I got the 12-foot ThermoSpas Swim Spa with the four seats, which is nice, and the current in the middle. The rep said the speed is 3.5. It's a good speed, but I could have taken a little more speed. Whatever you pay, you need to add on 8,000 to 10,000 because you gotta get the insulation. But it's worth the money.

Our experience working with ThermoSpas was kind of messed up. The guy that sold it to us was pretty cool, but I wasn't very impressed with the rest of the process. Somehow, nobody charged me for it the whole time. I had the spa for a month before I actually had to pay for it, except for the $1000 upfront. Also, it took a year to get the darn thing and on top of that, I had no communication for a long time. I thought someone came by, took 1,000 of my dollars, and went to Disneyland and that was it. They told me it would be a long time, but I thought they would email about every couple of months saying, "Hey, your order is still on track to be delivered whenever." Other than that, the delivery guy was really cool and helpful. They didn't have the install included in their end but he still gave me pointers.
Hello Michael,
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us this review. With the help from feedback such as yours, we have made improvements with customer contact, including more calls and emails checking in with customers to update them on the progress of their order. Additionally, due to availability with materials, we have been able to reduce our lead times for spa manufacturing. Regarding your payment, per our financing process, your first payment isn’t due until one month following delivery. We’re happy to hear you had a great experience with our Delivery team, if you should have any questions in the future please feel free to reach out at 1-800-876-0158.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback as it is essential to us in making improvements.

It was challenging to get the spa to the back of the house but they did a great job. We like it a lot, although we're not happy with the cover. We're still struggling with that and where to go with it. It's big and heavy. I wish there were alternative covers.

The customer service rep put the order in for our swim spa and it took a year to get it delivered and set up. It is everything I wanted. The quality is very good though it is expensive. So, I don't know if I would recommend to my friend, unless the friend had money. The experience with ThermoSpas has been great but they could do more instructional videos. I had to figure out by myself that you can't have both jets on. You can only have one jet on in order for it to push you back. I tried to YouTube it and couldn't find it.

The swim spa from ThermoSpas is big enough but not too small for the backyard. You can have enough current so you could swim inside of the spa and you can also perform other exercises inside of the spa. We had a gentleman come out to the house, which was how we did the review of what they had to offer. So, it came out well. The spa comes standard but I added the cover that comes with it normally and a couple of exercise accessories. And I changed the color to gray and brown. The swim spa is awesome and looks very nice. For the installation of the spa itself, the installers did a good job. They were very personable and did it quickly. They knew what they were doing and they set everything up before the actual spa got there from a crane. We had a crane to raise it and lower it. It went over our house and then, it went inside of the backyard. So, it was cool.

We haven't had any issues with our swim spa, but in the long run, I wish we would have shopped around. Thermospas told us it would be at least 16 months before we could get it, which is a long time to give them over $7,000. That would be a big deal for anyone. If we had checked around instead of just jumping in, we wouldn't have it. We have two places here in Wichita Falls that sell swim spas and hot tubs, and I would have gone with a local place.
It took 18 months to get our swim spa. Thermospas delivered it the first of March, and the guys were great. They were fighting a storm that was coming in. We told them, "If it's raining, you can't get to where it is." However, they got there, got it unloaded, and then it dumped. They got their truck out, then they did what they needed to do. They got it in there, and they put up all the stuff. Everything is good. We sit in the hot tub part four times a week and it's very relaxing. We've had the swim jets on, but we haven't had a chance to use it as the swim spa. All in all, I like Thermospas, and I would recommend it. However, I would tell someone to check around and go with someone local, so that they don't have to wait a year and a half.
Hello Leanna,
Thank you for your honest feedback and review. We understand it was a long wait and appreciate your patience through the process as we worked towards reducing lead times. Our spa arrived in September. We had it for seven months and we could never use it because of excessive leaks in the piping. The service guy took four weeks to come to fix it. He fixed the first leak, but he made a larger leak in a different part of the pipe. He came out to fix the second leak and he could not fix it. He told us to ask for our money back. We asked for our money back and the owner told us we could only have our money back if we were willing to pay the $5,000 shipping costs back to the factory in the East. We said we would pay the cost if we could be rid of the spa. It would be worth $5,000 to be rid of it.
We had it for seven months and we never got to use it because of the leaks. We could never fill the spa because of the leaks. A really terrible spa. Do Not buy one. We are so sick of Thermospas. They only have one decent employee, and she is a phone receptionist. Do Not buy, you will be sorry if you do. Avoid this company and buy one locally near you.
We’re so sorry to hear about your experience. Typically, we do not do spa returns since this is a custom-built product. Due to the overhead costs to retrieve, store, ship and dispose of the spa, a fee is required. In these situations, we encourage our customers to allow us to perform the needed repairs to the spa, especially since these repairs are covered under your warranty. In your case we had attempted to complete repairs but needed to order an additional part to completely resolve the issue. Unfortunately, there was a delay in parts being delivered to the local field technician for them to schedule your final service visit in a timely manner. Despite our National Service Director reviewing this information with you and offering you compensation for the delay, you had relayed you wished to return the spa rather than pursue repairs. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and hope this helps better explain the situation.

