You sign up for the trial under the premise that you have access to all the games you don’t and if you cancel right away they change your card for at least $8. How is that a free trial at cancel anytime

One of the worst customer service departments I have ever had to work with in my life. I started the two games and/or movies out at a time plan. I put two in my queue. After a week they still were not here. Their solution was to resend one of the items and waiting for me to get it before they sent the next one. I was not happy about that, but decided it was not really in their control. I then inquired about a credit since I would not have a game for probably at least two weeks after starting my plan when I should of had two games within a week. They told me that they could give me a credit for one week. I tried to explain that I did not feel like that was adequate due to not having one game for possible two weeks and possibly not getting the second one for three weeks. I told them that if this is how their service was going to work that I would just cancel it. They pretty much told me to go ahead and cancel it.

Not worth the money. Takes absolutely forever to get your games. They say 3 to 5 days but it's always 5 to 7 days. Customer service is almost non-existent. If you do get a hold of somebody they're extremely flippant. They say two games at a time but I got one game and then a week later I still haven't received the second. I had already processed the first return and then they're finally sending out a second but I was supposed to have two at the same time. The whole time in my queue it's saying that the game is at my house but when I call they say, "No it's still in transit." All around a horrific experience.

I remember GameFly from when I was 15. I am 28 now so obviously they have a successful business anywho, I decided to give it a try again because of far cry 5 and cyberpunk figured 15 per month is better than $130 for 2 games that might meh anywho I messed up and gamelocked far cry instead of cyberpunk and boom cyberpunk was still sent out yesterday, I am in California so is the company so that helps, but I also sell on eBay and 2 days shipping doesn't apply when stuff is going to the east coast or even the Midwest. It takes an extra few days!

As far as when you send it back, if your post office scanned it on intake, gamefly would send out whatever is in your Q next if they don't scan just mail it like a letter is takes 4-5 days, when in reality it should be scanned because it's a priority mail package, so you can also take it in to USPS and tell the lady to scan it in, so yes a lot of the waiting etc is not on them, some people need to either not live in middle of nowhere and understand how the world works.

Where I live it takes 3 days to receive a game once it's shipped. It takes 1-2 days after dropping an old game off before a game in my list is shipped out to me. So overall it's 4-5 days turnaround between sending in an old game and getting the new one at my location. In less than 2 months I've already beat a 60$ game, a 30$ game and I'm playing another 60$ game right now. It's definitely worth the money. You build a wishlist of games you want and they try to send you ones from the top of your list if it's available.

If there is a game you REALLY have to get, just remove everything from your wishlist but that game to ensure that gets sent next. I get to try a lot of games that I wouldn't take a chance buying, so it's really great. I recommend at least the 2 game plan. This way when you finish one game and send it back you can play the other game while you wait. Once you've been a member for at least 3 months they open the option to get on the 3 or 4 game plan, but unless you have a lot of free time it's probably not worth the extra cost. When you cancel a subscription they want your games back within 7 days or they will charge you for them, so make sure to drop them off the day you cancel. If you cancel before your month of service is up you will lose the remaining time.

There's a con you guys are running so a person pays 16$ and can only rent two games a month but if I pay 23 $ I can get to play four games in a month's time. And I've noticed on UPS tracking you guys get it from within two days of me sending it back to you in California and take your time trying to send and process the next game. First off I'm going to add this to social media so customer can be aware of what's going on.

I rented my first game from Gayfly, I mean GameFly and it was 5 days later and still never received my game. Ever anticipated getting a game in the mail just checking everyday hoping to receive it but it never makes it even though the “Q” says its out for like almost a week. First game and this problem is a big RED FLAG??? And I immediately canceled my subscription.

Now I remember why I canceled it many years ago geezzz, what a mistake Gamefly is. They want to take a week out if the month and by the time you get the game, install it, download updates, and next thing you know it your next monthly payment is in. It is a tactic Gamefly uses so they can stretch their inventory and dollars more while penalizing you (without asking or saying anything) so that they can gain instead if losing so therefore they feel they have to delay you on purpose until you say something and then they won't penalize you... for a month. Screw Gamefly, please do yourself a favor and save your trouble, money, and, gaming needs to someone else. Gamefly is by far the worst video game company in the world.

When I called to check, they claim they never got my game. They get their games back within one day of me mailing it but when it comes to my own personal game I mailed by mistake, they keep claiming it must have been lost in the mail. Very shady company.

