2 packages were supposed to be delivered to me, they were left at another address which should have been delivered to me. Genius package was received, pc that I was supposed to get i7 was traded in i5 and given to me and mini pc was broken.

Absolute garbage. Stated I would receive my package today. Charged me tariffs on the day of delivery. Still stated I would receive my package today. Took the day off. Only to find out halfway through the day my package was on hold in Boston. No way for me to pick it up until Friday. I would not be receiving it until Friday. To charge someone tariffs morning of delivery only to then find out it takes 24 to 48 hours to clear is absolutely unacceptable. On top of that after paying said tariff, delivery update a few hours later it was leaving Boston to be delivered. 4 hours later package is on hold and will be rescheduled.. DHL is absolute garbage.

Do not use DHL. My package was sent off from the 13th of November and arrived in Jamaica on the 17th of November and I’m writing this review on the 30th of December and still haven’t received my package. I’ve spoken to more than five customer service representative and still nothing!!!! I will never use this company again.

They might as well walk when it to delivering a package. 10 days for a tracking update. 2 get updated together. Someone didn't want to work around the holidays. I will buy through anyone who ships through DHL ever again. In the future I'll requested my items delivered by donkey & I bet it faster & cheaper.

We are a medium-sized company with many international shipments. Recently, DHL has proven massively incompetent, adds mysterious charges, and intentionally delays customs clearances to add storage charges. This has happened 3 times in 2025, and this last time is The Last Time as we no longer use DHL for our many international shipments. We just cannot afford this level of unscrupulous activity and DHL does not fit in our business model any longer. A lack of valid responses and outright dismissing our requests also enforces our decision. Very disappointing.

I will no longer be doing any of my business with DHL, they are the worst company. The customer service people are rude, their drivers are not reliable and their service is even worse. After 10 year it's time to say goodbye to DHL and move to UPS.

I'm honestly annoyed with the service, many times my package needed to be redelivered because delivery guys never actually come deliver packages. I recently sat home all day (8:30 pm) just for them to say they tried to deliver but no one was home! Disgusting. Do better!!

Today, 12-17-2025, 3 weeks ago, I sent 2 packages to Germany, Ulm and Aachen using DHL from Dallas, Texas. The small boxes were Christmas gifts Each box had Christmas cards, empty gift bags, Texas Christmas ornaments, Rubik's toy and puzzle box for a coworker's little boy. Of course, the price to ship internationally cost more than the items in the boxes. Truly, the thought of someone thinking about appreciating their co-workers at Christmas, there is not a value on that. Christmas is only once a year!
The employees were excited and waiting on the packages. Sadly, DHL in Germany never delivered the packages, they kept them in customs. Never again will I use DHL for anything. I would recommend using Fedex or UPS, if you are sending packages of the country from America. Thank you from a very sad customer in Dallas, Texas

DHL lost a package that was supposed to be delivered over a week ago. The package was lost. Was never notified. When I reached out for support, they offered no help. I dislike when merchants use DHL to ship items. I always have issues.

My international package arrived in Toronto 4 days ago. DHL stated the delivery will be the next day before the end of the day. Nothing arrived. Then, another message the delivery will be the the following day between 2 to 4 pm. So I was home waiting for the package. Around 3:56 pm, DHL message stated the address is incorrect / can’t find the front door. It is house, I was standing / watching for DHL all afternoon. Nothing arrived, did not see any driver/ delivery person came and looked for the house. The address is 100% correct. So, I called, the agent answered and told me the driver would return within one hour to deliver. I waited another hour. Nothing arrived.
I called again, another agent told me the driver went home. No delivery on Sat and Sunday, It will have to be delivered again on Monday. Monday came, I waited all day. Nothing delivered. I called again, this time, they could not find the package….. what a terrible company and services. No one should use them. I will call the HQ tomorrow and cancel all our corporate arrangement with them.

Very very poor customer service in Oakville. Scheduled pick up was between 11am and 4 pm on 3 December 2025. The driver who picked the document was late. Instead of apologizing his tardiness, he mocked at the situation. I live here in Canada and understand we all try our best to meet timeliness and for some reason we don't, we apologize. Worst customer 😑 service experience.

I waited at home all day for my parcel which was very important parcel, without this parcel I can’t carry on working, it said they will deliver between 3-4, now it’s over 5 and the app said the delivery was attempted and they put a random picture from anywhere and I have not received nothing, very disappointing

Do not use DHL, they're terrible! They haven't responded to 2 previous emails. This is the 3rd day my urgent parcel has been sat on the back of their van, on its way back to the depot again because there is, obviously, no way their driver can deliver 150 parcels in one day. Tracking at 5pm says the driver is "on his way to stop number 70." Not even halfway.
Are they seriously attempting to run a business? Three days straight they've had at least 30 parcels return to the depot, according to tracking. Their site says they "could not gain access to the property". Untrue, I've been in all day, two days straight waiting for them. Professional courier firms leave a card when no one's in. Also, the option to have it delivered to a local drop off shop has disappeared from their website, so I have no options for receiving my parcel. Absolutely hopeless, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Took me over 2.5 hours to prepare a simple shipment from USA to Italy using their online MyDHL Express web page. It kept timing out and losing my info, finally got it completely and the Sydney Said I had too many items to ship, I only had 1. When I contacted Customer support, the issue was a known problem and I was given the work around. And a 40% discount code. Which I couldn’t use because there was no place to enter the code online. Then when the driver comes to pick up the package, he refuses to pick up because the paperwork wasn’t printed. I did the shipping remotely and my sis doesn’t have A printer. The website indicated that the driver could pick it up and place the shopping doc that I filled out remotely on the package. This was wrong. I will NEVER use DHL again. I’ve shipped internationally for 20 years. This is by far the worst experience.

Horrific customer service. They will not communicate with their contracted customer to coordinate shipping to my home. I have called three separate times and answered a dozen emails. All say that I have to provide detailed information about the materials of what I purchased and manufacturing locations. All of this information should come from THEIR CUSTOMER, who is the company I ordered from. Not me. Use literally anyone else.

DHL has been about one of the worst shippers I have ever dealt with. They never respond in a timely manner. They suck at their one job of getting a package through customs. My package was returned to the shipper because of that. When you try to get in contact with human they put you through as many automated lines as possible first. Then they don't even tell me they did. So I had to figure that out myself. Of course they don't even refund the money you spent to have it shipped after that like they did nothing wrong. I would avoid this company at all cost. Literally use any other shipping company.

I paid $275.06 for a $20 pkg [reading glasses for my parents]. Pkg was sent to South Africa. I was told that I paid for all the taxes/duties. The pkg was held in customs in Cape Town. They refused to release it unless I paid an additional R175.00 [$10.00]. Furthermore DHL refused to have it delivered to the home address or the nearest location. My parents had to drive to the DHL hub in Durban KZN. The pkg weighed 0.22grams. DHL is a rip off.

I’m extremely disappointed with DHL’s handling of my shipment. My package has been unreasonably held despite clear confirmation from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) that no permit is required, since the item is for personal use. Even after providing all the necessary documentation — including the Declaration for the Mother of Pearl, which was already included by the vendor — DHL has continued to delay the release of my package without justification.
When I contacted the FWS directly, the inspector confirmed that DHL has no authority to reject or hold the shipment, yet DHL has ignored this and failed to take any action to resolve the issue. Communication has been slow, inconsistent, and extremely frustrating. This experience has shown a complete lack of accountability and professionalism from DHL. I’ve spent significant time and effort trying to get a simple issue resolved, and the lack of response or resolution is unacceptable. If you value reliability and customer service, I strongly recommend avoiding DHL until they improve their processes and communication.

If negative stars were possible, DHL Express (Canada) Ltd. would deserve them for the way my shipment and claim were (mis)handled. I paid $304 CAD on Oct 1st for DHL Express Worldwide service from Canada to North Macedonia to deliver a time-sensitive food supplement for my elderly mother. It was supposed to arrive by Oct 7th business days, but it was delayed by over 10 days.
For 10 days, DHL Macedonia never contacted me or the recipient to request the required customs documents. The shipment was held in DHL’s storage without explanation. Only after I personally intervened, contacting Customs Office and my friends in Macedonia and pressuring DHL, did they finally email to request the documents.
Despite this being DHL’s failure to act, they later charged storage and customs handling fees. I filed a claim on October 20, providing all supporting documents to both DHL Claims and the UPS Store where I purchased the service. DHL refused to process the claim, saying the store needed to upload the same files again. After escalating to my bank chargeback, the Better Business Bureau and Competition Bureau of Canada, DHL’s CEO office finally opened my claim, yet they now try to close it, citing “customs regulations,” ignoring their 10-day communication failure. This was an express service without express action, no accountability, no refund, and no responsibility. Highly disappointing from a global company.

This company is impossible to deal with. I had a $212 service fee on a $400 package from overseas. They would provide no Invoice, breakdown, but would charge you and additional $2 a day fee if you didn't pay it. I contacted 6 different customer service lines and each one, just passed the buck to the other.

DHL charged me a tariff that was three times the amount it should have been. While that was in dispute, they kept threatening to ship my pkg back to the destination country. So, I paid the inaccurate amount so even more time would not be lost. A couple of days after payment, on Oct 2nd, I was told the dispute was decided in my favor and it would be 7-9 days before the refund would appear.
At the moment, it's November 10th and still no refund. Not once has DHL reached out to me with information on this refund. I have called 5-6 times at this point. Every call a minimum of ten minutes, sometimes a half hour. I have been repeatedly been refused to speak to a supervisor. Was told on Nov 3rd one would call me within 24 hours. That never happened.
I called on the 4th after 24 hours and was told the claim was just decided in my favor on Oct 28th and it would be processed in 5-7 days. Of course, that info was wrong... This case was decided a MONTH earlier. On one of the calls last week, I was hung up on accidentally and had to recall and explain this all to a new customer service person. That person did not even apologize for the call being dropped. Unreal. My phone call today with customer service was among the worst. Five weeks with no payment and the customer service rep was giving ME attitude. I was told again, 5-7 days... This is probably the 5-6th time I've gotten this answer. I again asked for a Supervisor callback... This person was basically telling me it's already in the file to call me, and seemed annoyed I wanted it escalated again.

On September 22nd we shipped a box from Edinburgh, Scotland to Washougal Washington. It is now November 5th. Our package was returned to the hotel that we shipped it from. We had Royal Mail pick up the same exact box, with the same exact contents on October 31st and it was delivered to Portland Oregon today November 5th. We have been working with DHL to have our money refunded for the previous 6 weeks. NO ONE is capable of helping. We are able to give the shipment number and the tracking number and that is not enough. They also cannot talk with each other. We have called the UK and the US and neither of them are competent to help NOR will they speak with each other. Our advice to anyone shipping anything internationally OR domestically DO NOT USE DHL. There are far too many competent shipping companies out there, including the local postal service. This is the WORST customer service we have ever received.

