Chase bank is corrupt. Their mortgage dept tried to foreclose on homes of active service members who were deployed overseas during the recession. They sold my mortgage to a collection company even though I was never late on a payment. I do not recommend this bank to anyone.

They are a great company. They understand and value their customers. I had experienced much difficulty with my previous lender of another mortgage loan. As a result, my credit suffered. That experience soured me on lending companies. I worked hard to repair and to rebuild my credit. Chase was there when I was ready to buy again. They treated me like my business meant something to them. I doubt another lender would have been as generous.

Upon applying for a mortgage, we made a mistake of informing the mortgage when, John **, about my wife's cancer remission, because he totally discriminated us. After we submitted our personal information, he disappear for as almost a week, and after several attempts to contact him, we succeeded, but he wasn't willing to help us get the amount of loan required to get our home, he attempted to bury us in more debts, by suggesting me to refinance my first property! At this point my wife and I decided not to do business with Chase and I initiated to close all accounts with them. I can't believe that in 2017, Chase is I still applying certain discriminatory practices in this case against my wife's medical condition. My advice to potential applicants DO NOT share your medical history with any lender, even if the agent seems to be a nice person, remember they are for they work for the lender.

I am a first time home buyer and my experience with Chase Bank Mortgage has been a nightmare. As with all the other stories I have read, they are not what I expected at all. Very disappointed with the whole experience, the lies, the lack of communication, and the condescending way I've been spoken to. I wish that I would have found this website before I applied with them. I am with a new lender now, and the experience is much more relaxing and easy.

I am a long time Chase customer who had a 797 credit score until Chase took care of that and destroyed it. Starting in 2009 promising modifications on three rentals we own. They gave me one modification after months and months. Finally giving me a nod on the second one but refusing to send me monthly statements. On the third property they have illegally foreclosed, illegally broke into it, illegally shut my utilities off, illegally cancelled my hazard insurance.

On September 7, 2017 they closed checking account claiming they no longer wanted to do business with me. They wrote me a letter dated September 8 telling me this and I did not receive the letter until September 12,2017. I have spent $37,000.00 fighting them and still have gotten no where except that the house is in my name. Now they are attempting to foreclose again on September 21, 2017. Anyone wanting to contact may do so. It is unbelievable that a bank can do what they do to people and get away with it. I have contacted the Comptroller of the Currency and they tell me to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Agency. I have and they are of no help at all. No amount of reaching out to them helps. They are screwing the American Public and Jamie Dimon CEO should go directly to prison and become a roommate to Bernie Madoff.

This will be the first time I have ever written a review. As a business owner I am sensitive to online reviews since many of them do not tell the full story. My story is simply this: I ended up being a customer of Chase Mortgage as a result of them buying my mortgage from the previous company I did business with. When they assumed the mortgage they contacted my local assessor’s office to get the parcel number of my home since it was a mortgage with escrow for taxes and insurance. The parcel number they were given was for an adjoining property that was free and clear. When they paid my taxes to the county from my escrow, they paid the taxes due on the unimproved land... a much lower amount. I then received a notice from the county that my taxes were left mostly unpaid.

After 4 telephone calls and countless hours with their tax department, they agreed the problem was theirs, caused by them and they were willing to pay the fines I had incurred for being delinquent. Fast forward 12 months... Again Chase pays the taxes on the wrong property but this time they claim they must since now my mortgage shows both properties on it.

The last communications I received was from Susan ** (with no phone number to contact her directly) stated she could not remove the wrong parcel number from the mortgage (even though they put it there), but I could, on my time, send a written plea to the Chase Land Transaction department with supporting documentation from the county and have it removed. I paid off my Mortgage to eliminate having to deal with Chase again and to receive the money back from the county that they paid on the wrong parcel. I would highly recommend you do not mortgage with Chase since it is clear that any problems they cause will soon become yours.

I've had this house on the market for 3 years and every offer I got Chase denied it and once I got an offer that Chase agreed and we still haven't closed yet. The offer was submitted in early December of 2016. It's now 29 August and still no closing date. Every time my realtor and I call my file manager isn't never at work and when she is at work she's never at her desk. I swear that I will make sure every person that I encounter that's trying to purchase a home won't use Chase Home Mortgage. If I could give them negative stars I would. I am not sure how Consumer Affairs is doing its job, but I know for sure the banking system and mortgages are not doing their jobs and in a place like America, which I hold in the highest redeem - what goes on in the system of lending - is frankly unacceptable by any standard whatsoever. I am so deeply saddened that, the practice, which should be unlawfully illegal, is simply accepted as a part of how the system is suppose and everybody in the loop just simply bows down to it. I am saddened to see that, consumers have not yet, demanded that fairness and justice is in place and out of lack of knowledge (not due to ignorance, cause it is NOT written anywhere but out of experience, including Consumer Affairs - DOES NOT DO ANYTHING other than bow down).

I am at this point on my 4th time dealing with a loan officer to purchase a home. Each time, I am told, my debt to income ratio is good, my credit score is 739, I have the down payment amount of 20% AND at least 12 months in reserves. All credit cards paid to almost zero. What is the problem then? In not getting a loan after 4 attempts now and having spent close to $20,000 dollars in home inspections so far? Prejudice? I am not sure? I am not an American born but I am a citizen yes but my income is from abroad? Is this the reason? Not sure. Maybe, yes - maybe no!

But after going around the loop for 4 times now - I can tell you for sure - it really is about people NOT being able to do their jobs and the consumer having to pay through the nose because of it. This shouldn't be happening. Each time - how many wrong assumption an underwriter was willing to make instead of really looking at the paper work was a problem. Each time, an underwriter and therefore institution not being able to make the timeline, being the reason a deal dropped out - was the reason - why I have spent over $20,000 dollars!!! They have said a week turn around, it ends up being a month. Simply cause they do not deliver, in the guidelines they said they would.

This is not fair. Either deliver the deadlines, and not have an underwriter look at so many files that they can't deliver or be the responsible party to pay for all the costs UNLESS you deliver. Either OR... but have some laws in place - where consumer is not at the beckon call of a underwriter not doing the job. It's not one bad apple, the system itself is the bad smelling apple. The amounts of mistake I had to handle - yet with no results - but the mistakes itself were so stupid and wrong. There is a total communication break down. If an underwriter - doesn't take the time to really look at your file - they can claim for conditions that are not even a reality. Unless you check a very limited box- they don't know what to do with you.

Right now, besides being perfect on paper, I have half of the money I am applying for in the bank. Yet, once again they have not delivered on time, and once again the seller might pull the rug from underneath me... cause the BANK is not delivering in timely manner. If I don't pay my credit card in time what is the cost? Higher interest rates not the mention high penalties for being late. Nobody cares, if I am sick or my mother just died? Fair enough. Business is business. But when banks, don't deliver? There should be a cost, equal to what they demand... at the very least, pay for all my costs for getting me to believe, you would do your job, if you have not delivered? Or - have a law that forbids, paying for appraisal out of pocket. Out of my pocket if you deliver, not out of my pocket if you don't.

Make it hard for underwriters to be having a bad day, OR huge institutions that decide not to fund you... there has to be the COST of doing business on the shoulders of institutions as well. If there is not; as in the lending loop, lets not pretend the consumer is being protected in any way. It just isn't the case. Again, Chase is claiming conditions for approval, which are not really conditions, if they really looked at the paperwork. What they are asking for are already fulfilled conditions - minus the possible prejudice part. Which I am actually rather fine with. I would take that anytime over people not doing their jobs and really looking at the paperwork cause they have too much "other" stuff going on. But laws not protecting the consumer over the institutions are not ok by me... they are dragging their feet for an amount of a sale price that I have 50% of in the bank already. My seller is probably not going to wait around!

Conclusion? I am happy - I have decided to buy cash down. Problem? As consumer we shouldn't be so mistrusting the system, IF we do there is a reason - and the system should change. With all the reviews I read on this website, it's amazing to me, the system is still in place the way it is. Chase being a very good example for how it doesn't work. The system needs remedy for sure and urgently. Anyone who has been through it can see it is theft of the consumer - while everybody else has themselves covered. Should not be happening in this way...

It was a nightmare applying for a mortgage with Chase (a bank we have used for over 35 years). First red flag was we were told one month in that we were going to be denied. My husband questioned them and they had left out substantial income! Once that was resolved there were other constant obstacles. We have owned previous homes so we know it is a process but they kept asking for explanations of our documents. They had the numbers in front of them and couldn't figure it out! Two months into the process we had to apply with a different bank. In the end we were able to close with a new bank without a problem. But Chase screwed us one last time. They refused to release the appraisal we had done with them. We had to get a new appraisal for the home we were purchasing. I would never recommend them to anyone!

Our obligations are too high, $15 a month credit card payment. They are saying husband has credit issues with one hospital bill of $153 and credit score of 650. The lady is trying to save her credit. She is struggling to get the mortgage payment every month. My husband has had bad dealings with them before. It is not right on what they are doing.

Stay far away from Chase if you are getting a condo. My loan officer says Chase has a special questionnaire which they won't give you so you can pay an extra $300 buyer's packet from the HOA to get it. I was able to get a copy of this top secret questionnaire through someone else, so just email me and I can give it to you to avoid having to pay a buyer's packet through the HOA. But to avoid all of this, stay away from Chase for condo financing. They blame everything on Fannie Mae and I'm just waiting to hear that somehow "Fannie Mae" (i.e. Chase) has denied my loan because of one made up problem or another. Chase - I want my $300 buyer's fee package reimbursed! I shouldn't have to pay to have a questionnaire filled out that I should've been able to get from the beginning! You shouldn't hide this questionnaire from the buyers!

After I became sick and lost my job, had to stay with family out of state, and was behind $1500 on my mortgage, Chase foreclosed on my lakeside condo. 14 years and never a late payment and they foreclosed without even a courtesy phone call. It has been 2 months since the sale and the law firm they use, Codilis & Stawiarsky, will not release the excess proceeds to me. They also have not used the sale proceeds to pay off my mortgage, which is accruing additional fees. They ignore my calls and emails, will occasionally respond and ask for information, then no contact for another week, nothing but delaying tactics.

Chase claims they have nothing to do with it, yet this is a firm Chase partners with and they should own that relationship. Allowing the firm to sit on the money, not pay off the mortgage, run up additional charges, and withhold my funds is unethical. Do not do business with Chase. Do not use Chase to refinance your home loan!!! Chase has owned our home loans in the past and when it came time refinance we decided why not try them, big mistake. At first it was pretty good but once we started the process we were treated like a stat that had to be reached. When we tried to get information on different ways to refinance, it always felt like what we wanted was dismissed and Chase was only interested in what was easiest for them. The only way that they would give any numbers to consider for the loan is if we provided them with $500 for good faith and appraisal. We were promised that we could get back the $500 if we decided not to do the loan. Chase is a big company so I thought we were ok.

Then the circus really started. They had two different people working on the loan which is understandable but if you asked one of them a question they would say they did not know and we would have to ask the other guy. Then you would talk to the other guy and come up with more questions and he would say you had to talk to the other guy. Basically one hand did not have any idea what the other was doing. Then we started to get some numbers but one of the bankers at Chase started to go as far as to basically talk down to my wife who is a working professional in computers and she refused to deal with Chase and asked me to finish the process. The circus continued and the numbers would ever come out like they said they would and neither of the bankers would be able to explain why.

Finally after two months of not closing on a loan and after they wasted hours of our time I stated I wanted to cancel the loan process. I had family obligations and could not continue. I was referred to another person and when I told the original two bankers that I was waiting to hear from the lady I was referred to they hung up on me and I have never heard back from them. I asked for my money back that I was told I could get back and was told that was not possible.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and after waiting three days for her to call me she called. She asked me to go through the situation so I went through everything again only for her to tell my that they decided to refund me $30 and they could not refund the other $470 even though it was their lack of ability to do a simple refinance. I complained and was told that she is not authorized to make any refund decisions. So basically she wasted more of my time to help me with nothing. They say their calls are recorded and I've asked them to review the calls and that I want my money back. I was told they would look into it. It's been a week and haven't heard anything from Chase. There are a lot of companies out there willing to refinance a house. Use any of them. Tell all your friends and family to not use Chase. I do not want anyone to have to go through the circus that I am still going through!

I initially got worried reading all these terrible reviews about Chase home mortgage when I was looking into doing my refinance. But I've heard so many more terrible things about Quicken loans, I decided to stick with the bank that held my loan, and my 2nd to refinance. Yes, it took about 6 weeks, yes, they appear to want ALL KINDS of documentation and tax records and explanations, but don't they all? Anyway, the appraisal process went very quickly and my house appraised for 10k more than what they initially thought so I had a lot more to work with. I wrapped up my 1st, 2nd, student loans, credit cards and still had $ left over to me at closing. My interest rate was competitive and my monthly payment is about $1200 less than what I had been paying, so I'm extremely happy about the overall process.

What I've noticed is that the underwriters really do want to help you, they really do want to lend you the money, but they are people too and if you are rude and snarky with them then they don't want to call you and deal with you. They are people too, I found that they were extremely helpful and the entire process took about 8 weeks from my initial submission to actual funding. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how I've been treated and my new financial package.

My wife and I lost our jobs during the banking crisis of '08 and '09. We contacted our mortgage provider (Chase) that we would like to see if we could modify our mortgage agreement. They wanted a hardship letter explaining our situation and a list of supporting documentation. We faxed everything requested and waited to hear the decision. At regular intervals they requested more recent documentation. After months of re-submissions, they indicated we were going to have a 'trial payment' period where we must submit the payments on-time for a short trial period. We did as instructed and continued past the number of months until they sent our payment check back and said they couldn't accept our checks or payments any longer. This situation continued for 3 years with Chase requiring more recent documentation.

Then, out of the blue, they said we had qualified for a modified mortgage (enclosed with the letter) and we had seven days to accept or it would be withdrawn. We signed it. Our mortgage changed from a 30 year fixed to a 40 year fixed at a lower interest rate. We did not notice they had also taken the 3yrs. of payments we didn't make (their instructions) and added them to the principal balance plus interest. We finally found a bank that would refinance our loan in 2016. Our payment increased a very small amount but the term went to a twenty year period. This year, we received our interest statement from Chase. It indicated we paid over $39,000 interest in 2016! I asked if could be a mistake. They filed a dispute on the amount and came back saying it was correct. It appears they charged all the interest for the remaining term of the 40 year loan as capitalized interest! What a crooked institution!

The representative kept asking for more paperwork, which might have been due to the underwriter, but it also seemed like there was always a problem with the uploads and had to be redone. Then the agent went on vacation, then they wanted other tax returns, then they wanted the new ones from this year, then when I called they said it was denied because I didn't get back with them... I had a message the day before and an email saying to go to my online account, which I did and there was no message. Wasted my time and delayed my refinance when I needed the funds.

I should have known better. I applied for a Chase refinance last year, with the same lengthy process and excuses. I ended up going with a different lender and a better deal that saved me thousands of dollars compared to going with Chase. Within a month, the company we went with ended up selling the loan to... We had one of those terrible loans from 2006, with an ARM. We had modified the loan a year after thru EMC Mortgage with was good for several years. Well, as time progresses banks buy and sell mortgages. Ours, was one that ended up with Chase. So now, fast forward into the future, mid year of 2016, we receive a letter saying our mortgage is going up $500 bucks. We have a renter in the property covering the current mortgage and we cannot afford to pay more. We contact Chase and they do a quick affordability survey on us and decide that we indeed cannot afford the additional mortgage and send us paperwork for a modified mortgage. Once received the paperwork, we send it back with a substantial amount of back up, bank statements, pay stubs, rental agreements line by line explanations of bank statements. Finally, October we receive a letter from Chase approving us for one little thing and that was a Short Sale!

My husband's credit score was 800, we have never been late on any payments, so therefore we did not qualify for any mortgage assistance programs. Their letter stated that we had 14 days to find a real estate agent, submit all of that paperwork for the short sale, list the house, etc. Remember, we have a tenant in the home on a three year lease who we have not spoken to as of yet. We decided to discuss our situation with an attorney, and of course he said that in most cases unless, you don't pay your mortgage you won't get help (what?). So we submit all the paperwork for the realtor, kick out our tenant, show the house a few times and now we receive another letter from Chase, saying that we are no good for a short sale. "That window closed. You now need to reapply." So I did all the paperwork again, resubmitted it and it has been approved, but for only one loan and not the other. So now dealing with that.

Also, my husband went to make the payment on both mortgages on a Friday, and one went thru and other did not, because Chase closed and turned on their auto message. So first thing on Monday morning, he explained what happened and he did not want a late fee or any derogatory issues with his credit and they actually told him that they could accept his payment but it will be late no matter what. HATE Chase!

Every time you call you have to go through the 15 minute process of being directed around. And God forbid they need a form. You have to fax it 6 times and then they will say they got it and then a week later say they did not. In this day and age you should be able to contact someone with out being transferred 12 times.

My husband and I bank with Chase. We own a business and use Chase for our business. We decided to use Chase to purchase another home to replace our residence that we sold. We also wanted to refi two rental properties while rates are low and get some cash out. We started this process Dec. 12, 2016. Basically, their underwriting department is nonfunctional. We are business owners and we know we have to submit more documentation, but that wasn't our problem. We provided business returns, personal tax returns, rental leases right away. The purchase needed to close in January. Still not closed! Refi should be simple, right, I already own them, still not closed.

I read another review and my experience was exactly the same. I sent requested documents in the same day. List after list of documentation. Letters of explanation, followed by letters from my bookkeeper, follow by more requests for letters from my CPA. Come on! Can underwriting read a tax return they requested? We have a small, simple business.

Bottom line I finally pushed back in February and requested to close the refi of rentals ASAP. ASAP to Chase means March 27. I decided that if Chase can't get my purchase done in a timely manner, I would have time to check out some other banks. One smaller bank was so nice when we walked that we met the loan officer right them. We explained our situation. She told us she could close this purchase in March. Really, this is the end of February and we are business owners. She assured us that it can actually happen. We decided to let her start the process. She already has an appraisal, underwriting has finished and she's ready to close at this local bank. I keep asking if she needed all these documents that Chase needed and she said, "No we can see that on your tax returns."

We have to wait for Chase to close the rentals since some of our cash down payment is from those closings. Chase loan officer is nice, processors are great. Underwriting and getting documentation routed in a timely manner or even at all is totally unacceptable. I will be moving my personal and my corp business account to this incredible, local bank. The amount of time I wasted dealing with Chase makes me sick. If I ran my business that way, I would not have a business.

I refinanced with Chase last month. I did not get the best deal I could have got. My loan officer Joe ** quit his job during the process of the refinance. It took over 3 months to get the loan done. My rate was locked for a longer term than it needed to be. That cost me thousands over the course of the term. Every single time something needed to be processed or documentation was needed I had it for them in less than 1 day. It never took me more than 24 hours to provided the paperwork. Still in between each of these submissions were weeks of dead air. At one point I wasn't even sure the loan was being done anymore. Towards the end of the 3rd month my rep was replaced by a more responsive agent with a cocky attitude named Aaron **. He does get the job done but as a former loan officer I know for a fact that he did not explain things right.

