I took my two grandsons to Dairy Queen yesterday. Will you ordered one small ice cream cone and two blizzards: a pecan cluster blizzard with extra nuts and an M&M blizzard. The total for those three items was over $12. I thought that was ridiculous but whenever I started eating my blizzard I found the ingredients for that blizzard including the extra nuts were not present. I went up to the counter and asked why there were no nuts my blizzard and I was told that they go by a system of measurement. I basically had plain ice cream only even though I paid a lot for the blizzard. The employees were slow and very rude. I will guarantee that I will never step foot in a Dairy Queen again.

False advertisement. I ordered a meal for my family, they gave me something totally opposite of the menu and overcharge me. Complain to corporate and the owner and they laughed about it!!! Dairy Queen is based out of Canada and from my understanding to corporate they don't like Americans so awesome as Americans on a boycott any outsourced company that thinks we are below them!!! I lost family member in the Trade Center 9/11 and I am tired of these outsourcing companies do think they could come into America and treat us like crap. The owner says "if you don't like it don't buy from us. More stupid Americans will buy from us anyways."

While waiting for food about 20 minutes the shift leader and her new employee decided to do all the trash in the restaurant instead of making our blizzards. Then when they finished they went straight back to getting blizzards made and touched every handle and top of cups. When we asked for a refund they got mad and started using the F word and refused to give us our receipt. This was in Valley View Texas. Stay away!

I was just at the Dairy Queen in De Smet South Dakota. Today I went to the drive-thru and placed an order. I was told to pull around and was told not to come back again. They refused service to me because I complained about their bad service in the past. I was told none of the staff members will wait on me. What a way to run a service by fixing your problems telling the customers who complain to leave.
Complaint: My eight-year-old daughter received an overcooked corn dog. Same day the Hi-C fruit punch was out and it was watered down. Next day I ordered a strawberry and banana blizzard and received a banana split blizzard. The day after I received a strawberry and banana blizzard with just ice cream when I called to just let them know what had happened I was told there was nothing they could do about it. What is upsetting is when my wife ordered this with some food it was not given to her and she had to drive back up to Dairy Queen to get it. So now when I go to order some treats for my girls I was told not to ever come back and they don't want me around anymore. When I asked why I was told because I complain too much.

I was served three sandwiches for takeaway in the afternoon, two sandwiches were consumed in the afternoon, whereas one of the sandwich was left for the evening brunch for my son. While he was having it I noticed that the bread was actually burnt out so I asked my wife whether the other two sandwiches were the same, unfortunately they were the same. So I called DQ at Kennedy and Ellesmere to lodge my complaint, they asked me to bring the sandwich to tell me that the other one will be the same and they cannot replace the meal. The staff was incredibly rude, impolite and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this was my second visit to DQ and now I will never again visit the place. The lost one more customer! Alas.

Sunday, Oct. 30, I just left my local DQ on Cox Road, Glen Allen, Va and was disgusted by the lack of cleanliness. Back counters were smeared with milk/cream, back corner caulking at counter had mold on it, ice cream on the floor at the counter. When I mentioned to the female worker her response was "I'll take care of that later." I was the only person in the shop and when I mentioned that someone could slip and fall, it made no difference. The smeared fingerprints on the doors were also a turnoff. Empty tables needed to be cleaned off. I know that his owner gives much back to the community, but the public deserves better than this. He can do better.

Edmonton, AB, The Dairy Queen / Orange Julius at 11136 82nd Ave. THE MANAGER SHOULD BE FIRED!!! I went in to buy a box of 12 Dilly Bars, he ran it through the till and it came up close to $18. I saw the price but felt leery 'cause I have them before and they were around $15 with GST included. So I questioned him on why so much and asked him to show me the prices for the box. I looked and there was NO PRICES in the cooler on any cooler item, and there wasn't anything on the menu. He proceeds with an attitude, points to the price he rang up, and says, "This is the price." I asked again and he said, "That's price."
So I took his word and bought it, went to my car, and started calling other Dairy Queens. I talked to the location on the South Edmonton side (14151 23rd Ave. Dairy Queen) and the man on the phone told me the price would only be with GST included $15 and something cents. I kept the man on the phone and right away went back into the store to get a refund. BUT the man at the counter said he would not refund me because I had took the stuff out of store and "didn't know if I did something to it." I was only out of store for 5-10 mins max and it was fully sealed and returnable.
I put the other Dairy Queen on speaker and asked if it was my right to return something and get refunded irregardless of being out of store for 5-10 mins and he agreed. I asked the rude, east Indian man who wouldn't refund me to speak with his manager and he claimed to be the manager. I told him his service as a manager was ** and when I left store he swore at me saying ,** and giving me the finger. I walked across the street, got into my car and looked back at the store, and he was standing outside on the edge of curve staring very intently at me like he wanted to hurt me, like he wanted to fight right then and there.
As I drove away I yelled out my window, "What you looking at? Got a problem?" and yelled back profanities and gave me the finger over and over. I will never, EVER buy from another Dairy Queen and I will tell all my friends and family NEVER eat there or purchase anything 'cause they could possibly be ripping you off especially when a manager doesn't have the decency to prove what he charges, could be pocketing change, and treats people with that much disrespect. If that's the type of people Dairy Queen likes to employee I will do my best to discourage everyone I can from ever eating there again.

