On Dec 3 we received our first delivery. Removed old dishwasher, DID NOT install new dishwasher, water was not turned off and a plug was not installed in the garage disposal, resulting in water damage in the basement and to the cabinets. On a subsequent delivery the installer said it was against policy to leave without installing a dishwasher. Will Home Depot verify this was against company policy. Delivered wrong model of dishwasher. Tape was removed from stove. Large areas of adhesive could not be removed by delivery team. Did not install anti-tipping system on stove.

Both washer and dryer were damaged and returned at a later date. Cold water on washer was not tightened causing water to drip. Homeowner tightened connection. Shelving not installed in refrigerator. Dec 6 had plumber inspect for leaking water, plumber installed plug in garbage disposal to stop leak. Dec 10 delivery team came to pick up washer and dryer WITHOUT new washer and dryer. Washer and dryer remained until new washer and dryer was delivered. Dec 12 second incorrect dishwater delivered returned to Home Depot. No notice that a different model dishwasher was delivered

Dec 16 second stove delivered. Delivery agent said didn’t have to install anti-tipping device because previous installer should have. And was not on his work order. Delivery team would not remove protective tape from stove, ‘not my job’. Second washer and dryer delivered. Hauled existing washer and dryer away, DID NOT mark washer as being returned. Issue was resolved by John at Brighton Home Depot. Washer was connected with the hot and cold connection reversed, homeowner swapped water connections. Could not get purchased dishwasher from Home Depot. Currently no working garage disposal or dishwasher.

We ordered an entire kitchen suite on November 22 to be delivered December 18th. We prepared for delivery. On the 18th they rescheduled for after Christmas on the 26th. Disappointed but still hopeful for a good experience. They came on the 26th. They brought in a dented refrigerator and a dented microwave. They did not hook up the refrigerator or the dishwasher. They didn’t remove the dishwasher and just left the old one. They said they did not have the right parts. It was a horrible experience. A huge investment and the works rushed, dented, and left with no resolution.

After 3 so called "missed deliveries" done by ill mannered children. I called customer service times to get a GE stove delivered... THREE! I was home each and every time at my cell phone WAITING for a delivery call that never happened! When I called customer service they didn't believe me when I told them the drivers never called when the truck arrived. My house is on a hill so the drivers must call in order to deliver. I specifically asked them to have them call upon arrival. I never got a call on the last delivery date nor today. This is the 3 reschedule date. If they mess up again I will go to Lowe's which wasn't much better.

What happened to paying adult men to do a man's job. I am very disappointed with Home Depot. I have 2 more appliances coming with them unfortunately. If I experience this again with Home Depot. I will go to a smaller company that has gas installers and plumbers. Consider the low ratings here...it could be you next. This was a sincere rating. No more appliances from Home Depot for me!

Worst possible experience possible. The installer was not trained, not an employee, and not skilled or licensed. After the installer botched the plumbing, damaged the cabinets and scratched the wood floors, calling customer service turned out to be the worst of all. All of this led to a month's long process of making a claim and playing duck and hide with the insurance company representing The Home Depot. Take the advice of thousands of 1 star reviews and steer clear of The Home Depot. They might be okay at selling nails, but if you but an appliance and have them install it... You will be screwed!

I had been to Home Depot 3 times this week. Each visit I asked a question and was immediately taken care of. Today's visit, I needed some PVC pipes cut to a specific length. I went to the display and Ed was answering some questions a customer asked. Ed asked if I needed his help and I answered yes. He told me he would be with in a few minutes. That was fine, he was doing his job. When he came to me he asked what can he help me with. I told him that I needed 4 PVC at 88 inches. He double checked we me that this was the item and verified the length. He helped me check out because it was cumbersome to carry. I could not thank Ed enough for all of his help.

