By other reviews they may be on time or fast, my biggest complaint is they do not tell you their damage items policy. I found it the hard way. They moved me last summer (third party, not Bellhop employees) and they broke my flat screen TV beyond repair and damage a steel kitchen garbage can. Their policy is to pay on the weight of the items instead of the actual cost of the items to replace them. So for the two items above, they wanted to give me $17. That is totally ridiculous especially both items were not only a year old. I even tried talking to the manager and they would not budge. They're stubborn and when I booked online, I didn’t see a damage policy listed. I would stay away from this company and find a different mover. I’m so frustrated!!!!

Bellhop Moving is a deceptive brokerage (not a direct moving company) that intentionally underquotes customers to lure them in, only to inflate charges by 350% or more after services are rendered. The kids they hire as "movers" are not professional or qualified movers, and they even admitted underquoting is standard practice for Bellhops.

The company makes no effort to be transparent about pricing. They quoted me 4 hours to move a 750 sq. ft. apartment just 3 miles, with only one large furniture item (a 3-seat couch) and total possessions that filled only half a truck. The move ended up taking nearly 11 hours, and with all charges, the cost exceeded $3,000 - an outrageous, predatory scam.

When I reported these serious issues mid-move, Bellhop lied about sending help and never followed up. Post-move, they falsified documents sent to my credit card company, falsely claiming more movers were present and that I never raised any issues or concerns, despite extensive communications proving otherwise. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has been trying to hold them accountable for years due to an overwhelming number of similar complaints (1.2-star rating, 131+ complaints), but the State Attorney General offices have not yet taken action. This company is a scam, a bait-and-switch operation, and a consumer nightmare. If you value your time, money, and sanity, hire one of the many alternatives to Bellhop Movers.

Bellhop’s damage protection policy, which calculates reimbursement based on the weight of damaged items rather than their actual value, is not only unfair but also deeply frustrating for customers. I experienced this firsthand when my belongings were damaged, and the resolution was a mere $12—an insulting amount given the actual worth of the items. This policy fails to account for the real impact on customers, leaving them feeling undervalued and unheard. After digging further, I found that this complaint is common among others who have used the service.

On top of the inadequate damage compensation, the movers in my case were late, and two of them didn’t even bother to show up until almost 30 minutes into the move. Despite this, I was charged the full amount. It’s clear that punctuality and professionalism are not priorities for Bellhop. Unfortunately, my experience isn’t unique; similar issues with tardiness, incomplete teams, and careless handling of belongings are echoed in reviews on platforms like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and ConsumerAffairs.

Bellhop advertises itself as a modern and efficient moving service, but my experience, along with the complaints I’ve read from others, suggests otherwise. From operational failures to an arbitrary and insulting damage policy, the company seems to have systemic issues that undermine its reliability and trustworthiness. I cannot recommend this service to anyone and would actively discourage others from using it.

We booked with Bellhop for a move. The reservation was for the 20th of December at 2 pm. I was charged in advance for the move which I had no problem with. The reservation was for 2 26 ft trucks 5 movers and 5 hours. The team was over 2 hours late and showed up high, could smell the **. They only brought 1 26 ft trucks and a small 10 ft box truck. We had every box on main floor to make as easy as possible. I said the entire contents wouldn’t fit with the trucks that they brought.

They assured me it would. They proceeded to roughly load trucks and broke and scared furniture. Only half of our items fit and when I said, "You’ll have to make a second trip," they said it would be extra and got very threatening over it. They brought the items they had loaded leaving other half at house. When unloading again were rough with stuff and only brought into garage. I had to rent a truck and finish loading the rest of our stuff myself along with hauling everything from garage to the rooms of the new house.

I am a disabled veteran that has a very bad back that struggles with lifting and carrying, which is why I hired a moving company. When I called Bellhop they informed me that they could only reimburse me 250.00 of a 2600.00 dollar move saying that was fair compensation. I explained I wanted half back because they only moved half my stuff and they rudely informed me it wasn’t going to happen and I could sue them. Which I plan to do!!! If you are thinking about using this company please be advised. They are not an actual moving company. They are brokers that hire out cheapest bid and keep the rest. I gave a 1 star rating only because you can’t give a negative one.

