    I signed up for this website about a year ago. To get the credit, you go to their website, click on the activation link, and then make an eligible purchase. I did that and I was getting small credits for a while. Then all of a sudden I made a large purchase ($800) at Walmart for 10% back ($50 max credit). Within 2 days, I got the $50 credit. However, since then (over 3 weeks ago) I have not gotten any credits whatsoever for subsequent purchases. I have contacted their customer service several times, they just keep giving me the runaround but don't resolve anything. Since about 4 weeks ago, despite making regular purchases and activating in the correct way, I am not getting any credits. This is just my opinion, but I have a feeling that their algorithm has a built-in system that essentially denies or delays claims once you reach a certain high level of credits, sort of as a stopgap measure to slow down payments.

    After all, they have a financial incentive to not pay off too much money, because they lose money. They also have a misleading confirmation email that is generated when you click an activation button, that says that if you already made a purchase, you will still get a credit. In fact, this is not true. But the email confirming that you have activated a vendor is sent simultaneously. So it makes no sense to get an email saying that you are eligible even if you have already made a purchase at the time you click the activation button, if the reality is that you have to click first before you get the credit. It's just extremely misleading. What they should really say is that you will only get the credit if you activated first. That's not my biggest issue with them, but it's still misleading.

    My biggest issue is that I'm not getting credits for purchases which I made after I first activated. I was okay with them until about a month ago, when all of this started happening after I made the large Walmart purchase. I haven't changed anything on my browser, I have been using the exact same phone, nothing's changed on my end to suggest that I'm doing something wrong. It coincides perfectly with my large purchase at Walmart, when somehow I think their algorithm triggered that I'm getting too much money, and it either is delaying or denying the credits. The company will probably deny this, but it just seems too much of a coincidence all of a sudden, after a year of getting these credits like clockwork, they stop all of a sudden.

    RMN case #**--submitted 11/11/24. On 11/8/24 I purchased a cabinet at Sam's Club using a 10% cash back offer (max $50). Before purchasing I checked eligibility & the category/category id was shown as eligible under both Member's Mark/Member's Mark & Furniture/Furniture. RMN shows it is ineligible. Support was contacted 11/11/24 & as of 11/19 I have received no response or credit even though they stated "Our goal is to get back with you within 24 hours or sooner". The cabinet was delivered 11/18/24 to replace damaged one received 11/13/24.

    Totally useless. Use any other cashback site than RetailMeNot. You never actually get any cash back, and in the very rare situation that you do, they don't let you know and charge a monthly fee til it's all gone anyway.

    Updated on 05/12/2024: Well I wrote a previous review about receiving a vague email stating that my account has been supposed due to suspicious activity. Now, when I followed up asking what was the suspicious activity…I was given no reason. They did however provide me with term that only an attorney decipher. So, here I am after years of being a loyal customer I’m treated like this. I can’t understand how I can possibly write to the appeals board explaining an issue that I don’t even know what the issue is. So, I filed a complaint on here 5/6/2024. The company replied 5/7/2024 that they would look into this and reach out to me very soon.

    As of today, 5/12/2024, I haven’t received any emails or detailed explanation. In fact, if I would have reached out to RETAILMENOT initially because I kept getting an error when I tried to a coupon code. It just kept saying “oops error”. They didn’t even have the courtesy to bring it to my attention in a professional manner that there could be a potential issue. From there I searched issues and saw what to do if your account has been suspended. Well, my first thought was my account hasn’t been suspended because I never got any information on that. Well, I decided to try it anyhow. Sure enough later on that I got a reply to my inquiry that my account had been suspended. No reason given. So, that’s why it’s suspicious that I haven’t received a reply to my initial complaint on here and it’s been 6 days. I would also greatly accept any advice from fellow consumers!!

    Original Review: I’ve been using Retailmenot for a long time without any issues. I’ve never intentionally or knowingly did anything to cause problems. I went to use my account as I have for quite some time. It kept giving me an error message. I decided to reach out to Retailmenot to see what the issue was. I was then sent an email that seems to be a standard email sent to everyone. No explanation as to why my account was suspended. No information on when my account will be reinstated. Just a link if I want to have them review it again.

