    Poor customer service! Package states it was delivered to a locker which we DO NOT have lockers, only mailboxes. I contacted Boscov’s to obtain a proof of delivery and the representative sounded like she hates her job! She was rude and spoke in a condescending manner. I will NEVER order from them again!!

    The items there are very nice and the clothes are nice and cute too but kinda expensive if no discount. I would only go if the stuff was on sale. My biggest problem was the staff. Some of them were just plain rude. My child was looking at toys and picked up a ball and bounced it a few times and when she went to put the ball in the cart a employee came up and yelled at my child "don't bounce the balls or I will get security." Then when I went to check out my child did a little jog to go look at something quick and a different employee yelled at my child "no running!" I have read other reviews about employees being rude so I just wanted to say this to let Boscov's fix their employee problem.

    Our experiences with Boscov's Customer Service at the York, Pa Store has been consistent. In other words there isn’t any Customer Service! For that matter there isn’t any service at all, with one exception, the “Mens Department”…see below. We rarely write reviews of any kind, but this is an attempt to have what is a huge problem corrected or we will (like many others) take out business elsewhere.

    As your customers (speaking for ourselves & the countless unsatisfied reviewers across the country) what we experience from your employees (with the exception of the Men’s department, York, Pa Store) is they are extremely rude, condescending and unwilling to help. They present miserable, hating their jobs, so as a Customer all you want to do is get out of the building, even if you weren’t finished shopping.

    They actually tell you they can’t help you, go to a different register, I don’t know how to do that, then offer no help, etc. There is no hint of a smile when it’s finally your turn to checkout, no greeting (can I help you, thank you for shopping at Boscovs), no eye to eye contact, absolutely ZERO engagement & ZERO help. Sure they check you out but that is the extent of their willingness to do a good job. They actually sneer at you if you ask a reasonable question. We’ve read a ton of reviews and many of your Customers agree…they’re are not coming back. So apparently the problem goes all the way to the top.

    It would benefit your store greatly to hire people who actually want to work before you have no customers left. Time after time we go into your store and it’s virtually empty, that is taking into consideration how large it is and the location. You should remember, Camp Hill shopping, Harrisburg area shopping, Lancaster shopping, Maryland area shopping all have other department stores that are a hop, ship & a jump away from York. We all can go there to do our shopping. It’s obvious a ton of money was spent to update your York store, now it would be wise to update your Customer Service etiquette.

    Just in case it’s important to you as a owner: Etiquette Defined— Customer service etiquette encompasses the polite and professional conduct expected when interacting with customers. It involves treating customers with respect, showing empathy, and providing helpful and efficient service. Key elements include active listening, clear communication, and finding solutions to customer issues while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

    Take lessons from the wisdom of the Gentleman in the Mens department, they know how to treat a Customer and they’re consistent in doing so! As outlined in the definition above, they do a fantastic job! We have no affiliation with ANYONE in your business, nor any bias against or for anyone. We’re simply speaking the truth about our experience over a period of a few years.

    Ordered something. Then I received a blunt email the next day saying it was cancelled. Then of course received their marketing emails. I believe the item ordered was just to get people for their emails. I would avoid.

    Terrible company to deal with. Delivered package by road not on porch. Of course it was stolen. Boscov's said they won't do anything about. Please do not shop at this place. Terrible. Will not deal with these idiots again.

    I cannot believe the management at this store! There is a woman named "Z" working in the make up dept who is rude and incompetent. I have complained about her multiple times and always try to get someone ELSE in the dept to wait on me. She actually came AT me, waving her hand in my face saying "You don't have the right to have who you want wait on me!" and "You should go somewhere else!" The manager TODAY came at me, Pat ** is her name, telling me the same thing!!!! UNBELIEVABLE! When I called the store directly a CHILD named Roy who said he was a manager was completely worthless and incompetent! I think Boscov's needs a lesson in good customer service and sanity!

