How does Conversational work?

You can sign up online and choose the monthly plan that best suits your needs. The company then emails you an online form to better understand what services you want for your business. When your form is completed, Conversational sets up your account to your specifications. You’ll get an email with your assigned telephone number (if you’d rather, you can forward a current business line to Conversational).

Live receptionists help your business with its customer service needs, ideally encouraging company growth. Conversational provides monthly usage reports and lets you change or cancel plans at any time. The company also offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee and a 30-day money-back promise.

Conversational plans and pricing

Conversational offers three base plans; however, customers can customize a plan to suit any volume. All packages offer:

For each package, excess time costs $2.10 per minute. Conversational does promise flexibility if you exceed your minutes, however — you can even retroactively upgrade your plan.

You can boost any of the main packages with Premier Services for $79 per month. This includes detailed call handling, scheduling and calendar management, advanced web forms, detailed product and service information inquiries, basic CRM completion and more.

Subscribers can cancel their service at any time prior to the monthly renewal date by informing Conversational. Depending on the cancellation request, services will either terminate immediately or continue to the end of the prepaid period. Conversational doesn’t provide refunds for early cancellation.

    Our salon has used Conversational for a few years and with our staff having different services and different schedules you could not be in better hands for them to navigate each one.... Efficient and has expertise in communication and serving our guests with utmost respect and service. I love how when I call any department it feels like speaking with family.       I like Conversational. We use their service for the calls and the messaging where they take messages and email them to you if you don't answer the phone. Working with them has helped my business quite a bit because the service is efficient and not very expensive. It saves on overhead. Their team has been pretty pleasant 99 to 100% of the time and I haven't had any issues. A couple of times, the call would drop but it's been very infrequent. A few of those times could have been on my end and a few times was on the transfer of the call.

      Things started out great with Conversational and the price was good. They were pretty much our full-time answering service, then they would transfer the calls to the office. They started out with a Spanish-language receptionist, then towards the end, they didn't have any and the receptionist would just hang up on my clients that didn't speak English. There was no discussion with us about how to deal with it and I just found out through my own clients that they were hanging up on them. When I complained about it, I was told that that they told me that they wouldn't always have a Spanish-speaking receptionist.

      I emailed with them back and forth to try to resolve this issue because I didn't want to go through the hassle of trying to find something else. I asked if we could go through the calls and see because it was happening so consistently, and they said no. I cancelled with them and asked if I could have a refund for the rest of my billing period, and they refused.

      Other than that, they switched over from where they were emailing us the messages on a regular basis, then there was some portal that we had to log into. It was like it was from 1980 and it was a nightmare. It was so hard to read and it wouldn't show the complete message. Also, you log in then you have to request a new IP address every time you wanted to access it from a different location. And most people work remotely or are on travel. So, pretty much, in the evening, my staff had to call to see whatever the clients really asked for because the new system that Conversational implemented at the time didn't work well.

      Conversational was great and they have better quality people than our previous call center. I wanted it to sound like a clinic and I think they really nailed it. They did a good job with that. Also, with a lot of other answering services, they tell you what their process is and you have to make it work but with Conversational, you can tell them what to do specific to your business. The best part with them was that they knew our EHR healthcare system and we actually gave them an account. They were like a virtual receptionist because there are people logged into the account and were able to cancel and schedule appointments in the account. I don't know another answering service that does that. But they didn't have a 24-hour option. I would have stayed with them if but we're in healthcare and we have to have a 24-hour answering service.
