Echoing many other people on here, I was rear ended by a person who has a policy through American Access Casualty. I called the agency that issued the policy and was told to call the company, which I did. After being on hold for over ten minutes, and explaining what happened, I was told 'hang on a minute' and I heard the phone begin ringing again. Great, they're going to transfer me to another person that I'll have to re explain the whole situation to... nope. They transferred me to the same girl at the insurance agency that I had talked to initially, who again said it's up the company to handle the claim. I don't have time to mess with this company, I'll go to Small Claims on the driver and let her duke it out with her faux insurance company.

I am dealing with an accident caused by this insurance company's driver and they are FAR from helpful during the whole process. Their driver hit me and I am the one that has been majorly inconvenienced because their claims adjuster doesn't want to offer his assistance. It has been like pulling teeth trying to get them to cooperate and do the right thing because let's not forget, they are the ones who insured this person who hit me. The damage on my vehicle is so significant that I will be out of a vehicle for 5 days while it is being fixed; they only offer a rate of $20.99/day for a rental and it has to be through Hertz.

I hope the auto shop you go to is within distance of a Hertz or it's going to be even more of a hassle. The claims adjuster first offered to set up my reservation for me then changed his tune by telling me I need to make the reservation, which is a prime example of how UNHELPFUL this company is and how lazy their claims adjusters are. The sad part is you have no control over the insurance company another driver goes through, I just hope if you ever are involved in car accident that you don't get stuck dealing with this insurance company. Overall, terrible experience; they should be ashamed of themselves for making it even harder on someone who was not at fault but their driver was.

I was in a flood so I called to make a claim and they came and towed my car to a scrap yard to see if it was repairable (I thought that was odd). I had to keep calling them to get an update, they finally told me it's going to be considered a total loss. I keep calling the insurance company to see what's going to happen now and I'm getting the runaround, no one will answer the phone. I keep leaving voice messages and don't get a call back. I finally got through to someone and they told me everyone has left for the weekend so my option is to be transferred to a voice mailbox and leave a message and someone will call me back within 48 hours. I'm so upset, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

After being rear ended while at a red light with a police officer in front of me and filed the report and the insured taking full liability, it still took well over a week and a half for the claims department to finally return my phone calls. I got the runaround about a claims adjuster notifying me with 24-48 hrs (which seems to be the norm for this disgusting company). I called once again which I lost count of and was extremely surprised to actually talk to a person. I threatened with a lawsuit and it still took an additional week for him to contact us.

After 3 days I received his appraisal of the damage and it was a joke. $230 in damages! My rear bumper was barely hanging on, lights broken, dual exhaust separated from muffler (that was just the damage I could visually see and didn't include if any structural damage to the frame or under carriage) and this clown said I would be responsible for any other amount, plus was directed to take it to only their recommended repair facility. After reading the comments about this company on here, I've decided to file a claim with my insurance and let them sue this despicable excuse for an insurance company!

While sitting at a red light my car was rear-ended by a driver insured by American Access Casualty Company. American Access Casualty refuses to return calls, and on the rare occasions when I actually get someone to answer their response is that they cannot move forward with the claim until they get a statement from their insured. Based on the online complaints about this firm this appears to be how they routinely deny responsibility for damages. I'll be filing a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance, BBB, and anyone else I can to that hopefully this firm can be dealt with accordingly.

I had to email and call over and over again, just to get an appointment to know which body shop to take it to. The agent Sandra **, was on vacation, so no one else can do her job while she is gone? She gets back and was not very nice on the phone, gave me the runaround. After reading all the paperwork I send, she finally tells, "Yes. You do have everything we need." Got hit by a guy who had this insurance. Took it to the body shop they told me to. The claim rotted on the adjuster's desk about two weeks so they said they would pay all car rental charges. This was a relatively simple repair which took a month to complete. When I took car back to rental agency I got a claim ticket for reimbursement from AAC. I faxed the claim ticket to ACC 3 weeks ago. Surprise-no check yet. So now I am contacting Texas Dept. of Insurance to "put the dogs on 'em". Oh and the last time they answered their phone or called me back Jesus was in the 3rd grade!

It is sad that we work hard for our things so someone else can come and ruin them. Then not be held responsible. It is sad that these type of insurance companies exist.

I had an accident. My fault and I had nonowners ins. I was driving my mother's car with her in the car because I was taking her to a minor emergency because she wasn't feeling well enough to drive. So the insurance denied the claim because it was my mother's car. Now this is the clause for their denial of coverage "p. “Non-owned automobile” means a private passenger farm, or utility automobile not owned by, or furnished for the “regular use” of “you”, a “family member” or “resident relative”, other than a “temporary substitute automobile”, while said automobile is in “your” possession or custody.

Now I contend that the sentence after "other than" should verify my claim. Temporary substitute. I was only driving her car because I couldn't drive her on my motorcycle. She is 75 yrs old. In any case they won't even consider that they might be wrong. Also they were rude and very short with me and now I have to come out of pocket for mother's car and the vehicle I hit. They are the sorriest company out there but I'M stuck till my policy runs out. Never ever go with a company until you research thoroughly. Thanks.

I got into an accident with one of their customers on Sept of 2017. They ran a red light and turned in front of me. I turned the wheel to avoid them and got on the median, which ruined the tire and forced me to turned back on the road, hitting my front right of the car on theirs. The damage is not significant and I could barely feel there was even contact, but sure was small indentation. She apologized because she was teaching someone to drive, and gave me her insurance card (I took pictures of it). I filed claim with American access and after a couple hours on the phone, more than once, I finally got someone who initiated the claim and asked me to submit pictures of the damage (which I did).

I received a call about a week later from the adjuster Jorge (george) ** asking to call him back to ask questions. I must have called 25 times, and every time it went straight to his voicemail, but he wouldn't return the call. On Nov 16 he called again during work hours, and of course I missed the call being at work. In his message he stated that the insured left him a message denying feeling guilty and that she said there was no contact between cars, but that he would contact her again to ask her for clarification. It is now March 21st 2018, and I have called the adjuster over 20 times asking for an update and I have not heard anything since the November call. I have contacted AA and they gave me the supervisor's name. I have called her and left messages 3 times with no response.

At this point, I don't know what to do other than keep calling and complaining, but considering the length of time, I would be surprise if they resolve the issue at all. They will likely just say they won't pay because their insured said it wasn't her fault. Even though, why would she give me her insurance card if she did not feel at fault?

I obtained insurance from your Crowel Agency, which was American Access Casualty Company, in 2015 under myself as the policyholder; however, following that some errors were made on Crowel's part. The first mistake was that the insured name was listed incorrectly as Jacob ** instead of Jacob **. Another error was the birthdate of Jacob. His date of birth is 6/15/85 but up until a couple weeks back you had his birthday as 11/20/85, which is my (Lauren **) birthday. Then, back in February you they had me to sign an exclusion form prohibiting my husband from driving my car even though he is my husband of five years. The agent I was working with said it was because I was the primary driver and he wouldn’t be driving my car full time and thus didn’t require it. I never understood this but put my trust into Crowel since their business is insurance.

On November 20th, I called to inquire about windshield insurance and to make sure my husband was indeed covered in addition to updating my credit card information. My conversation with that agent lasted approximately 14 minutes, of which I have verified with my call log. On December 2nd, Jacob was involved in an accident that still remains unclear as to whose fault it is. It took over a week and a half for someone to come out and review the damage to my car which was indeed totaled. It was only at this point that I discovered that Jacob was not put back on my insurance despite my November 20th request.

Then, I spoke with Stephanie ** from American Access in the claims department who inquired if my premium had gone up following my request. However, at that time I had yet to receive the bill notice and thus could not answer. She then told me that if it had not gone up, it would just be a matter of a back payment. To rectify the situation. She also said she would investigate that agent’s mistake and look into notes and/or phone call logs. After waiting patiently without any response, I contacted Crowel directly and spoke with Pam, the manager, to discuss all the errors that had taken place and to see if they had proof of updated information I had given them on November 20th. Pam said she had no record of any call or notes since they do not record calls and or take a simple note as to why a client would call.

This then prompted me to check my call log to see if I could prove a call was made, which it was. I then received a letter signed by Stephanie ** stating that an investigation was still taking place and that coverage may or may not be denied, decision pending. Since the letter stated to contact Stephanie directly with any questions, I called her to obtain more information. Disappointingly, I was spoken to extremely rudely and treated unprofessionally. Subsequently, I talked to another representative whose name is Norita from American Access‘s customer service. I told her how unhappy I was with Ms. ** attitude on the phone. She was kind and patient and told me she would get in contact with the underwriter to see if they could resolve this. I have yet to hear from her, but understand that the holidays are a busy time of year.

As of, 12/28/2017, the other insurance company involved in this claim (State Farm Ins) has yet to hear from anyone from my insurance company. Reading reviews on Google and Yelp, I see that other customers have also had issues with representative errors and alarming lack of proper documentation including call logs by Crowel Agency. In two days it will be a month from the accident and I am still waiting on calls and/or some type of letter stating what is the status of this situation. I am appalled on how a paying customer of 2 years is treated and how horrible I have been treated by both companies.

He received tickets for no drivers license and failure to control speed (causing accident). I told American Access Casualty the car was paid off and had NO LIEN, however they took it upon themselves to make the check out to me and NMAC who was the former lien holder. It has been a NIGHTMARE trying to get them to understand the check should only be in my name. Also, they gave me a list of companies that would "repair" my car, but I had work done at the first one they recommended (MAACO) and their work was absolutely horrible.

Two companies, Caliber Collision and LMC, where I had work done on my daughter's cars would not work on the car unless I paid for it myself because the insurance company was American Access. They told me that American Access is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to work with and that wanted no part of them anymore... Pay them myself and keep the check. I am returning the check with a copy of the car title and the release of lien letter from NMAC hoping that someone there has enough common sense to figure out there is no lien on the car and will send me a check in my name.

Last, but not least, calling American Access is a real BIG PAIN IN THE ASS. All I ever got was recordings that told me it was after hours (it wasn't) or the person was away from their office, in a meeting or helping another customer. But, the "only" person I was able to connect with was in Customer Service (a term I am now using loosely) who transferred me to another person in claims, but I was disconnected in the process of being transferred. I should have known, huh.

Tried calling of which all the rep just disconnected calls or ask to put me on hold and hang up, so finally I tried to pay online of which told me to contact customer service of which I did.

