Events & Adventures Reviews

I was told there would be events close in location but very few are. Also, most of the events worth going to are almost always filled up. I'm really angry with myself that I was sold on something that is so disappointing. They set up the contract in a way that makes you feel scammed. There are so many better and less costly options available. I could kick myself everyday for joining.

I got interested in Events and Adventures because I wanted to attend events. My first event felt pretty good. So far, I’ve attended around 10 events and my favorite was the 4th of July. I’ve also participated in group activities such as volleyball and bowling. I’ve made lots of new friends through Events and Adventures. The events are fun and it’s nice to have somebody plan up a calendar for you. But a lot of people expect a little bit more from it.

I'm recently single, so I was trying to meet people. I have a lot of friends that are married or involved with somebody so it's a little bit different dealing with them when you're the only single guy in the group. The first event was pretty low-key, it was just a little get-together in a hotel in San Francisco, so it wasn't anything spectacular. I wasn't nervous; I was just a little not sure exactly what to expect and who's gonna be there. It turned out to be a night, not a fantastic evening but a nice evening.

What got me interested in joining Events and Adventures was the variety of things that they offered in their calendar and a way to get to know the area and meet some people. I was a little nervous arriving at my first event. But it's fine because everybody's in the same boat: we're going to meet new people and try new things.

I was really nervous before my first event because the type of people that I hang out with are bikers and living in roadhouses, just getting out in bars. But I got tired of bars, I don’t even drink. So I decided to try this out and everything went good. I heard about Events and Adventures through Facebook. It’s very interesting. I liked that I get to meet people of different types, races and cultures. And I just wanted to meet friends and hang out and see where it went. I’ve attended about 40% of the events that I came across. So far, game night is my favorite. Also anything that had to do with sports, shooting, martial arts, and stuff like that.

With Events & Adventures, what hooked me was the pre-set calendar, taking all the effort out of planning your social life. I was interested in doing different things. At first I was excited and nervous. It actually took a couple of events before I felt comfortable and I've been to at least a hundred events. There are different things each season - corn maze in the fall, bonfires on the beach in the summer and camping trips. I've dated quite a bit, but my friend group has tripled since I joined the club. It's really easy. Everyone is there for the same reason, so you kind of cut through all the awkwardness and you can get straight to being friends. It's worth it.

My experience with Events and Adventures has been generally positive. I've made some good friends through it. I'm not sure that I would consider them to be creative with their schedule year-to-year, but for members that are one-year members, it's pretty good, and those of us that have been in longer, we just hang out anyway.

Before getting to my first event, I was a little nervous about who would be there, how many, and what they would be like. But the host was awesome and very welcoming and there was another new person too so it felt very open, very friendly, very welcoming. Since I joined Events and Adventures almost a year ago, I’ve been to about 60 events and trips. I average around 5 a month. My favorite so far are the zip lining and the camping trips. It’s fun trying new things and meeting good people. I’ve made a lot of new friends. I have enlisted two other people into the club since I've joined. I really like it, I do.

A friend referred me to Events & Adventures last October 2013. I went with my friend to a couple of events and it was cool. She already told me what it was going to be like so I had a pretty good idea. I had a great time the first few times that I went. I attended a few times and finally the coordinator said I had to sign up as I've been going a few times. I knew it was going to be kind of pricey so I did some research on it. I rolled the dice and jumped in and I had a good time.

I was new in town and didn't know anybody. I was looking for some place to meet people, heard about Events & Adventures on the radio and it worked out perfectly. I was anxious when I arrived at my first event. But then everyone was really friendly and easy to talk to. I had a lot of fun. After that I couldn't really keep track of how many trips and events I have attended. I like when we go to the beach and on the party boat. I was really active in the beginning, and then I met my girlfriend through the Event & Adventures. We kind of stopped going for a little bit, and now we’re trying to go back into it. Overall, the experience was exciting. It is a good way to challenge yourself and meet new people and end up doing things that you would not normally do.

The experience has been good. I like it and it's fun.

This organization is great at overcharging you for a membership to attend events to meet new people. First off you pay a membership fee every month in addition to a monthly fee which all in all can end up costing you over $1000 a year. Now the kicker is that even after being a paying member, you're also having to spend more cash on a majority of the events. So with your monthly fees, you have to pay additional for the events themselves. Something as simple as a get together at a bar and somehow I have to fork out $40 plus to attend the event. The quality of people are no better than Meetup.com (which btw is completely free!).

I have been a member for almost a year. They do set up a variety of events and almost anyone can find something they enjoy doing. My only recommendation would be to have events on multiple locations in a given night. Where I live in the Chicago area makes it difficult to get to a lot of the events as most of them are in the city. So sometimes I feel like I don't get the most out of it because I have to travel so far to get to most of the events. It would be nice if they had a city event and a suburban event most nights of the week and had more of a variety of locations.

I signed up for Events & Adventures because of the activities that they do. I haven't gone on any trips, but I've attended probably 8 to 10 events. My favorite was the Circus class, and the learn how to be a bartender event.

I have a lifetime membership and have been with them since 2000. My favorite trip so far is Africa. I've been to several trips and they're generally organized and they've led to some other trips, like my trip to New York on travel business ended up doing a pilot trip with friends, which is really great. That's not all we do... like river rafting -- nobody in my age group is interested in doing stuff like that. One thing I like about the trips is that there are people of all ages, so you get to find people in the group that's interested in doing what you're interested in doing. If I can do it with the young folks, they're happy to have me along, which is nice... I've made some new friends.

I first heard about Events and Adventures on the radio. What interested me most about the club is the chance to do some fun things and meet some new people. I have attended about 30 events and adventures but I have not gone on any trips. A few of the group activities I have participated in were some trampoline dodge ball, volleyball, the fireworks boat ride and couple of bonfire parties. Overall, it's been a fun experience and I've enjoyed pretty much everything I've done.

I joined Events & Adventures because it was an activities club. I was nervous on the first event but everything went ok. I was a member for a long time so I've joined several hundreds of events and trips. My favorites were the trampoline dodge ball and camping. It was all wonderful. It was a great way for people to do things they've never done before. To do things that they like to do in groups, like bowling or camping. And it's a great way to meet a huge variety of people.

I was new to Chicago. I did not have any friends and did not know anybody. And the Events and Adventures radio ad I heard talked about that - about moving to a new city and not knowing anybody. I thought I'd check it out. It's also quite a few events and activities in Chicago, places I was new to at the time. And I just simply went to a lot of activities as well like sky diving and rafting. I was a little bit apprehensive at first and did not really know what to expect but that was a long time ago. I've been attending events since February of 2013. I've been to two camping trips and I plan to go to the Grand Canyon set in August and another camping for Labor Day. I have been to a few member meetings and dance events. I've been to two campings for Memorial Day, in 2013 and 1014. I've been to a lot of things really, a lot of clubs and bars and a few dinners. I made a lot of new friends who are now my close group of friends in Chicago.

I joined Events & Adventures so that I could get out and meet new people. I've been a member for 5 to 7 years. I was excited going to my first event and now have since then attended a lot of events and met new people.

I got interested in Events & Adventures because I like going out and doing different things with different people. I remember, during my first event, I was a little nervous. But after I started getting involved and loosening up, meeting more people and having fun -- I made quite a few friends. So far, I’ve attended around 15 or 20 different events: horseback riding, white water rafting, bonfire, Fourth of July. I even went on the trip down to Wisconsin Dells, and we had a blast. I was going almost every weekend, up until I broke my foot about a week ago. Events & Adventure is definitely worth the time. You meet lots of new people and enjoy yourself quite a bit. I'm having fun.

