My Jenn Air dishwasher model # JB3200AWSS was purchase in Aug 7, 2012 from Seattle Home Appliance in Seattle, Washington. Seattle Home Appliance contact info is: 18811 Bothell Way NE, Bothell, WA 98011, (425) 485-0552. Electric touchpad and control panel has been replaced 3 times in a twelve month period, and the drain pump was replaced. I called Jenn-Air right before my one year warranty was to expire to express serious concern about the state of this extremely unreliable dishwasher and they gave me an extended two year warranty. No less than two weeks after they granted the extended warranty, the control panel touch pad went out again. The last time the machine was to be repaired, I asked for the dishwasher to be replaced. I believe the machine is a lemon and according to Jenn Air, they are only willing to continue repairing the machine and not replace it, per my new 2 year warranty.

With the amount of time the dishwasher was out of commission in the last twelve months, I have calculated that I have spent about one month hand washing dishes while I wait for parts and service. I am furious that no one at Jenn Air will resolve this mess and replace my lemon dishwasher! This machine has been consistently faulty since we purchased it. I think four repairs in a twelve month period is unacceptable and I have asked in no uncertain terms for a replacement, and my request has been denied. Here are the repairs made by Seattle Home Appliance: Again, machine was purchased Aug 7, 2012.

    12/05/2012 - Touch pad replacement (part #W10208764), CNTRL-ELEC + CORECHARGE10 (part #W10285178)
    5/28/2013 - Pump Drain Replacement (part #W10158351)
    7/15/2013 - Touch Pad replacement (part #W10208764)

    8/16/2013 - Touch Pad Replacement (part #W10208764)

We have an 8-year old stainless steel Jenn-Air Dishwasher JDB2100AWS (spent $1,200) which came highly recommended because of its reputation. It washed well under all settings. We had no problems with the motor. My only complaint is that the parts were inferior. First, the bottom rack rusted, which had to be replaced. Then the middle rack rusted, which had to be replaced and now the middle wash-arm has broken off and I have contacted numerous parts suppliers including Whirlpool / Maytag / Jenn-Air to be informed that the manufacturer has stopped manufacturing those parts. I am still searching the web for those parts. Solution given to me was, "Buy a new dishwasher".

The racks are falling apart. Now my panel is completely out. It will not start and does not do a good job cleaning either unless you run the lightest load on Heavy Load. It's 5 years old. I will not purchase this brand again.

Less than two years after purchasing a high end Jenn-Air dishwasher, the bottom rack rusted out and fell apart. I contacted Jenn-Air and had to pay over $150 for a replacement rack. The replacement rack does not fit well and constantly falls off the track. Our old Kenmore washer was over 20 years old and did not have this problem. Now the top rack is rusting. I'll never buy a Jenn-Air again.

We purchased our Jenn-Air appliances in 2008. The pivoting dividers in the dishwasher racks have all broken - and we are by no means hard on our appliances. The only cycle that gets the dishes cleaned properly is the "Heavy" one - if you use any other, you have to examine each dish when unloading to check for debris. During 25% of the cycles, it makes a very loud grinding noise, and now it is spewing small grease spots on the dishes.

The microwave comes on by itself. So far, it shuts itself off after 2-3 minutes, but it worries me that if this happens when we are away and it doesn't shut off, it could be a fire hazard. The refrigerator is almost impossible to get regulated properly with the temperature settings. I have had many fruits and vegetables freeze when the control has been set above a freezing temperature. I didn't notice before we bought the refrigerator, but the fruit and vegetable drawers are so unbelievably shallow with an angled back wall that they won't even hold a week's worth of produce. We have not had any issues with our stovetop or built in wall oven.

I do not want to purchase Jenn-Air again, but we purchased the black glass models and it won't be easy to replace them with anything that will match the ones that we are not having problems with. The most frustrating part is that Whirlpool who makes Maytag and Jenn-Air doesn't care. I know this because we replaced our last appliances which were high-end Maytag, and which were also junk with Jenn-Air thinking that the next level up would have to be better, but they are not. We will never purchase any products made by Whirlpool again.

I have a Jenn-Air dishwasher JDB1250AWS10. I bought it six years ago. Some of the tines have rusted out and need to be replaced. No problem. That is a part that naturally wears out. When I called Jenn-Air, they said that they don't make those parts anymore. They stated that "the manufacturer stopped making those parts". They are the manufacturer! When I asked what they suggested I do, they stated that I should buy a new appliance! Not from you Jenn-Air! Never again!