Home Depot customer service is horrible! My mom ordered a washer/dryer set. It was delivered and the washer was faulty. Water didn't come out - service guy came out the next day and said it was faulty and would be replaced next day. My mom called Home Depot- she was transferred to different numbers a few times. She got a rep that had an accent and was hard to understand. Can't get a replacement for the washer for another week. My mom explained she was told a replacement would be next day. Home Depot needs to train their employees and their 3rd parties (if they are using 3rd party for delivery) that they are to tell the customer to refer to the scheduling department for a delivery date. It is false information that the customer is recieves at this point. Customer needs to plan accordingly. This is very poor service!

Don't ever buy an appliance from Home Depot. We bought a washer and dryer 15 years ago and ignorantly went back expecting the same service went we bought a new set. The truck driver said he wasn't a good driver and couldn't maneuver our street, ( everyone else has no problem.) The installer couldn't read the invoice and had no idea how to install a stackable set. We also were communicating through a language translation app. It was a disaster and we called the whole thing off. Damn it. I'll never trust that company again. They don't care. The service people were absolutely horrible. First, they didn't deliver on the day promised. Then, when they arrived they were slow and RUDE!! They were supposed to come with everything they needed to hook it up. We paid for all the service and parts. The cord was supposed to reach and didn't so WE had to provide something to extend it. They were loud, aggressive and when they finally got it put in, it stuck out further than it was supposed to. They made excuses, but they were just bad at their job. We paid a fortune for delivery and disposal, only to realize they were the last place we should have gone for a dishwasher. TAKE MY ADVICE -- GO TO LOWE'S INSTEAD!!!

We purchased a new set of LG appliances for our home. The sales process was easy as the salesperson was very helpful and knowledgeable. Delivery and installation were a disaster. We received a text rescheduling delivery two days before expected delivery. It assigned us a new date without asking what was convenient for us. On delivery day there were several scuffs and dents in our flooring and walls. The delivery people were very insistent on putting my rug back in place so it made me suspicious. When I lifted it up, there were scratches all over my floor. Appliances were not even leveled. Our dishwasher needed a plumber to install and the plumber that was sent was great and we have no complaints about him.

Our experience with Temco has been nothing short of awful. They were contracted to deliver our appliances from Home Depot, and the process has been a disaster from start to finish. Deliveries have been delayed over and over again, with no communication or accountability. Most recently, they showed up without the dryer we had purchased — the delivery team admitted it wasn’t even on the truck. At this point, it feels like they outright lost our appliance. Meanwhile, we’ve had to go weeks without essential items we paid thousands of dollars for.

The constant rescheduling, broken promises, and complete lack of reliability have been exhausting and costly. We’ve wasted time off work waiting at home for deliveries that never showed up, and we’re still without what we ordered. If you see Temco is handling your delivery, be prepared for endless delays, poor service, and zero accountability. They have been incompetent at every step, and customers deserve far better. Home Depot will give us a new dryer and tried to help but this delivery service has to go.

We bought a stove in store - the extra fees were a lot, but we figured we were still at a good price. The delivery company has been a nightmare and I wish I knew who they were. The first guy said they wouldn't install the stove - he came in, was on his phone for about 20 mins, and then looked at the gas piping and said it needed to be secured to the wall. He said we needed a plumber. He called a guy at a Papa Johns (he had the speaker on) and I guess was attempting to get his friend to do it for an extra cost (we paid for installation with new parts already!!) but I told him not to bother. He sat there for another 10 mins on his phone, asked if we were refusing the delivery, and then left.

The second try, we got a call in the morning saying the delivery was good to go and the truck would be arriving soon. Once it arrives, a guy gets out and says "didn't they call you? there's a part out of stock so no delivery today." He leaves. Third try was today. We've had to take off all three days from work with limited PTO because they won't give you a time estimate until day-of. We didn't get the time estimate message by around 10am so called to see what was happening. Home Depot called the delivery company, and the delivery company said they had no record of an order.

Next try will be on the 20th (10 days from now), and our order will be automatically cancelled on the 23rd since they only keep the appliance in the warehouse for 20 days. They've offered to just bring the new oven in and leave it in our house, but we paid way too much for installation and for the old one to be removed - we're not putting another dime into this!! I want to get a full refund for everything we've put into this, but my wife is still hopeful we might end up with a stove. I sincerely think they will come up with new excuses to run out the time, and then not refund us anything.