Today 8/30/2017 spoke to a very rude and ** person who asked for my policy number and just straight out front told me, "we No longer do business with your agency so for that reason your insurance has been cancelled you need to go else where and purchase a new policy thru someone else???" I asked her, "what about my Reinstatement Fee I paid?" She said, "what about it? You were covered for 30 days," I said, "so if your employees knew off hand your company was no longer gonna do business with my agency then why wasn't I told before they took my money?" She said," I don't know I'm not them. I am me and I'm telling you that you No longer are covered thru American Access Casualty. I was recently struck by a teen driver, driving alone on his learners permit that was insured by American Access Casualty Company. At first it did not seem bad. They sent an adjuster to my home as the vehicle was not drivable. They confirmed it was not safe to drive. After this there was not a word from them. I tried calling but with long waits on hold and no response when leaving a message with the agent.

3 weeks later I got a letter in the mail with some paperwork that needed filled out, however the paperwork was not included. Just the letter. So I call again. After an hour and a half wait I finally get a hold of the adjusted. She says she will email the paperwork. I then ask her what the update was from the adjuster. She says it looks like there is a total loss but there is a problem. I ask what the problem was and she keeps changing the subject and dancing around it until she finally says the individual driving was not insured under the coverage but it is still under investigation and can take up to 30 days. I then ask what am I going to do about a car. It has already been 3 weeks. She just keeps repeating to call my insurance and ask for advise to everything I say.

I hang up and call my insurance. They then proceeded to take over paying out for my totaled vehicle and told me they will deal with the other insurance company. Doing some research American Access Casualty web page says on the front page that they will insure internationals without a drivers license. I have read a ton of other review where this company has refused to pay out for similar reasons. So this company takes $ from people who are not insurable and does not pay when they hit someone. There has to be a law against this and needs to be investigated.

On June 24th 2017 at 9:40am, my wife was stopped at a red light in Houston, Texas on N. Antoine. While waiting for a red light she was heavily rear ended by a car. My wife called me directly after the accident and informing me that the driver of the second vehicle did not appear to have a drivers license or real auto insurance because when she called the number of the insurance provided the call would just disconnect or no one would answer the phone.

I informed my wife that she should contact the Houston Police Department and have an officer come to the scene of the accident. When I arrived, which was approx 10 mins, the driver of the second car and a second person representing herself as the driver's mother who came to the scene by another separate vehicle wanted to pay for the damages to my wife's car at least three different times. They spoke in Spanish and to the best of our ability we informed them that we had no idea of how much the damages would be and that we had to called the police.

The police arrived within 10 mins and gave the driver of the second car two tickets. 1. No drivers license and; 2. Failure to control speed. The driver only appears to have a passport from a Central America country of which I do not remember and it is also not important. My wife subsequently received a subpoena to appear in court as a witness against the second driver. The second driver did not appear in court and a warrant was issued for her arrest on 8-22-2017.

Why did I state all of the above? 1. My wife was hit from behind while waiting at a legal City of Houston stop light. 2. The driver of the second car did not have a license to drive a car in the State of Texas or anywhere else in the United States. 3. The Houston Police Department issued the second driver two tickets as mentioned above. 4. As of 8-21-2017 the driver of the second car has a warrant for her arrest.

And yet the Auto Insurance of the car that hit my wife, American Access Insurance Company refuses to return my wife's multiple calls to have her car fixed. After no less than 25 calls to this firm, I went out on the internet and with little effort found multiple sites that depict horrible customer reviews of American Access Insurance Company, many with similar cases of being hit from behind by another driver which is nearly in all cases anywhere within the boundaries of the United States and other western countries, places the blame on the driver who hit a car in front of them.

How is it that we live in the United States of America and insurance companies like American Access are even allowed to sell insurance, take in the premiums and never pay out a claim? If in the future a driver with this insurance hits another car and really hurts someone; that persons family or loved one would bear the complete burden of all the medical bills and loss of wages because in my opinion American Access Insurance Company follows a business model of selling various types of insurance and never actually intending to pay out a claim; even claims like my wife’s case which is clear cut.

It has been two months since my wife was hit from behind and no one from American Access will return her call. It is now left to us to file a claim with our insurance company which has a $400 deductible and some level of burden on us for a rental car while my wife’s car is in the shop. This really is not the issue although it does make me mad.

I have lots of time on my hands so I have filed with the Texas Insurance Board to have American Access dropped from being able to sell insurance in the State of Texas. I have also filed with the United States Insurance Board to have them investigate American Access. I have also sent our story to ABC's 20/20; CBS's 60 Mins and other media news magazines in hopes that they will do a story on American Access and help get their license to sell insurance of any kind revoked everywhere in the United States. I also plan to sue the insurance company in Houston Texas in hopes that it will cost them much more in terms of legal fees and my claim than they would have paid if they had just settled the claim. American Access; you have just messed with the WRONG PERSON!!! I have lots and lots of free time and very much enjoy taking on scum bag outfits like your firm.

Attempted to find out why monthly premium was increasing from approximately $390 to $575.87. Was initially informed by the rep who answered that was due to a discount being withdrawn for prior insurance. That needed a letter of experience. I explained that this had not been previously requested by anyone - either their agent nor the underwriter that we had spoken with during the application process. Explained that due to travel, would not be back to residence to get any such information for the next two weeks and did not believe that a less than 48-hour notice was reasonable. The rep said that she could not do anything and I asked to speak to a supervisor.

Luis, a supervisor, came onto the call. He repeated the same story and I also explained that neither their agent nor their underwriter raised the need for the letter. While happy to provide it, it would be in mid-June as Mark **, the other insured, was currently traveling and I was (am) in Nicaragua until the last half of June due to a member of my family being sick. Then Luis raised the point that Mark ** did not live full-time in Houston and that the Underwriting Section (the section that he previously stated he did not manage and could not direct to take action) had yesterday (i.e. 25 May) decided to cancel the policy for this reason.

I explained that Mark only drives while in Houston as it is cheaper to pay for the policy than for him to have to rent a car when in Houston. This had been explained to their underwriter in April during the insurance application and the policy had been approved. Luis committed to, as soon as he finished the call, to send an email containing a copy of the notice from "yesterday" showing this decision to cancel.

After waiting approximately 30 minutes and approximately 15 minutes before the insurance office closed, I called back to state that the letter had not been received. I also asked the person who answered, Mike, if he could tell me the status of my policy. After a minute or two (maybe longer) he stated that based on the notes, that an email "had been sent by a supervisor to underwriting" to cancel the policy. I asked if the note said that underwriting had cancelled or of the supervisor (presumably Luis) had sent an email TO underwriting to cancel. Mike hung up the phone on me.

Based on the statement by Mike, it appears that Luis was not honest when, in the middle of the first call, apparently learned that the policy had been cancelled. I believe that Luis was not truthful and he effort to cancel the policy is retaliatory for questioning the increase. I suspect that many other customer of American Access Casualty have had similar experiences.

I got rear ended by one of their insured so there is damage underneath that they do not account for. My claim adjusted never called me, I had to call him twice to even hear back from someone. They give you a 24 hour window where your adjuster should call, clearly didn't happen. This company will only pay MINIMUM on labor, so you know that you will not have your car fixed at a good facility. I have only taken my car to the dealership for any work done on it since it is still under warranty and they will only cover 1/2 of what the estimate actually is.

One lady said I had to take it to one of their "preferred" dealerships, but then the next said I didn't. They also said that if I take it somewhere that charges more than what they are willing to pay I am responsible. The company should not operate as an insurance company. I hope NO ONE gets hit by one of their insured. You will not have your car fixed for a long time if you even get it fixed, or you will have to take it to some BS shop that probably won't even use real parts. After a month and a half I got my insurance company involved, then they responded and sent me a check for 1/2 of what it would cost to put an oem bumper back on my truck.

After several attempts to contact the adjuster I finally got her and she told me that they would pay for an aftermarket bumper only and 40.00 dollars for labor. She told me my truck was not new enough to pay for oem and their labor price is fixed. I don't care how old my truck is. There was nothing wrong with my bumper. I asked what shop she got 40.00 dollars from. I wanted the phone # so I could call them and she wanted my zip code and I told no. I want to know where she came up with that price (no answer). The adjuster never contacted me, and the person that I was involved in a wreck actually tried to file a claim on my insurance after running a stop sign and hitting me with my 20 month old in the car. My car was totalled and she drove away in her car. She might have been 16 years old. I have been told that they aren't responsible for any towing/storage fees, so I had to pay $300 for towing. My car has been sitting undriveable for almost two weeks. I have called a million times, and even left messages with my adjuster's supervisor, and no call back.

Finally got a hold of my adjuster and he tells me that the person involved in the accident was not a driver on the policy, and they were doing an "investigation" at this time. They also told me that they would have to "decide" whether or not to reimburse me for a rental car, and only up to $20 per day! I have two jobs and take/pick up my kids from school/childcare. I have had to borrow a family member's car!

Also, they informed me that they are unable to get in touch with their own client!!! So now after reading these reviews, I do not believe that she wasn't covered or that they aren't able to get them on the phone. The most ridiculous thing about this company is that if you go to their website, it specifically states that they give insurance to: MEXICANS, INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS, AND THOSE WITH NO LICENSES!!! WTF??? Are we in a third world country??? So this explains a whole lot! I asked them how a person that isn't supposed to be driving, is able to obtain auto insurance, needless to say silence!!!

I have reported this company to the Texas Department of Insurance, and I beg each of you to do the same and shut this company DOWN!!! They are criminals and promote illegal driving at the expense of those that follow the law. So now, I have to file my a claim on my insurance, and will not be able to get another car until after my house is closed on, since I am in the process of building a house. My car was all of 11 months old. I will be taking the person that hit me to court. This company should be closed immediately.

If you're in the same position I was a month ago--researching this horrible insurance company because someone who has it hit you and they're at fault--and you're wondering whether or not you should subrogate through your own insurance company, let me save you a lot of hassle and headaches. Call your insurance company NOW and tell them you want to subrogate the claim through them.

I was hit by a woman who has AAC over a month ago, and called to create a claim within an hour of the accident. I had some initial concerns because when I looked at the picture I took of the woman's driver's license and realized that it had expired three years ago, and after having read reviews on this very website, I had begun creating a claim through my own insurance company (Allstate). I was also told by AAC that they would not be able to approve my claim until they had heard from the woman who hit me. They had tried calling her several times, but had not heard back, and they told me the only thing they could do was to threaten to cancel her insurance.

