Exceedingly pleased with our experience! We have had other pet insurance in the past which left us confused and disappointed with our coverage and the customer service interaction. Healthy Paws communication was very clear and caring. We are most happy with the claim process and the ease and promptness of reimbursement!

I’ve submitted 19 claims for meds purchased through 1800PetMeds over the past 14 months without an issue. Until last month. Now Healthy Paws won’t process claims if the invoice is from 1800PetMeds and they aren’t disclosing what the issue is with the invoices. I’m wondering if they’re doing this on purpose because my dog is older and has a lot of claims. I guess they think if they stall on the claims and don’t reimburse me, I won’t be able to pay for his treatments and he’ll die sooner. Healthy Paws used to be a good company but since they were bought out, their services have gone downhill.

Our 4-month old puppy recently had an unexpected and unexplained medical emergency, which necessitated several overnight stays in the hospital as well as much testing and lab work. We were understandably anxious about the outcome and are relieved to have our puppy back regaining her strength and health. We are so thankful to Healthy Paws for the ease of the claims process as well as the knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate customer service representatives. My questions were always answered thoroughly and accurately, and our claims review process was quick and efficient. It gives us much peace of mind to have Healthy Paws and I am so grateful to the many friends and to our veterinarian who recommended this service. Definitely 5 stars!

I have been a customer for over a decade. The process to file claims has always been fast and easy. Repayment has always been pretty quick (a week is slow for them). What is really remarkable is how easy things were when going to multiple vets to discover my dog has cancer. The expensive tests and procedures to determine them at one vet, radiation therapy at another vet, and chemotherapy at another vet. All of this was easy to file and reimbursed without any fighting. I wish people's health insurance was as good and easy as this. Over the years too my dog has had other issues and as promised the rates have not increased due to incidents.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has proven once again, to me, that they care for my fur babies, through their timely processing of my claims, and their follow through on the health of my dog. I am extremely pleased so far with the customer service, and will continue to rely on them for my pet insurance needs.

Overall, my experience with Healthy Paws insurance has been a positive one. Everything has been pretty simple to use and very clear understanding. Only one time did I have an issue with a mistake on my claim but once I made a phone call the individual had it resolved within a couple days. This insurance cover so much and I haven’t had any issues with no coverage other than the things that are listed in the guidelines. Great customer service and reimbursements are done in a timely manner of about a week. Highly recommend to anyone.

They have a Quick response time with very fast turn around for refunds on coverage. It’s a super Easy app to navigate and submit claims. Nice, professional people who are very helpful on the phone to explain questions. Direct deposit posts very quickly.

After reviewing a few pet insurances, we decided to go with Healthy Paws and are really happy we did. Of all the pet insurance companies we looked into, their rate was the best. Enrolling was very easy and submitting claims is even easier. They are very quick to review and process their claims, and sends you updates when the status of the claim has changed. The reimbursement is prompt and hassle-free - It went right into the account that I set up. We are very happy that we chose Healthy Paws!

I have had Healthy Paws for YEARS. In the past I have rated them 5/5 and had claims processed quickly and any issues handled swiftly. Customer service was second to none. Until my pet passed away.... My dog passed away on the 16th of the month, I notified HP right away. I filed a claim for the cremation expenses, as covered by her medical condition. They still took out my premium on the 21st and have not processed my claim. I understand that things happen - however my communications with them have been less than helpful. The first time I emailed, they said it would be taken care of in a timely manner. 7 days go by, so I call customer service. They proceed to tell me that my claim will be processed on the 25th and my account will be closed and they will refund my premium.

So far, I am very pleased with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. My puppy, unfortunately, was diagnosed with copper storage disease, and has required more extensive testing and care than would typically be expected. To date, Healthy Paws has appropriately covered the expenses WITHOUT MAKING ME JUMP THROUGH A NUMER OF HOOPS or file any appeals. Additionally, their app makes it easy to submit claims and they pay in a timely manner. I recommend.

Healthy Paws has provided me the financial means to pursue treatment for my four legged boy that I would not have without them. I purchased Healthy Paws insurance years ago specifically for times like now where I never wanted money to be why I couldn't care for my dog. I can't recommend enough. Very simple claims process as well.

Excellent customer service -- very responsive and timely. Fair and thorough -- explained very well -- have no complaints -- pricing is very affordable and forms to be filled out are easy and simple enough to understand. All in all, good value for money.

I'm using this insurance for my adopted dog since 2016 and I'm very satisfied with it. My submitted claims always processed in timely matter. I get notifications by email about process of the claims and the results. If claim is eligible for reimbursement, I receive the checks on time. Now, when my dog has some medical issues, this insurance helps me to pay for his treatment. I always recommend it to my friends.

I have had Healthy Paws since 2017 and have had only a positive experience with them. My dog, Faith, was a rescue and came from an abusive situation at just 6 months. Unfortunately as she’s grown older (she’s turning 7 this year) from the trauma and abuse she experienced, she has needed surgeries which were all covered and I never once felt as though my claims would be denied or there would be any issue getting them processed. Communicating with customer service has always been great and I always recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who is adopting a new family member.

My husband and I debated purchasing pet insurance for our German Shepherd Husky Mix. But, that quickly changed when we had to come out of pocket almost $3,000 for an ER visit when she was 2. Since then (she's now 11) this insurance has paid for itself! It is extremely easy to submit claims and reimbursement occurs within days. I highly recommend Healthy Paws!

I am so thankful to have Healthy Paws pet insurance for my little dog who has had to undergo two surgeries to repair torn ligaments in both of her rear legs. My plan with Healthy Paws covered both of these surgeries and I received prompt reimbursement. My monthly premium, annual deductible and co-pay are all very reasonable.

This is the first time I have ever had pet insurance. I’ve had dogs my entire adulthood. I now have three active purebred dogs ranging in age from three to down to nine months. All of my dogs have been adopted or fostered. For some reason after I adopted second one, when the veterinarian asked me if I had pet insurance, and I said, no, I went home and started researching. All of my other dogs have been quiet toy breeds, but these three are pretty wild and crazy. I always thought pet insurance was kind of a waste of money to be honest. I had heard some stories in which pet insurance just didn’t really pay anything or that there was a huge deductible, etc. When I got home from the vet, I started doing some research and landed on Healthy Paws Pet Insurance because of the deductible, premiums and no lifetime maximums.