The crew leader didn't load the 2-26' trucks fully. They dropped several things during the loading. They were dismissive about dropping items. The crew leader complained incessantly about the workload. The crew leader pointed out anticipation of going to the next job that was over 3 hours in the future. Lack of focus on wrapping our project up. They had room. I visually saw it. They were instructed they could leave a mattress and box spring if needed. Instead, they left important items including pictures, etc. Now, my wife and I had to fly back, rent a car, then a Uhaul, then load and drive back to our new home in Iowa. It will cost us an additional $1600. I am one to leave a tip, even on moderate to bad service. Because of the crew leader not loading the remainder of our items and it costing me, I will not be leaving a tip this time. She can tip the other people.

On a positive the driver AJ was very nice and professional. The loaders, other than the crew leader were positive on interactions with my wife and kids. Very disappointed in having fix their lack of discipline to finish the loading project. The second driver was not helpful or professional upon delivery. He slept in his truck without letting us aware we were good to start unloading. We waited about 20 minutes before checking on him, waking him up to get an update of next steps. He didn't help to open the trailer door which I found could be a danger and liability concern if one of us novice people got injured attempting to open the door and get the ramp prepped.

I did a lot of homework on finding a moving company. I've never utilized one before. Bellhop was the cheapest. I now believe they were the cheapest because of cutting some corners and ultimately costing me more money after the delivery/unloading was done. Items should not have been left behind. Trucks should not have taken off. They had more room. Zero doubt in my mind about this. The crew leader made this happen.

I would give them zero if I could. How do I even start? San Diego, CA was a nightmare. I had one mover arrive on a skateboard at 11:00 am asking me to log in for the 11:00am two person move. He said the other had an issue with the GPS and went to the wrong address. I helped move what I could and then around 11:30am the other mover arrived. They were both on their phones - the entire move and the second mover smelled like alcohol. I called Bellhop and their response is the following: The second person was given the wrong address- how did the first person arrive? They brought their own hand trolly - yet it is what I paid for on the moving truck. The first person who arrived. Said, "I don't like that one?" I said, "Then why not bring your own?" He said, "How can I fit that on a skateboard?" So, finally they used mine. They were the worst helpers I have ever had.

Absolute worse move of my life. I'm in Real Estate and deal with clients moving every day and the stress that comes with it. This used to be a great company when they first started. I would not trust a word that they say. They do not care about you or your belongings. We are having to hire another company to get the rest of our furniture from our old house. They left about 1/3 of what was quoted and didn't bring a large enough truck. Their solution was to give us a discount and to hire them again to move the rest of our stuff.

We just had our 100-year-old hardwood floors refinished and scratched them up and refuse to do anything about it. They had another move booked right after us so the guys just started stacking our stuff on the front porch. Furniture is in all the wrong places even though they were showed where to put it. They were moving so fast we had to force them to slow down because of the damage they were causing.

Hi, my name is Andrea and I'm a single woman who booked Bellhop movers as I had no one local who was able to help me. I was hoping that by paying over $700 for a move that I would have all the help I needed. That was not my experience. I was moving a bedroom (including bed and dresser), kitchen table and bench, wicker patio furniture, a few bookshelves and boxes. It was not a full home move - no living room furniture, no washer/dryer, only one bedroom, etc.

My Bellhop movers joked as they packed my items in the truck that the 26-foot truck was definitely overkill, that it would be a super easy and quick move, and we would be done very quickly. My belongings were going into a storage unit as I'm in a temporary living situation. The movers would not have to navigate moving my items into a new home so again, they joked it would be quite easy. My storage unit was about half full so I told my Bellhop movers before we left the house I was moving out of that I would need some help stacking items in the storage unit so we could ensure all of my belongings would fit.

