I'm 93 years old and I live alone. I had a heart attack and a surgery and had a defibrillator put in. I needed some help. One time, I fell and although my son lives by me, he said that I got to have a Lively Mobile device in case he's gone since he goes to the lake a lot. So he bought one for me and I've been wearing it ever since. I feel good about it because I know I could get help. It doesn't bother me because I know it's for my own good. But I had a problem with the first device. It didn't work correctly and wouldn't charge. The reps ran something but it still didn't help. So I talked to their reps and they replaced it. I'd tell a friend to get a Lively Mobile device.

My husband is over 80 and he has had medical issues. The Lively Mobile device was suggested to us by our homeowner's association here that it was available and that by having it, we would be assured that my husband would have the response of help if he needs it. I'm one of the benefactors and when I leave the house and knowing that he has it on, he would have some assistance if he fell. He wears it on occasion and it seems to work just fine. It's like having an insurance. There has been a big push for Lively Mobile in the community and I find this in a lot of people in the last couple of years.

I’m a high-fall-risk. I wear my Lively Mobile on my neck all the time, except when I’m sleeping. I put it on as soon as I get up in the morning. I have had fewer worries since getting it. I regularly get a false reading like, “We detected a fall. Please push the button if you really didn’t fall.” I then push the button. I have a really rare, neurological disease and I’m in a support group with other people with the same rare, neurological disease. I've told them that I like Lively Mobile and that I recommend it.

I already had a medical alert device from MobileHelp and their unit was excellent but it consisted of three parts. There was a home base and then one that I wore in my belt and the neck unit. And it was a plain pain in the ass. So when GreatCall came out with a single unit that you wear around your neck, I switched over. It is one simple part that did everything that MobileHelp’s three units accomplished and the costs were about exactly the same. I feel more comfortable wearing GreatCall than not, especially when I'm in the shower. But I had one issue the other day when I put it down and it didn’t seem to charge. Otherwise, my experience has been excellent.
GreatCall has a great product and I recommended it to a neighbor of mine here in Delray Beach and I gave him a flyer which gave him all the information as to how to call GreatCall. He did so but he ended up being connected to a completely different company because someone redirected his phone call to a rival company. My impression is that there's a mole in their marketing office who is being paid by a rival company. I had my neighbor drop the rival company and he called GreatCall again. I was there with him and he is now enrolled in their program.

I feel very secure with Lively Mobile because I am a widow living by myself. The device fits in very well. I have a broken shoulder and I haven't been driving. My daughter has been taking me every place and I haven't been mobile, although I walk around. All I do is push the button if I need help. I take it every place that I go. So far, I have not used it in any place but I feel good knowing I have it, especially at night time, and I feel comfortable. If I need someone at night or someone trying to answer my home, I feel good because I live right here at the police station. If anything happens to me, I just have to push that button and I have someone I can talk to -- the nurse or to the doctor -- and they would send me the help that I need if I get locked outside. I would recommend Lively Mobile anytime to anyone. I'm very satisfied with the experience.

Lively Mobile was the cheapest medical alert I saw. I put the device on when I go out and when I go to bed and I feel safer with it. I fell a couple of times and I called their team. They were responsive and I was impressed because they were right here on time and did what they were supposed to do. Everything was terrific with Lively Mobile.

I’m a senior citizen at 84 who lives alone and all of my kids live far away. I’m very independent but I needed some sort of access to help if I needed it. I tried using a medical alert product from a different company but the technology did not work properly. Their technician had to come to the house several times to look at the wires, so I had discontinued it and then I called Lively Mobile. I saw some material about what Lively Mobile was offering and it sounded reasonable and I gave it a try. I put the device in the cradle when I go to bed and put it around my neck when I wake up and so far, so good. It’s perfect and I love it.

I have MS so I fall quite a bit and the GreatCall Lively Mobile is very worthwhile having. I had another one but I always had to carry my telephone ‘cause first, they talk on the machine and it’s about the size of an answering machine. Then if you don’t answer that, they call your phone. With GreatCall, I don’t have to carry my phone and I liked the fact that it talks to me. I pressed the button once and they called back right away. This has a GPS on it too. So it’s supposed to be able to find you. The other one didn’t unless you paid extra for it. I wear my GreatCall Lively Mobile around my neck and it's fine after I shortened the thing it’s hung on. I had to call customer service once because it wasn’t going on the way it was supposed to and they were very nice over the phone.

I'm 78 and I have a balancing issue. And I feel more secure with Lively Mobile around my neck. I did not like the black cord so I changed it and put my gold chain on it which is longer. The device is tucked inside my clothes because I do not like the white light blinking. I wear it backwards and then it's concealed under my clothes. But overall, the device fits very well to my lifestyle.

I was sometimes having problems walking and at my age, I was advised to get a medical alert device. Having one is important especially if you live by yourself. It's very nice to have something that you know can get help if you need it or wherever you're at. I live by myself, so having Lively makes a difference. If something came up, I could push a button and get to some help. I'm also a little more careful since I got it.

I live alone and I have several medical issues. I got a Lively Mobile and it made me feel more secure going to places or even at home. The biggest fear I had was if something happened to me in the house, I couldn't get a hold of anybody. The sense of security with Lively is incredible and it’s gotten me out more. It was very easy to setup and their customer service team was very good. But there was one little detail that happened to me twice. When I put it on the charger, it usually has some kind of chime to let me know that it's in there the right way, but it didn't do that a couple of times. Other than that, I’m really happy that I got Lively Mobile and I don’t want to go without it. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

My mother-in-law’s in independent living and she had taken a couple of falls. We wanted to make sure she had some type of call service in case that happens because she lives by herself. We’re doing quite well with Lively Mobile. We are paying for the service that we have for her, for security reasons, and we’ve been really pleased with the service. We’ve had all good experiences. They called her once, checking on her, and she was able to talk with them. They’ve also called us once saying that she fell and we took care of that right away. They were very cordial. We thought she had fallen but what had happened was her necklace was on her chest and she picked it up and moved it up to her shoulder so it recorded a fall.
So, there was no problem whatsoever and we were able to talk to her right away and it was all good. She feels more confident being by herself and taking a shower when nobody’s there because the device is waterproof and she can call if she falls. It’s providing us an extra layer of protection for her because we live about eight miles away so there’s somebody that’s going to be able to take care of her right away, and then they contact us. It’s also reasonably priced. We would recommend Lively Mobile.

I had quite a few falls. I was in the hospital over Christmas and I pretty much had to use my walker since then. My husband is also not able to pick me up because he has back problems and we can’t call any of our kids because they all work and they also all have some problems with their back. I have the Lively device, the wrist one, and I just keep it in my pocket all the time. I feel better because I have it.
When I had a problem because the device kept beeping somewhere between 4 and 6 pm, I had to call Lively Mobile to see what I should do. Their rep said I should put it on the charger for an about two hours in the afternoon so I've been trying to do that. She also mentioned about me living around a lot of trees, I didn't understand it though. Other than that, the Lively Mobile people have called me a couple of times and they were fine. That Christmas night, I had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital but my granddaughter was here who is an EMT. Lively called the ambulance and the response time was awesome. They were here in about 5 minutes.

I came home one day and my uncle had the Lively Mobile medical alert device and he gave it to me. I plug it in at night time and leave it there all night then I take it off in the morning and hang it around my neck and put it under my t-shirt. Several people had asked me questions about Lively Mobile and I told them that it could save their lives and that all they have to do is to push the button and talk and somebody would come up.

My wife has a pacemaker and some other health issues so we feel more secure that she has the Lively Mobile. We got it set up and they seemed very professional and helpful. But the neck lanyard that she got was worthless. It fastened together with a magnetic catch and it comes apart so she was always losing it. I took that off and tied a nice little bow on it instead. Also, the battery life is terrible as it will only last for less than 24 hours. It has to be recharged so she's without it for about four hours out of every 24 hours. But it has a GPS function and it's not tied to a base station which is exactly why we got it. We've had others that have the base station and she had to stay within 500 feet from that or it will not work.

