Purchased for home use late 2017. Only good quality; it’s quiet. Does not have a power switch on handle. (That was $500.00 more) What difference does that make? Try cleaning something while on a ladder. To shut it off you have to climb down the ladder and press the switch on the body. If something gets sucked in, e.g. corner of a curtain, clothing, etc., try to shut it off quickly. And remember, to have a switch on the handle is an additional $500.00 to an already very expensive vacuum.
To add to the frustration, the power cord return is a one-touch. (Meaning you do not have to press and hold the button to retract the cord.) You can easily bump the button while vacuuming. The cord retracts very quickly, whipping anything in its way, marking walls, baseboards and knocking ornaments down. The vacuum moves easily on hard surfaces but is a nightmare on carpet. It tends to roll over and guess what, it hits the cord-retract button and watch out for the flying cord. Then there is the power head. Mosel SEB 217-3 Electro Comfort. They claim that it is an auto-adjustable head. There is no adjustment, automatic or otherwise. We have a medium pile rug and can only drag the power head across it. You CANNOT push it. Drag it towards you then lift it, move ahead and put it down to drag the next section.
Then the extendable wand seized up and I went to my dealer to have it replaced on warranty. They filled out a warranty request right there in front of me and said it would be about two weeks wait. At three weeks I phoned and they said it was delayed. At five weeks I phoned and got the service guy who put me on hold and then came back and said, “Oh yah, it’s on order. Might be another couple of weeks”. At nine weeks without any notice from them I phoned and was told by someone else that there was no warranty request on file. That person said to come in, they would give me a new wand out of stock.

Easy to use. Lightweight and cleans perfectly. A bit expensive though. I have a Canister and a stick Miele - love them both. Tried Dyson (too heavy and cumbersome) and many other brands thru the years so I do have experience with vacuums.

After reading and conducting a fair amount of due diligence before purchasing new vacuum cleaners, we purchased Miele upright and canister vacuums. Relative to other brands, the reputation of Miele is "high quality" and "expensive." To date, the vacuums have worked great (home use, only). Recently, our upright model would not turn off when pushing the on/off button on the handle; we could only turn it off by unplugging the unit; we had never encountered this issue with other brands in over 45 years of vacuum ownership/use.
The repair store also claimed to never have seen this issue. $132 later (top section of handle required replacement), the vacuum works again. My issue is two fold: I suspect a very inexpensive (few dollars) connector, switch, or terminal required replacing, but due to the assembly only design and manufacture, the handle needed replacing, as the repair shop could not get to the faulty connector.
Secondly, I contacted Miele USA to offer my feedback - high cost to repair, never had this issue previously, Miele's supposed superior quality, and the higher cost of the unit itself (I expect more of a product when I pay this much for it). Response: "Sorry." "What would you like me to do." Speaking to a service manager - "I'm sorry for your inconvenience. I'll bring it up at our next staff meeting...." I'm sorry, when paying $800-$1250 for a vacuum, I expect a little higher quality and customer service. Bottom line: Disappointed in both the quality of the product and the customer service.

Prior to my last vacuum purchase, I was trying to decide between Dyson and Oreck. Online search results were clear - skip them both and go with Miele. It cost a bit more than I planned to spend, but SO worth it! Miele does an amazing job on both wood floors and carpeted areas. Also very easy to use - body swivels to go around corners and lays flat to reach under beds. All attachments are incorporated into the body, so it's super easy to take care of baseboards and upholstery as you go. I will never own another brand of vacuum.

The best vacuum I've ever brought. Had an Electrolux, Hoover, Bissell, Kenmore canister, Shark with every attachment where my long hair never tangled around the brush and an Oreck. Shark & Bissell are the worse to empty if like me have allergies, made me quite ill. Bissel was light cordless. My Miele I bought canister to keep my new mattress clean and use to do my drapes, dust my furniture and use to dust my leather furniture. It is an accompaniment to use with my upright Oreck. Miele has a powerful motor engineered in Germany with best suction over even my Electrolux canister. I love that it has bags rather than emptying the canisters and the same with my Oreck upright. Bags are the best to use. I recommend Miele canister over any other. Love my Oreck but next upright will be a Miele. You get what you pay for and it is an investment well spent in your health as you clean.

