    Held my Packages for Almost 4 weeks, Ask for additional information and money, which I eventually paid this freaking Agency, Still didn't release my package, call Everyday. "It's on Clearance." That is what I heard every time's, call again this morning. Another person gave me numbers to call. 877 2976031 EXT **. This Stupid and nuisance customer services, Started Screaming at me, am so upset.

    I have ordered all kind of things online and paid for 2 to 5 day delivery and DHL had always screwed up my shipping. Had stuff 4 hours away and shipped to a different state and had to order replacement.

    I ordered a music CD from CD Japan. The product was shipped on a 2 day service using DHL. I went online to DHL's website indicating it was a business delivery and the business closed at 4:30 pm. DHL attempted delivery at 8:24 pm but could not leave it as the place was closed. I did another delivery request, once more telling them it's a business and restated the business hours. It is now 4:15 pm and no sign of the courier. They say they may deliver at 5pm, but I can't trust that. I did get an email from them yesterday saying they were a few stops away, but they had come and gone before I got the email. I even requested text notifications, but that has proven useless. If I order from CD Japan again, I will pay more for FedEx as FedEx is far more reliable and pays attention to customer requests in my opinion.

    I had to pay customs duties that were not owed due to an incorrect shipping configuration. Communication was very difficult. I waited on the phone for 1 hour minutes without being able to speak to anyone. They ask me to email and then no timely responses through email. They demand to obey and go with their explanation but never hear my side. Worst customer service ever. Janet from CS team is rude, demanding and speaks inhumanely.

    A shipper sent me a package from France, and DHL lost it after telling me to wait for 90 days for custom clearance. Now DHL is refusing to refund, as my shipper kindly filed the claim and declined by DHL France due to 30 days past the shipping. DHL in US says not able to help me. I would avoid DHL as much as possible, since it is more like a lottery to receive your package with them.

    The charge they told me when I used on line system went up by over 30% in the final receipt. I used their standard pouch. They added something called 'dimensional weight' of 1.2 lbs to weight of 2 lbs that included the weight of the pouch! Made it over 3 lbs. What a ripoff!! I always thought dimensions were in inches or cm - never knew that they were in pounds!!!

    DHL has provided some packages on time and in good order, but the customer service can be infuriating. I recently received a damaged package from DHL and started a painful and fruitless customer service odyssey. I went from emailing the only human that communicated with me to calling customer service which eventually got me to the claims process. I spent considerable time putting together photos and other required information for the claim, waited two weeks and was informed that only the shipper can put in the claim (note: I'm in Canada and the shipper is in Spain). The shipper wasn't responsible for the damage, knew nothing about the claim and shouldn't receive any compensation for my damaged package.

    I then spent over a month emailing the shipper with claim details and follow ups only to be completely ignored resulting in a dead end despite doing everything DHL asked me to. DHL Canada refused to communicate with CBSA, DHL Spain or the shipper and just washed their hands with me so now I just have a damaged package. I guess I should just expect bureaucratic nonsense from a large company but that doesn't make me feel any better.

    The online service was not consistent. I need help with an online shipping estimate and creating a label. Telephone support, Valerie and Julia did not seem to care about helping me. They have per-written answers with no problem solving ideas. "Go to the website to for the information you need." The third person I spoke with, I think was Rachel. She helped me fill out the form and proceed to finish the label. The system asked for a payment card, however it notified me that I could not use a card for the purpose. Rachel explain that only cash was accepted for this country destination. Therefore I could not create the label online. I must go to the local DHL office with cash. She said the online discount would probably not apply, but to take the cost estimate with me to the office.

    Now I had to make a special trip to the bank for $300 cash for payment. I got to the DHL office and there is a big sign saying "we do not accept cash". AT the counter was a young gal, BRIANNA. She put me at ease immediately with her empathy, knowledge and efficiency. She took care of the label, the payment by credit card. The cost was less than the online estimate. She reassured me that DHL takes pride in its service and genuinely cares about their customers. Brianna was excellent. She turned my bad day into a good day. Thank you Brianna.

    Received notification of attempt of delivery. I heard no one, I went through our home camera and no DHL agent is shown attempting anything. Highly unprofessional to claim that they attempted delivery when no one came by. This is on top of already delays. Highly unprofessional.

    I had a few bad experiences with them in the past where they either didn't deliver or they said they will deliver but didn't deliver until I had a phone battle with them. I going through a bad one now with them. Every time they say they will deliver they don't. I keep getting their message that the delivery is on its way and then I get a message "sorry we missed you" which is their standard message when they don't deliver if the driver couldn't make it (they blame you). Now I am being told that I asked to return to sender (when I didn't) even though I am getting a message saying that they will deliver. DON'T USE. Very frustrating to deal with them. Their customer services will hang-up on you if they can't help you or if you are frustrated.

    3-8-23: I order my meds from Express Script, who uses DHL e-commerce as their courier. Usually delivers in 3-5 days. Except this time it's been stuck in DHL's Hebron, KY hub for the last 6 days. I was repeatedly told by customer svc rep I would need to contact Express Scripts to see how Express Scripts resolves issues per their policy. That's total nonsense. It's stuck in DHL's hub. There's nothing Express Script can do about that. DHL took no responsibility nor did they try to locate the item. It's DHL's problem.

    Message from Etsy about delivery from DHL. But tracking shows that package was four hours away at time claimed for delivery. By truck, we are at least nine hours from there. So delivery clearly could not have happened unless they hired an F-16.

    One would think that if you offer a 3 day guarantee and charge a premium for that service. that you would do what you can to get the package there quickly. Not if you are Purolator who uses DHL for international shipping. DO NOT BELIEVE they will get it there in 3 days. From the moment you check your parcel in the state 12-14 days minimum and then when you talk to an agent they have 100+ excuses why it's not their fault. The pair of them are useless and you should avoid paying the premium if you can.

    Four times in the last 3 months deliveries from them have been held and delivered way past the delivery date. In one instance the driver pulled into our driveway and pulled out without even getting out of the truck. I drove and caught up with him 1.5 miles away and got the package with no excuse from him. This company should NEVER be used by anyone. They are horrific.

    If I could go back and pay an extra HUNDRED dollars to use a carrier who will actually deliver I would do it over very differently. Be prepared to watch your packages sit in warehouses for weeks on end, and their "customer service" is a nonexistent joke. I literally can't wait to get my money back. This has been so ridiculous. They'll end up working for free through their own failure and it's honestly funny to me.

    Worst service I have ever dealt with. Useless customer service. Said my package was delivered 6 days ago. It was not. When I contacted them, they tell me they are going to figure it out. Every single day I get another email, extending the time they will get back to me. With the same information as the last email, which is none. I reply to emails and they just don't answer them but they for sure send another, different email (same words, extending the time to get a resolution) every day though. Seriously, don't use these clowns. I'm out about $200 and a birthday present for my 16 year old son. They also told me that I could not open an investigation into where my package is. Only the sender can do that.

    This delivery service is trash. They gave me a delivery date and when it did not show up they said the delivery date is incorrect and won’t be there until the 13th. Ordered product on the 3rd delivery date was the 9th and now they are saying the delivery date is now the 13th. The product left Dallas on the 6th… I live 2 hours from Dallas so why the delay… just trash ** service.

    I am not sure how DHL manages to stay in business with such a bad service. I was left waiting 45 minutes in the lobby expecting a parcel delivery per their notification, which never arrived. The notification system was delayed and inaccurate. Ultimately I received a message that delivery was attempted but not successful as nobody was available to hand over the parcel!? Utter lie! Based on the tracking map, the delivery van was not even close to the delivery point.

    Customer service "was not able to contact the driver". This is unbelievable! What other delivery service cannot contact their drivers? USPS, UPS, Fedex, Amazon and other delivery companies provide by far superior service compared to DHL Express. I wonder why would any business use DHL to deliver their products to customers. Such a bad service does not affect DHL customers but also those that deliver their products to buyers. From now on I shall buy products only from those sellers that does not use DHL for delivery.

    Received email my order was delivered and it wasn't. I called to find it, was told it was at the ecommerce division. Called there and she told me it was the previous division and then blamed the post office. She was RUDE and wouldn't bother to tell me where it was delivered. NEVER USE DHL.     I wasted my lunch break yesterday trying to drop off a package to this location, listed on DHL's own website as a DHL Service Point: PARTNER - QWIK PACK & SHIP 3350 Footbridge Lane Suite 124 28306 NC, FAYETTEVILLE. The man behind the counter there refused to ship my package, in spite of the fact there was even a DHL sign in his window. He insisted that I had to call DHL to schedule pickup.

    I called DHL to schedule pickup and was told someone would come between 10 AM and noon today. It's now 1 PM, no one has come, and I was forced to waste my lunch break for a second day in a row. This is the only time I can get out of the house during daylight hours to go for a run and handle my personal business, so I am extremely mad that the company has wasted this time for me two days in a row. DHL clearly does no value their customers' time, and I will never use this company to have anything shipped or delivered again. I also will not order from any company that uses them for shipping. They're terrible.

    This company has poor communication between actual reality and what it presents to its customers through their website tracking information. You as the customer may see what appears to be your package very close to its destination yet when you speak to the customer service rep you will find out the package actually has yet to even be picked up. Do not use this service if you are expecting a delivery in a timely fashion. I never would expect a company to lie to its customers that a package is further in the process than it really is.

    Renewed my passport that required a signature. Driver just left it in my carport. I received a minimum of 10 (stopped counting) requests from DHL on the tracking app to change to “no signature required”. Since it was a passport coming from New Zealand, a signature verifying it was delivered to the correct person was pretty important. Pathetic.

    Over the summer I was expecting a DHL package - I authorized delivery without signature. My package never arrived. I called DHL and they contacted the driver who said he left the package between my door and the storm door (I don't have storm doors). Since I authorized delivery without a signature they said there was nothing I could do.

    Now a second package is missing. It was supposed to be delivered Dec. 23. It was a gift for my mother so she stayed home all day to sign for the package, but it was never delivered. Customer service is closed all day today and only chat bots are churning out scripted responses, no live agents. Use any shipper other than DHL!

    DHL = Delivery Hopelessly Lost. This morning I stayed home waiting for an international package from DHL. I received a noticed that they attempted delivery at 10:39. I was home, and nobody delivered anything. I complained. They said they needed a code to get in the gate. Also untrue. Uph! I suggest using carrier pigeon or pony express before using DHL.

    !!!!DO NOT USE DHL!!!! Not sure why they have 3.5 stars here, TrustPilot with over 11K reviews DHL has one star. First of all, they will hold your package with crap excuses because they don't have the manpower to run the business, they get bottlenecked and put your package on hold with a dirty excuse. WORST OF ALL, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a live person on the phone or chat, simply because they don't have anyone to talk with customers, you get in a maze of bots and go no where. AVOID DHL BY ALL MEANS!

    I sent a box of Christmas presents from my home in Florida to my daughter in Ireland. The shipper used DHL for clearance and delivery in Ireland. I carefully wrapped the presents and packed the box, unaware that each item would be unwrapped at customs. Since I had room in the box, I sent stocking stuffers, some mail, and other little items of no real value. I was also unaware that each item would be itemized on the customs form, so each present was unwrapped, each item listed, and I paid 5 euros for each item after the first 5 items. Seventy euros - on top of the delivery fee, customs and taxes - just to itemize mail and chapsticks! When the box arrived at my daughter's home, it was unsealed and the items carelessly thrown in. It ruined my Christmas! DO NOT USE DHL!

