I paid almost 400$ to ship a coffee machine from Europe to Michigan. Customs assessed an import duty of 2,17$ ... DHL charged me 81,40$ after they added their "processing fees" .. this on top of the 400$ shipping charge. Trust me, DHL is not a good company.. they will nickel and dime you to the extreme. Never again.

It took 10 days of headache inducing hoop jumping to have them figure out mistakes on their end to finally deliver my parcel. No contact by them whatsoever, if I hadn't taken the full initiative it'd still be sitting there. Hands down the worst delivery service I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. I'd pay twice the cost simply to use another company. You have ONE job and still you can't do it effectively.

I have had constant slow deliveries by DHL. This time was time sensitive and promised by March 8, 2024. I have a screenshot of the tracking where the product arrived in the area but for some reason it did not deliver on the day promised. I really try not to write bad reviews but this company needs to step it up or more companies should discourage using their shipping services. As of now if a company says they ship via DHL, I will not order from them.

I paid a lot of money for an overseas delivery (cold weather gear.) It got to the destination city with 10 days to spare, but the local DHL office did not contact us about additional information for customs until the 8th or 9th day. Then we were told that there was no weekend delivery. In the end, we had to buy all new cold-weather gear. What a waste of money and energy to get everything boxed and shipped. If DHL had not waited so long, it all would have worked fine. No refund. Why ship with DHL?

Paid for 1 to 2 business day shipping on 2/18/2024. Package shipped from warehouse 2/19/2024. Today is 2/23/2024. Scam you ask? YES!!! Choose standard and save yourself $15 dollars!! So regret not reading reviews for Proactiv and DHL prior to ordering.

I was supposed to receive a package today via DHL. I’ve been tracking my package and thought it was odd that it was close by earlier today and then they drove to another town. I just received a text message stating they just tried to deliver to my home, and they will attempt tomorrow as no one was at the residence. Number one, I signed a package release 2 days ago and I have a copy of that. Number two, I have cameras that record 24/7. DHL did not attempt to deliver and when I called into customer service, they could have cared less, absolutely no help. I do not recommend this company to anyone. If you own a business, please do not ship your items via DHL!!!

Was supposed to receive a package on 2/17 through DHL. Instead of delivering they passed it off to usps and it sat at their facility for 6 days before they arranged pick up. Horrible company to if you want anything on time or to arrive at all.

I received a notice via email on Thursday, Feb. 15, that my package was not delivered because no one was home at the consignee address. I provided an alternate address to my home, which I normally wouldn't use but at least I knew I'd be home when they attempted to deliver. The scheduled delivery was Friday, Feb. 16, "By End of Day." No one showed up to deliver the package. On their website it said the delivery is "On Hold" all weekend.
This morning, I received a notice via text and email stating that my package is out for delivery, and it would be delivered between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. At approximately 12:05 PM I saw a DHL vehicle speed past my apartment in the parking lot at about 30 mph. I ran out to the porch and yelled to them, but they sped off. I ran outside to see if they were circling back around (my complex is a big circle, not a complicated place at all), and I didn't see them. Then, while still outside looking for the vehicle, I received a text message and email that said, "Sorry, we missed you," and "we were unable to deliver your DHL Express shipment because you were not home at the time of our attempted delivery."
I emailed their socialcare email address that I found on one of their bad reviews on Google and explained what happened. The person at that email said they are reviewing further with their local management team. I contacted the sender, a private language school where I earned the certificate that is in my package I'm trying to receive, and I asked them to also contact DHL to push them to deliver the package. The DHL website won't let me schedule another delivery or pickup because it says I've used the maximum number of allowed delivery requests, even though I've only used it once to provide an alternate address, and confirmed they have my correct contact info.
I contacted a customer service agent via live chat on their website and explained the situation and provided all the necessary information. They said the driver said there was no "gate code" provided, however, THERE IS NO GATE! There is no gate code, nothing like that. There is a security door and there is a phone number for couriers to call posted on a sign on each entrance, so it is obvious the driver did not even stop at any entrance to notice anything like that. I informed the people at that phone number, who are staffing an office on the property, about this delivery in advance and they were not contacted by any courier. I have now launched a twitter (X) account to tweet at DHL about the matter, I have a possibly ongoing email dialogue with an agent with a reference number, and I am awaiting the agent I chatted with to respond with some news, but all they have to do is deliver the package or give me the option to pick it up, and I have heard nothing back yet.
The contents of the package is a certificate of English language teaching, which is very hard to have reissued. I worked very hard to earn it, and the entire chain in the shipping industry worked fine until it got to Denver, where I live, and it is here where their customer service began to shine with total incompetence and dishonesty. I have spent days waiting at home to receive the package, putting everything else in life off, and I'm still sitting here waiting. I'm exhausted, my nerves are shot, and I don't know what else to do. I still haven't received my package! This is unbelievably pitiful customer service. I didn't know the school was going to send it to me through DHL. I thought it would be through UPS. If I had the choice, I would definitely NOT have chosen DHL as a shipping company.

DHL attempts to deliver after working hours, does not update you on attempts to deliver so you can arrange for delivery, cancels delivery without notice, and is the source of major inconvenience. GO WITH UPS OR FEDEX INSTEAD. I cannot emphasize enough how much of a waste of time and money DHL is to its customers. Also horrible customer service. Offers no viable alternatives and increases delivery times by one month after paying a ton of money to get the package delivered quickly.

I made the mistake of shipping a time sensitive part from Texas to Utah. I paid Extra to receive the part TODAY and it did not arrive. I went back to the Tracking just to discover that the package was shipped from TEXAS to OHIO. The Customer Service Department tried to use COVID as an excuse for it not being delivered on time and that was followed by they are not responsible for the Delay (if they are not, then who is?).
They then informed me that even though I paid for the Express Shipping, they do not provide a refund for THEIR ERROR. This was then followed by them informing me that even though delivery was scheduled for Thursday, it will not be here by Friday either and hopefully it will be here by Monday. DO NOT SHIP WITH DHL, they do not provide a service that you pay extra for and then do not stand behind their services or lack thereof.

DHL missed the first pickup day. 3 days later, a person came and did not bring a bag for the package as requested. Was extremely rude and unhelpful. There was no attempt to resolve the situation or even talk with me.

