Bridgestone Dueler tires came as original equipment on my 2019 Subaru Outback. Tread wear is OK at 22,000 miles but tires are noisy, out-of-round and rough riding. Stay away from these tires. I had one develop a sidewall blister. I’m going to replace soon with Continental or Michelin.

My brand new 2018 Lexus RX350 is equipped with Bridgestone Tires, model TX8A EC1. The car is 2 years old with about 14000 miles and the two rear types are down to zero thread and the two front ones are good for another few months (per tire store inspection). This is the first car I ever owned with tires that do not last the lease terms (3 yr, 36k miles). Talking to Bridgestone, my impression is that they do not stand behind their product, and don't care. You can bet my next lease car (11 months to go) will not have Bridgestone tires.

When you buy a new car DO NOT let them put Bridgestone tires on it. One of the Bridgestone tires on my new Toyota Highlander came completely apart and I told them I wanted 4 Michelin tires put on it. Luckily I was not on a highway and was able to get to the side of the road. At this point the dealership will only replace the one. I am still trying to deal with the dealership, but will probably have to go to Toyota. Cannot trust the other 3 Bridgestone tires, and NEVER will! Wish there was a place to post pictures, you wouldn't believe it. The tires only had 3145 miles on them.

Stay away from Bridgestone. I bought a new 2019 Honda CRV-EX in May 2019 With Bridgestone tires. One of the tires failed to pass mandatory state inspection with only 20,000 miles on the vehicle. The other three tires are showing excess wear. Tires were properly rotated per recommended Honda maintenance. Bridgestone warranty does not provide warranty coverage! I was stunned. $800 for four replacement tires (AWD vehicle). I am trying to get some help from Honda dealer but am not optimistic. Don’t purchase Bridgestone tires. Other reviews suggest they are of consistently poor quality. I will advise Honda (probably to no avail) that they should not install these tires on new vehicles.

Bought these Turanza EL 400-02 for my Lexus ES350. Let me tell you this, if I could return them - I would without hesitation. Not only won't the dealer take them back, Firestone won't either so save yourself the trouble of trying them out. The tires are started losing grip during braking, cornering and acceleration. They make so much noise, I have to turn up the radio to keep from hearing the road noise. Save your money, and your time.

I bought my GMC Denali new. At the onset, I didn't want Bridgestone tires, but the GMC dealer informed me that I could not swap them out for another brand. Around 9000 miles I began having balance issues (shaking). I went to a GMC dealer in Florida and was informed that one of my tires was definitely defective (10,250 miles), but GM would only pay for roughly 1/2 of the cost. I was assuming my problems were over, but they were not. The high speed vibration returned, and I returned to the GMC dealer in FL who again did a road force balance at my expense. At this point I returned home to Michigan with this yet unresolved issue, and went twice to a Chevrolet dealership in Grand Rapids. As a last resort I consulted with Discount Tire who are typically very adept at resolving balance issues, but they also were unable to fix it.
I filed a claim with GM, providing documentation for all my visits. After more than 10 weeks of hassle, and literally hours of phone conversations I was informed that GM refused to help me in any way. I had asked them to pay 1/2 the cost of a new set of tires, since my tires were 35% worn. If an individual such as myself pays almost $80,000 for a vehicle, one would think that some support would be forthcoming, especially since this was my 4th Suburban type vehicle that I purchased from GM over the years. If you are considering buying a GM vehicle, keep in mind that you may face insurmountable issues should you have a warranty issue. In my case, my long term relationship with GM is over. I could easily have parked my vehicle at a GM dealership under the guidelines of the lemon law, but that impacts the dealership, and not the source of the problem, which is GM. I purchased a brand new Dodge Durango in May 2017. It had 50 miles on it and that's because they drove it to my house from the dealership. The truck came with Bridgestone tires. About 2 weeks ago I took the truck to my local Firestone for a oil change and was told I need new tires and soon. I was shocked since I have only had the truck a short time. I called Bridgestone and the warranty rep informed me the tires were made specifically for my truck to save gas. Not so much for treading and that is why they have no warranty. I was shocked because I only have about 24k miles on my truck. He then said that he wanted me to have a positive experience with the company and that if I take my truck back to Firestone, have them measure the tread Bridgestone would offer me at least a discount or just take care of all 4 new tires for my truck. So I did what he asked.
The Firestone employee called Bridgestone while I stood right next to him. They spoke and the the employee said to me (while Bridgestone was still on the phone) Bridgestone could only replace 2 tires because they were 4's and the other 2 tires were 5's. He said I could get 2 now and the other 2 later or wait to get them all done at the same time. I then asked if they take care of two now will Bridgestone still take care of the other 2 later. The employee asked Bridgestone and then told me, "Yes. Either way Bridgestone will take care of replacing all your tires." I asked do I need it in writing? I was told no because it's all on the reference#.
After the Firestone employee hung up with Bridgestone I asked his professional opinion about if I should wait or get two now. He said it's better to wait but either way Bridgestone said they would take care of everything so it's up to me. I decided to wait. I was so happy with the customer service from Bridgestone I raved to my friends how customer service really was great and that I would always be a customer. Then I called Bridgestone back the next week to make sure everything was noted properly on the reference number because I was going to go have my tires rechecked. Having not so great tires worries me. I have 2 small kids. Well to my shock all the information had change. I learned that I would have to pay for labor. In was shocked since that was never disclosed to me before. Then I was told Bridgestone would only prorate my tires! That is totally different than what I had been told the week before.
I have tried talking with the warranty department with no resolve. It's kinda like oh well! I was told the calls would be reviewed but no one has called me back and it's been 48 hours. I'm so devastated that I am being treated this way. I trusted Bridgestone/Firestone and it was all in vain. The company is now lying about facts and offering a discount that is in no way close to what I was offered at 1st! I asked to get the original offer in writing and was told no need! Never trust this company or their word!

