    Been with Orkin almost one year. Paid over $3k for a five year pest and termite control service at time of sale by a rep who was in my home. Left a reputable pest control service after 11 yrs of service, for Orkin, who was sold to me as phenomenal. I have seen them three times in the last year. I can never get a call back from my local office. I call customer service and they put me on hold while they call my local office, and they also get no answer. They actually took an unauthorized charge on my credit card for $146 for pest control services which I was told was already paid for, for the next five years. I had to change my credit card number so this could not happen again.

    I have spoken to their general customer service reps at least five or six times. Finally, a customer service rep put an inquiry in to the Regional Manager two days ago and still nothing. This is after leaving several messages with my local office, talking to cust svc reps saying they put in requests for the office to call me back. They never called. And to top it all off... I was told almost after one year that my email address was incorrect. I just tried my local office about 15 min ago to no avail. My next step the BBB.

    If I have an issue, Orkin always sends somebody out. Their location isn't necessarily centralized to me, so it's a pain for them to get to me. But whenever they can get it scheduled, they're out in a pretty timely fashion. So I'm satisfied. Their tech comes out bi-monthly or as needed. It's the same guy and I like it because they're entering my home and that's a big thing to have the same person constantly instead of having a number of people come to your home. The tech works outside as needed and I typically just have him do the inside as well.

    Orkin is a really good company and I’d encourage others to use them. They were recommended by the person that formerly lived in my house and they've used them for 20 years. I have them for a month now and the service has been wonderful. They're excellent and easy to work with. They also have good pricing. They're very congenial and well-dressed. The tech who came out to spray, Josh, answered a lot of questions and I couldn’t ask for anyone better. He was very caring and thorough. Also, the pest activity in my home has gone way done, probably 90% better, after one treatment.

    I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Orkin. Two weeks ago, I spoke with Calista **, Customer Service Specialist at the Orkin Tacoma branch, who specifically arranged for a fogging treatment due to ongoing cockroach issues that had not been resolved over several months. She went over the full plan with me and emailed detailed prep instructions, so I spent several hours completely emptying my kitchen, removing toys and bedding, and preparing my home exactly as instructed for a fogging service.

    When the technician, Wesley **, arrived, he was not informed that he was scheduled to perform a fogging treatment and did not have the necessary equipment. He was professional, respectful, and immediately apologetic. He made multiple attempts to contact the office, including trying to reach Calista **, to clarify the situation. It was then confirmed that the appointment had not actually been set up as a fogging service, despite what I had been told and prepared for.

    What stood out most in a positive way was Wesley’s response to a situation that was not his responsibility. He returned to my home the next day even though he was not originally scheduled to help me, and Orkin was not willing to send another technician. He came in on his day off and completed a thorough treatment using spray and bait, doing everything he could to help resolve the issue. Wesley should absolutely be recognized and recommended for his outstanding customer service, professionalism, and genuine effort to correct a mistake he did not cause.

    While I appreciate Wesley’s efforts, the miscommunication and lack of accountability from Orkin caused a major inconvenience. I prepared my entire home based on incorrect information and had to make additional arrangements to get the fogging service I originally requested. This experience was frustrating and avoidable, and I hope Orkin improves its internal communication so other customers do not go through the same situation. If I could, I would give Wesley 5 stars and the Tacoma Branch zero stars.

    Initial termite inspection extremely deficient and insufficient and inadequate missing obvious damage in major areas. Price for small home and related infestation never communicated. Felt taken advantage of as an older person and at a vulnerable time. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Probably will have termite damage that will never be repaired even though I paid for a premium coverage. Scammed

    At first, I thought that I was getting expert service but eventually I discovered that I was not. The technician was sent out at random times that conflicted with my work schedule, and when I called to reschedule, I was told that I couldn't. Every time the technician came out, I was billed. Sometimes twice in the same month. I had initially contacted Orkin for a spider and rodent problem that never was brought under control. Three weeks after I cancelled, the spider webs and evidence of mice were back. Orkin was a waste of money, and I would not suggest anyone using them.

    The gentleman that does our regular treatment, Andrew, has been our go-to guy. He's my favorite out of all of them. He's the most professional and thorough and does a proper job. I've had a few here and there that were not up to par, but he’s excellent. For the last month or two, we haven't seen any pest activity, so I'm happy for that. It took a while to get there, but I'm hoping that we're there. We're gonna keep the program with Orkin in case something pops up. However, I don't like the automated scheduling since I'm the one that has to be at property so I usually call the scheduling in myself and everything's been fine, so far.

    I always have the same guy from Orkin. He's thorough. I had showed him a few pictures of some insects that were in the house. He gave me a solution to that. He did what he needed to do, and he was very competent. He shows up on time and alerts me ahead of time. I'm on a schedule every three months. If I need them in addition to that, or to change the time to another time, I'll call and change an appointment. Orkin is a name that I knew, and I needed service quickly, and they accommodated me quickly. They're responsible. They do simple pest control for us, but if something got more invasive, they're the people to help me out.

    Orkin's website was very eye-catching to me. It allowed me to feel comfortable with the idea of them coming to kill the pests in my home because I was scared of a spider. The first guy that came made the experience enjoyable. So, after that, I was like, “Yeah, I'm just gonna stick it through.” On my most recent experience, their guy walked me through what he was going to do, and from there, he did his job. He was very friendly. I have monthly service calls now, so they just come. They give a warning that they're coming between a certain time, and then they show up. The people that come out are great. They ask questions. They ask before they do anything, and they let us know that they're here for. I feel like they do great. This is their second time coming out, and the pest activity is less than what I saw before. The very first time, there were spiders back to back, but I'm starting to see them less. It's only their second time, so I gotta let the process take control.

    My experience with Orkin was wonderful. Scheduling a service has been good and convenient. The pest activity has decreased significantly since they've been out spraying. The first time somebody came out, the experience was really good because they were very knowledgeable. The second time, I feel like the tech kind of got a little distracted. I'm okay with casual conversation, but he started talking to my husband. He was talking way too much and it was way too long to where I just left the room. He said that he did certain things, but it just made me feel like he didn't do it because he was talking so much.

    I've been with Orkin for a few years now. They had a Camden County plan. It's like I pay a certain amount every few months. It was more convenient than paying an exterminator fee for one time. Then they come out. One time I did the mosquito treatment, and it sucked. Nothing worked. The mosquitoes were still there. But they came back out.

    My pest control tech is Jamar. I've been with him for a while now. He's very understanding. You know how when you get somebody that comes to your house, you have to follow them around and make sure they're not gonna take anything. Jamar has been in my house and I have walked to the store, and left him in my house, and then come back. He knows us, and he calls. There was a mouse in the trap, and Jamar helped me. Mice are still there, but no ants, no roaches, no wasps. I still have maybe one mouse here or there, but not much.

    Jen is the lady at the office. When I'm behind on my bill, or I forget, or my card is locked, I can call her or text her and say, “I forgot. My card is unlocked. Can you run the payment?” They're very good people. Orkin is a good company.

    We had somebody come out to do an inspection because we had found some termites in a tree. He came out and agreed that that was termites that were in the tree because part of the tree is dead. He went around the outside of the house. He didn't see any tunnels to indicate termites. So, we looked at the wood dividers in the cement, and they were eaten. You could see they were eaten by termites, too. So, we agreed that we wanted to treat for the termites in case we did have them. So, they came out a couple of days later. It was quick. As far as Orkin goes, it was great. They were in and out. They did their thing. If I have any issues, I would call Orkin again. I would certainly recommend Orkin to any family or friends versus the competitors that we had used in the past.

    I would NOT recommend Orkin ever. Termites are still present on places that were treated for extermination and cost for it was $7,500 dlls. Go for another company and don't waste money.

    The first person they sent had no idea what they were doing and said they were done treating my two story home in less than five minutes. Called a week later to have someone else come out and was told the last worker was not trained well and was charged again and told “the bugs will go away on their own eventually” because they were adamant they had no idea what type of bug it was.