But after two business days, I got a call back from the claim adjuster informing me that they finally heard back from her and they had created an estimate of record. I took my car into a nationwide body shop the very next day (January 3rd). After a few days, they tell me they had found additional damage and would need to file a supplemental claim and that's when the problems began. First, the body shop is telling me that AAC is refusing to pay their negotiated hourly rate of $48/hour and that they had only approved half of the additional damage. During this time the claim adjuster at AAC apparently went on a one week vacation and the body shop said they weren't able to speak with anyone else at AAC regarding the claim. The claim adjuster finally gets back and tells me they want to send out someone local to examine my vehicle and that this could take one-to-five days.

Let me tell you, I heard this excuse multiple times and EVERY TIME it was at least five days until anything happened. The local adjuster makes it out and I'm told that they have up to 72 hours to submit their revised estimate. Four days later, the body shop still hasn't heard anything, so again I'm calling the claim adjuster to find out what is going on and yelling at the body shop as to why they apparently are content to just sit around and WAIT for everything without showing any initiative to actually call themselves for an update. One day later, the body shop calls me (today) around 4:00 pm saying they finally received the revised estimate, that AAC is still refusing to pay the negotiated hourly labor rate and now instead of repairing my tailgate, they want it replaced which would add time since they have to order it, plus additional painting to get everything to match.

They want me to speak with their general manager to discuss me paying OUT OF POCKET for the difference in the labor rate charge and I tell them that's BS. I'm not at fault. Why should I have to pay for it? They've had my car now going on a month and NOTHING has been done yet. Long story short, I call Allstate back and beg them to proceed with the claim I had initiated a month ago. There was some going back and forth on whether or not repairs had actually begun and whether or not they could be able to file a claim, but in the end they said they could and are sending out their own adjuster on Monday to see my vehicle. Thank God they're able to respond quickly and no more "one-to-five business days" BS that AAC gives you.

Luckily ours is just property damage around $500 and my insurance company, State Farm, can pay for uninsured or under insured damages. Hopefully the person that hit my daughter's car will just pay the repair and bypass this horrible excuse for a company altogether.

I was hit by a driver who has this insurance on 9/26/16 that same day I called the company to submit a claim. They took my information and what happened. The driver backed into my car at my daughters school and took responsibility. I also had 3 witnesses as I was inside the school when this happened. I gave the insurance the names and contact info of the witnesses. They told me they would submit the info and that within 24 hrs a adjuster would call me to go over with me what I had to do and where to take my car for an estimate. I waited 2 days and did not get a call from anyone. I call the insurance. After waiting on hold for over 30 minutes a representative gave me the info on where to go to get the estimate. I went to get the estimate on 10/01/16. The person at the shop said it usually takes about a week for the insurance to review the estimate and they would call me to let me know what to do next.

Let’s keep in mind this whole time I never got a call from the adjuster. I let a week pass by and I hear nothing so the week of 10/10/16 I call again, wait for another 30 minutes on hold, then the representative tells me I need to fill out some paperwork regarding the claim in order to proceed with the claim. I asked why the adjuster hasn’t been in contact with me to discuss all of this as it is taking so long and I do not have the time to keeps calling and being on hold. They stated they would send a message for the adjuster to call me. I submitted my paperwork that same week and called again, then they tell me they're waiting for the paperwork from the person that hit me. Flash forward to 10/28/16 after calling a millions times, the adjuster never called me so I called to see what the holdup is now since it’s been over a month since the accident. They tell me that they're waiting for the estimate from the body shop.

At this point I lost it because that was done at the beginning of the month. It blows my mind that 1st the adjuster not once called me, didn’t bother to call the shop to see if I had gone to get the estimate. I told them I had went on 10/01/16 and even told them it was at approximately 10am. The representative states he was going to send an email to the shop to get the estimate and then the adjuster would call me to review the estimate (which I knew wasn’t going to happen as the adjuster never bothered to call me before then). Today is 11/3/16 and I had still not heard anything from the adjuster or anyone at this insurance. I called and they told me they mailed a check yesterday for the amount on the estimate. So basically I did not speak to the adjuster at all. A lot of time could of been saved and a lot of calls could of been avoided. This insurance is HORRIBLE. WORST EXPERIENCE when dealing with a claim.

It should be illegal for a company like this to operate. I was struck by a driver with this insurance on September 25th, 2016. He almost hit me head on, but I was able to swerve at the last second, and he badly side swiped me. Causing major damage to the driver side of the vehicle I was driving. The driver who hit me, didn't have a driver's license. The police came out, and made a crash report detailing what had happened, and noting that the American Access driver came into my lane and struck me.

I contacted American Access, told them what happened. They told me to submit any medical bills and lost wages because of the accident. Then a couple of days later, I get a call from American Access. They then told me that they did not have an insurance policy with the person who struck me, nor the person who the insurance was under. They also said that the Vin number of the vehicle that had struck me was not a vehicle insured by them. So at that point, I'm thinking that the person had fake insurance. I then called the Dallas police Department telling them about the fake insurance on my accident report. The police department then ran the vehicle information through their system, and it did in fact have insurance and all of the information on the accident report was correct with all the vehicle information registered into the system.

So American Access lied to me. They have nothing but "horror story" reviews, so my situation is nothing unusual when dealing with this company. I called back to American Access to confront them on lying, and waited on hold for over 30 minutes before someone picked up just to say nothing and hang up in my face after repeatedly saying "Hello? Hello? Hello?". I'm currently still seeking to speak with someone from American Access. As I have been on hold for another 30 minutes as of writing this. Good luck if you ever get hit by someone with this awful, disgraceful, illegitimate, deceitful insurance company.

Back on September 14th, my office received a call from an adjuster requesting our email address and physical address to send us a letter of guarantee for us to sign and therefore, send us a check to pay off our customer's. My associate gave the adjuster the information. My associate even informed the adjuster that after a certain date, the account would've incurred late charges. The adjuster went so far as to tell my associate that we will have the payoff funds before that date.

Well needless to say, that IS A LIE!!! Once the date that was given came upon us, I called the adjuster and left her a voicemail message requesting a status. Well, it is now going on 8 days later and I have NOT received a callback from said adjuster. Both my associate and I have called every day, at least twice a day and no one ever answers. We leave message on top of message and still we never receive a callback. The adjuster doesn't even return the call to their policyholder.

I've tried going up the ladder and to no avail. I left a message to the adjuster's supervisor and I have the same result. NO RETURN CALL!! I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism and lack professional courtesy. I guess that American Access Casualty teaches and trains that to all of their employees. I had to get a lawyer because I didn't hear from GEICO or the driver's insurance, Access American. When the lawyer heard from the insurance company they stated he wasn't covered and I ended up having to get paid by my daughter's insurance and my insurance State Farm. It was only $30,000, I have a $207000 hospital bill.

When I try to get a better rate for my insurance all the other insurance companies know about the payoff from State Farm. I have never had an at fault accident or a ticket for anything since living here in Texas 9 years at that time. I don't believe that driver was not covered but the insurance company sent a letter stating he wasn't covered. Why was he driving with that insurance card and they didn't say the insurance was no good? I know I was cheated and no one can help me get what I should have received for my injuries. I was 65 years old at the time and have been suffering ever since the accident. I thank God I am alive and able to walk (hip replacement), fractured skull, 7 broken ribs and a broken neck. So they checked their un-updated system and said they did have the form and that they will take my payment.

So now today I open a letter from them and it was a letter stating the cancellation of my policy because I did not provide a driver exclusion form. So I call them and of course they take forever to check their system and tell me to disregard this letter. So my point is if this "company" is giving me so much grief in just one month, I will cancel my policy and go with another more reliable company. I should have done research on this low-budget, horrible, no good company. After reading the other reviews I think I am better off without this company insuring me and mine. For about three weeks they told me that my insurance claim was on hold because they could not get into contact with their insured client. They explained that they needed a statement from them. I was supposed straight it because it had been three weeks and the person who is at fault did not even call to report the accident to their own insurance company. The only way to communicate with them is via phone; and 95% of the time it can take up to two hours just to get someone on the other end. I was assigned to an adjuster for which they provided three different phone numbers for her all of which did not work. Was always busy or not valid.

I asked to be set up in a rental so that my life could go on in the meantime but they say that they do not pay for rentals, that they only reimburse for them. I spent over $500 in rental fees just in the first three weeks, and when I asked about getting reimbursed for them, they told me as long as the rental was not over $21 a day. My rental avg. about 32$/day. So I had to negotiate what they would and wouldn't pay. They was suppose to send a tow truck out to pick up the car because it had been totaled.

I waited two weeks before calling to see what happened to the wrecker because it had been totaled. I waited two weeks before calling to see what happened to the wrecker being sent, they didn't remember sending one out. In the meantime they kept telling me to speak with my adjuster who NEVER picks up or responds to vm. It was a nightmare. Currently I am still awaiting to hear from her and for them to send to tow truck to pick up the vehicle.

Each time it's been me calling them to resolve my claim and being on hold for 20+ minutes just to be told they can't do anything. I've sent them all things they requested and since their insurer is not "complying" they continue to tell me to wait. They advised me to contact my adjuster Mary, who has not once called me in regards to my claim nor has returned any of my call with the 3 messages I've left. I also was directed to another supervisor Justin, who once again I was sent to voicemail. I was rear ended by a policy holder of this company while stopped at a red light. His speed caused me to hit the person in front of me rupturing my radiator and basically making my car inoperable. The officer wrote the man a ticket for failure to control his vehicle and I had my car towed to my house. I immediately placed a call to this company and filed a claim and immediately knew this was going to be a problem company. The lady was very rude, she had me repeat things multiple times when everything I was saying was clear. The claim was submitted and I asked about a rental car and was immediately given the "well we won't do that. We haven't proven liability." (I was rear ended)... Not hard. They have you leave a best time of day to be called and the next month was a living nightmare.

I had to find rides to work. The claims rep assigned to my case would call me during my working hours. I work in a lab where I have no access to my phone. When I could call on lunch I would never get an answer. It would go straight to voicemail. I had to call the 1800 number to get an adjuster to come to check out my car. Of course they had the wrong address which delayed this a few more days. After the adjuster came I was told I'd need to wait for the police report before a decision would be made. Well at this point I had it and demanded a rental and was told I'd have to rent on my own and would have to seek reimbursement. I got a rental and then yes it got worse.

