We had Safe Streets install a new ADT alarm system in our home. The did not tell us about the extremely short warranty on the system. It's nothing but a run around and blaming everyone else for the problems we've been having. We've had to pay to have our system repaired twice now and the system is only 5 months old. The staff at Safe Streets is rude and incompetent. They charged us over $5000 for the installation and they obviously installed the system wrong to have all the issues we're having. DO NOT USE SAFE STREETS FOR ANY ACTIVATION SERVICES THEY OFFER!

I was told I would recieve a referral bonus for a customer I referred. After 3 I'm still waiting. Talked to the manager that made the offer and he just says I'm working in it. I feel betrayed and used. I will never refer anyone else.

So they do the install, get you set up and sign you up for the contract and then they pretty much ghost you. Try to get him to come back to help me with alarms that keep going off because of blinds touch them or a cat touches the window, and they would never come back and eventually after three months it’s no longer their problem. You have to call ADT and I had pretty much the same experience with them, they might walk you through doing a fix helping you to re-stick alarm on Etc, but basically they’re just concerned about getting their money and moving onto another customer. I’ve got three months to go with my 36 month contract, only had the alarm turned on for two months!

Signed a contract. They installed the equipment. The cameras didn’t work since installation. Asked for help. They came and fixed nothing. I called for cancellation. They sent me to collections because of the 36 months agreement for a service that I never received. I contracted security cameras service and the service never worked. If you want this, go and try them, they can ruin your credit for not giving you a service.

We moved to Texas from Illinois. Two months before moving in, our utility provider connected us with SafeStreets to provide complimentary home security equipment. We also wanted to add on cameras at additional cost, but the end result was not what we anticipated. I flew into town for an afternoon to meet the installation tech. I was told a variety of things, including equipment I “needed” and other equipment I would “get” to go along with the system. Once it came time for me to leave for my flight, I was provided a contract and invoice for $10k. I know how big companies can be when it comes to payment and I did not have time to review, or I would have missed my flight, so I promptly paid the technician and figured I could address the costs and equipment that was not previously disclosed.
Two months later, I returned to move in. I discovered that my house was covered in sensors and security devices I had not desired. A handful of which were malfunctioning and fall from the doors/walls. Due to the malfunctioning devices, I wasn’t even able to arm my $10k security system. I contacted SafeStreets to have the portion of the equipment that was not requested returned. I was informed that was not an option as I waited too long, despite not living in the same state. SafeStreets came out twice to attempt to repair the malfunctioning equipment, things worked for a day and then sensors continued to break and I was again unable to arm my expensive security system.
I continued to contact SafeStreets over the following two months and each time was informed that the representative would look into my options and I would get a call back. I never received a single call back. Nonetheless, I would continue to contact SafeStreets and I would be informed that my request to return equipment (for a refund or even to have it removed with no refund) was denied by the district manager. I was informed that I waited too long despite not living in state. Each time, I was also told that a new request would be submitted and I would receive a call back. I never received a call back. After asking numerous times and being denied, I was finally contacted by the district manager. Despite SafeStreets coming out twice to attempt to fix the equipment they installed, the district manager informed me that SafeStreets does not do service appointments.
I informed the district manager that was not accurate, as SafeStreets made two attempts to repair their equipment. I was also informed that I had no option to return the equipment and it did not matter how long I waited. This statement again did not reflect the 3-day right of cancellation I was informed about. More so, SafeStreets representatives provided me with conflicting dates as to when the 3-day period initiated. Throughout my communications with SafeStreets, no one would take ownership of the conflicting representations made by SafeStreets agents and/or employees and I was told it did not matter because I could not return the equipment in any event. In the end, SafeStreets was able to make it away with a significant profit and provided me with equipment that has not functioned properly since it was installed. I will never work with SafeStreets again, nor would I recommend SafeStreets to anyone I care about.

Horrible, they lie to you about everything. He told me I was not going to be on a long term contract, at that for 36 months. Pricing that was discussed was also false, I was told that it would be cheaper than was I paying for Vivint, that was false.

Disgusting customer service and business! I just bought google cameras with floodlight this past Sat and on google store webpage SafeStreets is an authorized installer for all google/nest products, so I reached out but was told they wouldn't install my cameras unless I sign a 60-month contract with ADT! The representative was even giggling on the phone claiming the company wouldn't make an exception for an individual.

This company is a complete rip off. Do not use it. I got faulty equipment alarms going off every 3 hours and they won't do anything. Can't get a hold of anybody. Unplugged and pulled all the batteries to make it stop. So now I have no service yet I have to pay for it. Nobody wants to talk to you. Nobody wants to call you back and you cannot get out of the contract! Total rip off! I will be contacting the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.

I signed an Alarm services contract on 9/12/2025. It also contained a notice of cancellation that could be executed before midnight on 9/16/2025. I called in and cancelled on 9/15/2025 prior to the 9/16/2025 deadline. I was informed that, as stated in the notice of cancellation, that any payments would be returned in 10 business days. To date I am still awaiting the Monitoring fee credit.

Beware before signing up! Safe Streets Security locks customers into a 36-month contract with steep cancellation fees. A pushy representative convinced me to purchase a Google camera that turned out to be useless—its night vision is terrible. I replaced it with a SeeVision camera from Amazon that works perfectly day and night. Despite multiple attempts to cancel, every representative refused to stop the $16 monthly charge. This company prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction. I strongly recommend choosing a provider that truly values its customers.

They do not tell you everything upfront. Installer was quoted one price, given another, was not told was a 3 year contract, Was told could use stick adhesive to install everything. Installer made a big hole in my newly remodeled walls. Takes 3 days to cancel (within the 3day grace period). Was rude when come to uninstall.