You are not going to believe this! I just went up to Dairy Queen in Swartz Creek to get my sons some dinner. I ordered and paid for my food and then I believe I seen a girl at the counter wrap or she unwrapped and wrapped back up a sandwich after she just handled money. I told the girl in the drive thru that I would like my money back and why. She went and got the manager who is the man that wears all black and who has a speech impediment, I believe. He proceeds to yell at me and tell me that I am a liar and that I didn't see what I just saw! I said, "I know what I just saw and I would just like my money back". I never yelled and I never cussed at him.
He then puts the refund on my debit card and hands it back to me and screams "don't you ever come back to my ** restaurant again"! I again say that I know what I saw and go to pull away and I tell him that I will be reporting this incident and he stuck his head out the window and called me a **! Now, I ask, what would you do if he DID this to you? Also, my 14 year old son was in the car at the time and there was a customer at the counter. If you were a customer inside or outside in the drive thru and you witnessed this... I would love to talk to you! Some people said tonight that he is the owner, Tommy!

DQ Battle Lake MN - Over the years this place has declined. This year we had hope that things were improving. WRONG. The food is unpredictable. They run out of ice cream. They close at random times despite their posted hours. The people who work here are sketchy - you will never find a real supervisor/adult on staff here. The owner hires high school kids and lets them run as they see fit. Also stories of moldy hot dog buns, poor hygiene, and dirty conditions.

Got home, order was wrong. Missing food. Called, got an answering machine. Day and a half later no callback. Time to move on Colonie NY.

I purchased an ice cream cake, as I understand it should include some cake and the best quality ice cream, given its high price. Instead, it only contained a tiny layer of hard chocolate fudge and the worst low quality ice cream ever. Eating this cake, caused me severe stomach ache and heartburn. This might be due to the low quality ingredients used in the making. It is very unfortunate to pay money to get sick!

A year ago I made a complaint about the store on Curry Ford Rd in Orlando, Fl. The manager and owner asked me to give them another chance. Two weeks ago I gave them another chance. This visit was far worse than the visit a year ago. The store has a board full of chicken meals, however on this visit there was not any chicken at all. There was not any soda, no toppings for ice cream. And there was not any air. The room was very hot and nobody cared. This is the behavior of the owner who could not care less on what takes place in his store. This is a plea to all the people reading this review. I am asking you to avoid this store on Curry Ford Rd, Orlando. The best thing that you can do is put this place out of business or force the owner to sell. This owner cares about nothing. It is your duty to put them out of business or this terrible treatment will continue.

I frequent the DQ in 55116 of St. Paul, MN. The last three visits have been annoying. Visit 1: I pull up to the intercom to place an order. I am asked to wait a minute. I wait two minutes. I pull around to the window, no cars there. I told the employee I don't appreciate being left at the intercom. He "apologized". I place and take my order. Visit 2: I pull up to intercom. No response. I drive to window no one there. I tap on the window. A young woman rudely informs me the drive up window is closed (there are no notices posted and it's noon), closes the window and walks away.
Visit 3: I pull up to the intercom. I try to place an order. The idiot working the drive thru doesn't know how to operate the intercom. I place my order at the window. I get my food. The sundae is skimpy. I ask for more ice cream. The employee (who is dumber than a stick) argues with me and states this is the small. I state I receive more than this and stated I will not accept it. I get add'l soft serve, hopefully there are no boogers in it. The cup is about to burst on the bottom, so I hand that back to get a new cup. I leave for the last time. It's not worth the hassle to get disservice at this location. I'm done.

Last evening I went to our new Dairy Queen on Burkhart and was the sixth person in line. Ordered crept forward as they were busy. Got to the window, was handed a box of Dilly Bars (I guess that is what they were supposed to be), handed my blizzard. After she asked if I wanted a lid, put wrong lid on it, it was a flat lid not the usual, then told I had to wait for my burger. Ok, but why give me some of my items to sit in the car and melt. And shouldn't my burger have been ready? Got the burger and it was cold. WORST HAMBURGER I EVER HAD! I guess I'll go back to the old Dairy Queen on North 41, but ordering any more food from any of them will not happen... and the Dilly Bars, what happened to those? Wont get those anymore.

Has a man ever tasted food so good it made him refer to himself and everything else in the third person? Perhaps it might well be the case with a Dairy Queen. A man buys himself an Oreo Blizzard. The anticipation gradually builds prior to tasting a food, though it does not spike at the moment a food is served upside down, but rather the moment a man is about to take a bite of chocolate plus vanilla goodness. A man enjoys a treat very much while seated in a jeepney during heavy traffic.
A man revels in a treat that keeps him cool in the sweltering heat. A man rejoices in looking for the bigger chunks of Oreo cookie not properly crushed. A man enjoys the sweet taste overwhelming his mouth. A man is satisfied. All hail the Dairy Queen, the First of Her Name, the Unburnt Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and of the First Men Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons. Oreo Blizzard, cold as ice. Oreo Blizzard, winter is coming.

Well it wasn't me but my mom who went to a Dairy Queen in GA and ordered a cup of water and she stated that when she took a sip that she swallowed something that felt slime go down her throat. So when she got home in Anderson SC she took the top off the cup and found first of all that the water was dirty and that there was some more slime down at the bottom and something that looked like styrofoam. And I think that something should be done about that because she got really sick from that nasty water.

