I relocated from Hampton, Virginia to Austin, Texas for employment and submitted the required documentation to cancel my Anytime Fitness Hampton 2 membership (Acct. #**) per the relocation clause in my agreement.
I provided:
A letter from my new employer (on letterhead) in Austin, TX.A current paystub from that employer.
A tax document showing a Texas address (my brother’s home), which I used only to verify state relocation.
At no time did ABC Fitness Solutions ask me for my actual residential address in Texas. Instead, they assumed the tax document address was my residence and changed my location to Killeen, TX—then claimed I live 2.7 miles from a gym there and should transfer. This is false. I live and work in Austin, TX, more than 25 miles from the Hampton club, meeting the cancellation requirement. Their refusal to process my cancellation, based on an incorrect assumption they never verified, has resulted in continued billing for services I cannot use, despite my full compliance with their stated policy. I moved in March 2025. I also asked for corporate address, but no one seems to know how to refer me or get their address.
Requested Resolution:
Cancel my membership effective the date documentation was provided.Cease all further billing.
Refund any payments taken after my valid cancellation request.
I have attached all correspondence and proof of relocation for review.

The actual worst ever. I’ve literally been charged over a couple hundred dollars while trying to cancel my membership. Everything is done by EMAIL which is the sturdiest thing ever. I have never experienced such poor customer care. These guys are the actual worst and have caused so much financial stress it’s ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and NEVER join a gym that is owned by ABC Fitness.

I cancelled my gym membership April 7th. I got a charge from ABC in May, as my gym hadn't told them to cancel my account. I notified my gym and disputed the charge. Now I'm getting harassing calls saying I owe ABC for the May charge. I talked to a 'supervisor' who said they can't take the charge off of my account. Deceptive, predatory and underhanded business practices.

I’ve been to two gyms in my state that use this third party “company” to handle billing. It’s always the same crap. Charging late fees before you’re even late. They don’t even give you a heads up. Same with maintenance fees. They can call you to let you know your balance is outstanding, but god forbid they let you know they’re going to charge more than agreed. Unethical and greedy, capitalizing on people trying to better themselves. This is the kind of rhetoric what we need to take America back from. I DON'T RATE THEM.

I changed my last review. They gave me a fair deal. Although I paid a fine it was ok. I’m ok. I’d prefer no fine to break the contract. So many gyms go month to month. Not good at all to pay a 250 dollar fine but it’s fair. I agreed to it. I wish there’s no fine to cancel. I was paying way too much monthly at the gym in the first place. I should’ve negotiated but actually I appreciate ABC for canceling. I don’t know how to delete my last review here.

Evil predatory behavior. I canceled my Anytime Fitness membership. This evil company harassed me to collect money after my account was handled amicably. Always replying with no name. Interesting huh. I’ll make sure to never use anything that’s affiliated with ABC Fitness. Trying to shake down paying customers? That also reflects poorly on anytime fitness. But I like the manager. It’s you people I despise.

I had canceled a plan and was told it was canceled but I was never told I had an outstanding fee until ABC reached out to me and even after I provided a verbal yes that I canceled my gym plan, they still wanted me to pay a debt I was never told I had. I never had issues with the gym and always paid my bill until I decided to cancel it and even till then the gym employee told me I didn’t have an outstanding fee.

Bad customer service and they don’t care about customer relations. I also had a horrible experience with cancelling my membership. Never has it been this difficult to quit something, they only need a blood sample to process your request. I don’t have a large reach but, I will make sure to educate as many people as possible on ABC does business. At least they know the beginning of the alphabet…about they only thing they have done right.

I am actively trying to pay a bill because it has not been accepting my card. Only since earlier this month was I notified that my new card wasn't taking. Now my key fob is disabled and after updating the information and putting in for a manual payment. It will say a payment has been received but no money has been taken out of my account and my due has not been changed at all.

