I like my experience with the sales rep. It was good. I understand how softening and filtration system works, and the overall knowledge of how the Kinetico system works led me to move forward with it. The water is softer with Kinetico and the customer support was great early on. They installed when they said they were going to install. Everything moved pretty smoothly when we were getting everything set up over here.
Hi Charles,
Everything we expect to hear with the name Kinetico. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Kinetico Customer Support
We have sewage pumping through our pipes. It’s so bad that our Kinetico system makes a huge difference. We don't drink the water because we don't trust anything coming out of any faucet in the house but the water is clear. Kinetico is a lot more affordable than their competitors and you get similar, if not better, results.
I went with Kinetico for the quality of the product and reputation, and the improvement in our water has been substantial. Kinetico is fantastic. I have a radio show and I recommend them.
The hardness of the water has much improved since I got my Kinetico system. The one thing I do wish is the tank for the salt. I've had two of these in my lifetime. At another house, I had one as well, not a Kinetico though. It worked fine, but it had a much bigger salt holder and I'd rather fill it up and not have to worry about it. The tech did a fine job but the only thing was that it seemed a little shady in areas. He had a good product but professionally, it was little iffy.
Hi Brian,
Thanks for the note. Please feel free to contact Kinetico Customer Support at 800.944.9283 or customersupport@kinetico.com if you feel there is activity in the field that Kinetico should be aware of. We cannot fix a problem if we don't know it exists.

I wasn't sure about purchasing a Kinetico system because of the dollar and cents it was going to cost. I purchased a unit that had been returned and was able to get it at a discounted price. We continue to be pleased with it every day and the minimum amount of salt used. Everything else about the Kinetico system has been working very well for us.
We had used RainSoft for many years. When we had an issue, we found out they modified a bunch of stuff so we did some research and went with Kinetico. I love my Kinetico system. The rep comes out here and changes the big filter. Whenever I need smaller filters under the cabinet, I just get in touch with him, and he sends me a bill. I send him the money online, my filters are shipped to me, and I change them.
Thank you for sharing your review Carmel. We're glad your Kinetico system and your experience have been positive.
Thanks again,The Kinetico Team
Their rep showed up in my house to demo the system and my wife liked it. I've noticed a difference in the water since having Kinetico and for maintenance, I put salt in it every time it runs out. It's easy.
The installers came right in and knocked it out. I had the water pipe burst one winter but they came out and fixed it. When people come visit, we get good compliments about the system and I'm happy to show them. The upkeep is minimal. I just gotta keep salt in it.
The purchase and installation all went pretty smoothly. I maintain the system myself. With it, I have soft good water. My daughter likes it a lot and sometimes, she would come over and take a bath. There was a time when I had an issue and the techs kept coming out and doing something then coming back. That went on for a little while before Kinetico figured it out. They had to change out the head on top of the unit.
We purchased the mid-high level Kinetico system for about $1,500. We've had it for about four years and it's been great. My wife's allergies are a lot better. We also have the water package with the three different biofilters for purification. We had one issue with it, but it was under warranty and our installer took care of it. It's been working great. This product has made a big difference in my wife's quality of living. We're very happy with it. We're planning to build a home in Thibodaux in about three years, and we will invest in another system.
Hi Toddy,
Thanks for your time. Improving people's lives through better water is our goal!
Kinetico Customer Support
When I first bought my house six years ago, the water was not really good. It tested with all kinds of contaminants. So I called this company in New Orleans and they came out and tested the water and I bought the Kinetico system. It was 7,000 bucks and I've been really pleased with it. The only thing I have to do is maintain the salt outside in the little container. Then once a year, the company that sold me the water system comes out and replaces the filters and changes the UV lights. It's about $300 a year to maintain it. The water seemed to be softer and it really has no taste at all. It's clear. Getting the system is one of the best decisions I ever made. Everybody comes over to the house and just goes on and on about the water.
The techs come to replace the filters when they're needed and I haven't had any issues with them. But the filters are very expensive. Every time we need to have the filters replaced, it's around $250. The system itself is really expensive too compared to others that I've had in the past at other houses. But overall, the quality of our water is good. I was getting bottled water before I got the system. So the convenience of having water straight out of the tap is better than having to lug water jugs.
I got a three-part filtration system and the quality of the water is better with it. It's convenient and the water tastes better. It's a little pricey but it's a good product.
The people from Kinetico were nice but they were very off personally. The guy came to my house in a full-blown suit which was weird. Then, he walked in my garden on my plants and I didn't like that. My neighbor and I were comparing prices and the rep was doing special prices for different people and he was also throwing in a cruise if you referred a friend. The cruise was a complete sham.
I was thorough with how I wanted the system installed 'cause I saw how the neighbors had theirs installed. There were little bitty things like when they drilled through my cabinets and then left all the wood shavings in there and then shoved everything back in the cabinet. That bothered me and I was a little annoyed. Also, the system affected the water pressure in my refrigerator and that never got fixed.
But Kinetico's product is good and I'm happy with it. The bin that contains the salt could be a bit sturdier though because it tends to warp if you fill the pellets. It makes me uneasy having plastic sitting out in the sun. It's not gonna hold up long term. Other than that, my water tastes better and my hair and skin are a lot softer since having the system installed.
Kinetico sent out representatives to work with me and they installed it in one day. It was pretty simple. So far, I've been dealing with them. They came out a few times to change a few of my filters and I haven't had any issues with them up to this part. The system is a little pricey. But other than that, I like it.