I was charged every single time I was charged 5 microwaves, 2 stoves and 3 dishwashers. Still don't even have my dishwasher installed. Even though I paid for installation, because these guys don't know how to install dishwashers.. I'm supposed to have my dishwasher. Reid delivered yesterday.

I get a call at seven thirty in the morning that that one is damaged.. While it's all fine and dandy, that they'll give you a couple 100 blocks on a gift card for the inconvenience. Let's talk about my Home Depot credit card that has over thirteen thousand dollars on it from a eight thousand dollar sale, which really should be seven thousand dollars and I refused the microwave and returned it fully. Was told I don't have to go to the store and they pushed it through to find out a week later. I do have to go to the store for that refund and swipe my card because it wasn't in store purchase. Subject: Extremely Disappointed with Appliance Delivery & Customer Service. I’m writing to express my disappointment with a recent appliance order from Home Depot totaling $2,900, which included a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. Unfortunately, the experience has left me frustrated and unlikely to order from Home Depot again. When the refrigerator was delivered, the door was dented. We contacted customer service right away and spoke with a manager—her name was either Dana or Daina—who was extremely rude and dismissive. All we asked for was a replacement door, but she flatly told us it “wasn’t going to happen.” This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially after spending a significant amount of money and trusting Home Depot with a major purchase.

The delivery team ultimately switched the dented door with one from the unit they were replacing, which felt like a makeshift fix rather than a proper resolution.

To make things worse, the replacement delivery was scheduled for Labor Day weekend. We had to stay home to wait for it—on my mother’s birthday—since the refrigerator was a gift for her. This entire experience was disappointing, stressful, and upsetting. For such a large purchase, I expected a higher level of care, professionalism, and support. Sadly, that was not the case.

First, it was impossible to make the appointment, then they ordered the wrong part, then they came out to put the correct part in, they left, and it is still broken. Now that I’m trying to go back to square one, I’m running into the same issues with making an appointment It makes much more sense to pay a little more and go to a smaller appliance store where you actually get good service if something goes wrong.

If I could give zero stars, I would! I purchased a high end stove and refrigerator for our cabin so that we could have it for our family reunion on the fourth of July. The truck showed up two weeks prior without the refrigerator. They then said that it would be delivered the next week. I had MULTIPLE calls to Home Depot to determine whether the refrigerator was coming or not. They said it was on the schedule for July 2 and that I would get a notification from the delivery company. I did not receive any notifications that it was coming and had to contact them to make sure it was coming. They said it would be there between 3 and 7 and I would get another notification (this never happened).

They would not give me the contact information of the delivery service but could only say their records stated it was being delivered. It did not show up by 7 and I called again. They said it was still coming. Finally, a truck showed up at 8:00 pm. The delivery men could not get the french doors to line up (one is about a half inch higher than the other). He said we needed to get a replacement. He would put the information in his notes and to call the store and that they would bring a replacement. They did not install the bottom pull on the freezer. My husband had to install it and we discovered the that the ends were broken.

When I called, the store said that it was the holiday weekend and I would have to call back on Monday. When I called on Monday, they said I would have to go through Frigidaire and they needed the model number and serial number (which I didn't have because I was back home and getting ready to leave on vacation for a few weeks). They said not to worry about it, just to call when I was back up there. When I finally got the information and called, they said I had to call Frigidaire directly. When I did that, Frigidaire said I had to go through Home Depot because it was broken when I received it. When I called Home Depot, they said that they had nothing in their notes so they couldn't replace it.

I am a Home Depot Pro and have spent a ridiculous amount of money at their stores. I will never deal with them again. This has been a nightmare of being on hold for hours and dealing with people who don't know what they're talking about. Every time I have to be there, I need to drive two hours. I am now waiting for a tech to come out to look at the refrigerator to tell me that yes, indeed it is broken.