My children thought I needed a medical alert device to help me out. I’m 86 years old, I have a tendency for falling, and I live by myself on a farm. So far, I haven’t had any problems with Lively Mobile. Their people I talked to have been very nice and very helpful. But I called them a month ago because I had taken a fall and I thought that when I fell, it would go off. But they said I didn’t have the full contract on it. I'd have to add another $10 which I can’t do being on a restricted budget, so I just have it where if I fall and can’t get help, I can press the button. But I wish I could have that service where if I fall, it would go off.
I put the device on when I get up first thing in the morning and I take it off when I go to bed at night. It hangs around my neck and there’s no inconvenience to it. It’s just there and I am glad to have it. I would recommend Lively Mobile highly because anyone that's my age and has a tendency to fall definitely needs to have something like this.

I have had a couple of dizzy spells which concerned me. I have the Medical Alert already when I got really dizzy while in a Target store. I was throwing up and it was full blown. They called the ambulance and brought me to the emergency, so I did not have to push the button. I’m by myself and I’m 86. I live in a senior mobile home park with a lot of people. The ambulance is right across from us and most of the calls are people who fell in their bathroom, so the device gives me security. I keep it right by my bed at night time. It is quite comfortable to wear and I have never even realized it is on. However, when I did volunteer work, somebody asked, "What's that light that keeps going on and on?" The device was showing through my blouse that day.
The first night I got Lively Mobile, I was holding it in my hand and I bent down to pick up something from the floor. Then, I got a call asking if I was okay or if I fell and I told them, "No". My interaction with their team had been excellent. Every time I call, everybody has always been courteous. Lively Mobile has been very good but they changed the cradle so my device had not been working right and had not been charging. So, they sent one for free. Certified seniors naturally call and the whole device was meant to do it. The gal who is in charge of it is going towards a great cause and I supported her on that. She recommends Lively Mobile to the group in the mobile home park. Everybody can get their own medical alert and it comes in handy.

I'm 80 years old and I live alone. I have a small dog and he's very helpful but when it comes to calling 911, he can't handle it. In the last two years, I've had a number of falls. I'm a retired registered nurse and I have also been involved in counseling people to have Lively Mobile. Plus, I've had back surgery. My mind and everything is still fine but my body is old. I tested the device one time. When I first called, the gal I talked to was excellent. She explained everything that I could think off that I needed to know.
One of the important things for me was many of the other devices around have a very limited area that they cover -- 300 feet from my house. That does not help me much because I go to places and do things. I have no control over what might happen to me 400 feet from the house. Lively Mobile does not lose me and they keep track of me. I tested it and they responded quickly.
I wear the device around my neck because I would be taking it off my wrist or I would have broken it by now. I'm anthropomorphic so I name everything. I named the device Blinky because it blinks. I have friends who chuckle at me in my naming everything but that's one of my trademarks. If I had lighter clothing on or a lighter top, you can see me blinking even if I have hidden it. The device gives me a sense of security. If I fall and knock myself out, I can push the button. I also don't want to be a prisoner to something either. I can just wear it anywhere and go anywhere.

I’m 88 years old and living in an independent living facility and I needed something when I travel. I haven’t had to use it at all other than to hook it up. I hooked it up I when was in California. And they told me I was in Stockton, California, so everything was fine. I feel like I have a way to call somebody if I need it. I wear it all the time and it sits on my belt so it’s very comfortable. It works fine. When it runs way down and I put it on a charger, somebody comes on and says, “This is such and such.” And then the voice comes on and it tells me that it’s working all right.
I researched all of these medical alert devices and found out Lively Mobile was the only one that had a microphone and speaker built in. You have to carry the others, and I didn’t want to do with that. Others advertise that Lively Mobile charges a lot to activate but that’s minimal because you would pay half of what you pay them for a month with it, and in four or five months, you’ve caught up to the cost.

I've had Lively Mobile for a year and a half and it has saved me once. It was a year before last Easter time and I was alone but by using the button, I was able to get someone to come. They said I saved myself. If I hadn’t had this button, I wouldn’t be here. I still wear it all the time and I don't go outside without it. I wear it on the thing around my neck and stick it in the top part of my bra. I don’t even realize that it’s there. A lot of times, I wake up and still have it on, still blinking. I had another one once, but it wasn’t any good at all. It was on my wrist and it wasn’t handy either. My GreatCall Lively Mobile seems okay and I’m happy with it. A lot of people have medical alert devices and I tell them to keep it. I've also suggested getting one to people who are alone.

We were happy for about 4 years with the previous two units (although they wore out sooner than we would like). Just had to replace a 'splash' with a 'Lively'. The Lively's entire call button continually flashes bright white light, which makes the wearer look like ET. My 90 y.o. mother immediately refused to wear it, and I don't blame her. We are looking for an alternate service. It seems really odd that no one realized that elderly people who need to wear the device would like to be discrete about it. Who really wants a light flashing on them when they are out in public, especially in a restaurant or movie theater, or anywhere after dark. The new design with the flashing light is more suitable for an hospital room device than for wearing in public.

Mark, we are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with your Lively Mobile and we appreciate your feedback. We changed the light from green (on the Splash) to white, as the feedback we received was that the green light was hard to see. The flashing light shows the wearer that the service is active and working.

Since using Lively Mobile, I feel more comfortable. I live by myself and having a medical alert device is very important. The only thing that was distracting at times was when the little white light goes off. The light tells me I'm in touch with somebody. But it would be better if it was a little less bright.

I live by myself and I had fallen a couple of times a year ago. One was pretty serious. I didn’t break any bones but I had an internal problem that I wasn’t aware of. When I landed in the hospital, they searched to see what the cause was and I had a gallbladder stone wedged in the duct that goes to the small intestine. There was no way I could have been aware of something like that and after that, I got the GreatCall Lively Mobile device. I try to wear it every day and it’s kind of a nuisance because you can’t wear a necklace or put one over, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. Plus I feel much more confident in being by myself because of one of its features that is so important. I can call if I hear somebody trying to break into the house or they can find me wherever I am. It’s not just for falling down or breaking a bone. But I can also fall and not even need to press the button. If I’m unconscious, they would know it and they would come.
One time, I was leaning over trying to brush up a cat hair from the laundry room and the longer I stayed in that position, the further down I went. All of a sudden, I was sitting on the floor. I tried everything but I couldn’t get myself off the floor. I tried the sink but it was too high to get any leverage. So I pressed Lively Mobile and called, and they came right away. I told them I was not hurt and that I just needed to get up. They asked me to sign something since I didn’t want to go to the hospital.
There was another time that I had the device in my coat pocket. I put it on the back of the chair and went outside to do something. All of a sudden, an ambulance came and they were ready with their kits. I was so embarrassed because I had no idea that I had accidentally pressed the button. But the people who responded were very polite and they told me that they were glad I was okay. I’ve recommended Lively Mobile to many people and two of them purchased one.

I’m a senior and I live alone and I’ve been thinking about a medical alert device for some time so I finally decided to do it. I dealt with the team at Lively Mobile a couple of times and made test calls to see if they could tell where I am but I’m not happy with the results. When I got the unit, part of the sign-up program was telling them addresses like where I live and different places. I tried it from my house and I assume that when they knew the area that I was in it was correct that time but if I was a few blocks away, I still wouldn't be in the area of the same cell phone tower and I don't think they'd know.
I also tried if they could locate me when I was parked on the main street right in front of the post office there in Grants Pass. I’m a snowbird and I go to Grants Pass in the summer. They first came up with a location of an intersection of two highways and it was about a mile and a half away from where I actually was. They asked me if I was there in the last couple of minutes and I said “No, I’m parked,” so then they started looking around the area of parking lots. “Were you in this parking lot or that parking lot,” and “No, I’m parked on the street in front of the post office," and they finally got into a point that was the parking lot that was right across the street from the post office. I practically guided them right through it and it boiled down that they couldn’t find me and even the parking lot across the street. If I had been unconscious in my vehicle they wouldn’t have found me.
I tried it a year later. I was out on the interstate highway and pulled over to a roadside rest. There was a cell tower right there at the rest which is why they were able to find the spot that I was in. I asked the person, “If I was 10 miles down the road somewhere, then you really wouldn’t know where I was,” and he said, “No.” I was expecting they could locate me better than that so I’m a little disappointed. It would have been quicker for me to dial 911 than it would be to call them. But I can see some circumstances where it would be beneficial and still kept the unit.

