Poor service, dirty floor, not practicing social distancing. Waitress for area was visiting w/ family, not caring for other tables. 30 min. Waiter # 2 took order, promised coffee refills. Never returned. Other customers were seated within 3 feet of our table. Food & trash were on seats & floor. Staff unconcerned. Stated a large group was in other side of building and waiter was moved to that area.
Got my order after 3 hrs.
I oredered online in IHOP website then after 30 mins not received my order I called them but transferred me to Grubhub. I called GrubHub which transfer me back to IHOP. Until now, I have no food no refund. So inconvenient and waste of money and time.
I always loved this place but this last time it was a disgrace, waited for table then they brought us to the table still with stuff left from last customer not even sanitized, I waited and asked to have the table wiped then I notice they was doing to another table too but I guess the customer did not noticed, the waiter wiped my table and and while was wet she put the menus that got all soak and she expected us to seat then. Another waiter dry it out the table when I appreciated for it, I told them. I was not supposed have to tell them to have the table sanitized and ready before bring a customer to the table.
Honestly I was so disappointed because I noticed they was not sanitizing the tables at all and the service was horrible. My daughter got chicken fingers that was hard to eat and my son asked for chocolate chip pancakes and it came chocolate pancakes. It was such of waste of my money with such a terrible service. I was used to go there on Sundays after church with my kids. Now I just have to go someone else with Covid, restriction and sanitized.
I signed up for a free stack of pancakes on 10/31/20. In the IHOP website it is advertised that "You can get the free stack NOW" after signing up. I did not receive any coupon via my email immediately. Instead, literally 24 hours later, I received a coupon voucher to be used at an address in Glendale, CA. My address is in Austin, Tx and my address is saved in the IHOPmembership too. Today 11/3/20, I spoke with a "Josh" about still not receiving that coupon. He stated that he is the supervisor but that it would take another 2-3 days to receive the coupon with the corrected address. I find utterly surprising as all of this is done electronically. Meaning that coupon is most likely in a template and just the wording would need rectifying. What a disappointment and quite frankly false advertising on IHOP.
The IHOP in Bellmead, TX is not a place I would recommend. A friend and I ate there on 10/29/30 and it took at least 12 minutes to be acknowledged. Common sense is to at least acknowledge the customer to say, I'll be with you shortly or something of that nature rather than say nothing. The customer service and food quality confirmed that was my third and final time visiting this specific location. It has been disappointment after disappointment. To the Management of IHOP, please find out and correct whatever happened when IHOP moved from the Baylor location to the Bellmead location. It is not the same and needs an overhaul to bring this IHOP back up to standards. Thank you.
I was at Ihop last night October 21, 2020 in Culpeper, Va. I was dinner and across from me there were two ladies. Four waitresses came out and sang Happy Birthday to her. I took my grandson there for his Birthday on October 7, 2020. I told the waitress that it was his Birthday. So she didn't know for sure if they could sing too. So she went and asked the Manager. She came and said that they aren't doing the singing because of the Virus. She did bring him ice cream. But I just think it was rude. I do like their food. But the pancakes are too dry.
I and my family of 6 went to iHop in Racine as they were closed down for a while I wanted to go as they were back up and running! I have never had such horrible service in life! First when we walked in we were greeted by being told in a rude way that my daughter needed a mask as she left it in the van. We should have left right then and there. But didn’t! We then waited forever to be seated. There was only us and another family in the whole restaurant!
Then Took 15 minutes for drinks and it Should never take 40 minutes for burgers and breakfast food! No phones were ringing nobody else came into the restaurant either it was ridiculous on how long we waited Never again! Meanwhile my 2 year old was screaming like crazy because he was hungry... Then the waiter Brought us the food with no silverware! Never got refills. Never was asked if we needed boxes. 55.00$ I could of spent somewhere else! I will never ever go back to this restaurant. I didn’t even want to tip and I have never felt like this before I always tip so well!
I ordered breakfast four hours prior to pick up from IHOP on Cobb Dr Smyrna, Ga on a Saturday morning requesting curbside pick up. When I arrived I called the posted number but was disconnected without any reason. I tried two more times with no success. When I went in they seemed welcoming but oblivious of the absence of curbside pick up. I guess it's just a gimmick to get you to choose ihop over other places.
For the Ihop in Tucson Arizona on Broadway. Regardless of the Covid19 pandemic, the cleanliness of the restaurant is bad and this is especially directed at the tables, plates, glasses and silverware. It was still showing on the glass someone else's lip marks when they brought my water. I asked for another glass and same thing. Everything was super spotted and didn't feel clean or any measures to prevent the spread of the virus. They wore masks, but that is the only thing I saw they made sure of.
The quality of food and flavor was horrible. Way too much butter and grease was used and the butter was either old or added something slimy and sweet. Service from the waitress was slower than a snail. I saw my plate literally sitting in the kitchen window for 15 minutes before it was brought to me. Plate was hot, but not the food. On top of this, there were only 3 customers and 3 waitresses, so there was no excuse for not tending to the customers. I'm scared that with the incomplete proper cleaning of food dishes and cooking that I am still exposed to the virus. Please clean up and check cooking techniques and cleaning.
Phone wasn't answered. Management was very nasty. Told me I could get hit by a car as I requested that he correct his ordering service. Talked nastily to me in front of various customers and gave me only half of my order. Service terrible and manager was VERY NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL! PLEASE CORRECT THIS. JERSEY CITY ROUTE 440 STORE. RATING = 0.
My family and I chose IHOP in McMinnville to have breakfast today and we are very disappointed. Our server had a rude and uninviting attitude and body language when we were not ready to order at her first check in. When requested ahead of time to split the check between two sets of four meals, she seemed inconvenienced and had a snide comment "I guess." The server never came to refill coffee or ask if we needed anything.
Our Omelettes were cold. I had asked at time of order for bacon to be added to my omelet and when it came it had none. Another server saw me looking around for help and she asked if everything was alright and I told her our issue. At that time our server came over briefly and when I told that there was no bacon she walked away and stated loudly and embarrassingly that "she would pay for it." When our server came back to bring us the check she stated again without needing too loudly and rudely again that she had paid for the bacon (nobody needed her to pay for bacon that was never added in the first place).
I was completely appalled and dissatisfied at her level of customer service and her general attitude. I don't usually make it a point to complain or reach out if I have a bad experience, but this experience was not acceptable and our server in my opinion is hurting your business. This is a time that I feel support to local businesses is very important, unfortunately I highly doubt I will ever return. I also feel compelled to tell others how I was treated.
We are retired, we use to eat at IHOP a lot now and think, the last two times we have eaten there, we received little good at a an high price. We will not eat there again. The service is very slow. Only 4 tables are filled and servers are slow. Waited a good five minutes to have my drink refilled. Sorry to see this restaurant go downhill.
You are my favorite restaurant! I barely ever get to go to this restaurant because it is expensive but I still love it! The pancakes are my favorite food there and my whole family loves IHOP. If you haven't gone there before you are missing out. I don't know one person who doesn't like IHOP.
Yes it’s February 25th and it’s National Pancake Day. But dies IHOP bother telling the pancakes are Free! But you can’t take them to go. One must eat them at there qualifying restaurants. It would have been nice to know this little fact. Some of us have to work through the week. It’s difficult to take time off during the day and stop by one of your restaurants and be waited on. They should at least notify the public that the pancakes are free. But one must eat them inside their restaurant. It’s embarrassing to show up and be told you can’t get a free stack unless you eat them here. Not cool!
My husband and I just got home from a great experience at IHOP in Pasco, Washington. The food was delicious and the service outstanding; however, our server Kevin took the time to visit for just a few moments and treat us as guests. His smile was contagious and dialogue involved some good human time spent together. We will plan some future travel to this IHOP as we live in the area. We just hope Kevin will be our server again.
Wife and I while on vacation to visit a family friend who lives in McMinnville came to this IHOP to eat. The young man that waited on us was very polite but just OFF. Food was served that wasn't ordered, Food that was ordered came wrong, and a salad was delivered 10 minutes after the meal came. To make a long story short a meal wasn't eaten and when we went to pay the bill they refused to remove the incorrect/uneaten meal of roughly $15. The manager ((Samantha ??)) comes out huffs and puffs and FINALLY removes the incorrect/uneaten meal from our tab. And although service was BAD We STILL TIPPED $7.00.
The very next day our Mcminnville host took us to Dallas, Oregon for lunch. While dining we received a call from her 28 year old daughter who was at IHOP getting her child some pancakes. She informed us that right now in the moment the manager ((Samantha?)) is loudly and belligerently complaining to her "Regulars" about this group that wanted "Everything Free" the night before, and how she had to "Take their salad back". She went on to say "There was just no pleasing them", blah blah blah. Again, She is stating all this very loudly, and unknowingly in front of a family friend/Mcminnville resident. I call this manager ((Samantha??)) and tell her that I don't find her actions to be professional, to which she replies "Your family shouldn't of been eavesdropping" and "I'm sorry YOU feel that way".
Days later we fly back to Phoenix and get in touch with a guy that claims to be the Manager of IHOP for the whole state of Oregon ((Gordon)). I relay our experience to him and he runs that whole "That's Unacceptable" and "I can't tell you what I'll be doing but I will be handle this" spiel. When I ask him to completely refund our meal cost either by refund or gift card he absolutely refuses and states that he doesn't do that. So in other words, he expected to dazzle us with BS and THAT would resolve or make up for the horrible experience at his store.
When I told him that that wasn't acceptable and that I would reach out to corporate he stated "Go ahead, it will just come back to me". He then said he was "Done with this conversation" and hung up on me. At no time did I raise my voice, nor curse at this man. So for this state district manager to just rudely hang up on a customer because they stated "That's not acceptable", just shows the character of whos running the IHOP stores in Oregon. So Before I start writing reviews and to the BBB, I figured I'd better get the correct name of the manager at IHOP in Mcminnville.
So I call, A woman answers, and I ask, "Hi, can I get the managers name please." This woman responds "That's me, what do you want "?? I ask, "Can I get your name maam?" She states "Why do you need my name"?? I tell her that I'm filing a complaint and that I'd just like to know the name of the person that I'm filing a complaint upon, and all I am asking for is the managers FIRST name, why is that so difficult???
She then spouts off with... "I know who you are and about your complaint, you are HARRASSING US, don't call here again!!!" and hangs up. Weird thing about it this woman wasn't even the manager that I was complaining about. This woman's name was "Kelsey". I've never spoken to her before, and like I said she wasn't even the manager in question. Way to jump right in there and get YOURSELF squarely in the middle of a complaint " KELSEY", HA!!
Anyways the manager that gave us horrible service, and then followed it up with loudly bitching and complaining about it to her regulars the next day. AND OUR Mcminnville family friend, well that manager's name is "Samatha". So to Kelsey, Samantha, and Gordon ((the supposed Manager of all IHOPS in the state of Oregon)) I would strongly recommend that you take up a refresher course in customer service, or if not, perhaps a job at the local truck stop would suit your behavior better. Our treatment was uncalled for, and rather than just refund us they refused to do ANYTHING, and then insulted us even more.
Great food and food choices. My only recommendation is to use real butter in the preparation and serving of their foods. Warm syrup and consistency in food prep have been reasons that we keep going back.
Customer service is the difference. A smile for starters then genuine courtesy. I always felt that the waitstaff didn’t want to be at work and certainly doesn’t care about the customer. How can they expect a tip if they have not provided good service? There were times two employees would have a a conversation with each other and ignore me until I spoke up and said excuse me. That’s unacceptable to see the customer (without acknowledgment) and continue with their conversation. It was rude. I could go on and on but great customer service goes a long way especially towards repeat customers and maintaining or increasing the customer base.
I recently visited the new IHOP location in Lincoln Rhode Island and I didn't realize that the food was going to be that great. My expectations were a lot lower. The service was great. The atmosphere was great. The food was awesome. The selection was pretty good. I thought they actually have a burger that's better than Five Guys. It's just great.