I regret ever signing with SafeStreets. During the contract signing, the sales rep told me to ignore the cancellation rights written in the contract — total misrepresentation. After installation, the system malfunctioned constantly and the technician even drilled holes into my roof, which now lets wasps into my home. When I tried to cancel within my rights, I was told I’d owe 75% of the remaining contract balance. Customer service and Compliance have been unresponsive, and I had to file a complaint with the NC Attorney General. This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and left me with both financial stress and property damage. Avoid Safe Streets at all costs.

Don’t waste your time and money because that’s all they’re out to get is your money.

Contacted customer service, gave them my credit card info, scheduled installation. I did not get an email confirmation so I called back. They said they have no installers in my area but they never notified me of this. No apology, no sorry, instead the agent said they were too busy on a weekend to tell me I had no install date. I would have been waiting around for installer if I had not called back.

I called ADT and was given information for the installation of SafeStreets. I scheduled an appointment and we discussed in detail the security system I wanted and the cost. What I received was different, and after taking off for 5 hours for the technician to install the equipment, he installed was NOT what was agreed upon. I called his office at this point and wanted all of the equipment removed, but because I signed an agreement, they refused. They also misrepresented the agreement, stating I had signed a 5-year monitoring contract. I am still being billed for both the equipment of $22.83 per month and the monitoring of $49.99.
I have called ADT, and they say I have to call SafeStreets. SafeStreets say I have to call ADT. SafeStreets shows on their end I did cancel the agreement in February 2022 which is not correct but why will they not stop billing me? SafeStreets will no longer speak to me. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office today. I am hoping they will get involved into this company.

Beware read your contract and follow the sales rep around your home to see exactly what they’re doing. I trusted a sales rep in My Home alone over $2000 worth of equipment was installed in my home without me knowing or approving of it, until I received the bill from Synchrony Bank. Safe Street is refusing to remove the equipment from my home and credit me back for the equipment they installed without my permission or knowledge. The customer service and management team are useless. They will not negotiate. They do not care once they have your initial on that contract.
The loyalty team representative was very helpful, very sympathetic and empathetic with the situation, but it was nothing he could do as he wasn’t management. I cannot even cancel the services at this time because I will receive an additional $1600 termination fee that I also was not made aware of from this management team. I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be taking this company to small claims court for a compensation.

Scam. Promised equipment and installation at the outset and was charged accordingly while this company kept standing us up. Did not arrive not only within the time window but didn't at all. As with ADT, this subsidiary is no different. A consumer can't trust anything they say over the phone. Please do not base your precious schedule and time on it. Be prepared for disappointment and financial loss. It's a real mess. You have other options. Safe Streets certainly does not make one feel secure in having an ounce of confidence in them. They really played us for fools. And they've originally locked you into the 2 year contract. Where's the sense in any of that? Buyer beware.

Beware of ADT and their 3rd Party company Safe Streets. We bought a new home and had ADT (Safe Streets) come out to update the existing system. We were supposed to get 2 cameras with our package but the installer did not have them on the truck. Promised to come back the next Friday and no one showed up. No phone call or follow up. It has been a month and still no cameras but ADT most definitely wants their monthly service fee for a system that has not been completed. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! STAY AWAY FROM ADT!!!

They have a team of marketers telling people that the service is free if you pay for install because it's covered by my insurance. They actually mean the equipment is free and you pay over $700 a year for "monitoring". They book their installation contractors back to back to back so they are rushing off to their next appointment and shove the contract in front of you without time to read it thoroughly. Customer Service guy literally said the same thing happened to him...

Got called to set up services by Viviana. She was kind and explained the services perfectly. I wanted to speak with my wife first about the services. She then mentioned that I need to pay the activation fee in order to hold the promotion and it wouldn't be charged until I gave the ok. I spoke to my wife who then said no, we don't need the services. I then tried to call the representative on her extension which went straight to voicemail. I got in contact with another agent and explained I needed to cancel, he apparently knew my name and what I was calling about. Laughed at me and then proceeded to transfer me to Katie, who was very nice and I have 0 bad things to say about her. She was able to transfer me to an account rep named either Derek, Darren, or Daryl.
He said it so fast it was hard to hear. I told him I'd like to cancel and he responds with "so what, you dont want to protect your home?" And I said we are fine getting a system for ourselves. With a very rude and snarky attitude said my account is cancelled and the money will be refunded in a week. I felt extremely pushed to get something done and was treated extremely poorly. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Seems like a big scam.

The fat part of the window sensor was installed on the slider instead of on the wall causing the plantation blinds to not be adjustable to any angle. When I requested a fix, I was told it would cost me another $100. When I pushed back, they lowered the cost to $65 and then some more to $50. But why am expected to pay at all for a faulty installation job? If they are in the business of installing window sensors, should they not take the operation of plantation blinds next to the window into consideration? The sensor on another window with plantation blinds in the house (also installed by the same technician) is installed correctly. So my expectation for the blinds to work isn't unrealistic. Bad business practice to not care how satisfied the customer is. I had no idea that my decision to get ADT monitoring would end up with having to deal with SafeStreet!

Same thing as everyone else. A disgusting legal scam to empty the pockets of veterans buying a home with a VA loan. Beware of ANYONE who mutters the word "concierge". So they tell me it is a $600 install @ $60 monthly. But oh, you have holes in your security. Long story short, it was $2000 install (I supposedly got $1900 in free equipment, laughable), and $70 monthly. Oh yeah, and the early termination fee is... THE REMAINDER OF THE CONTRACT!!! If tell them to stick it, they cutoff service, and I STILL HAVE TO PAY for 3 years of monitoring. I guess us veterans really are suckers. Gross. After 4 days, I called ADT and found out that Safestreets had lied to me. When I reported the incident to safestreets they did absolutely nothing.
