I booked a stay through Priceline that was tied to Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres for Feb 12–17, 2026. Upon arrival at the resort, my reservation could not be found in their system despite the booking being fully paid and confirmed. This led to a major disruption that lasted approximately 8 hours, involving repeated phone calls between myself, Priceline support, and hotel staff while trying to verify basic reservation details. Instead of a seamless check-in, I was effectively left in limbo trying to prove I had an active booking.

During this process, I was also asked by hotel staff to provide personal financial documentation, including a bank statement, which was inappropriate given that payment confirmation already existed through Priceline. Although a partial refund of $131.29 was eventually issued, it did not reflect the extent of the disruption, time loss, or stress caused by the failure in coordination between Priceline and the property.

The core issue was not just a hotel check-in problem, but a breakdown in communication and reliability between Priceline and the resort. Resolution was slow, fragmented, and placed the burden almost entirely on the customer. Based on this experience, I would be cautious using Priceline for important travel bookings where reliable reservation handling and real-time support are critical.

I will never recommend Priceline. I used them to make an appointment in May 2026 for a hotel in Connecticut for June 2026. The representative booked my appointment for three days at one hotel, but also booked an appointment for one day at Best Western. While still on the line, I asked him to remove that booking, he stated he could not and sent me to cancellation. I have been going back and forth with them from that moment until now trying to get that wrong reservation cancelled. They have been giving me a total runaround. They continually say they will send an email and contact me by phone. Neither as of now have happened. I have called basically every day or every 2 to 3 days, with no resolution as of now. I called on Thursday, June 11, 2026 and spoke with a supervisor name Dell (2 time speaking with a Supervisor) but no notes.

The previous time the Sup was name Dell but she said she was not the same, so I got her ID# ** this time, and she was supposed to call me at 10 AM June 15, 2026. Of course I have not received a call. I am currently on hold waiting on a supervisor to come on the line. I have disputed the charge with my credit card but it is a Priceline card (go figure). I am so disappointed and upset with the runaround, the non-help, and the lies that I have received. After talking with the last Supervisor (Dell) I received an email that Best Western said that I had actually stayed there, Well since I did not as I talk with the Current supervisor, I asked him to have them to send over a photo ID of the reservation stay. So many lies and not sure where it is coming from. But it is frustrating that a Billion dollar company can not see the error from their agent and refund me 400 dollars.

To them it is not much but to me it is a lot. I even offered while I still had time to cancel the reservation at Days Inn and add two more rooms at Best Western, but that did not pan out because they wanted me to get two more rooms for 1800 total which would have made the total amount around 2500. I will never recommend anyone to use Priceline and will most likely depending on the outcome of my disupute. If not favorably close out my credit card with them.

Priceline is a scam! I rented a car from them and upgraded to Jeep Rubicon. Upon getting to the rental car dealer, I was told "this jeep cannot leave the state and we cannot rent it to you”! Nowhere on Priceline’s website did it say anything but “unlimited mileage”, I had to rent another vehicle from the rental company that they would allow to cross the border into Georgia. By the way I was returning it to the same place I rented it from. After providing receipts to Priceline they made email the receipt on 4 different email chains and have had everything from I can’t open it, please provide more information, etc. This has been going on for two months! I don’t recommend them or Routes Car Rental out of Orlando FL.

I would NEVER RECOMMEND PRICELINE! They are so untrustworthy and fictitious! Customers service is so poor and the reps are so rude. How can you take a customer’s money and refuse to present a valid receipt! Everything is so shady!

Deceptive - my wife asked if she had reach the hotel and she was told, "Yes." It was not until we arrived at the hotel the we were told that we had booked through Priceline.

DO NOT use Priceline ever! We booked a room for two nights at the Fairfield Marriott in Louisville, KY. We were in town for my daughter’s freshman orientation. We booked a room off Priceline that they marked as fitting 4 people. However 10:30 on Sunday night we pulled out the sofa and it was a twin. I went down to the front desk who all of their staff was wonderful. They once said it isn’t a 4-person room but a 3 person. I called Priceline and after multiple reps lying, stating they were calling front desk in which they weren’t, because I was standing right there on speaker phone. Front desk told them to call back in the boring to speak with their manager to initiate refund for the night.

Saturday morning, the hotel moved us before we left for orientation. Throughout the day, I then made 4 more phone calls where Jun a supervisor, said there was nothing they could do about misrepresenting the room and I had to sleep on the floor since they moved us room the next morning. I then escalated it even more to any executive email I could find. I got a call where she said she was only able to offer $51 of the $101.

My point to them was you misrepresented room, it was their fault not the hotel, they never called the manager until 5 pm after I got the call from someone from their executive dept. where I explained to them all the lies from their CSR and the supervisors. I’m in fact still waiting on an email from Supervisor Jun regarding all my calls into their support, what was promised and that they refused a one-night refund for them misrepresenting their room and having one of us to make a bed on the floor. They are -00% horrible, horrible customer support, horrible customer-facing problem-solving.

Worse company ever. Went online to make a reservation at a hotel. Was not aware I was on a 3rd party site and accidentally made a reservation for the wrong date. I received the confirmation and it realized. Called back immediately. Was told it was nonrefundable and the only way to correct was for them to cancel the reservation and call the hotel for approval to refund the money and then make a new reservation. I said ok. They called the hotel and customer service told me they said no. I called the hotel and that was not true. The hotel confirmed to me they told me to refund me the amount. The manager at the hotel gave me his number and email for me to tell customer service to call him directly to confirm. They still refused my refund.