    I recently ordered a ceramic mug with a picture of my 3 month old daughter for her grandpa’s Christmas gift. I received the Styrofoam box it came in with finger size holes at the top and when I opened it, the mug was badly chipped right on the picture. Very disappointed in the delivery driver’s error, they rush to get things out and it ruined the gift. Not sure I want to order from that company again because they use DHL only.

    Had an extremely frustrating experience with DHL. Package supposed to arrive Wednesday, they attempt to deliver at 7.00 pm at night. This is a place of business so there is no one to receive packages after 5.00 pm outside of business hours. So, I go online the next morning and schedule it specifically between 9.30 and 4.30pm for Friday. Wait all day for the delivery, and at 4.50 pm, still no package. Check the tracking and new delivery exception. Call them, they claim the premises can't be found. This is the same premises they found on Wednesday albeit when no one is there, no longer discoverable on Friday.

    So he gives me the "option" of waiting till 8.00 pm with no guarantees they will deliver and no way to contact them, and they can reattempt delivery and I can wait there on a wing and a prayer. Of course, I do not have a lot of faith in this driver. So I said no. Then they said, "We can reattempt delivery on Monday." And I said, "How do I know you won't face the same challenges? This is what isn't making sense to me. If you can't find the premises depending on the day of the week, how can I trust you to deliver on Monday." So he says, I can pickup from the depot. So that's what I went with.

    But that's not the end of the story, I get home and they have marked our address apparently as undeliverable because my supplier is sending a second package also unfortunately by DHL and lo and behold, the package that was going to be delivered is no longer. So I go and schedule the package for pickup, and it's 3 KM from the site. But it can't be delivered on the scheduled date anymore, I have to go one day later to pick it up. So two trips now for two packages, that simply should arrive at my door between 9.30am and 4.30pm during business hours. Apparently, this is too much to ask from DHL.

    I bought an expensive piece of furniture on Etsy. The shipper shipped with DHL express. It was supposed to be delivered last Friday. I had to buy them everyday, I wasted an incredible amount of time to get an item I paid a lot of money for. Every day they said it was expected to be delivered today. Very unreliable people. They said that it was kept in hold waiting for a driver. Evidently they don't have drivers in SC. Probably because they don't want to pay people fairly. Left alone all the countless times, before this last experience, I had to run after them, because unless you explicitly require the delivery without signature, you have to sign, which should be the other way round. Every time I have to Dela with DHL it's a pain in the back and I will do my best to avoid this company in the future. On top of being very unprofessional, it costs A LOT of money

    Please if you want to keep your sanity intact stay far away from this company. We used Dhl Express for a work Id that was left behind in London so it was at most important to get it back to Toronto. First issue we had with them was they wanted us to pay duty and tax charges for a piece of Id which is mind-boggling because it’s not goods that we purchased but it was something that was left behind by accident. Mind you, the package didn’t leave their facilities in London which also means it didn’t go through Customs here in Canada but yet they expect you pay (Scammers). The second time they held the package was they needed an Id from the sender (something about Interpol wanted list) we also provide the document on a timely manner which then they advised me it would start moving within five hours, but I found out later that it was held for days in their facilities in London.

    I thought I would receive the package earlier than the promised date but as of now forget about past delivery date I don’t even know where my item is! This experience was energy, time and money (missed days of work due to Id) consuming. Every time I spoke to one of their agents I was lied to and was giving false hope. This truly stressed me out and I will never ever use DHL again.

    My son ordered 3 items of clothing from MNML on the 6th of November and selected the pay duty and taxes upon delivery. The company delivering his package is DHL. He received an email yesterday morning stating in a very aggressive manner I might add, stating that my son owes them $150 for his package being in their possession for a time period which they failed to say how long for. The items haven't even left L.A. which is where they are coming from so to my assumption it has not passed through customs which means there should not be duty charges or possibly tax charges yet.

    They are charging him for holding his package which makes absolutely no sense at all, are they not a delivery company did my so delay them some way, no, he did not, this is of their own actions. So why the $150 fee, as far as I can tell is they trying to shake down a minor for $150 like a common bully. It's unbelievable the way this company operates, I have had negative experiences myself with them through my Amazon orders that never showed up just a week prior to this. So it's not a one-time mistake, its continues as I have read others complaints about them on here. I plan to deal with this ASAP and find out why they are charging my son for their job.

    My order has arrived. Gave 3 ✨ because my order never should have went the opposite direction at one point and the items was placed in my mailbox not on my deck near my door. It's $42.. There are plenty enough trucks to load packages for different directions to prevent them from going a different direction before the owner's direction. And lastly anything $40 or more should be placed near the owner's home door not a mailbox near the road to be stolen easily by others....

    Do not use DHL to ship internationally; especially do not send any electronics to Latin America. Customs will charge exorbitant amounts to clear item, which is unaffordable to many people. This should be stated upfront to all customers. Do NOT send electronics through DHL to Latin America. I sent a used cellphone (worth $100) to Colombia to a struggling university student. Customs wanted over $300 to release the phone. We spent $200 to ship it there. I asked for the phone to be returned. DHL stated they could not do this. I asked for refund and it was denied. I appealed and was sent an email by David ** in return stating "it is not our fault that the receiver didn't want to pay the duties and taxes". The reason we were gifting this phone is because the student cannot afford to buy one. This comment was judgmental and unprofessional.

    I called to speak to his supervisor and was told she would call me back. She never called. I called again and she was out of the office. When I finally got a hold of her, she stated no, she didn't return my call because she asked someone else to take care of it...who never contacted me. Bottom line; DHL is not professional, not reliable and not recommended.

    It took 2 days from Northern England to Dallas then took 4 days, and 4 promised deliveries to get the next 10 miles. Twice said my address was not accessible on the same day UPS, Fed Ex, and Amazon made deliveries. Then told me on the same day they had 2 much business that day—hostile and unhelpful customer service who repeatedly lied. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY AGAIN THAT USES DHL

    I WOULD RATHER GET MY PACKAGE DELIVERED BY HORSE OR OWL AT THIS POINT (may swim to Germany). It has not been delivered yet and I have no faith it will. Terrible customer service and website. DO NOT USE SERVICE! The status of whatever you need to track is so vague, I have to Google what the status might mean.... and it gives me a host of possibilities. TO BE CLEAR - I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY PACKAGE YET. IT WAS RUSH DELIVERED AND I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 3.5 WEEKS.

    Secondly, the customer service is ** brutal. The website is like getting stuck in the desert.... It would probably suck and you are delirious, thirsty and tired the entire time. I try to track my package and it gives me a customer service # that goes straight to a robot voice and no one to speak with. I genuinely have no idea how this company operates because then they give your package to another 'Express Service Point'.... and I am assuming.... By that time when those places have your package, I will probably have to finish a quest, save the world and pay $79.99 to get my package for whatever fake fee they make up. In summary, I am thinking of taking 2 weeks off work and swimming to Germany to speak with the owner of this company so he/she can stop hurting people via this delivery company. I think the best thing out of this would be visiting Germany and maybe getting my package. P.S. If it wasn't clear, I still do not have my package. Love, Josh

    Package shipped via DHL. So far, 3 "attempts" to deliver package. First time, "incorrect address"; complete address was not applied to waybill even though it was provided correctly by Paypal. Second time, delivery "failed". Upon checking with customer service, I was told there was a "problem with truck". Third time delivery failed I was told it was because of "courier overload". I still do not have package and it is holding up my work. I rate DHL as an "avoid" business and I will likely not do future business with the company I ordered from if they insist on using DHL.

    DHL never and I mean NEVER deliver on time. Don't purchase something if you have an event and need the items because they are guaranteed to be late if delivered at all. I have discontinued purchasing from a company that I absolutely love because they utilize DHL. Bad business all around when dealing with DHL.

    I would give 0 stars if I was allowed. Any companies that use them I will no longer order from. I ordered a present at the beginning of the month and here we are at the end of the month and it is ping ponging from NJ to Ohio then Illinois. Guess what, it is supposed to be delivered in PA!!! Call to speak to someone, give tracking number and because he could not be bothered to listen the first time asked me if I was still there then asked me to repeat it. I start to repeat and he hung up on me. So I call back and get another person who proceeds to tell me that it is not DHL's fault that it is USPS, ummmm no the tracking information that I am looking at is DHL site. It was also extremely difficult to understand their customer service representatives. This is the second time this has happened with DHL, the other time it took the package over a month to get to me from California. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.

    My $65 eyeshadow palette was shipped on the 6th of this month. Today's the 22nd and GUESS WHAT? Oh you're not going to believe this! It has been ping ponging from Portland to Dallas where I DON'T LIVE. It's been going back and forth between the 2 cities 4 TIMES and counting! I can't even believe how awful this company is. How do they get away with it? I contacted the company I bought the palette from and they are sending me a new one, but I am scared to death they're going to use DHL again. These idiots need to be stopped, this is absolutely the most horrible shipping company. If you have the option of using a different shipping service, go with THEM and NOT DHL. You'll be sorry if you do. Trust me.

    The mail order prescription drug company I order all my medications through uses DHL for delivery. Not only have they put myexpensive and necessary medications in someone else's mailbox (so I had to report it as lost, but the nice neighbor later delivered it to me himself), but it TAKES FOREVER. I look at the tracking, and it sits there in the local DHL warehouse for 3 days before it even starts moving. Whatever their problem is, it has become MY problem. I would never ever choose to use them and have asked my drug company to switch to a more reliable carrier.

    I purchased a $1,000 watch online. I have had to call 4 times so far and send 3 emails just to supply them with the Watch / Clock Worksheet they requested. The seller of the watch is a watch dealer and provided them a Watch / Clock Worksheet but they also wanted the same form from me. After all that was over (8 days later) now they emailed me to tell me I need to pay tax/duty. But there is no way of doing that on their website, so I had to call them again! After getting transferred to 2 people they tell me it is going through clearance and they do not know if anything is due. What a waste of time dealing with these idiots! Unbelievable. I would never buy any product from outside the USA if it will be shipped through DHL. Stay away from them!! The worst experience ever!!!

    Please don’t use DHL for delivery. I was supposed to get a delivery to a business. They claimed to deliver to businesses before 5pm. They come after 7pm when I been calling to ask for the package to be deliver by 4pm. Everyone apologizes, ignore and don’t deliver the package. Then they send a note refused package.

    Worst delivery service ever! The people there just not care! They do anything that they can go faster even if this is bad for the customers.

    1. I waited home the whole day and then I just found a paper that they was there. No one is ringed the bell. Just left a paper and leave.

    2. I was not home and they said I refused the package. Just that they do not need to deliver again. I guess because we filed an official complaint about the delivery guy.

    Try to avoid DHL if you can, the delivery sucks and customer service is just a puppet because they can not help in any matters and they no right to change anything. Or do something helpful.

    I have had the unfortunate situation of having to ship with them on 3 occasions. All 3 have ended up the same way... Terrible!!!! Do not ever pay for expedited services!!!! They could care less if or when the package shows up, no matter how time sensitive it may be. Save yourself headaches and the aggravation and you another carrier!!!

    Ordered a time-sensitive parcel and paid extra for expedited shipping. It was supposed to be a 3-day expedited delivery but it's been 5 days since it was supposed to arrive. The item has been marked on hold with no further information on why. This is unacceptable considering the expected delivery I was given. When I called customers service, I was asked why my item was time sensitive. It shouldn't matter why. I paid to have it in 3 days and to act like it's not important enough to be received in 3 days is ridiculous. Worst courier service.

