Omega Auto Care provides five plans across three tiers: Powertrain, Powertrain Plus, Powertrain Enhanced, Used Stated and Exclusionary. Each plan covers various components within each category, so checking your specific contract to determine what’s included is important.
- Powertrain covers some parts of your engine, forced induction (turbo/supercharger), transmission, transfer case and drive axle(s).
- Powertrain Plus increases the coverage on each of the named systems in Powertrain and adds coverage for some components of your air conditioning and heating systems.
- Powertrain Enhanced covers everything in the first two plans plus additional parts of each named system. It also extends protection to some parts of the cooling and fuel systems.
- Used Stated expands on the previous levels by adding coverage for some steering, brake and electrical system components.
- Exclusionary, the most comprehensive plan, covers everything in the previous plans, along with additional parts for each system. It also adds coverage for up to two labor hours for emergency repairs. This plan covers almost all components of each system, except those specifically listed as “not covered” within your policy documents.

American Dream Auto Protect vs. Omega Auto Care cost
The cost of an extended auto warranty can vary significantly based on several key factors. Vehicle age and mileage are typically the most influential factors — newer cars with lower mileage generally cost less to cover than older vehicles with high mileage. The make and model of your vehicle also impact pricing, with luxury and high-performance vehicles usually commanding higher premiums due to more expensive repair costs.
Additionally, plans with comprehensive coverage cost more than basic powertrain protection. Plans may also be more expensive depending on where you live.
We gathered quotes for different vehicles with varying mileage to give you an idea of how prices compare between American Dream Auto Protect and Omega Auto Care. The prices below are for each company's lowest-tier plan unless otherwise noted. Keep in mind that coverage for these plans varies, so it’s not an exact apples-to-apples comparison of value.
For American Dream Auto Protect, we got quotes for a Ford F-150 and a Honda CRV with only 120,000 miles, since the company does not cover vehicles that have more than 130,000 miles.
To get a quote from Omega over the phone, you will need to disclose your vehicle’s VIN number to the company to accurately access your vehicle's current status. We used Chaiz, an online extended auto warranty broker, to gather quotes since it offers estimates for Omega plans. All four of the quotes we collected are based on the Powertrain Plus plan, as the basic Powertrain plan is only available for vehicles with 150,001 to 250,000 miles.
