Lance and his team are in time, hardworking and reliable. They’re the best! I highly recommend Lance and his team to other consumers. I wish there are more movers like them, making our lives easier & smoother. Bellhop is lucky to have these peeps in their company. Thank you!

This was the absolute best move ever! The two young men, John and Sean were courteous, friendly and efficient. They were proficient at moving both big bulky items and delicate items. They were true professionals and I would absolutely use Bellhop again and I highly recommend them.

I was kept informed from my first call to Bellhop to completion of the job. Pricing was explained from the first call, no surprises! Bellhop workers showed up on time and completed the job well within the time allotted! Work was done professionally, care and a sense of urgency!
James, thank you so much for the wonderful review!
I chose Bellhop because they were listed on the POD website for a fast and dependable company, and they were! The team they sent me were amazing got the job done in less time than was allotted! They were great, I would and will go through them again when I get to the other side of the country!! Thank you again.
Lynda, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
I booked with Bellhop and needed a safe, furniture, and several boxes moved. When I booked I listed the safe and that it’s 500 pounds. Their website says for items over 200 pounds, book 3 people, which I did. I booked, and then I received an email stating it was confirmed. When the movers arrived, they were not aware of the safe and said they could not move it. The movers called Bellhop and were told I would receive a call in 10 minutes. That was around 11:30 am, I didn’t get a call until 2:36 pm, well after the movers had left. Multiple people tried arguing with me that their terms of service state they don’t move items over 300 lbs. That is false, that terms of service state they are not liable for damages for items over 300 lbs.
I was finally told this was stated in the FAQ…which I never encountered when booking. I also asked why I put in notes the safe and the weight of it and the booking was still confirmed, to which I was told they don’t always read that. I was given a partial refund, which I thought was fair. What I don’t think is fair, even though Bellhop charges a 2 hour minimum, the movers don’t get paid a 2 hour minimum…even if they finish early because they can’t move everything. We were also told the movers were notified they had a job the morning of the move, but I was told who my team was the day before. The guys who moved our things were very hardworking and did a great job. Just very disappointed in the experience with Bellhop itself.

Very satisfied with the communication and helpfulness of the service team. Both Bellhop associates Jose and Kevin treated the items with care and were very concerned about effectiveness of packing the truck to ensure nothing broke and all fit into the back. Thank you!
Matthew, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re proud to have moving pros like Jose and Kevin on our team. We wish you the best as you continue to settle into your new home!
My movers were the Best. They were fast, strong, kind and respectful to all of my needs and stuff that needed moving. I could never say how much we appreciate the move they did for us. Very careful with everything. An awesome bunch of people. Thank you to all.
Sheila, thank you for the fantastic review!
At first, the crew did a wonderful job. They were on time, efficient, and great to work with. However as we got settled, we noticed more and more damage to our belongings. A scratched table, bent furniture knobs, and a drawer that had been split from the dresser. I appreciated the moving service, but would likely choose a different company in the future.

They were great! Everything went smoothly. The staff was professional and respectful. The online communication and online payment was easy. The scheduling was easy. I am very happy with their service. I would highly recommend them. Plus I liked having a referral from our real estate agent.
Joanne, thank you for sharing your positive moving experience with us. We hope you are enjoying your new place!
The move was handled professionally. The communication was great. The two men who moved me was kind, careful with my things and efficient. I would use this service again in the future. The convenience of booking online made things smooth and I booked the move late at night on a weekend.
Tracy, thank you for taking the time to share your fantastic moving experience with us!
The team did a great job - fast, efficient and careful - they were definitely experienced and skillful and worked well together. Arrived on time and finished on schedule. Will most definitely use again to move the furniture back after construction.
Jeff, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re proud to have great workers on our team. We wish you the best as you continue to settle into your new home!
Half the team didn't show. Could only move a few items. Still got charged for a 5 man team and have to reschedule to move again. The guys that did show up were great but not worth the amount I paid at all.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are deeply sorry for the terrible experience you had with our company. This is not how we strive to treat our customers, and we are taking immediate steps to address the issues you've raised.
We have investigated your claim and have taken appropriate action to ensure that this does not happen again in the future. We have also reviewed our pricing policy to make sure that all charges are transparent and fair.
Please know that we take full responsibility for the problems you experienced and we are committed to making things right. We have already offered compensation for the extra charges and the inconvenience caused, and we hope that this will help to resolve the issue.
The team showed up on time. They were very polite and got right to work. All four workers made a point of introducing themselves to us. They were very careful with my furnishings - but were still efficient. We had some odd items and some very heavy items - but they tackled them with no problem. I would gladly recommend them.
Margie, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
1. They promised mattress covers - none provided, most of the mattresses looked like they had been drug through the mud. We had to hand clean them.
2. They didn't have a clue how to pack a truck (or too lazy to do it right?) We moved twice in 6 months. First move we fit everything into 2 trucks. Then we sold a significant amount of furniture (an entire dining room set for 8 with a china cabinet and sideboard, an upright freezer, 3 dressers, 2 outdoor rubbermaid storage things, 1 couch, 1 bed...) so we had much less to move. Bellhop's movers couldn't do the much smaller amount in 2.5 trucks! So, w are renting a Uhaul this weekend so my family can finish the move we paid Bellhop to do.
3. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my instructions. A list of things that absolutely must be moved... Uhaul truck this weekend.
5. Moving in the rain sucks! So move quickly. When you take it off the truck put it right into the garage or the house right? They left furniture, couches, chairs, and very expensive hand and electric wood working tools to sit out in the rain. Any idea how long it takes to dry out pillows, cloth couches and chairs? Or to sand the rust off boxes of hand tools?
6. Moving 101 - put the boxes and furniture in the room the client tells you to put them in.
The one and ONLY time we will use Bellhop.

Hired the company because I had to relocated as a effect of the floods in July. Found out the structure was ruined in my home. Hired 4, 3 showed. They tore up everything we had left from the door off the fridge to washer dryer new dining table chairs. Coffee table workers cussed us, stole from us. We had to make a police report. The company knew about this. I phoned them numerous times begging them to stop the move. The movers showed up with no plastic wrap for my furniture. I had to leave my house to go purchase some. They didn’t move all my items. I had to pay 300 to rent a Uhaul truck after the move to store my remaining items they left. I was initially quoted 1250. Bellhop said it went over the allotted time and changed the price to 1800. I told them these workers moved at their own pace and took breaks. They said, "We will take 500 off after boosting it to 1800 only for it to be at the original price.
I said, "But you boosted the price." Oh Kristin the manager even told he the movers did not wrap my items like asked she would terminate them. She phoned the workers. They laughed at her and began stating they had other jobs and could care less. They stood on my food cooler. The short mover did to unscrew my fridge prior to ripping the door off and denting it. I have holes in my walls as they didn’t use a dolly nor pack the truck correctly. They tore up my items more bringing them in the storage as well. They used explicit language speaking to us we were traumatized. After pleading with the company to stop the move during the move the company said no. Bellhop sent a Megan to try to get me to take 386.00 for my items being damaged, which I told her goodbye! There was thousands of dollars of furniture damaged why would you call me asking me that.
She said, "You won't get much in claims and should take my offer and not file a claim." They said I owed 457 and until I pay it my claims would not even be filed. I phoned them to pay the 457. A guy said I didn’t owe anything.. only for me to be told at a later date I did. They told me they played the call back and he did not say that they said they would send me the call. Never sent it because they were lying. This company destroyed all we had left, they did not include all the damage I included in my claim. Only covered a few items with a payout offer of 386.00. They really tried to offer me 170.00 for a 2,000 fridge they tore off.
In Total they offered me 386.00 for tearing up my headboards, footboards, coffee table, dining chairs, sitting chairs, oversized glass mirror, fridge, washer. They sat my white sofa pillows on my fireplace bare where dirt firewood etc was, now they need to be cleaned and I should never have to leave to purchase stretch wrap as they had none. Sure I have more items damaged but the way they packed my storage I can’t get to other items. Had they used stretch wrap some of my items may have been saved. It was traumatizing as my family watched in horror disbelief after already being traumatized by the disaster. I phoned the company several times. They did nothing during that move.

This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered. The movers don't care about your personal and valuable items. Their customer service team is rude and they should not be in business.

I recently used a Google-certified moving partner, Bellhop Moving and they severely damaged my $1900 television during the move. I've followed up on the claim I filed with them (with pictures, video and receipts) 3 times since 10/1 when the claim was filed. The move happened 9/27 - 9/28. I paid $4K for the move and expected them to cover the damages to the television. After being put off for 2 weeks, I've been told that they will not cover the cost of the TV, but offered me $50. What a joke. Now I'm out $6K.

