Extremely disappointing experience with Audien Hearing. The customer service was poor from start to finish. When the product didn’t work out for us, we were told we were approved for a refund and even had to complete a Zoom call to get that approval. After we shipped the hearing aids back, Audien still refused to issue the refund and then expected me to pay to have the devices shipped back to me. Completely unreasonable and frustrating. I would not recommend this company to anyone based on their lack of support and unwillingness to stand behind their product.

This product + company are a complete fraud. If the volume on the aids exceeds 30%, they start to whistle loudly, which can be heard by those around you. Whenever you remove the ads from the case, the volume % stops working. They are very uncomfortable, regardless of the tip used. Plus, I only noticed marginal hearing improvement. On top of that, you'll be inundated with repeated texts and calls wanting you to buy more! (I received over 250!) Save your money!

I purchased a pair of Audien Ion Pro over-the-ear hearing aids in April 2025. I like the sound quality and the Bluetooth feature, but the battery life is terrible. They say they're supposed to get up to 16 hours on a charge (a full charge takes about three hours), but even with a mid-day recharge I'm lucky if I get 12 hours of use at times. Some days are better, but often not.

When I contacted them to see what could be done, they advised me that they no longer make that model (the new one is the Ion 2), but they would examine mine to see if there was a defect. But they wanted $14.00 first. So I stupidly agreed to pay the fee. They sent me a return shipping label, but before I could get to the UPS store, they emailed me and told me there was nothing they could do. I called and asked for a refund of my $14.00, but I haven't seen it yet. I've filed a dispute against the charge with my credit union.

Audien Hearing is using their Atom One $99 hearing aid as a come on to sucker elderly, challenged, low income individuals to buy so they can hound you for upgrades. They advertise these hearing aids with a 45 day money back guarantee which they refuse to honor. I purchased a set on their questionable web site that collected your information including billing info, they then forced you to navigate through a series of upgrade screens. As soon as you declined any upgrades they processed the order without an opportunity to cancel. An immediate call to customer service to cancel the order is futile. I became suspicious and contacted the BBB only to find there is 471 complaints in their database. The complaints range from inferior sound, failure within weeks, not working on arrival, etc.

Customer service and failure to honor the 45 day money back guarantee are also listed. It seems that the 45 day money back guarantee is only good if you participate in a video conference which they record and only then if they agree to a return. The conference call turns into a hard sell upgrade scam. Reviews for this company are good, However the good reviews are for the $400+ hearing aids. You have to look at the BBB site to discover the truth about their deceptive practices. I refused to participate in their conference call and they refuse to refund my money.

I ordered the new Atom X. I've been using "in the ear" hearing aids for over 5 years and thought I could save some $$$ by purchasing OTC hearing aids. BIG MISTAKE! The hearing aids don't work. They squeal when the volume is set at 20%. They are junk. Their 45 day return policy is a lie. They will not issue a refund under any circumstances. Read their reviews on Trustpilot. You can easily tell the reviews they wrote vs the real reviews. They should be investigated. I requested a return, and they said I had to take a class. When you sign up for the class, they don't show up. UNSCRUPULOUS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

I started requesting return of PRO 2 hearing aids within 30 days, I was ignored for 3 weeks. Then Finally had someone email me after I complained to BBB, only to tell me I had to meet with specialist to discuss options, even though I mentioned in all emails the hearing aids do not work for my mother, they are too big and fall out. But took time from work to do the video conference, only to be stood up. No one showed up from Audien and now they are telling me it is beyond the 45 days, and I cannot return, even though I started asking for return before 30 days and took time to meet with their specialist. SCAMMERS.

I found what I thought would be the answer to our (my husband and myself) hearing issues. We were thrilled to give it a try. They did not work for us. We asked for a refund and of course was talked into a higher quality pair of hearing aids, which of course cost more. We really wanted the hearing aids to work. We received our new hearing aids and my husband was able to wear the behind the ear hearing aids, but I was still only able to have the sounds amplified; all of the sounds. They also interfered with my glasses. I gave it my all and really tried to make it work.

I contacted the company for a refund and because I missed the return date by 2 days they have declined my return. I explained to them that I wanted to try as long as I could, because I already knew they were going to talk me into keeping them and trying something different, probably more expensive as well. I did not try to contact them over the weekend nor on the following Monday because of the holiday. Needless to say, they are standing firm on NOT refunding my money. I mean, come on, seriously?

I purchased the Audien Atom Pro 2 in the ear hearing aids which I tried for 3 weeks. My ear canals are small and the hearing aids loosed in my ear providing feedback. I had a free specialist consultation where I expressed this concern. She suggested that I might want to purchase a behind the ear aid. I said I would think about this. I later decided that I do not want a behind the ear hearing aid. I got on line to ask for a refund and here is where their support fails. You text to a bot. Who texts you back until they agree to allow you to speak to a specialist for $5 that is refundable.

But when you go to pay you find the fee is actually $51. The $5 refundable amount and $46 to join JustAnswer. And that $46 is a monthly charge unless you cancel. So to get your refund it will cost you $51 if you cancel your subscription to Just Answer. To get a refund one should not have to pay to join anything. Maybe a mailing charge but not a fee like this. Unless you are absolutely know you're going to like the hearing aids I would not purchase from this company.

After purchasing two of the $98 models which did provide a little increase in hearing about two years ago, I decided to purchase the upgraded ATOM 2 models this past year. Despite every attempt, changing ear pieces, replacing every wax guard that came with the units and numerous calls to the help number which judging by the heavy accent of the person I was speaking to was based somewhere in the Orient, I was never able to stop the annoying high pitched squealing that emanated from them every time I wore them. I requested a return And sent them back as per instructions on 07/14/2025. On of this writing have still not received a response or a refund.

I purchased the Atom Pro for my wife on 7/4/25, she tried them for over a week but could not get use to them in the ear, she ended up with outside the ear aids. I called Audien on 7/25 to get a return authorization # on their 45 day back money guarantee, you're not given the option to speak to anyone. I e-mailed them several times and finally received an e-mail back from a Mica. He assured me someone from their team would contact me and help me get them returned, that's the last I heard from anyone. It's now 8/21 and I have yet to hear from anyone and the warranty expired on 8/17.