I have an incoming shipment from Singapore. Delivery was estimated for last Monday, October 27, 2025. The shipment did not arrive. Instead, it has been lodged in Customs pending receipt of further information. I have spent several hours on the phone during the past two days with DHL Customer Service trying to find out precisely what further information it requires for Customs. This is information I would be pleased to provide if DHL would tell me precisely what it needs.
Instead of directly answering what I believe are simple questions, I've been bounced around to several DHL departments and customer service representatives, none of whom seem to be able or willing to answer my questions about this information. In short, DHL Express has given me a runaround. I have experienced similar hassles with DHL in the past. I would not recommend using DHL Express to ship parcels.

I used DHL to ship a mattress from Fl to Brazil last summer. I was quoted a price of under $500 and that was accurate. I asked the salesman about tariffs, telling him I would not ship the mattress if the tariffs were more than the cost of the item. He told me they would be a couple of hundred dollars. The bill came a few months later for $2000. After doing research I found out they used the wrong invoice to calculate the fee - the mattress cost $950 and they based the tariff on $1500.
When I asked them recalculate the tariff with the correct invoice I was told that they calculated the correct tariff on $1500 and would not do it on the correct invoice. How stupid is that? The logic does not compute. I am more than willing to pay the fee if it was based on the correct invoice. This is ludicrous. They transferred the salesman to a different department to prevent me from contacting him and they refuse to provide me with the tape of the phone call. Not only are they stupid, they are bullies.

International shipping. Unreliable customer service. Spoke with three agents concerning delivery status and address. No delivery sent although it was confirmed the document would be sent. Spoke with team leader, was told that I would get the runaround and could not locate a central address next to a hospital. Was informed the address was difficult to find. Still waiting for the delivery. Unprofessional and unreliable. Hopefully I will get my package 27/10/2025. They have received my package 21/10/2025. Paid 80 Euros.

I don't know how a company that just does shipping can't get my packages to me, but they have lost both packages this month that came into their hands. One package I even paid import duty fees to DHL for! Both packages have COMPLETE address information on the label as confirmed by the shippers, yet for some reason, they are mis-shipped and rotating through a system that will never get them to me.
I contacted DHL and they tell me the shipper has to contact them. I ask DHL about mis-shipping and they tell me "it's just taking the scenic route to you" as the tracking shows my package going from Phoenix to Gila Bend to Phoenix to Gila Bend and never continuing onward to its final destination. Terrible customer service/support and no recourse for me as the recipient of said lost mail. I'm appalled at the obtuse incompetence I have fallen to the hands of and the total inability for follow up or resolution. What a disgusting way to run a service as important as this.

Their shipping system appears to be disorganized. A parcel I received from Lebanon was repeatedly rerouted across the United States—from the East Coast to the West Coast, and even to the South—despite the correct address being clearly provided.

Negative 5 stars. Your drivers really need to pay attention to the apartment number that they deliver to. My package was delivered to a different building and apartment number than it should have been. This was medicine and perishable. I received notification of delivery and it wasn't at my door so I had to go all over the apartment community looking to find it. Also no picture on the proof of delivery so basically no proof of delivery.

I was first time used DHL service and my experience was a nightmare. I passed my international Express mail passed to DHL on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. After paid, the representative of the DHL store told me that earliest may could receive following Monday, August, 18, 2025. They later confirmed delivery on Wednesday, August, 21, I said it's fine. However, the shipment didn’t arrive until September, 9, 2025. This Express delivery took 19 business days to received. I believe there are no any courier company in the US has as unbelievably poor service as theirs.
Moreover, not only was delivery delayed, but the DHL also forced me to pay for a storage fee of $ 42 before delivery. I had to ask a friend of mine to paid for it so that DHL could deliver my Express mail. This is just a 30 pages Literary magazine submission, not a commodity or product. I don't understand what they would do this? I am very dissatisfied with their terrible service.

If you order a product first make sure it isn't being sent by DHL unless you don't want what you ordered. This company is beyond incompetent. Their tracking service just tells you what you already know , you ordered something, where it is is a complete unknown. Make sure if you order something they are using an actual delivery service like UPS or FEDEX, DHL is totally useless. I had to buy what I wanted from a different source which has already arrived with the order coming by DHL still untrackable. I just hope the delivery happens within the time frame of returning the item now that I don't need it anymore.

ZERO stars - NO attempt. Every time an order is supposed to arrive using UniUni, GoFo or DHL, it always says attempt to deliver failed, verify address,, check phone, check around, check with neighbors, etc. Address & phone are always correct, cameras (neighborhood, neighbors & ours) show NO attempt even made! I schedule another "attempt". Then it says that it was delivered and we go through the same! I call again. Suddenly we get the package a few days later with a photo from when it was delivered (earlier)! It's the same day it was actually delivered! Same goes for UniUni & DHL! I seriously think they hope a lot of people won't go to the trouble and never get their item or $ back.

This is 1 of those cases where 0 stars should be an option. I'm going to start at the end, what a DHL agent (won't say his name, don't want him to lose his job) said to me, "not a good idea to send items via DHL, customs will destroy you items". I told him, info. that should have been available to my cousin before sending me a present, which he had before without any issues. After almost a month without any news about my package ($3 worth of caramel & honey candy) finally I was able to speak with an agent who told me the package was on hold for non-payment (I'm assuming tariffs) couldn't or wouldn't tell the reason but anyway I paid $20.66. After reviewing the laws and costs of tariffs I found out there's no cost for gifts under $100. I immediately called and they told me a complaint was filed to get me a refund. Fine.
Three days later (over a month after promised day of delivery) I get my package, finally, my candy that I really like and unfortunately cannot find here in the US. So I had figured that customs probably thought something illegal (drugs) was being disguised as candy, but also know that in order for them to open a package is because it got a (+) from the dogs or the gas spectrometer or whatever is called since they didn't open just 1 bag, or 2 but all 3. Then they proceeded to test at least 15 candies out of each bag, fine, if you opened the candy and touch it with your bare hands (noticed fingerprints on the individual units) then throw candies away or put in a different plastic bag, but no, they put the squishy candy without the wrapping all 15 of them back in each bag and because of the heat, well you can imagine what happened to the rest.
So, at the end I'm assuming nothing illicit or nefarious was found or I would have been writing this from jail, considering I would have been able to illegally sneak a phone in. I told the agent, my cousin should have been notified that customs destroy packages, he's very poor and would have saved him time and money. I had to pay almost $21 for inedible candy. All in the trash after 1 month of waiting but had I received it, it would have been worth the wait, is a delicious candy and he was supposed to send me the blackberry ones, even better, I guess I'll have to wait until I'm able to save like $4.000 for a trip to South America, but just the thought of what they did to my candy scares me that I will have to go through that process and worse.

I am leaving 1 star because DHL turned what should have been a simple signature-required delivery into the worst customer experience I ever had. My parcel was marked as “delivered” on 19 September, but no signature was taken and the only “proof” was a blurry photo of the label. The parcel was not in my possession. DHL’s own Bristol depot later confirmed it had been left in the wrong building. What followed was a week of chasing DHL daily, broken promises of updates, contradictory information from different advisers, and even being told the investigation was closed and a claim would not be possible. Meanwhile, I was forced to begin replacing the certified documents inside at my own expense.
Then, on 26 September, the parcel suddenly appeared in my mailbox with no notice, no delivery attempt, and still no signature. DHL cannot explain how it got there. Yet DHL Romania told my brother that the shipment was “delivered correctly” and refused compensation — a response that is beyond unacceptable. At every turn DHL has managed to make this situation worse: misdelivery, failure to obtain the required signature, inadequate proof of delivery, inaccurate information, poor communication, and zero accountability. This is exactly the type of problem I paid extra to avoid by choosing DHL. Instead, DHL created it.

I don’t know why any company keeps using DHL. Got something from Japan and they decided to use DHL- now it’s overseas so they have to go through a clearance process. Well the website says that clearance can take up to 1 week. Guess what? I waited in week and it was not moving at all!! I called and someone transferred me to the wrong department then someone hung up and told me that they didn’t care I had to work and be on the phone from 10 AM - 3:17 pm. Literally it took this long to get someone to just give me an email to provide my information? My issue is still not resolved. They will be returning my package to Japan all due the negligence of this company!!

Charged 25% tariffs instead of 15% between Israel and USA. When scheduled a call to get it corrected they never called and ignored all emails. They will rip you off and not think twice... If you have another option choose it.

Ordered a drone from South Korea. The drone came in and was being held at their Cincinnati warehouse. They requested my information which was uploaded per their instructions. After 2 days I called and they checked and was like oh you did do it. Then I received the bill. They charged my $2,107 for a drone worth only $3,400. When I called to inquire the customer service agent stated that it looked like I was charged 4x for the item and would have dispute it online. I follow the directions and called the dispute department who stated it will take time and that the package would probably be sent back before the process was finished even though its their fault. would not recommend these clowns and would question all their charges due to their dishonesty.

So they said the package would be delivered between 14:00 and 16:00 (work hours, of course). I had someone waiting for it and the delivery showed up at 16:30. On Day 2--the window is 14:30 and 16:30--I sat in the building lobby. It is now 17:00 and still no show. I contacted the customer support AI and said that they do not provide a time window--which they most certainly did. However, this is not the worst of DHL. They are the only company that delivers here in NYC that does not know how to deliver in NYC. All of the others are competent enough to get the package into the lobby.

Very disappointing experience with DHL at FedEx/DHL authorized center (3387 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver). On Sept 15, 2025, I went in to send a gift (Apple AirPods Pro 3) to my brother in Vienna. I clearly told the representative it was AirPods, they even wrote it on the receipt, and I asked for a fast and insured option. I was charged $186.07 plus I tipped $18.61, a total of $204.68.
The next day, my package was returned because DHL does not allow shipping items with lithium batteries. When I went back to the store, the staff told me they hadn’t been informed of this restriction and therefore didn’t realize they couldn’t accept the shipment. Initially, they did not issue a refund. Only after contacting/filing a complaint with DHL, I received a call from the store to come back, and I was refunded.
While I appreciate the refund, this entire process cost me a full day of wasted time, stress, and frustration. The responsibility lies with DHL for failing to properly inform and train their authorized agents on something as basic as lithium battery restrictions. Customers should not pay the price for DHL’s lack of communication and oversight. DHL needs to do much better in ensuring their rules are clearly communicated to both staff and customers. This was a very frustrating experience, and I will think twice before relying on DHL again.