I love my new spa. It's the perfect size and the temperatures are awesome. We're still waiting for the guy to get back to us about the ladder. Also, we're building a pergola around it to cover it so that we can not be under the sun so much. But it was difficult to find somebody with customer service to return our call or email. There was nobody that I could find at ThermoSpas that could help me. All I wanted to do was pay it down and find somebody who wanted to take my money. I found Bethany who asked me to just be her contact from now on so that I won't have this problem trying to get people to call me back. She said to me, “Listen, I'll just be your point of contact when it comes to paying it down. But as far as questions about your ThermoSpa, I'll try to track people down and have them call you."
At first, I started thinking maybe this is not a real company. It was putting me in a lot of anxiety thinking that I was paying down to a fraudulent company. But when I got in touch with Bethany, she assured me that that wasn't the case.

The variety of settings and jets allows for a multitude of ways to enjoy the swimspa. The barbells that came with it are great for water resistant exercise. The swim noodle allows you to lie back and relax and drift with the flow of the jets. The seats provide many different levels of therapeutic pressure. I must add, my Thermospas agent, Simon, has been awesome. He came when the spa was delivered to assist in explaining all the features. He has not only been available to answer any questions, but even came over to assist helping me drain the spa. Above and beyond service!

We apologize for any miscommunication regarding the financing and cancellation process. Our records show that a representative was able to further discuss this information with you, confirming the 6.9% rate as noted on your contract but you ultimately wished to not proceed. Our spa was ordered 10/10/2020 and due to Covid delivery was delayed. This we understood. Delivery was 6/28/2021 and we were misinformed on how to fill it, chemicals to use, and NO entry steps. We had a tear on the cover & a rusty exercise kit (they did replace both). The exercise mat lifts on one side (never addressed this). Since then it has been a "flo" issue. They have replace a part 3x and it's worse now than before. The spa makes jet engine sounds and heats itself beyond what we set. Example: we set to 92 degrees and it goes to 100 degrees. It takes at least 1-week or more for them to schedule, 30-days for a technician to come out. Now we get the runaround of "no one available at this time". We are frustrated and at our wits end with this. No reasonable solution has been given or offered.
We sincerely apologize for the delay in repairing your Spa. We see a part was needed for repair and with the current supply chain shortages, it took some extra time to be delivered. Our records show the part has since been delivered and our Service Department has followed up with your local service technician and requested they contact you for scheduling, you should expect to hear from them soon. If you should have any further questions, please contact our Service Department directly at support@thermospas.com or by phone at 1-800-833-7727.