We bought a KitchenAid built in refrigerator and the delivery people could not leave it in our home as it was "curbside" so it was left on our patio. Installation was NOT available at the time of delivery. We used their Pro Referral Service and another week passed before the technician could come out. The refrigerator (which weighted over 600 lbs.) was brought into our home and plugged in. We were told to wait 24 hours before plugging in. We did as advised. When we plugged in the refrigerator, the freezer never got cold. We called Home Depot and we were asking for another unit as this one was clearly defective. We were told NO RETURNS after 48 hours.

When we explained to the customer service Manager, Bri, what the situation was, she actually asked us why we didn't take it out of the box and find out if it was defective while it was sitting on our patio! What??? The level of incompetence and lack of customer service is absolutely unbelievable! We have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot over the last several years but this will be our last time. We are so disappointed with the lack of customer service behind this over $ 8000 refrigerator. Go to Costco, Pacific Sales, go anywhere except Home Depot. You have been warned!!!

Totally useless. Waste of time sitting with an elderly gentleman who ate his snack bar while looking online for what I was describing. He had no knowledge whatsoever on the topic. He spoke not a word to me while munching snacking and and printing out site info for me to read. He did this at my request and based on his response I thought he knew what he was doing.

He printed out info on 2 refrigerators without a word to me. He told me the classic refrigerator I was looking at had no drawers in the freezer which I found out later is not true. The pages he printed - maybe 6-8 pages each model - were useless since they were blank. Just gray bars across the page with a single picture on the first page. No info at all. The salesman gave me no info. I hope he was not sick and that is why he chose to eat rather than provide any real assistance. After 10 min, and absolutely no info I went to lowes. Total waste of time looking online or going to the store. Huge thumbs down. Trying to click on the thumbs down icon right now and the system will not let me. Given all I've been through (I live 45 min from this rental property), I simply asked for just a little help with getting an exact time for a replacement delivery and all I get is excuses as to why the third party hauler won't do that despite the fact they work for a large company like Home Depot.

I have a time window, but they haven't provided me with a truck tracker this time so I have to sit around and wait there and have no ability to see if there are delays, etc. We've had discussions with the Cary, NC acting store manager, the Assistant Store Manager, many people at their 800 number, and lastly the Resolutions department. They're all full of excuses but no assistance. Picture attached is the internal hosing of a brand new washing machine that caused the water damage at my unit.

I am a big user of reviews so I wish I had done more due diligence before buying online! The installers couldn’t use the hose I was forced to purchase with my dryer, instead using the original hose. They also broke a piece off that only hid the screws so it was purely cosmetic. But you can’t simply get that one piece as a replacement- they must replace the entire dryer. The Home Depot team NEVER called me back to schedule the dryer replacement. I went to the store to complain about the hose falling off both the dryer and the wall (see the picture) but was told I shouldn’t have accepted installation when they couldn’t replace the hose, but more importantly they couldn’t help me because I had purchased it online! I wish I had known.

I called HD and got approval for the replacement and was told they will call me between Monday and Wednesday. Of course they did not! When I called back, I was informed they had already scheduled the installation without my input! When the guys delivered, they refused to change the door direction because it wasn’t on the order! I begged and they finally did it but couldn’t install the hose because it was no longer connected to the wall! Now I have to have a plumber come out so I will incur more expense! I’ve had this dryer for 4 weeks and have only used it a handful of times before the hose broke and now I can’t use the new one at all! Beyond frustrated!

I paid $1363.00 in April 11, 2025 for a Frigidaire washer/dryer combo. It was installed on April 19, 2025. On June 25, 2025, after a week of wringing out the clothes from the washer that is not draining, I called for warranty service. Finally got an appt for July 2, 2025. The tech says the drain pump is broken and there was some concern about the motor. Today, July 3, 2025, I get a message from the techs saying the part will take 7 to 10 business days to arrive and another 48 hours to schedule install. I called Home Depot and requested a new replacement. This unit is less than 90 days old. The so called "Resolution person", a boy named 'joy" was extremely rude, would not listen and put me in a very long hold without warning. If I could have gotten to him, it would not have been nice.