If there is a "ZERO STAR" I would give this company just that! Obviously 1 would do for now... DHL called and left me a VM for me to pay the tax duty. I called back the number that they have left me on the VM; however, the number was NOT even their correct phone number. After I did length of researched online, I found the right number to call.
I want to pay the duty tax hat required from the package that my family from overseas sent e to surprise me, then I asked them for my address, they don't have the correct address and just the street name, he city and zip code. I asked them to update my address, they said they CAN'T DO THAT... I said: "You want me to pay the duty tax, but you don't even have the ability to updated with the correct address?!?!" They said: "NO!"
So then how they can deliver my package to the correct address?!?! They said I just have to go to their service point, and that was almost 2 hours away from me... the lady in customer service is SOOO RUDE, DON'T CARE, and DO NOT HAVE ANY EMPATHY NOR THE ABILITY TO ASSIST ME WITH WHAT I NEED. Dhl is the most horrific bad logistics company that I ever experienced it. By far!!!! Ditch dhl, tell your friends and family to use ups and FedEx instead!!! Dhl deserved to get all low star reviews, because dhl have the most horrific customer service!!!

I received notification that my package would arrive from 7:30-9:30 pm. I was home by 4:30pm, waiting for my package. I received notification it was on its way and when I checked the tracking, it still had 7 stops to go. Then minutes later, I received a notification stating they couldn't deliver the package because no one was home. I have a Ring Camera and nobody rang or knocked or even passed by my door. I called customer service who doesn't have a way to call the driver to inform them to return or confirm if they arrived at the right location. They also couldn't confirm if the driver was at the right.

I would leave zero stars if allowed. They delivered my package to the wrong building as shown by their photo. They refused to refund me and gave me no emails that they said they sent telling me that the parcel was delivered to the wrong building. All I have is a case number that I emailed the company that I bought the shirt from. Now, I missed out on the sale and hope I can get another shirt (at full price). It is not my fault or the company's fault. They had the correct address and I gave them the correct address. Their illiterate driver was at fault.

I’ve had one of the worst customer service experiences with DHL Express. The service was slow, unresponsive, and completely unprofessional. The staff I dealt with were not only unhelpful but also rude and dismissive. It felt like there was no accountability or urgency to resolve the issue. This is not the DHL I used to trust. The reliability and professionalism that once defined the company are clearly gone. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to consider alternative courier services. Very poor service — I will not be using DHL again.

Out of five packages I sent to myself, I've received one of them. The other four have disappeared. They get halfway to the destination and then they vanish. DHL says they sent them back to the sender, which is me, but they are not being sent back. These items contain my credit cards, so maybe that's why they are stealing them? They refer me to their website but if you look at the photos, you'll see their website is pretty much unusable. I am out over $120 on these items, they were just letters that contains my replacement credit cards.

Horrible service specially in US and Canada, yes they have planes to get your package fast from one hub to another, but afterwards, good luck. You will get stuck in German work speed culture, so slow and worrisome. They always start delivering using their trucks in the evenings where businesses are closed. Are you kidding or what? DHL e-commerce is much worse, they separate expensive packages depending on the customs value to ship on a palette where they can claim lost! Stop it or I will call FBI Melrose, IL HUB!!!!

Do not waste your time and money. Useless company. I needed an urgent document collected from Colorado. Pickup was smooth; however, delivery to Italy was late; the driver claimed they couldn’t locate the address/address is incorrect. Not true as other companies have no issues in locating our very clearly marked driveway. Huge sign with our names and the address on it.
After 1st late delivery, I called and the phone number for me was incorrect, which was odd as I checked the receipt and the number was correct; however, I asked the customer service person to change it and made her read it back to me. Guess what? No change. Second delivery, the driver claimed they couldn’t locate the house, the address is incorrect. Nope! I called again and was fobbed off with a “front line” of defense line that leaves the people you call “powerless” so I get a request receipt. I called again again, surprise surprise nothing has changed and the magic folks who exist somewhere in a cloud hadn’t contacted the driver, hadn’t contacted me and still don’t know where my letter should be. It’s been over a week!

DO NOT Ship with DHL. The person shipping the package wanted a signature but little did she know that if you want a signature, you HAVE to have the person whose name is there with a driver's license and ID, even at your own house. It could not be a wife, a maid, only the person -- and shipping to a home during when people are working just does not work. I am 70 years old and have received packages at my home for my husband all my life and this one they would not leave even as I had a copy of his driver's license with the address of the house on it. THEY ARE STUPID AND when you call CUSTOMER SERVICE TO REMOVE or CHANGE ANYTHING, you might as well be talking to a wall.
They said to use the signature release but that was greyed out and so does not work (see picture). Neither the addressee nor the sender who called CUSTOMER SERVICE could fix it. Then when they came and I begged them to give me the box that came all the way from Germany -- he writes back that NO ONE WAS THERE TO RECEIVE THE PACKAGE. I say again, DO NOT SHIP DHL unless you are an older person who likes to sit around and receive a package whenever it arrives. Then this is for you.

I would rate lower if it was possible. We've had 3 international packages shipped to us by a vendor using DHL. When running rate quotes, the estimated delivery is date is typically 7-10 days earlier than when the shipment actually arrives. I believe this company uses deceptive quote tactics to secure shipments and doesn't fulfill their obligations. They bait you in with the promise of fast shipping and switch to "you'll get it when you get it!" When I contacted customer service to discuss our most recent delay, I was told that the package was transferred to a 3rd party for delivery. They couldn't tell me who the 3rd party was or provide any additional information as to how I could schedule pickup. We are a company that relies on timely shipments to operate our business and DHL consistently fails to deliver on that objective.

If you're considering shipping options, avoid DHL at all costs. Their delivery process is utterly unreliable. They scheduled a delivery during business hours but repeatedly tried to deliver outside of those hours for four straight days, even after I called to complain. It wasn't until the fifth day, waiting until 6:30 PM, that I finally received my package.
When I contacted DHL, they claimed they couldn't contact the driver—something even UPS and FedEx manage to do easily. The pickup process is just as bad. A 6-hour window for pickup is unreasonable, especially when competitors like Uber and Grubhub can offer better, more flexible contact with drivers. Customer support is a complete waste of time; they follow scripts and are unable to provide real assistance. Navigating their automated system is frustrating and unproductive. Based on this experience, I will never use DHL again and have advised all my suppliers and customers to do the same. Don't let yourself go through what I did—choose a more reliable shipping provider.

I paid extra to get my package the next day. Simply they said they couldn't deliver it and I called the call center. I requested to talk to the supervisor. They said the supervisor will call me back but guess what no one call me at all.. so in the result of that I had to drive more than 15 miles the next day back and forth to get my package which I paid extra to get it delivered the next day. I asked clearly the call center again 3 times is it gonna be ready in the morning. She said yes but guess what they said it's not ready. I have to wait for an hour. Luckily I didn't wait that much but the worst experience ever.. I can just say they don't care about customers.

Taking 3 WEEKS to get out of Customs after Sending them the paperwork they asked for multiple times, calling every day and it is STILL IN DHL Customs. I RESENT My EIN, SS-4, POWER OF ATTORNEY, etc... Package sent via DHL eCommerce by a retailer. It is somehow required to take more than 7 days to arrive, though every other delivery agent can deliver packages in less than 4-5 even with USPS doing the final delivery leg. On 8/1 @ 10PM, DHL eCommerce tracking states package was 'tendered to USPS'; on 8/2 @ 12:30AM, USPS confirms it is departing a DHL facility. 3 days later, zero movement. Online, they have a chatbot that doesn't seem to actually be able to do anything except offer platitudes about being a chat bot and 'new'. It is intentionally designed to waste customer's time, unable to do anything except direct you to contact a shipper regarding DHL losing packages in transit. After literally 10 minutes of messages, it finally divulges a phone # to call DHL, which is not a toll free number, and that directs you to instead move to text messaging.
Automated message is immediately sent, but when you reply, no responses are ever sent back. It is clearly an unmonitored means of contact. Note that all of this contact is happening at 2pm on a weekday which is not a federal holiday. DHL eCommerce appears to have intentionally designed their entire customer interface to ensure that clients are not able to get any actual assistance or updates in any way shape or form. They appear to strive to infuriate and aggravate clients and have zero care or concern about doing business in the USA.

We used DHL Express to have some documents sent from Mexico to our home in the USA. A package that should’ve been delivered in 3-4 days turned into 43 days. It arrived in the Cincinnati Oh. Hub right away after leaving the Celaya Gto Mx office. That was on June 17th. On June 23rd I received a notice that it had been cleared by Customs then again on June 30th. After that the package did not move until July 26th. I called customer service, texted, and kept calling and calling. I talked to so many people, some were nice some not so much.
One would say it was coming and the others that customs still had a hold on it even though it had been released. Finally after 30 days they started emailing saying they were working to track the package. They said they were working with other supervisors to get the package into our hands. After much insisting I wrote them and told them I would file a police report. After that the package was delivered just 4 days later. I would NOT recommend DHL EXPRESS to anyone thinking of mailing anything from outside of the USA. Specially important documents. Try using FED EX OR UPS instead.

Have a delivery currently in transit. Has been since mid June from South Carolina to Alberta Canada. Took 12 days to get to customs and 5 days to process. Now it South of my location 300km waiting for me to pick it up there. I called and they told me it would need to be picked up there, then brought to their distribution center in Southern Alberta before they could send it to me. At this point I'm out $1,000.00 for purchase, refurbishment and freight on this item. Don't know if I'll ever see it.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience using DHL. According to their tracking, my package arrived in Halifax from India on July 12. It has now been 9 days, and there is still no update on its whereabouts. When I first called DHL Customer Service, I was told my package had been handed off to a local courier, Loomis Express — which turned out to be an equally lousy company with poor customer service. After chasing Loomis for 3 days, they finally informed me the package had been sent back to DHL on July 17th.
So, from July 12–17, my package sat with Loomis Express, and their tracking only vaguely said “Halifax” with no real details. Since Loomis returned it, I’ve been told repeatedly by DHL’s so-called “Customer Specialist Team” that they are still trying to get an update from their Operations Team — and we are now at July 23rd with no clear answer.
What really amazes me is that it took 5 days for my package to reach Canada from India, yet it has been stuck in limbo for almost double that time in Halifax alone. The fact that a major global company like DHL has such a shoddy tracking system in 2025, combined with staff who can’t tell me where my package is or what’s causing the delay, shows a clear lack of internal communication and accountability. When I asked for an explanation, even the specialist admitted they didn’t know where my package was. That’s unacceptable for a logistics company that claims to be reliable. I expected better from DHL — unfortunately, this experience has shown me they are no better than a third-rate courier.

Then maybe DHL should change its name to "losing products from customers". This is an insanely bad company. NEVER have I had a completely smooth experience with DHL. They are useless as a company. They should go into the business of "missing products" instead.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I'm being charged $250 in random customs fees and no one will explain to me why I am being charged the fees. All they want you to do is pay the fees in order to receive your shipment. When you get a live customer service rep on the phone, they transfer you to a line that just rings and rings. So you end up getting no support. I shouldn't have to pay fees on American made goods returning to America. I feel like I am being extorted.