Our mother looked up Lively Mobile and it was the one that she wanted so we went with that one.
I have the app downloaded on my phone and it tells me when she leaves the house, when she comes home and everything she does in her building. The only time the device is being used outside of her building is when I pick her up and I don’t do that very often because I do all her shopping, or she goes with the seniors to one of their events outside the building. It's good to know that I could just hit the button and get help. It's okay but a lot of times I don't notice I have it on. Also, the battery doesn't last all day. If I put it on in the morning, by evening it's done. If I want to take a shower, it's charging, and usually, that's when I want to have it on. Nonetheless, I'm happy with my Lively Mobile. It's not very pretty though. I should have checked other things out there that looked a little better. I've seen pictures of some that looked more attractive. So, it's a good idea to have something but not necessarily this one. I'd tell others to check around.

I thought that if I had the Lively Mobile, it would have been handy. It gives me a little more confidence and I wouldn’t go out on the ice or snow without it. I feel comfortable on ice days with it. I don’t wear it absolutely every day or carry it but I probably should. If I’m going to be away from the house, I want to be sure I have it especially on inclement weather days. I wear it around my neck and it doesn’t take up so much room that I’m uncomfortable with it. It’s just handy to have.
To make me feel better, I test it occasionally and it has always tested out just right. They say, “Do you need anything?” and I would say, “No. This is just a test. I want to be sure. I wasn’t sure that it was charged up enough.” Also, I have one friend that has a medical alert device that will only go to the length of a football field and that’s it. I told her that I feel comfortable with mine because the GPS on it follows me wherever I am so I would feel comfortable taking it on a vacation. Some of the medical alert devices don’t have that advantage, and that makes a big difference.

The Lively Mobile is expensive though and there are several on the market that’s cheaper.
I still drive and go out every day off to my retirement place where I live. I wear it underneath my shirt and it’s comfortable. I had incident where I went to the doctor, and I had to take electrocardiogram and I had to take all of my clothes off above my waist. When I put my clothes back on, I just left the device there and then I got called to my doctor’s office. An hour later, they called me and said I left my alert device at the doctor’s office. So I had to drive back and get it.
Lively Mobile has this fall device wherein when I fall, it automatically alerts someone. When I was out in the front yard about six months ago, I looked straight up into a tree and fell backward right on my butt and that set it off. The minute I hit the ground, someone from the headquarters called. He wanted to know if everything was okay or what was the problem. They had a good response. I’m well-pleased with it.

My knees have just been operated on, and I fell down and I couldn’t get up. I had to roll all the way around the front of the house, so somebody could see me out there. A man came down the road and I waved at him, and then he got my son, my daughter and son-in-law to come and help me get up. So I got the Lively Mobile and I feel secure with it. I’m 88 years old and I don’t get out by myself very often, but I wear the Lively Mobile around my neck when I go somewhere. I don’t wear it at the house, but it’s right beside my bed. I’d recommend the Lively Mobile to anybody.

I feel somewhat secure when I have my Lively Mobile in my pocket. Once I had it in my pocket, I made a mistake and I got an answer from a nice male voice. I told them it was an error and I apologized. But I wish they would give me one for my wrist since they charged me all that money. When I first called Lively Mobile, I was told that what I would have to pay was just my fees for using it. I would not have to pay anything for installation. But I was charged on my Mastercard for over $100 and I didn’t like it. I tried to call but I never reached anybody. Some other companies keep calling me saying that they would give me one for the neck and one for the wrist, too, free of charge if I'd go with them. So I keep thinking about that and it’s for the same fees I’m paying.

I have passed out at my children's house one time. We got home and found out that I needed to have a cardiac cath and they said I have to have a medical alert device so we got one from Lively Mobile. This device helps my children feel a little bit more secure that I have extra people watching out for me. The rep from Lively Mobile who I spoke with has helped me a lot. And with this device, all I have to do is just press the power button and it will recharge. The only thing I have against it is the light keeps flashing. It flashes right through my clothes. If people are with me, they see the light flashing on my chest. They're a little bit concerned. I have tried putting it on backward so that the light is against my skin. But I've gotten used to it and I'm contented to wear it. I take it to the shower and I like it. I would definitely recommend Lively Mobile to my friends.

I figured that Lively Mobile was a good idea to have because I’ll never know when it might happen and I might not be at home. When I first set the medical alert device up I did a test. It was straightforward and simple to use. If I have an issue I just press the button and somebody comes to the rescue. It gives me a safe feeling to know that I have that at my disposal should I need it.

And it is going to be a little bit of a problem for me. But other than that, it’s good to have. My device makes things easier. I’m 85, I live alone and I’m not in a really good health. I used to have a different medical alert but it had too much equipment. It had a wristband and a neck thing but I still had to carry a GPS with me. So, I switched to Lively Mobile. And the alert that I have now is strictly a GPS and it’s chained around my neck. It’s just one thing. Shortly after I got it, before I even got the names of the contact people, I fainted and fell in the backyard. The neighbors helped me before and the response from Lively Mobile came in a matter of a few minutes. It was embarrassing when the alert went off accidentally, too, but the team was very nice about it.
A friend of mine had Lively Mobile and her kids got it for her. I wish I talked to them first because it cost quite a bit of money to get rid of the other one which I didn’t like. But if anybody is looking to get one of the alerts, I would recommend that they get the fall alert because it was set off a couple of times and even when I didn’t fall and I just jiggled it. So, it’s quite sensitive which is good.

I’ve been using Lively Mobile for about two years. I am blind and I live alone. I had also fallen before and I wanted somebody to come, lift and help me up. Neither of my kids lives very close, too, so they suggested I get a medical alert device in case something happens. I wear the device around my neck and it’s comfortable. My daughter comes up once a week or once every three months and she checks it. Their response time is mediocre though as it takes them around four rings. To me, that’s important. I’d rather it was quicker.

We had a working medical alert device but Mary thought it wasn’t working. Her stepdaughter sent the GreatCall Lively Mobile device to her, but it doesn’t seem to work. It has been knocked off of her nightstand numerous times and not once has Lively Mobile ever called or the fire department showed up. When she activated the other one accidentally, they called her back to check on her, but she was careful so it didn’t talk to her very often. But every time she made a mistake, they called her or the fire department showed up twice because she didn’t answer them. Although I am not happy about the GreatCall Lively personally, Mary’s happy with it so we're going to keep it.

But ever since I’ve gotten the device, I’m very happy that I haven’t fallen. Still, it’s a wonderful thing and it would have been there for me in case I fell. I wear it in a couple of different ways. I wear mostly jeans or slacks and I clip it onto the band and put a little chain around it and then throw a loop on my apparel. It seems to work fine and that way, I will not lose it if somebody knocks it off. One time, my grandson came and gave me a great big hug and he pushed the button, and Lively Mobile immediately responded. They were nice, too.

My neighbor has a medical alert device but she can't take it out of the house. So it's not as good as the GreatCall because GreatCall is based on the satellite and you can carry it around with you. When I found out I could go up to Walmart and get one, I did. I’m 77 and I got a pinched nerve. Since I've been having trouble with my back and leg lately, I feel a little more confident when I carry my GreatCall around with me. I have the GreatCall Splash but I have seen in the advertisements that they came out with a new device that looks a little different now.
Sometimes, when I'd lean up against an object and the pressure pushes the button by itself, I'd get somebody to answer right away. I'd tell them I'm sorry that I've accidentally pushed the button, but at least I knew it was working. I was also advised to push it from time to time to see if it's working. So I would push the button by myself, I would get to the operator, and their response time has been good.
Now and again, I would look at the thing and the little indicator in the middle that normally comes on and off so that you know the thing is working, would stop flashing and I would think it was dead. So I'd pick it up and shake it a little bit, then it suddenly starts working again. The person I called to ask about it suggested that I periodically shut the machine off. She told me to push the off button and hold it until it goes off, then to turn it back on again and hold the button until I get the automated voice response that the machine is on. Then she said that the device would be okay for awhile. I did that and it worked. But I still don't know exactly know what the problem is.
At night, I keep the device on the charger but once in a while I forget, so when I get up in the morning and find it in the living room by my chair, I don't put it on my pocket. If I don’t forget to charge it, I try in the morning when get up to take it off the charger and put it in my pocket or fasten it on with a lanyard then on to my shirt. But sometimes, that light would still quit working. So it's a little bit unpredictable when that would happen. Still, I would recommend GreatCall. In fact, I told my neighbor about it and she said she hadn’t bought one yet because her contract on the one she had hadn’t run out. But she told me when the contract runs out for that one, she wouldn’t renew it and she’d go out and buy a GreatCall.