It's no wonder no US companies use them anymore. They are incompetent and refuse take ownership of their mistakes. If it is customer sign for package. Then the customer should sign not the driver. And they accepted this and said I received my deliver. Thank goodness for my credit card company or I'd be screwed!

This shipping company held my package and did not send me an invoice for the duties. I only noticed that it was being held by seeing it with my tracking number from eBay. I had an unbelievable time trying to get through to the right department just to pay my bill. The Canadian website gave me a link via a chat bot that took me to the UK department and when I finally got a live chat there, they told me I needed to go back to the Canadian site, which is exactly how I got the UK site. It took a lot of searching to finally get a live person who said he would send a link to my cell phone and didn't. He also dropped the call as I waited to get put through to give feedback on my experience.

I can't believe this company is still in business. Anytime I've ever had something shipped to me via DHL, the actual delivery time was weeks beyond the estimated delivery dates and that is only when I actually received my packages. Half the time my stuff got lost in shipping only to spend a month of getting the runaround between DHL and the company that used them as the carrier to ship my items. This outfit needs to pull the plug and call it quits. They can't get anything right. I would rate them negative stars if I could.

ZERO Stars. Think twice before you ship using DHL. They have zero accountability or regard for fixing issues. They give no protection or care if they are leaving customers out hundreds of dollars. I sent a package in December out through Staples by DHL. The package was going to Cabo San Lucas, it contained gifts (a valued name brand backpack, baby clothing, two Goorin Bros hats). The package was valuable and I ensured it to be safe. I paid over $200 to ship the package. The package arrived in Mexico and it was held in Queretaro, far from Cabo. Tracking said "shipping event".
At that point - the receivers were told they needed an "import license" and had to hire a customs broker - I called DHL and they told me the items shipped were prohibited from being shipped into the country and gifts were inadmissible! Why wasn't I informed of this prior to shipping - I would have never shipped it!? THEN rather than sending the parcel back to me - it was held for a "period" of time, and tracking stated that an authorization request had been submitted to have the package DISPOSED! DISPOSED? Who authorized this request without contacting the shipper?!? Even with return address, email and contact phone numbers in this day and age?
Customer service was of ZERO help, they said they made attempts to have the package removed from the "DISPOSAL bin" to no success. In this day and age this is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. It looks like the items were stolen in Mexico, or confiscated by customs - there is something seriously shady going on here. NOW Staples is trying to make an insurance claim for the value of the contents, and we are waiting. DHL - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. Your company is awful and embarrassing. What has transpired is unconscionable. Now I am out almost a thousand dollars!

DHL express shipping, They are known for losing packages. They recently lost another package of mines. They say to set a date for delivery but do not deliver on that date. I sent about 3 different dates. Also I had to call them several times just to find that out. My package was coming from China and it was personalized. I am pissed at their service. Very bad service. They really really need to be shutdown now!!!!

On 1-4-24 I was scheduled to have a very important package with parts for my car. I am scheduled to have the work done the next day. The driver never came on the grounds to make a delivery. No driver is seen anywhere on security cameras. I live in a gated community where all deliveries are to go to the security gate in order to gain access. I and my wife was home at the time. No ring from my bell, no knock on the door. As signature was required upon delivery. This seriously has to stop. This happens EVERY TIME I’m expecting a delivery from them. This was an issue in the past numerous times. What’s worse is I was willing to go to the dispatch center, but as a lot of companies, their customer service call center is based overseas so it’s difficult to fully understand their customer and get professional customer support from its reps.
I strongly suggest that e-commerce companies DO NOT ship with DHL if they want their packages delivered in a timely fashion with drivers lying about making a delivery attempt. Something need to be done about this. Amazon, Post Office, UPS and FedEx have no problems delivering packages. This is a reoccurring issue that need to be addressed if not by them then through consumer affairs. Nothing will be done if the issue’s not addressed and rectified.

I ordered items from overseas and was promised that the package would arrive on 1/3/24 and it was changed to 1/2/24. The package never arrived. I waited an extra day to see if the package would arrive. It did not. Called customer service. They said they would investigate and get back to me the following day, which they did. I was told told by a rep that my package was out on the delivery truck and out for delivery. 5pm comes around and no package. I called and was told by another rep that DHL could not find my package and they confirmed it was lost. Now according to them I have to file a claim when it was their fault that they lost my package. One of the worst delivery carriers.

Like many big companies, DHL has shipped their entire customer service team off-shore so if you have an issue with your delivery right here in the USA, BEST OF LUCK getting a message to your driver if in fact they continue delivering your package to the wrong address or didn't make the 1% effort to walk to the correct door of your apartment. When I called back to get a local DHL # to try and contact a store, they actually told me that wasn't possible!?!? LOL... They actually don't want to talk to you here. Better off using USPS, a gov't. organization because at least they know where their trucks are.

What annoys me the most with you is that I ordered it in advance at the beginning of December and it's already a month away and you don't feel like arriving. Was expecting a package and DHL gave me a delivery date. It wasn’t until AFTER the delivery date had passed that they updated the delivery date to a new date. We’ll see if it gets delivered on the new date.

DHL needs to be shutdown. I scheduled to pick my package up from service point and they gave me the address of where it can be picked up. I called customer service to confirm before driving an hour and they told me they made a mistake so the package would be delivered to my home. I called back to confirm then they said they didn’t have the correct address which was a lie, I confirmed my address with them several times. Then they sent a notification saying there was a failure and they couldn’t deliver my package and that I can pick it up at the service center Saturday and Sunday for me to find out the service center is closed both days and now I can receive my package for another 3 or 4 days because of the holiday. I spoke to a supervisor and the supervisor was rude with me. There has to be something we can do about this because as I can see I’m not the only one that has an issue with dhl.

Do yourself a favor and choose any courier service other than DHL. They are the least reliable delivery company on the planet. They sent a message saying they could not deliver package because no one was at home. Liar, I was home all day & night that date. There's no way to talk to a live person, everything is automated, digital responses. I was told they will try again next day! Never happened, I'm still waiting to find out where my package is. Tracking showed they never even came to my city, so how did they "attempt" to deliver if you are in the wrong city? Stay away from dhl services, what a nightmare it's been.

