek treatment with a traditional orthodontist but they told me they don't do refunds so BUYER BEWARE. If BYTE aligners do not straighten your teeth out in the first iteration, just know it'll be hell dealing with the company from there. I regret having tried Byte and not pursuing treatment with a traditional orthodontist despite the higher costs.

    Everything was off to a good start, but then I ran out of aligners. It took them about six weeks to send new ones. Then the new ones ran out and I have had to roll back six weeks of treatment because the aligners are cracking from what I am guessing is wearing so much. The biggest complaint is no customer support, I promise. Just email their support before you purchase. I have had zero responses via email or phone now for six weeks. Only automated replies. Save your money. Go elsewhere.

    I finished my set of aligners on February 21, 2022. It was a fast process because my bite wasn't complicated: a small overbite and a gap between my front teeth. It should have been an easy fix. However, I realized that Byte's treatment plan had caused my front teeth to meet edge-to-edge, and my back teeth not longer met at all. It made eating and living my daily life very difficult. I contacted them via email. They are always very slow to respond, but when they finally did, they recommended I take ibuprofen. I had to explain *again* that pain was not the issue. The issue was that my teeth and bite no longer functioned properly. After another LONG wait, they had me upload photos and videos of my ruined bite. They asked that I go with no aligners for two weeks and then send them more photos and videos. I did that.

    Since that time, they have asked me to upload photos and videos after every single email I send them, even inquiries about how much longer it's going to take for them to answer the previous email! It has been three months since my initial complaint, and absolutely no progress has been made. They just keep asking me to send photos of my upper and lower teeth. Every time I take new photos and send them, and they tell me they'll review the photos and provide further instructions. And yet, here I am. Back to nearly where I started in the whole process. (I had to go all the way back to week 8 aligners on both top and bottom.)

    Do not spend money with this company. Their customer service is slow to respond, and it doesn't seem as if anyone in the customer care team has any kind of dental training. I was even able to explain the issue after looking at the 3D model of my teeth/progress plan and what they'd done to my mouth. I honestly believe they make most of their money by providing such poor service most people just give up after a while. It's no wonder they don't offer refunds, given their utter incompetence in both dental practice and customer service.

The first set was the first 15 aligners. I emailed with issues of excessive bleeding on 1/9/2021. Explained blood was coming out from around the teeth and filling up his aligners. No cuts or abrasions. The teeth were moving, loose and bleeding. Was told it was normal. The bleeding was sporadic, we left some in for 2 weeks instead of the 1 week. Thought this might help the bleeding and loose teeth if it were more gradual.

    On 4/14 I had emailed, we were on week 12/15. 4/19 they requested updated photos of his teeth. Had to resend them 3 times, as they were having "technical difficulties" over 3 weeks, they acknowledged the receipt on 5/9. Stated it would be 3-4 weeks before the other liners to be shipped and continue to wear step 15 aligners until we started the next step so he didn't lose progress. We were happy to leave the step 15 in and it seemed to help ease the bleeding and some discomfort. In the meantime, we received the 2nd shipment. Because he was getting so much relief from staying in step 15 he continued to use them until October.

    On 10/12 I messaged them that we had went to transition to the next aligners and they did not fit. They requested we fill out a Professional care support request, which we did immediately. On 10/19 I emailed them to follow up, as I hadn't heard back. They stated that they had sent an email. I received it later that day. They were requesting more photos/info, I sent. On 10/26 they requested MORE photos/info, I sent. They had us trim the liners/use warm water to get them to fit -did not work. We had to do new impressions. After receiving them they did not fit either.

    Meanwhile he was in the step 15 so long he got a bad mouth infection. Doctor believes from wearing same liners too long, they have bacteria build-up. Since the "new" liners don't fit again, we just want a refund. Upon denial, I filed a complaint with The BBB. They keep replying to my case that they will reach out to me, but I have not gotten any new correspondence. I know they offer a lifetime guarantee, but that doesn't mean much if the aligners don't fit. I would highly recommend choosing a different company.

    So far my experience has been positive. There are things here and there that could be improved on just for ease of use. We're supposed to keep all the aligners but the packages are not resealable. This means, in addition to keeping the aligners (and for myself, the packaging to keep them in order), I also need to get and keep a zip lock bag for each set as well. If the original pouch that it came in was resealable, it would just be more convenient and less wasteful. Another thing that would be useful would be if it came with more than one file for the aligners. I have an 18-week plan but need to file the rougher edges for each one and it dulls the file pretty quickly. I've had a great experience so far, but just a few things that I think might improve the experience for future users!