Normally we enjoy all the food during our visits to a variety of Dairy Queen locations; the hot grilled foods -- especially the chicken strip basket--are usually quite tasty, which is why we continue to visit Dairy Queen restaurants. The chicken basket we ordered on our most recent visit to the Troy, IL location was no exception. The chicken in the basket was hot, fresh and crispy, as were the lightly salted French fries. Just great! However, the management of and service in that particular location appears to be in dire need of improvement. The staff is indeed courteous enough, but does not appear knowledgeable enough when it comes to corporate policy and promotions.
We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes after three p.m.; I noticed a sign that indicated "Happy Hour" pricing on three beverages, including iced coffee for 99 cents. When I mentioned to the cashier that I wanted to take advantage of the happy hour promotion, she had a really puzzled look on her face, and she had to ask the manager how to ring up the drink at the promo price. While we were eating, we overheard on their P.A. system for the drive-through to be sure to check the receipt to take a survey to receive a free product (I apologize but I don't remember what item exactly the freebie is supposed to be). I also saw signage in the store regarding the same promotion.
When I got the mocha flavored iced coffee, the first sip or two was okay, but then afterward it tasted really gritty, so I decided I would take the telephone survey that was advertised, more in the hope of reporting the poor quality of the iced coffee than for the privilege of receiving a free product coupon. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the receipt and it not only had no store identifiers or phone numbers for the restaurant itself on the receipt, but NO INFORMATION WHATSOEVER REGARDING THE SURVEY! Also, the register tape does not have any pink or other colorization that might indicate that the advertising is missing because the receipt is printed on register tape that is near the end of the tape roll. NO. It's just completely blank on the back side! There is a clerk name and server number with F-0110 Tent #11 across the top of the receipt, but no contact information whatsoever.
The store also had numerous ads posted for various products they did not appear to have in stock, such as the mini Oreo Cookies 'N Cream ice cream cake. We were interested in purchasing one, but didn't find any Mini cakes, in any flavor at all in their freezer case. We did notice two unappealing old-looking ice cream cupcakes in the freezer and wondered whether those are what is now being referred to as the mini cakes. If so, then they don't look anything like the mini cakes depicted in the ads.
More than a couple of years ago I called DQ headquarters to share my dissatisfaction with the quality of one of those ice cream cupcakes and the fact that at the time (perhaps it has been corrected by now?) the cupcakes were being sold without any nutrition labeling as required by law. When I spoke to someone in corporate about the issue (poor taste, missing label, etc.) I felt as though they really didn't give a rat's carcass about the issue. Lip service, and not so much as the offer of a refund on the item or even a lousy few cents off coupon for the trouble. Given that we have enjoyed most of their foods over the past 30+ years, that inappropriate corporate indifference wasn't quite enough to dissuade me from continuing to dine in their restaurants.
I plan to contact corporate again to report that there was something not quite right about the taste of the iced coffee (as though it either had coffee grounds in it or they just mixed an envelope of hot chocolate mix in with regular coffee and the hot chocolate mix didn't dissolve) and about how promotions were poorly handled in the Troy location. If they offer something more tangible than mere lip service in exchange for constructive criticism, I'd be quite surprised (and pleased!).

I also tried one of the cakes and it was so amazing, I love it. I always make sure that I have my DQ every time I watch a movie or just go for a walk. I just love it so much. Don't mind the extra calories as long as I am happy that is what matters haha! Not a week goes by without me eating my favorite DQ... But why the name? Why Dairy Queen? And not Dairy King? haha! I went thru the drive thru and ordered a Butterfinger Blizzard with extra Butterfinger. I got to work and had something full of pecans. I could not eat it. I tried to call and the phone rang off the hook. No answer of the 5 times I called. I called the 800 number and filed a complaint. I work at the hospital. I go in at 645 and get off at 715 am. I go home and sleep until 5, and get ready for work and come in again. I stopped in the DQ this time and went in. I told the manager "Carrie" what happened the day before and she said they couldn't refund or give me anything without getting the Blizzard back. That I threw in the trash about 24 hours prior, so I told her I wanted another one. I repeated the Butterfinger with extra topping. She looked at me like I was crazy, and she started to ring it up, and asked me again what I wanted... I was very angry and told her obviously she couldn't hear.
I had repeated the Butterfinger large with extra toppings about 5 times now, then I told her I would like a foot long with chili and cheese, add mustard and slaw. I should have checked before I left. NO CHEESE!!! I know she did this on purpose. I have my receipt, both of them, and I took pictures of my hotdog with no cheese. I called and the 3rd time I called she answered and said, "Do you want me to fill out a complaint?" I told her no and hung up. I have never been treated like this. She should not be a manager. I am posting this on Facebook for all my friends to see. Carrie needs a hearing aid and manners!!!