I'm a retired medical social worker and I live independently. I go food shopping at the supermarket, go to the pharmacy, the bakery, and go to Macy’s once every six months. The Lively Mobile device was given to me a year ago. My sons and my husband decided that I needed to have something around my neck in case I wasn’t feeling well or I was in an emergency situation. I wear it around my neck and as soon as I wake up in the morning, it's right next to my bed on the nightstand. I put it on before I go out of the house but I also wear it in the house so that if I go downstairs to the basement and I fall, I have it on.
I’m very old-fashioned, cautious, and careful. I've learned the right way of using it, which is when I'm home. If I'm home, they have my number and that’s where I will talk to somebody. I don’t want them calling me on the phone when I'm driving. It's there because it's a safety precaution. I have three sons who are very protective of me and even if I didn’t want to use it, they would make me use it. This way, they feel I'm protected, and I feel the same way. I appreciate this device since it's there for me when I need it. It gives me a way of contacting whoever and whatever I would want to do. It gives me the privacy that I need and that it's ready, willing, and able to be that when I want it.

I'm 86 now and since my husband died, I am by myself. My family and I all felt I should get a medical alert system because I had fallen a couple of times. I got Lively Mobile when I was going to Florida last year and I have it for about a year now. I feel more independent with it, especially if I'd be going outside my house because if I would fall maybe no one would see me. There are certain times I would take it off when I'd be in the house, but most of the time, I would have it on and I feel more comfortable.
My device has a pretty long cord that hangs on my neck and shows when I wear something lower. If it was a chain or something else, that would be all right. But I understand it's that cord that lets them know that I’ve hit something. If it's around my neck and I happen to have an accident, it would go off and the GPS could find me. But I don't know if it would still work if I wear it anywhere else. It fell one night and their reps came right on and said they detected a fall. I picked it up and said that it just dropped out of my hand. But they were right there and were very alert. They were very nice, too. I've recommended Lively Mobile to quite a few people now. Because of me, my niece just bought a one yesterday and my neighbor is going to buy one as well.

I've got a medical thing going on which is affecting my balance. My wife passed in 2016, so I live alone. We were out without power for about six days and the only thing that worked were cellphones. It's good to know that the Lively Mobile device is there. I have had a couple of incidents with the automatic feature. I forgot that I had it on and went on to do some things that interpreted as me falling, when I wasn't. And it impressed me how quickly they were there. But during the first time, it was a little startling because I wasn't expecting it 'cause I didn't think I've done anything to set it off. It would be a lot easier if the automatic fall feature worked without being worn as a pendant but with a clip-on. In this day and age, smaller is better. Although it's small for what it does, reducing the size would be helpful either in the overall dimension or the thickness of it.
Another thing was that after the hurricane in September, I had to have the roof replaced on my house. They didn't replace it with shingles but with a metal roof which is better down here for resisting hurricanes. But it interferes with cellular signals. The battery started running down really quickly as well so I called customer service to inquire what was going on.
While I was on the phone with customer service, they were doing some remote tracking of the device and had me turning it off and on and while I was on the phone with the rep, they were trying to get in touch with me through the device and then trying to call me at the same time. I couldn't get switched over on the call waiting fast enough to talk to them. Then they called the emergency contact. But somehow, there was better connection between checking the unit out and having it registered that I fell down. I would definitely recommend Lively Mobile. In fact, I already did to my neighbor. They're starting to have medical issues themselves. However, they should offer an adaptor that I can plug in to the car to the charging station which was how I was able to keep my cellphone charged during the extended power outage.

My niece, who's a lawyer, is very nagging and she said that I should get a button. I'm 87 and she thinks that I'm going to fall eventually. I told her to research it and she came up with GreatCall Lively Mobile. One thing I don't like about Lively Mobile is the very short time before it's to be put back on charge on the battery. I put the button in at 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon and then it goes off with a ding dong or ding, ding, ding sound and powers off. Also, twice happened where the spring opens unexpectedly. They should make sure that the opening is on the side not on the top so it won't tend to open. Even more, I've accidentally seemed to have turned it off when I leaned against something and pressed the button without knowing. I was getting up from the table and then I heard their voice. The first time it happened was in booth at a restaurant and the voices suddenly talking to me got me very flustered.

The last time I called them for anything, the guy was very rude so I just got rid of them. I had all kinds of excuses not to get a medical alert device. But GreatCall was very inexpensive and does the same thing as the big high dollar ones do. The only problem I had with them is that I never know how much money they're taking out in my account. It's supposed to be $24 a month, but when I got my bank statement for last month, they had taken out $21. For the last three months, the amount was different than what I put in because they lowered it. So this time I didn't put anything and I would wait until I get my bank statement and then put it in.
The Lively reps were nice when they called me. However, the little thing with a button on it that they sent me wouldn't work. I sent that back to them and they sent me another one, and it was already programmed and ready to go. Other than that, they're really good. I have a little pillow beside me and I put this right on top of that. If I get up in the morning or during the night, I'll reach and get it. Then I'll put it on. I figured I wasn't sure if I'd be laying on it if it would hurt or what. It's been working okay for me. Since I've had the device, I have not fallen and I'm very careful about it.
I may have hit something wrong when I first got the device. But Lively called and it's very good. Sometimes they're checking it because they'll tell me that it got accidentally pushed. "Please push out if you don't want help." That's been three times this week. I was just wearing it and not doing anything. Then it came on. I figured it also goes with their manning of the condition of the device and how they're keeping track of each person that has one of these. I'm not worried about it and I figured it just goes with the territory.

I belong to the organization, Immanuel PACE, and they had given me a medical alert device but it only worked here in the apartment. And I found Lively Mobile at Wal-Mart and it’s good all over and I have had zero issues. I had to learn how to plug the little dog in at night because I need to hold them outright to get it to work. But I'm getting along fine with it now. I wear the device all of the time during the day but I don't leave it on at night. It is the most reasonable, all-inclusive medical alert system that I've ever seen and I'm very happy with it.

I’m 92 and I’ve taken some falls. That is why I got Lively Mobile. I once fractured a hip and I was just standing in line with my cane and down I went, and that alerted me that I needed to do something. Since I got the device, I have felt pretty good most of the time and felt safer too. The team I dealt with was great. They were here promptly and everything was fine. The only thing I don’t like about it is it has to be charged every night, which is kind of a pain. It’s above my bed, so I can reach it easily because I have to get it when I go to the bathroom at night -- I put it on every time I go. I’m satisfied for the most part. I have also told my friends why I got it and that it was convenient for me, and that they responded immediately when I called.

Hello Betty, The charge time is approximately 90 minutes. We do encourage customers to charge the device every night. The battery can be charged overnight (longer than 4 hours), without damaging the battery. If the concern is forgetting to pick up device when needing to use the restroom at night. It is perfectly fine to wear device while sleeping. However, you will need to charge device sometime during the day. Therefore, most customers will setup charging cradle by a TV stand or kitchen counter, where they can charge device during the day and have it in reach.

And then I got macular degeneration which caused my eyesight to be very limited. I have very low vision so I use Lively for that and I'm very satisfied with it. I tested it when I first got it and they responded right away. I don’t need it here in the house at this point, but I use it when I go out and it gives me a little more assurance that I have it because I am still unsteady on my feet. The only thing I didn’t like was that I ended up paying more for it than what I was told when I ordered it. Their reason was the taxes in Pennsylvania, which they never even mentioned when I got it. But I have recommended it to others.