    Utterly disgusted and irate at the lack of care shown by DHL when delivering my parcel. If I could give zero stars on this review, I would. On Monday 4/7/22 my parcel ($2500 Coat) was delivered to the wrong address in Potts Point. Some lowlife at the wrong address signed for my coat and stole it! DHL Delivery Receipt showing name and signature of the thief is attached. I have been informed that DHL outsources deliveries to third-party couriers. My coat was delivered by a third-party courier who obviously didn't check for correct delivery address nor the ID of the receiver!

    Zero accountability shown by rude and dismissive DHL Customer Care staff who keep giving me lies and the runaround. I have been informed that the courier who delivered my parcel only works on Monday. Apparently, I have to wait until next Monday 11/7/22 to allow the courier to attempt a retrieval and redelivery - really?!?!!! Failing that, I will be offered reimbursement or replacement from the shipper. I cannot receive a replacement coat as my coat has sold out completely.

    The shipper specifically went with DHL and with the signing option since it was an expensive product, but DHL simply took a picture of delivered product and left it on the doorstep as proof, ready for anyone to steal it. The person did not ask for signature and had simply dropped it off and gone. Luckily we were home and heard the courier and found the package sitting outside. I highly do not recommend using DHL if you need signature for deliveries.

    A small package of a personal item that was sent by DHL cost me an extra £400 on top of £35 due to unexpected fees. DHL advised incorrectly on shipping regulations and cost me a lot of money. When trying to get any help, DHL were useless and unfriendly. The extra £400 was their mistake however they did not accept their own responsibility, neither do they accept responsibility for ANY LOSSES. They only care about their business accounts. If you are an individual looking to use their shipping services, I’d strongly recommend to look elsewhere and AVOID DHL at all costs.

    I sent a document to my wife from NY to Chile, it usually takes 2 to 3 days and usually costs me a little over 50$, USPS costs less and takes 5 days to deliver, I was surprised this year and last year it costs over 100$ to send a document to chile from New York and I'm still waiting it to arrive after 6 days from the day I sent it!     DHL Express was my choice to ship a box to Trinidad W.I. After going to their site and filling out the relevant forms, I scheduled a pick-up. The courier came at the designated time, however within hours I received a notice that the package was being returned the next day. I called customer service who said it was a customs issue at the destination country as some of the items were prohibited. An official letter came inside the returned box stating that perfume, and 2 toy chemistry/microscope sets were flagged. Additionally the chemistry sets needed to have a safety form attached.

    After all the required documentation was completed and perfume bottles were removed in compliance with what was reported and requested, I again scheduled a pick-up. This time the package was 'held' for 2 days then returned to my house for the 2nd time. I again called DHL customer service to ask what was the problem this time. The agent on the other end of the line was rude, and completely unhelpful. He even went so far as to present me with options that didn't apply to my situation. When I told him that his options weren't helpful, he then deferred to ask if I read the company's terms of service since mu situation was a "common one". I asked if U.S. customs always took all original documentation without returning them to the shipper, and instead of giving me a direct answer he kept referring to the user terms of service.

    If I was in compliance based on what happened the first time why was my package returned?! A letter came 2 days later stating that perfume bottles were in the box (they were all removed after the first return), and the "safety data sheets" were missing for the chemistry sets (I personally handed those to the pick-up courier). Finally to add insult to injury, I received an email 3 days later from DHL explaining that they have to comply with U.S. Customs, and included an information form for all items shipped. THIS FORM WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND ON THEIR SHIPPING WEBSITE! I will not endorse the usage of DHL for any type of international shipping, and their customer service representatives need formal training to deal with the public and their concerns, instead of giving 'cookie-cutter' answers and deferring to 'terms of use' when they themselves have not reviewed them!

    Horrible experience! I was on vacation in London and Paris. I bought some things for my husband and kids in both places. I sent the first box from London to Denver, when we go see the tracking information it says that it is in customs. We called multiple times to DHL and every time we call, they will tell us something different. The last thing they said was that customs was holding our package. Called the Cincinnati HUB and spoke with an officer, she told me and my husband that they are NOT holding any packages. While on the phone with the agent, my husband had a DHL agent on the line. The agent asked the DHL agent to refresh her page and she told the agent she was not able to do that. The customs agent told the DHL employee that customs is not holding any packages. The DHL representative said she has to call to confirm the information.

    According to DHL, the second package cleared customs and is going to be delivered June 1st. Guess what? According to their website the package was held in customs as well. Called customs again and NONE of my packages are on hold by customs, but DHL wants to send them back to London and France. Every time a representative says that they will escalate the issue and that somebody will call us back within 2 hours, nobody calls or contact us. As of today nobody has helped us get our packages. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! STAY AWAY FROM DHL! Their customer service is terrible and their logistics don't work.

    My delivery status said it was delivered a day before the scheduled delivery date. Only to find out my package was signed by someone else. Called DHL numerous times and the story changed every time I called. My event is going on and I still don’t have my package. No outfit to wear. DHL can’t tell me where my package is. Spoke to Jennifer ** and whatever she said made no sense to me. Too many conflicting stories. Will definitely NOT use this company ever again.     Pay extra to avoid DHL. Three of four packages delayed more than a week, while I get a ** auto text stating I wasn’t home to sign (even though DHL confirmed signature release). Slow speed of shipping is understandable due to international movements and customs. The bad part is they will straight lie to you about delivery attempts and customer service does not help. From now on I will pay a little extra to avoid DHL services.

    Company was chosen for me to deliver a package that I bought from a different company. So, my product's company chose DHL to deliver my very expensive (over 60 dollars) package for a friend. After taxing me over 25 dollars they autofilled the incorrect address and sent my package to the wrong place. After filing FOUR claims with them I got a response that they wouldn't be reimbursing me because my package was a gift, so the name on the package was different from mine, even though I sent them all of my purchase receipts as the person who holds the account all of the funds came out of.

    After arguing with their like. Top dog customer dispute person for multiple days about how that is a ridiculous reason why I can't get my 96+ CAD back that I lost because someone wasn't paying attention, they started completely ignoring me and refuse to return emails. Their phone line, of course, is run only by automated voice messages and the last time I tried to file ANOTHER claim on their website it said the service was down ":(". Screw this delivery company; it's literally genuine theft.

    We shipped 2 packages from Spain, 1 arrived and the other was held in Spain. After 2 weeks of calling and wasting hours trying to get information on our package I was told it didn't ship because it had 'dangerous goods'. Nobody could tell me what the dangerous goods were. Another week of calling and online chat with no resolution and no accurate information and no guidance. Finally someone told me it was an aerosol can and I should write a letter giving permission to remove the aerosol can. I did, thinking that would resolve the issue and my package would ship.

    Two more weeks have passed and I'm still getting misinformation, and no resolution. I've been emailing the person 'in charge' of my case. Apparently her job is to deflect people in the hope that they'll go away. Every day for the last month I've gotten a text saying 'we're still working diligently to resolve this'. This is ** and at this point I've decided to file a claim which I anticipate more of the same treatment. This company is horrible, I don't recommend them for nothing. Another corporation that has numerous firewalls in place to frustrate you and keep your money when their service fails.

    The text that my parcel was delivered came and I was at home and rushed downstairs to get it - NO parcel, No nothing. I had not heard the gate open (as I always do) and knew nobody had in fact delivered the parcel. The worst thing - the UK phone number is circular - no human and cut off - the UK chat service is circular and goes nowhere over and over again - the email is banked up so no response after days. No item and £30 out of pocket. Avoid and only get signed delivery if forced to.

    DHL has had my parcel for well over a week, yet they won't deliver it, even though I have been promised that it would be delivered every day since it arrived in their warehouse. All payments have been made, I have the receipt. They won't tell me why it's not getting delivered. They won't give me any explanations whatsoever. It's impossible to talk to a human, so I have been corresponding via live chat. They just say sorry for the inconvenience and that the parcel will arrive by 5 pm. This has happened EVERY day and it still has not arrived. Now they are running a trace on the package, so I have to assume they lost it and won't admit it. Terrible, terrible customer service.

    DHL - the most Dumb Horrible Lousy courier service company in India. Never ever try this. They are burning your pocket while you book through them and then they make you cry to delivery your consignment. Our parcel was booked from Germany to Hyderabad India. At Bangalore airport on the name of KYC they ask TONS of documents - every time!!!!

    After custom clearance of 7 days it is still not delivered to Hyderabad. While I contacted them - sorry for inconvenience, apology etc. Standard answer. While I wrote a strong email then today they called me and again, "Sorry for inconvenience and we are unable to reach out to our partner Bluedart"!!!! Can you believe this? They told they have no contact number of Hyderabad service area, via email they are escalating the issue and ensure the delivery!!! Which world are they living??? Just making people FOOL and PLAYING GAMES. I hope Vikas Anand - MD of DHL India - this review reaches and teaches the lesson to their bunch of Monkeys working with DHL India.

    DHL is easily the worst delivery service. For two different packages I placed a vacation hold, got email confirmation that the packages would not be delivered until a certain date. Both times I received a message that the packages were out for delivery early, despite the vacation hold, and contacted customer service, and both times customer service assured me the packages would not be delivered until the agreed-upon date. The vacation hold was ignored both times and the packages were delivered early. One package was delivered 9 days early, the other was delivered a week early. After the package was delivered I contacted customer service yet again and the response was rude and unhelpful. There is nothing positive I can say about DHL. Incompetent and terrible customer service. If you have a choice in delivery companies, choose literally anyone else.

    I did not think it was possible for a delivery company to be this slow. USPS is faster and has a lot more to deliver. Customer service is horrible. Puts blame on the seller for not selecting a more expensive shipping option to send your package. Tell you to contact the seller about delays. Which of course makes no sense since they gave the package to DHL. Package has been sitting in limbo for a week. Sent an email and of course got the runaround. It was given to DHL and they were supposed to hand it off to USPS. Well USPS hasn't gotten it yet for whatever reason. The seller is asking me to be patient before I ask for a refund. Good job DHL! Screwing over sellers and buyers. I will advise the seller not to use you guys anymore.

    I recently received two packages that were delivered by DHL, both of those two packages were required signature, but DHL just dropped the package on the porch without even bother to ring the doorbell. All other couriers are at least ring the doorbell to let you know package is there but not DHL. I just wrote to the merchant that I will not buy from them again if they still use DHL for delivery. How difficult is to ring the doorbell? It just unbelievable. Customers pay for the signature confirmation and woant DHL to honor that.

    This shipping company has got to be hands down the worst one. My motor parts had to come from the US and DHL was the only company that would handle freight for cheap, honestly worse decision. Pay the extra and get FedEx or UPS! It took forever to get the package (3 weeks) all because of their horrible customer service. You can’t call them because they don’t answer their phones and they never return their calls. Only way to get ahold of them is E-Mail or Live Chat on their website. E-mails took 24hrs each time to return a message. Customs and Duty is a joke there as well, if everything isn’t just so on your paperwork (country of origin, currency) you are going to run into big problems that are a pain to deal with because there customer service.

    I eventually got my package but took me 3 weeks of messing around. If you're not on them about your whereabouts of your package I’m sure it would take even longer to get! Also my package came damaged, their careless forklift driver drove the forks into my engine parts and hit the most important pieces ($700 forged Wiseco pistons). I’m now going to be in contact with DHL to replace my damaged parts which I already know will be a nightmare! NEVER USING DHL SHIPPING EVER AGAIN AND I'LL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER USE IT!

    Your customer service is the worst service I have ever encountered!! First off we was told our package would be here on March 22!! It was delayed due to weather!!! We didn't have bad weather, but was assured that it would be here the following day, they 23rd. At noon I called to see when it was to arrive. I was told it wasnt arriving, but I could go pick it. I drove 114 miles to be told it wasn't there. But again was guaranteed it would be here on the 24th! We have been lied to so many times. For the last 48 hours, I have called to talk to a supervisor and so has my husband. We was both told they would return our call within 2 hours!!