I moved back to Chicago, and I don't really know a lot of people here, apart from those who are married. Not too long after that, I heard about Events & Adventures on the radio. I felt nervous before my first event. But that changed when I arrived. April, the event coordinator at the time, was very friendly and welcoming. So far, I’ve attended around 40 or 50 events and a couple of camping trips as well. My favorite was the Labor Day camping last year. I might be going on the same one next year.

My experience with Events & Adventures was great. I've made lots of friends and I'm the host and I really enjoy it. I haven't been on any trips but I would say I've been to probably 60 events. My favorite was the Zombie Room Escape - we're basically locked in a room full of zombies. And there are a bunch of clues and riddles that you have to figure out within a certain time limit. Every ten minutes the zombie is unchained a little bit more. And our group got eaten, so to speak. But if you figure out all of the clues, you basically escape before the zombie eats you. I've also done one of those Murder Mystery dinners which I really liked because there's a bunch of clues and you got to figure out who the murderer is. I've also done the Cubs game and Sox games. I haven't found any significant others yet but I've made some great friends. E & A is a great club and I hope to continue to have new experience with them.

I first heard about Events & Adventures from a friend. What got me interested was the fact that there were a lot of people in the same situation that wanted to go out and do things. I've probably attended about ten activities and so far my favorite was bowling. I've made some friends so far and they're real great.

I needed to get out and start meeting new people and doing things. Events & Adventures came along at a point in my life where I really needed to separate from my old life and start a new one. I've been to about three or four events and I liked the bowling and the kayaking. I'm a little bit disappointed in that there aren't more older people in it. It's a very young group and I'm in my fifties and the average seems to be about mid-thirty. So when I went to Canada Day, I just felt like I was hanging around with a bunch of teenagers so I left. But it's a good group with fun events.

I was a little nervous going to the first couple of Events & Adventures events but after that it was fine. I've been with them since August and have done a ton of stuff. My favorite so far is the karaoke. We've done different bars, game nights, pool parties, and billiards and we've got a sailing thing on Saturday. It is fun. Everyone needs to go knowing that it's getting to know other people without having a different expectation. Some people come with different expectations and they expect to have a date right away but that's not what it is and that's what makes it difficult.

What really got me interested to Events & Adventures is my daughter when she turned 30, her husband had this big planned birthday bash for her and they invited me to go along. We went to Austin, Texas and we went zip lining. We stayed at a real nice motel overnight. And that is what prompted me to check it out and it sounded just exactly what I thought I was looking for. Not a dating service but activities with just all single people.

I heard about Events & Adventures on the radio, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to make friends. I was pretty excited before my first event, and now, it’s been two and half years since I became a member. I've gone to around a hundred events at this point. Some months I do 3, some months I do 2, but some months I do 7. I used to go a lot before. Just recently I stopped going to as many because I started going to grad school.

It's been over a year since I joined Events & Adventures. I had just moved here from out of state and I wanted to try new things. I wanted to get out and make friends. I haven't attended any of the trips because I'm a teacher and every time I plan the big trips, I can't get that time off from work. I've been to events and they vary with work and what's happening. It could be a couple of times a week to one a week. I was nervous and excited at first but once I started going and making friends, I was totally fine. I've done the common ones like going to bars and restaurants. I've done hot air ballooning and stand up paddle boarding, fencing, kayaking and I've made a ton of friends.

I was extremely nervous before arriving to my first event. It changed a little bit after I arrived. At this point, I do an average of 2 events or trips a week. My favorite so far, the trampoline dodgeball - it was like the ultimate Frisbee.

I first heard about Events & Adventures on the radio. It got me interested because I like to meet new people and to get out often. So far, I’ve attended around 50+ events, including going to the Wisconsin Dells last year. We camped at the Edge O’Dells and did a lot of fun stuff around the camp: trampoline, dodgeball, whirlyball. It was a good time relaxing.

I've been a member of Events & Adventures for 14 months now and I average 5 activities a month or once a week. Whitewater rafting and air gliding are on top of my list of favorites, and I always do the dinners out when I can. I've met a lot of new friends and was able to have some close friends. It's been a really good experience because it gets me out doing stuff. In the summertime, I'm kind of slow and don't do as much as I should. Joining the club was the best thing I ever did.

before. I was a bit nervous with my first event but when I got there, I'm really young and there's a lot of people that weren't really young. So I was like, I don't know about this. But I just had to push myself to go to all the events and it became normal after that. I've attended many events, about 10 a month, and I like skydiving the most. It is my favorite and it's my new hobby now. There's also the whirlyball, the games nights which are good and the hiking trails that we go on. Events and Adventures helps me go outside my comfort zone, doing things that I didn't think of doing before, and meeting new people.

A friend was part of Events & Adventures out in Dallas. I was interested in getting out around town and being social and joined. I've been a member of the club for about 3 months now and I attend 2-3 events a week. I do sand volleyball each week, meeting at St. Arnold's Brew, country western dancing... All the hosts and things have been very friendly and accommodating. It's been a very fun time doing things to meet new people and be social.

What interested me in joining Events & Adventures is getting out there, meeting new people, trying new stuff, going to places I've never been and just kinda seeing what it was. I was very nervous arriving at the first event. But after introducing myself to a few people, the nervousness is gone. I've gone to volleyball every Wednesday. Gone to cowboy's a few times. Been to the river camping and tubing trip, did a kayak event. I've met tons of new friends.

I was nervous and excited before going to my first event. But it changed since they’re very welcoming. I go on an average of one to two events a week. I have a lot of favorites. We did an indoor skydiving which I thought was a lot of fun because I’d never jump out of a plane. People told me it’s simulated very well so I thought that was fun. We did scuba diving but it was in like a big indoor pool. You had all the exact scuba gear, you’d go scuba diving in, but there’s no sharks around or jellyfish attacking you... you’re very safe.

I just moved out to Arizona from the East Coast. and didn't know a lot of people and stuff out here so I thought Events & Adventures would be a good idea or a good way to get to meet people. I've been to a whole bunch of event, maybe 3 or 4 a week. I usually go to volleyball. I've gone bowling a few times. I've been to museums. I've gone up to Flagstaff and done an adventure course and a couple of pool parties. I've done all sorts of different events. I've made a bunch of friends that I keep in touch with. If there's no event going on that particular night, we'd go out and do our own thing. It's definitely well worth it.

I don't think I'm getting my money's worth from Events & Adventures. I don't have the capacity to attend enough events for it to be worth the amount of money I have to pay every month.

I have been a member of Events & Adventures for almost four years now. My main goal when I first joined was to find a partner in a stress-free way, without having to spend hours on the Internet or in uncomfortable date situations. Although I still have not found that right person, many of my friends in the group have. Six of my E&A friends have gotten engaged or married to people they met through the club just this past year; and I've continued to enjoy the club for many other, initially unanticipated reasons.

I got interested about Events & Adventures because of the variety of activities. I was a little nervous when I first joined an event. Wasn't sure what to expect. But I've already attended probably six or seven events and my favorite was the game night.

I first heard about Events & Adventures from my brother in California. What got me interested is the chance to meet new people and the activities involved. I have now probably attended 30 or 40 events such as concerts and new member meetings. It’s been a pretty great experience - just the overall way it's handled and the way they had activities scheduled out and the ease of participating.