I wish I could give zero stars instead of one. DHL charges absurd import fees, up to 3x the amount of taxes/duty that governments charge for imports. They charge these fees ON TOP of delivery, and they are hidden, which means that when you order online at a clothing or any other kind of company, they don't warn you about these BS fees upon delivery, they only warn you about customs fees. In addition, communication is an absolute disgrace. Rude, short, not answering you questions, appearing to not even read your questions. In addition (as if I needed more proof that this company is an absolute disgrace) they delivered my package to some "drop off" site, not to my door. So I had to pay an extra $120 in random fees (NOT customs/import tax) in addition to the delivery expense, and they didn't deliver to my door. Please, NEVER, EVER use this company.

DHL is an incredibly frustrating experience. For a time, we used them and was happy to do so because of the international service, then this year ... incredible lack of interest in helping in any way. Two highlights were receiving an enormous bill for importation because of a similar name in the company name. The differences were enormous, the company that the bill was supposed to go to was in Dallas, we are in NY, they were a big manufacturing company, we are a small gallery. Yet it took weeks of phone calls, emails, etc. to get the bill off of our account.
Other mishaps were things like 3 parcels being sent from Germany, but only two arrived, inexplicable handoff to USPS, without any notice, and still the package is missing. THe people that you correspond with could care less and they practically tell you that. They cannot look things up, and when you finally are able to look something up on the DHL platform, they tell you that THEY looked it up for you. Insensitive, Careless, and RUDE... Try anyone else...

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!! This is the worst run company I have ever experienced. How they're still in business is shocking. I purchased artwork in Peru. Not only did they damage the artwork in shipment they overcharged me the duty costs by 300%. I spent months emailing and calling them to try to resolve the issue. They put you through automation HELL, ignored my emails, and ultimately told me the "issue was closed". I lost thousands of dollars. The only recourse is litigation.

Every time a shipper uses DHL my package takes 3 to 4 delivery attempts. The driver didn’t even get out of the van the one time. They forgot to put it on the truck the next time and they mixed up the days the next. Excuse after excuse. No apologies. They switch the blame on you. I believe this company to be the absolute worst on all points of the proper business protocols. Beware of them. I still don’t have my package two months later.

I have been expecting and tracking this important package from the day it was shipped. And I tracked it till the day it got to the United States. When the delivery person got to my apartment complex I could see from the tracking. The delivery person drove behind my husband and got to my apartment complex. My husband came in and told me that the DHL delivery person is out there so they should be bringing our package in a minute. I was still on my phone tracking all the movements of this package. And suddenly, the status of my package changed to DELIVERED. I thought the guy had dropped it on the door without knocking, so I went to the door to check, but there was no package, yet it says DELIVERED. Then I ran outside to check and I saw the delivery guy driving off out of the gate from my apartment complex without delivering my package. Yet the status was already showing DELIVERED.
As if that is not enough, this delivery guy signed my name as the receiver and forged a signature using my first and last name, so it can seem as though I am the one who received the package. Who does that? This can only be the devil himself. The lack of accountability from DHL is what is even most frustrating. Nobody is taking the case serious. I will be taking this case up to deal with it legally. Because this delivery guy is not only dishonest but he is a criminal. Employing people like this to a company is dangerous. Only one lady from DHL was kind enough to understand my frustration because she took her time to listen to me. And she said she will file a Complaint against the delivery person. The rest of them all sound like they are ROBOTS, responding to questions without thinking.
The content of this package is extremely important, it is priceless. And all DHL could say is "We are done investigating this case, and this case is now close. You can go ahead and file for a claim". They don't see anything wrong with the fact that the delivery person FORGED my signature and my name without actually delivering the package. They claim that from the investigation, GPS shows that the package was delivered to the correct address. But that is a lie. The GPS only shows that the delivery person came to my apartment complex, but does not show that he delivered it at my apartment number or door.
Why did the delivery person not take a picture of the package after delivery which will include the package and the apartment number like other reliable delivery companies do? But he did not take any picture. Rather, he took a picture of the forged signature and my name and uploaded to the company website. He will have to prove who signed that signature. A lot of people are not aware of how bad and unreliable this company is until you are met with a situation like this. They charge so much money for their services, only for you to land in this mess. I will make sure this delivery person is accountable for his action. He will face the law. This company should be banned and closed from business completely. I will never recommend anyone to use their services. They are the WORST.

My package was delivered to the wrong address. The DHL proof of delivery photo was at a house which is under repair with no one occupying the house. A simple check of the address would have confirmed that the delivery was incorrect. I did ask the construction crew if they had seen a DHL package. Credit their honesty as they retrieved the incorrectly delivered package.

DO NOT USE THIS COMANY. IT IS THE WORST SHIPPING COMPANY IN THE WORLD. If I could give a zero star or negative start rating I would. We are a small business that has been in business for over 40 years and have never had issues like we have had with this shipment using this company. We have not received our package in 6 weeks and they are returning our package back to the company outside of the country and we are losing one of our biggest client because of it. It is just patches, I do not understand why it was held in customs for so long and now being sent back after we sent in all of our proper documents. The saddest thing about this situation is if we lose this client it will be devastating to our company in such a way to where we will have to let go of employees over this small package. In my 40 years of experience I've never experienced such terrible customer service.
I was told no one knows how or why my package isn't being delivered to me. Was also informed that they can not ship to our address and wants to ship to our employees address or different address. As president for a local County Chamber of Commerce I will be letting all business owners and work colleges about our experience and how I highly recommend any other shipping company but this one for their businesses as well. Spent over $200 to send a package to Nigeria and someone was to present ID, sign and pick it up. Recipient calls me frantic because the package has been delivered to someone else who signed and picked it up. The documents are sensitive one-of-a-kind document for schooling for both my wife and I. We are beyond horrified. Customer service is also saying the docs were delivered. I am just beyond shocked to realise this could happen with a name I thought was synonymous with safety.

DHL's record of delivery on time/date to my address is approximately 10%. Complaints procedure generates stock excuses or no response at all. Total lack of customer care and worst of all, no admittance of failure or apology. Have only given a 1* as 0* is not allowed.

I used DHL to shipped some Ramadan gift and Eid’s outfit and it’s been more than 2 weeks that I’m waiting and I’m still waiting. Today I receive a call from them telling me that I have to go to Canada customs and self clear my package, I drive 30 min there with my husband and they tell me that they haven’t received anything on their system, I call DHL and guess what they are telling me that I have to go to Calgary to clear my stuff while I lived in Edmonton and they already send me some of my package meaning that they send half to Edmonton and half to Calgary and expecting me to drive all the way to Calgary to clear my package and I forget to mention they make me pay twice around $40 and now they are telling me they can clear for me but I have to pay again.
I am very disappointed with this company. I use it to shipped my stuff because it was urgent but if I knew I would use Canada post which is cheaper and I wouldn’t have to wait this long, I’m never doing business with this company again, it is a nightmare, I hope will get my package soon but do yourself a favour and don’t ship with this nonsense.

I have never had an experience this terrible with a company. The lady at the counter is very nice but the manager she called on the phone handled the situation in the most horrible way possible. I repeatedly told the manager and showed them that DHL has billed me twice for the same transaction. I pulled up my bank account on my phone and gave it to the clerk to see that DHL did charge me twice. Clerk said per manager, there is nothing they can do, they cannot send my package and they have no record of the transactions (this was a time sensitive overseas shipment). Left and came back after speaking with my bank.
Called and spoke with the manager again. Manager finally admitted that DHL card processing system is not functioning well and is having issues. Manager STILL refused to send my package and asked me to pay yet again a 3rd time for the same transaction stating he cannot send the package without transaction code. He lied. Another customer there at the same time began to get upset at the situation, felt unsafe doing business with them and when the manager heard that, he finally said he would send both our packages for free. He said before that he need an authorization code to send the package. He lied. And why would I pay a 3rd time when your payment system is malfunctioning and is not reporting my two other payments made for the same exact transaction? The 3rd one would disappear as well like the other 2 did.
It's a terrible situation, horrible service. Once he received the internal message from DHL notifying them that their payment system is malfunctioning, and he saw my bank account showing that they had not only charged me once but twice...he should have sent my package. Instead he lied and said there is no way for him to send it without the payment system properly functioning and giving him a code to send the package (that there was no way around that code). Will never go to this location again and do not recommend anyone to go there either (use another shipment company if you can, actually). Save yourself the drama.

Today a young man who is deaf and non-vocal came to deliver several packages. Despite his disability he was very professional, respectful and polite. It is gratifying to know that companies like DHL give equal opportunities and dedicate extra effort in teaching them. In addition, I have used DHL for many years and have shipped to many countries. My packages have always been delivered within time and carefully delivered. DHL Is one of my favorites parcels delivery companies. Thanks DHL!

Worst experience: The DHL co. had scheduled a delivery two days before (Feb 16th) to pick up very urgent package on Feb 18. We have received a call from DHL that delivery guy will be here at 1 pm to collect the package and then later in the day we got call that he will come around 4 pm. After 4 pm we got a call from Delivery person that he won't be able to pick up today, we need to reschedule another day. This was very urgent package need to be deliver on time. This co. had failed to pick up today. I am very disappointed with their services.

We ordered some flowers for the Valentines day. We have a business and we received orders and purchased 100 roses supposed to be here in Florida yesterday the 12th but the DHL logistics decided to send it to Cincinnati OH. Yes you read right from Miami Fl to Orlando FL where we live shipment was too early and send it for a trip to Cincinnati OH and now the snow will delay the shipment that in first place was already in Orlando Hub. Thought for a moment we have a lot of ways to see weather and thought for a second of a logistic planner this company should have… been in this logistics business for more than 20 years and never seen something like it… and now no one wants to have responsibility about the mishappening!!! Shipper nor delivery company and now this orders are ruined… try stay out of DHL. Their logistics is not just bad. It is the worst…

I was supposed to receive a very important document via DHL Express. The service was branded to be max 3 business days delivery (from Frankfurt to Arkansas USA). Envelope given to DHL on Feb 8 and the indicated delivery date was Feb 11. Now it is Feb 12, and my envelope is in an airport in Brussels, waiting for an airplane that is not there yet. I contacted Customer service; it was a joke.

Worst service ever. Lack of delivery on time was driver error - not reading the address properly. Package not received as promised. Redelivery will take up to 48 hours thereby making the delivery two days late. They simply don’t care. I will never use their services again. I do not recommend this company. There are far better ones out there who stand by their commitment.