If I could, I'd purchase a highway billboard for the sole purpose of telling people not to use this company. I hired Bellhop for a small move 5 minutes from my current home. I love the UI experience and was so impressed with the modern scheduling (so many moving companies are old school). I scheduled about a month in advance of my move. Less than 24 hours before my move, Bellhop called me and left a voicemail. They then sent me an email saying that they couldn't assemble a team for my move and asked if I'd be okay rescheduling my move for 10 days later. They told me on a Sunday (everything is closed), so I had to call 30+ companies and pay extra to find a company who would move me on such short notice.
While the customer service team did seem sorry, they did not seem to understand how difficult it is to reschedule a move 24 hrs before it happens. Moving is literally always time-sensitive. They did not seem to be trained in how to deescalate angry customers. They apologized, but offered nothing to make it right. I even said "please give me a reason to not leave a bad review, because I hate doing this and want to be able to recommend you" and they said "well, you do what you have to do." and offered to refund me, but that was it. I have moved several times with "old school" companies, and never have had someone cancel less than 24 hours before my move. This company made me angry cry (not pretty), pay extra, and did not do anything to make it better. Using Bellhop will make your move even more stressful than it already is.
Emily, we really appreciate your feedback and we apologize for having to reschedule and cancel your order. It is highly unusual for us to be unable to fulfill a move at the original time, and we hate that we experienced fulfillment problems with your reservation.
We tried our best to solve the problem yet due to the sudden nature of the case it was out of our hands, we would love to help you in the future and if your heart is big enough to give us a second chance we'll show you our best and offer a discounted rate to reiterate we care for you.
After setting up a move for over a month with this company, 10 days before the move we got a call from customer services saying their system allowed a double booking and that we were going to reschedule us for the following week! We have to have the house empty by the July 31st. The move was set up for July 30th... We asked them to do the move any day before from Tuesday to Saturday and they came back saying no, they didn't have anyone for it! After the last phone call conversation they just cancelled our move, they keep on saying they care and felt bad but the bottom line was that they left us without a mover and now we have to try to scramble to see if we can find anyone that can do the move for us!!! Horrible experience!!! I would not recommend this company to anyone.. Please be aware they can cancel and leave you hanging!!!!

Where to start complaining about this TERRIBLE experience with BELLHOP!!!
1. I hired the service and the quote was for 4 hours. It took them 10 hours to complete the job. Complete messed up my preparations, and I had to lose an entire day because of this poor planning.
2. The movers were slow, we're not careful with my furniture. I have many furniture pieces broken, lost or scratched. I could see them throwing my furniture around, kicking pieces that fell on the floor. But this is not the least of the problems!
3. They disassembled my couch and kitchen table to move. That is ok. But I read from the website that Bellhop will assemble it back. Well, they didn't. I asked them not to re-assemble the couch and I needed to know where to put it, but the kitchen was never put back in place. I had to do it myself this morning. The worst part is that they never gave me the screws, the bolts. I have no idea where they are. I had to go and buy new ones. There are parts of the couch that I do not know where they are and I can't assemble it back on.
4. They wrapped some of the first but not all. However, waking by the apartments today I FOUND ONE PIECE OF FURNITURE HIDDEN in a far area of the apartments in the 1st floor. I moved to the 4th, they came in through the 2nd. There was NO REASON for it to be there. The only conclusion is that they hid it there because they broke the window glass door.
5. I learned during the day that they had another move scheduled for 2pm, but it was clear they wouldn't do the work in time. So they cancelled. That, which makes me assume they dragged their work to make it last the entire day and make their profit at my expenses.
6. All the time while moving things they would be talking with family members on the phone, stopped to check up on social networks. No wonder it took so long.
7. The truck driver had to jump on and help to get it done before 7pm (started at 830am). And in the end I was helping move the last loads of furniture.
It was a total disaster. I will do all I can not to have anyone else use bellhop again. Terrible, TERRIBLE experience.

Warning! Steer clear of this unprofessional and unethical company. Where do I begin? First, they took an unauthorized withdrawal of $483 from my account when I made it explicitly clear that I was only paying the initial deposit for a friend. When they showed up, they were clueless as to our agreement to deliver to two locations, and they refused to do so. After loading everything onto the truck, they threatened to unload it unless we agreed to just one delivery location. When we expressed our frustration with their failure to act according to our agreement, they threatened to unload everything.
So we said "OK just deliver it to one location and we would deal directly with their management." But they spitefully decided to dump the whole job and took everything off the truck, and we were forced to find another moving company. The manager called me and said they were willing to take off one hour, but still charge for two. I had to contact my bank and file a fraud claim because they were never authorized in the first place to take the money out of my account. These folks may advertise bargain basement prices, but they also deliver bargain basement service. Do not trust them, they will screw you over with impunity and leave you hanging - they do not care.

Only two movers showed up for the scheduled move. They were careless with my belongings which resulted in multiple damages. The compensation for those damages was insulting and caused me to have to pay a ton of money to have items replaced, fixed, and or cleaned. Offer Pad scheduled another move, but it was not until two days later which caused me a lot of issues on my transition between homes. I had to take off two days’ work to make up for the lost time.
Day two movers were better, but they did not get all my belongings moved and just left with a "sorry". Not acceptable and once again caused me to have to pay more money to hire another moving company to complete the job. Bellhop was what was provided to me through Offer Pad. I will never use or recommend Bellhop for anything! This "free" move ended up costing me more than what I would have paid for an independent mover that actually cared and could provide quality service. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Absolutely worst and I mean worst moving company ever. My fiancee used them three times prior without ever an issue.... Not this time. Prior to us moving we found out that they contract long distance moves to a third party driver and only provide the manpower...Not what was told to us during our booking. Our day was set up for March 24th, 2022. At 8:00 a.m. They guaranteed it would be to its destination by the 31st. Bellhops called a few days prior to ask if the driver could get there on the 1st instead.... Didn't really have a choice, so we agreed.
That morning, Three out of the four movers showed up, and the owner of the moving truck showed up a little earlier than them. Everything started out good and they were professional in uniform, with a great personality. They began to move our stuff fast and took care. About an hour later the 4th individual showed up. Look like he just rolled out of bed with no uniform on and looked like he hadn't showered in a few days. This particular gentleman did barely any work. Let the other three move everything around while he huffed and puffed and sat around most of the time doing a poor shrink wrap job on tiny pieces of furniture.
The gentleman then decided about an hour into helping move all our stuff into the truck that he was going to light up a joint and smoke pot on the front of our property. Now while it is legal in the state we moved from, our realtor and buyer were supposed to show up at any given time. And just because it's legal doesn't mean it's okay to do that on somebody's property.
Things started to get slightly worse in the afternoon. The movers started to slack off and take their time....Pieces of furniture were not being wrapped properly and they were starting to be careless with boxes and furniture. They did not have enough shrink wrap, so I had to run to U-Haul and buy it out of my own pocket. They had no dolly, and a huge Tangled ball of straps that they used to strap our stuff into the truck. What really took the cake this day was that my wife had medication that was taken out of the kitchen drawer, deliberately. Even after we bought them lunch, tipped them and helped them move to make it easier. At the end of the first day the truck got loaded, and we came out to the driver pulling away without even locking the back door!
The arrival was FAR worse. The truck was on time at 11am, however the 4 workers that were supposed to be there at 11....didn't show up on time. Instead only 3 workers showed up, and they all showed up 45 min late, without warning. We had our stuff put into a storage unit,.because we are buying a house. According to the very nice people at the units, the workers showed up...yet again disheveled, no uniform, and were climbing the fence to get into the unit, rather than call or go to the office. The movers also gave the site staff issues multiple times prompting them to call us ...
We had to get a second storage unit, because the workers didn't pack the unit correctly. So this is now costing us an additional $300 a month due to their sloppy, half done work. Had it been packed properly we could have done with one unit....Instead, they just threw out stuff into the unit, put heavy boxes on top of fragile and Glass.
We had boxes marked with orange tape that we made our long distance coordinator FULLY AWARE, needed to be put in the front of the unit. Not a single box was put into the front of the unit. Between the loading, unloading and transit....damaged approximately $10,000 worth of our stuff. We had to spend two days unpacking the unit, going through every box, taking photos and repacking the unit. Defeating the whole purpose of hiring movers. What was Bellhop's response? They are still giving us a run around with claims and beating around the bush. Our "claim" was supposed to take 1-3 days....It's been well over that.
Now on April 21st, it's been almost a month of dealing with this company. We called, and tried to handle this with our long distance coordinator however he just went MIA...So we called and filed complaint after complaint. Got a different person every single time. Kept getting told...someone will call us back. Someone will get back to us. Having to explain ourselves every time. Absolutely disgusting customer service. No one is on the same page and the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.
After calling 15+ times and constantly keeping on top of them, we were refunded approximately $900 for the inconveniences. We filed a claim with more than 60 photos....However our "claim" settle offer was a whopping $995, which we don't agree with. They don't replace or repair, they reimburse based on "weight"....1000000% an absolute joke of a company. They may be great for short moves, but not for long ones. We will continue to fight to get reimbursed for the damages, the service we paid for that was a joke and the time we have wasted with Bellhops....IT'S NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!!!

