**. I bought the 2017 Titan from Infiniti of Macon on 16 June 2020. On 01 July 2020 I had a hard time starting it and immediately took it to headquarter Nissan. They told me they had to change the fuel filters because they were Filthy. I thought maybe I had purchased bad fuel so I paid the $250 plus bill, and thought it was fixed. On July 3, just 2 days later, I was in Fort Walton with my family. I had recently purchased a Camper trailer. After parking my trailer, I realized it wouldn't start. I waited till Monday, due to the 4th of July weekend (nothing open) and I had it towed to Lee Nissan in Fort Walton Beach.

They told me someone had put DEF fluid in the fuel tank and it would cost $20K to fix it. I was floored. I owned the vehicle for 3 weeks, it never needed DEF fluid according to the gauges so I hadn't had to put any in. There are 2 filler caps in the fuel door, One says DEF. It would take a special kind of neglect to make that mistake. Lee Nissan told me not to worry about it, it was warranty fraud on Butler Nissan because they had changed numerous fuel system parts JUST prior to me buying it. They also left DEF residue on the top of the fuel tank and some had dripped down the side when they changed the fuel sending unit.

The ONLY way it could have gotten there was when their records showed Butler Nissan changed it. Then they came back 2 hours later saying Nissan would not fix it because it was all SPECULATION! I would have to pay the $20,000 bill. I contacted Infiniti of Macon and spoke directly to the GM, and he said he would get back to me. I never heard from him until over 2 weeks later and Still, almost a month later, nothing has been resolved. Records show that Butler Nissan and Infiniti of Macon intentionally sold me a defective vehicle.

I bought it AS IS from infinity of Macon but it has a factory 5 year/100,000 mile factory warranty. Guess what's not covered. I'm a disabled Combat Veteran, Living off my benefits and they took advantage of me and want over 1/3 of my yearly income to fix something they knew was wrong to begin with. If they didn't know, it's clearly negligence on their Mechanic's fault. But isn't it convenient that Butler Nissan didn't sell it as a certified pre-owned? They are sister companies. They did this intentionally and with malice. I have the proof yet they still refuse to make it right.

I purchased this truck so that we could pull a larger camper. My previous truck was a 2003 Frontier, 2.4L 5 speed. Had no issues at all from the time it was new, until the trade in. I have to say, my 2017 Titan is a workhorse! It has the trailer towing package, and several other options. My ONLY complaint is the poor fuel economy, but, that is something that I can live with. I do have one complaint. When the AC is on, the fan clutch on the engine is very loud... Sounds like a jet taking off. Dealer says it is by design. Anyway, I highly recommend this truck!

I bought my truck in the spring of 2017. It’s a 2017 Nissan titan SV 4door 4 x 4. My biggest issue was the transmission went out at 35,000 miles. Took it in and they did a computer upgrade but it didn’t help so I took it back and they determined it was a bad transmission and they replaced it free of charge. Now I am having trouble with the temperature regulator for the heat in the cab. One side gets warm the other side does not. Same with the AC. I have on several trucks and other vehicles and feel this truck is definitely sub par. I don’t have a lot of complaints about the power from the motor or anything else yet but I’ve only had For less than two years. Last Nissan for me.

Before I start, Id like to say I've been a loyal Nissan customer since 1986. Have bought NOTHING but Nissan and Infiniti vehicles so in 2016, I sold my 2004 Nissan Titan with 200K miles on it. Never had any major problems, but was excited to see the new Titan diesel out and I had to have it! Well that was a big mistake. Shortly after the 10k miles mark, the turbo went bad. 3 weeks later I got it back. Year later I got stranded in Albany ny. Got it to a dealer with 5 miles to go before it was gonna reduce power to 5 miles an hour. 2 weeks later I had to go back to Albany < 2 hours away to get the truck. Now at 51000k miles, I and the family are in Florida for Christmas break. Had a great time till it was time to go back home NY. We leave for our 1200 mile drive home and seconds before we get on the Florida Turnpike, a red warning display comes on the dash saying low fuel pressure and the truck will not go over 5 MPH.

I turn it around and get back to our home there. I call and get it towed to Universal Nissan in Kissimmee. They call me the next day and say that the lift pump went bad and that it won't be covered on the 100k miles warranty because they see no record of the fuel filters being replaced. Keep in mind, i'm a mechanic and do all my own work. They not only want one receipt. They want 5 to prove they were replaced. I had just done the engine oil and filter, and the two fuel filters 2500 miles before we went away. So I went to my auto parts store and they printed up the list of purchases for the truck and I sent it to them.

