I was ready to buy a house and researched, researched, researched, home loan institutions that catered to the VA. There are quite a few but none had the ratings that Veterans United did. From the moment I called the Veterans United number the people on the other end of the line went from being nameless, faceless people to a team of dedicated specialists with two goals in mind. Making me a member of the team and guiding me through every part of the loan process to ensure that everything goes smoothly and I experience the least amount of anxiety and dread as possible.

As a first time home buyer, Veterans United made me feel comfortable and worked with me every step of the way. They went above and beyond what I would have expected from a mortgage lender and were very diligent in doing what was best for me! Can’t imagine a better team to be with me for my first home purchase!

My husband (Tim) and I started working with Veterans United over a year ago when we started preparing for an out-of-state move. Our plans were delayed for many months and we didn't follow up on things. They were very professional and helpful! When I kept changing locations for a home and they helped me a lot and were patient. All three of my team members were extremely helpful. The real estate agent I worked with was very pleasant and not pushy on one house or another, she let us decide.

Got my VA mortgage through Veterans United. Tony and Jenn were excellent. The whole process was fast (about 30 days) and easy. I was kept well informed through the whole process. Their website was easy to use and to securely upload documents.

If you are a vet with decent credit this is the place to go for a mortgage. The process is seamless and they walk you through every step. They are always available to answer questions and concerns by phone or text. The entire experience is online. The rate was highly comparative and they worked closely with the realtor, title company and provided detailed information on utilities and resources.

I would 100% recommend Veterans United. My concern had been how hard it would be to do everything online. Turns out I needn't have worried. I didn't really even need a computer. I did it all from my phone.

Veterans United were awesome to work with. Kim H. was the first one I talked with when I called in. She is very easy to talk with and makes you feel comfortable when talking with her. She was always cheerful when I called to ask questions and always had time to talk. Donald was our loan officer, he and Haley worked all the details with the underwriters and made the experience easy to deal with.

My wife and I used VU and the experience was horrible. They prequalified us for $15k less than our new company. Also they quoted us at 3.2% interest with zero towards closing costs while our new company is giving us 2.5% plus $2k towards closing costs. VU also has a 1% hidden fee we were not aware of. As a veteran I am disgusted with how they treated us. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THESE LOSERS TO BUY A DOG HOUSE.

Veterans United was the first and only lender I reached out to and I'm glad I did. They stayed in constant communication with me, I never felt like I was figuring things out on my own. My initial preapproval wasn't what I wanted and they explained to me what I needed to do to be preapproved for a higher amount. Great customer service, will be referring any veterans I know to them.

In this case I was compelled because of attention to detail and the professionalism in handling my file also the extreme level of detail given by my Loan Specialist Zach **! If you are in the market for a purchase or any home lending needs, do yourself a favor and look him up! I have used other "Big" banks in the past for home purchases and what have you... I without any hesitation, unequivocally highly recommend Veterans United! Shall the need arise again to get a new home mortgage or refinance, I would use Veterans United again period, full stop!

There were some complications along the way and some delays, but the great staff at Veterans United never wavered and I was able to get a Approved, and able to close on a nice house for my family and I.

Had two previous mortgages prior to this one and none were as simplified as this process. Scott H was very professional and courteous. Held our hand through each step of the process and made sure we understood everything.

Okay so with a FICO that is 16 points from perfect (according to Experian) and after 44 days of waiting {I purchased from start to finish in under 2 weeks in 2017 at 3.75%} and researching the Political affiliation of this lender [after the episode at the Capitol on 01/06/21] discovering that their Political contributions go [discovering a "CONSERVATIVE" Super Pac is the sole beneficiary of our Veterans Money] solely to the Republicans. I pulled my "Streamline [01/12/21] Refinance" application that was supposed to be a 2.25% refi (total savings over the life of the loan was about $13,500.00 had I waited for that "final approval"). I also promptly listed the 4/2/2 Florida Home on 5 acres for sale at $345.000.00. I believe you have an obligation to equally distribute your PAC money after all it isn't your money. It is OURS and Veterans are not a monolithic group, BUT YOU ARE.

Veterans United charged us a hefty fee for the services they provided, that we later learned most banks will provide for free. They sold our loan to a third party lender before the first payment was due, and the third party has been nothing but problems.

This is first house I ever bought and it was my first time using the VA Loan. Initially, I was nervous about the whole process, because this is a big purchase and big decision in my life. This was easier than trying to get my DD-214 when I was trying to honorably discharge from the Navy.

In all things you must have faith to know their team and process will result in a positive outcome. You do your research, ask questions, read and watch their educational materials, and work with the staff knowing that are there for you. I was recommended Veterans United and was a little unsure of using a company that wasn't based locally that I could deal with face to face. After the first phone call I was put at ease and couldn't believe all of the services that they offered. Austin and his team of professionals truly made the home buying experience so easy and smooth. They were easily accessible and always had answers. They set me up with a real estate agent that I could not rave more about. As the process moved along, they kept everything easy and explained every step that we would be taking, down to the smallest detail.

Started the process on 23 MAY 2020. Was told we would close “on or about 20 SEP”. End of JUL, my loan officer calls me to “see if you were still interested in the loan”... I had sent, electronically, the information she asked for SIX WEEKS earlier! They kept putting me off, kept needing re-dos on forms, kept changing the closing date, kept me in limbo all while promising they were getting close. I paid for an appraisal in AUG, they did not order one until OCT. I asked several times, due to their haphazard service, if I needed to find another lender. They always promised me that they were on top of the situation, and we were getting close. I would email required forms, and I would ask for updates. My loan officer would promptly reply in 3-4 days. As a precaution, I checked with a different provider.