He told me he had 15 years of market experience or something like that. I bet it's really more like 3 months. I still to this day do not believe things were explained to me honestly and I never believe my best interest was being considered. Before the loan closed I contacted a manager named Sandy **. I left him a message and he called me back as the closing agent was arriving at my home. The only reason I went ahead with it was because my previous loan was so bad that even this in my opinion was the smarter deal and rates had gone up since I locked. I also have my first child arriving in 2 months so time is very sensitive for me right now. So I signed the deal even though the fees were high and I did not get the best rate I could have got. I reached out to the manager after the signing and got no response.

Days later I got a notice from my previous lenders stating I was late on my payment. I told Aaron about this and he said that it should have been funded which I found out later it was and their old computer system automated that notice. During that conversation I mentioned that I left Sandy the manager a message. Aaron said "that's not right. You should call again." I respectfully disagree. He should called me but I assume since it was funded I was all but dead to them. Bottom line is, educate yourself and make sure you have a loan officer who is punctual and is wise enough to navigate you through the process so you can get the best possible situation. Try a credit union or small bank with good rates. I got hosed at Chase.

I have had my second mortgage with Chase Bank for 20 years. We have paid them on time every month for that entire time. Due to a divorce we are refinancing the property. Everything was fine and a closing was set with a local bank. First, due to the merger of Bank One to JP Morgan & Chase, I had 3 liens showing up on my title work which caused an issue with the closing. My new mortgage company requested information regarding these liens from Chase on the 28th of February. They also sent a request to Chase to get a pay-off on the Tuesday the 28th of February. No big deal right? 4 days later, still no pay-off and no information regarding the multiple liens.

I called to talk to somebody about the delay on Friday March 3rd and she was fairly nice and said she would escalate it on the 3rd. She acknowledged they received the request on the 28th. She hoped I could get the payoff at the latest on the following Monday since that was the day we were to close. She did fax me a one in the same letter which helped clarify the multiple liens but was unable to get me the pay-off. I called again on Monday after my new bank said they were still not getting anywhere with Chase. For the record, my first mortgage got them my pay-off right away. So I called and talked to a customer service rep who stated it could be another 5 days from the 3rd of March since no one put in a work order until I called to inquire on the 3rd. He too acknowledged that the first request was received on the 28th.

So here we are on March 6th and my closing has been delayed until God knows when. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the gentleman I spoke to said it would take about 48 hours to get someone to call me back. I will NEVER use this bank again. How hard is it to get a payoff? Both parties I spoke to at Chase Bank stated the request to get a payoff was on the 28th. So they dropped the ball and I suffer since no one created a work order until the 3rd of March? I was to buy another home and now because I don't have my pay out from the refinance I may lose the house I wanted to buy because of their inadequacies. Beware...

After my divorce I was left the house and was told I needed to remove her name from the property. I was first told I needed a quitclaim deed which I purchased and filled out (cost 215.00). Filed the paperwork at the city on which I live and was told the property was mine only to be told by the bank that they would not accept the form. They said because it wasn't typed they couldn't accept it. So fought them because no idea type writers anymore and a year later they finally accepted it but said I still had to refinance which would cost me 7000 and a higher interest rate at the same time.

I filed for mortgage assistance and was told they could lower my payment by 12 bucks if I missed three payments in a row which would destroy my credit. I declined and went to the branch yet again to ask for my credit score from a past report ready to just get rid of the house. A new mortgage officer who was very nice heard me speaking and ask why I just didn't do an assumption. Me and the other Chase employee both ask what that was. As she explained I could pay 1.5% of the remaining value of the home to either add or take off a name. After years of going thru ** I was angry but agreed to give it a try so I fill out the paperwork like always in the Chase branch at my job with the broker who faxes over the info. I wait and receive two diff letters that say they haven't received my info and are closing the request.

The missing info is my SSN and yearly wages which number 1 you have to verify your SSN just to speak with someone on the phone. (2) I'm at my job in the Chase branch located in the building so not only am I incompetent but the other 2 Chase employees that faxed this over are too. Well I called Chase and then reversed the second payment, but I explained due to my being debited 2 times, I incurred $140.00 in overdraft fees from my bank. The first representative I spoke with ask for a copy of my bank statement to verify the fees, I faxed it over immediately.

I was told, however, they will not reimburse me for the fees. Later, I asked to speak to the acceleration department, managed by Jamie **. I spoke to Mr. **, who stated he would contact the online department and will review my concerns. He followed up by sending me a letter too. Beyond that I have never been late on a mortgage payment in over 25 years of home ownership. Chase has proceeded to analyze and reanalyze our documents coming up with never ending lists of extraneous BS that has nothing to do with our loan or our ability to repay it. It seems like every time the new list is submitted to Chase a new underwriter looks at the file and comes up with another list to address. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! BREACH OF FIDUCIARY DUTY. I purchased a house in early October. Per the closing statement information provided to my original mortgage company it was not to be paid with closing if closing happened before the 15th (which it did). Then in mid-November the mortgage was sold to CHASE MORTGAGE - this is when everything went south.

After receiving a property tax statement noting a December 10th due date (already late as it was January)... I called Chase to ask what was going on? I had over $10K in my escrow account and that included 10-months of taxes... so why hadn't they paid??? Their response? "Oh we thought you paid on closing." I check all my documents... which they also have and they clearly state it IS NOT paid on closing. So I fax them a copy of the notice and request that they make payment for both the 1st and 2nd installments immediately so as not to incur additional penalties. FLASH FORWARD TWO WEEKS. I check my statements online and NO PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE?!?!?!?

I call back to Chase who now tells me that they are still reviewing it and won't pay until they are done reviewing... REVIEWING WHAT?!? I HAVE A TAX NOTICE IN FRONT OF ME SHOWING THEY DIDN'T PAY ON TIME. I have an escrow account that clearly says it has 10+ months of est prop tax in it. I have given my approval to pay... and nothing.

I have to talk to several people at Chase. The first guy tells me he will connect me to the escrow department so I can request a waiver from the account... now tell me HOW STUPID ARE THEY??? If a payment I already requested is in-process why the hell would I close the account before it processes. To say that they have grossly mismanaged my mortgage in less than 3 months would be a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT. It is difficult as a customer when you cannot rely on the company to uphold their fiduciary requirements to their customers. Once the payments are made I will start speaking with other bankers about getting this mortgage moved. This mortgage is the largest outstanding loan I have, so the fact that they are not properly managing it, causing me penalty fees and potentially messing up my credit is reprehensible.

Don't blame the Loan Officer... it's their Underwriting Department. If you sit down and think about it, the person you are working with to get you a loan makes his living on a percentage of every loan he gets approved. Now it is important that the person you are working with knows if you will qualify or at least thinks you will. The problem is when you both do all the work and your loan officer submits it to Underwriting, that's where there is an incredibly different result. I believe they make their living by denying the loan applications. You never get a chance to explain anything they are troubled by.

And my question is when someone is analyzing an extensive stock portfolio, is that Underwriter really astute enough to understand what he or she is looking at? I highly doubt it because if they were that smart they would be in a far more lucrative profession like being a financial analyst. I believe the problem at Chase rests in their Underwriting so my suggestion is not to waste too much time and effort unless your Loan Officer is 100% sure you will qualify for what you need. Stick with 100% and I think you will be fine. Otherwise, you may be wasting a lot of time and effort.

I have had my bank accounts and mortgage held through Chase since Washington Mutual succumbed to the mortgage and banking crisis of 2008. I refinanced my mortgage in 2012, and was treated with the utmost courtesy, the process was easy, and I got a better interest rate. So, when I decided to remodel and upgrade my home, getting a home equity line of credit should not be a problem, right? WRONG. My local loan officer was pleasant enough, but it soon became apparent that he was going to be no more use than a shoulder to cry on throughout this horrendous process.

It started out simply enough with filling out a form online with the help of the loan officer. Some personal documents were required, which I expected and thought appropriate. However, I began to get a sense that something was off when I had to inform Chase, who holds an escrow account from which my home insurance is paid, what the name of my insurance company was. It would seem that they should know this already since they are the ones paying the insurance from the escrow account. Having already started the remodel and packed away all my documents, I did not remember who held my insurance as I have never made a claim in 20 years. I had to call Chase to ASK THEM who held my homeowner's insurance so that I could call back the HELC department to TELL THEM who it was. They could not be bothered to look in their own computer and get this information themselves.

Then I had to give them my tax returns of the past 2 years to prove my income. The W-2's from the past 2 years were not good enough. As the tax returns were electronically filed, there was not a pen-and-ink signature on the form. I was forced to sign the form and resubmit the tax documents, even though I dated the signature the day I signed it, fully 2 years after the document was sent to the IRS. This makes no sense. Then came an employment verification document to prove that I was working at my job for the time I specified and that I actually had a job, my last paystub, dated a few days before this request apparently not being good enough.

Then they discovered I had another account with another bank (savings only). I had been using it to pay for the remodel as they were dragging their feet on approving this loan and because apparently I am not allowed to use my own money for what I see fit. They acted like I had withheld information from them (even though it's all there on the credit report that they had for weeks). Now, 60 days had elapsed from the first credit report obtained, so I had to get a 2nd set of reports for them (at my expense) since they had "expired". I put a credit freeze on my credit to protect myself from identity theft in the past as I have been in a cohort of millions of people whose information had potentially been compromised by Target.

I released 2 of the 3 reporting agencies but could not contact Equifax on the phone in order to have this done quickly as my PIN number was also in my documents that are packed away due to the remodel (not thinking I would need this after releasing it the first time). This was treated with a huge amount of suspicion by Chase. Not that I didn't have the PIN number but that I had put on a credit freeze in the first place. I am now wondering about the intelligence level of the persons Chase hires to work in their loan originating department. Additionally, even though I had unfrozen 2 of the 3 reporting agencies, surprise, surprise, Equifax, the one I could not release in a timely manner was the only one that they used "in my region." Why did they not tell me this before I wasted money and an hour at work releasing the other 2 credit reports?!?

But it does not end there. Then, I was told that they needed the contract I signed with the contractor performing the work on my remodel because when the appraiser took pictures, I no longer had a kitchen as the old cabinets had been taken out at the time that the appraiser came through. They needed this information in order to be able to lend me $20,000 to remodel the kitchen as the house was being used for collateral for the loan (WTF??). I only got this explanation after demanding to know why the contract was needed. By the time of this request, the new cabinets were going in so I told them they could bring the appraiser back out to take photographs of this. They would not, no explanation given.

By this time, it was apparent that Chase had no intention of granting me this loan. In case you were wondering if I am a deadbeat, I am a physician with a stable job, salary in the low 6 figures, I've lived in the same place for 20 years, have a good credit rating, and have no debt other than my mortgage. To me, it looks like they were fishing for reasons not to grant the loan. I went to a credit union right after that phone call, and a few choice words to the sleazy scumbag on the other end, and was approved for a home equity loan IN LESS THAN 1 HOUR. This, after dicking around with Chase for 2 months.

I am now in the process of pulling my mortgage from Chase and going with the credit union. My monthly payment will be several HUNDRED dollars less a month even with the same interest rate. Please everyone, LEAVE THE BIG BANKS. They are getting ready to have another financial crisis anyway. Something is up. I can tell from the other posts I have read here. There are people with even better financial standing than I who have been treated in the same deplorable manner. They are no longer willing to lend, which means that they are in some kind of trouble that we will find out about soon enough. Get out while you still can!

It's been 8 weeks now and they are still harassing me with complete nonsense. Never should of started with them. This is my 3rd house and I have never went through anything close to this. Extremely disappointed and aggravated with Chase. I am ready to cancel and submit all documents with another lender right after I withdraw all my assets from Chase. SO STAY AWAY. Recently, Chase sold service rights to Carrington for one of my mortgage accounts. During this, they also transferred authorization to do auto withdrawals to make payments on the mortgage account. As Carrington Mortgage was negligent in communicating with us on this, we made a regular scheduled payment by check to Carrington. Upon reviewing our checking account activity, my wife noticed the auto withdrawal and we came to find out that Chase had transferred our personal checking account information and access to do auto withdrawals to Carrington without notice or authorization from us. We will soon be no longer doing business with Chase Bank or Mortgage.

I have had a Chase mortgage for five years. We currently have almost 50% equity in our home and wanted to remove the PMI and take out money to pay off debt. When I first called I was told it was pre-approved. I've just spent over two months being screwed by this company. The timeline of events seriously sounds like a company who was making up new rules and laws as they went over the two months. Eight weeks into the process they decided they didn't like how much I was paying for my student loans so they came back and used their own calculation and then said that our debt to income ratio was "now" too high.

We decided to pay off something else to bring the ratio in line. They then called and said that because I write off a few business expenses that they have to take that off my income and my debt to income is too high. It goes on and on and on like this. Too many instances to write about, but finally we're done and are not able to refinance with the company who we already have a loan with. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND GO ANYWHERE BUT CHASE!!!

Horrible experience with Chase. I have been waiting since March to refinance my home. It is now December, and I still don't have a closing date set. I was originally quoted a rate of 3.25. They came back 3 months later and told me that because of Texas law, the lowest rate they can offer is now 4.5%. Since then, it has been a comedy of errors. I have been shuttled endlessly between corporate and the branch, neither of which are on the same page. If you are considering Chase as your mortgage banker, I would urge you to reconsider.

So, with an 800+ credit rating and 2 mortgages already with Chase (and NEVER a late payment), we decided to take a home equity loan to help pay for our daughter's wedding. We were told it would take less than 30 days and usually only 2 weeks. They asked for the same information at least twice and often THREE times. And, each time we sent them the requested info. Often we wouldn't hear from them for over a week.

When my husband or I would call to inquire, they would say they were just waiting for X and as soon as they had that, we could close "next week". I would tell them I sent them X the week before and they would then confirm that yes they had that and they would be in contact to close next week. Next week would come and I would call to let them know what days I was available (I often travel for work) and they would say they were waiting on Y. I would tell them I sent them Y twice before and sure enough, they would find it and tell us we should be good to close the next week. This little ritual repeated for months. Finally, my husband took money from his IRA thinking we would just replace it when the loan came through. I mean surely we'd have it in 60 days, right??

After weeks of frustration and sending information and leaving messages, we were approved to close on a Tuesday. There was a three day wait until we could have the money but our completely worthless loan officer assured us we could go to a local bank and pick up the money and get it back to the IRA in time to meet the 60 day deadline. Remember we were supposed to close in 30 days? And more than likely 2 weeks??? So, we signed the papers on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and on the following Monday, my husband called to see what bank he could go to pick up the money - because it's due back in the IRA by Wednesday.

We live in the Kansas City area - guess what? The closest bank we could pick up the funds was TULSA, OKLAHOMA. Four hours away. They couldn't / wouldn't wire the money to our account or overnight a check. We would have to be there, in person, with 2 forms of ID. OK, my husband talked to someone who arranged a meeting with someone in the Tulsa bank. He jumped in the car and drove 4 hours arriving at the bank about 4:00pm. But, guess what? The loan wasn't in the local bank's system.

So, they know he's coming, they know WHY he's coming and yet it isn't until he arrives (4 hours later) they discover they don't have the information in THEIR system? From THEIR employees?? I just hung up from him and he is still sitting in the lobby in TULSA OKLAHOMA as the employees work to try to get us our money. Hopefully, he will make it home by midnight and can get the money back into his IRA tomorrow but I've lost all faith in Chase.

This has been, without a doubt, the single most frustrating financial transaction we have ever had in 30 years of marriage. We have 2 rental properties mortgaged by Chase but I'll be shopping to refi those ASAP. This experience has been way too ridiculous to retain any sort of relationship with Chase or to ever want to do business with Chase again. Take my advice - call ANYONE but CHASE!!

Everyone I know warned me against using Chase for a mortgage. My realtor was very worried about it. I was told their numbers were too good to be true, they wouldn't get your mortgage closed in time, or the appraisal would sink the deal. None of that was true for me. I worked with a mortgage broker named Garrett ** and he was terrific. Part of their process is that you have to get all of your paperwork electronically turned into them in a timely manner, preferably same day. I did as they asked and everything went very smoothly. A lot of the reviews I've read seem to be unjust or more of the borrowers created the problem themselves than actual Chase. If you don't want to put the time into managing your mortgage process and assuring paperwork is done on time, then by all means use a local mortgage broker that you can meet with and they will hold your hand.

I made the mistake of doing this for my first mortgage and they then sold my mortgage to a national bank and obviously made money off of me. This go round. I went to the big bank first since I knew they could give me the best deal. We actually got everything done so fast. I closed 5 days earlier than expected. The Chase broker and the representative called me every week to go over what was done or needed doing. They were extremely pleasant every time and always helpful. The online mortgage tracker is great too! It lets you see where you're at and how much more it'll take to close. And when you get to closing they send you the nicest book I've ever seen with all of your mortgage info, appraisal info, and general area info. It's really impressive. So if you are a take charge kind of person and understand electronic submission of requested paperwork then go with Chase for a mortgage and request Garrett **.

So Chase bought my mortgage from another company (MetLife Home Loans) since I had other accounts with Chase. At first I was happy to keep building my portfolio with the company, but then it became abundantly clear that they are money hungry like the rest of the banks out there. I have paid my mortgage every month on time and in full since the start of my loan 12/2010. I called as I neared my 5 year mark and asked about the requirements for my mortgage insurance to be canceled. I was told you need to pay your loan down to 90% and the loan has to be current for 5 years.

I bought my house for $85,764, so I did the math and I had to get my loan to $77,187.60. I did not pull this number out of thin air. I have calculated this and kept this as a goal for months now (almost a year). So I had already satisfied the 5 year requirement, but got my loan down to $77,034.23. I called and put in the request to cancel the mortgage insurance. They stated they would review my account and send me a letter. I rent the house out, so I did not receive this said letter, but gave it a few months. Seeing the mortgage insurance still coming out of my escrow, I called back to find out what is going on.

Now, conveniently, the requirement is 5 years and 80% of my loan. So now I have to pay it down to $69,323.04. I am sure by the time I get it down to that, it will be a new moving target. I know I did not hear wrong or misunderstand the first initial customer service rep because I have had the $77,187 amount on post it notes and on electronic reminders throughout my cellphone and computer, so I didn't just magically make up this number. I am going to get my money out of Chase as fast as possible. These guys are crooks. Why wait until we find out they are the next Wells Fargo right?

Chase denied my initial requests for assistance, then subsequently denied receiving three additional applications despite the fact I sent them via facsimile from inside Chase Bank here in Oregon to Florida.

