The sales guy was so great and helpful, was a little relieved after setting up the move with them. When the actual movers arrived they were not friendly, kept the ear phones in ears and unaware of anything! My 46 inch flat screen arrived at my new home with a hole in the screen, my matching bed and dresser had huge gouges in the wood, and my son's bed slats were broken... And this is just the first day of unpacking. There could be much more! NEVER USE THEM!

This company was paid to move my father in law but they cancelled due to weather. The nursing home staff was able to move him with no problem. Since this company would not offer a refund, we used them to move us recently. Even though we told them that there might be too much ice to complete the move that day, they insisted on moving or said we would lose all the money we had already paid. I find this ironic since the only reason we were using their company was because THEY CANCELED on us previously.
When they got there they said it was too icy to move our bed and dresser and would arrange another day to move it. Well two weeks later they will NOT RETURN my calls. Last I talked to them I was told it would be an EXTRA charge to complete the move! Not to mention they left one of the tables they were supposed to move just sitting in MY FRONT YARD. I have called and left at least five messages to no avail. I hope the owner mans up and completes his obligation in an honorable fashion.

After all I have read about this company I admit I was worried and there was a couple of things I didn't like but no company is perfect in this world. The scheduled move was changed from am to pm after I called and confirmed day and time myself and I wasn't told about the fluid surcharge until they arrived on location but once the employee's (**) arrived they went over the "game Plan" with me and they went to work! They were very professional and nice. They disassembled and packed very carefully. They worked hard and at a steady pace. I'm very please with All my son's employee's movers.

The owner of this company, **, not only tried extortion but also threatened to steal my stuff and charge me for services not rendered. The police had to be called in this matter. First, it took the movers much longer than it should have to move a small two bedroom apartment into the truck, as they drag their feet and didn't work diligently. Then they were not given the tools needed to take apart a bed so they asked me, the customer, to run to Walmart for them and get them a pliers. I wasn't told about a 12% fuel surcharge when booking this company nor a 3% credit card charge. When the truck arrived at the new house, one of the workers called ** and told him it would take about another three hours and I had to pay the entire guesstimated amount up front before they moved anything.
When I refused to pay for services not yet provided and would either pay for services provided and then pay again for additional hours, or wait until the end to pay for the hours worked, I was told they would not move my stuff into the house. I called ** and he said I had 10 minutes to pay the 833.00 or they would drive the truck away with all of my stuff. Extreme distraught and upset, I called the police so that they couldn't steal my things. Before the police arrived I gave in and paid the amount they asked for so they wouldn't leave with my things. Then they asked me to sign a form that said they had completed the move and hadn't even put my things in the house. They again sat and waited for the police to show up as I wouldn't sign a piece of paper saying the job was done when it wasn't.
The police came and mediated the situation, letting the owner know that he too wouldn't sign such a form until it was completed. Needless to say there was not much the officer could do as I had already paid the company. They unloaded my stuff, dumped plants over, broke my DVD stand, and put some scratches in my furniture. They charged me 7 hours when the job was complete in less time. I have not got a refund nor a call from the owner. I was so incredibly upset by this whole experience and will take every action possible to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. As far as I know, you can't steal someone's personal property for any reason.

We scheduled our move for 2/28 in early January. We had to call them the week prior to confirm and were given the arrival time of 9am on Saturday 2/28. We called the week of to re-confirm the arrival time of 9am on 2/28. They did not show up until 3PM. After they loaded and got to our new home, they wouldn't offload the truck unless we paid upfront for the estimated amount of time to unload - of which there was 1.5 hours we ended up not using, paid at the overtime rate. So they owe us $208 for that. I called on Monday 3/2 and spoke to ** who informed me that he is the operations manager and all kinds of excuses for why they were late (basically they fit in another job that was "supposed to be quick" before ours). He also told me that they waived $15 fee for moving our appliance (fridge) which should make up for it all. I've been in contact with ** since later in the day on 3/2 who has promised me that the owner "is going to make this right."
I have requested a refund for half of the time I spent waiting for them (3 hours @ $90/hr) plus the $208 they already owe me. I've emailed on the corporate website twice. Nothing in response from corporate or in the way of resolution from the owner, Betty, who supposedly is going to take care of me.

They quoted approximately $600-700 without an official visit to our home. They said they were a family business and knew exactly what to do and moving a 4 bedroom/3 bath house would be no problem for them because they were sooo competent and professional. They were 4.5-5 hours late and told me I would be fortunate to have them show up then. They said it was not their fault that their employees did not show up for work and that it was illegal for them give us a discount of any kind due to state law. That is rubbish.
The young men who finally came were very nice and did as well as they could have but according to the foreman for the job they had limited experience. This was obvious later when they did not get all of the heavy items that I asked them to make sure they got so when I had to get the rest that I would not have to do heavy lifting. I was clear about the heavy items I wanted them to take but they disregarded my requests and left several (10) heavy items that we were forced to move later.
This was a miserable experience and I would never recommend anyone use ALL MY SONS moving. They were terrible and not helpful especially the administrative office people. They basically said "It's your bad luck that we did not do what we promised to do." Please do not give this business your hard-earned money. Moving is hard enough without having to deal with people who don't care and just want your money.

I had All My Sons move me. First I never really got a quote. This was all new to me. I told them that they would be moving an entire house, 3/2.... The movers came and immediately look around and say, "Oh we didn't know it was a big move," so the one guy says to me he's going to go back and get more boxes and more equipment but he started the clock on me.... it cost me over $3000.00 just for moving 10 minutes at the most away. The one mover himself said to me that they overcharged me but he couldn't do anything about it. He did say to me that I 'should take care of them,' so to me that meant I had to tip the movers which I did with a generous tip... then they also broke an expensive chair leg.
It took some time just to even get the application from them to file a claim, but I finally did, filed the claim, took pictures and even had a form notarized and sent it back into ALL MY SONS. I didn't know how much to ask for so I thought I'd be fair and just ask for $75.00.... week went by and no check. I called the company and was always brushed off and then their one employee ** even lied to me about putting my check in the mail.... never got it yet. Finally I got so frustrated I filed a complaint with the BBB and now ALL MY SONS is trying to hold me just to the $75.00 since I was unaware of what the chair would even cost.
I gave them feedback on their site and no one calls you back like it says they will. Their website portrays a 'mom and pop' business but they are just the opposite... as soon as they get their money they forget about you. It doesn't matter if you're unhappy or not with the move... they have already lost business because I know people who have moved and have asked me of my experience with ALL MY SONS... too high, bad customer service, not prepared really to begin with... They are very friendly on the phone, but that is just a front.

We needed to move from Miami North, about 1 hour in driving distance. Movers were recommended by property manager of complex leaving. Bad move! The experience was a con game from the beginning. They upsell with take another mover for a discounted rate; $124 instead of $94 for 2 persons. They destroyed two mattresses and support systems, one Tempur-Pedic and one Sleep Number (both top of the line and practically new). Total cost over $5,000 by dragging the piece on the street and garage. One person handled and we were to pay for 3. It was done like on purpose if you ask me. The co. manager was ** from the beginning and would lie to get you to sign to lose your rights, but we did not. Never use this co. They are the lowest people you could ever have contact with, even the driver would say anything to get a tip and for what? It was his fault for the disaster!

Absolute worst experience with a moving company ever. My wife and I move frequently due to our careers. We've used several companies in the past and NEVER had an experience like this. Due to time constraints we were forced to act quickly and All My Sons was able to accommodate our schedule. Wish we had taken the time to read the reviews prior to hiring them. They were absolutely wonderful on the phone (or so it seemed) prior to taking our deposit. They came out and gave us an estimate of $700 to move roughly 8 miles away. Great, seemed like a great deal. They arrived and the fun started almost immediately. I asked the person on the phone numerous time and was assured there would be no additional charges or hidden fees when originally booking our movers.
Never once on the phone did they mention an 18% "fuel surcharge". This is 18% of THE ENTIRE COST OF THE MOVE. Seemed a bit excessive as we were already paying for an hour of travel time and only moved 8 miles away, but ok whatever. We needed to move and could not reschedule as our lease was about to end. We ended up paying over $400 in fuel surcharges PLUS another $129 for an hour of travel time. It ended up costing almost $550 for a 10 minute, 8 mile drive. This was in addition to the actual cost of the move.
Long story short, we hired 3 workers and they worked at an amazingly slow pace. What they were unaware of is we have hidden cameras in our house and were watching them the whole time. They spent most of the day sitting around doing nothing. When we would enter the rooms they were working in, they'd hop up and act as if they were as busy as possible when in reality they spent most of the time literally doing NOTHING. I'm a generally nice guy and don't like confrontation so we didn't rush them thinking they'd get upset and not take good care of our stuff. The workers would take turns "looking out" and alerting each other when we were coming. It was hilarious watching them signal each other as we were approaching.
Fast forward 6 hours later and the truck is now loaded. Mind you, the original estimate was that the entire job would take 5 hours including loading, travel time & unloading. We called All My Sons letting them know this move was taking much longer than expected due to the workers slow pace. They assured us not to worry and told us they would call us back shortly with a resolution. After all of our stuff was on the truck THEN they called... For payment of course. The person we spoke with was incredibly rude and condescending and told us our bill was $1995 and refused to take our stuff off the truck until the bill was paid in full! We basically had no choice but to pay it as it was night time by this point and all of our worldly possessions were in that truck.
Even better was that nearly every piece of furniture was damaged, the walls, banisters and doors of both our new and old home were severely damaged and the claims department was nearly impossible to get a hold of. They literally picked up the phone and hung up immediately nearly a dozen times when we called. We had to use a phone spoof app so the number displayed on their called ID was a corporate AMS number and tricked them into picking up.
The claims process is a complete joke and they make it extremely difficult and time consuming to file. Not to mention they pay .60cents per pound on a claim. Just to give you an idea, if they broke a $3000 30lb flat screen TV you'd get a check for $18 for the claim. LONG STORY SHORT, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! We have footage of the movers, have documented all damages and are currently considering pursuing legal action. Please stay tuned for updates.

The 3 gentlemen showed up completely unaware of what they were suppose to be doing. There were 3 guys there in which only one guy was working. Me and my husband had to help to ensure my bill didn't reach 1000$. It was the worst move I have ever experienced in my 33 years on earth. The people seem nice in the beginning, even sent me a thank you card before they did the job. However I wouldn't recommend them move dog crap for anyone ever. Terrible service and slow workers, 4 hours and 695$ later the absolute worst company ever!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!

This company is SO UNPROFESSIONAL! We set a moving time and date. They called 3 hrs after they were suppose to be here and said they were not going to be able to do the move. Mind you, I had been assured many times by their people that they would be here and not leave me hanging - as I have read they are infamous for. I am so sick with anger towards this company I could scream. Never in my life have I dealt with such an incompetent, non-solution providing, unsympathetic asses in my life! The management is absolutely a joke! Do not use this company unless you thoroughly enjoy being let down, stolen from, ripped off or don't mind precious items being handled like **! Pardon my language but this company has left myself, partner, and kids in a home where utilities are already transferred and I can't even prepare them food or give them water.

I booked this company back in Dec. 2014 in Memphis, TN to move me to another location in Feb. 14, 2015 told them I wanted the movers at my home by 830am on 2/14. Well they called me a few days before to reconfirm the price with me $89 per hour per mover minimum 3 hrs which at that time Ron told me there would be an added 12% but this was never mentioned in December when I reserved them. It's two days before my move, there was no way I could find anyone else in such short time. Ok a well they didn't arrive until 2:30pm that day. Some other guy named Ed calls me on 2/13 and says "well we just finished the schedule and it looks like we have you down from 12-3." I said "no I reserved you back in December and requested a morning start time at 8:30am."
Then he says, "I don't do the schedule so I'm not sure who put this down but it's already confirmed in the system and I can't change it." Well 12 comes around no movers show up, I call the office. Ed tells me they were at another job and should be at me by 1pm; 1pm comes around still no movers, I call again, then Ron says they should be there no later than 1:30 and once again no movers. Then Ed tells me "well I can give you a discount for 3 guys to get you moved faster at $119 (original price $134 for 3 guys) since you did request for us to be at your place by 830, but I want you to know we do not try to see what jobs we can make the most money at" (don't know why he said that). But that told me because I had only a one bedroom, they knew it would only take them 3 hrs at the most to move me whereas if someone has a house it would be longer considering they charge you by the hour/per mover. Do the math ($119 was not a deal)!
The one mover who I guess was the main guy was very unprofessional calling me sweetheart and saying things like how he loves all my stiletto shoes. Keep in mind it was Valentine's Day, traffic getting places took at least 1.5hrs, my boyfriend and I had plans in the afternoon which didn't happen because with them arriving late to my house. Once we took the furniture to my new place, one of the movers noticed the mirror to my dresser was not on the truck. Now it's 530 pm and they had to go back to the old place. We get to my old place go inside the apartment into the bedroom and notice the closet door was closed; well some smart person whoever broke the bed down had placed the mirror inside my walk-in closet and CLOSED the door so no one would have known there was anything else to move and how we found out, I just so happened to open the closet and look inside and there was my mirror. Now it's 650pm on 2/14/15 and I am steaming!
By the time we get back to my house, they put the mirror together it was 800pm and I paid this company a total of $624 for this crap to move a one bedroom apartment which again Ed/Ron never told me about the 12% charge until two day's before my move. I told Ed/Ron I was not giving him a good review and that I would not recommend their services to anyone. Almost forgot, when I reserved them in December, I was told by Karen that there was not a deposit required but again two days before my move Ed says he needed a $100 deposit to secure my appointment.

I told the company prior to moving that my end tables and coffee table were custom built and to be very careful. They ended up scratching my coffee table. They said that they would repair it. The first time I admit that I did not hear them at the door. The next appointment the repairman was sick. The next time I set it up for 3:30. The repairman came at 3:00. They said the appointment was at 3:15. At this time I don't trust their repairman to fix my table since the moving company scratched it in the first place. The company then claimed that the scratch may not have come from the move. The table was only 2 weeks old. They act like they are doing you a favor. I have to hire a repair company to fix my table. The move was horrific and the response was even worse.

Late December 2014, approximately Dec 27, first contact made with Gainesville office of All My Sons Moving; The male individual made a quote of $1,400 and indicated it should be more due to distance, men involved, but he sill be sure to lock in that price if I get back to him since there were only 2 rooms of furniture involved. I asked if getting back in 2 weeks when Assisted living unit for my mother was ready for the move from Dunnellon Florida to Fort Myers Florida- He answered yes.
I firmed up moving date to be week of Jan 12-13, 2015 and notified Gainesville; got a woman on the phone who indicated she will need 3 men due to a cement statute being moved also even though 2 rooms was involved. I told her to forget the cement statue and said I only wanted 2 men at the lower price she quoted! On Jan 8, I did receive an estimate on the move from a one Kathy **at ** and I have retained copy of same which indicated in brief: "... pick up at (Dunnellon FL- my note) Between 7:30 AM and 9AM, cost based on hourly charge of 2 men and a truck for $124.00 per hour; There is a 7 hour trip charge and a 15% fuel/sales tax added to the total, and to call if I had questions.
On or about January 10 or 11 I first get a phone call that Gainesville will not be doing it with the reason that they only move interstate, and Ft Myers 'All My Sons' is doing the local, and there will be 3 men and the charge is going to be $1,600+. I assumed only 2 men per my earlier conversation with Gainesville would be honored.
The move went well, and 3 men were involved, and also picked up cement statue that is referred to above which was to reduce the cost etc. They dropped off and set up furniture in the Assisted Living Facility at Shell Point fine. However, I do not like being mislead originally, getting switched at the last minute, paying the additional $600+. The bill came out to $2,046.12 which my wife paid by VISA card on January 12, 2015 when the move was made.
I will be writing to many blogs, Angie's list that I had been a member of as Attorney for many years, and already have written to the Elder Care facility blog list in Gainesville about this experience. Can you help and post this notice, it is very hard to email All My Sons, they do not give me their email, only allow a phone call, but I do have Katy ** email which I will copy this to now. Thanking you in advance.

I was scheduled to sell my 1st town home in West Charlotte 5/23, and had to be out before closing. I had the movers pick all belongings 5/22. On 5/23 I was unable to close on my new home because the deal fell through so the movers agreed to store. They charged me for 3 hours to unload truck into storage and then an additional 3 hours to load from storage to truck when I finally did purchase a new home. (I watched them load the truck to first time from old town home to truck and it only took 1 1/2 hrs - not 3 and it only took them 1 1/2 hours to unload from truck to new home - not 3). Then they charged me three hours to unload truck at new home when it only took 1 1/2 hours. That is an additional 4 1/2 of charges at over 100 dollars an hour.
In total this company took me for a little over 2000 dollars. They kept trying to bring things off the truck into my new home that were not mine. So obviously they did not make it to their rightful owners on a previous delivery. I am 40ish and have moved on my own at least 10 times or more. This is ridiculous. When I moved the same furniture from my apartment to the town home in West Charlotte, including travel, the move charge was 250 dollars and those movers were fantastic! Very personable, respectful, quick to move but careful with my belongings at the same time. That as it granted there was not storage.... but seriously??? At this moment I am unable to find the original receipt to this move. I wish I would have kept it (looks like I can claim moving expenses on taxes). Now I have to call them and try to get a duplicate receipt.

Wish I had read the reviews before I called them. I took the advise from a friend who said they were great. When I called they are oh so nice, "yes this is a family" business. We will take good care you. The Estimate they gave was $645.00. We were only moving 2 miles away. Three men arrived with a truck 8:30 in the morning. 3 hours into loading they said they can't take pictures unless they use special boxes and wrapping and each one would be more money (could have told us ahead of time, but didn't). When they got to the refrigerator the guy in charge said we had to unhook the water line to the refrigerator, that they were not allowed to. My husband who was at the new house (where internet was being installed) had to leave and come to the old house to disconnect the refrigerator and I had to go to the new house to be there with Cincinnati Bell (they could have told us ahead of time, but didn't).
When they finally got to the new house and started off loading, we started noticing things that were scratched and things that were missing. My husband went to get his screwdriver with a red handle, couldn't find it anywhere, finally asked the main guy about it, "Oh I think we have it in our tool box.." REALLY? They knew it was not theirs, the only they had, had a mint green handle. My husband had to ask several times before it was returned. A door stop we bought for a heavy door that shuts automatically was missing. Guess what, yep in their tool box. Our china cabinet that did not have a mark on it, all scratched across the front where they dragged the top forward before taking it off, instead of lifting it off. Now it's ruined forever. They moved our brand new washer and dryer, the dryer was scratches all over the top and side, plus they squashed the dryer hose and ring to where they could not be used. We had to go buy new ones before we could hook it up.
We found gouges out of furniture, deep scratches. They also stole furniture marking pens we had in a drawer and six frappuccinos. They were offered water or pop, so not sure why they had to steal drinks. They tracked mud in the finished basement carpet, were not careful or cautious with our things at all. They chipped a large chunk of wood out of the decorative front door of the new house. One guy kept coming into the kitchen to sip his mountain dew every few minutes while yawning and moving so slow. It was a nightmare of an experience. When I showed the main guy the scratches in the china hutch, he tried to touch it up (probably with our furniture pens, that he stole) and told me he would take $40.00 off the fuel charge.
We had moved a lot of our stuff on our own. They moved two bedrooms, a couch, refrigerator, stove, treadmill, ping pong table, washer dryer and dining room, 2 miles away into a ranch and the end cost was over $800.00. We did not tip them. When my husband went outside he found a bunch of napkins (that I had given one of them for a cut) and empty drink bottles that they threw down in our driveway. How professional that was? It was a horrible, exhausting experience that I never want to have again. Do NOT use AMS mover!!! They ruin everything they touch.

They put my things in storage. They came and moved my things into the new home (along with the damaged tv). They pointed out to me that while they were putting things in storage, one of the men accidentally broke my wooden bed frame in half (no longer usable); As they were moving my couch in approx cost of $2,100 they completely snapped the leg off (no longer usable).
To add insult to injury, they reimbursed me a total of $350.00 even though I provided an original receipt for the tv showing I paid over $1500. Live and learn? Please I beg anyone out there. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE DEEPLY SORRY.

Hiring All My Sons Moving to move furniture from an office to a storage was one of the worst business decisions I have ever made. The move itself went wonderfully to the credit of the crew of movers. They were professional and moved all items efficiently and expeditiously. However, the business aspect was horrific. After a mix up regarding payment, it was told by one employee, as long as payment was received in full by that Monday, no additional cost would be incurred. That was not the case. After payment was made in full as agreed, fees were assessed, yet the representative who initially said there would be no additional fees then retracted. The lack of integrity and poor customer service is enough for me to NEVER use their services again. I advise consumers to locate another insured and bonded company to move their personal or office items.