Arrive at the Dairy Queen in Wimberley Tx on 3/18/16 at 2:00 p.m. As I was waiting in line to place my order noticed that nobody was in the kitchen for about 10 minutes. I was next to order and was upset because the old lady skip me and told me that the man behind me was a regular customer that goes everyday and that she knew what he always orders. The man was shy and apologize for cutting in front of me. Then the old lady placed my order which was a grilled chicken sandwich combo, 1 side jalapenos, 1 small ice-cream cone.
At 2:20 I walked to the counter to ask the lady about my order. The order had been sitting on the counter for more than 5 minutes already cold. When I took the first bite I spit the food because the chicken was not fully cooked. It was still raw. I then took the sandwich back to the lady. I waited another 8 minutes and my sandwich was still not being made. A customer comes in and a hispanic male which was the cook steps out to greet the customer and in front of me tells the old lady that placed my order that he was going to run to the back to cook the food of that lady that had just walked in because he also knew what she wanted. Wimberley TX. is a small town and I had the impression that everyone knew everyone!!!
It was already about 2:30 pm and I told the lady, "What about my sandwich." At that point I demanded my money! I had paid with my debit card and she wanted to give me the money back to my card but I told her I wanted it in cash. She gave it back in cash. A fast food restaurant with only 1 person on the front, 1 in drive thru, No cook in the back because he was wandering around the restaurant, the manager had stepped out for about 20 minutes. Didn't even bother to talk to me to apologize when I was demanding my money. As soon I stepped out I made a phone call to the corporate office in Minneapolis and spoke to a lady and explained everything that took place. She told me that she was going to give the complaint to the correct people. She ask for my Phone an email which I provided to her. This evening we had a chance to experience Dairy Queen on North reserve in Missoula, Montana. I would have to say it was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had with this franchise. We walked in as several people were walking out and didn't really pay attention that they had not received any service. We waited approximately five minutes and a gentleman to take our order. We then sat back and observed other orders being taken by just a few people behind us but there were at least 10 people waiting for their order. We looked around to the left of us and there was two families also waiting for their orders. We simply ordered a sundae and a parfait and by the time everything was said and done we had our order in 30 minutes.
There was no manager on duty and we ask where the manager was and they said he shows up once every three months. This location was severely understaffed and what staff was there was marginally clean. There were spoons all over the floor behind the counter. There was debris on the other side of the counter that you can see employees were walking on and we watched orders being placed and we also watched orders being handed out and there was staff processing extra orders that no one claimed and some of the staff was putting in the freezer because they found no one to claim the orders.
It was only then when we realize that people were walking out without getting the order because of the disorganized efforts the staff had behind the counter. This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had at this franchise. My wife and I could not believe an establishment with a high reputation providing such poor service. I would not recommend this place on North Reserve just off of I-90 for cleanliness, and efficiency. If the health officials saw this place, I could only guess what problems this place of business would have.

My family and I order ice cream and sometimes food from the Carrollton, IL location at least twice a week. We've been a fan of the ice cream for years. Unfortunately, the restaurant in our town has always been known for the long waits, which is definitely annoying but I've worked in customer service for a long time so I can deal with it. The rudeness is what I'm having trouble dealing with. We've went elsewhere multiple times to avoid the rude staff who forgets we pay their salaries. There are no friendly faces at this restaurant. You'll never get a "thank you" or an "you're welcome". I've made a point to be extra friendly a few times just to see if attitudes will change, it never happens.
I've gotten the wrong ice cream before (I ordered a fudge stuffed cookie, they gave me a triple chocolate brownie), I forgave it and told her not to worry about it so I wouldn't disrupt the night. If you're lucky enough to get a "have a nice day", it's unbelievably fake. At least put on a fake smile and pretend you like your job. There are several unemployed people who would love to have a job and would smile and be way more enjoyable. Every single time I have to ask for a lid for my ice cream and they are so rude about it, sighing and slamming the window like a child having a tantrum. I would be embarrassed giving a drive thru customer a sundae without a lid. I'm sorry, I'm not having an open ice cream in my car unless Dairy Queen wants to pay for a cleaning once it spills everywhere.
The food is usually fresh, but there has been times we've gotten cold and hard fries, a soggy, poorly put together burger, old chilly or old, crusty cheese with our chilly cheese fries. I'm surprised this location is still open. That's probably because it's the only ice cream place in our community that stays open all year around and people would rather wait and pay the more expensive price, than drive 15 miles to the next town. I'm pretty sure this restaurant is privately owned, but I'm not sure. I hope corporate/the owners know that all these problems (poor service, expensive prices, sometimes old food) on top of the long wait (which never fails) is losing the company money and customers, which keeps the store open.

Candy at all the stores and ice cream at Dairy Queen." When I went to get my free kid's cone from DQ, a hand-written sign said "free comes for kid's only." The owner of the franchise showed me a different flyer stating the event was for kids, and "Did I go trick-or-treating in my own neighborhood?" He went on to say as the owner he had the right to make up his own rules. (???)
I later went in to thank him for the free cone, and he stated he'd given out $1500 worth of product, where every other business was giving out penny candy. I suggested next year maybe he would like to try giving out candy instead of ice cream. I did the math, and (at retail prices,) he would have to have given out almost five free cones a minute for the entire four hours of the event to equal the supposed $1500 worth of product he gave away. I also wanted to show him the information, where I had seen "open to the public, all ages, everything is free." He showed me a different flyer, at which point I told him as an employee of the mall it behooved him to find out where the discrepancy originated. He corrected me and said "I am not an employee of the mall, I am a small business owner."
He went on to say he didn't have time to argue with me. I said I didn't think this was an argument, were not my first words to you thank you? He also pointed out that ALL the other adults who came into the store that day bought something. However, there were two adults behind me while I was having this conversation, I overheard them saying they had come for their free cone. I would recommend, based on this experience that no-one ever is a patron of the Dairy Queen in Palatine.
For an alternative, there is a Baskin Robbins on E. Dundee that's open 24 hours (and has better ice cream in my opinion). OK, so it's not in downtown Palatine, but I'll now do anything I can to boycott (and encourage others to boycott) the Dairy Queen in Palatine IL.

