    I bought Ring battery and solar panel from Ring Website. I paid in US DOLLAR, but they return it to me in CAD DOLLAR! I phoned Ring customer 4 times but I still didn't get return label yet. Every agent said "I will send it to you 24-48 hours" but after 5 days, NOTHING in my mailbox. Ring Team used this way to stop me to return the product. DON'T BUY RING! DON'T TRUST THE RING CUSTOMER OR SUPPORT TEAM!

    I bought IRing and it works ok. I paid extra for recorded video. The problem is it starts recording after the person left the video feed. So sometimes I get to see who was in front of my house and many times I don't. Sometimes it even missed the front door deliveries. I called the support line to see if this had a fix (hopefully here) and they said they could help me after 20 minutes with them. I had to call another number. It's just a waste of money and time. Going back to my regular alarm company.

    This company doesn't tell the truth when it talks about safety and security, it is about money and only money. I am at 3 months and still didn't get access to the Doorbell. The Doorbell device comes with the house I bought (smart home). After talking to customer service representatives over the 3 months' time, they still want me to wait for 15 days and more until I get access, that is if the previous owner (or whoever has access) released it. I don't feel safe or secure in my own house.

    Ring as a company should thrive to provide security, especially to customers who are ready to provide all documentation needed to prove ownership of the device. I believe I own the device because it comes with the house, which Ring as a company, already signed the deal with the builder. Waiting 15 days when ownership of the house is transferred is unacceptable. Maybe take note of the Solar company, and have the device linked to the house you are installing them in, and be responsible for your actions. I reached into a deal with a Ring supervisor after 2 hours phone call, and hope the company will work on implementing a better plan for future homeowners.

    The Ring cameras are very good. But technical support/customer service is terrible. A family member updated his security system and he gave me cameras inside and outside. One of the outside cameras did not have a QR code because it came off in the weather. They stated you have to have a QR code to transfer it and set up. They told me I needed to purchase a new camera. LOl. If the QR code is that important then it should be placed in a protected place the weather won’t get it. Very disappointed.

    Once again, the Ring alarm system has failed me. My motion light goes off and so I go to click Live View to see what's happening and it fails to give me Live View. So I log online to see if I can connect there and I get the same thing. There are so many times that I can't arm it because it fails to connect. And no, it's not my wi-fi. I have the most reliable and the fastest wi-fi available because I need it for business. I really wish I would have gotten a better system, as this alarm system cannot be relied on to protect me and my family. And of course there is never any Support to call after hours. Like all burglaries happen between office hours!

    I like the Ring basic product. It is good and reliable. However, I received an email offer for a Stick Up Cam Battery, which is just a battery operated satellite cam for $50 off. I went through the clicks and only $40 was discounted. Finally got in touch with customer support. After an hour, I was referred to another department. Was promised connection would be two minutes. After 5 minutes, I hung up. All for a lousy 10 bucks. Ring, you should get your act together. I question your act.

    This company has some of the worst customer service I have ever come across, they lie about sending verification codes to your phone number & email that connected to the Ring app, the automated system verified my account but they still don't even know in their system that show how dumb their system is. They are obsessed with the Amazon linked device's email, which isn't even the device I contacted them about, they still are stuck on sending a verification code to an email that's not even connected to the RING DEVICE, but an amazon device, I'm contacting them about RING device and they want me to verify my account using the email connected to a completely different device and application.

Two of them refused to transfer me to a US representative....and after a week I still don't have a clue as to when my replacement doorbell camera will be coming....     I have been a long time, early on customer and supporter of Ring ever since I saw Jamie on the Shark Tank. My problem is with both customer service and the product. For the most part the cameras and doorbell work as they should until they don't, enter customer service. The doorbell I purchased early on went out after 2 years, I contacted customer service. Got an American on the phone (back in the good old days before Amazon took over and outsourced). They not only sent me a replacement.They sent me an upgraded Ring doorbell, it is still going strong, happy customer. Now my current issue is with a spotlight camera, this camera is installed our vacation home a distance away. We purchased to keep an eye on our property. We had 2 neighbors alert us that the camera had a loud buzzing noise, we had to drive a distance to see what was going on.