I had telephone contact with a Chase Bank Veteran's Rep, who requested yet more paperwork, which I again sent from their own bank, and never heard back from the so-called Veteran's assistance representative. DO NOT USE CHASE.COM FOR A MORTGAGE LOAN: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - The middle of June 2016 I started a mortgage refinance online. In the past I had did my mortgage loans the Chase bank. Never a problem & always a pleasant experience. I was totally wrong. The entire process took three & a half months and my credit was 2 days away from being negatively affected. I have never had a late payment, & here Chase tested my patience. I had most my paperwork to the loan officer within 10 hours and the few documents took 24 hours. I was in constant contact with them. The middle of August I contacted them to find out when the closing would be. They said they were almost ready for it. They figured the closing cost into the loan, which I told them from the beginning I would be paying it. It took another 15 days to refigure the numbers.

The day of closing Chase never sent the documents to the title company. Which was weird because they called me 2 days before to confirm the date and time. The closing finally took place on September 15. I was told the documents would be sent to Chase Mortgage by the 19th. On September 27 I received a call from the title company who told me Chase missed a document and I still needed to sign. That document was signed and returned within 5 minutes. It took Chase.com 13 days to get that document to the title company. In order to get the old loan paid off and start the process for the new loan with the mortgage department I had to start to file a complaint with the Executive Office, which I still have not been contacted by them.

Finally I reached a supervisor, probably the only competent person in the whole company. Imagine my surprise when she told me the old loan could have been paid off without this form because the rest were signed. The last document should not have held up the process for 13 days. She also told me the old loan will be paid off that day (September 28) because their system talked to the Mortgage dept's system. The process is finally completed thanks to that supervisor. I dealt with eleven people at Chase.com. Some ignored my phone calls altogether. None had a sense of urgency to complete the loan process within a reasonable time. I was told that process took so long because they were really busy. I know people who started their finance, new loan process, or sold a house and still had their process completed within 30 days. Absolutely no excuse.

I am so thankful I was not purchasing a new home. The home would have fell through because Chase would not have closed on it in a reasonable time frame.

Because of this process I moved all my money, except what I would need to pay my mortgage out of Chase. Although I have had a positive experience with my local bank, I am now very cautious of their service. My co-worker found the reviews on Consumer Affairs after I told her my problems. I was completely surprised by all the unsatisfactory reviews for Chase.

I do not normally post my dissatisfaction for a company, but this process went above and beyond bad customer service. I will never refinance or start a new mortgage loan with Chase. This was a very stressful process. My local bank could not help me because they are a separate entity from the department I dealt with. I felt I was on an island all alone with no one to help me. Chase.com could care less about my frustration and time to complete this process. To them I was more of a pain and they did not want to be bothered. They would complete by refinance when they were good and ready, and it could be in 6 months if they wanted to take that long.

They said it didn't appear the taxes had been paid yet. I asked them to make a notation on the account that we were selling the property in hopes that the payment would not be made. When I called back to get the final payoff amount needed for closing they informed me the taxes had now been paid. They said I would have to wait some time before I could take steps on getting a refund. The reason for the wait was more on the end of the county not the bank. I called back a few months later. An investigation was opened and they said I should receive check within a few weeks. Again the time delay seemed to be on the county side not the bank.

I called back a couple of months later after receiving a check for $39. They said I should have received a much larger check as well. They had to open a new investigation to trace the check. Again they said I should receive the check in a few weeks. I called back a month later to find out the investigation has been closed. We started the process again. They have opened at least 5 investigations related to this and over a year later I still don't have my refund check. My advice is if at all possible find a different bank for your mortgage.

Furthermore I have never been late on a mortgage payment, have paid off all other mortgages in full. I do not and did not have a heavy debt burden. The debt to asset ratio for the monthly payment is less than ten percent. Was I wrong. Ridiculous the underwriting knit-picky questions, Delayed responses, Eight credit inquiries in thirty days (thanks for taking 100 points off my credit score), Day of close finally discover how much cash is required to close, Close took over two hours because they struggled communicating in order to fund the loan.

So I hang in there for the first year and now as I go to change homeowners insurance providers find that Chase has paid out of escrow my soon to be former insurance provider nearly three weeks before the premium is due. Requiring me to pay my new provider out of pocket while I wait for the check from the old provider. Next Chase business segments do not talk to one another. Had a name change - bank accounts reflect, but not my mortgage. The response from the Chase representative was about the higher standards of reporting that accompanies a mortgage. Besides being a total wreck for about a year after his death, I had to manage to pay bills that required two incomes; using only one income. I got behind one payment... I was sending a little extra to try to catch up my payment. That is when CHASE called ME and offered to assist me with a home modification loan. Of course I felt compelled to do it due to not wanting to lose my home of 15 yrs. Of course, they had NO INTENTION giving me the modification loan to permanently change my payments of $1,362 to $800.00. My history of making my payments have be great until my husband's death. Chase told me for three months I only had to pay $800.00 a month and could make it permanent after 180 days as long as I made the payments on time.

I did make them on time but after the 180 days I was swamped in paperwork that I filled out, refilled and faxed back and forth for 6 months or longer. There was no change in my payment other than when they said being told I have to pay the usual payment of $1,362 but now I am farther behind in my house payments because I had to not only pay the remainder from the original one payment behind but the difference between the $800 of $1,362 for those 180 days! Chase kept sending paperwork and I kept faxing it back to them only changing the dates because every 3 months I had to submit another request for modification because Chase never got around getting that modification permanent.

So since I couldn't catch up the difference in them helping me Chase refused three cashier checks to try to keep me from APPEARING to be 5 payments behind!!! Chase said when you are 5 payments behind, they will not accept any payment. So I have been threatened foreclosure for the past year and a half. My credit looks atrocious because it looks like I just quit paying on my home. I couldn't even get an equity loan because of Chase!!! The only blessing out of this is I was able to do a short sale so foreclosure doesn't show up on my credit, but they are vicious and still leave it as FORECLOSURE as the status. They wouldn't even accept the offer for the house which was $5,000 less than what I owed on the house. Of course that buyer said BYE... Luckily I found another person to do the short sale, so now Chase is squabbling over the HOA and weeds.

Closing has been postponed for 4 months then I get the Chase threatening letters about foreclosure and then they have the audacity to send me LOAN MODIFICATION LETTERS!!! I am telling you the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing... other than taking homes away from hard working people!!!

Some "Programs" are bogus. They do not communicate with each other, yet say they work as a team. Branches are understaffed. The 1800 numbers always give you another 1800 number. The branch representatives rush you out with a 1800 number. They do not research their notes on your file before they contact you. The want you to go to their website and download documents, mind you, with no instruction, then call you a hundred times to tell you it's wrong and you will have to redo.

In addition, if you fax anything to the 1000 numbers they provide you, they always lose the paperwork requiring additional faxes. On top of all of that, prefer to argue with you and try to sway you in a different direction than what the customer actually wants. They were unethical in the housing crash and continue to be unethical with their daily dealings and "gov't regulation" jargon. They have done nothing to help me. And continue to be a thorn in my side. On my way to my house closing, I told my realtor that I didn't care who got the mortgage as long as it wasn't Chase. Chase got my mortgage from day 1 and it has been hell ever since. When I bought my home, I was a first time home buyer and I qualified for down payment assistance and I would not have to pay it back as long as I stayed in the house for 5 years. They added the down payment assistance to my mortgage and I was told that it would be removed after the five years.

After living in the house 2 years, I lost my job and I contacted them to see if we could work something out. The rep said that I could do a short sale or foreclose, I told them that I just needed a little time to find a job. I finally found a minimum wage job after 4 months of applying to over 300 jobs and struggle but manage to make the house payment each month. At the 5-year mark, I called them to remove the down payment assistance and they told me that they couldn't do it. Now an additional 4 years later (where they have raised my monthly payment at least $100 each year), they are still not helping their customers. I use another bank for my checking and savings and use BillPay to pay my monthly payment and an additional principal payment.

I get a phone call from Chase the other day, and they tell me they haven't received a payment since March. I call my other bank and they looked up the 6 transactions and give me the confirmation and trace numbers for the BillPay. Chase had requested paper checks instead of electronic transfers so my bank has been sending paper checks. None of the checks have been cashed so I called Chase back and explained what my bank said. They said they didn't receive the checks so I verified the address and it was right. I told them that $7000+ had been sent to them but not applied to my account. They told me I have until the end of the month to send them the total amount. I stopped payment on the checks so now I have to wait 3 business days to have my money sent back to my account and then I have to take time off of work which means lost income to go to Chase bank. I have been with Chase Bank for my mortgage for many years. First time I purchased, it was sold to Chase Bank. A few years later, I refinanced for lower rate -- Chase bought it again. I have had the current mortgage for 4 years. Home values started to go up again and my current LTV ratio is 78% based on the fact two units have sold in my development for $310K. I called Chase to inquire the qualifiers to having PMI removed. They told me that I would need 20% value. I asked them to send me the paperwork.

When I received the paperwork, it said I needed to include a check for $450 for the appraisal. As a single mom on a fixed income, I called Chase again to inquire as to what the LTV ratio would be and I was told 20%. Because $450 is a lot of money for me, I hesitate and asked my boss what he would do (he's the CFO of our company). He said it was a no-brainer -- that it would pay for itself in 3.5 months. I sent the check in and the appraiser came out and said based on the two comps in the neighborhood, it was looking very good.

He turned around the appraisal to Chase in 3 days. I am still waiting on a reply so I called them yesterday and was informed that I was denied as the ratio is 75/25. I would never have gambled with my money as I KNOW I don't have 25% equity. I called them today and they told me that a small amount of loans do require a different amount from the 20% and that I fell into that small percentage.

I asked why I wasn't informed of this at the start. I based my decision based on the facts, and the facts were incorrect. I told them it wasn't fair that I have to absorb the cost of the appraisal since they gave me erroneous facts. They said "it is what it is." What recourse do I have? I am definitely going to file with the Attorney General's office, and the Consumer Protection/Better Business. Anyone have any recommendations?

My husband was laid off from his job January 2016. We immediately applied for JP Morgan's mortgage assistance program, to prevent foreclosure on our home. We were not behind or delinquent on our loan. The specialist we were assigned, did not participate in our correspondence in a timely fashion at all. We turned in all required documents on time, as per stated on our correspondence. Ultimately, what ended up happening was, due to JP Morgan Chase Bank not fulfilling their end of the requirements, we were sent a letter stating they cancelled our application for assistance due to us not returning required documents by their deadlines. I have written signed proof of everything we sent, through FedEx, and the dates. We did everything required of us, on time.

It took our specialist 2 weeks, to simply call us, to tell us she needed this and that, before she could proceed. We had already sent all required documents. This was an excuse. I am so disgusted with this bank. My husband has worked very hard for our modest home, and with having 4 children to care for, this is not something we should be having to deal with. DISHONESTY!!!

DO NOT USE CHASE MORTGAGE!!! They will give you good rate to attract you. But eventually they will make you a lot of trouble! In short words, what I have experienced: Not replying phone calls or emails + low appraisal value results in paying money for points (if you have a lot down payment, they will try to lower the appraisal value so that the loan amount/value ratio will be high) + 15 days closing delay!!! Do not use Chase! I actually plan to move all my money to another bank.

I secured a VA loan in early 2013. I was shortly transferred to Chase Bank. My husband and I had separated just before the loan was transferred to Chase. I needed documentation from Chase, so that I could access the account online/get statements for tax info. Subsequently, I had to place a call to Chase mortgage. When I called chase, I was able to identify myself through Name Address of the mortgaged property and SSN.

Unfortunately: the associate that answered stated that she would need the zip of my mailing address on file: which she insisted was not the zip I had already provided. Assuming my husband had a different address on file I was unaware of and being that I work in a call center myself: I was understanding. I asked her to take me through identity verification and she replied that they did not have that option in the mortgage department. I then asked her how I would get the paperwork I needed. She told me she didn't know. I asked if I could walk into a local Chase so that I could identify myself with photoID, she again "didn't know."

After that call, I thought I would never be able to access my mortgage records. I could not understand how Chase could deny me the right to access documentation about a loan in my name.

I decided to give it a try again, and when I called in, after a full 45min wait, I was greeted by a gentleman who asked me the same questions: I gave him the very same zip that I had given the first associate. Which was correct: he sent me an email with all of my statements. I found that my first call which with wait times was over an hour long was a complete waste of time. The second associate I talked to did alright: certainly not above and beyond kind of service. He was sufficient but highly scripted.

I work at a call center for a large bank, and if I would have behaved the way their associates had on the phone. I would no longer be employed there. Their wait times are ridiculous, I am not exaggerating it was a full 45min of "your call will be answered shortly" - and it's not even tax season. Chase clearly needs to train their associates more efficiently. They clearly do not care whatsoever about their customer experience. A 45min wait, just to talk to someone, is ridiculous even on a day with the highest of call volume. They obviously are understaffed: and do not care. As I have had high wait times on both calls and misinformation half of the time.

Went to branch today to get info on insurance that would pay it OFF PMI because husband had a stroke and in nursing home. We need a roof over my head. Payment says estate of and sent all documents when mother in law passed. They will not recognize any of them... You cannot talk to anyone that will help us. Don't know what to do next. They are the worst bank to deal with. Please... everyone read this before using Chase.

Just got off the phone with Marcus ** with Chase Mortgage, who explained to me that the online Chase account information does not reflect what they place in your statement. Chase Mortgage has been accruing late charges since 2013. This information is not posted when viewing your online account unless you go view your digital statement. He went on to say he does not understand how the online account works but that Chase sends statements. If you wish to receive your statement electronically, paperless billing as advertised by Chase, you are unable to believe that the amount due posted online. This is the duplicitous way that Chase has chosen to conduct their business.

From my Chase checking account, I set up bill pay since 2006, not once have I been late when posting my payments. This automatic payment is going from Chase to Chase, that is why I set up the account with Chase. Their representative at the branch show me how to set this up when I opened the account. Since 2013 to 2016, late charges have accumulated. I have called the mortgage company from time to time, none of their representative brought these late charges to my attention. To add insult to injury, Marcus told that they can keep late charges on your account until the end of its term. Chase has found a way to deceive and rob their customers.

AFFADAVIT FOR **. February 26, 2016. I, Charmaine ** having been duly sworn depose and state that the following is true to the best of my knowledge. On August 16, 2007 the following transaction took place at Delaware Valley Abstract Company in Mount Laurel, NJ. Plaintiff puts down approximately 16k and signs a paper note instrument for approximately $137 payable to d/b/a Lend America, owned by Ideal Mortgage which the Plaintiff had no knowledge about. Said transaction was insured by FHA with a case number ending **. Plaintiff also executes a mortgage lien in favor of Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. (hereby MERS) as the nominee for Lend America and as the beneficiary under the Security Instrument MERS, a subsidiary of MERSCORP, admits on its website and has been exposed in courts across the USA, as a non-document custodian who has no economical or beneficial interest in promissory notes and mortgages.

There was no power of attorney, duly signed and acknowledged, between Lend America as principle, and MERS as agent, as required by to applicable New Jersey laws, presented to the Plaintiff at closing or recorded. The mortgage recorded in or around August of 2007 and signed by the Plaintiff displays a Mortgage Identification Number (hereby MIN) ending in **. MINs are reference numbers for transferable records which are electronic negotiable instruments governed by NJSA 12A:9-105, and require disclosure, consent, and signature of the obligor the day of closing pursuant to the UETA and ESIGN, which the Plaintiff never received. The MERSCORP/MERS system proclaims to be the legal system of record that registers the owner and controller of eNotes, displaying an eNote number ending in **, not ** as displayed on the original purchase recorded mortgage lien.

The first seven digits of a MIN references the MERSCORP membership ID, the next 10 is the loan number, meaning MERSCORP member Ideal Mortgage possibly created at least two loans with the original purchase transaction. The Plaintiff purchased both a lender and owners title insurance policy, the former in favor of d/b/a Lend America. There were existing defects of record already upon the Plaintiff's title prior to closing, of which includes, suspect assignment instruments, cancellations, and missing assignments for loans pledged to the secondary market. Title abstractor and settlement agent Delaware Valley Abstract (hereby DVA) orchestrated the closing, and was the title insurance agent who issued coverage to d/b/a Lend America, the Plaintiff, underwritten by NJTIC.

DVA then paid off Wells Fargo from the proceeds from the seller for a mortgage instrument for which there is only a suspect assignment to Norwest, a company with its own tax ID number that was acquired by Wells Fargo, and there is no assignment and or transfer of the previous sellers mortgage and note to Wells Fargo. The settlement HUD also displays approximately $30k paid to four attorneys who were not present at the table, and all have address on the same street and or in the same location as d/b/a Lend America, and its parent Ideal Mortgage out of NY. The mortgage servicer from the inception of the original purchase mortgage loan was Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. (hereby WFB).

February March 2008 Discharge of the Original Purchase Mortgage, and Refinance on February 18, 2008 without the Plaintiff's knowledge and or consent. Without the Plaintiff's knowledge and or consent, the MERSCORP/MERS system displays a MIN referencing a refinance transferable record ending ** on February 18, 2008. In February of 2008, shortly after Feb 18, 2008, the Plaintiff received in the mail from Wells Fargo Bank, a letter congratulating her the payoff of the original purchase mortgage loan and notification the lien would be released. The Plaintiff, knowing that she never refinanced the original purchase, disregarded the aforementioned correspondence from WFB.

On April 22, 2008, the criminally convicted and defunct DocX, LLC of Alpharetta, GA recorded a falsely uttered, counterfeit discharge of mortgage instrument alleging that on March 17, 2008, non-document custodian MERS discharged the original purchase mortgage recorded by the Burlington County Clerk on 08/22/2007. Said discharge was requested by WFB, and displays the MIN referencing eNote ending **, not ** which is the ending numbers for the MIN referencing the eNote not registered in the MERSCORP/MERS system, but, inserted into the original purchase lien which was stamped Discharged by the Burlington County Clerk on or around April 22, 2007.

The Plaintiff continued making timely payments to WFB for the month of February, March, April, and May of 2008, unaware of the discharge of the original purchase recoded on April 22, 2007, or the refinance registered in the MERSCORP/MERS system dated February 18, 2008. WFB cashed the aforementioned payments despite the alleged discharge. In or around April of 2008, the Plaintiff received the first ever correspondence from Ideal Mortgage, the creator and controller of d/b/a Lend America, notifying her that servicing would be transferred from Ideal Mortgage who the Plaintiff never paid from the inception of the original purchase of Aug 10, 2007, to JP Morgan Chase (hereby Chase). With the payment due June 2008, the Plaintiff begin paying Chase, unaware of the aforementioned events.

Shortly thereafter, the Plaintiff noticed the statements sent from Chase showed a balance of approximately 152k, and didn't reflect the 16k she gave as a down payment towards the original purchase of August 10, 2007. Chase response to the aforementioned discrepancy was a shortage in escrow. In good faith, the Plaintiff trusted Chase and continued making payments unaware of the aforementioned discrepancies.