Hello, Charolet. We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the Lively Mobile and we appreciate your feedback. And so, I decided that maybe it would be a good idea to have a medical alert device. I'd seen a commercial of Lively that you could go anywhere with it, and I'd always watched the guy that was on the commercial with his program. I trust him, so I figured it would be a good one to get.
I wear the Lively device every day. I get up in the morning and when I get dressed, it goes right on until I go to bed. One time, my granddaughter was over here and somehow, she ended up pushing the button. It went off and the reps were right on there. It took a little bit of doing to get it changed over from my husband having it to having my name on it, but it was settled in. However, they went up on their price since I took it out. I would like to know if that's going to happen all the time because it comes out of the daily funds that I have. I've been kind of pricing it with other ones. The only thing I really like about the Lively Mobile from GreatCall is that it's good no matter where I go. And the only thing I do not like about it is the cord that's on it. A lot of my friends have the medical alert device and they all have different brands and all kind of different plans, but the Lively Mobile was the most reasonable and very satisfying for the woman I know that also has this.
I wear the medical alert device primarily at night since. In the daytime, I’m active as I go to places. But if I fell in the backyard or if I’m out in the bushes pulling weeds, it would be a while before somebody found me. So, if I did something like that, I always make sure that I have the device on. I take it off every morning, put it on the charger, and put it on every night.
I have the one that I put on my neck and I wear that at night. Usually, I put it on after dinner and I wear it until I get up the next morning. I have it located charging in my kitchen which is a central area of my home. The device has a light that blinks all night and I wish that it had a button that I could turn it off. Also, I wish it was a bit lighter. The wristband might be better but the one I have was the most practical. She she knocked herself out and had to crawl back upstairs. My sister found out about Lively Mobile and she set it up for her. She still has it even after I came back and I'm with her almost 24/7 now.
One time, she had it hanging low around her neck while she was getting some coffee and she leaned up against the counter. Within seconds, I heard a man asking if my mom was okay and I asked her where that was coming from. It was muffled and the device was under her shirt. I didn't know what was going on and I thought the phone was off the hook at first. Also, she can't hear very well and she did not hear the gentleman who was trying to communicate with her. I didn't know how the device worked at that time and I thought it would simply send a signal then someone would send someone to the house. That happened twice as an accident. So I shortened the cord around her neck and it sits apart now in her waist. That's kept it out of the way and it would work but the only problem is she can't respond. But if she didn't respond, I know they would still send help.
Also, one night my sister called and said that she got a message saying that our mom was out of the house at 10:30 pm. Apparently, there's GPS tracking on the device. But my mom doesn’t go anywhere at night and neither do I. Other than that, Lively Mobile costs 30 bucks a month and I wish it was a little less expensive. But it's a good service and it's worth it. I can't really put a price on that.

I wear the Lively Mobile around my neck and I’ve got the magnetic coupling put together. The fall activation only works if I have it on the magnetic. I had a problem before with it not activating. They said that maybe I was wearing it wrong or it was under my clothes. When I have a seizure, I’m out through a good 30 minutes before I come back to life. The fall activation doesn't work if I wear it around my wrist or under my belt. Their directions should be changed, that it has to directly and specifically say that it has to be worn on the outside of the clothes. If I have an emergency, feel bad or have a heart attack, I can simply press the button and there's someone there instantly which is great.

However, the lanyard didn't work out for me very well. The medical alert device was heavy and the lanyard lost its magnetism and wasn't able to hold the device off. That's something they can work on. I've called them and had to get two new lanyards. I got the lanyard with little holes apart to where I can hook it on pants. It was a great experience and the customer service was fine.

I stopped using the other medical alert device and then after I fell, I got Lively Mobile. It said that you could use it and it doesn't get wet. I got it back on again today because I realized that I got to have it on every day. When I fell and I didn’t have it on, it took me about 45 minutes to get into my house. But once I got in the house, I used Lively Mobile and called the people. There was no delay time getting them on the phone. The lady I spoke to was nice and she stayed with me until they came.
Lively called the fire people, then the ambulance people. And they were able to give them my code to get in my house, which was good. It saved me from having to buy a new door because I have one of those metal bar doors. They didn't have to break in. They were here in about 10 minutes. That was the most valuable thing that I could ever have had and I feel good if I keep the alert on. I like that it beeps to remind me that I need to put it back on the charger. I made a little purse for it and I put it around my waist because I don't like them hanging around my neck.

I’m not fond of the actual Lively Mobile device and the cord that connects to it and I don’t wear it outside. The device is very bulky and I wish it had a different connecting cord that’s thinner and less obvious. I stick the device inside my bra because it’s so ugly that I don’t want to wear it the way it should be worn and when I’m with other people, I tend not to wear it. I see pictures of other pendants and they look much smaller. But the Lively Mobile device is easy to use and luckily, I haven’t used it much. It’s more a preventative type of thing, and my family wanted me to get it because when I’m up in Northern New York I'm in a very remote area. I have hit the Lively Mobile accidentally and when they say, “What’s your emergency?” I say, “There’s no emergency. I just hit it inadvertently.” They respond immediately because I’m between two locations. I’m here in Boca for eight months, and then I’m up North for four and it works at both places.

My son got the Lively Mobile for me and I have it for only two months. I had to use it when I fell back in August and it was something I had right at the right time. When I fell, I could't get up right away and I couldn't get to a cellphone or a regular phone. The ambulance was here in 10 minutes then the people that picked me up off the ground were two 80-year-old retired nurses, and I’ll never forget them. Lively Mobile is comfortable and easy to use for me. When charging, I just drop it on the charger and when it makes this one sound then I got it in there right. Overall, it was a very good experience and I have told some friends about it.

I have a heart condition and I'm in a wheelchair most of the time. I walk with a walker at home, but not always, and I didn't want to fall. The Lively Mobile device makes me feel a bit more secure because I've always got a phone right there. Only one time I pressed the button when I first got it because I want to see if it works. They came on and they asked if it was an emergency and I said that I was just checking. The device is really easy to use but it’s not really comfortable. It hangs around your neck and as I do a lot of sewing, it seems to be all the time in my way. But I deal with it because it's such a handy little gadget to have in case something would happen.
I only wish it had something on it that you could clip it to your clothes, rather than wear what looks like a shoelace around your neck. I can't put it in my pocket because I might press that button and it would be easier if I could hook it on a shirt or pants. I'm glad I got it because it gives me the feeling that if I have to be alone at home or if I am going somewhere, I don't have to depend on somebody else to get me help. All I have to do is press the button and they'll come on and ask me what I need. Lively Mobile gives me freedom.

I’m living here alone and I’m 80 years old. I had some problems and have had a leg operated. My family doesn’t want me here alone so my Lively Mobile is right here on the kitchen counter. It just sits there and blink and I have taken it out every month. If I go to any place, I pull it out so that if anything happens, if I trip or fell, I would be able to reach up over the counter. Initially, we were thinking about getting another kind but Lively Mobile was a little less expensive than that and the telephone was bigger. So when I saw Lively in the magazine, I got it. One time, when I was in the house, I accidentally hit the button and they kept calling me. I got the button, dropped it and I was trying to pick it up. It was a mess but it wasn’t because I was ill. I dropped the telephone because it was backward. Other than that, I would tell a friend about Lively Mobile.

Lively Mobile is the first medical alert service that I’ve used and I'm very satisfied. I have the type that you wear around your neck so it’s very convenient if I go out. Even in the house, I have it always with me because for my balance I use a walker. The kids were the ones that got the unit for me and they want me to carry it and have it out all the time, so I feel safe.
I lost it yesterday and that was my first experience with them tracking. I went earlier to Marc's in Strongsville, Ohio here and I must have dropped it when I took my wallet out of my purse and I didn't realize where it was until afternoon. I went through the whole house, the garage and my car and then I called Lively Mobile and immediately, the gal was very nice. She told me not to worry and they will track it down, and they did it very quickly. They tracked it immediately all the way to Marc's and we just got it there. It was amazing. My experience with Lively Mobile has been excellent and I'd recommend it to a friend.

I’m unsteady on my feet and I get dizzy so at some point in time I would fall. I’ve already been dealing with those issues for several years before I actually got around to buying the Lively Mobile device. I saw it as a new product and thought maybe it would be a good one. But I must’ve gotten into buying one of these things when the company was very new and I think they were having problems with the product. I was disappointed at first because the product wasn’t working properly.
At four o’clock in the morning I have it charged right next to my head on my side table then it started talking to me about Verizon Wireless so I called them as soon as I could get on the phone and talked to them about it. The rep said, “Ugh,” then he said he'll send me a new one. He didn’t even question anything else or ask me to return the item, which I did.
They took the device back and sent me a new one right away. They’ve been very gracious about the product in trying to make sure that it operated properly. But I had to change it four times before I got one that worked right. Eventually they’ve fixed whatever it was that was causing the problem and it’s worked really well. In fact. I fell and had to call them to come and get me.
I wear it around my neck but I’m not really happy about that because the shirts and clothing I wear doesn’t cover the cord. I don’t necessarily need to hide it but sometimes you’re going to a wedding and you got some nice clothes on and here you got the cord hanging around your neck so I wear it under my clothes all the time. Otherwise it flops around and I don’t like it flopping around. But I can push the button through my shirt so that’s not an issue for me.
It has this other little gizmo in the clasp that tells them if you fall. So if you drop this when you’re not wearing it they’re going to call you and send a team out to see you. That actually happened one time but I didn’t even know that then. I must’ve brushed it off the table when I stood up and my son came in and said that people were trying to get in my house. I realized then that it was because I had dropped it. It was on the floor and I didn’t have my hearing aids then. I don't know when it would start to talk to me once I fall either. They wanted me to say what was the matter but since I didn’t answer they sent a team. They've had a lot to chew on. I haven’t had it for a year yet. I got it in February and over a period of that many months all this has happened.