    Our supplier in China send a package via DHL. Immediately we have arranged for our customs broker to handle the customs. For this reason the required forms were filled in the DHL a week before the parcel arrived to Canada. We called to find out - simple question- if the DHL received those forms. Hours of waiting for customer service, when they transfer you to the their customs brokerage department - so we couldn't get any answer - no one knows and they promise to call back. Now, the package is stuck in customs, because they didn't provide a required information to our broker. Again: waiting and waiting and no answer - you got to hire a full time person just to deal with the DHL - we are small business, and it draws resources and time crazy from our company, to deal with DHL.

    We tried to open an account in DHL earlier, but the same package costed us several times more, and also - you need to handle two DHL accounts - one general, and one is in case you need to make a payment - total mess, not user friendly, complicated and time wasting for simple shipment. I was once of a good opinion of DHL, but dealing with them on the business side - became a nightmare.

    I send a mail on February 9, 2022 containing my son's passport, birth certificate and all his immigration documents. On the 10th, the mail was on hold at Cincinnati Hub. I called they said they are waiting for the flight. Few days later, the mail was still on hold. I called back they said they could not find the mail and they open investigation.

    On the March 8, I received a text message saying the mail is lost I have to fill a claim. My son missed his visa interview appointment twice. Customer service is unprofessional. To redo my son passport and birth certificate I have to travel abroad. Do you think DHL will pay my flight ticket and accommodation there? Are they gone pay my bill here. I am so disappointed. My son is 11 years old. How can you do that for a mum and son? Do you think mail can fly or walk? Is somebody just put my mail in the trash? I have been crying since February 10. I wish the I went to drop my mail at DHL never exist in the calendar. I wish I could rate 0 star.

    Horrible experience with DHL, they dropped my package at a Post office 142 miles from where I live and then needed me to fix a typo in my address, I updated my address with them over the phone and they have since lost my package. I have called EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK and every person I talked to says they are going to get to the bottom of it and find out where it is and call me back and I haven’t gotten one call back. 0 out of 10 do not recommend DHL! If you need to resolve anything with them get the name and extension of the person you deal with so you can at least hold someone accountable for not following through on ANYTHING they say to you.

Will never use and wish more warnings on reviews is search their user agreement just to check tracking. They sell your info and now requiring social security numbers should be illegal.     I am very frustrated by DHL Express delivery that after providing address 2 times they kept saying incorrect street address. It is a standard US address where I receive mails from USPS, UPS, FedEx and what not except DHL can't find it for some reason. Talking to help desk gives no resolution why they can't find an address which all maps are showing correctly or other vendors can deliver. Only options I have is to go and collect 25 miles away from their office. I will never use DHL. Very poor service and unreasonable.

    I was trying to arrange a pick up. I called the customer service and they said that I will receive the documents within 1 min to 10 min. Never received the documents. I called again. I got bounced from one customer service agent to another. I was on the call for 45 minutes on every call. It was disconnected twice while I was waiting. The agent told me to call technical services to understand why I was not receiving the emails. Finally, when I called the technical services, he told me that the customer service recorded my email address incorrectly. I confirmed my email address with every one of the customer service agent but none of them were probably paying attention. None of the customer service agents spoke understandable English. I think the customer service seemed to have been outsourced to a non-English speaking country. After 2 hours on the call, I reverted to good old FedEx to get the label.

    If I could have chosen 0 stars I would have. Worst company ever! I called 20 TIMES in 4 days. I was lied to, told incorrect and incomplete information. We have 1 pkg coming from overseas and DHL did nothing to help me each time I called. I was hung up on, never got calls back from supposed "supervisors" and still do not have a package.     They currently have 3 of my packages hostage after making no honest attempts to deliver. I live in an apartment building so need a phone call to let in the courier, but I have not received any calls and the attempts keep occurring when I am home.     Horrible service. I ordered a tablet from a company that used DHL as their shipping service. Estimated to arrive Monday, no show, estimated to arrive Tuesday, "driver was unsuccessful". Contacted customer support, hung up on me, finally to connected with a live chat and gave the driver very specific instructions. FINALLY I got my package Wednesday. I ended up needing to return it, the whole cycle started over again, they are supposed to come pick up the package from me but have been no showing since Monday, it's now Wednesday and they came an hour early when I was unavailable (I had previously set my available times but that means nothing I suppose). My package is still no shipped back, never using this service again. I suggest you avoid it at all costs.

    First I would like to start off by saying that I have used many delivery/courier services such as Fedex and U.P.S and have never had a problem with both those services. DHL on the other hand is just plain horrible in every department: Customer service, Delivery, EVERYTHING. I ordered a package from them recently and they said it was coming today and I happen to have the day off so I thought what perfect timing? At the last minute (around 5pm) I get a text saying that I put in the wrong address.

    I checked the address just to be sure, it was all correct. So I call customer service, and it was almost impossible how to navigate to talk to an agent or a live person. When I finally did they were of no help and told me they would get a hold of the driver attempt another delivery. This was all lip service as my package has yet to arrive. Before this, I bought a package that was 3 weeks late. DHL is just the worst business ever. Both times I had to pay substantially high duty for a shirt! I implore everyone to boycott this company and ask in advance to the retailers what form of delivery/courier service they use and if it's DHL, place your business somewhere else. "DHL. We don't care and it shows."

    This company is terrible. 4 of my last 4 deliveries have been late, they text you saying out for delivery but DON'T show up, when they do show up they're rude and REFUSE to listen, the lady's knocking on door, I tell her from shower to leave package but she stands there like she can't hear, cameras watched her. They walk on my grass and talk to me like they're "keeper of my package" with unusual verification questions for a package sent from Amazon that didn't need verification.

    For the past 3 weeks I have been waiting for an express delivery from overseas. The delivery is now two weeks late, with no delivery date in sight. The shipment had been tied up in Canadian customs because the supplier sent my personal order on a commercial invoice. It is impossible to connect with a live agent a DHL. If there is a problem, you are on your own to solve it. I sent more than one email explaining that the shipment was not a commercial transaction, but DHL seemed incapable of understanding why I would have automotive parts shipped directly to the shop that was going to install them. DHL did not cause the origin confusion, but they don't seem capable of solving it. I should have declined their Brokerage service, and dealt directly with Canada customs.

    I’ve paid 20 for express shipping for my son’s package and my package was supposed to be delivered December 30th. I waited outside just for representatives to tell me, "Oh the carrier didn’t have space in the truck." Just unbelievable and on top of that somebody else said I’ll get the package on Monday.     An order from Harrods was to be delivered before Christmas, I tracked it consistently and when it said delivered I was shocked to see an image that was NOT my door. I live in a complex with multiple buildings. Each building has its own address. And each building has the same condo door numbers but in different numbered buildings so yes they delivered to the right numbered door but NOT at the RIGHT address. So the door looked very different. My door had a different pattern carved in the door. The locks on the door looked different. The door number was in a different location. There was a ring doorbell on my door and NOT the door they delivered to. I sent them a photo of the door they posted as delivered to and my door explaining the difference. I kept receiving those cut and paste emails about they were researching it. And each time I replied with the images of the wrong door they deliver to and my door.

    Finally they came back with the investigation that they had delivered to the correct address. HOW ODD. Were they BLIND. So I had to investigate myself. There are 197 units in this grouping of different building numbers. So I had my walking shoes on. Two buildings up from my building at the WRONG ADDRESS I found the door they had snapped in their original proof of delivery. The occupant did have the package and from the way they reacted was probably going to keep it. To make matters worse for the horrible DHL delivery service not only could they NOT read the proper property address, they could not read the instructions I had placed on the original delivery from #Harrods .The instructions stated it was a back building not a front building. They delivered to a front building at the wrong address. Then they lied about it. Never use DHL, they have a bad reputation for a reason. User's recommendation: Never use DHL.

Lying to me everyday saying it's out for delivery but it never gets delivered. They keep telling to monitor my shipment online however they do not update the status so it continues to just say it's on hold. At this point I am pretty sure my item was stolen at it's a high value item. Waiting until after the long weekend to request a refund from the vendor. Complete nightmare to deal with.     DHL was supposed to pick up our luggage for shipment to our cruise ship. We had contracted Luggage Forward for this service, but they (unfortunately) chose DHL as the courier to use for pick up. They were supposed to pick up our luggage between 1 and 3 pm. We were specifically told to have it ready and waiting by noon that day. At 5 pm they had still not come by to pick up our luggage. We called DHL and were told that the driver was out for pick up but they had no way to reach him to find out where he was. Really? You are a courier company and you have no way to track where your drivers are? You expect customers to trust where our shipments are? Seriously?

    By 9 pm they had still not come to pick up our luggage. We talked to Luggage Forward who also had no clue where DHL was, but offered to reschedule the pick up to the next day. HOWEVER they did indicate to us that they could not guarantee pick up or delivery due to COVID (the excuse of the decade and for years to come), labour shortages, and supply chain issues. I am surprised they didn't blame us. We promptly cancelled our luggage forward services as we just cannot trust a Company that uses DHL for its shipment services.

    I had an order that was being delivered by DHL to my place of employment. I got several emails asking if I would like to opt out of signed delivery, which I did not. I got an email that said my package had been delivered on 12/7/21. I had surgery the day before and wasn’t even there to sign for it. I emailed DHL customer service and asked them to show proof of delivery, but no one responded. I finally got hold of a live agent, who said it had not been signed for and she sent me a picture of where it had been left. Thanks to the picture I was able to find it.

    The kicker is that instead of going in the front door and handing the package to our receptionist, the delivery person decided to drive through a gate and went to the back of our building and left it in our warehouse that is never attended. I finally found the package sitting in the back behind several things that I had to move to even get to it. This could have had a bad ending, but it didn’t. This cost me a couple of hours of work time to untangle the chaos the delivery driver created.

    90% of the time I pay the extra shipping to get it faster. And everytime that it is DHL they get the item, then it sits in their possession for several days, and literally everytime they pass it off to USPS for delivery...last time I ordered something that dhl was involved with, estimated delivery was 7-10 days...at about the 21 day mark I get notified it was given to USPS to deliver...and this time was estimated to be delivered on the 13th...ordered on the 4th...and it has shown for 4 days that it is being handed over to usps who has still not received it....and to make it worse, I discovered the warehouse it was shipped from is only 1.5 hours away from me, so why should it take over 2 weeks to receive item. I'm very annoyed and extremely dissatisfied with business practices of dhl. In my opinion a waste of time and money.

    All the time you requested (even before they actually delivered) to have a certain date to deliver for delivery, they would come on the wrong days! What the hell with this!! Not listening to customer, so why bother having option to change date of delivery as an option?? Then dumped the parcel to Star Trek. (another useless courier). I did complain, excuses were they were busy so need to dump to Star Trek!

    I ordered a $200 birthday gift for my sister on November 26th, it was out for on the 29th, to be delivered to a business address. The long and short of it is I spoke to nine, yes NINE, different customer service representatives, telling them there was hours that it to be delivered between, which was ignored three times. Finally, on the eighth try, they agreed to let me pick up my package at a nearby depot - which they weren't initially going to allow because it's a high-dollar item - on that same day and then I was informed that I would be updated on the status of my package the following day. I got in touch with my ninth representative. I literally had to threaten to get the police involved for theft for them to get my package out for delivery when they had already said they would NINE times. I've had problems with DHL previously, too; they tried to leave a brand new laptop in the snow on the side of the road and call it delivered. AVOID DHL AT ALL COSTS!

