Stay far away. They stuck me with 2 gentlemen who didn't speak English, I don't speak Spanish so a lot of what I needed didn't happen. They tore up my baseboards, carpet was so poorly nailed, it started coming off the floor in less than 2 months. But then, like they do, they declared bankruptcy so they didn't have to pay what they owed or honor their warranties. Naturally, they're back in business again, looking to see who they can rip off.

Great experience. Store manager very pleasant and knowledgeable. Installers very professional. Floor ordered and installed very quickly. Very pleased and satisfied in every way. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of floor replacement! A very amazing experience from start to end. Store manager extremely pleasant, helpful, responsive, and a pleasure to do business with.

Ordered and paid for products. They knew the order was incomplete said nothing. During installation we notice we are missing pieces. Called the store, they acknowledge the paid for order but stated they didn't know where the missing components were. This started the blame game, distribution, lost order, computer issues, etc. This went on for nearly 2 weeks. Complaining to local store was useless. Called corporate. I was told I should expect these issues. Ridiculous. Zero customer service.

Purchasing the flooring for my new home seemed to be easy, the salesmen seemed knowledgeable and understood what we were looking for. Less than 2 years after install, the floor is cracking in 9 separate boards and the company refuses to honor their warranty in any way. Don't waste your money on subpar product or the people that peddle it.

Lumber Liquidators LL Flooring Installation Review - Buyer Beware. On November 27th, 2022, we had Lumber Liquidators install new flooring in our home. Following their instructions, we brought the flooring inside to acclimate on October 16th, 2022, and removed all furniture from the rooms on October 28th, 2022, in preparation for the floating floor installation. Unfortunately, just one year later, we are experiencing significant problems with the flooring. The floor has separated in multiple areas, and in one spot, it has chipped and broken apart quite severely. We had a contractor assess the damage, and the repair cost for just one of the damaged areas is estimated to be thousands of dollars.
I have absolutely no confidence in the installers Lumber Liquidators uses. Despite the clear issues, Lumber Liquidators has evaded responsibility, passing the blame onto others. I was told they are not liable for the problems. Based on this experience, I do not recommend using Lumber Liquidators for flooring installation. Furthermore, given their evasive behavior and unwillingness to take ownership of the poor installation, I would not even purchase flooring from them again. It's clear they do not adequately oversee the quality of work performed by their contracted installers. This experience is a prime example of "buyer beware." Everything may seem fine initially, but be prepared for potential problems down the road, especially after the one-year mark. Our floor looked great until it started falling apart. I strongly advise potential customers to consider other options.

I purchased $6100 of flooring materials. A month later, the company filed bankruptcy and changed their name to Lumber Liquidators. I'm out the money and have no floors to show for it. Run as fast as you can from this company. Total Rip off artists.

We opened an account through LL Flooring to have our floors done. They declared bankruptcy, never delivered the floors, and did not give us our money back. They then rebranded as a new company and continue to sell their floors. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They cannot be trusted!

What a travesty. This company took my money and haven’t done the work. When I call to see what the problem is they can’t find my paperwork. Ripoff! Do not use this company because of shoddy business practices.

We hired LL Flooring to do an install in our kitchen, living room, laundry room, and one of our bathrooms as part of our home renovation. We had thought since they had decent reviews that they would do a good job and stand behind their work. We were wrong. The first issue was the crew they hired to do this. We were called shortly before and notified that the crew would not be able to speak English but there would be at least one person on the crew who could communicate with us somewhat. This in itself wouldn't have been a huge deal but it meant that they just didn't communicate with us at all during the process so we ended up with things like large gaps in front of the baseboards rather than being asked if we wanted to remove the baseboards, a diagonal transition between the laundry room and kitchen, etc.
The main issue however manifested after the install. We had paid quite a large sum to have this work done as when I had done it in the past myself I ended up with gaps. Gaps are what I ended up with this time too, but at least there was a reputable company who would handle this right? Wrong. The first warranty request was a nightmare, I had to argue with them that I would not be providing extra flooring for them to fix their mistake (turns out LL Flooring decided to send the same crew back). Finally they agreed to provide the extra flooring to correct the mistake but they didn't correct it. After failing to figure out a way to make the floor gap free, they just put putty in it and seemed confused as to why I did not consider this acceptable. I argued with someone on the phone for some time who tried to assure me it would look fine after awhile and that I should just sign that the work was completed to my satisfaction.
I ended up refusing to sign that and they went on their way. Fast forward to several months back. I attempted to do another warranty claim and this time LL Flooring just stopped replying to me after I sent in the pictures of the issues. These weren't just minor issues, some of the flooring against the tub in the bathroom was at a forty-five degree angle now rather than flat against the floor! After reaching out a number of times to the people who had emailed me asking for more photos and getting no response we have given up. We will just have to live with these issues and warn others that while the products themselves may be ok (won't know for a couple of years about that) that they should find another company to do business with as the install and warranty process are abysmal.