Very reliable. Long lasting. Gifted one to my daughter. Bought from a local vacuum/sewing machine dealer. They recommend this make very highly. Have had this make about 5 plus years. So far no repairs needed.

Miele Vacuums manufacturing is mainly in Germany with parts from other parts of Europe. Not China or elsewhere. It is refreshing to buy something that is not made in China and is of the highest quality. It really works well. It easily transitions from hard surface to carpet or vice versa. I have really enjoyed mine and have not had a single issue with it. Mine is over 6 years old and would highly recommend anyone to get one. It will be your last vacuum cleaner.

We bought a Miele Lumen dishwasher a couple years ago and have had nothing but problems from the time it was installed. The dishes don’t get clean. I have tried all their “suggestions” and several different soaps. A tech came out a few times but nothing changed. As a last-ditch effort, I recently decided to try it on the “sanitize” cycle and that worked finally. The part I hate about this is that it is a 2 hour and 50-minute cycle!!!! So much for saving on electricity. On their website it says, “Save up to 50% on electricity. All Miele Dishwashers can be connected to a hot water connection at a temperature of up to 150°F. This reduces electricity consumption by up to 50% and running times by up to 10%. In the Economy program, the energy consumption of the dishwasher drops to as little as 0.45 kWh.” If I ran it on economy my dishes would be so dirty!
The dishwasher also condensates or leaks water under my cabinet and drips onto the floor leaving a puddle. Not to mention it drips on the electronic panel. I imagine there is a failure waiting to happen there. On the same side it drips it also build up all the gunk on the inside of the door panel. It is weird and I have no clue how this is happening. I keep cleaning it off and the next day it is back again after a cycle of dishes. I have pictures and video of everything I am explaining. Lastly, I have a horrible rattle when the dishwasher first starts.
We had a working KitchenAid before we thought we were “upgrading” to a Miele. We now wish we had never got rid of the KitchenAid. We have a Miele vacuum and have been happy. Miele is supposed to be the best of the best. Sad to say that after our experience with the dishwasher we will never buy a Miele product again. To say I hate this dishwasher is an understatement! I’m ready to “office space” it!
After I wrote a review a while back a manager had contacted me and had someone come out to try to “fix” it. However, nothing was ever fixed. In fact, after inspecting under my sink recently I have noticed that the water line is connected to the cold water. It should be connected to the hot water, per their website. I have reached out recently but no one has returned my emails/calls.

This is a heavy duty vacuum, and when it works it thoroughly cleans well. I have 3 corgis and wanted something built to last to endure the dog hair. The continued problem is clogging and no suction. Then it spreads dust and throws debris all over, and the edges spew out dog hair as you move it back and forth during vacuuming. It’s not an easy vacuum to work with in checking all of the places that clogs occur. Just to gain access to the brush roller you have to remove 6 different size T10 and T20 star bits. There is a plastic piece on the back of the vacuum that requires a flathead screwdriver, I’ve had to take it off so many times that the plastic is stripped. I’m very disappointed with the design and wouldn’t recommend it for dogs.

This Miele upright is a workhorse with a variety of settings and options. It does all that it is asked and then some. Bought on a recommendation, pleased with result. Would buy again, but don't expect a need for sometime. Love it!

I love this small compact vacuum cleaner. It really sucks, pun intended. After all, that's what what a good vacuum cleaner should do. This model is also quiet, not like the jet engine I used to have. The floor height adjustment is a little under built but works fine. Being mostly made of plastic, the unit is very light so it's easy to drag. The dust bag is easily replaced and is readily available online. And, taking it out of the box and assembling it is easy enough. It is a little on the expensive side but is worth the few extra dollars because it does the job well. Yes, I'd recommend this unit wholeheartedly.

Cleaning the carpet power brush is a bit time consuming because it does not spit into 2 pieces such that cleaning the roller is easy. Cleaning the two bagless containers is easy and saves $$ in the long run seeing as Miele vacuum bags are relatively expensive.