I finally got in contact with my adjuster guy and was told they didn't have a copy of the police report. It was clearly available online and they told me "If I wanted my claim to be handled I'd have to send them it express shipping". I was shocked that they wanted me to do their job. I waited a few days and received a phone call from this adjuster that dodged all my calls, voicemail, and contact to tell me that he received the police report and that he would only pay for half of the damage to my car. He said that they were only responsible for the rear damage. The adjuster told me that he spoke to his client and his client said that I rear ended the car in front of me and that he hit me. Which was obviously a lie.

I told him that the police report is the real events and that he will have to pay for my entire car. He told me I didn't have any witnesses and that the cop failed to put his "client's side of the story in the police report". The icing on the cake was that the driver who hit me didn't even have a license and this was clearly stated in the police report. How can you be insured with no driver's license? I then told him I was getting an attorney and was told " Okay, you go do that".

Well I began my search for an attorney while also calling the person that I was pushed into insurance company to back up my story. I received a call from them saying that they had my story from the people I was pushed into and that the other story was obviously false. I received a call a week later stating that they were going to pay out my settlement. I was finally sent a check for my car's value and tow bill. It took me another week to receive reimbursement for the rental car. The rental cost almost 1000$. In total I was forced to purchase a new vehicle. I was put through hell. I did suffer some injuries but was too busy dealing with this mess to even think about going to a chiropractor. In my head that was just another battle I'd have to face.

This company used every tactic in the book in my opinion. The very first phone call they recorded my address wrong. They then continued to call when normal people would be working. They did not have normal business hours like real insurance companies. They failed to respond to calls, voicemails, and emails! They kept telling me it was my job to send them the police report, which was false. This delayed my claim a lot! It is a very common thread I found out with this company. Then to top it off they try to cover their clients by creating false statements to get you to settle for nothing or half what you deserve. This company is so corrupt it baffles me they are allowed to even operate. I filed a report with the Illinois attorney general who forwarded it to the insurance whatever for Illinois. I am writing this report to help anyone who has been hit by someone with this insurance.

First thing is to get everything together (police report is absolutely needed to get anything from them), make sure they repeat everything they record back to you, get your adjuster's email address. I found out they couldn't dodge emails and phone calls were just a game. If you are stuck without a car you can get a rental but make sure it's a clear cut case like mine (rear ended). Don't settle for less and clearly express your right to get an attorney. This case would have been a joke in court. Rear ended by someone with no driver's license... Keep up with them and document everything. Keep all receipts and at the end seek everything that is owed to you. It's a shame a business like this exists. Most people on here are "victims". You shouldn't have to work so hard and be put through so much stress because someone CRASHED INTO YOU!... Good luck!!!

My car was vandalized and it wasn't even drivable. They appraised it for a way less value of what it was worth to fix it. So I contacted their shop who did not fix that type of damage. I couldn't reach them again so they connected me to some rude lady who left me on hold and eventually hung up. The adjuster Daniel located in the Downers Grove, IL office told me that they based their amount on local auto shops but the one you connected me to don't even do that type of work. So someone put something in my tank. The people said the tank needed to be dropped and cleansed. They gave an estimate 300$. So after calling them to tell them that the shop don't do it, they didn't answer and when I got someone the lady taking messages hung up twice.

Mind you I'm very respectful and I understand people can be angry and you can't talk but that was the case. Just flat out rude. I contact other shops and all of them gave me the minimum of what Nissan charged me and one gave more. It has been 3 weeks of being without a car. They keep playing games, you telling me your estimates are based on shops who don't do that type of work. I find it ignorant that you pay full coverage for insurance for them to scam and lie their way out of paying out.

I believe everybody's case on here that is negative because the process is similar with these people and it sound like that this is they MO and I will not stop until I am compensated for every dime I put into this bogus full coverage insurance. From my understanding you get numerous estimate and they pay not you make up an unreasonable amount. A different automotive shop said "I don't see what you can get done for 320$," smh. I am convinced that there is a devil because these are heartless cold people who do not fear anything and do not care and I will not put another dime into this business. It is June 8th, incident occurred May 20, 2016. Still fighting for them to pay with these ridiculous excuses. I will see fit to a class action lawsuit formed!

Of course being upset I asked for a supervisor which was Lawrence and I asked were they gonna put a rush on it since I had already been waiting all those days and the check wasn't even sent out yet. He asked to give him a couple of hours and call back. I called back on the next business day which is today and he stated that they sent out regular mail (no rush) and that I should be receiving my check within the next 5-7 business days. I wish I could give less than 1 star due to the fact that Lawrence felt like he had the right to be upset and not me.

I called police and filled out an accident report immediately. My ins co. contacted them and gave them my phone #. No response. I called them a week later and finally reached the adjuster. She wanted an estimate and pictures. I told her to send one of their adjusters to me. Guess they never heard of that. I finally found a body shop willing to do that (5 previous would have nothing to do with them). Emailed it in and asked for acknowledgment. Forget it. I left numerous messages with adjuster - no response.

Was given her supervisor's # and also left messages - no response. I called again today (3 weeks since accident) and was told to submit police report, which I gave the report no. to them on day one. Who else is interested??? OUTRAGEOUS business practices!!! I was rear-ended in May of 2015 and pushed into a ditch, to the tune of nearly 9,000 due to sub frame and additional underbody damages. Today is March 31, 2016 and I have yet to resolve this claim. My insurance repaired my car and then American Access refused to pay the bill in its entirety... After they never responded to many repeated calls, etc. The tail does what the head does and, the claims manager, I believe is the problem!!! When they don't respond to 6, 7, 8 calls and numerous emails, it's reasonable that the adjusters will feel comfortable doing so as well.

Now, they want to use the fact that I got "mostly all new parts, including a new SUBFRAME" that they DID NOT FULLY PAY FOR, mind you, as their excuse to not pay for my diminished car value, offering a measly $191. This after $8800 in damages to my 8 month old Toyota Camry, including frame! The adjuster said: "Your car is actually better... You got new parts to replace 8 month old (original) parts." The manager said there's no diminished value because it was fixed. Insane!!! Very unreasonable and they need to be shut down!!! I say let's all join in to shut them down and make current victims while again, and, most importantly, prevent future victims!!! Also, pursue your own diminished value claim because after a wreck, you won't get the same resale or trade value. It's the law! You will be fought by them but look it up. You're entitled to it!

I was struck by an insurer of AACC on January 8th, 2016 in a small shopping center parking lot. I was perpendicular to the insurer waiting on a spot, when she struck me while reversing out of her spot. She didn't have a license, which I wasn't surprised seeing as not many people would run into a large visible stationed truck behind them, but did shock me that she was able to be insured by this unknown company. Nevertheless, she was very cooperative, and admitted full fault. I called the Houston Police Department, but apparently they do not respond to minor accidents anymore, and instructed me to call her insurance to file the claim.

So being skeptical on this insurance whom I've never heard, I called them then and there while the insurer was still present, and was able to file a claim. They said they don't have any adjusters nearby until January 22nd, which I refused seeing as that was way too far out, so she miraculously found one that could examine my truck on the 13th, still pretty far out but I accepted. I took it to the adjuster who only took pictures and said that they'll have an estimate in two business days, which I found odd because I've dealt with larger insurance companies and they simply instruct me to take it to my dealership and let them write up an estimate and they'll pay whatever the dealership says is going to be.

Weary, I told the gentleman that I didn't want to come off as arrogant, but I really needed this fixed as soon as possible. I could not bear seeing my sixty five thousand dollar truck damaged much longer. He said they'll be as fast as they can go, so I simply thanked the gentleman and left. I am now on the fourth business day, and I have not heard anything from the adjuster nor the insurance company. After reading the reviews here, I am worried I will never receive a phone call. I've called the adjuster several times, and cannot seem to get a hold of him, nor do the people in his office/shop know where he is at, odd seeing as he's stationed there. I've called the insurance company multiple times and cannot get through to someone. They simply say they're experiencing high call volume and ask for my name and number but never call back.

I understand if the estimate took a little longer than expected or if the adjusters is handling other cases before mine, I get that, but I just need to know. I need to know the status of my claim but cannot get a hold of anyone! I've never had this type of experience before with an insurance company, every other company I've dealt with would have had my truck in the body shop getting worked on while providing me a rental truck while it's there. It's such a huge inconvenience to be dealing with this when all you did was be in the wrong place at the wrong time. If this is not resolved by the end of this week, I will be giving my lawyer a call, and taking this as high as I need to. At the end of the day, this company will pay for my damages, and will pay for my court costs if they want to take it that far.

Mr. ** tried saying that he was bumped by another car, but the police said there was no evidence and found that he was at fault.

On Saturday, December 5, 2015, I called the insurance company for Mr. **, which is American Access Casualty Company and gave all the requested information. I was told that I would hear from an adjuster within two days. That did not happen so I called and was given my adjuster's name and number. I called my adjuster and left a message and was called back within 1 business day to once again confirm the details of the accident. My adjuster told me that I could take my car in for appraisal but not until December 18th, to which I said "No way, that is too long."

Finally we settled on December 9th. I went in and the field Appraiser looked at my car, took about 5 minutes, took some pictures, and proceeded to tell me that if I haven't heard anything within 2 business days, to start emailing my adjuster and he provided her email address. He also told me that this company is notorious for not paying in a timely manner. This worried me, but I waited and then started calling and I have left many (a minimum of 5) for my adjuster and her supervisor. I have only received a return phone call ONCE with all of the emails and phone messages. When speaking to the adjuster... She is full of excuses and says she cannot authorize the repairs to my car until she has talked with the middle car.

We are now 34 days (more than enough time) from the accident and I still have heard nothing about repairs to my car. I also called my own auto insurance and made them aware of the situation and they also began calling the adjuster and as of 1/7/16, they have had no response from her. I started looking information up online and apparently this is a game they play with people. My car was only 2 months old at the time I was hit. I want and deserve my car to be repaired!

During the evaluation process, the truck was never driven to properly evaluate driving condition to evaluate drive train despite being struck behind passenger rear door causing damage to door, rear quarter panel and wheel and tire. The evaluation cost came to $695 which I knew would never cover damage.