My husband and myself moved from Arizona to Oregon, and we procured All My Sons to move us. We spent 2 weeks packing our belongings, protecting our furniture, and packing everything the way their representative told us to. Everything went smoothly and a day early for on load. We were promised our property would be delivered within 2 days.
5 days later, and after several phone calls to them regarding where our belongings were, we received our belongings. Going from 6 men loading to the driver only delivering, which meant my husband and myself would have to unload our own stuff. No problem. We were also told our belongings would be the only shipment for that truck. We took inclement weather into consideration for the late arrival, and delivery on a Sunday the reason for no crew. But... off came an amount of 6 items that were not our own, and over half of our belongings broken, and severely damaged, and several items missing.
Luckily there was a lock box with a name and phone number on one of the items that did not belong to us. I phoned this person, and she informed me that the other person's belongings were in Idaho. And our belongings were among theirs. I received a call from them saying they would send me an email and I could in turn send a list of my damaged property as well as my missing items. And when we spoke to the "owner" about the tardiness of our belongings, and the fact that we had to out load our own belongings, he only reduced an over 5000 dollar move by 300 dollars. This is in so many ways wrong. I haven't the words for my anger and unhappiness as many sentimental items are now lost and a few of my possessions for my work are missing.

ALL MY SONS is the WORST moving company EVER! I did not realize how horrible this company was as far as customer service, employees, managers, and managers in the Claims department. I wish I did more research with this company. After researching I came across too many reviews of how horrible they were! The reviews were mind blowing to know that the level of customer service and disrespect I received during my interaction with them was the same or worse experience.
FIRST..they DO NOT quote you the correct estimated amount. I was estimated $300 more than predicted. PLUS the movers damaged a couple of my items that I am just now receiving a VERY small portion of reimbursement back 6 MONTHS LATER! The managers I spoke to were the worst! The claims manager (Ashley I believe) was even more disrespectful. The people here need to take a customer service course because I guarantee you that this company will not last long. We had horrible experience with All My Sons Movers just a week ago and still can't believe that they used racketeering technique to squeeze more money out of us. I saw their truck passing by and decided to use their service for our move just across the highway about 2-3 miles away. Their sales guy came out to do the estimate and claimed to be the best and most accurate (after being 15 years with the company). He suggested 4 man, big truck and 8 hours of work to take everything apart and assemble at the destination, with total just under $1600. When their guys showed up on moving day we asked them to move the bedroom first but they refused and started with media and game room (we found out later that they had a plan to hold most valuable items till last).
We let them do as they pleased without realizing how much it will cost us and in the process gave them several pieces of our furniture to keep. Long story short, we realized that something was wrong when 2/3 of the day passed and they haven't done much and told us that it'll take two trips to move everything. We also noticed that instead of taking apart big pieces they move them as a whole. Whatever they took on the first trip they just dropped off without putting it in place or attaching pieces back together.
When they went back for the second trip they told us to call office and make arrangements to pay overtime even though we still had 2 hours left. They used that time to load our remaining furniture which included bedroom and told us they will not give us our furniture if we don't pay overtime rate, another $600 on top of their estimate. Obviously I was outraged but we couldn't sleep without our bedroom so my wife agreed to pay. But that was not enough either and they just dropped off our stuff at the door. So we were left with large furniture pieces to take apart and move ourselves, then we found several pieces damaged badly with some beyond repair. When I told customer service about the situation and damage they replied we have insurance and that was it. The worst customer experience I've ever had. Don't become their next victim.

We had a highly unprofessional service provided to us by the two movers and their general lack of wanting to do their job. When moving out of our previous address, they somehow made a hole in one of our doors in our condo by moving out my desks. They pointed it out and admitted to it but did not provide a solution to the problem they created. That is a rental unit now for me and I need to rent it out immediately. However, with a hole in the guest room door, it does not look properly maintained.
In addition to that, I marked a few boxes "very fragile" because it contained dishes and platters that were wedding gifts and that were highly treasured by my husband and I. While unpacking this week, there were several dish sets and platters that were broken. I packed those boxes and items with newspaper and bubble wrap in some. There is no way those dishes and platters could have been broken if treated as fragile boxes. When my husband and friends moved us prior to this move, we did not have a single thing broken. Also, the way they moved our furniture and put the pieces right side up, warped some of my furniture.
In addition to damage to our rental unit, warped furniture and several broken dishes, the movers left a black and mild cigarette in my front porch windowsill. Lastly, after paying our $1,200 bill, one of the movers had the audacity to ask my husband for a tip. Not only did they not do their job properly but we paid a $1,200 bill, and we just bought a new house! We should not have been expected to tip! Even though we felt obligated to give him $20 (and we did), we did not think we had to.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS....We hired them initially in 7/2014 to move our items into their storage. In Sept of 2014, our house was completed and we requested delivery. What we got back was damaged goods. Every single piece of furniture was either scratched, nicked or chunk of wood missing. A brand new Whirlpool front load washer was broken as they were taking out the drum stabilizers. One of them was snapped inside the machine rendering the machine useless. The best one is a missing post from a four poster bed and as of this day, they have refused to compensate us for it. When this all happened, we contacted the office and Ron came over our house, acknowledged their negligence, and assured us that we will make it all good again, obviously a total lie. When you call the office, they are expert at passing the buck. One week Ron is totally in charge of your issues, next week Celeste is, following week Aaron is. You never get your answer, they just hope that you get disgusted and eventually go away. DO NOT USE THEM, YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY IF YOU DO.

A neighbor hired them, and in the process they ran over and broke the main water on MY property. After losing 6000 gallons of water, they have made this "my problem." The city left a note on my front door advising they had shut my water off, what happened, and who to reach out to at All My Sons. Upon finding this out at 4:30 pm on a Friday, All My Sons forced me to find and hire a plumber (rather than taking immediate ownership for their error); and have also refused to reimburse for the 6000 gallons of lost water the city billed me for. We were terribly inconvenienced with the water turned off for hours at our home, our yard was destroyed where their truck ran over the water line (that mind you was about 12" under ground) and I have wasted an inordinate amount of MY time trying to resolve a matter that I had literally nothing to do with. I will just be sure everyone knows how irresponsible this company is and to stay way from them! A partially furnished 2 bedroom move one block away took two days, two crews & two trucks (since the truck that took 3 men, eight hours to load would not start at the end of the day). Oh, but they did try to throw me a bone and not charge me for travel which was to their storage facility because the crew had timed out and had to come back the next day.

I have a LOT to write about this company. Unfortunately, I am at work and just got called into a meeting. I will be back to go on. Bottom line, they took us for $966 to move 4 blocks allowing themselves 1.5 hours of daylight. The workers were great, explaining how this company works....and "Carter". Then this Carter made them stop not finishing our move. Making us pay them before they would give us belongings off of the truck. While calling the police, they left with our things. They didn't even get the important things we NEED to live. So we're having to pay another company. I guess I read the wrong reviews while researching. Oh, yes, the guys left without setting up beds, making sure everything was up to our satisfaction, and lost pieces to the frame to my daughter's king size bed..... they just LEFT. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. The manager did nothing to make this right. I WILL PLASTER THIS ALL OVER THE INTERNET. This is just the beginning.

We used All My Sons Moving to move all our furniture, store our furniture, and then move it into our new home. First of all the cost was way over the estimate (several thousand dollars). Second of all, they did considerable damage to our property when they moved our furniture out. This would have been a huge issue had it not been for the fact that the new owners were painting the entire area anyway. Thirdly, when they delivered the furniture to our new home many items were damaged and broken. They never offered to come view the items and try to repair what they could. I sent pictures of everything to them. Finally, they offered a paltry amount to try to settle the claim and I would have had to agree to not criticize their company. First of all, I am a easy customer who seldom complains!!! I have moved 7 times before choosing AMS - my normal professional mover could not accommodate us. I first had AMS estimator visit my home. He was a good salesman, but play bait and switch as he said he believed they would get everything in 2 trucks, but it might take 3. I responded saying "I hoped it was 2, but I want a quote to move all of our home to our new out-of-state location." The movers arrived and were friendly. They did not, however, put any protection down for hardwood floors, carpet or stair railings.
The estimated 6 hours to load - which became 11 hours - AND they could not fit into 2 trucks. The estimator then called to say my charges would need to go up. I said his quote was for the move, and I did not dictate the number of trucks. He called me a LIAR and HUNG UP on me. AMS loaded the third truck - AND THEN took it to their place and CRAMMED the 3rd and 2nd trucks together in one!!
Our agreement was for the load and drive to be done on Saturday and unload Sunday. The movers arrived at new location at 8pm Sunday night. They worked 1 1/2 hours and unloaded sparsely - when we immediately saw the first things offloaded were damaged. So Monday before work I had to take shower and dry off with paper towels. They came at 1030am Monday and began offload. My wife lost it - crying as she saw the expensive furniture and rugs that had damage and grime - ex $2,000 rug ruined, $2500 coffee table scarred, scratched Armoire Ruined, $6,000 Sleep Number bed with breakage and grime all over mattress.
Apparently they got a call Monday pm to get done as all of a sudden, stuff was offloaded and piled in our garage. I CAN'T get to my stuff - I did find my wardrobes, upside down in the garage with our clothes and we can't find many things. THIS is NOT the worst. My wife marked EVERY box with where it was to be placed - and that was not followed at all. So we had to re-move most boxes - and at 60, this is not good! BUT, this is not the worst!!!
After clearing areas, I found most walls damaged and worst of all, the hardwood floors are scratched to the wood in many, many places, bannisters split, stairs split, walls with digs and scratches ALL OVER. We are leasing while selling our home so I must fix the damages which I estimate might go over $20,000!!! Too embarrassed to add pictures! Have others considered class action???

Most business try to do what they can to earned your business, however I was told, "oh well, this is what we charge and if you don't like it bye bye," basically. I used this company to move a month ago. I just went through my jewelry box and found that ALL my gold and diamond jewelry is GONE. I'm talking more than $6,000 worth of jewelry. Some of it given to me when I was a child from my relatives in Italy. My wedding ring, GONE. My mother's antique gold bracelet that my father gave her, GONE. A $400 diamond ring I bought when I was younger, GONE. A $2,000 ring I purchased in Brazil, GONE. I can go on, but I'm getting pissed as I'm writing this.
Everything that people are complaining about this company on this site happened to me. They broke many of my antiques. When they moved my furniture and belongings to my new apartment, they just dumped all the boxes and furniture -- damaging several pieces. An antique table was placed upside down and then a bag was thrown over it, breaking a table leg. They quoted me one price over the phone, then the movers took their time, stretching the job out to NINE hours to move mostly boxes and a few pieces of furniture. The price came to $600 more than what was quoted me originally. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'm planning to file a police report.

We hired them to move the big stuff. When I called to get a quote they told me that it would be $99 dollars an hour. I went with them because they seemed cheaper than other moving companies we were looking at. When they got here they then decided to tell us about the trip charge and mileage charge that they failed to disclose to me when we spoke over the phone. I called and spoke to their "boss" about it and he became very argumentative and degrading with me. Stating that it isn't their problem if I misunderstood what I was quoted, that the price still stands and will not change.
We own our own businesses and so I blocked our number and pretended to be someone who needed a quote for a business move and I audio recorded it. Again, I was quoted $99 an hour and nothing more was brought up about there being a trip charge or mileage charge. During the time the movers were "moving" us, the one man took several breaks on our dime to have phone chats. I was also asked for different things to drink. My husband left to go get the cash to pay them with, the two men kept harassing me with saying stuff like he is coming back. Acting like we were going to try and stiff them the money. They became very raunchy acting with me.
I noticed I hadn't seen them in a while so I went looking for them. They were on the tailgate of the truck smoking and cutting up. I asked them what they were doing that I wasn't paying them to sit and smoke. They proceeded to tell me that they were not allowed to move anymore of our belongings off the truck till my husband returned with the payment. So I got to pay them to sit and smoke. They dropped my refrigerator and did quite a bit of damage to it. My front loader also was damaged.
When I try to contact them about submitting a claim I get the run around. It was also hard to get them to put things back together even though it specifically states this is part of their charge. This moving company should be held accountable for their false advertising and poor moving skills. They should not be allowed to stay in business.

We hired them to move us across state about 3 hours away. They showed up 2 hours early which I guess you could say was not a bad thing, but in the course of events that day it went downhill so fast. We got to Rock Hill and waited and waited and waited. It got dark - now we waited so long, then they showed up and hit us with a four hundred dollar amount addendum which they claim was some sort of fee they had to pay at the weigh station, which they never told us anything about. Apparently there’s some sort of little tidbit of a law that states if you use a mover and they use their truck they have to hit the weigh station and there’s added fees involved with all that, road taxes and that sort of stuff.
Well now it’s dark, they show up and say “Okay, pay us the $400 and we’ll unload the stuff for you, WTF?? I said “Hey you never said anything about this before we signed on, and I already gave you the check for $2700 to do the deed up front. I don't have $400 cash on me. How about a check?” “Nope, don't take checks - too late gotta be cash or credit card.” Well, I don't do credit cards. So here we are in the middle of the parking lot, all of our worldly property in the back of this truck and being held hostage. So they tell me if I don’t make up my mind right quick or fork over the money, they're gonna leave and put our stuff in storage at their facility back in Georgia or whatever and I'll have to pay storage on top of, and when I decide to pay them the $400 and then I'll have to pay for them to bring it all up here to me again at that time. So again I say WTF?
Well now we're in panic mode and I call my son who graciously transfers $400 to my bank, and we take it out of the bank and pay them the blood money. So then they spent the next four hours unloading everything. Well I guess I am the stupid one because when they said "okay we're all done", I asked them if the van was empty and of course they said “Oh yeah, no sweat.” They snatched the money up and off they went. Well the next week or so you can imagine we're unwrapping and opening up things as we go and my wife says “Hey? Where are all my leaded crystal ornaments and knickknacks that our son has bought me over the last 22 years for birthdays and Xmas and whatnot?” Well we tore into everything in that house and did it again thinking we missed something. Nope not here.
Well SOB now we're pissed. So I call them and lodge a complaint and they just say, “Hey you shoulda done that a week ago. Did you check in the truck when they finished? We don't have your stuff so blow it out your ear buddy.” Well now the wife is totally distraught. She’s had them crystal things since he was about ten and now they're just gone. So I avoid her for the day and go out to the shed to set up all my tools and stuff. Well lo and behold guess what I find? I open up the top of my ten drawer tool stand alone and everything is topsy-turvy all over the place. I check all the other drawers – same. Even the smaller Kennedy tool boxes are all like someone took them and held them up and just shook them to death.
Well now I start to see the light. They probably never strapped down the tools and left them in the back on rollers and they must have fallen over and probably on top of her crystals and things. So they must have either dumped the stuff or hidden it and never said a word to us about it. I feel that was because while bring down our bed frames they gouged a huge chunk out of one of the walls and we had to haggle the owner about the price to fix that after we moved and he wasn’t none too happy about my not being willing to just let it slide for nothing since we were moving anyway. So no doubt in my mind what happened. And there you have it, our little horror story with these clowns. So if and when you see someone saying “Don't do it.” DON'T DO IT. YOU'LL BE SORRY.

Charged us three times the price quoted. The two guys who came into the house upon arrival looked at our expensive, quality furniture and said "oh **" and the other guy said "this is gonna suck"! Should have known right there what was to come. We had a 5 bedroom house and this was a large move. The truck they brought was way too small knowing in advance the items we had. To fit more items on the truck, they bent our king size Stearns & Foster $5000 mattress. Stood it up and bent it! When delivered to our new home, the coils broke and pushed through the top. This is the top of the line mattress that is so deep, we have to get special sheets to fit it. So for a coil to break and poke through the top, tells you how they handled it.
All mattresses were treated this way. Our dining room set which was $8000 and has carved wood edges. I was very worried about this and mentioned it to the moving guys. Told me not to worry. NO moving blankets were used. Most of the damage would have been avoided if they had just covered the furniture with blankets. Most of the chairs ended up with rub marks and the top of the table had a very long, deep scratch in it down to the bare wood. My stainless steel fridge that was new with no marks or dings, now has several rubs marks on it and a ding in the one door. My LG digital dryer has a cracked screen now. My kitchen table has a chunk of glass missing on the top. A dresser and night stand were damaged and a corner was just knocked off. Our piano was ripped right off of its wood stand and now all the screw holes are stripped.
When we contacted this company to tell them about the damages, they said an adjuster would come out. We waited a week, didn't get a call. Called again, they said he's really behind and it may take 2 or 3 weeks to get to us. Waited and again, no call. Called again, an appointment and time was set up and no one showed up. Called again and were told that the guy who was helping us (Eli) was fired. Had to start this whole process again. A YEAR LATER, because we weren't giving up, they finally sent a guy out to assess the damages. He fixed the wood scratches and told us we were basically screwed on the rest because this company is awful and they don't want to pay for their damages.
At one point, we even offered to just get the mattress replaced and skip the rest. It's bent and makes my daughter's hip and back hurt. Couldn't even work that deal out. Well, we received a letter in the mail from an Irma ** whom we'd never heard of. The address was from Texas which made us realize that there must be a corporate office. The letter was stating that our claims were being denied since so much time passed (even though we were dealing with Eli and Diana ** the whole time). It was signed by Irma. We called Irma and she didn't know who we were. Irma said she never sent the letter and said Diana must have signed Irma's name to the letter. Seems after reading these reviews that Diana is a forger, a liar and very dishonest. Zero integrity! Irma says not to worry, she's going to handle it and to only deal with her. Guess what? Irma calls Diana and now we are back to dealing with this Bradenton office which we had already exhausted.
Back to calling Irma who now doesn't call back. Diana thinks that now that the woods were repaired, this claim is done and sends a release of liability for us to sign. Called the corporate office again and now we are being told a new person is going to call us. Ashley **. Round and round we go. Why should we have to pay for a new mattress? My daughter's back is killing her from the mattress. This is just wrong on so many levels. Irma assured us that she would take care of this and it's not how they should be running their business. Well, after finding this site with over 200 bad reviews, I think it's obvious that corporate knows all about these situations. We are now going to contact a lawyer and the news stations to see what can be done to resolve this matter because we are not going away! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. AWFUL AND THEY DON'T CARE IF THEY DAMAGE YOUR BELONGINGS.

All My Sons was booked 50 days in advance for Friday 8 am, August 1, 2014. Tried to confirm week before. Told no problem. Tried to confirm 3 days before. Told no problem. Was told I would receive call 24 hours in advance to confirm. Friday morning, no call. I call and they tell me it will be late afternoon. I reschedule Cox Cable at new apartment from Friday to August 6. I cancel apartment cleaner for Friday afternoon. I cancel carpet cleaner for Friday afternoon. I can't get another cleaner or carpet cleaner on short notice for Saturday.
All My Sons shows up at 7 pm. They have no tools and are tired from 2 other moves that day. They spend first 2 hours attempting to get furniture that need broken down out the front door, scarring the edges. I get angry and call dispatch. After that it goes downhill. They decide they need a break every 10 minutes to call girlfriends. Then one of the employees' friends shows up to chat with them. I am furious. I am paying $109 an hour for this? The original estimate for a 1 bedroom apartment was 2 hour load, 1 hour travel (5 miles), and 2 hour unload. After 4 hours they have most of my things in the truck. But not 400 lbs. of assorted plants in pots. I am told they can't move plants. They wouldn't even help a 59 year old man with a chronic liver illness and bone spur in right foot load the plants in his car. They watched me and laughed. They told me that the boss told them they had to make this delivery due to the fact I had liver cancer and was going to die soon. Then they said I look pretty healthy to them.
Once we were ready to go, I tried to give them my new address so they could reach the destination with a GPS. They said they had no GPS and that the smart phones they had were not that smart. They insisted they could follow me. Just before we pull out, they throw trash up under the axels of the All My Sons Moving truck. I go to check on it and it is drawers from a dresser from a previous move that some customer must have lost. They intended to leave it in the parking lot at my old location. I put it in my car and still have it. We arrive at 1 am at new apartment. Before they unload I am given a $960 bill to sign. I say NO. Then I call manager, and he discounts to $650.
I was very tired at this point and told them I would tip them good if they sped up a little. It took 4 hours to load my things. It only took 30 minutes to unload it. They stacked furniture against newly painted walls, scratching as they came in. Finally I am moved in and they leave. Then as I see how badly damaged my furniture is, I was horrified. Most of the furniture that I had bought 2 1/2 years ago brand new was damaged and scarred. It had never been moved since installation. I had no pets or kids. My antique desk was broken and had missing parts. Fine china, over a hundred year old that belonged to my great grandmother was broken. My new walls were scratched. I filed a claim right away, and have never had so much trouble in my life.
I have sent All My Sons Claims Department packages twice. I have done everything they asked and spent over 40 hours of personal time getting estimates to repair my furniture. Still to this day September 17, 2014 I have received nothing from them. I have filed a claim at Better Business Bureau. I have emailed my forms to them, uploaded PDF files I created with all the damages and estimates and still they rate asking for more proof. I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown due to this company and hope that my liver illness does not take a turn for the worse over my stress and constant aggravation. Please do NOT let this company steal your hard earned money and ruin your belongings.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They told us one price to suck us in and then added an additional $300 plus to the bill. Did not send a big enough truck to move everything so at least 1 room full of furniture was left behind that we had to move ourselves. Unloaded some of the furniture and then held the rest hostage in their truck until we paid them - so I had to pay them. I called the company to question the additional money while they were unloading the rest of our things and was very rudely spoken to by a female named Diane **. Awful customer service!!!
I asked to speak to the owner and was told she was out of town. I said that I was disputing the amount with my credit card company and that I certainly wanted to pay for the service I received BUT I would not pay for the additional charges added to my bill, especially since furniture was left behind. I asked to please have the owner call so she and I could better understand the problem but she never bother to call me back. Then this same Diane ** flat out lied and told my credit card company that "There was no problem at time of payment". When my credit card company asked them for information, they totally rewrote the contract paper and forged my sister's signature. It doesn't get much worst than that. VERY DISHONEST COMPANY!!!