I have been a customer for eight years now, and I have to say that Healthy Paws has provided us with an outstanding experience! Their monthly rates are fair, their coverage is thorough and clear, and the payment turnaround time is amazingly fast. Recently, my dog has been dealing with chronic allergy issues, and rather than contacting us and hassling us, the company actually checked in to see how she was doing, and provided us with some useful links if we had any questions. Two years ago, when our previous dog passed away, they were very kind when we had to cancel the policy. Every interaction I’ve ever had with Healthy Paws has been positive… I just wish insurance for humans was this easy and pleasant as well. When I have had a question, their staff respond promptly, clearly, and thoroughly.

Healthy Paws has been a breeze to work with since Day 1. We covered our dog as soon as she was adopted and have had it for the last three years. Over the years, she has gotten into a few mishaps due to eating things she shouldn't, and it's been such a simple process to 1) upload the invoices from the vets/medical centers she's gotten treatment at, 2) receive Direct Deposit reimbursement for covered services in just a few days. While we still do need to pay out of pocket due to the deductible, coinsurance, and vet exams not being covered, we are seeing the value of our coverage every year!

I have a Healthy Paws policy that reimburses 90% of covered expenses after a $500 deductible. My dog ingested something that caused a blockage in his intestines and nearly killed him. It required the services of an internal medicine specialist who performed surgery and was able to remove the blockage. He had multiple complications and was hospitalized for nearly a week. Ultimately, the charges were over $22k. Healthy Paws reimbursed me for 90% of the covered expenses, just like it was supposed to work. If I didn't have Healthy Paws, I would not have been able to afford the care I needed. The company was very responsive throughout the process and the reimbursement is in my bank account before my credit card bill is due.

We are very happy with the service provided by Healthy Paws. The claims process and the app were very easy to navigate. The insurance is worth every penny. We’ve had two instances of needing the insurance and Healthy Paws was quick to process and pay out the claims. They also checked in on how our dog was doing. This has probably been the best insurance process I’ve been through with any type of insurance.

Healthy Paws has been amazing every time I have had to use them. Very fast review and payment for claims. I would highly recommend them to other pet owners out there. One of my fur babies needed surgery for a torn ACL and Healthy Paws was there every step of the way.

This company is the worse. I had nothing bad to say about them until my dog actually needed their insurance. My dog is nearly 12 years old. I have used the insurance a couple of times for minor things (cut paw, etc.) for over 10 YEARS. My dog needed emergency surgery due to crystals that had formed in his bladder and plugged his urethra. He would have died without it. He had to stay in the ICU for 2 days and then 1 more day for observation. Everything cost approximately $6000. I have their 90% coverage and paid $600 for the service.

I've had Healthy Paws insurance for 6 years, and my experience has generally been great. They recently paid several thousand dollars for a surgery within just 2 days of me submitting the claim. My dog also had surgery for a torn ccl about a year ago, and they paid for the surgery plus all his rehab. Most of my claims are approved within a day, some even the same day. I've been very happy with the insurance.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is worth it. It is not that expensive per month and really comes in handy. My 1 year old puppy was very sick, and after numerous trips to the vet and emergency vet room, we found out she would need life saving surgery to remove something from her small intestines. What would have costed us ~$14,000 only ended up costing us ~$3,000. Not only is it worth it for saving money, but the support we received from all who helped was phenomenal. They assisted us fanatic pet owners in submitting our claims properly and fixing what we needed to fix. The claims came through a lot quicker than expected (a few days or a weeks vs a couple months like we expected). After all was said and done, there was a follow up email asking how our dog was doing. They also even checked in on our other two pets. It wasn’t an automated message, but from a real human. That aspect alone makes it worth it. I HIGHLY recommend.

HIGHLY Recommend!! I have had Healthy Paws for both my cats for 3 years now. I find it very easy to submit claims online to them and their response is very quick for processing and reimbursement. If there is ever an issue or question with the invoice I submit, they reach out right away and it is solved very quickly. They have been extremely helpful and useful throughout my cats lives especially with my Sphynx who has had many unexpected health problems.

Quick reimbursement and claim time with amazing staff! Never had any issues! Easy to understand and very easy to use APP and website with very competitive rates! Genuinely good company that I would 10/10 recommend! Takes a lot of the stress and worry out of scary situations knowing they’re a part of our family and team.

Healthy Paws is an excellent pet insurance provider. They are very quick to process claims, and I find their explanations of benefits clear and straightforward. The insurance has saved us many times from having to foot a massive bill, and their customer service is typically extremely pleasant to deal with if a problem arises.

I cannot say enough good things about HealthyPaws. I have been using them since my last pet (australian shepherd - Pepsi) and now with my 2 mutts (Fitzgerald and Hemingway). They are quick, effective, always provide clear explanation of what is covered and not covered and super quick to reimburse you on your vet visit. Most claims are usually reviewed, covered and closed within a week and hardly do I get any pushback from them. They have removed any financial worry especially when it comes to something drastic happening to my two dogs. They are simply the best.

I have had a Healthy Paws plan for approximately 7 years. I have found the rates to be reasonable. They have even decreased some years. I recently made a claim and was reimbursed according to my plan. The process was simple and fast. I highly recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with Healthy Paws!!! My 3.5 year old dog had a major health emergency that cost thousands. Healthy paws reimbursed me exactly according to my policy quickly (truly within a day or two of submitting a claim) and without any issues. It was such a relief to not worry about cost when I was really worried about my sick pet!

If it wasn't for the fact both my dogs have health problems, I'd be switching. They have jacked up my rates so much in the last 4 years. Based off of the insurance needs in my living area. On top of that, they are stupid in the billing and reimbursement center. Every time I submit something they mess it up and I have to fight with them for weeks!! I hate this company.

I've been a Healthy Paws customer for years, and I've always found them to be fast and efficient when processing claims. They even follow up to see how your pet is doing. You don't want to have to use them, but you sure are glad to have them when you need them!

I was very excited to finally have a dog of my own when I brought home Hercules in January of 2022. There were so many great joys that I was not prepared for, and it’s been one of the best decisions of my life. Given how important Herc is to me, I quickly realized how important it would be to have pet insurance ready to go to ensure that I would be able to always provide him with the best care possible while managing as much of the worry that can be associated with that. Healthy Paws was recommended by a friend and quickly proved to be a top option amongst other policies that I compared it to.