LL Flooring has the worst customer service. I was not contacted until I filed a second complaint. And three months later still no contact. The contractor they sent damaged my walls and did not order the right amount of flooring even though I repeatedly told them what to measure.

This company does not stand behind flooring and labor covered under warranty. Now, since it has been about 3 months since filing our claim, we are now told the company has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which is about a 10k lesson learned for us.

The floor was installed in 2022. We immediately had problems. The planks warped, bowed, and came apart. The top of the planks separated from the base. The installer has returned twice, but the problems only got worse. LL Flooring continues to delay and is now saying the warranty period has passed. They lied about trying to reach us along with other lies about the warranty. Learn from our misfortune.

Maybe a year ago we had LL Flooring to do a job for us on the kitchen floor. The results were horrible from the start. They said that the floor was not level but they could handle it with some of the products they use. Long story short, upon completion of installation gaps started to appear and when we complained they sent someone out to replace the boards. The gist of the conversation that I had with the installer was that this product would not hold up to wheelchairs. Evidently, this is true because the flooring did not hold up in high-traffic areas such as in front of the stove and sink which is where the photos in this review were taken.

No warranty that will do anyone any good. Put the floors in during Covid shut downs in 2020 and tried a warranty about a year later when the flooring was coming apart and cracking and they claimed it was performing up to their standards. Now in 2024 the whole thing has to be replaced and the company has no solution. It appears we were sold the wrong underlayment and this caused the thin planks to give and Crack. Now we have a huge replacement and cost to figure out. These floors are sold as is. Buyer beware. They do not stand by their products.

The installation of our LL Flooring was good. But the installers didn't speak English well. He used the translator app on his phone, which was fine. They worked really fast. I was pleased with the way they worked and did their job. They were done within a few hours. However, the end cap, that's the transition from the plank to the carpet that's in the hallway. It came bent. But that was my only complaint and when they put it in, it still stayed bent a little bit. I ended up having to put books on top of it, which helped a little bit. But I can still notice. Probably somebody who didn't know it was bent wouldn't notice, but I noticed it. But I got the Shoreway and it's a great color. It's not too red. I didn't want it red or yellow. It's a good color and it looks like wood. Hopefully, it'll wear well.

We used them for carpet and it's been a bad experience. The installation left us with a seam 4" into the hall instead of where the room meets the hall and the carpet is going in the wrong direction. I called and asked them to please come out and look at the carpet, I sent pictures. After several back-and-forths, they sent out the people who did the installation, a contracted group, and their answer was to stretch the seam.
Now it's been a few months, and we never heard back from them, and the carpet is of the lowest quality. With normal use, it is already staining and needs to be professionally cleaned, and from day one, it had a musty old smell. When I asked the installer if they thought the carpet was going in the right direction, that person said that's what the direction said. It seems to me LL Flooring is subcontracting our business to the cheapest labor they can find. Also, we received a bankruptcy letter regarding LL Flooring so why is their rating still so good... The guys I spoke with on the phone were nice enough, but it was always someone else who made the decisions. All I can say is beware of where you find your ratings.