FHA and Ginnie Mae shut down Ideal Mortgage for mortgage fraud. By the fall of 2009, Ideal Mortgage was out of business, its principal was sued for mortgage fraud, and both FHA and Ginnie Mae cut ties with the originator for issuing fraudulent mortgages endorsed by FHA, and sold to Ginnie Mae guaranteed trust.

Ideal Mortgage was also issued Cease and Desist orders from different state authorities, including the State of New Jersey for mortgage fraud. Ideal Mortgages warehouse lines of credit were closed.

2011 2013. The Plaintiff, still paying on time, but experiencing financial difficulties, acted in good faith in her attempt to secure from Chase a modification, still unaware of the aforementioned discrepancies. Chase did not oblige, and no modification was granted. Unknowingly to the Plaintiff, on February 17, 2012, Chase caused a falsely uttered Assignment of Mortgage instrument to be recorded with the Burl. County Clerk dated 01/24/2012, alleging that non-document custodian MERS acted as nominee for d/b/a Lend America whose owner Ideal Mortgage was defunct as of the fall of 2009, without presenting a duly signed and acknowledged power of attorney pursuant to NJ laws, assigned to Chase the original purchase mortgage to ending with MIN **, the transferable record which is not referenced in the MERSCORP/ MERS system but inserted into the original purchase mortgage lien discharged by WFB and DocX as of March 17, 2008.

Said instrument was prepared by E. **, an employee of Nationwide Title Clearing out of Florida, and is currently party to a consent order issued by the State of Illinois who prohibited further creation of counterfeit mortgage related instruments. The person impersonating an officer of MERS is employed by Chase, the falsely declared assignor, as is the Louisiana notary. Said instrument also displays the MIN ending ** which is not visible in the MERS system, only MIN ending ** dated 08/10/2007 and the unlawfully converted refinance ending in ** dated 02/18/2008. Said instrument makes no mention of a transfer of the original purchase note instrument.

On October 23, 2012, the NJ Home Keepers Program recorded a second lien upon the title for the Plaintiff's property in return for paying approximately $47k to Chase on the Plaintiff's behalf. The $152k balance declared owned by Chase never decreased upon Chase's receipt of the monies from the NJ Home Keepers Program. Chase has sent me a mortgage payoff in the amount of 161,000.

Late Summer Fall of 2014. In the late summer of 2014, the Plaintiff was introduced by her fiance to his childhood friend, and arguably one of the best forensic and securitization examiners in the residential mortgage industry, who uncovered the discharge of the original purchase mortgage of 2007 by way of a counterfeit DocX, LLC discharge, along with a refinance dated 02/18/2008, referenced in the MERSCORP/MERS system ending in **, and the counterfeit assignment instrument dated 01/24/2012 referencing the MIN ending ** for the original mortgage instrument discharged by DocX and WFB.

    On October 6, 2014, Chase faxed to Charmaine ** forensic examiner a serious of counterfeit documents including; An image of the original purchase mortgage displaying the whiting out of the discharge stamp affixed by the Burlington County Clerk; A forged and unrecorded modification instrument dated in 2011 displaying the unlawful forging of the Plaintiff's signature, referencing the unlawfully converted and unrecorded 02/18/2008 refinance, and Chase never gave the Plaintiff a modification; A forged and counterfeit paper note instrument dated 02/18/2008, displaying MIN ending **, referencing an FHA Case No. ending **, designating d/b/a Lend America as the lender, displaying the unlawful forging of the Plaintiff's signatures, and a stamp on page 2 of 2 presented as an endorsement in blank that is undated, and alleges a transfer by d/b/a Lend America by its alleged officer, Gwen **;

    A forged and counterfeit HUD-1 displaying a settlement date of 02/18/2008, a refinance amount of approximately $137k, a settlement in NY which the Plaintiff never attended, and the forging of the Plaintiff's signature; Said fax also displays cover pages from NTC, and makes reference of Ginnie Mae; Said fax did not include a mortgage lien to accompany the unlawfully created, counterfeit paper note instrument dated 02/18/2008; Shortly thereafter, the Plaintiff forwarded both Chase and WFB QWRs and Debt Validation letters, and received in return from the defendants; Chase sent the same documents set forth above, along with; an altered version of the unlawfully converted, forged, unrecorded modification instrument; an unrecorded mortgage lien dated 02/18/2008, designating d/b/a Lend America as the lender, MERS as the nominee and beneficiary and or mortgagee under the instrument, MIN ending **, and the forging of the Plaintiff's name;

And a title insurance policy from Stewart Guarantee Company whom the Plaintiff contacted and the carrier declared the closing agent for the 02/18/2008 transaction, EAM, is not affiliated with Stewart; I, Charmaine ** spoke to supervisor at the Insurance Company and was told by the Insurance Company that they had no knowledge of EAM Land Service and he doesn't make enough money to get involved with this. I, Charmaine ** has an insurance policy issued by EAM Land Service in New York on behalf of JP Chase and Ideal Mortgage bankers d/b/a Lend America.

Wells Fargo sent; An altered version of the original purchase mortgage displaying the whiting out of the discharge stamp by the clerk; An alleged true copy of the original purchase note displaying on the last page a stamp presented as an endorsement in blank that is undated, and alleges a transfer by d/b/a Lend America by its alleged officer, Gwen **, the same imposter appearing upon the unlawfully converted refinance note dated 02/18/2008 forwarded from Chase; On or around September of 2014 I, Charmaine ** sent a QWR, Qualifying Written Request to JP Chase and Wells Fargo requesting information about my loan. Wells Fargo and JP Chase has not issues a qualifying written request information as of this date, February 26, 2016.

On or around September of 2014 I contacted JP Chase and spoke with their investigation department to inform them that I didn't refinance my mortgage and that my signature upon the paperwork they sent me with my signature has been forged. They informed me that they would investigate this matter and get back to me. I have not heard from them as of this date in regards to this forged signature on a refinance of my property. JP Chase has ignored all my request as of September 2014 in regards to the fraudulent signature of the refinance on my property. JP CHASE continues to send mortgage statements to my home in regards to amount due and I never refinanced my property with Ideal Mortgage d/b/a Lend America or JP Chase. This has caused immense stress in my life as I could lose my home to a fraudulent transaction. I have searched my credit report and there is no record of my loan with JP Chase provided since April of 2008.

On or around November 2014 a lawsuit was filed in New Jersey Burlington County Superior Court on my behalf against JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Lend America, EAM land Service, New Jersey Title Insurance Company, MERS Corp, Black Knight Financial and New Jersey Homekeepers program to get resolution of my fraudulent mortgage transactions. My lawsuit has been dismissed without prejudice due to having incompetent representation twice in the state of New Jersey and I am still seeking resolution of my mortgage loan.

I have spoken with Chase filed criminal complaint, went to New Jersey Attorney General's Office and also filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Bureau which forward it to Office of Comptroller. I have not gotten a response as of yet about what is going to be done about the forging of my name on a refinance mortgage. This has caused me a great deal of stress and it has been two years since I found out what happened and I am looking forward to the day this is resolved.

When I got the appraisal back, I saw that the appraiser had used homes back to nine months ago for the comps! The final amount also came in under the tax value. So, Chase said because I only have a 78% loan to value ratio they would not remove the PMI. That means I have over 21% equity in my home! When I purchased I was told once you have over 20% equity you can have the PMI removed. Now, Chase says, sorry, it's 25%! So, they won't remove the PMI.

JPM/Chase Rate should be five stars BELOW the first star. The headlines read: "JPM/Chase Mostly a Criminal Enterprise" JPM/Chase Executives and Board of Directors in New York need to be more thoroughly investigated. The "Executive Offices" as they are called at 3415 Vision Drive, Columbus, Ohio needs a "house cleaning" as this office has falsified and fabricated my mortgage payments for 22 years, stating I made "less than the required amount" therefore they could NOT apply my payments to the Mortgage Balance which is a LIE. I showed proof through my original documents, mortgage statements, bank statements, cancelled checks, etc., of this criminal act. I paid MORE than the Mortgage Statement, as every month I paid EXTRA Principal, both WaMu and JPM/Chase ADDED this extra principal to my balance, PLUS the added Interest also.

Many of my checks were put in "other columns" checks were NOT documented with the full payment and marked NSF, even after showing proof with the cancelled check, checks were not applied. I always sent checks in the middle of the month and frequently sent two checks to pay ahead. These checks were held and NOT applied and in some cases ONLY one check was documented. I had an Escrow Waiver for both Property Taxes and Home Owners Insurance, but both WaMu and JPM/Chase Violated the Waiver and had Corelogic pay the taxes. My City Treasurer sent checks back as I was NOT delinquent in my taxes.

The County Treasurer also sent checks back UNcashed because my taxes were paid. WaMu and JPM/Chase would not credit my accounts with the returned checks, instead took my Mortgage Payment Checks and put them in the Escrow Account and NSF in the payment column and the Interest keeps being added. Every contact I have made with the Columbus, Ohio Office and ask them if they reviewed my ONE INCH thick envelope of documents that I sent in December 2014 to refute their falsification of my payments, they all respond with "NO" - they had NOT viewed them, but were just listening to their "co-workers" story about my account. Since I sent proof of JPM/Chase employees altering my payments from 1992 through 2013 the MONTHLY copies I had been receiving during 2014 stopped. I guess the TRUTH staring them in the face was a SHOCK!!!

All communication STOPPED, NO ONE would talk to me, no matter how much evidence I sent to numerous offices, all I received were a constant weekly letter giving a date when JPM/Chase would have an answer. I still have NO answers as to why they falsified my payment record and continued to add interest daily. I contacted the FBI Mortgage Fraud, Consumers Financial Protection Bureau, US and MI Senators and Representatives, US DOJ, US AG, NY AG, MI AG, OH AG where the Falsified Records came from, MERS as when JPM/Chase started servicing our mortgage in October 2008 - they NEVER had the MERS despite my complaints until April 2014.

I contacted Fannie Mae, as JPM/Chase stated they were the Mortgage holders. Fannie Mae constantly and consistently DENIED holding the Mortgage by letter and email and phone. May 2007, I sent an extra $1,000 Principal Payment, it was ADDED to my balance, plus interest all these years. Frequently I added an extra $100 check along with the extra payment in my Mortgage Statement - these payments never appeared in the payment column, nor deducted from the balance. JPM/Chase has PAID over $20 BILLION Dollars in fines for their criminal actions by US Agencies, Government, EU Government, Companies, etc. whom they have cheated.

JPM/Chase has paid over ONE Billion Dollars in Legal Fees. The Michigan Supreme Court Ruled in December 2012 that $3.75 BILLION Dollars of JPM/Chase Foreclosures were Voidable since they were done by "robo signers" and illegal signatures. Schneiderman & Sherman, Farmington Hills, MI where the Foreclosure Attorneys hired by JPM/Chase. The Foreclosure was in our weekly paper the exact same day that an employee of JPM/Chase told me that there was NO Foreclosure planned. The Foreclosure Attorneys REFUSED to give us the amount to pay to STOP the Foreclosure and Sale of our home and property. It took us THREE weeks to get an amount, so that the Law Firm could keep raising the costs.

I went to DHS and VA for help since I am very ill and unable to work. The VA immediately contacted S&S via email confirming that both DHS and the VA would pay the back payments and all the foreclosure costs. JPM/Chase brought in a "negotiating" Law Firm. Dykema Law Firm, now the largest Law Firm in Michigan. Since we were having so much trouble with S&S getting the amount and the constant increase of costs, Dykema Law Firm stated they would put a "FREEZE" on the amount owed, since the DHS and VA assured payment. The Freeze NEVER happened and Schneiderman and Sherman continued to add more charges.

The VA increase the amount three times to accommodate these increases. We were then told that the amount paid by DHS and the VA did NOT cover the costs. I told BOTH Law Firms that if there were any more increases that we would pay them. BOTH Law Firms REFUSED to give us the amount, stating they were "negotiating" with JPM/Chase to pay the rest of the increased added costs as NO freeze was put on the assured payment by two Government Agencies. Dykema Law Firm sent us a Contract/Agreement to sign.

We REFUSED as it was full of Lies that they wanted us to agree to. We signed absolutely NOTHING and did NOT agree to anything that Dykema Law Firm tried to force us to sign to cover up all the ILLEGAL Falsification and Fabrication of everything JPM/Chase and WaMu had done to our Mortgage. It was also an ILLEGAL Foreclosure as all the money we paid, plus all the added illegal interest applied and all the payments that did not get applied, the balance of the mortgage was ZERO, plus JPM/Chase OWED us money!!!

Months after the VA and DHS assured and paid the back payments and foreclosure costs in September and October 2014, I received my April 2015 Mortgage Statement. All the Foreclosure costs, the back payments, Corporate Costs, Broker Fee Costs and numerous other costs were added to the mortgage balance. Approximately $13,000 added costs were in the Statement, plus the balance of the Mortgage. The Foreclosure Attorneys, Schneiderman & Sherman NEVER applied the VA and DHS checks to the Mortgage to take us out of Foreclosure. The Foreclosure listed for our home to sell by the County Sheriff stayed on the County Public Bulletin Board until November 7, 2014.

The VA and DHS checks were instead they transferred the money to Dykema Law Firms Accounts and NEVER applied. June and December 2015, JPM/Chase hired Nations Valuation Services and ProTeck Valuation Services to do a Broker's Price Opinion on our property. I received the documents in January 2016. Summer 2015 and Winter 2015 Property Taxes were paid by JPM/Chase through Corelogic Tax Service. My Property Taxes were NOT delinquent. I've been in contact with Corelogic and both the Valuation Service Companies asking them if they knew they were in Violation of our Rights by what they were doing to our property???

March 22, 2016, I received three (3) envelopes, each costing $6.95 per envelope with the exact same falsified documentation and propaganda that JPM/Chase continues to spew out regarding our mortgage, despite the fact that we have repeatedly sent them the ORIGINAL Documents showing PROOF of their LIES, Fraud, Corruption, Falsification and Fabrication of payments, violating my Escrow Account by paying the property taxes, stating they were delinquent when they were NOT. JPM/Chase Executive Offices in Columbus, Ohio, nor the numerous other JPM/Chase Office across the US have NO Data Base as I would receive different information from the different US JPM/Chase Banks in different states.

Lee Raymond Chairman of the Board at JPM/Chase has been on the Board for 28 years throughout all the criminal actions that JPM/Chase/Jamie Dimon, CEO have been found guilty of and paid over $20 Billion in fines. Lee Raymond it should be noted was also at Exxonmobil from 1963-2005, during that time frame, Raymond was the most outspoken US Executive against Climate Change. Look now at the investigations being conducted against E-M and all the documents showing proof of fraudulent reports during Raymond's apparent time at ExxonMobil. Another JPM/Chase Board of Director William Weldon, was the CEO at Johnson & Johnson when the Toxic Products were being manufactured and now people are dying of cancer with multiple lawsuits against Johnson and Johnson.

Weldon was "let go/fired???" from J&J and where else does Weldon have a spot on the Board of Directors??? On Lee Raymond's former company Exxon-Mobil. When Raymond left Exxon-Mobil he left with the largest Retirement Parachute in history. When Board of Director Members go from one corrupt company to another, HOW are we the VICTIMS to get any form of justice??? Then take a look at Jamie Dimon, CEO and everything he did to generate the $20 Billion Dollars in fines.

Since 2008 with the collapse of the Mortgage Industry and Wall Street and MILLIONS of innocent victims were at the Mercy of GREED and POWER and despite the fines paid by numerous guilty companies, NOTHING has changed. Reading the numerous letters of the people filing complaints, JPM/Chase goes right on cheating their customers. 2015 headlines read that employees at JPM/Chase embezzled millions of dollars from customer accounts. It NEVER ends. With JPM/Chase ~~~ WHERE and WHEN do "We the People" who pay our payments on time and honestly get some justice???

We are the VICTIMS of a Corrupt and Criminal banking system of JPM/Chase. Look up JPM/Chase Rap Sheet of criminal acts, all listed on the Internet. WHERE is the Securities and Exchange Commission who investigates companies who sell stocks??? They should be investigating HOW JPM/Chase manipulates payments to enhance their Profit Margin. WHERE is the Office of Comptroller of the Currency who are suppose to oversee how Banks do business??? WHERE is the US AG and all the other Agencies who have been started to help "We, the Victims" of Mortgage Fraud and WHY are all these Agencies OVERLOOKING and IGNORING the fact that NOTHING has changed.

Hands were slapped, fines paid and it was back to doing illegal business to their customers as before. Since 2003 when WaMu took over our mortgage and since 2008 when WaMu went bankrupt and JPM/Chase took over WaMu's servicing of the mortgages I have been in a battle for HONESTY and JUSTICE for the money I paid on my mortgage and all the extra principal and all the illegal paying of my property taxes and lying that I was delinquent when I was not. Why paying my property taxes in 2015??? Why sending companies here to do a Broker's Price Opinion in 2016???

I met with a bank rep that put me on the phone with a mortgage specialist. He found the info I applied online with. We went as far as him giving me rate and term on a 15 year loan. My Income, credit, LTV all well in line. Quoted a rate of 3.5% plus closing cost and so on. I asked if that was the best rate I qualified for because I've seen lower. He said if I shopped around and found a lower rate he would match it. I said I have accounts with Bank of America and Wells Fargo. My question was if I found a lower rate why would I come back to Chase. He said that's the way they do business. The CFPB should look into that.

Anyway sure enough Bank of America beat the rate by 50 BPS 3% so I went with them. I looked at my credit report and saw that the "CHASE" ran my credit several times!! I think the guy did it out of spite!! Beware consumers!! Not happy with the vindictive profiling by Chase. I am Hispanic by the way. Not that you could tell by appearance, just by name of course. He couldn't tell over the phone.

Due to the crash in the economy I was forced to do a loan modification, I was unaware that it would increase my mortgage loan amount up by $11,000.00. My original loan amount was $105,000.00. At the time of the modification it was $101,000.00, Chase bank attached $11,000.00 onto my mortgage increasing my mortgage to $112,000.00. I would like the Chase research team to investigate and please explain to me why I now owe $108,000.00 after I have been paying on an original mortgage loan of $105,000.00 for more than fourteen years on a thirty year fixed mortgage.

I would like for the research department to please explain why my loan amount has not gone down but $4,000 in the past four years after the modification, that is a $1,000.00 a year toward my principal. Please explain why my mortgage loan amount became $112,000,00 for doing a loan modification, please explain why did Obama allow the banks to rip people off like this. Please someone explain this.

When asked about putting the payments at the end of the mortgage and renting it out we were told we couldn't do that and the lock box was there to keep squatters out. We have filled out papers for harp every month for the past 4.5 yrs while we are still being charged fee after fee, interest upon interest while they hold the keys. They won’t even accept a deed in lieu?

She kept misapplying my payments and caused me to have late charges. I finally got her supervisor and was able to opt out of the program after 7 attempts. Now 3 years later and never being late I get notices almost every 3 months accusing me of needing assistance and even if being in bankruptcy!! None of this is true. My acct is up-to-date and I have now had to opt out of this alleged program 18 times!! Absolutely ridiculous and no one there can explain to me why this keeps happening.