    Then a third worker came out a month later and told me I had a mouse infestation but I had never seen a mouse, but I believed them unfortunately so they “treated” for mice and somehow managed to upsell a “sealing process” to my whole house which ended up taking 20 minutes and I don’t believe they truly did anything, then they upsells me into telling me I needed to buy a very expensive dehumidifier and installed it incorrectly, had to have another worker come out two more times to try to install correctly, and it still wasn’t installed correctly and I’m still paying it off when all it did was strip the paint off my walls and cause my asthma to be immensely worse. When trying to cancel services, they got very defensive and rude and demanded it was a “me” problem. No issue was ever solved until I did it myself.

    I was told the termite inspection was free, the tech did the inspection and said no termite evidence. I messaged Orkin to get the report and was told by Jacob ** I had to pay $2605 for treatment to get the report (even though there were no termites). His emails were rude and condescending. I had another company do the inspection, gave the report for $100 and I’ll be getting continued service from him. Do better Orkin.

    My mother is 89 years old. My father took care of most of all of the pest control but since he passed away, it's gotten a little out of hand. So, we hired Orkin to service our mother's home. It's a common name. We went with the recommendation to have all of the insulation in the attic and the garage removed and replaced. All of the holes and such were to be sealed. My only issue is my mother was told that they were coming back to finish the garage and they've not been back to do that. I don't know whether that was a misunderstanding on her part but she's had a mouse in her pantry since then.

    I informed the man who came yesterday to do the regular spraying and he said he would let the other gentleman know. But I've not received any call back. I requested a call back from a supervisor and I've got nothing. So the experience has been positive up to the point that we got a mouse and I'm not sure the work has been done in completion. Other than that, I would recommend them to a friend.

    In the beginning it was great but unfortunately one of their service agent jeopardized my personal information and I canceled the service. Even though I canceled they send another agent and they charged me for a service I didn’t received. Called many times asking for help and no one did. Will not recommend it.

    Our Orkin Tech, John, was very thorough on his recent March 2026 visit, covering all of the nooks & crannies of our home and outside areas as well. We've had past issues with ant "invasions" in the spring/early summers before, and I discussed that with John. He's been here previously and always does exceptionally good work. He put up ant protection & barriers in many places, inside and around the home perimeter, as well as in cracks where ants have nests. General insect defenses were also applied, and bait boxes were placed in certain locations in the home, like under sinks and in a laundry room. John is experienced, friendly and a pro, and he represents Orkin Pest Control well.

    The scheduling with Orkin was a little misleading and when the technician came, it got straightened out. But the service inclusions and the price were misleading as well. I thought mosquito was included, and it wasn't. Now, they signed me up for automatic payment, and I don't do that. But other than that, their price was reasonable and things went very well with the technician who came out. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. I would call them again because of the technician. He really straightened things out and did a good service. They're going to come back soon to do another treatment. But they haven't called me yet for a second visit. Overall, I would recommend them to a friend.

    When I had the initial visit, Orkin saw a few things that they could address, so I was able to get a second visit two days after with another product. They sent out someone to just do an inspection, to talk to us and give us offers, and to see what our option plan is. We live in a rural area, and Orkin definitely helped a lot. They did two treatments. They did a treatment inside the home, and they did a spray outside of the home as well. Besides the treatments, they actually gave me information that I didn't know and other things to help, and they kind of explained what could have caused the issue and everything. So, they didn't just come out and spray and say, "We'll be back." They actually gave me information and answered all the questions that I have. So, I would definitely recommend Orkin to anybody.

    The Orkin tech called me and said he was in the area and he wanted to know if he could come earlier or later. So, he made it more flexible with my schedule, which is crazy right now. So, I appreciated that. When I got to my home, he was already there waiting for me and explained everything that he did. He then asked if had anything that he needed to address and I appreciated that because that's not my industry.     Orkin works well. I called them and scheduled our monthly service. I said towards the end of the month and they said that was okay. Orkin's tech was good, a nice guy and always respectful.     Never satisfied with Orkin after 8 months contract. We are still having rodent at our premises. Eddie ** is the in charge for our location. He is asking just for selling us services. I’m very disappointed with the service provided by Eddie ** (supervisor). We initially hired this company to resolve a mice issue, and after several months of service, the problem still has not been resolved. Despite multiple visits, we continue to notice clear signs of activity, including strong urine odors and evidence of mice in the property. This has been ongoing for about 8 months, which is not acceptable given the scope of the service we were promised.

    During a recent visit, we were informed that further work was needed, but basic steps like a full crawl space inspection and sanitation treatment were not completed at the time due to lack of proper equipment. This was frustrating, especially after such a long period of ongoing service. Communication has also been inconsistent, and we have not seen a clear or effective plan to fully resolve the issue. I am sharing my experience to help others make an informed decision. Unfortunately, based on our experience, the issue remains unresolved.

    I liked Orkin's reputation and how long they've been in business. Norm is amazing. He has amazing reviews. He's my kind of person. I don't have pests. My son spent the night at a friend's house and they must have been infested with bed bugs because there was a couple in his backpack and I found it on the floor next to his blanket. There was only two in the house, but still. I called the second I found it, which is the next day after my son stayed the night at his friend's house. As soon as Norm sprayed, they were gone. He came back, did the inspection, and there was nothing.

    They charged my elderly parents $1,500 for bed bug treatment. I understand it can be a hassle but they told my parents they had to do all the work, pulling furniture out, pulling mattresses off, taking everything off the wall and shelves. Literally had to move everything out of the house and pull the carpet up. All they are going to do is come in and spray for $1,500!! For $1,500 at least they can do is help with the preparation. It's ridiculous that they charge that much just to come spray. They're not doing any of the work. Very disappointed that they took advantage of my parents. Now me and my husband have to take off work to help move furniture around in order for them to spray ridiculous

    I feel completely embarrassed, stooped, and quite frankly a fool. I call in to request a one-time pest control service for a rat sighting. Somehow get swindled into a 1-year all-encompassing pest control service agreement. The sales call center states one-time service isn't an option. Ok, no problem as it was explained to me you can cancel anytime and that the contract is billed monthly after each month onsite visit. One visit each month and payment due after each visit. WRONG. Yes, you pay monthly, but they only come onsite to spray every other month. Oh, and then they only spray outside. Oh, and they also give you 0 warning on the day-of service, despite what you had requested to be wrote in your account notes. They literally had set multiple rat traps inside the visit before which weren't even checked upon the return visit because they didn't feel the need to go in! This was the whole point for the initial call, they completely forgot about their customer base and request.

    For those interested, this all equates to $126 per onsite spray visit. In which the tech will only be onsite for a total of 10 minutes. And only spray outside. Seriously!? For that much money, I want to see if they are hiring. This experience was a total scam, with an unethical lying call center. I could swallow the originally explained $63 per visit but $126!? Ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend Orkin to my worst enemies, that's how poor of an experience.

    Orkin may have been the worst decision I made with pest control. I have never experienced such ineptitude and lack of ability in a "professional". Their scheduling is absolutely abysmal, having to give a 2 hour window to be there, during which they may or may not show up at said time. Once there, the technician practice and knowledge varied so widely, but in almost every case I had to be the one to tell the technician what to do and where to apply the treatments needed. Their so called expert review didn't seem to carry any weight in their actual treatment plan, and each one did something different for the last, with several of them having no regard for property and spraying with reckless abandon.

    Treatment is sparse and haphazard, and in one particular example when applied externally felt as though the individual couldn't care less. Their pricing policy is predatory and feeds off the discomfort you have with your home having pests without certainty of correction, and you cannot get out of the contract. And to top it all off, they placed rat poison in my garage without informing me, while I own dogs, and they got to it. I would sooner burn my house down than see another orkin truck in my driveway.

    They set up appointments and don't keep them, then they charge for a job and take shortcuts. They charge $30,000 for new insulation and don't remove old then they get paid off and tried to charge interest after getting paid off. Service manager Ben just don't care.

    Orkin has been really great. They have done a really good job in scheduling our appointments. They were really friendly and understanding. There were pest problems at my mom's. They had bedbugs. The service guys took their time doing their job and they explained everything, what they were going to do step by step and it didn't take time and they got rid of the problem. My mom's place has been completely free of pests. I haven't seen anything, and that was after the second treatment. We've had four done so far and we just had the fourth one done. In the last two visits, they haven't found anything. I'm very satisfied. Orkin has really good people.