Kinetico Customer Support
My wife and I needed a whole house water softener. We contacted Owens Water in Traverse City, MI after an exhaustive search. I've worked with softeners and demineralizers as a Marine Engineer. Tom ** came to our house and tested our water. No surprise that our water was hard and contained iron. Tom recommended the Kinetico 2060 non-electric softener. We ordered package #22 along with 2 extra filters and 3 extra 50lb bags of salt. 2 days later, Owens Water from Clare, MI arrived with our equipment. The technician was very professional and worked fast. He answered all my questions and went over routine maintenance of the softener, things to look out for, and basic troubleshooting steps to take if a problem came up.
The softener is working perfectly with significant improvement in our water quality. We use less detergent in our laundry washer, less soap & shampoo in the shower, no more mineral rings in our toilet bowls and iron deposits, no more residue on the shower heads, no more clogged aerators at the faucets, and no more mineral deposits on our dishes from the dishwasher.
The softener does not utilize electricity to operate and regenerate. This softener is a very high-end system I fully expect to give us many years of faithful, problem-free service. The Kinetico system's footprint is slightly larger than a comparable Culligan system or one of those softener systems you'll find in home supply stores but the Kinetico system is a well engineered, robust, and more efficient system with a larger softening capacity. The Kinetico has a built-in bypass that allows for uninterrupted water service during filter replacement and the regeneration cycle uses soft water to regenerate, keeping the ion exchange resin & filter media cleaner and on line longer. That's a big plus. The ion exchange tanks are constructed of non-corrosive materials with bond-strand resin shells.
This system came with a ten year warranty. The only issue is parts & supply availability. Proprietary filters and recommended salt are a little on the expensive side and not always available. "Sorry, we just sold our last one." "Sorry, the items you need are on backorder." "Sorry, the shipment has been delayed.". I live in a rural area and the nearest dealer is about 100 miles travel round trip so I like to keep a few extra essentials, like filters and salt, on hand at the house just in case something's unavailable when I need them. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with our Kinetico water softening system and I heartily recommend Kinetico to anyone looking to improve their water quality.
The initial interaction with Kinetico was okay. The challenge came with servicing as the techs are not very polite. They just show up at the house and it's not good at all. It's a shame because I haven't been able to find somebody else that works for Kinetico in New Orleans. It's the same rude guy every time we have to make a phone call. Then, they cancel my appointment. It's like pulling teeth and I wish that there was another person who could come service my system. The problem is the person servicing in the local market. Other than that, my system is fine.
The system was moved from my old house to my new house. It works. We're satisfied.
The last system I had was eight years old when it broke on me. It was outside, and it was good, but in New Orleans, it froze that year really bad. Unfortunately, I neglected to cover it and let it freeze. I got the Premier from Kinetico, which is my fifth one and hopefully my last. I hate salespeople, but Kinetico's guy was really good. Also, the minute I knew my wife was pregnant, I got the best water system I could for the house. The Premier had a lot of good reviews. The mechanical sounded efficient to me, and I liked the fact that it's low maintenance compared to the four I had before. Some of the features include not needing an electrical connection, and it solved a big problem for me. The second biggest feature is the double tanks. I like that we are never ever going to be using water while it's going through a recycle.
I've been having water softeners for 30 years. It's better water all the way around. Anytime you can eliminate anything possibly that's coming through your city water system, why not? I quadruple filter any water I cook or drink with. My daughter just bought a house in Austin, and she's only been in it for two months and she's already, "Dad. What do I need to do? I've got to get a water softener in my house. My brand new shower stall and all my brand new faucets got this white crap on it." Yesterday, I went through all the literature and told her to get one of Kinetico's systems, and she's trying to buy one right now.
The installation was an easy and simple process. The system operates pretty good. The water is pretty much clear and soft and what the machine's supposed to do.
I worked for the water plant at the time. I knew what was left in the water and I didn't wanna drink it. Because all the water plant does is take the dirt out of the water, and then chlorinate it to kill any bacteria. It doesn't take any of the dissolved stuff out of the water, chemicals and stuff like that. We live in Louisiana. We get our water from the Mississippi, which is the toilet bowl of America. Everybody and their cousin abuses the Mississippi River, so I didn't want it to be ingested in my family's bodies. And working for waterworks, I realized that. That's why I started selling Kinetico.
Setting up the system and installing it was easy outside. I was a little disappointed on the inside installation, going from under the counter to my refrigerator. The tech drilled holes through my cabinet and past the hose, the PVC tubing, too close to one of the drawers in the cabinet and it pinched it and it kept having leaks. I could hear the pressure tank filling up constantly and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. It wasn't until I remodeled my kitchen that I found it, and that upset me, that I had water damage from the installation.
But after I put in new cabinets and fixed the floors, I ran the PVC tubing through a conduit. That way, the tubing couldn't get damaged at the back of the cabinet. So, that was a plus. It was sort of an extra protection because anything in the cabinet could cut the tubing. And by putting it inside of a piece of conduit, PVC pipe, just something small enough to pass it through to give it extra protection, that I wouldn't have to replace floors again or cabinets.
Everybody in Louisiana that pulls water from the Mississipi ought to have something because there's just so much chemical dumps in the river. It's not healthy for the body. We use it for coffee and our sleep apnea machines. And there's never any build-up, crust or sediment inside the machines. I don't have scale build-up on it and that's nice. And when I order new filters, I usually get two, one to change at that time and one I can change later on. And that way, Kinetico doesn't have to come out and do it. Less hassle for them. You get two brain cells to rub together, it's not that hard to do it.
We upgraded the water system in our home to the Kinetico brand. We use Kinetico in our business as well. So we thought it was a good set. We’ve been pleased with the system. It works well.
Thanks David, for your support of the Kinetico brand!
I'm in New Orleans, so we don't have good tap water. We've liked the quality of our water since getting our Kinetico system installed. The installer has checked in on us. A couple of times, he came and changed the filter.
I like having a water purifier. I'm drinking pure water and I don't have to get water delivered. I had to contact them recently because the system turned itself off. It does that when it runs out of purification and I found out that it was my icemaker making it run out so fast so I just turn it on when I need it. Everything is still working fine.
The installation went pretty well. The techs came when they said they would and got everything put in. We have well water and it has a lot of iron. It was really staining up our appliances. There has been a big difference with the iron. I wear white uniform shirts to work and they would turn yellow. Since we got the system, we haven't had that problem. I can launder them again. But, I have to replace the little sediment filter on the outside more often because we have so much iron. That filter fogs up and lowers a lot of pressure. Usually, about every six months I have to change it. The guy told me that normally, it would be a year.
Since having Kinetico, I've had no issues with the water staining. The grout stays white in the shower and the showerhead doesn't start spraying into funky patterns because of calcium build-up on the little sprayhead. Also, my wife and I are both self-proclaimed water snobs now because we go to other places or drink bottled water and find out the water that we drink does not taste anywhere as good as the water that comes out of our water dispenser.
I had a different softener when I bought my house in 2004. It wasn't a purely mechanical one like this Kinetico I have. The Kinetico is much better and since switching over, I've noticed my water is soft. I had a couple of issues like when the salt's crusty but the vendor was able to resolve them. I just contact them and they're very responsive. I definitely recommend Kinetico.
I purchased a whole water system and the installation was fine. The water quality seems to be a lot better as far as taste since the system was installed.
The installation was fine. I've seen a difference in the water.
I got the Kinetico system that purifies water for the faucet and I also got the whole system for the house. The only thing is I gotta change filters every couple of years and the filters aren't cheap. Other than that, it's a great system and it works for me.
When Kinetico came to my house and pitched their system to me, it was great. The reps tested my water but what they forgot to mention was the continuous water filters that I have to buy. So, it's not just the high price of the system, it's the constant changing of the filters. If your whole house is salt water, you can't drink that. So then, they need to put a filtration system with reverse osmosis, which I don't really like, and that needs a filter as well. So, you need two filters, and then you need a mineral thing for your drinking water, and then you need to pay for the technician to come and change them out. And at the end of the day, the cost is $400.
I wouldn't mind buying filters if they weren't $400 a pop. That's a big expense, especially nowadays with people unemployed, with COVID hitting and all that. I've even gone as far as trying to find the filters myself online because what the tech does is just opens the thing and pops the new filter in like it's no big deal. But they charge hundreds of dollars for him to come out.
For this year, I'm actually due for the filter to be changed but I haven't called them out to come. It's discouraging because I'm still paying every month for the filtration system because it was something that's financed and I'm not even able to pay for the filters. If the filters are backed up and dirty, it's almost like not having the filtration system. I'm happy with the system itself but I'm not happy with the experience with the salespeople.