I have spoken with customer service several times and went thru the process to troubleshoot the device and restart my phone so the app would work but it never lasted. The technical group was also brought into the conversations and the answer was always, “We will send you out a new device or charger” just to have the same issue a few days later. I don't know what to do at this point and my last call this morning is being rerouted to a supervisor which could take 3 -5 business days. Grrr... My 87-year old mother has been a satisfied GreatCall subscriber for several years. She lost her Splash device about a year ago, and it was replaced with the Lively. She had trouble from the start with this device. It is much more difficult to use than her previous device -- probably because it has never worked properly. She has had trouble charging it, having it keep a charge and trouble using in an emergency. Up until recently, customer service has been good. However, my mother got locked out of the house two weeks ago and pressed the button on the GreatCall device for help. All she got was a recording from Verizon. Realizing there was something wrong because the device was not showing up on the app as "powered on and working," we called the GreatCall customer service number today for help.
We waited 30 minutes listening to the anxiety-inducing recording and finally gave up and called the emergency number. The emergency dispatcher was great! He determined that there was a problem with the device and he transferred us to a customer service representative, waiting with us for 20 minutes until someone could be reached. We were on the phone with the customer service rep for another 20 minutes. She was great, too! She also determined that there was a problem with the device and transferred us to tech support, waiting on the phone with us until someone was reached. The tech support rep answered the phone and said he was going to do some tests. We waited and waited and then discovered that there was no one there.
So, two hours later the Lively device will still not work in an emergency, and when we call customer support to start all over again, we could not reach anyone without going to the emergency operator. We cannot spend another two hours trying to get this fixed. If we get a satisfactory response after filing this complaint, I will update this review. But at this point, my advice to anyone who is considering purchasing a device and subscribing to great call: STAY AWAY. There are more reliable companies out there.

I can now get help with just a push of the button and my family feels better that I have it. They were worried about my being by myself, but I didn't want to move in with them. The device helps my family, including my younger grandchildren who were afraid to be near me, thinking that I might have another episode, because I had different things going on in six months. So, I showed my grandchildren how the device worked and that took care of the problem.
The alert device model that I had before, since September 2013, was amazingly good. It gave me support and courage and I didn't have to be afraid of being alone or going out for a walk because I felt safe. Then I decided to get the new model that’s waterproof and they sent one to me. My experience with this new model that can be found in the stores now was terrible. There were at least six units of the new model that were defective and the battery wouldn't charge. I was without any kind of alert coverage for months and nobody ever told me that it was the unit that was the problem, not only for me but for everyone else that had it. Finally, after many hours on the telephone and many problems, they sent me the old model called Splash.
With my Splash alert device, I always get terrific, instant service from the team at Lively Mobile when I push the button. So far, I've never needed emergency assistance but sometimes I called to be sure that they were there and they knew where I was, and I've always had a good response from them. I wear my Splash device to bed at night in case I have to get up because I've had friends who fell on their way to the bathroom at night. When I get up in the morning, I put the device in the charger and it does not take long to charge, which is a good thing. Then I wear it around my neck all the time. The new model alert device that I had before was useless because I couldn't depend on it at all. It was always dead and the battery wasn't charging. It was just junk and not worth a penny. I was so disappointed in it and I wouldn't have it in my house again.
On the other hand, my Great Call Splash alert device is terrific. I like that it's less expensive and it's also very easy to wear around the neck and even to sleep with. I feel bad that I recommended the new model to two of my friends and they got it, and they're now having the same problems as I did. I'm sorry that Lively Mobile has gone to the new model and I wish they would go back to the Splash so we can have more confidence in their alert device. I would recommend the Great Call Splash alert device and, in fact, I've already recommended it to quite a few people. Overall, my experience with my new model alert device was the worst it could be, while my experience with my Great Call Splash alert device has been the best it can be.

Four years ago, I had an episode of passing out and winding up on the supermarket floor. Combine that with the fact that I have atrial fibrillation, my son has convinced me that the Lively Mobile is a good thing to have especially after I lost my wife and I’m living alone. It has been fine with them. They're absolutely responsive.
I got this medical alert device because it’s unobtrusive, so it’s not something to think about all the time. It’s nice to know that if I have to get a hold of somebody, I can do that. One of the advantages they have pointed out is that it doesn't have to be a medical emergency to press the button. If I feel uncomfortable in an area where it’s late at night and I have a feeling that somebody is following me on the way to my car or the garage, I can press the button as well and they’ll stay with me while everything is being recorded.
Early on, I had concerns about the battery life of my Lively Mobile unit, and I had extensive discussions with the technical service, which then evolved into having personal conversations with their vice president of technology. The reality is that the fall detection software and hardware eat up more battery. To remedy that, he’d come to me on two extra charges that I can keep it plugged in there while I’m working on my PC sometimes or having an evening with the TV and another one in the car, and that’s been quite satisfactory. Their lanyard that I wear with this device has the design that the cross cord comes out of the metal thing after two years. I’ve had it replaced twice at no charge almost instantly. I’ve learned to handle the device without pulling the cord but rather by opening the magnetic hatch.
They have recommended that I press the button and talk to a rep every several weeks or so, just to make sure that everything’s working fine and I’ve done that. Everything else is certainly worth recommending. One of my concerns was the cell phone coverage, but I have been in all kinds of remote areas and have occasionally checked to see if Lively Mobile is indeed able to get me a signal, and it’s never been anything but 100%. Based out of the extensive research that I did before choosing the Lively Mobile over others that are advertising, I made the right choice.

When I purchased with a 30 day return period, I did all sorts of things to test their service for fall detection, dead battery, testing the call response time for emergencies, their ease of communication, etc. It's wonderful, and add the smart phone app for weekly activities, travel, etc. The service cost her less than her home and cell phones.

I am 79 and I live alone in a two-story house. I thought it would be prudent to have something available to me in case I had an accident or a mishap. I had a different brand of medical alert device for about a year. What I did not like about it was that I had a base unit connected near the telephone, and if I accidentally pressed the button, which I had done many times, I had to go upstairs to cancel the call. And to me, that is just not necessary. Also, I was paying about $140 every three months, which, for what I had, was unnecessarily high too!
I had talked to someone I know and found out that they had the GreatCall service, and all they had was a necklace that had GPS capability. I thought to myself that I do not really need anything more than that. What I had did not have GPS - if it did, I was not aware of it. I have a necklace from Lively Mobile now, and it is very convenient and very comfortable. Also, if I accidentally pressed the button, I do not have to go upstairs to cancel the call anymore.

My Mom was sent a new device "Lively." It has not worked right since it has been received.
After three calls with Tech Support they sent a new device advising the "Lively" was not operating properly. New device came. Same problems. Received no updates on her locations. Now, I feel a little more comfortable leaving her at night. She's on the other end of the house from us and if she fell or something happened, we would know about it. Every time we contacted customer service, it was by accident but they've been great.
There've been several times when she's accidentally triggered it. And she can't hear well, so when people at Lively Mobile would talk to her on the speaker, she doesn't hear them. The biggest problem is remembering to charge the device and then remembering to put it back on after it's been charged. But overall, Lively Mobile has been great and convenient.

I'm almost 80 years old. My health has been good but it's harder to get around and easier to fall. So one of my daughters investigated Lively Mobile. She liked the qualities and she felt it was a good one to start with. When I'm alone, I'm vulnerable to falls and break-ins, to all things that anybody can experience especially when people get older. There's security knowing that I can push a button and at least hear a voice on the other end. If I have to call somebody on my cell phone, they might not answer right away, but with my Lively device, they're supposed to.
But I had a slight problem the other night. The device turned off without doing the one thing that it does before it powers down. I called Lively and they did some kind of rebooting with the computer over the telephone and sent me on my way. Hopefully, it won't do it again because when people are depending on something, there's supposed to be a warning if the battery is getting low. It has done it in the past because I didn't know how long the charge would last or how long it took to fully charge. That's something I learned through experience once I got the device. I had other times when I had it on an extended time. It gives off a warning signal for two hours before it dies.
I don't like to wear the device to church because it blinks but I turn it back to so that the blinking is up against my chest. I also have the fall device, which is not smart to take off and put on, take off, and put on. It won't work if I don't have it around my neck. The call device doesn't go off if I fall down. I know a friend of mine who has it and it's just good for her in her house. She decided that's not sufficient for her, so she may be looking into other ones. I told her that I like my device and I'm happy with it so she may call Lively.