Yesterday I received tracking that my package would be delivered between 8 and 10 pm. At 8:30 I received notification that my package would not be delivered. AT 10:30 this morning I received notification my package would be delivered between 8 and 10 pm. I sat outside of my building from 7:30pm until 8:30pm when I again received notification my package would not be delivered. I called their customer service that told me the driver had too many packages. My window was 8-10pm and at 8:30 was told it would not be delivered. Their customer service is now closed and all I can do is file a complaint. It makes no sense to put a package on a truck two days in a row if you have no intent to deliver the package. The closest location to redirect the package is 31 miles away.

Yesterday they delivered my package to the wrong address, there is no evidence of the delivery of the package. Call to make the claim but if they cannot recover it, they will not be responsible for the loss. I am very dissatisfied and for me they have terrible service.

Send the package to Columbia consisting of sons original birth certificate, passport, social security and travel consent form due for a trip on December 24th. It is now December 27th and nobody has a clue as to where the package is. I have lost 1,700 in flight tickets and an additional $300 for hotel reservations. It seems as if nobody cares what my situation is. Not to mention they moved out the apartment and I'm paying for a hotel till I get my paperwork.

Ordered a Xmas gift for my husband in early December with promise from the seller it would be delivered between the 15th and 20th of December. The seller shipped it via DHL and it arrived at the local DHL office on Dec 18th (per tracking) and I received a text that it would be delivered that day. We were home all day and no delivery attempt was ever made, yet tracking said that there was a "failed delivery attempt". Then I received a text it would be delivered on the 19th, then on the 20th, then on the 21st, then on the 22nd....No delivery attempts were made on any of these dates and I finally had to go out and buy another gift so my husband would have something for Xmas.
I reached out to DHL customer service twice and they were no help...Didn't seem to know any more about my package than I did and told me to just keep monitoring it on-line. I received a text today (Dec 26th) saying it would be delivered today and, you guessed it, no delivery was attempted. Now it says it will be delivered tomorrow. I have lost hope that I will ever see this package. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a shipping company and reading other reviews, it sounds like I am not alone. Right now a full 83% of reviews for DHL give it a one star rating.

My son's shipment from Goat was received at a Dallas, TX facility on December 19th, 2023 at 7:28am and to this date (Dec. 26, 2023) has not been received, it has been placed on Hold. I found some phone numbers online and tried calling one and she stated that she would let them know to ship out today. I found another phone number and another lady stated that they needed to know if this shipment was to be "picked up" or "delivered to the address". What!!! No phone call. No email. No letter stating they needed more information from us. I mean, there is an address on the package/shipment that has our address, so Why did they need to know Where it needed to be picked up or delivered? This was a very expensive Christmas gift for my son. No communication and no package as of yet. Disappointed doesn't nearly describe how I feel about this situation.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I have never had a package delivered in less than 2-3 weeks time even though the tracking says otherwise. I ordered a gift on Etsy for my son for Christmas on November 28…Got notice that it shipped Dec. 4 and had a tracking number. From December 4 to today, the tracking says it is being processed in Raleigh, NC. I will never again order from any company that “ships” DHL. I will pay more to request delivery by anyone else.

For several days my grandson kept getting a text that his package was out for delivery. Driver never showed up then lied and said business was closed. For 3 days text was showing package was to be delivered. You can never talk to a live person in customer service, all robotic text. Worst worst customer service ever. Ordered rings from Greece. Paid extra to have them here in time for Christmas. Company shipped them and they arrived 90 miles from my house and then disappeared. Was promised by online chat and by people on phone that they would be here on the 18th, 19th, 20th, and still not here. Customer relations expert says she does not know where they are, so I guess all the others were not telling the truth. Worst company ever. Would give negative stars if I could. Do not use.

Worst delivery service ever. Couple of my packages are delayed. After their estimated delivery date have passed I wrote them an email to ask for assistance. Their reason for delay is because of the high volume of shipments and there is no EDD available! I mean isn't high volume of shipment good for their business? How is it a surprise? Isn't moving stuffs is what they're supposedly good at? I just don't understand their business guarantee of getting your packages before the holidays and then screw up in the process - fundamental criteria of a scam! If you have other options, stay away from DHL. Otherwise put a review because technically that's the only thing you can do when you've already paid for their service.

Shipment from China. Made it to El Paso TX, Placed on hold because can't ship to p.o. box. Shipping address is physical location residential property. After hours of trying to contact DHL, finally found an email address. Stated the problem and DHL responded that problem had been resolved and package would arrive next day. The next day received email that package was on hold again and that I needed to contact them again. Their computerized phone system will not let you talk to a real person, neither does their chatbot.

DHL is impossible to deal with. I was looking for third party carrier information and was told I had a package that had a freight charge (not true). I had to keep calling back and after 6 attempts I finally was able to get the information I needed. There is a lack of communication and customer service skills with DHL. I would never choose them for any shipments I make.

On December 11th my package was delivered torn wide open and The Courier signed my signature and it did not report whatever happened to open the package with almost all of my order gone. Of 17 items I only received 15.

My order was shipped through DHL. First I got a text for me to consent to delivering the package without a signature. I filled that out and signed it. Next I get a message that my package is on hold. After a week of my package being on hold in my State only 25 minutes away from my home, I email inquiring why my package was on hold. I was told there is no action or response required of me. My package is on hold for the Christmas Holiday. Are you kidding me??? My package has holiday gifts in it, which is the reason it was ordered over a month ago. Now I cannot disburse gifts because my package is on hold for the Christmas Holiday??

I’m set to get married today but unfortunately this has been a horrible experience due to me not receiving my DHL package in time. The original delivery date was set for 12/11/23. I stayed home from work with hopes I would be able to receive my package and monitored the cameras and doors for the day. I received a notification later on 12/11/23 at about 2:40 pm stating a delivery attempt was made but no one was available. That wasn’t true because no delivery attempt was made in fact my security cameras can confirm that.
I contacted customer service with hopes I would receive my package the following day on 12/12/23, however that didn’t happen. I called customer service again, I was assured my package would be delivered the next business day on 12/13/23 that didn’t happen. I was told ok it will be delivered on 12/14/23 and again no package. I need an update on where the package is. This has already caused great stress to me on a day that should’ve filled with happiness. Today 12/15/23 still no update or communication on when the package will come. I’m constantly being told they are waiting for the service center to respond.