We contacted All My sons in St Louis regarding a very small move, basically a mattress and box spring, bookcase, small desk and a few boxes. The move was from St Louis to O'Fallon, Mo. We were told they would be out Friday morning, August 29, between 8 & 9 in the morning. Perfect! Around 9:30 we received a call that they would be at least a couple hours late because one of the movers got hurt the day before and they were having trouble lining up another mover because it was Labor Day weekend. All the other movers were already on scheduled jobs and as soon as they were finished, they'd be right over. This went on all day long with us making calls to them, and getting jerked around, to see where we stood and being promised repeatedly that we'd definitely be moved that day.
The final call was around 3:30 from one of the owners saying that they had a crew just finishing another job, they were coming back for our paperwork and would be there within the hour. About an hour later, after foolishly assuming they were on the way to St Louis, we got a call saying that they just couldn't do it today. Their movers were just too hot and too tired to do any more for the day! Then they suggested Sunday, because they were too busy tomorrow! We immediately called another company, one which we were considering to begin with, and got scheduled with them for next week. Hopefully, they'll get the job done! We will NEVER even consider using All My sons for any future moves and would NEVER recommend such an unprofessional moving company to anyone!

Now for the biggest loss I had was LOSING MY NEARLY NEW FLAT SCREEN TELEVISION. Al was the one who decided to take it since I hadn't paid them completely the first day. The second day, I paid them very little. When I called them to come and get my TV, AL told me they had sold it! Don't even think about using them!! The young men who did the actual moving were great! Only complaint there was my storage room. Had to pay some friends to straighten it up. I am still struggling to find the money to get a new TV. It'll happen. =)

If you have a opportunity, DO NOT work for this horrid company. Applied for operations manager position. After interviews with human resources manager (the most unprofessional and useless HR worker I have ever talked with) and the owner of company, I was told a face to face interview and tour of facility would be scheduled the following day. After one week of hearing nothing, I tried contacting the HR person and so called owner of the company. Nothing. Another week later, I email HR asking if meeting was still being scheduled or they decided to move on. All I wanted was a honest answer and not to be left in dark.
I was told by same HR person I interviewed with, that after my trip to home office in Dallas, we would have tour of facility that I was being considered for. A hour later, I get a phone call from same person telling me that she sent me the wrong email. It was intended for another person! That was the 3rd time in the process they sent me a email intended for someone else! That's when I decided no way would I work for a company as dishonest and unprofessional as All My Sons even if I was offered the job. I read all the negative reviews and for years have heard the horror stories regarding this company but always figured just upset customers and workers. But I learned 1st hand these stories are most likely true and am thankful now I work for good company with a great reputation.
By chance, a coworker used to work for AMS and confirmed how bad a company they are and told me how lucky I was not to get involved with such a horrible company from the owner on down to the office staff. If you are buying a product, you are going to read the reviews from other people to see if it is worth your money. The same goes for looking at a new job. If the majority say the product is bad, you take their word for it and don't buy. If the majority of customers and employees say the company is not good or worse, same theory applies. Thankfully I learned this personally and feel very fortunate.

She said since I did speak with some yesterday that I got moved to the afternoon. Not only that but she had my information wrong about my move. A very long story short... My first experience was good. The team put our couch upstairs without issue as they took off the legs and partially the Bannister. We then contacted them again when we were moving .3 mile away. The team that came tried to bring that same couch down that the other team did so effortlessly because they took the legs and part of the Bannister off. The lead guy on this team refused to listen to me and destroyed the hall way. When I told him he had to take the legs off and part of the Bannister, he yelled there are no legs; and I said yes there are.
Bottom line, $525.00 in damages later, I had to take the Bannister off because this "leader" would not take the responsibility. When they got it down the steps I showed him where the legs were and he turned around and walked away. The owner has been no assistance and I have tried to get him to return my emails and phone calls. This particular All My Sons has no integrity, lousy service and they are not cheap. All they had to do was move heavy furniture .3 of a mile because my wife and I moved all the little stuff and it cost me 1200 dollars. I'm the idiot. I'm a single father with some medical concerns that make it almost impossible for me to finish packing everything myself much less moving. I was moving me and the kids out of a two bed apartment to a three bed house. I had to hire movers to help me pack and move. I explained everything to the person that took my initial phone call, everything that needed packed and all the furniture that was to be moved. He went on about how they will quickly get it all done for me and even went into how they pack the stuff for you and scheduled my move with a three man crew for a Friday morning.
The next Sunday, that's right, they kept pushing me back and got there for the move on Sunday, the two man crew show up. One of them spends 45 minutes taking inventory on furniture and calling in to someone, while the other guy loosely and painfully slowly, packs a few things. After being there for almost an hour, They told me that they were only sent out for a move and they were not told any packing was needed, so they were cancelling my move because they didn't have time to change the kind of call they were on since they had other places to be and I wasn't packed and ready for them to be there yet.
While they were UNLOADING the truck of what was already in, the dispatch called me to explain how it was my fault they were cancelling by not being ready plus they found a small mess that I had missed in a back room while cleaning that morning, by a small child's pet cat, and told me that makes the entire house a health hazard because "our crew doesn't wear gloves", then told me to find a different moving company. Crappy company that lied to me about what they did, then blamed me for not being ready when I expected them to do it. I am still not moved and having to pay rent while I try to get someone else to help move me.

I just got back into town after helping my Son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandbabies (ages 8 weeks & 1 yrs old) move 1700 miles. I was there to supervise the moving crew who were supposed to pack the house and put it in the moving van. My son and family started their drive that morning. They were hired so I wouldn't have to exhaust myself before driving the first 15-hr leg to CA. When three kids (I was told later that they were in their 20s, not kids) showed up to do the packing/ loading, I was concerned but they were polite.
After just an hour, I could see that they were not going to get the job done without me doing some of the loading/packing help. I spent the next 7 hours going non-stop. They were working hard, but really had no idea on what they were doing or how to do it. A manager called 3 hrs into the move and asked if they were working hard and if there were any problems. All I could say to him was that they were working hard (it was very hot) - I felt I was between a rock and a hard place - I was afraid if I complained they would walk out then I'd be stuck with the whole thing myself and we were on an extremely tight deadline. I kept my mouth shut and kept working.
What was truly unprofessional was that they were told multiple times to PUT THE CRIBS/BEDS IN LAST, so we could get them out first to set them up for the babies. They ended up in the middle of the van! The un-packers (not associated with this company) started unpacking the van, and kept apologizing for the horrible job that was done by All My Sons - they even gave us their names/contact info if there was any eye witness proof needed for a claim. Furniture was gouged, kitchen chairs broken as well as wooden play table chairs which I found out are not insured since THEY didn't drive the moving van.
My son paid for experienced movers and got taken advantage of - inexperienced workers, exorbitant supplies fees and fuel surcharges on top of no insurance coverage for their flawed packing. When I called the very day I flew back in town after helping them settle and unpack, the manager said he couldn't do anything since I didn't call right away. Would NOT recommend this moving company. They may brag that they have moved the Cowboys & the Dallas Stars, but did not treat a regular family like they should have!!!

Set up the move on the phone. Quoted $119 flat rate, 3 guys and a truck, 4 hour travel charge. Were told by "trainee" that we could contact the local people for an estimator. They didn't actually have an estimator, but convinced that we only needed one truck. Day of the move the "trainee" called, and said he made a mistake. For local moves they only send two guys. Movers show up late, and tell us they charge 6 hours travel time, take it up with the office if we don't agree. The two guys did a good job moving us, worked hard, but of course, ran out of space, so we had to leave stuff behind. Now for the fun part. Time to pay the bill.
First of all it took one of the guys about 30 to 40 minutes to get the bill set up. Time he wasn't moving our stuff. They had 10 hours for the move, and 6 hours travel time at a cost of $119 for the first eight hours, and $178,50 for the time after that because they do charge overtime. Would have been nice to know. Then they continue to charge a fuel surcharge of $400 plus. Again, would have been nice to know. Asked them how they could charge us double time for sitting in the truck driving here. Luckily they agreed on that so they changed that.
Long story short, took the guy an hour to figure all this out, and then those ** have the nerve to charge us $400 more, because it took the guy another two hours to finish the job. All in all, these people are a bunch of criminals, and what they do should be against the law. My advice, get their fees in writing, get what they say in writing, otherwise stay clear of them. They are criminals, and they know exactly what they are doing. I would bet that their "trainee" has been there for a number of years. This is just the scam they run, and they totally screwed us.... Stay clear, Please don't be a dummy like I was.

Made reservations after we sold our house and it was wonderful and I would not need to worry about anything. Made some additional changes with scheduler where they needed to move entire house of furniture as well as boxes. No one ever called to confirm and when I did the day before I went over everything with someone and all they wanted was a $200.00 deposit which I did. When movers finally arrived they said they could not do the move as quick and had no extra trucks so would need to do two truckloads.
Spent 30 minutes arguing with customer service and they stated I lied about the changes. Many of my wood furniture was damaged and they never really finished moving my furnishing which we had to do ourselves. Held the last truckload hostage until they were paid in full. Then they just pretty much threw the boxes and furniture where it would fit and left. Tools of ours they needed to borrow where actually stolen and company denied everything. I was quoted a price of $119 an hour, minimum 2 hours plus a trip price of 1 hour. And 10% fuel charge for the entire move. I have one bed, a chest of drawers, a love seat, 2 chairs, a table and chairs, and a treadmill. Plus approx. 20 boxes. The gentlemen on the phone quoted that it would take about 2 or 2/12 hours. I was moving 15 minutes away. Even if it took 3 hours plus the one hour trip it would only be approx. $500. Sounded high, but ok. First they told me that they would be there at 8 a.m. Then Calvin, the dispatcher, called back and said it would be afternoon instead. About 1-2 pm. Nobody showed. I must have called them 20 times that day. Finally about 5pm. I called Calvin and he said due to weather they were running behind. I had plans Saturday night so I asked if they worked on Sunday. He said yes and scheduled me for 8 am Sunday. They showed at 9am. There were 3 men. They came in and started working.
They wrapped everything. Since they were bonded and insured, I assumed that they had to do this to protect themselves. When I told them they didn't have to do that, they said it was required. It took them 1 1/2 hours to load. I told them the new place was 15 minutes away. They informed me they had to stop for gas. I called Calvin and told him I was not paying for them to stop for gas. He assured me that I wouldn't. They got to the new place about 30 minutes later. They told me they stopped for gas and something to drink. Then they proceeded to tell me the bill had to be paid before they unloaded. I was not informed of this at all. It was $580. Plus the $50 already paid that made the bill $630. For a 1 bedroom apartment. CRAZY!!! They charged me for 3 1/2 hours of moving, the 1 hour travel time, plus $50 for moving supplies. All that tape and wrap which I didn't ask for and they don't tell you that you have to pay. I have to say the movers did an excellent job. They took care of all my belongings and nothing was broken in the move. I don't blame them at all. They were only doing their job.
Who I blame is the office and Calvin the dispatcher. NO ONE tells you of the hidden costs. They assembled by bed and took all the wrap off of everything. Again, I don't blame the movers themselves. They were polite and very professional. And I did get charged for them stopping to get gas. You don't have much choice but to pay them because you won't get your furniture if you don't. They also got there and told me they couldn't move my liquor or food items. I had 2 boxes of liquor. No one told me that when I called. I will never use them again. EVER! Please don't use them. I have moved many times and this was the worst move by far I have ever experienced!! 2 Young men showed up with no dollies. When asked how they were going to move with no dollies, they replied, "we're strong, we can do it." Although I can appreciate the optimism, all I could see was the cost meter tallying up all the time it would take to move one box at a time. I then spoke with "Damien" who advised that the crew said it was about a 3 hour job and recommended that I have another man. After discussion about that, I agreed to have a 3rd person. The two guys left my place to go back and get dollies. The third person did not come back. A vintage sewing cabinet was drug instead of picked up and one of the legs broke off. I did not closely supervise the two guys and my things were POORLY stacked in my storage unit, therefore I will not know if there is any further damage for another month when I can unpack.
When I confronted the guys about how things were being packed in storage I was told, "they'll be okay Ma'am." While unloading, several times a box fell off their highly stacked dolly. When I originally made the reservation with Damien, I was told that I would be called prior to the move to confirm the move and during the move to see how the guys were doing. Neither happened. DO NOT USE! Wish I could give them less than one star if that was an option. I moved with them during the first week of May 2014, locally in Bradenton. Here are the issues I ran into: 1) They have fancy pics on their websites of movers in uniform etc. The crew that showed up looked like a cross between homeless vagrants and drunk truckers; 2) Their original estimate for the move was 4 hours "tops". It turned out 9 hours. I know estimates are estimates, but this was not even close. I ended up going way over budget; 3) They "got lost" trying to find my new place (which was 30 minutes away from the old one, and clearly visible on GPS and Google Maps) for an hour. I do not see that as my fault when I have given detailed address and directions. That time was added on the charge, in addition to their base "one hour travel time"; 4) They swiped my wife's prescription **. All other "less attractive" medications like antibiotics were thankfully left untouched.
We were so tired by the end of it all that we didn't even bother to press any charges; 5) They did not assemble a bed at the destination when they were supposed to. Our fault that we should have checked thoroughly before we let these guys go, but it was chaotic at the destination and our attentions were occupied by other more important things. When I called after they left, their driver did not answer my phone. We feel sad and cheated after using these guys. I genuinely try to trust and like people I work with. We discovered most of the issues after these guys left, and it felt bad when you realize that you tipped them nicely and bought them pizza and the works. I can't go back and change anything, but hopefully, others will learn from this experience.

Tuesday 7th. The movers showed up at 3:00 p.m., but they should have been at my apartment to start the move at 10:30 a.m., but they got lost and could not find the apartment building. They arrived at 3:00 p.m. When they already arrived hours late, they looked at the number of boxes I had already packed and told me the job was too large for just 2 men. They said it was a job for 4 men. They called the office, and the office representative and told me they did not have an additional 2 men that Tuesday, but could have 4 men on the next day, Wednesday, May 7th. One of the workers made a deal. One of the workers said to me, "Mrs. **, this is what I can do. I have a trailer, and I can take the boxes to your new apartment. First, I have to take the company's truck and the paperwork back to the company. I will get my personal truck and trailer, and take your boxes to the other apartment for $250.00."
They arrived around 6:00p.m., in the worker's personal truck and trailer, and started moving the boxes. I paid $225.00 for this work. When the worker arrived at my new apartment, I paid him $220.00 because I did not have an extra $5.00. Later that night, I paid him the other $5.00. The movers started bringing the boxes upstairs to my apartment. They brought a few boxes and I did not see them for a while. After not seeing them for a while, I went downstairs and noticed the movers were just stacking all the boxes near the side of the elevator. When I arrived downstairs, one of the movers was walking towards me with a lot of black liquid on his clothes asking me what it was.
I noticed he had busted one of the boxes, spilled a lot of black liquid on the floor in the lobby and was tracking it all over the lobby floor. I had to immediately rush to the restroom, get paper towels and began wiping the floors, because the residents had started to complain. What the mover had spilled was a bottle of black sugar. I had packed this myself, and knew that the box had to have been thrown in order for all the items in it to be busted. I cleaned up as much as I could. I was informed the movers had left dirty papers in the building. The truck arrived on the 8th. The next morning, when I arrived at the new apartment, I heard someone calling my name loud. It was a woman from the office of my new apartment building.
I had to go to the office, to speak with the district manager and other authorities. They asked me if I had moved in the night before. They told me the neighbors were upset at how late the movers had been at the apartment building. They were also upset about the black liquid being on the floor and asked me exactly what it was. I apologized. I told them what the black liquid was. I went back to the workers. The worker really messed up the lobby of my new apartment building.
Broken items the movers on Tuesday night broke: Gold and black Peddle Column - 3 feet tall -40 inches - I paid $400.00 for this item in New York over 35 years ago. Over sink compartment that I purchased from a magazine $100.00. 1 Large crystal bowl 45 inches $150, purchased in Brooklyn, New York 35 years ago. Grab it: $59.00 purchased 5 years ago. Cluster of roses basket of ceramic roses pebbles broken, handle broken, purchased in New York 35 years ago paid $500.00. Stolen property: 1 Telephone purchased for $90.00.
Wednesday 8th. Workers arrived at 11: 30a.m. The 4 men look sorry and unprofessional. One over came in with ear-phones in his ear. I have all my things already packed. The only items left out were a few things I had used the night before. All boxes were packed; all of the boxes were labeled to identify which room each items had come from. I have spent more than six hour packing.
Quote, when I first contacted the moving company, the priced quoted was $109.00 per hour. When the four men arrived on Wednesday 8th, the price went up from $109.00 per hour to $159.00. Move begin Wednesday, it took 4 men six hours to move boxes that were already packed from my apartment on the second floor to the truck outside. This should not have taken this long. The movers were riding the clock. At about 6:30-6:45, one of the movers received a telephone call informing him that his 11 year old son who had a tumor in his head, cancer, was being rushed to the hospital. He was at home being taken care of by Hospice & was being taken to the emergency room. The mover told me his wife had called and the mover had to get off the clock and leave.
Now there were only 3 men left to complete the move. The sorry men come up stairs with only one box at a time. They were taking their time. Demand for immediately payment. Before unloading the truck, one man told me, "This is how we do business Mrs. **. We cannot remove anything from the truck until you make full payment." I asked them how much the full payment was. The mover was on the phone with the office.
He walked up to me and said, "Mrs. **, I know you are not expecting to have to pay this amount the amount presented to be that had to be paid before the movers could unload the truck was $1,924.23." I said," No, this is impossible." I told them it was more than I had been quoted. They predicted they would complete the move by 9:00 p.m. and that was the price I had to pay before they could remove my furniture from the truck. I told the woman who was now on speaker phone that I did not have that kind of money. She told me she had my Visa credit card number on file and she processed the card for the full amount of $1,924.00. The $1,924 did not process, because I had already told her I did not have this amount on the card. I told her to try and process the card for $1,400. The amount was cleared.
The woman on the phone from their office said that I still had a $524.23 balance that I had to pay before she could give them permission to start unloading the truck. I told the movers and the woman on the phone that the only money I had was actually in a dresser drawer on the truck .The movers then went to the truck and without unpacking they stepped all over my furniture, boxes and other items to reach the dresser drawer where I had the money. They reach the drawer, the money was in my bible, and the movers reached the bible, threw it to a man and the man gave it to me. The woman on the phone made sure the total was paid; she then gave the men permission to go ahead and unpack my furniture and other items from the truck. She told the movers they only had until 9:15 p.m. to complete the move, or she would have to start clocking me again, and I would get a new bill. One the total amount of paid. The woman on the phone hung up.
My new apartment was on the 4th floor of the building. The movers started to bring one box at a time on the elevator to my apartment. They seemed to be taking their time; there was no rush at all. 8:30. Another middle age man arrived to help with the move. Now, there were now 4 men. This man did have a sense of urgency to get the job completed and told the other workers to move faster to get the job completed with the allotted time. They only had 45 minutes to get the job done.
This man had a way to bring 3 boxes at a time up stairs. I was worried that they would not finish before 9:15. Time move completed. The movers finished unloading at 1:00a.m. After a long while of waiting in my new apartment, the movers had not come back upstairs to my apartment. I took the elevator downstairs and saw one of the movers sitting and watching television. I asked him if he was off the clock. He answered that he was off the clock, because he had hurt his back earlier in the day.
By this time there only two men working, but I was paying for 4. Around 12:30 a.m., the movers were about to leave, and I had to ask them to please assemble my bed so that I would have a place to sleep. I was very upset with the quality of the service. The movers then lifted the heavy mattresses and assembled my bed. After they assembled my bed, I thought they had other boxes to bring up stairs. I did not see the movers again. I paid for 4 men to work I only ended up with 2 men working. Before my move was completed, there were only 3 men working on my move.
1:00 a.m. at 2. For the last 45 minutes of the move, I had 3, but for most the move, there were only 2 men working. The movers did not let me know when the move was completed I did not get information that the moved was completed, the movers just left.