I got pet insurance knowing that I never wanted to make the choice between my dog's health and my finances. Healthy Paws has been so easy to submit claims, quick to send out reimbursements, and coverage was easy to understand. While my monthly premium has gone up (close to double over the almost 6 years of coverage), it has definitely been worth it! Just recently my dog needed TPLO surgery for a torn CCL, which cost nearly $6,000. We were reimbursed at 90% less than 1 week after submitting the claim, with no confusion as to what was covered and no effort beyond submitting the vet's invoice! Even with the monthly premium where it is, it would've taken 8 years to match the cost of that surgery, so it has definitely been worth it! I highly recommend them!

Healthy Paws has been there for my baby each and every time he had an emergency. Thankfully, Jack is a healthy little Cavapoo, but we had two incidents with his tummy last year and I am so grateful to Healthy Paws for helping with the expenses. They even checked in shortly after to make sure he was feeling better. I only wish they provided people insurance.

After not having insurance for our Riley dog when he went through Chemo, we decided we would have it for our next dog. Josie has been in our family for 5 years now. We hadn't filed a claim until she needed surgery when she tore her PCL. The surgery costs put a major hit on our budget, but then our insurance covered the vast majority which is amazing. We couldn't be more thankful for the coverage and support from HealthyPaws. They even sent a follow-up email to make sure she was recovering well.

Very thankful to have afforded to get my golden retriever “Bear” the surgery he needed because I carry Healthy Paws insurance. The surgery was very expensive. They were very timely in processing and reimbursing us. I rate them a five star.

Heathy Paws has been top notch when processing our claim and truly stole my heart when they kept checking up on my sweet Luna, after her surgery. Boudreaux, 3 1/2 years old, is our 5th golden retriever over the past 40 years. We never purchased pet insurance before this one. The reason, our previous golden developed Osteosarcoma at age 8 and required hospitalization and an amputation - very expensive and heartbreaking. He died 6 months later - way too young. We got Boudreaux as a pup and signed him up for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. When he was about 4 months old, he developed a bowel obstruction from eating kelp during a trip to the beach. He required emergency surgery which saved his life. The Healthy Paws online claim process was efficient and clearly delineated. Just 3 weeks ago he became lethargic and developed a fever.

After having Healthy paws for 5 years without much of a need for them, my dog began having spinal issues and IVDD surgery twice which I was billed $9k each time! The first time expensing it to Healthy Paws was a little bit of an effort since they do need the official full historical report from your vet before paying anything out. However, the second time was seamless--I had made 5 easy claims up to the point of the surgery and they quickly paid me out each time, all they need is the official invoices.

I cannot recommend Healthy Paws enough, they covered exactly what they said they would and the $$ came in less than 2 weeks. So worth the monthly payment! I was hesitant to buy insurance thinking it was a scam but 3 other friends use this plan and we all have had a great experience.

Our otherwise healthy kitty had a big medical emergency requiring expensive surgery. Healthy Paws made it easy to file the claims and we received reimbursement checks quickly and without issue. I'm so glad we had Healthy Paws insurance! The monthly premium is very reasonable too. Highly recommend.

Horrible experience. My pet has had that insurance for 3 years+ and I have never had to file a claim. Had to take her to an emergency clinic because I though she swallowed something and it got stocked in her throat. After all the procedures they did and $5000.00 later she had Laryngitis. Very swollen red throat and had her on steroids and antibiotics. When I sent the bill to the claims dept they kept asking for more information from her regular vet. When you get insurance thru them you have to submit that she did not have a previous condition to get the insurance which I submitted.

My 4 yo Active healthy Irish Setter suddenly couldn’t breathe. We took him to an Emergency Vet Hospital and he was found to have a collapsed lung. After treatment and surgery to save his life the bill was a little over $11,000 dollars. Thank God for Healthy Paws. I sent them all the information they requested and after a very reasonable time I got a check for approximately 80% of the bill. I would of paid anything to save him but Healthy Paws made it more manageable. You never know what can happen, pet insurance is very important!

My standard poodle Wilson had some very expensive health issues. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. When I got Wilson I knew pet insurance would be a must. Healthy Paws was a reasonably priced, straightforward plan and I bought it. Here’s what I was impressed with: the claim form is quick and easy to submit, Healthy Paws responded very promptly to the submitted claim, everything was handled by email, and my claim was paid directly into my bank account in a very timely manner. When your animal isn’t well, the last thing you want to do is fight for what you need or deal with paperwork and delays. Healthy Paws supported us during a hard week, and I’m very grateful.

My dog Loki ended up in the hospital. The Healthy paws insurance took such a great care of everything. Processing my claim and checking in with me on Loki recovery. I am very thankful for their service. Great insurance company.

Healthy Paws is incredibly easy to work with. They reimburse medical bills at a high rate, and do so very quickly. They have been amazing at reimbursing for all covered services and we continue to feel safer knowing we have our pets covered. Would recommend them to everyone with a beloved pet.

When I adopted my rescue pup, I wanted to get insurance since he's little and could very easily be hurt by a large dog, car, etc. I hadn't had any major issues with him in the first couple years, but then he decided to eat a large amount of plastic a couple of weeks ago, which required surgery to extract. HealthyPaws quickly approved and reimbursed my claims within just a few days of me submitting invoices and medical records! It was a very easy process, and the cost of coverage is reasonable, especially compared to some other plans I looked into. I have recommended HealthyPaws to several friends! (And my baby is doing very well; I doubt he learned any lessons from this, but I sure have!)

PollyAnna recently became lethargic with profuse sneezing. She underwent a Rhineoscopy to look for a foreign body or tumor. Testing was done to rule out a fungus infection. We are awaiting results. PollyAnna was put on a steroid to help with the extreme inflammation observed during the procedure. As always Healthy Paws was very good about paying on the claim...no Hassle. They were very prompt!

Definitely the easiest pet insurance company I've worked with. Claims get processed super quickly and with minimal fuss. Easy to understand premiums and limitations. I've had multiple claims paid out quickly and they don't needle you or try to wriggle out of claims (looking at you, Lemonade).

