We have had Healthy Paws Insurance for all of our pups and have nothing but excellent service from them. They’ve covered everything they’ve promised to cover and have given us peace of mind when we needed it most. We would highly recommend Healthy Paws to insure your pets, they deliver!!!

We have had a good experience to date with Healthy Paws. The policy has covered what the policy documents state will be covered based on our submitted claims for our dog who needed TPLO surgery. Each claim has been processed within a reasonable time period with outcomes as expected based on policy documents. We'll be glad to renew our policy when up for renewal as our dogs are members of our family and we like the peace of mind of having a good insurance policy for them.

Brigham my 10-year-old Black Lab had her second TTA surgery. I submitted my paperwork using the Healthy Paws app and within days, had a payment. They make it so easy and are very fair with all of their policies. I can't imagine not having pet Insurance. Peace of mind is invaluable. Thank you again.

Price continues to go up and now received a notice that it’s going up again, this time from $71 to $162! Customer service is almost non-existent. They reject claims with no explanation and are impossible to reach. I needed to get confirmation about whether they would or would not cover a procedure. Refused to confirm if it would be covered, they said I would have to get the procedure done and then submit it to see if it would be approved. I tried for months to get help as I could not afford the procedure on my own and not one person would help. They are horrible.

I've read many negative reviews for Healthy Paws. I have come to the conclusion that you may be far better off contributing to your own "Pet savings account" in the financial markets. We currently hold two Healthy Paws policies. They are usually great out of the gate and then yearly price you out of any reasonable affordability due to "rising vet rates and any other excuse they can. I take responsibility for my pets by maintaining individual accounts since they were both puppies and yes we are still with Healthy Paws for the time being but the handwriting is on the wall. This is their business model and I think it should be regulated....My 2 cents.

Our dog has been with Healthy Paws insurance since 2019 and we are thrilled with their service. We used them first in California and now in Georgia. The customer service is fantastic and they process claims very quickly. Our dog recently needed a knee surgery and they have been amazing throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

HealthyPaws has made it incredibly easy to file claims for our dog when needed, and has covered some unexpected large bills which is very helpful. They are easy to work with and customer service is friendly. It has definitely been worth the (reasonable) monthly premium! I would highly recommend to any friend.

Beware of this company! I don’t understand how this company got such a good review rating on here. If you look at TrustPilot and other review sites you will see what a scam they are. The rates quoted here are not correct. Once your pet gets to 7 years old, they more than double your premium and continue to do so without explanation. We just got a email that our insurance for one Dog is going up from $80 a month to $170 a month. Our dog is healthy and we have claimed about five times in all these years. If you look at Yelp and Reddit, some customers are now being charged $1000 a month. They have turned off their Instagram comments for a reason.

In the last 14 months, we've incurred over $35,000 worth of medical bills for our dog (torn ACL + cancer). Because of HealthyPaws, we've not only been able to save our dog's life, but we've been able to give her all of the treatments that the doctor recommended. She even went to physical therapy! During stressful medical times, it's so nice to not have to focus on cost and instead just focus on your pet. HealthyPaws premiums have always been reasonable and they've always reimbursed us quickly. I couldn't recommend them more.

Our 5-year old dachshund has been through two very major surgeries and dozens of vet appointments and less serious procedures over the past few years, and not only has Healthy Paws helped with the financial burden, reimbursing within days, they've reached out to provide support as well. We recommend them to all of our friends and family who have all shared with us that their experience has been just as positive. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking to insure your pets!

I have had Healthy Paws insurance for my Bernedoodle Wallis since she was a young puppy. I had heard enough true stories of parents that had to make the difficult decision to save their pet or, or the awful choice of letting them go due to the cost of the medical procedures. We have been fortunate that Wallis has been healthy but she has had some medical issues resulting in costs well outside routine vet visits. Most recently Wallis required surgery. These costs are no different than the costs for a human and Healthy Paws covered the costs exactly like the policy I have with Healthy Paws.

Really disappointing experience with Healthy Paws. I've had insurance for 2 of my cats for over a a year now and never filed a claim. Just in the past month I've had some medical emergencies (each totalling ~$500 or so) and most of which were treatment and not examination related. I got automatic denials for the claims saying they were "treatment" related. Honestly, think they autoreject based on some shit rules/AI service and now I'm fighting to have the treatment portions (e.g. medications, fluids, xrays) properly reimbursed. Would not recommend - STAY AWAY.

I have 4 dogs and signed up three dogs 6 months, 1 year, and a 3 y/o dog. I did not sign up my 12 year old dog. The only significant history I was aware of, was that the 3 year old had torn her ACL one year prior to even signing her up. The one year old puppy was diagnosed with back leg deformity (bow legs) that were affecting the knees. Surgery to repair the bones and thus the knees was denied because on her 6 month exam. The vet noted he could dislocate the knee on one side and graded it 2/4. The other side was never diagnosed with a problem nor did any vet ever note that her bones were bowed in her back legs. The 3 year old dog tore the other ACL 6 months after enrollment and as you can imagine they don’t cover that either because the dog had a history of tearing the other side.