2018 EQUINOX, purchased 06/2017. After 30,000 miles of mostly easy highway travel. The manufacture tires were down to the wear bars. These tires are rated as 70,000 mile tires. The dealership cost to us at this point was 479.00 dollars. When contacting several companies (Bridgestone, Discount Tire, dealerships). We were told basically tough luck. Our cost for OEM replacement was 80% of total tire cost. So now we have paid $479 for same tires to wear at same rate. Which will need to be replaced again in 30,000 miles. Warning: To all those who have special ordered or purchased their Jeep with the "Sport Package 24C" option on the 2016, 2017 & 2018 JK Wranglers. We special ordered the 2017 Jeep wrangler unlimited April which came with stylized 16 wheels and these tires. I've always complain about this tires since day one. They are very bouncy and hard to maintain the correct PSI. After about 15K miles the tires sidewalls started flexing really bad (side to side). One morning watched the wife drive off to work and noticed when she hit a dip/bump in the road. The rear tires moved from side to side very pronounced, so much so I was in fear that the tires would blow out or pop off the rims.
I've since contacted Bridgestone and informed them of these issues. In return, Bridgestone spokesperson tells me that our tires are still warranted. They would need to inspect these tires at a local retailer and could end up having them replaced by Bridgestone. I could care less about these tires & don't want this current set replaced with another set of Bridgestone Dueler tires. Because of this we're going to be mounting a new set of tires on our Reproduction Hardrock wheels very soon (like within the next few weeks). I've since contacted Bridgestone about via Twitter and other formats, but they aren't willing to offer support claiming I need to have these tires inspected. I told them that I need to know what Bridgestone is willing to do or offer IF these tires are found in error.
Again Bridgestone spokesperson doesn't answer. We've drive on these tires for almost 2 years and they continue to get worse. Bouncy, over flexing sidewalls and hard to maintain a constant PSI. If you've ordered or purchased these tires for your Jeep, Be prepared to experience the same issues we have had over these last 2 years. Side to side movement, hard to maintain the correct psi, bounciness and all over the road. Best replace these tires with something else and as soon as possible.

The low tire pressure warning kept coming up every few days around 31,000 miles so I checked out the tires and concluded all needed to be replaced, which was confirmed by my regular repair shop. I wasn't expecting that since I've never gotten such bad use out of tires in my 27 years of owning a car. These tires are junk and after only 27000 miles had to be replaced!!!
I had to spend money that I saved up for Christmas to buy my family gifts instead I had to buy new tires and Bridgestone reply was that the original equipment tires have no mileage warranty and they will do nothing!!! Additionally, most tire stores do not have them in stock, so customers have to order the tires. I usually do not take my time to write review. However, in my 30 years of driving. These are by far, the worst tires I have ever owned. When I purchased my Toyota Sienna new, it came with run flat tires which look as though they had little tread on them. They looked very low quality. In no time I ran over a nail and instead of paying $10 to plug it, I ended up having to tow it to the dealer and pay for a new tire. Much to my dismay, I was told I needed all new tires because they were already worn out. Keep in mind, there was less than 20K mileage. I was extremely unhappy paying under $900 for the tires (because one tire was free).
These tires looked better quality but was still not thrilled on the run flat. My passenger tire blew out and just replaced that within another 20k and now my tire light is on and my other tire is worn out. Stick to the regular tires. On 11/10/16, I purchased 4 new Champion Fuel Fighter tires ($421.88) from Firestone store # 18813 in Athens, Oh. In September/October of 2017, I noticed that my 2014 Subaru Impreza was vibrating so bad at 60/70mph that it was nearly immobile. I contacted the dealership from where I had purchased the car, Hatfield Subaru, and made an appointment for 10/30/17.
The dealerships' service team informed me that I was nearly due for new tires and that 2 of the rims were bent. Since the purchase of the tires, my car had only been serviced at the Firestone store in Athens, Ohio. At the time of the tire purchase, I also purchased the tire alignment package ($179.99). Since purchasing the tires, at each service visit to Firestone (3/13/17 and 7/24/17) I requested an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. There should be no reason that my tires are needing replaced if the service technicians were correctly rotating and aligning the tires.
When I called Greg, the manager, to inform him of my plight, he argued that "his store sees 40 cars a day and that they know what they are doing?" Also, I've been in zero accidents and or ran over any curbs etc for the rims to be bent. Lastly, the service technician stripped the wheel stud when replacing the tires (case and point that they don't know what they are doing) and I had to return to the store on 12/14/17 and wait another 90min for them to fix that!
I contacted the Bridgestone claims department on 10/31/17 and my claim was assigned to Camille **. After providing the invoices and estimates for the repairs totaling $656.15, Camille offered to pay half ($328) indicating that was all the upper management would approve. Well, I paid for tires that, with proper maintenance, should last 70,000 miles. I purchased a 2015 Toyota Camry XSE new in September of 2015. The car came equipped with Bridgestone Turanza EL 400 02 tires. Until my 5k mile service I was not displeased with the tires, they were what I would expect from an OEM tire, decent in every aspect but exceptional at nothing. After 5k miles the problems started. I began to experience vibrations and road noise which became so severe that I thought I may have a mechanical problem. When I removed the tires in order to diagnose the problem, the saw tooth pattern of cupping and uneven wear were obvious. At my next scheduled maintenance the dealership ruled out misalignment and ensured me that the tires had been rotated properly at the time of each service. Since car manufacturers conveniently do not warranty OEM tires, I called the Bridgestone Customer Service/Warranty department in accordance with the pamphlet I received when I purchased the vehicle.
They assured me that improper wear was never covered under warranty and that I must have a mechanical problem because no tire defect could cause improper wear. So if you want an average tire that lasts for around 5k miles then this is the tire for you! If it is Bridgestone or nothing, I will have nothing. After my experience with this tire and their condescending customer service, I wouldn’t even hit a Bridgestone golf ball, so purchase at your own peril. If you are purchasing a new vehicle with Bridgestone tires on it, negotiate to have the tires of your choice put on the vehicle, if the dealership refuses, then drive the car to the nearest tire shop and have them replaced. I’m sure you could sell someone with 5k on their car your OEM tires…