Was initially impressed with ease and cost of hiring Bellhop. When the college age crew showed up, I was initially impressed but quickly grew concerned when I noticed no to little effort was taken to protect the furniture or the newly painted walls as the Bellhop workers removed my belongings. I expressed my concerns to the team lead. Despite this, furniture was still put in the moving van without any blankets, etc. to protect them from impact/rub marks. As a result, the furniture arrived at my new residence (~20 miles away), with multiple dents/scratches to every piece of a new solid cherry bedroom set and living room tables. A knob in my front loader washer was damaged and the dryer was dented as was the laundry room wall. There were also various scratches and dents to the newly painted walls and trim of our new house.
Most concerning was the workers' attempt to hide the fact that one of them let a dovetail drawer fall out of a table while unloading it. This resulted in the door being significantly damaged. He attempted to hide the damage by placing the drawer back into the table. I was only alerted when a neighbor told me he saw it happened and watched the workers laugh as they attempted to hide the damage. I will note that I have moved multiple times over the years with most being long haul moves. The amount of damage caused by Bellhop Movers far exceeded the total of ALL of my prior moves by a significant amount. In fact, on each of my prior moves, any damage (if any) was so insignificant that I did not even bother to mention it to the movers.

Mover Beware! My experience with Bellhop includes movers showing up 24 hours late, not using any blankets or pads (which I found out on delivery), and a whole household of items destroyed. Broken nightstands, dressers, tables, and chairs. To top it off, I received a credit of $403 for my damaged goods. A supposedly standard $0.60 per pound. My damages are likely $9,000 in fairness, so the $403 is a joke. I heard from my move coordinator Joan one time, 3 hours after my movers were supposed to start. She was out of office during my entire move and didn’t bother responding to any calls or texts.
The customer helpline phone number isn’t answered, by the way. Bellhop will tell you that they are short staffed. I have an apartment full of broken furniture. Bellhop May be cheaper than the alternative, but it is most definitely not worth it. Good concept. Horrible execution. And even worse customer service. They are not motivated by your dissatisfaction.

Completely unprofessional: They dragged and knocked furniture; the most hurtful thing is that they destroyed an expensive sentimental wedding gift that was barely 3 months old! The items were to be dropped in two separate locations so they were supposed to be arranged in the truck in a convenient way for the first stop, but they did not consider this at all! As a result, I am still stuck with stuff that was meant for the storage room in the new house and stuff that was meant for the house in the storage. The storage room is poorly packed as they literally THREW things, making it hard to access anything! Cabinets and lying on the side and I am worried I have more broken furniture and dresser-mirrors in the storage! I know accidents happen but the fact that they have gone totally silent on me means this is what they do. It is clear they only care about money!

Where to begin? Was it the fact that one of the movers left in the middle of the move? That Bellhops disassembled an entire room that I specifically told them would not be moved? Or the fact that they left in the middle of the move without finishing furniture assembly? Or was it the $1800 in damage they caused by running into our mailbox or over the irrigation unit in our yard? They also will not compensate for damages without getting an attorney involved. Don't walk... RUN.

My move was absolutely horrible due to Bellhop not the crew moving me. Prior to my move I went over my move on the phone and it was agreed I would need two trucks and a full crew to complete my move. On the day of my move only one truck showed up and not a full crew. We eventually started moving some stuff well past the start time because myself and the crew were attempting to find the other truck and movers. Finally, I was contacted by someone from Bellhop named Darren who didn’t really have any answers for me other than they would try to get two trucks and a full crew the next day. The moving crew loaded a few items to include three beds, clothes and two night stands so we would at least have a bed to sleep in and some clothes. The next day I had to take off work last minute because the move was not scheduled for this day.
Once again the truck shows up but once again there was only one. This is after myself and the team lead had communicated to Bellhop numerous times that the job would require two trucks and a full crew. Once again Darren at Bellhop had no answer for me and the crew had no answer. Meanwhile they load some stuff on the truck and take it to the new house until they can get an answer. We wait for hours with no response from Bellhop until I finally get a text that says the crew will rent a truck and finish the job that day. So now my entire day is up in the air because I’m delayed even longer. To make it worse one crew member left after the first trip. Then as the truck was unpacked another crew member left leaving me with only two people to do my move. Now with it late in the afternoon the two crew members left had not received any guidance whatsoever and we were all trying to get an answer from Bellhop.
Then we find out a truck was sent to the other house without anyone knowing and no crew. So we all drive over to that house and the original Bellhop truck leaves. This continues with no one from Bellhop helping me or ensuring I’m taken care of or following up with me. Actually, no one from Bellhop still has actually contacted me or addressed this horrible situation. This move continues until almost 8 pm. With me having to help load and unload items to ensure it gets done before it’s too late. Meanwhile my 4 year old son and wife who is 6 months pregnant can’t go to bed or relax because we are still moving stuff around the house. Not to mention that the trucks still had room in them and I still had to get a truck myself and move more items myself because Bellhop could not schedule or plan appropriately.
I was in the military for 12 years and have moved more times than most. This was by far the worst move I’ve ever had and I haven’t even begun to actually unpack to see if things were damaged. The worst part of it all was the nonexistent customer service and the still to date complete lack of care of anyone from the company about how horrible this move went. I hope no one ever has to use Bellhop again. This company does not take care of its crew members or its customers.
Chris, we really appreciate your feedback and we apologize for having to reschedule your order.
Simply, they were WONDERFUL! Caring about my furniture, my other items, friendly, extremely careful (heavy, extra large furniture) and extremely pleasant to work with! Would always recommend! Their quote and final charges were totally reasonable and within the expected range. Extremely happy with Bellhop!
Ellen, thank you for the fantastic review!
My company moved me from Dallas to Houston. My furniture and personal effects were in a truck by itself. Somehow or the other a box with my personal effects went missing. The items in that box to replace would cost thousands of dollar; their first offer was $100 and then decided $175 would be their final offer. Some government entity needs to regulate these moving companies. I would NEVER use BellHop again, and would NEVER encourage anyone else to.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -- I had a deplorable experience with Bellhop. They are using the old bait and switch… Estimate 4hrs at an attractive price, use an inexperienced team thereby doubling the time and cost at the risk of your pockets and your belongings. I used the company on October 16th 2021 to move 45 seconds away (literally) from one apartment building in the same complex to another. I was quoted 3 – 4 hrs based on the furniture and belongings. It took the team, 4 hours to load up the truck from the first location.
What should have been a 3 maybe 4 hour move, turned into an 8 hour move resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damage: a broken 55” TV, broken bed frame, broken fireplace TV stand, severely damaged bedroom suite, damaged dining room table, scratched and deeply chipped bookcase, broken lamp. Additionally, the items that had to be disassembled and reassembled at the new location were not reassembled correctly… HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not use this company.