The claim filing process is simple. The communication is excellent and the personal touch of checking on in the well being of Rosie, post surgery, while unexpected, was wonderful! Healthy Paws is by far and away the best pet insurance!

I've been a policyholder with Healthy Paws for two years. I opted for the policy for injury/illness as I've found with prior dogs these are the most costly health issues. My shihtzu was recently diagnosed with mast cell tumor and resultant surgery to remove. Healthy Paws processed my claim quickly and efficiently. I'm so grateful to have them.

My experience with Healthy Paws could not have been easier. My dog had back surgery and all I had to do is upload the. Billing receipts and was paid within a few weeks! After fighting with Tavel insurance for 11 months to get a claim paid, this quick turn around is truly phenomenal. Everything was explained well and was easy to understand. I highly recommend!

When we got our bichon as a pup the first thing we did was visit our vet and the 2nd thing was sign up for Healthy Paws, hoping we would never have to use it. At 6 yrs, he suffered a devastating spine injury requiring surgery. Healthy Paws was there every step of the way, professional, caring, helpful! Would 10/10 recommend for all pet owners.

I have been with Healthy Paws for many years. My dog is 12 years old and has been insured since she was one year old. The various policies have been bought and sold between companies and we ended up with Healthy Paws many years ago. Two months ago I received an email that my premiums would double from approximately $75 to $150 a month. I see this as a convenient way to price owners out of the market when their pets get older. Notwithstanding they had no problem taking my money for the other years and then simply price you out when you get to the place in time when you are more likely to use the policy. Pretty unethical and shameful if you ask me.

I used two other pet insurance companies (both for cats) before settling on Healthy Paws for our new cat, and I would not use either of them again after having Healthy Paws for several years. Healthy Paws does require that you pay the vet bill up front, then submit the claim with all the required information and payment receipt, but Healthy Paws has always processed my claims promptly, and within the rules of the policy. Over my several years of using Healthy Paws, I’ve had to call customer service two or three times to get clarification on something, and the rep was always easy to understand, knowledgeable, polite, and professional. I would definitely recommend Healthy Paws for your pet insurance provider.

Healthy Paws has not been my first pet insurance company so I do have some experience in the past with other insurance companies. Healthy Paws in my opinion is good with their customer service. They process your claims expeditiously, accurate and efficiently. Although monthly premiums can be high, it all depends on how much deductible you are comfortable with and set the reimbursement level for your claims. This will be calculated to how much your monthly fees are. It's quite customable! My only dislike is that eventually the monthly fees do rise but it's somewhat understandable. They are a top notch company who seems to care about their pet customers. Keep up the good work, Healthy Paws!!!

Our 4 year old dog needed unexpected major back surgery and Healthy Paws was there when we needed it! Truly a lifesaver! Claims process was easy and fast. Healthy Paws Pet Ins was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

I am so grateful to have chosen Healthy Paws as my dog's insurance policy company. My dog started to limp at a very young age and a few months after extensive imaging was diagnosed with Elbow Dysplasia and needed to get surgery. Healthy Paws and their customer service was and continues to be absolutely impeccable. They always review the claims within 2-3 days, keep you updated with every step of the process, and will let you know once the claim has been reviewed and completed.

Healthy Paws is wonderful. We have filed several times and are very pleased. This last time we received a follow-up inquiry as to our pet's recovery from surgery. We have been with other insurers over the years. Healthy Paws is by far the best.

As a veterinarian, I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. The claims process is as inefficient as it possibly can be; each time I have made a claim, I have had to submit the records three to four times in addition to having my veterinarian submit the records separately. This is a waste of my time and my veterinarian's. The company only communicates with automated emails and do not provide any information specific to my needs. The customer service staff is surprisingly incompetent and incredibly challenging to reach via email or phone. The pricing is unreasonable compared to other insurance companies. I would strongly encourage any pet owner to purchase insurance from another company.

I have a 9 year old rescue dog that has been covered through Healthy Paws since her adoption about 5 years ago. Since then she has been diagnosed with several mast cell tumors, myeloma, arthritis, and glaucoma, resulting in lots of vet visits, medications and surgeries. Throughout everything Healthy Paws has been very easy to work with in submitting a claim, quick in responding, and easy to understand in terms of what is covered and what is not. I'm so grateful to have pet insurance and Healthy Paws has saved me lots of money, and made me feel more comfortable in getting my pet the best healthcare!

Thank you Healthy Paws for your awesome Insurance. It has been a blessing for my chihuahua Kiki & me to have your INsurance since Dec 2020. My earlier claims were just basic health care for Kiki. Filing claim are easy, service is excellent. Best of all, reimbursements are prom & without hassle. In August, 2022, Kiki has major surgery for his knee, the cost without Insurance would be prohibited. Fortunately, with Healthy Paws Insurance, Kiki was able to have surgery, the reimbursement for significantly amount was also prompt & without hassle. I strongly recommend Health Paws for all pet owners.

My pup was diagnosed with mast cell cancer and needed surgery to remove the masses. Have had Healthy Paws since I brought my girl home 4 years ago. While sad at the diagnosis..Was so grateful to have Healthy Paws. All claims were easy to submit and quickly worked.

Healthy Paws pet insurance has been a godsend. Our puppy recently had emergency surgery and was in the hospital for several nights. When all was said and done, the bill was over $4000. Healthy Paws paid 80% of her bill and our reimbursement was deposited into our account within 7 business days. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their customer service is amazing and they have followed up several times to see how our puppy is doing. If you’re considering pet insurance, Healthy Paws is the way to go.

Of my cats recently decided to ingest a felt string with a thin wire inside. We took him to the Emergency Vet and an ultrasound confirmed that the string was still inside his stomach. Luckily they were able to remove using an endoscopy procedure. The total cost was over $3,000. I paid up front but thank goodness I have Healthy Paws pet insurance. I submitted my claim with all medical history and felt confident that Healthy Paws would take care of it. The claim was resolved with a couple of weeks and I was reimbursed directly into my account. Having Healthy Paws for my 3 cats gives me peace of mind for exactly a situation like this and helps alleviate much of the stress. I would highly recommend to any pet parent. The other thing that really touched was an email I received a few weeks after inquiring how my cat was doing. As a pet parent this small act of kindness really touched me. Healthy Paws is quick with their paperwork and turnaround time. Sadly, after year three, you will begin to see MASSIVE INCREASES $$ in their premiums. Each year after that you can expect to see more added. 6 years ago I was at $34 per month, as of next month it will be $65. I have had two minor claims that were paid for by my deductible. There is no regulation and these people will just get you in, then as your beast starts to age, you won't want to pull out. It is manipulative and quite unfair. But I can't start over somewhere else.