I am 72 years old, I paid $1400 cash dollars. Am I suppose to lug my clothes to a laundromat? Home depot says they cannot replace. I must go with warranty. Ok, home depot, you just lost a customer and I will alert all reviews I can, after I contact my credit card company. You will never have to worry about me purchasing major appliance again from home depot. Your customer service is appalling. I do not have a washer and dryer. What is the logic here? Order **. I am livid!

We used to love Home Depot for the home we built and our architectural business. We recently purchased an LG washer and dryer. The installer delivered it, left it in the hallway, and then the installer came back five days later to install it. After installation (which they didn't call us in advance for; they showed up at 7:30 am unannounced), the dryer didn't work. The installer installed it and then said we have to have a drain pan installed. Our plumber did that at a cost of $300.

After about 15 calls, Home Depot said they no longer cover it after 48 hours and we have to contact the manufacturer. It would not have been possible to see that the dryer didn't work sitting in the hallway uninstalled. LG eventually came after we spoke with them several times. It turns out the Home Depot installer (Pro Home Services) broke the gas valve during installation. If you value your time, peace of mind, sanity or well-being, purchase from anyone other than Home Depot. Truly deplorable customer service that no one should ever experience.

    >>> DO NOT PURCHASE LARGE APPLIANCES HERE <<< I purchased a GE profile washer/dryer May 8th, 2025 from Home Depot and paid extra for the professional installation and 3 year protection plan. We left for the weekend to attend a wedding shortly after it was installed and returned to a flooded basement. Our plumber identified that the washer/dryer was the culprit, and a faulty installation stripped one of the plastic connections causing a slow leak (which we didn’t immediately notice since it started behind the unit).

We called Home Depot who referred us to GE for a repair/replacement. GE has been to our home now 3 times over the course of 6 weeks, ordered 3 sets of parts, and has fixed absolutely nothing - their repair person actually dented the unit and the leak has broken it completely (no heat in dryer). GE stated we need to ask Home Depot for a refund or replacement, and their service tech candidly told us GE never deems a unit “unrepairable” and will continue to order random parts and schedule service appointments every two weeks hoping something works/the customer gives up.

After explaining the issue to Home Depot June 2nd, the Watchung NJ store manager refused to refund the faulty unit (which their installers broke) and told us we needed to call Allstate under our protection plan. Allstate, when called, told us they can’t replace the unit until the manufacturer warranty expires (in a whole year) and only the Home Depot can replace or refund us.

The dryer unit is still leaking, doesn’t heat, and nobody is willing to take responsibility for selling a defective product (Home Depot, GE, or Allstate). We did everything “right” and AS OF JUNE 19, 2025 have property damage (the soaked basement carpet we had to blow out for 72 hours), emotional distress, and haven’t been able to wash our clothes in our home for months. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Buy from Lowe’s and don’t purchase a GE product. DO NOT TRUST THEIR “PROTECTION PLANS” OR WARRANTY

Service from delivery guys was awful, not customer oriented. Scratched my basement door by my old washer when removed. The new Electrolux washer/dryer hooked myself. HD did not install the units, no new supply lines provided - drop off only. Since I am a plumber there is no any problems to get it installed or fixed under warranty or after warranty finished! BUT!!! The movers were very lazy, extremely rude with my wife, big drama happened every minute (new washer was too heavy for them, too narrow stairs in the basement - and my old and new appliances are the same deep and width, BTW) and movers are waiting for the extra money from me, the idea about tips only for this BIG MOVER's DRAMA in my house... Don’t ever buy appliances from Home Depot, call to any other places with quiet and smart, careful & nice behavior, polite and with full respect for customers movers!

Dishwasher Installation Disaster – I Had to Do It Myself. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot along with professional installation. The installers showed up, took one look at the space, and walked away — citing “missing side panels” as their reason. These were cosmetic trim pieces, not structural or code-related. My home was inspected just weeks before (April 2025) and passed with zero electrical or code issues. The previous dishwasher had been installed and working in the exact same space for years.