    Well, why wasn’t I given the courtesy of what the issue was? Also, if there’s “suspicious activity” wouldn’t it be in the best interest of the customer to be more specific for several reasons. One being, there could be an issue with someone hacking their account, identity issues, spam issues to name a few. Instead a link is given to read the rules. I don’t know if anyone has read them but when I was done my head hurt. This is more for an attorney to read and then explain to their client. It’s not user friendly and it’s hard to understand. So after reading it, I am still confused. I mean I am supposed to read these endless pages that really should be read by an attorney, then after that I should be able to know what I supposedly did wrong!? Really!?

    I am 54 years old and I have never had any of my accounts suspended. I’ve always followed the rules! I spend a lot of money shopping online especially since the pandemic. And now after this, I am ready to go back to the Brick and mortar stores. This really came as blow! It’s very upsetting and not fair! I am a person who stands up for what’s right! I feel that all of us consumers that have received this vague email without any definitive reason should all contact the Attorney General to have them at the very least look over the rules. They really are for the consumer’s rights!

    Helpful with Rockauto and admittedly haven’t used it for other stores, I do plan to but coupons for amazon are frustrating because you can't copy and paste the code into the code bar. It just says code provided at checkout but there is none provided for the 20% off. I got 5% off but from amazon itself. Unless they fix this I wouldn’t recommend using this for amazon codes in the future.

    I made a purchase through them on Expedia and they promised $50.00 cash back after my purchase was completed and I even got an email confirmation notification from retailmenot.com. It said that they received a confirmation of purchase from Expedia and that I was going to receive the $50.00 after 45 days exactly. Almost 50 days later I tried contacting them asking for my $50 cash back since it's been more than 45 days but now they say it could be 45 days after my flight gets completed which will not happen until next year. I think they are misleading and they lie in plain sight, I don't understand why they won't issue my $50 cash back even when they know flight tickets are not refundable.

    After using RMN fairly regularly for a number of years, my account was suddenly suspended with no explanation. When I contacted them I was told it was suspended because they had identified activity in my account that may not follow their terms of use. They then said they couldn’t provide additional details - in other words, we’ve suspended your account but won’t explain why. I can request a review, by answering a series of questions they already have the answers to. Ridiculous.

    I was not able to get any coupons to work when I recently purchased a laptop from Lenovo. How, I was able to get a 10% cash back offer. Sounds cool, right?
    A day after getting an email "Lenovo has verified your purchase!" suddenly, my new never used before RetailMeNot account was flagged for suspicious activity. Fine, I reached out to Customer Care providing a receipt, and a screenshot with the system info and timestamp of me replying to try to get that decision appealed.

    I was told that they are unable to appeal it because they outsource those decisions to a "Third party risk management company" and they are unable to tell me why I was flagged, only that I am suspended from all cash back offers. They hope I'll continue using them and building history... blah blah. Sorry, that behavior is suspicious. One star, do not recommend.

    I agree with another review: they don't honor the cashback and make up excuses not to give it to you, especially if it's an amount over $3. I ordered Verizon wireless plan from Retailmenot link on 12/29/2022. It is $80 cashback from Retailmenot. The click records showed in my Retailmenot account until mid-February 2023 without any progress. Then I started to call their number, but of course, no one answered the phone. I created two cases from their website support page. I was not only getting no response, the click records disappeared from my account. As the 3rd contact, I emailed to their support email box. No reply so far. Retailmenot is very much playing scam.

    I made a few Purchases on RetailMeNot, two had a rebate from the RetailMeNot website. One of the purchases was credited to my account. A Nord VPN was marked as suspicious, after months of trying to get info on why they "suspect" my transaction. I asked suspect of what? Same day my account with money already approved was locked and closed. Now I will be on a mission to protect the American consumer against this Scam..

    Many years ago, when this site started, it was a great place for coupon codes. For years though, it has been nothing but 1) ads for sales that you don’t need RetailMeNot to access, just go to the website of the store for the same discount and 2) Invalid coupon codes. I think they know it too, since they got rid of any rating system that shows whether a particular coupon code is valid or not. You can’t even warn other people not to bother when you find out a coupon code doesn’t work. This site is a total waste of time.