They (Honda Service) stated that there was cut or tear on the side of the Bridgestone Tires. They couldn't repair the tire because of the leak or tear was on the side on the tire called a cupping. The mileage is 18,000 miles. Honda refused to fix, replace or make an adjustment of the cost of the tires towards the purchase of a new tire. They also stated that Annie had two additional tires that were also cupping and causing the roaring noise problems.
Hughes Honda refused to provide any information or assistance with the defective tires and Honda requested ANNIE to purchase new Bridgestone tires for $194.25 each plus the additional fees. Annie has several family and friends that drives new Honda cars. It appears that Bridgestone is making dangerous defective tires and Honda continues to purchase Bridgestone tires for all of their Honda Vehicles. Tires are rotated every 3000 miles and according to Honda, the car has never been out of alignment/no suspension problems. Just horrible situation as I now own a vehicle that literally "cups" the tires almost immediately with such loud road noise. It is depressing to drive the car and new tires last only a few months. They work well on both. We test our tires three ways, on a snowy day we stop on hill greater than 12% grade and restart climbing the hill, 2nd we try stopping on icy roads and thirdly starting out at slick intersections. They aren't as good as studded tires but are the next best and most States don't allow studded tires anymore.

I've never used winter tires before. The winters in Utah aren't that bad so I've always used good all season tires such as Continental Extreme DWS and Michelin Premier. However, I decided to drive for Uber and Lyft this winter to earn some extra Christmas money and often found myself driving passengers up to Park City. Park City is about 3000 miles higher in elevation than the Salt Lake valley and as such, as much colder temperatures as well as a lot more snow.
With using new, high tier all season tires, I still found myself sliding and losing traction quite a bit, which is somewhat expected with a all season tire. However, I opted to install some Blizzaks on my car (front wheel drive, Acura TL) and the difference was absolutely amazing. I don't know how they do it. I'm not driving on the road. It's either packed snow on the road, so matted down that it essentially looks like a "white" road, or a combination of "wet" ice that has been melted with salt or brine but re-froze due to extra low temperatures. I'm able to go up steep inclines with roads coated in ice, can corner as if the road was dry, and much to my dismay, I'm not able to "drift" into a turn by pulling the e-brake because the back tires bite the snow and ice so hard that I literally cannot break the rear end of the car free. :)
Over the snowy weekend, the majority of rideshare drivers were off the roads due to nasty winter road conditions but I trucked through it like it was dry ground. I'm definitely converted to these tires and will certainly use them for winter from now on. The downside to these tires is they have an average life of 12,000 - 15,000 miles due to the silica and soft rubber compound. As such, it's wise to only put them on once the bad snow starts, and take them off as soon as the average temperature maintains about 50 degrees. In Utah that's about mid-November to March. Also, they're quite expensive. I paid $114 per tire for size 17".