    Unplugged the unit immediately to stop the noise. Went through tech support 10/23/22 and they said they would send a new unit. 2 weeks passed. Nothing, another 2 weeks. Nothing, be patient... It's backordered. Now we're 3 months out. Same thing. I think this is unreasonable. I come to find out through my own research that my unit has been replaced with an newer 2022 model, if my unit is completely outdated and continually out of stock the right thing to do IMO is send the upgraded model ASAP. I am on the protection plan.

    I asked customer service if they could send the upgraded model, yes for an extra $50.00 (I don't see that there has been a price increase since I last purchased so why $50?). ALSO the upgraded unit would arrive in 1-2 weeks (sound familar, I've heard this before). Why so long, I've been waiting 3 months for a replacement already, get on it. I said, "I can order a new model on Amazon and get it here in 5 days, so why 1-2 weeks?"

    I feel uneasy having them charge my credit card and come to find the new unit is also back-ordered. I need a Black unit which seems inclined to not be in stock versus the white unit. The customer service person asked where I purchased the unit, RING.COM, what difference does that make, it's a RING product, I am contacting your customer service to make this right. Just so frustrating, I am now in limbo waiting on RING to deliver, not counting on them to come through anytime soon.

    Someone hacked into my cameras this week - BEWARE!!! Someone hacked into my cameras at around 1:40am Tuesday night, hoping to get a show. Then, he hacked into the 2-way speaker the following night at roughly the same time. That time he spoke to me in a whisper (the entire time). He called me by my full name. He said he was coming over. And I question how much information he has since he knows my full name. This was very creepy, and scary. I am not happy with the way Ring is “handling” the matter.

    This device is marketed to the public as a security device that is vulnerable to hackers and criminal activity, thus stripping Ring customers of any security they intended to gain from purchasing such a phony piece of equipment in the first place. Ring cameras are weaponized against its customers through terrorists who are not held accountable because Amazon refuses to be accountable to its consumers. Shame on Amazon, shame on Ring, shame on Bezos.

    If you insist on continuing to use this piece of garbage make sure you have a firewall, VPN, 2-step authentication, reset your Ring password frequently, reset your Amazon password frequently, set up 2 step sign in for your Amazon as well, and reset your WiFi password and WiFi name (don’t keep the generic name and password it came with). Ring is a joke. Get a real security system. Stop giving your money to a “security” company that isn’t going respond swiftly in a matter where safety is concerned. This was a complete invasion of my privacy. A trespass.

    Peeping Tom and loitering is a criminal activity. In the state of California you need two consenting parties to a recording. When Amazon is not actively/proactively preventing this from happening on their Ring platform then Amazon is a willing participant in the crime that is committed against its consumers. Amazon is part of the problem and misleading the public. Of course I tried notifying my Ring Neighbors, and Ring denied me the ability to warn my community. Something is wrong when the producer won’t let others read your review about their product.

    Apparently, I can only post about lost dogs or stolen Amazon packages on the Ring community. I am not able to post about a real crime that was committed against me, in my home home, with the Ring product. I’ll say it again, Ring is a joke. Peeping Tom and loitering is a criminal activity.     I purchased the floodlights and have 4. When I started my subscription plan it was 30$ per device. I had to leave a card in file! Well last year they took out more than subscription fee and they flat out said that yes it was a mistake but that I would have credit for next year but I said no I want difference refunded back to my card. She said they can’t do that. It is very frustrating because they don’t speak proper English and keep repeating the same thing (miss but you have credit for next year) like it’s a good thing. So I had a 42$ credit because they’re not refunding the difference.

    This year I went to bank and canceled that card because I knew I would be dealing with this unprofessional business practice again. Sure enough I received an email from Ring saying that my payment method is not going through for the amount of 173.00!!! I m so happy I canceled that card! When I called Ring it was the same headache.

    First the language barrier and then the poor customer service. I asked about my 42$ credit from last year because they weren’t applying it and then I was told that subscription plan prices had been raised (without any prior notification). Finally got him to accept the 30$ per device price and apply my credit but that I still had to pay the 173.00 and that I would have credit for next year I said NO! We went back and forth and he said, "Sorry if you don’t pay service will expire in three days."