My husband and I usually enjoy breakfast a couple of mornings a week at McMinnville OR, IHOP. I particularly enjoy the harvest grain pancakes, however order only 2. We find the food delicious and promptly brought to our table from the grill just as we order it. Eggs are always cooked as ordered, as is all of the food. Coffee is not bitter with carafe being regularly refilled. Servers are very congenial, most times calling us by name, and serve us with a smile. New servers are always aided by either a seasoned server or store manager. Manager always walks through several times, greeting people, oftentimes by name. We have eaten at IHOP in Twin Falls, ID and Bend OR and have received excellent service and food at those locations. The online coupons are also Great!
It would be nice if we could substitute other sides for eggs as not everyone eats eggs. And expand the variety of the beverage menu. More free refills for the beverage menu would be great! Cameras in the restaurant were an effective way to get good customer service and good food but you took them out. Bad move!
IHOP has great pancakes and other breakfast food. Most IHOPs are clean and have good service but I have been to some that are not. For a while I avoided IHOP restaurants but I have found nicer ones lately; so I am a customer again. I really like the newer wheat pancakes.
Just an average experience overall...the service is usually average at best...attention to detail is average as well...whether you’re dining in or ordering online. Denny’s pancakes taste better in comparison. But the kids enjoy it so we continue to go there.
I'm pretty impressed with the quality of food at IHOP. The menu selection is diverse and I can usually find something I'd like. More often than not though the staff is terrible, making it a not-so-great experience. Not sure if they're understaffed or undertrained but I'm unimpressed. Also, I feel like I'm paying for a lot of unnecessary food. Expensive meals that are way too huge to eat anyway. I'd rather pay less and have a more reasonable portion size.
The first time I went to the one in Germantown, I sat down and was looking at the menu. It felt greasy so I went to wipe it off and then she brought the water. The glass was streaked and filmy. I then opened the flatware and it had water spots on it. Got up and left immediately and will never go back. If the table is that dirty I get sick at my stomach thinking about the kitchen.
I appreciate the variety of pancakes. It's their differentiator and is what keeps us going. The pricing is fair too. However, some IHOPS are better than others. I always go to reviews to help make the final decision.
Decent family restaurant with good quality breakfast and variety of pancakes. But not a fan of the lunch or dinner. Staff are helpful and even in peak hours when the place overloaded with customers, they are professional.
They have a great selection and I end up eating too much when I'm there. I love their combination plates and will always go there for breakfast and brunch. I have had a few occasions to go there for dinner and the selection is fine for me.
The Breakfast & Dinner menus have a great selections for both Adults & Children at reasonable prices. Servers are always friendly & give great service. The food is always served fresh & hot. The restaurant always has clean tables & floors.
Great breakfast, good selection, and very fast service. Usually go to place when we travel. I like their prices too. Lunch is just ok and we have never ate dinner at IHOP. There are locations all over U.S.
We had a party of four, first the waitress acted like she couldn't speak english. We had to beg for refills. Quality of food is not what it used to be. A couple got burgers & fries, I got a bacon lettuce, and tomato grease dripping from the bacon...
We always love to going to IHOP, being that we can’t make it as often as we like, so when we do go it’s always a treat. The Pancakes & French toast are the best as well as the coffee. And it’s also very affordable.
IHOP really is dedicated to keeping its stores clean. I have not seen one where it is not clean. I have moved to another state and I still see the same wonderful clean place even here in the new state no matter which IHOP I order from.
We have visited IHOP several times lately and each time the breakfast is cold. We are not happy as we like eating there. The service is generally great, but cold food turns us away. We may try it again, but it will be awhile.
Ordered omelette with hash brown and they got omelette with pancakes. Then they took forever to bring the hash brown. Waited for another 10 minutes to just get the hashbrown. Had to again wait for ketchup.
I’ve been a long time fan of IHOP. I’m a breakfast lover and really like their pancakes. However, their menu is very diverse if you’re not wanting breakfast items. They have season specials that are tasty and fun. Good value for the money...you’ll never leave hungry.
IHOP is always great and they make sure to really take care of their patrons. They’re a cut above the rest in the crowded sea of restaurant chains. We support them because they really care about their customers who keep them in business!
The IHOP on Mills Civic is my favorite restaurant. The food is perfect and very helpful staff. I was in there last week with a client and he commented on the excellent food and customer service. I provided an extra tip.
I always go here when I'm on a business trip because it's familiar and you know you can always get a delicious meal. I can't wait until the Fall when I can have their pumpkin pancakes with a large variety of syrups. Love it here.
Food, service, and value all above expectations. The service was phenomenal. Always is tremendously great. Love the ultimate breakfast. 2 bacon, 2 ham, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, scrambled hash browns, 3 pancakes and syrup, wheat toast pancakes are fantastic. Great value for the money.
Me and my family enjoy eating at Ihop. I think for a primarily breakfast spot they do offer a lot of different options. They have recently increased the options on their lunch and dinner menus which is awesome. Feeding a family of 4 sometimes gets rather expensive, but I can always count on being able to go to ihop and staying within my budget. I also see where they have increased coupons. I usually go to a restaurant and download their app if there is one available, so that I can have the options of their coupons or specials. Ihop offers these options also.
I also do the surveys at the end of my receipt to receive my free stack of pancakes... It might not seem like a lot but it adds up rather quickly so any savings is a plus. Customer service is pretty decent. Can't really say that I had any major issues. All in all I would say ihop is a good choice to take your family to eat and not have to worry with spending a whole lot of money and the food taste great!!!! You will definitely leave full...
The wait in getting a table isn't too bad, about 15 minutes. The thing I like most about IHOP is having the coffee carafe left there at your table for refills. Their breakfasts come to your table nice and warm, unlike some other chains I've gone to. The lunches served are tasty, as well, with a nice selection to choose from. Nice place to visit with the kiddos.
The value for the food served is great, however sometimes the food is cold because the waitresses are so busy and forget. But they are very knowledgeable about the menu items, options and add-ons. Some are friendly and some are just courteous. The food choices are great especially for those like myself that are health conscious but it would be great if you had a variety of herbal teas, I am not a coffee drinker. To sum it up the restaurant is always busy so the food is good, and affordable especially for big families. The service just needs to be a little faster and some of the waitresses and hosts should smile, it goes a long way. Thank You and Happy Holidays to All!
My experience at IHOP always the best. The waitress have good customer service. I'll take IHOP over Waffle House and Huddle House. I love myself some pancakes from IHOP. My family loves going and my friends and coworkers.
Great place to eat. Great menu selections. Service always on par. Also the food is exceptional. And I mean it. About 3 different locations Surrounding Austin Texas and they’re all really good locations that are consistent well flavored. Once again great service. The pricing is perfect. IHOP just want my best places to go now and then I’m going to get real food.
If you're looking for a good breakfast restaurant then IHOP is your place. They have a good selection for breakfast and also lunch and dinner. They are open pretty much all the time so you can almost always get in there for a meal.
I like iHop because of their varied menu, endless coffee, relaxing table service atmosphere. I regularly order their chicken and waffles, or pancakes and sausage or bacon and eggs. All are made to order at a reasonable price.
Each place that I have lived over the years has had a IHOP very close or fairly close. Some where wonderful and a few were very unwonderful. However, where I now live in Bremerton there is no IHOP but there is one right down the road in Silverdale. It is by far the best IHOP I have been to in years. The welcoming staff couldn't be better but the waitstaff actually outdoes them. Love going there and have never been unsatisfied. With the amount I usually eat there, your prize could take care of at least a half dozen visits.
There's pancakes and there's waffles. I've had both of them at International House of Pancakes, YUMMY to say the least. These pancakes and waffles are the best I have ever eaten. There's so many selections to choose from, it's very hard to pick one dish.
Although we only go to IHOP for special occasions, they are the only chain that offers crepes with Lingonberry sauce. It is my favorite breakfast so we go there when we are celebrating. They have a myriad of breakfast foods of great quality, however, i feel they are quite a bit more expensive than their competition.
There is a decent selection of breakfast foods. Too many would deter from the quality and too few would send the prospective customer to another restaurant. The amount of food on the plate is perfect. Seldom is something ordered not prepared correctly. It might be a good idea if the restaurants were just a tad cleaner but they are not so dirty as to scare away patrons. Very kid-friendly.
Service is always great and the staff is friendly and helpful and the counter is always very clean always dressed to their company code. Management always has great control of operations. The outside of the building is very clean so that’s a good sign of feeling like it is going to be nice on the inside. I would recommend this establishment to all my friends and family. Keep up the nice work and never let down on service. Always strive for 10 nothing less.
Well I think the prices are too much! And not all locations have consistent food quality and service can vary state to state and country to country. I hope they can lower prices then I will return and enjoy the restaurant again!
They know how to do pancakes and the best thing, you can have them all day long. Other items are good - I had a burger a few weeks back and it was pretty decent. Had other breakfast items and they can be hit or miss. Not a big fan of their bacon.
Food was very good, the waiter and receptionist were more than helpful and friendly. I would recommend them to everyone. My food was served very quickly and was very hot, as it should be.
Welcoming, great service, good food and value. We will definitely go back. Had great contact with person taking our name prior to being served. Our server was welcoming, easy to understand and him understand us. Came back periodically to see all ok even though it was extremely busy. Had not been there in years and was pleasantly surprised.
Food is good, servers are polite for the most part. I wish they would have military discounts every day, not the days when soldiers cannot go.
I live IHOP'S breakfast and it’s one of my favorite places for valued food. The service isn’t the best in the world but still not bad. My favorites are their omelettes. Just a overall good place to go on a budget.
I have found the food is of good quality but the preparation is inconsistent. The service has always been very good. I menu selection is better than the usual diner for breakfast as it has the option of ordering combinations of eggs and pancakes without the need to order a side of one or the other.
I've eaten at IHOP about once a month this year and purchase the senior discount meals, particularly the turkey dinner. It's very filling and I really am grateful for the reasonable price. I intend to keep returning there for their good food.
Serving size and quality is pretty good for the price, with varieties of other options but pancakes and waffles. Kids usually love this place. Give it a try. I'm a regular customer of the branch located in 6th St in New Westminster, BC.
The best all around restaurant for your money. You can take your family there. You can even go there for holidays. It's festive. It's very friendly. The waitresses are awesome and the food is great. The prices are very reasonable. What more would you want.
IHOP offers a great menu at reasonable cost. I particularly appreciate the Seniors’ special menu. IHOP understands that seniors do not eat as much as we age and we have limited income. This special menu is perfect. Food items are consistently good so we know what to expect. I am fortunate to have an IHOP within three miles of me, but would drive further for its offerings.
We live iHop yet wonder about one location that went downhill in a bad way. Overall for iHop we love the menu, the value, the wait staff and the customer service. We are older and especially like the senior part of the menu.
The service is lousy. The prices are too high. The food is never how you order. IHOP in Tuscaloosa, Al will never go there again. The restaurant was not clean, and tidy bathroom was terrible. Stalls had no tissues paper all over floor. Did not smell clean.
I rate the restaurant absolutely horrible! My family and I had just arrived in West Palm Beach Florida from San Jose, Costa Rica. We flew into FLL and arrived in WPB at 10pm. After checking into the Holiday Inn Palm Beach-Airport Conference Center location, we were starving. The hotel's restaurant was closed. We had noticed an IHOP right down the street, so we decided to go there. It was only 2 blocks away. The parking lot was deserted. After parking and getting out the car to enter the restaurant, we saw 2 employees exit the restaurant at a back door to go smoke.
After going into the restaurant, there were two or three tables with customers already seated. The restaurant was very rundown and did not have a good smell. It smelled dirty. We saw only 1 waitress getting food for customers. There was no hostess. After standing there several minutes, no one came to greet us or even acknowledged that we had entered the restaurant. So we decided to leave and go somewhere else. Upon leaving the restaurant, we noticed 1 of the employees that had left earlier to go smoke, leaning on a rail smoking and talking on her mobile. Like I said, absolutely horrible service and cleanliness of the restaurant. DO NOT VISIT THIS IHOP.
