Bought this fridge and matching stove 3yrs ago. I purchased this brand, as did much research on reviews of Kenmore. With that and feeling Sears had a quality product, I purchased them. Three years later, my fridge went totally out. I had no reason to think a Kenmore would crash in 3 years. Threw out hundreds of dollars in food. And this is where things go horribly wrong.

There is no longer a warranty, it’s only a year. Sears wants $1700 to repair. I don’t have a $$ tree in my yard. So then I bought a Choice Home warranty. The rep on the phone said, "No worries ma’am, this is covered." I told him it was already out. Waited my 30 days, and filed a claim. They send out the same tech as Sears. He’s in the house 3 minutes, tops. Calls me to say they won’t cover it. Pre-existing condition. I’ve now paid for 2 service calls. And no working fridge still.

I turn to Kenmore and reach out for help. I gave them 2 voices, either fix my fridge for free or replace with a comparable fridge to what I have. The man chose to repair it. Five phone calls later, "Yes it’s in your file, diagnostic fee waived, no charges on parts and labor." But, yesterday, the tech calls wanting to know if I still want him there. He has no paperwork that there’s no charge. Mind you, Kenmore set this up and supposedly wrote notes.

I called Kenmore. "Oh yes, it’s right here, no charges." He says, "I’ll send this over for your tech." Hours later, he don’t have this to come fix it. I call back. Now, this guy says he has no access to those notes and wants to transfer me to another department. I still have no working fridge. I’ve contacted 2 local tv stations to look into my story, and hopefully get it fixed. Buyer beware. Buy another brand, not a Kenmore Elite. It was priced just under $3000. Not worth it.

We purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator and it stopped cooling and we called Sears/Kenmore and they sent multiple people on 4 different occasions to check it out and all said that it was the compressor and we still have warranty on it. To add insult to injury one of their affiliates by name Intelfix paid $100 deductible to them and still they have not fixed my appliance nor replace and whenever we call they will give us a run around. I can't believe we have all of our appliances from the scam of a company called Sears/Kenmore.

We bought our Kenmore Refrigerator July 2019 with a 1 year warranty. 6 months after warranty expired the refrigerator starting making a horrible noise, then stopped getting cold. I called my local repairman, he came looked at it and said even if he fixed it, it would break again in 6 months. So I called Sears to have a tech come out, he said it was the fan and would place an order for the part.

I called sears every 2 weeks for 6 months to check status of my fan. Now I get a call from sears telling me they are refunding my money for the PART as they cannot get it. Now WHAT am I to do with this $2500.00 refrigerator that does not work and is only 2 years old.. They are not refunding my $2500.00 so now I have to spend more money to buy a new Refrigerator... Won't be a KENMORE that's for sure! So disappointed with Samsung as they actually make this refrigeration, Sears for leading me on for 6 months and Kenmore for not backing what they sell. What a waste of money!

We bought a Kenmore Elite 7403 to replace a samsung that seemed to be going out on us 3 years ago. Our samsung is still working (in the garage), and the Kenmore Elite has a broken compressor - which will cost over $1000 to replace!!! It has not even been a full 3 years since we bought it at Sears! NEVER BUY THIS BRAND!!!! The repairman said LG has lawsuits against them, and they purchased Kenmore and are using their parts. I WILL NEVER BUY THIS BRAND AGAIN (LG OR KENMORE).

I've been a faithful and happy Kenmore appliance buyer for decades. Based on that experience, I recently bought a Kenmore Elite $1200 refrigerator. It developed freezer issues a month after the warranty expired and when I googled the issue I found that this was a common and known problem for this whole line of refrigerators. I contacted two local appliance-repair people and they both told me too bad, Kenmore used to be the reliable source of appliances, up until two or three years ago when they stopped manufacturing them in the US and started buying from the lowest bidder and just rebranding the resulting junk. I'm disappointed in yet one more company having sold out and let down the faithful customers who kept them in business all these years. I will never again buy a Kenmore appliance, unless it's an older used one in good condition.

I have used Kenmore products for years. And when one no longer work after years of use, I would get another. Even though products change with different features the durability never does. I am a firm believer in Kenmore, not only for refrigerator but also for their washer and dryer.

The Kenmore side by side refrigerator-freezer is the worst product I have ever purchased. After two years, the ice maker had to be replaced. Now at four years, the sensor for the self-defrost mechanism had to be replaced. This self-defrost unit cost $2,600+, and it is not worth the money. I would not recommend it to anyone.

US government allow American consumers to continually get ripped off by manufactures and retailers. LG/Samsung newer model refrigerators have 220v compressors which does not work well with US circuit standards. Repair people state compressors have known defect. It's not a defect. Those 220v compressors are intended to work for a certain duration then burn out. If you replace one then sooner or later you will replace another.