I built a new home in June 2007 and Gemcraft Homes only offered Jenn-Air appliances or the lesser Maytag appliances. JennAir was considered an "upgrade" so I bought the stove, dishwasher and microwave for $$$. Four years later, I had to replace the dishwasher and the microwave. Needless to say, I would never purchase another Jenn-Air product! My dishwasher was producing black grease spots on the dishes and the whole motor in the bottom of the machine was black. It started making a noise like there was a fork in the machine and then it kept shutting off and then coming back on. It was not worth the repair.

Also, the microwave made a noise then just quit. I called four appliance repair companies and none of them work on microwaves. This is another throwaway! I already had the drawers replaced on the dishwasher during the first year. The stove, which is still working (thank heavens), has had the knobs replaced twice and they are not cheap! The stove top is discolored. Jenn-Air should not be able to get away with this!

We ordered a Jenn-Air dishwasher JDB2100AWS. The plastic latches for the fold-away tines broke in the upper and lower racks. We ordered new latches but they don't match the original latches and thus don't fit the existing fold-away tines. Jenn-Air told me that they changed the latch design and the fold-away tine design. In order for the new replacement latches to fit, I need to order the new fold-away tines. The problem is that the lower rack fold-away tines are discontinued!

Jenn-Air dishwasher model #JDB1250AWS. We used the "sanitization" cycle and the unit got excessively hot. It melted rack, clips and contents of the dishwasher (utensil handles, tupperware, plastics). The kitchen counter was also excessively hot to the touch above the dishwasher, although no noticeable damage incurred. Had we not been present to turn off the unit manually, we feel it would have continued to cause a fire hazard.

We have a Jenn-Air dishwasher that has been inoperable for 2 months as the electronic panel went out and the local repair shop said there is NO part in the distributorship and it will be at least another month before they get it in. This dishwasher is still under warranty. Also, the latch is broken and needs to be repaired. We are not the only people who are waiting for this part. I don't think this is good public relations when a fairly new appliance goes out and they don't have the part to fix it.

I have a Jenn Air dishwasher model# JDB2100AWS, that came with the house we purchased and is only 4 years old. It is the WORST dishwasher I have ever had. We have had to have the top rack replaced. The control panel was replaced in August of 07 only to have it break down again 15 months later on December 23rd. I had to cancel 2 holiday parties due to the dishwasher not working. We had to pay for the service tech to come out and tell us what we already knew was wrong both times at about 65.00 per visit. Secondly, we had to wait for the part to be ordered and delivered, then we had to pay for the installation of the part. It is now January 6th and we were called yesterday to be advised the part is on back order! I was told repeatedly by Jenn Air that this is not a common problem... if so, why is the part on back order? There is no point going to customer service because they just apologize and claim a customer relations rep will call you back. We did receive a call from the rep only after I called repeatedly and finally stated that I had called numerous times without a response. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and will warn all of my family, friends and associated to NEVER purchase a Jenn Air product.

Jenn Aire SS Dishwasher which has been installed less than 6 months. Door latch design is a piece of crap. It has no positive locking system and just kind of clips shut. It is fine until the wash cycle actually starts and blows the door part way open, which then lets water leak all over the floor if you aren't there the entire cycle to babysit it. If we had paid $200 for this dishwasher, I would expect such quality, but this was pushing on $1000. Haven't tried the warranty route yet, but the latch is what it is and I'm not sure they will be able to do anything about it anyway, warranty or not.

We read your JennAir complaints page this morning and had to laugh (to keep from crying)! We too bought a new home in 1999, and fell for the upgraded appliances' line. The entire kitchen was outfitted with JennAir.

In just 6 years, we have replaced that defrost circuit board one of your customers complained about, replaced the microswitch in the dishwasher (yes, the diskwasher that we are now being told to NOT USE until the fire hazard recall is serviced, and we are about to replace the circuit board in the Self-cleaning Grill-Range with Conventional and Convection Oven, for the FOURTH time!

As with other complaints seen here, calls to Maytag corporate offices result in just more stress. They have the pass-the-buck thing down pat, and there is not a chance that they ae listning.