I've eaten at IHop a number of times because my friend likes it. I get the basic 2 eggs special. My friend gets the Fancy Pancakes or Crepes which are loaded with unhealthy trans fat and huge amounts of sugar. A super unhealthy combination of useless empty calories. Their coffee is very good though not worth coming for. My choice was fair and also not worth coming back for
Great place to go for good food in a good atmosphere. I've always liked the variety of food choices. Customer Service is ALWAYS fantastic. I think to make it outstanding, it's important to remember your roots and where you come from, instead of trying to re-invent (remember IHOb?) Staying competitive is important and I have no doubt that IHOP will continue to improve and strive for the best, but remember your base and what brings you to popularity.
Took my parents to eat at the IHOP at Epps Bridge Rd, Athens, GA. Walked in the door, noticed there was a plastic odor. Was seated, waited for the server, the odor was ever present. Placed our order. When the food arrived, IT had that god awful plastic odor. The oil the cooks are using reeks of a plastic smell, the food tasted like plastic, was terrible. I sent my plate back, to be taken off our bill. My parents picked at their food, too polite to send it back. I told the server the food was awful. The whole feel to the place was like a dead zone. No good food smells, just that plastic odor. Never stepping foot into another IHOP. The chain has really hit the skids. Used to be a really great place to eat.
IHOP delivers a great breakfast at a reasonable price. The service is always good and the servers are pleasant. When comparing breakfasts from the drive through McDonalds or Burger King the value and quality is much better at IHOP.
Always had a good experience at IHOP as the waitress is timely and makes sure my water is filled and everything okay. Not a long wait for the food even when they are fairly busy, and the food is prepared very well. Love the pancakes.
The Garden City Kansas IHOP always greets us as we walk in. They check on us during our visit to make sure we are happy with their food and service. They make us feel important and valued as customers.
I eat at IHop often especially when taking children out for breakfast/brunch. It is convenient, the service is good, menu, food choices and value are good. Also cleanliness is very important to me. I generally eat at the South Shore mall location which is kept clean including the bathrooms.
This is the only local restaurant where I feel comfortable eating alone. I do not like sitting at the bar on a stool or as in others it's not uncommon to be seated at a small two chair table, and all too often next to the kitchen entrances with the waiter staff going in and out seemingly without end.
The IHOP on Staten Island shut down because it was dirty and infested with germs. Pancakes are great, but keep it clean. Otherwise, great food chain, but nobody is eating there if it’s dirty! I recommend cleaning several times a day!
The IHOP I go to is real good as far as getting seated promptly. The wait staff seem to be in such a hurry all the time when taking an order then the food takes longer than it should. I have had to send back an order because the waitress wrote the item incorrectly. Then after I got home I realized I paid for the wrong meal, not what I had to wait longer for. I did not call as it was not more than $1.60 more and it was not worth it. Perhaps she was having a bad day. The bathroom generally smells as if there is a sewer problem. Other than that it’s all good.
They have good breakfast food but are overpriced in every area. Their service is above average but it is not exceptional. It is clean and not a super long wait during peak times. Usually clearly seen from highway and good access. Parking is above average. Wait staff can be involved elsewhere and not available for a while.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. You can get breakfast or burgers at anytime of the day. I have never had a bad meal there. Food portions are large. I usually take about 1/2 of my meal home. So I really get 2 meals for the price of one. Wait staff are friendly and helpful. If you ask they even have flavored creamers for your coffee! They give you a pitcher of coffee. They will also refill it for free. Their decaf coffee is never old and yucky. The place is kid friendly. They give a coloring placemat, a small box of crayons to kids. I often find coupons in my local paper for buy one meal, get another free. I often take my 90 year old neighbor there for brunch.
Waiting over 40 minutes for a Belgian Waffle Combo and 1 Belgian Waffle, the food was cold; so I requested a new order. I advised the so-called manager I didn't want the food reheated, but a brand new order. She said she would make a new order, but she brought the same cold order. This is a newly opened IHOP in Lovejoy, GA. This was the worst customer service that I have ever received in a Ihop. The management and waitstaff needs to be trained in good customer service and time-management skills. Although I only live 5 minutes away, I will go back to the Fayetteville Ihop. Since I was unable to rate this store less than one star, I used one star; but my rating really is 0-stars. Receipt #**, Dec. 28, 2019 @ 10:51 A.M. I don't know how to download receipt or add photos to this review.
I have frequent many IHOPs in many different states however the customer seems consistent. Often the servers seems unhappy, no communication with other employees, often argues in front of customers and food is cold. If you inquire or ask for something additional most acts like your bothering them or it takes another 15 minutes to receive it.
This is a wonderful family restaurant. They tolerate my four children under 6 with ease and nothing ruffles them. They are able to make going out to eat with four kids fun for Mom and Dad! Also the buy an adult meal get a kids meal free helps it be a great value for the money. We never leave hungry.
Terrible service. Hash browns came out burned. Ask for replacement. Took 15 minutes and came out cold. This took place at 4187 N Oracle Rd, Tucson AZ 85705. This was around 7 pm. Everyone in the same area received their food at a decent time, ate and left. Instead of my waitress bringing my replacement hash browns, a waiter bought it and said said they were busy. I once worked as a cook, and I know when busy is busy.
This chain could/should be much better than it actually is. When there for breakfast, the dining rooms are too small for the crowd and it takes a while to be seated in their small waiting area. If their takeout system was properly organized, I would gladly use it.
Love the iHop in Newark, NJ! They offer home delivery as well as catfish! The service is excellent, and is the best iHop we've ever been to (we've been to 7 others). Waiters and waitresses are very attentive. The food is excellent, and, always hot upon presentation. The most perfect restaurant we've been to! We've had fish, chicken, roast beef, every version of eggs, and the omelette share superb! Bacon and sausage links are never overdone! My fave place on the planet!
My last visit, I waited about 15 mins before any one asked me anything. The security guard acted more like he knew more than the actual workers. The server was very nonchalant. The steak was too salty. The pancakes were very good. The place wasn’t clean. I took my order to go.
Great Experience. Would definitely recommend this IHOP. Great atmosphere, clean, and Macy our server was amazing. She has a great personality as a server. She also created a spec... Date of visit: December 2019
My husband and I visited IHOP in Houma, LA on MLK Blvd. tonight. We both submitted our order thinking this would be a quick meal. My husband and I waited about 30 minutes before only my husband meal was served. I had to wait for mine. My husband finished his meal before my meal was served. My meal came only with the entree and I didn't get my side until I was halfway through my meal. I do not blame the waitress, but I do blame management. There were about 6 waitresses on duty with only 2 cooks in the back. The establishment was not busy with many empty tables. Customers who entered way after we did got their meal and I still waited. I asked for a to go box because I was too frustrated to even finish my meal. I have been told by friends and family that they no longer visit IHOP because the wait for their food is unreasonable. I will not be visiting IHOP again!!
Visited Ihop in VA, Centreville location, and had a problem with hot chocolate to go. I opened the cap and confirmed that there wasn’t whipped cream or any decorative topping inside. As I almost finished my drink, I started to feel a number of lumps. Inside, there were floating hydrophobic lumps, and greasy and thick fat layer stuck to lower inside of my cup. Contacted Ihop, and they said it’s whipped cream. Their reply was more disgusting than those lumps inside of my to go cup. A terrible experience.
My family and I went for a early morning breakfast after a 6 hours drive into Atlanta. We waited 45 minutes and there was only one more couple in the restaurant as customers. I saw my Order when it was ready and tells the server. She say, "Give me a minute." 10 minutes later she brought our food. Everything was cold. The Hash Brown was so hard my husband couldn’t cut it with the knife. We reached out to the server who turn us over to another employee, there was lots of worker in the store there was no reason for us to be treated that way. I visited Atlanta at least once monthly and I will never go there again. We Had no choice but to pay for our drinks and leave. No apologies or even try to fix their mistake..
My daughter and friends plus parents went to the Hermitage Ihop. We had roughly 50 people total but the servers were terrible! Some of the people didn’t get their food or drinks 2 hours later. We spoke with the manager but he didn’t care at all! He said we should have called ahead so they could be prepared and the service would have been better. I’m sorry but they were extremely slow because it was 10:30 at night and they no customers to wait on. I’ll never go back to this location again!
I went to IHOP on Veterans Day 2019 in Gainesville Florida. As to be expected, the place was packed because IHOP had a special for veterans. The red, white and blue breakfast. Even though they were swamped and the wait was a little long my server was wonderful and the food was worth the wait. I just wanted to let IHOP know that the troops appreciate them. Thank you again.
I traveled from Austin TX to Houston Tx today. A friend paid for my lynch. As it's a Sunday they are fairly busy. I asked for a table for 1 and to hold the food till I was seated. They bypassed me then the greeter handed me a to go cup of coffee. I told her I wanted to be seated. She sat me in one if their huge tables where I was immediately booted by the hostess. I was then told to go back I was on the list. I watched them seat numerous people before grudgingly seating me. I had to ask 4 times to see a manager. THE manager seated me, gave me a few sugar and eventually some cream. He also took my to go soup they handed me when I sat and put it in a bowl. Not 1 waitress has checked on me in 2 hrs. I have not left to see if they do. Well back to the manager I go. I asked for a refill on my coffee twice now. No coffee.
The service was great, the bill was outrageous, my husband ordered Fisherman's Platter, he got 5 shrimp and 2 triangle shaped fish maybe haddock. Couldn't tell. Looked like the ones I buy at Walmart, the first time I went when they had just opened, the size of my burger was way bigger, now the bun is bigger than my 10 dollar hamb well steakhouse, but I was sad. I a hoping they have lessons on what they serve, maybe I personally will never return, I should have known. The parking lot was empty for a Sunday afternoon even, 99s was packed people waiting outside,, well they won't be in business for long. Short lived and small meals. Big prices.
We waited for forty minutes to be served, while other customers were served that hat had come in after us. My husband received his egg burned. And my French toast was way underdone. I have pictures. Then we waited on the manager to comp the meal, we finally just left.
My wife and I used to go to IHOP at least once a week for years. Then, several months ago I found that the food took a turn for the worst. The main thing was the hash browns. The best thing I like about breakfast. They served a small, square portion that tasted terrible. Plus the breakfast was not warm. I complained about it and was told they no longer make their hash browns from scratch and now used frozen hash browns. That ruined my breakfast experience. I then tried them again due to receiving a gift card for my birthday from my daughter. Again, I asked about whether the hash browns were made there or frozen. I was told it was frozen. That to me is not a real breakfast from a restaurant of their caliber, and I do not ever plan on eating there again if they have to go that cheap.
I told my daughter, even though I greatly appreciated the gift card, not to send another IHOP gift card. I gave the balance of the card to the waitress as a tip. I found a mom and pop restaurant for my breakfasts now that make their hash brown from scratch, for half the price. IHOP you are going down with your cold meals and your frozen, premade hash browns.
Experienced great service in the Costa Mesa IHOP by Anny. She is in my opinion the best IHOP waitress at this location. Warm, smiling, greeting when she arrived at out table. Always had a smiling, happy face while working. Excellent in communication with us. Always made sure we had everything we needed to avoid running out. Anny knows her job very well & would make an excellent candidate for a future promotion like a manager in the near future. She has excellent customer service skills. Thanked us for our business. Anny is very friendly, always smiling, respectable, courtesy & very pretty. For sure for future visits when I come to this Costa Mesa IHOP I will always ask for my favorite waitress Anny to serve me.
Thank you Anny for doing your job so very well & professional. You're a role model to the other waiters & waitresses there. I still feel for your hard work & dedication that you deserve a raise from your boss Benito who is excellent in his position. The restaurant is always so very clean both inside & out. So in the future if your driving in Costa Mesa, California or live there like I do come visit the Costa Mesa IHOP on Harbor Blvd & ask for Anny & you will see what an excellent & super waitress she is. Plus such a very nice person.
