    DHL is far the worst shipping company. Two times in a row package shows out for delivery with courier, two times in a row they do not show up and then put shipment on hold. They never once came to my house which is my place of work to deliver. Even when they deliver, they are supposed to get signature, I never sign for a package, they will just drop and grow. I did lodge a formal complaint against the DHL location, but, they don't care, just ignored it and continue with their HORRIBLE SERVICE. If you have the option DO NOT EVER USE DHL.

    Had to send some very necessary legal documents from Oregon to Germany. Arrives in the country a little late, and is shipped to a facility within TEN MILES of its final destination. And is mysteriously shipped off to Japan. From there it wanders that country - they say it's a mistake but then send it to Hong Kong. It mysteriously disappears. Nothing in 36 hours. Chat "help" only makes it worse: incoherent, changes the subject and asks if I want it returned? Their website is a trainwreck too (and I do some coding for a living so not new to this). It rejects me sometimes, won't let me start an account. Nothing makes sense and they're not fessing up.

    Enough said but I thought I will add one more nail. This company is totally broken. Avoid. In summary, more expensive than other brand name competitors. Horrible customer service. Online system did not work. Phone system did not work. Operators are rude and dropped your call. Signature required means nothing... Stay away.

    I am writing to express my concern regarding the handling of a recent shipment sent via your service. On April 9, 2026, I sent an envelope from your DHL Store in Coral Gables, Miami, to Jerusalem, Israel, with an estimated delivery date of April 13, 2026. While I understand that current geopolitical conditions may cause disruptions, I find the lack of communication and transparency unacceptable. The shipment remained on hold in Leipzig, Germany, for nearly a week without any notification or explanation. I received no updates, alerts, or guidance through your website or tracking system. It was only through a third party that the recipient learned DHL was not delivering to private addresses in that area, but only to designated pickup locations.

    After the recipient contacted a customer service representative and updated the delivery details, the shipment resumed movement. However, at no point was I informed of the issue, nor was I contacted regarding the necessary action. Additionally, I attempted to file a claim regarding the delay and lack of communication, but your website makes this process unnecessarily difficult and unclear. This experience reflects a serious gap in customer communication and service reliability. I respectfully request an explanation and a review of your procedures to ensure that customers are properly informed in similar situations. Horrible Customer Service, Typing not available to Customer Service chat, no way to file a claim for late delivery at their website. Sincerely,

    I had an average experience with DHL. The package was delivered within the expected time frame, but there were a few issues along the way. Tracking updates were sometimes delayed, which made it a bit difficult to know the exact status of the shipment. The delivery itself was completed without any damage, which I appreciate, but customer service could have been more responsive when I had questions. Overall, it’s a reliable service, but there’s definitely room for improvement in communication and support.

    If I could give this delivery service zero stars, I would love to do that. They take forever and don't provide updates. I have never had a fast delivery from them, in fact they are always very late. I can't even see where my order has been for the past 6 days. It's 6 days late. I really wish princess polly and omighty didn't use this service. I'm probably going to have to stop shopping at those places (two of my favorite stores) because I can't stand DHL.

    Never delivered my package after marking it for delivery. No customer service period was hang up on after giving information which was right. All my information was on what I bought from Amazon. Had to get my refund from Amazon because DHL will not answer.

    My package is just sitting for absolutely no reason, it’s been over a week. All within the USA, I ordered a package and didn’t have a choice in who it ships through, otherwise I would’ve chose anybody else.

    I bought a book from Netherlands for $12 and paid for DHL shipment $30. In 3 days, I received a message that I have to pay $19.78 import duties. However, goods like books have no import duties. When I questioned a DHL representative about this obvious lie, she told me that DHL had to pay $0.78 at customs and that’s why they charged me another $19 for a “service” fee. What a scam! They charged $30 for delivery plus $19 for non-existent custom duties or services. Those .78 cents should be included in the initial shipment charge. They basically charged $19 to press a button on a computer. And they LIED that this is an “import duty charge”. I guess lying to clients is the corporate culture of DHL.

    Worst service ever, I don't know why companies ship with them. FedEx, UPS and Amazon can find my door to leave deliveries at, but not DHL. Then when you call customer service you press 1 for English and get some representative in a foreign country that you cannot understand and they refuse to transfer you to an American agent. Still can't find my shipment.

    While my recent experience with DHL had a few challenges, I appreciate their efforts in handling my shipment. There were some delays, and I would have liked more proactive communication regarding the delivery timeline. However, the customer support team remained responsive whenever I reached out.

    I believe there is room for improvement in terms of transparency and providing more accurate delivery updates, which would greatly enhance the overall customer experience. With better communication, DHL can truly match the high expectations people have from an international courier service. Hoping to see improvements in the future.

    Absolutely pathetic service from DHL. My shipment was delayed multiple times without any proper communication or explanation. Every time I contacted customer support, I got the same scripted response saying it would be delivered "tomorrow" — which never happened. The lack of transparency and accountability is shocking for a company of this size. They clearly don't care about their customers once they've taken the payment. The delay caused significant inconvenience, and their casual attitude made it worse. I expected better from an international courier service, but this experience has completely destroyed my trust. I will never use DHL again and strongly advise others to choose a more reliable alternative. Save yourself the stress and go with a different courier service.

    Absolutely abysmal service. DHL claimed a delivery failure on the 23rd due to an "incorrect address," which is a blatant lie—the address was 100% correct. Since then, the tracking hasn't updated once. I’ve spoken to two different representatives who gave me two different stories: one promised delivery on the 26th, the other on the 27th. Neither happened. Now I’m traveling next week and am stuck with a package that’s essentially been held hostage by a company that can't tell the truth. They won't even tell me where I can go to pick it up myself. Save yourself the headache and use literally any other carrier.