My experience with Events & Adventures has been fine. I've been a member since the D.C. one opened. I find the staff very nice and events are good. There are definitely a lot more women than men and so I don't see it as a dating club or really even a singles club for that matter, but I think the activities are good and well managed. I work downtown and one of the things that attracted me to the club was the opportunity to see more and do more things around Washington. But lately a lot of the events have been in the suburbs so I can't really get to them usually if they're too far out from D.C. That's the only thing I am not happy with. But they explained that a lot of their members are in the suburbs, but what it means is that you tend to not get to all the events so that sort of limits it.

I got excited when I learned about Events and Adventures because I thought that it's going to be pretty cool to try. Not until I arrived. There were so many people older than me. They were nice, but I was expecting a younger crowd. But I did like the macaroni thing we had downtown.

What caught my attention was being able to do different activities and I don't have to do any reservations or anything. I just sign up and just go to any events that I have time to and like. I'd probably go to maybe 3 or 4 events every month. So far the one that I like was the hand glinding. That was exciting. I met a lot of nice people. I like the whole club itself. It's nice. I like it because I get to socialize and I don't speak good English so it has helped me a lot by being able to socialize in a different language and also get better at it.

I signed up as a lifetime member, primarily to do trips, meet people and do fun activities outside my small city and circle of friends. It was great! I didn't have to try and convince my friends to try a new activity. I just met new people who enjoyed doing lots of different activities. I have met some amazing people that I will truly cherish for a long time to come. Sometimes in life it's not about things, but about people you meet and adventures you have along the way. While in E&A (4 years) I also met the man of my dreams. My membership is ending because I am getting married. You may or may not find that perfect someone, but you will have a lot of fun, and meet great people.

I signed up to Events & Adventures probably a month ago. I've been to just a few events and I've really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward going to the camp this summer. I haven't been too involved lately but from what I've experienced so far, there's been a lot of great, friendly people and they're very inviting. It's a great group to get to know some new people and I'm looking forward to new adventures with them.

My daughter recommended Events and Adventures to me. The focus on the events and providing an opportunity for people to get together in a variety of different situations to meet people, is what attracted me most. I enjoyed the beach volleyball evening, and the barbeque that we just had last weekend from Memorial Day was good as well. I have made some friends. I would say acquaintances. Nobody that I have made any kind of connection with outside of the group, but I think there certainly is potential there. I have recommended it to other people.

I joined Events & Adventures for the activities, not the dating. I've been to about 20 and I like the hikes. I went to the cherry blossom cruise and the tour of the National Gallery. I really like the 40s mix-and-mingles because I know I'm going to be with people my age. I've met new friends and it has definitely helped me be a little bit more self-confident because now I feel I can really go in and sort of work the room and talk to other people. I'm not necessarily as shy as I was previously. The only problem is that it's expensive.

Events and Adventures has been pretty good. I haven't been on any trips with them but whenever I've gone on any local things, I've had a good time. I just renewed my membership with them a month ago.

I joined Events & Adventures because it's easier than going up to someone in a bar and I was interested in getting out and dating again. I'm a bit shy and was a little bit nervous at my first event but it seemed pretty laid back. Since then, I've gone to some 20 or so events and I like doing outdoorsy type stuff. I've made new friends and also a significant other. Aside from the cost, I'm happy with it. It's a good thing.

I met one of the members of Events and Adventures who told me about the group. He said it was a great group and he talked very highly about it. So he gave me the information and one week later, I went and contact the office and made a phone call and I become since then a member. I did swimming with the manatees, I did trips last year. I've been kayaking, snorkeling, boating, dancing. In all kinds of festivals and concerts, I've been with the group. I have great friends and I'm dating someone from the group, too. It's been the best experience I've ever had in my life.

I was moving to a new area right out of college and didn't know anybody. From what my friend had said, you'd get time in the area once you join Events and Adventures so it would be a good way to meet people. Unfortunately due to my busy schedule, I've only been able to attend one activity and I signed up for a couple more. It was a hiking event and I've made more acquaintances than anything else. I've only been in it for about two weeks, but it's a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

I got interested to join Events & Adventures to meet new people. I just felt a little nervous during the first event. I haven’t gone to many events because I've been busy. I have been paying monthly and really not taking events like I should be. I wish I had more time because they do give out a lot of information. They do supply you with different pieces to go to and things for you to do. I’m a single mom so it’s kind of hard. I've been to four events. I went to a meet-and-greet. I've done zip-lining. I’d recommend them. No issues with them at all.

I've only been to one Events & Adventures activity. I went on a hike. We were on a state park, and there were certain regulations about what you can and cannot do. One of the members, who I believe was a first-time participant, found a snake that was sunning itself, picked it up and started handling it, with the guide staring at it. The snake bit this guy twice and drew blood. It was just a black snake, not a poisonous one. It wasn't bothering anybody. He did put it back in the woods without harming it but the guide never spoke. The guy was handling it for almost five minutes; it was not a 30-second event. The same exact person started cutting a wild plant called a ramp. It's an edible plant. There were signs posted about not picking up any of the vegetation, and he was harvesting ramps, which are edible.

I joined Events & Adventures because I wanted to meet new people and do different activities. I was nervous going to my first event but they were nice. It was pretty cool and I've been to at least 40 events since. There are the trapeze and the airplane flying and a sailboat. One time, we went to an opera. I've made new friends but I haven't found a significant other though. I like going out on a Friday night or Saturday night, just having dinner. It has been a good time trying different things.

It’s been an okay experience from what I participated in with Events and Adventures.

I joined Events and Adventures because I wanted to learn the area, see it and meet new people. I learned about it through my brother. I was petrified before I arrived at my first event but later on changed when I got there. I've been in it for over a year and a half - but not too many, at least between 4 and 12 a month. I did trapeze lessons, casino cruise ships, safaris, and next week it’s bingo. I had dated somebody but it didn't work out, but I met a lot of new friends. The director, Susan is awesome. She is very welcoming, and she really listens to your opinions. If you have suggestions, she'll be able to do it. My experience with Events and Adventures has just been fantastic. I just wish it was a little cheaper.

I got interested in all the Events & Adventures activities. The first couple of months I was doing two or three a week events but I haven’t taken any trips through them. I’ve gone to a couple of baseball games, football, a lot of the dinners and mixers. We did some zip lining and a couple of evening cruise or sunset cruises. I’ve met friends and it has been a very positive experience. I’m in the over-50 age group, and some of the dances that have been planned for us at some of the local lounges are more for the younger age groups. They don’t take into consideration our age group, and the music is not appropriate for us. We don’t like rap and techno music and that’s the only real complaint I have.

What interested me mostly about Event's and Adventures was the opportunity of getting out more with other people and the activities. So far I have attended 20 events but I haven't done any trips. I have participated in activities such as rock climbing, hockey game and there have been different various dinners as well. No negative experience in any way and have found friends through them, but I think memberships are a little pricey.

I got interested in Events & Adventures because of the fact that it wasn't kind of a dating club. It was just a single thing where there’s no pressure. You can just go and be yourself without worrying about dressing to impress and what everybody else thinks. I started with an ice breaker party and now I’m getting ready to go to a party this weekend which will be my sixth event. So far I've joined ice breaker parties, Shenandoah hike, beer fest and more. I've met a lot of different people. It’s a good group experience and emotional experience.