We had a bad experience with Healthy Paws. Their default reaction is to deny claims and then the reason they give through the app doesn't always match the reason they give on the phone. It's like they just spin a wheel or something. We left after 3 months and I wish we had tried a different company, because I saw bad reviews and just ignored them. You don't need to do that...

We have Healthy Paws insurance for our three cats, and we have had a great experience every time one of our cats has had a medical issue requiring us to file a claim. It's just a fact of modern pet ownership that veterinary care has become very costly in the last few years, and Healthy Paws has allowed us on several occasions to obtain necessary care for our cats. Most recently, our cat Marty had an ear hematoma, requiring expensive surgery because he was in a great deal of pain. Healthy Paws covered the entire cost of the surgery after our small annual deductible, and they processed our claim in less than a week. In the past, they covered bloodwork and imaging required to diagnose our other cat's IBD. I recommend them highly to anyone who owns pets.

The claims process was very easy, during a stressful time. Just uploaded the PDFs I got from vet in two clicks and submit. I also felt that the reimbursement amount given to me was fair and as-advertised. Neither of these are things I'm used to with insurance companies, usually so many hoops to jump through and less reimbursement than advertised.

We have had an excellent experience with Healthy Paws! We got this insurance when our dog was a puppy knowing that we just wanted peace of mind in the event of a major accident or illness. In the 8+ years that we’ve been carrying this coverage we have never had a claim denied. Recently our dog underwent a surgery for a torn cruciate ligament and Healthy Paws was as reliable as ever. The claim process is a breeze (love the app!), and we received our payout quickly and seamlessly. We are grateful!

I have had Healthy Paws Insurance for my dog for nearly 2 years. My dog just recently had a torn ACL (a CCL in dogs)-- This was major surgery. I was in awe at how fast (within 2 weeks) I was refunded from Healthy Paws. They covered 80% of a nearly $6000 surgery. They directly deposited the money into my account with no problem. Then they send me an email asking how he's doing. I am so grateful this company was recommended to me by a friend!

Our dog required two hip surgeries. As the policy read they deducted the deductible amount and paid 80% of the balance. I was a little surprised how fast we got paid as we were paid within a week of filing both claims. I am so glad we had the insurance as i don't know if we could of afforded the surgeries.

The website and application are very easy to use. There is good coverage of unexpected expenses. They seem to truly care about the well being of my pet. There are also quick to respond to submissions or questions and very easy to communicate with. Overall positive things to say about the pet insurance. They reached out after a surgery and expressed concern. Didn't need, but nice that they did.

To Whom It May Concern, I brought home a sweet Havanese puppy named Peanut from a local breeder who had been breeding for over 30 years. We instantly fell in love with him. Although, I was initially unsure about getting pet insurance, I ultimately decided to move forward with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and I’m so glad I did!

We didn't know what was wrong with him but he was limping and stiff and lethargic, and it was getting worse. It turns out the vet had to do lots of (expensive) testing but they found out that he had TWO tick-borne illnesses! We would never have known if we hadn't been able to get the blood tests. Healthy Paws helped cover the costs, the process is so easy via the app, and Wally is already feeling tons better and on the road to recover and returning to his sweet silly self. I just left this review on Trustpilot too, but wanted to post here as well. I cannot adequately express how much I love Healthy Paws. My little girl has been to hell and back. TPLO. Bloat. Spinal surgery that otherwise would have left her paralyzed. Recurring monthly shots for arthritis. Tumor removal, underwater treadmill physical therapy, and a million other things, and just today a spiral fracture in her femur. Healthy Paws has paid out over $25,000, and the reimbursements always it turn around in a few days. Plus the peace of mind of knowing that I'll never have to consider the cost of service if she needs it? Even for $6,000 MRIs? Priceless. I have never been so happy to pay a monthly premium. I have heard from others about their pet insurance being awful, and I always recommend Healthy Paws! I have the plan with a low deductible that covers 90% of eligible costs. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made!

It is my pleasure to highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet insurance. They provide many customizable plans from which to choose, with clear benefit descriptions, easy and timely claims processing, and rapid reimbursement. Our 8-year old yellow lab was recently diagnosed with a malignant nasal tumor, which required costly testing to confirm the diagnosis. It was less than 2 weeks from time of claims submission until I received a reimbursement. No questions asked, particularly at such a stressful time!

They have been an amazing partner in Duke’s treatment! Once I had the paperwork from the vet I needed, filing a claim with Healthy Paws and receiving reimbursement was seamless. This organization is caring and compassionate about dogs and it shows in how they deal with dog parents. If it wasn’t for their support during my boy Duke’s journey I am not sure where we would be right now. It’s truly a blessing Duke is happy, playful, strong and definitely a joy in our lives. I have been using Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for over 5 years . It’s so easy to submit the claims and get an explanation on what’s covered and what’s not. They are true to their policy and pay promptly. I have referred them to friends which are also very satisfied. They always follow up and check on your pet after a claim.

On 12/14/24, our Labrador Retriever, Remi was hit by a car and had some major damage to her rear leg. She's had two major surgeries and if I hadn't had pet insurance I most definitely would've had to put her down. The cost was prohibitive! With my plan, they paid 90% of the cost subject to the $250 deductible and they pay quickly. Their website is so easy to maneuver too. Highly recommend!