I went to the Curry Ford location in East Orlando. Problem one, the store clearly posts closing hours of 11 pm Monday-Thursday, and the manager closed the store at 10 pm, and the staff said this is common practice. Problem two, the store was closed an hour early and the staff started playing very offensive music while there were still customers in the dining room. The kind of very foul music that was offensive. Problem three, when I complained I was very upset because of the offensive music the very rude and nasty manager told me to lower my voice or leave. She was very nasty and not at all concerned about my complaint.

I went to the Dairy Queen in Point Pleasant, N.J. I ordered a small Hot fudge sundae with whip cream and a cherry. Going through the drive through the attendant said it would be five dollars and change. When I reached the window I asked why the cost was so high. The worker apologized and said it was 75 cents extra for the whip cream and the cost of two cherries on the sundae would be 61 cents per cherry. Is this insanity, how can you charge 61 cents for a cherry? The price still was not right. In the future, I will go to Carvel they put whip cream on all the sundaes with no additional charge. Not only that, but when I got home and looked at the sundae it looked like they ran out of hot fudge, a slight drizzle of fudge over the ice cream. I would not consider that a sundae. I certainly did not get what I paid for.

Good Afternoon. I am writing to tell you about the poor service I received today. I went to Dairy Queen on Rufe Snow Dr. North Richland Hills TX. I was greeted by the girl in drive thru. I ordered a taco salad. She told me it would be 6.48. I handed her 21.48 expecting to get 15.00 in change (fives or a ten and a five) she hands me 15.00 in ones. Why would I give her a "$1" only to get 15 "$1's" back? I told her I didn't want all those ones. She call the manager and then she still handed me 2 fives and 5 ones. She then tells me to pull up and it'll be a few minutes on my salad. She parked me for 15 min and no one came. During this time an African American manager walks right in front of my car leaving for the day "I guess".
I park in a spot and go in then ask for my money back and then the manager comes over (some young guy). He apologized, now he's trying to figure out the refund. I tell him it was 6.48, some other girl said "where's her salad?" The salad was hanging in a bag on some bag hook so I guess they returned it to the cook after I said I want my money back. I finally get my refund, the guy apologized again and said "have a nice day". Really? Have a nice day. I grew up on Dairy Queen and have never had such poor customer service ever. I do a lot of reviews on yelp and other sites and believe me this experience will be documented. Maybe you need another system for parking people.

I was there today over the lunch hour. Like normal they were short staffed. It took 20 min to get my food. I overheard one employee say they had two employees quit on them today. Wonder why that is. Could it be your new general manager who is a drunk that apparently plans to run all your good staff off. When this happens I will no longer stop there. It means something to customers when you pull up to drive menu and two different workers already know what you're getting.
Those two take the time to relate to their customers. I've told them both if either them quit I won't come here. When neither of them work I can tell long lines, rude staff, unpleasant. Rather than punish them you should reward them. You should be glad you have them both (mother & daughter). Thank you both for wonderful service. Don't give up. I had to ask for lids and a receipt. Still didn't get our order in a bag. First clue to drive-up window is that it's "to go" and 2nd clue is I'm driving -- not hard to realize this. We drove home which is only five minutes away and when we opened up our treats, they were liquid, milk and chocolate -- couldn't even eat. This is the second bad experience I have had with DQ. So first of all 9 out of ten times my order is wrong or something is messed up to where I can't get what I want. The only reason I go back is that it's closest place to my house besides McDonald's. But this time was particularly frustrating. So I pull up and try and order my usual chicken strip basket and they tell me the grill is shut off for the night. But I was almost positive I had ordered a meal late at night before (which I remembered after I left I defiantly had ordered a meal even later than I went this time) so after I couldn't get my meal I just ordered my drink and the drinks for my friends and then they tell me they're out of bananas for the banana split, (which I know isn't really something to be mad about. It's not their fault but it was just this on top of everything else that was frustrating).
So after I order it takes about 4 minutes or so per car to get through the drive thru and they had a few cars but they weren't particularly busy. So 15 minutes later I get to the window and have to wait another couple minutes for them to even greet me and I'm not even kidding my order is wrong again. I don't know why I was surprised. So I tell them it's wrong and the girl at the register asks the girl who made it if it was triple berry and she says "yes" (so either she lied or she doesn't know what freak she's doing) but the girl at the register still remade it for me and there was a clear difference in taste and color so know it was wrong the first time.
So after all this I tried to call the manager for a free meal and long story short he basically refused me because he said there were a lot of people who called in asking for meal because of this (Well yeah obviously this is gonna piss a lot of people off. Doesn't make a difference how many people call everyone of them should get a free meal for their incompetence.) So I called customer service and now I'm getting my free meal in 3-5 business days, but seriously I shouldn't have to wait that long. I tried to get my meal quicker from the manager but he rudely refused me.
The only reason I go back is because it's convenient and Dairy Queen is one of my favorite places and not gonna just punish myself by not going back there. I like the food and drinks and I'm not driving all the way to next Dairy Queen. But everyone in there should be fired and there should be a new age limit because everyone who works there is some young dumb teen who doesn't take pride in their work and could care less if you have a good experience. So unless it's convenient for you I seriously wouldn't waste time going to this DQ.