After taking truck to different trusted body shops for fair evaluation, the costs were around $1,800 just for body work not to mention that the Truck soon undrivable due to truck being struck in rear axle which was verified due tire and rim damage. The drive train repair estimates are a consistent $2,500 and more by 3 companies. The damage to my truck is still not repaired and my truck has been sitting 7 months undrivable at the repair shop. I have been in touch with Randy ** for months since only to get the same results. Randy keeps mentioning that he will send Manny again to suspension shop to evaluate. I was rear-ended on May 7, 2015. To date I have not received any return calls from their claims adjuster Latonya (last name ?). Not received any reimbursement for the deductible I had to come up with to get my car repaired. I have also incurred medical expenses. I have been getting the run-around from this company, stating..."If I want to prove my case, I would responsible for obtaining the court documents wherein their insured plead guilty to failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident." This can easily be obtained from public records, and certainly not my responsibility to get those records.

It's been five months and still not any closer to receiving reimbursement for expenses incurred by their insured. I have also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. This insurance agency all seem to have received the same complaints as I have – failure to return my calls, failure to reimburse for bills that was the incurred as the result of their insured. Isn't that what insurance companies suppose to do?

My son was in an accident on September 17, 2015 when he was struck by a driver that was insured by this company. They were in a strip center and my son was trying to make a right turn and hit the brakes when he saw the guy coming towards him but the guy did not stop and hit my vehicle on the front right doing quite a bit of damage. The police came out and wrote up a report, no one was injured and the officer advised that he would not be filing a citation because this was private property. A tow truck was there, but my son was able to drive the vehicle, although the fender is hitting the tire when you try to turn to the left and as soon as he got home, I called American Access to file a claim. They gave me the number of the adjuster that would be handling the claim and advised me that someone locally would be out to take pictures of my vehicle between Friday and the following Tuesday.

When I did not hear from anybody Tuesday afternoon I called the adjuster Dan and left a voicemail. I did not hear back from him that day and by 10 o'clock the next morning I called him again and he did answer his phone and told me that he would be getting somebody out Thursday or within the next week. I was very upset and started to cry a little and advised him I am in the middle of packing my apartment because I'm going to be moving in the next week and I need to get something done about this soon, and he was telling me he didn't have the name of the person that was going to be coming out. And I also proceeded to tell him about the horrible reviews I read about his company and how worried I am about getting this taken care of. Then all of a sudden he says, "Oh, I've got his name, I'm sending him an email right now and he should be calling you back shortly."

The local person did call me back and advised that they would be out on Thursday Sep 24, btwn 3 & 4. And he did come out at the time he said he would and took pictures and was very nice and told me that he would be getting this done and sent back to Dan by Friday the 25th. And I also expressed my concern to him about this company after all the horrible reviews I read and of course they are a third-party so they deal with a lot of insurance agencies. But I did tell him that I did want to try to give them the benefit of the doubt. I am now on my last day of packing I still have not heard back from Dan. I called and left him a message yesterday, I've called him this morning. I've called the local person and all I got was voicemail and I've left messages...

I understand that these things take time and that they do have other customers as well but this is day 13 and my car hasn't even gotten into a body shop and I can't drive it. And I'm moving 60 miles away tomorrow and I definitely cannot get up on the freeway in my vehicle and I refuse to do that. Sadly, I feel like my worst nightmares are starting to come true with this company... But on a good note as I'm writing this, the local person just called me back and is going to send the adjuster a message for me. And that is not his responsibility, the adjuster should be the one contacting me and I've only spoken to him one time, that first time. We'll see how it goes...

Few days after numerous of calls I got in touch with them and they told me that they still cannot get in touch with their client for statement and they cannot take liability yet which is a lie because I personally spoke to their client and she told me she already gave them statement and she filled out her accident report.

Also I asked my adjuster ERICA ** how much is my estimate for and they told me it is for $295.50 and she refused to send me a copy of it. What a joke, I got an estimate from independent shop which is for $1480 and the same day when they told me their estimate I went to the same shop they sent me and they gave me an estimate for $1269.25. What the heck is that difference. This company is full of BS and scam. I am filing a lawsuit against them as soon as possible and also a complaint with The State Financial Department. My vehicle was hit by a driver insured by AACI. Immediately he fled the scene on foot but thanks to a witness who followed him the driver was returned to the scene by Metro police. In the meantime before he returned, his brother (the owner of the vehicle) arrived and told my driver that the truck had been stolen 10 minutes earlier from a Taqueria (amazing he knew where the truck was). Well, the Metro police bring his brother back and so the stolen truck story went sour. The driver was issued 3 tickets and on police report admitted to running the light. American Access got all claim forms, police reports, witness statements but won't settle because they have contradictory statements from their insured that the truck was possibly stolen and that they are conducting an investigation to determine if they are liable to me.

As with other stories I've read, I'm getting the same runaround, wait on hold forever, get hung up on, leave messages that are never returned. I have even asked them to deny liability so that my insurance companies can fix mine under uninsured/underinsured coverage that I carry but they won't. I don't really believe this is a real insurance company but is in reality a scam that just collects premiums and employs the most obnoxious, rude, arrogant weasels that the world has to offer to try and wear you down so that you give up.

I have been thru a similar incident with GEICO before but at least they would answer and return calls. They did not pay because it was his word versus my word and there were no tickets issued. In that case I sued their insured in small claims court, won and then sent to GEICO and they promptly paid damages plus court cost. In this case, the damages exceed $15,000 so it's above the limits of that court. In summation, American Access Casualty SUCKS!

This is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Shame on the TX Dept. of Insurance for letting them in our state. Accident was in June, 2015. Their party got the ticket. Police report said it was 100% her fault. We had the car towed to the body shop. 51 days later, they write a estimate. We called the body shop every few days to check the progress. Same answer every time: waiting on the adjuster to come out, waiting on the estimate.

We went to the body shop on a Monday and we're told our car was going up for auction to pay the storage bill. Our car was not drivable. So where are we supposed to store it? HOA have strict rules on parking wrecked cars in the driveway. We had to pay $1800 in storage fees to keep our car from being sold by the storage lot. We had it towed to another repair facility and they don't even want to fix it because they say American Access is so hard to get payment from. Worst insurance company ever. They should be banned from Texas.

Not that you can avoid being involved in an accident by one of American Access' insured but be warned they are a scam company that insures unlicensed drivers specifically that of Hispanic decent. How can an insurance company insure an unlicensed driver? Apparently that doesn't matter. Red flag number uno. I was ever so graciously forced to turn left, when I was in a straight lane as was their insured when she turned left from the middle lane into my Tahoe and continued going as if nothing happened on June 18, 2015.

I called the police made the report and then filed the claim. My car was inoperable from significant damage to the control arm, sway bar end link, knee assembly, knuckle, ball joints and tie rods. Not including my fender, bumper, and headlight. My vehicle was towed to a body shop of my choice where it sat for two weeks before a local appraiser came out. He assessed the damage and a claim was approved for $915.00 to replace the fender, labor, and paint only. Two days later the whole claim was denied because their insured refused to make a statement even though there was a police report on file.

About a week after this I was finally able to contact an adjuster about the claim and was informed the claim had been approved but only for the fender. I had to wait two weeks for forms to be sent to my home for "supplemental" damage. Had the body shop fill out the forms, included photos of all the damage and it was sent back to them. Fast forward two more weeks of no contact, voicemail and no return calls or emails, I sneak through their automated system and speak to a different adjuster who explained that there is no such thing as "supplemental damage forms". This person was actual very helpful. He scheduled another appraiser to come out by that Friday, two days later, to assess the suspension damage. The appraiser showed up on that Friday and I received a call the following Monday that the supplemental damage had been approved.

It's been almost two more weeks since then and the body shop has not heard anything from the insurance company. I keep getting voicemails with no return call, hung up on, emails not being returned, and now my new favorite game they're playing is this wonderful thing I call, "the extension game". Basically any time you call any of their numbers you get an automated message that says, "I'm sorry that extension cannot be reached." Even with their main number you'd call to inquire about becoming a policyholder.

The total damage to my vehicle is roughly $3000.00 not paid. The total for storage fees, which I was so rudely told were my responsibility is nearing $5,000.00. So all in all, the vehicle I bought a year ago and am still making payments on will never be driven again by me. This "company" is a joke, shady as all hell and definitely needs to be shut down. What they are doing is ruining the lives of hard working people. Oh, almost forgot to mention they also wouldn't pay for a rental car either.

Short review: It’s been 6 months since my car was totaled by an American Access insured driver and they still haven’t paid me what they owe. Won’t answer calls or emails; keep lying about where they are in the process. Detailed review: This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. On 2/22/2015 at 12:30 am I was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. My (brand new!) 2014 Honda Civic was pushed through the intersection at about 35 miles per hour. The other driver then backed up and drove away. Thankfully I wasn’t injured. Cops came, towed my car and wrote up a report. Luckily they caught the guy about an hour and a half later. He was three times the legal alcohol limit and didn’t remember being in a crash. He was insured and at the time I thought that was a blessing, but dealing with an uninsured driver would have been easier than this company.

I filed a claim with my insurance (Rockford Mutual they have been great!) and then did so with American Access. A couple days later I heard from Dorothy ** with a claim number and provided her with my insurance rep's information. I got a form in the mail to fill out which was ridiculous. Just a bunch of redundant questions that were worded in a way that they wanted ME to take the blame for the accident. They also asked me to provide copies of the police report (which they could have obtained themselves). Anyway, I filled it out, making sure to detail every way their drunk driver was responsible, and mailed everything back. I thought we were off to a good start, but that’s where the communication with them ended for about 2 months. I called and emailed, and so did my insurance rep but Dorothy would not respond. Thankfully Rockford Mutual handled my claim on their end first and then sought reimbursement from AAINS.

So I was able to get a rental car, pay off my old loan and get a new car in just about a month and a half. Thank you Jerald and Jessica at Rockford Mutual! Fast forward to May and Dorothy finally responds, claiming they just received the subrogation files from my insurance and need time to process them. Okay fine, do your thing, get me my money. A couple days later Dorothy emails that they have a limits issue. My insurance was seeking $17,319 but the insured only had a policy with $15,000. I’m sorry, is that my problem? You are the insurance company. YOU are responsible for paying for damages caused by your insured. Take it up with them if you need more money. Aside from this AAINS owes me $700.73 ($500 for my deductible, $200.73 for the remainder of the rental balance that I had to pay out of pocket).