    Do not call the service center for anything. They are not helpful and are not honest. I signed up for the monthly pest service and was told it would cover everything we need to get rid of mice and box elder bugs, but when the service guy came out he pretty much said they just check the mouse traps each month. They didn't do an inspection of the outside of the house (which should have been included in the $200 initial fee), we had to call to get someone to do that.

    I just called the service line again because we have moles in our yard and the lady said she'd get someone out right away. Well, when the inspector came he said they aren't even starting their mole services for another few months. Had to stay home from work for that. Although the employees are nice (which is the only reason I'm giving some stars), I feel like we were ripped off by paying the initial $200 fee and $50 a month because it's still not clear what service we are actually getting. Do your research before committing to a year of Orkin, and speak to an inspector first NOT the service center.

    Three people from Orkin have visited our home, and I like that because you get used to knowing who is coming to your home. They did what they were supposed to do. There was one guy in particular, Andre, who always went above and beyond. We’re in a rental and we had an issue in the attic. They came out to assess what we thought we heard. One of the guys who came was more of a supervisor named Jose, who said he could almost guarantee there was rodent activity. But Andre said he didn’t think so, but he would put some sticky traps down just in case. So, we never had any issues. They both addressed it, though Andre’s approach was a little better.

    I had a mouse problem and Orkin was able to assist in the normal yearly package I use. I originally called them up for a hornet and ground bee problem, and I subscribed for the year. Then I had a mouse problem and I wondered if they covered that. I called them up and they came out. They set traps and pointed out where the holes could be, which they would fill with the foam stuff. So, it was good. Since the service, I've noticed a difference at least with the mice. Also, I've had an ant problem last year, which I held out from calling them, and eventually, I just called because of the bee problem. So, I'll be curious to see if they are able to help with that ant problem that I had last year, if it comes up again this year. Other than that, whenever I call Orkin, I get a different person every time and their customer service has been great.

The home inspector found out that we had bats in the attic and found a problem with the insulation as well. So, we unfortunately had to have our insulation completely removed and re-blown. But it was definitely positive to have him find that, because our original home inspector did not when we bought the house eight months ago. So, that was good.

    We did get everything repaired. Everybody that came to the house was extremely friendly. You could tell they actually cared about the problem and took care of everything. The only downside we have was it was almost $10,000 to get it done. We got charged 5,500 even though our contract stated 5,000, which we told them, we're like, “Whatever. It’s an extra 500. Not a big deal.” But then, the next day, they charged our account again for another $500 out of nowhere. So, the only issues we really had were with the incorrect charging. But other than that, everything's been good. For everything that they did, it's not a bad price.

    Orkin is wonderful. They are cool. I love Orkin. Keon is great. He does his job. Orkin gets a 10 on everything. Last year, I had a gigantic beehive. They came and then they came back and they killed the thingy in it, and then came back and removed it. Normally, my appointments are from 8:00 to 10:00. I'm a morning person. Sometimes, Keon tries to make me his first thing of the day. He is a nice young man. He is very polite, not disrespectful. He doesn't come in rushing. I had an Orkin man come out a couple of few years ago, and I was not happy with him because I told him not to spray a certain area, but he did it anyway. Also, he was late. So I told Orkin not to send him back here. That was when I got Keon, and I am just fine with Orkin.

    I've been with Orkin for at least 10 years. My house might not need, but I'm keeping them. It was a holy mess when they first started coming here. I had mice, roaches, and ants. I live in a relatively old house, and the people that had the house didn't take care of the house, so I was in the midst of putting the house together. That was how I got involved with Orkin. They are awesome, and I've got a couple of my family members running with Orkin now too.

    Have had the termite pest control for 3-4 years through Orkin. They continue to make appointments without customer confirmation even after though we’ve requested it multiple times. They don’t show up when they are scheduled. Ex it’s currently 1:30pm and they were supposed to arrive between 10am-12pm for our annual inspection. When we had the mosquito control they also would call and confirm appointments even though we asked because we have a dog and fenced in backyard. They would show up when we aren’t home and unlock our gate to “work”, good thing our dog wasn’t out back. They are overpriced especially for the lack of professionalism. Will finely be looking elsewhere for services

    The recent termite control service was my first time calling the number. Someone came out. The experience was okay until I had to call Orkin back twice and let them know that they didn't do a great job. They're supposed to come back out to finish tomorrow. My carpenter had to go underneath the house and fix it up for me. He told me that the vinyl white paper Orkin put in there to keep the dampness from coming up into the house wasn't nailed down corner to corner. It's supposed to be corner to corner, coming to each side of the pillar of my house. They used concrete block instead on top of that. I was very unhappy about that because I paid a lot of money for that. You have to make sure they do the job properly. You shouldn't have to go back and check behind them. That’s what they are being paid for, a professional, but they didn't do that.

    Corey has been so thorough, and so conscientious with my problem. The last time that he came out, he listened and saw what I was talking about. He's now treating the entire house. Thank God for Corey. He really stepped it up from what I had, and he worked with Travis, who is the district manager. He was very good. He was very attentive when I was able to get to him. Travis put me with Corey. Scheduling my service now has been really good. I have a good system now. When I first started with Orkin, I was commuting to Chicago. They knew I was commuting to Chicago but there were times that I didn't even get a text message that they were coming and they just showed up. That was not how it was set up at all. If I had a text message earlier on that they were on their way, I could have had my husband here and instead of having the technician come back and forth because I wasn't here.

    When I started with Orkin, they were going to charge me for a problem, and that was unacceptable because I had ants. The tech wasn't even gonna treat the outside where I had video of ants. He thought I meant the whole perimeter. But I told him it was just the window. It is a miracle I still have Orkin. The only reason I have Orkin is because of Corey. I wish I had him at the beginning because maybe I wouldn't have such a problem.

    Scheduling the service was a hit or miss. I was on hold for 33 minutes one time, and I blasted them for that. They told me because I was on hold for 33 minutes, the manager was gonna credit me $30 off of my bill, but he never did. I made it a point because I was really mad. They have been rude to me at the beginning of scheduling. I was completely put out at the beginning. Now that I have everyone's telephone number and the problem is under control, it is pretty much automatic of a visit now.

    When I moved one piece of furniture, there was a nest, and it was an inside wall. They were all on inside walls. The manager and the first technician didn't want to believe me. I'm the one who lives in this house. I'm the one who cleans this, and this is I'm seeing where the problem is coming from. I sent a picture but crickets. I had to yell at customer service to get somebody higher up in this house who could help me. I could not fire Orkin because they created this problem. I wasn't going to pay more money to have something fixed by what they created. So my service didn't stop. I continue to pay for your visits.

    I've gotten stories that the managers never got the message. After talking with a couple of the technicians, they said the office does not contact the technicians about canceling or about coming here because they're not allowed to be on their phones. I get that if they are driving. But I don't know how they can get somebody here on an emergency. There was one manager who I had a telephone call with when I was in the middle of hell with earwigs. My house was inundated with earwigs and that was after I had Orkin for almost a year. They were in my napkins and my towels. They were everywhere, shoes, pillows and on my head.

    This house is meticulously clean and for this to happen after almost a year of having Orkin was unacceptable. The technician did not do his job. He did not care about doing his job. He did not listen to me. I don't even understand why he even has a job. We also had the expense of caulking the entire house on the floor. We sealed pretty much everything. We have dug trenches. It's still a little too raw because I still have to have boxes all around my house. It's a constant reminder of what I had in this house. My house is only 2,400 square foot and there are almost 20 boxes throughout my house. That is how detailed that they have to be to try to watch where they're gonna start coming from this spring. I would only recommend Orkin if Corey was doing their yard. If it was not Corey, I wouldn't recommend them at all, because I would not know what type of technician they had.

    The Orkin guy that comes every other month and does my pest control and my mom's pest control is a joy. He's wonderful. He's friendly and professional. I enjoy him, and he does a great job treating the inside and outside of our homes. The reason we first called him was both of my house and my mom's were infested with roaches. We would walk into the kitchen or the laundry room in the morning, flip on the light, and all we'd see were little roaches crawling all over, and it was disgusting. We tried treating them on our own. We tried all the different tricks, and we couldn't get rid of them. When Orkin came out, they did a wonderful job. It didn't happen immediately, but it went quickly.     Orkin does our termite, too, so I thought it might be good to stick with them for pest control. They also have a very good reputation, and they've been in business a long time. I normally schedule for a service call online. Their website is very user-friendly. It's easy to change appointments and make appointments. When it comes to Orkin's customer service, they're always very polite on the phone. They answer quickly, and I always get what I need from the call. Overall, working with Orkin has been a relief and a lifesaver that we don't have to deal with those disgusting roaches anymore.