What interested me the most in Events & Adventures is having someone else plan my outdoor activities. I was nervous at my first event which is usual in any new social situation where you don’t know anybody. I have only been on one event. It’s just a new members’ get-together. There are some people I clicked with, but not enough to actually go out and do things outside of the group. For the most part, E&A was fun. It was easy to find them, which I like, because I've gone to a few other groups where it’s not as easy to find them.

I find Events and Adventures helpful because they have a calendar with lots of events so it's really convenient for anyone who wants to sign up for an event. After I signed up, I went to an ice breaker party. It was nice but if there's anything I would recommend, it would be for the organizer to set up the atmosphere a little more so that people could be introduced to other people especially for those who went there on their own.

When I was on my business trip in California, one of the affiliates told me about Events & Adventures. It appealed to me because I wanted to be able to go and meet new people and other single people. So, it’s just the type of service that I was looking for at that time. So far I've attended 2 events: a geocaching hike and a trip to a planetarium. I was excited about the whole process and anticipating a bit more introductions with people and a little bit more of a community feeling. I didn't quite get the impression that they were a little bit guarded, because we didn't have any sort of icebreakers or anything to make it more sociable. I would think that will be a good improvement to help break these barriers down, so that people would talk a little bit more and have a little bit more social community around things. I haven’t quite made any friends yet because I’m still pretty new at it, so I’m going to go to a few more events before I make any real conclusions about the group or the organization. I think it’s a good way to get outside of your comfort zone and meet new people.

What got me interested in Events and Adventures is finding out different things I wouldn't normally do. I was nervous at first, but it changed since everybody was nice and pretty calm. I had attended no less than 50 events, and prefer the more outdoorsy ones like the hike and the social meetings like the ball type thing. I've made a few friends and it's been really fun. Met a pretty significant amount of people. E&A was shocking at first but it's kind of addicting.

I've been a member of Events & Adventures now for about going on six years. A friend at work called me up and said “I just heard this thing. You need to call.” So, I went online and found out that a friend referred me. I got interested because of the idea that it was activities-based, and not trying to match people up.

My friend heard a radio advertisement of Events and Adventures. It was like "Hey, it sounds like a really fun group. Mikey, you want to go and check it out?" and I was like "Alright, I'll check it out." So I went to the website, punched in my info and all of a sudden, ta-da! I got a phone call and I was like "Oh wow they're calling me." It's not just like signing up for something online. It's actually humans on the other end of it.

Biggest rip off ever!! These people are dishonest and will do anything to keep your money. They told me I could cancel, but were not honest with me about cancellation policies. Thus, I was roped into losing my money even after I discovered how lame the club was. It costs over a thousand dollars a year. However, just about all the activities cost additional money, and this is on top of monthly dues. Not one of the activities is that remarkable, as most consist of going out to dinner or playing board games/cards, etc. (wow!!!!). They'll tell you it's primarily young singles that comprise the group, but it's really mostly made up of divorced middle aged people. Just a big rip off and waste of time in general!!!

I heard about Events & Adventures from my single cousin who lives in Dallas, Texas. It truly is a group of people going out as friends and enjoying activities together. At first I'm a little nervous. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, and I’m trying to think what my first event was. I’m sure it had to do with eating. Everybody was just so nice and so friendly. I was with them in Ireland for eight days and I’m getting ready to go to Russia with them. I haven't been to Russia yet. The Ireland trip was unbelievable. It was spectacular. They have to go along to beat that one.

I believe that Events and Adventures was misrepresented. They made it sound like networking with people that were similar to what I was looking for. I was excited on the first meeting hopeful to meet some new people but nothing was as it was stated with the type of people. Some were friendly, some were acting desperate and clingy. I did 3 or 4 events in April. I'm just kind of giving up on it now. It's not worth my time but I'm going to try one tomorrow. A few of the group activities I've participated in were the 20 and 30's party, an ice breaker, hiking which was my favorite so far. But overall, it was interesting but it's a waste of money. I cannot recommend it.

I don't like going anywhere by myself, but with Events and Adventure I can go out and have somebody to get out of the house. I'm scared when we arrived at the event and It took me about five events before I was comfortable with it. I did go to Ocean City but that was still in Maryland so it's not really a good trip. I didn't go on an actual trips with E&A but I've gone to a lot of events. I did the ice breakers, the 20's and 30's events. I like the rock climbing and the spelunking in the cave, the caving events and I went skydiving. There's some ziplining events that I've gone to. They have a lot of good hikes there too and I love it.

Events and Adventures is how I met my girlfriend. We now live together. It's done everything I've asked it to do which was basically try to meet people or give a forum to meet people. I have no problem paying the dues and paying the event's cost. A lot of people complain about 'em but those are expected.

I got interested with Events and Adventures because they do a lot of stuff. I believe I’m the longest lasting member of the club. I was a little scared during the first event because I didn't know a lot of people there. But after I got there, I definitely found a lot of people that I like and I have a lot of friends now in the course of meeting through Events & Adventures.

Most of my friends were married or something so I don't have many people to hang out with so I joined. I was nervous on my first event, but they were friendly. I attend about four events per month. I'm doing the Warrior Dash on Saturday. I mostly participate in sport events like hiking, watch movies. I made a few friends. It's fun.

I joined Events & Adventures to meet new people. My first event was probably 4 years ago. I was a little bit nervous then. Since then, I've been to 40 or so events and I like anything groups-related such as volleyball, dinners and karaoke. I like golf and I wish they had more of it. I've met some friends and acquaintances, but not as much as I'd like to that I would be interested in dating or just hanging out.

I've made some new friends that I'll only see in E&A. Definitely no one there that I'll ever have a relationship with. It's like we know they're very misleading with the type of people and all the information. I'm also very disappointed with the fact that everything is in Virginia or mostly everything is in Virginia. We thought it was going to be DC based like it says their office is in DC but it's really in Virginia and just everything so far. So it's like spending a lot of money on gas and on time and everything to try to make up for the money that I had to pay for this and I would never recommend E&A to a friend in the future.

I've attended four of their events so far and none of them was my favorite. I've made a small group of friends, about four of us but it's been a pretty disappointing experience. I think everybody that I've talked to for the most part in my age group that I've associated with there has been disappointed with it. They were all sold a bill of goods that they haven't really produced. We were all told different things regarding pricing that weren't available. Packages that weren't available. I know that I've been deceived on a couple of occasions.

I've been in it Events and Adventures for about 3 years now so I've been in quite a few of their events. At the beginning, I usually did 2 events a week, if not 3. I've been to volleyball, dodgeball, skydiving, mingles at various restaurants, bowling, mini golf, party. It's definitely been worth it as a transplant to be able to come in and meet a whole bunch of people, many of which are still my friends today. I was a transplant to the cities and I really wanted to get out and meet new people and do new things. I was excited to be out and about and doing some things with other people. So that's always good.

I was brand new to the area and didn't really know anybody at all. So I figured Event and Adventures would be a way to meet a group to go out and do things. I was in the military before so I was used to walking in a new crowd so it wasn't too bad going to my first event. I was more curious maybe and it was fun the first time. On average I go to about two events a month. My favorite is the camping trips, like the weekend trips locally. I always liked the outdoors and that worked out for me. I've been to some house parties and a couple of country dancing nights. I like the way it does kind of scream for people. It has accomplished everything I was looking for. My biggest complaint is that it's a little bit overpriced for the specific service especially because you have to pay for some of the events on top of the membership.