My insurance rep requested that they do not pay me a pro rata amount, but instead reimburse me in full. By the time she responds with confirmation of this it is June 24th. She also claims they are waiting for the subrogation files. I have email documentation that she received these on May 6th. I tell her this and no response again. At this point I’m furious. It’s been 4 months since the accident and they are just yanking me around.

I find the only contact info I can on their website and put Dorothy on an email with the Illinois Director of Marketing, Michelle **. And miraculously Dorothy responds the next day! But alas, it is another lie. She claims they just received the subrogation on 7/23 (LIES!) and need 7-10 days to process this. I tell her I will follow up on 8/6 as that is 10 business days. I’ve emailed every day since then with no response. I have told Dorothy I’m going to start calling her every day until this is resolved. I’ve never been so angry with someone I’ve never met. Will update when/IF this ever gets resolved and I get what is owed to me.

On the 6th day, I received a nasty email from the insurance adjuster that I was assigned to saying that I was not cooperating with the appraiser and they would not fix my vehicle if I didn't take it to the appraiser, which I had already done. He then proceeded to call MY insurance company and was rude to them stating that they need to call me and tell me to cooperate with them or they would not fix my car. Of course you can never get anyone on the phone to help you out.

When I finally did speak to them they were so rude and said I'm being difficult because I'm refusing to take my car to get it appraised… AFTER I ALREADY DID IT. This company acts in bad faith. On or near March 21, 2015, my 2009 Chrysler Sebring had an electrical fire. After the fire department responded, I was advised to remove the car from my home immediately because of the potential hazard. I used my AAA to have the vehicle towed to a local body repair shop. I filed a claim with my insurance company on March 24th, 2015. A rep came to inspect the vehicle on March 25, 2015 but needed a tear down to finish his inspection. American Access never sent an authorization to tear down the vehicle to complete their inspection. Over the past three months, American Access denied claim before fully inspecting the vehicle. After receiving a supplement from the repair shop, they deemed the car was repairable but significantly lower than the estimated cost. Repair shop believed the car was totaled.

American Access Casualty refused to pay the repair shop that I chose for tear down of the vehicle along with storage fees causing a delay of three weeks of escalated fees of over $1,400. After deciding to pay, they increased my deductible to $1,700 instead of $1,000 because they say that I have to pay $700 because I did not originally send my car to their repair shop. I called the company and was yelled at my adjuster's supervisor. They NEVER return phone calls to the policyholders.

On May 13th, 2015 American Access Casualty had my car towed to another repair shop of their choice and sent a check for $1,400 to their repair shop to begin repairs. Their repair shop sent a supplement for a new dashboard but it was denied because American Access Casualty wants the company to only use used parts for the repairs. The denial of the supplement has caused another delay that has lasted for four weeks. Their repair shop refuses to return my phone calls and I am left in the dark regarding the status because both the repair shop and my auto insurance company is not returning my phone calls.

Currently, my car is still not repaired fully because the American Access Casualty. Adjuster is not returning my voicemails. Denied supplement request for new parts, the company insists on repairing the car with old parts in spite of the repair shops effort to repair the vehicle. Delaying in the processes of claims for 3-4 weeks because of lack of communication between Insurance company to repair shop, insurance company and myself the policyholder.

I have left voicemails over the past three months and do not get responses from the adjuster regarding the status of the claims processing. American Access Casualty insurance is requesting more pictures of damages from the electrical fire to show proof that the dashboard is connected to the electrical fire. I believe that this is an attempt to deny my claim to finish the repairs of the vehicle because a rep has already gathered additional information during a visit to their repair shop on the end of May 2015. This company should not be allowed to be in business, it's a major scheme and they should be out of business. I have been without a car for four months and the company continues to try to find ways to get out of paying for the repairs of my vehicle. Delays on their part are unreasonable.

Once I told them about the damage to my car, I wanted to tell them about the property damage that their insured inflicted (audio system, iPod, electronic cigarette, prescription glasses) and their representative literally said "what, you already told us of your car damage, what else could there possibly be?" I mean seriously this is after I told them that broken glass sliced my hand and that the airbag deployed and pushed my girlfriend's glasses into her face causing multiple cuts and severe bruising. Their employee said that they cannot do anything until they know the exact location of my vehicle, which I told her, and then she replied that my own insurance will take the vehicle elsewhere and that they will need an exact address.

So I called my insurance and found the location where it will be taken and decided to call her to let her know where it will taken. She then replied furiously saying that there is still no way I know where the car would be and I said "can't your adjuster just call both places before, with their own little brain, to figure out where the car will be." Which she denied and said that I need to make sure where the car will be. I mean come on, can't their insurance do anything to help the victim of their insured. Why is it that I have the be responsible for every detail; enough stress is going on after the accident their insured caused.

Be warned - when you call this company, you will be greeted by nasally voiced, unprofessional employees, who expect you to do all of the work for them and then will be told that there is nothing they can do. I specifically made an account just to express my frustration with American Access. It seems that the insurance is just as trashy and horrid as their customers. I wish I could give this company a 0.

As in earlier posts, I was hit in the rear of my car while stopped at a red light. In Houston, TX. I was elated that the person had insurance but upset when I found out that American Access had no intention on paying. I called the Texas Department of Insurance who informed me that Texas law states that the insurance company of the other party has no legal time limit in which to pay you. So American Access does not have to pay you... ever... and they will still be within the Laws of Texas. The other thing I found out is that if they can't get in touch with their customer, they do not have to pay you... that is... if their customer does not call them and claim that they were at fault, American Access does not have to pay you. Absolutely and truly ludicrous. Thank you Texas politicians.

I was rear-ended in early October by someone with no drivers license, no SSN, and didn't even speak English. Luckily, they were insured (how, I still don't know) but I obtained the insurance information: American Access Casualty Insurance. I called the same day to file a claim and someone was supposed to get back with me. I didn't receive a call for a few days so I followed up. At that time I was notified that Chris ** was my adjuster so I reached out to him. I left 3-5 voice mails with no return call so I finally threatened to call an attorney and he called back. He was very rude, non-informative, unprofessional, and deceitful. I received the info needed from him on where to take my car for a quote (had to one of their approved shops) and the estimate I received was ridiculous.

I reached out to him once again as I was concerned about the amount of the estimate and he didn't answer, left another 3 voice mails with no return call. Finally I called and asked for a supervisor and somehow he magically appeared on the phone, again with horrible customer service. He provided me with false information and rushed the entire conversation as if he had no time for me. I took my vehicle to a certified collision center of my choice and sure enough, the estimate didn't even cover half the cost for the repairs. A supplement was submitted the same day and here we are 24 days later and I'm barely getting my car back. I followed up with Chris' supervisor, Kathy ** to address the lack of professionalism, the lack of communication, and the false information provided by my claims adjuster and she displayed the worst supervisory skills I've ever encountered.

She blamed me, the collision center, and everyone else involved aside from my adjuster and the agency. She took no accountability, as a supervisor, for the misleading info provided by her employee nor did she want to hear my feedback or concerns. Not to mention, I am having to pay out of pocket for the rental throughout the duration of the repairs with is such an inconvenience. About a week ago after doing thorough research on the insurance agency, I realized that they are notorious for these type of things. I recommend to anyone encountering unjust, illegal, or unfair processing of an open claim to file a complaint with the Department of Insurance with your state, for myself it was TDI.

Also, I did retrieve an email address for the VP of Claims and Litigation so I would strongly recommend contacting him in the event that you are not making progress. This company needs to be held accountable. We didn't asked to be hit by their insured drivers nor do I believe anyone without a valid DL or SSN should be able to purchase insurance much less, drive a vehicle.

Rear ended by an American Access insured on 1/8/15. After 10 voice mails and an email to webfeedback@aains.com which I was only able to find after searching for company complaints, I finally received a call back from this horrible company. 33 days into my claim and I have still not received one correspondence from this company that was not a direct result of me sending a complaint message to webfeedback@aains.com . 15 or so unanswered voice mails from my adjuster, and 6 unanswered emails. I cannot even get them to send a simple message stating we have received your information and will contact you later.

Having worked for 2 Major insurance carriers and 1 non standard, I know the claims process, I know best practices, and I know how to not let something simple turn into a giant bomb. I had to provide the company with their insured’s contact number, because they did not bother to verify they had correct information on file when he called to setup the claim. I had to obtain the police report and send it in, and I sent them photos of the vehicles at the scene of the loss before they were moved for safety. This company is a joke.

I have already filed a complaint with the DOI, and already filled out all the paperwork to file my civil suit against their insured as they seem completely unresponsive to actually handling the claim. I feel like this company works by ignoring you and hoping you will go away so they do not have to pay any claims. They have photos of both involved vehicles, photos of the scene, an accident diagram, and now the copy of the police report that I obtained for them.

If anyone else is involved with this company I feel sorry for you. I also recommend sending an email to the above address as it seems to be the only way to have anyone contact you at all from this company. Good luck in getting your vehicle repaired in a timely fashion or not jumping through hoops. I really hope the department of insurance takes a serious look at this company and puts them out of our misery.

American Access Casualty on the other hand will NOT approved the body shop's quotation because they said that it is too expensive and that the car can be repaired using used parts. I have told them that I want my car fixed properly but they said, "NO we will give you $2,300 for it. That's it."

They have also said they would reimburse me for my car rental and after I sent in the receipt Claudia said that it is too much.. And said that she can only cover half of it which is total BS. In the end, I had to go thru my own insurance to get my car fixed because they won't approved the quote of the body shop. They are CHEAP and will do everything to get away with it. On 1-11-2015 my wife was involved in an accident. The liable party is insured through AACC. My 2005 Scion Xb was severely damaged - possibly totaled. On 1-29, I received a call from a person claiming to be an adjuster for AACC. He wanted to make arrangements to come and see the car. We live in an alley, off a main street. I explained the issue of our address not being on any map service and asked what time he may be coming out. He responded with a laugh, "I may be there in the morning. I may be there in the afternoon." I went on to tell him that I would change my schedule and be here, so I could explain how to get to our house.

The next day I waited at home for this person to show up. I had not heard from him by 4:30, so I left a message on his cell phone. By 6pm, I decided he wasn't coming. I am not sure what kind of business they are running, or what kind of people they may hire, or sub-contract to. I can tell you that this is no way to run any kind of business. My car is no longer drivable. I lost $145 to towing fees, and since I work on a commission basis - I also lost a $275.00 payday. I should have known what kind of service I would receive after reading all of the reviews on this company.