    I recently came across this site while looking for a very specific item that my wife loves, it's usually sold by another company, the original company stopped making the items but Boscov's had exactly what I was looking for, & at the same price as the original company plus they offered me a 10% percent discount then 2 days later ran a 15% off sale so I contacted them via customer service through email and their customer service went above and beyond to adjust my price to the 15% discount which they didn't have to do in my opinion. I couldn't be happier with both products and their staff that was nothing but patient, understanding and helpful. I would definitely recommend Boscov's to anyone looking for great products at an affordable price. If I could I would give them 10⭐'s if possible!!!!

    I got this bracelet as a gift for my daughter's birthday in May 2024. August of this year 2024 she had put the bracelet on but later not knowing that it had fallen off because she found the bracelet on the living room rug. When she picked it up she saw that it was broken. I took it back to Boscov's only for them to tell me that it would cost me another 98.00 to repair it. I paid for the BOSCOERAGE but it will not cover it to be fixed. I feel like I most definitely have been taken advantage of. I feel that I was taken advantage of because this clearly is not quality jewelry. I am so disappointed and I have been a customer for YEARS. Now I'm stuck with no gift for my daughter and the bracelet is worthless.

    First order online with this company. The store didn’t have my size. So I ordered online. Got my order and they sent me the wrong size even though the order and the shipping receipt had the correct order size, the product size was wrong. Call expecting them to say, "We are sorry, let us fix it." Nope. I was on hold almost 30 minutes. Get a person. She is asking questions about my order then she hangs up on me. So I call back. Wait another 15 and I get a lady who treated me as if I got the order wrong. In the end, I had to pay for a new order. To get my money back from the first order I have to take the product to the store. The store for me is an hour away. I will not shop at this store again. They treat their customers terribly. Oh and I have to wait another 10 days to get my new order. Hopefully they get the size right.

    Requiring us to use your credit card for getting a bigger discount, this is what was one of the biggest downfalls in your business that lead the PENNSYLVANIA TAX PAYERS bailing you out. Hopefully our government now will not follow the past bad act of bailing you out. CASH or a credit card not affiliated with Boscov's gives you the BEST purchasing power and NOT Giving you BIGGER Chance of higher DEBT. Have you learned anything from your past, I GUESS NOT.

    Boscov's team of well knowledgeable staff, make it easy to purchase their fine quality of "numerous" items, and their website is very easy to utilize! Their selection of products, is "top notch", and very affordably priced! In addition, their extremely "on time delivery", makes it even more superb! I am relatively new as a boscovs customer, but expect to be a long term one, going forward! Everything I have purchased so far has "exceeded" my expectations! This family owned business has me a "permanent "customer! Keep up the "excellent" work! I have recommended them to several of my friends and family!

    I wasn’t sure how I was charged without actually submitting the order (I changed my mind last minute) but now I see I’m not the only one who had that happen. Never got a confirmation email either. Once I saw the order went through anyway because I was charged, I was okay because I was getting some teethers my baby loves. But the order has never been shipped. Just sitting there in wonderland I guess. How annoying and frustrating.

    I would never order from Boscov's for pick up at store ever again. It has been 2 days and my small order of 2 items is still not ready. Had I known it would have taken this long I would have shopped somewhere else.

    Horrible company to do business with. What a nightmare. I paid off the account and they are so desperate to keep charging for nothing. Steer clear of their cheap overpriced merchandise. It's not worth it.

    They do a good job by keeping their price down but once the purchase was made, you're stuck with it. The dimensions didn't match what was advertised online. Went to UPS to return, the return cost was on me, they don't pay for it. Customer service has no clue what the return address needs to be. The address they gave me is non existing. I emailed them 4 days ago and no response. I will stick with Amazon that honors their returns and shopping at the store where I know what I get and I can return anytime at no additional cost. Boscov online shopping is a joke.