    Being bilingual I called back and asked for a Hispanic agent and I explained what a frustrating experience with customer service and why I cancelled my card. He was professional, applied my credit and gave me the pro plan which allows as many devices you want for 100$ plus tax. I said, "Great but you're not taking 173.00 and giving credit." He said no. Unfortunately when you sign on for a plan you authorize any fees they want without prior notice or price changes. I paid the new subscription and canceled card again.

    Yes the customer service is horrible and them not being able to understand what they’re saying is a downgrade for Ring. But my floodlights work great I bought them directly from Best Buy’s with protection plan. Several neighbors have been hit with catalytic converters stolen and the strong brightness of light keeps them away. Great product. Poor customer service.

    I purchased the Ring outdoor spotlight cameras (2) brand new from Amazon. I paid a full year subscription for Ring services. I had a software malfunction within 2 months. Amazon would not refund because it was past 30 days. I contacted Ring, who assured me the cameras were covered for one year. Upon receiving supposedly "new" cameras, neither battery compartments would close. I spoke with the supervisor Ken who stated they were new cameras and I would have to provide proof that the cameras were not new. At the bottom of the box it stated "refurbished."

    Ken, the supervisor then stated that since I purchased my Ring cameras from Amazon I would not be entitled to new cameras. I kept complaining and Ken then stated they would be sending me type "A" cameras and I would be receiving them within 7 days. The cameras never arrived. I contacted Ring again, and found out that they are out of stock, and to call back within one week. I called tonight and still not in stock. They gave me a $20 credit towards a new camera. WHY would I buy another set of cameras from them? They haven't refunded my yearly payment for subscription either. HORRIBLE service, HORRIBLE devices.

    I called Ring Customer Service, 10/5/22. Waited on the phone for 45 minutes. I wanted change the Ring doorbell to my name, cause my husband passed away in December. I told the lady on the phone he passed away, and she had the nerve to ask me if she could talk to him to get his verbal consent. I told him he passed away and then she said, "Oh, well do you have the death certificate," I told her yes, she then said, "Do you have a letter that is notarized," I said, "Why do you need that.." Then she said there is nothing they can do to change it to my name.

    I pay the bill every month. I asked her to take my bank account off and I would stop paying for it. She said she cannot do that. I said, "Why?" She said because she needs all this information sent to them before they can do it.. So long story short, it is a waste of 200.00 for the camera that I cannot put in my name or take with me when I move into my new house. Waste of money for sure.. Getting a different one when I move.

    I have had Ring cameras now for a couple of years and as of the last few weeks they are not working when the sun goes down and for most people that is when you want them to work. I have been on the phone with them several times and the only resolution I can get is, call us back when you are with the cameras and it is dark outside. Mind you we have done this already last Thursday from 9pm to about 11 pm. I have a protection plan with them and it seems to not do anything for me. So I am working 12+ hour days, I get in my truck this morning at 5 am and I noticed the camera not working again, I go out back and that one is also not working, I call RING and the lady told me that the people from the advanced technical department will not assist me unless I am home and it is dark out even though the last few weeks they no exactly what is going on with the cameras.

    The doorbell and cams all work beautifully as advertised. However, the incessant up selling and advertising is a joke and very annoying. It happens even with a paid annual subscription to save video recordings. Shameless up selling. Had I know about this in advance, I would have looked at another product like Arlo. The Ring products are good but so are other brands. I won’t buy more products, but rather use the doorbell and cam I have purchased for now, and look at another company when I do decide to replace the entire home security system. The advertising is annoying enough that I’m only giving them 2 stars.

    Bought the Ring pro to replace my ring II. On the phone for 1 plus hours with tech support trying to get the pro to connect. Then I was told to send it back they would replace it. Same issue with replacement Pro! I sent the Pro back for a refund and purchased another ring II.

    I’ve had six different Ring cameras in and around my home for 5 years and think they do a pretty good job. Yesterday I ordered a 14pc wireless system, this morning I looked and the system was $100 less than yesterday.. yet had not been shipped? I called and the Representative was almost impossible to understand and after 40 minutes of which 15 I was put on hold 10 times she could not give me an answer on how to resolve my issue or hand me off to someone who could. I was curious why a company that seemed to have a decent product could be so unconcerned with their customer service?