I am a real estate broker with 15 years experience with other flooring companies and consumers, and I was very familiar with LL Flooring's product and other customer experiences. I knew I was gonna work with LL for my own home. It was wonderful when I did my purchase. I walked into the showroom and talked with the rep that was there. I told him exactly what I wanted for the carpeting, that I have a dog, and that I wanted extra padding. It took me 15 minutes to pick out what I wanted for the carpeting and schedule the install. I explained that for work, I was going out of the country and I was trying to get everything picked out so the materials could come in for when I got back so I could have it installed. I gave about a month lead time from whenever I was in the showroom till when I got back so everything could be installed.
For the engineered hardwoods, what I originally wanted was sold out and wasn't being reordered. But it worked out seamlessly because it forced me to look around the showroom and pick out something that I ended up liking much better. What I ended up ordering was comparable in pricing as well. The carpeting went seamlessly. They were in and out less than a full day. The hardwood process was a little clunky, and I was not entirely thrilled with it. The contractors themselves were fantastic and all around good group of guys. But the materials being dropped off for the hardwoods, because they have to be in an AC environment, they did not communicate with the warehouse and the other vendor, so I ended up being a project manager for them. I am used to doing that because I've been around construction for almost 20 years, but that is not the consumer’s job. They should have someone on the inside doing that.
I had to talk to the driver and tell him the information that he needed for the job. For instance, the house was vacant because I had all the floors being done before I moved in. He was saying that the job was gonna have to be rescheduled because the flooring needed to sit for a couple days and we couldn't do install on the same day as flooring. I said, "It’s a two-part job. The carpeting is being done on one side of the house. You can deliver. The driveway will be empty. You can put your materials on the other side of the house. It'll sit for a full 24 hours before the team for the floor comes in.” I also had to walk him through every step of the job so he would deliver materials.
The flooring itself is seamlessly installed. It's beautiful. The guys took out my washer, dryer, range, and refrigerator which were the only things that were in the house. Then they put them back and rehooked them up for me. I was in and out because I thought the install was only going to take two days max for the flooring. I had surgery scheduled on day three and could not be here, so I had to send friends and family to check in on them periodically.
The installation took an entire five days. They were here a lot longer and the trim look a little unfinished. There are parts where they cut the trim and the bare, natural wood is exposed on the end where everything else is white. There are parts where they didn't do the trim continued on the stair rise, but they did it on the bottom where it met the floor so I can see light or darkness behind the steps where I need to go back in with my own nail gun and finish it off or have a handyman do it. Since the wood flooring rose the height of the floor up, my closet door could not go back on the hinges at the entry for the closet, so I have to find a handyman to plane it because I can't put it back on. It's off its hinges right now in the entry way and looks a little sloppy until I find a carpenter that'll come in just for a one-off job to plane a singular door. But I would still recommend LL Flooring. They're well priced.

I purchased laminate flooring from LL Flooring. My experience was excellent overall. I was very satisfied. I got four estimates before I went to LL Flooring. I live in Espanola and they were gonna charge me three or four times more. I'm so pleased with LL Flooring I wanna do my whole house and I will go through LL Flooring again. There was a problem and they had to go and buy something from Lowe's because the floor was not even underneath the carpet. They did it so fast. Everything was done with very much a lot of professionalism. Everything is perfect too. It's nice. Overall, they're a great company. I would recommend them to anybody.

I got vinyl flooring from LL and I did the installation myself. It was at a good price. It's just I didn't get the right stuff that I purchased. So, if I could have gotten the right stuff I purchased, it would have been a lot better. When I got to the store, they didn't even have the product I ordered and they didn't know where it went. So, I had to go back. Then they gave me something that was totally different than what I ordered. But because I had already loaded it up, I just kept it because I wasn't gonna reload up some odd boxes and take back in my minivan. They had already discounted it prior because it was on a clearance. So, it was already discounted, but they didn't offer me any further discount than what it was already on clearance.
I'd tell others to go to Carpet One or somewhere else. The people at LL were extremely nice, and the guy that was helping me the initial time was very nice. It was just the quality. I was gonna return the product and they're going out of business up here, so I didn't return it. I offered to take it back, but I didn't really want to because I don't wanna deal with it in my cost. They said that they didn't have anybody in the town to deliver. So, they didn't offer me delivery. So, I loaded it up in my minivan and my husband's Kia and we took it home. So, I did ask if they wanted to return it that way and they could figure out how to get it back. I would have done that. But past that, they didn't want to and I wasn't going to load it back up in my car. So, I just kept it.

I originally talked to the LL Flooring location in Riverhead about a flooring that I wanted and they took a long time to get back to me. Then, when said they had it for me, they said that it was sold out. They're perfectly nice people, but they weren't able to get my order done. So, I called the Astoria location. They found it for me in another state and arranged shipping. They went above and beyond. They did everything so quickly, beautifully, and efficiently. They also followed up every step of the way and there was really great communication. And any obstacles, they solved. I love the Astoria location and I would work with them any time I need new flooring. They were really easy to work with and Shaf, the rep who answers the phone, was so helpful. I got vinyl flooring and I like it. But it seems a tiny bit soft and I wish it was a little harder. Other than that, the installation team was excellent.

The only place I could find the style of the type of wood flooring that I was looking for was at LL Flooring. I bought a 12-millimeter laminated wood flooring with a pad attached in the Chandler store in Arizona, and the quality is great. The sales reps were great too. I got a separate individual to do my flooring and I use him as a handyman. He does a great job. I'm trying to do my whole house. I've done the living room, dining room, and two bedrooms, so far, and I have one bedroom left to do. All in all, I love the flooring. I bought vinyl tiles for one extremely large room. LL Flooring was very good as far as helping me pick out the color and what I should consider. The two men in the store were extremely helpful. I was replacing a water damage that had been carpeted before, and I knew nothing about this kind of flooring. They told me the different things of how to maintain it. The material that I ordered was in stock in one of their stores which is about 30 minutes from here, and they made arrangements for my contractor to pick it up there. Everything went very smoothly. I was sorry to see LL Flooring is closing in our area.