    I am VERY dissatisfied with Byte. After sending in my impressions and pictures I was told I was good. So I paid $1900.00 and when I got my aligners I only received them for my top teeth. After emails and trying to get ahold of Byte by phone, which no one would ever answer... I finally heard from them saying I was only good for single arch because my bottom tooth was too complex. They didn't give me the option to continue or cancel. Why would I pay $1900.00 to fix 2 teeth on top when my bottom teeth are what I really wanted straightened. I told them I have tried 2 weeks of the top aligners and now that my tooth is moved a little bit it hits my bottom tooth when I eat and scrapes and hurts. I asked to be reimbursed because I was told everything was good then they just decide I would pay for what???? Only fixing my top teeth??

    I would have preferred if they turned me down initially so I could use the money to go to a dentist since that's what they told me I would need to do AFTER they kept my money and sent me top aligners. I wish I would've read other complaints through the Better Business Bureau, I wouldn't be out $1900.00 that I really shouldn't have spent. To fix only upper teeth..... really???? Come on Byte. Admit it, you are wrong!!!!

Started on week one, 2nd day my top retainer cracked. I called and they told me to go to the next weeks retainer (week 2). After one night, my 2nd retainer cracked in almost the same spot.     Painful experience to me but I think that’s just braces. Wish there was a custom book for your Byte plan that would be nice. Would like to see instructions for each step, maybe a animated Byte profile of your smile change per step. My aligners crack easily after about 4 days of use however it’s working so far. Customer service is great until you purchase. Their 1800 day and 2300 night, I would choose the night program if I could go back and do it again, they’re uncomfortable to talk with.

    I went ahead and purchased the impression kit because I thought, this is guaranteed to be refunded if I don’t qualify, what do I have to lose? They started with a questionnaire asking what I want to improve and I explained I wanted to improve my Bite. Ironically, I only found out after returning my impressions and getting my results, that this company called Byte, can’t do anything to actually improve your bite. The movements they were making were purely cosmetic. I had braces as a teenager and had a permanent bar installed until last year, so let me tell you, these movements were minimal. They said if I want to improve my bite, I need to see an orthodontist.

    I then asked for a refund on my impression kit since they can’t improve what I came to them for. I was told that since they are able to cosmetically move my front teeth, I do qualify, and so can’t get a refund. So in other words, they never have to refund the impression kit because I would bet they can always move at least one tooth. What a scam. I’m so glad that I didn’t have to find out their practices after paying them the full price. That would have stung a lot more than just the price of the impression kit.

    It's been terribly disappointing and annoying. I started in April 2021 and my original plan would've had me done in August 2021. Because they don't have enough customer service reps to handle their email volume, any time I had an issue, I could count on at least 8-10 days before someone responded and then at least another 4-6 weeks before anything meaningful actually happened (yes, I understand there's a process to making additional refinement aligners and then shipping them but basically 6-8 weeks from the time I flag an issue to that issue being resolved is ridiculous).

    They also aren't consistent in their instructions. I was told during a professional care call to respond to an email she sent me when I was done with my current set of retainers if my bite was still off. I did that, and then got an autoresponse with some ** statistics about people feeling like their bite is off and that if I needed more help to fill out a form for a customer care call. So I did that but then had to wait a few days for that appointment just to be told to fill out ANOTHER evaluation and likely wait at least a month for more aligners to come.

    Based on that convo, I'm also worried that the issues their aligners created with my bite (a top tooth is hitting a bottom tooth now to the point where I can't fully bite down when I chew - it takes me forever to eat a meal) won't actually be fixed. They gave me this legalese nonsense about not being able to fix my jaw and only being able to straighten my teeth. Well, that tooth never hit my bottom teeth before, but now it is - and if there was a risk of that, should I really have been a candidate? I'm really hoping this won't be an ongoing issue, but based on my experience, I'm not holding my breath. I would really love to just be able to eat like a normal person again. I should've just gone with Invisalign so that I could've had an actual dentist to talk to regularly.

    I gave them my $2000+ dollars and they've disappeared. I was supposed to get my aligners 4-6 weeks after I provided my impressions. It's been 8 weeks. I've tried calling my "advisor" 10+ times in the last three weeks. No response. I've tried texting him -- no response. I've tried reaching out on their Facebook IM support line 3 times and all I get is a bot response that simply says "Someone will get back to you within 24-48 hours." I've tried reaching out via their website contact us and support forms. No response. I've tried writing on their Facebook wall 3 times only to have my posts removed. They took my $2000+ and I have no product and nothing to show for it. Next comes legal action.

    I have the night aligners. I've had to go back twice because a week is not long enough for my teeth to move.     The aligners don’t fit the bottom of my teeth properly. A lot of air gaps between my and aligners. No one has followed up to see how things are going. And you expect us to wear these things 22-23 hrs a day when you can eat with them on or drink certain beverages with them on.
