I have submitted multiple claims in the past few months. All have been processed quickly and communication fast and clear if anything was required for processing. Dealing with Healthy Paws is an unfortunate pleasure. Taking care of my dog's health isn't determined by expense. A great pet insurance policy keeps thought process to quality of life only.

My dog Daisy was in need of ACL surgery after giving her a month with medication in hopes she’d get better on her own but did not happen. I couldn’t bear to see Daisy in pain and not being able to walk, run or jump so didn’t think further and decided that surgery was the best for her. Total cost was approx. $3800 and luckily for Healthy Paws Insurance they were able to cover 80% of the total cost which was a big help. All they required was the invoice and medical records related to the incident. This was something out of the ordinary and they were there to assist with no issues. I even received an email asking how Daisy was after her surgery. This is a great insurance to have and their customer service is great. Would highly recommend.

Look no further. Healthy Paws has the best plans available on the market. I’ve had this insurance since 2017 and have had to use it for major expensive surgeries on 3 separate pets at different times. The last one was a TPLO surgery on my 3 year old chow and a dental surgery on the other. It’s a huge sigh of relief knowing I have the insurance and my beloved pets get the healthcare they need when they need it. Also, bloodwork, X-rays and medications have always been covered 80%. Thank you for keeping my dogs as healthy as they can be.

I submitted claims by fax, and the next day the claims were approved and check mailed to me. We are very pleased with the ease of submitting claims and very rapid response and payment. I also appreciate that an email was sent to me asking how our dog was after her surgery.

I am so grateful we enrolled our Goldendoodle, Barkely, when he was a puppy. Healthy Paws has been exceptional in handling each and every one of our claims. I had been enrolled in Healthy Paws pet insurance since I adopted my dog Polly from the shelter in 2018. In all of that time, I had never needed it, but continued on. A few weeks ago, our sweet girl started to show bruising all over her belly and groin. She had developed a life-threatening auto-immune disease called ITP and had to be in the emergency vet ICU for several days. While there, in order to get her platelet count up, and save her from spontaneous internal bleeding, she was treated with chemo drugs and other medications that saved her life.

Healthy Paws has amazing customer service and their response time is top-notch, especially for an insurance provider! They reimbursed us quickly and explained every aspect of their claim process and forms very thoroughly. We couldn't be happier with them and their service.

Our Labrador, Joss injured himself and was paralyzed all of the sudden. He was diagnosed with a slipped disc and had to have an emergency surgery. After a long stay at the hospital, he is home now and recovering. His prognosis is good and is expected to fully recover. I've had Healthy Paws for my Jack Russell Terrier (JRT) since 2015, basically when he was almost a year old. They have always been fair and processed claims quickly. Their app is very easy to navigate and you can keep track of all your claims even into the future. Recently, Ozzy, my JRT, had a mass growing on his front leg. Removal of the growth and skin grafts are extremely expensive and continuous bandage changes add up. We have spent well over $2k so far and Ozzy is not nearly finished with his care yet. Never, not once, has Healthy Paws given us trouble with our claims. And they even emailed us to inquire on his recovery! What insurance does that?! The level of professionalism and heart this company has is admirable. If you are looking into Pet Insurance, look no further. The premiums are a small cost for peace of mind. No regrets.

I've been insured with Healthy Paws for my two cats since December 2016 and it's been a great experience. Everything happened so fast, my tiny one year old toy poodle broke his leg. I rushed him to a regular vet, they did X-rays and said he needed surgery. I found a surgeon to operate and I dropped him off at the hospital the next day. Healthy Paws were amazing, guiding me through all the paperwork every step of the way. I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance!!! I have been a customer of Healthy Paws for 10 years, insuring my dog and 3 house cats over this period. I have always gotten great service. My dog has idiopathic epilepsy diagnosed in his second year. Recently, one of my 6 year old cats required medical care and hospitalizations for 2 life-threatening conditions, seemingly unrelated, that occurred about a month apart. The second illness required 6 days of 24/7 care in an emergency clinic in addition to multiple follow-up visits and testing with my veterinarian.