    I purchased the Ring doorbell which is powered to my electrical outlet. It works and then it goes offline. Customer service is terrible group of people who needs to be retrained and are personnel who think customers don't know what a transformer is. It's the only thing connected to your device and you plug it in. But every time it goes off, some crazy person from customer service is giving me a lecture on what this plug in transformer look like. One idiot sent me a confirmation email with a code to verify my identity and then asked me to take a photo of the plug in transformer so she could see it.

    First there is no point sending a pic which doesn't resolve issue. I did it anyways so she could stop being ignorant. I asked what email shall I send the pic to. She advised the same email that she sent me with confirmation code. Guess what? that is a noreply email and it got kicked back. When I advised her of that, she didn't know what to say. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she questioned me WHY DO I NEED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR. What a pathetic company with unprofessionals. After putting me on hold, the customer service agent Shanice stated there was NO SUPERVISOR available. She refused to give me her employee ID or anything to verify her except a first name of Shanice.

    This has happened several times as the ring system goes offline and you are away from home with NO MONITORING. Guess what, miraculously a few days later it comes back on with me DOING NOTHING. So that tells me that it is their service or feed which is not working and it starts working again. They can't service all the connections they provide but when I call, they would say maybe my wifi is not strong or maybe my power outlet is not producing enough power. It's nonsense.

    I am switching to Google Nest which has much better reviews and more options. Ring is horrible and the service goes off, leaving your house unprotected while you are not home. I have had this service for many months and it was working fine until recently when the service gets interrupted for days.

    There are so many things wrong with this entire system. First of all, when you really need to review the recordings because of an incident, it skips important parts so you don't actually see what happened. We have had people break in, we have had people steal things, and even when I used this for my school I tried to see who accidentally grabbed the stuffed animal and it recorded everything but the actual person who took the stuffed animal we needed!

    It recorded the back of someone when they were breaking in but God forbid they actually get the front of the person's face when they were leaving with all our stuff so we have no way to identify the thief so they can be caught. What good is Ring in this situation? It is constantly skipping incredibly important content which makes the whole purpose for having a Ring system imperative! Why should I have a video system and pay a ton of money to make sure that I can save recordings if the recordings aren't even saving everything that I need!?!

    If that isn't enough, we, God forbid, changed our internet Wi-Fi password and unbelievably I have to get up on a huge ladder to get on my roof and scan the back of the Ring camera in order to reset it? You have literally got to be freaking kidding me! I can't reset it from my computer, I cannot reset it from my phone, and even if I could reset it from my phone I still have to go scan the back of the stupid camera! If Ring really thought about their customers they would think about women like me who are older, unstable on these tall ladders, and on top of that afraid of heights, having to get up there with my stupid phone and scanning this tiny little code on a phone just to get it to reset! It is literally the most unbelievable lack of forethought I have ever seen from a company.

    To top it all off I'm trying to call Ring support and the guy's accent is so hard to understand I had to spend an hour and a half on the phone with this guy and at the end of the day? It did nothing and we no longer have video footage because I'm not going to get on that freaking ladder 8 TIMES and scan that tiny code on the back of 8 different cameras so I am leaving Ring and I want my money back and I'm going to throw these stupid pieces of crap in the trash WHERE THEY BELONG! GARBAGE!

    I had Ring for over a year in California Ontario, no problem, then I moved to Nevada, Las Vegas and then it has been impossible to reconnect to the monitoring service. I called 3-4 times the customer service and they told me only what I could see on the portal. Some message saying that the monitoring would be activated within a week. After 4 months of this run around story I finally gave up on Ring, it no longer works for me.

    I bought this floodlight cam for security on the front of my house. I have a motion sensing floodlight this would replace on the horizontal roof overhang. The website states that the Floodlight Cam can be mounted to a ceiling (horizontally mounted). However when mounted horizontally the camera will only swivel out to 45 degrees from vertical and will only view about 5 feet out which makes it unusable! I called Ring to see if there was anything available, like the wedge mount they offer for doorbells, but there isn't. I'm sending it back since it's useless to me in this condition.