I have discussed the problem with Le Mieux & Son Toyota in Green Bay, WI. The owner is Tom Le Mieux and is the person I talked with among his service manager and Tom ** the salesman. The wear on the tires is actually even across the tires at 7/32-8/32 on all tires. You will notice that the center tread pattern is almost gone each tire and extending into the next tread pattern on each side of the middle tread. There has been NO over inflation of the tires and the tires have been rotated three times now according to the service manager and my maintenance book.
Per Tom Le Mieux and his staff there is nothing that they will do to rectify the problem of the odd center tread pattern wear. Toyota puts this junk on their vehicles and one should only expect to get 20,000 miles from them. Losing the tread pattern is a SAFETY ISSUE and the tires should be replaced. Anyone ever heard of hydroplaning? I bought a 2007 Camry with the same tires on it and basically had a similar wear issue problem in 2008. BRIDGESTONE POTENZA- RE92A 255/45R18 TIRES - steel belt separated: I'm not very happy with Bridgestone Tires because of my recent experience of their tires & my call to their complaints dept. hotline #. I just experienced an almost fatal accident while driving my well maintained Hyundai Genesis 2.0 Coupe with only 21,000 miles. I just got onto I-4 Highway & was trying to catch up to the traffic speed of 65 mph. I noticed a slight vibration in the front end & steering wheel and all of a sudden I heard a loud thud & it felt like I was riding over huge objects over & over & I started to lose control of my vehicle & thought this was it! Only by the grace of God & my keeping calm that I was able to steer my car to the far right median of the highway & slowly brake & slow down while other huge semi-trailer trucks passed me at speeds of 70- 80 mph.
I was very fortunate to say the least. I got banged up & received some damage to my vehicle & contents in my car as I almost flipped over when I hobbled out of my car expecting to find a complete blowout or something worst. But all the tires appeared to be intact except for the driver's side front tire which appeared to be low of air. So I thought it had to be something went bad in the front end. I called roadside assist & waited an 1 hour for a flatbed tow truck which took me to my nearest dealership where when they put my car on the lift & inspected underneath, the tech found that tire appeared to have failed due to the "steel belt cords" breaking within the tire & causing a "massive bulge in the main tire tread area" which would account for the "felt like driving over huge objects (over & over)."
This was confirmed when the tech started to inflate the tire with air & you could see the area bulge out like a rupture in the tire tread area (not the outer wall of the tire). I've never seen anything like that before! A clear defect in the tire! I've always maintained my car very well & checked tire pressures weekly! I've got 5/32 tread left on my tires & my car is always garaged when not driven. When I explained this all to Bridgestone CSR, I was told that they want me to send my defective tire to their corp office for "their techs to inspect the tire & let me know what they find." The one male rep I spoke to at 1st was not very caring of my bad experience & tried to say it was probably my fault or error in some way that caused my tire to fail. I had to buy 2 new front tires & have other front end damage costs to my car including myself being banged up also. What are all your thoughts on this situation & what action should I take next??

The Bridgestone dealer gave me a reference # ** and sent me to a dealer. The dealer measured the tires at 4-4-0 and stated that the warranty would not cover because the inside edges of all four tires were bald. He stated that, "It looks like an alignment problem to me." During the life of the tires I returned to the Toyota dealer for 5,000 mile service intervals. Each time they checked the alignment and inflation. It was always "within spec" for my 2007 Toyota Prius. I told this to the dealer and the Bridgestone representative. They stated that they are sorry but they cannot honor the warranty. What good is a 65,000 mile warranty for tires that wear out in 32,000 miles if the fact that they wore out voids the warranty?
I purchased these tires because they got high ratings for low rolling resistance and the Bridgestone brochure recommended them for my 07 Prius. While the gas savings were good, the loss of half the life of the tire more than outweighs the gas savings. I believe that Bridgestone has had a wear problem with these tires because after only 3 years they have withdrawn the tires and replaced them with the new Ecopia 422 Plus. It has a 70,000 mile warranty. But the new tire has a tread compound rated at 680 while the old tire has a tread compound rated at 400. Wouldn't it be reasonable to think that the much harder 680 rating would produce much more than only 5,000 mile more warranty?
I think that they withdrew the softer tire because it wore out too quickly and changed to the harder tread compound to get it close to the original warranty. But, they are not supporting the old tire warranty. I presented this logic to the Bridgestone representatives on the phone and in person. They stated that they have not had complaints. I doubt this. That is why I am sending this complaint. This is false advertising.

Since then, we have had them re-balanced twice and alignment done twice. Now the noise is so loud we thought we had a wheel bearing going out. We own a repair shop and have never seen tires do this before.

I had purchased a Hyundai Fluidic Verna in January '14, which came fitted with Bridgestone Tyres. About 3 months back, 2 tyres developed a swelling on the outside wall. I did not pay much attention to it then, but when I went for getting a puncture in the tyre fixed in March '15, the person at the workshop (Tyre Dynamics, NOIDA) told me that a swollen tyre was unsafe to be driven on. He also advised that I could try contacting the company for warranty service as the swelling did not seem to be due to usage.
Following the advice, I contacted the Bridgestone POC for Western UP - **. After many follow-ups, he finally fixed a date (10th March '15) to inspect the tyres. After a brief inspection of both the tyres - which both happened to be the rear tyres, he declared that this could not be covered under warranty as one tyre had a cut on the inside and the other had a bump. He stated that because he tyre had been driven on very low air pressure and had hit some very hard object the side-wall had given way and that caused the swelling.
Taking what he stated to be true, I returned. Later on when I was at the same workshop for having my car washed, I happened to speak to the same guy at the workshop regarding this. He smiled and told me that these were all "tactics" used by companies. He also showed me that where the cut and bump was, which were both on the base of the tire and not on the side-wall, were far from where the tyres were swollen.
Feeling cheated, I wrote to the Bridgestone customer service on 27th March '15, to which I have not yet received any reply! But post this email, the same person - ** called me after 3 days to check about it. At first he denied that he had checked my car stating that he could not remember. I tried to help him recall that he had inspected my car at Reham tyres in Indirapuram, but to this he even stated that Resham tyres was not their authorized dealer and asked for some time to check his records. I called him the next day and surprisingly he recalled all details about the inspection and told me that he would send me the report in a day's time.
It has been about a month now since the tyres were inspected and I still don't have the report! When I check with **, he tells me all kind of stories stating that he had submitted to the head office long back, maybe there was some problem with my email server, etc! Considering all of the above, I am requesting any help that I can be provided to resolve this issue. Thank you.