When we arrived at the storage unit the team lead, Dwayne **, changed his attitude immediately. He looked at me with anger and disgust and said, "What are you doing? This isn't going to work! We have a 26-foot truck out there, we can't fit all this in! What are we doing here?" I reminded Mr. ** that I had informed the team that my storage unit was about half full and had asked them to help me stack items properly so we could fit everything in. I also reminded him of his own statement that the truck was not anywhere close to half full. Mr. ** continued to speak to me with irritation and indignation, saying "This is not going to work. I don't know what you're thinking. You're going to have to figure something else out. We can try to consolidate, but it won't be enough." He's the moving professional, so I began to panic.

The storage place was closed, so I reached out to a friend to ask if he had any space in his storage unit and he kindly responded that he did. Luckily, the unit was only 8 minutes away. I informed Mr. ** of this and he said, "Text me the address" dismissively and angrily. I asked for his cell phone number. He said, "What is wrong with you? I sent you a confirmation text this morning." I had forgotten, but I found it in my texts. Mr. ** then demanded I text him the access code to the storage unit, which I was uncomfortable with, but his anger had me really quite frightened. I was a woman alone, and this man had become very angry with me.

Mr. ** and his cohort had stacked a few boxes but they did a terrible job, so I decided that I would try to consolidate my storage unit on my own. I began moving bookshelves, dressers, boxes, lifting heavy items over my head on my own and by the time Mr. ** arrived back at the unit with some of my items I had properly consolidated everything. Mr. ** and his cohort continued to bring items in but they were not stacking properly according to weight and so everything would fit, so I had to direct them where to put items.

As it became clear that everything would indeed fit in my storage unit, Mr. ** approached me and said that he had been wrong. I appreciated the sentiment, but it didn't do me much good as I had already done the work myself. I told him that he had really frightened me and he replied that he didn't feel he had done anything wrong and that's not who he is. I'm sure that's not who he is, but I have no other information to go on other than how he treated a single 41-year-old woman who had hired professional moving help and received anger, dismissal and a refusal to do the job properly in return. I cannot express how stressful and scary this experience was for me. I cannot in good faith ever book Bellhop again because I cannot be sure that I will receive the help I paid for and more importantly, that I will be safe. I especially caution single women against booking this company.

Their customer service is a nightmare to deal with and after all the damage they caused they only refunded me $120 on a 5.5k move. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!!

I typically refrain from lengthy reviews, but our appalling experience with Bellhop compels me to warn others. This moving company, which presented itself as professional and reliable, turned our long-distance move from Los Angeles to Seattle into a complete nightmare. Pre-Move Promises vs. Reality: Upon booking, I discussed specific requirements with a Bellhop representative, Jamie **. I was assured that our movers would be Bellhop employees, in uniform, using a Bellhop truck, and equipped to handle a long-distance move with all necessary supplies. Instead, what followed was a cascade of misinformation and chaos:

Confirmed Moving Date Changed: We were informed at the last minute that our moving date was not guaranteed. Movers Unprofessional: The movers, who arrived in an Enterprise truck, were subcontracted, not Bellhop employees. They lacked professionalism, appearing disheveled and unprepared. Lack of Supplies: The movers had insufficient blankets and no proper packing materials, forcing us to use our own resources.

Day of the Move: The moving day was rife with stress and mismanagement: Incorrect Timing: Confusion over the scheduled time due to a timezone mix-up, causing unnecessary panic. Unprepared and Unprofessional Staff: The team leader brought his toddler to the job site, contributing further to the unprofessional atmosphere. The movers were inadequately prepared, with minimal moving supplies. Constant Threats of Insufficient Space: We were repeatedly warned that our belongings might not fit, despite prior moves having no such issues.

Post-Move Issues: Avoidance by Bellhop Representatives: Attempts to contact the Bellhop representative who arranged our move were futile. Empty Promises: Conversations with the CEO and other supervisors during the move promised resolutions that never materialized. Severe Damage and Carelessness: Our belongings were carelessly handled; not properly wrapped or secured, resulting in significant damage.

Conclusion: This move was marked by a severe lack of professionalism, preparedness, and honesty. What was advertised as a stress-free and efficient service turned out to be a distressing ordeal, with movers who seemed barely more capable than if we had hired random people off the street. The experience was so far from what was promised that it felt like a blatant case of false advertising.