The water softener is a pricey investment, but we're happy that we did it. We've had it for 20 years.
We have been satisfied with Kinetico. The quality of the water has been good.
Kinetico ROCKS! Julia at Kinetico gave me a deal that was over $2000 less than I expected to pay! My old well system had a total failure two days before guests were supposed to arrive at my rental. They replaced it on a SUNDAY in less than four hours and had the water running. A few weeks later storms caused a well problem on a Sunday, of course. The problem was unrelated to their system and something that they normally don't fix. They came through anyways and were able to fix it hours before my guests arrived. The bottom line is they made sure I was able to accommodate my guests to keep over $5000 in revenue and maintain good reviews. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great system and even better service. Thank you Kinetico for helping to take care of me and my guests.
Chris,
Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us. We love to hear that our customers are happy and our dealers go above and beyond to provide great service. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help in the future.
Thanks again,The Kinetico Team
We have had the Kinetico K5 under cabinet system for over 8 years now. I absolutely hate it. It cost far more than comparable systems in the first place (I didn't choose it) and every 6-8 months when it is time to replace the filter cartridges, we get gouged again. If you are considering Kinetico, keep the following in mind:
-You can ONLY get Kinetico replacement filters from your Kinetico dealer. They aren't available online except for a few sales here and there on eBay or Amazon.
-Nothing in the system as they install it is compatible with standard plumbing. We had a kitchen flood and the contractor had to take the system out when they gutted and rebuilt the system. Experienced contractors and plumbers were not able to reinstall the K5 because NO standard plumbing fittings work. We had to call Kinetico for them to come out and reinstall with their special (very flimsy plastic) fittings (of course for several hundred $$).
Does it work and filter water? Sure. But be prepared to pay, and pay, and pay.
Kinetico has been great. But our first install guy was having a bad day, apparently. We didn't use it for almost a year and we kept having issues. Finally, they sent another technician out. They were able to go back ‘cause they wondered if we had messed with it. When I said, “we haven't touched it yet,” he was like, “Let me look at the install.” I had to take pictures of it when they installed it and he said, “Nope. He hooked it up backwards and hooked it up wrong when he installed it.” So, they were very great and said, “That's our bad. We'll give you a free set of filters and get it fixed right for you.” The under the sink one has been working fine since day one, but the whole home one that was in the closet was backward for the first year.
Out here where we're at in Central Texas and on well water, it's really rough, as far as hard water and all the deposits in it. So, it helps out quite a bit. It's going through a little more salt than I would assume most just because of where we are, but it's done great. We haven't had any issues with it since they came back and fixed it. I'd absolutely recommend Kinetico and especially, the local company we deal with out of Round Rock. I don't know how often we changed the filters on the under-sink one. I'm in there usually once every couple of months and they've been great. All of the installers, even the guy who hooked it up wrong when he first came out was super good to deal with. The system is also not overly expensive. It doesn't take a ton of maintenance. Overall, just a good experience.
I called techs out to see if I could have a water softener. Culligan couldn't do it but Kinetico said they figured out a way. Because they couldn't connect the system from outside, they connected it to the water heater. But then I ended up having a leak from the installation and the floors got wet. I had to replace the flooring. But other than that, that was good. For the water drinking system, I have to replace the filters in that once a year. I would probably choose Kinetico over Culligan because I like that it's small and compact, whereas the Culligan machine is tall. And then, this one, I only have to put the salt in it once every two to three months.
Kinetico has been a blessing to me. They've been very good. I've been very proud of the product. They came in, set it up before I even moved in, and it was done. They were efficient.
We bought a house that had a Kinetico in it. Then we moved and I bought another one. They're 100% effective. The system takes care of the problems. It's been a great experience.
The installers were very responsible about the time to coordinate everything. We had a little problem though. Our water softener stopped working properly all of a sudden, and we were very concerned because it was only three years old. The other one that we had lasted more than more than 12 years. Kinetico came and repaired our water softener two times, and whatever they did, it was not doing the job. They kept on telling us, "It's gonna take two weeks before you can get soft water." I was like, "It doesn't take two weeks when you replace a new one. How come you're going to fix something that it's gonna take two weeks?" "I don't know, but this is the way. Unless you empty your water heater completely, then you can have soft water."
Two weeks after, it was still not working properly. We were concerned because we had to pay $160-something for the guy to come. Before the two weeks, we had to call them back and then, after that, we had to call them back again. We were like, "Are they trying to charge us again another $160-something?" The third time, the guy that came did the job and explained that whatever they did was not right, but that he was going to fix it. He did.
Kinetico came out, tested our water, told us what type of unit we needed and had it put in right away. It's been working fine. Everything is a lot softer and the toilet stays cleaner. We've had a good experience.
We replaced the system we had with a Kinetico. The techs' installation was great. We're happy. It doesn't use half the salt the other one used. I'm having my daughter get one.
When the tech got here and put everything together, he showed us how the system worked. Since getting Kinetico, there has been a big difference in the water for the house. Our skin is softer. Kinetico is a bit more expensive that most providers but as far as the quality and how it works, I'm very happy with it. And anytime I need something, I just call them right away. They're well worth it.
Made appointment for them to come out to talk about new system. They called a day later to verify the time and day they would be here. No show. Still waiting 3 hours later, not even a phone call or anything.
We had a Whirlpool water softener and it wasn't very good. We went with Kinetico and immediately realized that for two or three years the water softener we have wasn't even working. My Kinetico works well.
Our water softener pooped out. The tech did great. One of the advantages of my Kinetico is that there is less equipment. It fits in the space better. The part that's inside the house is much smaller and easier to put salt pellets into.
We really liked the Kinetico on how it does its refresh. It doesn't use electricity, the bin for the salt is huge, so we're not having to check it every week. The rep was very pleasant. We asked a lot of questions but he took time. Any kind of challenging questions we gave him, he answered. It was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend Kinetico. I really enjoy the unit. It's very quiet and we don't hear it inside the house.
I've had Kinetico now for a long time and they upgraded me. They put a whole new system in with a charcoal filter. The installer was lousy. He wouldn’t do what I told him to do. When he originally put the water softener in, they had to run a pipe across the floor. So, I built a platform and I wanted the pipes to run underneath that platform and they ran above it instead. So, as I walk going to the utility room, I step on the pipes. Also, I don't like that small saltbox they gave me. I put salt in it too often. I'd like a bigger salt brine tank and a good plumber. Other than that, the water tastes better.
We had heavy chlorine in our water, and we didn't want to drink chlorine. We got the water softener and the water filter for alkaline from Kinetico. They had the best reviews from what we looked at. The people we worked with were all pretty friendly and knowledgeable. Since having our Kinetico, our clothes don't stink when we wash it because of like the heavy chlorine. The water tastes better, too. We've always liked alkaline water anyway.
I’m very disappointed with Kinetico. We've had the guys come out a couple of times and they did the checking the water and all the chemicals and minerals. It looks good or non-existent, but it has a funky taste. So they came out and they super chlorinated the system. It got better, but still, we don't drink the water. The installer guy said, “We put a reverse osmosis system in.” He offered a good price, but then it takes up so much under counter space.
If we run the system, then this black funky mold starts coming in the washing machine and both of the toilets. The president of the company and I have each other’s phone numbers. We've talked so much. He said, "Go ahead and cut the system off, let the city water go through and chlorine and all that will kill that funky black stuff.” And which it does. But we had the system on for about two days. The towels have got to be washed. They stink. So we've got the system cut off right now.
Kinetico works great. I haven't had a problem in the five years that I've had it. The filter system takes out chemicals in the water. Now, the dishwasher's clean.
Everything's doing good with our Kinetico. It's been working. We had good customer service except for one time. But they got rid of him because he never came back.
I had a conversation over the phone about the various systems and the one that met our needs the most and then, they gave us an assortment of matching fixtures that we could choose from. It was pretty flawless. They came in and installed our whole system, part of it in the garage. We also got the softener with that. They walked us through after everything was installed. We've had two issues with itself and the first one wasn't even an issue. I've realized that the salt level after about a year, had not moved down.
I called them. They came out and tested our whole system, showed me the test results, said "It's working, it's just very efficient." They made sure everything looks good and double-checked everything free of charge and that was a great interaction. The second one was when at the end of the year, our filtered water stopped working. I've forgotten that we would have to replace those filters. They came. We had to pay for the filters and then, they installed them, tested everything, showed us the test results and everything was good. I haven't had an issue since. I'm happy with Kinetico's quick response.