If you plan to buy a new Cadillac, and it has Bridgestone tires on it PLEASE refuse to take the car unless they replace the tires. I let my son and his mother use my Cadillac to go to Florida. When they arrived my son washed the car, and discovered the right front tire had a serious problem, so he called me and I found the closest Cadillac dealer was in Deland, Florida. He didn't drive the car until Monday morning when he took it to the dealer to have it replaced. THE ONLY PLACE THEY COULD FIND ONE WAS IN ARIZONA!!! They are on vacation in Florida, and will probably have to finish their vacation in a rental car.
Why would Cadillac put these subpar tires on a vehicle? I am absolutely livid that such fantastic car would have this inferior tire on it. They read the reviews after this happened, and are now afraid to come back through the mountains in it. (That is if they get a tire before their vacation is over.) PLEASE WARN PEOPLE ABOUT THESE TIRES. Don't let them kill you.

I am ** from Indirapuram. I purchased a Hyundai Verna 7 months ago and I am facing a serious problem with my 3 Bridgestone tires.. After 4 months of my purchasing date my front left tire suddenly got a single bubble on side wall. I went to showroom and ask for help.. They forwarded me straightaway very badly towards the Bridgestone dealer. They told me about the policy (i.e., tires and battery are not covered in Hyundai's warranty.. Very true.. But tires are covered by Bridgestone company). They are telling me to go here and there and now it's been 6 months and my 2 other tires also got 2 bubble on each tires on side wall.
Now I again went to showroom and ask for help. Finally they give me the contact number of 1 of your engineer **.. I called him and told him about my problems which i am facing with the tires. He took 2 week to arrange an appointment [(very annoying). What happens if any kind of damage happens with my car or with me if tire got busted]????
Now, this time I went to Bridgestone dealer where engineer ask me to meet. He rolled off my tires, checked it and give me a stupid reason that is "your tire is totally damaged and you have to purchase new tires of size 205 55 16", which cost me 10 thousand each. And dealer is saying in every second Hyundai Verna is having the same problem.. What a stupid reason.. Why should I buy new tires?? I am not a fool or any other customer is not a fool. The engineers are involved with the Bridgestone dealers and they are suggesting to the customers for new tires of size 205 55 16 for making their extra money and they are supporting to the dealers and they are helping them in increasing their business. In other words they are selling tires for them.
So now As I know and my experience of working with Madras Rubber Factory in Chennai for 4 years says that or according to research: - tire got damaged because, if any of the components are contaminated during manufacturing (resulting in incomplete bonding). Or 2nd reason could be due to by impact with potholes, curbs or other road hazards that pinch the tire between the rim and the road or simply stretch the rubber beyond the elastic limit of the underlying cords and wires. But this indicates that side wall bubble caused by component contamination or incomplete bonding during manufacturing will appear with in SIX months of service. However, there is one last thing to remember; while a bubble early in a tire's life is usually associated with a manufacturing condition.
And I agreed, might be bubble in a tire will occurred due to impact but how it happens suddenly with all of my 3 tires.. I am using a car since 2000. I used Maruti, Hyundai, Fiat Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, Tata and now again I tried Hyundai (Verna). I love cars. I drove so many cars but with tires NEVER NEVER face this kind of problem in my entire life and I am not gonna quit on this issue. I want to get my tires replaced or do something with it. Help me. I am ready to pay after wear and tear or otherwise I will go ahead to other concern senior authority. I'll do everything to get resolved this issue if i'll not get any response from you guys.. Every second, customer in India, in California, in Texas, in Utah, in Ohio, everyone is facing problem with Bridgestone tires.. I am not gonna leave.. A noise, which sounded like wheel bearing grinding metal started every time you drive above 37 MPH. We brought it to our mechanic and they said our bearing is fine, and it was the tires making the noise. We were advised to go back to Costco and get it rotated, which we did, hoping it would go away. But the problem got worse cause the noise is very loud and annoying.
I don't understand why a major brand manufacturer would bring out something like this junk. The noise has just gotten to the point that we cannot bear it anymore, so we are forced to shell out our money even if the tires still has good thread left. When this was told to Mahindra they informed Bridgestone person to inspect. They straightway concluded that this has happened because some sharp object has damaged the tire. Bridgestone tires are OEM on many new vehicles, because they discount them to the manufacturers. My wife has a 2012 Suzuki SX4 crossover with the Bridgestone Tundra 400 tire. These tires have a written warranty, it states that the tires will be prorated up to six years for 60,000 miles. Understand that this car was purchased new and had the tires rotated every 6000 miles since purchased. At 30,000 miles these tires are unsafe for wet or winter driving, at the wear bars. No it's not out of alignment, been checked, no it has no abnormal wear in the steering or suspension. These tires sell for $150.00 each. If you post anything about Bridgestone on there site reviews, they will not post it. If it's not a good review, forget it. So you should never trust any of the Bridgestone/Firestone reviews because they're not allowing real world posts about people's experiences.
They offered no help, no warranty, no prorate. Actually at this point they did me a favor. I wouldn't want to pay even half price, plus mounting, balancing and fees for these poorly designed tires. Be warned there not a honorable company. I will never do business with them in my lifetime. I did purchase new tires and they weren't a Bridgestone/Firestone product. If you are looking take a look at Cooper tires, always made in the US and good quality. So Mr. Bridgestone/Firestone I bought four new cooper Ultra Touring CS5 tires for less than what I would have have paid even if you gave me a prorate on these junk tires. These tires wear out quickly, are very noisy and just don't perform well even on light snow. Never buy Bridgestone based on their padded reviews.