Demands for Resolution: We have captured extensive video evidence and possess all relevant communications. We are seeking full reimbursement for the move and compensation for damages, which we estimate to be at least $10,000. Final Thoughts: If you value your belongings and peace of mind, I strongly advise against using Bellhop. This experience was not only stressful but also deeply disappointing from a company that claims to be a leader in the industry.

Bellhop Moving Services LLC dba United First Class Moving and Storage. HORRIBLE! LIARS, INCOMPETENT, DON'T CARE! This has to be the worst commercial experience of my entire life. United promised the moon, delivered a nightmare. We contracted with United for $1500 for 364 cu ft to move my wife's stuff from Utah to California; pickup on April 17, deliver on April 20 give or take a day. At first they set us up with Alpha Moving. Their driver had warrants, got in jail, truck got impounded, etc., lost a week. Then United, without our approval, switched us to Good Move USA, which turned out to be worse.

Good Move picked up on April 28. It turned out (according to the driver) that my wife's stuff was like 3 or 5 times more than the original estimate. United did an absolutely terrible job on the estimate. RICK and AUSTIN are to blame for that. Austin was the one communicating with my wife – he got the video she sent of her stuff, and he should have made it clear that she had 4 to 5 times more stuff than the original estimate. He did not. Incompetent, didn’t care.

We left out a bunch of items planned for the move, and finally added 200 cu ft to the original 364 cu ft. They did new pricing and added a bunch of charges that were NOT on the original estimate, and the total at that point was $4041.52. The driver couldn’t negotiate the deal – that’s not his job. It was Sun afternoon, and we were basically stuck, so Holly’s brother in law wrote a check for $1770.76 (Holly had to leave for California several days earlier because we had our wedding planned for May 4 and it was getting down to the wire). I figured I could work it out with United later. Wrong…

United has never taken any responsibility. WHAT A HORRIBLE COMPANY. GOOD MOVE did not send our stuff by May 3. Then followed a nightmare of no communication, bad service, many additional charges, etc., from Good Move. I contact United many times to try to address the situation, but all I got was resistance from BROOKS, the “customer service” person. SHE WAS AWFUL!!! We never got a new contract from Good Move, and so I assumed the same deal was in place that we made with United, but no. That was NOT the case. Each time I tried to discuss the matter with Brooks, she kept repeating, “You signed the Bill of Lading so that’s it.” Etc. I was finally told to email the owner COURTNEY, and I did, twice. I never got a response from her.

GOOD MOVE was a worse nightmare. I spoke to RENEE many times. She was incredibly condescending, and couldn’t promise any type of schedule (“Mr Glen, this is logistics… we can’t tell you what the schedule is. We can only call you 24 hrs ahead of time…” etc. Etc. Etc.). They kept holding our stuff, delaying, charging us for storage, adding more charges not in the estimate, more delays, etc. At one point, after they promised that they were sending the truck that day, and after we had paid even more (by then we were up to $4600), they did not communicate for 2 ½ weeks. I called, left messages, talked to AMANDA. She promised to speak to the owner, never got back to me… EVER… I asked Renee if I could email the company and I did, NEVER got a response.

I was desperate so I tracked down the owner (maybe absentee owner?) BENJAMIN ** in Florida. I called him and he promised they would deliver. I had to call back again and he said they would deliver in a few days. We also got our attorney involved, and they called Good Move and spoke to them. I also contacted the Colorado Attorney General’s office and they offered to follow up and I left messages with Good Move and My Mingle that we were starting legal action and would get a criminal investigation going.

Finally after all that pressure, they called (and blamed us for all the problems), said we had to pay $600 more money, which we did, and that we would owe another $900 when the truck showed up. The truck came on July 2. The driver said we had to pay another $1400, but I was able to convince him that some of the charges (shuttle, etc) were already paid for previously (and they were) so we paid $1000 and got the stuff… But… as he unloaded, we then found out that the two twin mattresses ($1100) were missing. Since then, we’ve discovered many more items missing, including 3 garment bags of my wife’s dresses, vases, sewing materials, office stuff, etc. With a total value of $2,150. Not to mention the personal value of the items.