Grants Pass, Or Dairy Queen... My boyfriend has been planning a bbq for my 25th birthday and I am a big fan of ice cream cakes. So, we decided to order a blizzard cake. First off, why change your menu? So many of the same blizzards have been on there for years, now you hardly have a selection. That right there is a big reason I will never spend another dime there. Secondly, my boyfriend put in the order for my cake at the beginning of the week (today is Friday) they told him they don't carry the specific blizzard cake he asked for... even though it was one of the few they have left.
He was told to call back later. When he did the person he was supposed to speak with had left for the day. He called back again and was told something was wrong with the order. He called again this morning and found out the message on the cake was wrong, as well as the type of cake. And to top it off, the cake will not be available until 4:00 pm tomorrow. So I explained to her the mistake and her response to me was “Oh everybody makes that mistake.” And my response to her was: “If everyone’s making it it’s because of your false advertisement. I had my awful experience at the DQ in Southdale mall in Edina, Minnesota. I had bought a Chicago Dog. The cashier told me they don't have any cucumbers. I was fine with that. She walked away from the counter without taking my payment. Very unprofessional! A guy came from the back and walked to the counter and took my payment. He never said, “How are you? Would you like a drink with your hotdog?” I bought a orange juice anyway. I went to have a seat to eat the Chicago dog. I was so happy, because I was craving it for a few days. The banana peppers were big and not cut. I had picked up the dog, it was sweating and soft from the warmer they keep it in. While holding on to it with my hands, I had taken a small bite and the dog fell apart with the toppings all over me. The bun tasted not fresh. It was soggy. How can it be soggy with veggies on top?
I went to the counter and asked for it to be made over because it fell apart and the bun was soggy and a mess. He said, "You can get another bun." He went to the back and grab a bun with a tongs and walked up to the counter with it. (I'm thinking “is this a joke?” He said, “You can get another bun." I ask “can you make it over and put a relish on it?” He said, “that will be $2.40”. I asked, “why are you charging me for another hotdog when this product is not suitable for eating?” He said, "This is our policy that we don't give refunds or make food over." He told me to scoop my toppings out the messy box and put it on the new bun he was going to give to me.
I asked to speak to the manager. He said, "the manager is on jury duty and will not return until the weekend." He put his name and the manager name down on a piece of paper and also the manager number. The cashier who made my hotdog ignore me while I was at the counter. She never asked, “Can we get something else?” She said, while making someone else food, “it's not my problem you can't eat your hotdog."
I have called DQ International on April 2 for the complaint. I did receive an email saying someone will contact me. I also called on April 6. I haven't heard a regional manager return my call. The customer rep said, with it being close to the weekend, that might be the reason why I haven't got a call. Today is April 7th and haven't heard a response. I am going to wait until Thursday and it would be a week. This need immediate attention. I didn't get my money back or my food remade. She ordered her usual, which is the 6 piece chicken tender basket and I wasn't that hungry so I ordered the chili and cheese hot dog. Good thing I wasnt that hungry! The cashier brought our food and the first thing I noticed was that there were hardly any French fries in the basket and no dipping sauce like I asked for at the counter. The tenders were also very small, seemingly half the size of the ones in the other location that we usually go to. So, I asked what happened with the fries and could we get more so he said he would "see". I also reminded him of the dipping gravy and he said, "oh yeah". So, he comes back with about eight French fries in a small box and a container of the gravy that was COLD. Then, I open my hot dog and it was TINY and tasted if it had been re-heated from three days before.
For this little bit of garbage, we paid $13+ dollars! There are other DQs in the area and their food and service is MUCH better than this (blank) hole. I was going to complain to the manager but was so disgusted I decided not to. I really wish I had complained. One would think from the outward appearance of this place that it would have been just the opposite of the experience that what we had, but not so. Also, it took us several tables to find a clean one.

Food is what you would expect from a DQ, but what sets this particular "restaurant" (5596 NC Highway 42 W, Garner, NC) apart from the others is the customer service. I've only been there twice and that was enough to steer me away from ever going back. The first time I got some dark haired brunette working the counter. I come in say "Hey. How are you," and all I get is silence and stares. She clearly didn't want to be there and in turn decided to make me feel as if I shouldn't be there either.
After ordering I paid for my meal, still not a word from this girl. Not even how much my meal was. So I get it to go because if I had to deal with this girl's teenage attitude any longer I would've made her day a lot worse. The second time I came was after working a 12hr. shift. It was about 9:00pm when I arrived. Now remember the store closes at 10:00pm. The brunette was there sweeping, as a pretentious teenager should be doing, and again no greeting or even an acknowledgement that I came in. Behind the counter was a skinny blonde. I ordered what I wanted and she rolls her eyes looks at the brunette and tells me that the grill was "technically closed." Now I'm not sure what DQ policy about closing the grill is, but at every other restaurant the grill/kitchen closes when the place does, not an hour earlier.
These discourteous teens just didn't want to work. Even if they had to re-heat the grill, how long would it take to make a cheaply made burger? 15 - 20 minutes at most? I told the brat to forget it and left. I left hungry and annoyed. If these spoiled children don't want to serve then maybe a job in the SERVICE industry isn't right for them. Hey if you don't like your job don't take it out on the customers. We aren't the ones who filled out the application. Anyways I would avoid this place at all cost. Much better places and better customer service can be found only a few minutes away.