Bellhop seemed more flexible with more hours and workers than other companies. They seemed like a bigger business. And I had already contacted some local businesses that were limited. That might have even been in June. And I was moving July 29, so I wanted to make sure I had a good window. The person on the phone was awesome. I talked to different people. The first time, I was given one quote. And the second time, I was given a different price based on the same move. So, I called back, and the second coordinator honored what the first coordinator told me, which was good. They changed the price back.
The crew was awesome. They were so kind. It specializes in college students and young people. The problem was I called customer service and left some information. It was not the crew’s fault. They were lovely. But that day, they had another move scheduled before mine, and it was supposed to take two hours. It would be my move that was scheduled for five hours. And that two-hour move before mine ended up being 10 hours according to the crew. Instead of coming at the original time of 2:00, they came at 6:30, and they worked until 11:30. Their arms and legs were shaking. They were worn out.
I felt grateful for all their effort. They did great. They continued to work hard and they did not complain. It was 100 degrees that day in Missouri. I tried to give them lots of icies and freezer pops. But I could tell that they were sloppier than they would have been because their bodies were tired. And it made me upset with the company. They should have rescheduled the move once it became so much later. I would have been happy to reschedule. I know that a lot of people can't do that. But if it meant a smoother move, I would have been great.
It started raining at 9:30. So, if I had movers at 2:00, and I was scheduled for five hours, we would have been done at 7:00 and it would have still been light outside. Instead, we were in the rain from 9:30 to 11:30. And all my boxes and furniture got wet. They wrapped it and worked hard, but it was awful. Just a bad luck day. I tried to make this so clear to Bellhop in my feedback. Because it was negative that the movers worked hard, and they were excellent. I wish I would have been their only move that day.
Just one thing, my couch, was damaged. It was a full-sized couch that I wanted to go down to the basement because my kids and I were getting a new one for the living room. And it was one of the last things because it was the biggest and heaviest item. It’s a sofa sleeper. It was one of the last things that the movers moved in because it was one of the first things put in the truck. So, by the time they got it through a basement door, they had to remove the door and it was narrower than I would have wanted. I felt bad for them. I had been so careful with the couch with my kids all these years, and it’s dilapidated now. I’m so sad about it, I haven’t even unwrapped it. Because it bums me out to look at it. It was raining, and they were more muddy than they would have been. The couch was damp and it picked up dirt as they got it down. And it's not their fault that it was a tight fit. The overall experience was bad. But how much do I blame the rain versus the other move? I blame the other move way more.
Shannon, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
The reps were courteous and our interactions were to the point and smooth. We ended up having to change around the time a bit, and they were more than happy to do that for us. Everything was perfect and we didn't have to do much at all. The crew were gentlemen and they were very nice.
Thank you, Ben! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
The team of three was good at what they did and they executed the plan quickly. Bellhop quickly looked at the things that needed to be moved and they crafted a plan. The loading and unloading happened fast. We moved from a single BHK to a new home. The move was over a distance of 16 miles. And it took them three hours to complete, which was nominal. So, it was a really good move. I contacted Bellhop two weeks before my move. So maybe I ended up on the higher side, the per hour rate. But I didn't mind at the time. I referred some friends of mine who said they planned their moves well ahead and they said they were able to get a good rate.
Maruthi, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
My brother told me to use Bellhop so I did and they were great. They took good care of what they moved. I asked them to move something out of the house when they moved stuff in, and they did a great job doing that. They were kind. However, we didn't like the fact that the driver did nothing. He literally drives the truck and that’s it. You would think he would be a third hand to help, but he didn’t. That was one thing we were surprised at. Also, the truck was 25 minutes late so the two men that moved the furniture were there but the truck was not. We signed out half-hour less because we were waiting for the truck to come. I got overcharged, but they fixed that.
Juliann, thank you for sharing your positive moving experience with us. We hope you are enjoying your new place! We're taking your opinion into account. Even tho drivers are only supposed to drive we'll look forward to ensuring their timely assistance by being always on time.
First and foremost, we had a discount that was going to be added, but somehow, I never got any discounts applied towards my travel. I work for Rocket Mortgage and Bellhop was on our benefit page portal. I thought, “Okay. Cool.” I like to use my work benefits. I let the representative know multiple times that I had a benefit discount code with me working with Rocket Mortgage, and they did not acknowledge anything at all.
When we moved, the Texas workers were phenomenal, but when we initially moved, the driver that moved us from Detroit to Texas didn't have any furniture padding or wrapping. Our furniture, once it got inside the truck, just sat there. The driver was moving from the trip, and everything was clashing together. A lot of our furniture was damaged beyond the $300 that Bellhop was trying to give me for reimbursement.
Bellhop was a terrible experience and trying to get reimbursed for damages that was done to our property during the move has been horrendous. We've been in Texas for almost three months, and I still haven't heard anything back from Bellhop as far as reimbursements after my rebuttal that I sent to them. I also paid $8,000 to move all of my stuff from Michigan to Texas, and the majority of my stuff was broken. If we had to do everything over again, I would not use any mover service. I would rather drive everything down myself and take care of the damages myself, which I ended up doing.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during your move. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our services for future customers. It's important to us that our customers have a positive experience with Bellhop, and we're sorry to hear that it wasn't perfect for you. Thank you again for choosing Bellhop, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.
We drove over three days from Chicago to Austin, Texas, but the truck got here in two days, so it's quick from a Bellhop perspective. Everyone was on time and they were good about letting us know ahead of time who they were. I like being able to see their pictures and names on the Bellhop platform to know who I was looking for. It was a seamless move and nothing was damaged. They unloaded and loaded everything super quickly, so everything was great. I'd definitely use them again. They were the easiest and least expensive option I found. Also, the reps were responsive, open to jumping on calls just to ask a bunch of questions, and very transparent with pricing.
Thank you, Mallory! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
I used somebody else before when I moved and I like to call them, but they were booked and couldn’t move me on the date. I took my chances and went online. Bellhop had a good review, and the pricing was good. I called them, and I was very happy with the outcome. The gentleman I talked to answered me right away. He could take me, and everything was fine. I got text messages, the schedule, and pictures of the technicians that were moving me.
Anna, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
I was moving a relatively small amount of stuff, and I needed help unloading a truck I already had and taking things up to my apartment. Being able to hire folks locally who could just come and help me with that was the flexibility I needed. The quote was very fair too. I booked it all online, and the two people who came and helped with the move were great.
Elizabeth, thank you for taking the time to share your fantastic moving experience with us!
I've now used Bellhop 5 times, and every single time has been absolutely excellent. It's a tremendous service. Everybody's extremely helpful, very friendly, very courteous and very professional. I can't say enough for the company. They've got a very good model in place. I tell everybody I know about them. If they're considering a move and not using an actual full service, Bellhop is the way to go. The actual movers are always courteous, professional, on time and efficient. It's a great company.
Brad, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad we got the chance to help out with your move.
Look for the mover's customer service upfront before you even start working with them. That's why I like Bellhop. They had good customer service before I even paid them money. They handled all my questions well and the movers came in and finished a move that another mover walked out on. They moved furniture from the garage into the home and they were good. They moved fast, worked well with each other, and got it done a little earlier.
Juanita, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
The quote was good, and I was very happy with Bellhop. They're very quick, prompt and I trusted them. I would recommend them, because sometimes people just need help unloading or loading the truck or moving furniture, even. They are someone that could come and they don't have to do the actual moving.
Jill, we’re so happy to hear that you loved your move! We wish you the best as you settle into your new home.
The rep was very helpful and gave me a good quote, but it wasn't just about price. It was really good service. I had questions and he answered all of them and broke everything down for me. Also, the crew was great, especially the lead of the team, JJ. He and his team were unloading into two locations and they were respectful, hard workers, packed everything well, and organized. They put some of the unloaded stuff into my storage unit. I would absolutely use them again.
Richard, thank you for the fantastic review!
Not Dependable. We booked a whole house move for a 4000 sf 4BR home on Oct 15 (moving 2 miles away). Crew lead and regional ops called separately to confirm inventory. Both advised would likely take more than one trip and possibly go beyond quoted time. I agreed to the overages. Crew showed up - said it was "a lot" and driver had a hard stop in the afternoon. Said he needed to call corporate. Next I know the crew left without even speaking to me.
Called operations and they said my inventory was incorrect and could have crew out in a week. I advised I had to vacate the house that day as new owners were moving in that evening. No solution offered other than rent a UHaul and find friends and family to bail me out. THEN charged me $100 cancellation fee! We will see if I get this and my deposit back... Will be reporting to BBB and Attorney General. Horrid service all the way through. If the job is too big - say so and see what can be done (maybe move what you can at least?). Just leaving without so much as a conversation is unacceptable on all fronts. Save yourself - DON’T USE BELLHOP!