I was new to the area and looking for a way to try and meet new people and have fun, because I didn't really know anyone. I heard about Events & Adventures on the radio. I was excited and nervous before arriving to my first event but everyone was really nice and laid back and they made me feel welcome. I've been with them for almost 3 months now. I've been to a few of the volleyball stuff, kickball and karaokes. I really like the game nights on Saturdays, after the New Member Meeting dance and stuff. I've made a lot of friends and they made me a host just last month. It's the best thing I did after moving to a new city.

Events & Adventures seemed appealing to singles and they talked about offering a variety of activities that you could do and meet people with similar interests. I had heard of them through a radio advertisement on KFOG out of San Francisco. I was a little bit apprehensive to commitment of money upfront. But I'm fairly outgoing so I was pretty excited about going to my first event. There was a sense that it was the beginning of a new adventure. It's been a year and I average going to at least 1 or 2 things every week. I like the sightseeing walks. You could basically walk and talk with people such as walk around Lake Merritt in Oakland. And then I'm taking a painting class which would be my second one. I found it very rewarding. I also like the after work mingles and there's generally one a week because you have a chance to meet and talk with other people. It's a great venue to meet new people, make new friends and connect with other people.

What got me into Events and Adventures is I like the idea of having somewhere to be with people who had similar interest. I was extremely nervous during my first event. It was the big New Year's party. It was a bit overwhelming but it was fun. I went to about 10 events and my favorite one is the archery event. I am planning to join volleyball at Green Lake. One of the group activities I participated in was at Games Works where basically you go to any arcade type of area and you play for free all night which was pretty cool. I did a few of the boat cruises and that's fun but I don't drink. A lot of the other people drink and it's kind of amusing to watch them. Overall, E&A is fun, exhilarating and worthwhile but it's pretty pricey.

I've participated in several group activities hosted by Events and Adventures. We did what was supposed to be sumo wrestling but it was jousting and board games, and I went to the wildlife world park and did the zip lining. It was fun. I did the Aloha festival, went to a concert at the park. It was great. I have several planned for this month. I have absolutely made new friends and have recommended Events and Adventures to others.

It was the variety of activities that interested me the most. I felt better after the first event with E&A but I was still unsure about what in the world I was doing. Now I've been to some 40 events. One was the Labor Day camp out and that stuck in my mind because it was an opportunity to see people multiple days in a row and interact with people at breakfast and somebody else at lunch and throughout the day. Another one is the one where I decided that this was going to be okay and that was at a volleyball event. These were the types of people I want to hang out with where we can get together and play some volleyball and go out afterwards and have a drink or a hamburger. It's what I want my life to be. I've met tons of friends, male and female. Events and Adventures changed my life.

I'm recently divorced and my friend who's married said she heard about Events and Adventures and that I have to check it out. It's the best thing I ever have done for many years. I've been to 20 or 30 events. The whale watching was one I did recently, and it's one of those things I've always wanted to do and never did. I'm so glad I signed up for it. It was a great event. A lot of people were there. We got to see the whales and we hung out afterwards. Every event I go to has been very nice. There was a mystery dinner event where 5 or 6 of us played a role like in a play. That was a lot of fun. I was the corrupt mayor of Chicago for about an hour. We all dressed our parts and we had a great time. I've made tons of friends, men and women, and have gone out with females outside of E&A.

What interested me the most in the Events and Adventures club is the different activities that they offer all the time that I don't have to look for. There's always stuff going on and I'm always up for new challenges. I've participated in various activities including volleyball, whirlyball, soccer, rock climbing and dinners. I'm also a host so I host a lot of the events as well.

I'm having a blast with Events and Adventures! I had been hearing them advertising on the radio for a while and since I was recently single, I decided to see what was going on with it. I joined about a month ago. I just went to my twelfth or thirteenth one last night. It's a lot of fun. I have nothing but good things to say about them. It's probably one of the best decisions I've made in my life. The first event I went to was the New Member Icebreaker. From there, we had games night which was right afterwards. And I started meeting a bunch of really cool people. I've made a lot of new friends. I'd recommend this to anybody. I already have people that said that when they get the money, they're going to join.

I heard my boss speaking with another co-worker, and he mentioned Events and Adventures. I ended up checking it out instead of that co-worker. I like meeting new people. I'm a very social person so I was interested in getting out and meeting new people and the potential to meet a guy. My very first event was actually a private karaoke event. It took me two months to go to my very first event because I was so nervous and I couldn't make it to any of the ice breakers that month. And then I was just, "Oh, I'll just do it." I ended up going and it was lots of fun and where I met a girl that has been like my best friend ever since. I met so many other friends as well. I haven't found a significant other yet. I've made tons of friends so I've made lots of significant people anyhow. In fact, we just do things on our own as well outside of the club and with those who are no longer members. We're friends outside of the club. It was good.

The first time I had ever heard about Events and Adventures was through my friends. They were the ones that heard it on the radio stations and they thought that it would be something good for me to try. I didn't like how it wasn't diverse. It was actually one population. When I was being interviewed by the employee there, they were very clear about the age groups. It was presented to be my age range which is late twenties or early thirties and I felt it was more like late forties or fifties. Most of the events that I went to were older. But I've been to trampoline dodge ball and a sleepover. That was pretty cool and fun. I've signed up for trampoline dodge ball a few times after the first one. I've met a pretty cool friend.

I had heard about Events and Adventures on the 99.5 radio. I was interested in meeting more singles in the area and the fun activities they had. I'm adventurous and an adrenaline junkie, very outgoing, very upbeat and love to meet new people. I had just gotten out of a relationship and I knew if I didn't do something like this, I would just dive everything into work and I'd work all the time.

I just had the very unpleasant experience of being 'interviewed' for membership in this quasi social single organization. I have been single for 7 months and am 68 years old. I have an active social life, but a friend suggested I look into this group. I was brutally subjected to a fast talking, rude and arrogant witch, who frantically and fanatically tried to strong arm me into a membership beginning at $2250 for one year and upwards of $3500 for three years. I am not that desperate or stupid to pay some organization a fee to arrange a party of other fools, who then pay an additional fee for the event. This is a con straight away. Avoid them at all costs.

Events & Adventures sounded like there were a lot of fun things to do and I didn't know many people to do those kinds of things with, so I figured it would be good that I get it. Once you sign up, they encourage you to sign up for an event. That time I signed up for some movie, so showed up at the movie and I was a little nervous, because meeting new people can always be a little nerve-wracking... Turns out they had men there that were acting like five-year-olds that were nothing like the ones you'd see on the commercial. It was a bait and switch thing, in my eyes, so that was a little disappointing. However, since joining E&A, I've been on about ten trips, including skiing, and met some really wonderful people while attending events and some of the events were things that I never would have done otherwise without the club.

Joining Events and Adventures was a good experience. I've met really nice and good people. Everybody was really friendly. I've made a lot of new friends and I had fun going to the events. I'm probably averaging almost four or five events per week. I've participated in a lot of group events, from volleyball to dodgeball, golf, dancing lessons, card night, baseball night to karaoke night. It's really fun and exciting.

I've gone to several Events and Adventures activities such as the mystery dinner to pottery painting, volleyball and a couple of those evening drinks where you meet at a fancy place and have drinks and meet and mingle. I've made new friends and a significant other. I've already recommended it to friends.