When it arrived, there was a very clear notice that it won't work farther than four feet away from the door of my apartment. So the device went back since it didn’t take care of me and that’s when I insisted to my daughters that we try Lively Mobile.

I keep the place where I plug it in right next to my bed and I leave it in the recharge for an extra hour or two because I had one experience where it had not been charged adequately. Overall, I'm pleased with the device and if anyone were to ask me, this is the device to go to because I feel safe and comfortable wherever I am when I'm wearing it.

The unit works wonderfully as long as he stays in his room but is unreliable when he leaves. Defeats the purpose of having the unit. After an hour he was located and not by Great Call/Lively/5Star. Disappointed.

Patricia, we are sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with the Link application reporting and we appreciate your feedback. GreatCall’s 5Star Urgent Response team uses patented GPS technology, advanced location training and the “frequent locations” information provided in the Personal Profile to determine where a user is when the device is used. The accuracy of GPS technology or the ability to provide a location can vary depending on the environment the device is in. GPS is most accurate when a user is outdoors with an unobstructed view of the sky. The Lively Mobile also uses network Assisted GPS to locate you indoors and is capable of reporting its “last known” locations when conditions are not ideal. Our agents are trained to verify the user’s location by utilizing the “frequent location” information contained in the Personal Profile, and by asking the user for location identifying information, rather than relying on GPS technology alone. The GreatCall Link Application service, reports information to a loved one’s smartphone and updates every 20 minutes. However, the signal strength of the device and/or of the smartphone, can affect the reporting of information. Even in a good coverage area, things such as weather, topography and other environmental considerations associated with radio technology also affect service and service may vary significantly.

I live on the sixth floor and with Lively Mobile, I can go out the door, into the elevator and downstairs to the mailbox. It knows where I'm at which is creepy, but it’s nice, especially for people with dementia. A neighbor’s father had dementia and oftentimes they couldn’t find him when he’d be walking down the block. Now, they could find him.
The device is super helpful. I put it on when I go down the hall or when I take a shower. I don’t wear it to bed but it is generally within easy reach. Fortunately, I'm not that disabled, so that I can lean across and get something. I had evidently put a clip on the back of my device. The clip pulled out but it was in pieces, so I had to call Lively but for some reason, the proper number to contact disappeared on my telephone. So I called another number and told them it's not an emergency because they're really nice about wanting to check right away. The rep made sure I have the phone number, and I requested for a new one which they sent right away.
I'm very anti-technology. I sold online services but everything was DOS, not Windows. My telephone is made for placing calls and I take pictures with the camera, not with the telephone. However, I appreciate the fact that I can use this device. I'm a chaplain to the MS patients and I have mentioned Lively to other people that have MS. I have two elderly parents, my Dad is nearly 83 and my Mom is 80 and suffers from MS. In an attempt to make life a bit easier for both of them my Dad thought new cell phones specifically made for senior citizens with vision/hearing and manual dexterity issues would be a great idea. GreatCall is not the answer. Perhaps for high functioning seniors in their mid to late sixties with slight hearing and or vision problems, GreatCall may be passable. For anyone (senior or otherwise) who suffers from vision loss (glaucoma, macular degeneration), hearing loss, and severe loss of manual dexterity these phones are no better (and sometimes worse) than any other smart phone on the market.
To begin, the speaker is no better and no louder than any other typical smart phone speaker, it will offer no help with hearing difficulties. The screen is larger than some smart phones so this may be one small advantage with vision difficulties. There are no added features for anyone suffering from manual dexterity issues such as MS or arthritis, the phones are ultra sensitive and make errors in dialing, and usage happen often. The phone's program often redials the last number called, randomly switches from various apps without any input and phases in and out seemingly at its own will. Basically, these are cheap versions of any smart phone on the market falsely claiming to be specifically made with senior citizens in mind.
On a side note, I understand the customer service representatives looking out for seniors by verifying someone speaking for them on the phone. If that were for any issue to do with their finances - subjecting grown "children" of elderly parents in their 30's, 40's and 50's is idiotic and humiliating. Each time you speak with customer service they will need "verification" to allow you to speak for your parent. This is false concern hoping they won't have to speak with someone who won't be fooled by their assurances of how wonderful these phones are for elderly users. Not worth the time, money or effort.

Aliester, we are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the Jitterbug Smart phones your parents purchased and we appreciate your feedback. GreatCall designed the easy to use menu and icons to help customers become acclimated with the use of a smartphone. We made it bigger than most so it is easier to see and the speaker does have the highest hearing aid compatibility of MT/4T, but it is sensitive, like other smartphones. GreatCall does have the Jitterbug Flip phone that does not have a touch screen and may be easier to use, however, it also does not have internet access. If you are calling our Customer Service to trouble shoot your parents phones, once the agent verifies they are viewing the proper account and phone information, they would be able to assist you, however, they would not be able to speak of any account details. If you have any questions or require further assistance, our 100% U.S. based Customer Service, 1 800-733-6632, is available between the hours of 6am and 7pm Pacific Time, Monday - Saturday.

I'm alone and sometimes I feel like I need some things that would help me to contact somebody if I couldn't get to my phone or if I couldn't dial 911. Also, I'm out a lot. I do a lot of running and I go to church. I have had a lot of people ask me about Lively Mobile and I told them not only is it for when I have a problem but if I get lost and I need to know where I'm at, I can ask them for help. Being my age, I don't always know. I'm doing better Googling stuff on the phone and checking the maps but there are times that I don't get everything right on my phone. I came back from Texas in the spring and if I had gotten lost, I knew I could press the button and somebody would be able to help me.
Also, everything was fine with their team and they answered all my questions. Sometimes, though, I really don't like to have to wear it because I can't wear my jewelry. But there have been a few times that I've taken it off and put on a necklace like when I knew I was going to be at the church where people would be able to help me if I needed help. Otherwise, I pretty much wear it all the time. It's a part of me now and I'd recommend it to anybody that gives me a chance. Everything has been satisfactory.

I live alone and my children thought I should have a medical alert device. I got one from Lively Mobile and I make sure that I wear it all the time. It's handy to have and I wear mine around my neck. I just put it on in the morning, then I don't pay any attention to it anymore. People at Lively were fine too. The only issue I have with the device is that sometimes at around 5:00 PM, it starts making a noise and showing the red dot, indicating that it needs to be charged, and I don't know why it's doing it so early. What I've been doing is while I'm getting ready for bed early at about 6:00 PM so I can watch my television program, I put it in the receptacle and let it charge. Then it lasts until I go to bed at about 10:00 PM. I also have one problem that I can't figure out and it's driving me nuts. The monthly charge is on my statement from the bank, which is fine, except that I don't know why I've got a monthly charge without a date there.

I was researching the Jitterbug Smartphone as a Father's Day gift. I found a special offer on the Great Call website for $112.99. After several minutes of sales conversation, they offered me the phone for its regular price of $149.99. They did honor the online price when I challenged. Having the number ported over was delayed by incorrect action on part of Great Call. Two long phones calls. On day I set up service, there was a special of unlimited talk and text for 29.99, which I asked to have for the account. Representative was not aware of the offer, looked it up, confirmed it and changed the account plan. Received bill for the plan at the regular price of 49.99 plus tax.
As I attempted to call and speak to someone, they would not speak directly to me, although my father had authorized me on day we set up phone. I had him call in to authorize me, they told him they had to email a pin number which I could use to call in. They did not send the pin number. He has made 2 calls so far and does not have wifi where he is on vacation so he has to make a trip into town each time to check for the email. Each call is a MINIMUM of 20 minutes. This is supposed to be a service for seniors. If I did not research or check website, I would have paid more for the phone and the plan has yet to be resolved. They make each step the process long and difficult. How does that benefit a generation that is not always that familiar with technology? To me it's borderline deception. BEWARE OF GREAT CALL. But the jitterbug smart is a terrific phone. Just the instruction book makes it the best deal out there for seniors.