Our cat Dimond went to the ER and has been hospitalized for four days due to acute inflammation of several organs and now is doing pretty well. His ALT is still high from his bloodwork recheck so he will be on a liver protectant for a while. This is our first time submitting claims on Healthy Paws and the whole process was super easy and quick. Thanks for protecting Dimond and I definitely will recommend healthy paws to friends who also have fur family members!

When our dog was injured, we took her to an orthopedic vet for x-rays and diagnosis. She was diagnosed with a Torn CCL. She needed CCL surgery and will need rehab in a few weeks. Luckily we had Healthy Paws and they paid 80% of her surgery, therapy, medications and x-rays. Well worth the money! I recommend getting their insurance. Easy to place a claim, and reimbursement is sent promptly.

Since we took out pet insurance for our 5 year old Labrador 5+ years ago we have been impressed by Healthy Paws' speedy response to our claims. It couldn't be easier to submit a claim, by email or photo of a vet invoice, and credits are typically turned around within a day or two. I’m so pleased with the service that I received from Healthy Paws insurance and I highly recommend this company. I selected Healthy Paws insurance six years ago when I brought home a new puppy. My choice was based on the plan flexibility of changing the deductible and coverage percentage. Families can pick what they can afford. Keep in mind that it’s very expensive to go to the emergency vet clinic, having some coverage is better than none. Healthy Paws fully explains on their site what is covered. Recently my dog was ill and required several trips to the emergency vet. The claims were easy to submit and they kept me informed every step of the way. Reimbursement was in a timely manner and best of all there were no surprises, they covered exactly what was stated.

Reccomand this insurance. They were quick to review the claims and email to check on the pet that just had surgery. They also covered the cost of the procedure as stated by their policy. My dog had ACL surgery and was very costly, so it was great that I could count on the insurance. Also, during the week of surgery, my cat was at the emergency room for three nights, and she is also covered by the insurance. They checked her claim, her vet documentations, and also covered her stay. It is a peace of mind knowing I can keep my pets safe in emergency situations.

My dog had two TPLO surgeries in a year and a half. I chose a plan with 80% reimbursement. The plan covered the surgery, meds and rehab expenses including acupuncture. After submitting the bills, the claims were processed in a couple of days and reimbursement to my bank account a couple days after that. And they emailed me to see how our dogs was. This is an expensive, stressful surgery but having this good insurance gave me peace of mind.

I'm very pleased with my experience! I have to admit I was skeptical about insuring my cats at all as they're usually pretty low maintenance after their kitten phase. I've also heard of so many insurance companies 'claiming' to cover but then not paying out. Boy am I glad I listened to my gut when choosing Healthy Paws!! The plan itself is definitely affordable every month and with a low annual deductible, 90% coverage and no caps or incident limits, it's been worth every penny! One of our fur babies is not even two and became really ill with what seemed to be a bacterial infection with unknown origin. Our vet took care of him and Healthy Paws took care of us! Service was relatively swift and when I had to call in with questions they were helpful and quick to answer. The follow up to check in on how our cat was doing even after they settled the claim was very sweet and shows how stellar their customer service really is!

Our dog came down with a case of bloat overnight on a Sunday evening. She had to be rushed into life-saving surgery at 1 AM and all of the decisions for her care needed to be made immediately. I have been using Healthy Paws since I adopted my first cat in 2018, and they always provide the quickest response and claim processing. All you need to do is to provide the invoice and the medical records that you get from the vet. They usually process within 10 days, and if you have provided enough documents, there would be no back and forth on the coverage. They always cover as much as they can, and all would list clearly on the claim statement. I adopted a new cat last year, keep choosing Healthy Paws. He was terribly ill last month, but with Healthy Paws, I did not hesitate to take him to the vet and did every exam that we need to save his life. He is now getting better. I filed two claims and both went through quickly. Healthy Paws really support us pets' parents as reliable insurance.