Now that wasn't enough for them. They also want the label off the filter boxes. Keep in mind that we are now home and had to get a rental that they said they would pay for if it was covered under the warranty. So Nissan themselves called and said since I was such a loyal customer that they would pay 90% of the repair which was $2000 for the repair. So Id have to pay $200, and now the rental car gas, tools to get home and now I have to drive back to Florida, another 1200 miles, more tools, more gas just to get my truck back. Needless to say I will never buy another Nissan! Im gonna get my truck, go over to Toyota or a Dodge dealer and trade it in. I would have expected this kind of problem with a much cheaper truck. Not a truck that was $61k dollars. So that 100k mile warranty was BS and they would try and find any reason to not take responsibility for this. I hate to say it but beware of this truck and UNIVERSAL NISSAN!

Very good truck in many ways. Durability, handling, comfort, safety. Bottom line is, it feels like you are driving a luxury car to be quite honest. Very durable, very durable. I just can't stop mentioning that. I thought Nissan fell off for a few years there but I am impressed indeed. Once again I am a Nissan fan.

Poor performance diesel and lacks towing capability. Paint is subpar but interior is well finished. The technology is late 90s and difficult to operate. Trade in value is very low. The Titan lacks the dependability of most full size pickups.

I took my 2017 Titan XD into Nissan to have it checked for engine light coming on. Diagnosis is that the cam sensors were bad and had sludge on them. They claimed it was not covered under the warranty due to lack of maintenance. I maintain my own vehicles therefore do not have records. I took my issue up with consumer affairs, and after 26 phone calls and 4 voice mails, I finally got a return phone call. According to Allie with Nissan, on a recorded line, that if you do not service your vehicle with Nissan, they will not cover any warranty issues. I’m pretty sure that’s not legal, but either way, I would not recommend Nissan for anything.

Nav system repeater between the speedometer and tachometer is a great safety feature, quick glance to detect next turn and distance to turn. My 2nd Titan.

I was so excited when we first purchased our 2017 Nissan Titan SV 4x4 4doors, backup sensor and camera. We couldn’t wait a minute longer so we purchase December 2016. But little by little we started to hate it. Problems started popping left and right. All the time we spend on dealer mechanics shop was a big waste of time. Now October 2019, this truck has been to the shop more times than me on vacation. The dash on top and the interior makes so much noise like if it was 15 years old. The tranny sucks compare to the older Nissan Titan, which we own a 2008 for 4 years. This New Titan is Trash all the way around. This is my last time buying Nissan, being a loyal customer for over 17 years, but I done. They keep asking cheap material thanks to their new partner. Take a good advice and buy something different.

I was initially very excited with my purchase of a 2017 Nissan Titan XD. It didn't take long however, for things to start going wrong. Had to have the rear view mirror replaced due to constant sagging, rear windows roll down on their own, multiple sonar sensors out, rear passenger window motor malfunction, had the hood latch pop the hood up while going down the interstate, had the battery go out after one year, faulty radiator cap, chipping and fading paint, third brake light cracked.... this truck was in the shop more than any used car I have ever owned. This was my first new vehicle and I am extremely disappointed. I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders when I got rid of it. After reading several reviews online I do feel that I was one of the lucky ones compared to what some people are experiencing. I was a loyal Nissan customer for a very long time but I will never purchase another Nissan.

I purchased the 2016 Titan XD with the Cummins diesel in January 2016 and during the first 6 months it spent 45 days in the shop, plus multiple other visits over the years. DO NOT BUY THIS TRUCK! Within the first tank of fuel I got a check engine light on my dash. They said it was loose clamps on the intercooler. The next day the light came on so they called engineers which ended up swapping a valve within the turbo. Then the light came on a third time and they retuned the software to get rid of that light. Afterwards I continued to get a red error light stating the power was reduced. It took another reflash to fix that.

I have had issues with driver's seat lumber squeaking, radio rebooting randomly, plastic trim around passenger rear window flapping in the wind, subwoofer rattle, diesel exhaust coming into the cabin, tailgate lock freezing up, 3 different HVAC blower motors replaced due to not moving when you start the truck until you hit the dashboard to get it started. Most recently at 113k I had to replace the blower motor AGAIN because even hitting the dash wouldn't work anymore and the mixing actuator near the driver's side which is a common problem...