I'm 86 years old. My husband has passed away, too, and I live alone. I fell and broke my hip, and have had pneumonia. I'm an old retired R.N., I know that other medical alert devices do not work for old people as you have to be close to the phone. My daughter found Lively Mobile. Their team gave very good service. When I fell and fractured my hip, they were here in minutes. When I get up in the morning, I put the device on and when I go back to bed at night, I set it on the charger which is right next to my head. I feel safer since I've had the Lively Mobile and my daughter feels safer for me. The other day, she couldn't find me and she notified them. Then, the Lively Mobile team notified the state police and they came and checked on me. I was just sitting out on my deck because it was a beautiful night. Having Lively Mobile is as good as it gets. Their price is reasonable too.

My mom falls a lot and my worst experience was when I took her to the casino. We're walking to the car and she got kind of wobbly. When we got to the car, she crashed to the ground. I punched the button in her Lively Mobile device and they were right there. They asked me questions as to what's needed and that if help is needed right away, they have help right here. Other than that, they're right on top of it because we live a block from the fire department. But that was the first experience of having to use it away from home and 15 minutes the ambulance was there. I love it. We’ve tried other medical alert devices, but this one is the best.
If we need help when we're away from home, like the incident out at the casino, help was instantaneous. But the other devices only work within the home. It makes me feel better that she has it. We bought it at Walmart and my mom’s girlfriend got it set up for us. Not too long ago we updated it to where it had the false alert on it. We're very grateful for it and I've recommended it to several people. It’s a lifesaver.

I’ve had a Lively Mobile device for around a year now and it’s been very satisfactory, so far. My children said I need it because I live alone. I wear it every day. One time I was down in the basement and I was working on different things, and I thought I’d better find out if the device works down in the basement. I pushed the button and a man came on and said, “Well, it must be working because we’re talking.” And then there was another time when I had the Lively Mobile in my breast pocket. While I was cutting some binder twine, I hit my chest hard and within less than a second, the voice came on and said, “Are you all right?” My next-door neighbor also got a Lively Mobile device because I said it seems to work for me. I just wish it was smaller. Other than that, I carry it in a pocket.

The grandkids set up Lively Mobile for my husband as a precaution. This way, if I were outside mowing the lawn and my husband were inside and fell or slid down, he would have it around his neck and he would be able to get help. Besides, I won't be able to pick him up. So far, my husband has used it five times. One time, he was just hovering around but then he went out too far. He got stuck and he had to call for help too. However, they have to ask him whether he's hurt or bleeding and he gets irritated at that. He knows that he fell but he's not hurt, but they don't know that. We just explain to him that he has to explain the situation a little bit so they know whether to send an ambulance or a person.
Lively Mobile has been around a long time and I've heard other people have used them, enjoyed them and felt secure having that right there at their fingertips. I appreciate Lively Mobile. He feels more secure now and I'm glad he has it because I can't stay in the house. I have to do the outside work too so it's a security blanket. Now, I have as much freedom as he does.

I've had back surgery and massive heart attacks. I also have problems with my bladder and kidney infections so it's causing me to be unsteady on my feet. I didn't want a land phone in the house and my previous provider mailed me an alert system but they got "Place" on the address instead of "Street" so the package went back to FedEx. I called my provider and told them they can't charge me for it as I didn't have it. So they checked it out and found out that it was with FedEx. They told me it would be delivered the next day. Their rep also told me she'll send me one overnight. FedEx delivered the one they had that same day, so I had two. I boxed one up but they kept charging me two charges every month and I kept calling every month. They kept saying they'd take care of it and it won't happen again but it just kept happening. So finally, I said, "The hell with it. I'm cancelling it."
I switched to Lively and everything's cool with them. I've used it once and it came in handy. I kind of slid to the floor and couldn't get up. I called Lively and they sent out the fire department. Their response wasn't very long and the rep stayed on the phone with me all the time. I told her, "They're here. It's okay" and she said, "Well, I have another call. Are you sure of it?" I told her yes so then she hung up. It's been a very good experience with Lively. I hang the device around my neck and I use it when getting to rest and during the day. I haven't had any problems and everything was taken cared of the one time that I used it.

I have MS and I used to be in an independent facility. The management team used to live in a building in the facility but the company decided to move them out. Everyone was outraged because then there was nobody there so they got everyone the GreatCall device. I had three portable phones so they were always with me but they're not really conducive if you fall. I looked around and people were happy with GreatCall and I had it for about seven years but then I had to return that 'cause we didn't pay for it and now I'm back in with my kids. However, they are at work everyday and their kids are in school. Being alone in the house, it's easier that I have a medical alert device in case I fall 'cause I can't get up anymore by myself.
I haven't had to use the Lively Mobile device but I would put it on. When everyone's home, I don't wear it and I just keep it charging. The only thing about it that drives me crazy is the control. It's a good-sized piece and it has a button that's lit and it blinks. When I wear it, it drives me crazy 'cause I can see it. So, I turn it around, but I had company one night and they were joking and they said it was like a heartbeat. They were laughing 'cause they couldn't figure out why I was lighting up. It lets me know that it's working, but it's very annoying when I'm wearing it. It's not even a steady one. It just blinks.
I'm not sure if there's another way or maybe it doesn't bother anyone else. But before with the other company, you could test it once a week or once a month. You could push the button and someone in the other line would answer it. That way, you'd know it's working rather than have this light blinking. It also lights up when it's charging in my room so I have to cover it up because at night, all I see is the light.
Also, some companies have the necklace and a bracelet but Lively Mobile didn't have the wristband and it's just the necklace. Other than those, I like the idea that if I went somewhere even with the kids, we were separated and anything happened, I would have it. Not that I go too many places lately, but that's neat because before, you could only use it in your house.
Another thing I like that the other one didn't have is the fall detection. I'd pay for that feature and years ago a lot of them didn't have that. A lot of my friends at the independent facility did not get the fall detection, but then they walk and some of them still drive. I have legs that don't like me much, and I'm really slow and so cautious about how I walk. Usually if you fall, you are able to push a button but if something happens, you really get sick and you can't push the button, it will detect it. So that's one of its good features. And as long as I don't have to use it, I'm very pleased. I'd even recommend it to a friend.

I've tried putting the device on my belt and it fell off a couple of times. I thought that might not be a good place to put it. I just do regular body movement, like sitting up and getting down, and it moves that little plug about and it eases up. Now I wear it around my neck and it seems to stay pretty good. When I go to bed at night, I put it on my night stand next to me and charge it. It's always close by at least, if not on me. But then as soon as I get up, I put it on and I try not to forget. I just got used to the new habits.
It's nice to have and knowing that it can help out anywhere with the GPS feature is nice. In years past, and not too long ago, the medical alert devices didn't have a GPS feature and it was only good within the home, which didn't do a lot of good. I definitely recommend it. Just like having insurance, I hope I don't have to use it. But there might be a time, if I should fall or have unexpected chest pains, I'll have someone to help me.

I am in an independent senior retirement center. They used to provide us with a little thing that we could walk around with, and the staff doesn't come over the weekend, and so, that was a comfort to me. So, I got the Lively Mobile because I live alone and our staff isn't here over the weekend. It's comforting to know that if I need help, I can just reach down and punch my button. I wear slacks and so I pin the device right above my pocket. That way, I can carry it around. It's hooked up to a telephone.
However, one thing I'm unhappy about it was that it doesn't work in our garage, which I was most disappointed in because we don't have cellphone help down there. Several ladies have passed away there and they're just found accidentally or there's nobody's nearby. I also wish that I didn't have to pay so much. But then since having it, I felt independent and confident. It's a reputable company and sometimes I thought I didn't really need to pay extra money to be able to have a nurse diagnose.

I'm 85 years old, I live by myself, and my kids wanted me to have a medical alert so I got Lively Mobile. I have it in my pocket and it's easy to use and convenient. Then I accidentally set it off. I held it down and it was 911, so that was first off as a mistake. I kept on and told them I'm okay and I just hit the wrong thing. They still kept on and asked if I was sure, and I said yes. Since I've had it, the kids worry less. It's been good so far. I just got a phone call the other day about getting one for nothing and that they were going to mail to me. I said I already have one so I don't know what the heck that deal was.