    I have only had my RING doorbell for 2 years and now being told I have to buy a new one. The motion camera only picks up cars and not people, including people on my porch! After obvious troubleshooting (re-installing the app, restarting the RING doorbell itself and charging battery) I’m being told I need purchase a new device as this one is faulty.     I paid hundreds for a spotlight cam and floodlight cam for my front and back doors and additional hundreds to have them installed by a licensed electrician. I’ve spent around $1000 thus far total. The front one stopped working within 5 mins, and the back one within a couple days. Customer service said they’d send replacements, but would not reimburse installation costs, or pay to have the second cameras installed. When the back camera started flashing 24/7 and disturbing the neighbors and my Airbnb guests customer service said I’d have to pay someone again to come and uninstall it, without reimbursement. Ring refused to stand behind their product, refund my purchase, or take responsibility for the defects and their cost to me. I do not recommend purchasing Ring products. I personally will stay far away in the future.

    *In addition, I bought a water flow sensor not made by Ring but endorsed by them. It has also been a constant pain, constantly alerting to me non-issues and turning my water off for no reason. At this point, I wouldn’t even buy products Ring is affiliated with.

    I purchased a Ring doorbell camera and it quit working after 11 months. I purchased a 2nd ring doorbell camera a couple of months ago and it is working fine. I just received a notice my bill is increasing by 25%... The yearly monitoring fee was $30.00 and is increasing to $40.00 per year. This is a substantial increase considering the service they provide. Buyer beware, who knows what it will be in the future.

    I have 5 Ring video doorbells and had always been happy with the service. I’ve been paying +$100 per year for their service agreement that protects each device. I have an issue with one of the devices and they would not warranty it stating that “it’s been removed from my account” which voids the warranty. Come to find out, 3 of my 5 Ring doorbells have mysteriously been removed from my account. I have not done this, they can’t tell me when they were removed or who removed them. The only thing they told me is they won’t honor the agreement. Disappointing that I’ve been paying hundreds of dollars for a service and they won’t honor it on a technicality they cannot explain.

    Ring app has been out for 8 hours and counting! Unfortunately this is not the first and I don't imagine the last time this will happen. I had their security system including multiple Ring doorbells and Floodlight and obviously this is to secure my property. Without the app working properly for extended lengths of time, I don't think this is doing its function even though I am paying for the service which is not rendered. I tried to call their customer service and took over an hour to reach someone who does not seem to care about my situation. In a robotic way, they just simply stated they cannot do anything and can only "escalate" to the engineering department who will not be able to talk to me directly. Only through email. This does not help my situation at all of trying to protect and keep my family and I save from anyone trying to take advantage of this situation.

    When I mentioned this is not acceptable and I may need to use other services/companies that actually can provide the safety I expected from a security system, I was simply told I am out of luck since their agreement only allows for return of products within 30 days. I think if Ring did not provide the service they promised, they should not expect their customers to honor their return agreement either. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by this company.     I purchased this system over 5 yrs ago. When the monthly cost was 16$/yr. The price is now over double that per yr and the service has gotten worse. They raised the rates without any notification. I called their customer service yesterday about issue that "recording not in cloud". Jason was reading his script and going through the check points. Had to repeat several times what the message was as if it was that difficult to understand. Then he expected that I go out to circuit breaker and turn it off for the unit.

    My circuit breaker is in the back, the unit in the front. I was to turn on the lights for the unit and then go through the circuit breakers until found which one turned the lights off. This would take an exorbitant amount of time as well as would take more than one person. I told he would need to return the call today when my husband would be home to help with this. Meanwhile, the issues self corrected, then today 10 more times with recording not in cloud. And of course, Jason did not call today even though he promised to "personally follow up on this issue"' when my husband was home.

    I am looking on internet to problem solve and will also attempt to reboot the system which is what Jason was probably trying to do. Miserable customer service for "a long term customer of Ring" as described by Jason. I would not recommend this company as customer service is everything with technology and its frequent issues. I am now looking for another system as I am done with Ring and their poor customer service.

    I recently installed Ring in my home. Upon downloading the app, I was unable to receive a verification code on my phone. I called customer service at Ring who kept me on the line for 60 minutes, confirmed other customers were having the same issue, and was unable to resolve it, unable to escalate it and unable to give me any direction. I then tried to connect my first device, and needed to remove the face plate to do so. The device comes with a Ring screw driver, and unfortunately I was also unable to remove the screw with this screw driver in either of my 2 front door bells.

