The Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is issuing a public health alert for raw, fresh goat meat.

The products did not undergo federal inspection and were produced outside inspection hours.

A recall has not been requested as it is believed that the products are no longer available for purchase.

There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The following items, from goats slaughtered by Texas Livestock and Halal Meat Processors from November 7, 2020, through December 5, 2020, are subject to the public health alert:

  • Various weights of raw, fresh goat carcasses, livers, kidneys and hearts sold at World Foods Warehouse, a grocery store and butcher, in Houston, Texas.

Jowett Farms of Blumenort, Canada, is recalling approximately 42,587 pounds of raw pork trimmings.

The products were not presented for import re-inspection into the U.S.

There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The following items, imported on April 2, 2020, and further processed into sausage products, are being recalled:

  • 20-oz. plastic wrapped tray packages containing sausage links of “Jewel-Osco Sheboygan Brand Bratwurst – Made in Illinois” with a sell-by date of 4/17/20.
  • 20-oz. plastic wrapped tray packages containing sausage links of “Jewel-Osco Mild Italian Sausage” with a sell-by date of 4/17/20.
  • 20-oz. plastic wrapped tray packages containing sausage links of “Jewel-Osco Hot Italian Sausage” with a sell-by date of 4/17/20.

The recalled products, bearing establishment number “EST. 7779” inside the USDA mark of inspection were shipped to retail locations in Illinois and Wisconsin.

What to do

The recalled product, bearing establishment number “EST. 46538” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The recalled products, bearing establishment number “EST. 6916” printed on the right, front side of the package, was shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Advance Pierre Foods of Cincinnati, Ohio, is recalling approximately 15,739 pounds of ready-to-eat beef patties.

The product may be contaminated with extraneous materials -- specifically small, green soft plastic pieces.

There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The following frozen item, produced on September 11, 2019, is being recalled:

  • 15.09 lb. frozen, bulk-packed cases containing “CN FULLY COOKED FLAMEBROILED BEEF PATTIES” with product code 69097 on the case label.

The recalled product, bearing establishment number “Est. 2132” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to a single distribution location in Iowa. The warehouse then distributed the product to institutions -- including schools.

While the product was distributed to schools, it resulted from a commercial sale and was not part of the food provided by the USDA for the National School Lunch Program.

The recalled product was not sold in retail stores.