When our dog Dash developed a limp, x-rays showed he may have compressed disks in his spine. The vet recommended an MRI, at $3,500. We knew Healthy Paws would be there for us, so we said yes. Healthy Paws approved the claim and sent reimbursement in days. Best of all, the MRI showed no neurological damage. We couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws.

My pup and I have been customers since 2017. As a first time pet-parent, I opted for pet insurance, because I wanted my girl to be protected without having to hesitate over the cost of treatment, should serious illness or accident occur. I had compared providers and liked the reviews for Healthy Paws the most. I continue to be happy with my decision. I submit every receipt/invoice from each vet visit (just in case I assume incorrectly that something is not covered) and the Team diligently and patiently reviews all charges, and responds with explanation of what is covered in each case. Already, there have been two bigger-ticket items where the reimbursement exceeded my expectations, with the latest one being worth almost 2 years of our current monthly premiums!

I work for the largest corporate veterinary hospital in the US and as a perk, they subsidize the cost of Trupanion for four pets. Well, as most others in the animal industry know, sometimes you own more than four... I looked at purchasing Trupanion for my new Great Dane puppy as they had been great with the coverage and claims for my other pets and realized the monthly premium was over $160 for my chosen options (90% reimbursement with a $500 deductible).

I wanted to thank you so much for checking in after my pup was admitted in the hospital a few weeks back! It was a long, scary week for my pup and family. Thankfully he is doing much better. He is on a strict hypoallergenic diet (think Surf and Turf for dogs in terms of the $$$$-ouch!) but he has not had any GI issues for a few weeks so I am hopeful that we figured out the cause-otherwise he needs to go back for more diagnostics-not fun for him or us! Paws crossed we are on the right path! You guys are the best-makes scary times more manageable knowing we are not having to worry about the bill. My other pup also has Healthy Paws (he is 10!) and we have barely had to use it at all but it's well worth it knowing we have it in times like we had with our pup!

So glad I decided to take out insurance policy on my dog Blu with Healthy Paws. Blu has torn his knee ligament in both legs three months apart. I've used Healthy Paws for about 3 years, during that time I've contacted their customer service department 2 times and each time they were extremely rude and dismissive. In less than a year they raised their prices over 30% without contacting me or changing the policy. Their explanation was "Other people are using the insurance in your area so they are raising the premiums." When compared with other insurance agencies, I would say Healthy Paws has been by far the most frustrating.

In the beginning of March our pet 4 year old, Willo Rae began experiencing severe sickness and had to be rushed to our veterinarian at the Animal Medical Center of Lehigh Acres. Tests revealed the need for emergency surgery and Willo Rae was taken to the Blue Diamond medical hospital in Fort Myers, where emergency surgery required the removal of her gall bladder. She is now on the road to a recovery she and we are so grateful for. It was a fortunate decision for us to obtain insurance from Healthy Paws for Willo Rae and that decision was most fortunate in Willo’s extreme time of need. Our Sugar-Bear is an American Akita. Last summer he tore his ACL and dislocated his knee cap so he required surgery. His recovery was a bit rough and all I wanted to do was ensure that he was comfortable and give him all the love and cuddles he wanted. I was able focus on my Beary because having Healthy Paws in our corner helped ease my worries about covering all the expenses. Three weeks ago he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma…an aggressive form of bone cancer. Bear once again required surgery and this time it was to amputate his back hind limb. As you can imagine it was a tough decision but he is doing excellent! We removed the source of him pain and he is recovering wonderfully. We are grateful to Healthy Paws for being there when we needed them. Great customer service and best of all peace of mind.

I want to share my positive experience for the past 9 years having 2 small Havanese fur babies. Periodically I have needed to submit claims. I have not had any difficulty with the process which is very simple. I have used manual mail in and more recent three years online and phone app. Process. My Buddy 9 years of age this summer has had two major surgeries unexpected. In 2020 he had a soft tissue sarcoma and aggressive type of cancer. Following surgery and then radiation treatment he came thru very well. This past two weeks Buddy had surgery for a torn ACL same radiation leg which surgery was our only option. Having Healthy Paws Insurance for both fur babies and the ease of claims and custom coverage I have been blessed to have both babies with me healthy and being able to take all my time and strength to be a great caregiver.