We stopped at the IHOP on Peculiar Dr close to Kansas City this morning and it was absolutely the worse service ever. We stood and waited forever to be seated and there were only about 4 other customers already seated. The waitress was not very nice. Took forever to get our drinks. Then when the food came out my order was messed up and had to go back. My parents were almost done eating by the time I got my food and all I ordered was a scrambled egg sandwich. The server that brought our drinks out had poor hygiene. Dirty hair and nails. When the waitress brought my sandwich out she just basically tossed my plate in front of me and my sandwich flew off the plate on to table.
No one checked on us to offer us more drinks. We had to get up and search for silverware. And when we were leaving they didn’t have change for a 20 and was going to keep the change! We did not leave a tip because we were treated poorly. This establishment is ridiculous. When we expressed our concern and asked for a manager we were denied to opportunity to speak to one and the waitress asked what they done wrong. When my mom tried to tell her what was wrong the waitress butted in and wouldn’t let us talk. I had to talk over her to tell her the other waitress threw my sandwich on the table. We will never eat there again and wouldn’t suggest anyone to waste their time and money there. Just very poor service.
Keep in mind this was our first ever visit to an IHOP (we are both around 50 years old), but were out of town in Davenport, Iowa and wanted breakfast food for lunch. We stood in the waiting area to be seated for a few minutes (restaurant was nearly empty), even noticed the sign on the counter "no bills over $50" while waiting. We were seated near the kitchen as we avoided items on the floor. We ordered our drinks, the waitress mentioned she was new and slightly frazzled, then my fiancé went to the car to get us jackets since it was freezing.
We could hear multiple people chatting the kitchen, yet over an over later and we still had no food. Iced tea was warm, Coffee was lukewarm, and the once the food came was actually COLD. We told her how cold the food was, asked for boxes to just take it to go, paid $30 for one of the worse meals we have ever had. Keeping in mind we were the ONLY people seated on the entire WEST side of the restaurant. The East side possibly had a total of 20 people. How does it take over an hour to make pancakes, eggs, hash browns, biscuits, gravy, and toast?
The IHOP in Catonsville Maryland is the worst place to go and eat. The management is a joke. They will steal money from their employees and customers. It’s dirty and they don’t care if your food falls on the floor. They will pick it up and put it on your plate and microwave your food. Go to McDonald’s. That’s 100% better than IHOP. Trust me don’t go here. The owner is a cheap guy and steals money from his employees and does so many tricky things. So I want him to lose all the money he took from his employees so don’t go here.
I was craving breakfast for dinner on April 29, 2019. So I ordered eggs and pancakes. I had a delivery service called Doordash deliver my food. Well I ate the eggs first then went to eat the pancakes. I took a bite and saw a white lump just under my pancakes. I lifted the pancakes up and discovered a white pill with some white powder all around the pancake. I almost immediately started feeling numbness and tingling on my lips and up the side of my cheek. Then my neck muscles started to go weak and my leg muscles. I called IHOP but they did not answer. So I called the company that delivered Doordash and they documented it and refunded the money. I am currently at the ER getting checked out to be safe.
A new IHop opened in my neighborhood. My neighbor gave me a gift card with 25.00 amount. On 4/16/19. I went to use gift card. Arrived at 7:30.Cold food at 8:46p.m. Could not use gift card because manager didn't know how to. Very disappointed. Restaurant was cold also. Will never go back again. Embarrassing to hear that manager could not credit amount off gift card because he did not know how. I called 800 number on back of gift card they said 25. Amount is on card. Poor service and management.
We went to IHOP in Lincoln RI on March 17, 2019. 8:00 am. There were very few customers. We were seated and given a pot of coffee. The waitress said she would give us a few minutes to look at the menu. She came back about 10 minutes later and took our order. A Belgian waffle with strawberries, 2 strips of bacon, 2 scrambled eggs and 2 turkey sausages. More than 20 minutes went by, she came back and said it would only be a few more minutes. Still there were not many other customers.
She came back about 5 minutes later with the waffle - ice cold, bacon - almost raw and also ice cold, the eggs - again, cold. She then said the sausage would be out in a few minutes. Over a half an hour, cold food, and still not the complete order. Someone else dropped off the sausage after another 7 minutes. The food was terrible. Even the sausage, the only thing that was hot, was greasy. We had not been to an IHOP in at least 25 years. We won't go again and have already warned people away. Having so many empty tables on a Sunday morning, should have let us know how bad it was.
My friends and I go to IHOP for dinner, and the lady tell us that we needed to wait. 5 mins later she points to where she wanted us to be seated. We order our drinks and food, and it took an hour for the food and the drinks to come out. My 2 friends got their food except for me, but they didn't eat because the lady left us sitting utensiless. 10 mins later she comes around the corner. I don't know what the problem is, but I hope no one ever has to go through this.
This was our first time at IHOP and we went in because of the all you can eat pancakes. So I ordered a basic meal of bacon, eggs, hash browns and pancakes. Which was $12 and then ordered 2 kids meals that didn't come with drinks (which cost an extra $2.50 for drinks) and $3 for adult drinks. Needless to say $40+ for 1 adult and 2 kids for very basic breakfast is way overpriced. I usually pay around $25 almost anywhere else with better food. Even though the taste of the food was okay it's a rip off.
We visited this IHOP close to the Palm Beach International Airport. The outside of the building was tidy and the windows were clean and shining. Once inside the person who greeted us was friendly and efficient, Francis. She gave us a nice corner booth as requested. The menu was quite large and had a little bit of everything for a choosy family. My husband and I decided on breakfast and my mom got Fish and Chips. The vegetable omelet was fresh and quite tasty, the 2 by 2 by 2 was cooked to perfection (and I am quite fussy about my fried eggs) and the Fish and Chips was made with nice white fish and hot and crispy. The manager greeted us and checked in to see if we were happy with everything. The staff were all busy with customers and the energy in the restaurant was very positive. They even said goodbye and thank you as we left. We will definitely try this establishment again when we are in the area.
My son and myself went to IHOP for breakfast. I ordered spinach and mushroom omelette. It came with tons of onions in it. Sent it back, asked the waitress for one without onions. Manager came out with attitude and want to argue with me. I’m a female that doesn’t like arguing. I said, "Never mind, I’ll just pay for my son meal. I don’t want anything." As we were leaving the restaurant keep in mind I was never planning on coming back after that the manager goes, "Don’t come back." I’m a manager of a large retail company. Never treated my customers in such rudeness and attitude behaviour. I really think he acted like that because I’m a female.
My husband took me to breakfast at the IHOP on N. Dale Mabry in Tampa, FL. When I ordered my meal I asked for my eggs over medium and informed the waitress that the egg whites had to be completely cooked as I couldn't stand running whites. I also said I will send them back if they are runny. When my breakfast came out one egg of OK, the other runny so I sent them back and asked her to let the cook know to completely cook the eggs. When the eggs came back out, both were runny so I sent them back and asked her to take off the eggs from my tab.
She came back a few minutes later and said that the manager would come out and talk to us. Around 10 minutes later she returns to our table and gives us our tab, even though the manager hadn't come out to talk to us. When I inspected the tab, the manager took off my 99 cent coffee but left the meal on it. I told the waitress to get the manager as I was not paying full price for half a meal.
A few minutes later the manager came out with a very nasty attitude. I told her that I would not accept the 99 cent deduction as I could only eat 1/2 the meal but would accept a 50% discount on the meal. In a rude tone she told me that she couldn't discount the meal and since I ate the hash browns and bacon that 99 cents for the coffee was the correct amount to take off as the eggs were worth 99 cents. I said (in a loud voice at this time) that 99 cents was not enough as I could not eat 1/2 the meal so she needed to take off the entire meal if she could not discount it.
She gave me a nasty look before saying, "Fine but you have to pay for the coffee" and I said, "That would be no problem." No wonder when we got to IHOP at around 9:20 the place was over half deserted. People don't want to eat bad food and get bad attitude from staff or have to demand (not offered by management) for the meal to be taken off if they can't eat it due to the restaurant not cooking the food right.
The store at Ken Caryl and C-470 in Littleton Colorado has been a disappointment for years. The staff quits on a regular basis, manager doesn't show up in the morning to open the restaurant and today they don't have coffee because they are out of filters. Corporate needs to do something with this store because it's the worst one in the metro area. It's a good thing I can always count on Village Inn across the street to be open, staffed and have coffee.
Today December 29 2018. Placed drink order water with lemon and Coke, waitress brought drinks, I ask again, "Please may I have lemon." She took our order, we started to eat, again I ask for lemon, she brought ketchup, nothing we ordered had any use for ketchup. I ask again for lemon, she did bring lemon, there was still sticker, meaning lemon had not been washed. We had a gift card. I did not know you can give tip on gift card, so I had some change I was leaving on table for tip, as we were leaving the lady said twice don't forget your change, to me this was a smirk of saying, I don't want your change, so I picked it up and left feeling as I no longer cared about going there again, it was only $1 in change, but that was all I had, could tell she was ready to go home, because of language that was said to her co-workers. I am 61 don't feel like have to tell people, if you can't be nice, go find another job. This hurts a business.
My husband and I decided to go Shop for brunch since my husband had an early doctor's appointment. We came into the restaurant and the Waitress saw us and for 10 minutes we stood there and she did not say anything to us. Another waitress that passed by said to us someone will be with us and so we waited. When we did get seated my husband ordered 2 teas and 2 orange juices, we got the tea but no orange juice. My husband asked the waitress twice for the oranges juices. On the third time she brought 1 orange juice. When we finally got our food my crepe was burnt and so we left with only one meal for my husband. That was it.
It’s 9:37p on Friday, December 7, 2018 in Merced, CA. This IHOP closes at 10pm. Our family arrived at 9:30p to eat. Some of the lights were off on the outside so it was clear they were ready to leave. When we walked in I asked the male employee “are you still taking customers?” He replied, “well, if you want” and my reply was “No, do you want, you’re not very welcoming.” He said “well, I’d like to get out of here on time, I have to get up early.” So, my husband said to us “let’s go.” I couldn’t believe it. He could care less. Unfortunately, this business is owned by someone who has no idea how their employees treat customers. It’s important to post this here, it’s certainly my hope the manager, owner or corporate sees this. Horrible customer no-service.
After 25+ years as loyal customers, we will never go to another IHOP! After watching all the marketing hype about the Grinch movie and IHOP's special Grinch pancakes and hot chocolate, we decided to treat our grandson to a special Grinch day. He was *very* excited! We started with the movie, which was great. Then we went to the IHOP in Northlake, TX for Grinch pancakes and hot chocolate. Our server told us they were all out of that "Grinch stuff (green whipped cream & heart candies)."
I called the IHOP at I35 & 170 in Fort Worth. They were also out of "Grinch stuff." Then I called the IHOP in Grapevine, TX. The women who answered the phone told me that they had all the ingredients to make Grinch pancakes and hot chocolate. So we drove about 20 miles to make our grandson's special day complete. When we got to the IHOP in Grapevine, TX, we found out that, not only did they not have *any* Grinch pancake/hot chocolate ingredients, they were also completely out of hot chocolate! The Grapevine IHOP was in total chaos. The servers were obviously ill-trained and sort of ran around in circles, making 4-5 trips to the kitchen, when it should have only taken one.
Amazingly, the General Manager of the Grapevine, TX IHOP was on-site. Eventually, he stopped by our table and apologized profusely for this trainwreck for which he is allegedly responsible. Of course, he offered to give us a free meal coupon. I'm sure that our horrible experience today (Sunday - 11-25-2018) is not unique. It appears that IHOP spent all its Grinch money on advertising, with little or no regard to lining up sufficient suppliers of the unique ingredients.
IHOP, you should be ashamed -- someone needs to be held accountable for this incredible SNAFU! You are making tons of money from your Grinch marketing campaign, yet you are clearly not meeting your obligation to your customers. Regardless of what you do (which I suspect will be nothing), my wife and I are done -- we'll never go to another IHOP.