Even a one star rating for Chase is too much! They deserve a minus one star! I want to say, however, that the employees in my Chase Branch are wonderful people. They are very friendly and so nice, and do everything they can to help. They are not responsible for the unjust, cruel and abusive actions taken by the Chase executives. I took out a mortgage with Chase in July 2003. As I was a single mother raising two children on my own, without any help from my ex-husband, I told them that I would be paying my property taxes and my home insurance separately. I wanted to make sure that no matter how difficult things were for us that I would not have any trouble paying my mortgage. They said it was fine. All these years I never had a problem and never missed a mortgage payment.

In fact when I was working... I was working at a law firm in New York City for 20 years when our economy crashed, and most of the staff were laid off... I would make an extra payment on my mortgage to reduce my principal. I worked two shifts at our law firm for years and one day on the weekend to make sure we would be all right and I would be able to put food on the table and take care of my children, and pay the bills... And of course, one of the main concerns was to make sure our home was safe. Thank God our law firm is open 24 hours a day and there was always a lot of overtime. However, in 2014 I got the shock of my life. I received notice in February 2014 that Chase went behind my back and paid my property taxes and they informed me that my monthly mortgage payment of $647.77 was going to change to $2 119.99 a month starting May 1, 2014! I was so shocked I could not believe it!

I went to my branch and spoke to an officer and showed him the letter and he called the Mortgage Department and asked them what was going on. The person from the Mortgage Department told him that Chase received a call from the Town of Huntington telling them that I was delinquent on my property taxes! The Branch Officer told me when he got off the phone that we had to work quickly. I told him I was going to speak to the Receiver of Taxes, and the County Treasurer's Office to find out what was going on. I drove 30 miles to the County Treasurer's Office the next day and was told "Absolutely Not! That was False!" They told me that they do not know which bank a homeowner has their mortgage with, and they have never, ever, called a homeowner's bank! The Receiver of Taxes said the same thing.

In fact the Receiver of Taxes, herself, told me that the Town knows that Chase, and other banks, DELIBERATELY cause trouble, to force their customers to escrow their property taxes so they can charge them a lot more money! CHASE BLATANTLY LIED! I guess they never thought I would check up on them! I also contacted my former boss right away and told him what Chase had done. He was a Litigation lawyer at our law firm, and was laid off a week before I was. He was so shocked and said he would do everything he could to help me. He wrote them and called them for five months before he got Chase to stop escrowing my taxes. He requested that they add the money they paid the Town, without my permission, to the end of my mortgage and keep my mortgage the same and they refused. Instead, they spread the money over five years and raised my mortgage to $805.85.

Just before July 4, 2014 I received a letter from Chase saying they were stopping the escrow, but that they would be watching me. In the meantime throughout the whole five months I was receiving letters from different locations of Chase saying I would lose my home if I did not pay them the higher monthly payment they were demanding. These letters were coming from different states and seemed totally disconnected... as though the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing!!! In 2015 I did not have a problem with them so I thought, thank God! However, when I went to the County Treasurer's Office January 29, 2016 to make a payment on my taxes, I was informed by them that my taxes were all paid, and I did not owe anything! I could not believe that Chase did it again! When I explained to the person helping me what Chase had done in 2014... and now again... they were very upset and told me to fight Chase!

They are not backing down, and are now forcing me to pay more than double what I was paying before... $1,716.63 as of May 1, 2016!!! They are ruthless, cruel and abusive and must be stopped! Everyone who has been hurt and abused by Chase has to do something to stop them. If we all join together and take action something will have to be done. They have to realize that they cannot continue their cruel, unjust, abusive actions toward their customers and get away with it. They have to be held accountable, and they have to reimburse us for all the pain and suffering they have and are causing us. If we do not do something to stop them, and the other banks who are doing terrible things to their customers, because they do not care, and because they think they are too big to fail, they will continue doing what they are doing and making more people homeless. We cannot allow this!

Before their first attack against me in February 2014, I was in my Branch one day and I asked one of the Branch Officers what would my monthly payment be if I escrowed my property taxes. He did a calculation and then told me that it would be approximately $1,700.00. And then he told me in confidence "Do Not Do It!!! Because if you cannot maintain the increased monthly amount, CHASE WILL FORECLOSE YOUR HOME!!!" This is what a Branch Officer in my Chase Branch told me!!! Another female Branch Officer told me after the first Chase attack that she did not escrow her property taxes!

I want to quote a paragraph I read in ChaseChase.org - "Banks are scooping up homes at a rate unprecedented in human history. Not even Genghis Khan or Adolf Hitler succeeded in driving people out of their homes at the rate of a million households per year, dislocating millions of people. The 21st century wars are economic! Over 2,076,764 American homes are now in foreclosure! That is 5.4 million people!" After our economy crashed in 2008 with 23 million Americans out of work, Chase paid its executives $29 billion in bonuses for 2009. The highest ever paid by the bank, and an increase of 28% from the previous year, when 1,626 JPMorgan bankers took home bonuses of more than $1 million each! The Bank also received $25 billion from the US Treasury's Troubled Assets Relief Programme (TARP).

And... don't let them persuade you to apply for a loan modification... which they also suggested to me... because many who have applied for a loan modification, while waiting for it to be finalized, found out to their horror, that instead of doing the loan modification they had promised their customers, Chase instead foreclosed their homes!!! We cannot let this continue another minute longer, because it will only get worse! We have to all join together to fight this evil that is destroying our peace, security and happiness, and before anyone else is made homeless! Please count me in... but we have to take action quickly!

My husband whose name is on the mortgage passed in Feb 2016. I am the trustee of the estate. Chase has made it impossible for me to communicate with them regarding the mortgage even when I tried to explain to them I have my house up for sale and want to make everything right after the sale.

I have sent in numerous papers showing my name as the estate owner (as joint tenants, the estate passed on to me) and they keep asking for more and more proof! Even after I showed proof my estate is up for sale so we can pay off Chase mortgage, Chase allowed Trustee Corps to put a "foreclosure" notice under my listing on Zillow. That in itself is an act which has the potential of sabotaging my sale as the "vultures" seeing the foreclosure notice will WAIT to act. And other potential buyers could be a little leery of such a listing property! Chase has done everything it can to hurt me, rather than help me trying to get things made right between us and Chase. It took them months to decide. We had too much debt and not enough income so we were turned down. I got a second job and we reduced our debt and reapplied. After months and months, we were denied again.

This time they said our finances were such that we should be able to make the payments but first we had to pay the amount in the arrears, which is $12,000. We were told not to make payments while the modification was pending and it took them so long that now we are so far behind. We asked if we could just refinance or put those payments to the end of the loan and they said no. Now we are in danger of losing our house. No one wants to lend us $12,000 to pay back mortgage payments. I may soon be 60 and have no place to live. By the way I did not originally finance with Chase, our mortgage company sold our mortgage to them.

I am at a standstill in my journey of trying to save my house. I don't know where to go or do next. I'm going to tell you of what I've been and am going thru. I firmly believe that this government of ours does not help disabled people. There is always some strange stupid disqualification. You be the judge. In 2010, after 35 years in retail management, I became disabled. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and some days it is impossible to put my feet on the ground. At 18, I was a store manager for Toys "R" Us. The cause of this is wear and tear, and if you know me, I work my feet off.

In 2000, I had the privilege of owning a home, and I did it all by myself. My home is everything to me. So in 2013, I tried for a modification on my mortgage. Now I made 24000 a year. At first, Chase would not help me because I was current on my loan. I had to be behind to qualify for anything. It took forever, and I kept getting further and further behind. The end result was I only qualified for one mod. If I was unemployed, had drywall problems... the list goes on and on. I would get a mod but not if I'm disabled. They were going to foreclose so I signed it. Then they sent my mortgage to Seterus Bank.

In 2013, it just kept getting worse. You can't stretch what ain't there. I tried again for a mod. Got turned down by all but Fannie Mae. My income to mortgage percent was not adequate. Now, all I needed was it to be lower by 200 in which to live. Poorly but it's doable. Seterus bank ended up upping my mortgage by 150. So at 1250, I was eating out of a dumpster, at 1350, I don't eat. I get 15 dollars in food stamps because I make too much money.

I looked back at my Chase statements and noticed they added 28000 to my principal. How did I miss this? I was scared of losing my house. Last week, I reported it to the OCC and BBB. I got no answers from Chase after 3 days and 9 hrs on the phone. Here I sit waiting for them to tell me why they charged me 28000 for a modification and charged me 10000 in Corp adv fees. Yesterday, they sent me a letter stating why I was turned down for a modification, but I wasnt. No one will answer. My cable and electric are going to be shutoff. All I needed them to do was lower my mortgage by 200 and I could do it.

I applied over the internet and waited an entire week before someone contacted me. He took the application over the phone and went over all the costs. I was OK with everything up to that point. What he didn't tell me was that the whole application would be terminated in 7 days if all the paperwork was not received by then.

A package came in the mail a few days later, very well organized with all the forms to be signed and faxed back. We were also sent an email with a link to the part of the application that could be done with electronic signatures, which we completed immediately. We had to go out of state for a wedding the next day and thought we would look over the 40-page package and fax it back when we returned. The day we got back, and after I spent $40 faxing 30-some pages, I got an email from the mortgage guy saying "unfortunately your rate has expired and we aren't going to get a Pre-Op pass. At this point you must wait 60 days from today to complete another application or you will have to pay a re-lock fee." He didn't say what the fee was. I was furious to say the least. I could not believe Chase did not want our business.

When I called him back he said the rate is good for 7 days only! Whoever heard of such a thing! Even though the application stated the rate was good for 60 days! I've been a Chase customer for over 10 years, checking, savings, and 2 mortgages. I called him and he said that the rate is locked only for 7 days because "it costs Chase money to lock in a rate for longer than that". I would like to know, what money? April 2014 - Dec. 2014 my monthly mortgage payment increased $700 to cover back pay/corrected new payment. With this unexpected increase I had few options, I paid what I could until October 2014 then I applied for a modification (lots of misinformation). I've requested previous calls/notes be reviewed - wrong information delays the process. Also, late fees, interest penalty, credit reporting. The process and lack of communication was hell! But what I don't understand is that based on my income, if the bank wouldn't qualify for a mortgage at that monthly payment!!!

After almost two years, they catch their error and expect me to come up with the cash with little notice and in a short time frame. I was willing to pay, but Chase was not willing to work with me. August 2015 sent completed documents to Modification Specialist (Denise)...left messages/spoke with others in call center, no one able to provide status. October 2015 received a call from my new specialist, who informed me that Denise quit two months ago. From August 2015 to October 2015 my loan went to foreclosure status. The reason given "your account shows that Chase was unable to make connect with you". So I had to resubmit the modification request.

I contacted the main office and was told I was 7 months past due. I knew I was not. I demanded they allow me to pay my bill and for 1.5 months got the runaround, being told they would email me the amount in 4 days, then 7 days, then that they had to mail it to me in 4 days, then 7 days. They would tell they were attempting to collect a debt whenever I called (30 times) and I would interrupt them and tell them they were not attempting to collect a debt as I had money and wanted to pay and they would not allow me to.

I finally got some results after I complained to the Better Business Bureau. The bank finally gave me the payoff and I paid it the next day. I then received 5 letters from Chase explaining why I was delayed, then 5 from their attorney stating the same, then I received a bill for my first payment. It is April 2016. So I was only 3 months behind. Chase filed foreclosure in January based on me being 7 months behind but the 7 months included January up to April. That is why they would not allow me to pay. They wanted to force me into foreclosure or refinancing. I only have 8 more years left on my mortgage so they are not getting interest anymore, only principle. You’d better sit down for this one! I worked hard in the San Diego California work force for 54 years and then cared for my aging father in the house I helped him build. He & my mom purchased the land in 1974 so we are talking about a 40 year family home. In 2004 I purchased the home & property from his estate and this was the proudest moment of my life! The home was old and in very bad shape and as a Licensed Contractor, I began to work on the home each day and every weekend beginning with interior remodel and repairing things like broken water lines and actually had to redesign and re-locate the entire booster pump water supply system to a 50 foot lower elevation.

This was no small task as the property was on a steep hillside and working alone, I stood the chance of losing my grip on the holding tank which would have tumbled down the hill forever lost! In short, I spent a large amount of my hard earned money & 10 years of my life doing things like “new construction install” for picture windows, new ceilings and flooring etc.

Then, in 2010 I was diagnosed with COPD and Complex Sleep Apnea. In 2012 heart attack and severe allergies that no doctor could deal with though they tried! In 2013 at the relatively young age of 65 I could no longer continue to work. I’ll admit I made some mistakes on some of the mortgages I had over the years but the one that killed me was with Chase Bank! Looking back, my most serious shortcoming was not getting an outside analysis of the paperwork when refinancing. I trusted them!

In 2014 Chase closed in on me like an ambushed stage coach in the Wild West! They were close to impossible to reach by phone and rude and aggressive when I did talk to them. Even when I explained on multiple occasions that this was a 40 year family home, they proceeded in a robotic emotion free manner until I was faced with foreclosure or short sale. I chose short sale and the effect on my mind and body has been near catastrophic. Today, I am a full time RVer! Quite frankly my modest pensions are simply not enough to even cover rent in the city of San Diego where I have lived all my life. I was driven out of the city I loved by an economic system I supported all my life!

My health issues are not going away and lingering emotional issues are something I have had to learn to deal with 24 hours a day! I had no idea a man could be so attached to a house like this! I use what amounts to thought control to get through the days and looking back it seems that Chase Bank could have easily helped me stay in my home but instead they chose to sell it to a stranger for ONE HALF of what I owed!

Me and my wife had one of the worst experience on applying for HELOC. We have been one of their customer since the WAMU days in 2003 and then eventually CHASE once they got merged. We have credit cards with them and checking/saving account. We both have good credit history and own a home with our loan coming from another financial institution. We were turned down on the loan because we do not have GREEN CARD. We are in the process of getting which may take 5 years-10 years depending on the act of CONGRESS. We have been punished for it and denied loan even after proving that all the documents and credits being good. If we were flight risk we would not be owning home, cars and credit cards.

When banks give out toxic loan we bail them out but when people who qualify are denied loans based on some underwriter making a call without understanding the intention of the customer, I guess it is time to say good bye to this financial institution with whom we have been loyal for 15 years. This is how the loyalty is paid in return. Please do not waste your time applying for loans with this financial institution.

We proudly purchased our first beautiful home in Dec of 2008. What a major accomplishment and as a family we're very proud and happy to have made such an accomplishment. I paid on time for a little over a year and the market crashed. Being self employed this was a devastating and major blow for our family because business was very slow. Not knowing that we had options, my home was facing foreclosure and we later found out about a modification. However, we have been from the last 5 years sending in ALL the necessary documentations to only keep being notified that they didn't receive or we needed to resend the information. This was an exhausting and frustrating process and all we wanted to to do was lower our payments to remain in our home.

We were told that we did not qualify only to re apply, so we would reapply and they would tell us again to resend or they didn't receive the paperwork. (Our thoughts are you kidding me??) I became so frustrated, tired, and outdone with the whole process and decided to allow my accountant to take over, and they did only to keep getting the same outcome. Now as of this month our home have been foreclosed on and my family and I are being forced to vacate and we will have to separate as a family.

How emotionally unstable for the children who are still in school and now have to uproot their residence to the unknown?? I feel that our rights as citizens have been terribly violated and have caused mental, physical and emotional stress for not only myself but my wife and children also. Having to give up the only home that they could feel proud and safe in. I want the board of directors and investors to know how Chase mortgage is handling business and the amount of money they are losing because people are not doing their jobs and how much they are hurting innocent people who have tried to do what is right to no avail or satisfaction. Is there ANYTHING that we can lawfully do at this point?

We have had business and personal accounts at Chase for years, so when we went shopping for loans for a new home we went to Chase. We were assured that the loan application would go smoothly and that we qualified for the loan amount requested. However, a couple of weeks into the process, when Chase asked for more and more invasive and irrelevant information, it became clear that the loan officers and the underwriting department had neither the background nor the intelligence to understand IRA income, small business distributions (K-1 income) or pass-through entities. What a bunch of fools.

We quickly applied to SunTrust, a professional organization, which saved the day, made a commitment we could rely upon and closed the loan on time in three weeks from the date of our application. And, to cap it off, Chase approved the loan, at an amount hundreds of thousands less than we asked for and SunTrust approved, a month following our closing. Better yet, the Chase "approval" had more than 20 conditions that made it worthless. It was shocking to see that a large financial institution like Chase was staffed by rookies dealing with its significant business customers. We are moving our accounts from Chase to SunTrust, of course.

Her ex was allowed by Chase to take out a second mortgage on that same home for several 100k using only his notarized signature and a copy of the divorces final judgement. She is now held responsible for this loan after never consenting to its creation. Her ex has several late payments and we even think has received a loan modification on the principal and/or second causing costly credit damage. How is this legal?

We applied when the HARP loan became available with our current mortgage company, Chase Mortgage through a local branch. We paid an application fee which we were told it would be returned. The loan never came to fruition and we could never obtain a clear cut answer why nor did we receive our application fee back.

So here we are 2 years later, we had been receiving on a bi-weekly basis delivery from UPS, letters from Chase to refinance our current loan and that we qualified for HARP. We have paid our loan down substantially and against our better judgement we decided to call them and discuss the option for the HARP loan whereas the decrease in our rate was around 2%. The loan officer convinced us that it was easy to do and no money out of pocket for us. We have never missed a payment and in fact paid one additional payment every year. We decided to do it. The rate was locked in until December 20, 2015. We received all the paperwork and signed and sent it back the next day. As we approached the December 20th day the loan officer stated that they were still waiting on the sign off from our 2nd mortgagee.

I called the 2nd mortgagee and they advised that they hadn't received anything. They gave me the email and fax number Chase could send the paperwork to and they would kindly expedite for us. I gave the information to Chase. To date, our 2nd mortgagee has not received anything. I called Chase prior to the December 20th date and the loan officer advised they could extend the locked in date of December 20th for small charge of $300. I advised him we will not be paying any money to Chase and that they needed to get this done by the date that they advised us they could, which was December 20th. To date, we have not heard a word from them. We have been duped by Chase Mortgage twice except the 2nd time they have not received any money from us. We feel they are scamming their clients to obtain fees.

The local Perquimans County Sheriff Department was contacted and a formal police report was filed that was subsequently sent to JP Morgan Chase, which that seem to have no record of ever receiving in 2013. The investigating officer that was assigned to this case contacted the Preservation Company and the representative indicated that she picked up individuals off the street in Elizabeth City, NC to complete job and did not have any names. Since JP Morgan Chase was unable to locate report I provided it to the Escalations Department twice for them to expedite review for resolution.