This is what I posted to the All My Sons Facebook page. We used the All My Sons in Omaha, NE. Our move was Sat, 3/1/14. I am really displeased with our experience with the moving company. I made an appointment 3-4 weeks prior to our move. When I made it, I was asked what time would be best for us. I advised morning and was given a time frame of 7:30-9:00 am. We were happy with that. Every time I spoke with someone at your moving company, they all confirmed the same time. The DAY BEFORE, when I called again to confirm, I spoke with Matthew and was told there "were issues" and our time frame moved to 10:00-11:00 am. Although I wasn't happy for the sudden change, I accepted as we had to be out of the apartment on 3/1. Saturday came. I called at 9:33 am & spoke with Jarred. He said that he would call our movers & call us back.
He called back at 9:41 am & told me that the movers were "finishing up" with a difficult move, that it would be around 1/2 hr (it may have been 20 minutes) and the movers would be over to our place. After over an hour, I still didn't hear anything so called at 11:02 am. I again spoke with Jarred who told me that he'd get in touch with our movers. He called me back at 11:35 am and told me it would be another HOUR. At 12:36 pm he called me & said that they were finished and headed to our apartment. They showed up just around 1:00 pm. We went from a 7:30-9:00 am time frame, to a 10-11 am time frame the DAY BEFORE OUR MOVE, to having someone finally show up around 1:00 pm!
Now, tell me, how do you think I, as a customer, feels about that? Does that seem "reasonable" to you as a representative of All My Sons? My next issue is a broken item. The one item that has been with me for over 20 years and has been in my family well over 40 years, gets broken. It is a tall lamp that was my grandmothers. It cannot be replaced. There is no amount of money or any words that can possibly make up for it now being broken. I have moved with this lamp at least 6 times. I moved from AL to WA with it. The one time we decide to utilize a moving company, it gets broken. I cannot express the anger and heartbreak I am feeling. As you read this, I'm sure you're thinking - it's just a lamp. But, as mentioned above, this was something my grandma had for years and was given to me when our family had to sell the home they had lived in almost her entire life.
To me, it is not just a simple, replaceable item. This is a follow up to the above Facebook post I made. Several weeks ago, I sent in the claim paperwork - with pictures, a letter of what happened, notarized it like it was required. I received your offer letter today for $60. The lamp that was broken is over 65 years old. I CANNOT use it. It CANNOT be replaced. I am posting everywhere I can find and tell everyone that will listen to me to NEVER use All My Sons. This experience has been nothing but a nightmare I cannot recommend this company to anyone. The only positive I can even think of is that, once they finally arrived, the movers were quick to get things out of the apartment. But the broken lamp along with the extreme lateness, just negates all that.

I was quoted $500 for an apartment move within the same complex with a move time between 12-2. They show up at 3:30 and go over the real cost with me, hourly rate is $129 including an hour travel charge for .02 miles. I have no choice at that point as they know because you have to be out of your apartment due to a lease. The guy in charge, I never saw during the move at the first apartment. The two workers, not muscular and were very tired from working all day. They did not have their own water. It took 4.5 hours to move what I was told would be 2 hours to move. The final bill was $810. I had moved 7 months earlier with the company, I thought I was calling for $550.
The 3rd mover did work at the second location, scuffed a doorway but said it was because the furniture was too big. He was extremely forceful about a tip also. He came back to leave his number if I needed side jobs done...I called to complain and got the dispatcher who was extremely rude and condescending (I am female). He admitted the guys were tired because it was a busy move day but would not relent about crediting my account. I have moved several times and this was a nightmare. No stars if possible. This company will low ball a quote and hit you with all of the extra's when you have no chance to bargain. The two guys that moved me were nice but were not built for moving furniture.

I needed to have furniture and boxed contents moved 1/2 mile from a one bedroom condo. The estimate quoted $139.00 per hour worked packing and unpacking plus one hour for travel. I estimated a cost around $400.00. It took one hour to pack and one hour to unpack ink the storage unit. I was charged for a total of 5 hours plus 22% for gas plus packing materials fee or a oral of over $900.00. The movers gave inaccurate numbers for their hours (we were there to witness exactly how long) and were never told of the other fees. They made us sign the estimate of over $900.00 saying they would refund for hours not worked. The charge was exactly what the estimate was with NO change reflecting actual hours worked. This is theft! After hours on the phone I finally got one hour refunded! Still much more than was right. This company is a ripoff! Choose a different mover!

All My Sons Dallas was a completely horrible experience. I used them because the last time I moved was reasonable, but I will never use them again and I am telling everyone not to ever use them after this experience. They were 2.5 hours later than the latest time I was told. The manager then proceeded to tell me that I would have 3 movers for the price of 2 to-speed it up since they were so late. Once they arrived however, one was "sick" and just sat in the truck the whole time. All the guys were way too young and clearly not knowledgeable on how to quickly and effectively move things. My previous experience included 2 stops to pick up items and then carrying everything up 3 flights of stairs to a 1 bedroom apt and only cost $368 total. This was of course my expectation this time if not less because I was simply moving to a different apartment in my same complex!
However the guys were so slow and tired because they had been working since early that morning so it took them 6 whole hours and I had to pay over $700... For a 1 bedroom! Don't do it!!! The manager was also very rude to me each time we talked and I tried to share my case that every expectation I had was not completed. The worst part of all was that they charged my card in the middle of unloading for $565 and so my thought was the manager realized they were going too slowly and that was going to be my total no matter what. Why else would they charge then and not at the end? But after they had left, they called and said they were sitting outside my apt and would be there till I paid the other $150 that I owed because they didn't finish till 11:15 at night!
As a young woman I felt completely taken advantage of and pressured so I paid it. This was the worst example from not only the movers, but the management! He actually argued me by saying his guys deserved all that money because they had been working hard since 6 am! If you ask me, they are to blame for over-working their movers. How could anyone be expected to do their manual labor job effectively for 17 hours!? If I had these guys first thing in the morning, I guarantee you it would have taken 3 hours. It is not my fault that they were tired and slow at their job. I should not have to pay for that! This is not the last they will be hearing from me because this whole experience was completely unfair and ridiculous. They don't even deserve to be called a business by the BBB if this is how they are going to treat their customers!

My wife and I had scheduled a move with All My Sons in Atlanta about 2 1/2 weeks in advance of our scheduled move date. They took our deposit and scheduled the date. About 2 days before the scheduled move, they called and told us they would arrive in the afternoon as there was higher priority move scheduled the same day. Knowing we had to move on Friday to be out of our apartment lease on Saturday, we let them know that it had to be done on Friday.
On the day of our move, we heard nothing from All My Sons. We called them around 4 in the afternoon to get a status on the truck and movers. We were told their first move was taking longer than expected because the people 'lied' about what they had. We were told it could be 6 or 7 PM before they got to us. Upset and tired of waiting, we told them we would be calling back at 6 PM to get an updated status. At 6 PM the "Manager" informed us that because of the rain, they would have to reschedule our move for Saturday afternoon. Again, I notified them we had a lease expiring and HAD to be out by 5 PM on Saturday. He could not guarantee it and kept on apologizing. While in most situations I can accept an apology and a re-schedule, but when you're talking about money that is going to have to be spent because I am not out of the apartment, your apology means nothing to me.
My wife and I had to rent a moving truck and do the entire move on our own in less than 24 hours. I'm a Marine Corps veteran with a back injury from an accident while on Active Duty. I can't lift the heavy items that were required to be lifted. All My Sons doesn't seem to care about that, and instead they schedule 20 moves in the hopes that 10 of them cancel, so they can meet the requirements of the 10 customers that still need to be moved. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will be on a social media blitz to spread the word about this company. I have also contacted Consumer Reports with WSB-TV in Atlanta about this company. I will not stop until they are no longer doing business in the Atlanta area. You cannot treat people the way they treated us and expect to just continue to do business as normal. Consumers drive markets and in this market, this consumer will drive you out!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Please save yourself a lot of grief and heartache and DO NOT use this moving company. During the move, this company damaged a wooden bar with two 2 bar stools, a TV hutch, two antique Hitchcock chairs were broken beyond repair, a TV armoire, a Henredon chair, a nightstand, two dressers, an antique bed, a hand painted table, an antique pie table, five wooden picture frames were crushed and a Maitland-Smith dining room sideboard table had all the legs broken and the top ruined. Almost every piece of wooden furniture they touched was damaged and then someone tried to glue back the broken pieces and color over glue with touch up pen and hoped I didn't notice.

Called for the move and it all sounded very organized and professional. I was moving a very small home with a modest amount of furniture that I had just moved 11 months prior. They brought their largest truck. With only about 1/10th of the truck full they started saying they thought it would take a second trip. I am talking a 1200 square foot house. I immediately called the "owner" sensing a scam. Sure enough there was plenty of room on the truck. It was to cost the hours it took to move me plus one travel hour. Then they started saying my deposit was non-refundable during the move. Then they added cost for fuel and charged me for tape too. They had me pay extra for the time to unpack and it was difficult getting the 100.00 credit back.
They said the credit would be issued the next day since it was so late in the day - it was 12:30pm on a business day. Then four days later they tried to blame it on the bank then said they had to wait for my payment to go through. It went through immediately on my cash card that day. I am still waiting for the credit going on five days. Then I called about glass they broke and the man with a heavy accent claimed he was not working the day of the move. Although we spoke to this man three different times the day of the move. He said a guy named Josh worked that day however when I called for the owner due to the two trip scam "Josh" was unavailable all three times.
Originally Josh said he was the owner when I questioned the hidden costs of fuel plus tape, etc. Hence why I know that the guy with the accent was the one I was speaking with the day of the move. Josh called me first thing and said to call him with any problems however when they tried to sell me on the two trips in the first half hour of the move I called Josh. He was unavailable for the rest of the day. So now the guy with the accent says he did stop in to the office the day of my move and he does start to recall the three times he spoke with me. He did then recall the broken glass that he spoke to the moving men about. The moving men did a really good job they got things done fast.
However one announced that they do take tips as soon as he greeted me which I did not like very much. I always tip movers good but none has ever been that way about tipping. Now as far as the glass they want us to get an estimate on how much it will cost and he said something about only giving me so much per some measurement ie they do not replace things they broke in full. The bottom line is I would not hire them as they are so dishonest. It could have been much worse if something had really gone wrong like a major breakage. I would not risk another move with this type of dishonesty that is the operating procedure with this company.

I was quoted a price by All My Sons Moving & Storage, and was forced to pay 46% more than quoted, or I would have lost one-half of my belongings. I hired, via the internet, All My Sons Moving & Storage of Bradenton / Sarasota / St. Petersburg on or about 5/1/14. I received a phone call from their owner a couple days before the move, which was scheduled on 5/9/14. We spoke for 20 minutes; we negotiated a final and total price of $119.00 per hour, plus 1 hour travel time. The movers arrived at 9:15 am. I received a phone call from the new house at 4:15 pm. The movers wanted to get paid in full up until 6 pm. They said they were not moving anything else off the truck until they were paid in full. I went there and asked for a price. The total time was 8.75 hours, plus 1 hour travel is 9.75 total hours, multiplied by $119.00 per hour, which would be $1160.25. No, they demanded just under $1,600.00 or they would keep the rest of my belongings that were yet to be unloaded from the moving truck.
I was put on the phone with the owner, he rambled on and on, item after item, of extra charges that were never disclosed to me. In particular, not in the prior phone conversation we had. The most egregious of all was that he wanted me to pay his employees for overtime. When I mentioned this to his employees, they said "We get this all the time", followed by "We work for tips only". Now, how can the owner demand overtime for his employees when they work for tips only and are not paid? Someone at All My Sons Moving & Storage is lying.
I felt sorry for the three guys and gave them $120, which was $40 a piece. This just added to my costs. The price should have been $1160 according to the 20-minute phone conversation I had with the owner, but it would up at $1700 with tip (which I paid only because they said they weren't paid). That is a 46% charge over what I was told by the owner during our 20-minute phone conversation. In addition, All My Sons Moving & Storage sent a truck far too small, either on purpose or because they are incompetent to complete the job in one trip. They wanted to go back and get my additional belongings that they couldn't put on the truck the first time. That could have doubled my price because at that time the employees that "worked for tips only" were on overtime for their boss.
After being coerced out of an extra $540, I wasn't, nor couldn't afford to have them continue their pre-meditated, well-orchestrated scheme. Now, I still have a house full of belongings that I have to pay another moving company to move. What I was lead to believe was going to cost me $1160, is going to cost more than double because of All My Sons Moving & Storage. This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as this scheme went. It went on to include an attempted fuel surcharge, tape, cardboard, overtime, and things I don't even know anything about. This was a total scam from beginning to end. I'll get by, but some customers with limited funds could wind up losing half of their possessions to this company. It's no wonder that they also have a "storage" facility. How many poorer people's belongings are in there?

Horrible! I contacted All My Sons to help me move my shed. Granted, it is not their forte, but I explained the situation, and they said they could do it. I have a 10' x 12' tool shed I needed moved and it all came apart into manageable sections. I set up the move for noon on Sat. at 11:30. They said they would be there within 45 min. Finally, at 1:00, they showed up. I filled out paper work and we got started on the shed. Somewhere along the way, someone told the moving crew that we were only moving the shed from the back yard to the front yard, even though I gave them a pick up address and a separate drop off address and told 3 different people over the phone that it needed to be moved from our old house to the new house.
Not a big deal but I would assume being a big company they would be able to keep things like that straight. We pulled off the roof of the shed, and they were starting to be reticent about the move. Granted, the roof has shingles and it was heavy. So I said I would take off the shingles and plywood so it would move easier. As I am pounding off the plywood, I hear their truck start up. No biggie I think. They're just backing into the driveway so we can load this. I get part way done and look around, and all 3 guys are nowhere to be found. I get a call 10 minutes later from one of the movers, and he says, "My boss says we can't do this. It won't fit on the truck". I specifically asked for a truck big enough that it would fit, and talked to each person before the move, to make sure it would work.
So here I am, with the roof partially off and torn apart, with no moving crew and no truck. I call the office, and get told that it won't fit on the truck and that they would not do the move. It was the only weekend I had to get the shed out or I lost it. Extremely frustrated and near breaking down. I called U-Haul and rented a truck and trailer for 4:30 that day. I called my wife and she called a friend, and we moved the thing ourselves. I am extremely disappointed with the work crews ethic when the going got a little hard, and the lack of courtesy I got showed. They left so fast, one of the guys left his full energy drink. If any of you at All My Sons are reading this, I want you to know, 2 women and I moved what you said was too hard. I guess in the end it worked out better. It would have been over $500 to have All My Sons move it, but the U-Haul truck and trailer only cost $75.

Not only was the estimate thousands of dollars off but they only offered a 26' truck for 5 rooms of furniture plus two additional bedrooms. Couches were torn, legs broken off. To add insult to injury, we had to rent a U-Haul for the appliances.

I had to move out of my apartment for a month while ownership changed hands. I Googled movers and their name came up first so I gave them a call. The gentleman on the phone stated it would be $89 for the Massachusetts rate. Also stated there would be charges for travel and fuel. I was given no price quotes for them. Brad calls the next day to find out how much stuff I have. He then told me I was quoted the Rhode Island rate and the Massachusetts rate was $109. Still no price on travel or fuel. The 2 movers come in and move me fairly quickly to a storage unit. Then one of the movers called and said it would be $375. I was quite angry. I called this morning and spoke to the other gentleman. I had put a $50 deposit down so I thought that would come off the $375... No he said the bill came to a total of $425. I wish I saw this site first. I am going to see what I can do to get some of my money back, at least the deposit. These guys are snakes. Do not use them. I wish I could give no stars because they do not deserve any.

Would not recommend the company. Furniture was damaged and broken. Worker stole medication. Was overcharged and promised refund in which I had to follow through with over 3 weeks later. One year later still not settled claim for damages. Was told by one on the team that one mover had been accused of stealing already. Furniture was turned on side and slid across house without a mat on bare hardwood and then broke entire corner off and never said anything. Had to purchase new one. Definitely would not recommend or use the company for anything.

This was the first time that we ever paid a moving company by the hour. It will be the last time too. How fast do you suppose they would move if they had to move more than one family in a day? Then consider how fast they would move if they were paid the same hourly rate, whether it was to move 1 or 10 families... Yep. They started the clock as soon as they pulled in the drive. So we paid three guys to wander around and assess the items to be moved. That took 30 minutes right there. All we were having them move was the heavy furniture, no boxes. 1500 sq ft house. We were moving 5 blocks away. Guess how long it took? We were charged for 4 1/2 hours - $628.
One hour before Ezekiel determined that they had one hour of work left, he proceeded to stop working and started processing our payment. The other two stood around, so I said "So I have you guys until 11:30, right?" I even named the time that I was paid up to. They said yes, so I put them to work moving the bedroom furniture and putting the table back together. When I turned around, they were pulling out of the driveway. At 11:10. I really, really feel cheated. Don't even call them. I certainly won't ever again.

We were moving across town and ended help so we decided to get a moving company. Found All My Sons online and thought they had a reasonable rate. Said it would be around $300 to move us. We had a row bedroom apartment so it shouldn't take long. Well they showed up almost two hours late. We asked if they could pack a few remaining items for us. We had plenty of boxes and tape so no need to use their own stuff. I head to the new house while my husband stays behind. About six hours later they are finally headed to the new house. Why were they so slow? Almost everything was packed.
Well after they started unloading they stopped and we had to pay them right away. They charged us triple what we were told up front. Over $900 to move us 20 mins away. They even charged us for boxes because they said they ran out of ours, which they hadn't. I found 10' unused boxes and three rolls of tape. After they were paid this ridiculous amount they informed us that our entertainment center was broken. We later found several more things were broken like glasses that they left shattered in the floor of our apartment. They just threw stuff in boxes and didn't seem to care if things were broken or not. So I would not recommend this company to anyone. Should have done more research before we decided on them.

Made arrangement for payment. Brad told me he would confirm taking out money from my account, but left message and took out money. Also damage and bonding is scam. They make you sign by the pound.

Was asked for deposit over the phone by a very pleasant, well rehearsed man. He stated only that it would be applied to my final balance. Quote was cheapest I heard so I obliged. Only to find out 20 min later that the move date I had given was impossible and I would need to be out of state on family issues and not sure when I would be back. When I called back to ask about deposit I was told by a woman that all customers are told the deposit is non- refundable. This was a complete lie and when I told her that was not true, "the gentleman I spoke to did not tell me anything like that," she screamed at me and said, "the decision was on a case by case basis depending on the situation." I told her the circumstances and that I had just spoken to the male rep 20 minutes ago. She became agitated and told me my card hadn't even been ran and for me to get someone else since I was so adamant about my deposit. She then hung up in face.
I called back and she picked up again. I asked for a manager and she said "you know what! I AM the manager!!" I then stated to her "that's why you all don't have any business and why there are over 200 complaints against your company." She then screamed " OH REALLY IS THAT RIGHT?!" I then hung up on her and called 2 Men and a Truck. When I told the sweet receptionist what had happened she said they hear these stories about them all the time. How in the world are they staying in business?!

Contacted All My Sons. Told them I wanted a "Full Pack" move. They said that would be no problem and that they would bring plenty of boxes. Move was confirmed two days before and again I told them I wanted everything packed by them. They again confirmed. Three men arrived on time at 9:00 AM. They walked around the 3 BR Apt. and then stated they were not told the move involved any packing. Two of them left for more boxes and a third stayed to start packing. I called the office and was told that I did not specify packing. The two men arrived back an hour and a half later and started packing. I fed them lunch. They did not even have tools to take the beds apart. Finally at 10 PM the truck was loaded. While unloading, about 11:30 PM, I was told that if I didn't supply more money to the movers, they would leave and I would have to pay extra to get them back the next day.

I agreed. The following day I received a phone call from the local office. They told me I would have to pay overtime. I asked why and told them we had a deal and a contract. They used attitude with me and I hung up. I called the 866 number again and asked specifically about overtime and was told in my city and state there is NO overtime. So I ask, "who is lying?" Warning: Do Not Do Business With All My Sons Moving Co. I booked a local move with All My Sons Moving Co., Bloomington, MN. They told me that they would show up for the move between noon and 3 pm. I called their offices around 1:30pm for an update on when they would show up. Excuses Excuses Excuses...The move they were doing was taking longer than expected, they didn't know when the movers would get to my house...and the best excuse of all...I'll call you back in 5 minutes. Ha! Never Happened! The movers showed up at my house at 6:00 pm. They told me they weren't allowed to work past 7:00 pm but a crew would be at my house the next day at 9:00 am.
The next day at 9:05 am when no movers were at my house, I again called their office. The person who I spoke with said there was no record that a 9:00 move was scheduled, that they didn't have any rule that movers couldn't work past 7:00 pm. and that they would be there around 3:00 pm to move my stuff. At that point, I found another moving company and luckily that worked out great. Wichita facility workers packed my PODS so poorly that multiple items were scratched, broken or left with tape stuck to them. After taking pictures, documenting damage, finding bills of sales and filing the claim, the claim offer made no reference to any of the items. The company described the limit of $0.60/lb/item. My items or the total were never weighed. Damaged items were left untouched waiting for a reply from claims, and this took 2 months. The claim offered would not have replaced or paid for a furniture craftsman to repair the damage, and the functioning of the washer needs to be evaluated by a professional repairman and observed for a few months to determine the condition of the bearings.
Phone calls to customer service have been frustrating due to rude consultants and their efforts to protect the local company. One consultant would not even transfer me to the local office because I had already spoken to someone there that day. The local owners have been rude and of no help, even after seeing pictures of the way their employees packed the PODS. The furniture was thrown on top of one another, most without protection; some stacked on boxes that collapsed due to the weight. Outrageous is the only way I can describe both the local service and the claims customer service.

