Signing up is easy, but canceling is extremely frustrating. I followed my contract, contacted them on time, and was told to wait for someone to reach out. No one ever did. The gym sends you to the finance company, and the finance company sends you back to the gym. No accountability, just delays while charges are still pending. I had to involve my bank to prevent being charged again. Think twice before signing up with any gym that uses this third-party billing service.

This company is absolutely atrocious. Completely oblivious and incompetent. I’ve been a member at WOW for many years and have received a hidden $35 fee that is not a part of the user agreement. On top of that I was charged my annual fee and monthly fee which is accurate but after speaking with customer service and having them direct me to the email they referred me to, I get absolute negligence. I submitted screenshots of the bank statements they requested per contract in the event of discrepancies and they completely disregard the hidden $35 fee. They claim there are fees for updated equipment and broken equipment which is what the annual fee ($59.99) is utilized for but still disregarded the hidden $35 fee that was withdrawn in addition. Avoid this company at all cost if you don’t want your money stolen from these pirates.

I tried to cancel inside Power House New haven. They gave me the number for ABC after 40 minutes on the phone. They told me I have to email and log into some portal which I don't have any log in info for. Additionally there has been no response to the email thus far. I had to put a stop payment in with the bank. Completely ridiculous!!!!

This financial institution is one of the worst. I have to monitor my bank history to make sure I’m not overcharged by this incompetent financial institution. I’m probably going to use another gym just because of this. It’s a shame I have to leave for this reason but a peace of mind goes a long way. I can only imagine how many potential customers have went elsewhere. Solely based on the reviews of a company who handles their finances. I’m sure they’d have 0 stars if that was an option.

They keep adding fees, for their services, paid 62.00 in fees, when I had instructed the gym place do not use them. And they agreed. A membership was of 34.00 a month ended up paying 125.00. Only 34.00 and the rest to ABC. Isn’t this stealing?

This crooked company is holding my refund money since May! They need to be stopped! I am currently seeking legal assistance. They continue to lie about the status of my refund for the cancellation of a gym membership 6 months ago! They are crooks!

This is company has no ethics. After struggling to cancel my gym membership, the last conversation with ABC Financial was a person who barely spoke English, trying to convince me to put my account on hold for five dollars per month so that I could rejoin any time, as if that is some kind of benefit. Once I finally figured out what they were trying to steer my, I explained that I just wanted to cancel. The person finally claimed that my cancellation was complete. The next day, there is a $37.35 charge to my bank account. I AM NO LONGER IN A CONTRACT. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO CONTINUE TO DEBIT MY ACCOUNT. THIS IS THEFT.

The company refused to process the cancellation unless I provided extensive medical records and a note from my doctor. This request for highly personal medical information is unnecessary, invasive, and irrelevant to canceling a paid membership. Additionally I had trouble understanding the person on the phone due to heavy accent.

Do not sign a gym membership with ABC Financial. They make it very difficult to cancel a membership if you are under contract, and the staff is not accommodating. Although my gym, which uses ABC Financial, is great, I don’t even use it because of my work schedule. Overall, while the gym itself is good, dealing with ABC Financial is not a positive experience. It's best to stay away!

Sure would be nice to be able to give "zero" stars. ABC Financial is a disaster. They’re the ones responsible for dues collection at Gold’s Gym, and my recent experience shows exactly why they have nothing but negative reviews. My bi-weekly payment was scheduled to be deducted today—I confirmed it on my credit card statement. Yet when I went to work out this morning, I was told I had a “past due balance.” Really? A payment that isn’t even due yet is suddenly “late”?
I offered to cover it with cash, since that’s what I had on me. The staff member at the front desk couldn’t accept cash (not his fault), but he assured me I could still use the club and pay later. Reasonable enough. But then he mentioned ABC would be tacking on a 60% late fee—$23 on top of a $40 payment. For a bill that isn’t late.
This is beyond shady. Charging a massive penalty on a payment that, according to my records, is current is nothing short of predatory. It’s the kind of behavior that drives people to leave gyms, not stay loyal. I’ve already reached out to Gold’s Gym management to raise this issue. Based on the mountain of negative reviews, ABC Financial should have been shut down years ago. The fact that they’re still allowed to handle billing is a black eye on the Gold’s brand.