Bridgestone Potenza 225/45R17 - I noticed some reviews on here from people that had the same issue I did with my Bridgestone tires. My tires had about 7/32 of an inch left of tread on them, which is about 80%. Luckily I was driving only about 30mph when all of the sudden it felt like my car got a flat and my right rear tire separated from my sidewalls and kept rolling down the road into traffic. I regularly check my tire pressure and make sure they stay about 32psi. I did not notice any nails or holes in the tire that would have caused my tire to go flat. My car is all wheel drive, so instead of replacing just one or two tires, I had to replace all four tires which was a costly repair. Not only was it expensive but it could have been very dangerous to me and my wife in the car. I am posting this comment hoping that Bridgestone will let me know what could have happened or reimburse me for my tires.

After applying for financing online and receiving my reference number via email, I went to the firestone on Madison St. where my salesperson was also the store manager, so I thought I was in good hands. After picking my tires out and also requesting an alignment check, I gave the manager the reference number I received online. Signed the receipt, came back an hour or so later. I see my tires look great, excited to get in to my Yukon and head to work. Waiting in the lobby for my keys, I notice it has picked up. They seemed a little under staffed. Waiting patiently I finally go asking about to the staff, needing my keys, requesting the manager who assisted me. I had to get to work by 2pm.
Finally I was informed my financing was declined. I pulled up the emails I was sent that morning. He gave me a phone number to the financing department, same one I already spoke to that morning, just a different operator. I called where I talked to 4 people getting disconnected two times, somehow each time I was put on hold being directed to the next person since the last one did not have an answer. I intensely expressed to each operator I had been at firestone since before eleven a.m. The tires were already on my vehicle.
The salesman is not allowing me to drive to the bank due to no payment, as well as the huge problem I have to be at work by 2 p.m., as well as I car pool with my roommate. I have been waiting since before eleven a.m. and I am now running out of time to make it to work on time. I don't want to get fired, what do I do? Who can help me? Your financing department was very unprofessional as well as inefficient. So I was not helped or directed to any solution by the staff at firestone. So I directed my issue to the customer service department where they were very supportive, listened and agreed the finance department as well as the store staff failed doing their job performing poor customer service. Customer service immediately called the store and asked me to go back into the store. They were calling them to release my keys and get me to work on time.
I get to the counter, the manager avoids me as well as the call. The other staff member who is informing him as well as asking him to take the phone call, requesting my keys allowing me to get to work as directed by the customer support still on the phone with me and the other staff member. He simply walks off after refusing to take the call or return my keys.
The other staff is very apologetic, explaining he is the new store manager yet not knowing what to do, afraid of losing his job by disagreeing. At this point I'm in tears, I will not make it to work on time costing me my job due to past tardiness (partially my fault) as well as my room mate was written up at work. By this point I just want out of there and nothing to do with firestone. When then I am asked if I need a ride to the bank or work by a staff member, I know he was just trying to help, but it was too late to save my job and it just added injury to insult. Insisting they just please take the new tires off and put my tires back on so I could just get out of there, I finally had to call a friend to come get me.
They were understaffed or overbooked their appointments. I was hungry, emotionally drained, of course not planning on being there for so long. Later that evening I went to get my keys and Yukon. This experience was awful I want nothing to do with firestone costing me my job and my roommate (my boyfriend's mother written up at work for tardiness), wasted my time and others' time, rejection and embarrassment. Due to firestones store staff and finance department not taking responsibility for their mistakes, only pointing the finger blaming one another and covering up for their own mistakes instead of demonstrating a higher level of professionalism as promised by firestone.

This review is for the Bridgestone Potenza G019 215/60/R16's. These are the worst tires I have ever had on any car I've owned, and I've owned many. I got them at Firestone, and Firestone typically has little in stock that's affordable, except the Bridgestone garbage that they sell. After they were first installed, they were great. But after one rotation, I noticed a loud noise coming from the right front tire. It was so loud, I thought my bearings were going out, or some other catastrophic failure that would cost more money to repair. It was just the one tire that had been on the rear, and had worn unevenly, and all showed signs of cupping after less than 7k.
They offered to switch two tires to put the noisy one back on the rear, but I said no. I listened to that god-awful noise until it was time to rotate again, thinking that after that, I'd get a quiet ride again. NOPE! It was just as noisy as the last time. The major chain garage I take it to (NOT Firestone) said the only thing to do would be to replace the one tire, if I thought it was that annoying (they assured me the tire was still safe to use), or wait to replace them all. I waited, and good riddance to these awful tires!

