It smells like a wet dog in the restaurant.. I’m here to have a heart transplant and wanted to eat my favorite before surgery…which was their pancakes.. I reach to pour the syrup it’s nothing but water and syrup… I asked the waitress to taste the syrup. She replied that’s exactly what it’s water and syrup.. It’s like the diluted the syrup with water… The waitress continues to bring me a total of 5 different syrup.. All the same. Management did not come out when I asked to speak with them. They just told her to remake my meal.. There wasn’t a point in remaking the meal if the syrup wasn’t right..

They was not busy at all for the manager not to come out to see what a customer wants. It was my husband and I and 2 other guys in the whole IHOP. She did not want to refund me my money.. But the kind waitress removed the meal because she knew it wasn’t being handled right by management… This date visited was September 18 around 10:30. My husband had the steak meal and I had pancakes and a burger.

With inflation skyrocketing, all restaurants and stores have increased their prices. IHop has made a tactical sales error in raising their beverage costs far too high, and leaving food lower. If they would lower the cost of a beverage (from the $4.09 now) by $1.50 to $2.59 - and raise all their meal prices by this same $1.50 - they would stay level - and probably increase sales. $4.09 is just too high for a glass of soda or cup of coffee - and take my word for it - this is scaring customers away.

    ARRIVED - 10:25 PM. The following is a time-line of my final visit at the IHop located on Sunland Park Dr. in El Paso Tx. 07/06/23. Arrived (approx)- 10:20. Seated - 10:32 PM Wait staff Arrived- 10:47 PM. Drinks Arrived - 11:09 PM. Food Arrived. - 11:36 PM. 2nd Plate (corrected)- 11:41 PM. This has become the norm when visiting this franchise. The customer service is always horrific in one way or another. Either due to an abundance of staff "that seemed like they didn't want to be there" or not enough staff Killing themselves to get customers served.

    The aforementioned example is what I experienced on my visit to the IHop in El Paso on last night. The initial wait to be seated in a less than 10% capacitance restaurant was bad enough. I witnessed 4 groups (including myself) stuck there waiting to be seated more than 10 mins. Once seated the real mental struggle began. I witnessed one guy seating customers, taking orders, delivering plates to tables and at the end of my visit seemingly acting as the busboy.

    We sat approximately another 15 minutes before being attended to, the entire time watching others arrive and going through the exact same experience I had encountered. When food did arrive 76 minutes after my initial arrival and 64 minutes after being seated. The item ordered was Miles away from what was showcased on the menu. The water had a minor attitude, and understandably so, being he was technically running the restaurant himself. I often wondered when the waiter would disappear for minutes at a time, if he wasn';t actually cooking the food as well.

    The IHOP on Bellaire in Richmond is HORRIBLE. I should have followed my first mind and left when I got there. After I was seated, I asked where the restroom was so I could wash my hands. To my surprise, there was no soap or hand sanitizer in the women's restroom. I walk towards a couple of waitresses and asked "Why isn't there any soap in the women's restroom?" They said people steal it. They directed me to the hand sanitizer dispenser by the hostess station. It was empty as well. I asked the hostess, how did they wash their hands, how did they keep them clean? There was no hand sanitizer in the entire restaurant. The manager brought a bottle of soap out of the kitchen and put it in the women's restaurant.

    I washed my hands and sat at my table. I sat and sat and sat. I called the manager over after sitting for 58 minutes. Once I received my food, it was cold. I asked the manager if she could heat it up in the microwave for 2 minutes. She did and said she would give a discount for the inconvenience. I got my check and saw $1.33 discount. I would NEVER go to this IHOP again! Like I said, I should've followed my first mind and left when I got there.

    I-Hop is overpriced food. It cost me $35 for a ham & cheese omelet, hash browns, toast and 1 waffle and ice tea. That's before any tip. They have the balls to charge $10.99 per waffle. And the so-called manager doesn't have a clue. I will never spend another dime in their restaurant. I can't believe they can stay in business robbing customers like this.

    "I am very disappointed in the organization and the individual franchises' ability to choose when to honor the military discount policy. I had lunch with my mother the other day, and being over 55 years old, I ordered from the 55+ menu, which means that the meal is not discounted, and you only get smaller portions for what you are paying for. When I inquired about the military discount, the manager stated that it was already discounted. I explained that the meal was cheaper because of the smaller portion sizes and not the same as any other meals on the menu. He replied, 'Sorry, that is the policy.' So I called corporate, and they stated that they cannot force any franchise to do anything different from other stores. Furthermore, it's not their policy to give a discount on top of a meal that is already discounted.

    The truth is that we have forgotten what so many have fought for, and we don't care that there are people who will put their lives in danger and give the ultimate sacrifice, even if that means they have to die for this country. Being a combat veteran or a veteran doesn't mean anything in the times we are living in. Let's hope that we don't have a WWIII, and then when your company goes out of business, you don't stand on the sidelines and cry. Location: 35 S Homestead Blvd, Homestead, FL 33030."

    Wow, I have not been to an IHOP in years, and this will be the last time ever. I was in Bullhead City, AZ, and it was close. My granddaughter likes it, so why not? The whole experience was terrible, right from the get go. Not enough staff, long waits, messed up orders, sub-par food. This meal cost $60 and I think it was worth about $20. What a horror. The funny thing is that my daughter happened to be in Sedona, AZ at the same time, eating at one for the first time ever, and her experience was almost identical to mine! Bad service, long waits, and food that was not as ordered or described. She said to me, "I don't think they know what a burrito is." This was her first and last IHOP experience. People, don't go. Take my advice---almost anywhere else will be better!

    My wife and I were having lunch today (March 7, 2023) at the IHOP located at 11100 SW 93ct RD in Ocala Florida. At about 2:10 PM a couple came in with a dog. This dog had a vest on that read "Support". They were allowed to be seated two tables from us. This dog was clearly not a trained Service dog as defined in Florida law. The dog was pulling on its leash and when the couple sat down the dog shook itself like a dog will do when it is wet. After seeing this my wife could not finish her lunch and we left.

    It would be nice if IHOP employees were trained to know what a Service dog is under Florida Law and not allow other dogs to be brought inside to be around food when people are trying to eat. It was clear from the discussing the couple had with the server this was not the first time they had brought the dog into this IHOP. Florida like all States have laws that allow a true trained Service dog to allowed in restaurants and most all other places. However Florida law does not allow this access to "Support" dogs. My wife and I are very disappointed in this IHOP and doubt if we will go back.

    I've had 4 orders delivered from IHOP and 3 or of the 4 orders were incomplete. Of the 3 incomplete orders they have not given me GRAVY for my Chicken Fried Steak! They've also substituted items I ordered, like the Jumbo Sausage subbed by regular Pork Sausage. With three orders of hot cakes, they did get the syrup right but gave me ONE butter. The ONLY order they got right was #3 out of the 4, because I contacted the Manager, before; during; and after the order by phone to make sure they got it right. I should NOT have to talk them through getting an order right. DO YOUR JOBS!!! SEE CHK #**. Web Order #**

    Food quality issues, rude loud mouth waitress. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Rude waitress didn’t bring what we asked her for then when the butter tasted like pure sodium she dismissed it and told me there was nothing wrong with it. Didn’t bring check boxes. Trust and believe you don’t want this experience for a 50 dollar breakfast. Never again and Shelby ** you should be more concerned about what that loud mouth did to us instead of asking what we did to her.