Terrible company. I was given an agreement that I’d only have to pay a 24.99 cancellation fee then they double back and attempt to charge me 126$. I hope it goes under. The First Lady helped me with an agreement but as soon as I called later to verify it has been cancelled they just regurgitate their scripted lines.

This agency has slow and bad service. Nobody answer the phone in long time. After you cancel the membership, they still take off money, from your account. They many regulations that the customer doesn't know, and many excuses for their low service.

I cancelled my membership over two months ago for me and my daughter. I was the sole person paying for the account for both of us. She was a student. I called the local gym and told them to cancel my membership, and they told me I had to call ABC to cancel. They said I had to give 30 days' notice. Both FOBs were returned to the original club we signed up at. They sent me a letter stating my membership was cancelled. I checked my bank account after the 30 days and they're still collecting money for two additional months stating that my daughter didn't cancel! So I'm paying for a membership with no FOBs, no access to any gym, and I'm paying the same amount for one person?
They're saying "she" didn't cancel her membership. If she had a separate membership, why am I paying for it? How can she cancel a membership when it's under me and my account and I'm paying for it? Of how long this would have gone on with me not checking my bank account and being hosed further? This is crazy. This is bad business. They're saying I still owe another payment for the end of the month when I've paid $60.00 over what's due. They've over collected and saying I still owe a payment. They owe me. Membership was cancelled. Still taking money out of my account for a month and a half. Bad business.

Even though I'm on a state and national do not call us they still choose to call me several times a week even after I sent them notice that they're in violation of law. I am not the participant that they're looking for. I have no connection to them nor do I owe them a dime. This company is harassing me because they think I'm somebody that I'm not and I will not give them the information they require.

Got injured at work. No longer able to go to the gym. Went in to cancel my membership. Told me it was canceled. Continued to charge me the annual fee 75.00. Along with a $25 convenience fee, My monthly membership $45 and another convenience fee of $25. No one told me there had to be a written email sent to ABC Fitness for my cancellation however, ABC fitness didn't feel that I deserved to be refunded my money even though I was misinformed. Got the feeling they straight out Don't care One of their customers was wronged. Now I'm stuck in debt over $300 at the time of this review and still gaining overdraft fees and I have no way to pay because I have no income and cannot work because of my injury. This company doesn't care at all about their customers (I was a loyal customer for 5 years). I highly recommend you use a gym outside of ABC fitness.

I was a member of Anytime fitness from 2017-2024. The one in Golden Valley Reno, NV 89506 has made it BEYOND difficult to cancel my membership. I have not been in contract for five years; it has taken well over 60 days, and I keep getting charged. I turned in the form 9/5/2024 VIA email MAKE SURE YOU DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. I was also in direct contact with a club manager via text. I would get "assured" it has been handled. Only to be charged for a membership I cancelled. I also sent an email basically BEGGING THEM TO STOP CHARGING ME. I will never recommend Anytime fitness due to their business practices or lack thereof.

In partner with Anytime Fitness of Parrish FL. The worst gym in the state and that's being modest. Been sending e-mails to Kayla for a month to cancel. She has been stacking fees and my contract is over. That's why they make it hard to cancel. Why should you have to send a letter or go online to cancel in 2024? This isn't 2005. You know the service is terrible by the picky posters in the bathroom about adding charges for routine scenarios within a gym. Crunch Gym is cheaper and have much better equipment.

It is terrible. I would never sign for a gym that works with ABC financial solutions. They charges you any time they want and even if you cancel your membership they still getting your money. I had to go to my gym twice to claim the charges.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for a few months and somehow I just got charged again. I was told I could not cancel it over the phone but yet their site, when I hit cancel member, it says "internal server error" every single time. I have emailed them and I was told that I wasn't able to cancel it through email.