FALSE ADVERTISING AT ITS FINEST! DON'T JOIN! I joined Events and Adventures and am really sorry I did. The demographics of the group are in the 40s and 50s and being 32 it's not what I'm looking for. After one event I was over it. It was not for me and thought these people will give me my money back since I'm not a satisfied customer. I was wrong. I spoke to Robert ** in their Seattle office and told him of my years of social anxiety and he said if I got doctor's notes it would help me get my money back. After going through medical records and getting notes they told me that since it's a preexisting condition they couldn't help me out. I didn't realize that preexisting conditions mattered to these people. It doesn't matter to insurance companies but somehow it does to them. Obama will need to write a clause or amendment stating E&A is included in eliminating preexisting conditions in their paperwork. Join MeetUps or other programs, folks. This is not the place to meet people.

One of my girlfriends told me about Events and Adventures because a friend of hers had joined and talked about the different things that they did. The first event I chose was an overnight at the Oakland Zoo. I didn't know anybody and I drove by myself. That in and of itself was pretty adventurous of me. I was a little nervous about it. I'm over fifty and there were a couple of women in my age group that were already there. I'm still friends with them to this day. It was great. They were very welcoming and I had a nice time. I've been with the group for over three years and I've done a lot of events. I don't do too many events during the week not like the younger ones do so most of my events are weekend stuff, unless the event is relatively close. I also don't do a lot of the drinking events - it's just like pub calls and things like that.

I joined last August Events and Adventures. I just have been divorced for a little while so I decided to go ahead and check them out. I went down for an interview and they told me about the options and I decided which duration. From then on, I could see the calendar and I could just choose what events I wanted and then sign up for them online. I haven't gone on any trips yet but I do several events a month probably about 1 a week, on average. I have enjoyed in general most of the events that I've gone to. Sometimes the music isn't to my taste or it was a little different than I anticipated but in general, mostly I've enjoyed the events I've been to. I think they offer a wide variety of choices, and that's nice.

I had heard about Events & Adventures on US 99 radio station. I wanted to have a social calendar. And I liked that it wasn't a dating process as I told Christine when she was interviewing me. I didn't want to feel like a cow put in a corral to see if we're going to mate or not. Going to my first event was like a Disney story. I didn't plan it. I wasn't looking for it. I just didn't want to do the same old thing on New Year's Eve and my plans got ruined by weather so I decided to go to their event.

Events and Adventures has been great except that I got double charged for my premium or bills this month. I had just moved here from out of state and I didn't really know anybody other than my niece. So I thought it would be a good way to meet some people and make new friends. I was a little anxious going to my first event but once I got there, it was awesome. Everyone was really nice. I've been to a lot of events, probably 15 a month at least. Some of the funnest was the indoor rock climbing. The dance events and volleyball have been fun too. We do that once a week. I like going to sporting events a lot. I've made and have a lot of friends now. I enjoy it.

I've had good experience so far with Events and Adventures and I'm glad I joined. One of my co-workers was a former member and he had mentioned that he met his wife there. So I thought I'd check it out. It was an opportunity for single people to get out, meet other single people, make friends, have a good time and try new things. I've been a member for about a month and a half and attended about six or so events. I've been to a couple of movie sneak previews, on a St. Patrick's Day boat party, a game works night and a bike ride. I made a couple of good new friends. I enrolled for three years so I'm just taking it slow and letting it happen around me.

A friend of mine told me about Events and Adventures. Upon joining the club, I was interested mostly about the variety of events, having things to do, and since then have attended several events. The last one was a game night and it was fun. We had board games, a joust, and it was a nice social event. I'm making friends and I've only been a member for about three weeks!

I’m interested in dating but I'm not happy with doing it online. I heard about Events and Adventures on the radio. I felt skeptical going to the event. I was a little concerned about the group. I didn't know what it would be like and if I would like it. But now I've actually done a lot of events like glass blowing, Whirlyball, and apple picking. I've been to some like the game nights and the locked in the room with a zombie - that was a lot of fun.

What interested me most in Events and Adventures is just being able to meet people outside of my own industry. I work in the real estate industry and I do a lot networking but you're always kinda at work even though you're not at work. When arriving at my first event, I was nervous since it's not what I normally do. But by the end of it I was feeling a little bit better. I had already started meeting a couple of people.

I recently moved back to the bay area and wanted to meet people that had the same interests as I do so I signed up at Events and Adventures. Before arriving at my first event, I was nervous and a little scared. It was something new and different so it was fear of the unknown. Once I met the host for the event and some of the other members and we got to socialize, I had a good time. It was a pub crawl in downtown Campbell and a lot of fun. I thought was a good first event since it was at bars although I don't drink a lot. I had a cocktail at the beginning of the evening. It was a good ice-breaker to meet people and talk to them, since it was a more relaxed, social setting. I've also been to some of the dinners and a couple of the pub crawls. I also went to the New Year's Eve party which was a blast and I've made friends.

I wanted to be able to go out and try new things so I signed up with Events and Adventures. Once I got signed in, I went to the website and looked at the calendar and got an event to go along for the week and it was easy and was not hard to sign up. I've been to seven events. One of them was a gathering. They had a sumo wrestling and jousting and pretty much playing board games and there were about 25 people mainly getting to know each other, talking. After that we decided to go to a restaurant and go eat as a group and it was fun and I've made new friends.

I was a little nervous going to my first Events and Adventures activity. At the end of it, I felt a little more comfortable. The more events I go to, the more comfortable I feel. I've been to some forty events and have made some friends. I went on a booze cruise for St. Patty's day and it was fun.

What drawn me to Events and Adventures is the interest of going out and doing different things with the club. When signing up I had three phone calls from two different people and they made me come into their office for an interview. They explained everything they did, drops the price and see if you're interested. I was like, "sure why not?" But the most unfortunate part is that you're locked in to your contract after one event. You don't even get a trial for one event to see how it is.

I had heard about Events and Adventures through radio ads. I was anxious going to my first event but I was ready to meet new people. Since then, I've been to about three or four events and have made friends.

I learned about Events and Adventures on the internet. What interested me the most was getting out and going on an adventure. I felt nervous before arriving at the event. It soon changed in a happy way. It was good. I did dancing, so it was fun. I've been in a lot of trips. I've made lots of friends, ones that I can hang out forever. They're really good people, and I really enjoy it. I found my experience with Events and Adventures eventful and enlightening. It’s fun to meet different people from different backgrounds and share your experiences.

I heard about Events & Adventures in the Houston Press newspaper. I was interested in the adventures, going from different countries like Vietnam, Africa, Canadian, Germany and France. Also their events are very good. I've recently been to the volleyball event at Crossbars in Houston. I also went on the bike ride as well as the dynamo soccer game on the first of March. It's a very good club to belong to. I've met a few new friends. It's pretty well straightforward and I'd recommend it to somebody that is trying to build their social life a little bit.

I am single and I did a google search for a singles group online and Events and Adventures came up. I'm always wary when something comes up that I don't know about in whatever way because there are so many scams going on. They ask for your phone number or name and somebody called me from the Seattle office where their headquarters are. They set up an interview for me to go into the San Francisco location, and that was January of 2010. I've been a member ever since then. I was nervous going to my first event because I still didn't know what I was getting into and I was wondering if it was going to be worth it. My impression of most singles group is they're a bunch of old people so it was a real relief when I went to my first event to see people around my age with some younger and others older.

Overall, Events & Adventures has great events. I had heard of them on the radio. I enjoyed the zip lining, dancing and Bollywood activities. I’ve already told people about Events & Adventures and that it had really fun events.