Under very difficult health circumstances, The ** contracted with All My Sons (AMS) to move their belongings from Hilton Head, SC to Dublin, OH where they are originally from and where two of their three sons still reside. The move began in July of 2012 and was scheduled for delivery to an agreed upon, and paid for, climate-controlled storage unit at Uncle Bob's Storage in Dublin, OH.
However, upon delivery, the belongings were unloaded into a non-climate-controlled unit and the ** were told they were not supposed to open this unit until they were ready to move the furniture in to the new home they were building at the time. The reason given is that this would break the seal of the unit and would thereby open the unit up to environmental elements which may damage their belongings. Keep in mind AMS never actually delivered the furniture to a climate-controlled unit. So, Summer, Fall, Spring and Summer weather again took its toll on the belongings causing cracking of their player piano's finish, warping of the piano's wood, molding of rugs and couches upholstery as well as other pieces including wood tables, art pieces and decorative items.
Even more apparent was the reckless and intentional mishandling of their possessions. In the weakened condition of Mr. ** (who has since passed only a month after the move in date in Dublin, OH), Mrs. ** was left in charge of controlling the men who laughed as they put holes in walls of the home they were leaving, carelessly tossed chairs and tables into their moving van. There was zero supervision from a managerial perspective in South Carolina, and when asked how the damage she witnessed would be resolved, she was assured AMS would take care of the portion they are responsible for (all of it).
The most obvious and unfortunate part of their situation is that Mr. ** health was diagnosed as failure to thrive. The OSU Ross Heart Hospital gave instructions to make him as comfortable as possible as they could not help him further. This is obviously a difficult time in any family's lives. It appeared at first that the Dublin branch of AMS understood this, took charge of moving the ** possessions from the non-climate-controlled unit to their new home.
In fact, while we helped unload and direct where certain pieces went, the Dublin AMS employees voiced their opinions on how badly the Hilton Head/Bluffton branch had treated the ** possessions and agreed something must be done to compensate the family. It was agreed upon that they would return to the ** home to help document the pieces broken and destroyed during the move and AMS Corporate would be notified and this gross misconduct carried out by the Hilton Head/Bluffton branch would be rectified.
The delivery of the ** furniture occurred in August of 2013 and Mrs. ** lost her husband in September of 2013 one month later. Soon after, her youngest was diagnosed with brain cancer and is now recovering at her home from brain surgery. Even during this erratic time period, the Family managed to keep contact with AMS. Unfortunately, there has been no attempt to contact Mrs. ** from the Dublin Branch of AMS as was promised, and they now refuse to take responsibility for what has transpired. The Hilton Head/Bluffton Branch will not even take their calls and corporate simply points fingers at each of their franchise chapters.
The ** goal is not so much to recover their losses, though that would be ideal, but instead they intend to make sure this business is truly exposed for what they are. A simple internet search to review this business will reveal countless horror stories ranging from employees working contracts while on drugs (Admittedly fired by their manager in a BBB review) to employees laughing while they toss chairs into semi-trucks as they rattle around and lose legs (Witnessed first-hand).
This submission is being entered primarily out of concern for our community. This company these people, are consistently getting around these horrific customer service stories with no impact to their business because they know nobody can afford the time or money to take on a mid to major company on their own. They know and understand that if they just wait it out long enough, people will forget. The exception to this rule of thumb is when that family loses their father and had their mother disrespected in the process. Then you awake feelings which evoke pride and community instincts.
The Family feels it is their civic duty to make sure as many people as possible know how this company does business. They lost thousands of dollars in broken and lost possessions, but financially will be okay in the end. Its the blatant disregard in doing what's right in this situation and countless others which must be publicly addressed.
Please see on Consumer Affairs a fraction of the wrong doing All My Sons has done despite their mission statement which states "We appreciate our customers. Our movers offer a dedication to quality that is unbeatable." Some of these reviews go on for pages and pages.

One of the movers became upset because the owner of the furniture didn't assist with moving furniture from the truck to the new residence. The movers were sloppy moving furniture into the new residence. When I called the office while the move was going on to complain about observing furniture being scratched, I received the runaround. In November 2013, All My Sons (Little Rock) came to move my household items 3.75 miles to my new house. The charge for this service was $1,628.42. During the move my dresser mirror was broken, my formal living room coffee table was gouged, and my newly finished hardwood floors were scratched. I have uploaded pictures of the damages so that you can see for yourself.
I took pictures as directed by the company for a claim submission. After waiting a few weeks I finally received my letter stating they are going to offer me a mere $.60 a pound for the damaged items. How they arrive at this formula for the damage is beyond me! They further stated that they cannot give me any more because of the valuation section of the Bill of Lading that I signed during a hurried move.
Let me explain this valuation section that I was given to sign before the move could begin. The actual explanation of the valuation section was buried in the text and the text itself was very small. What I did not realize was at the time it was my death warrant; it limited All My Sons to only have to pay $.60 per pound for the damages incurred. This horrible company used this against me when I pointed out the damage that was done during the move. I was told by the company representative that I should have read it carefully before signing as I limited the amount of the offer by signing the document. I told her that this may be legal but it's very unethical as no one would knowingly sign away the value of their property.
The offer for my damaged floor, coffee table, and broken mirror was a measly $167, which I haven't collected as yet because signing the document to receive the money would mean that as stated by All My Sons "I will not thereafter publish or otherwise make to any person or entity verbally or in writing, any negative or derogatory remarks about AMS or its employees."
This is my experience that I'm sharing with you... This company is a horrible company. Use All My Sons at your peril! My next step is to notify the BBB in Little Rock. If this forfeits the $167 I'm prepared to pay the price to expose this sham of a company.

We got an estimate from a nice gentleman who assured us we would be treated like Family. In fact, they end every phone call with, "Welcome to the family". They showed up on time and did an orderly job of loading our household goods. They only broke a few things while loading and told us of these incidents when they happened. They did not promise to do anything about it however. We were moving from Lexington, SC to Flowery Branch, GA. They originally said when they arrived that they would be loaded in about four hours. About seven hours later they finished and left. We were to meet them at the new house the next morning. When they arrived at about 10:00 AM, we walked them through the house and they said it would only take about two hours to unload. They ended up leaving at about 9:00 PM. They had not finished putting items where they were to go and could not wait to be gone. They had two less movers on the destination end than they had at the origination.
At about 6:00 they started bickering among themselves. It was obvious they were tired and it was cold out. As they unloaded and put our dining room table and sideboards together they began to put boxes of other dining room items on the unprotected surface of our dining table and sideboard. They brought in one of our TVs that was crushed. The next day I sent pictures to them of the damage and got no response. After several days I inquired why I had not heard from them and was told they were waiting for pictures. I told them I had sent the pictures and then sent them again. To date, I have not heard from them. The crew leader greatly underestimated the time necessary for loading and unloading. He lost control of the crew at the destination as the day got longer. We fed them at both ends and they commented on how well we treated them and that it was unusual for customers to be that nice. I would never use these people again.

This company in my opinion is terrible! Unprofessional & deceiving to say the least. They were 1&1/2 hours late starting off. Sent 1 young lady (her second day), 1 young man who was said he was a driver and never packed a box before and 1 senior mover to pack and load a 3 bedroom, 3 bath, living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, laundry room detached garage full of storage and another attached garage. The company allotted 3-5 hours for all this in their quote. When it was all said and done, they were at the house 8 hours and not a single complete room was packed or loaded! And the couple already had the cribs and dining room table torn down for them when they arrived!
The owner raised the price on the phone when the movers called him from the job by hundreds of dollars and they left the home in a disaster with the job unfinished! The owners are a young couple in the military with 2 small children and 1 on the way and must leave for their new location in two days. This has been a nightmare for this young couple!!!! This company took advantage of their situation! Everything changed from the minute of their arrival at the home! Price, time needed for the pack, number of packers needed, amount of supplies needed and size of needed truck! The owners had numerous conversations with the owner before arrival clearly stating the size of the home and amount of packing needed. This company never did a walk through only an over the phone price and then said if they had seen it, they would have doubled the time, size of truck and amount of men. Even still they should honor their quote and get the job done!!! Not double the cost, charge them and leave unfinished with their home a mess!
You should see the house! What on earth they did in 8 hours is beyond me! This poor girl was back and forth multiple times with the owner of the company throughout the day and in tears! She has gotten no sleep and has been in pain with her pregnancy. She does not need this stress!! This has ended up costing them thousands of dollars, Way over budget! Unhealthy stress, physical exhaustion, and they still aren't packed, loaded and ready to go and have no idea how they are going to do it! I will NEVER recommend All My Sons Moving (!) and will tell everyone through Angie's List, the BBB, Facebook and the news media this story. A Heartless Company! In my opinion.

Well let's start with the GM of the Little Rock office, nasty man! I had to relocate from Little Rock to Bentonville, AR. I called 4 companies for bids and All My Sons was the 2nd highest bid so I booked my move with another company that was local in Little Rock, AR. I received a call from the GM Aaron ** about using All My Sons Moving. After several minutes (45) of conversation Mr ** gave me a total move expense of $2800.00 which was 300.00 more than the other company but convinced me they were the better company due to the size and locations they have. All My Sons are based out of Dallas, TX so I thought since I'm from Dallas and they are this HUGE company I would be taken care of.
The company I went to work for in Bentonville, AR was paying for $2000.00 of my move I had no problem paying a little more out of my pocket due to the company being so big. The GM (Mr **) and I discussed how the payment would be handled, $100.00 deposit to secure the move, $800.00 cash from me and $2000.00 from my company upon delivery of my furniture to a storage unit in Bentonville.
After I was all packed and loaded on Sunday the 28th of December they were to deliver my furniture on Monday the 29th of December which was the next day. I received a call from Mr ** at 7:05 a.m Monday morning stating "I am not bringing your things until I am paid if full by credit card NOW". I was shocked, I said to him "Mr ** we discussed how the fee was going to be paid today upon delivery and I am on my first day at my new job, I have meetings from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and as soon as I get the invoice emailed to me my company will cut the check for the 2000.00." Aaron **'s response was "I don't give a ** what we talked about I want ALL my money upfront or I will keep your things, put it in storage and charge you a storage fee until you pay me."
After 15 minutes of back and forth and my blood pressure rising I told him that I would have to go to my meetings and then call my boss and HR to see if they will cut me a check without an invoice to prove the amount of the move. I then ask him to just send me an invoice and I will give it to accounting to get my money for him. His response was " I'm noting sending you a ** thing, give me my money!" Also "Scott I'm a hard man and I'm in charge of this now since I have your things on my truck in Little Rock." I was in awe about this, so after I get through all my meetings I finally got in touch with the accounting office and they just cut me a check by 3 p.m. to put in my back account to have All My Sons debit that payment.
My things got delivered a day late and made me look very bad in front of my new employer. After all the cussing I received by Aaron ** for an entire day I got my things. I called the home office and the staff was like "well I'm sorry that you're not happy, I will get you with the person in charge of ALL our offices and get this taken care of." I was transferred 5 times to tell the same story. By the time I was done trying to find the person in charge the movers were done unloading. This was 2 hours that I was on the phone with All My Sons corporate office! Unreal... NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY.

Where to begin? Well, first my wife tried to call to move the time to later in afternoon due to a hangup in our closing, they said they were coming at 3pm. 30 mins later I get a call saying they were on the way. They had mistaken my wife for a different customer. Okay, no big deal. We ask ahead of time if we have to supervise the movers the whole time. They say, no, just mark boxes with room you want them left in. Okay, great.
So they begin loading the house up, we go to our closing. We meet them at the new house a few hours later, they start unloading the furniture. We tell them we have to leave, but give them cell numbers if they need anything or have any questions. No problem. They mention they were unable to fit the dining room table, but we say we can get it.
We leave and meet up at the old house a few hours later. Not only is the dining room table still there, but so is half the house, boxes, furniture, etc. We spend hours packing up about half of it and head to the new house st it is late. We get to the house and find a disaster. Fragile boxes stacked under heavy boxes. All boxes left in the same room downstairs, none put where they were clearly marked. Furniture scattered about, cushions on floor.
So I calm myself and go to put my 2-year-old and 8-month-old sons to bed. NOPE!! My son's bed is broken, put together with half the screws and completely unsafe to sleep in as the top bunk could have fallen at any moment. Go to my other son's room and the crib is barely kept together, can't put him in that either, screws missing, wood broken off.
So the next day I am at work and my wife calls.... 60-inch, 3D, PLASMA TV, $2000 RETAIL, SCREEN SHATTERED AND WILL NOT TURN ON!!!! I call, email, send pictures to the GM. He does his best to help, while refusing to admit any wrongdoing on his company's part and even putting some of the blame on my wife and I. "We should have supervised, We weren't ready when they came", etc, etc.
That was Oct 25th. A handyman comes out and fixes the beds and while not perfect, I was too tired to fight about it. But the TV has to go through insurance and the GM, Darin, refuses to refund any money to me from move. Call insurance and they send a packet out. Everything in packet has to be filled out perfectly and notarized and sent back, which we did on Nov 1. Also speak to Ashley at corporate who agrees to refund $287 of our 1500 dollars.
So fast forward to end of November. No $287, no TV money. Email Ashley a few times. "Money has be refunded" Um, no it hasn't. So she checks, "Oh, no we're sorry, we'll have them do it." Finally on Dec 5th, over 5 weeks later, the $287 is refunded. Now it's Dec 10th, still no TV money. The insurance offer package was supposedly mailed on Dec 4th, but "ice storms" have held it up. Of course, they won't tell me verbally what the offer is.... If you hire this company, you should have your head examined. You're better off hiring someone to throw a grenade in your house.

I am on 'hold' as we speak with We Care Claims Management (no answer yet) almost 2 months after they signed for my Claim (10/15/13). To date, still no response, no contact, etc. On 9/5/2013, I moved one hour south from Clearwater, FL to Sarasota, FL. I used All My Sons Moving & Storage because they offered monthly storage as well. My intention with to take a short-term, furnished rental to get acclimated to a new area before taking an annual rental. I knew the extra stop would be an added expense, & that I would pay a trip charge for them to come up to me in Clearwater, but the one-stop shop aspect (move & store) was enough to make me agree.
We went over pricing for not only the move, but also the storage costs. And as a 60 yr old woman, alone, I had no one to advise me since I was new to the area. Anyway, the day of the move I had told them that there were certain items I couldn't handle on my own (I had done all the packing otherwise), i.e., dismantling my King box spring & frame; packing an expensive piece of artwork that was large & still on the wall; breaking down my trundle bed (I didn't have the proper tools), etc. They said - NO PROBLEM - we'll do whatever you can't.
While they were in route to my apt, I received a call from All My Sons M&S. She told me that she didn't think the person who quoted me was as accurate as he could have been regarding storage with them (apparently he was new). She proceeded to tell me the 'actual' cost to me to store and I was floored. Just when I felt I was getting into a bad situation, she suggested using Two Rivers Storage in Bradenton, FL. Said they were very reasonable and that it would be a stop on the road to Sarasota. I hung up and called them immediately. They quoted me a fair price & I said I would stop there on the way to handle the paperwork.
When the two movers arrived, I informed them about the change of plans regarding moving. They were shocked and said they didn't bring anything in terms of packaging to protect my items in storage as they thought I was storing with them. If I got the call regarding the change of plans, why weren't they equipped to handle this possible scenario? They only brought company-owned blankets, so had nothing to protect my items. When they began packing the truck, I pointed out the items I couldn't lift (king bed, artwork & TVs, etc.). I told them once the artwork was off the wall, I would bubble wrap it for transport. I also told them that I didn't have the tools to break down the day bed. Since they had no packing materials for storage, I gave them all the king sheets, throws, blankets, rugs I had to try to protect the most delicate items. (That's real professional to not be prepared at all). I also offered the 3 rolls of packing tape I had with the tape gun, but they said - 'no problem - we have it. Little did I know that I would be CHARGED for tape on my recpt!
After a couple of hours, I offered to go get them some lunch, ASSUMING I could trust them with my things. By the time I returned, they were locking up the truck and were ready to go. I put all the food into insulated bags and off we went to Two Rivers Storage. Of course, I had to pay for the time the truck sat outside idling while I opened my account and got my keys (all of which could have been avoided had I received that dreaded call prior to the morning of the move).
When they began moving my things into the storage unit, I walked up to the truck and saw that my wood, pedestal-based dining set was STANDING UP in the truck (who doesn't put a table-top DOWN to get the best leverage?). I noticed it started to lean and saw the split in the wooden leg, which separated it from the feet, screws were stripped & I knew then and there I'd probably lost my table. I asked, "So what happens with this?" They said, “Well, when we get back to the shop, we'll tell them what happened & someone will call you regarding starting a claim."
Dumb ME - I believed them. The next item I noticed was my trundle bed, all in one piece, they never broke down the frame. The frame was metal, but an airy pattern so it wasn't a solid piece either on the back or side frames (there were openings). I said, "Ah, why didn't you break down the trundle?" Their response, “Much easier to move this way.” Little did I know that they would store it in the back, on its side, with no protection underneath from the concrete floor, and put items on TOP of the side frame!
I could go on and on. At that point, I needed to leave because we were almost 30 min from the destination (my short-term rental) & my car was loaded with perishable items on an 85+ degree day. I left them there to finish storing the truck & they were to meet me at the rental with my remaining personal and office items I would need between Sept-Dec. At the end of the day, they were with me from 10:00 am through 6:30 pm and my bill for a one-hour trip south totaled $1165.32.
I had a trip planned to Key West to visit family within two days of the move, so I figured I would deal with the claim when I returned on 9/26/2013. Since I hadn't heard from them regarding same, I called the office upon my return & asked why I hadn't heard about the claim. They said, 'What claim?' That's when I knew that the two movers had played me and not reported the damages. I then had to go to the storage & take photos of the damaged goods (yeah, that was convenient). At the time I took several pics to show them the poor stacking job (amateurs could have done better) & that I would reserve add'l claims until I got to see the condition of the some of the poorly packed items.
They sent me claim paperwork, which I promptly filled out and sent via certified mail to We Care Claims Management, Inc. in Carrollton, TX. I received a recpt of delivery on 10/15/2013, but as of today had not heard a peep. Finally spoke with a representative during this complaint and they are trying to work this out at some point today.

First let me say that the guys who did the move were courteous and professional. To begin with, I called and received a quote of 3 min hours 3 guys and $119/hr. I gave a deposit of $119.00 and scheduled the movers for Saturday afternoon 2pm. The movers had a previous move before arriving and was delayed and arrived at 530pm. After looking at what needed to be moved (a 1-bedroom house) the head mover said this will be more than a 3-hr move and offered to move and could make it happen with an additional guy at $20.00 extra. I agreed as long as it is 3 hours @ (2 movers) $119 which would bring it to $159.00 (4 movers x times 3.5 hours).
It was raining and the head mover recommended to reschedule and could start 830am Monday morning. I agreed as long as it does not go over 3.5 hours. The movers arrive and began professionally packing... After they reached the drop off destination which was 15 minutes away. There was a bill for $159.00/hr for 4 movers and the moving time was was 4.5 hours and a 1 hour trip charge. Needless to say my husband hit the ceiling and refused to pay the extra and said will pay what originally was discussed. A trip charge equal to the hourly rate was added to the quote amount for 3 movers min 3 hrs.
I spoke with the Supervisor. He almost became argumentative but decided to back down... I informed him that the rates were not clear, they were not broken down. My budget was one thing and the reality of the move was another and I requested to waive the additional charge. And of course he did not agree. If they were not able to do this move in 3.5 hours, then they should have said that instead of recommending that a 4th can ensure that it can be done in 3.5 hrs. They also, did not explain the trip charge rate and the fact it will be added to the quote amount and included in the total hours which increased the total hours to 4.5 hours @ the hourly rate i.e. $139/hr ($119 for 2 movers 20.00 each extra mover) x 4.5 hours not 3.5 hours and then attached an additional trip charge of $159.00. These people were not clear in the beginning. They did not clearly explain particulars even when asked. I would not recommend This company at all...