The final amount we had to spend was $6100. And we didn’t get a lot of stuff we had in the original estimate, AND a lot of stuff that was put on the truck never made it. But Good Move didn’t care, won’t communicate, etc. On the phone with the driver and myself and my wife, RENEE called me (and said, “I hope he can hear this.”) a “conniving con artist.” WHAT A BUNCH OF CRIMINALS, RUDE, DISHONEST, AND INCOMPENTENT AS WELL.

HORRIBLE!!! On 4/26/24 I contracted with Bellhop Moving to move me 2 miles away on 5/31/24 with a start time between 2-3 pm. I paid a deposit of $102 at that time to reserve my move. At 8:30 am on 5/31, they called and said they wouldn't arrive until 3 pm because their first move was running long. I told them that was fine and then at 3:30 pm they called again saying they would have to reschedule me because they no longer had a truck or driver for me. Rescheduling was not an option for me as I had to be out of my old apartment that same day and I would have made that clear at the time of booking and/or not booked them had they simply been upfront about rescheduling being a possibility.

After numerous calls, they finally told me that they could still provide me with movers but that I would have to rent my own truck and find my own driver. At ~4 pm, they said my new movers would arrive no later than 5 pm. The 2 movers arrived an hour late at 6 pm and finished my move at ~11:30 pm. These guys were great but my move was not a 2 man job! I was told I'd have a crew of 3 but only got 2 and naturally the move took longer than it should have, however, Bellhop won't work with me to cut any labor hours off of my final bill. I also had to pay for renting a Uhaul, driver, and transportation to/from the Uhaul rental location out of pocket which I believe Bellhop should reimburse me for. The only accommodation they made was not charging me $150 for a truck and driver, but my total costs associated with procuring my own exceeded that by nearly $300.

I contacted them asking for a partial credit and they didn't respond. They should reimburse my out-of-pocket costs and cut some of the labor hours since they didn't fulfill all of the obligations they committed to: provide me a truck and driver, start my move between 2 and 3 pm, and send a crew of 3. Not to mention the emotional stress of this move! I'd give 0 stars if possible - DO NOT BOOK THEM!

WARNING, BUYER BEWARE!!! (Bellhop Moving Company, and/or via Offerpad "Free Local Move Service")... I recently sold my home in Forsyth county to Offerpad. Offerpad provided a "free local move" for using their service, which they contract out to Bellhop moving. I only used this service to get my furniture and items from the house down into the U-Haul Boxes pod-like containers I rented. The movers arrived, a group of young men in their late teens or early 20's I imagine, who seem to have been sub-contracted by Bellhop moving. They got most of the items wrapped and moved out in an orderly fashion, but on the last container issues arose.

#1) They did not wrap nor put available moving blankets over or around the two bedframes that went into this pod, leaving them exposed to damages. #2) (Most important), the group did not have an appliance dolly with them and so they attempted to move the Kenmore Elite refrigerator by hand. They dropped it several times, dragged it and scratched it, left dents into it. It hit the face of one of them when they dropped it, and left a gash in the finger of another a second time it was dropped. By the time they got it into the pod it was severely scratched on both sides, with dents on the front stainless steel frame.

Bellhop made the matter worse! I took pictures once I noticed that this wasn't going well (see attached) and later on with assistance I removed items to get better pictures of the fridge. I submitted a claim about the damages to Bellhop ASAP. They came back ONLY offering me $150.00 for the fridge, because their policy is $0.60 on the pound for damages. Of course, this base policy is ridiculous for a multitude of reasons! A) I was not offered extended coverage, told about extended coverage, or offered movers insurance because I was not the customer (Offerpad was). B) $0.60 per pound means that they do not take into consideration items inherent value based on craftsmanship, quality of materials, technology, etc. Or essentially, they do not base recovery on an items MSRP or cost to replace.