I just want to say how thankful I am that I have pet insurance with Healthy Paws. My pup had to have a major procedure to remove a cancerous mass from her cheek. She is only two and I was devastated. The fact that I had great coverage with Healthy Paws allowed me to make all the right decisions for my young dog without having to worry about the financial implications. She is healing nicely. I would never have a pet without insuring them with Healthy Paws.

My German Shepherd Cash has been covered by Healthy Paws for over 6 years now. They have been a great company for years, paying for his monthly allergy medication, etc. Clams have always been paid quickly and fully - based on our coverage. But recently, Cash got very ill with pancreatitis. He was at our vet 2-3 times getting fluids, and tests to determine what was wrong. He had to go to a specialty emergency animal hospital for 3 nights - getting more and more tests, IVs, feeding tube, ultrasounds, etc. We almost lost him and it was so stressful for us. It was very expensive and we had to keep authorizing funds daily.

My husband and I picked HealthyPaws for our insurance for our dog, Herc, as soon as we got him from the rescue that saved him almost five years ago. It was one of the best decisions we made when it came to looking out for our furry family member. I would recommend Healthy Paws to furry baby parents who are looking for good insurance or thinking of getting one. I got my Bichon puppy from an AKC heart-rated breeder and expected him to be healthy. I did the internet search for pet insurance and chose healthy paws when he was 3-month. Now he is 2-year and is diagnosed with luxation patella. A surgery fix was suggested by the vet and the cost was around 3K. I can't tell you how frustrated I'm to hear this news. I did a lot of work to find a well-rated breeder and chose the almost most expensive one, but my baby still suffers from a health problem.

My husband & I are both retired, & the cost of surgery to repair our dog's 2 torn CCLs would likely have been prohibitive for us. Healthy Paws has been nothing short of amazing for our dog Teddy. This was our first pet we had insured and it was mainly only done due to hip dysplasia worries. We enrolled him as soon as we got him in 2015. Teddy is an Akita/German Shepherd mix and past experiences with dogs that big have always had arthritis and hip issues down the road. So we enrolled him in 2015 on the 90% coverage, $100 annual deductible plan. It has been a literal lifesaver for him and our family and likely one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.

When I first got my dog, we were with another insurance company and it was a hassle in terms of getting claims to them and even more so for reimbursement. We switched to Healthy Paws in 2013, and they have been really amazing. Great customer service reps and an easy to use app and website, can upload invoices from your phone and quick to reimburse. The no lifetime limit is also a big one for me, as my dog is older and I don't want to be stressing about vet bills if it means saving his life or making him more comfortable. He's recently had fairly major surgery for a dog his age and knowing that we reached our deductible and will be covered at 70% took much of the financial strain off my plate.

My dog was very sick and I was forced to file a claim.. Healthy Paws did everything I requested to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company. Customer Service was very helpful and friendly. I received my refund in an excellent, timely manner.

Find another pet insurance company. The facts on their website are wrong. They state they cover diagnostic testing and prescriptions, but I just had two claims denied for both of these things. I asked why and emailed FOUR TIMES with no response. They only stated that "exam fees are not covered." Well... testing and prescriptions should be according to their site. The only way to get a response from this joke of a company is to open a BBB complaint. This company is a waste of money and a scam! They do not make good on their policy agreements and will find any reason to deny your claim. I have opened three claims and my experience was the same for all three - I only got a response AFTER I opened a BBB complaint on them.

Healthy Paws is an excellent provider for pet insurance. My dog recently had a major surgery, TPLO, which was very stressful and expensive. Being insured by Healthy paws made the process as easy as possible. They processed my claim very quickly and issued the reimbursement immediately. Also, they seem to really care about the well being of my dog as they followed up to see how her recovery was going. I highly recommend Healthy Paws!!

My dog recently underwent TPLO surgery (Aug 2022), which as anyone who has gone through this, can be quite costly. Thank goodness many years ago I chose Healthy Paws for my pet’s health insurance. I filed a claim, which was processed exactly as stated in the policy, and without any stress. These situations with our fur-babies are stressful enough, as it is. I couldn’t be more pleased with Healthy Paws. I have recommended them for pet insurance throughout the years, as they are responsive, and hassle-free.

I have two dogs both two now. When we got the pups they were healthy babies. 3 surgeries later on their ACL's and one more ACL to go. Plus one unexpected emergent surgery. Healthy Paws never gives an issue and Reimburses quickly. I cannot imagine where I would be without their help.

Wow, I can’t say enough how amazing my experiences have been with Healthy Paws since I’ve had Petunia. After just one or two minor hiccups her first few years, a few weeks ago really was life or death. After emergency vet care, for several hours wasn’t sure if she’d even make it through for a 5 year old dog. But against all odds, she did. Petunia is doing amazing- recovering very well, acting like herself again. I am a single female, who rescued a female pitbull. She is the sweetest girl, little did I realize had more of a fan club than most humans I know. So many have been asking and following up about her. I couldn’t be more thankful that I had Healthy Paws to fall back on for financial support. I have been urging friends and family with furry ones to join, if they hadn’t already. The quick responses, claim reviews, and reimbursement is truly applaudable. If only human insurance was so efficient!!

Please, if you care about your pet's health, do not use this company. I've been going back and forth with them for two months trying to get reimbursed for my dog's pneumonia bills. Three vet clinics have sent my dog's records to Healthy Paws multiple times, but they just keep requesting the same records over and over until they cancel the claim. This is a borderline fraudulent business. Their communication is terrible, and they make fining a claim impossible. Shop for insurance somewhere else. I'll be switching to another company.

If you are on the fence about which insurance to get, get Healthy Paws. We have had HealthPaws for both of our pups for over seven years. This review is long overdue. When our 13-year-old puggle became suddenly ill, knowing we could focus on her and not have the weight of how much an emergency hospitalization was so helpful. From a business perspective, HealthyPaws has always reviewed the claims quickly and made payment in less than 10 business days (usually much faster), which is amazing.