    DHL is like a franchise with each country being its own franchise - which means there is no information, consistency, or continuity. No one can help find your package and they make you call the other country's DHL - which, if you do not have international calling, you can't call. I was told this was the way to go if I needed shipping internationally but it has been a nightmare. I can't even ship something to myself because I (an individual) don't have a business import account or a credit card that originates in the country I am shipping things from.

    So, I had to enlist my family in a different country to receive the shipment so that they can then personally ship to me- although the website auto-INcorrected his address when I hit submit and I had to go through a whole other round of customer service to fix that (that rep was very helpful). Definitely not going to be DHL when he finally gets the package. Then, the package of documents, which was time sensitive, was not picked up on time. In fact, it still hasn't been picked up and it is Friday. The Customer service rep couldn't tell me any information about the status of the pick up.

    I was expecting to receive a package when I was notified by DHL that more information was needed. I contacted them by phone and provided the requested information. They then asked for further information from the sender who also provided all of the requested information. After they held the package in “customs processing” for weeks, they changed the status to return package to sender. At that point it was impossible to get in touch with anyone and when I called they simply advised the package was returned. The sender was then advised that the reason for the return was that I failed to provide requested information. I provided EVERYTHING that was asked for. Just an AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

    A member of our family is expecting a package delivery. A woman who identified herself as Chinese called earlier and arranged for the package to be left without a signature since everyone in the household is at work during the day and unable to sign for deliveries. We agreed to this arrangement. Later, the same woman called again and claimed that there was a balance of $260 that needed to be paid and instructed us to go to a website to make the payment. This is extremely suspicious because the shipment we are expecting contains only a single piece of paper, which should not reasonably incur such a charge. Because of this, we are concerned that this may be a scam attempt.

    What is especially troubling is that the caller knew our name and phone number, which suggests that our contact information may have been accessed through your system or through someone connected to the delivery network. This does not appear to be a random scam. We respectfully request that you investigate this matter, as it is possible that customer information is being improperly accessed or shared with scammers. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

    Has to be the worst shipping company on planet earth. Order a some very rare car parts and they lost them during shipping after changing me a duty fee, It took almost 2 months to get my money back and hours of phone tag. Do yourself a favor and stay away from doing business with DHL.

    DHL consistently charged the Trump tariffs on physical recorded media (vinyl albums) purchased from Napalm Records in Europe, despite those items being clearly exempt under HTS Code 8523.80.10 exemptions. Want your money back because it was improperly taken in the first place? There's a "research fee" that is 3x more than the tariff. And there's no time to try to resolve it while it's happening, because they give you a five day pay-or-else shakedown.

    I am extremely disappointed and heartbroken by my experience with DHL. My package arrived in the USA on 2/11/2026, and I was supposed to pay $50 to receive it. However, no one ever contacted me about this payment. I had no emails, no calls, no messages nothing. I was left completely confused, wondering why my package was being held. I spent so much time today calling customer service and spoke with four different people, desperately asking for help. Each call was exhausting and emotionally draining because no one gave me a clear answer. Finally, one person told me to go in person to the DHL location in Westborough to pick up my package.

    When I arrived, instead of receiving help, I was treated horribly. The employee there was extremely rude and mean. When I explained that I was told over the phone to come to the store, she yelled at me. Her tone and behavior were so harsh that I started crying right there. I felt humiliated, disrespected, and completely powerless. I came in already stressed and confused, just trying to get my package, and I left feeling hurt and shaken. No customer should ever be treated this way. This experience was awful, and I will never forget how badly I was treated.

    Frustrating, Unresponsive, and Ultimately Undelivered – My DHL Express Nightmare. I rarely leave public reviews, but this experience deserves a warning to anyone considering DHL Express.

    Zero Customer Support

    • I spent more than 24 straight hours trying every phone number and chat option I could find. Not once did a human pick up. A global “express” carrier that can’t answer a call is unacceptable.

    Broken Billing System
    • The moment I received the “port fee” email, I paid—minutes, not hours, later. I have the receipt.

    • Yet automated messages kept flooding my inbox insisting the fee was still outstanding. No way to submit proof, no person to correct the error.

    Where’s My Package?

    • After the payment fiasco, the shipment status sat in limbo. Delivery date came and went. No update, no explanation, no parcel.

    Trust Destroyed
    • Time lost: countless hours.
    • Money wasted: shipping charges plus duplicative “fees.”
    • Stress level: off the charts.

    • Confidence in DHL Express: zero.

    Bottom line: If you value your time, sanity, or the actual arrival of your package, steer clear. This was my first—and absolutely my last—encounter with DHL Express. NEVER again.

    I had no choice but to get my British passport via DHL but what a nightmare, I was home when it was scheduled to be delivered, but no-one came, the next day the same then I got a message that they couldn't deliver it because they didn't have the gate code in my apartment, I received no message asking for it, so then I had to arrange for them to be sent for pickup, talked with may DHL agents and was told they had changed it to an address close to me, good job I called as it wasn't there, finding phone numbers to call is also bad as it's hard to get past the robot.

    DHL is the SLOWEST delivery company in the world! They usually let package sit in “pre transit “ for over a week, then they realize their job is to deliver packages and they eventually get around to it, maybe another week or two…but then a month later your package arrives!! Keep up the high quality work DHL ☹️

    They send a customs bill less than 24 hours prior to set delivery date. You pay, but they say the payment hasn’t cleared their system. They keep notifying you to pay customs or package will be returned. It is a stressful process and no customer appreciation. Terrible experience. Still waiting.