I was moving from North of Atlanta to West of Atlanta, 10 minutes from midtown. I had a one bedroom apartment and it wasn't a huge move. It involved a full dining room, full living room, and full bedroom. The move was smooth, and the crew was great. That experience was good that I would continue to use Bellhop should I ever move again.
Donald, thank you so much for the wonderful review!
The sales guy was great. He gave me the quote very quickly. He also gave me his contact information if I had any more questions. I was looking at other options and ended up contacting him later. Bellhop's pricing was the best. They had everything that I needed. It was great. The rep told me where to get anything I needed in terms of boxes or packing supplies. The truck driver ended up being a little late for the delivery. But the three guys that helped unpack the truck in Atlanta were great. They got everything done super quickly. They were very friendly and personable and made jokes. They helped fill the time until the truck arrived as well.
Brynn, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
I had to move for about a half-mile, but what I moved into was up a couple flights of stairs so I wasn't going to be able to do it by myself. And I had a full day. I needed the movers in the morning and it was relatively quick, which took two hours. When I set up the service with Bellhop, I just made a quick phone call, gave them a little bit of inventory on what I needed help with, and their rep was pretty helpful because I hadn't gone through a moving company before. But the movers they were late. I know that the payment was prorated down to the minute, so I started to get a little bit worried that I was going to have to pay more because they were late. Other than that, it was a pretty good experience and the checklist that they emailed to me was super helpful.
Sean, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
I liked Bellhop. When I was living in Georgia, I used them. They were very fast and efficient. When I went from New Jersey to North Carolina, I used them again but I wasn't happy with them. The movers wanted to charge me more afterwards and in both occasions, the fellows said they’d come in a specific time but they were always late. I relayed to Anna, the girl who was the coordinator, and she said, “No. You don't have to pay anything more."
The movers were hired out for two hours and it only took them an hour to move me. The fellow said, "I will tell Bellhop that they need to give you back an hour.” I emailed Anna that I would have liked to have a refund for an hour but she said, “No, we don't do that. That only applies if you were moving locally.” That's discrimination right there. That's the thing that needs to be regulated. After a few days, I emailed Sarah (Anna's boss) and Anna at the same time and told them the same thing about the refund. She told me, “No. It only applies to a local move. It doesn't apply to you at all. Since there was a miscommunication on that fellow's part, I will give you back $80.”
I had some other stuff stored in Tennessee and I used them again a second time. I pre-arranged this all months in advance. The fellows came out, loaded the truck and moved my stuff here. They wanted to charge me $56 more but they would never tell me what for. If I didn't say anything about getting a refund, I don't think they would have charged me more. But they just said the figures were wrong. Their person that originally did the contract made several mistakes. It was sneaky. It took them a month and a half to correct it. I told them I wanted to re-sign another document but they wouldn't date the document. It was going back and forth a lot. The problem with these folks, too, is you call them and you always leave messages. Anna said, "I'm unbelievably constricted in my time and I don't have time to talk to you.” I told her to let me speak to somebody else but she said she was the best one for it. Also, the guys from Tennessee to North Carolina broke some of my stuff. They didn't fasten it down properly.

I called the rep at Bellhop the day before the move because it was a gated community and I hadn't spoken to anybody. I didn't know how to go about giving them the gate code. The movers who were two young men were great but they didn't have the equipment needed. From where we had to park the truck, it's a long sidewalk around from the back of the apartment to the end if we didn't have a wagon. The maintenance crew had a wheelbarrow that my husband went and asked if we could borrow. My husband completely unloaded the truck with the movers because of them not having the proper tools. I had only booked it for two hours because it's a one-bedroom apartment. The people in Florida loaded it an hour and a half, and it took right at two hours with my husband helping the entire time. The reason I hired movers was that my husband didn't have to do it because he had been working a lot.

Our move leader came but none of the rest of the crew showed up. It was terrible. The move was three, four hours late because the truck was late. It was 8:00 pm by the time the truck came. The people who were supposed to be our movers then got sent to another move and they didn't have any backups available. Some of them said they didn't want to come back because it was too late. Our truck driver who wasn't supposed to be moving things volunteered to help. Bellhop is impossible to get in touch with. They promised to call us back five or six times but they never did. But when I finally got in touch with somebody, they gave us a refund for a good portion of the move, so I'm happy with that. Also, when the movers arrived here, the unload was fine.

I liked the hourly rate with Bellhop. However, the supervisor never showed up and the guys did it on their own. They did a good job though. On the last part of the move, I didn't take them because they would not come out and give me a firm estimate. I have an open-ended move, where it would take big time, so I didn't use them a second time. I used somebody else.

We used Bellhop for an in-house move. There were things taken from a storage unit to a house and things removed from the truck that Bellhop provided and brought into the house. The experience was better than I could have even expected. Everything was in perfect condition. They assembled everything by how it should have been assembled. They were very helpful. We plan on using them in the future because of the pleasant experience that we had the first time.
Bailey, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
The two guys Bellhop sent were great. They busted their butts off. They had a dolly with them for moving heavy stuff around. But somebody screwed up and canceled the truck so the movers wound up moving a couch and some other stuff on the dolly across the apartment complexes which was annoying. It dragged out the move too much longer than it should have been. We kept calling Bellhop and they kept saying they were looking into it and they didn't know what happened. They never could resolve it. One of my daughter's neighbors said, "Why don't you use my van?" They kind of used her van and she drove and the two guys loaded. I had to carry stuff and put it in my car because this was going to take all day. My daughter's dresser got damaged beyond repair and one of the problems was they pay 65 cents a pound no matter what it is.
We contacted Bellhop and they said, "We won't charge for the truck and we won't charge you because it took three hours instead of the two and a half hours." The reason it took three hours was because we didn't have a truck. We fought with Bellhop and told them 65 cents a pound is ridiculous. They didn't fulfill the contract and damaged a dresser which wouldn't have been damaged if they had a truck. Because the movers were trying to move it on a dolly, it fell off the dolly. Bellhop said it was the best they could do which was not acceptable. We went round and round then finally, they gave me $50 more for the dresser. That was the best I could get out of them and I was not impressed.