My husband and I have two rescue dogs, Bear and Layla. Layla had had very few accidents and illnesses over the years but Bear has more than made up for that! We would do anything to keep him healthy and happy, but we would go into debt taking care of him if not for Healthy paws. We receive our claim reimbursement within a week of our initial cost, and the team at healthy paws even reaches out to make sure he is doing well. I recommend pet insurance in general to all pet owners I know, and healthy paws is definitely the best in my book!

From a kidney infection with one dog that required hospitalization to knee surgery with another dog and rehab therapy, Healthy Paws covered everything! Not only did they cover all of the medical bills, to make it possible to keep my dogs healthy and happy, their reimbursement timeframe was less than a week. If only my own health insurance could be this outstanding! I highly recommend this insurance company to anyone who has a pet. You never know when you’re going to be hit with an outstanding hospital or emergency room bill and Healthy Paws will help ease some of the stress of that experience.

We’ve been a Healthy Paws customer for 3 years. We live in the country with a big dog who runs around a lot. He’s had a couple of injuries (needed ligament surgery) and healthy paws has always paid the claims in a fast and efficient manner. Their customer service people are friendly and helpful.

So grateful and thankful for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. We have had this policy since our dog was a puppy and are so thankful Healthy Paws is always there when we need them. We typically meet our deductible most years with our Bernese Mountain Dog, but most recently we had a scare with diarrhea/vomiting/loss of appetite/lethargy and refusal of water. His liver enzymes were > 3000 (normal is < 120). He was hospitalized for 4 nights and had his gallbladder removed. Healthy Paws covered 90% of our bill after meeting our deductible. I have been using Healthy Paws for my two English Bulldogs for the past 6 years and they have been nothing short of amazing. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and my two are no exception. Once I hit my annual deductible, Healthy Paws covers 90% of most of our vet bills which has helped me tremendously on numerous occasions. They are super quick to complete my claims and reimburse me almost immediately. If I ever have a problem or dispute with any of my claims they listen to my concerns and even reversed a denied claim for me when realizing that there was an error. They are reliable, honest, friendly and extremely accommodating and I couldn't recommend them more! I sleep better at night knowing that no matter what, my fur babies are in good "paws." :)

We have a healthy 4-year-old dog and we decided since he was a puppy to obtain pet insurance for him. The unexpected happened when he was stung by a bee and went into shock. The emergency hospital bill was VERY expensive and Healthy Paws covered 80% of the total (as per our policy). The funds arrived within 10 days of the submission of the hospital invoice. No questions asked, very responsive.

We bought pet insurance from Healthy Paws right when we picked up our puppy a few years ago. Some people do not think it is worth the cost, but I can say that yes it is! We recently ran into the situation where our pup had to have a growth removed, and Healthy Paws took care of the claim without asking for ridiculous things or stalling. We provided the documentation and they upheld their end. We have had to file a number of claims through them with the surgery etc and everything has gone very smooth. I highly recommend them!

Our 4 year old beagle somehow hurt his neck. A herniated disc pressing on his spine. We tried medication but it did not work. He was in absolute agony. On the advice of our vet Tom ** we took him to see a neurosurgeon at Blue Pearl Vet. He had surgery and is back to normal. The cost of the surgery was $7553. Our policy with Healthy Pet paid 80%. We received a check for $5998 within two weeks of him having the surgery. Thank God for Healthy Pet. We have healthy pet on both of our babies Jake or beagle and Maggie our cocker spaniel. Healthy Paws is the best. We they recommend them.

I have had Healthy Paws for about 6 years. I have 2 Goldendoodles. Every time I have had a claim, large or small, they review and pay it out within days. No hassles. No denials. My youngest pup ate a toy a couple of weeks ago and had to have it removed at the ER. Final bill was around $4k, and I was reimbursed 90% of that (less my deductible) within about 5 days. I can’t say enough good things about them. Get when your pup is young, though. Made the mistake of waiting until my 2nd pup was almost a year old, and because he has already had an ear infection, any subsequent ear/skin infections are considered pre-existing and aren’t covered. Worth it to get them enrolled early.

Healthy Paws is the best! During a recent bout of IBD the medical bills for my Husky/Shepherd mix racked up quickly. Healthy Paws paid their fair share quickly with no hassles at all. In fact, after about the fourth check they wrote and asked how he was doing just to make sure he was ok. Now that's good service! At this point I'm sure they've paid me more in reimbursements than I paid them in premiums, but they've never complained. (Oh, and they did the same thing for my last dog...a 14 year old GSD with multiple health issues). I wish my own health insurance were this good.

Because of claim **. I signed up with Healthy Paws many years ago for two of my dogs where I paid monthly to make sure that they were covered. I never had to use the insurance until last year or so with my first dog. They made it incredibly difficult to get reimbursed. They want your entire pet's medical history from the time they joined your family, which I wished they had told me this when I signed up. So if you don't have it. it will become a nightmare. Prepare to never get things resolved! You can email them a hundred times and you probably won't get an email back, or you will get one that doesn't relate to your questions or concern. It's really sad.

When we welcomed home our dog, Charlie, just under two years ago I already knew what pet insurance to sign up with, Healthy Paws! My sister had already had Healthy Paws for her dogs and told me about how easy and affordable it was. She had already filed a claim and was quickly reimbursed. I had the same experience. I was able to get 90 percent coverage and only a $100 deductible for a comprehensive plan. My dog Charlie had no health issues until a couple weeks ago when he suddenly started acting different and vomiting all day. I rushed him to the emergency Vet which is very costly. Healthy Paws paid me back within days of submitting my claim.

My Chow Chow, Kallie, tore her ACL and required surgery. Healthy Paws was extremely considerate of her health issue and cooperated with me and her vet in order for her to receive the best possible treatment. The submission of invoices was easy to do and payment from Healthy Paws was very fast. I highly recommend their services.

Tripled my premium. Informed me that medical records I submitted were insufficient and when the Vet told me more detailed records didn't exist in their system, HealthyPaws refused to assist in resolving the issue until I had a claim to file. So they wanted to take money from me every month, without helping resolve this issue, and then when it came time to file a claim, they would have a good reason to deny it. Overall, felt very dishonest and like a scam.