Irobot should have brushes on both sides. Before I realized that one of the rollers had a worn spot, it made permanent grooves in my wool rug. I can't get those grooves out. It's used every day in my 3 cat living room. The Miele is so powerful it can lift up a 5x7 wool rug. I use it to deeply clean rugs. Placement of power button can cause one to accidentally push cord rewind.

I have owned three Miele canister vacuum cleaners. All of them were excellent machines that did a great job on all surfaces and successfully captured all of the dust and dirt while trapping allergens. These machines are also very reliable lasting through upwards of ten years of heavy use.

We have had every brand and model over the years. Some work great for a few months and then start doing a poor job. Most are just OKAY to begin with and soon are useless. A few were bad news from the beginning and were immediately returned. We have had our Miele for 6 or 7 years. It still does an excellent job of cleaning. It cost $600.00 dollars but the other ones only lasted a year or so. If had had purchased cheap vacuums we would have spent a thousand bucks by now AND we would be in the market for new one again. I expect we will get another 10 or 15 years out of our Meile.

The vacuum works relatively well overall. It's quite expensive and a bit cumbersome to drag around as it is not an upright. Having to change heads every time you change surfaces is also a negative. If you use the carpet head on tile or hardwood you damage the head over time. The bags can also be pricey. This is the second one I've owned, but probably the last.

Miele Classic vacuum is the most efficient vacuum I have ever used. This is a canister vacuum. It is outstanding on my wood floor kitchen, getting in to all corners using the parquet floor head.. It is also outstanding on my oriental rugs using the rug/floor head for a really clean rug. You can then use the smaller attachments for your curtains, walls, woodwork, etc. If you buy it from an authorized dealer you get a better warranty. Since the Miele is so highly rated I just bought it off of Amazon

This handle is awkward, bulky and make it all but impossible to use the brush attachments with any type of grace. It's a total design fail in so many ways. Someone must of told the designers to put a light on the hose handle at any cost to go design principles and that what they did. : (

I purchased a Miele canister vacuum in 2019. Less than 1 year later the powerhead stopped working. I contacted the customer care department and was advised there were no repair depots in my area. I was given a phone number for a company in Ontario. When contacted they advised me I would have to ship the entire vacuum to them for service. I am very unimpressed with both the quality of the product and the service. These are not inexpensive vacuums and I do not live in a small community. I would not advise anyone to purchase from Miele.

I recently tried Miele's bagless canister vac using their 30-day risk-free trial. Within minutes I had rendered it useless. I ran the wand up under my sofa and gently bumped the switch holding the telescoping wand pieces together, whereupon the plastic piece popped off, broken. One tiny sliver of plastic had broken off, which caused the switch cover to come off, and that was the only thing holding the two pieces of wand together. There is apparently no replacement for that part, either; you have to buy a whole new wand to the tune of $115. I had to tape the wand parts together to continue vacuuming. The wand is heavy stainless steel, held together with a piece of trash.
I have used a lot of different vacuums in my day, but have never seen anything like this absurd connection. Vacuums take a lot of abuse and should be build for it. This wand connection will break if you drop the wand or, like me, bump it against the underside of your sofa. In addition, Miele's tools are pathetic. A 4 or 5 inch crevice tool? Really? Where would you use that? And I noticed that the inside parts (like the housing for the filter) are soft plastic, easily distorted or broken if you don't reinsert very carefully. Very poor materials for such an expensive machine.

The airflow in this unit follows a very circuitous path. The result is that it gradually plugs. Because the path is circuitous, you can't shove something through it to clear the blockage. There is an access port on the back but this still does not allow the blockage to be pushed through. Clearing requires removal of the bottom plate (releasing spring-loaded parts which makes reassembly difficult), and breaking up the blockage with a hooked object. I note that a major local vacuum distributor carries the Miele line but none of their upright models.

The Miele canister wheels are too small - it's a pain to pull around. Needs much larger wheels! It's a decent vacuum, wish it was bagless! Overpriced far as I'm concerned for what you get. We have a silver anniversary model - special somehow - think it had extra attachments. But still nothing to write home about.