I just removed it because it would blow out 109 deg air while blowing 40 deg air on passenger side. I've had both passenger side door locks replaced because they just stop working. Both of the driver's side door locks have been replaced once, and the rear driver's side has stopped working again about 6 months ago. The front parking sensors fail every time it rains. I come to a stop at a light and the sensors start screaming. I continue to have alignment issues. Nissan engineers tweaked the specs on the alignment a few months after purchase and it drove better but I go thru tires in 30k miles or less which is unacceptable. I've had multiple other tire shops attempt to align the truck and they cannot. It still pulls hard to the right and wears thru tires costing me a lot of money.

The transmission is very clunky and harsh. There is a tremendous amount of lag when you hit the accelerator. So much that I've almost gotten T boned when pulling onto a road because there's no power. Nissan engineers tried to tell me this is normal of diesel trucks and it absolutely is NOT! To add insult to injury, the value on this truck has tanked so quickly that I'm $20k upside down so I don't have a chance to get out of it. This is the largest mistake of my life and I've always loved Nissan. I've had 2 previous Titans, 2 370Z's, and we still have a 2004 Pathfinder that runs great. Unfortunately, I think this will be my last Nissan because the ownership of this Titan XD has been the most frustrating thing of my life. DO NOT BUY A NISSAN TRUCK!!!

Today (7/10/19) my 2017 Nissan Titan XD caught fire and burned completely up. Smoke was billowing from bottom first and then heard the boom of the explosion. The entire cab quickly engulfed in flames. We are grateful that all those in the truck weren’t harmed. The attending officer said “it could’ve been worse”. But what we found unusual was the attending firefighters repeatedly stated (4x) that we were lucky considering this kind of truck it was and told us to never get another truck like this again. I’m concerned that even the firefighters were so adamant against this type of truck. Does anyone know of some kind of recall or legal action on the 2017 Titan XD trucks?

Bought a '17 SV King Cab with 4k miles. Had a noise driver front wheel. At 9k swaybar bushings were replaced. At 14k catastrophic failure. Axle broke off at the hub. Nissan claims it was not a factory defect. Not covered under warranty. Dealership Blue Ridge Nissan of Wytheville Virginia, sold me on a "forever warranty" on the date of purchase. Truck was to be covered for the entire time I owned it. They also denied the warranty claim.

Nissan Consumer Affairs was absolutely a joke. Sent Nissan a final attempt to repair notice. They had an arbitrary agent call me. He told me Nissan was sticking to their denial. Now I'm in the process claiming lemon law. 14k miles and my truck sits in my driveway. I pass it every morning in my 2004 Ford F-150 with 100k or my 94 Ford ranger with 105k. Of all 3 of my trucks the newest and most expensive is by far the biggest pos I own.

I belong to several Titan enthusiast groups on Facebook. The amount of people getting new engines at 8 to 20k miles is astonishing. Nissan has several class action suits pending, stemming from their absolute disregard to the warranties they sell. Their new Maximas are blowing windshields left and right and they're actually denying warranty claims.

I've been an avid Nissan fan since 2003. I've probably sold more of their vehicles than any 3 top salesman by pushing their products. This is not the same Nissan these days. They recently closed an entire shift producing the titan because sales are in the crapper. I wonder why? Loyal buyers buy from loyal manufacturers. When you start stepping on the little guy to fill your bottom line you've already missed your target. Save yourself a lot of headache and buy American. If you insist on an import Toyota is your best bet anyway.

I bought a 2017 Nissan Titan last April. It had 25000 miles on it. I had it back to the dealer 5 times in less than a year for several issues. First the AC didn't work. Then a few weeks later my engine light came on and when I brought it to dealer they said they had to replace my exhaust manifold. A month or so later my engine light came on again and again I brought it to the dealer. This time they told me my transmission was shot and they had to replace it. 3 weeks ago I smelled transmission fluid burning. I brought it back and the gaskets for the transmission lines had to be replaced. Now it’s back at the dealer for a bad oxygen sensor. What’s next? I contacted Nissan Corp. and they opened a case file on my vehicle but I really doubt they will do anything.

I bought my 2005 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab 4WD New in January 2005. It now has 151,000 miles on the clock... These are the things that tanked over the years... Rear axle seized at 52,000 miles. This was %100 covered under warranty, including towing. No problems since. Btw... I have the locking rear differential, and I think I broke it trying to pull a Ford out of a bog in reverse. Paint job turned to crap at 8 years/82,000 miles... Repainted for $4000. Both front hub assemblies had to be replaced at 140,000 miles. This is normal I'm told. Easy job, use Timken hub assemblies.