I've suffered with these 215 55R16 BS POTENZA G19 93H grid tires for the last 35,000 out of 45,000 miles. Purchased on 08/09/2008 they worked OK for the first 10,000 miles and then cupped at all four corners and have virtually no wet traction and roar and vibrate like the dickens going down the road. I seldom complain about things, but asking around I keep hearing the same lament, STAY AWAY from this tire!
Well, after 10,000 miles no one would stand behind them, and offered a paltry 25% discount to replace them. After $650.00 into tires, I can't afford that. So I soldier on for another 30K miserable miles with passengers asking, "what's wrong with your car?". Bridgestone, that's what. You have no idea what it is like driving an E320 that sounds like a pick-up with mudders. The vibration and lack of any real traction in the wet is FAR, FAR from what I thought POTENZA stood for.
Even worse, they are lasting a long time! I simply cannot figure out how you inflicted the public with this design tire with current CAD design expertise. Truly awful wear, noise and grinding vibration. And yes, they are regularly rotated so the grinding vibration I feel through the whole car (an E320!!) every time I stop is 100% consistent. My previous Bridgestones were fine. What happened?
Needles to say, I will/can't afford to ever buy your tires again and be stuck with the worst tire I've ever owned, a second time. Are you even remotely aware of how bad this tire is? There are legions of complaints just like mine. If you EVER want me to say Bridgestone and not use it as a curse word, I need to hear some form of redemption that this miserable design is vanquished from the earth. Even then the expense and YEARS of misery (and they are STILL grinding away even today) is still telling me to stay way.

This past weekend, while towing a gooseneck with an 8000-pound tractor, I had another tread separation and then blow out before I could get stopped. It has been garaged and I use that shiny, greasy stuff on the tires to keep it looking beautiful and it's supposed to prevent cracking. I recently had my brakes checked, and I was told the tires had dry rot and also had cracks. I was informed they were dangerous and needed to be replaced. I took the car for a second opinion and sure enough, I was told the same thing. I was also told that they were worn down to the bar.
I researched the price of the tires I had on the car, and they ranged anywhere from $240-$269 per tire. What?? Really??? So I called Bridgestone Tires and discussed their replacing the 4 tires assuming there was a warranty. They told me not only do they NOT have mileage warranty on the tires, but they only have a 4-year warranty against cracking. What??! I have always had Michelin Pilots on my cars. I always have luxury cars - owned 4 Infiniti's.
I guess I will NEVER own Bridgestone Tires again. The worst. They are overpriced and garbage. They don't stand behind their product and tack on ridiculous prices on their tires - seems almost political since a lot of cars come with Bridgestone Tires. Makes you wonder if there was some kind of payoff made. Once you have them on your car, you're stuck. If you get a nail or flat, you need one tire; you're locked in to Bridgestone. They also void the 4-year crack warranty on a used car purchase. When purchasing a car, ask the dealer to switch the tires from another car and another brand. Saves a lot of money for you in the end.

I purchased a new Mini Cooper S in December 2011 and immediately removed the 205/45/17 Bridgestone Run-Flat tires and rims for Dunlop winter tires for the season. In March 2012 I put the still new Bridgestone tires back on the Mini after the last winter storm had departed. In May the car was in for a service and I noticed that the front tires had already worn down to their wear-bar after only 10,000 km. I complained to the dealer who advised that I should have an alignment check done. This I did (at a cost of $200 to me) only to find that the vehicle was within range. I decided to switch my front tires to the rear of the vehicle in order to maximize wear and see if the two rear ones that were not at all worn would wear just as fast. After a couple of weeks, the warning lamp came on indicating I had a puncture. It was one of the worn tires (now on the rear of the vehicle) that had worn so much it was not worth repairing.
I spent two hours calling all available tire dealers to find two replacement Run-Flat tires and no one had any in stock. These are a specialty order! I called the dealer who also didn’t have any. After some discussion, I decided I was not going to replace the Run-Flat tires at over $300 a piece, but would switch all four tires for non-run flats at $160 a piece. I have been driving for over 30 years and I have never experienced nor heard of anyone who has worn out a pair of tires in less than 10,000 km, but when I did some research online, I found that this is common with Run-Flats. So why would I pay twice as much as normal tires for something that rides hard, doesn’t handle all that well, wears twice as fast and can’t be replaced without a special order? The selection of brands and types of Run-Flat brands in this size is also greatly limited.
Answer: don’t use Run-Flats. They suck! I have replaced with Good Year Eagles and am so far I’m pretty happy (just waiting to see the wear patterns). Mini, you seriously need to consider what you are doing forcing customers to use these products. This is a significant negative aspect of selecting a Mini. Bridgestone, this has seriously damaged your reputation and I would think many times over before selecting your products. Mini and Bridgestone, I went to your websites and could not find a complaints section nor a 1-800 number where I could call in my compliant.