I joined Events & Adventures in November. I had heard about it on the radio back in February, but I wasn't old enough to join then. I was a couch potato. I would go to school or work and come home, and that was basically it! So I wanted to get my lazy butt off the couch and try some new things and meet some new people. It has been really great for that. When I was in my interview and I got signed up, my sales rep helped me sign up for my first event right there and showed me how to and walked me through it, and it was really easy. I went to an event three days after I signed up. I'm generally shy in big groups so I was a little nervous about meeting new people and coming out of my shell a little bit. Everybody there made it really, really easy and it was a lot of fun. Everybody was very welcoming.

I'm new here in Minnesota, so I practically know nobody. It was a great choice for me to go over to Events and Adventures and meet some new people. Going to my first event, I felt nervous as normally anybody else would. But once I got there, I got to see all the warmth of everybody and they were very welcoming. Ever since I've been to 10 or more activities. Most of my activities have been hiking, the comedy stuff and ice skating. The activities are very fun and easy to go to and the people are great. I've met a bunch of people and should be able to call a few a friend.

I just moved here a while ago and I signed up with Events & Adventures to meet new people and find more friends. I went online and looked at the calendar and pushed the sign up. I was excited going to the first event. Eventually, it became easier to go to the events and I've been to more than 30. We had a dinner dance on New Year’s Eve that was fun. There was a Halloween party and we went into some haunted houses. I've made new friends. Events and Adventure is fun and a good time.

What got me interested in Events & Adventures was the idea that I could do some activities and just meet people. Mainly, it was activities that I couldn't do on my own or I didn't want to do on my own. On my first event I was trying to see what's going on with E&A. I try to do four events a month or else it's not worth the cost of the membership.

Events and Adventures has been good. I'm actually a host. I've been there for about a year and it’s been fun. I first heard about it on an ad on the radio. The thing that got me interested is just the convenience not having to plan things. It’s pretty easy. You go online so it’s fairly straightforward. The first event I attended I felt a little nervous. I was like, “Oh, okay. I’m doing something cool.” Everybody was very nice. I've attended around 25 trips and the one where we did the trapeze class is my favorite. We also did a rope obstacle course which was really fun and after hours at the Science Museum here in San Francisco. I've made some good friends. The experience has been good and it was worth it. It’s just a nice way to get out and do different things without having to do the logistics.

I've been having lots of fun with Events & Adventures. They do stuff every single day. I felt a little bit nervous upon arriving at my very first event but excited at the same time. One of the activities I did was going to a hike that was super fun, exciting and great. Another group activity was when I went to visit my parents down in Phoenix, I went to an Events & Adventures that was a piano bar. It was really fun. I've made new friends. In fact, I have an upcoming trip planned where I signed up for Vegas. It's a really cool and easy way to meet other people.

I have been to a couple of events that I did have a good time at but the fact that they can't seem to get their accounting together is the worst. I was charged twice to go at a hang gliding event that the person in charge of left the group at. I ended up calling for a week before someone finally called to the main office to get it corrected. Then it took two weeks to get a refund. When I signed up, I signed a contract to have them deduct the funds from my account every month but today I get a call from another company saying they didn't get their money and they'd been hired to get the money from me. First, how is it possible that you didn't deduct money from me but now are sending bill collectors after me? Second, now I need to give my info to a third party to take money from me after I already signed a contract. I don't think so. Stay away from this company. It can't get its money handling right.

What I like about Events and Adventures is that you get the opportunity to try new things that you wouldn't normally get to try on your own. Signing up was easy and can be done on their website. I have attended lots of events and been on many trips. We went snowshoeing this past winter and all these things that you always wanted to do but never had anyone to do it with. The New Year's party was good. Our favorite is the games night which happens once a month. It's just plain board games played in a pub. It's like where most people go to. It's been a good experience for me and I've made new friends. Events and Adventures made it about getting out and doing things as opposed to making it primarily about dating.

I first heard about Events and Adventures on the radio and got interested in joining because of the events they organize. I've been in it for a year and go to 3-4 events a week at least. It's really great. We did a hike on Sunday and I'm really outgoing so I like to hike and then last night we played ultimate frisbee and I made 5 interceptions on the Frisbee field. It's fun! I do a lot of sports so I've found a place where I actually fit in.

Events & Adventures has been beneficial for me in terms of building life-long friendships.

I needed another social outlet as most of my friends have been getting married and with kids so I joined Events and Adventures. In the beginning, I picked a smaller event, like a food event. I know my comfort zone so I figured that would be a good way to warm up. I've been to many events but right now I'm really busy at school - I'm a teacher. And it depends on the month. Some months have better things than other things.

I've had more than 30 to 50 events or trips with Events and Adventures. I like all of the activities and they all have different flavors to them. First, the Halloween Party, there was a hoedown for Valentine’s Day and they were great. The hoedown was unusual and fun crowd. And it was a good activity with kind of a variety of elements to it. I've dated within the group and had one that was actually starting to get pretty serious. Nothing is perfect but I've just been very happy overall. It was exactly what I needed at the right time.

I heard about Events and Adventures through a radio commercial while I was driving my car. I've heard that commercial several times so eventually I was like, "Well, why not give it a shot?" Before arriving to my first event I really hoped this was worth it. I was a little nervous because I didn't know what to expect and I want to make sure to give a good impression. After I got there they helped me feel at ease and got to know each other right after that.

I was looking for an activities club and I stumbled upon Events & Adventures. I went on their website and signed up for an event. I picked one of the first events that I was interested in and it was a pretty easy process to sign up. I was curious to see how it would go and there was a little bit of nervousness because I didn't know anybody. But I've been a member since May 2008 and I have been hosting events for them since April 09.

I was interested to join Events and Adventures to make new friends with single people. I was really nervous signing up because I didn't know what to expect because obviously, I don't know anybody. When I got there, I'm not used to seeing a lot of people so I got kind of overwhelmed when there was like 30 people that showed up. But it changed very quickly once people started talking to me and I started talking to them, then I felt very comfortable. I got in like 10 minutes and we were like all talking to each other and making new friends already. One of my favorite events is the paintball at night where we actually rented out a paintball area. We went to a bunch of different arenas. We're playing paintball for like three hours or so and we keep changing teams and shooting each other with paint and talking.

What I liked most about Events & Adventures is the interaction with other individuals in the same situation as I am. I was excited with my first event. My very first event was a movie, so there wasn't a lot of interaction. We had an after event. We went to the bar, had a drink, sat and chatted. Usually, a much smaller crowd than going to a movie. But my second event was miniature golf, and that was a lot of fun because there was a lot of interaction. With E&A I gained both new friends and found a significant other. E&A is like the land of misfit toys but everybody who's there wants to be there. But overall, it's fun to meet and get to do a lot of different things that you don't normally get to do.

I've heard about Events and Adventures on the radio several times. And then an actual acquaintance of mine did it and that’s how she met her husband. I went online, I filled out some form and then somebody from somewhere else called me and I talked to them a couple of times. Then I went into the office here in Phoenix, I signed up for an event, and I had an interview. I have attended about 20 to 30 events and my favorites are the mixers that they do with other singles groups. I’m going to go on the Vegas trip in June. I'm looking forward to that.

I was soooo nervous when I went to join this group but after joining this was the best thing I could ever have done. I've meet soooo many good friends that I can see regularly and on top of that I had no idea that there was sooo much cool stuff to do in the DFW area. I would always recommend this group to my friends outside of the group.