Windshield replaced... Normal crap. Both headlights replaced... Yellowing that kits couldn't fix. Cosmetic repairs to dash and GPS display due to age. One ABS sensor went bad at 130,000 miles. This was a $490 dealer fix. OK, that's it for owning a PU truck that can, and has towed #9000 back and forth across the SE USA for 14 years. We are taking both motorcycles and the dog on a 4000 mile round trip this April to Sedona AZ, and Farmington NM, from Calabash NC...with confidence in the Titan!

Within the following year 2017 to today’s date it has been in and out of the service department with my complaint of a lag in the start. Every time I have taken it in, service has not been able to determine what the issue is and states that it passes all specs. Many times the truck will sound as though it is not going to start. I contacted Nissan USA and they told me that was fixed on my truck in 2006 and I told her that obviously it wasn't because it did the same exact thing.

I was told to take it to the dealership to get an estimate and after shelling out $160 the guy blamed the problem on everything but their part. He also blamed it on the installation of the aftermarket trailer connector from U-Haul, he said there were no relays installed. When I looked at the relays the ones that he claimed weren't there actually were so basically he lied and just shifted the blame off Nissan! Then he hands me an estimate for $2500.00 to fix a recall! Bought a 2017 Titan SL 2WD the last day of 2016 from a dealer that is approx 230 mile from where I live. From the time I hit the highway I noticed a vibration above 65 MPH. Took the truck to a local dealer the following week and was told that I have to go back to the dealer I bought it from in the first 90 days or I would have to pay them to check out the truck. I left and returned about 90 days later to the same dealer. They looked at the truck and determined that tires need to be balanced. The issue was still there so at my next oil change about a few months later, I brought it up again and they road force balanced the truck but the issue was still there.

According to them, they cannot duplicate the problem. I went to a different dealer and they again balanced and rotated tires which did nothing. Went to another dealer and went through the balance routine again. After going back to the second dealer, they told me to call Nissan Consumer Affairs and open a case with them. They were very helpful and courteous. I made an appointment to see a Master Tech at my local dealership. We test drove the truck along with a mechanic from the dealer and they both acknowledge the vibration.

Master Tech decided to swap out and adjust the driveshaft and told me the truck has been fixed. As soon as I got on the highway, I felt the vibration again. Met with the Master Tech again who drove with me again and again acknowledged the vibration. He said there was nothing more he could do and he would submit his report to Consumer Affairs. When I heard from Consumer Affairs they said the Tech's report said the truck was operation as designed. I am currently pursuing my state's lemon law and trying to get a full refund buyback. Save yourself the hassle and buy something else. They obviously don't stand behind their product and when they can't or won't try to fix it, they will tell you that it is operating as designed and it's normal.

I’ll warn you now. Stay away from Nissan Titan trucks. Especially their XD Cummins. Absolutely worst decision of my life that has costed me somewhere between $85,000-$100,000... and I've only got 12,238 miles on it. I bought the 2017 NISSAN TITAN XD PRO4X IN MAY OF 2018. Brand new with just 8 miles on the odometer which later on the day I bought it I had noticed over 75 small dents and scratches. Scratches were not small. They were on the hood, roof, tailgate, every side panel on the truck had at least 3-4 scratches or dents. Differential case was dented and scratched, wheels were dented, tailgate didn’t open and shut properly. And still to this day on October 2018 Nissan or the dealership still is saying that all the warranty work will be done but they're waiting for parts... NISSAN YOU GUYS ARE INCOMPETENT PILES OF GARBAGE AND SO IS ALL YOUR EMPLOYEES THAT I'VE COME IN TO CONTACT WITH.

The first week I bought the truck I was almost killed because this truck decided it wanted to flip a check engine light on, on the freeway giving me no more than 3-4 seconds before it completely shut down engine and everything, stopping me in the middle lane on I-15 in Utah just before rush hour. Nissan and the dealerships solution “bring it in and we will take care of it” so I did.

And 7 weeks later they called and said “your truck is done.” Went and got my truck and they had said that everything looked fine so they did a software update and everything is good... 7 WEEKS TO DO A FIVE MINUTE ** SOFTWARE UPDATE. Oh which the night I got it out it did the same thing and to this day I’ve had this truck 6 months and it’s been to the dealership in the shop a total of 136 days. Not one thing has been worked on, still have scratches and dents, still have a ** $75,000 truck that I was told is a 3/4 ton by the sales team but found out my daughter on roller blades has a higher towing capacity.