    Terrible experience. Our home infested outside with an insect identified by us and Orkin rep. Was told by rep they offered a "proprietary spray" that would eliminate problem. Paid HUNDREDS of dollars for spray. It did NOTHING in eliminating our infestation. When we requested a "satisfaction guaranteed" refund of spray costs was gaslight and double teamed on phone. Manager and rep both claimed they NEVER said they had a spray to eliminate problem. So you decide... why would I pay hundreds of dollars for a spray that wouldn't work?

    I hired Orkin last summer for my Mom's house to get a wasp nest down. They came out and talked her into a contract then came out and told her she needs all new insulation and roof guards which costed her $29,000. They never change nothing. I made them come back and babysat them. She paid for it by check then they stated they were wanting interest which she paid in full. Then they called my business for plumbing work after sending w9 and my info they requested. They never paid me so will seek legal help. STAY AWAY FROM ORKIN IN PLAINFIELD IL.

    I called Orkin to address a spider cricket infestation at my weekend home in Pennsylvania. This is not my primary residence and sometimes we aren't up there for several weeks at a time. I explained this to the technician and he said no problem, they would return as many times as necessary till the problem was resolved. I returned to the house a week after the first treatment and the problem seem to be resolved, but when I returned 3 weeks after that, the bugs had returned as well. I called and explained that I wasn't sure when I could get back up there, but would call to schedule when I knew. In the interim I received the bill for $140.

    It seems that when I signed the invoice, indicating the technician had completed the work. I was also signing an agreement for monthly service, which was not made clear to me, unfortunately, I did sign it. When I called to question this and request another service based on the original contract I was told it had expired that now the monthly service contract was in effect and each additional service would incur an additional charge. I feel they were deceptive, and my advice would be find a local contractor in your area, preferably a family owned business who is invested in their neighborhood and has reasonably good reviews.

    Termites - By the time I knew, they were on my back steps. Told that by that time the damage is done. When the quote was done, I didn't pass the credit part to have it financed. When I didn't pass, I asked when the amount was needed. I was told TODAY. Well of course, I didn't have that kind of money so I had to take a loan out from the bank to pay it.     I tried a different pest control company but it seemed like when they came and sprayed, the pests were attracted. Then my neighbor told me to go with Orkin. It was like they weren't really there. Then Orkin came out a second time and sprayed again. From the last time they sprayed, which was a month ago, I've only seen two of the pests.

    The technician was great. He explained everything that he was doing and everything that he had done. He also explained to me that he collected all of the glue traps and if he missed any, to just squeeze them tight, flatten them down and throw them away. It's been a great experience with Orkin and I'm gonna keep their service. I was thinking they'd have a ridiculous price as they're known but when I got my price, that wasn't the case.

    I requested for ants and mice. They took care of the ants, but the mice are out of control. I paid extra for that which did not work. I should be refunded high pressure for sales. I had my place inspected for mice and they quoted me between six and $10,000. Who has that kind of money. I called a couple other places who were way lower and guaranteed their work. You guys did not hold up your end of the bargain. As far as I’m concerned I will never use you again. There are more mice now than they’ve ever been. You charged me to spray the perimeter, which finding out from speaking to others that does not work. There is not really anything that you can spray to keep them away. You just cheated me out of my money.

    Would not recommend them! Was very dissatisfied with them and their services! When they tell you that they’ll come back in between at no cost if there's any issues they will still charge you even tho they said it would be free. Then they show up to your house with no warning and start spraying outside without any permission and charge you too! I was told that I can scheduled appt when I need them, not that they'd take it upon themselves and show up without a made appt.

    We're on an every other month schedule so Orkin just lets us know the day they're coming. The techs seem knowledgeable and friendly. They do the outside of the house.     The Orkin company on Felton Road in Cartersville Georgia is very unprofessional and not honest with customers. Do not give them your bank information. Because they take money out your account without your permission. I was on a one year contract that I completed. They still came after I'd told them that I wasn't gone renew my contract. They came while I was at work twice. And they charged me even though I didn't renew the contract. I still was billed for $97.even though in good faith I paid half over the phone off my bank account, and promised to pay the other half this month (February).

    Well they took it out my account Friday February 13,2026 after I'd called them and told them Thursday that I would call and pay the money on Tuesday February 17,2026. Do not give Orkin your bank information. They take money when they want to once they get you bank information. When I first did the contract I asked them to take the money every 10th of the month due to other bills I had to pay. Well they took it on the The 6th of the month and didn't change it. This is not a good company to deal with. So unprofessional and no respect for customer desires. Never will I deal with them again. And preparing to take them to court for how they did me. I give them 0 stars.

    Orkin was doing "service" for my folks and come to find out, gave my elderly parents a highly overpriced estimate when mouse droppings and a bat was found in the house. They wanted $17,000 for remediation and we were able to have an independent company do that work plus more for $6800. To make matters worse, it was right as my dad passed. Reprehensible business practices--and very common for them. Cancel your service, find someone who has ethics.

    Orkin advertises 24/7 customer care and support, but that has not been my experience at all. I have called the provided phone number multiple times over the course of several weeks, at different times of the day, and no one ever answers. I have also left messages and never received a callback. In addition, my service professional has stopped responding entirely. I have reached out using multiple phone numbers—numbers he previously responded to—and now I get no reply at all. This lack of communication is unacceptable, especially for a company that claims to prioritize customer care. The service has been extremely poor, unprofessional, and unreliable. Based on my experience, Orkin’s customer service is going downhill fast. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for dependable pest control or responsive support.

    I left instructions of me not going to be there and where the mouse traps were and how to get into the house… I don’t think any of that was read in the notes…. I did call twice to make sure the instructions and everything was good to go in the notes for the exterminator.. I put all the mouse traps in a cabinet besides the refrigerator and let them know that they need to be reset because the mice already took the bait and I had a realtor come in and took pictures so I didn’t want them in the pictures… I got called by Jesse and let him know the whole spiel as well since he didn’t realize I was going to be home… (mind you I left notes for the Exterminator) I told him everything that was in the notes that I gave the Orkin operator to let the Exterminator know what to do and where the traps were…

    After I got the message he left. I called and checked to see how it went and realized he didn’t even set any of the traps or listen to what I said, that I told him and that the traps were in the cabinet beside the refrigerator that needs setting… He only did the few of them that were out… So now the key was locked in the house because I told him to put the key in the house and lock it inside when he was done… Thank goodness I was on my way to Pleasanton because I live in San Antonio…so he could go back in and do what I said needed to be done in the first place….

    I understand sometimes people are set in their ways and think they know what they gotta do cause it’s their job but I really wish he would’ve listened a lot more to what I had to say. That way I wouldn’t have had to go back to Jourdanton to go unlock the door again… Communication is a big thing to me, especially when I know I told Orkin on the phone two times and I also let him know probably a couple times talking to him…. Hopefully we can get this straight next round.. Maybe a little more training and listening… This is the only reason I gave it a three star instead of a five.

    Had a mice problem in the Attic. Technician came out. Placed three boxes. Little did I know that he was prohibited from going into the Attic and that's where the activity was. Didn't put any bait boxes at the entry points at the back of the house. The inspection was after the technician had placed the bait boxes which was unusual I thought. And when the technician came out to collect the bait boxes it wasn't my original technician and I had to retrieve the boxes for them. All in all I canceled my service. They wanted $197 up front and the bait boxes that were to be put at the entry points were going to be an extra $50. Also I spoke to a manager that told me that my bait boxes that I had up there and throw packs would cancel out their bait box.