They approved part of the claim but denied fixing the portion of the frame and the spare tire that took the full force of the impact. I called and left a message with a "supervisor", she returned my call and spoke to me like I was an idiot. She said it was my collision centers fault the claim was approved I explained to her that they can't work on it when the frame was denied. She said they aren't responsible for damage not done on the claim. WHAT?!

She was the poorest excuse for a supervisor that I have ever dealt with. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told I didn't need to that she was speaking to me just fine. How can they get away with conducting business this way and who can I contact? I was also told that if I didn't like how they were handling the claim then I should just go through my insurance company.

They simply advised they were not liable even though the person’s name was on the insurance. Blow my mind how they can have a person on the card but when something happens he is not insured. Might as well just say the person does not have insurance. Just a complete unprofessional and joke, run as fast and as far away as you can. The law states you have to have insurance. On Monday, Sept 2014 My vehicle was involved in a bad accident. I was driving Dodge Dart 2013. I got hit badly by eighteen-wheeler truck on highway I-35. I was driving from southbound to north. The police report was released after five business days from the date of accident. The police report showing that was the other driver fault. My driver side includes driver door, back left door were completely damaged. Beside that my driver side glass was crash. Also, the driver air bag, back door air bag on the left side, and back seat on the left back side were totally came out and destroyed. I have also a big damage on the back left tire, including the tire and ring.

I called American Casualty Company to file a claim at the same day of the accident. I was told by customer representative that I will be receiving a call from them. After a few days, I received called from the customer representative, saying that they need my authorization to release my vehicle from the towing yard to their facilities (Maaco), which is located at 10200 N Lamar, Austin, Texas. I authorized while customer representative was talking to me, in order to get my Vehicle get fixed. After two days, I called them again regarding the status of my vehicle, they said that they need more couple of days, in order to determine how is cost of damage. Since then, I have not heard anything from them.

I gave them around twenty days, but I cannot exactly after how many days. Another side of that, during a whole this period of time, I tried to call the other insurer company (other driver company) I could not reach them. Last week Friday, Nov 17, 2014, I called American Access again about what is latest news. I found out that they proceeded my claim to one of their adjuster. The adjuster name is **. He told me last week when I was talking to him that the damage cost was $5,600. So, ** talked to me so fast and aggressively till I got confused. The way he was talking to me was very bad and offensive. It was like I'm wrong, with contemptuous attitude. Really, I did not know how I could continue talking to him comfortably.

Also, he said that I have to pay deductible which was $1,006 because we have an old accident on the same Vehicle. We had an old accident, it also consider that was the other driver fault, but American Access did not take care of it. However, I told ** when I was talking to him let me find out and call you again. I decided to go to the Auto Shop (Maaco), I took picture of my car. I talked to the manager over there. He told me that the cost of the damage is $11,363.69. Additionally, I told him that about the American Access price which was $5,600. Then he said that price is not even enough for the half of my vehicle damage. I requested him to give a copy of collision estimation, he refused to release it because American Access doesn't allow him to release any information till he gets authorized. I respect that but I was really shock between the price that ** was told and the price that I found out from Maaco, which is considered that is the one of their official facilities.

At the same day after calling **, I told My brother Omar **, who is the policy holder. Because my name under his name as second driver. I have decided to let him to speak on my behave because I'm still having a lack of speaking English language very well or fluently. On Monday, Nov 17, 2014, Omar call ** again to negotiate about the cost of damage. Omar was told by ** that the total price of damage in order to get my vehicle fixed was $4,500, that was not even the amount that I was told or Maaco disclosed. When Omar told ** about Maaco damage price, ** said "I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT MAACO SAID, THEY CAN SAY WHATEVER THEY WANT, THIS OUR LAST PRICE FOR YOU."

Omar asked ** if he can get any other estimate from Dodge Collision dealer, ** refused. I have been treated so bad and unfair by American Access Casualty. On the other hand, I'm suffering financially because I have been paying my car payment since was accident happened till now, and I'm not driving even any car. Stop paying my car payments, can seriously damage my credit history. I'm so demoralized. I borrow my friend's vehicle considering to keep up with my school classes. I haven't received any written letter for American Access since I called them under the federal law, whether my claim was denied or approved. Also, I have not received any written letter showing that their own estimate. Even though they considered Maaco is the cheapest Auto shop in Austin Area and is considered as the one of their official facilities, they did not care about their price. I'm sure that this is fraud and misleading for me, because I'm foreign and I have accent, or considering me as person who does not know what is the rule under the Federal Law.

My parked vehicle was struck on 7/22/14 and we contacted the at fault driver's insurance company immediately. AACC told us we would have to take our car to one of their repair facilities to be appraised because there were no adjusters in our area. We did this on the 23rd and the facility we were directed to was very dirty and unprofessional. We did not hear back from AACC even after calling and leaving messages. I finally reached the insurance adjuster assigned to our claim on 7/28. His name is Chris **, phone #630-645-7756 (we were not given an 800 number to call). On the 28th he told me none of the paperwork had been completed yet but he would get back with me.

I left a few messages and finally received word back from Mr. ** on 8/5, that AACC had finalized the claim. They were offering what seems to be a very low amount for the damage inflicted on my car and wanted me to accept a check from them to take care of the repairs myself or take to their facility. When I told him I was taking the vehicle to my dealership where it was purchased he told me that they would not pay what the dealership charged, and I would have to pay the difference. I told Mr. ** this is where I wanted to take it, and they are liable for the repairs but again he said they would not pay if I went somewhere other than their facility. I requested the estimate in writing before the end of day and told him I was taking it to the dealership and would get their estimate. He agreed to do this but stated again that they would not be paying unless we took the vehicle to their shop.

I then called back and spoke to Mr. **'s supervisor, Kathy **. She stated over and over that they would not pay the cost of damages to anyone other than their repair facility. I told her that this was illegal to require me to go to their facilities. I again requested the estimate in writing which she agreed to but stated again that she was sure the dealership would be more expensive and they would not pay them.

I also requested a rental car and at first she agreed that they would do this with Hertz Rental but after I refused to take my vehicle to their facility again, Kathy ** stated that if I wasn't going to their repair shop then she would not authorize a rental because we would just end up arguing over money with this as well. It has been a few days since this conversation and I still have not received their estimate in writing. After researching this company, I have found numerous complaints regarding their behavior and practices. They need to sanctioned or shut down. AACC is involved in illegal insurance practices and stealing from consumers. They cannot be allowed to continue.

When I made the claim I told them there was no glass on my street so it had to be with a tow truck. That was the only way it could be done and there was a police camera not even a half of block down - to get a copy of it. They told me that was not possible. I called and they told me it was public record and told me what to do. Well bottom line of all this is that they don't wanna pay me my car which is wrong. They said the ignition was not broken. I told them they had to have a tow truck, but they put an excuse on why they won’t pay it. But it won’t stay like that because it’s gonna be more expensive when I’m done suing them for insurance fraud.

On March 7th, 2013, I was involved in an accident with a person who was insured by this company. The accident was clear cut-and-dry the other driver’s fault. This incident was especially upsetting to me, because I had JUST purchased my vehicle two weeks prior to this accident. This incident started what was going to be a very long and stressful two months of my life.

Within the first week after my accident, I heard absolutely nothing from this insurance company. I only have liability coverage at my insurance company so I had to wait until the Police Report was available before they could help me. It took the local Police Department where the accident happened a week to have the accident report available. On the day it was available, I picked it up, paid ten dollars for it and then took it straight to my insurance company. They immediately called AACC to begin my claim. AACC told my insurance company that within 24 hours, I would be contacted by one of their adjusters.

I waited 48 hours and still had heard nothing from AACC, so I decided to give them a call. I had a claim number that they had given to my insurance company and when I typed it in on their automated system, it just kept sending me to an operator who would ask "How may I direct your call?" I kept getting bounced around their automatic call system until finally I got to speak to someone who seemed to remotely care about why I was calling. I had still not been assigned an adjuster. And the person I spoke to this day was so confused as to why this was, that they claimed to have sent an email to their supervisor regarding this situation.

During this call, I informed this person that my car had been sitting at a tow yard since the day of my accident and was accruing daily charges as a result. They asked me why I was just informing of this now, when the accident had happened over a week ago. I was kind of surprised and the only response I could come up with was "Your client hit me. I have liability, and my insurance company couldn't do anything about it until I could obtain a police report which took a week." Obviously, their client who hit me in the accident did not even contact them to report he had been in an accident.

Finally about two days after that phone call, I was contacted by my adjuster. However, it seemed that the only reason she was contacting me was to see if I had the phone number for their client, because they were trying to contact him and apparently did not have his current contact information. I proceeded to inform the adjuster that my car was STILL in a tow yard accruing daily charges. After this, the adjuster told me that AACC would NOT be responsible for the daily charges accrued in the tow yard. I said, "So you mean to tell me, I was driving, minding my own business, respecting the driving laws. Your client hits ME, and now I have to pay for the tow charges on my car?" The adjuster said, "It does not matter whose fault the accident is. AACC is not responsible for the tow charges."

I was IRATE. I kept asking her repeatedly how that makes any sense at all, and she kept reiterating the same quote over and over. The adjuster was very rude and confrontational with me during this conversation. I was in a panic over the situation so I contacted my insurance company about the matter and even they agreed that was completely absurd that I would have to pay the tow charges myself in an accident that was not my fault. My insurance company called AACC and then the adjuster at AACC told my insurance company a completely opposite story than they told me. AACC had still not determined fault or even seen the police report. My insurance company faxed AACC a copy of the police report. The next time I spoke to the adjuster on the phone, she said they would send an adjuster out to look at my car ASAP.

Another week went by and I still had not heard anything. I decided to call the tow yard just to let them know that my car had not been abandoned and that things were just taking a long time to get sorted out with the insurance company. The man at the tow yard informed me that two days prior to me calling, a tow truck had come and picked up my car. I had absolutely no knowledge that this was going to happen, nor did I know where they took my car. I called the insurance company and they informed me of where my car was taken.

I had never heard of the body shop that it was towed to and it was 45 minutes away from where I lived. I informed the adjuster that I would not give permission for my car to be worked on at this place until I was able to research it. The adjuster agreed and told me that if I do decide to have this body shop work on my car, that I had to give the body shop my permission to get started. She also informed me that if I decided not to have this body shop work on my car, that I would now be responsible for a tow fee to move it somewhere else (even though I never gave permission for MY vehicle to be towed there in the first place).