They are a ridiculous mailing service, how is it when the packages leave their facility they’re unsure of who’s picking the packages up? So are they giving the packages to random people? It’s not making sense, I feel because they have so many bad reviews someone is stealing the packages, why wasn’t scanned by the next carrier? They need to be put out of business, 😡 someone is stealing!!! So I can just go to DHL and say I’m picking up packages for USPS at this point. They are a disgusting service and mailing companies should stop working with them. I believe it’s a bunch of thieves working as the middleman.

WORST WORST WORST- NO CUSTOMER SERVICE- RUDE. I waited 4 days for important documents to run my business- driver never came by business place - I sat there till 8pm - he then sent notice business is closed unable to deliver - cameras did not pick up a DHL delivery truck on any street or parking lot at business- DHL customer service refuse to believe me - I am still waiting since Thursday last week.

Worst shipping company I ever used. They kept my parcel on hold. It took them 3 days to get the parcel from India to Richmond in B.C and almost 4 days to deliver the package from Richmond B.C to Kamloops B.C. It's very hard to get to talk to anyone in customer service as they always leave voice recorded or AI. They can't update the status of the parcel on their website. They said they had this new feature where we can opt for call back. They do call back and after one ring they disconnect the call so what is the purpose of call back facility? Only they know. I would never recommend anyone to use DHL for sending anything anywhere. I give them 0/10. This is not the only experience. In India its service is even worse.

I trusted DHL with a delivery of a time-sensitive document and paid premium for an assured on-time delivery. They did not honor the commitment which resulted in $1800 of additional expenses occurred, missed appearances, and overall suffering involving my family, including an 8-year-old child.

Very bad service. DO NOT USE. PLEASE AVOID DHL. DHL Canada misplaced my transcript and other valuable documents, when I contacted them only 2 people listened to me. Everybody else was totally nuts and DOES NOT KNOW how to do their job and DOES NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. It has been 3 months now, my documents are still missing. They say that the documents are in the US, they don't know how the documents ended up in the US and I have to contact the US DHL to resolve this. I am very frustrated. Listing all the shortcomings of this so-called delivery service - this misunderstanding - is the same as writing a book in at least 3 volumes, there is not enough strength or time to list all these shortcomings. This misunderstanding lives only by its own desires and does not perform its job - delivering parcels at all. Parcels in 90% of cases are not delivered at all with the amazing wording "The recipient does not live at this address" and after that your expenses automatically increase by 3 times - the first delivery, return to the sender, the second delivery by another service. There is no talk at all about compensation or basic apologies. There is practically no support service, although the site offers 3 options - WhatsApp, chat or phone number. The first two options are useless long-term communication with a bot without any results.
To contact a live person by phone, you need to talk to a robot for 20 minutes - you need to answer many questions - the results of your medical tests, when you went to bed and when you woke up, the distance to the constellation Alpha Centauri, the depth of the Martian Trench, how "shrimp barbecue" would sound in the language of the Tualu people, the specific gravity of polladium in the periodic table of chemical elements, and so on. In the case of at least one incorrect answer, the robot switches off. If you answered everything correctly, the robot switches off (probably out of shame). I wrote more than 10 complaints and received absolutely no response to any of them.
It is impossible to redirect to the department, for this you need to confirm your address or use the program to confirm your documents - and this is unrealistic, because the program does not "see" the hologram for at least 30 minutes with repeated repeated attempts or with a QR code sent to your address, which turns out to be incorrect. Therefore, it is much easier to get a job in an intelligence service than to pass identification in DHL. I suggest that everyone who has had problems with DHL, unite and file a class action lawsuit against DHL for compensation for material and moral damages, after which DHL will suffer serious damage and either change for the better and will conscientiously work off the money paid to it for delivery and will not fraudulently earn money for itself, or cease to exist and will not mock people.
Whenever possible, I do not use the services of DHL (I write with a small letter on purpose), but there are many online stores that make delivery only with this misunderstanding and I will have to endure DHL once again. Regarding the class action lawsuit, write in the comments, we will unite, contact a lawyer and file a lawsuit against DHL. There is no other option, because the current situation completely suits this service and it does not want to change anything in its work.

I am extremely disappointed with DHL’s service. My parents sent a package from Sri Lanka to Canada, and at the time of acceptance, DHL assured us it would be delivered within 8 working days. However, it has now been almost a month, and the package still has not been delivered. We paid Rs. 27,000 as the delivery fee, expecting a reliable service. To make matters worse, when we contacted DHL, their representatives were unhelpful and acted as if they had no responsibility for the delivery or any idea of the package's whereabouts. This is completely unacceptable and by far the worst delivery experience I have ever encountered. I strongly discourage anyone from trusting DHL with their shipments.

They are totally unresponsive. Their customer service it’s worse than a pizza place business. They hold my package for 3 weeks for no reason without any explanation. Their agent lied about wanting for a callback from “specialist”. After 90 min that’s never happened.

Absurd company. Throws packages in the pouring rain over the fence. Happened multiple times with the result of broken/unusable goods. When you complain "tothetop", DHL itself refers you to ecommerce. Ecommerce then just says: cannot help you, go to the chatbot. Added Kees **, managing director into the complaints: ** to the recipient list and he didn't even reply.

Same as the previous complaint. They put my package on hold even I followed the instructions they sent. At some point it showed on the app that it's arriving on the 27th but When I went to the pickup center, my package is still not there. Then it suddenly changed to on hold again. The customer service is very slow on answering emails. And let me add, the delivery driver actually called me to open the door of the apartment, and then I did. But then only to find out that he did not leave the package because there is no unit number? And I already opened the apartment door for him. Why did he bother to call me and asked to open the door when in the end he wouldn't leave the package? I don't understand.

Worst shipping company I've ever experienced. My package was held with no indication as to why. I had to call and it was very difficult to get a hold of anyone. Their website wasn't helpful at all and when trying to use the automated feature, it was so general, it provided no help whatsoever.

DHL presents itself as a global company, but my experience suggests otherwise. I sent a package from the US to India via DHL, opting for their fastest service. Although the package reached India in five days, which was reasonable, the problems began soon after. Initially, when shipping from the US, I wasn’t asked for a local contact number in India or email at Postnet. I later called DHL USA to provide a local family member’s number in India, and they assured me that DHL India would have access to this information. However, when I followed up with DHL India, they claimed they couldn’t see the notes from DHL USA and continued calling the US number instead of using basic reasoning to contact the local number.
Another significant issue was DHL’s “Know Your Customer” (KYC) document requirement. Although my relative had already uploaded a KYC document, DHL rejected it because it was under his company’s name (which was essentially his name with “Co.” added). To make matters worse, no one at DHL could explain how to upload a new KYC document until I found the right contact—two weeks later. Even then, the uploaded document was rejected because it didn’t include the address the package was being sent to, only my relative’s home address.
This ordeal dragged on for THIRTY SEVEN days. After fulfilling all their frustrating requirements, we were hit with a storage penalty fee. Adding insult to injury, when DHL finally delivered the package—just an envelope with four sheets of paper—the delivery agent handed it off to a random person at the office without verifying their identity. For a company so focused on KYC documentation, this lack of basic protocol is baffling. The entire experience felt like an elaborate exercise in harassment. The inefficiencies, miscommunications, and unnecessary complications suggest a deeply flawed system. This level of incompetence is unacceptable and points to larger issues within DHL. What a disappointing and frustrating experience.

I paid to express ship a piece of art from MX city to Ft Worth TX. It was supposed to be 2 days and I paid $1200. It has now been 2 weeks and they continually put it on a HOLD for no apparent reason. I confirmed this morning that it was out for delivery today and once again their system has put it on HOLD and it is not showing up. Horrible experience and customer service.

This delivery guy always texts me for a signature release before he delivers the package to me, I don’t feel comfortable to do it. So when he comes to my house, he refuses to give the package to anyone else but me, if I am not home he will take the package away, even my family members are willing to sign the package. This is ridiculous. I asked all my clients do NOT use DHL. I also find out my neighbors and friends all have this issue. I feel bad for DHL but if they don’t manage their employees well their business will get hurt and eventually their employees will get hurt too.

I want to let consumers know what might happen if they use DHL. Start off with I work for an attorney and we do lots of mailing and shipments of very important documents. One of our clients from the Bahamas needed to send a very important document to us in Oak Island, NC 28465. She sent me the tracking number to me to keep track so I would know when to expect delivery. Well, they delivered at 7:30 pm at night after closing hours. Someone had to sign for it. I got receipt and someone had forged my name and package was nowhere to be found.
I called them and started an investigation. Talked to them multiple times, never could give me any information. We are looking into it, they say! It seems like it would be easy enough to talk to the driver that delivered it and ask him who signed my name. No video on truck come on this is 2024!!!! Ask him where he took it back track your steps. So, last conversation with them, was we closed the investigation, we cannot locate it. I recommend no one to use them. We are having to redo this process and we are using now FEDEX!!!!

I bought a watch for my son – better than I ever had. DHL promised delivery between 1 PM and 3 PM today. To be sure, I spent 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM sitting in a chair just inside our front door reading a good book, with my barky dog at my side. When no DHL truck appeared by 3:30 PM, I checked my emails to see a LIE that DHL had “attempted” delivery AT 12:45 PM. Now, I am told, I must be home all tomorrow to get delivery. DHL has done this to me before and to many others, and DHL once left a largish box out by our country mailbox, about 200 yards from the house, falsely claiming that I had signed for it. I found it months later when the snow melted. “F” rating with the BBB, and DHL is not that good. Lies as a business plan.

I received a parcel of dried food items (15kg) at the rate of $280 from Nigeria to Dallas-TX last week Monday at my door step in my absence without any notification and the rice was taken off remaining beans 5.9kg. I called the unprofessional and careless representatives and also requested to speak to a supervisor severally but was lied to that I was called but didn't respond. These guys are so frustrating and should be taken out of business. I feel so depressed for this service despite the large amount that was charged.

Terrible experience. It’s been over three weeks since a package was sent to in Florida from Germany. It finally made it through customs in Miami and then appeared to have lost in the short trip from Miami to Gainesville Florida. DHL claims it’s “in transit”, but I think it’s gone forever. Customer server vice is absolutely worthless.

Dealing with the international imports department at DHL has been singlehandedly the most painful and insane experience I have ever gone through. So much so that I spent $1100 trying to retrieve a single bag left behind at an airport overseas. My goodness, these people are completely incompetent and inept to do their jobs. I was charged $31 per day trying to retrieve my item, fighting back and forth every single day with these people and they were next to no help. The only way my bag got through customs eventually was me having to write a note begging the customs officer to let it go through out of desperation. FYI The government rules on imports are the most insane rules in the world. It is next to impossible to import a personal item from overseas if you're not a business.