We waited 8 months for delivery (2 months later than expected) for our 12’ SwimSpa. Thank you Covid! We were so excited to finally get it after all those months of anticipation. Finally, our SwimSpa was delivered, we filled it and began to enjoy it. That lasted a few short days as we soon discovered that the spa doesn’t hold water. We called to have it repaired and the service team found that some parts were needed to make the repair. We have been waiting now 3 months to receive all the needed parts.
We have called & emailed customer service multiple times to find out when we can expect delivery of the last needed part. Each time we were told that they have no power to help us because they don’t speak with the parts or shipping dept. and we are given no direction as to who we can contact. We are paying for a huge lemon with no hope of using it anytime soon. Next month will be a full year from the purchase of the spa and as far we are concerned, we still have no spa. It has been so difficult to get any help or information from ThermoSpas. No one is concerned about your satisfaction from beginning to end as all departments work solitarily. Heaven forbid you need to get any help or direction. But, they are happy to take your money! Unhappy Customer
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, as you may be aware, the Hot Tub industry has been experiencing an unprecedented surge in demand, as people are choosing to make the best of staying home and investing in their health and wellness. We at ThermoSpas are striving to meet this high demand while working through the resulting supply chain shortages that are ultimately causing delays in getting some parts needed to repair your Hot Tub. Additionally, we are facing challenges due to COVID safety regulations forcing reduced staffing to help reduce the spread of COVID-19; we are currently working on navigating ways to improve communication with customers and provide them with timelier updates including, hiring more staff remotely, creating automated updates and providing additional ways for customers to contact us.
Our Service Department is working on securing the part needed for your Hot Tub and will update you as soon as the part becomes available. You may contact our Service Department directly by emailing them at support@thermospas.com or calling 1-800-833-7727.

This is an update to my previous review "Love my swim spa but product support is woefully inadequate". ThermoSpas contacted us to discuss our concerns and issues. They literally had a conference call with us and all of their department heads to brainstorm ways to address our issues. A technician was sent out to make the necessary changes and I couldn't be happier with the results. If I had any doubts about their customer service and product support, I do not anymore. They have gone above and beyond to make a fantastic product even better and have been quick to address all of our issues. I couldn't be happier with my ThermoSpas Swim Spa and the customer service and product support that we have received.

I love to swim, so I finally decided to pull the plug and buy a swim spa. We decided on a ThermoSpa Swim Spa because of the solid construction, warranty and ability to repair the unit relatively easy. The advertising stated that the unit could be configured with extra jets, but when the sales rep showed up, he said we had two options to choose from and it was not possible to customize the unit. Since this swim spa was newly developed, neither the sales rep nor the installer knew much about it. The sales rep provided us with erroneous information about the Diamond Package swim spa. If we had been provided with the correct information about the two models, we would have chosen the Diamond Package over the Platinum Package. We never received the information about it that was promised. It was delivered with a scratched panel and we never received a replacement panel.
No one from ThermoSpa ever contacted us to see if we were satisfied with the unit. The documentation that we did receive with it did not clearly explain how to use it - we just had to figure it out through trial and error. I love the unit and use it regularly, but I sure hope the company backs it up if anything ever goes wrong with it. To date, the product support could not be worse.
Ms. Kavanaugh,
Thank you for the opportunity to discuss your service needs. If there is anything we can do to help in the future please feel free to contact me directly.

I needed a deep swimming area for the type of exercises I have to do, so a regular hot tub wouldn’t work. We did lot of research and ThermoSpas was just the best value for the money, the best service and was what I needed. Their reps came to the house so I was able to talk to them personally. They looked at the backyard and tested the patio to make sure it was gonna work for that weight. Their service was all around and everything was very good. We bought one of their products that was just in the warehouse but it had everything that we wanted in it, so it worked out perfectly. We got it for physical therapy as it has a range of things for us to be able to do, like swimming, having water therapy and doing exercises. We absolutely love it. It should last for years and years. We made the right choice. I appreciate their service and their responsiveness. Also, when there was a part that hadn’t come yet, they sent it right away.

I've been wanting a swim spa for six years. I had my apartment and I was like, "Okay, I'm gonna get me a swim spa." Then I got my house built and finally, I made the decision that I can afford it. And the reason I was gonna get one is because I have Crohn's and I have really bad arthritis. That helps me where I can work out in the spa, because I can't jog and lift weight anymore and I can do that in the water.
I told ThermoSpas' reps what I wanted and they delivered. I paid half in the beginning and the rest of the half when it was all finished. And the guys that delivered were great. They were very knowledgeable as far as what they were doing. The spa is too big for them, but they did really well. They had to take it and put it upright and they brought it over my house. They put it down where it was supposed to be and they were perfect. I got the largest one and it seats seven. When you sit down in the seats, it vibrates and it starts from your neck all the way down. Also, I can't go in the ocean but in the spa, I can swim in it. I have everything done in all in one.