I want to start by telling you that generally I like IHOP and we go to eat there with family and friends many times. Now I want to draw your attention to a restaurant that is in Jacksonville Florida on Baymeadows Road. The first time I was there about 3 months ago, I ordered Sweet Cream Cheese Crepes. When I got the food I was very unpleasant and unhappy because the pancakes looked totally different from what I knew from other IHOP locations. The crepes were small (if I put one next to the other were the size of a normal one). They were cold (I always have received at other IHOP warm and fresh crepes) and they were dry (they were certainly old). I called the manager who apologized, took the plate, and in a few minutes came the waiter with the same dish that they added a normal and fresh crepe.
I ate the good one, the other two small and old I left there and I left disappointed and thought I would never go to that restaurant again. Today 11/14/2018 I had a meeting in that area and I was asked to go to IHOP, I said, "Let me try again, maybe it was just an unpleasant accident and everyone deserves a second chance." When the waitress came to our table I told her very clearly what happened last time and I specifically asked that the same thing should not happen again. When she brought me my plate, I saw that I had a normal crepe and a small one, and the waitress told me with a big smile, "Now I warmed up your crepes and the sauce." I ask her about the size of the crepe and why it needed to be warmed, it is supposed to be made at that time to be fresh especially because there were only a few people in the restaurant, so it was not busy.
She replied that it's about how much the cook puts in the pan!!! Very bad explanation!!! :( When we received the bill, I found with surprise that we had coffee and tea, no one had coffee in the restaurant this day, just tea. Because I was very disappointed I did not say anything because I do not want to argue there with anyone but I will definitely never go there nor recommend this restaurant to anyone. Now I realize that the restaurant does not respect the portions, the clients are not respected and for this reason they will lose even the few clients they still have. I'm sorry to say but this restaurant brings shame to the name IHOP!!!
I have been a loyal customer of IHOP all of my life. I've been to a number of their locations across the country. I live in Stockbridge, GA and had been to IHOP Store #480 before located at 3675 Highway 138 Stockbridge, GA 30281. I had my second visit today, September 14, 2018 at 12:20 p.m. with my aunt and to my surprise there was no one available to seat us immediately. When the hostess finally came, she failed to inform us that the floor was still wet. I had to catch my balance before being seated.
Then the server came over to get the orders for our food. She talked over me as I was trying to decide what I wanted which was annoying but I let it go and ordered what I wanted. About 15 minutes later she brought over our food. I could tell my French toast wasn't hot. All I did was motion to her that my French toast wasn't hot. Instead of coming over and offering an apology or being considerate about my concern she snapped at me in an angry tone and stormed off. At that point I was so turned off I really didn't want to continue to eat there but my aunt insisted because she knew I was hungry.
Another server brought over another set of French toast about 20 minutes later and at that point I wanted to speak with a manager. The manager refused to speak with me and ignored our concerns. My aunt decided to leave a 20% percent tip regardless but I must stress I was beyond upset and disappointed. I sent an email about my experience and the manager claims nobody told him about my experience and he defended the actions of all involved. I wouldn't recommend anyone I know to visit this location since it's obvious the staff doesn't care about concerns of disappointed patrons.
So, a few days ago, my 10 year old daughter and I stopped at the IHOP in Cleveland, Tennessee. We we looking forward to eating the delicious breakfast I fondly remembered as I child. Talk about disappointment. We each ordered the strawberry cheesecake pancakes and I ordered a side of bacon and a hash brown for us to share along with a root beer and sweet tea. We each received only one pancake.
The waiter then brought our bill and it totaled $15.88 which seemed fairly reasonable for what little we received. I go up the register and hand the waiter the bill he had given me. He shakes his head no and says that the bill is $24.88, handing me some other receipt (we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time) which he then crumpled up and threw away. The pancakes are $12 apiece?!? Are you friggin kidding me?!?
All I had on me was $100 bill. The waiter NEVER once touched the register. He goes to the back to get change, then starts digging in the wad of cash in his pocket. He couldn't even count out the change for the bill so I asked for my money so I could do it for him. Again, he NEVER once touched the register and never rang me up. He stuffed the cash in his pocket. Is this an actual legit business or a front for something else altogether?!? We were the only patrons in the place. The whole thing screamed out shady. Needless to say I will never be returning to this place for their pancakes 2 for $24. Ridiculous.
We were passing through Eldersburg, MD and we stopped at the IHOP. It was great! The food was great, the staff was great and the manager of the restaurant came to our table and was nice and spoke to us. We had a great experience!
We hadn’t been to IHOP for a couple months and decided to have breakfast 7/25/18, about 8:00 a.m. restaurant had very few customers at that time. Service was fine, but order was wrong, food was skimpy (much smaller pancakes than we used to have) and really the flavors weren’t as good (bland). Just not enjoyable! Too expensive for what we had!
Tried the New Orleans (Canal Street) IHOP for a second time. I give it one star only because the place was pretty clean. Ordered the burgers they have been advertising. Took over 40 minutes before the waitress came back to tell us it would only take a few more minutes because the cook had to DEFROST them. Which most people know... means MICROWAVE. Told the girl to just box it up we would take it with us. We paid. Went outside. Took a bite. I ordered a bacon burger. Surprise surprise, no bacon. Husband ordered a Mega burger, he ended up with a single cheeseburger. Ugg. And to make matters even worse the inside of the burger was COLD! RUN away from this place. McDonald’s is just down the street! But Company Burger is even better! Never again.
On Saturday, June 9th, 2018, I had the misfortune of selecting the Brainard Village IHOP (#3380) in Chattanooga, TN as my choice for lunch. That was a poor choice. Five minutes after being seated, a server finally appeared to take our drink order. When she returned 5 minutes later, we ordered our food. Twenty minutes later, we received our food. I had ordered an omelet with pancakes, but found that I was given a bonus of a hair on my omelet and another hair on my pancakes. As I left the restaurant, I passed by the open kitchen doorway and witnessed some employees (perhaps cooks) there playing "grab-**", and none of them was wearing hair protection to prevent hair from falling into food. I will never again darken the doors of this particular establishment.
Normally we visit one every few months. Our last visit was unsatisfactory & the manager gave us 2 $10 cards to come in again. We decided to try today. Our experience was not going well at all. Had no host/hostess, so we sat ourselves. A couple came in behind us & they were acknowledged, welcomed & sat down at a table. I went & spoke up to the employee & made our presence known. He gave me a look that was as if he didn't really care. Our waitress was unknowledgeable of our questions. She told us they were out of some of the foods we inquired about. I'd asked for lemonade instead of water. She declined saying the machine was broke, yet there were some people drinking lemonade.
She knew NOTHING about the FOODS hardly at all! Apparently she did not want to be bothered. All she wanted was to eat her meal out where the customers could see her! My salad was lacking the normal items on it, I had asked for avocado & got it, with the upcharge! This should have NOT been due to the lack of other items that they were out of! My husband's eggs were supposed to be over easy. They were not! They were nothing but soup! Our waitress didn't even know the difference between the types of onions! At our departure, I laid our bill with the 2 gift cards for her (previously given) & told her to keep the change. The bill was under $20, this is why I said that.
As we were walking out, my husband & I heard her say, "keep the change", as loud as she could. Abruptly I stopped & was about to turn around to go confront her. My husband said to just leave. I followed him, only because he didn't want confrontation. Just the thought of this upsets me! On top of it all I'm disabled AND it was my birthday! Needless to say, this is very disappointing & we will not be back there for a while! Several of the staff need dealt with a.s.a.p! We were not given a copy of our receipt. Our visit was on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at about 6 or 6:30p.m. No name tag on waitresses uniform, nor did she tell us her name. Very disheveled look to her, colored blonde hair.
The customer service was very good and I have no complaints about the place itself. It was all clean and comfortable. My complaint started with the fact there was no 100% real maple syrup at all unless you brought it in yourself. For the cost of these pancakes I expected real syrup and none of that high fructose maple flavored corn syrup crap. I can buy that at any corner grocery store anywhere. The complaint went further with the burger I ordered. It tasted great and I always love a burger. My complaint came when I was brought the bill to pay $20+!!! That is ** insane and I do not drop the ** bomb often or lightly.
I can go to the store and purchase 100% Real maple syrup and ingredients, and put together my own designer pancakes that has a much better flavor and cost less in the end. I can also go to the same store and purchase organic grass fed ground beef, make homemade buns that do not use chemicals always used in today's breads, 100% real WI cheeses and I wind up with a burger that also tastes better and also in the end I spend less for that as well. I will never return to IHOP again, and that was my 1st experience!!! Too damn costly for one meal!!! I even put in my review off of their receipt and I never heard from them either. I since then tossed away the receipt after filling out their review on their site. I expected I would have been contacted, but I figure IHOP is not concerned.
On Saturday 4/20/2018... while on a lunch break from my job, I decided to go to IHOP for some food. I had been there once before for dinner, and the food was horrible, but I thought I would give it another chance. Place was packed, yes, it was a Saturday, but when I walked in, I noticed the hostess' desk was jammed with menus, paperwork, and it looked sloppy. Her "friendliness" was phony, but she did lead me to a table, told me my server would be right there. Took 5 mins for the server to show up. He was a tall ** man with glasses, seemed friendly... took my order and my drink... all I wanted was a large orange juice. 5 mins later got the juice. 15 mins later I got my order which was sausage and eggs combo. The food was COLD.
I know the kitchen was busy, but either this IHOP in Keyport, NJ has to expand, or they need to do something. All the servers were in and out of there like bees swarming for honey. I did ask the server to please give me my check while I ate, as I thought I could eat, go to the register, and then leave. NOPE. He brought me my check, I finished the COLD breakfast... didn't say anything, just thought, that is it, I will not be back.
My order came to $11.71. I put a $20 bill in the folder. I should have received $8.29 back. When he came back, there were 4 singles in the folder!!! I called him over, told him. He said "Oh, isn't that $9???" I counted out the 4 singles... said "Does that look like $9???" So he reaches into his PANTS' POCKET and lo and behold comes out with a $5 bill!!! He said "Oh, I didn't know what happened to it." YEAH RIGHT. He thought that because I was in a bit of a hurry, I would not notice that A... he doesn't know how to use a register and give back correct change... and B... that I WOULD NOT notice that he tried to steal $5 from a customer!!! Had he been honest, he would have apologized, gone back to the register and then given me the $5... even though it STILL was not correct. The fact they have a con artist/thief/scammer working for them should be very concerning. I will NEVER go back to that place again. Plus the fact he took the receipt.
Since this restaurant has opened, at location: 221 West 104th Ave. Northglenn near Denver Colorado, store #3581, I've had nothing but problems with their service. I've visited this store about 5 times. It's a newly built store. On the first visit, it was on a Tuesday morning, and I was probably 1 of 6 people in the entire restaurant at the time, I arrived at about 7:13 in the morning to enjoy a meal after getting off work. They sat me immediately but it took 20 minutes for a server to come take my order. I left it alone and chalked it up as it being a new store and all. The other 4 visits were for take out meals. They took a long time to take and bring me my order.
On my 4th visit, they took so long with my food that the manager gave me a discount on one of the sides that I had ordered. I think he only did it because he saw the displeasure on my face as I finally received my order and there were a lot of people around the pay counter. I think he wanted to save face, he tried, I give him that. Now, what prompted me to leave this review was my 5th visit. I entered and let the lady at the counter know that I was going to make a to-go order. She said "ok, have a seat and I will get someone to help you". It was 5 feet away from the pay counter/greeting area so they had eyes on me the whole time. I sat there for 22 minutes, playing a game on my cell phone, until I overheard a lady making a to-go order. I saw her walk in and they took her order immediately. I said nothing, even though I was furious. I didn't want to be viewed as "That Loud Guy".
I sat there for another 5 minutes until the lady who told me to have a seat, (who had seen me sitting there the whole time) asked if I had been helped of which I answered "No". The other lady said, "Oh , I can take your order", she had been at the counter for the whole time also. It took another 20 minutes for me to get my order. Yes, I was there for almost an hour. I wished I had gotten a discount on my meal. But didn't, I guessed that the ladies upfront didn't want management to know that they had dropped the ball. Why didn't I say anything you ask (to management), didn't want to cause trouble and wait longer, been there long enough. Also, why do I keep going back to this restaurant you ask, well it's close to my house and I actually do like their food even though I think it's a little overpriced compared to the other restaurants I frequent. I just want their service to get better. Next time I will definitely bring it to someone's attention.