Great place for veterans to go to. They made it fairly easy to get through the process. Thank God people like them around. They definitely go above and beyond their job. They step up and help veterans where most people don’t. Very helpful to me and other veterans I know. Josh and his office have been wonderful. Highly recommend them. The process is easy to apply for the loan is online. Any paperwork that require signature or turned in all can be done online. I highly recommend our veterans to go to this company and they don’t do just zero down home loans. They can do them all.

You will not be disappointed. Veterans United is an amazing company that employs amazing people. They really care. They are super knowledgeable and very responsive. It didn’t feel like we were hundreds of miles away. Absolutely use them for a VA home loan.

This company was horrible in my experience with them because they preapproved me for a VA home loan when they were not even supposed to because an issue they had with my payment history (wasn't an issue with other lenders). The problem here is that they will preapprove you so that they can get their commission, but then you go and spend money on an inspection and everything else that you have to pay to get a loan for them to turn around and tell you that you should have never been preapproved in the first place. I'm not saying this is always the case with everybody but I'm just warning you to be very careful because it happened to me and I hate to see other veterans taken advantage of by these people.

I tried other loan places and I definitely can say Veterans United gives the best service and looks out for their customers. Robert was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. I had limited credit history and they worked to get me a good APR.

They sent me back a bunch of ** letters saying your score, your income, your loan is not approved I had through a Veterans Bank. Would be helpful but they're just scumbags like the rest of them.

My loan officer was amazing, she was patient, and understanding that I have a full time job. Amy talked me through every step of the process even on the weekends when she was off. Veterans United made it remarkably easy for me to upload any documents at any time of the day and night. Rheadawn was very courteous and helpful understanding the process and what I needed to do.

This is the second time we have used Veterans United to refinance different properties. We have recommended to our friends and family with varying degrees of satisfaction. The first time in 2016 was a breeze even with some hiccups along the way. Not sure if it was the Pandemic or just the load of other buyers and refinance loans going on that REALLY slowed down the process the second time. Took more than 2 months the second time.

I have a unique situation regarding a loan with the gov't, so I went to Veterans United because they advertise that they are great with these and VA issues. Unfortunately, they are not. They kept making promises about getting the information this week, next week, two more weeks, etc; I still haven't gotten what they promised me they would get 4 months later. Good thing we moved on from them or we wouldn't have been able to close on our house. We also kept receiving conflicting information about what documentation we needed to have. Nice people but I'm not going to trust my financial future to someone nice, I'd rather have someone that can keep their word.

As a first time home buyer, I'm so grateful to the whole Veterans United team for making buying a home such an easy process. They assigned me great realtors with lots of experience with VA loans, helped me determine my price range and monthly payments, helped me find trusted a inspector, appraiser, managed any additional organisation like HOA fees, and even got me set up with the services I need to set up (like trash, utilities, water, etc). They helped every step of the way so I could accomplish my tasks while working and didn't need to get bogged down in research. They saved me a ton of time and made the process so easy!

Every form was digital making signing and reviewing quick and easy. They gave me real-estate agent who was friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. I was assigned Jessica ** NMLS ID#** initially. We spoke through email and telephonically on multiple occasions during the pre-approval process. I explained everything surrounding income, expenses and work as well as provided all documentation necessary and requested. I was approved for a fairly low amount due to myself and my family moving across country and In order to increase the pre-approval amount She said to provide a letter from my prospective employer showing that I will have work once we relocate. This will be sufficient to compensate for lack of work history as well. I reached out to my future employer and asked if they would be willing to write one for me which they did and I forwarded it to her along with previous work history and schooling experience. From this step on red flags started to pop up.

From pre-approval to close, Carrie and Nina we so helpful, informative, and quick to respond to any of my questions. I wanted to Purchase a Condo in Dallas and although it's a can be a little more difficult due to some of the VA requirements, Carrie made sure that the place I found was VA approved and we started the process. I did all of my paperwork online and we closed in a very quick time frame. I submitted my initial contract on June 16th and closed on July 15th with the option to close on the 9th if I had wanted to! If you do the work on your end Veterans United will reciprocate and work just as hard. I highly recommend veterans united to anyone veterans looking to purchase a home! Loan mitigation fraud during Covid. Veterans United has said they don’t question integrity when giving an applicant Covid relief on the mortgage. Nor did they seek consent for a jointly owned mortgage and allow fraudulent information to allow loans to get Covid relief for 180 days.

Just as I had thought, do not believe everything you hear or read about this company. No different than any other. Of course they have a lot of positive reviews. But are they from real customers or have those reviews been “paid for”? Doesn’t really matter. Because if your credit score meets their qualifications, then you will probably have no issues. With them or with any other company. My credit does not meet their qualifications. Which brings me to this site to write this review. After having my ass kissed for nearly 40 minutes about how wonderful Veterans United is and how great I am and how easy the process is and how much I will love my new home and how they can’t wait to put me in it... the “specialist” ran my credit. My score did not meet their threshold of 660. Ok. I knew that.

My lending team was very professional and persistent with information and answers I had questions about. It is hard to put trust in lenders nowadays but Kody and Holly took very good care of me and guided me through the process. This team I do trust.

My wife called them to get some information and they pulled my credit report without permission or even talking to me. We aren't looking at buying a home for at least another 6 months. Nathan, the "CEO" acts like 40 year old child along with his shady team of dufus employees. They are nothing more than a bunch of scammers taking advantage of veterans.