I never received my package!! I waited and watched the tracking all day!!! It kept saying that I was next but no one ever showed up!! Now it’s saying that my package is on HOLD???? I ordered an Apple product. They used DHL for shipping. I work full time so had to take a day off to receive the package. The package did not arrive. I spoke numerous times with customer service reps and supervisors who were not helpful. They could not reroute package nor arrange delivery without signature. They kept telling me different things about the location and shipment of the package. Finally they said they would open an investigation. That was the last time I heard from them. I could not be more frustrated. I have never had this experience with FEDEX, UPS, USPS or other specialty shippers. This is the worst shipping company ever. Do your diligence and never ever ever use them.

Be careful when you order any product because if it's DHL delivery service forget about it. My purchase is stuck in limbo in the DHL service. UPS and FedEx are 100% more reliable. Just read the DHL reviews before you order a product and make sure they are not used for the delivery service.

I had a package shipped "Express Easy" from Cape Town, RSA to Courtenay, BC, Canada. The package was handed in on Tuesday 14th, November. It left Cape Town the same day, and arrived at a DHL sort facility in Vancouver, BC, 72 hours (3 days) later. The package left the sort facility at 12:31 on Friday, 17th after clearing Customs. Delivery was due by end of business on Wed, 22nd (5 days later) at the latest. The package did not turn up on time. I might add that it is a half hour drive to the ferry, a 1hr 45m ferry ride to Vancouver Island, and a 2 hour drive to Courtenay. No package after 5 days.
I complained to DHL, I received 2 emails acknowledging the problem, and they were dealing with it. In BOTH emails, I was asked if I would like to sign up for a DHL account. Given that I was complaining about their service, this seemed to me to be the height of insensitivity. After some back and forth with DHL, whose agent in Courtenay was not answering the phone, and whose mailbox was full, I went to the facility to pick up the package. The agent had to search for it in the warehouse for some time before finding it. I suggested that compensation might be in order. I have not heard from DHL since.

Order a product from overseas. DHL was vendor’s contracted shipper. DHL did not attempt to deliver on date noted on tracking stating they did not have address. I called to confirm info. Did not attempt to deliver at next date. Said the tracking to them to back of my house. Gave them info - needed signature. Stayed home from work - they did not attempt to deliver. Change delivery address at their suggestion. Had two confirmations. Had to wait at new location since they would not leave package without signature. Did not attempt to deliver. Now saying someone will call me in three days but they cannot locate my package. And I could request a refund. Never told me the same thing twice - but never attempted to deliver.

I ordered a prescription medication that was shipped via DHL on 11/09/2023. The morons at DHL have thus far spent 10 days transporting the package from the shipper in St Louis to Berkley, Grand Prairie, Palestine Texas, Phoenix, back to Berkley, and now it's been in Portland since yesterday. If you email them, they send back an automated response that essentially says "we couldn't care less about your problems. you'll get the package when we get around to it".

This has been the worst experience, my first and last time using this shipment method! Every day I call customer service and every day my package will be delivered “TOMORROW” and there’s no option to pick it up because they claim that the sender didn’t choose that option. I ordered a gift for my father as a gift and I didn’t know by putting his number of the package that DHL would call him Without first attempting to deliver his package. So something that was supposed to be a surprise has now become a nightmare! Since he didn’t know about the package he said he didn’t order it, which yes he didn’t order it! I did! So I call to have the issue rectified and the rep said the issue is resolved and they would call my father again and they did call because he verified that DHL called and verified his address and everything and that they would deliver his package the following day.
It has now been 3 days and still no delivery! And every time I try and track the package it still says on HOLD! The package is not even far away and yet can’t seem to make it to its destination. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement! I have been calling for it every day and every day I get the same story that tomorrow the package will be delivered! It has now been 3 tomorrows and no package! And no update when you track the package either! What a NIGHTMARE! I swear I don’t care how much I like something if I see DHL is the one delivery thing I will not bother!

DHL is refusing to deliver my order from the US for unpaid duty. I have asked on numerous occasions to see invoice for the duty into Canada as 60% seems very high. They have yet to provide that information and are holding my parcel hostage. I will ensure that I do not order anything from any company that uses DHL as their delivery service. Most disappointed.

Was promised dates and times they would update me only for that to be changed three times with no helpful information. Terrible customer and delivery service. Have not received my package. Customer service agents blame lack of delivery on "issues at customs office beyond our control". Difficult to even reach customer service and when you do, every single agency spoke in broken English, barely understood. Lack of accountability, next to no notification on your packages, constant "text notifications" with no human contact or follow up, or information on anyone to call, just redirecting you to their website. All I can say is never, never, never again. I wish I saw these reviews before I arranged to have my package delivered by DHL.
I am basically assuming at this point that my goods have been lost, misplaced, or forgotten between Cdn customs and DHL. It's hard to have learned this lesson the hard way considering on the money spent and care I took to have my items delivered, but still rather than use these crooks on items that might have been far more valuable in the future. The worst shipper and worst experience with international delivery ever.

Two out of three shipments have been delivered to the incorrect address and could not be retrieved due to the incompetent delivery drivers who either steal your packages or drop them off purposely at incorrect addresses. The two I signed a signature release for and those two were lost. NEVER EVER do a signature release with this worthless shipping company and their incompetent employees who also do not help. My recent issue was opened two days ago and was give us 24 hours. I call back and they ask for another 24 hours. I call back again today and they said, "We will contact you by the end of business on Monday." ALWAYS GET SIGNATURE VERIFICATION AND NEVER SIGN A RELEASE FOR A SIGNATURE WITH THIS INCOMPETENT COMPANY. I have also just filed a suit against them for this. Absolutely ridiculous.

If I could not give a single star it would have been better. It's been two weeks. My package has not arrived. The customer care and the Phoenix branch holding my package the second time. The people working in the Phoenix branch are not capable of working as they are not concerned. I assume they are playing around with my package from Tucson the destination to their branch and holding it for no reason. I don't understand. How do they expect a handicapped lady to drive all the way to Phoenix from Tucson for her diabetics medication. Since 2 weeks I am waiting for the package of medications. I recently made a purchase of an expensive piece of equipment from Nantes, France, for my work. Unfortunately, my experience with the shipment has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. In addition, I would appreciate any details from them that could help build a stronger case against this unacceptable delay and lack of communication.