We went to IHOP at about 11:00 on a Thursday and the service was decent. The waiter kept forgetting things like juice, boxes, and more. But that wasn't the problem. Me and my family were staying in a hotel on a vacation. (Wisconsin Dells) We were staying in a hotel and realized my brother's tablet was not there and the last place me and my brother reject seeing it was ihop. So we checked when it opened and it said it opened at 12:00 a.m on Fridays and Saturdays going till 12:00 a.m (open 24 hours). So at 12:00 a.m on Friday me and my dad drove to ihop to go see if it was there. We tried calling them about three times but don't answer.
When we arrived it was 12:03 and there were no card in the parking lot and seemed to be no people in the building. There was one light on but the rest were turned off. We ended up sitting in the parking lot for account 15 minutes and no one arrived. We even looked at the door at IHOP and that also said opens at 12:00 a.m on Fridays and Saturdays. (24 hours) The website and ihop in general lied about they open time and I am pissed. Most horrible experience I have ever been in on a vacation.
When my daughter, wife and infant grandson went into the Limon IHOP they stood for approximately 10 min. The hold time being looked at by employees in an almost empty restetaunt. When they asked if they could be seated they were told they didn't have to be served. And if they were going to have an attitude they could leave. Very rude man. My daughter did walk back in and take pics of the empty restaurant. The pics are posted on my social media page along with my thoughts on the shoddiest restaurant I know of. I feel after this kind of treatment it is my personal mission to discredit this establishment and let the public know what kind of place is hiding behind the IHOP name.
I have a complaint about the change received from a call-in order. I paid with a 100 dollar bill, At the time the cashier (Shalonda) needed singles ($1). The manager came to get the 100 dollar bill I had given the cashier and came back with a large amount of singles. The cashier gave me $4.64. I told her that she owed me $80.00 more. The manager stated that the cashier said only singles was needed. I was told that the Regional manager would contact me so that he could view the tape. I explained to the Regional manager the events that occurred when he called and I was told that he would review the tape. After waiting 3 hours and 16 minutes for a response, I was told that I gave her $20.00. I am not even sure if that was the Regional Manager.
He did not state whether the video tape was reviewed or if that was on a receipt. He seemed very blunt while telling me the information. Because I could not remember the name, I called back the two different numbers he called me from (702) 715-0906 at 3:14 PM (702) 643-1938 at 12:49 and no one answered the calls. I was not given a receipt and I never received my orange juice, which was not addressed. All I had was a hundred dollar bill on me. I am not satisfied with the response because I didn't get an opportunity to view the tape and I was just told that the cashier's drawer was even (It should be, there was an even trade-off. The bigger bills should have been in the drop box or safe). I have seen and known plenty of people who worked/work in the fast food service industry, including the workers at Walmart.
When bills are given, they usually put the money on the register so there isn't any confusion about the change given back. That was not performed at all. I would like an opportunity to view what the "Regional Manager" saw because I know how much money I had and how much money was given. I would suggest that someone higher than the Regional Manager investigate the store because I suspect that the workers may be pocketing money. I am short money and I am trying to be professional about the situation, but I don't think it's fair that extra money is kept (I am not trying to give an $80.00 tip for a pick-up order at IHOP). I work hard for my money. AGAIN, I WAS NOT GIVEN A RECEIPT OR COMPENSATED FOR THE ORANGE JUICE I WAS CHARGED AND NEVER GIVEN!!!
We, a family of three, went to IHOP in Glendale California last Saturday; it had been a couple years since last time. Extremely busy. Waited a long time to sit then much longer for food. Then came the bill!!! $65.00 + tip, a junk meal for three!!! Unbelievable. Will never ever return. $4.90 for a glass of cheap juice!!! Master rips!!!
Almost an hour for meal to arrive. IHOP North Fort Myers FL. First off, a young family of four was seated at the same time as I was. The restaurant was busy and steady. I did expect to wait longer than normal. This is mid February and I understand that. This is not my complaint. I passionately waited. Went through the small carafe of coffee. Meanwhile the family of four was finished with their meal and their table was being cleared. I didn't even have my meal yet. My waitress did explain the kitchen was swamped. How does a family of four get served, eat their meal and get up and pay their bill, but a single man is still waiting. I did not receive any apology. I paid for the coffee and left. IHOP can go suck an egg. I'm in Florida half the year and in Michigan the other. Everyone I meet will know of this experience.
I went to the IHOP off highway 240 and Perkins in Memphis, on my way home. I simply asked for a cheeseburger and fries to go. Normally I wouldn't go there but I had a gift card from Christmas I need to use. I told her I had a five dollar gift coupon that came from purchasing the gift card. The lady rang up my bill and asked for my card. I gave her the card. Before I signed the receipt I noticed the amount was wrong. I told her and she repeated the order which had me ordering a monster double burger. She said she changed it on the card and asked me to sign the receipt.
I asked for another receipt but she said she didn't know how to do it and said if I could just signed the one I had. I reluctantly did and that was a mistake. The cook came and said he didn't have fries. I told him to just make it onion rings. After reviewing the receipt again I noticed it said I didn't order a cheeseburger but a chicken quesadilla and coffee. I became curious and called the number on my gift card to find the balance. She never changed anything. I still owed for a double burger and she didn't take off the $5 gift coupon. She told me she didn't know how to correct it and that I had to come back at 6 a.m.
When I finally got my food the container had a hole in the bottom from the onion rings. I left my number for the manager to call me and left. No one ever called me. I called the gift card hotline to make a complaint and they said they would put the difference of the burgers back on the card but since they took the gift coupon they couldn't do it because I needed to go back to the IHOP and have them put the full cost back. They took down all my information and said they would be contact me by my house address and email but I never was. I gave the card away and will never go back.
My dad went to IHOP, 15350 Shawnee Mission Parkway Shawnee, KS 66217, on 1/20/2018 arrived at 7:50 am. He is 89 yrs of age with heart condition. When the Manager seated him on north side of restaurant, my dad asked to be seated on south side to be closer to bathroom because of his heart condition and medications requiring multiple trips to bathroom. The manager refused to seat him in south side open section because they were short on servers. The manager didn’t try to accommodate a senior with disabilities. This request wasn’t unreasonable especially since he frequents this restaurant for breakfast on weekends and some weekdays and always asked to be seated close to bathroom at a table. I am furious they wouldn’t accommodate a senior that frequents this restaurant in the early morning hours which is not a peak time for them.
My dad is a Marine that served in Korean War. He deserves more respect than what he received. He doesn’t ask for much and is always pleasant to servers even when they are rude. Servers from several restaurants know him by name and always ask how he is doing. I don’t understand why IHOP manager wouldn’t accommodate a frequent customer with disabilities that never complains or cause any issues. No matter where we go together, including hospitals and Doctor visits, I frequently am told how cute he is and how they love him. Our local police know him from breakfast restaurants and will even stop by our apartment to check on him if they haven’t seen him out and about.
We have gone to several IHOPs all over the Chicagoland and south suburb areas for the last 20 years. I have to say each experience has been as bad or worse than the last. Do you train your wait staff to be SLOW AND UNCARING? It does not matter what time of day it is or how many people are in the restaurant. It actually takes an hour to get scrambled eggs and an English muffin with only 30 people in the restaurant or if there are 2 or 6 people in our party. Then they charge extra for the English muffin. The staff is mentally challenged when it comes to hospitality and service and mathematics. It just never gets better. We will not be returning to any of your restaurants.
Bad experience Store #3463 in Bel Air, Maryland location - I've only been to IHOP twice, both carry out orders. The first time everything was great! I decided a few days later to order out again -- what a mistake! I spoke with Amanda (443-371-6330) and she put me on hold and then disconnected me. I called back and Amanda put me on hold for about 5 minutes more. Then after finally answering, when I gave her my order (the same as the first time), she said "that sandwich doesn't exist." I said I got it a few days before and she said "that sandwich doesn't exist, are you sure you got that sandwich?" I said, "Yes, it's only a grilled ham and cheese sandwich and fries." She said again, "that sandwich doesn't exist".
When I asked for a manager, she said no one was on duty and when I asked for a Corporate complaint number, she didn't know it. I then went online and registered a complaint and when I didn't hear anything a week later, I called the Customer Service number online (1-866-444-5144). I had a case number from my online complaint and despite having an existing complaint, they wanted another week to address my complaint. They said that it was up to the store (franchise) to contact me and they couldn't make the location address my concern. What a mistake, avoid at all cost! I know I will from now on!
You How three IHOP restaurant who don't know how to serve disabled people. I am visually impaired. They do not have Braille menus that's required by federal ADA when they serve food to your customers. It is Cool and a lot of your workers Have a bad attitude yesterday. My daughter and I went to a IHOP on 17th St. before Grand Avenue in Santa Anna. The waitress had a bad Attitude, gave me sourdough toast that I did not ask for, cool eggs when the food should be hot and not taste like they all do. Something about your restaurant the ones on Harbor will not serve me because eight years ago my uncle who is a police officer came and told me to move my RV because McDonald's was talking about towing it.
They told me I was not allowed in the restaurant anymore. That's the way they treat their customers. I am disabled. One time I went in and I was told I could not plug in my power chair and I was sitting at a table by a plug. I only had one bar on my power chair and my husband had a push it to the Disneyland parking lot and there is a 500 pound chair. I don't appreciate people treating others like if they were a piece of trash and when you're homeless is not our fault but they don't want to serve them either. I have seen a lot of homeless people come into the restaurant and they're told to get out. People or people home with her not. We are God's people not dogs.
I have been a loyal IHOP customer for years. I travel with my family quite often and, no matter which state we are in, IHOP has been our first choice for breakfast. Unfortunately, after many years of patronage, our positive experience came to an end on Christmas day of 2017. On this morning, we decided to go to IHOP in 795 South Semoran Boulevard in Orlando Florida (Store #36-081).
After eating breakfast, our waitress returned to our table and informed me that my credit card had been declined twice. I found this to be odd so I called my credit card company to get more information. In the meantime, I paid for the meal in cash. The credit card customer service representative informed me that the transaction was not declined on their end. In fact, she saw two transactions posted. I called the waitress and informed her about my findings; she was not able to give a clear explanation so she suggested for me to speak to the manager. I agreed.
The manager came with a hyper attitude. He appeared to be annoyed by my request to speak to him. He stated that credit card companies sometimes decline transactions because of fraud. I explained to him that this was not the case in my situation and that two transactions were showing in my account in addition to the fact that I had paid in cash. He appeared not to be listening to my concerns. He was talking loud enough that it caught the attention of the patrons sitting around our table. He stated in an unprofessional and insensitive manner, "It is not my fault if your credit card was declined twice."
I reiterated to him that it was not my credit card. I also stated that I was going to keep an eye on the transactions and that I would be following up if I was overcharged. At this time he stated again in a loud voice that it was not his fault that I was declined twice. He abruptly and unprofessionally walked away with my receipt while stating sarcastically, "Merry Christmas, I am not going to go back and forth with you". Again, patrons around me were staring at our table, some chuckled. My family and I were extremely embarrassed.
As we were walking out, I asked the manager for my receipt. I also asked for his full name. He walked around hyper stating, "I'll give you my name, I'll even give you my damn picture with it." I told him that there was no need to be a **. He stated in confrontational manner, "What did you call me?" At this point I did not want this incident to continue to escalate, so I proceeded towards the exit. As I was walking out, a waitress yelled sarcastically, "Merry Christmas!" There were patrons at the main lobby waiting to be seated. Again, my family and I were made a focus of sarcasm. The unprofessional culture in store # 36-0810 is evident.
It is superfluous to reiterate how the manager treated us in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. My family and I have never been embarrassed and treated in such a way by anyone, let alone by a manager of a restaurant that prides itself for their customers to "Come hungry. Leave happy". His unprofessionalism, sarcasm, negative behavior and lack of customer service cannot be justified.