    We picked up a heavy duty recliner for a friend that has dementia. I picked it up at the Boscov's Plymouth meeting store, the young gentleman was very helpful in getting it into my truck. We purchased the 5-year warranty, and within a week there was an issue with the motor. We are not completely sure if it was error on our friend's part in the way she operated it but called customer service to get a motor. I believe the woman's name was Jeannie, she was the best, so helpful and resolved the issue immediately. I was able to pick up another chair in exchange the next day. She offered to deliver it as a courtesy. It's so rare to have a customer service agent that cares like she did.

    I would rate them zero stars if I could. I bought a pair of sneakers online. They sent me a totally different pair from what is pictured. In the photo attached you can see that brown and white shoes were ordered. They sent completely white shoes of a different style. For me to return them I need to pay the return shipping. There is no store anywhere near where I live. They are very misleading and deceptive and refuse to admit their mistake. I’ve read many other reviews of them also sending the wrong item. Do not buy anything online from them!

    Like many others, I was TRIPLE charged for an item I ordered. Two charges were posted to my PayPal account before I actually placed the order. The Boscov's chat agent advised "I see that you ran all three attempts at placing an order through Paypal. Those attempts needs to be cleared off your account or updated with Paypal customer service team at 1.888.221.1161." PayPal is saying that the merchant needs to cancel the transactions on their end. I am asking the Boscov's chat agent to stay connected until this is resolved.

    There are so many sales desks for there to me -2 employees. They are nowhere to be found. I have to all around the store to find someone that works there, finally I gave up and went to check myself out and I can’t even scan my things because the place to scan is so small. I’m almost done and then it says I need an employee to check one of my items, how am I supposed to do that when no one is around?? There are two people working at the help desk both helping one person so I say I need assistance and the one lady is like “I can’t do that” like do you work here or not? So I wait for both of them to finish the one person instead of the one that can actually do their job to come over and the other to finish helping the person I have to wait and all they had to do was type a number in, no security tags or nothing. I like Boscovs and their things they sell but this is ridiculous trying to check out.

    Hello everyone. If you don't mind buying things that have no warranty then by all means go ahead and get your glasses at Boscov's. I made the mistake of making an assumption that if you buy a pair of glasses you have some kind of warranty. I just purchased a nice new set of glasses, less than 2 months ago, with polycarbonate lenses that are supposed to come with scratch resistant coating. I've had glasses all my life and I have dropped them before. These ones fell off my truck seat onto my floor mat and immediately scratched so I took them back to Boscov's only to be told there is no warranty unless you purchase it separately which I was not advised of when I bought the glasses.

    Then the guy told me he could sell me the warranty now and we can turn your glasses in. I ask how much it was he said $25. I said, "That's good. Let's do that." He said, "You also have to pay 20% of the lenses." My lenses were $65 so I figured 12 bucks not a problem. Then he advised me that I have to pay 20% of the retail price of the lenses which was $480. I told him he was a crook and I left. They will never get my business again. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

    Placed an order online. I open the box and the wrong item is in the box. The correct packing slip for my order is in the box but I ordered a Christmas decoration and received a set of cooking pots. Clearly they have a quality control issue. I then attempt send an online response to them using their web interface. Think they have it setup for online orders, think again. I have to pick a store. Same is true if you call them, pick a store. I didn't order from a specific store, I ordered online!

    They are more concerned with getting the item back than getting me the item I ordered. It's a Sunday and they don't know if any management is around. They delivered on a Sunday but can't address customer issues on a Sunday? Talked to a manager on the phone for internet services and she just kept talking over me. Would not listen to the customer. It was her way or the highway! I took the highway, I asked for a full refund asap! I will never will do business with this place again. I recommend others do the same.

    Such a nice place to shop. Never had a negative experience. Workers are always friendly, and so helpful. The woman in gift wrapping was so considerate to my needs. I needed odd shaped boxes.. and she took the time to choose just the right ones for me. I appreciate good customer service, and she certainly provided it!