So over the summer I decided to get this for my teen, HUGE MISTAKE! 2 games at a time, I think I received maybe 5 games in 3 months, so I cancelled. Upon cancellation they shipped the one game my daughter wanted to play. It arrived on a Friday late afternoon, so with the post office now closed till Monday in our area, I waited till the following Monday and physically took it to the post office. Just a few minutes ago I received a threatening email from GameFly stating that they've charged me for the entire amount of the game! A game I no longer have in my possession! Worthless, now I am disputing the charges with my card company, and sent a well worded on the verge of being beyond Curt, reply email. For the love of everything AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Very bad company with terrible customer service. They don't care about the customer at all. First off, they charge a lot for this service, so I do expect decent customer service, but they are combative, rude and simply don't care. TWICE now, I have not received games they have shipped. This would be fine if they just immediately shipped another game out (because think about it, I am paying $22 per month to have 2 games out at a time, so any day I don't have a game in my possession, I am wasting money), but they do not immediately ship another game out. You have to wait days, sometimes a week for them to ship the game, then once they ship it, you have to wait at least 3 days to receive it.

So in one instance, I waited a week to receive a game, didn't receive it, they finally let me report it missing, then I waited 2 weeks for the next game, I checked my game queue, and it was mysteriously suddenly empty. So that is 2 weeks I paid for a service where I received ZERO benefits from the service. I told Gamefly about this and they just told me to add another game to the queue and they would ship it out when they can get to it. I requested some sort of compensation, perhaps 2 weeks complimentary to make up for the terrible service, but nope, nothing, they just don't care.

Avoid at all costs. Just buy the games you want. Get a PSN subscription and get games when they go on sale there. Just don't waste your money on this terrible, greedy corporation. They don't deserve a penny. One time I had to wait over 2 weeks to receive a game in my queue that was a new game. I advised them I had been waiting a couple weeks and they told me to just change it to a different game... that completely defeats the point. Such a waste of time and money.

I figured I would try again since so much time had passed and they weren't out of business yet so they must have fixed their issues. Nope. The availability of the game means nothing. Even high availability games take forever to ship, and then returning and waiting for that to go through to try and get another game is BS. I was able to get one not even popular game over the 1 month free trial. This service is still a rip off and complete waste of time. Please go out of business already.

Let's start at r/NintendoSwitchDeals. There was a post about Kirby All Star Allies being on sale at GameFly for $29.99, which is half the retail price. When I followed the link, there was no purchase option, only rental. So, I signed up for a free trial. Immediately, I got a bank notification for a $9.95 transaction. At no point during signup was this mentioned. It's just a temporary hold, but it would have been great to know ahead of time.

Now I put the game as the only game in my queue. A day or two later I received an email stating that the game was on its way. At that point I was able to click the button for keeping the game for the aforementioned price, and so I did. I also made sure to add a couple more payment methods to the account, just to be on the safe side. Oh boy. That was a mistake. The day before the game arrived, I got an email concerning problems with the transaction. No big deal, I thought, I'll just log in when the game arrives and sort things out. Nope. Before I knew it, another email came in. I didn't check this immediately, just noted it was there and was likely related to the transaction issue. Then the game arrives, and is in fine condition.

I attempt to log in to my account, but notice that there's a message at the top about my account being TERMINATED. At that point, I checked the email: "Thank you for your recent purchase with GameFly. We sent you a request to verify your billing information on 11/11/18 and have not received a response from you. We do not ship a purchase if the billing information has not been confirmed. Therefore, we have cancelled your order. We have also closed the account until we are able to verify the billing information. Please return the rental Kirby Star Allies immediately and let us know once they are in the mail." That's super aggressive, isn't it? I already know that they were able to verify my billing information, so that comment is just a flat-out lie. I had an immediate suspicion.

I checked back on their site, back to the Kirby page. Sure enough, they had bumped the keeping price to $37.99. How convenient. If I were able to sort things out with them, I guarantee I wouldn't get the price that brought me there in the first place. I found this extremely shady. Well, I won't be dealing with them any time soon. My recommendation is to just avoid this company altogether. Paying $16/mo. to rent one game at a time that you may or may not get that month? I was never going to take that path, but I feel sorry for anyone that does.

I was not able to win any race in the Grid racing game so I bought a steering wheel however l still unable to win any game even with the lowest difficulty settings that is probably because of the lag as well because that game sucks. Moreover more games are difficult to play because you can't adjust the settings for the controller. Even worse they taking back many good games and gives a new in their place. Other than that it's hugely overpriced. The games which works quite good but usually terribly boring. But most of the worse the difficulty settings makes you frustrated.