I have spoken to many Escalations Sr. Specialists and the policy is to contact consumer back within a 5 day period with status and this has not happened. Furthermore, I'm being told that each and every time I call for status this pushes the time back for JP Morgan Chase to respond. At this point this is very frustrating that all I am being told is to wait, when the memories of my parent's home and their possessions have been taken unlawfully. Everything went to hell from the start. The house appraised for $270,000. This gave us almost 50% equity. We endured numerous requests for "Letters of Explanation." All of which were met in a timely fashion.

I received at least 8 Good Faith Estimates, all with escalating closing costs. Every week a new email requesting new items. Not good enough to just give them the wife's Social Security Number, no they want a copy of her SS Card, not good enough, "we need her to sign this authorization form." Idiots. They even screwed up getting my tax transcripts from the IRS, causing the IRS to send me a letter saying someone was attempting to get my transcripts. I had to put Fraud Alerts on my accounts.

The local rep at the branch had no idea what was going on, he would only check when I called to ask what the hell does this request mean? The idiot woman Summer in Phoenix would not even check her email to see if the items she requested were there before she sends me yet another email asking for "Certified" transcripts. I'm glad to be done with these morons. Having bought and sold numerous properties in my life, I must say I have never encountered a bigger group of incompetent idiots. Four months later after countless hours and a lot of wasted money, I was declined for reasons that should have come up in that pre-approval process. I am so frustrated with Chase. I tried to work with multiple mortgage bankers and even their resolution team to no avail.

They continuously asked for the same documents and then Sat on the file until it was almost past the thirty days they have to make a decision. Everyone I talked to at chase told me something different to pacify me and keep me held up when I could've been working with an efficient mortgage company. I am so done with chase and want everyone who will listen to know that Chase is not a company anyone would want to work with. I have a checking and savings and credit cards from Chase that I will close immediately and go to any other bank. I will never work with Chase again.

This effected three families and eventually cost me $10,000 to pay for a place to stay while I waited to close on a home. I will never work with Chase again. They were nothing but trouble. Now they have a lot of my personal information that I don't trust them with. The only solution to this problem would be to not spend another second or dime trying to do anything with chase. I filed bankruptcy in August 2014. Contacted Chase to send me a reaffirmation agreement and modify my mortgage due to a divorce, illness which cause me to be off from work, and bankruptcy. It is now November of 2015 and I still do not have the reaffirmation agreement, nor the modification. First from August to December I was told by my Chase representative to not make payments since I was in bankruptcy. Then in January he told me the modification was still going but I needed my ex-husband to sign a Quitclaim deed, which I was told by Dallas County that they no longer accept or deal with.

Needless to say this went on and on and then when I was trying to make payments he told me I could only make the payment with him and not via any other representative. I couldn't contact him prior to me having surgery, and when he did call, I was under medication and could not speak. At no time did he tell me that my home was is foreclosure at that point. I ended up having to pay their attorney fees and past due fees to get my home out of foreclosure.

They set me up with a new representative that did the same thing when it comes to contacting you to inform you of important necessary documentation. They just put it in the mail to you, so you miss your deadlines. So I had to start the process over 3 times since August 2014! Then they send me a decline with no reason why, with only informing me to contact an attorney or realtor to conduct a short sale of my home for me. Keep in mind, since the foreclosure they had informed me to keep my monthly payments made while in underwriting for the modification.

So I called and went off on them and they sent me to their Executive Office, which is a joke as well. Then I received the same as the other person, a letter of Escrow Shortage and being required to increase my payment. The following week I received another offer to start a decreased payment plan for 4 months consecutive, which I agreed to. I called and their representative told me I should still make my October payment. When I did so, finally the representative that handled my case, which never returned any of my calls, called me to say I was being dropped from the program since my account was current??? I called and informed them my account had been current since April to get it out of foreclosure. So, now I have to start the process for a 4th time since no one knows what the hell to do at Chase Mortgage. They want your payment or your house!!!

They are horrible in helping and providing EXCELLENT Customer service to anyone. Whenever my credit scores increase and I am out of time frame for filing bankruptcy, I have to get my mortgage away from Chase. I will never recommend anyone to do a Mortgage loan with them at all. I should have known this would happen to me. I helped my friend complete her modification 3 years ago and it took her/us 7 resubmissions to get her done. What is sad, is that they feel that they are doing everything right and you are wrong as the client. Even when you do as I did, follow their instructions, I am still in the wrong or misunderstood what the representative told me. The government needs to go in and investigate how they do business and take people homes or cause them to go into foreclosure due to their incompetent staff.

I created this account simply to comment on Chase Mortgage. In 10 years I have never had the desire to do business with your organization nor have I ever been recommended to do so by anyone who knew anything about lending. I recommended my client to use lenders who would keep their word and will not have them feeling like they should bank elsewhere afterwards. There was concern about the ability to handling this transaction on time from both sides of the table, and rightfully so. But, in true Chase Home Lending fashion all of our expectations were met and for that I do give your institution some credit for consistency.

The only surprise is that in 2015 the average individual who banks with you is still being led to believe that they will be prioritized, respected, informed and communicated with. Anyone can lend money to someone who is solvent, but that is not exactly what people need in their pursuit of home ownership. Communication and truthfulness is it, that is all. Stress doesn't typically come from one's desire to look at homes or from my inability to negotiate a deal, it comes from the lender. So, much like every other real estate professional who takes their business seriously, I will continue to share with the public all of the reasons as to why you will probably not be the best choice when purchasing property.

My husband applied for a mortgage modification back in February of 2015. It took weeks of paperwork, signatures, and numerous phone calls, but we were able to finally enroll in a modified loan program. We were put on a 3-month "trial period" for these strict payments. We made each one on time and received the final loan modification paperwork in August. He signed and sent back the paperwork in the provided FedEx package. We continued to pay our mortgage on time. We believed that we had provided the necessary paperwork, payments, and signatures for this loan to take effect.

Today, October 16, 2015, we received a certified letter in the mail that we have not made our loan payments for 7-months and Chase would begin the process of putting our home into foreclosure. We immediately called to inquire as to what happened with our modification program and were told they never received our final documentation with our signatures on it; therefore, our modification program had been cancelled (they said they called us, but would not give me a definite number of times they called and we never received a letter stating this was going to happen though they claim they sent numerous letters). They did admit that they only called my husband's cell phone and kept claiming that I was not an authorized contact, but he filled out authorization paperwork 4-months ago so that I could be contacted/spoken to by Chase Mortgage. We also gave verbal authorization on more than one occasion.

Our only notification that we were being put into foreclosure was today's certified mail stating "Acceleration Warning (Notice of Intent to Foreclose)." We immediately called Chase Mortgage. Where we were told again and again, "This is not a Chase error." There is nothing they can do to help us. After reading previous comments, it seems that Chase Mortgage has a history of losing paperwork and delaying mortgage documents. Throughout this process, we tried time and again to e-mail (thus, we - the borrowers - would have proof that we signed and sent the required paperwork on time), but we were told they would not accept any documents that way.

We talked to numerous customer assistant specialists as the one assigned to us was never available throughout this process, we made the payments, we signed the required documents only to find out that since they "claim" they did not receive my husband's signature. We are now in arrears for 7-months mortgage, because our "trial program" has been negated. When we started the mortgage modification we were only 3-months behind on our payments.

Please know that while we were behind on our mortgage we sought out help through Chase and this is how we found the mortgage assistance program (to our relief). For our 3-month trial period payments we made them on time. But we have come to find out since they negated our trial period our mortgage payments do not go toward our mortgage. Chase told us today, that due to the trial payment being less than what our mortgage actually is it is as if we never paid our mortgage. Thus, in Chase's system we never made payments even though the trial money we did pay goes toward our mortgage payment. This makes absolutely no sense. So now, we sit at being behind on 7-months mortgage as well as being faced with foreclosure. You should know they will not take our October mortgage payment unless we pay the amount due in full (this is why Chase is stating we are 7-months in arrears).

This is unacceptable. And heartbreaking. We did everything Chase asked (sometimes three or four times because Chase would say it was not correct or they did not receive it) only to have Chase not help us and claim they never received my husband's final signature. We cannot prove that we sent the documents because we used Chases pre-paid FedEx envelope and Chase claims it was never used. Today we found out there was no way to stop the foreclosure unless we came up with the 7-months of mortgage owed.

Finally, Chase said we could start the modified mortgage process again by filling out the paperwork once more. We were told the original paperwork my husband filled out, signed, sent in, and Chase currently still has on file has been canceled and cannot be re-used or re-opened for a new modified mortgage application. They said it is a process that we have to start once more, but could not help us by expediting or rushing our requests. I only mention this because Chase told us this possibly could help us stop the foreclosure, if our paperwork for our second modified mortgage application gets done before the foreclosure documents.

They will not expedite. I kept being told by Chase that this modified mortgage application is a "process" where we fill out the same paperwork we previously did, send it in (but you have to be sure they receive it. We went to a Chase branch to have it faxed today, but even then they could not give us a "fax receipt" letting us know Chase actually received the documents), where it goes to a processor for review. After the processor reviews it then it is passed on to a pre-underwriter, if they approve it after review, it then goes to the underwriter. Then and only then can the underwriter determine if foreclosure can be stopped. The first time we did this modified mortgage application it took over a month to go into the system.

I do not have hope that our home will not go into foreclosure. It is egregious that a company such a Chase can be so casual about documentation that they lose it, claim they never received it, and only help us with, "this is not a Chase error" even though they cannot prove to me that they did call my husband to notify him of never receiving our last needed document. Where were our letters notifying they have not received our final signature? Where was an e-mail (again, they said they do not e-mail, so they cannot be blamed for not notifying us)? In this day and age with all the technology we have, there is no excuse to not be able to get in touch with somebody, anybody (me, his wife) especially with such an important issue where a family could and can lose their home.

I do not even know what to do about this and I only found these reviews after we received the foreclosure notification and talked to several people at Chase (again) today. If I can possibly help someone by not having them encounter the horrendous customer service, or advise to send all pertinent documents through a branch office via fax (get a screen shot of verification it was sent/received), or in the very least have Chase sign for the mailed documentations by paying for your own FedEX/UPS/USPS return receipt (I highly recommend to not use their paid for envelopes as they can claim they never received it and/or that the label was never used/tracked), then maybe I accomplished something today.

I see that others are having the same experience that I have. Chase Mortgage gave my father, who was 81 years old at the time, a 30 year home equity mortgage, interest only for 10 years. And now that he is 91 (and deaf), his principal payments started and they are 3 times what he was paying. The mortgage alone is 62% of his total income. They gave him this loan with no income verification that he could pay it back but now do not want to do a refinance to help him stay in the house, rather, they are giving him the run around for documents for a refinance. I have sent the documents 4 times, updated ones, and they keep asking for more. Then they sent him a letter saying that they are happy to help him with the short sale "he requested", just sign more papers.

I called the bank to demand they back off, he wants to stay in the house. He is up to date on the mortgage. They just want to steal his house. They already have received $50K in interest payments, so if they make a fast sale they will profit. They included an "appraisal", in the last set of papers they sent to us to try to prove that there is no equity in the house in order to refuse to refinance. They left out the highest selling comps which would show there is still equity in the condo. The appraiser was not even licensed! I want to know why there is no government oversee bureau preventing this kind of financial abuse, elder abuse, and predatory lending?

Updated on 01/08/2016: I wrote previously about trying to get help for my father who is underwater in his mortgage. Chase suggested that I go to the Florida's Hardest Hit program to see if he is eligible. Chase sent an undervalued appraisal to try to prove that my father had no equity in the condo so they could deny him a refinance. Meanwhile, I used that undervalued appraisal to show the Florida's Hardest Hit program that he was over his head in his mortgage. After 4 months of paperwork, I was informed that my father was eligible to get $25,000 - the difference between what he owes and the market value. BUT the catch is that Chase has to approve the pay down. Of course they didn't accept it. They were the ones who referred me to the program, but now they said they can't accept it on a HELOC. They have prevented him from withdrawing more money from the HELOC. If I had $ I would sue Chase Bank.

I have been waiting to sell my house to a couple getting their mortgage through Chase. They have been lied to over and over, pushed back our closing dates numerous times, my realtor has been rudely spoken to & lied to. I've paid for unnecessary storage because of false dates I was given from Chase, wasting my time and money! It seems David ** & Scott ** are the laziest mortgage reps on the planet! I am outraged that I even have to write this, but currently this situation has been nothing but a huge headache.

At this point we were told the CEO, and her personal underwriter would handle this file until completion! But still we are not being answered and dates being pushed back again! At this rate, I am supposed to close on the house I'm buying in 7 days! There's no way this is going to happen & I'm risking losing this house because Chase can't get their act together and just do their jobs!! I'm furious & nothing Chase tells me at this point, I can believe. They have proven to be lazy, slow, liars and unprofessional! I really hope they can get their act together and stop ruining my life!

I don't want any association with this bank & want to warn anyone else to NOT use Chase! Especially the mortgage reps in Farmington, Michigan!! Not to mention, their clients are in their 80's and have been loyal customers for many many years! It's sad, they've been treated this way. Their mortgage rep is too lazy to meet up with them to help move this along! Obviously he doesn't care much for being good at his job! It's just bad, it's all so bad... Bad business Chase!

First I must say, Linda of Clever MO posted on Aug. 12, 2015, I am going through the exact same thing. My home was financed by Chase Mortgage out of OH. I move out of the home in Charlotte NC in June 2009, after losing my job and getting the run around with Chase for about a year not wanting to allow me to enter into some hardship program that would lower my interest rate so that I could remain in the home. I receive a foreclosure letter letting me know that the home was in foreclosure and a sale date was set. Well I then received a letter from Brock and Scott (Chase Mortgage attorney) saying that the sale date was pushed out a whole year.

So in 2012 I started receiving letters from the city telling me that I was being billed for the property upkeep. I told them that the home does not belong to me anymore. I received a letter from Brock and Scott stating the home sold in Oct 2012. Well 2 years later 2014 a cop calls me and tells me I have squatter in my home (drug dealers) and that I was responsible for the property. Again I tell them that I do not own that home and explain that I had moved out on 2009.

I have tried reaching out to Chase and it has been unsuccessful. If there is any Lawyer reading these reviews please file a class action lawsuit, I guarantee you will come out on top and we all will get a piece of the settlement. My credit cannot improve because of this foreclosure and it is hard to recover from it when they just keep letting things linger on for years. I have been out of that home for 6 years now and today, just today I received a call from a person wanting to buy the home... A HOME I DON'T OWN!!

I have had a mortgage with Chase since October 30, 2009 and it has been a total nightmare. To start, at the closing, their lawyer told me what my payment would be, I saw it on the documents. I sent the payment in on time for 4 months. Then out of the blue I get a call from them telling me that I was in arrears and wasn't paying enough. I ask why I wasn't notified. They gave me the address they were sending notices to and it turned out the notices were sent to the house I sold, which Chase did not finance, instead of the house I purchased. Not only that, it turned out that I was in the system under a different last name, not the name on all my documents that are legal documents. It took me 4 years to get that changed.

Found out today 10/2/15, that they still have some of their records in a name I haven't used for 10 years. I also found the real mortgage amount under a staple, at the top of what appeared to be a blank page. Their lawyer didn't do his job. So, then begins the recovery of my 800 credit score. Over the years, I have had to place multiple calls over months to rectify the issues I have had with the mortgage. NO ONE seems to be doing their job.

This year, Chase was sent a declaration page on my insurance, which I pay in full directly to the insurance company and ALWAYS have done. Well, this year they decide to pay the declaration which has caused me tremendous grief. They increased my escrow payment to much more than the $437 for the policy. I called them to pay the insurance directly. They took the payment, but didn't apply it to the insurance. I am currently on the 4th call about this issue. This rep is telling me she has to file an insurance waiver.

Why didn't this process happen before? I feel like I have to call Chase every month to make sure they are doing their jobs. I am so sick of babysitting this company. I've been a homeowner for 25 years and this is the only company that I've had to dog to make sure they don't ruin me. This has gone on for years and I am sick of it. The stress is terrible.

I always paid my Chase credit cards with the same account and even my mortgage with the same account and now they blocked my payment option until March 2016, and want me to send a letter with a proof of funds from my bank. Which is incredible, because if I don't have funds I am not going to send extra payments to the principal? It's a waste of time to deal with a bank that don't help their customers to solve a problem. Chase required me to pay a 'shortage' on my escrow account. Based on their escrow analysis my account would fall short of the cushion (Chase requires the RESPA maximum allowed cushion of 1/6 of total payouts). The only reason I was falling short was that Chase pays the property taxes the month before they're due. If they paid them on the due date my account would never fall below the cushion. When I called to explain this I was effectively told that they're legally allowed to screw me over like this. So now I effectively have to pay another month's escrow payment for absolutely no reason. VA doesn't require interest be paid on escrow accounts so Chase will use the extra funds to make themselves a little more cash and I get nothing.

All was well with CHF home mortgage until 18 months ago when I began sending a separate principal curtailment check (to knock down my principal balance) with regular payment check. The trouble began and continued for 5 months running. They threw the extra principal into escrow. This took extraordinary time and effort on my part to rectify. Sat on phone Mondays for about 12 weeks, continually repeating my problem to new people. After 5 months, voila! They applied the extra check where it belongs. These people are all about home mortgage & this should never have become a problem but it is for THEM.

Now, 18 months later they have conveniently lost my additional payment check. This really only benefits their company to not apply principal curtailments. My most recent phone call of Sept. 4th revealed they do not have record of the check being deposited. Their solution was for me to stop payment on "that" check number and resubmit another. What? So they can destroy that one also? My checking bank charges me $45 to do a stop payment. Wish I could refi away from them but as you know to do so is expensive. I have decided to go into a Chase Bank branch and submit my checks through them so as to get a receipt. Finally I shall call them everyday (although this is time consuming) and bug them about that lost/destroyed check. Tying up their lines everyday should have some effect, somehow.

I will be very quick. Resume: Don't go with Chase or you may lose the home or the Down Payment!!!! First I want to recognize that this is my fault because I trust Chase and I thought that it was a Bank that care about their client. I did not do my homework and found later that I made a very bad mistake by choosing this bank.

Here is my story: I found a home of $ 240,000.00 in a very good area in Miami FL (perfect home, very good condition). I been with Chase for many years and I can buy a few homes like the one that I'm describing here by pay cash with the money that I have in my bank account in Chase. I told Chase that I will give them $ 80,000.00 down payment and I will finance the other $ 160,000.00. They ask me "why you chose us" and I told them "you have all my money. I want you to have my home as well..." I thought this is the most common sense decision and you may agreed with me. This is a very easy deal that any broker will kill to have. I will say I'm the perfect buyer since it is impossible to lose with this down payment that I'm putting and with my perfect credit score and income...

After 45 days of asking me for paper and asking me stupid questions, writing stupid letters and after unnecessary delays and mistake on their end, they told me NO. Basically the seller told me no more extension and if I don't come up with the money today "you will lose the 12K down payment and the home." Tomorrow I will go and close the deal and I will pay 240,0000.00 from my own money from Chase ACC just because I trust CHASE MY BANK! And I did not went to another lender or even check them online for reviews. Now I will search for other bank to transfer all my account and stop making money for this **.