My wife and I went online and took a look at different swim spas. We stumbled on ThermoSpas and then we decided to get a price and have a salesman come out and explain what ThermoSpas is all about. And we were impressed with the presentation. We were also impressed with how sturdy the spa is built and the warranty. It was a big gulp as far as the cost but we got a swim spa with all the bells and whistles on it. Their delivery team was outstanding as well. They had our 7 x 14, 3000 pound spa hoisted over the house in a very large machine and they set it down. That process was quite amazing and it brought a few of the neighbors out to look at it. The whole team was extremely friendly and they explained everything.
We had the spa installed on a Thursday and the electrician came out the next day. He hooked it up and we've been using it ever since. However, there were a lot of buttons to push on this swim spa and the operating manual isn't as specific in some areas in explaining. So I called the customer service and the sales reps and I talked to a fellow in Connecticut. He was very helpful and very detailed. My salesman has talked to him a few times about some issues just to clarify and he has always been available. I've had a good experience.

I wanted some recreation in my home and I always wanted to purchase a pool home. Since I don't have one, I chose to purchase a pool spa instead. ThermoSpas was accessible and once the salesman explained it to me, I was absolute in choosing that particular brand because it seemed reliable and safe. I had read up on a few other spas and I didn't want any problems. I purchased the Swim Spa Trainer not only because of the features, but also because it would be therapeutic for me and my family. I've got a couple of medical conditions that it can help me out with.
The ThermoSpas team was also very thorough and helpful. They were right there. And it was the same with the installation team. Trying to add water to the spa is complicated though. I've had to call them out twice to help me with that. That aside, the pool spa is in great quality. I got what I paid for and I would definitely recommend ThermoSpas Swim Spas.

I'm an old man, broke down and I can hardly do nothing. I can't walk much and we figured that the swim spa would get me to move around a little bit. We got the Swim Spa Trainer. It has swim jets on one end of it and the massage chairs on the other end where we got the jets on them. I like it. It’s good. We get in there and it helps. Now, we're moving a little better. We've only missed two days being in it since we got it. The guy who set it up told me what to expect and how often we need to clean and take care of it. He showed me how everything worked. I've already recommended ThermoSpas Swim Spas.

We got the ThermoSpas Swim Spa Trainer to get more guests for our vacation rental. The installation involved having the spa taken over a two-story house and wires so that was exciting. I had to have access big enough from the front yard to the backyard and they did that very professionally. They also took my old tub, put it back on the flatbed truck and delivered that to my personal home from the vacation rental. That was very nice.
I really appreciated that when they set up the instructions, I was able to videotape with my phone how to make it work. It’s a complicated machine and it was really nice that the guy suggested that. That has also worked out really well for me in passing that information on to the other people that maintain the tub for me. But it would be really nice if they had a laminated copy of how to turn it on and clean it, a piece of paper that I can keep near the spa and not worry about getting wet because Xerox copies have a tendency to run. Once, I made a call to double check what to do when the water was slightly cloudy and the person I talked to assured me that doing shock would probably clean that out and we didn’t have to change the water.
The tub is pretty idiot-proof too. You just keep pushing buttons and certain things happen. The tub has been a good way for us to rent the property. We got several bookings in the last three weeks and I’ve got to give the spa credit. Also, it's quality is excellent. It's higher than the quality of the tub I had before. If you can afford it, go for it.

My wife loves to swim and we used to have a rectangular pool that was good for swimming laps. But for the last eight years, we’ve been in our third home and the pool here is a smaller, more decorative-shaped pool. My wife doesn’t get the exercise she once did. We talked about it and I asked her if she thought she would use a pool. She said she didn’t even know if she would like it. They’re pretty expensive and it was a good-sized gamble. We looked at several brands but after the gentleman from ThermoSpas came and talked to us, we felt that ThermoSpas was the route to go. We got the one that’s got all the bells and whistles.
They didn’t deliver the week that we thought they would though. It was two weeks late but the team has been very cooperative and I have but one regret. My wife is always taking care of the tools, like the testing. But she wasn’t there when they delivered it and the guy was very detailed. So I told him that I would like him to come back when I knew my wife would be there and do it over again. But I never heard from him again. I called the gentleman who sold it to us and he said it’s expensive to do that. He said that they’ve got great and professional people on the line who can answer the phone and walk us through that very well. But it’s not the same as having somebody out there to show her how to get that filter out like he did to me. It worked a lot and that’s the only thing that I wish we could still do.
We’ve enjoyed the pool a dozen times in the last five weeks, but there’s no swimming to speak of yet. We were hoping that we, or at least she, would get in some kind of repetition, to go out and swim at 6 o’clock every evening for 30 minutes. That hasn’t happened yet but our hopes are still up. The quality of the pool is good so far. It is steel all the way around and it’s a very strong structure. ThermoSpas has a great product.