My order was supposed to deliver on 6 December and they are so unprofessional and lies they lie that I was not at home to receive my order even though I stayed home and waited all day and then when I called customer service they are like, "Yeah they are going to deliver before 9 pm so don't sleep and wait for it."     Awful service. I hate DHL, the service experience is terrible. Their website is not up-to-date. My order has been in an 'Ontario Facility' since Nov 13. Yesterday, Dec 6, it moved to 'on-hold-awaiting payment. I had to call two different numbers to try and pay the duty. When I called the number provided by DHL in the original recording, the customer service agent said I couldn't pay that way and she would email me a link. That link has not arrived! Honestly, save yourself the hassle and use FedEx or Purolator. DHL is a terrible shipping company.

    I do not recommend using DHLExpress for use in Canada. The tracking system in Canada is purposely vague such that you cannot know the real status of your shipment. This started with Customs Clearance in which I could not understand if the shipment had cleared or not and they don’t give the city of the province for the sorting facilities. I called and was told we had duty and taxes assessed and had to pay on-line. I was APPARENTLY charged GST & PST plus a DHL processing fee. My shipment was olive oil and I don’t believe either government charges tax on food. The invoice I received was printed to look like it came from Customs but it was printed by DHL and I didn’t get any invoice from Canada Customs. I believe all these charges are for DHL only. It is a scam.

    I called DHL about my shipment several times to follow up on where was my package. I was given to a “shipping specialist” who got back to me saying he would tell Operations to “take care” and he then closed the file. When calling again I was given a case number and the assigned “shipping specialist” said the package will be sent by air on Wednesday to Kelowna from Burnaby. This was on Monday Nov 22, 2021 at 11:47 am. I later got a notification that the package was received in Kelowna at 09:15 on that same Monday. This shows that the “specialist” didn’t follow up with anyone and didn’t even check the status. Finally, I noticed that the shipment tracking system was heavily edited AFTER I received my package to cover up the unacceptable delays. It was a terrible experience. Never again will I use DHL.

    DHL picked up a big box package from my house on 1/12/2021 at 1:42pm. I have a video to prove the pick up. DHL lost the package. They first claimed there was no such pick up. And then they said they did found a separate system to confirm the pick up. But they said there was no AWB scanned. So, the AWB # did not exist for DHL to trace and track. They said I sent the package via an agent and therefore an "assignment of rights" is required. I sent it to them, they declined my claim because I am not the agent. The agent filed a claim and they also declined stating "DHL has no record of the.... waybill in any DHL system". I made the complaint all the way up to the DHL Office of the President, but was sent back to the claim department.

    I made the complaint via BBB.org. Same person from DHL Office of the President finally replied stating that "our records show that shipment in question was picked up on Jan 21, 2021 as the customer stated but unfortunately there was a malfunction with the courier's scanner and visibility on the shipment was lost. The local DHL Management Team exhausted all means to locate the shipment and it was declared lost. The status of any claim filed by the shipping service with DHL is a separate matter unrelated to the transaction between the shipping service and the customer". END OF STORY. DHL claim department will not reopen the case. DHL Office of the President ignored my request to reopen the claim. So, there is no responsibility whatsoever. Why am I suffering when DHL scanner malfunctions? Isn't it easy for any DHL couriers/workers/warehouse personnel to steal packages without any consequences?

    Not even worth a full star. I was waiting all day, at home, for my package. Literally in the other side of the door and I never heard a thing. Then I go to check my mail and see a sticker. "Sorry we missed you" it says. How can they miss me when I've been home all day and on the other side of the door for the duration of that time. All because a delivery person is too stupid to ring a doorbell or knock on the door. Now I have to take off work AGAIN to get the package they were at fault of not delivering.     We used eshipper for our business, then DHL as the company and to say things have been a total disaster is an understatement. Our package was shipped on Nov. 8th, DHL Express Service, for 1 day delivery from Canada to the US for a part that needs repair. The part is being sent to the original manufacturer. DHL took a week to advise us of pretty standard documents that needed to be filled out. These documents were filled out and returned the same day, only to receive a note the next day saying they are still waiting for the documents. And then another week for customs to deal with the package.

    Once we received notification from DHL that the package had cleared customs and will be out for delivery on Nov. 18th, we found out today, Nov. 22nd that the package had to be repackaged and will take another 24 to 48 hours before it gets shipped. This has cost our company 1000s of dollars in delayed production. Lesson learned. Purolator or Fed Ex will be used for all future shipments.

    How do I begin to explain my disdain for this company overall. First, they didn't send my Etsy seller the tracking number, so did they nor I had any earthly clue to when my package was going to arrive. Secondly, they didn't leave a note to when they were going to return. When I contacted the customer service phone number, it gave me the runaround until I said "create an account" then an ACTUAL LIVE HUMAN BEING answers the line. As I explained my concerns, he started to chuckle and that's when I gave him. Read him the riot act and checked him for being so inconsiderate.

    The next ACTUAL LIVE HUMAN BEING, was much more empathetic and gave some effort. I contacted my seller and informed them of all the confusion. BTW I have been waiting for the package to arrive all day and still waiting. PLEASE ConsumerAffairs assure consumers like myself and others are aware of the poor work ethics and lack of quality service provided by this "stagecoach" company.

    AVOID DHL AT ALL COSTS! I posted a suitcase from Germany to Portugal in August. It’s now 3 MONTHS LATER and the bag, full of warm clothes, is still missing and I’m cold. The online tracker states the bag is in a German distribution centre. I spent 90 minutes on the phone to find out what happened to the bag, and got through to three different people. They either forwarded me onto someone else, who hung up, or hung up themselves. Words cannot describe how shocked I am by how TERRIBLE DHL IS! I submitted my claim via their online portal to report the missing bag. It's been three weeks and still nothing back from DHL! DO NOT TRUST DHL WITH YOUR BELONGS!!!     I ordered a rare book from a seller in the UK. They used DHL Express for the shipping and it came across the pond in good time; I will give DHL that--just a couple of days after I ordered, I began receiving tracking emails saying it would be delivered on November 15. I actually had appointments on that day that I canceled so that I would be home, but no one ever showed up. That evening I received another email from DHL saying "sorry we missed you, we attempted delivery today at 2:49 pm but no one was home". Which is simply not true. We live in a gated community and my guess is that since they didn't have the gate code, they attempted no further. A signature would have been required for an item of such value, so they couldn't just leave it outside the gate. There is a giant sign at the gate of our community stating that there is a construction entrance (which is always open) for work crews and delivery personnel, but delivery people don't seem to see it.

    What burns me is the dishonesty, basically saying that they came to my front door and attempted delivery when they clearly did no such thing. First of all, I made a point to be there, the entire day. Secondly, we have two dogs that bark like crazy whenever anyone comes up our driveway, and that never happened. Last but not least, we have security cameras outside our home that record all activity and anyone at the front door. When I checked the video, there was nothing.

    When I called customer service (twice) to explain my situation, they just kept saying that delivery had been attempted AT MY ADDRESS. Completely ignoring my testimony about the dogs and the security cameras, etc. Worst of all, the ensuing emails after said attempted delivery offered me the options of picking up the parcel at a DHL service locker in a neighboring city, which is a 3 hour round-trip drive for me, or a "signature release" which would allow them to indeed just throw it outside the gate and absolve them from any responsibility in the matter. No thank you.

    Please, please, do not use this company! Their service is horrible, horrendous, they are the worst delivery service I have ever used. I receive approx 4-5 packages weekly, and other delivery companies deliver as instructed, NOT this company. Please read and adhere to the reviews. This company lies and they state that they can't reach you when you're sitting at home waiting for them to deliver your package, even if you provide them with specific delivery instructions, they don't follow them, and customer service is rude, and will hang up on you. Ask for a manager, you do not get to speak with one. I asked and the agent hung up on me. You will get so frustrated, no matter how patient you are. Please never use this company, if I could give them a zero, no, if I could give a negative Zero, I would! Read the other reviews they are accurate and on point! And to add to it, you will pay a premium price for poor service such as this. SMH.

    DHL is horrible. They delivered a tub to my house. The driver was on his cell phone throughout the delivery. He pulled down my power lines and cable lines from my house. He gave me a phone number to his supervisor, told me to call and they would take care of it. Since then I tried to reach out to DHL numerous times and nothing. I'm stuck with the bill!!!

    DHL fail. Package was suppose to be express. It's just sitting in one city for days. No word when I will be get it. Never again...DHL I bought package needed for work on the 25th. Arrived in Houston on 28th...where it still sits evening or 31st. You can not expect same service from DHL as other carriers...They are disappointing.

    DHL have the most shockingly bad customer service I have ever experienced. My phone was arranged to be collected with them on back in August, they firstly didn't show up for four days and every time I phoned they said 'the van is in the area and should be with you very shortly' but it never showed up. I had to call them three times to rearrange the pickup all whilst taking holidays from work to wait for them.

    Finally my phone was collected but a couple of weeks later it hadn't arrived at its destination. I chased DHL up to which they denied all knowledge. After a MONTH of contacting different people in DHL (not by choice) and repeating myself over and over again they eventually admitted they had Parcelforce collect it. Why should I have to deal with parcelforce when it was DHL that organised it? My phone still has not arrived at its intented destination and they're basically saying it's not their fault. Really really frustrating and expensive problem that they're essentially just shrugging off. DO NOT USE DHL - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

    Do yourself a favor and do not ship via DHL, their tracking system is completely inaccurate and showed that my package was at the local hub when it was not. I have wasted two days waiting for a package that never arrived, the second day I specifically spoke with someone who promised it would be delivered, and yet today I was told it's NOT EVEN IN THE SAME STATE.     My parents had sent a package from Lucknow, India to Cleveland, OH in the United States of America. The package was scheduled to be delivered on 10/21/2021 and we were informed that the package has been returned back to the shipper and en route to India without us (the receiver) even being notified. Had we did not follow up we would not even be aware that the package has been returned. We even provided instructions on how to enter the building and where to leave it along with my contact details to call in case of any issue but the DHL delivery person did not even attempt to contact me or try to establish any contact.

    On being on call for almost 45 minutes with your helpline I learned that your delivery person tried contacting the shipper who was in a different time zone instead of contacting the receiver. To be honest this was the most ridiculous thing I have heard. For the kind of publicity and branding, your firm does this is really unacceptable and unprofessional behavior.     The package was initiated on Thursday, September 23rd in Mumbai, India. It was cleared to Brussels to Cincinnati and the tracking shows it arrived at east Windsor, NJ on September 27th. It was supposed to be delivered by September 29th. When we visited the store, they said they never received the package. Is it lost or stolen? They have just automated line so it is extremely frustrating to get no help. The package contains time sensitive material needed by October 7th for the wedding. They might have fraudulent franchises that could steal the package and say they never received it. He said it might have gone to Amazon warehouse. How irresponsible is that? How can you deliver bright yellow box to Amazon by mistake. I will not recommend anyone to use DHL.

    DHL started out as a wanna be UPS. I don't understand how they are even still around! Their delivery time is always slow as crap. They never get anything right. Hell USPS is faster than them! Hell a carrier pigeon would be faster. Get rid of this company all together!

    DHL USA is without a doubt the worst courier company I have encountered. The whole company is just lost with no one having a clue of what is happening. If one hopes to get anything done from them then you should know diff numbers of all departments as they will just shamelessly tell you that this is not their department when you call them.