Upon inspection, I noticed the tires seemed to be chopped. At this time, I returned to Tire Kingdom and was told because of the tires being oversized, they are not under warranty. This makes me very unhappy. We purchased your brand due to the sales rep at our local store. We really expected better quality of a product for the amount of money spent. Bottom line, it's less than 20,000 miles before they had to be replaced, and the tire company would do nothing. I have bought car tires for over 65 years and never got such poor wear from any tire. I had to replace them because of excessive "chunking" on both sides of both tires. This also included the first rib of both tires on the inside and the outside location. Bridgestone refused the warranty on the tires because they said it was due to running over curbs. These are basically 150,000 mi. commercial truck tires which take massive abuse all the time. I did not and do not run over curbs with my 35,000 lb. motorhome. My local tire dealer agreed that that would not have been the case anyway, because there is no sign of any sidewall rubbing or scuffing, which would be the case if that was the cause. Also, local tire dealer asked Bridgestone how the inside of both tires would have been damaged due to running over or rubbing against curbs. Their response was that they didn't know how that would or could occur.
But that was their opinion so therefore they wouldn't provide any warranty. I also provided them with pictures of one of my original Michelin tires which I had for 6 yrs. and 47,000 mi. with no sign of problems, except sidewall cracking due to age. I am an owner of 2009 Toyota Camry LE that was purchased March of 2009 after purchasing a 2008 Toyota Camry LE the year prior. The vehicle was brand new with only 5 miles that read on the odometer. Around 16,000 miles, I asked for rotation of my tires like I do every 5,000 miles and the attendant advised me that tires were bald. It was deja vu all over again because this happened to my 2008 Camry the year before and the 2009 barely gets driven. I instantly thought the attendant was trying to sell me new tires but the advice from the attendant was correct, the tread measurement stated it was hazardous to drive. When you go on Bridgestone's website, it states that the Turenza EL400 goes for 50,000 miles. When you call the customer relations line, the operators state that there is no warranty on the tire because it came with the car (stock tires). This is beyond illogical to me. They also state that the tire is soft to maximize mileage and waste quickly but should last 25k miles.
After spending $25,000 on a car, no consumer wants to hear that within a year, the tires of your brand new vehicle will have to be replaced without warranty even though they have a standardized warranty if it was not a stock tire. I contacted Toyota and they quickly stated to me a phone number to call Bridgestone. I also tried to contact the dealer who quickly told me that it is Toyota's responsibility who handles customer complaints. I have searched online and recognize I am not the only consumer that is complaining about the tires not lasting more than 20,000 miles. Today, I went to a Bridgestone authorized dealer who generated my quote for new Turenza tires.
On the quote has a pro-rated price because according to the remaining tread depth of my original tires of 3/32 calculates, out of pocket expense totals $397.18. Of course, this is with a $75.60 charge of roadside assistance package. Thirty-seven percent of the tires usage was used in the formula for calculating the new Turenza tires from Bridgestone which are warranting 50,000 miles. The amount of miles on my vehicle is 18,606. This is outrageous and once again illogical to me.
Bridgestone acknowledges that more than 50 percent of the usage of the tire were not used and they are stating the tires need to be changed but at the cost of nearly $400.00. I do not see how a company whose consumer's lives are in jeopardy with a faulty product can get away with selling products not up to par. Also, be allowed to pick and choose warranties on the same product. This is not the first time this has come across, like I stated before, my previous 2008 Camry's tires were replaced at 21,000 miles but I am not going to pay another $400.00 for the same tires. I paid 600.00 dollars towards the brand new set of tires because I did not do any research on expectation of the tires on my 2008 Toyota Camry. An investigation should be prompted. I am not the only consumer that is complaining about the wearing down of these tires in less than 20,000 miles. Tires need to be replaced ASAP, it is hazardous to drive under the conditions.

I read on a website, multiple reports of people that had totaled their vehicles, specifically the Maxima, due to loss of traction and attributing the loss of control due to the tires the 'OEM's that I believe are still being used by Nissan. I purchased 4 new tires at Big-O tires that matched the rating and specifications recommended and I have not had any problems with feeling as if the back end is going to get away/out of control.
I just wonder if Nissan owns/or is affiliated with Bridgestone tires, and that being the reason they ignore the multiple complaints, I will add my cynical view and state, that it is definitely a way to continue to sell more vehicles. I did not contact the manufacturer, but I did inquire with the dealership and the general response was indifference and disbelief, "we've had no one else complain" Thank you for allowing me to air my thoughts on what I see as a potential danger for consumers and liability for Nissan Corporation.

I bought a 2007 Camry and the tires are gone at 22000 miles, they had bad wear at 16000 miles. The tires are Bridgestone Turanza P215 60R 16. What can I do?
Reviewed July 21, 2006
On June 7, 2006 my left rear Bridgestone Ultra High Performance tire suddenly blew out. I was driving about 55 mph.It had about 5000 miles on it. The entire tread seperated leaving only two bands around the wheel. As requested I sent the carcass to Bridgestone. Without objective analysis Bridgestone decided the blowout was a result of insufficient air and did not result from a defect in either materials or workmanship. As a result of Bridgestone's refusal to adequately or fairly address my claim I have filed a complaint with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration Office of Defects Investigation.
Damages: $2000 in tire, wheel and body damage.