Even if I lose you somewhere while reading my review, please purchase a Healthy Paws pet insurance for your pet now. This is not like deciding whether to purchase your baby a duck toy or a squeaky ball. For the past 8 years Healthy Paws has saved us money we sometimes didn't have. It has allowed us to focus our energy and time on providing Mossi the best vet-care, rather than worrying about money. You don't want to avoid a visit to the vet because you cannot afford it. There is a lot of information online and in social media, which can be very overwhelming. It can also be very misleading, but the go-to for many people because it accessible, and cheaper. I do not recommend this at all.

My dog started having some tummy issues, which required vet visits, tests, blood work, MRIs, etc. This all added up to thousands of dollars in vet bills that I would not have been able to afford without this insurance. I have been so impressed by how Healthy Paws has come through for us over the years but especially recently. My 3 1/2 year-old dog Jack has had a couple of minor incidents over the years and they were always quick to process his claims and send a check in the mail, but they recently came through for us in a major way when he was suddenly diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease and had to have major emergency spinal surgery and a hospital stay with a dog neurologist. I have two cats, unfortunately both of them got CKD problem and teeth resorption problem. The costs are so high to take them for blood work every half year, and check their teeth if they need surgery. Healthy paws always reimburse the payment within a week!

Seven years ago when I got my first dog, my cousin advised me to look into pet insurance. I was not sure at the time, but it was the best decision I made. Through research, I found Healthy Paws, and I decided to give them a try since they seem to have great coverage. For the first few years, we did not need to use the policy. However, in 2018, when my dog was about three, our dog had multiple indolent eye ulcers, and he couldn't open his eye. I can credit Healthy Paws for helping me save my dog's eyes. After several costly procedures and many specialist visits, my dogs eyes were healed. They paid all claims in accordance with the contract.

Two paws up for this company!! Our 10 month old German Shepherd was very sick with a respiratory issue and hospitalized for 3 days. Needless to say, we received a hefty medical bill from the emergency vet. We paid the bill upfront and submitted the invoice to Healthy Paws for reimbursement. A couple weeks later we received a check from Healthy Paws. There was no hassle, rebuttal or confusion about what was to be covered. The check came quickly and was the correct amount based on our selected coverage plan. The staff at Healthy Paws even checked in with us a few days later to see how our pup was feeling. There is no better insurance company in my eyes. 5 ++++ stars!!

I will attempt to make a very long winded review as short as possible. I have had dogs my entire life and for most of that time I was aware of pet insurance but I thought it was a bit of a scam, meaning that it really only paid for emergency type problems and that it was not worth the cost. Fast forward to May 2020 and I get a new puppy and the woman I am dating also has a dog and she tells me about Healthy Paws and how great it is. I get the insurance for my new puppy Ruby. Healthy Paws covers pretty much everything but exams, preventative medication (flea, tick, etc.) and vaccinations…. Everything else is covered.

We signed up for Healthy Paws insurance right after we rescued our puppy in October 2020. I did my research before deciding who to pick, and I am confident I made the right choice! Submitting claims is easy and the turnaround is quick. If you sign up for direct deposit, you get your money faster. I haven’t had any issues with claims being processed, and none of them have taken more than a few days. Customer service has been very helpful, and is available to answer questions quickly. I would definitely recommend Healthy Paws pet insurance.