I have also carefully documeted my case to the US Consumer Products Safety Commission, as every time we used the Self-cleaning feature (twice), it burned out the circuit board. Seems like a fire hazard to me!

We have reluctantly decided to replace ALL the JennAir appliances in our home. The only way to get their attention is to make sure we let EVERYONE know that JennAir quality is a myth, and to vote with our dollars.

We will NEVER have another Maytag product in our home.

Thank goodness there hasn't been a fire, yet!

When I purchased my new home, the builder placed Jenn aire products throughout the house, i.e. dishwasher, range, cook top etc. This has been the utmost worse dishwasher I have ever owned. The dishes do not dry at all and there is an odor that I can not get rid of. I have called the service department out several times and they keep telling me that nothing is wrong with the dishwasher. I don't even use the dishwasher anymore and can't wait to replace it with a more reliable product from anywhere(as long as it isn't a jenn aire or maytag product). I have never had a brand new product that was unusable to the point that when I open the door, it ,makes me sick.

There is no damage to anything except to the company because I will NEVER purchase another product with Jenn Aire name on it.

I have several Jenn Air Appliances in my kitchen. One has caused problems as a safety hazard since it was installed.

My dishwasher, a Jenn Air Ultimate Quiet Series model, has sharp exposed stainless steel corners and edges. These edges have cut the legs of several of my family members over a three year period.

Some of these cuts have been serious. It is impossible to avoid contact when unloading to the dish cabinet over the dishwasher. When my three year old granddaughter said to me, Grandma your dishwasher is dangerous, right.I decided to try to get some help with this problem. I contacted the Jenn Air customer service [Maytag] department. I have observed that most dishwashers have plastic covers on the corners. I thought that they would be able to provide these to make their product safe.

Their representative contacted me. She said that our dishwasher is out of warranty. She suggested that we exercise caution and put duct tape on the corners. I was appalled. The problem that I have is a design flaw, which should not involve the warranty. I did not remodel my kitchen with an attractive stainless steel dishwasher to have to put tape on it to avoid injury. One should not have to avoid a dishwasher in the same way that they do scissors or sharp knives.

As many as 20 cuts have occurred in the past four years. I should not have to replace the dishwasher in order to keep my family safe.

Three times our dishwasher broke and now it still sits there. first two times some small $8 part broke and it cost more to ship the part than the actual part itself.

    now, the motor's broken.

We bought a new home in 2000, and had all Jenn-Air appliances installed. Mistakenly, we thought we were buying quality product with Maytag/Jenn-Air reputation behind them.

In the first year, the dishwasher burnt a hole in itself. Jenn-Air did replace this for free. Since then, we have been more than nickled and dimed on every other appliance.

Our cooktop has been repair twice. Our oven has been repaired twice. The repairman said Jenn-Air puts in the least expensive parts (lowest bidder) on new products, but then when you pay for the repair, you get quality parts.

Our SxS refridgerator is now on it's second major repair. I finally asked Jenn-Air/Maytag to step up and take some responsibility for their poor products. I even spoke with a Manager. The answer: No. It is our policy to to repair product at our cost that are out of warranty. Even when every one of them has broken multiple times!!!

Caveat Emptor -- Buy Beware. These products are pure garbage. Spend 1/3 the money and get a better product in Kenmore.

Every single repair has cost at least $200 to $400, not too mention all of the lost food and lack of use.

I purchased a Jennaire dishwasher, Range, microwave and refrigerator two and a half years ago for my new home. The dishwasher has a crack in the plastic tub from the top rack bracket hitting the back wall.

The range oven fan will not go off and the oven beeps nonstop. They have repaired it once 4 month ago and it broke again. The bottom front cover plate fell off and had to be reglued about 6 mths ago.

The microwave blows the circuit breaker about once per week. Repairmen have looked at it 3 different times and can't find the cause.

The refigerator had the thermostate and ice maker replaced the first year. The ice maker is broke again, it will only make crushed ice. The shelves on the door come loose when full so I keep the about half full. The bottom tray on the door for milk storage falls out constantly because of poorly designed plastic inserts. Repairman says it the design he can't fix it. The cover bracket on the lower front door hinge will not stay attached so, it's in the drawer.

I paid extra for premium upgraded appliances. They are poor design, poor quality. My wife or I have to take off work for an entire day for service calls. Service charge is $75 (approx).

I would not recommend this brand to anyone.