A few days ago my jaw fell wide open and person who made my medium choc. ice cream cup w/ choc jimmies explain to me that only 4 or 7 oz (co-worker help to say 7oz) will be put in medium cups from now on. She barely put on jimmies besides @ $3.30!!! Does that look like 7 or 4oz to you??? What a joke, less for your money!!! Nice going dairy queen!!!
And after I stated it's not worth it & it's disgusting looking, she mention she can only add very little more because 4 or 7 oz rues of ice will be used from now on. They did accept my cash before making it and never offered me my receipt back and when I seen how disgusting this contraption was, last thing on my mind was a receipt, got played well...
Walmart has 1/2 gallon choco. ice cream @ $4.00, driving for an overprice several oz of ice cream cup isn't worth it. Question: are oz used in your burgers & other sandwiches you make??? Your mushroom burgers surely looks & taste like it's cheaper, had one, barely any mushrooms on top w/ swiss cheese. It look like cheese had holes... Are those being weigh now??? included is a pic of my medium choc. ice cream w/ jimmies.

The employee who waited on me had on a filthy black shirt and apron. She was an older woman (possibly the owner?). She made a poor milkshake with no whipped cream or cherry. I was completely turned off and would never eat anything here and probably never go back although it is the first time I have seen her there. This was at the Ferry Farm Dairy Queen on 3/8/15 at 4:30 in the evening. Ferry Farm, VA 22405.

This morning I went to the Dairy Queen located at Beach St and Tarrant Parkway. I went through the drive-thru, ordered a #8 chicken finger basket with a sweet tea and a banana split. At the time I did not request any honey mustard to go with my order. Pulling forward to the window I was greeted by a young lady, not the same one that took my order. I proceed to pay her and she gave me the banana split and sweet tea. She then tells me I have about 30 more seconds on my fries and asks if I will pull forward and she will bring those to me. At this time I asked her if I can please have a honey mustard. She said "Yes, I'll put it in your bag". I said please don't forget and she replies that she won't. I pull forward and wait. The lady that I had just asked for honey mustard brings me my food and quickly walked back inside. I check over my order and notice there is no honey mustard in the bag.
I get out of my car, into the freezing rain and walk inside. I do not see the lady who brought me the order so I ask another lady working behind the desk. I explain the chain of events "came through the drive-through, I asked for honey mustard, she forgot it and did not place it in my bag, can I get a honey mustard please." I am then told "Oh, I'm sorry sir it's $.54." I reiterate the story once again and this time add that I was never told it was supposed to cost anything, was just promised it would be brought to me but wasn't and then offer to run out to my car and get the money.
At this time, the manager pops up behind her and states "Yes honey mustard is $.54, you have to pay for it. I'm the one that took your order and I remember what you said and you never asked for honey mustard!“ I replied that I had just explained twice that this transpired between the lady at the window and myself. I then explain again that nothing was ever said about the $.54 and I would've been happy to have paid it so at that time, had it been said, rather than having to get out of car and get into rain another time. She then explained that the #8 only comes with gravy, if I wanted honey mustard I would need to pay $.54. As I turned around to walk back out to my car to go get the $.54 she loudly yelled "Oh no no, you can have one now." Feeling extremely embarrassed as she is shouting this in across the dining area in front of others, I reply that she made the rules clear and I would return with the money.
I proceed to leave and once I got to the door, she mutters under her breath "**". After this embarrassment and name calling, I return and she is nowhere to be found. I asked the lady at the front who the manager was and she said it was the lady who had just called me an **. I have never been so disrespected by anyone in the service industry and she is the manager to boot. It was utterly humiliating and the worst display of customer service I have ever seen. I will make sure to let all of my friends ,family, coworkers and anybody else with ears know exactly what kind of service and respect you get at the Dairy Queen at 8620 N Beach St, Fort Worth, TX 76244-4920.

By the way, three staff members. Will not visit this DQ again so please don't send me a coupon for free fries with my next visit. To top it off you took my $18 and some change and we were the only customers inside the store and the poor people in the drive thru were waiting and complaining as well about the wait. The tables weren't wiped off, the floors weren't swept, and the chairs weren't pushed in. They didn't hand us any napkins either. I found a HAIR in my FOOD!!! I know what you are thinking (disgusting!) but you have NO IDEA what it tasted like. Let's just put it this way. It tasted like horse feed (it is NOT TASTY!). I'm surprised that this place is still running! I would give it 1/4 of a star if I could! I hope this was helpful to you!!

The manager told me she put the package between a lot of boxes and cardboard must be trashed away and she did opened the box and knows what inside the package. I also have my phone number listed inside the invoice package.
The USPS called the manager, but the manager told USPS she forget the box in the store and must be thrown in the trash. And the rubbish is taken away. I believe the honesty and the trust is broken. Went to the Dairy Queen for lunch today with a co-worker. Both of us ordered $5 meals off the menu. His was the Bacon Cheeseburger and mine was the 2 wrap meal. His came to $5.40, which I thought seemed high since there is 5.8% sales tax in Milwaukee. Then I found my total came to $5.51. When I questioned the counter person she said it was because of differences in taxes. The manager concurred that it was because of tax differences. This made no sense since both of us ordered $5 meals. The 2 DQ workers explained that the tax was actually on what the meal would have cost if it was not on sale for $5. I tried to explain that is not how it works. For example if you buy a car for $5,000 you get taxed on the $5,000 price not the $10,000 that the car may have originally been priced at. The policy is probably criminal. Any thoughts?