Nissan better take care of this because I’ve gotten into contact with a media investigator in Salt Lake City “Get Gephardt" and a team of lawyers. And they are going to do everything they can to sue the dealership and Nissan for all the safety issues and Gephardt is working on a story that will be live on the local news stations with my story and how it’s completely ruined my life since purchase date. So everyone in Utah and surrounding states can hear all about these “trucks”, from the customers POV. STAY AWAY FROM NISSAN. DO NOT BUY!!! DO NOT BUY!!!

Nissan North America has opened a case, but it’s not speeding things up so far. I've had terrible fluttering on acceleration since the vehicle had 1,000 miles. I've taken it in 3 times, but they can't fix it. Finally 12 days ago it just broke down on the side of the road. I limped it into the local dealership, and now I have a crappy rental car. I haven't heard anything in 5 days. But the dealership warned me they couldn't find parts and to expect the truck to sit at the dealership for a month. I'm a landlord and I need my truck. It stickered for more than $46,000.

Now I’m discovering that they knew about these type of transmission problems even before they sold me the truck. When I would take it in they would act like they didn't know what I was talking about. The truck jerked and lurched when accelerating from a stop. They said it was just me. I'm a little offended at being lied to and tricked into buying a truck they knew had pretty big problems. I'm under warranty, but I won't be forever. And right now I don't have a truck at all. So I'm feeling cheated out of the use and enjoyment of an admittedly beautiful truck that I presumed was quality. I don't know how it will play out. But I wish I had my truck back and that it was reliable. I feel like they should have had a recall.

Purchased a 2016 XD SL in 2016, have had nothing but trouble with it. Dealer(s) will not fix things, Nissan the company will not address issues. Was forced to seek legal counsel. Common known issues with this truck are: Loud Engine Noises at high speed. Third brake light cracked. Door handles fail/ freeze. Tailgate lock fails. AC failures, both actuators and controllers failures. Seats do not heat. Squeak in cab. Radio Reboots and radio bizarre screens. Transmission shifts like a bull on **. Front parking sensors fail/ false alarm, 4WD transfer issues, MSL parts fall off, from not being installed or torqued, Paint issues, Windshield break for no reason, Fuel Issues, Nissan blames owners & gas station owners. Keys not working, keyless start. Alignment issues. Before you buy one, I seriously suggest you search online, Facebook and all other media for "Nissan Titan XD Issues". Would never buy another Nissan product.

Just bought a new Nissan Titan XD SV Midnight Edition with Cummins diesel motor. Picked up the truck Thursday night. Went on vacation Friday and water in fuel light came on, Saturday morning fuel gauge stops working. Called salesman at Nissan to advise, said bring in the truck when back from vacation. Kept fuel in it since I couldn't monitor levels.

Fast forward. Took to dealership only to find that they needed more time, so I took home and planned for another day. They gave me a Titan as a loaner. Two days driving wont start low fuel pressure, tow truck came an got. Now the issue with my new Titan, advised from the dealership that there was water in the fuel, and that the fuel pump and sending unit needs replaced, fuel tank dropped and that the water saturated the float in the tank. They want to charge me 1500.00 to fix since Nissan doesn't warrant water in fuel.

Keep in mind that the truck came with a full tank of fuel. I have bought 200K in work vans and this new truck in the last 2 months. You would think that Nissan would keep a commercial customer happy so that they will come back and buy more vehicles when business warrants. But nooo they want to play games. The actual truck has a nice ride and tows my 10,000 pound camper with ease. It has all the buttons, but I am pissed and will be looking at other options when this comes back from the dealer. I read other reviews and I am surprised at what I have read as reviews from other owners of these Titans. Give me my Ram 2500 back, at least I had no issues with that truck. Maybe I will look into trading this new truck with 1000 miles on it and let someone else deal with this Nissan and no more vans from them as well, (even though the vans have had no issues).

Nissan gave 150k warranty on the evap systems (spits gas while pumping) knowing they had a problem. Gave me run around until I was over the 150k miles and couldn't even tell me what to change myself. Called Mt Airy Nissan 3 times. They said never heard about the 150k warranty. Nissan Wilkesboro had me bring in twice saying they would fix. After I left a bad review they call me ask what all happened and he would fix it and never called me back.