I asked for a month-to-month agreement at an Anytime Fitness location, which has proven to be shady in their communication since. When I requested to cancel the month-to-month after moving (and the nearest location closed), I was told by a different manager that I signed up for a 1-year membership. I vehemently told the manager that I only spoke with staff about a month-to-month. The owner, Branden Bunker, was unreachable, refusing to communicate. I was told later by a trainer that the staff who signed me up had been terminated for mishandling memberships.
After my communications with management, I thought they sorted it out. But then I see 100 points reduced from my excellent credit score, because ABC Financial sent the account to collections. I received no phone call about the account, despite my phone number being unchanged the last 5 years. They just sent it to collections, and this is the only blemish on my report. Nevermind, the incompetent, shady person that was fired after doing my paperwork. Nevermind the gym managers giving me false information. And the ironic kicker?....I signed up for a 2-year membership at another Anytime Fitness location and have been in good standing there for almost a year. So this company just ruins your credit with little hesitation, not caring how a gym has mishandled the agreement. They've collected money from multiple gym memberships I have had the last 10+ years, but do not allow to clear up the mess caused by shady staff??!

Unfortunately, my mom was lied to, and taken advantage of. I called the Consumer Affairs department in hopes they would help my mom find a solution for her auto finance loan. Filed a complaint against the dealership that sold my mom a car that had no proper safety such as airbags and working seat belts, putting her life at risk. Neither the dealership nor Consumer Affairs have reached out to me with any solutions. I have been hung up on multiple times by both parties, (dealership, consumer affairs case associates).

Tried to cancel back in November and was told I had to prove I was moving to cancel the membership and pay $200. I thought that was odd but went through with it and provided my information for it to be cancelled. Fast forward three months, I am still being charged and when I reached out to cancel a third time they wrote back stating I'd have to pay $332. Are we just making up numbers now?

On 1/17/24 my son invited me to go to the gym with him. I was excited and headed over to EOS GYM in Mesa. My son has a guest pass, however I was told to speak with Russell and Woody. They were nice guys, however I knew they were selling a product. I joined the gym and cancelled the personal training. I also cancelled the full gym membership before the 30 days. They charged me for the personal trainer and gym membership. I called repeatedly and also went into the gym to cancel. I had to go through my bank to dispute all charges. EOS and ABC Financial Services are scamming people.

I signed up for the gym being told I would have to pay a fee of 40.69 twice a year for club fees. I have now been charged 6 times this amount and I have been with this gym less than a year. I thought it was affordable which is why I signed up but now they are charging me late fees for payments they have received and I'm tired of it. I then try to contact customer support only to never be taken off hold. This is outrageous and I don't see myself being partnered with this gym any longer.

This company is the biggest scam imaginable. They find every way to steal money from you. I have no idea how they made it so that gyms use them. They will take and take, and when you go to cancel, they squeeze you out of money and make it impossible to cancel. I tried to cancel, and it took a whole week to do so. I sent them proof of moving, and the lady on the other end said she did not know how to open a PDF. Are you ** serious? How do you hire and employ to work in digit customer service and they do not know how to work basic computer skills? After that week, it conveniently fell within the period of "in a pay cycle," so I had to pay an extra membership just to cancel. A scum bag company with scum bag practices. I wish a government agency would dismantle this fraudulent company.