I naturally complained about being offered this amount, and was offered an additional $150 ($300 total) as Goodwill compensation, likely because I had submitted a claim to the BBB by that time and they were getting involved. They refused to budge on this amount, and to make matters worse their claims process indicates that you either accept their terms within 2 business days or risk forfeiting your claim entirely... Otherwise if you don't accept their claim within 2 days then you lose the meager/nominal compensation that they are offering you entirely.

The response from their marketing team via the BBB's services was essentially 'We are sorry this inconvenienced you, but we are sticking to our policy and not reimbursing you more. Too bad, so sad that you lost your fridge' (see exact response below). I certainly hope that no one loses a TV, or has expensive jewelry damaged in a move, because at $0.60 per pound you are going to lose out! I've pasted their responses in email as well as thru the BBB as well for reference. Please don't make the mistake I did. You may choose to either forego Offerpad if the free move through Bellhop is a point of consideration, or ensure that you read the fine print and purchase your own extended coverage or movers insurance because they aren't going to tell you about it if you aren't the paying customer!

The most important omitted fact on any long distance move provided by Bellhop is weight restrictions. By evaluating your inventory and assessing number of trucks, Bellhop will only consider size of items. When quoting a fixed price contract they will not mention any type of weight limitations. After the move has begun and you are no longer available to make alternative arrangements they will often call "requiring" another truck and additional crew. Increases your cost by 50%. Much better to get a quote from a full service mover that uses 18 wheelers.

Horrible experience!!!! Nothing was wrapped as promised! Every single item (being very SERIOUS) that they loaded was damaged/broken/scratched etc. They told me that they would place covers/blankets and wrap my items but they didn't wrap ANYTHING!!! Also, all of them were late and nobody knew for about an hour where the truck driver was?! Telling me I had to call their office and either request if the driver will show or reschedule my move. Very unprofessional given the fact that they confirmed with me the night before via text that they would all be at my location at 8AM, they didn't show up until 9-9:30AM. Once they reach my new destination they were supposed to unload at 2PM the driver was there sleeping in his truck and talking on the phone while we were waiting the rest of the crew.

Called me at 2.15PM to tell me they were 15mins away....ANOTHER LIE!!! They didn't show up until 3.30PM and when they opened the truck all my items were DAMAGED as mentioned earlier. Had to take pics of everything and file a claim! Lily with their claim team tried to offer me $264 to replace my entire bedroom (bed/armoire/tv chest) as well as my marble table and kitchen table..ALL of them DAMAGED!! Not sure what the $264 would cover??? Very INSULTING!!! The "Manager" JACK increased the amount to $400 and it was either take it or leave it offer and he did mention that he's the only one and nobody else above him to rectify my issue since his boss what on maternity leave and he was making the calls, his words where "our intent isn't to replace your items but to just provide a credit".

To replace all my items would be $8K so the $400 doesn't buy me a bed or half of my stuff they damaged. I asked them to take the bed and damaged items with them since I wouldn't be able to use and the truck driver refused to do so since he had another job and he had nothing to do with those items, not wanting them on his truck...NOW I have to find another company to dispose those items since they don't fit in my car to move them from my house that they left here, even though their rep. Michael ** said they would take them with them since they broke them!!! STAY AWAY!!! WORST COMPANY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR STUFF!!!

Disappointing Experience with Bellhop Moving. I strongly advise against using Bellhop Moving. Initially, the booking agent seemed friendly and accommodating, but the experience quickly turned sour. They subcontracted the job to another company without transparency, resulting in communication issues and unexpected fees. Changing the move window by a mere two hours became an ordeal, with delayed responses and unexplained rate changes. Despite my efforts to resolve issues with their operations team, I was met with indifference and lack of follow-up. Even when canceling the reservation two weeks in advance due to these issues, they refused to refund the deposit. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience.

If I could give no stars, I would. Bellhop moved some of our heavier items (washer/dryer, 2 fridges, a treadmill, etc) in July 2023. The truck was almost 40 minutes late arriving because Bellhop dispatch sent them the wrong address. The team arrived with no tools (blankets, straps, furniture or appliance dollies, etc.) so they were ill equipped to handle a move of any kind.