DHL delivered a package I had been waiting for for three weeks to the wrong address. I notified them of this error within the hour of the wrong delivery and they informed me that I should get the package by the end of the business day. This went on for six days, and then they told me that they could not retrieve it and I was responsible to notify the shipper. I informed them that THEY were responsible and they could either reimburse me or they could notify the shipper and explain their incompetence.

DHL has the most DISHONEST delivery drivers!!! I was supposed to receive a package today. First, I received a message stating the delivery was 20 stops away. A few minutes later, I received another text message stating that there was an update to my delivery. They never showed up. I had been waiting in my front room ever since I received the text with the ETA. They logged the delivery as if they had attempted to deliver and that no one was available. They even lied about leaving a card on the door. The driver was in a whole other city. I would NOT advise any reputable company to use DHL if they want customers to receive their packages on time.

First, my shipment was delayed at customs in Atlanta, according to DHL, when I called them after multiple attempts. Today, they failed to deliver, stating the incorrect address. I corrected the address within less than 5 minutes of getting the text. I called them, and the agent told me she would initiate a trace despite telling her the shipments were wedding outfits for this Friday. I asked to meet the driver to pick up the item since it’s been less than 10 minutes. Her answer was no. It’s going the way to the house, and they will call me back. I called again and contacted someone who informed me the driver would deliver tonight after explaining my reasons to him—no delivery by 8 PM EST. I finally got a hold of some at 8:50 p.m. Despite my asking to have the shipment delivered first thing in the morning since no one will be home after 10 a.m.. We’d have 10/19 until Sunday. I still got a no response.
"Can I pick up the shipment before 12?" Her answer was no, I will get a text when it’s ready for pick. "Could you send a message to the driver?" No. I was irate, to say the least. The address is still wrong despite being corrected online and with three human beings. Very uncaring attitude. I need to speak with a supervisor. She said someone will call me back in 90 minutes. No phone call was received. I called at 10;30 PM. The office was closed. What a bunch of uncaring human beings. Don’t care if they ruin someone’s wedding day. DHL HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS OVER 30 YEARS. DHL said they would deliver a package today and then sent an email saying that they attempted to deliver the package but no one was home. We were home all day and we have a camera at our gate and front door and no DHL person attempted to deliver the package. At 3:00 PM I called DHL and they said that they couldn't do anything about their lack of delivery. This is an important corporate document that needs to be signed and returned today. DHL promised to have a supervisor call within the next 90 minutes. 3 hours later no call. Not only does DHL not perform as promised they lie about their performance and then fail to follow through a second time when contacted. I will have my organization delete our account with DHL.

My package was not delivered to my house. I received a "confirmation" via a picture of my package on someone else's porch. When I called DHL to locate my package they told me it was delivered to the correct address and to confirm based on the photo. I told them the photo was not my house and it was delivered to the wrong address. They argued with me that they delivered it to the right one, when they clearly did not. The delivery was also supposed to be signed for, but they just left it on the porch or a completely different address. When I asked where it was delivered to, they wouldn't tell me and said the delivery was considered a loss. Never ship through this company EVER.

My package arrived from China as the tracking suggested which I thought was impressive. The delivery driver for some unknown reason to us and the DHL office literally sat outside our home (caught on security cam) for a minute and drove off without leaving the package. But, customer service was awesome, had the package held, the office at 1922 Old Murfreesboro Road likewise couldn't have been more apologetic and shared the driver was suspended, and then I got a really nice care package in the mail a couple of days later which was incredible! I've had issues with all the carriers but this is the first that did anything about it but make excuses. From the very helpful customer service, super nice office staff to a care package! I tried shipping a cell phone from the United States to Belize. I was charged over $200. DHL lost the phone for 10 days. When it resurfaced, there was no apology or explanation. Then I was told I had to go back to my bank and do a wire transfer in order to pay the duty, that I was otherwise not able to use my credit card. The next day I get a threatening email from DHL telling me they're going to return the item if I don't do the wire transfer within 24 hours. This is a company with no accountability.

We are house sitting on Martha's Vineyard. A parcel (valued at $208 USD) was left at our door by DHL. It was addressed to a different address -- similar but not identical (... Road instead of ... Way). When we checked on the delivery status, DHL's website claimed that it was signed for by the person to whom it was addressed. No one signed for the parcel. Trying to get information from DHL on how to solve the problem was impossible. Customer service doesn't recognize a problem of this sort. We finally (but far from easily) tracked down the person to whom it was supposed to go and he will come by to pick it up. We have emailed the DHS "we.care@dhl.com".

My shipment was being delivered to a different address in a different state and when I contacted customer service the guy I spoke with was very rude and made no sense whatsoever. I explained they were trying to deliver my package to the wrong address in a different state than where I'm located and he just sighed and continued to say they would re-deliver it to that location the next day. He went on to say the driver tried to deliver it but I wasn't home so it was my fault and started going on about some drop off locations.
I was trying hard as ever to tell him I don't live in Florida and give him my address in Georgia but he refused to hear me. My first package was delivered to my address but my second package that contained way more items was being delivered to an address I've never lived in and a state I don't reside in. After he continued to sigh and tell me they were still going to deliver the package to the wrong address, I gave up and just said thank you. Worst experience ever. I wish companies only used FEDEX or UPS.

When calling this morning the representative said that the driver could not make it on time to do the delivery for the last 3 days...I have no answer to that...the address has been verified and the tracking system shows it is out for delivery today (it is saying that for last 3 days). Got confirmation that my package was delivered but I got nothing so called DHL and they said they would investigate. Next day the driver comes to my house saying he remembers delivering package to my house the day before. I said first of all I don't remember him at all and asked if he remembered me? He said no. And second package was not delivered yesterday but the day before. He say they deliver 100s of pkgs is hard to remember where he delivered it to??? He say they will check GPS on his truck for 2 days ago. Well they show it was in the area.
They could've been parked across the street for all I know. And the signature is totally not my signature. Which I showed them. They say they investigate more. So next day I call to follow up. They say GPS shows they was in the area and they have signature so now need to go to their claims dept. I call the claims and they say I need file a claim because it shows the case was closed??? But when I look at the claim site they referred me it says the shipper has to do the claim. All I got was the runaround. And I still don't have my product. :(

DHL is probably one of the WORST shipping companies to exist. Forget about getting your package on time. If you contact them to update your address, you still won't get your package or it won't be updated; you may contact their customer representatives and they either can't locate your tracking, give you the wrong address after you've updated them, or disconnect you without notice; and even if they have the right address you still won't get your package. Their customer service is AWFUL and I wouldn't ever, EVER ship with them.