I ordered a vital part for a machine that helps run the company I work with. The seller chose DHL to deliver this package. After the day of delivery passed and I checked the tracking information and saw it was marked as delivered. However, it said it was delivered to a county that was a few hours away from mine. After checking with the seller and verifying they sent it to the right address, I checked every possible spot at my building but to no avail. I called DHL, they immediately started an investigation as to where that package went. This made me think they were taking this seriously. But after two days with no update and after many calls with the same response "We're still investigating", I decided to look into this company and found these reviews. I don't know why any seller would think this company is worth the risk when 1000s of people have had horrible experiences with them.

My company uses this horrible service, presumably to save a few pennies, and they are consistently terrible. Just today, I was at my home office waiting for a package when I saw their truck pull up. After five minutes, I wondered why I hadn't heard a knock on my door. The driver never attempted to make the delivery, but simply left a "sorry we missed you" notice in the lobby. DHL has no customer service. Their 800 number features no ability to talk to a person. Embarrassingly bad.

DHL is the worse company to do business with. They are not dependable and their drivers and customer service agents are very lazy. The delivery driver that service an area in Toronto is very lazy, he will send you a system email stating that “sorry we missed you” but the truth is he never showed up at your address, even if you choose the no signature option and leave instructions for them to deliver it and leave at your door, they will not do it. I am on the process of suing DHL for refusing to deliver my package and cause me a great inconvenience because I have a disability and I am not choosing an option for them to deliver it to a pick up point.

By far the worst packaging delivery service I’ve EVER experienced. I ordered a product & scheduled my delivery date for Thursday, September 19, 2024. DHL repeatedly changed the delivery date without my permission & attempted to deliver my package 3 days in a row. On Monday, when the delivery guy called, I informed him that my package was scheduled to be delivered on Thursday 9/19/2024. He said “ok this is my route so I’ll be the one to drop it off again.”—— I received an email & text from DHL & had to reschedule the delivery.
On Tuesday, I received ANOTHER notification via text & email that my “package would be delivered today” —— excuse me? What?! SMH I immediately called DHL to file a complaint & spoke with a representative who informed me she would fix the issue. The email I received from her/DHL stated “As requested, no signature is required for this shipment” and my pack would be delivered on 9/19/2024 on the ORIGINAL DATE without the need for a signature which I was ok with.
On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 11:47am I received ANOTHER notification via email & text that my package would be delivered “TODAY from 1600-1800”.. At 12:08pm, I received a notification via email & text that my package was unable to be delivered. Honestly, I don’t think they tried. NO ONE CALLED ME. I immediately called DHL AGAIN for the second time to file another complaint & have the package delivered on the ORIGINAL DATE 9/19/2024. The guy was passive & pretended to care. At that point, I didn’t trust this company to deliver anything. 3 delivery attempts on 3 incorrect days!! So I scheduled to pick up my package from the V Street location in Washington DC. I’ve never dislike a delivery company so much in my life!! Incompetent is an understatement!! BEWARE!!

DHL, the only delivery service that is worse than FedEx. They say they attempted a signature required delivery but clearly did not. How do I know? My driveway is 1/8 of a mile long. I know when a car pulls up. They were just too lazy to come that far. Customer service, and we really need another word here because they give service a bad name, say that it is my problem. They say that they will attempt again tomorrow, so I get to stay home again? And if they were too lazy to come this far today, why will tomorrow be different? The closest delivery partner is 30 miles away and that is my only option. To drive 30 miles, hoping I can get there before 5 'cause they are closed on weekends, and pick up my delivery. If you are thinking of using DHL, I would rather hire a random person off the street and take my chances. They are rude online and when you finally get someone on the phone, they are rude as well.

Worst company to ever deal with. They were supposed to delivery my two suitcases a small one and a larger one on the same day. They delivered the smaller one and said I was not home to deliver the second one. I got an email later that day saying it was ready for collection at the DHL point, but they did not specify which location. What a disaster that the product then got sent back to the seller without notifying me. The DHL customer service team is so slow at responding, that they sent it back a week later before they even investigated the issue. I had to repurchase a new one again and waiting on the refund for the other. Avoid avoid avoid DHL.

The absolute worst shipping company out there. I would never use them. I've been asked today for my Social Security Number to release a package. Who just gives their social security number to a shipping company. I have never ever been asked for this information from a shipping company. They charge you the highest custom fees and handling fees. Never use this shipping company. My package is now being returned the sending cause I'm not providing this information to them. DHL claims they tried to deliver today at 5:45, but since I have been home all day listening for the doorbell specifically to receive the parcel, their claim is either a lie, or they went to the wrong house. And since their representative said that their drivers do use GPS, there is almost no way they could have gone to the wrong house. Their website supposedly gave me a means to leave my email to be notified when the parcel is out for delivery. I did that--but was never notified.
If your parcel requires a signature at delivery: Based upon my experience with DHL, and their terrible reputation in these reviews, DO NOT EVER AUTHORIZE THEM TO DELIVER WITHOUT YOUR SIGNATURE! I have seen many reviews from people who did that and then never received their parcel and then had no recourse.
Their scheme is notify you that your parcel is to be delivered on a certain day, but that's just to have you sit home all that day waiting--and then at the end of that day they claim they tried to deliver but no one was home. They do that to get you to agree to let them deliver without a signature. If you try to reschedule online you will find that the only way to reschedule is to agree to let them deliver without your signature. Then you will have no recourse even if you never get the parcel.
If your parcel is from Europe, the EU Commission has an online dispute resolution platform. When using that platform, you can dispute under the "delivery" heading or under the "unfair practices" heading if, like me, you find that DHL is using aggressive practices to bully you into giving up your contract right to sign for the delivery. And don't forget to tell them to look at these 1000's of 1star reviews about DHL as proof.

The only reason I gave them a one star is there is no lower option. I had a parcel that I paid for arrive in Canada on May 15 to Quebec City and here on 27 June. I’m still told they’re waiting on customs. When you call you get disconnected and if you eventually get through to somebody that give you an alternative phone numberfor the for the customs broker and they don’t answer or return calls even if you subscribe to their callback service. Absolutely the worst customer service occur your company that I’ve ever experienced in my 60+ years.

As usual, DHL did not deliver my parcel as stated. I’ve been waiting for 3 days and now I’m told that there will be another delay of 1 or 2 days. The service from DHL is terrible. Stay far far away from them. My shipment got held up in customs for almost a month then they claimed my shipment requires a license to be sent back to the sender so it will be confiscated by customs. My shipment cost $1500. Absolutely appalling service, never again. Better to go with a cheap company and get shipment delivered with no hassle.

This company's VERY BAD reputation, it definitely proceeds them. Delivery time is never on time and customer support is horrible. Barely ** arguing with me on the phone about delivery times! Eta of drop off was 5 pm - 7 pm, I plan my day according to that and package shows up at 12pm. Contacting support after bots and automated system was impatient in my tracking number entry.
As I speak with support, they just keep talking. He asks me several questions at the same time instead of one at a time. I give him one answer and as I am giving him the other answers he's talking. Like, guy! He was very monotone and I can hear his temper over the phone. I'm irritated about the experience I'm having already with the company's automated system and my package not being delivered on time. He tells me that I have to wait all day for a package to be signed for, not times.
I told him I'm not happy with that. He was upset and started talking rapidly and over. He was arguing with me on the phone and I told him, "You are customer support, you don't have a right to be upset at me for my package not being delivered on time." It went on and on for 30 seconds before I hung up. This company needs to be put out of business. Someone should buy this company and redo everything. Especially who they hire. Not all support people are this way, hopefully, but they should just put this company out of it misery. DHL,YOU SUCK!

I normally use FX, but I had a client ship an item to me via DHL. DHL sent an email saying that it was delivered. It had not been delivered. After 30-45 minutes on the DHL website, I figured out that they claimed it was delivered, when they gave it to another party to deliver. However, the website did not tell me who it was delivered to. It supposedly had "proof of delivery" so I tried that and their "proof" was simply writing that it was delivered. There was no proof. So I called the company and was passed around the circle jerk, each time having to give the tracking number, the shippers, the recipient, the recipients address and phone number, only to be passed to someone else and have to do it over. (Don't these people have a computer.)
After finally getting to a rude customer agent I was called a liar, (They did not use the word, they simply told me that I was not looking at what I was looking at. What arrogance.) And finally was told that they would trace it. Oh, I forgot when I tried to schedule a call back, it was going to more than 30 hours in the future, so I had to wait. When I finally got my package, it had been opened and resealed, but nothing was missing.

DHL takes forever to deliver packages. My most recent package took almost three weeks to get from NJ to WI. Companies that use DHL shouldn't because they're gonna have some stars taken off for that. I wish I knew ahead of time which Companies used DHL because I would NOT shop with them.

Bought some parts for my car that in total what I paid was $98.00 with shipping to Mexico, the parts were what I paid 65 dollars and when the DHL delivery driver arrives in Mexico it turned out that I have to pay 2000 pesos, so I had to pay again what I spent, what I bought in parts not good. I think they are going too far in price for delivery. I will not using DHL more.

Awful, absolutely awful. They should shut down. We paid for three deliveries in 10 days. 2 we paid but did not receive the labels. No one to speak to to find out what has gone wrong. Cannot get a refund. I now have to go through a credit card company. One delivery was 2kg going overseas. We received an email blackmailing us to pay another £21 as our package is a whopping 5kg heavier than what we stated. This was a lie. A 2kg parcel now magically has become 7 kg. Pay, or we will dispose of the parcel with no option to return it. DHL should be closed down.

DHL delivery was horrible. The delivery guy literally threw the package on the floor at the front gate. Although the package is not fragile, the inside merchant packaging, which looks nice as a gift wrap, is broken. Very disappointing!

DHL first contacted me 3 days ago, informing me that the delivery address I have had for 25 years, and have shipped multiple similar Amazon packages to, was problematic. I have not had any other contact from DHL or the Delivery Representative, nor any confirmation that my delivery was successful, and the informed second delivery date and time has passed again. I would say DHL does not have a professional service in place whatsoever. Especially frustrating since I have been waiting quite some time for this package already.

I second the last review of the worst delivery company. I called DHL three times to schedule delivery. They told me they would call me 10 minutes before they arrived. I never received a call. They showed up twice on the wrong date so the package was not in the lobby. The day it was scheduled was supposed to be on May 10th friday 3-8 pm. They assured me they would call me to hand them the "papers" which I left taped to the boxes. I waited until 10 pm. I went to my lobby the next day and the packages were gone. I now find the packages will come back to me because the papers were not correct which is absolutely not true. If they had called me I could have shown them the papers which I had folded in the plastic sleeve. They have now made me miss my drop off costing me thousands of dollars.