We used Healthy Paws for health insurance for our Great Dane, Luna. We bought the insurance for her at birth and didn't use it for a few years, but then around age 4, she developed pneumonia, which required a short hospitalization and IV antibiotics. Then at age of 6, she tore her CCL. Healthy paws covered all of these treatments, a full CCL repair surgery (which is NOT cheap), AND her post surgery physical therapy. I've never encountered an insurance company that was so seamless and easy. Claims are processed quickly, and I've never been asked for extra documentation or had a denial. (Why can't human insurance be this easy?!) Luna is a happy and healthy girl now due to Healthy Paws. We will be using them for all future furry family members. :)

Our poor dog needed his dog equivalent to an ACL repaired. What should have been a relatively normal recovery turned into a nightmare. We ended up getting X-rays every month for the last 8 months, plus a couple pain management overnight stays. HealthyPaws not only processed our claims remarkably fast, but also sent us personalized emails checking in on his recovery. Well now that he’s had his third procedure we think he’s finally in the homestretch. Without HealthyPaws his suffering could have been much worse.

Upon a yearly checkup for my yorkie, Enzo, it was determined that his liver enzymes were sky high and bladder stones were found. Surgery had to be performed immediately. We were so blindsided by this news...but thank goodness we had Healthy Paws pet insurance to make sure our baby got the proper care and surgery he needed. Our cat Pepper broke his leg in December and needed surgery. It was a heartbroken time for us. I signed up for Healthy Paws after researching several companies. I felt safe in the fact they are rated as the number one pet insurance company. Several months after starting the policy for my senior cat she developed a mass. After 7 emails back and forth they denied the claim for her x-ray on the basis of a "pre-existing condition". According to all previous vet records and the annual exam she had within 30 days of beginning the policy this was not a pre-existing condition. Do not sign up with this company. They will give you a runaround and lie to not on claims.

My puppy was in the need of emergency care and exploratory abdominal surgery after finding her chewing on something that wasn't food or a toy. A piece of a broken glass bottle was suspected as being eaten. X-ray at our local vet's office showed 3 pieces of what was believed to be glass in her stomach. We are very happy with our insurance. This year, both of our dogs were found to have a fairly rare disease, and as it often happens, if a disease is rare, a diagnosis is not made quickly. At first, we went through a hospitalization of one and a long doctoring of both; then, after 5 months, we had to hospitalize again, this time with expensive tests, such as radiographs, CT, biopsies, and lab tests for both dogs. The situation was exasperated by the fact that the hospitalized one now had an acute onset of hepatolysis.

I purchased Healthy Paws insurance a few years ago, when we got a second dog. I read reviews and chose Healthy Paws based on them. I have not been disappointed! My dogs have been insured since 2017 with no reason to file any claims up until 2021 when I realized my three year old, extremely active dog, who goes everywhere with me, started developing a lame gait. While it was very subtle and she wasn't holding up her leg, I knew something was wrong. Fast forward to diagnostics and I was informed my dog has severe hip dysplasia in both hips and her quality of life was rapidly declining. This was not an option for me and I would never allow my dog to live in constant pain for something that had a solution.

When deciding to enroll in pet insurance, I was told that I have insurance for my home, my car, myself, so why wouldn't I have it for my pet? My 90 Ib lab had a TTA ACL surgery a month ago. I have had Healthy Paws for more than 5 years, since we got our Labrador puppy, Moose. I had never had pet insurance before and had also never had any huge medical bills, but I was worried that as Moose gets older something would come up that would be very costly. I had no idea that I would have to use this insurance 3 times in the last 5 years! Healthy Paws processes claims immediately and their coverage is great! Because of this insurance, just before Thanksgiving, I did not have to make a difficult decision regarding treatment of Moose for a terrible hemorrhagic gastroenteritis episode that was a life and death situation. My claim was processed in 4 days, over a holiday weekend yet, and the check will arrive before my credit card bill does.

We have had Healthypaws pet insurance for our Doberman a little over 5 years now and can't begin to tell you how satisfied we have been with them. We are very fortunate to have Healthypaws as our fur baby was diagnosed with a liver ailment requiring medication and test, and also she is experiencing an issue with one of her limbs that eventually required an MRI. Healthypaws has been there for us and we have never had an issue with them. We had another "leading" pet insurance company with our last Doberman and it was a very manual and time consuming process for each claim and it took about 3 weeks each time to eventually get a check. It is so easy to file a claim as all you do is take a photo of the invoice and in many cases the claim is processed same day and the money is deposited in your account the next.