I wanted a pool but I didn’t want the maintenance. We're only two people and I like that I can use the swim spa year-round. The Swim Spa Trainer was the biggest and we've used all of its features such as the swim portion and the lap portion. Also, I and other women sat around and we've done the therapy part. They have two seats in this particular model that are massaging jets. I really like the blower that provides resistance so that you can swim into it and stay stationary. The Swim Spa Trainer is also a little lap pool and I do a lot of physical therapy stuff in there too by the vacuum frame. It's good for me physically as it's medicative. I've had a rough few years and my current physical stance is the best.
The Swim Spa Trainer is a great entertainment. My 10-year-old daughter and I jump in it at night and have fun. It's 30-degrees out and it's fabulous. On Thanksgiving Day, I had my family in it and we had a blast, and on Christmas evening, I had some blocked time to have a spa. The Swim Spa Trainer is more expensive but I have people I can call at a moment's notice. The service has been fantastic whenever I have any difficulty or question. I live in Rhode Island and ThermoSpas is a Connecticut company, so I'm going to support them the best I can. I'm thrilled with the product, but I wish they could make a bigger one and add some features, and come up with a motorized cover. The pool has a cover, so the heat stays in and I don't have to worry about debris getting in the pool. The cover is very heavy and that's fine. But I can see myself if I’m swimming in it from my injury, I'd have a hell of a time using it.
The Swim Spa Trainer is self-cleaning, which is its best feature. I have other friends and family who've had different types of hot tubs and spas and maintenance is always a pain, but not for me. All I have to do is maintain the right chemical and weigh things down every now and again. When you have somebody paying $40,000 for something, more than likely he or she won’t mind paying another $5,000 to do an add-on feature that many people would take advantage of. There are people who would be willing to pay for it, like me. I had the money to put in an in-ground pool and I opted not to because of the maintenance. If somebody wants to deal with the joys of a pool, and not the size of a pool or the tech plan applications of a pool, ThermoSpas Swim Spas is the way to go. It's phenomenal.

In October of 2009, we purchased the Aquacisor, the exercise hot tub from ThermoSpas. And since the day we purchased it, my son says we should have spent $10,000 more and get the swim spa. So, eight years have gone past, the kids have graduated from college, and have taken their masters, and then graduated from their masters. And now, I have some extra money. That's the reason we purchased the swim spa. Good thing, we know the product. My son understood the chemicals that go with it so we just felt it was a good purchase. And so I easily gave the hot tub to a friend of mine. Hopefully, one day he would install it.
So far, the tub works fine. I would highly recommend it to anybody who would get a hot tub. Additionally, while their technical staff is fine, I didn't like the attitude of some of the other people. But there's nothing you could do. Still, I like the product. It's not that hard to run and my electricity bill hasn't gone up so much. Thank God, I don’t have to watch every cent. So I will buy another swim spa and then take it to Maryland. As for the hot tub we had previously, we had to replace three out of the four pumps because they were overused. So, it's like my friend is getting almost a brand new hot tub.