After multiple follow-ups and vague excuses, I had to install the dishwasher myself — with no professional training. It’s now working perfectly. There was nothing preventing their team from doing the job except a lack of desire to do it. Home Depot has yet to issue a refund for the service I paid for, nor have they taken accountability for the experience. I wasted time, lost work, and got ghosted by their customer care team after being told a manager would “review” it. That was days ago. I highly advise others to think twice before trusting Home Depot for appliance installation. If it’s not 100% cookie-cutter, they’ll leave it behind and vanish.

We are renovating our rental house and ordered appliances from Home Depot online. We checked the "ready to use" box on the washer and dryer, refrigerator, and stove (which couldn't be done as there isn't an installer for that in the area). They delivered them during the week when my son could be there to let them in. The only thing they asked my son was if we wanted the washer and dryer stacked. My son called me and I told him no, so they didn't. In fact, they didn't install anything we asked them to. They delivered them, asked that question, and left.

Fast forward to this week. I called the customer service number and spoke with Camille. I told her what was going on, to which she responded "you are one week outside the 30 day window for installations". She then proceeded to blame my son for not asking them to install the appliances. I told her he shouldn't have to because we checked the box for "ready to use" appliances. She then went on to say that they didn't do it because we were renovating. I reminded her that she didn't know that until today in this conversation, so they wouldn't have known that until they saw it themselves while delivering AND the room they put the washer and dryer in is NOT being renovated.

She then told me that it's now 1 week outside of the 30 day installation window, that I should have called to get them installed sooner, and that there's nothing she can do for me now. She even went as far to say "if you really needed these installed, you wouldn't wait 5 weeks to call to get it set up", and reminded me again that the install service was free within 30 days of delivery.

I told her it does not matter why I didn't call right away or what is going on at my house, I checked the boxes to have them "ready to use" and they didn't do their job. The fact that it's a free service is worse, because installing them should be automatic then, we shouldn't have to ask! She offered to give me a list of people to hire to install them. We jumped back into the vicious circle of it being their job to do it in the first place, and nowhere in the ordering process stated that I needed to call within 30 days to have them do it. It was implied that they would right away when the boxes were checked. She admitted that they didn't do their job but told me there was nothing she could or would do about it.

They told my boyfriend when he called a couple of days ago that we needed to report any issues with the appliances within 48 hours of delivery - beware of that too as it is also not something they disclosed to us upfront when making the purchases. So far we know the stove and fridge work. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. We will not be wasting anymore time or money at Home Depot.

Home Depot delivery service expects that one whole you leave everything and sit wait for them to show up any time they want. In my case I requested delivery after 2 pm, they started texting me on day of delivery will show up 8-12, call HD customer service. They said will deliver 12-1 pm, 5 mins later driver calls and say will be there at 9 am in 30 mins, then asked to reschedule, they cannot reschedule until driver gets back to warehouse. It feel like you just take a day off sit at home anticipating HD could come and deliver any minute.

Delivery service awful. They installed washer. Hose leaked, delivery men came back with new hoses and replaced. They left again and then drain hose started leaking. Called several times. Told they would replace unit. They canceled two times, excuses. Bad customer service reps on help delivery hotline. No help at all. Went back to store and they are just as bad. Manager- no help, sales guy tried to help but HD computer notes show not installed by delivery? What a waste of time! Now the delivery company lied and told HD they did not install the unit, drop off only. What?!?? So now more problems to get it fixed even though under warranty! Don’t ever buy appliances here, go to other places!

I generally refrain from negative reviews, but I’ve had one too many predictable bad experiences. Right now, I have a brand new washer in my basement I can’t use because the extender hose set up by HD delivery and install is leaking. They rushed in, set it up incorrectly and rushed out the door. Didn’t bother to make sure it was functional. No one seems to care anymore about whether they do a good job. Out of all the appliances I’ve purchased from HD, I think one of them was a trouble free experience. So now, it’s more phone calls and my time, to try and fix the problem. Home Depot, please contract with a delivery company that actually knows what they are doing.