I made arrangements to move my mother from her apartment in Ohio to my home in Georgia. I was assured that the load date would be on a certain Thursday or Friday. Because of my coming in from Georgia and the need of getting back to Georgia, it was necessary to have those dates as pickup dates. I made numerous phone calls and emails trying to find the exact day of loading. 3 different times I was told someone would call me by the end of the day...but unfortunately that never happened. All I wanted to know was the exact day of pickup so we could make proper plans.
Finally on the Wednesday before the agreed upon Thursday pickup date, I still had not heard an exact date or time. Was a truck coming the next day or not? So I had to make calls trying to track down someone to answer that basic question. Finally, someone called me back and told me the pickup would be on the following Saturday instead. I'm not sure what happened to the original agreement that was made, the one I signed along with the estimate. Because of the need to return to Georgia for my job, changing the day to Saturday was already causing an inconvenience. That was the whole purpose of making the agreement in the first place so I could make proper plans.
So I had no choice but to accept that date, and was told the truck would be at the apartment between 8 am and 12 noon. I thought that was a very large window to have to wait. I mean, if I wasn't scheduled to be first to be loaded on that Saturday, then why would I have to be waiting at 8 am? Anyway, I once again, had no choice but to agree to what I was being told. So, on Saturday morning, I went to the apartment and sat at the front door at 8 am to wait for the truck. 4 hours later, there was still no truck. So, once again, I had to take the initiative to make contact with the company to find out where the truck was.
Can you imagine my surprise to find out that there was no truck coming? I was told the truck was there on Friday and they were unable to contact me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I told them that their dispatcher had called me on Wednesday and scheduled the pickup for Saturday. He said again that they tried to call me but couldn't get through to me. I asked him what number he was trying to call, and of course, he didn't know that answer (I suspected that). I told him that it's strange that others have been able to call me including the dispatcher on Wednesday who called from the exact same number that I was talking to as I was talking to him. I said it would also have been possible to contact the Cincinnati office to get my number since that's where my agreement and contract was through. But I don't think he appreciated me pointing out an obvious customer service point to him.
But there was nothing that could be done. No truck was available any longer to be able to get my things. I asked what was the point of me making arrangements 2 weeks ago if I couldn't be picked up when I was told. But basically he was blaming me for not being able to be reached. I told him before he blamed me any longer, perhaps he better check with the person in his office that placed the call to me on Wednesday, the one who scheduled me on Saturday, and the one who had my phone number.
So, he suggested I find someone in the area to meet the truck on Monday and that would allow me to go home to Georgia. I asked him what I was supposed to do about the deposit. Was I expected to have my friend or relative ready with a bunch of cash to pay the truck driver the deposit? He said, "What deposit?" I couldn't believe that I had to remind HIM that it was necessary for me to give a deposit to the driver before he loaded the truck. He said I could get cash or a cashier's check. It was now Saturday afternoon, and if I was about to go back to Georgia, there would be no way I could get a cashier's check from closed banks, or even find a way to get that much cash out of an ATM. I would have to wait until Monday morning to do that anyway. That, of course, didn't concern him.
So, anyway, that left no choice, but for my wife and me to stay through Monday and leave Tuesday for Georgia. We both have jobs that we need to get back to, so I feel that it was totally unacceptable for us to sacrifice our job relationships because of their company not being able to keep their commitment. So I WAS able to make arrangements for someone to be there but she had small children who would be coming home from school, so the timing had to be right. I should have known better. But we still didn't know what time on Monday the truck would be coming. They would call me on Monday morning to let me know. Isn't anyone in that company organized? I made sure they had my phone number again just in case I would receive blame on Monday again.
Monday came and the time was decided on and of course, they were more than 2 hours late from when they said. So much for this lady being able to get her children from school. So she needed to make those arrangements, which inconvenienced someone else. It turns out the driver could not find the address of where to pick up the furniture. He couldn't find it in his GPS. Well, he had the wrong city. He was trying to find our address in another city and it wasn't coming up. So, he was delayed because of that. He had the wrong city and zip code. Where did he get that information? I don't know anything about that city or zip code. Isn't anyone in that company organized?
When the truck finally arrived, we had another problem. The driver showed up with a much higher estimate than what we originally had agreed upon. How could he as a driver have a higher estimate from someone who was actually at the apartment looking at things? While that's not really a big deal since it's just an estimate, it DID affect the amount of the deposit that the driver needed to accept. The lady helping me had only so much cash which was based on the original estimate. So he needed to receive a higher deposit. We are now bordering on unethical practices. He called his supervisor in Florida to try to work it out. To the driver's credit he decided to begin to load while waiting for his supervisor to call back. 2 hours later, the supervisor still had not called back. So the driver continued trying to reach his supervisor as to what to do. At around 6:00 they finished loading the truck but still had no answer (Again, so much for this lady being able to get her kids and get dinner for her family).
At around 6:30, I called the driver from Georgia and demanded that he resolve this and allow the lady to go home. I offered to pay by credit card over the phone or whatever he needed. I also explained to him that I had a copy of the quote that I signed that said I only owed so much and it was unethical to demand more at this point. He apologized and said he had just gotten a hold of his supervisor. He told me his supervisor had forgotten about him. Of course. Once again, the customer was not a priority. Isn't anyone in that company organized?
But he said the supervisor told him to go ahead and accept the originally agreed upon money. Thank you, Mr. Supervisor. That could have very easily been resolved hours earlier. Can you imagine what would have happened if the driver hadn't decided to start loading the furniture and would have waited for his supervisor to call him back? The supervisor had forgotten about him, which means the supervisor had forgotten about a paying customer. How sad.
I believe there is a definite breakdown in that company in regards to proper customer service. I worked in the customer service field for many years. One thing I learned is that you never tell a customer that you can't do something. Instead you try to explain the situation and let them know what you CAN do to help the need. But I received many can'ts along the way. I also even received the blame in one case because I couldn't be reached. But even now as I look back on that situation and compare it to what the driver told me about having the wrong town in the first place, it makes me wonder what they were talking about when they said they tried to pick up my stuff on Friday but couldn't get a hold of me... How strange.
Finally 2 weeks later, the furniture arrived in Georgia. They traveled from Ohio to Florida and reloaded my things in another truck and eventually brought it back to me in Georgia. Too bad they couldn't have dropped my stuff off when they were traveling through Georgia to get to Florida in the first place. But I guess I don't understand true organization. When the driver presented me with the paperwork to sign before he unloaded the truck, he had no proof of the cost. He had no information as to what the weight of my furniture was. Since the move is based on the weight of my items, shouldn't that be provided as a proof of cost? But he had nothing. All he had was a blank sheet, not filled in that I was to sign. I said I wasn't signing anything because it's blank. Any amount could be filled in after I signed, and I wanted to see proof of the weight. He didn't have that, but he quickly filled in a couple of lines on this blank form to show what I was to pay. This nightmare had gone on long enough. I signed so we could get the truck unloaded and I could have All My Sons out of my life.
I understand that things can happen. Situations can take place that are not a part of the plans. That is actually a normal thing to expect in life. But this obviously was a pattern of things that took place from the beginning. Other potential customers need to know. I had previously had a very positive experience with All My Sons in an earlier move. At that time, everything was handled properly communication, commitment, helpfulness, timing everything. So I had no doubts or concerns in using them again in this move. It's a shame that my attitude toward All My Sons has changed. I feel that this company has done my family wrong. The communication was very poor. The commitment to what they said they would do was even worse.
I, as a paying customer, was not treated properly. I'm afraid the money that I paid for this move was NOT a good investment. I will tell anyone who listens to avoid this company. You don't know what you will get. In a move such as this, your only desire is to have things done in a proper and organized manner, treating you with respect concerning your time and belongings. Too bad you can't be assured of that happening.

I interviewed several moving companies. Being on a very strict budget, I was drawn by the quote they gave me. Of course they were very nice and said all their moving employees had been with the company for at least 10 years, and drug tested, back ground checked. They used protective cloth for floors and furniture. They had experience in antiques and organs and pianos, grandfather clocks, and were trained how to move everything. They even went so far as to tell me they were required to take training classes to keep them up to date on the latest electronic equipment.
I was very specific on each and every item that I had, including an antique pump organ, grandfather clock, china cabinet, and several other items that were very valuable. My entire move included 2 bedrooms, one of which had a bed and 2 chairs, small book shelf, the other a bed, two end tables, dresser with mirror, and hutch. I also had dining room table, hutch, china cabinet, clock, organ, and 4 rugs. Washer and dryer. I wanted to move my pictures myself, and had already moved all my packed boxes. One small fridge in the garage.
I figured 3 hours max. I did it on the weekday and was quoted a price of 109.00 per hour. 3 men. They arrived at 7 am. One small, medium, and large. Took them one hour to walk around the house, telling me they were unaware of the organ, clock, and that this was an all day job. They were quickly on the phone with the office asking for another man, which would make it 149.00 per hour. I said NO, then after one hour and 45 min, they got started slowly, one mover quickly planted himself in the bathroom for 30 min, the other started wrapping my furniture in tape blankets, even pillows!!! The other smoked cigs and talked on the phone. By nine, nothing had been loaded.
I left to go to the other home 2 minutes down the road to meet the AT&T man (big mistake). After being gone for 2 hours, and thinking they would be ready by the time I returned, I got a call from one of the movers requesting a pack of cigs and lunch!!! Said they would pay me when I got there. Shocked, and never having been put in that position, I did it. When I returned home, nothing had been done. A few things on the truck, but beds not taken apart, no furniture had been loaded. They did, however, eat 4 cans of tuna, one box of crackers, cheese, drinks 12 pack, and the one mover still in the potty. Cig butts all over the yard, driveway.
They proceeded to tell me it was already at 1200.00 and were probably looking at over 2000.00 I am a single mom putting myself through school; I fell to the ground crying. They never paid me for lunch or cigs. They started throwing my stuff in the truck. Nine hours later, with me loading the truck as well. They tell me they cannot fit my son’s bed in nor the rest of the furniture. I was breaking out in hives, panic. We finally got to the other house, 2 minutes down the road. They got on the phone and then refused to unload until I gave them my credit card. They refused to tell me how much until I started screaming, threatening to call the police.
They said I signed a contract, yet I signed a form that stated I knew they could not take chemicals, or jewelry; they refused to give me a copy. They finally agreed if they stayed to 9pm, it would be 1895.84. I had no choice, I was a wreck. At 6:30, they said they could not put the beds together as they left the bolts at the other house; I had to get them or no beds. I left, got to the old house, and yep no bolts. Quickly went back to the house to find they had thrown the remainder of my belongings in the garage, and locked and were in their truck leaving. I was screaming, “Give me my things.” They drove off.
I walked in my house to find the beds were not put together, the mirror to the one dresser was not assembled, my grandfather clock was broken weights had fallen and broken the bottom to the clock off, dining room chairs broken, top of organ not assembled, and broken all to pieces, shelves missing from furniture, my phone charger gone, wine was missing, no hardware to be found, clothes thrown in garage, tools missing, washer and dryer not done.
I quickly called my bank, however the charge had already gone through and the next day was Thanksgiving. I had 29.00 to my name. I have never, ever been treated this way. I looked at the paper work they left, which I never signed. They claimed they had 3 trucks, and saw they charged double after 8 hours. This company needs to be charged with fraud extortion. I feel raped. They are day labors, they pick up for a day.
I am going to write to the BBB, call the local news. I called the bank and reported "fraud". I have taken pictures, and the damage they did to my new home, the walls, the toilet, the mess they left at the old home. I had to hire more movers for 4 hours of work to gather the rest of my stuff from my other house. I am so shocked!!! I have read these reviews and it is all the same. Please, please, let’s all go after them!!! They are sick thieves. They may as well be breaking in to people’s homes. Why are they still getting away with this???? I am filling a police report Monday!!!!

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I used to work here. Don't blame the movers for taking too long, because most work 6 days a week doing at least 2 moves a day. Blame Anthony ** and all the wannabe money makers from Florida. First off, never hire someone from Florida because they are all crooks. 2nd, they make you sign an agreement before your move and if you sign this they have the legal right to charge whatever they want when the move is done. Calling the police will do nothing because one: you signed the form and two: it just became a civil matter. They will take you for all the money you have. TRUST ME! These are the same people that would work on Wall Street selling bogus stock to hard working Americans.

I called about two weeks ahead of my move to schedule it with All My Son's out of Indianapolis, IN. I spoke with Amy who, in the beginning, was helpful and promised great service. However, a few days later when I called back to pay my deposit and confirm the move, things changed dramatically.
For starters, I was on hold for 48 minutes and 34 seconds. Needless to say, I was not happy, but it gets worse! When Amy finally did answer, she told me she would have to call me back and never did. In fact, several hours later I had to call her. There was no apology for the long hold, the lack of help for my concern, and the rude way in which she treated me. However, because the move was so close, I paid the deposit and reiterated to her how important it was that the moving crew was prompt because I had to work that day. Amy assured me the movers (three) would be at my house with a 26' box truck between the hours of 8 am and 9 am ready to take care of business. Additionally, Amy promised the movers would call when they were 30 to 45 minutes away to let me know they were on their way.
On the day of the move, NONE of this happened as she described. For starters, I moved all of the beds, the entertainment center, our televisions, and some boxes/clothes over myself the day before since we were only moving 8 miles. I did this expecting the movers to be on time and efficient so I could get to work on time. However, I sat in my driveway... alone at 9:22 a.m. No movers, no call, and I was quite frustrated so I called and asked to speak with Amy. I was told by a male, Carlos, that she worked for him and he asked me if I needed a moving quote. I told him no, explained the fact the movers were late, and asked what was going on. Carlos nonchalantly said they were late last night, had to "reset" for 10 hours due to DOT regulations, and was about 20 minutes from their shop and would be on their way soon.
I advised "Carlos" that this was unacceptable and informed him that I had to be at work soon and they were going to make me late. Carlos rudely informed me he can't control DOT regulations. However, he (and the company) should have contingency plans in place to deal with such issues. Carlos told me he would work with me on the bill to accommodate me for being late to work and would speak with me after the move was complete. Carlos stated he was sending a great crew and, by the time he gave, they should arrive at my house around 11:00 am. At about 10:30 am, I got a call from Amy who stated they were still waiting for the 3rd crew member and he was supposed to be 15 minutes from their shop, which is about 45 minutes from my house. I expressed to Amy how frustrated I was, but she clearly didn't care. Amy stated she could send me two movers for $99 an hour vs the 3 for $119 an hour and if the other mover didn't show up soon she would do that. I told Amy I would rather have the 3 because I needed them to be fast, but Amy insisted on sending the 2. Not wanting to argue with a woman, I told her that would be fine.
About 15 minutes later, Amy called me and said the other mover never showed up and she had just dispatched the 2 movers and they would be calling me any second. Twenty minutes later, I got a call telling me they were 30 minutes from my house. The movers finally arrived about 11:55 am after passing up my house not once, but twice! When they got out of the truck, they introduced themselves and I was skeptical about their ability. However, these two were the only positive thing I can say about this company! Brian and Randall worked their butts off. They loaded the truck in about an hour. They broke one leg off of my sectional, but it can be easily repaired by me so I didn't pursue it. They nearly dropped by washer coming up the stairs out of my basement, but managed to catch it and worked hard throughout the afternoon. The truck was unloaded, with help from me and my three kids, in about an hour and they were on their way, but not before this company's front office staff took advantage of me again.
When Brian called Amy and asked her about my bill and the adjustments, she only credited me the fuel surcharge, about $40. They wasted four hours of my time (1 on hold and 3 waiting on them beyond their promised arrival time) and felt it was worth a lousy $40! Their rate is $119 an hour which would have put them owing me around $480, but they gave me a $40 credit and Amy acted like she was doing me a favor. I didn't argue with the two guys on the truck (Brian and Randall) because it's beyond them to fix, but I will take it up with All My Son's upper management. However, after reading many online reviews of them, I doubt I'll get very far with that either.
At the end of the day, this is a poor company and I would not recommend them to anyone. In fact, if I had one suggestion to them, I would encourage them to change their name from "All My Son's Moving & Storage" to "My Red-Headed Step Child Moving & Storage".

The movers arrived with a truck and a 10-page contract for me to review and sign and REFUSED TO GIVE ME A COPY even after I reviewed the contract. They charged me for the time it took to read the contract they should have provided before the move. I did not initial the fake time on the contract they would have needed to fill in to compute the charge. They charged that hour and time before they arrived as moving time. I was FORCED TO SIGN a contract with blanks for hours before the loading began. I had to move out before the end of the month and on the 29th, it was UNLIKELY I would get another mover. They took my debit card info and security # of the card information so I had to cancel my debit card after the move.
I was charged for more hours than the move took, plus the hour for travel, 20 dollars for supplies and 50 dollars for gas. They REFUSED to give me a copy of the contract. They are CHEATS, LIARS and CON MEN. Please do NOT use them...They get away with it!!! They will NOT REMOVE your furniture from the truck until you sign for DOUBLE PAYMENT of the proper payment for your move!!! BEWARE!! They charged me 900 dollars for moving a one bedroom, one bed ... already packed small apartment to move to an apartment about 3 miles away. CHEATS AND LIARS!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!

I was quoted one price and was charged almost double when they got the new place. They were over an hour late. We also had almost all items in our garage already in boxes. They just had to move 2 mattresses, 1 dresser, 2 TVs, and washer and dryer. Still took them longer than My 13-yr-old and I took to put in the garage. When they got to the new place, they gave me bill and that's when I noticed it was almost double. They also charged me for their truck rental, SINCE THEY DON'T OWN THEIR OWN TRUCK, and charged me for gas. After they left, my husband told me about some damage that was done to a few items and property. They chipped part of our hardwood floor in old place, ruined a tool chest, and our Weber grill won't start. My husband did a claim and left messages for JAY (useless) and we haven't heard back. I also emailed them several times and they haven't responded.
I recently contacted the Better Business Bureau about them and they did reply, but were very rude and condescending, insulting my 13-yr-old daughter and the fact that I didn't say anything about the survey they gave me. Well yes, I did take the survey, but wasn't aware of damage at that point, and the damage I found out later. This company is very unethical and is okay lying and exaggerating facts. I didn't even ask for a reply, just the tool chest and floor to be fixed, replaced. That doesn't seem unreasonable.

Frank quoted us $1200.00 for the cost of our move. When we got to our new house, we agreed to pay. They said it was $2500.00!!!! More than twice what we were quoted! We did not have that amount as my husband is on a liver transplant list and cannot work right now. They closed up the trucks and drove away! I cried! They refused to take a partial payment. I told them my husband’s medications are on the truck and if something happens to him they will be at fault! Frank was extremely rude and condescending. After talking to the corporate office, they brought MOST of our furniture back. They are holding many items as collateral. We gave them $1700.00. We still owe them $800.00 plus delivery fee!!! They are terrible people.