Events and Adventures is fantastic. It’s definitely worth my money and I’d definitely do it over again. I heard about it on the radio and I was interested in the activities and meeting new people not in the dating setting. I went online, picked what I liked and got signed up. I was super nervous at first. I was afraid I was going to walk in and not be able to find them and just be wandering around but I've had nothing but great experiences with the group. I've been to some 200 events. I regularly go to volleyball on Wednesdays and absolutely love it - I never got the opportunity to play in high school. I actually joined a couple of leagues with some friends I had made in the club because we enjoyed volleyball so much. I've met a bunch of the best girlfriends I've ever had and I’m actually living with my boyfriend who I met in the club. We've been together for about a year-and-a-month, going on two. I like the endless unique activities we get to do like dog sledding to skydiving to just movie nights. You can’t find that kind of variety in other places. I try and bring coworkers all the time and any new friends that I meet outside of the club.

I must say I am dissatisfied with the experience during my appointment. They made it such a big deal about my nickname not matching my driver license. They advised to me that it raised red flags because I had a nickname, then when she escorted me out, she slammed the door behind me and locked it. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism on behalf of their staff. I feel that I have done nothing wrong. I came in with good intentions, I wasn't untruthful about my name that's not the case. I strongly advise against joining this biased singles club, they make you pay anyways. I recommend trying Meetup.com where I heard it's more better reviews.

I've now been an active member with this club for 1 year and it has been a truly great experience. Prior to joining, I had been recently divorced after a long marriage, so I was struggling to make new friends and have opportunities to date. Events & Adventures has provided me with venues to meet friends, attend activities I never would have tried alone, and get to know people in comfortable settings with no pressure. This is the absolute best way be single! I would recommend this club to anyone. Even my married friends are jealous of how much fun I'm having!

I've been involved with events and adventures for three years now. In that time, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people who I can now call friends. Many of which I may not have met. This organization brings such a variety of people together to experience life together. I've been able to do so many things I otherwise would not have done. Many of the events bring me back to my childhood and reintroduce me to things I had forgotten as an adult. From my very first event to now, I can honestly say I have had the time of my life. I have extended my membership and can't wait to see what the future brings me. If it is anything like the past 3 years, it will be amazing.

I like the Events & Adventures. There's always something going on and that's why I stick around. It's been a great ride so far.

I first heard of Events & Adventures through the local radio station and I've been to about 30 events. The events have all been really good for me. It has been nice to get out, to enjoy events with other people, enjoy some common interests, and I look forward to more in the coming months and when it starts to get warmer out in the summertime. Everybody has been really friendly and really welcoming.

I would recommend Events & Adventures. It has been awesome but they could organize things better.

Events & Adventures has provided me the outlet and opportunity that is exactly what I was looking for. I’m single divorced so it got me out of the house and doing interesting things with interesting, like-minded people. I pretty much knew what I was getting into as I had done a fair amount of research on the Internet. I've been a member for about 16 months now and I do 10 to 20 events a month.

There are so many events that you would really like to attend that there is not enough time to enjoy them all. From activities like hiking and snowboarding to hanging out over a board game, there are so many things to do. People are working professionals that also like to party. I have tried dating sites, lunch/dinner setups, and more. It is awesome to find a place to be yourself and pressured to be someone that the other person wants you to be. I was one of the biggest introvert that you could find and now excited to see what else will be on the calendar. "Drown your sorrows in some fun with E&A. It will lift you up and bring you confidence."

I joined to meet new people and explore the many places Houston has to offer. I have accomplished this and much more. I would recommend Events & Adventures to any single person over 21!

I was a little nervous when I signed up for my first Events and Adventures trip but it was fine. Since I didn't know anybody, I didn't know who I was looking for. But the host answered her phone and found me and it was fine and I've been to some 6 to 10 events. Everything I've been to, people have been nice and easy to talk to. The host always does a good job with what I call the name game where they walk you around and introduce you to everybody, and they almost remember everybody’s names spot on, which I find to be very impressive in a group of 20 or 30 people. I've been to a variety of different things; anywhere from like volunteering to the bar scene and there are different people at different stuff, but then there were a group of a dozen or two that you see more frequently. It's been awesome actually, a fun way to get out and enjoy yourself while meeting new people.

I was looking at volunteer stuff and just different ways to do stuff or meet people. In one of those random search engines, I found Events & Adventures online. The thing that got me interested was just meeting people because my best friend was moving, and I didn't really know anybody in Chicago. The process when I signed up for the first event is you go in and get interviewed. Before arriving at that first event I was very nervous, but that changed soon after. April’s wonderful and the first couple of people I met there were just really friendly and easy to talk to. After that I’ve been to tons, about five a month for a year.

Events & Adventures seemed appealing because I'm from out of town. I moved around a lot. I don't have a family. I'm at an age where a lot of people who are older, they're either married or in relationships and it's hard to hang out with people your age. They told it was a group of adults; young, single adults were not all young and we do different things in the Bay Area. That was appealing to me because I haven't seen the Bay Area. I haven't had time. I don't really want to do those things on my own, I like to do it with people.

When I moved to Seattle in 2005, I figured that I'd be able to make friends the way I always had: by starting school or a training program with a bunch of other people. Instant friends, right? Except this time, I moved here by myself. All my friends and family were at least 3,000 miles away, and all of my coworkers were married with small kids. My boss mentioned some activities club she had heard about on the radio, and with a little help from the interwebs, I found Events and Adventures. I sent in an email, got a call back, and scheduled my interview.

I've been a member of E&A for over 4 years. I liked it so much, I volunteered as a member-host for over 2 years of that membership. I've talked to lots of members, both satisfied and dissatisfied. Here are some of my experiences:

As a member of Events and Adventures I am very pleased that I made the decision to join. My goal in joining the group was to widen my social circle and just have fun with a group experiencing a wide variety of activities, which is exactly what I found. I've made friends there who will always be part of my life. Many of the activities I've participated in are ones I would have probably never tried on my own, such as white water rafting, kayaking, hiking, etc. A great time was had attending all of the activities - I can't think of one bad experience - and what makes it great are the people you meet. For me personally it was a life changer and to anyone who wishes to get out of the house and out of the daily grind of home to work to home again, making friends and having great experiences along the way, I would heartily recommend giving it a try. I've never regretted joining, and in fact think it was one of my best decisions.

I've enjoyed my experience with Events & Adventures. It has given me opportunities to do some activities I've never heard of and go on trips I wouldn’t have otherwise known about.

I have the pleasure of knowing some amazing people who I can call friends now, thanks to E&A. Every month we have new members continuing to come in, which is awesome, and the diversity of the calendar from month to month is a plus. I am privileged to say I am part of such an awesome club. Keep up the good work!

Every day with E&A offers a chance to meet new people and make new friends. The camping and tubing weekend trips are a blast and the international trips are an amazing experience. I have been to Australia/New Zealand & hiked Machu Picchu last year with single people from across the country because of E&A. I feel at home with this group and all the members so far have been fun and adventurous.

I heard a lot of radio advertisements about Events & Adventures before I actually contacted them. I just called their number directly and made an appointment to go in and meet with somebody in the office. They wouldn't talk about the price over the phone. So you had to wait till you go into the office to determine what the membership fee is and how that works; whether it’s a monthly fee or a one-time fee. They won’t discuss that at all. And once I got in there, they let you know what the options were and that there were different lengths of time you could sign up for and so forth.