    I have had a Ring doorbell and floodlight system installed for 3 years now and although initially pleased both units now need replacing. The doorbell button simply broke in half whilst the floodlight camera is now given pink images. I have contacted ring who are only interested in selling me new hardware but I refuse to invest any more money (£400 approx) if it only lasts this long. Ring not only lose me as a customer but also the monthly contract I pay religiously. I speak as a long term customer who likes the system but cannot justify replacing the equipment every 3 years.

    I am very disappointed with the tech support I received from the Ring Company. I own 4 Ring devices... a doorbell and 3 security cameras throughout the house and I was having a problem connecting to the internet with one of the cameras. After I did some troubleshooting, I called tech support to get some help and one of the technicians had me go through over an hour of troubleshooting. Then he transferred me to another person to do basically the same thing for another hour. The camera was still under warranty and I just don't understand why a customer has to go through this kind of agony before they decide to send out a new device. I do love Ring products but I really hate their customer support! I work with electronic products in-store and I don't think I will recommend Ring products to my customers because of their poor customer support!

    I purchased the Ring Doorbell a couple of months ago. After spending an hour installing it, I reviewed its operation and set my preferences.
    1. Several of the features I most wanted from it was missing, and only available after paying an annual rent of some $39.00. I paid a premium for the product, only to be socked with an annual fee which I refuse to pay.
    2. The camera is slow to recognize motion so that persons approaching my door are invariably leaving before the camera recognizes their presence. My other outdoor cameras, costing half as much to purchase, are 15-20 seconds faster than the Ring. Catching a package thief is much easier if the camera catches a face view rather than a back view of the thief running away.
    3. The camera has no provision for inserting a memory chip or mini to store recorded instances as cameras costing half as much do. This is also one of the features costing an annual rent on the doorbell camera.
    4. They have a "feature" where they connect through your WiFi with all local neighbors, invading all of our privacy rights at once. I turned that monstrosity off.

    5. I've had it too long to send it back for a refund, or I would. I have ordered a doorbell camera costing half as much with a mini-chip slot and a response to motion much faster than the Ring. This one will be trashed, I'm afraid. The Ring has been another failed test of a cheap product sold dearly and with an annual cost.

    The Ring system was very easy to set up. I installed three ring floodlights, a doorbell and a chime pro. I can view all sides of my house and the doorbell notifies me, even if the person doesn’t ring the bell. I no longer worry about things that go bump in the night or need to open my door to strangers.     My Ring doorbell and security camera works great and the app is easy to download, setup and use. It’s very inexpensive to add monitoring to your device(s). Hard wiring these devices is the best, but WiFi is good as long as you keep the batteries charged. Remember usage will drain the batteries. Be sure to utilize the settings to manage your devices and you will get good results. We have been extremely happy with these products that we will install a complete ring security system when we move in 3 months.

    I have Ring doorbell and Ring floodlight. While on vacation I get a notice that my payment which was on autopay did not go through. It said I had 7 days to pay but had to use the computer I originally used which was 1250 miles away. They also said I needed to change the password and when I did it wanted a code only sent to the computer 1250 miles away. I called customer support and they did nothing. They left me after paying for two devices with zero security!!!! I would think twice about using Ring for security as they left me vulnerable with zero solutions.

    The Ring camera was recommended by a neighbor. I am not all that thrilled with it. It doesn't capture everything and sometimes is a delayed response (video). I will have checked all my videos for the day and when I open the app the next day, I see more videos from the day before which were not there before I went to bed. So there is a lapse in posting the videos. I would NOT recommend this product for security however if you want to put one up in your backyard to see what creatures are in your yard, it would be good for that.

    Works great, easy to install, allows you to see and speak to whoever is at your door, makes you feel safe even when you are not home. The cost is minimal around $100 compared $350 and higher for others, there is no monthly fee involved if you don't want monitoring. The free equipment ones carry a 15 to 40 a month fee per month.

    Ring was great during the free recording trial. After I started paying for the service, things went downhill. The speed of which the doorbell would relay the notification, was anywhere from 20 to 45 seconds after pressing. Same goes for motion events. This did not happen during the trial. I spent time with support, but had no luck. Tried upgrading my internet to gig speed, still no improvement. I miss people coming to the door and have to run out to let them know I'm home.