Let me tell you something about myself so you can understand how bad is this bank. My credit score is above 750. I make more than 150K a year! A lot more! I'm a professional license and they know because they ask for it... I have my own business with few employees. I pay a lot of taxes. I have a home with no mortgage, the American dream! I do not have any type of debt, I drive a Toyota. LOL! I'm American citizen (Hispanic maybe that is why they say no). I been with Chase since they buy Washington Mutual probably more than seven years ago. The home was for 240K and I was putting more than 30%. And they say NO after make me lose a lot of time and money.

My friend if you don't get the right answer for my experience go there, do your loan and let us know your history! If you think this History is not True here is the Chase Branch # and the name of the Loan officer. Chase Branch 12795 S Dixie Hwy, Pinecrest, FL 33156. Phone: (305) 253-3685. Loan Officer: **. The reason why you can't get with Chase Bank is because all this loan officers and brand manager are just employees with no power at all. They will not get anything done. To you they are just there to fill up your application and ask you for more documents once the other part of Chase ask them. Even my business account manager is not able to do anything, no power at all and trust me he does not want to lose my account. LOL. You will never be in contact with someone with the right power (A real Manager). It is almost like go to a Mcdonald's to get a loan...

This ** can crash the market, make Companies like Blackstone & Invitation Homes and buy all homes in foreclosure and then rent it back very expensive to the people, get bailed out from the government and stolen our hard work money and they don't even give me a little loan because now that the rate are low it is not good for them!!! Do you understand how the ** works? This people don't give a **. This Banks and this Government are using us like stupid animals!

I am writing to see if you can assist me with my problem or if you can recommend an office that can. I have been disputing this matter for several years and I am tired and frustrated with dealing with it and desperate to receive a satisfactory resolution. Please see the following for my story. The Hoffman Law Group was the law firm that was representing me with my case against JPMorgan Chase Home Finance. The information that I have regarding the case that evidently is filed is as follows: Filed in May 2014. US Federal Court MD Baltimore Division. Case **, Case name: **, ET AL v. JPMorgan Chase. The case could be filed using my name or that of my father's, Johnny **, Sr. I have full authorization to discuss and handle everything regarding this matter. I can provide documentation of such if necessary.

Below is my story that had taken me to the point of where I ended up with The Hoffman Law Group representing me against the mortgage lender that erroneously foreclosed on our property and evicted me from my home. I have written to Chase Home Finance numerous times regarding a serious matter with our account # ** and have yet to receive any satisfactory resolution. Going on approximately four years ago we initiated a request for a loan modification on the first mortgage of our home. The home is in my father’s name, Johnny **, Sr. and I have complete authorization to discuss the account so that is why I am writing.

Initially I attempted to proceed with obtaining the modification on my own since I was told that it was possible to do. Since I was not getting any cooperation and basically getting the runaround about the request I had given up. I was told to send this and send that and do this and do that. I fully complied to all of the requests but never got anywhere. So in my disappointment with the lack of results that I was receiving I obtained a real estate attorney for assistance in obtaining the modification.

It has still been several months and it seems as though even with the assistance of my attorney we are still just getting a runaround. We were being asked for the same documents over and over again but once they get submitted still nothing gets done about the request. We have paid off the second note of over $50,000.00 and have even attempted to keep paying the temporary payments but then was told that they can no longer be accepted because the loan was under review for a modification. Well, I thought that was why they were temporary payments

It seems that even though we paid the second note completely off and we are cooperating fully with the requests for documents (over and over again) it doesn't count for anything. All we were asking for is a loan modification to reduce the monthly payments to make them more manageable and attainable. We were asking for the payments to be between $800 - $1000 per month. Since the second note has been completely paid off we don't feel that this is a impossible request.

It has gotten to this point where we were told that the house was going to go up for foreclosure/sale. So we were weighing our options and preparing for such. On the morning of the scheduled sale date my attorney received a phone call from a representative at Chase Home Finance informing them that the sale was stopped, they even have this on a recorded at their law firm. Instead the sale went on and the house is being foreclosed on. I was simply writing to request that the foreclosure be rescinded and that Chase Home Finance will simply honor our request for a loan modification on our home.

We even received numerous mailings from Chase Home Finance asking us to apply for a loan modification. Again, all we were asking for is that Chase Home Finance rescind the foreclosure and that they PLEASE honor this request so that we can resume our regular payments and be back in our home. Even after reporting this to our local congressman and receiving a response from the executive office they basically accused me of lying about everything and absolutely refuse to provide any resolution forcing me to take legal action and sue them. We are extremely angry and are telling everyone we know about this matter and how horrible they treat their customers.

I have banked at Chase for nearly 10 years and thought Chase was great. On the flip side, I have also been a great customer of Chase. I've never overdrawn any of my accounts and have completed every market research survey Chase has asked me to complete. In August of 2014 my mortgage loan was sold to Chase Bank. In early July, I began the process of requesting that the PMI on my loan be waived. I completed the paperwork and mailed the $450 check to Chase to order the appraisal. The appraiser completed the appraisal of my home right away and then things quickly went downhill. After about 2.5 weeks, I started calling Chase to see if the appraisal came in. Each time, I received a different answer. It was obvious that the customer service reps were not given the information necessary to appropriately answer my questions.

Finally, on 8/14 I spoke with someone who informed me that the PMI would be waived. She had a hard time letting me know when the PMI would fall off and couldn't give any info on the appraisal. This rep told me that I need to contact the appraiser for a copy of the appraisal. I explained to her that I did (based on earlier calls to Chase customer reps) but that the appraiser was not getting back to me. The problem is, I paid Chase to order the appraisal. Chase contracts with the appraisal company so it makes sense that the appraisal company wouldn't communicate with me. This particular rep did not have a pleasant attitude and put me on hold for 10 mins before transferring me to her supervisor. The supervisor told me that the full appraisal was in the mail.

As of today, I have not received the appraisal. So, I contacted Chase again. This time, I was told that there is no appraisal on record so please wait 7-10 business days so Chase can research again and get back to me. I spent $450 and have no idea what the value of my home is. This process has been so frustrating and it has become obvious that I am not a valued customer of Chase. Therefore, I went to Chase to close my bank accounts and move my money elsewhere. While I was there, I explained to the Chase employee why I was closing my account. This person relayed to me that he/she is in the process of purchasing a home and even though Chase employees receive a discount, he/she is not obtaining a loan there because of the poor service.

We owned our home for 17 yrs. Shortly prior to the economic crisis that was going on in 2008/2009, we refinanced w/ Chase. After doing so, my husband job was getting hit with the economic situation, as well as myself (which I working 2 jobs 60 hrs per wk, 2 days off per month)... Long story short, we called countless times to ask for help or remodification, but never heard back from them. By July 2009 we were 90 days in the rear, we left our 4 bd. home, with only basics for my husband and myself. Thankfully our children just moved out, we didn't have to drag them into this mess with us. Left furniture, tools, school items that our children made.... just about everything... to downsize to a small apartment, which took us 1 year to save up for after we left our home. We declared bankruptcy in June 2010, which our home was included in.

Since then, we have been fortunate enough to rebuild our credit to almost 700 range. So, we applied for a new home. Everything looked great.... but Chase kicked us again. We just recently discovered, our home was not foreclosed, until Jan. 29, 2014. In order to qualify for a home after foreclosure, a person has to wait a minimum of 3 yrs. I called Chase, to ask why did that wait all that time to foreclose? We moved out after 90 days of not making our payment. We haven't lived there since July 1, 2009. Their attorney was rude, and told me he is not at liberty to discuss this with us... However, they were granted to stop the foreclosure proceedings until, it was officially foreclosed on Jan. 29, 2014.

So, now we can't buy a house. We are 50 yrs old.... and have nothing to look forward to, other than to pay high rental payments. I am so mad at our country for allowing big corporations do this to the general public... Not our fault that the economy went sour, not our fault that now we cannot get into a home. But Thank You Chase, for doing nothing more than messing up our lives!!!!! I want to know who I can write to in Washington to look into Chase' s shenanigans.

When I first purchased my home the loan was through another lender. They ended up shutting down their mortgage side and sold out to Chase. I should have immediately looked for another lender being my credit was amazing at that time. My parents had awful experiences multiple times with Chase. They were able to get away from them just to have Chase purchase the mortgage AGAIN!! They raised the mortgage on my parents a second time. They eventually got away from them and haven't had any issues. But, me being a first time homebuyer I was naive. I was doing great with my mortgage for the last 4 years (when Chase took over). I unfortunately had some trouble and turned to Chase for a loan modification. I was approved for $250 lower than my current mortgage. I thought "GREAT!! That would help significantly." I just had to make it through the 3-month trial period. No problem.

My trial period started June 1. I was 2 months late. I was able to get myself caught up before my trial period. I made payment on May 23rd to pay my May 1st mortgage. I was informed AFTER she processed my payment that it may affect my trial period and that the payment could not be reversed. How convenient for Chase. I panicked and told the woman that I was not aware of that. And I was never told nor was it in the paperwork to stop paying your mortgage including late payments. It stated to not make additional payments once the trial period started. I panicked and told the woman I did not want this to mess that up. I put paying other bills aside to get caught up. The ONLY nice thing with the whole ordeal was that the rep who was in charge of my account kept in constant contact with me to let me know they were working on my account and if they needed any additional info.

The end of June I was contacted by my rep and he informed me that my trial period was over and I would be sent a letter from Chase and that I owed NO money to Chase until September. I said "Are you sure?" He said, "Yes. You are good until until September 1." I received a phone call that following Monday before the letter, stating I was late on my mortgage. I called them and was informed that my trial period had ended (not even 30 days in) and not only did I owe for July my normal mortgage but also an extra $250 for the June payment. I lost my ** on the phone. I explained, pleaded and cried to this woman who then referred me to her "boss." I told her the same story. They said because of the payment I made on May 23rd they decided that I could indeed afford the regular mortgage. And then proceeded to tell me that I needed to make a payment for June.

I said "HELLLOOO!! I paid other bills that I put aside to pay my late payments which I was NEVER told not to make. It wasn't until that May payment that I was informed that it may affect my loan modification." So it was a back and forth. She then said that if I had all the original paperwork to just refax it. So I did the very next morning. Didn't hear anything for a week so again, I called. I was informed that they received the paperwork and that it was not acceptable and they would be sending me a new packet. I received that packet among SIX additional packets every other day. So now they are trying to bombard me with these things I feel to frustrate and confuse me. I filled out the first packet and faxed it in. I have called three times in the last 3 weeks. The underwriters are still reviewing it. I have not heard anything from my new rep which I was told would be contacting me on a few days.

I have not heard from her once in the three weeks. I wish I had the money to afford the kind of lawyers that these millionaires can afford who ALWAYS get their loan modifications approved. They are driving around in ONE out five of their $80000 cars that they are still paying on. Their multi million dollar mansion. It's make me so angry that I am trying to straighten my life out with help from my mortgage company. I am trying to provide for not just myself but my child. Life took an unfortunate turn for me but I am surviving. I have my health, my job and my son's health. Now I just don't want to lose our home. But due to miscommunication on Chase's part I might have to reconsider my options. Stay away from them. They will not help you. They seem like they will at first. I would suggest getting lawyers involved if you can afford it at all.

Feb turned in modification loan package. My home was in foreclosure, paid off what I was behind in March 2015. Since then waiting for 6 months for a decision, but in this six month of waiting I've been faxing over and over documents. I believe they're full of it. My lawyers advise me that "9 out of 10 you might be approved, it shouldn't take this long. They're just seeing how far you'll go with this since you paid off what you're behind in." Why should they help you? If you want to lower your rates, go through a real bank, at least they'll tell you upfront. Just today Chase just asked me to fax the RMA again 8/3/2015, which I faxed Feb 16, and March 7, because they can't see from fax or can't read it, or some bull excuse. Chase should be sued. And if you escrow your mortgage and taxes to your payment, you better watch if they say you are in shortage. Make sure they give you a detailed automization of what you are short in.

I bet my bottom dollar they'll say something you owed them from a last year analyses. I have used Chase since 2003, 2007, 2011 because I have bought houses and sold back then. I have never had a solid mortgage payment that will last more than six months. It goes up, and I don't have a variable rate. It's fixed. Do your research before you buy your home. Don't have your insurance or taxes escrowed, pay them from you! My experiences have led me to this point, and I can give a rats ** if Chase sees this, cause I'm through. I guess if I hadn't caught up my payments my home would be on a short sale. Even your on assistance program, news folks, they can do that behind your back. Talk to a lawyer get advise, it's worth it. I'm sorry if I post it, but it's the truth and I know you are in my boat as well.

This bank is pushy, and a lot of the time, customer service reps are rude. I simply called this evening to confirm receipt of our very large house payment, and the guy was incredibly rude, would not let me get a word in, and was interrupting me every time I tried to speak. I only wanted to make sure they received our payment. Also, when my husband lost his job, they were unwilling to work with us, on any kind of solution to help prevent foreclosure. Instead, they tacked on $400 more onto our $1300 a month payment, for "repayment" on past due. Hello, we were unemployed! I'm not happy with this bank at all.

I refinanced my Chase mortgage loan in 2007, then again in 2009, never missing a payment and always paid on time. In 2014 I became unemployed and sought a loan modification from Chase. After being told I only qualified for a unemployment forbearance I accepted but remained in good faith, paying the entire mortgage amount because the forbearance is not forgiving or tacked on the end of the loan but due at the end of the forbearance. After the forbearance ended and still unemployed I was told I could qualify for the loan modification.

After submitting much paperwork and waiting for the reviews and underwriter to make their decision, I was again denied the modification and offered another forbearance. Now for people to understand why I am frustrated with Chase, my house is underwater so far it sank. I have not walked away from it like my neighbors and many in this country because I believe in this country. I want to do what's right and pay it through but when the very institutions that build and prosper in this country decide to limit their support for those who made them great, they too shall fall. I did want to share my anguish about Chase in public like so many have but Now I feel relieved!

I am a real estate agent that has completed over 30 real estate transactions in the last 6 months. This is by far the worst lending service I have seen in years. There was a 21 day financing and appraisal contingency in which Chase failed to meet either contingency. The appraisal came back over a week after the contingency expired and the financing approval is still not available and the file is 14 days past the contracted closing date. The continued response is that they will know more 'tomorrow' and each time we have new information, we are advised it will take another week to confirm if they can get the file to close.

Now, 2 weeks after the contracted closing and ~45 days from the start of the contract, it looks like they may not be able to provide him the approval due to an issue that most local lenders find when pre-approving a buyer (before a contract is even in play) and the contract will fall through thus the buyer losing his earnest money and the seller losing the entire spring market season waiting on this awful service. The kicker - the buyer even works at a Chase bank...

I will never recommend that my sellers accept a contract with a buyer utilizing Chase financing and I will certainly advise every buyer against even considering working with Chase for a loan unless they want extremely poor customer service, a questionable closing, and the potential to lose their earnest money. There are so many amazing local mortgage brokers out there, there is just no excuse to provide a customer experience like this and to make what is already a stressful situation even more stressful.

I have had my house and only owe half of the original loan. I only owe 15 years. I got a divorce and needed to refi to get it out of his name. They had me fill out all this paper, bring tax returns, ask for more papers again, another list of my 401K, and all of my bank accounts. I have enough in investment equity in my other 3 homes which Chase has two of the other rental homes and has proof I've owned them for 15 years and owe very little on them. I have a house out of state and they called the credit union to verify on a 3 way call about and I only owe 40,000 on that loan and my credit union told them I have paid in advance for 4 months ahead.

Now after this so called company Chase uses a third party calls me and insist I again do another 3 way call for a balance of 45.00 on my American Express bill. I have never been late. I have a credit score in the 800 and Chase takes my money of 410.00 non refundable application fee and then ups the percentage 1 point and wants me to close at a higher rate than what I signed up for. They are using the excuse they don't know if I'm living there. Well all of my houses are rented, which I can prove and the county appraiser came by unannounced during this and he said they check out all the properties when a divorce has been completed for homestead. He didn't have any concerns.

But all of this is still crazy. No one said I had to live there to refi my own home. Even though I am living there? It just seems crazy with them when they have my rentals and I don't claim homestead and I put the 20% down 15 years ago. I haven't hid anything. It is one big harassment. DO NOT USE THEM. Do like Clark Howard says and use a credit union. I have removed most of my money and I will be moving all of my 3 houses from Chase. They know I have enough money to pay them off and I still get treated badly and they act like I'm stupid and will go with a higher rate. They called me with a counter offer! Please do not use Chase bank. They have the worst customer service and all cover for each other's inadequacies. I recently refinanced my mortgage. I was lied to from the original mortgage consultant (Charlie ** from Oceanside, NY). Then, I complained to his boss (William **) who didn't call me back and I had to keep calling and emailing him. Then I complained to William **'s boss (Mujeebur **) who also did not call me back. My case was referred to the corporate office to Courtney **. She called me and I explained the problems I was having with trying to refinance my mortgage. The lies I was told and the fact that Chase was unable to handle a certain part of my loan and I had to take care of it for them. In addition, I told her about the non-responsiveness to the entire mortgage team that I was dealing with.

I received a letter from the corporate office a little while after the phone call whereby Chase just stood by their own people and basically said I was wrong. I complained again because my issues were still mounting even as of the day of the closing (they were charging me the wrong amount for closing costs/title insurance). I had to send several emails. I called Courtney ** and I emailed her asking that she call me. Of course I never heard from anyone. After my closing I received a call from a third party asking me to take a survey about my experience with Chase. Of course I gave them a lousy review. After that, I received a call from the Chase resolution management department and spoke to Joseph ** and his boss Brandon **. They referred me back to Courtney **. When I told them Courtney ** was part of the problem they said there was nothing they could do.

About a month after my closing Courtney ** called me and said she didn't know I wanted her to call her. Of course this is just another lie that Chase (Courtney **) told me. And by the way, when I left a message for Courtney **'s boss (Toby **) I never heard from him either. After my call with Courtney ** I sent a copy of the email I previously sent to her that said, "I left you a message and copied you on several emails regarding the service I have received from Chase. I would like a call back prior to my closing today". If this isn't clear that I wanted a phone call then I'm not sure what else I needed to say. Perhaps English is just not her first language.

Today I received a letter from Chase whereby they stated "Although you may have carbon copied her (meaning Courtney) in your emails to your Mortgage Banker, there was never anything in these emails to suggest that you wanted a phone call from your Research Analyst...". Gee, I thought my email saying, "I would like a call back prior to my closing today" was pretty clear that I wanted her to call me. This is what prompted me to finally write to the Department of Consumer Affairs. I was lied to by everyone at Chase. Lastly, I was accidentally copied on someone else's email by Charlie ** (thankfully it didn't have her personal information). The other Chase customer also slammed Charlie and said he is an idiot. This is someone I don't even know but obviously is having the same experience I had. I warned her and I am warning everyone else not to deal with Chase.