    Since when do you pay for a service that has not yet been completed?? Orkin send bills out and wants them paid before your service is done. Today I had Neco come out after my last quarterly was not completed. Before my service date, he called to collect money. I told them when services are done, I will pay, I have never not paid my bill. Today he completed the service, not well missed a lot outside. He wanted my credit card up front and I said when finished, I’ll pay online. I had to get ready for work. He shows back up after the office called and said they needed payment. I was getting online as the office called to pay, and then Neco shows up at my door again and said, "We know people like you who never pay." This kid needs to be suspended or fired.

    Please do not use their service. They charge a lot of money but provide no real help. The first visit cost us $250, and they did almost nothing — they just closed one hole and that was it. No treatment, no solution for the mice problem. Later they asked if we wanted a monthly subscription for inspections. I clearly said no, but they still signed us up and charged us anyway. The money is non-refundable.

    After they closed the hole, the mouse left, and we are sure it exited through that same hole behind the dishwasher — it was the only hole we had. However, they kept insisting the mouse came from somewhere else, which is not true. Overall, this was a complete waste of money. Very disappointing experience. I do not recommend this service.

    I have used Orkin Denver pest control for several years for control of mice in a rental house, but I have been rather dissatisfied with their service. The house is in the mountains, which drives the mice inside in the winter time, but I see little impact from their service. I frequently set traps and catch mice, but their traps are rarely updated or re-baited, yet they have me on auto-billing for hundreds of dollars per year. When I call and tell them there is a problem, they are very polite and say they'll do more, but I can't tell any difference in the traps or the results.

    I called to receive services for my mother as she had a pest issue mainly roaches. I explained this was a gift. Also that the infestation was from another unit. When the technician arrived he stated the house is clean and no need to worry. Clean houses does not equal no pests. After signing a contract and no service was performed this is unacceptable. I will continue to let everyone know what type of business this is and to never contract with them unless you want to be ripped off.

    I hired Orkin to get rid of mice in my house. Their estimate was $10K but Kody, the sales rep, stated that Orkin was the best in the business and worth the cost. He promised reliable, professional service and warned me how toxic mice feces/urine was to respiratory function. The techs left a mess of insulation and the toxic feces smashed into my carpet and spread throughout the house. They tracked the feces into my bathroom rugs and left a mess on my sink. They broke my closet door and frame.

    I have called repeatedly over the past two months and talked to the Hickory, NC manager, who promised to fix my closet door. Then no one follows up. For an unknown reason, the techs store a roll of painting tape and scissors from my house, which isn't a big deal but is unprofessional. I have asked for the door to be replace or to receive a refund for the cost of a new door. They have provided neither. Also, there are still mice living in my house so they didn't solve that either.

Shortly after signing contract I got a call saying the technician had to go home and needed to reschedule. Appointment got rescheduled for next day. After waiting the 2 hour window I was given still no show! Really frustrating since had to arrange schedule around this appointment. STAY AWAY From this company.

    These guys are horrible. The office lied to my mother. Sold her a bundle package deal for mice control and lied to her. The person that came was very nice and even mentioned that he wishes his office would stop saying they do the stuff that they don't. We paid 400 dollars and all they did was like 6 sticky traps and left. They didn't leave traps outside. Or spray like what the package deal was suppose to be. Customer service was horrible and then tried to charge my mother more if she wanted more than paper sticky traps. This place is a scam.

    Orkin schedules appointments without contacting me first for confirmation. Even worse, there's no way to reschedule or cancel through their website or app - you must call, and they won't accommodate appointment changes based on your availability. This rigid, outdated system shows little respect for customers' time. In an age where most service companies offer convenient online scheduling, Orkin's inflexibility is frustrating and unacceptable. The lack of customer-centric service makes it hard to recommend them despite the quality of their pest control work.

If you value customer service this is not the company for you, I called and asked for a same day service and after walking through the quote I agreed and they sent me the contract to sign, I was told the tech would arrive between 12 and 2.. At 6pm and after no less than 20 calls that all went un-answered to about 6 different numbers ranging from branch to customer service I finally switched tactics and dialed the option for “new contract”.. Lo and behold a representative immediately picked up!! That told me and should tell you all you need to know about this company’s MO.

    The office closest to me in Lutz Florida, has a wonderful salesperson and terrible technicians. They regularly arrived without the equipment needed to do their inspection and I had to point out the bait stations they missed even after they went and got the correct equipment to locate these stations. My last few attempts to speak to the manager were ignored even after the original salesperson tried to intervene. I eventually sent two emails, one, to cancel the contract and the second, to ask for a confirmation of receipt of the first. Both emails were ignored.

    I had/have a termite infestation in my house. I called Orkin because I thought that they would take care of the problem and if something went wrong it would be a hassle free resolution. I spent several thousand dollars with them for tenting and perimeter of treatment. According to the salesperson, this was the only way they would guarantee the work. I had "live" termites a week after the treatments were done. I thought they were a random termite, but I was wrong. Four months after treatments, I have piles of droppings all over my house. In the last three weeks, I've had four agents visits to collect samples and still no resolution. One was unannounced from the company that tented. Orkin does NOT TENT your house. They hire an outside company. Save yourself money, time, trouble, and frustration DO NOT CALL them. Get yourself someone else.

    This company and their employees do not have a clue about what they are doing. On four different occasions with this company and the last one being with a regional manager that was suppose to return a call on Thursday 11/14/2025 and here it is Friday and still no phone call or communication of any kind from this. So called regional manager in Denver Colorado. There are many other occasions where I was told I would receive a phone call from Orkin and till this day no reply. This company apparently doesn't care about customer relations and don't care about their company either.

    Do not bother calling unless you want to spend $5,000 on them filling holes. For $177, they left 4 SMALL glue traps and looked around with a flashlight. I complained, stating those can be bought for $1 a piece and I can do that myself. The 2nd visit a week later, was $144; she sprayed and left larger glue traps. No metal traps were left outside the house. They won't fill holes larger than 1". Basically, they won't do anything you can't do. The help line people are nice and promise to make it better, but I was still charged $177 for less than no help.

    Absolute pathetic company, paid for a one month treatment which was supposed to be a 2 part treatment a week apart, showed up and charged me for the month and never returned, technician wouldn’t answer his phone or texts, rang the company 3 different times about getting the 2nd part of treatment completed but nobody ever rang or returned, after the month I was then charged again as they enrolled me in their 12 month service which I never signed for, luckily Capital One returned all the money to my card, they are a fraud of a company, get someone else.

    Had Orkin for a bedbug problem that a person who had them came to my house and didn't tell me. Suddenly they were everywhere. One bit my dog who has a tumor on her spine and can't walk. The bug drew blood. This was after the treatment. I lost all my furnishings and sleeping on a cot but now seeing them on it. $2120 was what they charged me. Had to get a loan from my bank. No I didn't get a receipt. Just the loan showing on my online banking. These people are the worse. How they can live with themselves is beyond me. I get sick every morning and evening vomiting and diarrhea. I feel at the end. Just too much and again a very traumatic thing with Orkin.

    I set up service and the technician came out and sprayed the house the house for Asian beetles and flies. The technician states that they would be coming out quarterly and that I could call them back within 30 days at no charge. I then received text messages to set up an inspection and other services for rodents. Today I received a bill for rodent services and they are billing it monthly. I called them and they stated that is what was set up and completed. They even have notes documented that an inspection was done, even though it was never completed. Do not trust this company.

    6 years ago Orkin was a really good service even with the exception of one of the tech's saying he did our outside service but video showed he never got out the car. As of today I would give this business a -10! Our most recent experiences with them has been a total nightmare! So much so no one has even returned my call due to the laziness of their techs! On two occasions that we know of the tech never got out of the car and we went out of our way to ensure a smooth transaction this last time. If you hire these people I would strongly suggest you or someone make sure you are getting the services you are paying for. Personally, I would not recommend them. I will say that one of the managers did try to rectify the goof ups but his boss was totally opposite and not customer professional at all. There is not enough space for me to detail all of the issues but I will say we have since canceled our service!

    Canceled our service because our technician told us multiple times he couldn't treat drain flies, so we found a company that could. We canceled at the beginning of the month (Oct 2025). Then I get a text reminder about my service on 10-20, so I call again to make sure they know everything is canceled. The technician still showed up, seemed confused that he wasn't supposed to be there, wasn't willing to listen to the adult that was at home telling him he wasn't supposed to be there, so I was called at work, and thank God I wasn't with a client at the time, because normally I'm unable to take personal calls at work, and it seemed that he just wanted to speak to myself or my husband directly so that he could blame us for him not doing his job and lie directly to me telling me that my husband never mentioned our drain fly problem, when it had been brought it up at last 3 times to the technician.