I have only had this service for a month, for the free trial period, but there has been nothing but issues. My first movie took over a week before they even attempted to send it out, even though I had plenty available in my queue. Then it took another week to receive it the third movie from my queue, even though the others showed full availability. I watched it within 1 day and sent it back. Another week went by, they still hadn't received it so I reported the issue and they sent me another movie a couple days later. It's been over a week and I have not received it yet and my free trial ends in a couple days. So for a month I've only been able to watch 1 movie. As a customer of GameFly for over 10 years now, I think I have a good idea of all of the pros and cons of the service. When I first signed up it was great. I'm not sure if it was because they had a low # of customers or they were putting more effort into it since it was a brand new company, but they really seem to have gotten worse as the years have gone by, in almost all facets. 6-10 years ago I would've rated GF 5/5 but as you can see now my opinion of them has diminished quite a bit from then.

Pros: The reason I signed up for GF in the first place still makes the service worth it, the value is still decent. I have the 2-game plan and to be able to have 2 games for about $25 per month, where games cost $60 individually, is hard to beat. You don't have to waste money buying a game that you don't like or that the developers released half developed (since us consumers have no idea that is how it will be) and that is happening much more often with games nowadays. The 1-game plan is $17 so that doesn't seem like a great value, but it is only about $7-8 per game more for up to 3 games out at a time, so you have that sort-of bundling/bulk discount.

The "Keep It" feature that allows you to purchase a game that you already have out is nice since it lets you keep a game that you decide you like and the price is slightly discounted. They also ship you the case, manual and any codes/promotions that may have come with the game so you don't really miss out on anything you would've purchasing it anywhere else.

Cons: The shipping/handling has gotten much worse. I used to be able to send a game back and have another one within 3-5 days every time. This has now turned to 5-10 days every time. They also mishandle games more frequently than they used to, losing games I've shipped back or I never receive the game and have to report it and delay my next game another 5-7 days.

The "Keep It" and game purchasing prices have gotten higher over the years, most likely at the hands of the developers and distributors, but is still slightly disappointing that GF couldn't have retained their lower prices through a contract or negotiations or something like that. They also used to let you purchase any game, where now they are selective with which games you can purchase (probably based on their stock of the game). With about 20 games in my queue right now, there are only 4 that I can purchase, where it used to be all 20.

Their customer service is not great either, again I feel like it used to be better, but I didn't used to have all of the problems that I have with them now so it's hard to say for sure. When I contact them about issues/problems they really don't seem to care, even if it is 100% a mistake on their part, I don't ever get a "Sorry" or any admission to fault, which is disappointing.

New games are very difficult to attain as well. Within a day or two of a game release, the game will already have Low to Very Low availability, which makes it almost impossible to get. They recommend to have your queue empty, but even with that you would have to ship a game back with perfect timing or have a slot empty at the date that game is released, basically wasting money. Keeping the queue empty is a terrible option to me anyways, as it is a really good tool for remembering games you didn't get to play and/or may want to rent/buy later as well as keeping track of game release dates and making sure you don't forget about a game coming soon.

I've been a member for just about two months (2/10/17 will be two months) and I've spent more time with games in a "transaction" mode than in my PS4. I live roughly 225 miles away from the Pittsburgh distribution center and it's about two weeks between sending a game back, and receiving my next game. There was also a time where in my "Q" I had a good 10 games and no games were sent to me even though many of them had high availability. The first 3 or 4 games did have low availability but nonetheless, nothing came.

I find if baffling that it takes a week to send a game 225 miles, but if I were to send a regular piece of mail, it would get there in a day or two. I fear it is Gamefly's process of receiving and distributing games that is the lag. Customer service provided me phone numbers for USPS to call to complain, but why is that my obligation? At $15.95/month, you can go to your local game rental outlet and rent for at least two weeks, if not more. I just remember in the old days renting via Netflix and Best Buy through the mail transactions happened much, much more quickly. If you can wait 1-2 weeks for the delivery, this is for you. If you want to rent more than one game so that you always had one, this may be for you. But given that customer service does nothing for you, I cannot recommend highly.

Let start out with saying Gamefly is amazing for the money if you do the math. You buy a new game for $65 just one game at a store. Now even their most expensive service is $30 a month for 3 games so if you do the math you paid $10 per game to rent and guess what if you get a game you don't like you return it for no charge and get the next one on your Q. If you're like me it's hard to find a game you really enjoy. So going to a store and trying to pick a game that's in budget and like is really difficult. Also if you find a game you like you can buy it at a discounted price.

Now the best part about Gamefly is they care if you stay as a customer. That store really cares. I had a issue this month were I couldn't pay my subscription so I had a choice: reduce my subscription or cancel altogether. Well... I decided to cancel and right at the end when I went to cancel Gamefly gave me a free month at the subscription I currently had so thank you Gamefly.