Purchase new Kenmore refrigerator from Sears 2017/2018. Stopped working Sept. 2021. Refrigerator labeled as Kenmore but model number is LG (795.72493.611). Try buying replacement parts using model no. you will never receive correct part unless you dismantle original and locate exact part number. This has been a nightmare. One repairperson refused to try and repair. We found one who educated us that replacing 220v compressor with 150v compressor would fix the problem. Additionally, he indicated 150v compressor will last for years as oppose to replacing with another 220v that would out again in about 2/3 years.

The government/retailers and manufacturers allow consumers to continuously be ripped off. It's called capitalism. Also switching tag from LG to Kenmore should be illegal similar to switching car VIN. There should be huge price paid by manufacturers and retailers with regards to selling products with known issues. LG not found in company list. Why?

I purchased a Kenmore Pro refrigerator in 2017. I was so happy I didn't get an LG with all the issues of them with cooling problems. That is of course until mine stopped cooling a few days ago. Took the back off just to find out it was an LG compressor. Luckily I caught it soon enough to have not have a loss of food but now here I sit with a very expressive 4yr old non-working refrigerator. After looking up information on this compressor I saw that there was a settlement for it and I could get an extended warranty to have it replaced at no cost but of course I can't find the receipt or any proof of purchase. All I have is pictures of the fridge and compressor and LG said without a receipt they won't help me. All I wanted was the faulty compressor replaced and they know it's faulty but all I got for help was "too bad, so sad". Guess I will NEVER purchase a Kenmore or LG ANYTHING ever again.

I purchased this refrigerator in late 2017, On July 11 it failed. I called Sears service and they scheduled an appointment and 2 days before the appointment they put me off another month until August 25. The technician came and replaced the compressor. Part was under warranty but not labor, I then purchased a 1 year appliance warranty for almost $1000.00. Well 2 days later it failed again and now they tell me they can’t get here for almost another 2 months, October 22. I would advise no one to purchase any Kenmore appliance. I am contacting our B. B. B. concerning this matter. They want your money but do not stand behind their products.

I bought a refrigerator 3 years ago from Sears a Kenmore Elite. Now is not working. The compressor and condenser are not good. I have to throw the food away, I'm very stressed. Don't buy. You will regret and also waste your money!!!! It is for your own good, don't throw your money away. Kenmore makes no good refrigerators. When you call them they will not help you instead they will waste your time and money.

Got CL err. Kenmore replaced the fridge, but process took over a month. Four months later same problem, but Kenmore decided to replace compressor. Looking at another month before part arrives. Most miserable experience ever! Thought with LG takeover things would be okay. Avoid Kenmore at all cost.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite ref in November of 2018. Model # 795.75053.712 Serial # 704KR00028. It failed in June of 2021. The Sears repairman said this compressor unit is defective and most of these models fail after a few years. The compressor was covered under warranty but not the labor. We paid $750 in labor to install a new compressor and then a week later something else major failed.

Google Kenmore Elite defective ref. You will find hundred of other similar complaints. The compressor is made by LG. Both Kenmore and LG have refused to take care of this defective product. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will compensate consumers who have been harmed by these greedy corporations who don't care about their customers.

I bought what I thought was a Kenmore Elite as that is how it is labeled (it is actually an LG). I found that out when it needed it repaired. I was told that Kenmore doesn't make their on brand anymore. My compressor is out before 5 years is up and the cost is over the price to replace the refrigerator. I don't recommend this product. I have had problems with my ice maker the whole time I own it.

On purchased a Kenmore top-freezer refrigerator in Jan. of 2021 through sears.com for $955.88. Five months after the purchase the fridge started emitting a burning-like odor. I contacted Sears Home Services more than 10 times over the course of a week to schedule warranty service, but each time I was told that their system was down, and that I should expect a call from them within 2-4 hours. It is now a week later, and I still have not been given an appointment.

Like thousands of others, I have trusted the Kenmore name as being a quality product for many years. My parents bought Kenmore appliances too. So when it was time to buy a new refrigerator I bought a Kenmore Elite with the bottom pull out freezer. I specifically did not want another brand like Samsung or LG because I knew they made faulty products after talking with appliance repair techs and friends who had purchased these products.

We have been happy with our Kenmore fridge for just over three years until today. It stopped cooling and I called a repair tech. It was a BIG surprise to learn our Kenmore was actually an LG product that had a known poor quality compressor. The technician told us he and his company had replaced MANY compressors on the same Kenmore refrigerator I owned. It cost me $840 to replace the compressor because of course it was no longer under warranty. It frustrates me to no end, just three years after purchasing the refrigerator at a cost of $2,500 and now an additional $840. I recommend to everyone do you own research before buying. I wish I had because I would not and will not buy Kenmore again.