Kinetico Customer Support
I've been using Kinetico for years and I went with what I knew. I got a filter and a water softener. The installation wasn't the best in the world. The two guys that came out to do the installation are no longer with the company. They weren't very customer service-oriented. With the system in place, we have softer water.
I love Kinetico and the system's been great. I have trouble finding the liquid that I got to constantly put into it once a month but that's the only issue I have. I also haven't had to call them and that's always a good sign when you don't have to call people a lot. The last system I was on was City, but then I used a water softener with it and it had to keep up with it. And if the power went out, it didn't work. I live in a hurricane area, so we have power outages all the time during storms. So, if I lose power, I don't get my water softener for two weeks at best. But with the Kinetico system, it's powerless so everything works as it is. All in all, it is leaps and bounds over my old system.
We did a tour of homes one year and they had the ION water system, which is the Kinetico water system, in there. We really liked it. The gentleman that we worked with was very good. He explained everything to us, how it worked and how the set-up would be. The gentleman that was doing the installation was relatively new doing it. He had to make a couple of phone calls when he was doing it to see if this and that was right. But he did a good job and everything looks great. We have the whole house system plus the drinking water system and it's wonderful. It's very user-friendly and I love it. We have oil-rubbed bronze faucets throughout our house and we have no water spots on them. I recommend Kinetico to anybody who asked.
We had our Kinetico system installed right when we built the house. People have issues with hard water here but with Kinetico, we're not experiencing the stains and other things you would get with hard water. It's a good system. It doesn't use whole lot of salt and it's pretty much install it and forget about it.
I looked up some of the systems you could just buy through Home Depot or Lowe's, but I liked the idea of having someone local and buying from a small business that if I had additional questions, I could get a more personal experience. And overall, from some of the research I did, Kinetico seemed like the better system to go with. It was more expensive than some of the others, but it seemed long-term and worth it. Their reps were very informative and they laid out several different options of systems we could go through. They really explained clearly what the routine maintenance and long-term additional costs might be in terms of filters and salt. Then, when the techs came and installed the system, they were very thorough and cleaned up after themselves.
Since then, you can immediately taste the difference in the water and there's no aftertaste. We have to refill the salt in our system and there had been a couple times where I hadn't realized that it had gotten all the way down, the salt was gone, and I could immediately taste the difference. We've also gotten a new dishwasher and there are less hard water stains on the dishes. And with having soft water, I've noticed I don't have to use as much laundry detergent in my washing machine anymore. I also feel the soft water difference when I take a shower. All in all, I've recommended Kinetico to several people and I would continue to do so.
Hi Audra,
We appreciate your detailed explanation of why you chose Kinetico. It details what we strive to be. A customer's on-going, neighborhood source for water treatment.
Kinetico Customer Support
I was going to get my own system and get a plumber to install it. But I really wanted someone that knew what they were doing. I found Kinetico on Google and I'm happy because my parents also used them now to work on their system. So far, the quality seems great and I love the under-the-sink system. The power's good on it. One time, our softener was leaking in the house and the problem was the valve. We called in to Kinetico then a tech came out and replaced it. It looks better, so I'm thinking it won't leak anymore. Other than that, since the system was installed, the water has been a lot softer and easier on our skin. My husband has really bad eczema and it hasn't solved the problem for him, but it's helped some. It also has given us good drinking water because before, we were buying five-gallon jugs and it was a hassle.
I had a system with Kinetico in California so I was aware of them. I called them, they came right out and did everything in one day. I got a water softener and the reverse osmosis under the sink. Everything has worked perfectly. Kinetico has the best system.
The guy from Kinetico did a really nice little presentation and everything was great for us. Before, the water in our house was ruining most of our light-colored clothes and it smelled bad. But since we got Kinetico, the water is not ruining my clothes and it doesn't stink anymore.
The rep who came out and talked to us was a nice young guy and he seemed to know what he was talking about. The installers gave us a date on when they were going to come out and they did it. Since the system was installed, the water is not as hard. There are some stains in the toilet bowl, but not near as bad as they were. We live in the country and have well water and the water softener has helped. We like that haven't had any issues and Kinetico helped our problem. It's fairly affordable, so people should do it.
Hi Christopher,
Thanks for the review. Sometimes, it takes time for the plumbing lines to clean out of build up. Be certain to check back with your installer after a month or two of installation. Our goal is completely soft, iron free water.
Kinetico Customer Support
I had the Kinetico system installed in the house right at the beginning. The water was hard up there and it was a brand-new house so I put it in so that I wouldn't crud up the pipes. The techs took care of everything they needed to take care of. Using the system was a good decision. It’s not inexpensive but in the long run, it saves you if you plan to be in a house for a long time, which I didn't end up being. Still, it was worth it.
Dealing with the reps was very good and everything the installers did was excellent. Since I've had the Kinetico system, we haven't been getting the hard water build-up that we had.
Dealing with the techs from Kinetico was pleasant. I had hard water and my appliances were getting clogged up with lime. I had the system installed and in the beginning, it was a lot better. But now, I need salt and I don't know where to get it from.
We've got real hard water and it was ruining appliances. So, we went ahead and invested in a water softener. Then, we also had a problem where our water would turn orange after a very heavy rain, so we got the iron filter to get rid of that too. We went with Kinetico for the convenience because they are right down the road and are four miles away. Plus, you really don't have any plug-ins to the system and it didn't have to have separate power. It's a pressure system, so we like that.
I had a bit of an issue with how the iron filter was supposed to be plugged in. The way the installer rigged it wasn't the best way and it kept tripping breakers. After multiple phone calls, I finally got him out there to fix it because it wouldn't work. But now, it's fine and it wasn't that big of a deal. It was just that I had to stay on top of the installer to come back and get it working right for me. All in all, the people that own this place are great and they're local. We're in a big town of 1,200 folks so, we got to support local businesses.
Hi Clay,
Thanks for sharing your experience and thanks for your patience with your dealer as he worked through the electrical issues!
Kinetico Customer Support
Kinetico's reps showed me how the water was clearer using their system and my experience with them has always been good. Since I got the unit, the water feels softer and doesn't leave residue around the water faucet.
Hi Tracy,
Thanks for the review. Here's wishing you many years of great water.
Kinetico Customer Support
I was having sediment build-up and hard water issues. I got the water softening system from Kinetico and since then, I noticed a difference in the water. But about a month ago, it started getting hard water. The tech came out on Friday and fixed it for me. It turned out that there was a build-up of scum inside where the disk is on top and the disk wasn't the proper disk. So he had to put a different disk in to give me softer water and he was very good. He'd been out before and he's very experienced. He knows exactly what he's doing and he was there for about 25 minutes. Other than that, the unit never softened our water like we thought it should if compared to places I've been where the water is soft. And my wife was having issues with all of our towels being hard. But since they've put this new disk in, it's been better.
Kinetico is hands free and doesn’t need electricity. I've had them for over 20 years but I'm not as happy with the new system as I was with the old system. The new one uses too much salt and it’s regenerating every three or four days. The other system had larger tanks and it didn't eat up as much salt as this system does. I also got a lot of sulfur water. The Sulfur Guard I got is about 15 years old now and I'm not sure it's working right because it leaves a black residue in my PVC pipes going to the house. But as far as the people down in Florida that do the system, they've been great.
I'm in a new subdivision, so Kinetico's reps hooked up another house and I've had to have them back out shortly. The fault was some mud got in the waterline had held the head unit open. We had salty water on it, but they cleaned it and we haven't had any issues since then. A referral is the best feedback I can give and I liked Kinetico enough that I pushed four people to it now. One of the things I was trying to tell somebody the other day is how rarely I have to add salt to the machine. The guy told me he uses nine gallons of water per backflush, so my machine uses very little water and salt.
We had the worst water in the county. It was hard and there were lots of chlorine. It's over-treated because of manufacturing in the facility. My wife told me to get Kinetico. We have three of them installed and the last one was installed in the last house five years ago. Now, our appliances do not build up calcium on them.
My mom got the Kinetico system at her house and she had been really pleased and really pleased with the service. We got the system the year before COVID and it was in the winter. We had to reschedule a couple of times because it was crazy dumping rain around here, but they were great. They were easy, very professional, and did a great job installing the faucet on our counters. They've also been here once or twice to recharge the system. They call me, "We're going to be in your area. We're going to come by."
We live rural in South Georgia and the water has an enormous amount of sediment and lime in it. Our house is only four years old, but all of our faucets, dishwasher and other things were getting chugged up with the lime deposits. Now that we got a Kinetico system, I don't taste the difference, but after I boil the water, I don't have all the gunk in my coffee pot and in my tea pot.
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for sharing. Glad to hear you are being well cared for.
Kinetico Customer Support
Our Kinetico system is doing good. Our water's softer. I didn’t realize I first called the last guy who came out here to get the salt put in the thing. I was down to about three units left in the tank. He came out and filled it up. He was friendly and very courteous too. I'm happy with the system. My wife passed away Christmas Eve but she was happy with it till the end.
Kinetico has been perfect for us. It cleans the water and we no longer have stains in all of our appliances. The water is certainly a lot better. Beforehand, our water was red and it's no longer red. The only issue we had, and I reached out to the guy that installed it, was they changed up their suggested settings. We were getting a little bit of red water. It's like the filter wasn't lasting throughout the day. But once we updated those settings, it worked perfectly fine and hadn’t had any issue since.
It was a good experience with Kinetico. There was a noticeably cleaner water. There were no dirt particles or anything.
I stopped by Kinetico's outfit one day and spoke with them. I was pleased with the information and demonstration that they gave me that day. The rep asked if he could come to our home. He came and was very impressive. On the spot, we decided that we would go with the system. I live out in the country and I have a lot of lime. I was getting a lot of sediments in my commodes and sinks. No longer do I have that problem. In our shower there's the build up on the faucets, the showerhead and the door. There's some kind of hard plastic. Before, I scrub it every week. Now it's been taken care of. You take a rag, wipe it down and that's it. We use so much less dishwashing liquid now. We had such a buildup in our washing machine that I had to keep filters on them. Probably every two months, I would have to pull those off and clean them out. After we put Kinetico in, we no longer had that problem. It’s a real job off of me.
We love Kinetico and recommend it to anyone and everyone. The people that come are terrific. Shortly after I had that system put in, we had a storm come through. It blew my tank, my cover and my building. In the process of blowing it off, it busted several pipes. They came in and even the pipes that had nothing to do with their system, they replaced them for me at no charge.
Hi Glenn,
Wow! we are glad to hear the great results you are having with your water. Good water makes life easier!
Kinetico Customer Support
I'd had Culligan and it was better in some respects than Kinetico. The water was slimier and I like the slimier feel. But my husband hates it. He thinks that Kinetico is so much better. You don't have that slimy, soft water-ish feel. Kinetico is a lot easier than Culligan especially ‘cause it's easier with regards to installation. You don't have to worry about the electricity portion. It's also easier for maintenance and placement. However, we had calcium deposits and I don't think the system has resolved the issue completely. It's made it better but now we have a kind of a residual, yellowish kind of film.
This is the first time that we've seen somebody come out in a very long time so it was a very pleasant experience. The rep was approachable. I had salt that I had stockpiled because it's been a while since Kinetico had been out. He was very gracious to put in the old salt first then restocked my little pile that I've got going. He came around where we were when he got through and handed me my little invoice. It was very quick but very efficient. He said he would set us up every three months now.
I just put in a little above ground pool. When I took the water sample down for the pool company to work out my chemicals, they said they had never ever tested water that had zero calcium. They were amazed. They tested it four times. That means my water softener is doing what it's supposed to do. It’s awesome. I'm not cleaning my glass doors with a razor blade once a week now. All those little water spots on that glass door are calcium deposit. With the calcium being down, it's wonderful.
I love Kinetico. It’s a good product and well worth the money. The appliances, the shower and the fixtures are much easier to maintain. The water tastes fine. You can tell the difference in the taste. The maintenance of the system is so easy too. We've had to do nothing. We’re on a rotation with them to deliver the salt.
I am happy with the Kinetico system and the people who did it. They seemed to be fair and did what they said they were gonna do. I called for service and they told me what they could do to get the problem fixed. We had to get a pump replaced and it kept on pumping up sediment. They put the thing on there and everything worked fine. I have the clear color and no sediment in my water.
With Kinetico, there is less residue with my dishes and my skin is a lot softer. If others want a water softener, I would highly recommend Kinetico.
Hi Debbie,
We are glad you are enjoying your Kinetico water!
Kinetico Customer Support
I got it going into some restaurants that had these water treatments and the reverse osmosis. I’m a big tea drinker and I could tell a difference in the way their tea looked and tasted versus other people that did not have one. Since having Kinetico installed, I noticed I don't have the soap scum build up anymore. It seems like the laundry detergent goes a little bit farther. The water is a little bit softer. The coffee and tea and things that we cook with the water is a lot better. I've been very satisfied. In fact, I told one of my friends about it. He had a water treatment system several years ago and when we had the hurricane come up here, it messed it up. I talked to him about mine and he hired the same guy to come put him in one.
Look, I think I made the right decision by picking the Kinetico Premier Series but however, I think I am overpaid since the salesman can just make up his own price. I've Googled for the price but nothing showed up on the internet.
Hello Chinese Buffet,
Pricing is determined by the area Kinetico supplier. They set their pricing based on their cost of conducting business in that market. Think of real estate. A 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in California is going to be priced differently than the same home in Missouri.
Each dealer has established pricing. The salesman does not make it up on the spot. We are certain the management team of your area dealer would be appreciate the opportunity to regain your confidence and respond to your concerns regarding their pricing.
Kinetico Customer Support
We've had a Kinetico system at our house in South Georgia and this is the second Kinetico system we have. It's taken care of our needs and it’s keeping soft water. My wife is totally satisfied with it.
I moved into a house and it had yellow water. I had one guy give me a quote and tell me what he thought was wrong with the water. Then I called to get a second opinion and the Kinetico people came and they tested more. They convinced me that they knew more of what they were talking about. I bought products and they came and put the system in. But it didn't do the trick. I had $3,500 into this and I still got yellow water. It took a while to get it right and there were times when I was really frustrated. Kinetico is just gonna assume everything's great, so you have to be your own advocate and you have to tell them if it's not right. We called a few times and the reps were really kind.
The product that I ended up with was probably much more of an expensive endeavor than what I originally paid. But the guy who came out said that I was recommended the wrong shenanigans from the get-go. He put something else on there and he said that this was the way that it should have been done, to begin with. Since then, the water has been clear and it is really soft. Then we had a new well pump put in, later on, so we had to cut it off. Then we had to unhook it and then hook it back up. We had a little bit of discoloration for a little bit with the new pump but that all cleared out.
My son had Kinetico and he wanted us to have it. We love it. It makes me have a good feeling that I've got a filtration system. I do feel safer using it and it makes our coffee taste better. It's also easy to use and you only have to get it serviced every once in a while. The Jacksonville people and the Thomasville people were all great and the whole system is perfect. Our neighbor in Jacksonville bought one because we had one.
So far, everything's been good with the system that I've had for a few years. We lose a lot of power in my area and in the past, I had a water softener that relied on electricity. The fact that I don't need electricity to have my water softened is the main reason I would suggest Kinetico.
Hi Ralph,
Yes, that certainly is a benefit to Kinetico. No timers to reset!
Thanks!Kinetico Customer Support
Our water was bad when we moved in. We ended up getting the Kinetico so we can put in the separate drinking faucet and that’s what we use every day now. It's easy to install with the directions it came with. Our water is definitely softer now. It’s definitely not like the sulfury taste our water had for a while. So that’s a plus.
Our Kinetico is only hooked up during the summer for our outdoor water system or irrigation system. It's well water and our well was breaking down. We were getting magnesium coming up through the system and it was staining the house black. So we needed to filter it and the system seems to be doing it. However, there's a lot of filter changes that need to be done, which if we knew at the time, I'm not sure we would have done it. We might have just closed down the whole well. The filters are expensive and need to be cleaned. When the system is running during the summer, it needs to be changed. If we run it five days a week, it needs to be changed at least twice. But it's a good product. We used to have a Kinetico in our regular house system for a lot of years.
Hi Jane,
Yes, unfortunately, some water supplies are higher maintenance than others. Thanks for choosing Kinetico to help with your water treatment needs.
Kinetico Customer Support
Often we still get the hard water upstairs. The person who installed it came multiple times and tested it, but then again, it still comes up with hard water. I could tell from my plumbing systems all getting white. I paid a lot of money but the system doesn't look like it is working as expected.
I was looking to replace some filters from Kinetico. Kinetico said they didn't have them and they couldn't help me at all. I had to order them from another source. I hired a private water company to install them. I received no help from Kinetico at all. I’ll never use Kinetico again.
Hi Christine,