The next day I spoke with the owner of the body shop, and my boyfriend visited the body shop to make sure they met our standards. We were impressed, so I told the owner of the body shop that they could begin work on my car. I waited about a week and a half, then I contacted the owner of the body shop to see how things were going. On that day, he said that he was still waiting to hear from the insurance company because he had not received approval or payment from them to work on my car.

Once again, I began another livid call to AACC. The adjuster yet again got very rude and confrontational with me. She said, "You said you wanted to research the body shop and then you never got back to me." Um yes, I never called her back because she didn't say that I had to. She only said that I had to give the body shop my permission. Quite frankly, at this point, I was hoping I would never have to make another phone call to the extremely unprofessional and rude adjuster.

The body shop was wonderful and the owner was very professional. But they still had to fit my car into their schedule, and my car had quite a bit of damage and those things take time to fix. I picked my car up today (5-11-13), two months and three days after the accident. My car has been out of commission 82.5% of the time that I have actually owned it and that can be mostly blamed on the unprofessional practices of American Access Casualty Company. They never showed even an ounce of urgency in the matter, even though I was out of a vehicle for over two months. The owner of the body shop said to us that he was extremely surprised that they did not just total my vehicle, because it took a lot of time work to fix a 2001 vehicle that was only worth around $5,000. He also mentioned that he has heard nothing but complaints from every other person that has had to deal with AACC. Imagine that.

My wife's car was rear ended by a driver covered by American Access. What a joke! They denied the claim because, "Our insured has failed to cooperate with the investigation into this matter". They should have just said, "We are denying this claim because we had no intention of paying in the first place regardless of the investigation." Holy crap! While I was writing this review, someone from AACC actually called me back. On top of being rude and obnoxious, he said that there was no evidence that his client was even involved. How else would I have his insurance info?! Like I just flagged down some random person and was like, "Dude, give your insurance card so I can file a claim on you!" This is completely unbelievable!

This insurance company is a scam. Some cheapskate with this insurance ran their car into the side of mine, and this company refused to pay! They said that since he was saying it was my fault that they will not pay because they have to "protect their insured". Give me a break. It takes a special kind of skill, that I myself do not possess, to be able to move my car sideways as I am driving in a straight line and angle it to hit the front of someone’s car. I filed a complaint with the Department of Insurance. If you get hit by someone with this insurance, good luck and get ready for a long battle.

My husband was parked in a legal parking spot on the side of the road and a drunk driver lost control and hit him in the rear. There is no question to who was at fault and why. His company is American Access. Our car was a total and my husband was lucky to be alive. This happened on November 18, 2011. We were offered half of what the car was worth. They said due to prior damage but there was no prior damage. It was from the tow company that had to tow the car. Both axles were broken and the car's undercarriage was sitting on the ground and they had to do what they could to get the car picked up to be lifted onto the flat bed. We threatened to file a complaint with the department of insurance and then they agreed to pay what the car was worth. This was on December 4th and they said they would mail us a check to replace the vehicle.

Keep in mind, we did not have collision insurance and this was our only vehicle. Christmas was coming up and we really needed a vehicle. We called American Access (Miss **) and she assured us the check was mailed and that it must be the post office that has the problem. We called every day several times a day and could not get a hold of anyone at this company. Of course, they all had Christmas holiday off so we were left with no car for Christmas and my husband is still in the hospital. We did not get the check until the 1st of January and it was post marked on the 29th of December. They are liars. This company should not be allowed to do business until they clean up their act. All these complaints will do nothing. They have been doing it for years. Just hope you never get in an accident with someone who is insured with this company. And for God's sake if you're insured with them or thinking of it, don't.

American Access (Liliana) stated that they could only pay 80% of the repairs. I agreed with her. And she said their reimbursement check was in the mail. It has been three weeks, and I have not received any check from them. It sounds like I may need to hire a lawyer and go after this company. It shouldn't take three weeks to get a reimbursement check in the mail from Illinois.

She contacted the insurance company first thing Monday morning and was told they were going to pick up the car and bring it to their body shop. That was the last time we ever heard from them. It has now been three weeks and 47 phone calls later. Not one person has contacted either me or my ex-wife.

Our insurance agent finally got a hold of someone today and was told that they are denying the claim based on the fact that my ex-wife was driving the car more often. This was a complete fabrication. She drove the car twice since I bought it. I noticed that they have no problem cashing my check, but returning a phone call is impossible. This by far, is the most unprofessional and shady operation I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

By the way, they still have my car and still have not contacted me. I switched to Progressive. I might have to pay more but at least, I won't have to deal with scam artists like this. I have retained a lawyer and do plan to sue due to the amount of time I have been without my car and the complete disregard for the terms of my policy. Not to mention, the 47 unanswered phone calls. Anyone even remotely considering doing business with these shady characters? Don't. You will surely regret it.

On 4-18-11, I had a minor accident where I had pulled into the parking lot of a convenience store and I thought my vehicle was in park but I felt it roll slightly and I accidently hit the gas instead of the brakes and I hit the exterior wall of the store causing a large dent/crack to the wall. My vehicle sustained only minor damage, broken turn signal light cover, a 1 inch crack in the front bumper and several tiny scratches. Due to the fact that I only had liability coverage, I purchased a new turn signal light because they don't sell the cover only. That part cost me approximately $45. I chose not to have the scratches or the crack repaired due to the cost of that repair which wasn't necessary to be done at that time.

A police report was completed and I didn't receive any traffic citations. After arriving at work immediately after the accident, I called American Access and reported the accident to them. I informed them at that time that there was already a dent in the same wall prior to the one I had created that someone else caused and the owner of the store never had that repaired. I wanted them to know this so that the store owner could not add that damage to this claim because that wasn't my responsibility. When I spoke to the insurance company 10 days after the accident, I was informed that the owner had not even filed a claim yet. I gave American Access a copy of the accident report that day as instructed by the reporting officer and the directions on the form. Last week I received a letter from American Access informing me that my policy would not be renewed as of 9/4/11 due to "unacceptable loss". I was very confused by this since I had submitted all my paperwork in 10 days as I was told to do to avoid having my license suspended, my insurance was paid and I was never informed about anything they paid on the claim.

I contacted them and after talking to 4 different employees of that company, I was informed by a woman named "Mary" in the underwriting dept. that my policy will be dropped because I had an accident and they had to make payment on a claim where I was at fault.

I had too much headache dealing with these ** and crooks. Their estimate was way to low, that with it, you can't fix a bicycle. Their labor rate is $26 (that was what they told me). In any body shop, labor is not under $70 and you can assume what quality of service you will get for $26. They will force you to use their shops or you can take estimate money and fix 10% of your car with it. I paid full price premium for 6 months. I checked with Progressive, they are more expensive just for $50 for the same full coverage insurance policy. They will send you to some lowest-grade body shops and they will make an estimate, even not looking at the car, and based on 3-4 pictures. Don't get this ** insurance. You will regret as I did. They are liars, crooks and rude. I am out of my nerves dealing with Maggy and Ketty, possibly the only employees there. I am wondering who let these crooks run any kind of business?

I got into a car accident December, 2008 and ''American Access Casualty Co.'' was my insurance company at the time. They told me to take my car over to Grand Av. & collision to get it fixed. The car should have been totaled out, but they insisted on fixing it. When I got it back (2-1/2 to 3 months later), I looked around the car and it seemed to be okay so I took the car home. About 3 weeks later, I popped the hood to check my oil level and I noticed that there was a twisty tie on the latch that closes the hood. I thought that was unusual, but I just took it off and went about finishing checking my oil. So when I was finished, I tried to close my hood and it would not close because when they fixed the car, the hood did not line up with the latch on the bottom. So I put two bungee cords from the hood to the bottom of the car to keep the hood from flying up.

And when I got near my house, one of the bungee cords came loose and the hood flew up and smashed my windshield. I called American Access and they said I had to make a police report, which by the way in IL law is not true, so I did. They told me to bring my car back to Grand Av. & collision so I did. They kept my car another 3 months and said they had an adjuster come out there that supposedly said they were not responsible for the damage. I went to go get my car right away and they took my tires and switched them.

They loosened a bunch of screws on my doors, and took a bunch of little parts out of the inside of my car. So as of this date, February 2010, I have been without a car for 2 years that is sitting in the parking lot of my apartment complex that can not be driven. And my car has gotten towed 2 times in the last two years because my apartment complex thought it was an abandoned car because it has not been used and just those two tows alone have cost me over 3,000 dollars

No citation was given to my girlfriend, as she had right of way. My vehicle was totaled out. Their insurance company was appraising my car as a Pontiac SE, not a Pontiac GTP. A Pontiac GTP is $4000.00 (only 4 on ad in the entire US). They are also claiming the accident is 25% our fault, claiming my girlfriend didn't keep proper lookout and should have stopped when their insured pulled in front of her.

I made a complaint with the Nevada insurance commission, and they contacted them. But the insurance company is sticking to their CCC value of $1484.79. Marty at the insurance commission told me that even though the commission agreed with what I'm asking for and that it follows Nevada laws that the insurance company has violations, the commission can't enforce it. We filled in the required by the company form and submitted the requested paperwork. An estimate in determined by American Access collision center Impac Collision was done on 06/19/06.

Recently we received an offer from American Access Casualty Company stating that an estimate to repair our vehicle has been prepared in the amount of $2,298.33. However, there was no copy of the estimate enclosed.

In their offer American Access are stating that they will pay 80% of the cost to repair ($1,838.67) because they are placing negligence on the driver of our vehicle due to a sudden stop.

We strongly disagree with this statement. The police report is clearly stating that Armando Vasquez was the driver in fault who was following too closely and failed to reduce speed to avoid crash. According to his own statement on the scene, Mr. Vasquez looked away for a moment just before the crash. Therefore, the 20% ($460) should not be deducted from the amount for our vehicle repair.

We would also like to be compensated for the sales taxes well have to pay when our vehicle is repaired ($230) and for rent a car while its in the service shop ($625 for 2 weeks). We would ask for your help to receive from AAC a check for $3,154

or written authorization for car repair and rent a car expenses in order to resolve the problem.

We are driving a damaged car for almost 3 months and are definitely concerned with the safety of our family and the risk of further damages that may occur as a result.

We would like to mention the impoliteness, ignorance and slow reaction of the staff of American Access Casualty Company, which makes communication with them very difficult.