    We purchased Ring about a year ago...had to have a electrician help with the installation. It took awhile before we had it doing what we wanted it to do...I need one in the backyard but I'm going to wait, it registers a small area. The ultimate would be that it knows the difference between family and strangers, so it will only notify you when there might be a actual problem.

    We had a system that notified you when someone was making a delivery but you then had to go across the house to the garage to see if someone was there. Sometimes it would be a bird or animal or wind in the trees. Not helpful. With Ring we know if it is a delivery or not. Great help.

    Continually falls offline, tech support can't get system to fully function for more than a few hours. Instructions were followed perfectly. System works for a while, then craps out. Checked network with Comcast, all in order (everything else works fine). Ring says system is not defective. Will return and order SimpliSafe.

    I was calling Ring on a regular basis to find out why I'm having issues. I've since then learned how to do a restart. First off when the alert tone goes off, you can't see anything on your App because it takes time for it to appear....I don't like that, and seconds count. I've received different answers at to the time it takes to appear..a minute, to a couple minutes. Then, there is a black bar that covers the screen so I can't see the whole picture until towards the end of a complete frame. I recently put our Ring on AWAY, indicating that we were away from our home. Then a barrage of alerts went off inside my home! This has never happened, and when I checked each one...there was absolutely nothing there. Thank God for this. This has happened several times before but it was always outside...not inside my home.

    However, I called my neighbor to check our home just the same. He is a retired law enforcement officer and knows how to conduct a check, There was nothing wrong, no broken windows, no doors breached. This was just way too stressful. I had the Ring in this home for just over one year, and I won't even take it with me when I move....total of 4 devices. I will indeed tell the people buying my home that they shouldn't trust it completely, and use at your own risk. Whenever I call Ring they go through a complete do over. First off you have to remove the App, then reinstall it, then you have to go to Devices, and on each device you have to shut down App Alert Tones, then go to Motion Alerts and shut down Motion Notification where it says Show Notification, after shutting if off, you turn it back on.

    Sometimes the Alert button is not lighted meaning it was turned off. So, you do a test on the Sound, and sometimes it arbitrarily turns on Vibrate which I don't need to have on. Once you check that out then you move onto the next feature, on Ring Alerts, then you follow the same process, you shut down the Show notifications, and then turn it back on and then check out the Alert tone. Now this is for one device, and you must do that for each device and I have four so it takes a while. Once all that is done, I notice that it works fine....for a couple days. Then the process starts all over again, so now that I've learned how to do this, I don't have to call them.

    Besides, I don't like talking to overseas connection because the people will take forever. The people will say 40 words to really only say 5, and I find that most frustrating, and I've told them many times. I figured that they get paid by the time spent, and I don't have the time to repeat myself over and over again, so I always ask for someone in the USA. Sometimes they assist in my request, and sometimes they give me a hard time. Suffice to say, I won't be buying anymore Ring devices for my new home. Way too stressful.

    This system is easy to use and customer service is always available should you have a problem. I have all battery operated items vs hard wired which work but I think hard wired is always the best way to go. You don’t get service interruptions or video problems if hard wired. With battery you can’t place cameras too far from your wifi. The doorbell itself is wonderful. I get issues with the spotlight cams. One constantly gives me black recordings and the other doesn’t have the light come on with motion any longer. I’ve had these products for about 4 years.

    My experience with Ring is quite the opposite. l wish l could say l recommend this system. But it would be a false statement. I had to charge it at least once every 2 wks. The battery would run done fast. Just a little wind blowing would make it go off. It would record. But the video was not very clear. It would ring after they were walking away. The only positive thing about it was. Now it's connected to your local police stations. I would not buy this product. "Buyer Beware".

    The only problem I have is the network. I find that it is difficult to reconnect after the network is knocked off. The troubleshooting is helpful to reconnect but it do not usually work the first time. It has become such a hassle to reconnect that I will discontinue my contract once it expire.

    My grandson gave me a Ring doorbell for Christmas and then my son installed it. Even though he attempted to hardwire it with no success it works well with the enclosed battery and I have a spare as back up. Really like seeing who is at my door utilizing the motion sensor and then being able to speak to whoever is at the door without having to open it. The doorbell chimes on my cell phone when pushed so I get that notification even if I’m not home.