They're responsive and good. We've always been able to get ahold of them when we need something, and they take care of it. My only hesitation is that I spend more on water than other people do. But my machine is doing a better job. We have a terrible iron problem in West Milford and it made a huge difference.
My house had a previously installed system by Kinetico. When I had the system replaced, I had them do it. The one I got is adequate for our water filtration needs.
The Kinetico system is great, but it needs to be serviced and I've been trying to call now for about a year. I've been trying to get in touch with the people that installed it and nobody will call me back.
Kinetico delivered and everything worked the way it was supposed to. We don't get hard water stains anymore and our water is not as harsh on the skin. I recommend this system.
The reps were very polite and they didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. They installed my system perfectly. Everything was very neat and clean. My water doesn't smell like rotten eggs anymore and maintenance of my system is a breeze. I'm actually looking into it for my other house in Florida. That's how good it is. I recommend this to everybody.
I was impressed with Kinetico. My neighbor did recommend me to them and I had a very good experience myself. However, it's very hard to find the filters. I can't even find out which filters online. I gotta go to my Kinetico dealer but what happens if they close up the shop? There's a filter that goes over towards the sink itself and I gotta get that replaced. I haven't tried to open it up and see if I could see the filter in there and see if I can go down there, get it from them and take it home, or whether I should call them and have it checked out.
Kinetico never followed through with coming back to check on the system. They were supposed to come back and deliver salt but I never saw them after they left. So, I just got my own salt and did things myself. Other than that, the system has been working very well and I'm happy with it. The tank was a little bit smaller than the system I had, so it did save room.
My experience with my Kinetico water softening system has been great. The water is softer and I've definitely noticed that from my showers.
Now that the Kinetico system is installed, the water’s great. The product is awesome. As far as maintenance, it's easy to swap out the filter.
Our Kinetico system could be better. I had to replace the single filter that's on there two months after it was first installed. I've had to replace it once a month since then. Then, I had to go and call a company from Ohio in order to send me the filters that fit that water softening system. There’s nobody around my area who even makes the paper filter on. The salting system stopped working about six months after I bought it. So, I had to clean it completely out. Come to find out, the entire hose was completely clogged. I had to buy a different salting system for the salt portion that holds the water softening salts. When I reached out to the gentleman who installed it, they never called me back.
Initially, I called three different places in the area that I was living and all three of the places that I called were either all booked up or they didn't suggest a water softening system for me that was affordable. When I called up Kinetico, the rep sounded like he was pretty good. He had a decent reputation. He showed up with his son who was also his employee. I wasn't able to stand around his son at any point in time because hygiene was not a big thing for him. Somebody installing a water system perhaps should have decent hygiene. I stayed away while they installed the whole system. In hindsight, I wish they had just dropped everything off to me, and I would have installed it myself and it would have been fine.
We bought this house, and there was lead in the water. We do have a water softener from Kinetico, and we have a RO system. We had a service company put it in, and they were amazing. We now have no lead in our water.
I like the less salt usage with Kinetico. The water is softer now that I have the system installed. It's low maintenance as well, and it's pretty efficient on salt.
I was looking for water softeners a few years ago and got put together with Roger. Roger and his son came in to put the Kinetico system in and it went smoothly. Then ongoing, I'd get the free filters from Roger. That's all I do, so the system pretty much operates on its own. Now, I notice that the water is softer. I certainly still have some minerals that I deal with, but that's just from the salt in it. Other than that, it's good drinking water and good bathing and washing water.
The Kinetico system is great. But you can always tell when the water is not right. The first time we had an issue with our Kinetico system, the customer service guy from the business where we got the system came out but he didn't have a clue. He said that the clock might be off as far as for the system to run and that it might be the time to change the battery. My husband was mad because it didn't make sense that the rep didn't have a battery with him if the system needed a battery and he was coming out for it. Also, we constantly take our water to get tested. We had an issue again recently and they were supposed to come out and do something to it. But they haven't come out yet.
We live in New Jersey, right on the Hudson River. The water calcifies and leaves stuff and residue. But with the Kinetico in there, it doesn't cause any of that to happen and there's no noticeable taste in the water. We had a maintenance issue where the person who installed it did not let me know that I should be changing the filter on an annual basis. It's a pre-filter, which is also Kinetico before the softener. That caused an issue in terms of it being clogged and affecting water pressure but we got that rectified. Now we're on a schedule.
I bought Water Softener S250 through Costco after seeing very high reviews for Kinetico. This product rarely worked. I believe first month it worked great after that it never worked. Believe their automated water regeneration never worked for me. I did complain few times and technician came few times to tell me your water softener is working great but what he did was simply do manual regeneration so worked good for few days and back to zero. Tried calling few more times and then was told that I had to pay for technician to be on site.
The system finally stopped working and for almost 2 years I didn't have soft water. How do I know it didn't work? Well the salt in my salt tank never went down for 2 years. Then past Christmas I took it to myself to get it to work. Ran lots of manual regeneration cycles and almost completed by Salt tank which was filled up completely in 2 months. After those 2 months I can feel soft water in my shower (usually I find out based on how soap, skin interact in shower). Long story short automated water regeneration never worked for me, believe the system sold to me was lower capacity and well anything you want to do is a costly effort with system. Thinking of replacing the system.
The water is good with our Kinetico water system. I don't have iron in it anymore. I just put salt in the system and there's no problem at all.
I got 36 years out of my original Kinetico system. I bought it from Aqua Soft and they treated me good. They told me they could rebuild it for the price of a new one. But rebuild is rebuild and new is new, so I just went and got a new one. I firmly believe in that system.
Our water tastes good with the Kinetico water systems. But I have noticed that when I drink it, especially if it's at night, it makes me more thirsty. I don't know if there's salt in it or we have to get it rebalanced through the reverse osmosis. Also, the filters for the RO system seem difficult to get. They should make those filters more readily available for replacements.
We needed a replacement for our softener after the storm. We called Kinetico and they came out to give us a quote and the installation was schedule for 02/22/21. On that day, nobody showed up. I called later that day and I spoke to Chad. He said they didn’t have the part and he wasn’t apologetic about it. They said I should call back in two weeks to see if the parts have arrived. I recommended this company to a friend and it got installed in 2 days. I called back in 2 weeks and I was scheduled for 03/13/21. On that day, I got a call that this would be a new installation not a repair and they rescheduled again for the 03/16/21. On the 16th, the tech Jeffery showed up and he said he could not repair the water softer and above all did not have the part. So why did he come???? Now he is saying I got a wrong quote from Chad. I’ve been trying to reach Chad but he has not been picking my calls. Can someone please contact me to fix my water softener.