I got FOOD POISONING from IHOP!!! I went to the doctor and he confirmed that, and the doctor told me that his son also got Food Poisoning from IHOP!!! It took me 2 weeks to get well. IHOP refused to take any responsibility!! Stay aware!!
Hello I was passing through San Marcos going to San Antonio, and I stopped by IHOP 1920 and where I sat down at a wonderful waiter's table, and I happen to overhear the Manager not letting his staff clock out when they were supposed to, and had them stay longer than supposed to which is awful but the coworkers there seemed so unhappy too. The staff were wonderful to the customers especially our waiter. Except there was this one waitress, I didn't know her name but I know she had a black ponytail, and the way she acted to her coworkers was extremely inappropriate. She was very rude to her customers. I feel so bad for her coworkers. It breaks my heart, I used to be a waitress, and I know it's difficult but the other staff looked like they were having a bad day - good day.
At a stop for lunch with my family, our server, Katrina went above And beyond her customer service duties. She checked on us every 5 minutes or so. However the food took awhile to get to us. The restaurant was not busy, so we couldn't figure out why our order was taking forever. My true reason for this review is to praise Katrina. She was the best server I've ever had. And I'm in the hospitality business! She deserves recognition.
Going into IHOP waiting to be seated we had to wait for over 10 minutes and they wasn't busy. The food was great but the restaurant wasn't all that clean and if my husband didn't make a joke the waitress wouldn't of said too much of anything.
I called in my to go order around 11:02 am. The person that took my order seemed as if she didn't know how to take an order, I was told that it would take 20 minutes before it would be ready. I got there around 11:25 am and waited for my food for another 25 minutes before it was ready. I also ordered a drink which was not readily available when my food came out and requested my hash brown to be crispy which was nowhere near close. This is not the first time that I have had to wait long for a to go order or my order not being correct. I am very unhappy with the service for to go orders. Store#1915 in Lafayette, La Server.
Take a hint. If you don't know how to cook it, don't even try. Stick to breakfast only. Lunch we had today was not fit for consumption. Will never eat lunch again at any Ihop. This store was in Waxahachie Texas. 23.55 was amount of bill.
This morning I visited IHOP for breakfast with my two kids. We waited after ordering food for over 2 hours. Post repeated reminders server came to me and said he forgot about the order and wanted me to reorder. Which I did and again after 30 min I finally left with my hungry kids to go to a place where we could get a decent service. My experience has been very bitter. I do not recommend anyone to go to this place.
Visited the IHOP Restaurant in Lake Wales, Florida store # 36-095. The Server Brittanie ** and the Store Manager Donna ** were exceptional!! In addition to great food the service was above and beyond expectations. My spouse was just out of the Lake Wales Medical Center and not feeling well and the Manager Donna ** attended to our every comfort to include placing an ICE bag on her neck. Just incredible. Brittanie the Server ensured the food was HOT and just the way we wanted it. A real tribute to IHOP employing these special people!!
My family went to the IHOP in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Restaurant number 360172. We used to go every Sunday, but every single time we went, we had problems with either the food, service, wait time, or some other ordeal. We tried going to a further IHOP in Fort Walton beach, but still horrible. They don't apologize, and only make excuses. I always get the egg white fit omelette with dry sour dough toast. It has come hard boiled, not cooked through, half the size, and we always (I mean every single time), get told we can't sub toast for fruit. Which they always end up doing after a very unpleasant confrontation.
This time, at the Gulf Breeze location, we were told, again, we can't sub toast for fruit. Terry (the unprofessional, wannabe manager) told my husband he had better be grateful they are giving us toast this time, because it will not happen again. My husband asked her firstly, why aren't the customers always right? That is a businesses true purpose, to make the customer happy. Next, he told her to grab the real manager. She was dismissive, and very rude. The manager never came to our table, our drinks didn't come until after our meal was delivered.
We love the food when it is made correctly. It was delicious this time. Demi ** was our server in training. She did a great job aside for forgetting our drinks. I have to say though, when we have had problems with our food, we actually get told that is how it comes, so if we ask for it to be made again, apparently it comes unfixed? I can't believe they actually get away with telling customers that. Terry needs to find a new job. Demi, told us she fired her as her trainer. So, Apparently, she is as rude to her fellow employees as she is to her customers.
I received a birthday certificate for pancakes at IHOP so my husband and I decided to go to the local IHOP in Parker, Colorado. When we arrived I asked the server if I could use the birthday certificate towards a reduction in my meal price instead of receiving an $8.99 specialty pancake platter. She told me whatever I ordered would be reduced in price by $8.99. I ordered a meal that included a side order of pancakes/French toast.
We were charged for three meals when we ordered two meals. I guess that way with the $8.99 off with the birthday certificate, IHOP was still charging us full price for everything served and the food served was repulsive!!! With the $8.99 cost reduction with the birthday certificate, and being billed for three meals when we were two people having ordered a TOTAL of two meals, we paid w/ tip approximately $37.00 for our grotesque meal - my meal which was with birthday certificate and for a simple meal for my husband. What we were served was repulsive. We took about 80% or more of the meal home in a "to go" box. Even with that my husband and I have been ill upon returning home and vomiting.
We repeatedly asked for a manager. No-one came. Then after going to the front register, the person there, at the register, said she was new. We asked for a manager again. We waited over ten minutes by the register repeatedly asking to speak to a manager. No-one came. It was clear no-one had any intention of coming to speak with us or to correct the bill. I remember in the past enjoying a meal at IHOP. This IHOP at least is nothing like the IHOP that I remember. Someone from corporate needs to inspect that IHOP and either retrain everyone there or shut it down. That location is a disgrace to the IHOP chain.
One cashier and we were 4th in line with 4 families behind us. Waited over 30 mins for our food. Service and staff were slow and really just walked around. They need food workers who know what they are doing. This is an express IHOP that just opened and we have heard nothing but complaints about service, cold food, and waiting forever. And we got chocolate milk which is 8 ounces and we had that drink on our 40 mins plus wait and had to buy more drinks. This is Jacksonville IL. We were excited about this opening but after coming once, we won't be back.
Lack of integrity and rude Manager. This morning we visited the La Verne location for a late breakfast. We had purchased a raffle ticket through our children's school a couple years ago, and held it until the time was right. The Gift Certificate was entitled, IHOP #791 1201 Foothill Blv La Verne CA 91750 and was "In the Amount of...Free Complete Meal for a Family of 4" - no expiration date. An ID in red ink on the bottom of the certificate. We presented it to our server, and in about 5 minutes the Manager ** came to our table and said, "Sorry, we can't honor this because there is new ownership." When I asked where on the certificate did it say that this certificate was predicated on ownership, she said that she'd have to contact the owner. I said, "OK, go ahead and give him a call." She said, "I don't think he's available". I told her that was not acceptable, and I think that they should honor it.
Nothing on the certificate indicated any expiration, amount or ownership. This is not acceptable and I expect a full refund - total $43.74. I added a $10 tip for **, the server who apologized profusely, but I have no issue with her. The issue is with the rude Manager and with the principle of this issue. In a day an age of mass internet exposure and risk of poor reputation, I think that an immediate reply and refund are appropriate.
I wanted to take my family out for a nice quiet meal and ended up with the complete opposite. First off we saw the hostess outside having a smoke break upon our arrival. I didn't think anything of it and went inside, only to sit there along with 3 other parties waiting to be seated... then he decides to come inside and seat us. We were Sat at a table in front of the kitchen entrance/exit, my 9-month old son was in a highchair at the end of the table (where the servers are walking out with hot foods & beverages... that made me very uneasy.
Then the "hostess" tells us they are short-staffed. I look around and only counted 3 servers IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING. At this point I'm ready to go elsewhere, I stay because I see our food lined up in the kitchen. The chef actually brings us our food and is actually a breath of fresh air considering his co-workers all seem to be nutbags. While eating I look into the kitchen because I hear profanity blaring from someone's mouth and as I mentioned earlier, my 9-month old was in earshot of this entire conversation. Meanwhile our server brings us an entire pitcher of soda instead of refilling our glasses.
I'll attach a photo of the "hostess" preparing someone's food with his dingy gross boxers hanging out of his pants and a server dropping an entire box of condiments on the floor beside us shattering glasses of hot sauce. If I wanted to go to the circus I'd go to the circus, if I wanted my child around indecent conversations I would've settled for a dark seedy bar. But I wanted a nice family meal and ended up boxing it and going home because the service was horrible and I paid a good amount of money. I didn't receive my receipt either.
Been meaning to post this! We went to IHOP in Brooklyn Center, MN and this waitress (Sarah **) gave us a drink that had a maggot in it! Then she had the nerve to still charge us for the drink! Like are you kidding me! When we told her we weren't paying for it, she got an attitude like it was our fault. I wish we would have gotten a picture of it so we could have sued the crap out of that IHOP! Never going back there. That's gross.
This restaurant is going down is responsibility of bad choice when selecting personnel!! This restaurant is super good and delicious! The service is supppppper bad!! Repetitive occasions forgotten everything! And yelling loud side to side like a urban market!! Asking for things every minute living behind because not putting attention! The restaurant was empty! Hot Wells and Hwy 37 South San Antonio, and the one more close to me is the one in McCreless on S. New Braunfels is more urban service. No manners San Antonio, Texas 78210.
Come in after a long day at a shutdown 4 hour drive - meet my wife in Tillman's corner IHOP in Alabama and don't get served and treated like I wasn't nothing but ** and I just wanted to take my kids out to eat because I ain't seen them in awhile so I left and went to Waffle House and I will never eat at another IHOP again being treated so wrong.

I tried IHOP twice when I was in Tracy, California and I could say they may not be the best pancakes in the world but I like how fluffy they are. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and their add-on bacon strips. They're really filling and tasted wonderful. A very hearty breakfast indeed! They also had 4 different choices of syrup flavor to go with the pancakes. I would also like to commend their staff at their Tracy store because they were really friendly and tried their best to give us the best customer service.
I am writing this review because I think IHOP is overrated. It's not that delicious!!! The pancakes are just regular pancakes sold at a very high price. At first I really wanted to try their pancakes. I was dying to eat them because of what I heard from friends and other people, they say they're very delicious. So, one day, I decided to take my breakfast there. They're so expensive but then again I thought maybe the taste is worth the price. I was wrong... The pancakes look okay. Nothing special. Just like the regular ones that I eat at home or at McDonald's. I thought "don't judge a book by its cover". When I took my first bite, the first thing that came into my mind was... what a waste of money, time, and energy. I came to this place 5 miles from home to eat this kind of pancake?!! Are you ** kidding me?!
This is so unfair! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! Starbucks is also expensive BUT IT IS WORTH IT! Their coffee is the best. But IHOP and their expensive regular-tasting plain-looking nothing special overrated pancakes??? I can't understand why so many people eat there! Is there something that I don't know or should I know? I was really dissatisfied. I won't go back there!! I regret going there.
Upon my last experience with IHOP I would have to give the restaurant a 3/5 star rating for the following reasons: The waitress was AMAZING. She was very attentive to our needs and funny in the process. The food however was subpar. Did you know they put pancake batter in their omelets!? Overall satisfied, and would go again. However only if invited.
My husband and I went to IHOP for a breakfast/dinner last night. The food was sufficient and so was the service. The young female server was very nice and asked more than once if everything was alright. THE COFFEE WAS TERRIBLE. IT WAS SO WEAK YOU COULD NOT TASTE COFFEE! When I asked the server if she could make some stronger coffee, she explained the coffee came prepackaged. In my opinion there was too much water put in the coffee maker in order to make more coffee. We have eaten at this store before and been pleased with our meal. I suppose the owner decided that he was going to make the coffee last longer by adding water to it. When you pay $2.29 for a cup, you want to at least taste the coffee taste. NOT SURE WE WILL GO BACK!
We came to celebrate a friend's child's birthday. We arrived at 6:40 pm and was still waiting for food at 8:00. pm. I ordered a glass of tea, it was not served with the other beverages. Even though I and others repeatedly reminded and asked for it, I never received my tea. They finally gave me a glass of water. There were only 4 other people there when we were. Now we know why.