Then they set up the status to "en route" and the time stamp changes to the current time every time you refresh the page, so the 2 weeks can never pass.

DHL is made me very frustrated, They never deliver the package on time. The service is horrible. They said, "Your package is out for delivery on one day" and never delivered after that. At least expected the package next day but they said they have no bandwidth to do the delivery and they postpone the delivery to future date. They expect you to pick up from the location so that they can save the gas, driver salary etc., They are lazy, they cheat with wrong status. This is really ridiculous service.

DHL delivery service is the worst we ever used! DHL are charging very expensive fees for just an envelope and DHL delivery is not contacting the customer when is at the address!! We paid the same amount on delivery and taxes as we paid for the product itself and you did not make a call to the provided contact number. We are a DHL member with all contact details in the DHL system! All other services always delivered to our address without issues! DHL drivers just simulates the contact and will post a sticker with "sorry we missed you!" to the building entrance for this very expensive service! Absolutely ridiculous for the amount we pay! We will make sure this feedback will go to all contacts with DHL and more! Our parcel will have to eventually wait until next week because now is weekend.
To be clear, $25 taxes and fees charged by DHL Canada for a $50 product of 15 grams, the size of an SD memory card!! If you need to see the invoice, let me know! Well, yes. You will say "this single complaint for $25? Yes, I am delivering a professional IT service and I am paid with this amount for 1 hour!!! I ordered a package coming from the UK which was sent via DHL. Today DHL sent me a text saying my package was delivered. I looked at their proof of delivery and there was another name and address listed there. I went through their web of avoidance and found a way to email them about it and they said it was 'delivered correctly.' IT WAS NOT. They have very poor customer service. I ordered a music CD from CD Japan. The product was shipped on a 2 day service using DHL. I went online to DHL's website indicating it was a business delivery and the business closed at 4:30 pm. DHL attempted delivery at 8:24 pm but could not leave it as the place was closed. I did another delivery request, once more telling them it's a business and restated the business hours. It is now 4:15 pm and no sign of the courier. They say they may deliver at 5pm, but I can't trust that. I did get an email from them yesterday saying they were a few stops away, but they had come and gone before I got the email. I even requested text notifications, but that has proven useless. If I order from CD Japan again, I will pay more for FedEx as FedEx is far more reliable and pays attention to customer requests in my opinion.

The charge they told me when I used on line system went up by over 30% in the final receipt. I used their standard pouch. They added something called 'dimensional weight' of 1.2 lbs to weight of 2 lbs that included the weight of the pouch! Made it over 3 lbs. What a ripoff!! DHL has provided some packages on time and in good order, but the customer service can be infuriating. I recently received a damaged package from DHL and started a painful and fruitless customer service odyssey. I went from emailing the only human that communicated with me to calling customer service which eventually got me to the claims process. I spent considerable time putting together photos and other required information for the claim, waited two weeks and was informed that only the shipper can put in the claim (note: I'm in Canada and the shipper is in Spain). The shipper wasn't responsible for the damage, knew nothing about the claim and shouldn't receive any compensation for my damaged package.
I then spent over a month emailing the shipper with claim details and follow ups only to be completely ignored resulting in a dead end despite doing everything DHL asked me to. DHL Canada refused to communicate with CBSA, DHL Spain or the shipper and just washed their hands with me so now I just have a damaged package. I guess I should just expect bureaucratic nonsense from a large company but that doesn't make me feel any better.

The online service was not consistent. I need help with an online shipping estimate and creating a label. Telephone support, Valerie and Julia did not seem to care about helping me. They have per-written answers with no problem solving ideas. "Go to the website to for the information you need." The third person I spoke with, I think was Rachel. She helped me fill out the form and proceed to finish the label. The system asked for a payment card, however it notified me that I could not use a card for the purpose. Rachel explain that only cash was accepted for this country destination. Therefore I could not create the label online. I must go to the local DHL office with cash. She said the online discount would probably not apply, but to take the cost estimate with me to the office.
Now I had to make a special trip to the bank for $300 cash for payment. I got to the DHL office and there is a big sign saying "we do not accept cash". AT the counter was a young gal, BRIANNA. She put me at ease immediately with her empathy, knowledge and efficiency. She took care of the label, the payment by credit card. The cost was less than the online estimate. She reassured me that DHL takes pride in its service and genuinely cares about their customers. Brianna was excellent. She turned my bad day into a good day. Thank you Brianna.

I had a few bad experiences with them in the past where they either didn't deliver or they said they will deliver but didn't deliver until I had a phone battle with them. I going through a bad one now with them. Every time they say they will deliver they don't. I keep getting their message that the delivery is on its way and then I get a message "sorry we missed you" which is their standard message when they don't deliver if the driver couldn't make it (they blame you). Now I am being told that I asked to return to sender (when I didn't) even though I am getting a message saying that they will deliver. DON'T USE. Very frustrating to deal with them. Their customer services will hang-up on you if they can't help you or if you are frustrated.

3-8-23: I order my meds from Express Script, who uses DHL e-commerce as their courier. Usually delivers in 3-5 days. Except this time it's been stuck in DHL's Hebron, KY hub for the last 6 days. I was repeatedly told by customer svc rep I would need to contact Express Scripts to see how Express Scripts resolves issues per their policy. That's total nonsense. It's stuck in DHL's hub. There's nothing Express Script can do about that. DHL took no responsibility nor did they try to locate the item. It's DHL's problem.

In one instance the driver pulled into our driveway and pulled out without even getting out of the truck. I drove and caught up with him 1.5 miles away and got the package with no excuse from him. If I could go back and pay an extra HUNDRED dollars to use a carrier who will actually deliver I would do it over very differently. Be prepared to watch your packages sit in warehouses for weeks on end, and their "customer service" is a nonexistent joke. I literally can't wait to get my money back. This has been so ridiculous. Worst service I have ever dealt with. Useless customer service. Said my package was delivered 6 days ago. It was not. When I contacted them, they tell me they are going to figure it out. Every single day I get another email, extending the time they will get back to me. With the same information as the last email, which is none. I reply to emails and they just don't answer them but they for sure send another, different email (same words, extending the time to get a resolution) every day though. Seriously, don't use these clowns. I'm out about $200 and a birthday present for my 16 year old son. They also told me that I could not open an investigation into where my package is. Only the sender can do that.