Worst delivery Company!!! The drivers they hired are dumb!!! They don't read or follow instructions!!!! Unbelievable!!!! I have been waiting for a package for full 2 days and even before the first attempt, I requested NO CONTACT AND TO LEAVE THE PACKAGE IN FRONT THE DOOR. On the first attempt I was at the property with the lights on and they didn't ring the belt or knock at the door. I live in a gated community which is very safe and I had mentioned it on the website instructions for them to leave the package.
I filed a complaint yesterday and I was guaranteed that today I would not have the same problem. I am about to travel and I need this package before noon by tomorrow at the latest. They returned today (all the lights at the front of the garage, at the door, at the foyer are on). I am at the home office in the front of the house and again, the STUPID DRIVER comes again and DON'T RING THE BELL OR KNOCK AT THE DOOR OR LEAVE THE PACKAGE!!! The sender didn't request a signature, I filed a release of signature, the was already a complaint and I just called again about to EXPLODE!!!! I requested a manager to call me first thing in the morning tomorrow and to have my package deliver tomorrow before noon! I WON'T BUY ANYTHING THAT WILL GET SEND USING DHL EVER AGAIN!!!!

The company is good at shipping speeds, but they pressure you when you are a small company. They will threaten you to close your account unlike FedEx and UPS. It's very very annoying after telling them I'm trying to do over seas. I don't recommend for start up that are not established. Go to FedEx instead.

I cannot even begin to express the sheer magnitude of frustration and anger I feel towards this so-called "Fast, Easy and Affordable" customer service of DHL. Fast and easy? More like slow and excruciatingly painful! What happened to the, “it will be there in 3-5 business days.” Six weeks. Six long frustrating weeks since my package was supposedly sent, and yet my husband sits, still empty-handed. He too is NOT happy at all with the situation. What kind of incompetent, negligent operation are they running? This is not just a case of dropping the ball; this is a full-blown circus of ineptitude!
I've lost count of the number of emails and phone calls I've made in a futile attempt to resolve this debacle. Each time I reach out, I'm met with empty promises, meaningless apologies, and absolutely zero progress. At one time they even told me it had been destroyed because the receiver was not responding to them. Well, that would mean that they, DHL, would have made an attempt to contact the receiver or me, the shipper. Nope. Nothing. And, who gave them permission to destroy the package?!?!! No one. It has to happen at the shipping end through an agent/store. Was this an additional effort to cause me more frustration and anxiety! It's as if they thrive on our misery, reveling in our frustration as they twiddle their thumbs and do absolutely nothing to rectify the situation.
Customer service? Ha! What a laughable concept. They wouldn't know good customer service if it smacked them in the face with a two-by-four. They have single-handedly shattered any semblance of trust or goodwill I may have had towards their brand, leaving me with nothing but bitterness and regret for ever engaging with them in the first place. I will NEVER use them again and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. And, I’ll be sure to let as many people know as possible.
To anyone considering doing business with this sorry excuse for a company, I implore you: Run. Run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. Save yourself the headache, the heartache, and the sheer aggravation of dealing with these incompetent buffoons. Your time, your money, and your sanity are far too precious to waste on such a colossal failure of a business. Consider yourself warned. Still sitting empty handed and with no answers.

I had some medication from EXPRESS SCRIPTS ship by DHL. They send me a email on Friday, said had already delivered at 11:54am, I CHECKED at 12:00 (noon) and which I never get. I called DHL and Express Scripts immediately, DHL has closed. Today (morning) I got it at my front door. But seems, the package were rolled over by truck or car. BOTTLE, PILLS ARE BROKEN.

DHL customs clearance is impossible. Don't waste your time with the shipper if shipping from Europe to the USA. After a few emails back and forth, the package was shipped back to France. You can't get a person on the phone that can help or knows anything about getting a package through customs. Don't use them!

This is the WORST courier, they might as well say, "We will deliver whenever." Customer service is non-existent, existence if you can even understand what they are saying, when they give you a window, it doesn't mean anything. When you finally decide to pick up your package the pick-up location is jam-packed with people because they don't deliver. They are not reliable at all. I have a business delivery and it's now 6:05. When I call they are like, "Sorry about your bad luck." I'm sitting outside my office building waiting in the hot Florida sun, can't leave the spot because they might come.

My luggage was severely damaged by DHL International shipping labels, while traveling in Europe in Italy! These stubborn labels, each about 2' x 3' in size, have marred my Samsonite luggage. Removing them will be a lengthy, painstaking process. I am extremely disappointed with the entire service experience, from online booking to delivery, and the communication was abysmal. DHL is charging an exorbitant fee for customs clearance. While other brokers charge 5-10$, they're asking me for 62+$ for a <$260 order. The fact that the store - Displate - had, in the small print, a mention that Customer Fees may apply, is not at all indicative of a >25% surcharge, particularly given a Free Trade Agreement between our countries.

Review: I am extremely dissatisfied with DHL's service. Despite providing them with the correct address and designating a package room, they failed to deliver my package to the right location. Furthermore, they are refusing to take responsibility for the lost package and are instead instructing me to follow up with their various partners and channels. The package was stolen after it was carelessly thrown on the roadside near the designated package room, even though DHL had access to the package delivery room. Now, they are attempting to evade responsibility by redirecting me from one department to another, claiming that it is not their responsibility to engage with other departments and channels. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction is completely unacceptable.

Amazon used them at one point, as soon as I saw DHL or Purolator, I was cancelling my order. When I couldn’t, I made sure I called Amazon and asked them to NEVER use either of them for my orders. Their favourite sentence is “Attempted to deliver but….”. Literally, you are home waiting for the package and you see this right at the time when the package is supposed to be delivered. It is the most infuriating sentence from a delivery company because you know they outright lie and they make you just wait for hours at home. Don’t even try to call their customer service, it doesn’t exist in either company. If you see DHL or Purolator, I recommend you to cancel your order or just be ready for a lot of dust and frustration.

I paid almost 400$ to ship a coffee machine from Europe to Michigan. Customs assessed an import duty of 2,17$ ... DHL charged me 81,40$ after they added their "processing fees" .. this on top of the 400$ shipping charge. Trust me, DHL is not a good company.. they will nickel and dime you to the extreme. I have had constant slow deliveries by DHL. This time was time sensitive and promised by March 8, 2024. I have a screenshot of the tracking where the product arrived in the area but for some reason it did not deliver on the day promised. I really try not to write bad reviews but this company needs to step it up or more companies should discourage using their shipping services. I paid a lot of money for an overseas delivery (cold weather gear.) It got to the destination city with 10 days to spare, but the local DHL office did not contact us about additional information for customs until the 8th or 9th day. Then we were told that there was no weekend delivery. In the end, we had to buy all new cold-weather gear. What a waste of money and energy to get everything boxed and shipped. If DHL had not waited so long, it all would have worked fine. No refund. Why ship with DHL?

I was supposed to receive a package today via DHL. I’ve been tracking my package and thought it was odd that it was close by earlier today and then they drove to another town. I just received a text message stating they just tried to deliver to my home, and they will attempt tomorrow as no one was at the residence. Number one, I signed a package release 2 days ago and I have a copy of that. Number two, I have cameras that record 24/7. DHL did not attempt to deliver and when I called into customer service, they could have cared less, absolutely no help. I do not recommend this company to anyone. If you own a business, please do not ship your items via DHL!!!

I received a notice via email on Thursday, Feb. 15, that my package was not delivered because no one was home at the consignee address. I provided an alternate address to my home, which I normally wouldn't use but at least I knew I'd be home when they attempted to deliver. The scheduled delivery was Friday, Feb. 16, "By End of Day." No one showed up to deliver the package. On their website it said the delivery is "On Hold" all weekend.
This morning, I received a notice via text and email stating that my package is out for delivery, and it would be delivered between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. At approximately 12:05 PM I saw a DHL vehicle speed past my apartment in the parking lot at about 30 mph. I ran out to the porch and yelled to them, but they sped off. I ran outside to see if they were circling back around (my complex is a big circle, not a complicated place at all), and I didn't see them. Then, while still outside looking for the vehicle, I received a text message and email that said, "Sorry, we missed you," and "we were unable to deliver your DHL Express shipment because you were not home at the time of our attempted delivery."
I emailed their socialcare email address that I found on one of their bad reviews on Google and explained what happened. The person at that email said they are reviewing further with their local management team. I contacted the sender, a private language school where I earned the certificate that is in my package I'm trying to receive, and I asked them to also contact DHL to push them to deliver the package. The DHL website won't let me schedule another delivery or pickup because it says I've used the maximum number of allowed delivery requests, even though I've only used it once to provide an alternate address, and confirmed they have my correct contact info.
I contacted a customer service agent via live chat on their website and explained the situation and provided all the necessary information. They said the driver said there was no "gate code" provided, however, THERE IS NO GATE! There is no gate code, nothing like that. There is a security door and there is a phone number for couriers to call posted on a sign on each entrance, so it is obvious the driver did not even stop at any entrance to notice anything like that. I informed the people at that phone number, who are staffing an office on the property, about this delivery in advance and they were not contacted by any courier. I have now launched a twitter (X) account to tweet at DHL about the matter, I have a possibly ongoing email dialogue with an agent with a reference number, and I am awaiting the agent I chatted with to respond with some news, but all they have to do is deliver the package or give me the option to pick it up, and I have heard nothing back yet.
The contents of the package is a certificate of English language teaching, which is very hard to have reissued. I worked very hard to earn it, and the entire chain in the shipping industry worked fine until it got to Denver, where I live, and it is here where their customer service began to shine with total incompetence and dishonesty. I have spent days waiting at home to receive the package, putting everything else in life off, and I'm still sitting here waiting. I'm exhausted, my nerves are shot, and I don't know what else to do. I still haven't received my package! This is unbelievably pitiful customer service. I didn't know the school was going to send it to me through DHL. I thought it would be through UPS. If I had the choice, I would definitely NOT have chosen DHL as a shipping company.

DHL attempts to deliver after working hours, does not update you on attempts to deliver so you can arrange for delivery, cancels delivery without notice, and is the source of major inconvenience. GO WITH UPS OR FEDEX INSTEAD. I cannot emphasize enough how much of a waste of time and money DHL is to its customers. Also horrible customer service. Offers no viable alternatives and increases delivery times by one month after paying a ton of money to get the package delivered quickly.

I made the mistake of shipping a time sensitive part from Texas to Utah. I paid Extra to receive the part TODAY and it did not arrive. I went back to the Tracking just to discover that the package was shipped from TEXAS to OHIO. The Customer Service Department tried to use COVID as an excuse for it not being delivered on time and that was followed by they are not responsible for the Delay (if they are not, then who is?).
They then informed me that even though I paid for the Express Shipping, they do not provide a refund for THEIR ERROR. This was then followed by them informing me that even though delivery was scheduled for Thursday, it will not be here by Friday either and hopefully it will be here by Monday. DO NOT SHIP WITH DHL, they do not provide a service that you pay extra for and then do not stand behind their services or lack thereof.