In Fargo, ND. While choosing IHOP for a late night meal with my husband. I tried to order an omelet without pancake batter. Having celiac disease, it can be fatal and usually requires a hospital stay. I ask the waitress to ask the cook if it could made without the pancake batter and was told no, that she had asked before. I then ordered a salad that contained oranges. She came back to inform that they were out of oranges. I ended up with a bowl of greens, very small amount of chicken and a few pecans with a $9.69 charge. What a waste of money and a terrible experience.
I was in Ihop for over an hour and the waitress never acknowledge us and I had to ask the cook "is anyone going to take our order" and he was ** so he came from the back to take our order and when he place the food on the counter the waitress never brought our food to us. I had to get up and get my own food off the counter. Then I ask her for a drink and she said then, "The cook take your order then he needs to get your drink." She DID not want to wait on us and she was not busy just walking around doing nothing. She waited on everyone else and greeted them at the door but not us. I felt like I wasn't human the way she treated us - animals get treated better then that. I have it all on video. If you ever go to the Ihop in Deerfield branch make sure Patricia not your waitress - she has a very bad attitude against African Americans. She has made it very bad for me to step foot in another Ihop.
I've tried for over a month to get the birthday coupons from IHOP. I've called customer service several times. I only receive emails from IHOP customer support stating the issue is on my end. Clearly the issue isn't, no emails get blocked or sent to spam. Every correspondence IHOP says the issue is my fault. Clearly the issue is on IHOP and for some reason they refused to help. Even after several calls to Customer Care(less).
I and a group of students went to the IHOP in Sevierville. The manager required us to order from a group menu of only six items instead of choosing something to eat from whole menu. They said it was easier on the kitchen staff. I feel that if I am paying, I should be able to order whatever I want. Our waiter, Levi, was pretty good.
When you have inarticulate, ignorant people at all levels in your restaurant it is going to reflect negatively on IHOP. I called before I went. The woman, name unknown, answered the phone and spoke several loud, guttural, unintelligible words. Confused, I said that I was trying to reach IHOP. She responded with, "Yeah, this is IHOP." I asked if they had Wi-Fi. She said, "Yeah." When I arrived I waited several minutes at the 'Wait to be seated' sign. I can't imagine why it took so long to notice/acknowledge me, there were only two occupied tables. When the waitress finally come to seat me I found the Wi-Fi wasn't working. A woman was on her computer a few tables over and I asked her if she was able to access the internet. She said, "No, the signal is too weak."
I asked the waitress why the Wi-Fi wasn't working. She did not understand even the most rudimentary aspects of computers but she repeatedly kept saying that it was working, even after I showed her it was not working. I asked her where the wireless router was located so I could try to seat closer to it in hopes of being in signal range. She didn't know what a router was. I asked a man with a name tag that read, 'G.M. Earnest' that was supposed to be the manager. His English communication skills were terrible; vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar. He said, "The router is all over the building." Obviously he was technically ignorant. These IHOP employees represent IHOP. These two do NOT represent IHOP well.
Just left from there with an upset stomach. Their French toast was not even cooked, neither were the waffles or crepes. As soon as we walked in, it smelled like mildew or something old and the coffee was gross. They need to do major cleaning and seriously, it wasn't busy for them to not thoroughly cook the food. We just didn't want to deal with rude service sending the food back or getting up to leave.
We frequently come to the New Orleans IHOP airport, and every time the service is terrible, from they are constantly out of coffee cups to having to wait an extremely long time for the food, or getting the other wrong. Tonight I waited one hour for an omelette. When it came it looked terrible, the eggs were burnt. I asked for no cheese and it had cheese, my husband asked for all whites and twice they made it with regular eggs, asked for sausage and it came with ham. After waiting one hour we had to wait another thirty minutes. When the food came the second time, and it was still wrong, I had no choice but to send it back. They sent the same omelette back. I am so, so sick of this IHOP, we go to other ones and we never have this bad experience anywhere else. Oh, don't let me forget, out of lemon for the iced tea, and they never have cup, paper cups. This place will never get my business again. So disgusted.
I tried to place an order for pickup/carry out and waited for 10 minutes on hold and I was told 1 moment. At the end of the 10 minutes I was so frustrated that I didn't even order. You are losing business and customers and you should hold your employees responsible for fast service. Sioux City Iowa IHOP on Gordon Drive.
The manager tried to obligated me to eat outdoors just because he didn't have enough space. It's not my fault. I explicitly asked for an inside seat. He told me if I don't like what he has available, I can leave. I have been trying to complain and get a number to call, but the staff did not want to give it to me since he is the owner. But is giving the IHOP bad reputation to all locations because this complaint I going to post it on my facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I have more than 700 friends, and I asking to repost it.
I came to IHOP after passing several waffle houses at 1:20 am. I order a to go omelette and I am still here at 2:00 am waiting. Nothing has been offered for the inconvenience... Seriously doubt I ever return. Waffle House next time for sure.
IHOP on Semoran Blvd near Stonewall Jackson in Orlando Florida, Sunday service. I went there on Sunday September 27 with my wife, we ordered a simple breakfast. The server was unable to understand a simple order. Two scrambled eggs, potato and toast. She brought the order on three different plates, instead
of one. The eggs looked like glue, the toast was uncut, one was with butter, and one was without. The eggs were uneatable, the toast tasted horrible and my wife said her food was terrible as well. The manager thought he could help, but with what more horrible food. IHOP has become a place to stay away from. You need to eat somewhere else.
Went to IHOP in Escondido, CA. As I am senior, I took advantage of Sr. prices. Got sampler breakfast which was approx. $9. When food arrived, the piece of ham was literally 1 to 2 bites! Small portion of hash browns & some egg. 1 strip bacon & sausage which was fine. The hash browns at IHOP always taste like some sort of chemical (grill cleaner/cheap oil??). When I questioned this hysterical piece of ham, they said because I was senior and if I ordered regular portion it would be better. What's the point of suppose to be acknowledging seniors' crummy incomes, lol. There's just not much personal service anymore. All about $! And seniors are large part of so called IHOP!!! If in Escondido, I recommend Charley's (in no way affiliated) - excellent food, service & prices!! No more IHOP for me!!! Pic of ham before bite.
I walked into the Texarkana store and sat there for 20 mins. After sitting there I watched a waiter walk up to a table and get a drink order that arrived 15 mins after I did. I sat there another 10 mins with nobody ever acknowledging the fact I was there. On my way out 2 female employees were gathered gossiping in a corner near the kitchen, also one was eating! I bet that was nice!!!
Me and my daughter was at the IHOP in Auburn WA. We got seated with menus and when we were ready to order we just sat there. No one took our order for 25 minutes. We were hungry so we left and went to Denny's.
I visited IHOP for the first time in Dubai Mall. I order four cups of coffee. When I got my bill they charged me AED 68.00 for it. I talked to the manager and she said that they charge that for the full thermo. I told her that I never got a refill and she said "that's what we charge and there is nothing I can do about it." I understand that IHOP is to make money but not to rip off their clients with those prices. I will never go back to that place. IF ANYONE GO THERE BE CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING COFFEE. I don't appreciate coming to this Dubai and get ripped off by a restaurant that way..
Every time you order a breakfast, the steak is served sweetened. This is bad. This is a trick most places use to hide when their beef is going bad. I'm eating more like wasting a steak tips platter because the sweetness doesn't even taste right.. The meat is rotten, caramelized onions couldn't pull off this rancid meat taste.
My family (party of 5 people) ate a breakfast on 08/29/15 at west little rock, AR (only the IHOP for 350000 people). We waited 10 minutes to get our seats. We understand a busy weekend. We were waiting, waiting and 8 min gone (Because people who came behind us received their drinks and almost getting their plates) we couldn't wait anymore. Called host, asked for server. Host was very mad at us, told that she doesn't know. I don't know why she was mad at us. Maybe we asked our server and drinks?
There were 4 servers work for 16 tables. How come you guys can miss us? At least they could have asked our drinks. They were walking around our table asking questions from other customers. We are human being too just like a every other customers. We were waiting for server. You guys are very wrong. I did order anything except coffee and orange juice. I lost my desire to eat because This ihop likes to number the people depending on race, religion, gender, and ethic group. I highly NOT recommend to go Ihop location at little rock, AR, 72211.
Went there today 8/12/2015 for our grandson's first birthday and then seating was so cramped. Were put into a bench seat shared with another table of adults. Our party was 4 adults and 2 highchairs, no room at all on the table or seating wise. The server was not friendly and did not write anything down so a few items were wrong and when my daughter tried to tell her that the baby's order was wrong she actually argued with her. Very disappointed in this new IHOP. Use to go to the old one a lot - won't be back to this one ever again. The IHOP is the new one in Plantation. We were there at 10 this morning.
My mother and I arrived around 7:55 pm Friday evening, August 7, 2015 at the Bedford NH location. We were greeted by a pleasant young lady who promptly showed us to our table. Shortly thereafter a happy and smiling girl promptly greeted us and announced she would be our waitress for this meal and then took our order for drinks. When she returned with our coffee I informed her that we were ready to order our meal. It was now 8:03. My mother ordered a BLT and fries. I ordered the 3 by 3 - 3 eggs over medium and 3 buttermilk pancakes. Let me remind you, I am forty three and have been a very happy and loyal IHOP customer since I was five or, old enough to remember arriving every Saturday morning with my mother and ordering the Silver Dollar pancake breakfast.
Our order did not come out until 8:34. Forgetting the 31 minute wait for an order that would typically only take thirteen to sixteen minutes to prepare and plate. My mother's fries were limp, cold and regretful. The pickle was warm. And the young girl was so cordial and obviously embarrassed. When she placed my food down I instantly complained that the pancakes were reminiscent of the Silver Dollar PC's. They were so tiny and my eggs were dreadfully cold. I had chosen to substitute my meat for an English muffin and the muffin came out after I had asked the waitress to please return my plate to be recooked. The muffin came out plane, no butter or jelly. It was now 8:45 and my plate was now coming out. My mother had long been done her meal and, she opted to not have the fries replaced. We did not leave your restaurant until after 9:00. This was the most horrible night mom and I had ever had eating at IHOP.
I called the IHOP on Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee, FL and was put on hold for 15 minutes and when I hung up and called back whom I was speaking with didn't bother to place the phone on the hook so I couldn't get through to place my order. I've never been so disappointed in my favorite breakfast restaurant and will not be using this location ever again.
Hitchcock, TX - This omelette is offered made with egg whites. Side of mixed fruit. I have had it 3 times. 1st time, omelette was good but the mixed fruit tasted like the atmosphere of a freezer or large refrigerator, and I only ate the grapes (they weren't too bad). 2nd time, omelette was good but I asked for a substitute for the fruit and was given "yogurt". The "yogurt" tasted like very sweet vanilla pudding. 3rd time, omelette looked very puny and the spinach tasted like the inside of the freezer again. I could not find but very little cheese, and the fruit consisted of only watermelon diced very small. The waiter said they were out of "seasonal fruit" and all they had left was the watermelon. It really was a joke.
The staff was polite and offered to remake the omelette, but I declined because I just did not see how they could do any different, unless they magically retrained their staff in and instantly resupplied their kitchen. The polite, but (very) young lady presenting herself as manager did remove the omelette from my charge. My coffee, and my wife's pancakes were normal.
I enjoy IHOP food. I also prefer take-out. However, in the waiting area where one waits to be seated there is a large sign that states, "Order your food ahead of time & it will be ready when you get here." I called 30 minutes ahead on a Sunday. I got there. The place was jam-packed. Had to reorder to go. Waited at least one hour. Waited a month before I reordered to go. Called 30 minutes ahead. They said it would be ready in 15 min. This time the restaurant was half empty on a Sat. afternoon. It took 15 minutes for someone to ask me if I had been helped & waited over 15 minutes to get my order. I will not risk a 3rd time ordering take-out or go to this location again.