I purchased this Kenmore from Costco online. It was delivered on May 24, 2021. After a couple of weeks of use I noticed the freezer was icing over and the seals to the freezer and refrigerator kept coming loose. I contacted Costco concierge service and they sent a Kenmore repairman. The Kenmore repairman noticed the seals coming loose without me saying anything and then he noticed the seam around freezer had been siliconed. The Kenmore repairman advised me to return the refrigerator and get a refund. Sears, Kenmore, or Costco wants to take responsibility for this fraud. I have never had a more frustration experience, don't buy anything from these people.

Just a couple years ago we bought a Kenmore Elite side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and it worked great for about a year and last year we had to spend over $700 to have a part replaced and now we had to spend $95 to have someone come look at it because it quit working again and they said now it is leaking coolant. Had I known we were going to have to put so much money we would’ve just bought another brand and saved our self the hassle of continually having someone at our house to check our refrigerator. The expenses that we’ve paid to have things fixed don’t even include the amount of money that we’ve thrown away due to lost food when it quit working both times.

We have a Kenmore Elite 750 Refrigerator purchased 10/2013 from Sears. It stopped working May 2021. Sears came and diagnosed the problem as the compressor, which is under a 10 year warranty (reads: "repair free of charge"). However, Sears noted the replacement compressor will need a new computer in order to function. We paid the diagnostic fee and asked him to email us a full quote, which he never did. We called Kenmore (transferred to Sears) as the price seemed high ($924) for a problem that is under warranty.

We rescheduled an appointment and the technician did not show. We called Sears who rescheduled us for the following week and assured us that the next technician would be fixing the compressor and computer for no additional charges at all. We then spoke to an additional 5 people at Sears who all gave us different stories; it seems that the next appointment would simply be another diagnostic visit/second opinion which is NOT what we need. It has been very difficult to work with Sears, and we have spent several hours on the phone getting several different stories. Though the warranty states the compressor is covered for repair free of charge for 10 years (no mention of parts or labor, just "repair"), they (Kenmore and Sears) refuse to fix the problem or send us the parts so we can fix it ourself or hire another person.

The Kenmore representative (Drew) was downright rude to me for no clear reason. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, he told me someone would call me. A person did call me, but did not leave a phone number to reach her--she gave me the generic Kenmore line again, which was not helpful. I wrote several emails to Kenmore via various avenues and received no response whatsoever.

All in all, extremely disappointing and upsetting "service" from Kenmore and Sears. To say something (an expensive fridge) is under warranty for repair but then charge $1000 to fix is not acceptable. What's more: the compressor in question underwent a class action lawsuit previously as it kept breaking and Kenmore kept having it replaced with other deficient compressors that they knew would break: obviously unacceptable. It's also unacceptable that no one will take responsibility or help; Sears traded us from department to department endlessly and Kenmore was downright rude. We will never buy from Kenmore or Sears again. User's recommendation: Do NOT Kenmore products. Do NOT buy from Sears.

I purchased an LG manufactured Kenmore Elite refrigerator (795.72483.411) in 2/2018 for around $3k. Condenser went out this week. Cost is >$1000 for repairs. We had already replaced the ice maker for several hundred dollars. Now, 5/2021, I need to purchase a whole new refrigerator. Stay away from Kenmore and LG refrigerators. This seems to be a very common problem.

These refrigerators use LG components which fail in their first 3-4 years if you're lucky. They will fail again several months or a couple years after. You will be up to your ears in repair bills and have to transfer spoiled food to a reliable old refrigerator.

If I can give less than a 1 I would do it. I have a refrigerator from Kenmore and It didn't last for a week and it broke down. I called them and they want me to pay for it to fix it even though it's not my fault. The Kenmore Refrigerators compressors are LG and LG compressors people have court issues on it because they break easily. Don't waste your money on those kinds of refrigerator.

Lasted less than a year! Called last September, ice maker stopped working, freezer had ice and frost all over food, and appointment scheduled in October, parts ordered, never heard back. I called back, was told parts on back order, would be delivered within 21 working days. Called back in November, was told parts from Korea weren’t coming in, my case was “escalated” and I someone would call me in 2-3 days. I called back a week later and was told the same thing, 2-3 days. In December I called and was told I had been approved for replacement but no amount was entered in my file, I would be contacted in 2-3 days with amount, then I could select a replacement on ** and schedule the exchange.

January and February I called back, was told the same thing, and still nobody ever called me back. The last time I was told to call the nearest Sears Hometown store to see if I could go there and pick out a replacement. This store is in Georgia, I live in Florida, about 20 miles away. That manager called Sears for me who said I needed to go to the Orlando store, over 3 hours from me, because Hometown stores were not authorized to handle replacements! Every time I have called since then, Sears transfers me to customer solutions dept who says there is still no amount, but that I was approved on Dec 1, 2020 for replacement. I was told PABA Dept needs to give me an amount. The amount I paid was $1499 plus tax and delivery. When they transfer me to that department, they hang up on me. Meanwhile my refrigerator is getting worse, food is spoiling in refrigerator, melting in freezer, Sears doesn’t care!!!