This shipping company held my package and did not send me an invoice for the duties. I only noticed that it was being held by seeing it with my tracking number from eBay. I had an unbelievable time trying to get through to the right department just to pay my bill. The Canadian website gave me a link via a chat bot that took me to the UK department and when I finally got a live chat there, they told me I needed to go back to the Canadian site, which is exactly how I got the UK site. It took a lot of searching to finally get a live person who said he would send a link to my cell phone and didn't. He also dropped the call as I waited to get put through to give feedback on my experience.

I can't believe this company is still in business. Anytime I've ever had something shipped to me via DHL, the actual delivery time was weeks beyond the estimated delivery dates and that is only when I actually received my packages. Half the time my stuff got lost in shipping only to spend a month of getting the runaround between DHL and the company that used them as the carrier to ship my items. This outfit needs to pull the plug and call it quits. They can't get anything right. I would rate them negative stars if I could.

ZERO Stars. Think twice before you ship using DHL. They have zero accountability or regard for fixing issues. They give no protection or care if they are leaving customers out hundreds of dollars. I sent a package in December out through Staples by DHL. The package was going to Cabo San Lucas, it contained gifts (a valued name brand backpack, baby clothing, two Goorin Bros hats). The package was valuable and I ensured it to be safe. I paid over $200 to ship the package. The package arrived in Mexico and it was held in Queretaro, far from Cabo. Tracking said "shipping event".
At that point - the receivers were told they needed an "import license" and had to hire a customs broker - I called DHL and they told me the items shipped were prohibited from being shipped into the country and gifts were inadmissible! Why wasn't I informed of this prior to shipping - I would have never shipped it!? THEN rather than sending the parcel back to me - it was held for a "period" of time, and tracking stated that an authorization request had been submitted to have the package DISPOSED! DISPOSED? Who authorized this request without contacting the shipper?!? Even with return address, email and contact phone numbers in this day and age?
Customer service was of ZERO help, they said they made attempts to have the package removed from the "DISPOSAL bin" to no success. In this day and age this is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. It looks like the items were stolen in Mexico, or confiscated by customs - there is something seriously shady going on here. NOW Staples is trying to make an insurance claim for the value of the contents, and we are waiting. DHL - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. Your company is awful and embarrassing. What has transpired is unconscionable. Now I am out almost a thousand dollars!

On 1-4-24 I was scheduled to have a very important package with parts for my car. I am scheduled to have the work done the next day. The driver never came on the grounds to make a delivery. No driver is seen anywhere on security cameras. I live in a gated community where all deliveries are to go to the security gate in order to gain access. I and my wife was home at the time. No ring from my bell, no knock on the door. As signature was required upon delivery. This seriously has to stop. This happens EVERY TIME I’m expecting a delivery from them. This was an issue in the past numerous times. What’s worse is I was willing to go to the dispatch center, but as a lot of companies, their customer service call center is based overseas so it’s difficult to fully understand their customer and get professional customer support from its reps.
I strongly suggest that e-commerce companies DO NOT ship with DHL if they want their packages delivered in a timely fashion with drivers lying about making a delivery attempt. Something need to be done about this. Amazon, Post Office, UPS and FedEx have no problems delivering packages. This is a reoccurring issue that need to be addressed if not by them then through consumer affairs. Nothing will be done if the issue’s not addressed and rectified.

I ordered items from overseas and was promised that the package would arrive on 1/3/24 and it was changed to 1/2/24. The package never arrived. I waited an extra day to see if the package would arrive. It did not. Called customer service. They said they would investigate and get back to me the following day, which they did. I was told told by a rep that my package was out on the delivery truck and out for delivery. 5pm comes around and no package. I called and was told by another rep that DHL could not find my package and they confirmed it was lost. Now according to them I have to file a claim when it was their fault that they lost my package. One of the worst delivery carriers.

Like many big companies, DHL has shipped their entire customer service team off-shore so if you have an issue with your delivery right here in the USA, BEST OF LUCK getting a message to your driver if in fact they continue delivering your package to the wrong address or didn't make the 1% effort to walk to the correct door of your apartment. When I called back to get a local DHL # to try and contact a store, they actually told me that wasn't possible!?!? LOL... They actually don't want to talk to you here. Better off using USPS, a gov't. organization because at least they know where their trucks are.

Was expecting a package and DHL gave me a delivery date. It wasn’t until AFTER the delivery date had passed that they updated the delivery date to a new date. We’ll see if it gets delivered on the new date.

DHL needs to be shutdown. I scheduled to pick my package up from service point and they gave me the address of where it can be picked up. I called customer service to confirm before driving an hour and they told me they made a mistake so the package would be delivered to my home. I called back to confirm then they said they didn’t have the correct address which was a lie, I confirmed my address with them several times. Then they sent a notification saying there was a failure and they couldn’t deliver my package and that I can pick it up at the service center Saturday and Sunday for me to find out the service center is closed both days and now I can receive my package for another 3 or 4 days because of the holiday. I spoke to a supervisor and the supervisor was rude with me. There has to be something we can do about this because as I can see I’m not the only one that has an issue with dhl.

Do yourself a favor and choose any courier service other than DHL. They are the least reliable delivery company on the planet. They sent a message saying they could not deliver package because no one was at home. Liar, I was home all day & night that date. There's no way to talk to a live person, everything is automated, digital responses. I was told they will try again next day! Never happened, I'm still waiting to find out where my package is. Tracking showed they never even came to my city, so how did they "attempt" to deliver if you are in the wrong city? Stay away from dhl services, what a nightmare it's been.

Yesterday I received tracking that my package would be delivered between 8 and 10 pm. At 8:30 I received notification that my package would not be delivered. AT 10:30 this morning I received notification my package would be delivered between 8 and 10 pm. I sat outside of my building from 7:30pm until 8:30pm when I again received notification my package would not be delivered. I called their customer service that told me the driver had too many packages. My window was 8-10pm and at 8:30 was told it would not be delivered. Their customer service is now closed and all I can do is file a complaint. It makes no sense to put a package on a truck two days in a row if you have no intent to deliver the package. The closest location to redirect the package is 31 miles away.

Yesterday they delivered my package to the wrong address, there is no evidence of the delivery of the package. Call to make the claim but if they cannot recover it, they will not be responsible for the loss. I am very dissatisfied and for me they have terrible service.

Send the package to Columbia consisting of sons original birth certificate, passport, social security and travel consent form due for a trip on December 24th. It is now December 27th and nobody has a clue as to where the package is. I have lost 1,700 in flight tickets and an additional $300 for hotel reservations. It seems as if nobody cares what my situation is. Not to mention they moved out the apartment and I'm paying for a hotel till I get my paperwork.

Ordered a Xmas gift for my husband in early December with promise from the seller it would be delivered between the 15th and 20th of December. The seller shipped it via DHL and it arrived at the local DHL office on Dec 18th (per tracking) and I received a text that it would be delivered that day. We were home all day and no delivery attempt was ever made, yet tracking said that there was a "failed delivery attempt". Then I received a text it would be delivered on the 19th, then on the 20th, then on the 21st, then on the 22nd....No delivery attempts were made on any of these dates and I finally had to go out and buy another gift so my husband would have something for Xmas.
I reached out to DHL customer service twice and they were no help...Didn't seem to know any more about my package than I did and told me to just keep monitoring it on-line. I received a text today (Dec 26th) saying it would be delivered today and, you guessed it, no delivery was attempted. Now it says it will be delivered tomorrow. I have lost hope that I will ever see this package. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a shipping company and reading other reviews, it sounds like I am not alone. Right now a full 83% of reviews for DHL give it a one star rating.

My son's shipment from Goat was received at a Dallas, TX facility on December 19th, 2023 at 7:28am and to this date (Dec. 26, 2023) has not been received, it has been placed on Hold. I found some phone numbers online and tried calling one and she stated that she would let them know to ship out today. I found another phone number and another lady stated that they needed to know if this shipment was to be "picked up" or "delivered to the address". What!!! No phone call. No email. No letter stating they needed more information from us. I mean, there is an address on the package/shipment that has our address, so Why did they need to know Where it needed to be picked up or delivered? This was a very expensive Christmas gift for my son. No communication and no package as of yet. Disappointed doesn't nearly describe how I feel about this situation.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I have never had a package delivered in less than 2-3 weeks time even though the tracking says otherwise. I ordered a gift on Etsy for my son for Christmas on November 28…Got notice that it shipped Dec. 4 and had a tracking number. From December 4 to today, the tracking says it is being processed in Raleigh, NC. I will never again order from any company that “ships” DHL. I will pay more to request delivery by anyone else.

For two days they’ve provided me the same information that my package was out for delivery... on the third day I called and information totally changed saying my package hasn’t been scanned to be delivered yet. I’m highly disappointed and concerned. I really dislike this company.

For several days my grandson kept getting a text that his package was out for delivery. Driver never showed up then lied and said business was closed. For 3 days text was showing package was to be delivered. You can never talk to a live person in customer service, all robotic text. Worst worst customer service ever. Worst shopping company that I have ever used. Beware!

Ordered rings from Greece. Paid extra to have them here in time for Christmas. Company shipped them and they arrived 90 miles from my house and then disappeared. Was promised by online chat and by people on phone that they would be here on the 18th, 19th, 20th, and still not here. Customer relations expert says she does not know where they are, so I guess all the others were not telling the truth. Worst company ever. Would give negative stars if I could. Do not use.

Worst delivery service ever. Couple of my packages are delayed. After their estimated delivery date have passed I wrote them an email to ask for assistance. Their reason for delay is because of the high volume of shipments and there is no EDD available! I mean isn't high volume of shipment good for their business? How is it a surprise? Isn't moving stuffs is what they're supposedly good at? I just don't understand their business guarantee of getting your packages before the holidays and then screw up in the process - fundamental criteria of a scam! If you have other options, stay away from DHL. Otherwise put a review because technically that's the only thing you can do when you've already paid for their service.

Shipment from China. Made it to El Paso TX, Placed on hold because can't ship to p.o. box. Shipping address is physical location residential property. After hours of trying to contact DHL, finally found an email address. Stated the problem and DHL responded that problem had been resolved and package would arrive next day. The next day received email that package was on hold again and that I needed to contact them again. Their computerized phone system will not let you talk to a real person, neither does their chatbot.

DHL is impossible to deal with. I was looking for third party carrier information and was told I had a package that had a freight charge (not true). I had to keep calling back and after 6 attempts I finally was able to get the information I needed. There is a lack of communication and customer service skills with DHL. I would never choose them for any shipments I make.

On December 11th my package was delivered torn wide open and The Courier signed my signature and it did not report whatever happened to open the package with almost all of my order gone. Of 17 items I only received 15.