    Every time I try to contact customer service via telephone and leave a message no one ever calls you back. It is extremely unprofessional. I have a lot of issues I would like to address. There are also major issues with cash back offers that are deeply flawed, and that can't be falsely explained away or rationalized by staff.

    Browser Extension started to spam me with scams, got so scared that I had a virus I had to take it to a shop. 200 bucks to learn that their browser thing was the cause, and to get it removed. Never trusting these frauds ever again, 9 times out of ten the codes they gave me never worked anyway. Showed McAfee and Norton antivirus ads, along with adult only websites, how DARE they allow such smut.

    I gave a review of RetailMeNot weeks ago based on the fact that I had received an email saying I was getting a $30 rebate on a TV that I purchased. Then it never showed up as a pending transaction on their website. They responded telling me to wait until the end of the six week wait period for it to be verified. Today it turned up in my account and was paid to me. I am glad that I got it and it does make me feel better about using their service.

    I recently purchased a TV at HSN and activated the 5% Retailmenot cash back offer. After completing the purchase I did get an email from Retailmenot saying I would have $30 back by the end of August for this purchase. I did not save the email because in the past once I got that email from Retailmenot, it appeared in my account. This time it did not. I waited a few weeks to see something in my account but there was nothing. Then I uploaded the packing slip with information about my purchase along with the same explanation I am giving here and was told I would get a response in 2-3 days. It has been over a week and I have heard nothing. I tried calling Retailmenot and no matter what department you choose it says no one is available.

    Up to this point I have not had a problem with using Retailmenot. But I suspect that when it is a larger cash refund, it is ignored in hopes that no one will pursue it and they can get out of paying it. I will contact HSN about this if I don't get the refund and I will stop using Retailmenot and tell others to do the same. I am seeing too many other reviews saying the same thing about this company and now, I am sorry to say, I do not trust using it especially when there is a larger refund due. There are many other similar sites that I can use if they do not want to answer or correct this situation. I am not telling anyone not to use it. But be aware that if there is a problem, getting it corrected is vey difficult if not impossible. I am sorry they are doing this because in the past, it seemed to be a good site to use and reputable. Now I am very much doubting that.

Regarding calls, we do not have a call center but all voicemails left for Customer Care are returned within 24 hours as well. We confirmed this standard is being met.

    I ordered a computer from Lenovo using a 15% off cash back link from RetailMeNot.com. The next day I received a notice that I had successfully initiated the cashback process and that I would be receiving $150 on a specified date about 6 weeks in the future. Now they’re telling me they are not going to pay me because they are accusing me of breaking their terms of service without any explanation. I know for a fact that I did nothing wrong. This is the first and only time I used their cash back service. I suspect they just don’t want to pay me because this was a larger cash back offer. It’s really frustrating because I made this purchase based on the fact that the cash back promised to me would be honored without RetailMeNot scamming me. Very disappointed. Please don’t count on RetailMeNot, especially if you are relying on any sort of significant cashback. They are a very shady, dishonorable company.

    I am a professional shopper for stay at home seniors. I am a senior myself on a fixed income and this is my livelihood. It keeps my bills paid. I used to get all the grocery store ads delivered by the post office in my mailbox on Tuesdays. But approximately 8 to 12 months ago RetailMeNot took over the delivery of the store ads. In all of this time I have received my ads exactly three times. I have to call every single week for my ads so that I can plan out my day and shop for my senior customers. I have already lost one account because of RetailMeNot not delivering the ads.

    Every time I have called until today I have been told that my delivery day is Tuesday. In my area the shopping ads for groceries starts on Wednesdays. I am usually at the store at 6:00 a.m. when they open to begin shopping for my seniors and my day is planned out completely on Tuesday nights based on the ads to get my senior customers the best possible prices on the groceries that they need. I call each of my seniors on Tuesdays and let them know approximately what their cost is going to be so that I can collect the money from them up front.

    I am not financially independent and cannot pay for their groceries and then have them reimburse me. Every week I have to call RetailMeNot for my ads. Now they're telling me my delivery is on Wednesdays which does me no good and I am going to lose my business. My plan is to contact all of the stores that I usually shop at for groceries that use this company to deliver their advertisements and I am going to complain to them. RetailMeNot is a useless very poorly run company. If I could get them zero to a quarter star I would. They don't deserve any more than that.