All My Sons Moving and Storage was hired per a bid of May 22, 2012 in the amount of $6,284.73, not to exceed $6,913.20. I tendered a $100.00 deposit at that time. Original schedule to be: PACK - June 30, arriving on premise at 8:00 am, LOAD - July 1, DELIVER - July 3 arriving on premise at 8:00 am. This actually never happened. Prior to their arrival, we found we could not handle as much packing ourselves as originally thought, so we requested a second day of packing ... Someone from the company called and requested the dollar amount be raised to $7,303.12. I agreed to the amount.
Thus they began packing on the 29th. A supervisor called to see if they had arrived that AM and asked me at what time. When I told him 9:06 am, he laughed. Actually they were supposed to be there at 8:00 am. When they began packing, they were told which items they would not pack and which items they would pack. When I went to the kitchen to get a paper cup of coffee, I was unable as I was told a Robert had packed them. I asked this Robert if he would retrieve them for me, super begrudgingly, he did so. Interaction with him from this point on was downhill. During the balance of the day, I missed several items that I was personally to pack and take, only to find that they had already packed them.
That same night, I was to sleep on a mattress on the floor in the Master Bedroom. I had a small TV, a Cox TV station changer, the Cox cable box and a large Victorian Powder table from which they had already removed some of the marble without taking the unit itself. I put my attache case on the right hand side of the unit and reached behind it to retrieve something in the bay window and it fell on my head leaving a 2” gash in my hairline and a swelling on my forehead. As I had already gotten most of the valuable jewelry and papers in my attache case, I had forgotten my diamond watch. When I opened the top left drawer on the powder table, the watch was gone. I had seen it there the night before.
Day two of packing (June 30) arrived, they were 35 minutes late... More of the same occurred, they would pack exactly what I told them not to pack and would not pack what I told them to pack. Early in the day, I found a piece of porcelain Greenware missing and asked Robert if he had seen it or knew what could have happened to it, he knew nothing. So I told him how delicate the stuff was and put it aside where it would not be in their way. I mentioned this to one of the other movers and he told me that this Robert probably did it as he was known for being argumentative and a liar. They had a different supervisor and somewhat different crew every day.
I went back to the studio to check on how things in general were going, only to find that additional boxes were stacked on top of the Greenware that I had put aside and that all was smashed and totally useless. They had boxes piled high in front of a storage cabinet (antique pie safe); however I could see the item on the top shelf. I mentioned this to them and they stated that would be okay, they would get it on loading the furniture and boxes. As they left at 2:30 in the afternoon, I heard one of them call their boss and report that everything was packed and ready to be moved.
Day three (July 1), loading day. They arrived at approximately 8:53 am. A cordial smaller man was their supervisor this day. The first thing he said when he walked in was: “What’s going on, nothing is wrapped, tied or secured or ready to be picked up?” I reiterated to him, that I had been told the previous day by the packers that when the movers arrived, they would automatically have all necessary boxes, plastic zip-lock bags, wrapping saran and ropes to pack or secure anything that was missed and that I was told they always automatically have all this on their truck. He stated that was not the case and promptly called his supervisor. I did not hear this conversation.
While loading they almost dropped the grand piano off a lift on the back of one of the trucks, as it was improperly situated on the dolly to boot. They also were standing on the new GE Washing Machine! I also heard one of the men arguing with his co-workers in a nasty tone of voice that he had already worked 10 hours and was not going to work more than 10 hours and that was that! I had previously drawn their attention to the fact that the piano had unusual Duncan Phyfe curved legs that extend forward from the lower portion of the case and to please be careful. After they loaded and left, everything they were supposed to have packed and moved, except what we were personally taking should have been out of the house, it was not!
I found that the whole wet bar, 30 by 8 or 9, had not even been touched. Several items were missed in the studio. The mattress and Victorian Powder Table were missed in the Master Bedroom. At this point, I noted that the Cox Cable Remote Station Changer was now missing. I called the Gentleman (Micah **) who bid the job for me and told him that status of things. He stated that in all his life, he had never seen such a mess as this move and that it was the Move from Hell! He stated that he would have the men return on the 5th to pack what was missed and to load the truck again and that it would be delivered to the new address on the 6th. I also had problems with a gentleman not understanding how to disassemble an antique Welsh Dresser properly.
Day four (July 3), original 1st delivery day. Some strange man, whom I never heard of prior, was carping for his monies right off the bat. They were not on time and had also gone to the wrong house. My roommate and his brother were assisting me, as I could not be both places at the same time, which obviously the movers neither understood or cared. I told them I would be on my way to the bank as soon as I could, which was within 30 or 40 minutes of their arrival and the new address. They were refusing to deliver or unload anything until they had been paid.
I called Micah, while en route to the bank, telling him of what was going on, he told he would handle it and upon returning to the new house, to give the certified check to the man with the baseball cap. During this same trip I had 2 calls from the movers themselves, was I getting the check, what was taking so long and where to put a few pieces of furniture. I also received a call from my roommate that the movers were giving him guff about moving stuff, where to put it and refusing to put it where he said because they had put it down and that was that and they would not move it again!
When I arrived at the house I tendered the check to the man with the baseball cap, who was supposed to be the supervisor for that day. He promptly left and did not return. The other men were audibly and visibly upset by this arrangement. Upon entering the house, I found the Welsh Dresser in the Family; however one of them had put it back together improperly himself. I found it wobbly, the wood on the backboard (Walnut) split and one of the four ornate upper legs broken, as well as the wrong screws in the wrong places and others totally missing and the addition of a new aluminum Phillips screw instead of the proper single slot brass. They would get me cornered and ask me something while the other guys would go on their own and do something else. This same tactic was used on my roommate and his brother. Items that were supposed to go in the house went in the garage. Items that were to go in the shed went in the garage. While unloading, I caught one of them with a load not only too big for his dolly, but on the dolly crookedly. As he started down the ramp from the truck, both my roommate and I hollered to him to stop, it was going to fall, but he insisted on continuing, so the complete load dolly, man and all fell on the concrete driveway. Three of the 5 boxes of items were almost totaled.
When I would ask them where certain items were, they could not answer me and that all the boxes were marked. Actually they were and are not all marked. They put Silver in the garage. They put food in the garage. They put crystal and other valuables in the garage with other large and heavy items on top of them. When they left, we were unable to close the garage door, as it was packed so tight it was beyond the electric eye safety beam. We had to shift things just to close the garage door. This same day, they delivered the grand piano which now had a damaged leg with a piece missing. When I asked about it, they said the piece was on the truck, they would get it. It was not on the truck. The same man then told me that the previous evening they had unloaded the piano as they needed it at their warehouse (It should have never been unloaded for any reason).
They also delivered cast iron furniture that was supposed to be left with the old house for its new owners. I asked them to put it back on the truck and return it to its previous place. Micah told us, that on Friday the sixth, the men would unload the garage, sort the stuff out and put each piece of furniture or container where it should have gone in the first place.
Day 5, July 5th. The somewhat different crew again arrived. They were not too happy right from the beginning. First they arrived at the wrong house again and called me wanting to know where I was… I had given Micah a key to the old house, as I was going to be unable to be both places at the same time. They were supposed to have arrived at the old house to pack and load what they had missed before, then to deliver on the sixth at the new house. I had picked up moving blankets from U-Haul to wrap a couple of items my roommate, his brother and I were moving ... These had to be returned before 1 pm on the sixth.
The only big pieces of furniture that were to be involved with this day were in the Master Bedroom, the mattress I had been sleeping on and the remnants of the Victorian Powder Table. About 2 pm, my roommate’s brother brought us in a hamburger lunch. We really had not eaten in almost two days. As we began to eat, the movers were fighting physically and verbally with each other on the front porch. We stayed in the house, so as not to be involved. Keep in mind, while all this is going on, my roommate, his brother and I are not only trying to move the stuff we needed to move, but also make sure the premises are left in decent condition for the new owners. When the movers left for the day, I am picking up debris left in the front yard and Leo **, my neighbor across the street, hails me to find out what was going on. Why had the movers and so many trucks been there, why were some of the trucks unmarked and what were they fighting about. I told him as best as I was able. He said that he now had another firm to mark off his list as companies to work with.
Day 6, July 6. Again, they arrived not only late, but at the wrong house. I told them they were supposed to have conversed with Micah. Not only did he have keys, but is supposed to be wherever they needed him as I was already spread too thin. They then again returned to the old house for forgotten items. They did not like this arrangement and there really was not much I could do about it. They still had not brought the cast iron furniture back to the old address and admitted unloading it at the warehouse for some reason or other. I left to return the blankets to U-Haul, and upon returning to the old house, found them to have left again and not called me, that they were waiting at the new house for me. They called while I was on my way and didn’t like the answer that I was in the car on my way and had just recently found out what had happened again.
Micah ** had also shown up at the old house, speaking with my roommate and changing his friendly story about how things were going, that his men upon this delivery would charge us an hourly rate to unpack the garage and correct the damages they had already done. This did not sit too well with me, as I am now seeing different stories told about each item in their company, depending on who tells it and whether or not it may mean their job! Upon my arrival, I found them lolling on and in the trucks and in the front yard. Their loads had been deposited in the gravel in front of the front porch, some of it upside down and some of it broken. They started pushing to get it in the house...
I noticed the Victorian Powder Table had its back towards the street and the front could not be seen from where I was. When I walked around to the front of it, I found the top left-hand drawer handle missing and on second glance, the mirror to it, which had previously fallen on me, had the whole left side of it totally broken off, right thru the middle of the walnut, not at any joint or seam. Robert, at this point, seemed to be in charge, or so he thought ... So I asked him what had happened to the drawer handle (keep in mind, this is the same drawer where the diamond watch is missing, in the same room where the Cox remote was missing and the same piece of furniture fell on me). He said he didn’t know, that it was like that when he got it. I told him that the handle was on there when it left the Master Bedroom of the Old house and when I watched him put it upside down on a dolly and take it out of the house that way. He said he didn't do any such thing and promptly opened the second drawer down and produced the top drawer handle with the screw neatly screwed in it.
I said, “That’s awfully funny, an intact handle could fall out of a top drawer with the screw in it and end up in the second drawer all by itself.” He started screaming and yelling at me and stated, “No Honkey can talk to me like that,” and on and on, other words, that I really didn’t hear not wanting to hear. I turned my back on him and the rest of the men at that point, as Robert was still ranting at me and saying he needed to get in the house. As I entered the house and was shutting the door, I firmly stated: “You are not ever getting in this house again.”
Upon entering the house, I realize I’m in the house by myself, with no backup, no weapon, nothing... and all these movers out in front screaming and yelling at me, I was really afraid for my life! I then called my cousin, Scott **, Atty @ Law. He asked me where my roommate and his brother were. I told him they were not here yet. Scott told me not to waste any time, to call the police, as the men were still out front and on the porch and still screaming and yelling. I dialed 911, a man answered and said this was not an emergency and to call such and such number. I said, “Just a second, let me get a pen and paper,” at which time he said, I repeat, the number is such and such and hung up. I finally found an old phone book in all this mess and called the non-emergency number, and the woman answering, was very nice and said an officer would be out no later than Wednesday and that this was not only vandalism, but larceny. By the time my roommate and his brother arrived on the premises, the movers had gone. Relieved they were gone, I thought at this point this was predominantly an insurance and liable situation, except for some of the stolen items.
To date: 10-4-2013, I am still not unpacked, nor can I fit my small car into my 2-car garage. Pewter, crystal, china, silver, antique lamps, shades, etc all missing, piano, dining room table, secretary, wicker and hundreds of other items either totaled or severely damaged. Heavy boxes of books that I cannot even budge are sitting on top of boxes marked Fragile, Handle with care, this end up, do not drop, etc., are all on bottom... many crushed. What items I have been able to open, 90% were not even full boxes and had very little buffering in them to protect contents, thus contents were ruined. Not only can I not use my garage, I cannot use my back porch or front bedroom or shed. As of last week, I can now stand up in the center portion of my living/dining room.
I understand there are lawsuits in Tulsa against this firm, but cannot find links to them. I do have witnesses and would love to get something done before the Statute of Limitations runs out. I have been trying to get something done about this since August 2012 and so far nothing. I'm on Social Security so my financial resources are very limited.

Worst moving company ever. We hired a 3-man crew to move a 1650 square foot house. Almost all of our items were packed into boxes and in our garage, with the exception of dressers, mattresses (we had already broken down the beds), washer, dryer and kitchen table and chairs (no living room set). When the crew arrived, the "boss" (I think his name was Wade) came to me in the garage and asked what was to be moved. I gave him a break down, and said that my wife was inside if he had any questions. He then went to her and told her no one told him what he was moving.
Wade was VERY rude and condescending to my wife during this entire process. The other two men were nice. When they started packing, they packed ALL the boxes first. I understand packing some first, but then you save the rest of the boxes as filler. As a result, there were a lot of leftover items like our patio set that Wade refused to load because he said there was no room, even though there was 5 feet of space from the top of the truck to the highest item, and about 15 feet back into the truck (we had a 26-foot truck). Wade offered to make a second trip for that stuff and we said no. It took them 3 hours to pack the truck, and they were VERY SLOW. It could have been done in less than 2 hours. They also did not wrap ANYTHING in blankets, even though they were supposed to.
Unloading was quicker, I was not there for most of it as I was packing up the stuff they wouldn't take. When I returned to pay the bill, they billed me for their "smoking break", and also billed us for a gas tax. When we obtained the quote, I was told $129 per hour for a 3-man crew and that was it, the "gas tax" was NEVER MENTIONED. After the move, I asked Wade about an issue with our entertainment center, as something had come loose. It was not like that before, but Wade refused to acknowledge it, saying he had "wrapped it in Saran wrap so it wasn't his problem". The moving crew left and I noticed a large dent in our staircase.
We just built the house, and there was a piece of blue tape in that area because we needed to sand and repaint. They dented the area, and then used the blue tape to cover it up! To top everything off, I was called by the manager about 2 hours after the crew left. I told him how difficult Wade was, and how he treated my wife extremely poorly and was rude and condescending. The managers answer? "Wade has been here a long time and I can't believe that". Not even an apology. Don't trust these movers, from extra fees not in the quotes to rude service and damaged goods/homes. All My Sons Moving is by far the worst option to go with.

I contacted AMSM for an estimate on moving my house contacts from 2 storage units to approx. 3 miles down the road. I was quoted $375.00 for 3 men for 3 hours. Their rate was $120.00 per hour. I understood that and agreed to hire them. I was told, I would be contacted by a manager within 48 hrs to confirm. After 3 days, I contacted AMSM to make sure I was indeed scheduled for the move in 2 days. I was (thankfully) and was told I would receive a call when they were leaving and it would give me 30 minutes to meet them at the unit. The morning of the move, 9-13-13, I get a call saying that they were already there. When I asked about the phone call I was told they tell everyone that.
I drive to the storage unit and they begin loading the van. I proceed to take items to the house that I could move in my SUV with my boyfriend. We continue to check on the movers and notice 2 are working and the third is doing very little. There is a lot of sarcastic comments being exchanged and not a lot of hustle. After 4 hours of loading with 2 guys and my bf and I helping, we are ready to unload. We get to the house and start unloading.
My leather recliner has the back taken off and is never reassembled. My office file cabinets have scratches on them. My kitchen chairs are dinged up and my bedroom set has huge chunks taken out of one of the posts. Unfortunately, I notice this after they have gone. My parts to my refrigerator are missing and are nowhere to be found. I had to reorder them to the tune of $180.00 and will not have them for 3-5 business days. So no refrigeration for 2 weeks. AMSM company is sorry for the inconvenience.
WOW, that is helpful. Not that all that isn't bad enough, the $375.00 estimate is now $900.00 and the movers are asking for a tip (which I gave to all 3). It got to the point that we just had boxes put on the porch to get rid of them. We then had to bring them into the house. I have called numerous times to inquire about the refrigerator parts to no avail. I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. From the beginning to the end, it was a nightmare and, oh yes, they charged me for travel time which was $120.00. The movers were badmouthing the company saying they always misquote jobs. Need I say anymore?

Before I scheduled my move with the Fort Lauderdale section of All My Sons Moving and Storage, I made them guarantee that they would be at the owner of the furniture's house at 8 am as he had to go to work that day. All I asked was for a guarantee so that my move would go slowly. They ended showing up at 8:40 am and the guy couldn't wait any longer because he had to go to work. I called AMS and told them what they did was very unprofessional. When I spoke to Shane, he told me there was an accident on the glades, traffic and any other excuse he could come up with. He went on to unsympathetically state that the man could wait another 10 minutes. 10 minutes would have been fine but again, they didn't get there till 8:40. I had specifically asked for the day off from work to have the move performed and after they ended up ruining it, I had to find movers on Craigslist.
What all the customers need to know is... when I asked Shane for my hundred-dollar deposit back, his exact words were... I DON'T NEED YOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS and hung up! I just wanted to let everybody know what this company is all about! I have since filed a complaint with BBB as well as tried to contact the head of AMS to let them know what kind of staff they have working for them. When I complained to a manager, I didn't even get an apology. All he said was, "You will have your refund within a few business days and have a nice day!"

Got an estimate by phone after thoroughly describing furniture and 2 commercial copy machines that needed to be moved just across the street from one house to another. Told AMS they MUST bring blankets and an appliance dolly with the rollers on the back to move the copiers. Scheduled the move and on that day, 'Joe' shows up with three guys who looked like they were on a work release program. After 'Joe' did a three minute walk through the house he declared the estimate was way too low and proceeded to tell me the price would jump from 1800 dollars to 2400 dollars and possibly more after they were done. I told Joe we had a verbal agreement and he needed to call his office to get directions.
After a half hour of dickering, he agreed to take the 1800 dollars and if they went over the estimated hours, we would pay the difference. The movers went into 'slo-mo' as they were being paid by the hour and I believe 'Joe' told them to 'stroke the job and show this SOB who is in charge.' I began moving twice as much by myself each trip than any of their workers.
After three or four hours I called the AMS local office (twice) and finally 'Josh', their 'field supervisor' (actually just another mover from what I could see) and he proceeded to 'talk' to 'Joe’ and guaranteed me they would pick up the pace. Once 'Josh' left, 'Joe' got right in my face and demanded to know why I was 'dissin' him to his boss. I told 'Joe' to get out of my face and called AMS again. 'Josh' responded again. I told him to get these jokers the hell out and get me a new crew, especially after they moved one of the copiers and despite my specific instructions on how to move it, spilled the fuser oil from the copier all the way down the carpeted hallway, steps, entry, driveway, street, new house paver driveway, entry wood floor, step carpeting, and wood floor hallway!
Finally got new 5 man crew, 'Darrell' as new boss. They did in 3 hours what the total other crew and I did in 5 hours and did a great job, except for dropping the 54" marble table top from the dinette set and shattering it into several pieces! I would not recommend these clowns and charlatans to my worst enemy or even one of my ex-wives!
I documented everything, submitted a claim and have been trying for two months to get AMS to stand up and pay for all the broken, damaged, or destroyed items. Their 'legal' department guy, 'Chris' keeps alluding to the '60 cents a pound' liability they have and has yet to tell me what they intend to do. I told him his guy 'Joe' strongly advised against the additional insurance as '99% of the people don't buy it and we have a great reputation'. Wish I would have seen this website FIRST!

We had a good experience with All My Sons Moving. They exceeded our expectations after reading all of these negative reviews. We were worried. We had rented a Penske truck and just wanted a couple of men to help us load the truck. The movers showed up on time, worked extremely hard in high heat, would hardly take a break to drink bottled water we offered and were done in the two hours we had contracted them for. They were respectful, careful and did all the truck packing with knowledge. The only complaint we have and thus we did not give them 5 stars, is that the quoted price did not include a fuel charge or a charge for the mover’s time in transit from office to our apartment. Otherwise we would recommend this company and we would consider using them again.

I just had All My Sons move our stuff in to two PODs sitting in our driveway. I was told I would get 4 movers with a 2-hour minimum of $139/hr. It took the men 2 hours and I was charged almost $600 just to move my things to PODs sitting there. I was informed I had to pay an hour of labor for the guys' travel time plus a $65 fuel charge. The guys told me they would wrap all of my furniture before putting it in the POD but they only wrapped half of it. I specifically told them not to move a couple of boxes I needed and they put them far back in the pod so they are stuck. A few major bruises on my walls from the movers too. I highly do not recommend this company. Hugest rip off ever!!!

My wife and I had all small items moved already so all that needed to be moved was large items, and very few of them. They loaded the truck and drove to the new location, backed into the driveway, and now we are told it would be an additional $104.00 to unload or they drive off and keep all our items. My first thought was to track down the owner and take a few years off his life because of the way he conducts his business, still thinking about that. Anyway stay away from this crook. I'm told he also owns a pizza place off Pelham Rd. called Frankie's. I might stop in.

As a former employee of AMS both in the corporate office in farmers Branch, TX and then the local office in Kent, WA, I can say without a doubt it is all a scam. They don't tell you about the hidden charges cause yes they are out to make money albeit very much underhanded. The CFO if any of you are curious is Ormando Gomez, who has a penchant for being a wanna be gangster as in threatened me one day, "I will fly up there personally and break your legs if you ever tell a customer NO." His words exactly and the people at We care Claims, forget about it. The 60 cents per pound is a lie as is the whole generations of moving that the sales rep give you when trying to get your business.
The reason I got fired is mostly due to being truthful about the quotes. I would typically go out and do an inventory of the move, let them know this is how many men, it could take between this and this time to finish the move and there would be a gas fee tact on. If you really want to stop this underhanded business then contact the BBB. The more complaints and the better the result at getting the company shut down. This coming from a former employee of AMS.

I was moving from my apartment of 8 years and decided to take the stress off of myself and friends by securing a moving company for August 1, 2013. I called around to several moving companies in the RI area and when I spoke with the sales representative at All My Sons, he was extremely kind, friendly and helpful answering all of my questions. I was happy with the price of $89/hour and the reviews I read for All My Sons on their website were positive, so I scheduled my move. I requested a confirmation from the representative I spoke with, a confirmation which I believe would be sent out as all companies do when you schedule something as big as a move to include a deposit paid, the date of move, any terms and conditions, etc. I was told I would receive it via email within a few moments of ending our conversation.
A couple of hours went by and I called back and spoke with another representative who said he would send it right over. Another hour went by and I called back again and spoke with a man who was very rude and short with me. He explained that All My Sons doesn't send out a confirmation or terms and conditions, but that he'd send it over; he did, and I received it via email shortly after my 3rd conversation with someone at All My Sons that day... not without a fight. July 31st comes and it's 2:30 p.m. and I still haven't heard anything from All My Sons, as I was told on my initial call that I would receive a call to confirm a time to expect movers. I called and spoke with Michael who said Brad was making his calls and I would receive a call within 30 minutes.
3 hours later, I still had not heard anything from anyone so I called back and spoke with Michael again who was very apologetic and explained he'd have Brad call me ASAP. Brad did call me back within a few minutes to advise me that the movers I had requested to come first thing in the morning, would arrive between the hours of 12-4. Brad was very rude and condescending with me, told me "I don't know how the moving business works." I was informed the moving crew was starting off in Seekonk, MA and would call me when they left that job and were heading to my apartment. August 1st comes around, it's 3:30 p.m. and I still haven't heard anything from the moving crew. I called and spoke with someone to check in and see what was going on. Whomever I spoke with was rude and short and hung up on me after saying he'd look into it.
A couple minutes later I got a call from a very nice name, I can't remember his name, who was very apologetic and explained he spoke with the driver and they had run into some snags at their job in Seekonk, but would be finishing up within 20 minutes and would call me when they were done. 5:15 p.m., I'm sitting out on my porch and the All My Sons truck pulls up. I never got a call to say they were on their way. After they parked the truck, I came downstairs to greet them and both of the guys didn't say hi; it seemed like they were annoyed that they had to be there. They both came upstairs to assess the items I had to move. Danny, was the friendlier of the two, but the other guy with him didn't say more than asking me if he could use my bathroom twice.
Although they were somewhat efficient, I think that my move could've been done in less than the 4 hours it took. I had all of my boxes organized and in my dining room. I only had a couch, coffee table, armoire and queen size mattress for the big ticket items. A few items of mine were damaged with scratches and dents. At the end of the night when they were wrapping up, one of them got a phone call from a mutual friend and they were making plans to meet him out at a local bar; very unprofessional.
This company added MORE stress to my moving day rather than what I was promised, which was to take the stress away. I'm not happy AT ALL with how my move was handled from the second call I made on the day I initially booked my move, to the actual move date. If I had known how horrible this experience was going to be, I would've paid more money to go with a higher rated company who would've treated me kindly and held up to their promises. I will NOT recommend All My Sons to friends/family for their moving needs.