Their sales team is deceptive, incompetent and unaware of their own software's capabilities. The software is outdated, slow and doesn't have the basic capabilities needed to run a successful gym. They've doublecharged and overcharged over 100 of our members. They've forced us to purchase their antiquated hardware at steep markup. We've lost over 100 members and spent 10s of thousands of dollars making the move to and now away from ABC. Worst business decision to date. STAY AWAY! Here's a list of things their software DOESN'T DO:
Inability to have KPIs in one place.
Inability to see accurately forecasted PT (recurring services).
We can’t do something as simple as see how many paying members we have without selecting the different memberships, uploading a CSV file that takes 5 minutes or more and then opening the CSV to see how many line items there are…
Others:- Day Passes sold online.
- Ability for non-members to book a class through our website.
- Prorated Cancellation (automation).
- Ability to use Mac/Apple.
- Ability to bill personal training clients every 4 weeks.
- Ability for personal training clients to to cancel within 15 days of their next billing.
- Ability to expire sessions after 5 weeks of purchase.
- Ability for the system to check in PT clients when they check in the door around their training time, (just like what happens with classes).
- Ability to unlock the door remotely through app (not the button on the front desk we had to install).
- Ability to see check ins from Staff app, Apple watch etc. (we've used this to call our members by name when they walk through the door, pretty important for a brand like ours).
- “Club Account” or ACH, only bills once a month, which means we have people getting charged for something they purchased a month ago complaining to us, taking up more of our time. Again, we stated ACH was going to be our only payment form when we switched over, so this is big.
- Ability for trainers to manage their schedule using their app (not the front desk workstation).
- Ability to refund members on our own without calling in.
- Ability to issue a credit members on our own.
- Ability to refund ACH transactions. As stated, we planned on moving everyone to ACH.
- Debt collections are totally automated, you don’t actually have a debt collection team as stated. This was a HUGE selling point from Omar - so far our collection is way off from what Omar and Aaron quoted.
- No capability for automated cancellation and no show fees.
- Ability for trainers to check their clients in via the app
- THE ABILITY TO REQUEST AN IMPROVEMENT/CHANGE AND GET IT DONE (EVEN IF THAT MEANT PAYING EXTRA).

I was recently charged twice for $46.99 on October 5, 2023 and October 6, 2023 by Crunch Fitness and ABC Financial. I went inside Crunch Fitness local branch where I live and the manager said it would take a week for me to receive a refund. I really think that it is ridiculous that my money was taken from my account for almost a $100. Can I please get my money please.

ABC did the right thing. I appreciate their attempt to make things right and they did. I wish I did not have to leave a public review to get taken care of but I really do appreciate that they made things right. My experience has been much better since.

ABC Financial might as well be a money laundering organization. I cannot believe they are in business still. I joined Anytime Fitness a month ago and I have been mischarged by ABC Financial 3 times already. It is impossible to get to them on the phone and emails never get replied too. I am 1 month in and this has been the worst company I have ever had to deal with, and Anytime Fitness isn't any better. I think I am going to start organizing others that have been screwed over by them and fight back.

I sign up for services at Planet Fitness and everything ok. Out of the blue ABC Financial is charging late payments for payments they’ve received. And I’m not directly paying them so not sure how there can be a late payment when they bill me!!! I contact home store to dispute and the home store is coming up with more excuses and they can’t even stop abc from taking my money. I get free months from planet just for abc to keep charging late fees. I dispute their late fees and they just come back next month taking back the late fees. The most annoying part about it is abc financial can’t Ben be contacted to tell them stop charging my credit card!!
I haven’t and can’t work out when someone is fraudulently charging my card and smiling in my face. Funny thing is I’ve been banned by my local YMCA for the exact same treatment!!! No one here to help! I’ve contacted lawyers and none cares!! These businesses keep mishandling my payment solutions and smiling in my face!!! I snap on planet fitness and they say it’s because I have a credit card on file and not bank information. I’m not giving crooked abc solutions my bank information so they can steal from my bank amount which has no dispute help like. Credit card does!! Planet fitness corporate does not help because each planet fitness is separately owned. They just keep slowing each planet fitness to ruin the experience of a no judgement zone!! And you sorry ** are judging my credit accounts by telling me each time I call that’s there’s late payments but won’t fix it.
Planet fitness is tired of me disrespecting them but they not tired of disrespecting my credit card, my time coming in that lame store to ASK them to stop, or my precious sanity that is being stretched after being wrongly banned from a ymca. Now a dumb planet fitness over BUSINESSES mishandling my credit card!!!! Where’s ALL my rights that come with fraudulently making charges to a card???? Is anyone mad at them for repeating what I can’t do 1 time!!! If I don’t pay you guys get legal and everything that comes with it. Banning!!! Late fees!!!! Whatever you choose. Your business buddy’s steal my money... crickets!!!! No lawyers, no consumer protection, no naacp!!! No government!!! No one!!! But me and my stress that I have nowhere to take it out at!!!