    Why do people write negative DHL reviews? It's because DHL cannot live up to its own words and commitments. Firstly-- what major company starts business at 10:30 AM??? And after DHL says that your box is "With delivery courier" what happens? Your box drives all over the place all day long until the driver says "Aw, shucks! I've had enough of this delivery job and am heading back to the office!" And your box, containing perishable items, heads back to the office where it will spend the next 3 days sitting somewhere because it is a holiday weekend! When DHL says "Scheduled for Delivery" they really mean "When We Are Good and Ready!" You used to be able to speak to a customer service rep but those days are over! You know-- back when the driver said "No address on box--- heading back to the office now".

    Yeah-- you know -- how they send a box from Indonesia to the US but forgot to put an address on it, RIGHT??? And when the box finally shows up there is an address--- OH WAIT A MINUTE--THERE ARE 5 ADDRESS LABELS ON ALL THE SIDES OF THE BOX! This is the one with "NO ADDRESS ---NEED TO GET BACK TO THE SAFETY OF THE OFFICE!" So today-- since there is no more "Customer Service" but only an automated "Chat" -- "Mr. Chat" says-- "The package will be delivered by midnight today!"--- but the "Customer Service" closes at 8 PM! So when I asked what do I do if there is a problem after 8 PM? (Namely the driver got all tuckered out and had "Office Separation Anxiety") --- it immediately said "Sorry---you timed out, we are closed for the long weekend, and we will do our best to avoid you come TUESDAY, when we feel like coming back to work!" Absolutely primitive---yoohoo--it's 2021!!!

    I live in Turkey. I always shop at Newegg.com USA website. I pay custom fees (VAT) to newegg company. Newegg sends orders via UPS shipping company. I receive my orders without any problem and without any extra payment. UPS makes the custom clearance. This is like this for months. And I really like UPS shipping carrier.

    My last two order were handed over to DHL shipping carrier. DHL requires me to make the custom clearance through their contracted customs broker. And their contracted customs broker requires me make extra payment for each package. I told them I already paid all custom fees to newegg.com. But they say there is local custom fees which I have to pay it.

    Here is the problem: I buy the same computer components at newegg.com USA website. I pay the same prices and custom fees (VAT) to newegg. Both shipping carrier is located in Turkey. UPS doesn't require me make any extra payment. DHL requires me make extra payment. What is the difference? Why double charges on DHL? Someone explain to me, please!

    We shipped Package internationally and usually shipped 100 kilo per month and our package always arrived a few days early then states in the Dhl tracking as, but DHL in Dallas location choose not to deliver even though package arrive a few days early but choose not to deliver early. Bad service. We are now looking with other carrier beside DHL.

    I paid for the express service and was promised for next day delivery. On the next day, the delivery guy called the recipient that they were otw, the recipient waited till 12am, still no show. I found out about the delay from the recipient, I called the local DHL toll free number but no one pick up. I called Singapore dhl to find out but no one was able to give me updates. After countless times of follow up, they managed to get someone to look into my case and "will plan a schedule to deliver my express parcel"?? What a drama. After that, I told dhl in Singapore that I wanted an explanation of the delay, so far nobody return my call.... I paid a premium for the express service but the parcel was delivered on the 3rd days. What a rip off. All in all, very disappointed with dhl.

    Being from Canada, I need to use International Shipping all the time when buying from the US, even if the drive is less than 2 hours. I bought some supplements and decided to go First Class, because why not? It has been 3 weeks since I have bought said supps (GamerSupps), and I have contacted both DHL support and GamerSupps support, and my package is somewhere.     I got a text telling me "Sorry we missed you" when they were never even here attempting to deliver! I didn't need to sign for delivery, my husband was out cutting the front lawn right next to our driveway, and we have two, yes two cameras outside that would have recorded them if they were here! There was no sign of a DHL delivery van on my cameras! My directions were very clear and not obstructed or hard to follow in any way! Also there was no note of any kind outside that they would leave if they were here! This is not acceptable! I have time sensitive material that was to be delivered!

    My anniversary package to my fiancé has been sitting in Frankfurt, Germany for a week and I paid for expedited delivery of $70+. I inquired with the company and they didn’t even attempt to resolve the issues. Simply sent me a cut & paste response. This company does not care about customer service at all. There’s no checks and balances of quality service. People should be getting fired for the lack thereof. You’re nothing without your customers. It’s utterly RIDICULOUS.

    I sent a package 8 days ago to Mexico from Los Angeles CA. The DHL person told me it was going to arrive the next day. It was a lie, my package was sent to Ohio for some reason I don’t understand. I called. They opened 3 inquiries which they did not reached me. I am still waiting for the package to be delivered. I already sent an e-mail waiting to see if I can have the package back to me so I can send it through FedEx, I really did not know that this shipping service was going to be so bad. Please don’t use this service, it might be cheap but that is was you get a cheap service, that is not trustworthy.

    No one ever contacted me in regards to my shipment being delayed. I called 5 times, requested a supervisor and never got 1 to call me back. Every time I called I got a different story. My shipment is coming from China. I paid for express and it’s delayed. They claim the description wasn’t on the label. Alibaba sent me the label and there was the description plain as day. Then they claim you have to register and my information wasn’t on there when Alibaba put all of my information on there so there would not be a delay and here was to be delivered today and my package is still in NY! I will never ever order from Alibaba due to them using DHL. DHL is NOT professional nor PROFICIENT at all! This is ridiculous and bad business. They blamed it all on Alibaba, but Alibaba came at me with receipts.

Impossible to reason with them, they just keep reciting their information about the package, which contradicts their original information about the package. When their service works things are good, but when something goes wrong look out, they will take you to the cleaners!!

    One of the oldest express package delivery companies has gone down to the lowest point. The systems are outdated and updated hours or days behind and sometimes never updated at all. Received a package that when tracked said on hold. Calling for assistance is useless, those people only know the systems aren't working and little else. Use the post office for the most reliable experience.

    Package was missing. Just showed it was with the driver. On July 12th Numerous inquiries and admittance from customer service it was not showing delivered etc. All of a sudden they put a fraudulent scan as delivered 9 days later stating it was delivered on the 12th. Package was never delivered, then got the proverbial finger about the situation. I am out 230$, drivers steal and management lies and scams! How is they company even in business!? BBB needs to look into them!

    Sent a package fro the US through a third party shipper with DHL EXPRESS. Package was sent to Brazil and it was advised by the tracking information that it was going to be sent back. After 9 calls in a week and talk with different departments, process was not reverted as promised and any information why the package was sent back was never foretold. Constant in DHL, customer service is aggressive, violent and rude with poor people skills. Most of them repeat a line several times with no explanation whatsoever and no resolution. Filed a claim but because package was sent through a third party shipper, they are the ones who have to file a claim. Talk with them and they are not willing to do so. DO NOT USE DHL if you want your package to be delivered correctly to your destination.

I have had my delivery delayed by days (which I took of work) because your agents just keep making blind unauthorized changes to my delivery instructions, I am told I will have a supervisor call me back in 90 minutes......4 hours later someone calls me from the "escalation" team to let me know I am ** for yet another day, I ask to talk to their supervisor and get told someone will call me back in 90 minutes....except when I ask what time they close and then it's the awkward silence followed by oh we close in 5 minutes, "you won't actually get a call back until tomorrow".

    Worst service ever. I had to call DHL 5-6 times a day to try to get my package. This is a commercial and customer service told me to wait until 8pm, or go to station to pick it up. I paid to have it delivered at my door. They said that was one attempt to delivery which is not true because we do have cameras and no paper was left. I just found out about that package because I open a complaint with my supplier and since then just false promises. Every single day they say that will have the package deliver by 3 and so far nothing. No one is responsible for that kind of service, they just doesn't care.

    I ordered a golf club from a Canadian company that uses DHL Express. The item (1 pkg, 2 lbs) was shipped on June 8. On June 9th the shipment was on hold at Cincinnati Hub. On June 10th the status was Processed for clearance, which I believe was customs. From June 10th through June 15th the shipment sat at the Cincinnati Hub because it could not clear customs; the status said additional information was needed; I would be contacted. No contact. I finally got in contact with customer service and they said the shipment was missing a "commercial invoice" and asked me to send a copy.

    Well a commercial invoice is prepared by the shipper and is a detailed document used in customs processing. Finally DHL Express contacted the shipper via a DHL agent assigned to the shipper on June 16th. That night it cleared Customs and DHL Express sent me an Invoice and said pay it or your package will be sent back to the shipper. The invoice contained the following line items:

    MERCHANDISE PROCESSING 27.33
    IMPORT EXPORT DUTIES 63.45
    ADVANCE PAYMENT 17.00

    BONDED STORAGE 62.00

    I sent an email to DHL Express and the shipper asking for an explanation; the shipper responded that they had attached a copy of the "commercial invoice" to the package and sent a copy via email for the shipment. DHL Express has not responded. I can only surmise that DHL Express lost the original, commercial invoice resulting in the shipment being delayed and then they had the gall to charge me for the costs associated with the delay. I asked the following question in my email to DHL Express " A charge to me for "Bonded Storage" of $62.00, is outrageous; since the delay at Customs was never my fault. The delay was because of a missing "Commercial Invoice" - either the "shipper", Tour Experience Golf neglected to provide it OR they did provide it and DHLExpress lost it. In any case it took DHL Express three days to ask the shipper to provide it; Tour Experience Golf has an assigned DHL Express agent - why did it take so long?

    I ordered an item that was shipped by DHL. Never received it. I filed multiple claims and was given nothing but the runaround. I was told multiple times that it would be rescheduled for delivery. That never happened. I was told that customer service would call me. That never happened. I was told the problem would be escalated. That never happened. Finally my shipment was deemed as lost and I was basically told not their problem anymore and I need to file a claim with the shipper. They never tried to locate or help in any way. They actually hung up on me at one point. Never again. Never use DHL.

    I mail a package on May 25, 21 for express delivery to Buffalo NY to a PO Box. Later I receive a call that the package is on hold because they need a physical address. I gave a physical address and was told on 6/3/31 it is corrected in the system and would be sent out. I called daily from 6/3/21 to 6/17/21 because it continues to say on hold when I track it online and every day I am told by someone it will be sent out. After 2 weeks and nothing done. I spoke to a manager. Please consumers DO NOT USE DHL. It is the worst shipping company of all. It is slower than the mail by far and no one listens to the customer if there is a problem. It is the worst service I have ever received anywhere. Save yourself the nightmare!

    DHL STOLE my stuff and said it was lost then they didn't have the decency to reach out to me to tell me it was lost. I had to keep calling them back to back. They showed no sympathy towards me. Also refuse to let me speak with supervisor. This has happened numerous of times to so may different people. It is sad and very trifling of them. They need to get shut down and they will be hearing from my LAWYER. I Will also get a petition signed so they can get shut down. Also representative agent got smart with me. Also was very sarcastic. She told me "I cant make magic happen and get the supervisor she is not available." Wow so rude to a person and you all just misplaces her package and closed the investigation.

    I used a proxy service and used DHL as my shipping method since I didn't know any better, and it was the cheapest shipping method. I should have done more research. Package was supposed to come last Monday. First excuse they give was the traffic. Second excuse they give me was about my address missing some components. Then, they failed to deliver the third time for an unknown reason and refuse to tell me why. They said today it will be delivered, but I have my doubts. Since these people don’t know how to deliver packages, might as well schedule a pickup. Do not do business with these people. FedEx is far more better than what this joke of a company can do.