I have a Kenmore side by side that is 7 years old. One year ago the water line that services the drinking water developed a leak. The leak was not at a bend or pressure point. It just split on the side of the hose. I spliced the line the with some new line and 2 connector. Recently it started leaking again. The original hose is so brittle that if I were to push on a connector it will most likely break again. The hose runs into the back wall so it cannot be replaced without tearing off the entire back panel which I'm not sure is even possible. I feel that a water line should last close to as long as the rest of the unit. Especially if it is not replaceable. So thanks Kenmore for saving 10 cents and using cheap materials. I guess you think I should take my fridge to a landfill and buy a new one every 7 years.

I have always purchased Kenmore appliances and I am terribly sorry they are defunct. My Kenmore washer is 35 years old, drier 30 years old... fridge 15 years old. I had to purchase a new stove two years ago and bought a Maytag for $2100. It lasted just two years and the computer system had to be replaced. $900 repair bill. Not happy about that.

I bought a set of Kenmore appliances from Sears. The refrigerator was made by LG . After a year and seven months the refrigerator stopped cooling. I called up Sears and asked about the warranty. They explain to me that they would send out a repairman however I would have to pay over $200 for service call but they would take that out if in fact there was something wrong with the refrigerator. The repairman Came out and told me there was a leak in the coolant system. He then told me it was not even worth to repair. He told me the LGs have a terrible history of either compressor is going out or a leak. When I asked about the warranty he said there was a one-year warranty. I asked about fixing it. He told me he could only guarantee it for a month. His advice was to buy Whirlpool Frigidaire or GE. I called up Sears and they told me There was no warranty on the coolant system. In fact there was only one year warranty.

I looked around to other manufacturers and found out that they stand behind their cooling system. So I had a 18 month old refrigerator that did not work. I tried calling a repairman to see how much he would charge. He told me he would not even work on it. He gave me the same advice. Stick with whirlpool Frigidaire KitchenAid. The true cost of the refrigerator was over $ 3000. I know I understand wife's ears went out of business. What I would tell anybody is do not buy a Kenmore or LG as they do not stand behind their products.

I went Home Depot to buy another refrigerator and I and explained to three people that were looking at LGs what happened to me. They told me, "Thank you" because they understood that buying a product that would not stand behind its a warranty it's not a product they need in their kitchen. I would strongly suggest to anybody when you buy a new refrigerator look at the warranty On the cooling system. Interesting enough Frigidaire stands behind their cooling system.

I bought a Kenmore Side by Side Refrigerator (Model 10651139214) 33 months ago, less than three years from SEARS. All lights stopped working, all at once. I called the number on the manual and was told that someone could be scheduled to "diagnose" the problem for a fee of $149 and also that my refrigerator had only a one year warranty and I did not pay extra for extended service. I scheduled the appointment reluctantly. I had a local, and trusted for years, repairman come to take a look. He checked everything and related to the lights, looking at the tech sheet and online. It is determined that the part that is needed is $215 just for the part and it is on backorder with no projected date of arrival. My repairman also said that this specific refrigerator has a "Tech Service Alert" attached to it, meaning several people have had the same problem. BUT Kenmore does NOT back up their product.

What ever happened to good companies backing up what they sell? I will never purchase a Kenmore product again. My purchase from SEARS this time included this refrigerator, a flat top stove and range hood and a dishwasher. The Samsung (another review I left here) stove had issues within the first two weeks and I was told that the stovetop wearing through in two weeks is considered a blemish and isn't covered.

Sears's technician told me that Kenmore will charge me over $800 for repairing with compressor replacement, and customer service even more pissed me off!!! Different representative are saying all different story!!!! I paid $1700 brand new Kenmore Refrigerator but works only 2 years, then will pay another $800 labor cost to repair and extended warranty only 6 month... Pls remember don't buy Kenmore Refrigerator, the quality is sucks, and customer service is sucks even much more.

We bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator in 2018. On January 29, 2021 the compressor quit working, food was ruined. Okay, things happen. We called about having a warranty repair. Wife was on phone for more than 3 hours with different parties within the Sears network. Got appointment for February 1st, GREAT service! Service provider contacted us to confirm OUR MARCH 1ST APPOINTMENT!!! Back to the phone calls. ABSOLUTELY NO HELP FOR 50 YEAR CUSTOMERS!!! JUST A LOT OF "well, call this number". So if you have a Kenmore refrigerator, I recommend you purchase another brand and keep it ready in your garage as Kenmore doesn't give a HOOT about you after they sell you anything. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER KENMORE PRODUCT AGAIN!!! WARRANTY SERVICE?? WHAT WARRANTY SERVICE????