One of their movers dropped our washing machine not once but TWICE. The first time, I was assured the washer was fine/not damaged, the second time, the mover dropped to the ground and rolled around on the ground like a scalded dog because he dropped (not placed) the washer on his toe (this was not the first of his dramatic outbursts). Not only did they drop the washer, they dropped a $1,500 treadmill on hardwood floors, they also dropped and damaged a cherry chest of drawers. The driver assisted intermittently to keep the team on schedule, which ended up being a failed endeavor as it took them 10+ hours to complete the move.

I am now battling back and forth with their customer service team lead, Jack Dent, regarding the broken washer. He is useless and has given no actual resolution to the problem. An initial claim was filed against the other items, which had noticeable damage. That claim was "closed" and Bellhop is refusing to address the issue of the broken washing machine (the entire drum was broken away from the inside of the washer, due to their negligence) because the first claim was closed. We were not aware of any damage to the washer since it was placed in storage, by their movers, with the assurance it had not been damaged in their possession. Bottomline - do NOT do business with the movers at Bellhop if you have any desire for your items to arrive unscathed and in working order. Run far and run fast.

David packed the truck like a jigsaw puzzle and was an expert at it, CJ and Trey and Jamie went above and beyond for us. I hope we never move again but I will remember you for next time.

Don't expect any compensation for damages or even a proper acknowledgment of them. Several of our belongings were damaged in the move and we were directed to file a claim online, but we've only received automated responses, no communication from an actual human, and no resolution after several weeks. The loading crew that showed up on our move-out date was not uniformed and not all of them were there on time. They also did not present any paperwork, refused to scan the code Bellhop told us they would need, and complained about their own interactions with Bellhop when pressed about it. They did not pack our items securely or use adequate furniture pads either, which we believe resulted in some of the damage that occurred. They also partly tore off the mattress bag our Bellhop agent told us we would have to provide, and the mattress arrived filthy and damaged as well.

The trucking service seemed fine, with a timely arrival at both loading and unloading locations. The unloading crew were also fine, at least in comparison to the loading crew. They did their best to tape the mattress cover back together before any further damage occurred, though they did add some minor damage to another piece of furniture by allowing part of it to fall off the truck deck when trying to handle too many pieces at once. The majority of our belongings did arrive on time and undamaged, so this wasn't an absolutely horrible experience, but Bellhop was not the cheapest of our options, and we chose them because we thought we were getting superior service for the added expense. I'm left wishing we had saved the money and gone with a cheaper competitor.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent move with Bellhop. We're truly sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your relocation, and we appreciate your candidness in detailing your experience.

First and foremost, we want to extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by the damages to your belongings. We understand how frustrating it can be to have items damaged during a move. Our claims department has been actively working to address your concerns and has provided a settlement offer for the damages. We're committed to resolving this matter promptly and to your satisfaction.

We also regret that your initial experience with the loading crew did not meet your expectations. We take this feedback seriously and will use it as an opportunity for improvement. We have protocols in place to ensure our teams are uniformed and adhere to professional standards, and it's disappointing to hear that this was not the case during your move-out date.

Regarding the communication and interactions with our teams, we will investigate this further to ensure that our crews are better informed and prepared for all aspects of the move, including paperwork and procedures.

We appreciate your positive comments about our trucking service, including the timely arrivals and the efforts of the unloading crew. However, we understand that this does not fully compensate for the issues you encountered during the loading process.

Overall, had a good experience. The movers were professional and worked carefully and efficiently. Only inconvenience was my move was scheduled for 2pm and the movers did not arrive until 4:30. Derrick was in contact with me and let me know about their delays. When they arrived, they apologized and explained that their previous job ran over time, but it greatly delayed the moving plans I had made. Luckily my apartment was able to accommodate the delay and moved my loading dock and freight elevator reservation. I was frustrated by the delay, but I overall had a good experience. I just feel like if you schedule 2 jobs in a day, there needs to be an established end-time for the first job or a different team needs to be sent to the second job if the first one runs over.