I have had insurance with Healthy Paws since 2018. Be warned, your rates will go up and up and up even if you never file a claim. I would estimate I have had approximately 8 increases since 2018 (it is 2022), and my rate has about doubled. For the first time in 2022 I had to file a claim. What a mess. The incompetence of this company is beyond any I have experienced. They are trying every way to deny the claim. I had to send all vet records of my dog, even from prior to having this insurance as they searched for a pre-existing condition, (obviously this underwriting was already done when we first got the insurance).

I highly recommend Healthy Paws for your pets. I would never go without it. The rates are reasonable and they pay within days of claim submission. I've used a few times over the years but most recently, my Dixie had to have 4 mast cell tumors removed with 2 surgeries, lots of imaging & tests, 2 night hospital stay each surgery to the tune of $14K. Claims were submitted and I had the money in my account in 2 days of discharge. Healthy Paws even reached out to me to see how my girl was doing. I can honestly say that Dixie is doing well and that is largely in part to Healthy Paws allowing us to get her the best treatment possible.

I was a client of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance from 2019 till recently. When it came time for me to submit valid claims, I was given an extreme run around about information. I submitted ALL requested documentation for my Toy Pomeranian, was told they didn't have everything and would close out the claim if they didn't receive the requested medical records. I contacted customer service. The 1st representative I spoke with told me that I didn't need to be concerned that was just an automatic email that was sent while my information was under review. Well, my claims were closed. I called back, spoke with another representative for 45 minutes, after going over everything in detail my claims were reopened. Only for them to reject them again for not having the complete set of Medical Records.

My dog was bitten by a rattlesnake and the bill was over 2k. Submitted the claim on a Sunday and received the check within a week. They even followed up to check in on my dog. Would highly recommend.

We have had an extremely positive experience with Healthy Paws and they have been very quick and efficient with processing and giving claims payouts. My family feels so much better knowing our kitty has insurance. We have had him (and the insurance) for 4 years and have racked up around 6 vet visits outside of his normal care that have been covered aside from the vet exam fee. They are transparent about how they calculate the payout amounts and we have had no discrepancies in any of our claims. We recently has 3 emergency visits within 1 week and started receiving the checks for the first visit even before we took him again. I would highly recommend this to anyone adopting a pet and definitely do it sooner rather than later since pre-existing conditions aren't covered. Some pets may never use it, but honestly, it's worth it just for the peace of mind.

I have three cats. One was recently diagnosed with Feline Asthma. Once diagnosed, he was placed on a steroid which the vet thinks lowered his immunity and he caught an upper respiratory infection. But beyond that, it’s evident that they care about you and your pet as more than just a policy number. They have sent me personalized follow up to check in about how my dog is doing after an injury or surgery, and when our second dog passed away last year and they saw that we put in a claim for the ER bill when he was euthanized, they sent me a heartfelt condolence letter and even checked in a few weeks later to see how we were doing after losing our pet.

Dealing with Healthy Paws is an unfortunate pleasure. Taking care of my dog's health isn't determined by expense. A great pet insurance policy keeps thought process to quality of life only.

My dog Daisy was in need of ACL surgery after giving her a month with medication in hopes she’d get better on her own but did not happen. I couldn’t bear to see Daisy in pain and not being able to walk, run or jump so didn’t think further and decided that surgery was the best for her. Total cost was approx. $3800 and luckily for Healthy Paws Insurance they were able to cover 80% of the total cost which was a big help. All they required was the invoice and medical records related to the incident. This was something out of the ordinary and they were there to assist with no issues. I even received an email asking how Daisy was after her surgery. This is a great insurance to have and their customer service is great. Would highly recommend.

Look no further. Healthy Paws has the best plans available on the market. I’ve had this insurance since 2017 and have had to use it for major expensive surgeries on 3 separate pets at different times. The last one was a TPLO surgery on my 3 year old chow and a dental surgery on the other. It’s a huge sigh of relief knowing I have the insurance and my beloved pets get the healthcare they need when they need it. Also, bloodwork, X-rays and medications have always been covered 80%. I had been enrolled in Healthy Paws pet insurance since I adopted my dog Polly from the shelter in 2018. In all of that time, I had never needed it, but continued on. A few weeks ago, our sweet girl started to show bruising all over her belly and groin. She had developed a life-threatening auto-immune disease called ITP and had to be in the emergency vet ICU for several days. While there, in order to get her platelet count up, and save her from spontaneous internal bleeding, she was treated with chemo drugs and other medications that saved her life.

I've had Healthy Paws for my Jack Russell Terrier (JRT) since 2015, basically when he was almost a year old. They have always been fair and processed claims quickly. Their app is very easy to navigate and you can keep track of all your claims even into the future. Recently, Ozzy, my JRT, had a mass growing on his front leg. Removal of the growth and skin grafts are extremely expensive and continuous bandage changes add up. We have spent well over $2k so far and Ozzy is not nearly finished with his care yet. Never, not once, has Healthy Paws given us trouble with our claims. And they even emailed us to inquire on his recovery! What insurance does that?! The level of professionalism and heart this company has is admirable. If you are looking into Pet Insurance, look no further. The premiums are a small cost for peace of mind. No regrets.

Everything happened so fast, my tiny one year old toy poodle broke his leg. I rushed him to a regular vet, they did X-rays and said he needed surgery. I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance!!! I have been a customer of Healthy Paws for 10 years, insuring my dog and 3 house cats over this period. I have always gotten great service. My dog has idiopathic epilepsy diagnosed in his second year. Recently, one of my 6 year old cats required medical care and hospitalizations for 2 life-threatening conditions, seemingly unrelated, that occurred about a month apart. The second illness required 6 days of 24/7 care in an emergency clinic in addition to multiple follow-up visits and testing with my veterinarian.

Our cat Dimond went to the ER and has been hospitalized for four days due to acute inflammation of several organs and now is doing pretty well. His ALT is still high from his bloodwork recheck so he will be on a liver protectant for a while. This is our first time submitting claims on Healthy Paws and the whole process was super easy and quick. When our dog was injured, we took her to an orthopedic vet for x-rays and diagnosis. She was diagnosed with a Torn CCL. She needed CCL surgery and will need rehab in a few weeks. Luckily we had Healthy Paws and they paid 80% of her surgery, therapy, medications and x-rays. Well worth the money! I recommend getting their insurance. Easy to place a claim, and reimbursement is sent promptly.