Bellhop did a good job overall. The crew lead's coworker was a dynamo. She worked and worked. The crew lead guy was a little over the top. He made a comment when they were taking stuff out of the apartment which was about it being like an older piece of furniture. Then later that day, after the job was done, he called me back and he kind of went on and on, profusely apologizing if he had overstepped his bounds or offended me in any way, which he didn't. But it was really a strange kind of awkward to have him call back and just sort of talk about that. It wasn't terrible. I thought that might be considered good customer service.
It seemed like the communication between the lead crew and his coworker was a little awkward. It was not inappropriate in any way, and they worked hard. They got the job done. The only thing was after the move, I realized that they had left a whole thing of wrapping plastic. I did send a text message to Bellhop to ask them if they wanted to take them and get it. I never heard back, so I just disposed of it because I didn't want it. I didn't need it.
Roxann, thank you for taking the time to share your fantastic moving experience with us!
Bellhop was able to give me specific windows of time when they would be picking up and delivering my belongings. I was moving from Chicago to Boston. My move coordinator was amazing. The move was a little hectic. There was supposed to be a crew that showed up on Wednesday, but the moving truck did not show up. But the moving coordinator was able to get another crew to help me the next day and guaranteed that the stuff would still be delivered on time, and still handled the rest of it all really great. There was a little bit of dirt damage on my couch. But other than that, it was fine. The move coordinator was extraordinarily helpful in fixing a problem that wasn't really her fault in the first place.
Jermaine, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
I needed help moving furniture within the home. I used Bellhop and all went smooth. Two gentlemen arrived. We talked about what I wanted to have done and they moved things where I'd asked them to move things. They had to take one thing upstairs and then another thing downstairs but everything else was on the same floor upstairs that they moved around. They were done quite a bit quicker than their anticipated time. I'm going to have to do some more moving and Bellhop again did a fine job and I'm going to use them again.
Thank you, Edward! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
Everything was fine. The one question I had ahead of time was that I told them I would need somebody for an hour and immediately, they billed me for two hours which I didn't understand. I called them about that and they explained that they bill for extra but if you don't use it, they take that away and that's what they did. So, I didn't have an issue with that. The people arrived on time and they got right to work. They were efficient and polite. I thought I would need two people and they sent three. They were wise to do that because some of my pieces were extremely heavy.
Thank you! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
It was a pretty simple move and I didn't have that much heavy stuff. I had prepacked all of my light boxes and got them moving ahead of time. So Bellhop had the job done in two hours which is what I wanted. And then, I used them again in Denver. I just needed them to load a U-Haul. Again, I had everything packed and again, they did it in two hours. They went back from the apartment to the U-Haul. I used them one more time in Kansas City and again it was from the house, packing a U-Haul. I used them in two hours again because I had everything prepared. Every crew was different but they respected everything that I add and carried it out. They did great.
Venita, we’re so happy to hear that you loved your moves! We wish you the best as always.
Getting everything set up with Bellhop was quick, easy and painless. Everything went very well. I have no complaints which is why I've used them more than once. Each time, I had very good staff that I worked with.
Kristin, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
The reps were good and the moving crew was great.
Andrew, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad we got the chance to help out with your move.
The moving crew was very informative. They called me a day or two before they were supposed to help us unload. The guy asked if they could move it up 30 minutes and we were already going to be there, but he asked before he just assumed. Then, they were super quick and super friendly. There was a piece of my bed that was broken when we put it in the U-Haul and it cracked. They called me out there and we were okay with it but they were very apologetic.
Krystal, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
I liked the business model in terms of I could get the time I thought I needed and if I used less time, it was prorated. I've used them three times and their reps were great.
Courtney, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
The actual movers really took care of my stuff. They asked me where I wanted it placed after they get it to my new house. They really seemed to care about what they were doing.
Robert, thank you for sharing your positive moving experience with us. We hope you are enjoying your new place!
Moving was stressful enough and I got great customer care from Bellhop. I spoke with Scott and it was so helpful. He explained everything. I was given the quote for the whole move immediately and he followed up to make sure that we still needed someone. It was really easy. Then, when they were coming to move me, the kid called the night before to confirm the appointment and my address. They showed up and they were really professional and the driver was nice. I had a great experience. If you want good service and you're looking for a reasonable rate, call Bellhop.
Nancy, thank you for sharing your positive moving experience with us. We hope you are enjoying your new place!
Bellhop loaded up a three-bedroom house for us. I used them again on the other end to unload the trucks as well. Everything was perfect. I'd use them again if I ever move.
Daniel, thank you for taking the time to share your fantastic moving experience with us!
The guys were very nice and professional. They had a good sense of humor. We made it easy on them too, preparing everything. They came in, did their job, and out of there.
Thank you for the five-star rating, Mona! We appreciate it.
Bellhop was recommended by my sister. The thing that worked out for me was I was having them unload the moving pods and it was nice with Bellhop that I was able to schedule them fairly last minute because I didn't know exactly when they were going to arrive. There were 2 young guys during the unloading and they were great at communicating and texting the day before to confirm that the time was still okay with me. Once they got here, they were both polite and got it done quickly.
Thank you, Rachel!
We had a moving company that canceled two days before we were scheduled to move. I reached out to a couple of companies and Bellhop was able to accommodate us. They saved us from something that could have been disastrous. They were able to respond and did a fantastic job. The crew was outstanding. They worked hard and cared about the job. They were diligent about making sure that there were no breakages.
Thank you, Mitch! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
When I called Bellhop, the person was incredibly nice and I felt very assured that it was a reputable company. The times were confirmed for both days seemed like a big plus. They were the nicest guys and I got a call a couple days before I moved from the lead. It went so smoothly, I couldn’t believe it.
Lisa, thank you so much for the wonderful review!
My move was pleasant. I had a rental truck and scheduled Bellhop. They came on time and took care of everything. They were very friendly and helpful.
Steven, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
When you make a commitment to sell your house to Zillow, Bellhop is part of the Zillow 360. Bellhop immediately reached out to schedule my move but it was a hypothetical date that could be up to 90 days out or could not even happen. When it came down to the actual time to book Bellhop a month in advance, there were no dates available. The dates that I needed were not available, even 30 days in advance. So I had to move my closing and had to have $5,000 withheld, so I can extend myself three days out and Bellhop can move me. But I got the 5,000 back.
The moving crew was fantastic. I received a text as a reminder the day before the crew came out and I was told that there were going to be two trucks and six guys. So there was very clear and professional communication. Then a great group of young guys came. They were guys that can withstand moving stuff all day long in their early 20s. They were very professional. They took care of our items. Overall, it was an easy turnkey process. I love the fact of the inventory list. It really helped us get prepared for the move. It really relieved a lot of stress because we were able to be prepared in that timeframe. It helped us established goals. Bellhop walked us through the process very well.
Daniel, thank you for the fantastic review!
I talked to about three different companies and Bellhop was the only one that called back and seemed to know what they were doing. It was easy to set up the move. Everybody showed up and worked. We got it done in about the time my daughter should be done, and I was happy.
Michael, we’re so happy to hear that you loved your move! We wish you the best as you settle into your new home.
With Bellhop, it was an easy format to schedule and get a confirmation and understand what was involved. The head person during the move texted me a couple days before the move confirming that we were still on, and if I needed anything else from them. He confirmed the time that I had scheduled and then he texted that morning when he was about five minutes away, and he was right on time. He was super communicative and helpful.
I hired three movers. I had a condo, and it was a second-floor unit. I already had the truck parked out back. All my stuff was ready to go. The movers were super friendly and efficient. They were all on time. They moved really quickly. They were done in less time that I had even scheduled for them to be there. They had some questions, but they were very easy to communicate with. I was very pleased.
Alissa, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback! It's wonderful to hear that the team was able to provide you with a great moving experience. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to them. We hope that you're enjoying your new home and wish you all the best in this new chapter.
Bellhop was great. I really liked them a lot. I spoke to a couple people on the phone. They were polite and efficient. Then, I used their website interface, which is one of the reasons I really like Bellhop. It was easy to navigate and set up. The people who were here for loading and unloading the truck were absolutely on time. I thoroughly enjoyed the company. The price was great. It was much more affordable than even the closest competitor. So, I would recommend them to anybody.
Nicolle, we’re so happy to hear that you loved your move! We wish you the best as you settle into your new home.
Bellhop had the highest rating. The moving crew was a team of four. There was the moving coordinator, the truck driver and then two additional movers that came in. They moved everything from my apartment in a relatively short time. Then we drove over to the new apartment. Unfortunately, because of the way it was, they couldn't drive to the same floor that the apartment was, so they had to use the elevator and move the stuff manually and carry all the stuff in. Everything was in good shape. They wrapped up all the stuff that need to be wrapped up. Then at the end, they cleaned up. They unwrapped it and removed all the wrappers. So, overall, it was a very good experience.
Ian, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback! It's wonderful to hear that the team was able to provide you with a great moving experience. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to them. We hope that you're enjoying your new home and wish you all the best in this new chapter.
This is the second time I used Bellhop. This time around, I didn't go through any coordinator. I just booked directly on their website. The moving crew arrived on time. They were fabulous. I packed everything, but they helped me put some blanket around my furniture, so everything is pretty well protected. I really enjoyed Bellhop. I'm very happy with them. I'll definitely use them again. They are wonderful. The process is very easy, and their billing is always very clear. I also liked that when they finish early, they will prorate their quote. So, I feel that it's a very honest business practice.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback! It's wonderful to hear that the team was able to provide you with a great moving experience. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to them. We hope that you're enjoying your new home and wish you all the best in this new chapter.
I went online on a Thursday night and booked the move for Sunday. It was so fast. I had texts, and reassurances that I'm in the system, and everything was good. I paid through the phone. Then two young men showed up. They were incredibly on time, and enthusiastic. They texted that they were five minutes away and then they got there and saw the job at hand. They figured out what they had to do and did it. They worked together. They had to carry a refrigerator up a million rickety steps, and over a railing, and over a bed into place. They had to uncrate it first too. They also had to move a desktop that weighed hundreds of pounds and it was a little trickier. We needed a bit of geometry on that one. So I stepped in with some geometry, but we got that done too. They were there a total of 20 minutes. It was so quick and they were amazing.