I have a CC208S missing inlet/outlet adapters, called and emailed to get replacement parts 5335D or the complete kit 1483A. A couple weeks after my initial call I finally got in contact with a installer Mike ** at Kinetico az who told me that the part is old and they are not made anymore, and that they will not have any and to try my luck on eBay. There is no place on the web where I can order them. This water softener was a waste of time and money and completely useless without the adapters.
Hello Ian,
Thanks for reaching out. We'll touch base with your area dealer to see about getting assistance to you.
The in/out adapters are used to install the softener. Has it not been installed since 2018? These adapters are not a part of the softener, so the unit was not missing parts. They are not sold as part of the softener because every installation is different and will not use the same adapters. They may be a different size, material, threaded or glue in.
All adapters are still available as none of the many softeners we offer could be installed without. We'll touch base with the area dealer regarding this matter to help get your softener installed. We'll communicate with your further using the email address you provided.
Thanks for giving us this opportunity to regain your confidence. Kinetico Customer Support can be reached directly at 800.944.9283 or customersupport@kinetico.com

We had a friend who had Kinetico and said that it was a good system. We noticed the soft water and the purity of the water.
We had iron in the water. We got a water softener from Kinetico. It may use less salt but I'm on well water, and it don't use electric like the other one did. It goes with the number of gallons we use.
K5 drinking station & softeners659 OD XP & Kitvert.BP + filter 14021A. Installed 12/28/2020 these three item corresponding to above serial numbers were expertly installed and explained by salesman quite clearly. Very satisfied with product and the presentation Also help from their vacuum department. I would recommend this water system to a friend.
Thank you, Christian!
One of our plumbers suggested getting in touch with Kinetico. We weren't happy with the water quality. We wanted to improve it. The plumber said this would be the best thing to do. We took his advice, and we've been happy with it. We put a second one in. We have another house on the property here. We put that in as well, so my sister-in-law can enjoy that. On the second installation, they were supposed to come back and check it out again after a month. I don't think that happened. I've changed the filter myself. It's not a difficult thing to do. I've also done the backwashing of the system. The system's in pretty good shape.
Kinetico was a referral from a friend of ours. We had visited their home and the taste of their tap water was so much better than ours. So, we started talking to them about their system. They showed it to us. After the rep came out, we realized that that's the right one for our family. We've been really happy with it. We noticed the difference bathing within the the next day, even, after the tank had filled. When we requested our salt to be delivered, at first, we did have an issue when we were told that the salesperson gave us incorrect information that we were out of the delivery area. But they've been great about accommodating us and not making us come and get it, going above and beyond to make sure we get what we need.
Hi Jodi,
Thanks for sharing this good news. We wish you many years of great water!