    I had also brought it up with the lady (really tall redhead) who did our initial inspection, and she stated she wasn't sure what Orkin could do because they had to be careful about what chemicals they put in the water supply. Needless to say were shocked to find out that Orkin did in fact treat drain flies, which we didn't find out until we called to cancel.

    At best, the company has a lot of communication problems because we very clearly stated we were canceling service weeks prior to the guy showing up. But even if we were willing to continue working with Orkin, it could never be with the same technician; the blatant lies and attempt to blame shift would only make for awkward interactions in the future. I'm not saying you need to build the same level of trust with your Orkin guy as you do with your doctor or hair stylist, but you should at least be able to trust that they are going to behave honestly and professionally.

    Guys, don’t use Orkin with local office as Rockledge. I’ve been trying since September to cancel that service that was suppose to be a one time use and no one ever canceled it. Supposedly they have a contract signed allowing them to do this but I don’t remember signing anything and I KNOW I didn’t request that. I called them several times and requested this but the guy keeps coming out while I was at work and they keep charging me. I finally talk to a different person who seems like he’s from higher up position and can cancel my service but can’t take the 75$ off that they are charging me again and has to have the office manager Jeff call me back. They have maxed out my credit card even after multiple requests of canceling.

    Both receptionist Dawn and Trisha were very monologue and didn’t seem like they could give a crap, both said on multiple occasions they would cancel my service and I wouldn’t be charged but yet when I spoke with the last gentleman he said he would go ahead and cancel it which tells me those two ladies are NOT doing their jobs and will he cancel it? I have been using them since 2020, I will call them every time I need service because they had did a great job in the past. I don’t know what all has changed in the last year but they are awful. Guys it’s worse than pulling teeth trying to get this resolved. I would literally compare the frustration to the frustration you get when you’re in labor and having contractions. This is INSANE.

    If I could give zero stars, I would. We contacted Orkin after their bat exclusion job across the road caused over 100 bats to move into my 78-year-old mother’s barn - a barn that had no prior infestation. Instead of helping, Orkin sent someone who didn’t even go inside, said “holy cow,” touched my mother several times without permission, showed us photos of someone else’s bat problem (seriously?), and implied we were lucky to have our land (land that’s been in our family for over 150 years and that we’ve worked extremely hard to maintain).

    He told us Orkin would take no responsibility and might not even do the job at all since they “guarantee their work.” Then we got a vague text saying the “big boss” would come out. He never showed. No estimate, no proposal, no follow-up. I filed a formal complaint - twice - and never received a response. Nothing. My family has deep roots in this community. We know just about everyone here, and I’ll be telling them all exactly what happened. Orkin was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely unaccountable. We’ve since hired a local company that treated us with respect and actually did the job right. I would not recommend Orkin to anyone.

    Title: Terrible Service – Wish I Could Give Zero Stars. This company is absolutely the worst! They came to treat our apartment building, and we were told to remove everything from the kitchen and bathroom cabinets in preparation. When the Orkin technician arrived, all he did was open the kitchen cabinets, pull out an Orkin flyer from his pocket, and place it on the counter — without spraying or treating anything. He didn’t even go into the bathroom! Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time they’ve done this. If you decide to use this company, make sure you walk with the technician and watch them work — otherwise, you might end up paying for a service that’s never actually done.

    I originally called the 800 number and must have reached the call center. The person led me to believe I needed a year long service to get rid of the hornets nest and it was over 400 for the removal of the nest. First they could not reach the nest so the technician used a long pole and dusted the nest. I was under the impression that the 400 dollars I paid would get the nest removed and make sure the bees were gone.

    When I called the local number to let them know I still needed the nest removed, that I still had bees coming in the house and I didn't need the quarterly service and I didn't sign the contract because I was confused and though the quarterly service was for the bees the person I talked to was rude and said that she would not charge me for the quarterly service but she was closing the account. I now have dozens of bees in the house and they refuse to come and take care of them. I paid $418 and have more bees in my house than I did when I called them.

    Back in December of 2024 I heard noises in my wall I called one company they inspected and told me I had a squirrel and was supposed to come back for a live trip. 300 later he called to inform me that he didn't work in my area as a rule. LOL ok so I called another company and they wanted money off my credit card before they even set up an appointment.

    I heard a noise that night I was petrified,called Orkin and they had someone out here that next morning. I have had the pleasure of meeting a lot of the crew as in the summer they sealed all enclosures to my home. They followed up 3 days later to make sure I didn't have anything in the house. Oh and I did have roof rat back in December my husband trapped 3 before orkin came, never had we had rats the 15 years we owned our home. I was beside myself.

    Ryan one of the first guys to show assured me I was in great hands. He was absolutely right because the last one caught was before they came in. They set all traps and sealed home since and nothing has ever been caught ever since. I highly recommend them. All the guys are wonderful and go above and beyond. They have eased all of my fears and mostly addressed all of my issues moving forward. Even though my home is sealed I will keep my monthly contract which is so worth it because they come every other month to inspect. And compared to other companies out there they are well dressed well spoken ans well informed. I have never had a hard time with getting a hold of anyone either. Some gave me personal cell phones in case of emergency because they knew how scared I was. They said since I didn't put it off they didn't have to worry that even if something comes up ever agian I will be taken care of.

    Joe who does the main inspection came out the day of the exterior work had also been out here to explore financing, so if you need finance they help with that too. We didn't fortunately and were given a discount to pay in cash. The guys came out and spent a few hours doing the work and all were very polite, clean and just amazing. Had a walk through today and it was later only because I had been busy but they came out and adressed any concerns today as well. And I am still rodent free not even a mouse trap was set off and the guys will be back in a few days for their regular inspection. These two guys today looked everywhere that I was afraid of and assured me that I'm good

    So if you want peace of mind and professional service that goes above and beyond call Orkin, you will not regret it. The biggest mistake is to put any rodent problems off as they can get bad real fast and these guys will tell you that. I'm so happy I decided to use them. A+++++ and definitely 5 star services. I'd give 10 if I could.

I got a inspection done for 120$ only for him to confirm my pest problems that I knew I had or else I wouldn't have called.     I have a commercial account with Orkin, including a Termite Bond for a 34-building apartment community. While I’ve only had to call for termite issues a few times over the past two years, the process of requesting service has become increasingly frustrating and difficult. More often than not, I cannot get through to anyone by phone. When I do manage to speak with someone, I’m told that a service request has been submitted and someone will follow up. Weeks go by, and I never receive a return call. This most recent time, I’ve been waiting over two weeks with no response. I pay over $5,000 annually for this service, and frankly, I feel like I’m getting nothing in return. When I do request service, I can’t even get a call back, let alone a visit.

    To make matters worse, their required “Annual Inspection” this year was completely inadequate. The technician was on-site for no more than 20 minutes and never even checked in with my office. Instead, they flagged down a maintenance tech to sign off on the inspection paperwork. With 34 buildings to inspect, I have to ask — what exactly did they inspect in such a short time? Fortunately, my contract is expiring soon, and I will not be renewing. Based on my experience, I cannot in good faith recommend Orkin to any other commercial property manager. I will absolutely never use them again.

    My experience with Orkin has been nothing but problems, first they did not show up at the service day, when I called they told me it is on a different day as I setup with sales person because I have to hire a help person to be there to help my dad who is 95 years old, it ended up we have to reschedule it to another day, which means I have to spend money to hire a help person again. On the new service day, a Orkin technician showed up, the first thing he wants is to sign the service contract, which is not a problem. But the problem is the contract is different from the one their salesperson sent to me, after I showed the technician the contract I have, the technician said he needs to call his manager, after that the technician left without any note. With that I seriously question Orkin's integrity and honesty of their business, and highly recommended not to use the company like Orkin.

    I had Orkin come to my house on 8/30 to treat a yellowjacket infestation at my house. Although the treatment eradicated much of the problem, the problem persisted, but on a much smaller scale. Orkin returned to my house on 9/6 and retreated the area. Within a day, I was finding dead yellowjackets INSIDE my house, so that was proof the problem wasn't fixed.