My daughter and I went to pick up an ordered cake and decided to have lunch there. There was a picture of a chicken sandwich that looked good so I ordered it. When I got to my table with it, I noticed the lettuce looked old, so opened it to remove the lettuce. What I also found was 4 small cut up pieces of Chicken. Put together, that would not even come close to the size of the whole piece in the advertised picture. The employee that made my sandwich did not care in the least about my complaint and gave me a disgusted look and walked off. Needless to say I will never order there again, not even a cake.

The Palmetto BP with a Dairy Queen and Subway has had a sign on the drive-thru speaker that says "We are currently only excepting cash at this time. Our credit card machine is down." The sign has been up for over a month, and usually only comes down for a day or two before it is back up. I drive through on my way home from work because I love a quick small soft serve ice cream when I can get one. I don't carry cash though, and I don't know many people who do. This problem is unique to DQ, and not the Subway or BP, or the cash machine inside (and no I'm not willing to pay $5 in fees from the machine and $3 in fees from my bank to take out enough cash to buy a $2 ice cream).
I'm having trouble understanding how a company would allow the credit/debit service to remain down almost indefinitely. I've worked retail all of my life, and if our machines were down for more than an hour, we would be raising hell, or looking for a new service. I don't even pull through anymore. It's a waste of gas. I won't even go in to the grammar issues of the sign.

On Friday, June 21st of 2013, at approximately 6 pm at the Allen Park, MI location, we ordered a small peanut butter shake, a mint Oreo blizzard, and a banana split blizzard. The shake was fine. The mint Oreo blizzard was plain white ice cream so we asked them to make it again, but they just squirted green liquid on top of it. The banana split blizzard was chocolate ice cream instead of the white and had only two slivers of strawberries and one thin piece of a banana entirely throughout all of it. We dumped the blizzards in the trash.

On Wednesday, May 15, 2013, after a full afternoon and evening of painting in our son's house, we felt a treat at DQ would be a reward. We arrived at the DQ in Plainview, Minnesota at 9:22pm. We knew it was this time because we noticed all the chairs were on the tables and we commented that they must be closing. The sign on the door stated that closing time was 10:00 so we entered and ordered some Blizzards - a favorite of all five of us. When the Blizzards were being prepared, we asked if we could sit at one of the booths in the eating area which had been blocked off with stools. (There was one table located in the ordering area, but it was already being used by other customers.) We were flatly told no because "the tables had already been sprayed". We had to eat our Blizzards outside (temp at the time was 62 degrees according to our car display).
At other restaurants when closing time is stated for a certain time, clean up does not start until that time. What is interesting is there were five more cars which entered the parking lot - two left when they noticed the chairs on the table. I believe there is a statement on your application form which states that one of your goals is that customers have a memorable experience - we certainly did!

I got tough, old chicken strips and no dip to soften, oversalted chicken wraps and no sauce inside (the girl said there would be) and no catsup for the extremely salty fries. So my one meal of the day was the toast and a few fries I soaked in my mouth. There's no working phone number to call and complain. No way am I driving 15 miles to go back tonight. My husband and I were traveling north on I-77 in N. Carolina and stopped for the night. A Dairy Queen was across the street and we walked across to eat. There were only 3 people in there - the girl at the counter didn't act like she even knew what the heck was on the menu and acted like she was in the Twilight Zone. After she took our order, we noticed several people standing around waiting for their orders - there were 4 cups of ice cream melting on the counter, receipts and table #'s were strewn all over the area along w/ a bunch of trash strewn on the floor.
I ordered chicken tenders and my husband ordered 2 hamburgers. As we waited, we talked to a couple people who were waiting, saying how busy the place was & no one seemed to know what was going on that worked there. After about 20 minutes, the girl brought over the chicken tenders. I ordered 4 and French fries. One of the tenders was cold. The French fries I wouldn't have even given to a stray animal. My husband's hamburgers never showed up. Needless to say, he was so mad that he demanded his money back. I know they were only kids, but there was no quality of food, training or cleanliness of the entire business.
What's up with the manager? How can you possibly keep a business like this in operation only but through the company name itself? We were appalled at this whole experience & my husband does not like to complain because he doesn't want the workers to get into trouble. I'm sure it wasn't their fault - it is poor management. Please try to do something about the quality of food you feed to the public & make sure your staff is trained. It was definitely the worst experience in my whole life. What are you going to do?

We went through the drive thru to celebrate my 7 year old's performance in her spring concert. We ordered a small dipped cone, a small hot fudge sundae, and 2 banana splits. We were told our total was $7.86. When we got to the window (which was open already), we overheard one of the employees, possibly the manager, complaining and sounding extremely frustrated, although they did not seem busy at all. We waited for our order and finally a young girl came to the window and stated our total was now $10.86. When I mentioned we were initially told $7.86, she simply said no, it's $10.86 (apparently we're charged $3 extra to actually pick up our order at the window).
We have gone to this DQ numerous times as we have lived in the area for over 10 years. When we received our order, it was pathetic, to say the least. The hot fudge sundae had maybe a tablespoon of fudge on it at best. The two banana splits had almost no ice cream in them. The bananas were two times as big as the amount of ice cream in these sundaes! To guess, there was maybe a total of 2 oz of ice cream in each sundae. We had to add ice cream from home just to be able to eat them. These used to be very good sized sundaes! To make matters even worse, when I called the 'main corporate office' in Minneapolis, I was transferred to Customer Service and remained on hold for over 20 minutes! I still haven't spoken to anyone. I don't have time to sit on hold forever. Dairy Queen has horrible customer service.