We were noticing stains in our appliances. We stopped in at Kinetico's showroom in Parkersburg. We'd already had a water sample done so we knew what the concentration of iron and manganese was in our water. They admitted that their test didn't even go down that low. We purchased the water softener. The installation was good. They put things in that we hadn't paid for. I already had a whole house filter that was 5 microns, and the installer was wanting to take it out and put in a 20-micron filter. I said, “Well, why would you do that?”
Anyway, they put their filter housing in at no cost to us. And instead of buying filters off of them, I go to Lowe's, and I get the 5-micron filters and stick them in there. He said, “Well, you'll probably have to change them more often, okay? But it's keeping more stuff out of your resin tank.” Since having the system from Kinetico, it's harder to get soap off in the shower. You use less soap. We don't see the stains and stuff in toilets pilots and things like that that we did before. As far as the taste of the water, I notice it more when we go to the neighbors and drink their water. I realize how good we have it at home.
We got the Kinetico Premier Series. We were recommended by our plumber. We wanted a new water softener unit in the house. We took advantage of the free water test with Kinetico. It was important to us. We would not have signed the contract if we didn't know about the water test. Now, the water is softer. When you wash your clothes, they’re not so rough. When we did get the water softener put in and we’re putting the salt in, we had a little bit of problem with salty water at first but that eased off. When we had a problem or a question, Kinetico has been extremely good about getting back with us. We would recommend Kinetico. We've been very happy with it.
My son-in-law told me about Kinetico. Before, we had a lot of rust in the water. Now, the water is absolutely perfect. I'd buy the system for others if I could.
The water has been 100% better since installing the water softener. Kinetico is a good company.
Thanks Norman!
How do we get that last star? ;-)

It was good with the installment team and everything was fine with Kinetico's service.
We needed a water softener and everyone that we'd asked said they went through Starkey. We gave them a call and the customer service was wonderful. We got the Kinetico system and to this day, they deliver our salt to us every two months and they call us the day before to remind us. They make sure we have as many bags as we need. It's nice because it's actually people and they remember to contact us, and they always come out and put this all in for us. So it's been awesome.
My daughter was having really bad eczema and the back of her legs were completely raw. Once we got the water softener, those spots cleared up on her. She hasn't had any problems with it since. We had her on prescription cream and everything before we had the water softener. But now, we don't. We've had a great experience. We've had the system a couple of years and it's been great. One major benefit is that our appliances aren't getting hit as hard with that hard water.
I called Kinetico and they came here and did the job for me. They did a good job. The water softener made the water much better. They've tested it, and it's really good water.
When the came out, we went through the different systems that they offered and we made the decision to go with the water softener that only uses the salt as you use the water. Since having it installed, there's no more hard water spots on our dishes. They look clean. There's no hard water in the tubs and in the showers. So that's really good.
Hi Kathy,
Thanks for pointing out that Kinetico provides the customer options and the ability to make their own choice. Kinetico definitely has something for every one!
But most importantly, we are glad to know you are happy with your water!

I needed a water softener and Kinetico is who the main service company in my area is providing. It's a good machine and I'm happy with it.
I had another national recognized water softener company provide a premier water softener system to my home just over a year ago. The system was supposed to be the top of the line. The system performed poorly and had to be serviced multiple times during the year. I moved over to a premium Kinetico Water System for my residential water softener and what a difference. Soft water immediately, no problems, and best of all I now know my system is working. Thank you Kinetico.
You're welcome, Thomas!
And thank YOU!!

Kinetico came in and did a test on my water. I questioned everything because they brought their bottled water and it was dirt. They said it was dirt in our water. I told them to test one of my water bottles in my storage. They did everything in the house and I was satisfied. They put the system in my house and I'm coming up my year marker shortly. Kinetico is probably one of the best investments I've ever made.
I've known about Starkey Soft Water for years and years and when I moved into my new home, I had to put it in. A lot of people here have Kinetico soft water. The installation only took a couple hours. They did a fine job.
I was looking on the internet for water treatment systems and Kinetico came up. I called and talked to them. I took a water sample in, liked what they said and tried the system. It's been really good. I like it a lot. Kinetico has been really good to deal with. I took another water sample in for another house we’ve got I was gonna put a system on and they were right on top of it. They’re very helpful. They have good equipment and good service.
Hi Doyle,
Thanks for your vote of confidence! We are so happy to be of service to you.