    On 9/8, when looking to close up the hole where they were coming in, my son discovered a few very live and healthy ones. I called Orkin once more and was told that nobody could get to my house until 9/17! I told them I needed somebody sooner. I was told somebody from the local office would call me. Nobody ever did. Then yesterday, 9/17, a very healthy, alive and angry yellowjacket popped up in my house—from the same nest. I am still under my 30-day guarantee and I want this problem fixed once and for all.

    I have had a horrible experience with Orkin's customer service. They falsely started a payment plan for my $15,000 service package. I paid the charge upfront, before the service was even performed, yet I received notice of my payment schedule. I contacted them immediately and they acknowledged that they had made a mistake. The person I spoke with was Nick. He asked me to send him a copy of my statement notice that shows I was charged $86.68 interest. He also asked for a copy of my credit card charge history showing that I had paid in full, which was prior to any payment due to their 3rd party collection agency. I sent him both. That was 4 weeks ago and he has not reimbursed me for their error. I have tried to contact him 5 times but he won't call me back. Their customer support staff say they will give him a message to call me but he doesn't. DON'T USE ORKIN! And this NIck guy should be fired.

    A scam! They keep charging my debit card when no one has been out here and my subscription is canceled! The first visit they used sticky pads without even telling me.     This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. First, you can never get a hold of a live person to talk to. Tried for two days and finally got a live person. Who, by the way, was not the epitome of friendliness. First they charged me $200+ and then wanted to charge me an extra 65.00 for simply laying pellets. Plus they came with 4 men. Simply to lay pellets? Now on top of that, they are charging me monthly an extra $51+ dollars. Trying to cancel the service is nearly impossible.     My experience with Orkin has been a nightmare. Three times their associates have arrived only to admit that their equipment was faulty, and they could not render the full service. The first installation of the bait stations was so inconsistently spaced they had to add 6 or 7 more stations to comply, after I complained. On two of the semiannual inspections the person failed to arrive with a working "locator" and missed numerous bait stations. Had I not been here to catch it they would simply have sent me a report confirming a total service. Pedro, the salesperson has been the only person responding to my desperate calls. A month after he assured me the manager or service manager will call, as I would like to cancel any further services, I still await those calls. They seem to be utterly undependable and unprofessional. Homeowners beware.

From the start, we were not given an honest assessment of our pest issue and ended up paying for a service that wasn’t needed. The work was poorly done—my husband had to re-check their work in the attic himself. As a new mom with an infant, I felt especially vulnerable and trusted their expertise, only to realize later that we were misled and taken advantage of.     They came out to get rid of yellow jackets in our walls. They said I had to sign up for their entire pest program and then additional fees for a one time fee of $250 and then $50 every time they have to come back. They put the same powder and liquid poison outside the nest you can buy at any department store. The yellow jackets have only gotten worse and their guarantee is one year of service or you get your money back. As a homeowner you cannot wait one year for yellow jackets to die in your walls or you will have a massive problem. They did the bait and switch technique and would not recommend them for any pest control. Shady business practices.

    I had an appointment today from 8-10, nobody came at that time. I called customer service, they said it was an emergency with the technician and promised that someone will come from 10-12. Nobody came during that time also. I called again, they said someone was coming at 12:30, still no one showed up. By one o’clock, after five hours of waiting, I could not wait any longer. I called again and said I didn’t care if they came, I am leaving. Customer service representatives are absolutely useless, because they can’t do anything if there is a problem. They promised me that a scheduling person will call me, and a manager will call me, but nobody reached out. They can’t fix the time of appointments and every time they schedule appointments, appointments get cancelled or rescheduled for another time without prior notice. I am sorry this is happening now, because a half year before it was an ok company.

    Their service sucks. I waited two months just for an appointment that was delayed! I had to go to Home Depot myself to get the rats out of my house, because the technicians (PELE) was not answering my messages for weeks to confirm my appointment so I rescheduled. When he finally arrived, he was already rude. He would not spray my house due to my dogs were fighting in my house but my son took them to my other son's house down the street. He still would not go into the home because he was afraid. I had to take two days off just to clean my home. Yet no one still has called me back due to this. I will definitely never use Orkin again!!! I was also charged and nobody ever helped me. He was also recording me.

    I paid for Orkin’s carpenter bee treatment (receipt attached). After being promised by their representative that the service would be guaranteed for a year. Within three weeks, the carpenter bees came back. When I called to report the issue, I was told I would get a call back. That never happened. I called multiple times and was ignored. My wife also called, and they told her the same thing— “we’ll call you back”—but again, no follow-up at all.

    Orkin never again answered our calls. Orkin is extremely quick to take your money, but when it comes to actually solving the problem or honoring their guarantee, they vanish. If they can’t handle the job, they should have the professionalism and maturity to say so upfront, instead of stringing customers along. This was a complete waste of money, time, and trust. I would not recommend Orkin to anyone.

    I normally don’t write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my recent experience with Orkin in hopes that it helps them improve their service. I reached out for help with a rodent issue and was eager to resolve it quickly. While every representative I spoke with on the phone was polite and kind, the actual service delivery fell far short. I made nearly 10 calls trying to get an appointment honored. I even took time off work and stayed home for a scheduled visit, only to have it canceled without explanation. It wasn’t until I called multiple times that I was told the operator was unwell and couldn’t come out.

    I understand emergencies and illness happen, but the lack of communication, follow-up, and flexibility in scheduling was very disappointing. Reschedules were only offered during my work hours, despite my repeated requests for alternatives. Calls often required a 4-10-minute wait, and although I was told the scheduler would reschedule, no one followed up. Meanwhile, I had already paid for the service, yet no treatment was delivered—and the rodent problem only worsened.

    What would make a difference:
    Clear and timely communication if an appointment must be canceled.
    More flexible scheduling options or backup operators so customers aren’t left waiting indefinitely.
    Proactive follow-up from the company instead of leaving the burden on the customer to call repeatedly.

    Ensuring that payment is tied to service delivery, not just booking.

    This was, unfortunately, the poorest service I have experienced to date. I truly hope Orkin reviews this feedback and makes the necessary changes, because customers like myself are reaching out at a stressful time when timely and reliable help is critical.

    Do NOT use Orkin. I have called Orkin 8 times. They will not give me corporate headquarters phone number nor will they give me the regional office. I was charged for services that were NOT done. They do not call back and the customer service is horrible! I have reported them to the better business bureau.

    Absolutely horrible experience with Critter Control branch of Orkin. We had them out for moles and nothing good happened. Huge upfront cost, ineffective treatments, absolutely horrible communication, techs coming out for "service" when ground was frozen solid. I saw one tech get out of his truck, walk around the solid frozen yard, get back in his truck and write up a $99 service report. Complete waste of a ton of money. Total upsell at beginning with assurances the mole problem would be solved with 2-3 ,treatments. Monthly treatments for 10 months during which time half our yard was destroyed. I've never dealt with a company with beyond horrible refusal to communicate.

    After over a year I am terrified of Orkin Inspector Ryan ** taking advantage of my disabled husband and me with severe phobia of rats/mice. Convinced we did not have mice infestation in our attic. He used fear tactics to get contract. I complained and nothing happened. He showed up at our house again this year after we were told he was forbidden to return and complaint last year. I am compelled to report for God knows how many more elderly and disabled people are being taken advantage of. I am sure the pictures he never gave us but after complaining a supervisor in Miss sent us pictures that didn’t even look like our attic insulation.

    I have had Orkin in my apartment multiple times through my apt building. The pests never went away and they came approx 8 times over 18 months. Technicians never spoke to me. Just came did the spray. Didn’t want to answer questions etc. My building has since changed to Abell and we are finally getting pest under control. I would not recommend Orkin.

    Spent the 1500 dollars for bed bugs. We had someone stay over and noticed right away. They were prompt in coming to tell me I had an infestation. The only problem was after three sprays they didn't get rid of the bed bugs and I'm out of the money.

    I called them to do a carpet beetle spray. They charged for that but did a very poor spraying of the perimeter focused on ants. They did not return my calls to adjust the price. I cancelled all future service with them. Very disappointed with their service and would not recommend. We are now using EcoShield and much more pleased with their service and would highly recommend that company.