    Two of my security cameras both broke around the same time. Not my fault, just completely stopped working. After troubleshooting they asked for me to send both cameras in and I would get replacements. Only one replacement came. I called to get second replacement to which they said it’ll be shipped. And I come to find out they did not ship. So I paid for a whole system which is unreliable to begin with and I don’t even have all the equipment I originally purchased as I sent it back in. Impossible to get good customer service or someone who can help.

    I called in to change the credit card number used to pay for my monthly subscription fee. After spending over 45 minutes on the phone with them I still wasn't able to get it done. Two years ago I received the Ring doorbell as a gift from my son. When he installed it he used his email address to set up my Ring account. My email was listed as a secondary. About a year ago he was having problems with his email account so he switched services, no longer having access to his old email account. When speaking with Ring customer service they insisted on sending some verification code to the email address which was listed as the primary address on the account. This was my son's old email address. No longer having access to this email account Ring customer service claimed they couldn't verify me. This despite that my email address was listed on the account but as a secondary address. I got no where!

    Three weeks later I needed to call in to register my device again because my internet provider install a new router in my home. I called customer service again and after spending another 50 minutes on the phone I didn't get past step 1 of verifying my account. Almost a combined two hours of my time wasted on the phone with them and nothing was ever done on either call. I immediately cancelled my service and went out and bought one of their competitors video doorbell devices. Over $300 worth of Ring devices were purchased and now I'm out the money and stuck with their devices that can't be used. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

    Ring might have a very good easy to install alarm system but their customer service is the worst I have come across in this time when technology is so advanced. If you cancel some as simple as an order before it was even shipped be prepared for the inadequate and totally inefficient service you will ever receive from a company. Took approximately 10 phone calls and I have to still wait for my refund. I am hoping their alarm systems does not have the same inadequacies. Very poor!!

    I have Blink Cameras surrounding the outside of my home. Thought it would be smart to add doorbell camera. My go to Online store Amazon, order the Classic Ring receive a few days later. That day I spent hours trying to figure out how it works, watch YouTube videos, not working. The next day I was at it again. Called customer support multiple times, finally spoke to a young woman with a deep accent, I asked her to speak slowly so I could try to understand her. She suggested a few things, not working. Ask to speak to supervisor, "No they are all unavailable & would do the same troubleshooting." Kept trying called again, spoke to very professional man, no luck.

    2 nights later my Jeep was broken into right in front of my home, Blink showed 2 individuals at 2:52 am. Stole everything except my trash bag. Received an auto generated email from Ring this morning. Scoured the site. Only found a physical address to utilize USPS, Email contact info stated not accepting emails. So here I am again, nothing. Clicked Facebook icon. I sent a message. Ring reached out to me via Messenger. I explained the above. The person from Ring kept messaging me with all these excuses of why Ring is not working... Now they are stating it is a problem with Amazo.n I requested an email address (from Ring) to share this complaint.... No! But you can give me your personal information...WOW!

    I love the ease of use and installation. Some of the extras are a little pricey like security cameras. The initial kit and the ring alarm are fairly reasonable. I love that there is no contract and monitoring is only $10 a month. I feel much safer having and using Ring.

    I really like "Ring" for the customer service plus for the service cost is really good. On top of all that if someone steal your equipment Ring will replace it at "no cost". Really simple to use and reliable. Call you if alarm goes off and if no answer "Ring" will call the police. Ring work partner with "Wink". I really like them. Customer service phone number is mark everywhere on instructions pamphlets on app. Not hidden on the web like "D-Link". D-Link should learn from them. D-Link just like your money.

    Ps: I really learn something from all that. If you can't see the customer service phone number on your device or instructions book don't buy it. Before I add "D-Link" sensor/ Camera tell you something. D-Link has really rude customer service and equipment not reliable. Really slow. Most of the product they make is discontinue. Really disappointed in D-Link security service.

    The Ring overall is good. The only thing that is not good is the sensors on the wireless cameras. It’s not good at detecting motion well enough. It’s gives a great view on doorbell and spotlight cam. Able to speak and sound siren on the cameras. The price is a little high for the wireless I think.

    As of yet I haven't had any problems. It sends an alarm to my phone and records whenever anyone is on my porch or in my yard. And it saves all recordings and I can also share any suspicious information with my neighbors.