    I own a small manufacturing company with clients in China and the Philippines. I use FedEx, UPS and DHL, as it's the clients' choice as they pay for shipping. Sent a package via DHL to the Philippines 10 days ago. For some reason, the package is being held in Cincinnati. I have called and been assured that the 'hold' is not due to a need for more information. There is no one to talk to, five emails sent each of last five days have been ignored. This is totally unacceptable and my client who is waiting the shipment has asked me have DHL return the package, and I will ship with Fed Ex. Unbelievably horrible service....this is a business whose clients order and then expect prompt shipment...DHL's disregard for their clients business is inexcusable. I will NEVER use them again to ship my product...client Beware.

    DHL apparently doesn't believe in delivering their packages. My package was sent from England, I paid a lot for my stuff and shipping. It was sent on a Friday and they had it on a truck by Monday for delivery. A week later they still haven't delivered it. In fact I signed online so in the event I wasn't home it could be delivered and one day the driver said attempted delivery, no one present. That was a lie, there is someone here EVERYDAY. THEN, they claim their drivers deliver up to 2130 hours (9:30pm), how is that professional? In my opinion, the driver should be fired and one of the supervisors should deliver my package personally.

    DHL Express Canada is one of the worst international couriers. The customer service department has employed a bunch of individuals who are rude, impatient and have no knowledge of the service they provide. Do not pay for express with any company who deals with DHL, you will be wasting your money paying for express. DHL is very slow when it comes on to delivery products that have been assigned for express delivery.

Packages sit with them for days before they are transferred to the USPS for delivery. Why even bother with DHL at all as a shipping partner - go straight to the USPS!

    Unpaid since February. Kali ** assured me she had received the invoices and they were submitted. They were to be paid by ACH and I sent all the proper paper work, copy of voided check and W-9. Now you are telling me you haven't received the invoices or won't honor them because you received them through QB Intuit via email? I need a phone call from your AP department ASAP so this can be taken care of. Thank you.

    Why after 3 months are we only now finding this out? A real live person needs to call us with a real live answer, this seems like a canned response and delaying tactic. Do all the people that owe you money get the same “pay us when you feel it” luxury?     Calling them was the worst experience with any shipping companies! I’ve got an insured express package supposedly arriving on a Thursday according the tracking!! But they said the address has no apartment #. So I updated online with the link they provided immediately shortly after I received the notification on the same day. And I called right after to confirm that they have the updated address. And I was told that they’d try to deliver on the same day if they have time if not it would be 8am-12pm on Friday. So then I asked what’s the end of day time they would deliver until? So just in case they had time to deliver on Thursday I will be there to sign it. They said 9pm. So I waited waited till 9pm hoping they’d make it. Well. It never came either on Thursday or Friday morning like they told me it for sure would!!!!

    Tracking status was also stuck on “exception” still inquiring about the address info!! So I called AGAIN Friday afternoon to ask what’s the scheduled date??? This time I was told for some reason it was not set to delivery yet and he will file a claim and he also confirmed the address info was received on Thursday (so then why was it not set to delivery?). So I asked if they could update the tracking status so I can get an estimated time??? The guy said they will and FOR SURE it will be delivered to me on friday. BUT informed if I don’t receive any tracking updates by 3pm to call again to check. (I really didn’t want to). So at 3pm I had to call AGAIN since nothing came and there was no updates no phone calls NOTHING!!! (Waited 2 days for this package while I could be out doing other important things.)

    So then, at 3pm I was told since the delivery change was made around noon (last time when I called) the package didn’t make it onto the truck and it was rescheduled to Monday! I was like... "Ok I thought you said it will be for sure delivered today???" So Monday came with all these frustrations dealing with lies from these customer service people. I CALLED AGAIN (so I could get some updates on an estimated time hoping I don’t need to stay home for the whole freaking day). They told me between 10am -2pm and now it’s past 4pm. I am sitting here still waiting and decided I should write this review... In conclusion, lessons learned. Never call DHL. They don’t know what they are doing or talking about! Just wasted my time calling 4 times just to get myself even more confused about the situation. I should just sit at home and just wait for it instead. :)

    Stating that DHL is awful is a huge understatement. Tried following all online instructions to pay customs duties. Impossible because every way DHL states to pay duties does not work. Trying over the phone you only get a recording basically that they are understaffed and sorry. I will no longer order anything from overseas with a business that only ships DHL. The added stress dealing with DHL is just not worth it.

    As a corporate customer I have had great experiences with DHL, but this was simply atrocious. Package shipped from sending on Thu, Mar 25 with 3 day guaranteed delivery. Delivery was so late that I had changed addressed, confirmed with DHL customer support 3 times to ensure delivery to new address, and they still delivered to incorrect address... Package did not arrive until Apr 6th. I had to drive 2 hours to old address to pick up the package. I was proactive to notify them of issues multiple times and was promised multiple times that delivery would be "tomorrow" and to the correct address and it never arrived. Collectively this will have wasted me about 10 hours of my time in correspondence, waiting, and driving. Over-promising and under-delivering is an awful customer experience, and your customer support just sent blanket lies of assurance when there were clearly still issues.

    Never Again! This is the first time I’ve used DHL for shipping internationally and definitely my last!!! I was charged $29 duty/taxes for an $87 order, I thought UPS import fees were high but I’d much rather deal with UPS. Cheaper import fees (Air Freight), 24/7 customer service, DHL has 9am-5pm type hours???. Also slow delivery compared to other shipping companies. Word of advice if known how and can self clear your shipment it’s much cheaper. Lots of information online if you search.

    I would have given 0 rating if it allowed me. We were supposed to receive the package and we got an update saying the driver couldn’t get access code, my question here is there were contact numbers on the shipment label, how come the driver didn't call us? When we called the customer service, I don't know what planet they live in. They never try to listen what we are saying, they just tell their scripted notes. How come such a reputed courier service has very minimum to no organisation skills. How come they don't have the delivery driver name or contact number who picked up the package from the DHL service center. You need to at least get their details. Never ever opting for dhl ever again. There are very small courier services doing their best and giving the best service, while these reputed services and taking things for granted.

    Let me be clear: I do a lot of shipping... DHL, UPS and FedEx. And I've had my share of problems with each -- including a recent problem with a DHL shipment to India. But I realize that some of the issues I've had may be more about the receiving NATION than the shipper. That said, I was a successful Fortune 500 Mktg/Comm VP and I learned the extreme importance of individual customer service. That awareness -- including my own high standards -- is what motivates me to write a review based on the customer service attitude of "Aurora"... The woman behind the desk at my local DHL in New York City (886 Second Avenue.)

    When I go to the time and expense of bringing in a package for international shipment, it's always because I'm sending something important TO someone important. What impressed me was the way the agent, "Aurora", treated me and my needs... AND what I observed as I watched her handling the shipping of other customers ahead of me in line. She is personable and thoughtful. She REMEMBERED me and my preferences from previous visits...even with substantial gaps in between. Believe me, I'm not THAT frequent a customer. It's absolutely not that I'm so memorable; it's that THIS gal pays ATTENTION and obviously CARES about giving EACH customer the support they desire.

    Simply put -- if I were back in corporate life (God forbid!) -- this agent, Ms. Aurora, is EXACTLY the kind of person I'd want to hire. She's clearly intelligent, attentive, responsive, cordial...and always made me feel that my shipping satisfaction was something that mattered to her -- and that she'd do her best to ensure that DHL did its best. Again, I saw her treating other customers with the exact same care. I wish I could deal with people like her at Federal Express, American Airlines and a host of other large organizations that are important to me and my business needs. So it's because of Ms. Aurora -- with kudos to her boss for hiring her -- THAT'S why I had to take time to offer a 5-star review. She's superlative, plain and simple. As Tina Turner sang when I was much younger: for Ms. Aurora's customer service attitude and performance, she is "Simply The Best."

    Worst shipping company. Complete incompetence. Professional time wasters. My package that I paid for door to door service has still not been delivered and it’s over a week late. No delivery notice left at my address. A dozen phone calls made to DHL customer service and the issue has still not been resolved. Nothing but excuses and a total lack of any concern for the garbage service provided by any of the employees of this company. Save yourself the headaches and go with FedEx. A police report has been filed for theft.

    Five years go I received envelope, 6 weeks late, severely damaged and empty of its important docs. DHL refused to take any responsibility for the carnage, refused to return the pricy international shipping costs. Recently, Amazon, in some gross oversight, used DHL to send a package. They had the correct zip but sent the package via the USPS to a town 30 miles away. Instead of the local post office, 1 mile away. Again, they refused to account for their negligence and left it up to me to secure the package. DHL is a world of excuses and incompetence. Avoid at all costs.

    I am a member of ipsy who has very well wrapped products with very sticky tape that makes it difficult to open. Yesterday I received two tampered re-taped bags. One in particular was placed in a new bag with a cheap flimsy sticker to close the opening instead of using the tape that the packaging comes with to ensure it's sealed and prevents stealing unless someone purposefully opens the package and replaces it with a new bag. Can't say if it was tampered with on the way with ipsy service and they have employees that are stealing or once it hit DHL service it was tampered with but it was left open on my front porch.

    One missing product and of course it was a full size ANASTASIA mascara product. I was refunded but my issue is that there seems to be no issue with theft if this type of behavior is tolerated and packages are processed like this. I will be cancelling my membership with ipsy in fear of future theft. Just disappointed that this is hard to report through the system and generally theft happening with courier Services.

    This is my second bad experience about delivery from DHL to my place, I'm sure one of delivery guy in my area stealing items from customers and sign it by her/his self as a fake sign to delivered to customers but not true, that's a shame! I phoned them but they are so slow to response and not resolve my issue till now. My track Number is **. The DHL should find out who's stealing customer's items from their system, one of my friend had the same issue in past, I Won't remove my review till resolve my problem.

    Worst ever! My package fee was extremely expensive... just because I thought they would be reliable! They had a custom clearance request, DHL slept on it for 5 days!! No response whatsoever or update from their side... until I called them and reached out and pushed! Until now the package hasn't been received, I was charged 230 USD for some clothes that were supposed to be a birthday gift for my nephew. His birthday is over and still the package is not there! First and last time to use DHL. I wish I read those reviews earlier!

They actually had it in the right city, but refused to release it to the recipient because of their error. Do they shipped back to USA. And now it is sitting somewhere.

    Let me say first I'd rather not use their service at all but one of my vendor uses them to deliver to me. The first time a package was delayed in Morrisville because they couldn't find the address and I called repeated and was always prompted to the website... Then yesterday I was notified my package was delivered but it was taken to the wrong house on a totally different street.. Errors that can be avoided with giving attention to delivery address clearly noticed on the package. I called customer service, got no help, was told I'd receive a call with 4 to 6 hours. I received nothing from them. No call. Nothing. I have a couple more package coming via my vendor but I'm gonna let the vendor know about the "SORRY SERVICE" they are paying for.

    I paid extra for express shipping that they told me would take 2-3 days, instead AFTER paying they made my delivery date for 7 days after shipping. THEN the delivery date comes and they tell me “we’re backed up and can’t deliver it today” after I got a text from them 4 hours prior saying it was out for delivery. I still don’t have my package and it’s now day 8 and no one has any answers. April the customer service supervisor told me I can drive to their packing facility 1 hour away and go pick it up if I want it.

    They sent me a text to track my package. Didn't arrive and not updated on website. So I called that number didn't work. Found a number by a search. Person who answered said my tracking number didn't exist so I asked for a supervisor since they texted me the number and the link they sent me got to a site that showed my package. Naturally I got hung up on and not transferred. So I called again and got a different person who found the tracking number but said I didn't pay the duty. I told her I did 2 days ago and I could read the receipt number. She was rude. Since it was 2 minutes after the people left where the package would be delivered I asked how I would be notified. She said they would just show up. I asked when and her response was that she had no idea. I asked her to have them call me since today is December 23rd and my employees aren't working on Xmas eve or Xmas. She said they don't do that.