I thought the swim spa would be a good exercise for my husband and the rest of our family could enjoy it too as it had a lot of seating. It was big enough without being a pool. We had looked at two other companies but one didn't have the seating. They didn't have a lot of the options such as the accessories like the lights and the Ozonator. Some of them were really just a big hot tub that didn’t even have the handles to hold on to. Also, ThermoSpas seemed to offer a better quality.
Their reps were very helpful in explaining everything when we purchased the swim spa but the installation had been a month later than I expected. That was my only disappointment. The people who installed it were great and everything was good. But the swim spa came with a cracked piece of fabricated wood on the trimming on the outside. The customer service reps handled it well but they sent me a replacement that also came cracked. So I called the company up and they sent me three more pieces. Aside from that, the cover on the swim spa was electric and self-opening so it would be easier if we didn’t have to open it. Plus, I thought it was going to open the other way and when you’re sitting, the two ends block your view.
I was also rushed to an explanation about how to operate everything. There was a lot of information and it seemed a little too quick for me to absorb the whole idea of how to run it and the chemicals to put in. They showed me how to get the basket out but it was so quick and by the time I had to do it, it had been months and I had forgotten. I called ThermoSpas up about the chemicals and the test for the proper chemicals and the guy I got out on the phone was so helpful. In fact, I kept his number. He walked me through really well for my level.

I've passed on some "great" genes to my children because my grandfather had ankylosing spondylitis just like my son has from which you get totally stiff and rigid, where everything fits together and you can't bend over. Or if you get to bend over you can't stand up. Also we've all got scoliosis really fast which I got from my mom. My daughter and my two sons and my granddaughter inherited it too. I got the big tub that seats 12 from ThermoSpas so we can all get in it. When the installers were putting the walk downs on the tub the wood looking stuff split. But they sent me another piece of that. I just need to get somebody to help me with put it.
I purchased our spa because of the jets in the neck area. Mine is an upgraded version and I've got different features like waves and from what I read we can adjust it better. We've all got arthritis and we can't run so I also like the resistance tool so we can hold on and do some kind of treadmill. All my grandchildren and everybody that's been on the tub loves it.

I need ThermoSpas because my legs hurt so much as well as my whole body. I found out that ThermoSpas can give you a massage. I also need to lose weight. I always have the pool and I miss my pool but keeping a pool heater takes a lot of money and this one is smaller. I did a lot of research and I already knew what I want. I purchased the latest model, the best that they got and I paid $36,000. It has the jets and the resistance feature that allows you to swim in place.
The reps answered a lot of my questions about chemicals. The delivery went fine and they put it the way I wanted it. They didn't show up in time but they told me when they were coming. They had a problem with the address and then the set up took most of the day. The only thing that I'm unsatisfied with was the steps. I have to push an electric lift to get into the pool and that's the only way I can get in. The steps are too high. I'm a handicapped person and I cannot reach the top There's nothing to hold on the side and I cannot walk the steps.
Marie,
I hope your new steps we sent are working out well and that you have been enjoying your hot tub. As mentioned on the phone, please feel free to contact me directly if there are any further issues.
Sincerely,Tom

We are relocating our home. Our former house got a pool and a hot tub so my wife also wanted a pool and a hot tub in our new house. Since a pool is a waste of money we chose a ThermoSpa swim spa and it enabled us to have the best of both worlds. We can use the tub year-round. The tub is large enough to be considered a small pool and it definitely has all the therapy in jets and controls to be a hot tub. It’s expensive but I've owned and operated a pool and they're a lot more expensive than ThermoSpas. I’ve had others before purchasing ThermoSpas and they didn’t meet the criteria because they did not have the large swim spa feature.
The guy came out and spent a few hours to talk it over oppose to the pluses, minuses and all the questions. It was worth having them come to us versus me since we live in a rural part of the country. I probably wouldn't have purchased it yet if it wasn't for that guy. But one feature in hindsight that I would like to have seen is a control that was to the side, If I wanted to just open it up, check the chemicals on it, check the temperature, it's kind of awkward to be able to lean over the middle of the swim spa to get at the controls. Whereas if there's something a little bit more remote or to one side or the other it doesn't put this way like anytime I'm around it if I'm not going to get in. I take my phone out of my pocket and clear it off the edge and I don't want it to fall out and "Oops, there it goes." That to me would probably the biggest feature I would like to have seen added.." But we’re very happy with the purchase. My wife loves it so I'm a happy guy.

My wife has a health condition so I bought a swim spa from ThermoSpas. We got the trainer unit because she needed something that's lightweight where she can swim low to keep her activity up. But it took us two months to get the unit after we purchased it. It was said that it would be there probably in four weeks and then it went to six and then eight and then finally it got there. My wife called around four times. We had to do repeated calls to get it delivered. But the installation was easy and it's definitely a quality product. It's doing what we purchased it for.