This delivery service is trash. They gave me a delivery date and when it did not show up they said the delivery date is incorrect and won’t be there until the 13th. Ordered product on the 3rd delivery date was the 9th and now they are saying the delivery date is now the 13th. The product left Dallas on the 6th… I live 2 hours from Dallas so why the delay… just trash ** service.

I am not sure how DHL manages to stay in business with such a bad service. I was left waiting 45 minutes in the lobby expecting a parcel delivery per their notification, which never arrived. The notification system was delayed and inaccurate. Ultimately I received a message that delivery was attempted but not successful as nobody was available to hand over the parcel!? Utter lie! Based on the tracking map, the delivery van was not even close to the delivery point.
Customer service "was not able to contact the driver". This is unbelievable! What other delivery service cannot contact their drivers? USPS, UPS, Fedex, Amazon and other delivery companies provide by far superior service compared to DHL Express. I wonder why would any business use DHL to deliver their products to customers. Such a bad service does not affect DHL customers but also those that deliver their products to buyers. From now on I shall buy products only from those sellers that does not use DHL for delivery.

Received email my order was delivered and it wasn't. I called to find it, was told it was at the ecommerce division. Called there and she told me it was the previous division and then blamed the post office. She was RUDE and wouldn't bother to tell me where it was delivered. NEVER USE DHL. They don't know how to do their jobs.

I wasted my lunch break yesterday trying to drop off a package to this location, listed on DHL's own website as a DHL Service Point: PARTNER - QWIK PACK & SHIP 3350 Footbridge Lane Suite 124 28306 NC, FAYETTEVILLE. The man behind the counter there refused to ship my package, in spite of the fact there was even a DHL sign in his window. He insisted that I had to call DHL to schedule pickup.
I called DHL to schedule pickup and was told someone would come between 10 AM and noon today. It's now 1 PM, no one has come, and I was forced to waste my lunch break for a second day in a row. This is the only time I can get out of the house during daylight hours to go for a run and handle my personal business, so I am extremely mad that the company has wasted this time for me two days in a row. DHL clearly does no value their customers' time, and I will never use this company to have anything shipped or delivered again. I also will not order from any company that uses them for shipping. They're terrible.

This company has poor communication between actual reality and what it presents to its customers through their website tracking information. You as the customer may see what appears to be your package very close to its destination yet when you speak to the customer service rep you will find out the package actually has yet to even be picked up. Do not use this service if you are expecting a delivery in a timely fashion. I never would expect a company to lie to its customers that a package is further in the process than it really is.

Renewed my passport that required a signature. Driver just left it in my carport. I received a minimum of 10 (stopped counting) requests from DHL on the tracking app to change to “no signature required”. Since it was a passport coming from New Zealand, a signature verifying it was delivered to the correct person was pretty important. Pathetic.

Over the summer I was expecting a DHL package - I authorized delivery without signature. My package never arrived. I called DHL and they contacted the driver who said he left the package between my door and the storm door (I don't have storm doors). Since I authorized delivery without a signature they said there was nothing I could do.
Now a second package is missing. It was supposed to be delivered Dec. 23. It was a gift for my mother so she stayed home all day to sign for the package, but it was never delivered. Customer service is closed all day today and only chat bots are churning out scripted responses, no live agents. Use any shipper other than DHL!

DHL never sent notification my package was sitting a parcel facility. Facility was closed two days before Christmas. My grand kids will not get their gifts on Christmas. I’m so upset. Always a issue with DHL. I wish SHEIN stop using them.

DHL = Delivery Hopelessly Lost. This morning I stayed home waiting for an international package from DHL. I received a noticed that they attempted delivery at 10:39. I was home, and nobody delivered anything. I complained. They said they needed a code to get in the gate. Also untrue. Uph! I suggest using carrier pigeon or pony express before using DHL.

First of all, they will hold your package with crap excuses because they don't have the manpower to run the business, they get bottlenecked and put your package on hold with a dirty excuse. WORST OF ALL, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a live person on the phone or chat, simply because they don't have anyone to talk with customers, you get in a maze of bots and go no where. AVOID DHL BY ALL MEANS!

I sent a box of Christmas presents from my home in Florida to my daughter in Ireland. The shipper used DHL for clearance and delivery in Ireland. I carefully wrapped the presents and packed the box, unaware that each item would be unwrapped at customs. Since I had room in the box, I sent stocking stuffers, some mail, and other little items of no real value. I was also unaware that each item would be itemized on the customs form, so each present was unwrapped, each item listed, and I paid 5 euros for each item after the first 5 items. Seventy euros - on top of the delivery fee, customs and taxes - just to itemize mail and chapsticks! When the box arrived at my daughter's home, it was unsealed and the items carelessly thrown in. It ruined my Christmas! DO NOT USE DHL!

I recently ordered a ceramic mug with a picture of my 3 month old daughter for her grandpa’s Christmas gift. I received the Styrofoam box it came in with finger size holes at the top and when I opened it, the mug was badly chipped right on the picture. Very disappointed in the delivery driver’s error, they rush to get things out and it ruined the gift. Not sure I want to order from that company again because they use DHL only.

Had an extremely frustrating experience with DHL. Package supposed to arrive Wednesday, they attempt to deliver at 7.00 pm at night. This is a place of business so there is no one to receive packages after 5.00 pm outside of business hours. So, I go online the next morning and schedule it specifically between 9.30 and 4.30pm for Friday. Wait all day for the delivery, and at 4.50 pm, still no package. Check the tracking and new delivery exception. Call them, they claim the premises can't be found. This is the same premises they found on Wednesday albeit when no one is there, no longer discoverable on Friday.
So he gives me the "option" of waiting till 8.00 pm with no guarantees they will deliver and no way to contact them, and they can reattempt delivery and I can wait there on a wing and a prayer. Of course, I do not have a lot of faith in this driver. So I said no. Then they said, "We can reattempt delivery on Monday." And I said, "How do I know you won't face the same challenges? This is what isn't making sense to me. If you can't find the premises depending on the day of the week, how can I trust you to deliver on Monday." So he says, I can pickup from the depot. So that's what I went with.
But that's not the end of the story, I get home and they have marked our address apparently as undeliverable because my supplier is sending a second package also unfortunately by DHL and lo and behold, the package that was going to be delivered is no longer. So I go and schedule the package for pickup, and it's 3 KM from the site. But it can't be delivered on the scheduled date anymore, I have to go one day later to pick it up. So two trips now for two packages, that simply should arrive at my door between 9.30am and 4.30pm during business hours. Apparently, this is too much to ask from DHL.