The old system had worn out and was leaking. We had had it for many years and it had done a good job. This one has picked up and did as good a job. The advantage is I don't have to charge this one up every month like I used to the other one. Kinetico comes out once every six months and charge it for me. They've been excellent and right out here. They've taken care of us.
I had a RainSoft and didn’t like it all. It was constantly breaking. When I found Kinetico, it was not electrical. It was just water-driven so that was what impressed me with it. It’s a quality product and there’s not much on them to break down. There are no electronic parts on it so it should last many years without any problem. The whole time I lived here that I’ve had it, I couldn’t have been more happier. As soon as I could afford another one, I want to get one here in the current house that I live in.
We have very soft water now, we never know when it is on and it does not take much salt, They were always on time for appointments, very informative, no long waits and did an excellent job with installation. We appreciated seeing the video about how to change the pre filter.
Everything's been lovely with Kinetico. The water doesn't smell as bad. We went with the drinking water installation also and that made it all perfect.
We've had the Kinetico water softener for about a year and a half. We have really hard water here, and we have arsenic and a whole bunch of other things. Kinetico was the product that the plumber recommended. They've been great. They came out and serviced what needed servicing and helped out whenever I had any questions. The system is easy to operate.
Hi Lynne,
We are glad to see you are enjoying your water again! Great news!

The competitor's stuff is garbage. I've worked on water systems my whole life, on high-pressure pumps. And these things, with timers and everything else, they're ridiculous because they cycle for no reason. This Kinetico is based on gallons, which is a much better system. You lose hundreds of gallons of water with the other systems for nothing. I have a saltwater system, the one with the two separate tanks and then a big drum. I also have a K5 hooked into that too. The water here is contaminated from Dupont, and the town is worried about the C8 content. They filed it at court. They claim they test it out. I said, "Yeah, like I really believe you idiots." So, I put that in it. I got five filters in. I got the ones that take out all the toxins, and I got the pre and post- calcium filter. I got a neighbor that comes out and then grabs our water off. He said, "Daddy hates his water."
The only thing I don't like is the little plastic clear indicator on top of where the shaft comes up in it is vague. You can't tell where the things are. For a little more money, if they can put up an electronic gallon on there, I would like it a lot better. Because there's a certain point that you don't know if you got 100 or 10 gallons left. Make it an option to put a little electronic thing in there that counts gallons. Other than that, I'm very happy with the system. I recommend to people to put Kinetico in. I said, "If you do want a good system, you have to deal with the headaches."
The people we bought our Kinetico system from, Brady's, were very knowledgeable. Also, our water quality is excellent. Everything is good and we're very happy with the system.
We purchased an R.O. machine from Kinetico. Our testing that is required by the EPA is significantly improved.
We had Cartwright Plumbing in Cheyenne and I told their guy that I had a lot of problems over the years with water softeners. They recommended Kinetico and we have been completely satisfied. It keeps our water soft and it's very low-maintenance. We're a food and beverage operation and we have three systems now that handle a ton of volume. But lately, when we pour a glass of water out of the sink, we get this kind of funny-tasting water, almost like there's some cloudiness and maybe some salt in it. It happens once or twice a week. Other than that, we run a lot of water through these units and they have not let us down. We've tried all the major brands and there’s no other comparable system.
Hi Dan,
Thanks for the great review. The periodic cloudy water could be air in the lines or perhaps a shot of salt is backing up through the system during regeneration. Please connect with your installer as a follow up to have it investigated.

We purchased Kinetico through the same people that we originally got our first system from. Kinetico was highly recommended by them when we decided to go that route. The system is very nice and it's very easy to maintain. We just call them and they come and change the filter and bring the salt that we need. You couldn’t ask for better people to maintain the unit. We've lived in this house for 50 some years and we've had a water system for the same years. We've had soft water for a multitude of years.
Kinetico's customer service team has been wonderful.
Everything went smooth when I set up an appointment. It's real bad water up there and since I bought from Kinetico, at least I don't have the odor and the stains and stuff.
We lived in a different house, and in 12 years, we had four water heaters because of minerals in the water. So when we built this house, getting a water system was part of the plan. We had finally put a softener where we were, and we've had one since we've been in this house, and it's been from the same supplier. Kinetico has done a great job. We've had to replace it because it turned out that the builder put too small of a system on the house. I don't know how long they're supposed to last but after about 12 years, we had to replace it. When the guy came out, he said, “Oh, this should have been larger.” We've been really pleased with the new one.
Hi Karen,
Here's to many years of great water! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.

I recently replaced my old Kinetico water softening system with a Kinetico Premier S350 XP water softening system. Kevin checked out the old system, tested the water and determined the old system was no longer adequate. It had been in service since 1999. He replaced it the next day and it works great. The folks at Great Water Company in Ruidoso have always done an excellent job for me and this was no exception.
Thanks for the feedback Charles and thanks for continuing to trust Kinetico with your water treatment needs.

Our Kinetico product little expensive for what it does but it works great. Our water tastes like water without anything in it. The first time I changed the filters, I had to have someone help me. Kinetico helped. The quality of their product is as good as I expected.
Costco contracted with Kinetico for a special deal. The reps were very knowledgeable, and were interested in making sure that the product that they offered was designed to actually meet our needs. And then, the installers went right to it and were there for not an extensive wait. They had to remove a little platform that the older water softener was sitting on, which wasn't easy to do. But they just did it and took care of it. My water has been softened again, where it wasn't before. I have zero mineral buildup on any of my faucets. So, it has been great
I had a filter that I thought we were having an issue where we were losing pressure. But it turned out to be something else. I took the filter to Kinetico and they said, "There's nothing wrong with this filter. And you should have gotten some extra ones. Did they give you extra?" "No." "Oh, here, take these." Because I was going to buy an extra filter and he said, "No. Just here, take them." They gave us the replacement filters, and told me what to do to clean them.
My neighbor has a similar Kinetico system from TLC, who did the installation. I put a lot of stock in his word and I went down to visit them and it seemed like it's a good fit. We had a more of a cheapie water softener from Sears, and I wanted something a little bit better and a little bit more reliable and professional. I didn't need to buy the Kinetico that day but I did buy it that day. Now, the water quality seems to be excellent. I'm going through salt a little quicker than I was before. So I know something's happening. It makes a lot of noise. It seems like it’s on about half the time, but TLC tells me that's normal.
As far as installation, TLC did a good job, except they kind of rushed it. I wanted to put it in a different location. They put it in another and I had to pay another $700 for them to come back out and move it. I thought that was a bit of a rip-off. I didn't really want it where they wanted to put it. I guess I could have said, "Don't put it in." But I did. I thought that they were moving for free. Other than that, I don't have any complaints at all about Kinetico. I'm a happy camper.
I have a K5 reverse osmosis and a softener. We have very hard water. It's evident very quickly. It's all over the faucet, all over the sink and it's pretty hard to manage. I got the system from Kinetico. The company has been very good. Sometimes, I have trouble getting people to come to appointments out here. It's a little bit of a rural area, and they're pretty responsive. If you have a question or an issue, they'll be here. Since having the water softener, we no longer have all of the white hard water stains accumulating all over our sink and faucet, and that's pretty awesome.
When I moved into my house, a Kinetico unit was already installed. We’ve had it for quite some time now and it's really effective. We recently redid our water softener and got the 5 under sink osmosis unit. The experience was pretty straightforward. I called the main office and told them which department I was interested in. I got directed to a supervisor and we sorted out what was convenient.
I’m between 30 and 35 miles outside of the main city so it takes a little