We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to them. We hope that you're enjoying your new home and wish you all the best in this new chapter.
Once the movers enter, you get a feeling whether or not they really come to work or if the experience is going to be a drag. But I never got that feeling with Bellhop. They came to get the work done and that was the reason I used them a second time. It was excellent. My experience was the same both times. With the most recent move, the young guys came and observed. They took a look at what needed to be done and within five to seven minutes, they were starting to move. It exceeded my expectations.
Dianne, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
Over the past year, we've used a moving company about six times to move various stuff. We've used Bellhop twice, and we've had a very nice experience with them.
Teresa, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
I am very upset with BellHop. I believe they were very unprofessional and misrepresented cost for services rendered. I was obviously moving, change of address through the USPS, afterwards I was bombarded with numerous moving related advertisements. One was BellHop Moving Services. Since their ad was via the USPS, I made the assumption that they were vetted. Everything was done on line, they asked house/apartment etc., how many rooms, furniture type, number of boxes, from home to 2 addresses-home and storage (1.5 miles from each other). Local move covering about 20 miles each direction (4 bedroom home, but 2 bedrooms were completely empty therefore stated 2 complete bedrooms to move, including a heavy hospital bed, family room, breakfast area, living room, dining room and 50 boxes which I later called and increased to 75 boxes). I completed the information. I received a price of 832.20.
The morning of the move, 3 men arrive on time (9am) with a rented Penske Truck. When they arrived they immediately stated that the job is bigger than they anticipated. They were on the phone for about 30 minutes before they agreed to do the move. Also they were told not to move the hospital bed because in exceeded the 300 lbs limit. I spoke to the dispatcher/supervisor (female, Erin?). I was very adamant about the hospital bed being moved because I had disclosed on the online information “Heavy Hospital Bed”. Not my responsibility if no one reads the information provided by the customer.
The workers were very nice. The crew chief (Edwin) said he would move the hospital bed because he also had a special needs family member. They requested a fourth mover to come and help. I found out at this time that the 1 truck and 3 movers were contracted for my move from 9am to 3pm. Also the truck was not big enough therefore anticipated to do 2 trips. Eventually started at 9:30 am. I told them that I would help in hopes to move things along faster. During the move, I got to know a little bit about the workers. The crew chief (Edwin) who brought the truck was employed by BellHop.
The other two workers are independent contractors, Trae works out of North Carolina as a mover as well and the other Ismael who don’t remember his regular job, but it is not in the moving industry. The truck was completely filled with the items just going to the storage facility. That run was completed around 5pm (arrived back at the house). The fourth worker (Gustavo-full time job photographer) arrived at the storage facility at 3:50 pm. The rest of the house was mostly items going to the other house. As the day progressed, I could tell everyone was getting more tired, more breaks, less attention to trying to pack the truck all the way up, this time it was about half way up (understandable-but not helpful).
There were still about a one car garage size of items still to be moved that they did not get to. The second trip to the house was finally completed at 10pm. They did get the hospital bed moved for which I am very grateful and it took all 5 of us to move it. During the move I had spoken to Erin(?) a couple of times, the conversation was basically the move is taking twice as long with an extra employee for half the time. I said I understood, but also expressed that if the original move was 3 movers and 1 truck for 6 hours and this move took 12.5 hours with an additional worker for 6 hours then the math should work out to be around $2000 give or take.
The day after the move another supervisor called me (male-do not recall his name) and also stated that the charges would be more than initially noted. I acknowledged this and again stated that the math should work out as previously discussed. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I received an email from Erin stating that the 4th mover was charged at a rate of $758.87 for 12.5 hours, then a credit of $422.17 since he had only worked 6 hours. Then on my credit card I was charged $832.20 as expected and then an additional charge of $2735.37-$422.17=$2313.20, bringing the total cost of the move to $3145.40 (4x the original price provided for something that took only 2x as long to do). I emailed Erin back regarding the charges 2 days in a row, I never heard from her again!
I had given them my credit card to reserve the move about 3 weeks prior, Chase VISA. I filed a dispute with Chase and I was informed by a supervisor that through VISA “Estimates” such as from a moving company are not disputable. A similar move 5.5 years prior with more rooms and items only cost $1400 total. Also, I had to miss work and rent a Uhaul truck 2 days later and move the remaining items left myself with a friend (filled a 15’ Uhaul truck)-additional cost! Again, the workers were nice and did a decent job and helped me with the hospital bed. However, I would never recommend BellHop to anyone. Still furious at the way I was treated by the company personnel and financially gouged!!!
Arlene, we sincerely apologize for your experience with Bellhop; this does not live up to our high standard of service. We understand that anytime the move duration is longer than the estimated time, it creates a frustrating customer experience.
As an hourly, pay-as-you-go service, we operate in non-binding estimates rather than quotes. We work to make estimates as accurate as possible by asking detailed questions during booking. However, every move is unique, and several move-day factors can contribute extra time: additional inventory, long walk, box count, travel delays, and reassembly. When we receive concerns about the duration of a move, we do everything we can to investigate the situation and evaluate the service provided in the hopes of coming to a fair resolution on the bill.
Our system reflects that you discussed these concerns with our Support Team and that we adjusted your bill for accuracy and fairness. Our goal is to provide stress-free moves by maximizing efficiency, offering a workforce you can trust, and providing fair and reasonable customer service. We shared this feedback with the Market Manager, and we genuinely hope to redeem the experience in the future.
This moving company is a complete disaster. We can start with Bellhop attempting to reschedule my appointment a week before the move, that had been scheduled weeks out, without giving me an option to keep my original date and time. After I reached out and said that changing the date was not an option, I was informed that Bellhop had found other movers to take over the appointment.
Fast forward to the appointment date (July 10th at 9am). I waited for close to 30 minutes for anyone to arrive. The first person to show was the driver who told me he could not get ahold of their "Team Leader". At this point I had called Bellhop HQ and was speaking to Support Chat. Eventually another mover arrived and was saying the same thing that he could not get ahold of the TL. This mover had informed me that he could get another guy down to help, since he had started with Bellhop the day before. The time is around 10am at this point. The Team Leader eventually called me and said that "the job was assigned to him at 3am" that morning...which makes me think think company completely dropped the ball with locating a team for my appointment even though you confirmed with me that we were good to go earlier that week.
Eventually the other mover arrived which I thought would help speed up the process, but that was not the case. The driver kept leaving the truck, the movers were taking way too long organizing the items in the truck, to the point where I ended up moving majority of our items myself, they barely wrapped anything, my mattress and boxspring were just slid through the hallway so the mattress cover was completely ruined. At one point the local trash-truck came through to pickup trash on our street and the moving crew stopped to throw trash in the trash-truck, then back to moving my stuff.
At this point it's around 1:30pm and the truck is finally packed up. Right as we were getting ready to leave, the truck pulled out from behind my car so we could follow them, and the driver side-swiped my car. I am beyond furious at this point and just want the job to be over. We arrive to the final destination and I work with my father to unload the truck because I could no longer trust the crew with handling my stuff with care. A number of our items were dented/scratched and the overall handling was awful.
Nothing about this job was professional. The movers also made it clear that they only get paid "$15/hour" and that we shouldn't use Bellhop because of how unorganized it is and to hire them directly...hah. To end, Bellhop tried to charge me just $1397.35 and after calling to complain, they only deducted the move to $628.XX. If done properly, this move should only have taken 2 hours, instead it took over 5.5 hours. I can wholeheartedly say that I will never use/recommend Bellhop for any services again.
Daniel, Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your recent experience with our company. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you have experienced with our services.
We understand that no amount of compensation can change what happened or make up for the disappointment. Nonetheless, we value your feedback and will take it to heart as we continue to strive to provide the best possible service to all of our customers.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you and we hope that we can regain your trust in the future.
I had to contact the moving coordinator from Bellhop a couple of times beforehand because I had placed an order for the moving supplies and ended up canceling it. It was all very smooth. We were moving locally in about a mile, and it was a full-house move. We did have some sort of minor damages to things, but we didn't bother claiming. Some things possibly could have been wrapped a little better, but that's fine. Overall, Bellhop was very helpful. They were very quick with everything. We got moved faster than I expected. So, I would definitely recommend them.
Natasha, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
I was moving a one-bedroom apartment, so I needed labor to move and pack my things into a vehicle that I had. The crew was excellent and I really appreciated it. I even did a review and those guys got an extra tip.
Tina, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
The moving coordinator from Bellhop was friendly, and the moving crew was great. They were super fast and professional. I had a great experience, so I would use the service again.
Jennifer, we’re so happy to hear that you loved your move! We wish you the best as you settle into your new home.
The Bellhop coordinator was absolutely amazing. I was moving from an apartment to a house across town. The crew was also perfect. There were no broken items and the move was done quickly and efficiently. I'd definitely use them again in the future. It's way cheaper than the competitors.
Brian, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
Bellhop was responsive whenever I had questions. They were available. The movers were friendly, upbeat, and helpful in making the decisions of which direction to take the items into the house whether it was from the garage or the front door. They were quick, too.
Kunal, thank you for taking the time to share your fantastic moving experience with us!