Chase Mortgage purchased our loan from our original mortgage company. In March 2015 we attempted to refinance our loan in response to one of mailers from Chase offering to refinance our existing loan. We diligently complied by responding with documents to Chase in anticipation of closing in early May 2015. Each submission of documents lead to additional requests noting that Chase did not delay in charging us their processing fee of 460 dollars. Lists of requested documents repeatedly followed which all were complied with - again only to receive 'new' lists demanding documents -- many of which had already been provided, etc., etc. etc.

I had worked for the U.S. Federal government for more than 40 years and am familiar with financial validations including those imposed by the departments of Treasury and Justice. As It became evident that Chase has an accounting problem and cannot effectively keep track of the documents provided to them. Too, there seems to be an internal competition within the bowels of Chase as to which agent/department can create the most difficult and redundant paperwork demand to the point of being utterly ridiculous.

After Chase having raised the bar on numerous occasions for historical (20 years past) paperwork, and after numerous requests that Chase confirm our closing date, it became clear to us that Chase no longer wished to honor the interest rate that had been locked in, and that its effort was to seek and secure a way and means to not honor the refinance. Another lending institution has agreed to refinance our home, but unfortunately with a higher interest rate - which serves to further substantiate Chase's decision as to why it has worked so hard to find a reason to not honor the refinance with them. After three months of being beaten up by Chase seeking any way possible to not honor our refinance we are shopping for another lending institution who truly wants our business. Bottom line -- Chase Mortgage is a disappointment that will never be forgotten!

I would like to start off by saying if you are buying a condo, town home or anything with an HOA please do not use Chase for your mortgage. I started doing business with one of their loan officers a month and a half ago. About two weeks ago I was told everything was great and all I had to do was wait until the closing date and the place was mine. I am in great financial standing, excellent credit, and no debt making me a pretty easy customer. A few days before the Closing Date I was told that they were having issues receiving all the proper documentation that was required after having a month and a half to do so. The day before the closing date, I was told they were unable to complete my mortgage because the HOA did not have an ordinance that Chase required.

It so happens that 16 other units were sold here in the last 6 months (none through Chase). Today is closing day, I have not heard back from Chase after leaving several voice/text messages. I now have to hope the sellers are fine with extending the closing date, my rate will be higher and I will not receive the appraisal money back ($485). This whole experience has not only cost me a significant amount of money but a huge amount of stress that I could have gone without. Please do not finance a home with Chase. At the very least do not finance anything with an HOA through Chase.

I have had my home mortgage with Chase since 2007 and just refinanced a few months ago. That process was smooth and efficient. I have never missed a house payment in all these years. My monthly note is due on the first and I have made payments that were technically late but always within the grace period and before the 16th, which is when a late fee is charged. I have never been late to where I was charged a late fee. Out of the blue, last week, I got a call from Chase and I thought it must be in regard to my recent refinancing. The caller asked if I was busy. I said "Well, I am at work. What is the call regarding?" With that, she proceeded with "This is an attempt to collect on a debt. This call may be recorded..." and also asked some strange questions, like was my house payment paid for out of my income, and was my house still in the same condition? What? Was that not covered in the refinancing?

I gave her the date that my payment would clear my bank. Again, this is before the 16th of the month. So why the phone call and what comes next? I will do everything in my power to pay on time but wonder if I will be harassed at work again if I can't pay on the first of the month. I checked my home and cell phone and they never tried calling those numbers first. All the lady had to do is to ask me when was it a more convenient time to call and on what number. Maybe I am paranoid, but I am concerned this is some kind of setup to try to take my home away. I will be doing everything within my power, even if it requires getting a second job to make sure that does not happen.

Also, I have noticed that when my bank shows payment as been made, Chase has not posted that amount to my account until the following day, which seems reasonable, but I will be watching to make sure Chase does not hold funds longer. At least I have printed the receipt from my bank, which shows the date they sent the funds to Chase. I am very dissatisfied with them calling me out of the blue at work like that, for no good reason. I found it to be harassing when I have paid my mortgage since 2007 without any problems. Why are they calling now, when I haven't done anything differently than before?

We purchased our home on a land contract. We legitimately had credit issues and worked diligently to correct them prior to going to Chase Bank for a refinance. I went to the branch with a current copy of our full credit report, 3 years tax returns, 90 days paystubs, copy of land contract, and the payoff on the house. I asked him to evaluate our circumstances prior to pulling the credit himself as to not knock our score down. He said, "Yep, we can do this" we went in the next day to sign paperwork. He told me an appraiser would be contacting me.

Chase took $480 from our account without permission to pay for the appraisal. We've never done this before so we thought we would write a check in 10 days when the appraiser came. We discussed getting extra money on our loan for home improvements to which we were told “yeah, no problem as long as the appraisal shows equity we can give you 85% of the value.” The payoff is 70,000 the appraisal is 103,000. I was asked to write FOURTEEN letters of explanation for things like why do I have to EFT each month. 1 is for car insurance and the other for my daughter's gymnastics class. I provided all that was requested.

More than 2 weeks went by after our submission of the letters with zero correspondence. I emailed the officer asking for an update and I got this in reply "file still in underwriting thanks." I replied asking about the extra cash at closing for improvements to which he replied "no extra money" that's all he wrote. More than 2 more weeks went by, not a word from him, I emailed him. 4 days after I sent that email, I called him, left a voicemail. Waited 2.5 business days to call him again. No response. Waited 2 more days to call his manager.

The manager assured me I'd get a callback yesterday, no. Called again today, manager says I'll get a callback today, which I did. The officer said "the file is still in underwriting but it will be denied" WHAT??? His reasons were genuinely crap, lies. This entire process was unprofessional, and in my opinion, not that it matters, appraisals should be when they know it will work out. We are now down $500 and back at square one. We are CLOSING both personal and business accounts with Chase Bank. I will never do business with them again.

We had to provide our relative's bank statement before and after the check cleared to prove that it's legitimate gift fund (although this amount isn't for down payment).

We have to go to the manager for assistance. Finally, on Friday 5/22/15 we got the result back with 20+ conditions that we have to meet in order for approval. Waiting for another week to come and the closing of escrow is near but no answer so we called them and get the answer that they are still waiting for Tax transcript and employment verification.

I called my HR to expedite the process but people there told me there were no request from Chase. We contacted the processor and the manager and they told us still waiting for requested document. Our loan application was put on hold because they still haven't receive the Tax Transcripts and the employment verification yet. The processor then emailed my Realtor agent and requested them to extend the contingent without discuss with us. He then said it was our fault that we provided him with wrong information and submitted the requested documents late. They had tried to expedite the process but it was up to our companies to respond or not.

I wonder how would my HR respond when they didn't even submit the request yet. The processor said "I can't make a processor disregard all of the other loans in process and immediately work on your... It is definitely a challenge to close escrow on a condo purchase with mortgage insurance required in less than 30 days." Disregard whose fault it was, we believe the bank should had requested all the necessary document like rental verification, tax transcript, and employment verification ahead of time not wait until 1 week near closing escrow. We were so upset then went further to senior lending Manager for assistance. 3 more days to our closing of escrow and we still don't know what's going on with our loan. I paid Jan. over the phone to my advisor and sent in all modified payments on time. After getting much runaround from late April until the end of May, I was told that because of making Jan. payment, I defaulted on the modification. I paid the difference the same day but I was still charged 1 of 2 late fees and my credit will show a late loan payment even though I was never late.

What my home refinance with Chase bank is about to surface is no less than a murder mystery. It need a forensic bank cop to undo the cover ups, and come clean on this very particular loan practices that Mr Chase Bank is performing. The forensic cop or entity we are looking for should be cleared of having had any income from any bank in US. Me and my wife, we refinanced our mortgage with Chase bank in 2006 from Washington Mutual Bank. Every OK, like usual business. But in 2008 August, a JP Morgan Chase Banker named ** from a different Chase Bank location offered a better and sweet deal to refinance our 30 year loan to a 20 year which we suppose to save lots of money. Here is the beginning of nightmare which they make it look like we are bunch of lunatics and make us look like some crazy folks in front of first a lower court judge and then a federal judge.

Ended up throwing our case out of court and finally giving summary judgment to Chase without us having a chance to go in front of a jury. Basically Mr. Federal judge sided with Chase Bank story, that all our complaints amounts to nothing since Chase Bank does not recognize that person as their employee. Now we have our 2008 loan application for refinance signed by **. It has a date that matches our complaint. It has our name and home address and of course it's marked mailed to home owner. Also that loan officer was a customer of our Beer Store then. He gave more loans to our sworn customers. More so, he bought a Merchandise from our store, paid $800.00 check with name ** on his check which was deposited in 2008 into our bank acct., this is October 2008.

More funny is that we received $41,000.00 as home improvement which was deposited into our acct directly. But the said bank does not provide us with copies of our bank statement for those three months period. We are asking numerous time, we have asked for our records. They just provide everything from 2006 claiming they have destroyed all our records from those three months that's why we call this a Mysterious Mortgage Refinance. We are going to go with main street news media to get this across the world informing people these giant Banks are able to make all their wrong doings so normal. It's scary. We have told our families to watch for us in case we are murdered. Look no further than Chase bank. This story will aired soon, unless these big head executives come down to earth and smell the special roses they plant all over the world.

He stated there were several items they would need, including to pull our credit reports. He did not advise me he was going to pull them immediately. He sent two emails with information they needed to process the loan. He called me on a Saturday, demanding the information. I stated we had company and I was getting the information together. I completed my research on my end and we realized we did not need to move forward for another 1.5 years. I advised him we were going forward with someone else. He did not advise me that he had pulled our credit reports, then turned around and sent denial letters and dinged our credit. Their letter is, of course not dated. My email is dated May 5, and another May 8 clarifying that we don't need to pursue this matter at this time.

This is not acceptable practice. He should have made it clear that he was pulling our credit reports prior to even starting the application process. We never started the application. I am completely frustrated and very upset that he has taken action and it now appears we were denied for a pre-qualification on a loan that we never submitted anything but a phone call inquiry about. I have had a mortgage with Chase since Jan. 2010. My credit is excellent and I have never been late on payments to anyone. In mid April I went to main Chase Bank and talked to the mortgage manager to explain we needed to move back to Ohio due to family illness. I asked for info on a mortgage assistance programs. She contacted their customer assistance specialist who took a request over the phone in the manager's office. I was informed I would receive a packet in the mail which would have all the forms and necessary paperwork that I would need to send back. The specialist told me to make sure I continued making my payments.

I did receive the packet a week ago. I also received a call from customer assistance specialist who was extremely nice on the phone and telling me they were sure they could work something out. She said she saw there were no problems with my credit and payment history. She also reminded me to keep making my payments till they let me know what assistance plan they were going to put me on, but she did said she thought it be a short sale. As of this date, I had not returned in paperwork to Chase yet.

Now May 1st comes around, and I go into my Chase bill pay and try to make my house payment as usual. It won't take my payment. I tried to pay it again today. Still no luck. So I went to the branch bank and the mortgage person there was able to find out they turned off receiving payments. She was very helpful at the branch in get things straighten out. I told them to cancel my mortgage assistance request.

After telling me to keep my payments up, and then turning my account off, so it would not receive payments. I could see the handwriting on the wall, these people were not about to work with me on my problem. Chase was going to make me delinquent on my loan and start adding late charges. I'm sure their plan was to ruin my excellent credit and try their best to bankrupt me before I ever turned any paperwork in for assistance. At 69 years old, I don't need this after all the years I have used Chase, long before I got this mortgage in 2010. I'm sure God will deal with these kind of people in his time. I was one month behind on my mortgage. I asked if I could pay a little at a time onto my regular payment to make my account up to date. They said no and that I should apply for the Mortgage modification program. They told me the problem was I wasn't far enough behind to qualify and to stop making payments. I stopped making my next payment and then I should qualify. I applied. Till I got all the paperwork they wanted [which was the same paperwork over and over again] six months went by. All the time I'm getting in deeper and deeper.

Now besides going from one month to six, they put me in the credit bureau. Now I have to refinance according to them. I have no choice but to do so. I had a 30 year mortgage which I was down to about 23 years. They re-appraised my home and gave me the new loan. Till it was all said and done, my interest rate went up because I was now in the credit bureau which they put me in. So we take the loan, which again we had no choice. We went to settlement and they supplied the lawyer who was supposed to be impartial. He told us what each document was for that we were signing. We didn't read each document. If everyone did, settlement would take a week. The lawyer was supposed to be impartial. That was my mistake for listening to Chase.

After about a year, I find out that they had me sign for a "45" year mortgage. I went from one month late, with good credit and 23 year left on my loan, to a 45 year mortgage and bad credit. My plan was my home being paid for so my niece could move in and raise her family and let my handicapped son have his same home and his same bedroom. My niece is 30 years old. I have 38 years left on my mortgage.

At that rate, if something happens to me and my wife, she will be 68 years old till the home is paid for. And by the way, I was exposed to agent orange, I'm 67 years old, and I have every sickness there is from it and more that I'm sure was caused by it. I don't know how much longer I'll be here. I am so worried about my wife and son. Anyway, Thanks Chase. You should be closed down. I'm sure I am not the first one they've done this to. I can't afford a lawyer so I am totally screwed.

When I was doing my re-modification they would not accept phone payments, however they would not give me a date that the auto draft would come out of my account, so I had to wait until they first to see if the payment came out and then of course my payment was late. We constantly have sent in different articles of paperwork per their request because they either didn't receive it or it was the next month and they needed the information to be current. Questioned my husband about a insurance by out that is on his pay check stub and treated him as if he was lying about the income.

He has faxed Chase a third party letter, stating that I am authorized to speak to them regarding the account and they always come back with "we never received the request". We have faxed three separate documents within the last 6 months and they always return with "we didn't receive all of the requested documents", a month later, which then all of the documents are outdated, so you get to once again fill out the million page request. This was a repetitive cycle for us the last six months.

In the meantime, we received calls from concerned family members because they see in the paper that Chase is suing us. Wait, they told us to not make payment until all paperwork has been ran through not mentioning at all that they plan to foreclose on your home. Sorry, is all that they can say. Oh yeah and "to keep your home, you are obligated to pay the full loan amount plus attorney fees." The following morning I contacted their collections department who treated me extremely rudely (since I MUST be a deadbeat debtor). I finally learned that a third party (I still don't know who) had paid off their debt to Chase and Chase erroneously credited my mortgage account and notified my bank to STOP sending payments. At some point subsequent to this Chase detected their error and put the funds in the appropriate account. They DID NOT HOWEVER, notify my bank to resume payments. January of 2015 we received from a third party bank a too good of offer for 10 years refinance as Chase already had our 15 years refinance mortgage we decided to go with a better known name. We called their call center as we had done 2 years prior. This time they asked for $495 for application fee and it would deducted from the closing cost. We were so sure we would get the loan, we paid it. I work as teacher and cannot answer to the phone calls. They are in Ohio 3 hours ahead. It was nightmare to communicate because initially they request the papers, etc through this secure email, to which when I send my emails I have no copy on "sent" mailbox. Then, when the loan application goes to processing, for some reason they refuse to use emails. We were quickly approved as our credits are over 800 FICO and LTV is over 40%.

Then it started getting nasty. They have an internal department called Project Team who reviews condos. In the beginning the processing department were so slow to respond and the rate was only good for 60 days. Then I found out about this department who was asking these questions and apparently were not getting answers from the HOA, then I told them I can help by contacting the HOA myself only if they could let me know what were the questions. Long story short, I helped them with all of their questions, the HOA, the legal team, the insurance company for HOA and condo helped with all the questions. The complaint escalated to the Executive Office as I was waking up at 5 to try to talk with Ohio, several times having to leave messages to 4 or 5 people, writing emails to the supervisors! Then to their supervisors.

But in the middle of this my husband and I began to realize they were set their minds long ago to not give us this loan for one reason or other. I asked them earlier to make their decision so we could take the application somewhere else so we would not go through the calling, waiting, waking up early but they kept us waiting. We are confident we are getting refinance we want somewhere else, but Chase needs to stop this nightmarish practice of traumatizing the whole experience of refinancing of honest people who strive to live a life with excellent credit score so we can afford to refinance for shorter mortgage term. I wonder if we should group and bring a class action suit. I contacted a real estate lawyer and it seems a long shot individually, as there was not a precise prejudice against us personally. This is a big corporation, they know how to do it, but it is not right!

We had a USDA Rural Development loan, which we took out in July of 2008. It was sold by the original mortgage company to Chase almost immediately, and we have been with them ever since.

In August of 2013, we had a family catastrophe and around October or November, we were late on our first payment. It's been a game of catch-up since then. My husband became unemployed in November of 2014, and we applied for a modification. After not hearing from anyone for a period of time, after applying, we contacted them several times before they responded and told us they needed even more documentation - some of which had been included in the application. We sent them what they requested, but then they came back and said it wasn't in the format they needed. We had the format changed, and this too was not correct. Each person we spoke with advised a different format was needed, and none of the formats matched what the other representative had advised. Finally, we had everything, and they told us it would be sent to the underwriters; they said we would hear back in a few days.

After 4 days, we called, and they said we were missing documentation, and that nothing had gone to the underwriters. This was December 23, and I was lucky there was anyone in our HR Office who get me the documentation I needed in time. We sent it over and were told the file was now complete. Fast forward to late January and several voicemail messages to our representative with no response or update, and we were broke. We decided to file for bankruptcy and set our appointment for February 4. On February 3, a packet from Chase arrived, telling us that they had decided we could pay $10 per month for the next 3 months as a mortgage payment; after those 3 months, our account be under review again for possible continuation or other options.

We filed for bankruptcy, due to our other bills stacking up, and Chase, obviously, cancelled the agreement. We stated in the bankruptcy paperwork that we would like to keep our house and negotiate other options. We tried to call our representative, but she wouldn't return our calls. She did call our attorney and said she couldn't speak with us due to the bankruptcy, but that Chase is open to working with us. Our attorney drafted and sent a letter allowing us to speak with Chase and allowing Chase to talk to us, but after several messages to our representative and her supervisor, we have heard nothing back from anyone. This is, quite possibly, the worst customer service I have ever received.

    StaffLoan Process

    Reviewed March 3, 2015

I have been trying to get a loan modification through Chase since January of 2012. I have been denied quite a few times now. They won't work with me. I have used two different attorneys to assist in the loan modification process and nothing worked. I am hoping to find the attorney to represent me in a lawsuit against them. They delayed my modification for a year or so demanding paperwork I had already sent them and for two or three months at a time my file was in underwriting.

Then after that first year they did not hesitate to inform that I didn't meet the specs for over half of their loan mods as a year had past and I was delinquent in payments. Now they have got a sale date on the house after promising me they would give me adequate time to sell the house. I need a legal team that is willing to drag Chase through court for not handling things properly. I am not the only one going through this. But somebody should be able to hold this monster company to the guidelines per legal formality.