They charged me $710.43 for 4.75 hrs, $62.68 fuel charge which was to be included in the $359 fee, $21.00 for materials I didn't see or use. Mind you, my house was prepacked by my children and me. $109.00 travel time fee. I was scammed, ripped off the whole nine.
The representative behind the phone by the name of Frank was rude and nasty. He should be banned from dealing with customers at every degree allowed. Being a single mom of 3 and an active duty soldier, I've never felt so hurt. They also didn't tell me I had to pay at unloading. I couldn't find my credit card due to it being in my uniform top. Refused to allow the workers to retrieve the box. I had to wait for a friend to lend me the money to release my goods. AND then they charged me another $109 for that. PLEASE NEVER USE THEM. Oh and by the way the general manager, Kevin, was no help at all when I called to get assistance from him on the cell number provided. I contacted the office on June 5th, 2013. The rep came out on June 6th and I walked him through the house showing him everything that they would be moving. He asked me if I wanted them to pack my china, and other small items or just the large furniture. I told him I would box up all my china, dishes and personal things, and that I wanted them to pack up all the furniture, aka, dressers, sofas, TVs, large glass dining room table, glass kitchen table, etc. etc. and he said they would take care of all of that. I told him I had sold the house and needed to be out before I closed on July 1st. He then set my move date for June 28th and said they would call me one hour before they headed my way and if I had any questions or needed anything else, just give him a call.
Well, one week before I was scheduled to move, I contacted the office to confirm that I was still on the schedule. The representative at the office was very hateful and brushed me off. At that point I tried to get the rep on the phone and he wouldn't answer, so I left several messages and he would not return my call. Then the morning of the scheduled move, I called him and he did answer and told me, "We're going to take great care of you and we will call you one hour before we arrive." Well after waiting half the day, I tried getting him on the phone again, no answer. Left him a message again, and then at 8:30 p.m. the moving truck shows up, with 3 men. They walked into my house, said they had just got in from Evansville, Indiana and did not understand why the office sent them to my house.
They looked at all my stuff they were to pack up and said there is no way they could move me. They had no packing items on the truck and if they were to move my stuff there would be damages. They contacted their supervisor back at the office trying to explain this to him, and he kept telling them to get the stuff on the truck. At that point, it was around 8:45 p.m. and I got tired of them trying to explain to the supervisor that I did not want my stuff moved because of possible damages. He wouldn't listen to his own employees, so I told them to hand me the phone and I informed him that they were not moving anything at 8:45 p.m. I ask him at that point if they could instead reschedule me for the next morning. He informed me that in no way that could happen, because they had a schedule to keep.
Well they did not keep their scheduled move with me. This put me in a bad place. I had to get on the phone the next morning, which was a Saturday and find somebody to not only move me but also store my stuff. Luckily, I did find a moving company and they came out on the very morning I had to be out of my house and worked all day packing my stuff up and moving it to their storage facility. I would not recommend All My Sons to anybody. They totally overbook and are very unprofessional.

Move scheduled for 7:30am; received call around 8am stating they were delayed as NONE of their trucks would start. They would be at home by 10am. 10:30am I called; and was told the trucks started, but someone had broken in and stolen all their equipment. Therefore, they had to purchase new equipment. I requested a discount. I was given an Airline analogy as a reply. As the day wore on and after many hostile phone calls between AMS and myself, they, AMS, threatened to cancel my move. In the meantime, I was told one driver picked up everyone's equipment instead of his own (One of the movers that helped me told me this was an inaccurate statement). At one time I was told the drivers were 5 minutes from my home. This, too, was an inaccurate statement. I was later told they were 5 minutes from AMS location. Like I said, after many hostile phone conversations and numerous lies, I was told the drivers were at my apartment and I refused to answer the door; that they had been calling me and I, also, refused to answer my phone.
After I was accused of lying to AMS, it was discovered that the drivers were at the wrong apartment complex and the number they had been calling was my work number. I, literally, had to walk up to the main street and flag the driver down. They were scheduled to arrive at 7:30am; they arrived a little after 2:00pm. It took them over 4 hours w/ 3 men to load & unload 20 boxes, 2 chests, 1 Queen size bed and 3 very small tables. The drivers/movers were fantastic, but they did charge me while they took breaks.
I phoned AMS this morning (7-22-13) at 7:30am to file a complaint and was told drivers were being dispatched and my call would be returned in 30 minutes. At 9:15am, I phoned again to speak to Anthony and he ended up being the same person who lied to me all day on Saturday, kept giving me Airline analogies (2, as a matter of fact) and he refused to listen to me, kept telling me his woes and how much that day costs him in rental trucks and equipment. DO NOT EVER USE "ALL MY SONS MOVING"...and please tell your family and friends to not use them. Their doors need to be closed and locked forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was informed that drawers would be taped - they were not. Resulted in a 5-drawer chest going to the dump. My well-organized desk was not taped and the contents were THROWN into a suitcase and found the rest in a clothes hamper. Legal documents that I really did not want strangers digging through found all bent and some wadded including old photos I had in my vanity - this too was not taped. Sorriest job of movers I have ever experienced and would never recommend the one out of Greenville SC. Also, price quote was solid until 48 hrs before the move. Then it went up over $700! Fortunately, I did have the money but what in the world would someone had done at that late date that did not???

I am writing to let others know of the poor moving experience I had with All My Sons Moving in April 2013. I had used this company in 2007 or 2008 and was pleased with the professional job and good price; therefore I chose them again without looking at online reviews. Bad mistake.
The move was from a studio condo in a Fort Worth high-rise and the goods were to be placed in storage until I was ready for them at my new place. I was told ahead of time of the amount it would cost me per hour ($89) as well as the one hour travel charge. I was also told of storage fees. What I was not prepared for was a $197 box charge (later reduced to $167 after I complained) and the excessive amount of time it took for the move. I lived in a 550 sq. foot studio apartment and had nearly packed up all the items. Unfortunately, I ran out of boxes and did not pack my bathroom items, 4 pantry shelves, and some of my clothing. I also left a coat and 3-4 shirts unpacked as well as some miscellaneous items. Nor did I pack my pictures and mirrors.
The moving crew showed up without any boxes in the truck and I was told that I would have to request boxes ahead of time. I did not know this. When I originally arranged the move, I told Chad that I would pack "nearly" everything myself, which I did. I was not aware that the movers would not be equipped to handle mirrors/pictures, and anything miscellaneous that was not packed. In the end, the movers charged me an outrageous $197 for the few boxes, and when I called, the man who answered the phone said to me: "Did you think those boxes would be free?" He said this over and over. No, I did not expect them to be free, but I would have liked to know the amount of the boxes ahead of time. I would have gone out of my way to purchase all my own boxes. The amounts they charged me for the boxes were way over what I could have purchased at U-Haul and other places.
I was also overcharged in terms of hours. As I said, I lived in a studio apartment. There was a TV, a TV console, a couch, a chair with footstool, three lamps, two end tables, as well as clothing and toiletries for one person. No beds or mattresses; no appliances. I was charged for 6 hours--two of these hours were to put stuff in storage and I don't dispute that. There were 3 persons there and it took 4 hours! It took the foreman at least 30 minutes to determine the bill, not to mention the time they spent waiting for someone to bring the boxes. I made this same move in 2008--from a 3 BR home in Weatherford--into a one BR condo in this same high-rise, with twice the amount of goods, 5 years ago and it cost me around $400.
At any rate, this was an absolutely awful experience. I was charged nearly $1000 for the move on that day, and the move wasn't done. I still needed to pay to have my goods delivered. I was overcharged in terms of how many hours it took to do the work, and was not warned in advance about the box fee. I feel that a move this size should not have cost me more than $500 (for pick-up of goods only--not counting storage).
Follow-up: My household goods were delivered 6 weeks later and this was an equally bad experience. I was fairly charged for 3 hours--one travel hour and 2 hours to unload the truck. But my rate was now not the previous rate of $89 an hour, but had been jacked up to $109 an hour! I questioned the moving man, but he had no answer for me--he just held out the paperwork for me to sign. The total cost for the second part of the move was $431. At this point, one has no choice but to pay the fees. There was minor damage to my goods--nothing to put in a claim about. They did lose one shower curtain rod and one computer table ($100 in value); I called and reported this and was told they would look for my items. I never heard back.
Lessons learned: Never, ever, ever choose a mover without first reading the online reviews, even if you had a good experience in the past. Have the movers put all expected charges in writing, not just the hourly fee and the travel fee, but the charge for boxes. Ask them how they pack pictures and mirrors. I did not have my mirrors and pictures packed and I was shocked when they started to take them out to the truck--I was told that they just wrap them with blankets. Ask the company for an estimate of how much your move should cost. For example, one person moving out of a studio should not cost as much as a couple moving out of a one BR apartment.

If I could rate a negative number of stars, I would. I had an arrival window scheduled between 12-3 pm on Thursday, May 30th, and had been contacted multiple times in the previous week to confirm my move date and time, and had even paid a $350 deposit. By 2:50 pm on the 30th, I'd heard no word from anyone and called into All My Sons. After requesting a manager, I was transferred to a man who informed me that my movers were stuck on PGBT in a broken down truck and that they were awaiting the arrival of a new truck. I was not given a new time frame to expect the truck, and after asking specific questions, learned that the previous job had not yet been completed - the truck was broken down with a full load of another person's items.
It was further explained to me that it was impossible for movers to get to my home on the 30th, despite having had it pre-scheduled and a hefty deposit paid for, and in all actuality, it was unlikely the 31st would work either since I would be "fit in" once the other scheduled moves for that day were completed. My only real alternative, according to the "manager" I spoke with, was Saturday, June 1st. For those of you who understand contracts (something All My Sons has no regard for apparently), I could not just stay an extra day in my rental home and hope the property management company and the new tenants moving in after me would understand.
I requested an immediate refund of my deposit and pretty much kept my fingers crossed that they would honor it. Of course, I did contact my bank and submitted a fraud complaint too. I did end up getting my refund, although it took All My Sons a full week to refund my money, and I did end up finding an alternate moving company to show up very early on the morning of the 31st (they actually indicated I was about the 10th caller they'd heard from that had been duped by All My Sons that day). I will never use All My Sons, and strongly urge others to find an alternative company.

They appeared good on paper. I hated every minute of my association with this "not" All My Son's. Even the workers were discussed with their boss Richard. They lost a very expensive display case with stain glass doors and then miraculously found it but returned it scratched. They lost my shelves to my computer desk and cabinets, never replaced or refunded any monies to me.
They charged me more than estimated costs. They had my freezer full of food overnight and didn't keep it plugged in so I lost all my food items in the freezer. They showed up to deliver my furniture at 9:30 at night and were here until midnight. Non-responsive from Richard the owner. None of the workers are related to him and so not All My Sons. It has been over a year and I still have no resolution even though Richard promised to get to the bottom of this. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND YOU USE THEM TO MOVE EVEN YOUR GARBAGE, NOT TO MENTION ANYTHING YOU WANT IN YOUR HOME.

Don't use them, from Sarasota/Bradenton, FL area!!! I had used them three years ago, with no problems. However, this time, not only did they damage walls and complain about carrying my furniture upstairs (which they charge extra for) and dealing with a sleeper sofa (which I paid extra for), but they also tried to charge me for time that they spent on the phone with the dispatcher and supposed arrival time a half hour earlier than they arrived. The driver had the office on speaker phone, and they put him on hold several times (20 min total conversation). They wanted to charge me for an extra $52.
When I called customer service, the woman would not even listen to me. She talked over me (her name is Diane, NOT a nice or professional person to deal with). Finally, they told me that if I did not pay the extra amount, the the driver would have to cover it. I tipped the driver out an extra $40 to try to cover it if they did, but I refused to pay for their failure to communicate and complete work through the office in a timely manner. No one should be on hold when you are paying an hourly rate. Also, I had to pay and complete customer service survey before they unloaded the truck. And, just for the record, they did not supply their workers with straps or other normal equipment to safeguard your property or their workers. Ridiculous! Don't use them!!!

All My Sons Moving moved us and damaged A LOT of furniture, including a brand new bedroom set - all the pieces - and an antique bureau, and a leather couch. We were also missing some items, including a whole box of CDs. As a result, we filed a claim with We Care Claims Management and have not received any response from them. We have tried on several occasions to call them and there is no answer. At the moment, we are considering hiring a lawyer.

I scheduled a move over the phone. I was quoted $99 per hour for 2 movers, minimum of 2 hours. I was told time started when movers arrived. I called back to confirm, spoke with a different woman and asked about "hidden fees" specifically, fuel or mileage charges; she said there were none. Also she confirmed that time stopped when movers finished unloading. So the day before the move, I was expecting a phone call from All My Sons to tell me what time our move was scheduled. I gave them 2 phone numbers for a reason but they called one and neglected to try the other number. As it turns out when I got dispatch on the phone, he informed me of a 12% tax charge for fuel or something like that and then proceeded to explain that I will also be paying for 30 min. of the movers' time each way to and from the warehouse.
When I questioned him about this and told him I spoke with Laura and another girl and this is NOT what I was told, he became very rude. He refused to put me on the line with anyone else. He said he was the only supervisor and then claimed to be the owner when I requested to speak with him. His supposed name is Frank **. Initially, upon scheduling the move, the employees were all nice and kind, saying, "Welcome to the family". I told him that it is amazing to me how quickly their tune changed. I put my husband on the phone when I was frustrated to no end and once again, Frank said that he will cancel. Needless to say, my husband had a choice phrase for Frank and we found a much better service to move us at a more affordable rate. DO NOT HIRE ALL MY SONS! Horrible customer service!!! ZERO stars!!

Well, I am NOT surprised they have a bad rating. Let me clarify, I DID NOT HIRE THEM FOR MOVING SERVICES. Instead, I tried to pick my son up from school (because he had a let’s just say gross incident at school and was very sick) and I COULD NOT get out because these people parked two HUGE moving trucks in the middle of the road. One end backs up into the school itself and the other leads out to the rest of the neighborhood. This particular street is 1 of 2 entrances to the entire school and this particular side was the entrance for the fire department if there is an emergency. This is the side all parents go to for their children in preschool or kindergarten as well.
To sum up, it is a street that should be kept as clear as possible. In fact, I frequently see police officers writing up tickets on this street. Let me also just clarify that if these trucks were a mere 3-4 inches to either the left OR the right, people would be able to get through. I called All My Sons right away, explained my situation and asked that the trucks be moved so I could rush my son home. The man on the phone was VERY short and snarky with me. His politeness was extremely superficial and it was obvious he was trying to hang up the phone as quickly as possible. We waited in the car for around 10 minutes before I tried calling the Oregon City phone number on the truck. (I tried the PDX line first.) This next man was a little younger sounding and a lot more polite. He said he would call the drivers immediately (something the first man DID NOT even say, surprisingly).
I waited another 5 minutes and then I could hear laughing and talking coming from the other side of one of the trucks. I kept waiting and then decided to go check it out see if it was maybe the movers. Sure enough, it was a small group of them laughing and chatting. They were not even trying to at least fake haste for our sake. Of course, I got very angry at this point and told them to please get into the trucks and MOVE. They kind of just stared at me smiling and acting like they didn't give a ** that my son has his own ** coming out of his pants. I also think it’s worth pointing out that this group looked extremely unprofessional and underdressed. I don't know about you, but if and when I hire people to come into my home and touch my belongings, I wouldn't want them looking like they are about to ** my stuff.
The last time I hired movers, they had on uniforms and were pretty darn clean. ANYWAY, at this point, I admittedly got very angry and told them they were acting like ** and unprofessional and I was going to leave them a terrible review on every website I could find. I then flipped them off and they returned the sentiment. I guess I can't entirely fault them for that, except ideally if you are in customer service, you should probably never flip anyone off on the job, for any reason. So here I am. My most severe anger is reserved for those who endanger children IN ANY WAY or even commit actions with such blatant disregard. What if there was an emergency bigger than kindergarten diarrhea pants? Would they have acted the same way? Does it even matter? What does customer service truly mean to this company? Is it only reserved for those who pay them money? These are important questions they should ask themselves.

They talk the talk at the beginning before the move and when it comes to your move day, they are horrible. They broke a brand new $12000 TV. I was told it would be fixed and they made me go though all kinds of crazy hoops to file a claim. They came back to tell me all they could pay was $0.60; that's 60 cents. That's all. $0.60 does not even pay for the postage I had to pay to get the claim papers to them. This is by far the worst place to go. All My Sons Moving is just talk and they don't want to back it up.

This company is probably the worst company I've ever hired to do anything. They are not movers, they are a wrecking crew. I was told they'd be at my house between 9:00am-10am. At 11:00am, I received a call saying they were lost. I asked if they had a GPS and they said yes, but continued to ask directions because they weren't "good" with directions they told me! My gut instinct said to cancel them at that point but I didn't. My gut was dead on. They showed up in a leased truck, carrying BRAND NEW padding - never been used and a big box (I think it was meant for the 60" TV).
The first sign of trouble was when my headboard came out of the house and put on the truck UNPADDED! I asked about padding and they said they'd put it on. Things went downhill quickly after that. It was evident these people had never moved anything before as you DON'T put a 60" TV in ONE pad blanket and throw it on the truck nor do you do that with a glass dining room table. EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF FURNITURE WAS EITHER BROKEN (glass dining room table), RIPPED (sofa, loveseat, mattress) OR SCRATCHED (everything)! Even the apartment from where we moved out of was damaged! Clearly these people had never been trained. This was a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience and I beg all of you to NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Not only do they damage everything, you pay a HIGH PRICE for it. STAY AWAY!!! PLEASE!!!

We contracted with All My Sons in Houston for a local house move. The move occurred on March 27th. The movers arrived without notice (they were coming from across town and had agreed to phone ahead 30 minutes). When they arrived, their truck was obviously not large enough and they had failed to bring the simple tools most movers have with them. They also failed to bring enough pads. It gets worse. A 30-minute trip from one house to the other took them over an hour and a half (they charge by the hour). As it got later, many of the boxes which were marked for the room they were to go in were just stacked in the garage.
Several items were damaged beyond repair. A large desk was broken due to improper handling and I was told by the movers I would be contacted the next day and it would be replaced. Another table had one of its legs broken. The movers glued and taped it back together then hid it among the boxes they stacked in the garage. We discovered it a few days later. Four days after the move, we were contacted by a bank where we have a commercial account about possible check fraud. It turns out one of the movers had stolen a few checks from a checkbook in my wife's car and proceeded to write himself some checks. When we contacted the owner of the local agency, he confirmed that this was one of the movers who had worked our move and that all of his movers had background checks and no criminal record.
The Missouri City, TX detective who investigated the case disputed that claim as the individual involved in fact did have a record. Also stolen were a camera, a Nook and some jewelry. After more than two months, a number of phone calls and a detailed letter, the owner has not/will not respond to address the damages. After a couple of weeks, he sent out a repair person who touched up scratches on other furniture and said he would report the desk and table as not repairable and a loss. Again, the local agency owner in Houston, TX has not/will not address the damages.

We hired All My Sons Moving thinking they would be quick and easier than having family and friends help us move. First, they were late. We were convinced to hire 3 men instead of 2 and were told this would speed up the process of moving and in return save us money. All 3 men were extremely slow and took their time moving furniture. We were shocked that they were deliberately moving slow while taking advantage of the fact we were being charged by the hour.
They took several 15-minute smoke breaks and even sat down to eat lunch. The smokers were even throwing their cigarette butts in our driveway. One of the men even clogged our toilet without apologizing for it. After calling customer service to complain, they still moved slow and continued to take their time. The total job took 8 hours which should have taken half of that and in total we had to pay $1,100. Most ridiculous experience I have ever had and we were totally taken advantage off and robed of money. I would never recommend this company to anyone. We were never told the move would take a full day.

I was told my move date is either June 6 or 7th but when I called today, they told me I now have to wait until June 3rd to MAYBE find out when they're coming. This has been so stressful and I'm now getting really worried I made the wrong decision by going with them. I have a very tiny window to move this month and if they don't come through, I'll now have to wait until July with NOWHERE TO LIVE! I set up a move with All My Sons. I told the manager, Aaron, that I didn't want to spend more than $500 on this move and he told me no problem; they could have my apartment loaded in less than an hour. I went and got my son and a friend to help load the last hour and they moved more furniture than AMS did. After 5 1/2 hours, we still didn't have it all loaded, but all my big pieces were so we got in the car to head to my new place. My new place is 5 minutes away. It took them 30 minutes. The manager called me and said, "We need to call it a day and start fresh in the morning," because his guys were tired. I told him I had no place to stay and he said, "Well, everyone is tired and stressed and we just need to call it a day."
I went a little crazy and said, "I want my things tonight." So they got out of their truck and brought me a bill for $1600 to be paid before they would unload. I hit the roof and asked why so much. They estimated it would take 5 hours to unload me which would put us at 1 am. I told Aaron that I had 3 of my own guys here to help and it would not take that long. He still told me that I had to pay $1600. I had to borrow money from 2 people that were helping me so they would unload my stuff. With my friends helping, we got it done in a little over an hour.
I did get a refund but my move that was going to be $500 ended up costing me $1200. If I didn't have good friends to help me, I guess AMS would still have my stuff and would be charging me a storage fee. This was a very expensive lesson learned. I plan on contacting the BBB, Attorney General's office and 7 on your side which is on KATV. I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this kind of treatment!