    This review is concerning me on my way to the dressing room, the clerk thought I was coming to the desk to check out, and she says I need to go to another check out, another person that was with me says the clerk starting waiting on another person right away. When I came out of the dressing room I went to another desk but no one was there, had to go over to shoe department to get checked out. I told the clerk there he said that was not very nice. I shop at this store couple of times a month and this is the second time something has happen this year. I won't be coming in much anymore. I feel like some of these ladies are prejudice. Ladies in the cosmetics are wonderful, sweet, need to switch them

    Buyer beware. The online shopping experience is a nightmare. The website is completely outdated and difficult to use and order status updates seem to be nonexistent. Multiple orders were cancelled without cause and one even without notification. The gifts ordered never processed and therefore never made it to the recipient in time despite my card being charged. After going back and forth with rude CS agents over the phone I gave up and ordered elsewhere and would encourage you do to the same. This entire ordeal was a waste of time and I will not be shopping with this store online or in person ever again.

    Was contemplating an online order...Went to Review Order Page but found a better price on a different website but was somehow still charged by Boscov's despite not actually submitting the order. Called customer service and they basically said that this is normal practices and I should expect my money back in 3-5 days. WTH? No other company in this country actually takes your money BEFORE submitting an order. Now, I'm forced to use MORE money to buy what I wanted from the other website. This is the shadiest experience I've had with an online retailer. I will NEVER attempt to order anything from this place....EVER AGAIN. It's now evident why their customer experience ratings are so low.

    Store staff were very difficult about returning an item without receipt. I was offered return for store credit (after I had to repeatedly ask about the store’s return policy if you didn’t have the receipt). Originally I was told I would receive lowest price item ringing up was $19.10 but oddly when they scanned the item for store credit it rang up as .99 cents for an item originally marked $49.99. This struck me as very odd as just a few minutes prior the item rang up at $19.10. This was a 2 piece trademarked Dr. Seuss pajama set with tags. Sales desk clerk insulted me by saying they no longer had any in stock in the store and the item could have been purchased from last year. Entire experience was insulting and a waste of my time.

    The product purchased had an inferior seam fall apart on the pant leg the very first time it was worn for a work theme party. It was embarrassing and clearly a very poorly made product. Boscov's is clearly not concerned with customer service, standing behind quality of merchandise they sell, or maintaining return policies similar to other large chain department stores. Very disappointed with this entire experience. Although I am certain my husband paid more than $19.10 for this product, I would’ve been fine with that credit, however these switch to 99 cents was suspicious and questionable business practice,

    I bought KitchenAid® Stainless Steel 10pc. Stainless Steel Cookware Set online via PayPal for $79.75. They took the money and a few days later I get an email they canceled my order. I went and looked to see if they didn’t have it anymore and they are selling it now for $169.99. What a scumbag thing to do. I will never shop at Boscov’s ever again!

    We have shopped at Boscov's for the last 4 years since we moved to Ballston Spa, NY. My husband is a veteran and we were told that they had a veteran's discount at their store. We were also told that I, his wife, could take advantage of their sales. My daughter also used his veteran's discount and "thanks for your service" always followed our exchanges. Today, I went to Boscov's in Clifton Park. My husband recently had knee replacement surgery and was unable to travel so he gave me his card. The manager, so she said, told me I could not use his card today. I'm in my mid-70's and drove from Ballston Spa to Clifton Park to shop there. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was it. I couldn't use it. She was rude and dismissive. I was shocked. For the last 4 years, I had used it. We only went to Clifton Park 3 times a year so it wasn't like we overused it. I will never return to Boscov's after this experience.

    Store 72 in Newark Delaware convinced me to Never shop at this company again. I went buy some blouses and pants for spring. The first associate said I don’t speak no English and walked away. When I told her supervisor she acted like so what. The cashier was rude and disrespectful. I called corporate they were no help. The store manager said half the store called out so associates are just upset. She was even rude. She said we have several people that go speak no English. I am done with it them. They are the worse company in Delaware!