    This was a worst company ever. They didn't get rid of not not my roaches. They kept bringing some girl here that I kept asking him to quit because she did a horrible job. They only sprayed my outside once. It was a horrible experience. I had to go out and get stuff to get rid of my own roaches. I would never use or can ever again and I suggest other people think about that too

    Signed up for a one time service with the expectation that I would have an inspector come check the issue after 2 treatments. Did not have the inspection but the worse issue was my card was charged for additional services without my authorization. I was told my paper was ticked off for monthly payments but my copy does not. Do you think they tried to resolve the issue or offer a credit. They are more focused on revenue than excellence service. Terrible customer service.

    I have an issue with Sugar Ants and had Orkin come over on July 3rd. But since then I am unable to contact them for revisit while ants are still there. Customer Service is non-existent. I have tried calling them several times - without any response or call back. One rude rep hung up on me after I started my complaint. Their 'web' is not functioning either so I can't search 'My Account' to register my complaint. The Orkin rep was supposed to call me 'in a week' after initial July 03 service. I haven't heard from him at all. I wrote an email to his supervisor Shawn **, who never returned my email.

    We have bees in the walls. We called other pest control places and they could not come out for a few days. We called Orkin and they could come out the same day. However, what they don't tell you is that an "inspector" will be out to assess the issue. Your issue is not resolved that day. We had no idea. The inspector did not come out the same day. They gave us a window of 2 hours, no show, no call. I called 45 minutes after the 2 hour window and no one had any idea why there was a no show. She put me on hold to check and we got disconnected. I will assume I wasn't hung up on. NO one called me back. I waited for over 5 mins and called back. They told me they can only call out so dropped calls are not returned. Turns out we had a large amount of rain and a few roads were flooded out so he was unable to come. Not a problem but no one could call us to let us know?

    Another employee called us after my call. He was to come out the next day. We still are not aware at this point that he is only there to assess the issue. He came out and was a nice young man. He informed us he was only assessing and someone would call to make an appointment. HOWEVER, we needed to pay him for the appointment ahead of time; we paid. Another day goes by and we now have an appointment on the calendar. I asked the person on the phone how the process would work, do we need to be out of the house, are the chemicals safe; she informed me that she only makes appointments and can not answer any questions. So I ask, can someone call me to answer my questions. She said the tech will answer when he comes out. Again, can someone call me ahead of time. Her response was that she will ask him but can't guarantee it. What???

    The tech comes out and I ask about the process. He at first said he didn't know. He walked up our stairs to the room and left a trail of mud on our stairs. I mentioned it and he went back down the stairs in the same shoes trailing the mud again to put on shoe coverings. Maybe you should have led with that? Then he talked with the inspector and told us he was going to poke holes in the wall and put powder in it. I asked about spraying where they come in. He can't do that because he doesn't have a ladder tall enough. Again, WHAT?? Why is there no communication between people at your company. This makes no sense to me.

    He poked holes, sprayed out the window close to where the bees are coming in but not where they are actually coming and couldn't get out of our home fast enough. He told us they are not allowed to go on a ladder above the first floor. So in other words, you were the wrong company for the job. HORRIBLE customer service, HORRIBLE communication internally and externally. We will NEVER call Orkin again. My husband had to get the ladder out and spray the outside of the house himself. Nice job Orkin for $300.

    I had a five year termite contract which included the bait traps. I told Orkin I wanted to go with the technician when they looked at the traps. Year after year they said they viewed the traps but I never saw them look. So now I lock my gate to the backyard. Then they say they looked at all the traps even though the gate was locked. I fired Orkin and made them remove the traps. Then a year later Orkin sends three different techs out in June after I fired the company the year before. They won’t stop harassing me. Next step is with a lawyer to get a restraining order

    Orkin came out on April 15th, put in a few trap and said they would be back in a month and every month of the 3 month contract. Two and a half months later, didn't hear from them. I called to ask them to remove the traps and was asked how long I want to extend the contract. Really don't listen. I said I don't want you back I want them traps removed and asked why no one has come back and was told that since they dropped the ball it was up to me to call, it wasn't their fault that I didn't follow up. Horrible admin service, the person that put in the traps was good, but the office admin HORRIBLE!!!

    If you are reading this, find some other company than Orkin. Please don't get cheated like we did. We have everything in emails and photos to prove their incompetence and or apathy. We should have known since most of the contract we signed dealt with arbitration and not suing them. They told us we had a bad mice and snake problem in our encapsulated crawlspace and attic, and probably the walls too. The work they quoted was expensive but based on other quotes they were on the high side but in line.

    They quoted 5 things to do. 2 of which they did not do at all, the other 3 they did attempt were complete fails. They incompetently or accidently unencapsulated our crawl space as well. We had to fix that ourselves. They came out 4 times and we had to be there to watch them since each time they did less work, and worse job. The managers came out the last time and it looks laughable. If Orkin's goal was to keep doing so bad we'd say don't come back and quit wasting our time then they succeeded at that!

    If this is the best you can do, your competitors appreciate you! Us on the other hand feel cheated out of our hard earned money for a laughably poor job. I plan on working my way up the Orkin chain of command and file a BBB complaint. Attached photos are AFTER they said they were done. We have many more if you're interested or Orkin's competitors.

When I called to have them come out again, the person taking calls, Mary, said she would have the GM call me, but he never did, then tried to upsell me.     I hired Orkin 8 months ago. My wife has severe reactions to scorpion stings, which have been life-threatening. I disclosed this very important fact to the Orkin representative who came to my home 8 months ago. They assured me that Orkin could protect my home from scorpions. On May 15th, Orkin came out to treat our home for scorpions. This morning, June 13th, I was stung by a scorpion in my clothes as I was getting dressed. Had that been my wife, she would be in the hospital, fighting for her life.

    When I called Orkin first thing this morning, they refused to talk to me, stating that I would have to communicate through email. Four emails and 3 phone calls later, I get a response via email that they will resend a technician to treat again tomorrow. They refused to address the fact that the last treatment failed to work. I asked for a plan that Orkin could give me that would be effective (via email). Their only response is to send a technician out and do the same thing that they did less than a month ago, which failed. No discussion, no review of their failed treatment program, no concern for my wife and her life or health, "Just send out a technician again."

    I advise anyone serious about the health of family members, looking for a caring, competent, and humane company, to look elsewhere. Orkin would not even talk to me until, after four emails, Corey called me with the same old response, "Let's do it again with the same technician." Zero, zero concern for my wife and her safety. I fired them. Moving to Georgetown Pest Control, who did talk to me on the phone (in person), gave me details on three very effective methods for scorpion control and has 638 five-star ratings out of 638 reviews. And they were very concerned about helping to protect my wife and her safety.

    If I could give a lower grade I would. The service out of the Syracuse Office is totally lacking. Took the day off, met with the Inspector, went over the pricing and services, signing the agreement and scheduled the work. Due to the nature of the chemicals, we had to not be present. Only to uncover that they never came to complete and never called to reschedule. It took two voice messages to get a return call and then the told to office manager to call - who knew nothing to say the least. That their machine was broken and needed to be fixed and they didn't know when the work could be done. A very poor representation from a major pest control company. SHAME ON THEM for lack of professionalism.

    Service technicians were two hours late for our initial appointment. They were also unprepared and couldn’t finish the job. They came back out (late again) and still didn’t properly finish the job. They were supposed to do exclusion work to keep pests out, but they left gaps larger than 1/4” left untreated! I would not rely on Orkin to do any proper exclusion work in the future. Not surprising since it’s just another opportunity for them to charge for extermination services. They’ve also refused to provide a customer copy of the service contract that was signed, which is extremely shady.

    I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I had mice and had an inspector come in, Robert **, who suggested some work to exclude mice from the home. Things were fine initially and I had no mice issue from December 2024 until May 2025. However I was supposed to have Bob stopping by with a lifetime warranty on the fiberglass insulation but he air coming. He made appointments with me and never showed up, never responded to me to explain or reschedule, and then completely quit responding. Now I have a significant mouse issue again and have to start all over with another company. I am looking into this further but intend to warn as many people as I can about what happens with Orkin after the initial couple of visits. Very disappointing.
