I had a Napster account for quite a while. When they lost a bunch of licensing for music I canceled my account. Now I'm going on the 3rd month of them debiting my account. I have contacted Napster via email several times and they conveniently can't find any information about these charges even though I have given them pictures of the charges to my account.

I have had Napster for at least 20 years. My husband I have accumulated music and playlists for all these years and loved the service. Family and friends would say "switch to Spotify" to which we always responded that we loved Napster and it would be so hard to move over to another service with 20 years worth of accumulated songs/playlists/etc.

A couple months ago I was on a long drive and went to play my favorite playlist and all my songs except 2 were gone. As others have said, no warning, no nothing.... just kept collecting my fees. I really think there should be a class action lawsuit against them. Once the songs were gone, there is no record of what was in your original playlists, so no way to rebuild with Spotify or some other service. Just have to start over. For most this may seem like not that big of a deal, but for music nuts like us, this was a huge deal. So angry that we just kept paying them, all the while the number of available songs/artists just kept dwindling away.

I have been using Napster for decades. I never had any problem until recently when I went to use the service and all of my music was gone. No warning! They knew this was happening and didn’t even warn anyone. Just continued to collect the monthly fees! I am devastated! I spent years downloading music with them. It probably seems weird to some but I can’t live without music. I don’t even know where to start with a new service. I used Napster because I downloaded so much music it was the best option. CS absolutely no help. They acted as though it was ok. Did nothing but say, "Oh we understand," then gave me links to cancel! I really wish that large companies like this would be held accountable for the horrible things they do. Instead the loyal customer get the short end of the stick and we are expected to just smile and take it.

I've had this account for 15 or 20 years and hundreds of songs that I've compiled since the Rhapsody days have just VANISHED, with no explanation. It has been a HORRIBLE experience. I should have canceled years ago, but I didn't want to lose the songs that were left, but it seems they too keep vanishing every time I open the app. For a while now I've been opening playlists I've created to find NO SONGS in them, or only a fraction of the songs I spent days, weeks, months, and years collecting. I finally wrote down all my playlist titles and deleted everything and I'll start over with Apple Music. I hope your newer customers have had a better experience, because I was HOSED!

I have the same complaint as most of the other reviews. I had been a subscriber for years and had built up a library of, I'm guessing probably about 5,000-6,000 songs. I grew up in the 60's & 70's, but also love new hard rock and alt metal so I have a very eclectic collection. Correction, had. I now have only 446 songs! I wrote to Napster asking for a refund for the 2nd half of the year that I'd already paid for and got a form "letter" back telling me "they know how frustrating it can be..." and my account "will be canceled when the subscription runs out in May 2026". I called my credit company and they said that I could file a dispute for 50% of the amount charged. I feel that Napster broke the contract that they made with me so they should be liable for refunding my money. I don't know how it will turn out, but I think it's worth a shot.

Most popular music removed. My play list gone. I quit the service yesterday. Can not listen to any Beatles or anything good for that matter. Bomba Estero gone. Jay Z gone. Come on man. Well it was a good service just last year.

If I could give a rating zero that would be appropriate! They removed my playlist I built over years without notice. They changed the platform so now you cannot download your own music....again with no notice!!! You cannot call them or chat with anyone! All communication through email.

I've been with Napster for nearly 25 years, going back to when it was called Rhapsody. Since the takeover by Napster AI, the music library has deteriorated. All the albums and tracks I used to listen to are gone. I don't know what the plan is for the "new" Napster, but apparently music, or at least the music I listen to (jazz, old rock), is not a part of it. Sorry to let it go after a quarter century, but there it is.

I've been with Napster for almost 10 years. I compiled 5 playlists with hundreds of songs. I'm a "Boomer," so my music went all the way back to the 70's. My phone received a notice that an update was to be installed. On September 3, 2025, the update was installed, after the update 95% of my music vanished. I will be cancelling my subscription as soon as I do a little research and find another streaming service that I like. I can't even remember all the music that was lost, let alone save it again. I've never had a complaint with Napster until now, but this one took the cake.

I've had Napster for years to wake up one day and 80% of the music I listen to is gone. 3 hour playlist. Now on 30 minutes. I pay by the year. Can't get a refund because I purchased through Google Play Store. This really suck. Stuck with it till June 2026. $140 down the drain.