My choice was based on the plan flexibility of changing the deductible and coverage percentage. Families can pick what they can afford. Keep in mind that it’s very expensive to go to the emergency vet clinic, having some coverage is better than none. Healthy Paws fully explains on their site what is covered. Recently my dog was ill and required several trips to the emergency vet. The claims were easy to submit and they kept me informed every step of the way. Reimbursement was in a timely manner and best of all there were no surprises, they covered exactly what was stated.

Reccomand this insurance. They were quick to review the claims and email to check on the pet that just had surgery. They also covered the cost of the procedure as stated by their policy. My dog had ACL surgery and was very costly, so it was great that I could count on the insurance. Also, during the week of surgery, my cat was at the emergency room for three nights, and she is also covered by the insurance. They checked her claim, her vet documentations, and also covered her stay. It is a peace of mind knowing I can keep my pets safe in emergency situations.

My dog had two TPLO surgeries in a year and a half. I chose a plan with 80% reimbursement. The plan covered the surgery, meds and rehab expenses including acupuncture. After submitting the bills, the claims were processed in a couple of days and reimbursement to my bank account a couple days after that. And they emailed me to see how our dogs was. This is an expensive, stressful surgery but having this good insurance gave me peace of mind.

I'm very pleased with my experience! I have to admit I was skeptical about insuring my cats at all as they're usually pretty low maintenance after their kitten phase. The plan itself is definitely affordable every month and with a low annual deductible, 90% coverage and no caps or incident limits, it's been worth every penny! Service was relatively swift and when I had to call in with questions they were helpful and quick to answer. I have been using Healthy Paws since I adopted my first cat in 2018, and they always provide the quickest response and claim processing. All you need to do is to provide the invoice and the medical records that you get from the vet. They usually process within 10 days, and if you have provided enough documents, there would be no back and forth on the coverage. They always cover as much as they can, and all would list clearly on the claim statement. I adopted a new cat last year, keep choosing Healthy Paws. He was terribly ill last month, but with Healthy Paws, I did not hesitate to take him to the vet and did every exam that we need to save his life. He is now getting better. My pup and I have been customers since 2017. As a first time pet-parent, I opted for pet insurance, because I wanted my girl to be protected without having to hesitate over the cost of treatment, should serious illness or accident occur. I had compared providers and liked the reviews for Healthy Paws the most. I continue to be happy with my decision. I submit every receipt/invoice from each vet visit (just in case I assume incorrectly that something is not covered) and the Team diligently and patiently reviews all charges, and responds with explanation of what is covered in each case. Already, there have been two bigger-ticket items where the reimbursement exceeded my expectations, with the latest one being worth almost 2 years of our current monthly premiums!

I work for the largest corporate veterinary hospital in the US and as a perk, they subsidize the cost of Trupanion for four pets. Well, as most others in the animal industry know, sometimes you own more than four... I looked at purchasing Trupanion for my new Great Dane puppy as they had been great with the coverage and claims for my other pets and realized the monthly premium was over $160 for my chosen options (90% reimbursement with a $500 deductible).

I wanted to thank you so much for checking in after my pup was admitted in the hospital a few weeks back! It was a long, scary week for my pup and family. Thankfully he is doing much better. He is on a strict hypoallergenic diet (think Surf and Turf for dogs in terms of the $$$$-ouch!) but he has not had any GI issues for a few weeks so I am hopeful that we figured out the cause-otherwise he needs to go back for more diagnostics-not fun for him or us! Paws crossed we are on the right path! You guys are the best-makes scary times more manageable knowing we are not having to worry about the bill. My other pup also has Healthy Paws (he is 10!) and we have barely had to use it at all but it's well worth it knowing we have it in times like we had with our pup!

So glad I decided to take out insurance policy on my dog Blu with Healthy Paws. Blu has torn his knee ligament in both legs three months apart. I've used Healthy Paws for about 3 years, during that time I've contacted their customer service department 2 times and each time they were extremely rude and dismissive. In less than a year they raised their prices over 30% without contacting me or changing the policy. Their explanation was "Other people are using the insurance in your area so they are raising the premiums." When compared with other insurance agencies, I would say Healthy Paws has been by far the most frustrating.

In the beginning of March our pet 4 year old, Willo Rae began experiencing severe sickness and had to be rushed to our veterinarian at the Animal Medical Center of Lehigh Acres. Tests revealed the need for emergency surgery and Willo Rae was taken to the Blue Diamond medical hospital in Fort Myers, where emergency surgery required the removal of her gall bladder. She is now on the road to a recovery she and we are so grateful for. Our Sugar-Bear is an American Akita. Last summer he tore his ACL and dislocated his knee cap so he required surgery. His recovery was a bit rough and all I wanted to do was ensure that he was comfortable and give him all the love and cuddles he wanted. I was able focus on my Beary because having Healthy Paws in our corner helped ease my worries about covering all the expenses. Three weeks ago he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma…an aggressive form of bone cancer. Bear once again required surgery and this time it was to amputate his back hind limb. As you can imagine it was a tough decision but he is doing excellent! We removed the source of him pain and he is recovering wonderfully. I want to share my positive experience for the past 9 years having 2 small Havanese fur babies. Periodically I have needed to submit claims. I have not had any difficulty with the process which is very simple. I have used manual mail in and more recent three years online and phone app. Process. My Buddy 9 years of age this summer has had two major surgeries unexpected. In 2020 he had a soft tissue sarcoma and aggressive type of cancer. Following surgery and then radiation treatment he came thru very well. This past two weeks Buddy had surgery for a torn ACL same radiation leg which surgery was our only option. Having Healthy Paws Insurance for both fur babies and the ease of claims and custom coverage I have been blessed to have both babies with me healthy and being able to take all my time and strength to be a great caregiver.

Even if I lose you somewhere while reading my review, please purchase a Healthy Paws pet insurance for your pet now. This is not like deciding whether to purchase your baby a duck toy or a squeaky ball. For the past 8 years Healthy Paws has saved us money we sometimes didn't have. It has allowed us to focus our energy and time on providing Mossi the best vet-care, rather than worrying about money. You don't want to avoid a visit to the vet because you cannot afford it. There is a lot of information online and in social media, which can be very overwhelming. It can also be very misleading, but the go-to for many people because it accessible, and cheaper. I do not recommend this at all.