    I said, "Well they texted me so can they at least do that when it will be delivered." Answer = NO. They will just try another day. How stupid is it in this day and age to not call someone. DHL is totally inept, their website doesn't work, their people are rude and they can't figure out that it is a lot cheaper to call before they deliver a package to make sure someone is there. Especially when it is the 23rd of December and they were supposed to deliver it today.

    DHL says that they're the global leader in the logistics industry specializing in international shipping. However, there is no logistics once we can't get the goods on time! I've BOOKED to RECEIVE my package and I took the day off from work hoping to get it by the end of the day as it says on the website and for my disappointment, it is not right, not true! Nonetheless, I spoke to ASHIKA ** who works at this company and she said that there's nothing the DHL company can do for me.     I am extremely disappointed and fed up with you and your service. My package was declared as less than $60 of value and gift and yet you managed to charge me $20 for taxes and duties! It only happens with DHL! With other shipping companies I've received products for over $300 and never got charged! Please don't write back saying that you have no control over the custom's duties because as I reiterate, it only happens with your company! If the value is less than $60 and a gift the law says I should not be charged extra taxes and duties. You guys are running a legalized scam and you are in it with the dirty government. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

    My sister often sends gifts from Italy and we always get scammed by you. Rest assured this is the last time we use DHL unless you give me my money back including a previous shipment where I got charged over $60 for taxes and duties!     This company is frustrating. They want you to wait the whole week to get your parcel from their delivery man. They don't have option to pick it up from their nearest office to my address. There's a third party that delivered your package and the same way they don't have option. As of this writing, my package was sent to back to the USA. Customer service is good in saying "it's not our problem". This happened twice. One of my parcel from Cyprus and a 3 set of scrub suits I ordered online. Please deal with another courier than DHL. Totally frustrating.

    You always truly know a company's customer service when something goes wrong, and you need them to solve it or at least make a fast sincere apology and a fair refund. Listen carefully to what happened to me. On November 5th, I shipped a package with some medicine to a friend of mine in Brazil because his little daughter suffers from a severe allergic reaction, and it was easier, faster and cheaper to get this done here in Canada than in Brazil, believe me. I tracked the package during the whole process and kept my friend informed since this important shipment had to get to its destination as soon as possible since we don't know when the next allergic reaction would occur, and they were running out of this medicine there.

    The package with this medicine worth CAD$ 408.87 was delivered on November 9th, which is pretty fast based on prior experiences. But to our unfortunate surprise, the package arrived empty. DHL in Brazil went on an investigation to figure out what happened to the package, but they didn't find anything. It took 9 more days to inform my friend in Brazil that they couldn't find anything there. They notified DHL Canada, and in a couple of days, I received an e-mail asking me to file a claim for formalities, and I did it immediately!

    At this moment, even though we were all sad because this simple task of sending a package with this important medicine was not accomplished because we all know that kind of things happens, we were tied to the hope of getting a fast, sincere apology and of course, the fair refund to buy the medicine and send it again. But guess what, it didn't happen this way! I have just received a call from a gentle and respectful attendant calmly saying that I would be refunded only CAD$ 3 and some cents calculated based on the weight of the package because I didn't choose to check the insurance option. I was frozen, not believing in what I've just heard. At that moment, I thought that was some lame prank. But that was what they told and offered me.

    It is unbelievable that such a big and renowned company, at least I thought it was, has this awful kind of policy. I will never, ever use DHL again, and I will do my best to discourage people from doing so. I'm actually going to do this bad review in all media I have access to, including my website ** where I have numerous followers.

    I sent a package (three documents) to Cancun Mexico from Miami, FL. I was promised it will take 2 days to be received. It’s been a week and it has not been delivered yet. It went from Miami to Cincinnati, to Mexico City, to Querétaro, back to Mexico City (?) three days sitting there and now looks like is in Cancun but still don’t know when it will be delivered. I should have used USPS. Probably as slow but much cheaper. Shame in a company who used to be # 1 for international package service.

    I have been selling online for years and I have never seen this. Recently, a customer from the United States was kind enough to contact me to tell me that she had received her package ... along with several other DHL packages from several other of my customers. At the same time, I noticed when I check my DHL tracking numbers that 5 packages were lost ... I guess these are the packages received in error by my US customer. I contacted DHL again and again. DHL Canada was asking me to contact DHL US to resolve this issue, and DHL US was asking me to contact DHL Canada. Apparently when they make huge mistakes, it is not their problem.

    Several days later I still don't know what happened. So I will have to reship the items to my customers through another courier company, in addition to the $300 lost due to this huge mistake. On the top of that, another customer contacted me to let me know that DHL refuses to deliver his package. They are stating that no address is on file for this item to be shipped even though I shipped this package (I have the tracking number as proof) to the correct address. About 30 shipments the same day and 6 major problems out of the 30... It is a shame. If you are an online seller, please avoid DHL.

    My mom sent me a package from Germany to London in SEPTEMBER 2020! I was not at home when the package arrived here in London. The driver DID NOT leave a not for me, saying that that my package had arrived and where to pick it up. So the package was sitting at some depot for 10 days before it was returned to Germany. SAME THIS THERE! My mom DID NOT get a note saying that the package arrived and where she had to pick it up.

    NOW! The package completely disappeared: Apparently the tracking number is invalid now. Their so-called customer service is unable to track it. No one feels responsible for that situation, and yesterday they even HANG UP on me when I was talking to them, trying to find out when my package had gone. So rude! So poor! They don't know how to run this company, neither they know how to set up a friendly and efficient customer service department! Further, I sent an email in which I claimed a compensation - no reply! This is not only unprofessional, rude and absolutely ignorant dealing with your customer's values - this is crime! It's a shame and a disgrace reflecting in all of your customer reviews!

    I used DHL for documents delivery to Mexico and not only they failed to deliver, but the customer service was very unprofessional when I called them. They told me that the delivery address didn't exist or I wrote it wrong. I told them that some documents were deliver in the past to the same address with no issues whatsoever by FedEx and they told me it was my mistake and no theirs. I also told them that I was going to report them with BBB consumer affairs and they challenged me to do it since they're not affiliated. Never again DHL!

    This is the worst company I have ever dealt with when sending a package internationally. (Central America) Even when I asked them to explain the process and costs they did not say anything. I had to deal with all the paperwork and fees with the government personnel to release my package at the port of entry. Then once DHL had the package in their hands, they send me a bill for 2x the value of the package. They argued they were government fees. And taxes (at 70%) which I do not believe. I asked them to send me the payment receipt to government since I knew I had paid for that already and they refused. Beware if you send something through them to Central America, you will end up paying as much as 4 times the value of your package. To me the company dealings and practices there seemed very fishy. I would never used them again and definitely would not recommend DHL International.

    Very unpleasant company to deal with. I've spoke to 10+ agents in 5 days that are unable to give me a straight or similar answer as to what is going on with my 2 packages. Duty has been paid on the first and every one of the agents say it's suppose to be here tomorrow. It's now been days in a row of the same exact response and I still have no package.

    On the second package, agents say I haven't paid the duty (when I have proof they took my money), and the others say it's on hold for a totally different reason, but assure me it's going to be delivered the next day. It's now been a week of that same response and I have neither of my 2 packages. NO ONE, not even management actually has the ability to give a straight answer or solve an issue properly at DHL / DHL Canada. Even just getting on the phone with a team leader or member of management was a hard task in itself. They refused to put me on, and I was even hung up on.

    After speaking with management I'm assured they are looking into the issue and I will receive an email or call back with a resolution and that DOES not happened. I have every single voice memo attached to my account if anyone wants to know how DHL's "valuable" customers are being treated, it's simply unacceptable in my opinion. This is why I'm choosing to share this experience in the hopes that this does not happen to anyone of you.

    This is your clear warning: STAY FAR AWAY FROM DHL. Agents will do or say anything to get you off of the phone. All they are they for is to take your tracking numbers and read to you what it says. Anything else is out of their hands and beyond their control. If you contact me to review the calls just listen how many times I'm assured my package will in fact be here. After being promised it was going to be here again today my package is now with a totally different 3rd party shipping service that says it's not coming until "tomorrow" once again. DHL is a complete waste of time scam and are VERY far from international shipping experts in my opinion.

    Would avoid if you can. I created my shipment on MyDHL+ online. My two stars is a reflection of the poor communication flow/customer service. DHL didn't pick up within the pick-up window, once it was picked up a week later and AFTER I contacted them multiple times, they held our package at an international border for clearance. This takes some time but without any email/phone calls of it's status I thought it would just take time. After 2 weeks, I called to check in and they informed me my package would be returned and that we would still be billed. We were directed to international phone numbers that didn't go through, even after talking to many U.S. customer service reps. They still charged us 100+ dollars. Will not be using again.

    I wish there was a 0 star rating for DHL. DHL lied about delivery attempts. They never came to my house and they said they tried delivering but no one's home. LIAR I called the customer service many times for help. They guaranteed 4 times to deliver my parcel the next day. Each day I ended up being so frustrated, here is what happened:

    Sep 21: I request delivery on the next day and it was confirmed by DHL. Sep 22: I waited at home the whole day but no one delivered my parcel, I called the customer service and the rep said it would get delivered tomorrow FOR SURE. Sep 23: I waited the whole day and no parcel, called again and the rep PROMISED the next day delivery. Sep 24: NO PARCEL again and I called and asked for a manager, the manager named Ruth GUARANTEED it would get delivered on the next day. Sep 25: GUESS what, today is the Friday and still no parcel. I called and the supervisor on the phone said they could only deliver my parcel on the NEXT Monday.

    It's fair to call DHL Liar at this point right? The specialist at DHL is like a joke. They sent you a scripted email and asked me to wait 2 days for a simple feedback on my parcel. Two days after, they sent you an email saying they closed my case because my "parcel is with the courier and it would be delivered today". BUT where is my parcel, LIAR?

    My experience is that sometimes DHL delivery is fast but sometimes packages are delivered late and only after filing claims or sending many e-mails to customer service (and occasionally package is lost, but DHL won't admit that). I personally will not use DHL ever again, domestic or international.

    My daughter was receiving a package. Driver wanted a signature but had no mask. I asked him to leave it at the door. He refused. I asked he wear a mask and then I’ll wear mine and I’ll come out and sign. He refused again and stomped off and drove off without leaving our package. What company hires and fails to train these people. We are in a pandemic. Did anyone tell DHL?

    I ordered a small packet from a company in Ireland to be delivered to me in Canada. I paid the expensive DHL shipping fee of $30.00. The packet apparently arrived in Ottawa, but I was never notified by DHL. No text message. No voice message. No sticker on the door. They kept it for weeks then returned it to Ireland. I am surprised DHL did not try to charge me a storage fee!

    I had the company re-send it. I copied and pasted in the tracking number to pay the duty. DHL said the number was invalid. I called DHL. First, notified their toll-free number has changed. Then, many of their stated pick-up points no longer exist. DHL online contact information needs extensive revision to update facts. Talked to a guy who couldn’t help. Contacted Ireland, confirmed the tracking number was correct. It was. Copy and paste it in again. This time it worked. Overall, delivery took four weeks. Impressive for all the wrong reasons. UPS and FedEx can manage to deliver international packages to me. Hey, even the Post Office can manage it. Why not DHL?

    Had a 2k dollar watched shipped express from Japan. Scheduled for delivery by end of day, Friday at 9 pm it says due to bad weather no delivery. COMPLETE HORSE MANEUR LIE. Company practices are TRASH. Never using them again. Will pay extra for any other carrier. GARBAGE company.