There was a young woman from Bellhop I spoke to and she was fantastic. I had already booked with another company. But I ended up switching to Bellhop after I spoke with her because she was just so on top of it and willing to answer all my questions and was thorough, kind and patient. I was very impressed on that end. The crew was also all wonderful. The lead was great and all of the other members were fantastic as well. Very courteous, efficient, kind and funny. I would highly recommend them.
Lauren, thank you for taking the time to share your fantastic moving experience with us!
Bellhop is a nice service. The ratings were good and people gave a good review. Plus, it worked on my timeslot and in my budget. They were very efficient, they did the job well and they were quick. I was very satisfied.
Varsha, thank you so much for the wonderful review!
I've used Bellhop for my last four moves. It just seemed a little more secure than hiring people off of Craigslist to come load and unload my trucks for me. Every time I've ever called Bellhop, they were always super helpful. My experience with their crew is usually good. Sometimes I get a couple of college guys that aren't as cognizant as they could be, so they'll cause cosmetic damage here and there. But I've gotten pretty good at figuring out how to wrap and prep things so that it minimizes that risk. But Bellhop is reliable and they have really good support.
Thank you! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
The moving crew showed up a little bit early and were efficient. I expected about three hours and they did everything in two. They moved all the stuff into my new place in under 30 minutes. I expected it to be longer. They were helpful, kind, considerate and honest with their time. I also did appreciate the flexibility of allowing me to get the truck. It was helpful for me to get the table which was in storage and not having to move everything in and figure out how to get the table inside.
Sophia, thank you so much for the wonderful review!
Bellhop seemed like a convenient, simple, and easy way to book moving services. The coordinator that I dealt with was very informative. He was a good listener and communicator. The moving crew was very energetic and helpful.
Thank you, Jon! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
I was really impressed with the movers. They just had to move all the furniture in our house. Took them an hour and 20 minutes to do that. They were really solid people and on time. Nate was the manager or leader on duty and he did a heck of a job. Give him a raise.
Joseph, thank you so much for the wonderful review!
We only needed to move a dresser and a lot of the other places that I was looking for had a minimum requirement, like three hours for $800, and Bellhop was the best option for us in terms of that. The moving coordinator communicated pretty well with us the week of. Then as soon as the crew came, they called me. I was at work and my fiancé was here. I just communicated to her and everything was smooth from there. They were in and out in 15 minutes. If you want to get something quickly, or if you want to be able to solve whatever moving need, Bellhop is the easiest thing to do.
Eddie, thank you for the fantastic review!
The moving coordinator was very professional, courteous, and had good work ethics. They came in and they worked. I would recommend Bellhop. They're fast and they get the job done.
Chris, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
My wife and I lived in Baltimore, Maryland area, and we were planning to move to Kentucky. I looked online, and I saw Bellhop. The photograph showed guys with a uniform shirt, and they had shorts on. They were hauling a box on the ramp on the truck as they leave. The photograph struck me as looking really professional. So, I gave them a call, and after speaking with them, it sounds to me like they have their ducks in a row and their services are very secured. A year and a half ago, we moved the load of our items to Louisville, and then we've used them about six times since then.
Bellhop's moving coordinator was great. Speaking with him was kind of what gave me the go ahead to secure the services because he knew what he was doing, and I felt secured after speaking with him. Bellhop was just unloading me at that point. When I got there, I drove into the storage facility, and they were exactly right on time. That tells you a lot about people. If they’re late, you’re like, “Oh no.” But they showed up and they were dressed appropriately. They were younger guys, but they were very pleasant. Their personalities were awesome. They engaged with my wife and I. They straightway unloaded our truck into the storage unit, and they took care of items. That was what impressed me.
When we made the initial pack-up of the truck in Maryland, by that point, they had expanded into Baltimore, and I used their services to finish packing up my house after that. The follow up is amazing. We've used them about six times, and every single time, they're young professionals. At our latest dealing with them, one of the guys had just secured a job in accounting, but he was still doing this on the side because he liked it so much.
Thank you, Billy! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
Everything looked like there is a cohesive product being sold. All the folks that I worked with were very nice. I had very pleasant conversations with the crew. They were very helpful and attentive. It was a very positive experience. Would do it again.
Thanks for the positive rating, Ian!
The rep was great. She did some suggesting just to give me with the time. She also gave me some pointers and a checklist of things I should have or do, so everything can move swiftly. Even though I knew all that stuff, she still gave all that, which is good. Moving day was supposed to start at 9:00, but the guy showed up at 8:50. He walked through to see all they had to move and what to expect, and all that I had. Then he waited on some other guys to come. The workers arrived at different times and then they came and moved it. It worked out. The truck took a little longer to get into the delivery, but it wasn’t bad. The unloading also took a little longer because I moved to the third floor.
Antwine, we’re so happy to hear that you loved your move! We wish you the best as you settle into your new home.
Bellhop was fantastic and both my experiences with them were the best I've ever had. Their team helped me move furniture from a U-Haul up to my bedroom. I've already told multiple people to use Bellhop. It was worth every penny and more because they were the nicest humans.
Jennifer, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
Bellhop was great. The service is as advertised and I'd use them again. I have used them before too.
Thank you, Lee! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
I had a great experience from beginning to end. From the first phone call interaction to the explanation of the services and with me being a former employee of a moving company, I liked the professionalism. The rep asked all the right questions about the content that was being moved and he went over everything. He gave me all the information I wanted upfront without me having to ask. The drivers of the truck arrived a few minutes before the move. The two got everything loaded. It was refreshing to have a move go 100% effective.
Sheila, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
Moving companies need to have a better online presence in terms of websites. So it's easier to trust a moving company, whether it's going to be good or bad. If USPS can also recommend some moving companies, that would especially help since we trust them. When I did my change of address with them, I got a coupon of Bellhop from USPS. That gave me some confidence that it's a good mover company, and I can go with them. I called them on a Thursday. I wanted to move on a Saturday and they were able to schedule me. It was very easy, quick and efficient.
Sam, thank you for taking the time to share your fantastic moving experience with us!
I had a really good experience with Bellhop. I liked that I could see ahead of time what the price would be and it was competitive. The moving crew arrived on time. There was a team leader who was really awesome and two other guys who were helping. They wrapped a lot of the stuff that I didn't think about wrapping. They were quick but they got a lot of stuff in one swoop. They were careful with anything and they had great customer service. I was impressed and if ever I have to move again, I'm definitely going to use Bellhop.
Ellie, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
Bellhop was a good experience but my dresser was severely damaged. As far as the movers and the way they communicate, everything was great. I recommend this company. They have nice and friendly staff.
Alexis, we’re so happy to hear that you loved your move! We wish you the best as you settle into your new home.
I had to call a couple of times and the reps were super nice. Every time, it was great. I initially scheduled the move online by myself. When I was scheduling that, Bellhop didn't tell me that it was only 2 hours each way. When the movers got there, they gauged how much time we had and that was when I discovered that there was a time limit so that part was a little misleading. Bellhop might want to clarify that on the website. But the movers were super nice. We only had one item break and that was something I had warned them about but it was not a big deal.
Nicole, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
Bellhop was easy to use and affordable. The user-interface on the browser was clean and organized. The rep was positive and helpful. On the moving day, 2 brothers showed up right on time in the morning and loaded everything up. They finished a few minutes early and were incredibly productive.
Thank you, Domenic! We're so happy to hear about your excellent experience. We wish you the best as you settle into your new place.
The rep was amazing. He made the move clean and simple. Everyone was incredible and everything was in good condition. It was a great experience with Bellhop all around.
Catherine, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
I liked that Bellhop had a la carte services. I was looking for labor only. I was going to get a truck and drive myself. I made most of the reservations online. But when I called customer service with some questions, they were very helpful. I felt very comfortable with their team. They did a good job. When I was moving out, they were a little bit late, but they were super efficient. They still made it in the time that I had scheduled. I was very pleased with the service that I received. I was a little wary at first because I didn't know anybody who had personally used them. But all of my things made it and they were all in the condition in which they were moved.
Grace, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
We used Bellhop's delivery for unloading other stuff and everybody was super friendly and efficient. The Bellhop guys were very customer service first and we appreciated that. It made moving all the stuff in go really quickly. They did a good job.
Jake, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad we got the chance to help out with your move.
The crew was so great. They showed up ready to work. They got everything out and they ended up doing it much faster than we were originally guessing it would take.
Mikala, thank you for taking the time to write a review! We hope you enjoy your new place.
Bellhop was excellent all the way around. I had called 12 moving companies and nobody answered the phone or returned my call. Not only did Bellhop answer the phone at 7 o'clock at night, but I was also able to talk to a live person. We ended up having an issue moving into our new house and Bellhop was great about rescheduling the first move. They moved all my stuff into a storage unit and moved it into our new house once it was ready. Trever, one of the guys who did my move, was incredible and greatly motivated. Two guys were with him the first time and they were great. And the second time, they were just as good.
Matt, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad that you trusted us with your move.
We used Bellhop for an extra hand and they were great. We hired them for three hours and the move took two and a half. I like doing things online and with Bellhop, I did everything on their website.
We’re so happy to hear that you loved your move! We wish you the best as you settle into your new home.