    Very rarely do any of the coupon codes they provide for the restaurants I choose do they ever work. Especially true for Longhorn Steakhouse. Never been able to use a coupon there. Not worth my time to try anymore.

    Absolutely deplorable BS scam of a site....How many times does someone have to chase them for cashback that I am owed!!!!     I am tired of this company littering. Each month(?) they deliver their papers in red bags all over lawns and sidewalks of my town. Most people don't want them as evidenced by the fact that they remain all over lawns and sidewalks in my town for a good long time. I refuse to do business with anyone that advertises with them. They allegedly have a form to opt out but the first time I filled it out I started getting two papers instead of one. I tried again and nothing happened, I still get two. People delivering physical papers great business model for 1972. I cannot believe that in this day and age any company would litter so blatantly.

    Created the first account with them because they had a 10% cashback offer for BestBuy. Followed the instruction step by step and made my eligible purchase in the "TopDeals" section, after I picked up my order a couple days later I got the email from them saying "BestBuy let us know you made a purchase" and it showed the pending cashback balance in my wallet which is good. A few days later when I checked again, I saw my pending become $0.0, went to look at my reward activity and to my surprise, I got marked ineligible now with this message "Ineligible due to suspected violation of Terms. Please contact Customer Care if you believe this was in error."

    Of course, I believe is an error so I contacted the customer care and gotten a response that doesn't say the specifics and told me to email directly if I believe this is an error so I emailed and it says it could take 5 days for the review, Took all 5 days for a response and guess what the reply was? Basically the same as the first response I got, this is not acceptable, they are straight-up not putting any effort into this problem or simply at this point I feel like they are just trying to not pay out. I attached the picture of the responses.

    I have never used this service, ever, yet they continue to spam my email inbox with junk despite me frequently following the unsubscribe links. I get upwards of 5-10 emails a day from them. I don't know whose email list they bought and use for marketing purposes, but I do not appreciate all their spam. Until I read the consumer reviews posted here I was convinced they were a phishing scam. Make your unsubscribe process actually work, please.

    I made my first purchase through RetailMeNot Wallet for a 10% discount to Best Buy. I made the order through their referral link and all seemed well. Picked up the order and waited a few days. Unfortunately my account never showed pending purchases. I contact Chat and they informed me my account had been suspended?!? It was my first time purchasing through them and opening an account. Their Chat couldn't give me any information on why my account was suspended. They wanted me to email them a bunch of information (Data) to see why it was suspended. Tried to call, but you can only leave a voice mail.

    It's great that my account has been suspended with NO communication. No email? No information in my wallet? No Messages? Feels like a scam for them to collect my information, get me to purchase through their referral link so they get money, but then cancel my account so they don't have to pay out. You will notice many more complains about this exact same situation. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION OR USE THEIR SERVICES!!!

From the image provided, we can determine that these are blank mailers that your local carrier has delivered to you by mistake. The blank mailers are for customers who received a damaged one and need a replacement, not for general distribution. We highly suggest speaking with your local post office so the carrier can be corrected immediately.

    I keep getting in my USPS mailbox flyers from RetailMeNot. Junk, Junk, Junk. I have requested on their site (Link->> https://www.retailmenot.com/everyday/unsubscribe) at least 3 times over the past 4 months to stop receiving their junk. It is not the postal person as the address on the flyer is my address. These people just will not stop! Federal Trade Commission really needs to get involved with this company. This company is just as bad a "RedPlum". Scam, Scam, Scam and no way to get off their darn list. They say it can take up to six weeks to be removed from the mailing list. Hello!! It has been at least 12 weeks since the first time I requested to be removed.

    I began to use the cashback site to get cashback on my purchases. I made several purchases with the promise of getting cashback. However they targeted my account as suspicious activity. I have no idea what that means. I made several purchases. I even got emails for every purchase I made as promise cashback in 45 days. Never once was not able to log in. If you want to block me from your site you should not allow me access to sign in. Very shady practices.

    They allowed to they credit for my purchase they just steal my cashback rebate. I emailed customer service and they just follow a script. I provided all the documents they requested and they take over week to respond that can not help at all. I will continue to share my stories so that people don't get fooled, and go to more reliable cashback program. A cashback program that won't lie to you like Retailmenot.