I bought an expensive piece of furniture on Etsy. The shipper shipped with DHL express. It was supposed to be delivered last Friday. I had to buy them everyday, I wasted an incredible amount of time to get an item I paid a lot of money for. Every day they said it was expected to be delivered today. Very unreliable people. They said that it was kept in hold waiting for a driver. Evidently they don't have drivers in SC. Probably because they don't want to pay people fairly. Left alone all the countless times, before this last experience, I had to run after them, because unless you explicitly require the delivery without signature, you have to sign, which should be the other way round. Every time I have to Dela with DHL it's a pain in the back and I will do my best to avoid this company in the future. On top of being very unprofessional, it costs A LOT of money

Please if you want to keep your sanity intact stay far away from this company. We used Dhl Express for a work Id that was left behind in London so it was at most important to get it back to Toronto. First issue we had with them was they wanted us to pay duty and tax charges for a piece of Id which is mind-boggling because it’s not goods that we purchased but it was something that was left behind by accident. Mind you, the package didn’t leave their facilities in London which also means it didn’t go through Customs here in Canada but yet they expect you pay (Scammers). The second time they held the package was they needed an Id from the sender (something about Interpol wanted list) we also provide the document on a timely manner which then they advised me it would start moving within five hours, but I found out later that it was held for days in their facilities in London.
I thought I would receive the package earlier than the promised date but as of now forget about past delivery date I don’t even know where my item is! This experience was energy, time and money (missed days of work due to Id) consuming. Every time I spoke to one of their agents I was lied to and was giving false hope. This truly stressed me out and I will never ever use DHL again.

My son ordered 3 items of clothing from MNML on the 6th of November and selected the pay duty and taxes upon delivery. The company delivering his package is DHL. He received an email yesterday morning stating in a very aggressive manner I might add, stating that my son owes them $150 for his package being in their possession for a time period which they failed to say how long for. The items haven't even left L.A. which is where they are coming from so to my assumption it has not passed through customs which means there should not be duty charges or possibly tax charges yet.
They are charging him for holding his package which makes absolutely no sense at all, are they not a delivery company did my so delay them some way, no, he did not, this is of their own actions. So why the $150 fee, as far as I can tell is they trying to shake down a minor for $150 like a common bully. It's unbelievable the way this company operates, I have had negative experiences myself with them through my Amazon orders that never showed up just a week prior to this. So it's not a one-time mistake, its continues as I have read others complaints about them on here. I plan to deal with this ASAP and find out why they are charging my son for their job.

My order has arrived. Gave 3 ✨ because my order never should have went the opposite direction at one point and the items was placed in my mailbox not on my deck near my door. It's $42.. There are plenty enough trucks to load packages for different directions to prevent them from going a different direction before the owner's direction. And lastly anything $40 or more should be placed near the owner's home door not a mailbox near the road to be stolen easily by others....

Do not use DHL to ship internationally; especially do not send any electronics to Latin America. Customs will charge exorbitant amounts to clear item, which is unaffordable to many people. This should be stated upfront to all customers. Do NOT send electronics through DHL to Latin America. I sent a used cellphone (worth $100) to Colombia to a struggling university student. Customs wanted over $300 to release the phone. We spent $200 to ship it there. I asked for the phone to be returned. DHL stated they could not do this. I asked for refund and it was denied. I appealed and was sent an email by David ** in return stating "it is not our fault that the receiver didn't want to pay the duties and taxes". The reason we were gifting this phone is because the student cannot afford to buy one. This comment was judgmental and unprofessional.
I called to speak to his supervisor and was told she would call me back. She never called. I called again and she was out of the office. When I finally got a hold of her, she stated no, she didn't return my call because she asked someone else to take care of it...who never contacted me. Bottom line; DHL is not professional, not reliable and not recommended.

It took 2 days from Northern England to Dallas then took 4 days, and 4 promised deliveries to get the next 10 miles. Twice said my address was not accessible on the same day UPS, Fed Ex, and Amazon made deliveries. I WOULD RATHER GET MY PACKAGE DELIVERED BY HORSE OR OWL AT THIS POINT (may swim to Germany). It has not been delivered yet and I have no faith it will. Terrible customer service and website. DO NOT USE SERVICE! The status of whatever you need to track is so vague, I have to Google what the status might mean.... and it gives me a host of possibilities. TO BE CLEAR - I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY PACKAGE YET. IT WAS RUSH DELIVERED AND I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 3.5 WEEKS.
Secondly, the customer service is ** brutal. The website is like getting stuck in the desert.... It would probably suck and you are delirious, thirsty and tired the entire time. I try to track my package and it gives me a customer service # that goes straight to a robot voice and no one to speak with. I genuinely have no idea how this company operates because then they give your package to another 'Express Service Point'.... and I am assuming.... By that time when those places have your package, I will probably have to finish a quest, save the world and pay $79.99 to get my package for whatever fake fee they make up. In summary, I am thinking of taking 2 weeks off work and swimming to Germany to speak with the owner of this company so he/she can stop hurting people via this delivery company. I think the best thing out of this would be visiting Germany and maybe getting my package. P.S. If it wasn't clear, I still do not have my package. Love, Josh

Package shipped via DHL. So far, 3 "attempts" to deliver package. First time, "incorrect address"; complete address was not applied to waybill even though it was provided correctly by Paypal. Second time, delivery "failed". Upon checking with customer service, I was told there was a "problem with truck". Third time delivery failed I was told it was because of "courier overload". I still do not have package and it is holding up my work. I rate DHL as an "avoid" business and I will likely not do future business with the company I ordered from if they insist on using DHL.

I ordered a present at the beginning of the month and here we are at the end of the month and it is ping ponging from NJ to Ohio then Illinois. Guess what, it is supposed to be delivered in PA!!!
